AI art strikes again…. I used to play this game all the time a couple of years ago. It was my favorite! But I eventually fell out of it. I’d redownload it recently because I wanted to play it again, but soon after I found out that the developers fired all their artists and are using AI art now :( Please, for the love of god, use real artists. AI can’t replicate the hard work and effort they put into each piece. I’m deleting the game and making a mental note not to play any other Rayark games until they use real artists again.

Beautiful and Well-Crafted. This game has eaten countless hours of my life, and it still continues to do so. The controls are easy to handle on a smartphone and are even better on a tablet. The music is from many different parts of the world (the East especially) and there’s a wide variety of styles as well (though most are more electronic sounding).

Glitch??. I had this game back in the 2010’s and loved it. I just remembered this game and went out of my way to buy it for iOS and now the game doesn’t have any sound at all. I’ve turned my phone off and on again and even reinstalled the game but nothing happens. I tried going through app support and their website but there wasn’t anything to really help this problem. I hope something gets fixed soon, I want to play this game again!

ITS (almost) TOO HARD!. I nearly gave up on this game.... nearly gave it 1 star in frustration. It's very challenging, even on easy. But once I got into the flow of it and I stoped crashing and burning every 2 seconds then it's a good addictive flow. A tip: You gotta stop worrying too much when your start missing a few. And don't fixate on getting every single one down, trying to laser in on each one individually and the line going up and down crazy fast. Just get the process/flow going. You gotta keep paying attention to the order in which the orbs pop out and use the line as a guide for the timing (as well as the music, such a no-brainer but I wasn't considering that at first when I was freaking out). Then once you're in a flow you can see the order they're coming at you and you're more or less keeping up with the speed of the music and the line. Voila.

amazing game without any micro transactions so far. If you enjoy rhythm based games, you must download cytus!! At first i was disheartened by not seeing popular songs on there. But as I played the game I realized that this game has a very good music selection! there aren't any micro transactions for every song like most music games. instead it's divided into a lot of free chapters. I haven't found any place in the app that asks for money. GET THIS GAME!!!

I'm not a bot and I'm not being payed to say this.. This game is magnificent. Simply put, it's the pure embodiment of a rhythm game classic. So far, I've only played through the first chapter and let me tell you, it's been magical. Another thing, the game is literally only two dollars. Don't be a cheapskate and sell yourself short on this, because NOTHING in the App Store (for rhythm games) compares to this. It also has the CLEANEST and SMOOTHEST interface. No lag, no frame skips, no ads. It's actually unbelievable. Do yourself a favor... get this game.

Insanely Rewarding. This game is continually a challenge! I have went through possibly 3 phones (2 galaxy & 1 iPhone) over a 2 to 3 year period and Cytus is still automatically the GO TO GAME for rhythmic music fun. All of the episodes are different with great art and diverse styles and themes of music. Depending on the phone speed, lagging can be an annoyance. Notifications is the only issue for me which is reasonable, etc regardless this experience is so great I have bought almost all dlc on the galaxy version and I am still willing to repurchase the dlc again for iPhone. Amazing hand eye coordination game!!

Never going to be a waste of your time! 👏🏻. This is, in my opinion, the best game on the App Store. If you love rhythm games, then you would love this. More songs come in that keep you moving. Even pros get a little challenged, but if they don't then you get to enjoy many many awesome songs. Remember this game has a lot of content and will keep you playing till you may master the game. If your thinking about the game sleep on it but don't hesitate.

Amazing game. I love the music and the composition of the game. Extremely fun and somewhat addicting. The difficulties in each song are always fit for my speed. Depending on what kind of person you are, you can even do the more challenging level 9 songs. The chapters at the end cost money but I still work with what I've got. Another thing, don't listen to the people who say that the pause button doesn't work. All you have to do to pause is double click on the pause button and the game will pause.

Favorite Game of All Time. Hi! I just wanted to write a review while I waited for the game to (re)download as I was thinking about this. I’ve been playing Cyrus for a little under six years now! It has my favorite music and art, and no matter what I always come back to it. I’ll complete the game and then delete it, and a few years/month later it’ll pop up in my mind and I have a blast beating it all over again. The first time I heard of Cytus was in seventh grade and I love it as much now, if not more than I did then. This game has brought me some of my all time favorite songs that STILL get stuck in my head, and artwork i still reference when creating my own drawings. I never thought a music game would have such a long term impression on me, but it did. I’ll continue to love it after I beat this one, too. Thanks for creating my favorite set of games, Rayark! <3

A good start for Rayark. I’ve been a Deemo fan for a long time, and between Deemo 2 content updates I’ve decided to check out the rest of Rayark’s back catalog. Cytus was first, and it has some flaws that were corrected in Deemo: specifically, there’s very little story, and the tapping doesn’t always feel connected to the music. Still, there are lots of songs, mostly of the dark instrumental variety I enjoy, at a low price.

This is such an amazing game to keep the mind sharp and exercised!. I’ve been playing this game for years now and it’s still my #1 game to come back to! It’s got such a great variety of songs and artists! I love the complexity of the various levels but sometimes I feel like level 9’s aren’t all equal and some should be rated higher. Either way, best game of all time for me (thus far).

Solid fun rhythm game. I came to play this game from the DJMax collab and wow this game never fails to impress me! It’s super fun to play (except for Freedom Dive hard (the ultra difficult one) :P) and the songs.. oh man, the soundtrack in this game is incredible. My favorite songs are by ICE, super talented artist. The game itself doesn’t take too much to learn and it was well worth my $2. Highly recommend!

Best rhythm game on the iPhone. At first I was unsure about the game but this is one of my favorite rhythm games. Even though its pretty lenient with its timing to get Perfects, it still gives a really good challenge. There should be a better way to rank the songs though (3-9) Especially on hard where some rank 9 songs are easy but some rank 9 songs are insane.

To good to be True- Except it is.. A friend showed me VOEZ on his Switch, and that prompted me to try this. Having never played a Rayark game before, I was blown away by pretty much every aspect of this game. From a design perspective, this is a lot more free flowing than the standard rhythm game. In many ways this plays like a smooth fusion of a puzzle game and a rhythm game. Doing well is visually rewarded by the charming and slick design of the user interface, so you do have an intrinsic reason to want to improve. To sum up the gameplay, if you grew up with Guitar Hero and DDR, this plays like nothing you have seen before. As a final point, I’d like to point out how fairly this game is priced. Two dollars gets you almost 130 songs with no playtime limits or freemium tricks, each with multiple difficulties. Buying all the dlc runs about 35$, but boosts the song roster to 200+. I will absolutely invest in such a fair and robust product, and will be certainly watching this dev in the future.

Wow.... Apparently, a long time ago, some of the later chapters were locked behind IAP. Now chapters 1-10 and three bonus chapters are all free. That's well over 100 songs, with both easy and hard modes, for a mere two bucks. And of course the simplistic and engaging rhythm game mechanics Rayark is known for. And more songs available if you just can't get enough. And it doesn't want you to be online all the frigging time. If you like rhythm games and don't care if most of the songs with lyrics are sung in straight Japanese, by all means get this.

#2 But still underrated. I'm sure the main reason this game hasn't had an update in forever is because of the heavy Japanese influence in it. (Every new 1,000,000 players means 10 new songs) To all of you on the fence about this game because of how there's anime music and you don't want to feel like a "weeb" for playing it, lighten up. Music is music, and you aren't any less of a person for liking music from another country. For the gameplay... it's awesome, and just like i remember it back when i first tried this game on a friends' Vita. Challenging as all hell, large selection of songs (roughly 150, the other 50 or so are from in game song packs, or dlc chapters), very responsive, and just a ton of fun. I honestly doubt you'd be able to find a better music game out there, unless you like another music game from these devs even more, lol. In short, it's worth well beyond $2 and if you're looking for a game like this one, give it a try.

Such a great game. The game itself is very fun, the songs are super catchy and there a range of different styles that can suit whatever you feel like listening to, and the game is very challenging and makes me want to get better and better at the song and hope for as perfect of a score I can get Sadly, some of the chapters you have to pay for, and it is a shame, because I really like some of the previews for some, and I don’t want to pay for things in a game I already paid for, but that can’t be helped. Still a very fun, enjoyable game to pass the time!

AMAZING!!. I saw a guy playing this game on the subway. I didn’t hear the music as he had headphones in. The music is amazing and by far my most favorite game on the App Store. COMPLETELY WORTH THE 2.99!!! Now that I have the game I would have paid more for it. The music is addicting. I had a whole folder full of games on my iPhone. I just deleted them all. I only need this one. Download and buy. You won’t regret it!!! AMAZING!! AMAZING!! AMAZING!!!

This game is amazing!. Not only is this my first time playing a rhythm game but it is also my first time getting so invested in a mobile game. The way that you guys gave us one hundred and thirty free songs to start of with is amazing. You guys know how to treat your fans, and I appreciate that. The way that all these artist came with different sounds, and made a masterpiece is amazing. Keep making great titles like this!

AMAZING GAME. I've been looking for cytus to go on sale for a while now, because ever since my friend showed this game to me a year ago I've wanted in on my own phone; it took a few months, but now I lucked out and got the game while it was free, worth a lot more than the standard .99 I believe this game is usually sold at. If you like music and replay ability then pick this game up even if it's not free

Same pros as Deemo...and cons. Another great game by Rayark, with the same ups and downs of Deemo. This game is really awesome, especially if you’re a fan of Osu (pretty much the closest you can get to osu on your phone, as far as I know). This and Deemo are definitely my favorite mobile games, though Deemo is definitely more difficult by a fair bit. That being said, like Deemo this app suffers from a horrendous interface on phones with screens similar to the iPhone X and 11. Swiping to hit notes near the bottom of the screen frequently closes the app accidentally, and swiping near the top pauses the game to show the Notification Center. The home screen bar covers the bottom part of the screen, so it’s impossible to see the text there in the song select screen. Additionally, getting combos greatly obscures the screen, and the notes can obscure each other as well. It would be nice to be able to disable the combo text and to be able to change the size of the notes (like how Deemo allows you to adjust the speed).

Great Game!. I honestly never write reviews but this game is fantastic. I've had the game since it first launched and it has not ceased to amaze me. If you're someone who loves music games, this is a great game because a it offers two difficulties and there are soo many songs available (not to mention that they keep adding more). It's a great buy, and I highly recommend it!

Spectacular. I absolutely love this game! I bought it back in the summer of 2015, and I'm still addicted. It had a good variety of songs and difficulties to keep you entertained and challenged. The animation and colors are fantastic, and the stories are very interesting. Rayark keeps putting out new chapters which makes me so happy! Each one is as good and the last. Some cons to the game are that it is difficult to play the harder songs on the smaller phone screen so I use my iPad. Sometimes that animations for combos can be distracting when the pop up over the screen during a song. They have also removed the achievements, but this is probably just Apple's Game Center and not Cytus. Overall, I cannot recommend this game enough. It's fun and challenging with hundreds of fantastic songs that will keep you playing for hours!

Really well made. Nostalgic at this point, but I contend that some of these songs are absurdly difficult for phone users. On tablets I can reliably use both of my hands, on these small phones it just feels downright unfair with how fast and how many notes there are for some songs especially in the latter chapters. I think there’s only a song or two I don’t have a passing grade on, but it is only because of pure panic and desperation to spam anything my mind can process.

It’s average. The music and the style of the game is great! There’s just a few things that need fixing. One of things is organizing the songs. There should be a list of all the songs and not just by chapters. Another thing that need fix is the black fade that happens when you click on the note. When you have to click on many notes, there’s a lot of black fades which makes it harder to see the other notes.

first time. its my first time playing a game by this company or person BUT i love it already! the visuals, music, background and everything is so beautifully made and its so fun and challenging! i haven't looked through all the songs yet but i've seen the chapters and there were quite a few so im glad i have a wide variety of songs to check out! OVERALL I LOVE IT! thank youu

Great game! Very challenging!. Only con I have of this game is that it’s not big phone friendly. So much thumb stretching. Especially when the buttons are in the middle on the screen. So I tried playing with one hand like a keyboard but nope, can’t do that either. Lol. But yea if only there was like a way to adjust screen size or the buttons locations, it would be great.

My fingers fell off. After playing this game for three days straight, my fingers were hitting so hard against the screen, they fell off. I’ve spent the last hour trying to put them back on, but to no avail. Sent help. If anyone else has this problem, let me know. And a warning to anyone else who’s fingers might fall off.

Great Game, But.... This is one of my favorite go to games to play with amazing art and amazing music. The 2 issues: you still need to pay for some chapters even after you pay for the game and your thumbs will block the screen and you will almost always miss a few notes on the songs. Other than that, the gameplay itself is amazing. It's worth trying just remember your thumbs will get in the way and you may get frustrated due to that fact.

Amazing. I’ve always followed Rayark since I discovered Deemo, when I found this I immediately downloaded and fell in love once again with Rayark’s beautiful story telling and sound tracks. They never cease to amaze me with their game quality, soundtrack and artwork. I hope this company makes more strides to be one of the top mobile game companies out there.

Weird screen switch. I love this game- don’t get me wrong- but I have one issue with it. On the multiple devices that I have tried it seems that before a song starts, the screen flips upside down so I have to re position my hands quickly before the bubbles begin to appear. This thankfully doesn’t take too long, but it kind of throws me off sometimes. The weird thing is that it doesn’t do this consistently, but periodically and only every now and then which really makes it difficult for me to be prepared for it. This aside, the music and the art in this game is so spectacular that I can almost over look this small issue!

Great game, one gameplay problem. Absolutely love this game and the music choice after the first two songs is fantastic. I highly recommend this to anyone who could even POSSIBLY enjoy this Game. However, my one problem lies with the gameplay. I find the harder difficulties more fun and enjoying due tot their fast pace. However, the game is designed in a way on which, unless you're on you iPad, the notes can be hidden behind your fingers when you are tapping. To avoid this, I have to angle my phone a certain way, which makes playing longer than 5 minutes uncomfortable. Great app, but it's "signature" is a little unpractical to me.

Almost Perfect!. This game in most aspects is by far my favorite music/rhythm game on the App Store due to the song lineup and beautiful artwork. Each and every chapter is handcrafted with beautiful and sometimes insane songs, along with amazing drawings as covers. And there are basically songs for everyone on here, including EDM, a mix on classical music, dubstep, and even songs with lyrics (mostly Japanese). I love the addition of the secret songs, where you have to interact with the song cover in order to play the alternate version. I do however run into a big problem while playing this while lounging. Whenever I play intense songs, sometimes my hands cover up the notes, making me unable to see them as they pass through (unfortunately though, this is the nature of the game). It would also be nice to have a song favorite system, which would make it easier to play the specific songs that you might be trying to practice , or just songs that you personally enjoy. It also kind of stinks that you have to pay for some of the new albums now, even though you already paid to download the game...

Came back after almost 10 years. I loooooove this game. I was obsessed as a high schooler in 2015, but I could not remember the name of this game. I eventually did some deep dives and finally found it again. I originally wanted something like tap tap revenge when it was still around, but this game is leaps and bounds ahead. I can play this for hours if I had the time haha

One of the most memorable rhythm games out there. Honestly, I'm not advanced enough in game development terminology to really provide much constructive criticism, so I'll just say this to anyone looking about buying this game: If you like music, and you're interested in rhythm games, this is a must-try at the least. Compared to rhythm games by other developers, this is near perfection. You won't find a better rhythm game developer on mobile.

Wonderful!. This game is so fun and challenging, it makes me want to keep playing just to improve my score. There's so many songs available that there is endless enjoyment. I tend to play my favorite songs again and again until I get the best score I can get (which is not that high, I'm not very good at this game). It's very addicting for me that I'll spend hours on it without realizing. Overall I think this game is splendid, but I wouldn't count out the other games by rayark.

Favorite Rhythm Game!!. So many songs to choose from, with so many different moods and styles. Some of the songs are crazy hard but this just makes it even more fun! Practicing difficult songs and getting better at them feels so satisfying! Definitely worth the couple dollars, would recommend to anyone.

Experience. This game gave me so much joy since I was in middle school 8 years later still love it, you would think that it would get old but every time I play it takes me back, it’s easy to play, the characters are so original, even little stories and all kind of music genres explored, really well made it’s a masterpiece. ❤️❤️❤️

One Word: Awesome!. I bought this game because it looked very interesting from the get-go, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. All of the songs are so unique and powerful and can stay stuck in your head for days. The story itself is a very interesting concept that really makes the player think: what if this actually did happen? What would we do then, if we were to be in the MC’s shoes? I love it! Well done, Rayark. This is a game I will always love and remember (and continue to play).

Rayark has the best mobile rhythm games. This game has one of the most free levels in all the mobile rhythm games i tried. It has a range of difficulties making it suitable for basically anyone. and if the dozens and dozens of levels you already get wasn't enough you can buy more. I really like this specific rhythm game because it was similar to osu!

Best game ever!. I was big into piano tiles until I discovered the real game. I can't put this down. Much more challenging than piano tiles,. Much more elegant and entertaining as well. Not to mention you can actually practice the specifics of, and get better at, each song. Where the tiles appear varies every time you play piano tiles, but in Cyrus it's the same so you can actually practicee the graceful hand movements and perfect your skills.

Absolutely amazing.. Deemo has always been one of my absolute favorite games. So I finally decided to get Cytus and boy was I amazed. The art, the music, the gameplay. All so wonderful!! However I have a really annoying bug that when you start the game it crashes. Please fix this!! Other than that Cytus is a great game, and if you're reading this review, If you haven't already please go check out, Deemo, Mandora, VOEZ, and Implosion!! Thank you!! 😊 P.S. Your thumbs really don't get in the way if you watch carefully.

Still a great value beyond the other rhythm games on mobile. After about two years away, I’m still coming back to this awesome game and enjoying it all over again. I first downloaded this game early in its life, before it had chapters at all. While it was fun in the early days, now it has become an absolute masterpiece, and getting 100+ songs for the low price is absolutely incredible. Most games give you about 5 songs, then you have to cough up to build a decent song list. Not this one. Sure, some chapters have to be bought, but considering you get 10 songs for $5, that only 50 cents a song, which is a great value! This and VOEZ are my favorite rhythm games of all time and everyone who decides to get this game is in for a treat, trust me, it’s worth every single penny!

Amazing music game!. Implosion. Mandora. Deemo. Voez. I've played them all and now Rayark has updated the first music rhythm game that I ever played: Cytus! I really like that the beautiful artwork, the awesome music, the colorful (and sometimes distracting) animations, they all work together. For a low price of $0.99 you can get way more songs than what other music games give you. Five stars for the quality that Rayark put in this game! Just hope that the lag and some animations glitches that appears on my iPhone 4s will be fixed next update, but other than that, game on!

Absolute Nostalgic Love. Ever since I was a kid, I enjoyed playing this game, but like… I never really had money to buy it. However now that I’m older. I was able to purchase it. It’s still as good as I remember, if not better! All of the music reminds me of the simpler times as a kid and the mechanics of the game are great. Definitely recommend!

No updates. This game is great but I end up deleting it and regetting it as playing the same songs over and over gets boring and I stop playing. This is where you need an update with a new chapter for free maybe bring back megamix or add another chapter. This is just my opinion though if you do not feel like you need an update eventually more and more players will retract from playing the game. Please take this into consideratiom

very fun. I bought this and Lanota together, but spent most of my time on lanota because I was just starting to get into rhythm games, so the illusion of input lag that this game has made it tricky for me to play. I bought cytus 2 later and enjoyed it a ton (I recommend that one as well) and dabbled in this more. I play this just as much as cytus 2 now, the faux input lag doesn’t bother me much anymore, and it’s cool to hear songs from this that have been mashed up in cytus 2, like saika and drg being remixed into chaos. very fun, I recommend

I vacant choose between this or Deemo but these are without a doubt my favorite games but we need more secrets that unlock harder songs because like me and many others we beat it and perfect it don't get me wrong still best games that are in existence when it comes to mobile games but we do need more songs that are secret

Amazing. It doesnt matter what genre you like this app is amazing, you can play an original type of game play for the notes to the song or just listen, you can enjoy the beautiful artworks, background music and style off the app. This is defiantly worth getting and i can see why it was rated number one! Ive already recommended it to my friends! But the best feature is the interpretable story line. It doesn't say much directly but just from whats provided you can imagine what happened in this world. 10/10

New yet Expensive. This game is very different to other games. I've never played anything like it! Cytus has reversed all musical games you've ever played, and the twist is refreshing. As much as I love it, I spent around 50 dollars to get every chapter. I think that the first few chapters are worth the money, but I regret using my money on the others. As good as it is, it's pretty expensive and I wish I hadn't bought the rest of the game as I barely have any iTunes money left. However, I do highly recommend getting the first few chapters, but be careful not to make the same mistake I made.

Masterpiece. Been playing many music beats games, but this one is just outrageous, recommended by my little brother. Well, the gameplay is stunning and awesome.

Perfect game, although missed 1 note. I reviewed the game previously and I thought it was a masterpiece, but then a dilema reared it's ugly face and smiled menacingly at me, it smiled at me and it really hit a nerve. For now, though, i'll start with the good. This game is wonderful, amazing, the best rythm game i've played in a long long time, chapters IV and V are my favourite chapters so far. The ugly dilema, I mentioned earlier, just happens to be chapter VI, the final chapter so far released. I hated this chapter, so much so, that after playing through all the songs, I had to write this about it. It was so dissapointingly easy, so boring. This game has had a great pace to me, chapters 1-2 were moderately easy, chapter 3 was a good "normal" difficulty, chapter 4-5 were pretty difficult, but then chapter 6, chapter 6 just went back to chapter 1-2 difficulty. Even Hard on chapter 6 was easy... The hard difficulty for chapter 6 was what I was expecting the easy difficulty to be like. I know, I know, it's one chapter, but it's one chapter I had to pay extra for and it was lazily done, I love this game, please don't get lazy, don't let chapter 6 be a trend, because chapter 6 was dreadful and I want to keep loving this game. I suggest you either re-work chapter 6, or move it into chapter 3's position and bump up the chapter numbers (ex: 3->4, 4->5, 5->6) because I don't want my chapter 6 to be easier than the chapters leading up to it. It completely ruins the pacing.

Full screen support for iPhone Xs Max. This game is awesome, but it would be better if you would update it to support full screen mode in iPhone Xs Max.

Love this game!. Been playing this for a number of years now, and I'm still not tired of it. Love the graphics, music and song charts, but reckon that more new song packs would really be cool :)

Loving the Music!!!. This game is really fun, I love the music!!! I’d definitely rate this as one of my favoriote games to play!

Amazing, but one problem. The game is amazing in almost every way, great rhythm game with a tonne of content for $2.50 and a wide range of genres. My only complaint is that the extra chapters are way overpriced. The first load of chapters all contained 12 songs and the extras are made up of 10 songs in four chapters. The cost of these extra songs is double the amount of the main game's price and they seem to be paid for separately. Chapter L is extremely overpriced coming in at $10 just for 10 songs, the whole game could be bought 4 times over with a lot more content for this price. However, the rest of the game is absolutely brilliant and deserves a 5-star rating. It's just a pity that I won't see the extra music because of the price.

Exactly What You Want. I don't usually write reviews but this game is by far one of the best rhythm games out there. It doesn't have any western songs but to me that what makes it unique. The songs are at a high quality and most of them will be burned into your head without any disatisfaction. You will spend hours at first trying to get a hang of this game but when you do the experience is extremely rewarding. The difficulty is laid out for you from 5 - 9 so you can easily tell which songs are for you and it won't take you too long before you star challenging the harder songs. Overall this app is highly rated by the masses for good reason and if you are in to tap tap or any other type of rhythm game this would your type of game.

An All-Time Great. It's been 8 years since I discovered Cytus yet it never feels old. Whenever I come back to this game, it feels refreshing, a sense of nostalgia and flashbacks through my childhood. I would easily put this on my list of "The Glory Days of Mobile Games". It is everything you could ever ask for from a rhythm game: graphically stunning, emotion enducing music, simple yet challenging gameplay, a wide selection of songs. The fact that I'm still using a 2012 iPad Mini 1 in 2022 that is still able to run Cytus smoothly just goes to show how well optimised the game is. I don't even remember how much it costed back then. No matter the cost, it's worth every cent for the content, graphics and gameplay.

Insanely brilliant. I love this game. I have never invested 200 hours plus in a phone game. If your a fan of rhythm games this is a easy buy. The songs are mostly Jpop and electro so if your not a huge fan of those genre of music you should maybe stay away. Also I may have encountered a bug where I bought the dlc and after a few weeks when I got them I couldn't access them. Thankfully they have a restore purchase feature which works well, just keep that in mind before you buy any dlc. Also I recommend searching up a guide to how to access the chapter songs because they explain the story and the game gives you no hints on how to find them. Well worth the price they are offering

Still The Best Rhythm Game In The App Store. This game is unbelievable. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is flawless. Looks hard, not really. Cytus is a great game overall, with wonderful songs and a new approach to the rhythm game genre it is bound to entertain you for countless hours provided you enjoy the msuic. From a spectators point of view the game looks deceptively hard but anyone can learn to play. For more advanced players there is a less forgiving form of points which is known as Technical points (TP) which is judged upon how accurately you hit a note, thus making this game player-friendly for both experienced and non experienced players. I highly reccomend this game and I hope that more great songs are released.

Best music game. This game would have to my number one favorite music beat game at the moment. Someone els mentioned that the music was giving them eargasims and I would have to agree. Top quality music and I am really enjoying the gameplay too. Graphics are perfectly minimal and fit the genre. There is one thing I'd like in this game and that would be a more interactive element with getting the perfect score. If the game could have a mode where if you miss hit the buttons the music doesn't sound as good. But when you ace it the music sounds 100% awesome and maybe launches into some extra sound elements as a reward. REZ does it pretty well and all those guitar hero games do it really well. I hope there will be more updates with new tracks and perhaps even more electronic artists as well. Cool stuff. I'm going back for me. Bye bye

SICKEST GAME EVER. It’s been around 4 years since I’ve played this game, and it never fails to get me excited. Each song is composed and yet it’s sounds sooo AwEsOME! As one of the reviews mentioned (SAFETY EXPERT) there are NO ADS AT ALL. And with legit a BROAD RANGE OF SINGS TO CHOOSE FROM the cost is totally worth it. I also really like how they add some cool features here and there and the storyline of the game is really amazing. The ART is soo beautifully crafted and I’m glad I came back to this game. I feel as though not many ppl know about this game tho, but they should-all the content u get it totally worth it 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Cytus: The Best Rhythm Game I've played to date.. Okay, so I was a little skeptical going in, but it looked like a bit of fun. A friend had re commended it to me and I thought it looked kind of interesting. Turns out that it was a little more than just interesting. Tons of great music (with a few forgettable tracks thrown in) with a fantastic variety of genres! The art is pretty good throughout and just as varied as the music, and I'm not even halfway through! Have I mentioned that there's a literal tonne of content in this $2.50 game? But the game starts you off on a difficulty 3 track, which I was not really expecting, thus beginning my experience of rapid thumb flail spamming (or RTFS). Oh, and while this game can be outright obscene with its difficulty in some parts, it mostly stays level. And beating some of the harder tracks are just music to my ears. Pun intended. But there are also secret tracks, there are some in each level but I'm not going to tell you where they are~! If you haven't already, but this game. It's soundtrack is amazing and will make you wish you had these in your iTunes library, the difficulty and song choice is varied and it's got some great colour, which I didn't expect from a rhythm game of all things. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go try and get perfect on Les Parfum d'Lamour.

Challenging and fun rhythm game. I'm pretty new to rhythm games and have avoided playing because my lack of skill in them. On a recommendation I bought this game on a whim, fully prepared to delete this if I didn't like it. It's been 2 days so far and I definitely won't be deleting this. Cytus is a very fun rhythm game that'll challenge you to get the best score. You won't settle unless you get the best rank. The game has a wide selection of addicting songs to play to, which is pretty important considering its a rhythm game no? Interestingly enough there's also a storyline in the chapter songs. The layout/design is futuristic and stylish. Do I think it's worth the money? Yes, whole heartedly. Just be prepared because it's a addicting game.

The price should be $5.18. This is definitely an amazing and challenging game. Very addicting and all the songs are awesome. The game’s graphics are all in hd— it marvelous! However, I was disappointed that the price was deceiving. It takes a very long time to install as well. I am a hardcore hard-to-please gamer for 20 years, with hundreds of games on ios, plus an actual band player, and is undoubtably confident to say: Cytus is one hell of a game of art. Aside from the unexpected large amount of fun and great music that echo in your brains for hours and on, you can really feel the sincerity of the designers that they put their hearts into this game. For the money of a mere plain cheese burger, I had weeks of good time and you can too unless you are deaf. I'd donate to the designers just for the treat to my ears alone. Give it a shot.

Fun App. I really enjoy this game. I find it fun and challenging, although many of the song are not to my taste, I find others that are. So I appreciate the diversity in music that is offered. The one issue I have is when you have a note streak (25/50/75/100 ...) and the game flashes a message to tell you how you are doing, it's very distracting, blocks the notes and more often then not causes me to miss the note following the message. If there is a way to disable this I would love to know, and if not, it would be great if the developers could add the option to turn it off. Thanks for a great game with beautiful graphic and fun music!

Good could be better.. Good Rhythm game. Although it ratings system seems a bit off to me. It ranked like the old ddr games, I think learning a thing from other games adding a D and S ranks would help it feel more fair to new players. and give die hard players something to work towards. As it is now it convoluted. 60 - 70% sometimes a c and other times a fail. Not getting a single miss dose not earn you a A. It hard to tell what the win state is at times as it’s not consistent.

Good, but flawed. I've been playing Cytus for six years. It's one of the best games on iOS, but it has some flaws that have been ignored for years. Many songs released in v10.0, such as Myosotis and those in Chapter N, have sloppy and off-sync beatmaps. These songs are unlocked through in-app purchases, making this level of quality unacceptable. The game could also use many quality of life changes, such as a counter that tracks your TP and a more accurate difficulty scale. An update that, at the least, polishes the v10.0 songs is long overdue, and I feel that these changes would bring renewed attention to this game and Cytus Alpha, the Nintendo Switch port.

Amazing, but needs more variety. When you have an immaculate game like OSU, I think this game does not quite compete because the song choices are limited. PLEASE! Add more variety of music choices.... maybe let players make their own to post to the community! Thanks

Rhythm Game Masterpiece. Ive had this for over 7 years, and ye back then i paid $2 for it, but man, UNTIL TODAY, in 2022, i still love this game so much! I dont get tired of it! Music is still great they always hit the mark everytime i play the music and tap on the beat. And each chapter tells a story. Its just downright an amazing game that i never saw one like it again. I also have Cytus II, but i still prefer this Cytus over the other one…it has a sense of nostalgia. I hope they continue to update it and add more music and chapters because it is a masterpiece.

Album Prices. I honestly love this game absolutely, almost in every single aspect, and the knights album, OH that one's good!. But I find that paying for some albums, after you already paid for the game, not so cool. It's only like 3 dollars difference but for the quantity of albums to pay it sums up. Amazing!. It’s one of those rare apps that is well designed, fun, and affordable. The songs are great, the play style is challenging, and it is a whole lot of fun. My only gripes are that it is a bit lacking on story (maybe I just have trouble unlocking it), and that for optimal play you need a flat surface.

Excellent!. I've been searching for a good rhythm game for iPhone for a while now, and I've found it! The art is amazing, and the gameplay is extremely fun and challenging. There is plenty of content, so you won't get bored anytime soon. For those that want more songs, you can purchase additional song packs, which are reasonably priced. My only real criticism is that there isn't much music variety: the songs themselves aren't bad, but I would enjoy music from a wider variety of genres. If you have the funds, and seem even remotely interested in this game, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Amazing Game, but one problem.. Is Cytus an old game? Yes. Is Cytus 2 out? Yes, but people still come back to play the original or still have the original downloaded on their phone. This game truly deserves five starts but I keep thinking about those ugly black boarders on both sides of my game. I have the iPhone X and this game doesn’t fit the screen. That’s literally the only problem with this game.

I love it, but just one thing. I've been a fan of this game for the past 3 years, I even loved Deemo. The only problem I have, is that some chapters overlap between games and are locked by default. Don't you think that buying 6+ chapters for Deemo entitles you to the Deemo chapter on Cytus as well?

Unplayable on the iPhone X. I’ve been an avid Cytus player for a long time; however, on this latest update, it is almost impossible to play on expert. The game keeps pausing because I slightly move my finger towards the bottom of the screen and it registers that I’m trying to swipe the app away. It’s impossible not to move your fingers in this area when you’re playing the game so this NEEDS to be fixed.

Great game but one problem.. Overall this is a fantastic game but one problem. Sometimes I hit the circle perfectly but it says I am missing. Do other people know this problem? Please get this fixed.

Superb!!. This game is wickedly insane and I love it has great tracks for most everyone. I mean I got this game and it sounded like it would be OK little did I realize that this game has made it into the top three games on my list and in my iPad and I have over 50 games on my iPad so. I would recommend this game for anyone!

Coming from OSU!Stream. I was looking for a new rhythm game after I started having trouble getting the old OSU!stream app to retain the songs I got long ago, and this took its place so far. Decent variety of music, awesome art/visuals, decent mechanics. (srsly, “Slit” has the best intro screen/title card. wow.) It takes getting used to the timing bar, in that I am not used to there being a vector for my notes, It really isnt any different in theory, but my mind screws with me and I end up doing the notes in reverse lol. Great game overall, good value, well made.

Sound. I’ve played this game since it came out. I beat it then delete it and later in the future I redownload it and play it again. Idk what’s going on now but I downloaded it today and I hear no music. Everything else is working fine. I deleted it and redownloaded it to see if that will help and it didn’t. Maybe it’s a bug that needs fixing but I hope it does soon. I would love to play this game again.

Very good game. Game came out 12 years ago. Just bought it recently and it’s still a killer game. You know a game is worth it when people are still enjoying it after a decade.

Challenge. This game is very challenging and it’s very exciting, getting this filling of wanting to tap everything in perfect, but the only thing that seem of is the graphics almost seem like they haven’t been updated in a long time.

Woah. I didn’t even know I liked rhythm games. I like most of the music. Some of it I’m just not into, but that’s to be expected with over 200 songs. It’s smooth, responsive, and more addictive than heroine. Just get it.

Best rhythm game app since 2012. I've been playing this since the year it came out and i still love it to this day. Really amazing music and storyline. No other rhythm game can compare. 10/10 recommended

Amazing game. Amazing game, too bad they don’t update it, songs don’t sound outdated at all even though they were from 2012. Love this game and I come back to it time to time.
