Best bar app I’ve seen yet. So far this is, comprehensively, the best bar app I’ve had yet. If I were to give one request, it’d be to now layer in the brands and years of bottles, so you can keep track of specific bottles on your bar rather than “bourbon”. Other than that, keep it up!!

AMAZING. LOVE this app. Have been using it for a couple years now and absolutely love it. Only thing I would suggest for it is to add a filter option in the Cocktails that can be made from “my bar” options. Being able to filter which ones are set with certain liquor bases and filtering out certain liquors one may not be feeling. Otherwise, like I said, fantastic app!

The best cocktail app ever!. I just really love the way this app works, it's really fluid, fast easy and simple to put your ingredients, in have immediately every single cocktail option that you can make with that. Also, the design and the pictures of the cocktails really give you an idea of what will you drink.

Drink Discovery Made Easy. After reading reviews, I took a chance on this app. Good decision! Great tool to use to discover drinks for a variety of situations, or just for fun. I get most use out of it by entering my home ingredients and seeing exactly how many different drinks I could make. And also, how adding just a single more item to my home bar can open up several more options. Overall, an excellent resource for anyone with casual drinking interests, or even pro bartenders to increase their knowledge.

Beautiful, functional, and deep. Beautiful: Gorgeous and informative images for each beverage, paired with ambient backgrounds that nail the drink's tone. Layout, typography, and icon design are clean and sleek; an all-around beautiful app. Functional: Color-coded ingredients are a simple and intuitive way to enhance readability of recipes; very clever. Recipes are cleanly laid out and easy to follow. Search function and wish-list/favorite features are powerful. Deep: My Bar feature is well executed and comprehensive; I can't think of any missing ingredients. Beverage categories are a great way to organize and discover new drinks. Top searches are a great way to find popular beverages. Missing: The Martinez, one of my favorite classic drinks. A better way to sort and manage possible drinks in My Lounge.

Hate it when developers get greedy. So with Cocktail Flow’s latest version the developers want you to subscribe. Nothing wrong with that, in theory. But now, unless you subscribe, you won’t have access to a number of the recipes which were previously in the app! My daughter’s favorite - the alcohol-free Designated Appletini - gone! French Gimlet - bye-bye! And that’s just what I noticed after 30 seconds. This app never had that big a selection of cocktails... and now it’s even smaller. Yeah, that’s gonna encourage me to give these guys 5 bucks a month. You should probably look elsewhere at this point. There are much better-known cocktail apps containing significantly more recipes which only ask you to pay once - go with one of those.

The flow of cocktails. Cocktail flow has given me, a bumbling would be bartender, the knowledge to overcome my ineptitude with a handy, easy to use reference. I keep my phone with this great app hidden at the bar. When someone asks for a drink, I discreetly look up what is needed and pour the perfect concoction. Everyone has been so impressed with my “skill level” that I now have a reputation as a local libation master. This title has infuriated local mixologists who’ve spent thousands of dollars on their education and invested hundreds of unpaid hours in understanding what takes me just seconds to have mastered.

Great functionality... but with bugs. I LOVE the feature that lets me tell the app what I have on hand, then suggests recipes I can actually make with those ingredients. Unfortunately... it often suggest recipes with additional ingredients I *don’t* have. I can skip those, so it’s still usable. But it would be better if I didn’t have to tap in to some recipes, see that I can’t make them, then tap out again.

Good app, but missing some staples. Very handy app for learning about different cocktails, ingredients and substitutes. Love the feature that allow you to keep track of your bar supply and automatically tells you what cocktail you can make. Easy to use. Would deff recommend 👍🏽 Would have given it five stars except it’s missing the classic “Aviation” cocktail. That’s practically sacrilege!

Great, I'm just nitpicky. I LOVE this app! It's very useful and I'm happy I found it. I especially love the "My Bar" feature, where you put what ingredients you have and it tells you what you can make. That is probably my favorite. It's also very helpful that you're able to star certain drinks so you don't have to find them again. The only thing I'm bummed about is that the Premium Feature is a monthly/yearly payment and not at once. I probably would've gotten Premium if it wasn't paid over time. Just a small nitpick though. I love this app and I will use it forever!!

Useful to see what you can currently make. A couple suggestions to the developers: 1 the ability to make multiple lists would be really helpful. I like the favorites list but I also want to be able to make a list of things that I can make right now, a cocktail menu. 2 in the app, in My Lounge, when I look at the stack of cards it has lots of cocktails in there that I can’t make, even though I added all of my ingredients. I am guessing that it is showing things where I have all but one of the ingredients. I appreciate being able to see things that I can almost make with what I have, but would also really appreciate the ability to ONLY see things I can currently make if I know I don’t want to leave the house tonight. With those two features this app would be completely perfect! And I would be more ham willing to pay a few bucks for it. Keep up the good work.

Great. Wish this app still got updated. Seems kind of abandoned. Still really good though but missing some ingredients. Also being able to share recipes on like a social platform would be a nice addition. The pantry system makes this app what it is. But as a dedicated alcoholic it eventually lacks depth.

Nice bartender’s friend.. Great search function. Have an ingredient that you want like to work into a cocktail? No problem. Want to know about liquor flavors? This app covers it. I also like that recipes are given in proportions instead of units so you can scale based on the number of cocktails you are making or the volume of liquor still in your bottle. I wish it would allow you to import or create recipes - my only knock on this app.

Such a cool app. Oh this app is awesome, you list what ingredients you have in your bar, fridge, spice rack, and other places and it tells you all the drinks you can make. Alcoholic & Non. I only wish my wife & I could buy it straight out instead of a monthly or yearly subscription. But so far it is worth the $4.29 we each paid this month.

Perfect for those tired of simple mixed drinksZ. I have a huge alcohol selection and get tired of just whiskey cokes or vodka sprites etc. This app is great for finding a drink to fit your mood and your selection. It's also great for expanding your drink horizons! A must have for any young adult trying to learn cocktails to impress their friends or dates.

Good in theory, but almost useless if you don’t pay. This app looks great, and sounded like an awesome idea. Load your ingredients in, and it will give you a list of the cocktails you can make with those ingredients. I took the time to load my whole liquor cabinet in, as well as mixers and other ingredients, and I got one, yes ONE cocktail recipe - and it was literally “mix bourbon and amaretto at equal parts”. It said there are more recipes if I subscribe. Either charge for it up front or make it free, but don’t scam us with a free version that is useless. I’m deleting and looking for something else.

Kind of fun. This is a fun cocktail app, and I’ve been enjoying adding to “my bar”. However, it is frustrating that they don’t have options for different flavored whiskeys or butterscotch, peppermint or root beer schnapps. Also couldn’t find an option for sweet N sour mix. Oh well, maybe they’ll add it on one of their updates.

Some great features but would suggest more options. The base functionality is quite good. I had an old app where I had many custom recipes stored. However it has been removed from the App Store and I lost access to all my recipes. Been trying Cocktail Flow and it has many of those same features so I’m generally pleased with the app. However, after subscribing to the premium features, I was disappointed by some of the limitations with creating custom recipes. E.g.: allow custom recipes to specify glassware and portions/servings so that the number of servings can scale up ingredients like in the stock catalog.

It has its limits. Nice app, especially adding what cocktails you can make from your own bar items, however, it doesn’t allow you to suggest to the owners to add other items such as types of gin, types of whisky, types of rum. In fact there are no recipes using Spiced rum. I won’t renew my subscription after my year is up unless they make the app more intuitive.

Directions often don't make sense. I have no idea what a"a piece of egg" might be and have yet to receive a response to my inquiry. Also, some ingredients are given in ratio (one part of this and two parts of that) but another ingredient is a specific amt like 1 tsp. Clearly the teaspoon ingredient would change depending on how much each of those "parts" were. Again, no response to inquiry as to what one should assume is a "part" in a recipe. Not working well so far.

The new update makes this a five-star app. This is by far my favorite cocktail app, and it has only gotten better with the new update. Popular cocktails that were suspiciously absent from the previous version have been added. The visuals are slick and look great on the iPhone 6. Awesome app all around!

Love it!. I love this app! It has given me so many new drinks to try! It has soooo much potential to be better but considering what it is, I’m pretty happy with it. I would like there to be a strength category. Also, it would be nice if you clicked on surprise me and you didn’t like what you see, you could hit a “refresh” button to load another one instead of having to back out to the main menu and enter it again. I would also like to see different variations of these drinks. For example, the rattle snake recipe in here calls for absenthe but every rattle snake I’ve ever had does not have it. Also, the ones I have had use southern comfort and this recipe doesn’t. Minor flaws, but overall, an excellent app. Especially if you want to broaden your horizon. I know there’s other suggestions I have, but cannot think of them right now.

Add Strength Sorting. Love this app so much. It’s the only app I’ll ever be using when working with cocktails from now on. My only gripe is that while the strength levels are very nice to know, it would also be nice to be able to have a sorting feature. Mainly, by strength levels, but alphabetical and other orders would be a feature I doubt anyone could possibly complain about if added. Other than that, this is my go-to and probably will always be in the future. Edit: I mean adding the same sort function that’s in the cocktail section into the “my bar” section where you can sort through the possible cocktails for your bar by strength, or ingredient or whatever.

Amazing update. I hadn't updated this app in a while...but once I did, I was completely stunned by the complete overhaul made. The interface is so easy to use, awesome filters, easy search, and so many useful features like showing the alcohol strength while browsing through the recipes. Great, great app.

Great resource. This is a great resource with great functionality. I highly recommend for someone like me who likes making cocktails regularly, but doesn’t have an encyclopedic memory of recipes and booze. Some things that would put this app over the top into amazing: * The ability to link ingredients from a custom recipe to the pantry list (so the custom recipes might show up when looking at the recipes you can make with stuff you have) * the ability to make custom pantry items that can be linked to existing recipes (paired with the other suggestion, of course)

Beautiful app but crazy subscription cost. This is a beautifully designed app and that deserves to be paid for and not cluttered but ads. But $4/mo or $20/yr is insane. Are cocktails High-technology that goes out of date every year?? Offer a time price and I’d probably pay it. Offer paid packages of “new” cocktails each year if that’s a thing. Maybe this makes sense for professional bartenders. For me it doesn’t. I’ll go elsewhere for cocktail advice.

Love the inventory function. I love the app so far, especially the ability to note my inventory and see what I can make from it. It would be great if the app recommended additional purchases for spirits and mixers based on the number of drinks that could be made with each.

It’s good. Overall, this is a very solid app. I’m not sure how some people were only recommended one or two cocktails. They just need to stock their bars better. I don’t even feel like I have that much, but it still showed 60+ cocktails i could make. Also, people are ripping on this app for costing $4 a month. I think that’s perfectly fair for the convenience of having all the drinks in one place with a nice interface. Also, if you use this app at least once a week, it’s less than a dollar per use, and there are a million other ways you can save $1 per week. Dark mode would be very nice though.

Fantastic but incomplete. I really like this app. Love how simple it is to use and love the design. However, the cocktail list is incomplete.. it's obviously impossible to know every cocktail in the world, but I would suggest a feature to edit the list. Maybe add cocktail recipes to one's own view, or add a way to send recipes to the app managers so they can upload more cocktails. Also, what I think would be a BIG improvement is to let users get a small description of each ingredient, maybe with a picture too, by tapping on the ingredient.

Wow!. All I can say is, at last! A bar app that does exactly what you expect from an app that was designed with a new iOS version in mind (As opposed to others that still look like they were designed for iOS 4). I love the interface, the recipe selection, the images of the drinks, and the my bar feature seems to actually work well. I would easily spend money on this! Keep up the wonderful work guys!!

Decent App but Ridiculous Price. I’m fine paying for an app; developers gotta eat too, but a subscription just to get a list of cocktail recipes I could get online for free is insane. Subscriptions make sense for platforms that are continually posting new content like movies and articles, but no one is using this app expecting dozens of new cocktail recipes every month. A single payment for premium would be fine, but no way am I paying $4/month just to get some extra recipes.

I'm liking it a lot.. The interface is very smooth for this app. Easy to use and not overly clunky or crowded (an issue I found with a few comparable apps here). This isn't going to give you a list of every cocktail known to mankind. But it's got a super solid list of anything you'd realistically want to make. Plus, I really like the feature in which you can select the ingredients you have on hand, and it'll tell you what you can make (there may be one or two ingredients in a suggested cocktail that you don't have, but chances are these are basic things like limes or tonic that you really ought to have anyway). So overall, yes. I highly recommend this app.

Great Mixology App. I've been using this app for 2 days and have already tried many drinks that I would have never come up with on my own. There is a feature that allows you to put in all of the liquor, beer, wine and mixers that you have in your bar. The app will then tell you recipes that you can make with what you have. I can't recommend this app enough. Give it a try!!

Amazing to see what you can make.. This app was a huge part of my path to learning cocktails. The ability to see instantly what I can make with my current ingredients is really usefull for someone learning cocktails. My one complaint is that there is a ‘surprise me’ function, but it often suggests cocktails that I don’t have ingredients for. This app would be 5 stars if I could randomly choose a cocktail from what I can currently make.

Pricing structure is ridiculous. I’ve liked Cocktail Flow for a while: it’s got a good interface, has handy features (like keeping a “pantry” to help determine what drinks you can make), and has a decently large if relatively standard selection of cocktails. There are a few things that are off, like some of the recipes being copied to the app wrong, or the pantry feature having a relatively small selection of less basic liquors and mixers, or some cocktails being made oddly simple to fit in better with their sorting and ingredient database. Nevertheless, I thought it was the best iOS app for most purposes. But... the pricing. I didn’t mind it too much when I first started using it, and it had a few $.99 -$2 cocktail packs that were mostly seasonal or other special occasion related. However, ever since the big revamp I think the pricing is kind of ridiculous: $20 a year or $4 dollars a month just to use this app that’s just doing what dozens of other apps and websites do, for free or just a single payment? When you look at the lists, more than half of the cocktails, including some very basic ones, are premium, which is incredibly frustrating. I know app developers have to make money somehow, but I would rather have just paid $5 once and had a few small IAP for seasonal collections at the worst, or something. But just adding some improperly transcribed cocktail recipes copied from someone else’s cookbook? Not worth it

The “update” is just reduced content, inconvenience, and overpriced membership. Visually, this is by far the most polished cocktail app. Previous versions had some limitations in terms of content but no app can have everything. There were some inconsistencies in the measurements that have not been addressed for years. These are irritations that can prevent an app to get a perfect score, but it was a very decent one. The picture changed with the new release. What the new version “adds” is a reduced list of cocktails and inability to import previously purchased content unless one kept the receipts (who and why would keep all receipts over the years?). Very curious what market research was done to justify the premium subscription prices... good luck with your plan. Very disappointing developments.

Good for beginners and professional bartenders. Excellent apps. It has tips and the in-depth details for the ingredient for drinks. I like the option where you can name what you have in cabinet and the app calculates what drinks can you make and, substitute ingredients, history behind liquors, various amount for serving in different volumes.

Probably malware—DO NOT DOWNLOAD. I am such a sucker for paying for a yearly subscription. This app charges to access all but the most common cocktails and even those are sometimes not quite right. I should have seen it before, that it was fishy. Unfortunately enough people love it that they give it glowing reviews on here and meanwhile they are having their device clipboard (or other device clipboards if Handoff is enabled) scraped for sensitive data like passwords and bank account numbers, and thank goodness iOS shows a notification every time it happens.

Add photos to “My Cocktails”. So far I love the app. I even paid for the premium version. However, I would LOVE to be able to add photos when I create my own cocktails in the paid version so that I can show customers the finished drink. I think aesthetics are very important and sometimes I let customers pick a drink USING this app and pictures are KEY!!

Gorgeous interface, fun to use!. This app is beautiful and fun to use. I have been looking for something like this, and it does everything I wanted. The photos are really nice and makes it fun to browse and find different drinks. The “My Bar” feature makes it easy to find drinks based on what you have. 5 stars for sure!

Very useful app for getting into mixology. I like that it can show you recipes based on what you already have. I think it would be really cool to add a feature where it shows what would be most useful to buy next by showing what drinks add the most available recipes based on what you already have so you know what drinks to buy next

Like the app, but it could be better. Including reviews for the different recipes is a must. Not just your own review either so you know what drinks are good to try. Also, a sort feature and drinks based on your likes would be nice as well. I like the layout of the app and things are pretty easy to find. It just needs a little more work to bump it up to a 5 star

The best cocktail app. I recommend this app to all of my friends who, like me, are trying to dive into the cocktail world with some knowledge. This all is a great source when trying to combine ingredients and things get overwhelming. I love the bar assistant aspect as well as being able to pick an individual ingredient and immediately having several cocktails pop up with measurements, origin, needed glassware, and the abv strength. Thanks guys!

Excellent app. I love all the features here, especially sorting by "themes" and drink type, and the personalized liquor cabinet recipes is fantastic. And it's visually lovely and easy to use! The one thing that would really make it perfect - 6 stars - would be if we could create and/or edit existing recipes for our own favorites list (i.e. no uploading of unvetted recipes, just local copies). That would make this my true one-stop shop for all things cocktail-related, rather than needing to stash my own list of personalized recipes elsewhere.

Waiting for next version. Overall I was happy to find this app. From the description it sounded like what I needed and it has a lot. I will be using it, but it has a feel that the app is geared for the beginners. Here are few options that it was missing for me: When a user fills out “My Bar”, the app gives the option to select the ingredients ( that is an excellent feature). The issue is that selection is extremely limited. There are hundreds of gins, vodkas, scotchs, etc... available and they can taste as totally different beverages. For example, In my pantry, I have 6 different gins that have very different botanicals 1. There is no place to add new pantry items 2. there is no place to add the flavor profile of the beverage 3. The cocktails do not have profile descriptions. 4. Some recipes were changed from original. This forces the user to check the recipe with other sources. 5. Since there are no unique cocktails, why would anybody pay $3.99 per month. This makes no sense. 6. It would be nice to have an option to create a shopping list where users can put items that they need to buy on the next shopping trip. 7. Since some of the items are hard to find, it would be nice to show local places that might carry them. 8. Ingredient substitution. For example, some gins have similar profile while others will change final taste.

Best update for any app ever!. This new update is incredible! The app was great before but this takes it to a whole new level. The interface is great and fits in perfectly with all your native iOS8 apps. They've even added new recipes, ingredients, and categories! Not to mention the fantastic artwork throughout. Really couldn't be happier with this app.

Hate the New Update - Bring Back the Old One. I used to absolutely love this app and used it everyday. Not anymore. With the recent update a lot of the recipes that were there before are now gone. I miss the “search for anything” option. Being able to search on an ingredient was one of the options I used a lot. A lot of things it used to do and have it no longer does even with a paid subscription. Wish I had not bought it. If any of the developers are reading this, is there anyway I can get a refund? Probably not. After this review, I’m off to find another app. There has to be another one in the App Store that is better than this.

Liked it for a while … then I got in deeper. Bought the year subscription, and liked many of the recipes but as I ventured further into the recipes, I found more and more recipes with missing or wrong preparation steps. “Corn and Oil” lists one set of ingredients but prep steps are something entirely different. No easy way to tweak a recipe to the balance you like. Painful to enter your own recipes, and they don’t have the “scale” setting, nor are they very attractive. Canceled my subscription and now trying Mixel.

Must have bar app. I love that I can input everything I have and it tells me what drinks I can make. It’s very clean and beautiful app. It makes it fun to keep scrolling and learn new drinks. I love the themes you can search for like Halloween drinks or drinks based on activities or moods. I’m just learning about making drinks and setting up my bar and I couldn’t have found a better app. Thank you developers!

Could be amazing!. Love the idea of this app. How convenient to be able to list your cabinet and see what drinks you can make. But there are many of really basic mix-ins are not listed in any section. One of the developers should walk down the aisles at a top notch liquor store and mark down every add-in (especially all the flavored liquors and bitters) to include in their next update.

Doesnt need to be a subscription!. The app is cool but it’s basically a glorified database with a pretty UI - nothing in here justifies a monthly subscription. Id absolutely pay a one time purchase for a premium upgrade, but theres no chance I sign up for montly payments for this app.

LOVE IT!. Absolutely love this app! The app gives a massive range of cocktail choices, the cocktails are arranged in categories from summer to winter to different locations. As well the app makes you aware of each cocktails strength (from mild to strong also giving you a percentage of alcohol in each cocktail). You can also choose a list of cocktails base upon spirt incase you don’t have a variety of spirts in your cupboard to choose from then you will still get an idea of what you can make. The cocktail recipes are also extremely clear to understand, they tell you what is in every cocktail as well and what kind of glass they are served in to what garnishes are on or in the glass. You can also create your own personal list of cocktails that you save from the app that you are interested in so that you can try making them later on.

On it. Awesome app great fun at party's good range of cocktails

Soooo useful!!. So many options. I loved that you can put what have on the shelf and it will tell you what you can make. It also gives you suggestions on what to buy based on your shelf to increase your options. Easy to use and great images are a plus!

Monthly/Yearly fees. To someone who wants to try an odd combo from time to time, this app seems a little too expensive.

👌🏼. Perfect for party's and get togethers. Added with some flair its an awesome app. Also great to show customers who are inquiring into a certain drink!

Good value. Very good. Has the main ones. I like the apps suggestions on what you have on hand, to make. Can't see how they could make better. Its straight to the point without lots of fluff

Oh no~~. I like the last version which I can browse over 150 different drinks offline, and I like that layout design, feels fancy and cool. Now, I just wanna puke on this one.

Broken recipes. This app has beautiful art but and a decent selection but about 10%+ of its recipes just have straight up bugs. Missing quantities, ingredients switched with a different recipe in the method, database tags showing up instead of ingredients. I’ve tried reporting them but I don’t get a reply from the dev and the app hasn’t been updated for 3 years despite advertising new drinks being added as a feature of the premium subscription. A real shame

Good, but not quite. Good layout and easy to use, but two important drawbacks. The first is that there are some serious drinks missing from the list of ingredients. The second is that the cocktails it says I can make include ingredients which are not in the list of gradients that I have entered as having.

Fantastic app, needs an update. Its an amazing app, with great cocktails, however it needs an update, ive used the windows 8 version and its fantastic. If you could bring it up to same level (and add iphone 5 screen support) it would be 5 stars!!

Almost perfect cocktail App. As with the previous review, I don't think u need to change measurements, 1 part is 1 part, wether it be a shot, litre, gallon and so on. One thing though, make sure you haven't missed the steps... French 76 for example, champaign is an ingredient but it doesn't say what to do with it, I haven't found any other problems like it as I only downloaded it yesterday. Besides that, it's an excellent app, thank you for taking the time to put this together, and for free.

Great.. I have only just started using this app but so far it is great. I am in AUS and we measure in millimeters so it would be good to have the option to change the settings to mLs. Easy to use app and no glitches thus far.

Needs more drinks. Amazing UI, makes searching for drinks fun, needs more things to search for however

Great. Missing a few drinks put the great UI makes up for that. Would be nice to backup/sync your bar & favs with other iOS devices & iCloud.

Love it!!. Absolutely love the app, so easy to follow, easy to make and very easy to drink. We made about 10 different sorts of cocktails.

Unnecessary Paywall. For the love of god why does every single app have to be subscription based? It’s a cocktail app. This information is readily available elsewhere but they put things behind an arbitrary paywall. This is just pathetic. It’s a shame because the app is extremely well designed and pleasant to use. But I’m not paying for cocktail recipes.

Fantastic coctail app. Incredibly user friendly and easy to use but at the same time provides many features and deatils. It has become my favorite. The only thing that can be improved, which would make the app far perfect, to be able filter the “favorite coctails” and “my coctails” sections. I.e if I want to drink Gin tonight, I just filter my favorite coctails with gin. Thank you.

Great App. This app is really smooth to operate with plenty of ways to choose a drink. My favourite is inputting your drinks into "my bar" and then you can see all the drinks you can possibly make with those given ingredients. Only criticism is online requirement, would prefer artwork to cache for offline viewing.

Fabulous. Great cocktails and so many fabulous ones to choose from🍸

Pretty poor. Finds very few drinks with selected ingredients. Different app same ingredients yeilds much better results.

Great app, needs a minor change. This is a great app. Really useful & is lots of fun to use. You should change the measurements schematics though. As oppose to saying "1 part X & 3 parts Y" you should put it in proper ml measurements or at least in shots (eg, 1 shot of vodka, 1/2 shot gin)

Good. Good range. Wouldn't mind an Aussie dollar option, but otherwise a good app - have $4 on hand to get all the cocktails though. Even just free ones are a good selection. More options, more cocktails - looking forward to it. Also, showing what I can make from what I have - top stuff.

A great app, abandoned?. Cocktail Flow has always been a solid mixology app, going back to their WP7 days. Being able to add your available ingredients and filter by those is invaluable. Unfortunately, the app appears to be abandoned, with support requests going unanswered. Modern iOS features remain absent. As such, it feels dishonest to offer and charge people an ongoing subscription. Subscriptions are meant to be the incentive to continue development, but if the latter isn’t forthcoming, don’t offer the former.

Comes up short on the cocktails. Good looking app and able to add ingredients. But was surprised that, with 40 plus ingredients (many of them common) app could only suggest 2 cocktails (3 more if pay for the premium package). Despite that, I’ve been making dozens of cocktails with that selection from my local bottle shop’s cocktail guide. So, underperforms and relies on in app purchasing to obtain any real value.

Lovely UI. But a bit light on recipes. Love the shopping list idea, would be great if it showed some more.

Great cocktail. I thanks u guys for a lovely app because of it I can through great cocktail party with friends save money ...

Double dipping. Got the app ages ago and paid for all the add one now I f I want full functionality again I have to continue paying for it

Poor Handling of subscription updates. Paid for this app and now locked out of premium content. Bad communication and product model transition! Subscription price to high for an annual sub. Not really worth the coin.

Great app. Useful recipes for making cocktail. I hope you can upgrade to support iOS 6. Then I will buy more packages. Cheers!!!

Best cocktail app. Used few apps already, is one is the best by far! Free and paid versions are highly recommended

Thank you!. I've never written a review before. I've never felt I needed to. But this is the exception! Perfect. This app is perfect! Thankyou so much for this. Keep up the great work!

Excellent. Great app with a Nice design. Lots to choose from

Great. Fantastic app. Great to have these on hand.

Needs an update. Great app but has been abandoned, please just update with new recipes

Impressed. I have to say I'm impressed with this app. Beautiful design and presentation and quite a few cocktails. 44mb seems like quite a lot of hd space for the ap though...

Excellent. Easily the best cocktail app available on the iPhone. Very informative, lots of drinks out-of-the-box, the in-app purchases look to be excellent value too. Keep up the great work guys.

Errmm photos?. Photos on the app don't load. Really has missed out on the main selling point to use the app

Not to bad!!!. Really awesome app & do much fun to use, only thing is need to add a lot more liqueurs for many more mixes!! Please :)

Looks fantastic...but. So many of these cocktail recipes are off the mark or missing ingredients.

No pimms?. Are you kidding me? No pimms? Waste of time. Find another by people who actually know what they're doing.

Not really free. Costs to buy extra recipes.. I'll get them for free, thanx

Perfect. As an app developer myself, I would have to say that the developers of this app have done an amazing job with this app. Well done!! Best designed app on the App Store!!

Average at best. It looks great, but there is basically 0 variety in the free version, which is a little dodgy

Love this app. I originally got the app for my htc phone, which I love, then thought I would look for it for my iPad. The app is great! So easy and interesting to use. Love it

Great App. Very helpful, easy to navigate, and plenty to choose from

A Qulified View. I have a diploma of cocktails and mixed drinks from way back in 1980. Cocktail Flow is broad ranging, accurate and easy to use. Many modern “Barmen” should use it and adhere to it. DJ

Great app. The option to choose what's on your shelf and it tells you what you can make is great! Exactly what I wanted. Even better it gives you options on what you should buy to increase the amount of cocktails you can make. Good range of cocktails and shots, could be increased, but overall a top app !

Ecellent user experience. Sleek design, excellent user interface, clear menu which all together givw you an excellent user experience, highly recommend it👍

Money grab. I used to love this app and 6 months ago I would have given it 5 stars. After introducing the premium membership the app is hardly worth using anymore. Many cocktails that I had made before are now locked as premium content. I’ll be looking for a new app.

This is perfect!. Im so happy having this apps it’s a perfect and ideal for new bartender…Awesome!

Fantastic. Really a great app... endless selection of cocktails. Five stars!

My first review.. Not sure how many star I should give. I mean the app is fenomenal but the premium feature is total garbage. Developers absolutely destroyed their market.

Good app but missing some things. Has an insane selection of cocktail recipes however they are missing some key cocktails and some of the recipes are wrong. Still gets a 4/5 stars.

Love it!. Amazing app!!! Wish i could personalize ‘My Lounge’, but amazing nonetheless

Literally the best!!!!. Im a waitress/bartender and this app is incredible!!! It helped me SO MUCH!!! 100% recommend

Pay?. You have to pay now to see certain drinks when it use to be free they see all.

Question. Qu’est-ce qu’est une parts ???

Perfect!. The best app, thought of everything for you, I love the photos, substitute recommendations, measurement changes based on portions, measurement metric changes, ratings for how strong drinks are, percentage alcohol of each drink. They honestly thought of everything for you, can’t believe I didn’t discover this until yesterday!!

Amazing!!. This app has so many cool features. I was only looking for an app with cocktail recipes but this one has way more things which makes it super practical and fun to use. Totally recommend

was a great app!.... was a good app before the update but now i have to pay for a subscription for some drinks that were free before, very bad move from the dev... team! i don’t think I’m gona enjoy this app like i use too... only the future will decide if i keep it or not...

Pointless. What is the point of a free cocktail recipe app if you have to pay to actually see the recipes? Pointless waste of space.

Awsome app. Easy to use and yummy drinks

Bummer. Recent update made this app less useful. Now you have to be a “premium” member to see certain recipes. Also, it no longer shows which drinks you can make with your own ( sometimes limited) bar selection, which was one of its best features.

Limited ingredients. Missing some ingredients I consider key to creating drinks for my palate (mezcal, cynar, to name the first two that came to mind). I was hoping I could add ingredients and keep track of what I had mixed but it doesn’t do that.

Disappointed with the premium features. I paid for the premium features so I can enter my own cocktail recipes but found that I can’t link them to the ingredients so there’s no way of knowing if I can make those cocktails. I can’t add picture either of my drinks. If only the custom drinks can have the same features as the regular drink recipes, this app would actually be useful. Right now I have zero desire to continue to pay for this

Great program. What a great idea .. one thing that would make it better would be if you could scan the liquors to add .

Awesome !!. Just awesome. Best app ever. Put the inventory of your bar and it show you cocktail that you can make.

Fun and easy. Easy to follow and understand. Really like the Measurements and being able to change units and quantity of servings. Tips are appreciated. Great app for the self admitted amateur bar keep. Fun to have at a party

Super simple!. Lots of drinks in the free version, and can sort by ingredients too.

Best drinks App. Best drinks App ever!!!

App completely broken. No longer displays images, recipes, nor receives updates. Completely useless since Skyscanner purchased Distinction in 2014.

By far the best cocktail app. I don’t review app often, but this one deserves the time! The interface is really easy tu use, intuitive and beautiful! It would be good to have specification of the alcool type when you click on it!

Perfect apps!.

Like old version better. Newest version is cluttered. Steps move from left to right and then diagonally to the bottom left. Old version moved step by step down.

Amélioration possible. Très bon, mais l’environnement français serait à améliorer.

Limited bar, drink recipes behind purchases. Half the stuff I stock in my home bar wasn’t available to load into theirs (including only 5 types of bitters), and the first cocktail I went to check out (last word) was behind a purchase wall. Not impressed for a first attempt at using it.

Was better last year.... Used to have suggestions when you say what you had in your bar. It used to suggest you what ingredient to add to make the most cocktails out of your bar. Was the best feature...

Premium member but can’t see Christmas cocktails. Seems like there is a bug that does not show the Christmas cocktails for premium members.

Great app. Intuitive, extensive, interesting, nice interface. The free selection of cocktails is vast, and you don’t get bombarded with offers to upgrade for a fee. Tips, explanations and option to find out more about ingredients are excellent. Would be nice to have a feature that would tell you what cocktails can be made with the ingredients you have.

Very cool. I support HotDog Bung Water

Fantastic. So user friendly! Truly makes mixing drinks easy and saves me so much time researching cocktails. Plus, you learn a lot if you are interested in mixology/bar tending. So glad to have this in my life.

Changes to app turned it into a money grab.. This used to be a great app until the changed it t and started charging people $27/year.

Premium = Subscription = Delete. Bye bye.

Premium costs too much. Love the app, clear instructions, helpful tips, tons of recipes. I just wish you didn’t have to pay so much to make notes/see premium cocktails

没有图片了. 为什么图片加载不出来了?

Worth downloading, thanks!. Easy to follow the instructions, enjoy every weekend.wish they add the pictures instructions.

Love the app. Very nice app

Tops. Love it!

Très bonne app’s !. Très bonne app’s, mais pour quand la version en français ??? Ça serait vraiment super !! 🙂

Good app of the year for cocktail drinker and maker, but a few flaw. App is great, convenient to search and well-organized, however there are a few cocktail I can’t find in there such as Singapore Sling, kinda disappointing

Promo code didnt work. Made two of my friends sign up for this app but it still didnt let us have the free stuff so like whats goin in here

Easy to use, decent feature, missing lots of cocktails. This app is by far the best cocktail recipe app available on iOS, but it is not by any means comprehensive. Many drink recipes and ingredient options are not available. I would rate this a 3.5 if possible. I do hope future updates add to this app.

App is Useless Without Paid Subscription. Just charge a small fee for the app. Otherwise, I’ll find free recipes, make free notes, and log my ingredients elsewhere - like in books. 🙄

Professionnel. Simple

The best Cocktail app. This App has a great design and structure with all the functions you need and very user friendly; if you’re a cocktail lover, you will double your joy with this app.

Best app ever. Straight-up one of the best designed apps I’ve seen in a long time. If you guys make premium features, I’d pay for them. Add new recipes and I’ll pay.

It was a great app but no more. It was great until it switched from free/packages-to-buy to free with not much or taking a subscription way too expensive. While i would be TOTALLY OK paying 25$ once for all, like many/most i won’t pay 25$/year, i am not the golden goose. You just just killed your market Also, the KILLER feature was being able to propose cocktails from your bar content instead of exploring cocktails where something is always missing. Why has it been removed? Too useful maybe?

If this is number 1 the rest must be terrible. I can make about 20 pre and prohibition era cocktails with the ingredients I have so I was looking for more. It tells me there are 4 cocktails I can make, (5 more in the premium version) how does the number one app have so few recipes? I’m guessing through marketing

Great app, here are 3 suggestions to make it better. Very well made app. I have 3 suggestions: first, it would be great if the app could recommend other ingredients to buy with tips like "based on the ingredients you already have, if you bought ingredient X, you’d be able to make these 12 additional drinks". Another suggestion: it would be nice to add a "Drinks I can make with my own ingredients" filter in the general cocktails section. This would solve the problem of not having filters in the My cocktails section. Finally, in addition to "Light", "Medium", and "Strong" drink strength attributes, it would be really nice to have flavor profile attributes like "Citrusy", "Sweet", "Bitter", "Sour", "Fizzy", "Floral", "Herbal", "Smooth", "Fruity", etc. to filter with.

Awesome app!. For a free cocktail app, this one is super nice! I love the interface and there are a ton of cocktails. Neatest thing though is building your bar and then having the app show you all the drinks that can be made with those ingredients. It's super useful and super fun!

Great concept but subscription required. The app is well designed (the my bar function is particularly nice), but they have two tiers of cocktails (normal and “premium”). You guessed it “premium” is an add on subscription. The good news,... a quick search on the internet still gets you the recipe.

Great app. Easy to use and extensive catalogue. My only request is that a small description of each drink is pulled from the book that it was found in. Not a lot, simply; origin, flavor summary, and perhaps a fun fact about the history of the cocktail.

Great app but needs one BIG improvement t. Love the app, but why, when I’m in the Surprise Me section, is there not a next arrow if I want to keep exploring? Seems a simple fix instead of having to go back and select Surprise Me again!

Majorly flaw. Beautiful looking app, if you just want recipes it’s nice. But the “My bar” feature is woefully lacking ingredients even though the same ingredients are in the recipes and ingredients lists. Plus it doesn’t integrate with the recipes, so doesn’t show you which cocktails you can make now.

Beautiful & functional. Gorgeous design and accomplishes what I need - keeps track of ingredients in my bar, suggests drinks based on my bar but also mood, easy to navigate. Definitely recommend!!

Quarter Parts?. Looks like a fairly robust compendium, whiskey choices aside (That whole rye vs. Canadian question is really a matter of taste, no? I personally lean toward VO in a cocktail....) What I wonder is what derfwad wrote recipes with quarter parts?! Not having a ml-graduated flask in my bar, I tend to mix martinis 4-to1, not 3-3/4 to 3/4. Really. Otherwise, a useful tool.

Need ability to easily share cocktail menu. The app is very useful, however, it would be great if you could easily share a menu of drinks to friends without handing over your phone.

Not worth it. I downloaded the app so I can experiment with new drinks only to find most of the recipes are behind a paywall. If it was a one time purchase I would understand and honestly cough up the 5 dollars. A subscription though? To save 2 minutes of googling? It’s not like these are hard to find recipes, so why try and charge people for them? I will just go use one of the many other apps or websites that work just as well for free

Meh. This app was great. When I first downloaded this app there were tons of free recipes but, now about 75% of the recipes can not view unless you pay $20 per month. That’s right per month. Sooo not worth it. As for the “hidden” recipes just google them. Save yourself $20/month. Would be an awesome app if weren’t for the fact that it requires a subscription for probably the best or most popular recipes. Overall it is a ok app for drinks.

1st Rate!. Finally, a beautiful drink app with accurate recipes. I must have downloaded a half dozen apps before I found this one. What's the use in having thousands of cocktails if you can't trust the recipe but with Cocktail Flow you can. It's a must have.

One of the best free cocktail apps on appstore. I've been using this app for years now. The app gets constant updates and already has thousands of professional cocktails detailed in instructions

Just let me buy Premium outright. The subscription model for the Premium version of the app is absolutely ridiculous. No amount of updates to what is basically a digital cocktail book could justify a monthly or yearly subscription fee. If you guys offered the app for like $10-20 to OWN, I would be more than happy to fork over the cash.

Mixologist Personified!. The app can turn a wannabe into an in demand mixologist for the local crowd. I have had great fun and success churning out fantastic libations. No real skill required unless you want to flip your bottles while pouring. Just follow the recipe and it will be all good!

Must have app for social gatherings. This app was a blast at my last few parties and family get togethers. Would be nice to have a rating system for drinks to make it perfect. Also my lounge is including drinks I don't have ingredients for.

Great details and amazing. I love this app, it has minuscule details about every liquor used in the cocktail along with procedure on how to go about it. I loved the way you guys show the animal next to cocktails collection in the 'cocktail strength' section. Visually the app is stunning and great interactions :)

Excellent Resource For Beginner Bartenders. Love the app and it’s definitely advanced over the years. But what CF needs to add is a wider selection of drinks for a more complete database. Excellent shots/cocktails like Scooby Snacks or a Tokyo Tea which are fairly mainstream aren’t found here. Please expand the database so it’s an even more valuable resource!

Where are the recipes. I just downloaded this app and started to browse through it. While the visuals and the graphics look great, I was extremely disappointed to find the first four cocktails that I clicked on all gave me the message that I needed to purchase a premium membership to see the recipes. Very disappointing and misleading. I will be deleting and choosing a different app.

User-friendly and sleek design. Love this app! More than recipes, there is an area for you to tell it what you immediately have on hand and it generates a list of cocktails you can prepare. Genius! The design is sleek and modern, and it’s very user-friendly. ❤️🍸❤️ Cheers!!

Pretty awesome!. My first review of any app, so that should tell you something. I love this app, it shows you all of the drinks possible with your ingredients on hand in your personal bar that you create! Definitely try a Ramos Fizz!

Seems to have everything but what I was trying to find. Doesn’t have penicillin (or the search doesn’t work). I downloaded looking for something comprehensive, the app has so many good things, but not my fav drink!

Almost perfect. It’s great at showing what cocktails you can create with the ingredients you already have at home. NEEDS the ability to showcase cocktails that you’re only 1 ingredient short of. That way you can explore new cocktails without going wild at the grocery store buying a ton of things.

parts and teaspoons?. I just downloaded this and I’ve been poking around. I love the functionality, but the recipes mix proportional and exact measurements. So you have ‘1 part this, 2 parts, that, and 1 teaspoon something else’. Huh? I’m going hope the parts were originally ounces, and try some out.

Regretting my subscription. Turns out that a nicely designed interface masks what is a very basic app. It does not have the feature most people want: drink recipes by cocktail. It’ll give you an overwhelming list of drinks you can make with every ingredient you have if you care to add them all. But what it won’t do is let you select a few ingredients and then suggest possible cocktails. Regretting my subscription.

Everything I was looking for.. I love being able to enter your liquor cabinet and be presented with all the cocktails that are able to be made with the ingredients that are on hand! Being able to select by base ingredient or color is handy as well!

Great for finding drinks for what you have. This app works great for telling you what drinks you can make with what you have in a pinch. The one thing that it needs to take it to the next level is to allow users to add their own recipes to "my bar."

Pricing Insanity. $3.99 a month subscription for cocktail recipes that you can find all of them over the web for free. Yes the application layout is nice but a cocktail recipe book does not belong in a subscription service. And I don’t even think the number of available recipes warrants more than a single charge of a few bucks. This should be add supported with the option of paying a one time fee that remove adds.

Great for entertaining. Nothing is more fun than bringing this out on my iPad and asking guests to select a drink from my menu. Great for entertaining and a fun way to discover new cocktails I'm able to make at home. Aesthetically pleasing, fantastic app!

Subscriptions are the death of good apps!. I used to love this app until they introduced the subscription and now recipes i even had favorited are behind a paywall! Incredibly unfortunate because the app is extremely well put together. I would much rather have an ad supported version than subscriptions. I would easily pay 15-30$ for this app upfront instead! If your on the old version don’t upgrade!!!

We’ll Done!. This app is among the best visual presentations I have ever seen. It is well laid out, easy to use, and very useful. The offerings are very comprehensive and I look forward to making this app a key addition to my home bar.

Updates please!. I’ve been using this app for over a year and love it except for the fact that updates really should happen more often and include more cocktails. I mean where is the “Contessa”?!?!

Great app. Love the app and interface albeit you guys should add a button that allows people to click on things they don’t know about. Like I wasn’t sure what angostura was so my immediate reaction was to click on it to find out. Just another raindrop on the world’s windshield talking though.

Very clean easy to use app. Way better than other apps I’ve used super clean and not hard to find the things you need. Great illustrations and directions

One of the best bar apps. This is a great app. I love that it does not use brand-specific recipes or require me to enter each brand for entering my own liquor cabinet inventory. Kudos to the design team too. Excellent interface, artwork, and usability. One thing I'd really like to see is the ability to browse by category or do a filtered search for drinks in "my bar". Good bye, Mixologist!

Perfect.. Very nice interface, easy to use and I love the "My Bar" screen where you can add your ingredients and get drinks you can make. However, most of the recipes are wrong so I use this app just to find, but not to make cocktails. Other apps have much better ingredient ratios so this one doesn't do well as a standalone cocktail app.

Awesome!!!!. I don't write reviews frequently, but this app push me to do it because this is a very user friendly application, extremely intuitive and easy to use. Well done!!!!

Nice interface but not thorough at all. Seriously, the My Lounge section is the most important part of any cocktail app... and this part of the app is absolutely terrible. Not sure if there is a cross-referencing glitch, but it’s really awful and not nearly as thorough as it should be. So, if you want a flashy looking cocktail recipe dictionary, this app is great for that — it’s pretty, however it’s embarrassingly too dressed-up with nowhere to go.

Super Intuitive, but please add Custom Ingredients!. I love this app so much, but my one request would be to add a custom ingredients option. A lot of tiki ingredients aren’t listed on the app and it would be super helpful to have them cataloged along with my cocktails!

Sells your email address. You have to log in to create an account/use the app. I decided not to keep the app because if you want to add what you have in your liquor cabinet, it requires the paid version. However, the next day, the email address I used to sign up has been spammed repeatedly. I recommend creating a dummy email account to use this app.

I’m confused, it’s awesome. This app makes beautiful use of color and has intuitive layouts, it’s super easy to use, easy to add every liquor etc you’ve got... and no ads or other annoyances?! Does this thing self-destruct after a week, or monitor my drinking and share it with my mom? It’s too nice to be free! :D

Don't like subscription. Used to like this more, and still a reasonable app to go to for themed ideas for cocktails. Main dislike is that so much of it is only available on subscription payment. I don't mind paying a little one-time purchase for the app, but I hate the subscription revenue model. This is not the kind of reference document for which a subscription commitment is useful or appropriate.

Missteps. While it’s intention is on point with layout, they copy recipes from other sources then turn around to sell to you in app form. The problem is many of the transcriptions are incorrect. They don’t respond to emails. And the cost is $20 a year? Too expensive and not worth that high annual expense. I could search recipes on Google. And did I mention they don’t respond??

The very best. No other available app in the category can compete. It works flawlessly, it’s beautiful, and most importantly I can now craft nearly 100 cocktails with my on-hand ingredients. Thank you!

Upgrade to get more recipes. Joke! Gives you only a few cocktails then tells you for $3.99 per month you can have access to more. Seriously?

Great but *way* overpriced. This app is slick and I do like it, but any time I hit the paywall, I just turn to Google, which is too bad since I typically enjoy purchasing apps I enjoy to support them, just can’t get behind a subscription for easily searchable content. I would only spend what they charge for one or two months to have premium access forever.

Smooth interface, easy to use bar manager. Wow. Thank you for making such a polished app in the store. The app is very easy to use and good for reference! Must download for every bar enthusiasts!

Unable to download. Unfortunately the app is unable to be downloaded. I've used it before and loved it but I've tried to redownload it on multiple devices today and I keep getting an error.

User friendly and very helpful.. I love this app! It's smooth, sleek, user friendly, and informational. I really enjoy the "kitchen" option where it'll tell you what you can make with what you have. Love!

Nice app but too expensive. Was great before update but now you need to buy a subscription to get a full list of drinks. Can get info for free anywhere but nice to have it all in one place. However $20 a year is a complete rip off. I’d pay $20 once maybe as it is a nice app but the information is available for free anywhere if you go looking.

Doesn’t work. I went through my home bar and and entered at least 12 different alcohols into the app. Was thrilled to see all the cocktails it would recommend to me...until it literally just recommended one. A Manhattan. I’ve tried restarting the app, to no avail. It’s a shame bc the interface is gorgeous, but I can’t understand how it only suggests ONE cocktail to me given the alcohols I have. I know of at least 5 off the top of my head that are viable, but the app doesn’t mention them
