About CompTIA Security+
The CompTIA Security+ Certification is a vendor neutral credential. It is an internationally recognized validation of foundation-level security skills and knowledge, and is used by organizations and security professionals around the globe. The CompTIA Security+ exam certifies that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to identify risk and participate in risk mitigation activities, provide infrastructure, application, operational and information security, apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability, identify appropriate technologies and products, and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws and regulations.
CompTIA has added performance based questions to the Security+ exam. Read about them here (http://blogs.getcertifiedgetahead.com/security-and-performance-based-questions/) so that they don’t surprise you.

All new questions and flashcards for SY0-501 exam.
SY0-401 questions are flashcards included in the app till the exam expires.
An extremely small portion of the material found in this app is applicable to the official CompTIA test. Don’t waste your time or your money. If I could give this app 0 stars I would.
The app is great at surface level, it has flash cards and questions. Who wouldn't love it? When you start to dive in to the app you notice there are quite a few spelling and grammar errors. Following that there are some flash cards that you can tell are completely wrong and you wouldn't notice without already knowing the content. I do with there was some kind of tracking system with the flash cards, or even a way to combine all the cards into one and review them that way. It is a bit cumbersome to switch between the domains or not to know which cards you did bad on, etc. Descriptions on the questions are good and informative but as said before, it's identical to the book. So if you have the book the only real benefit comes from the flash cards. To any one studying, don't use a single source for your studies. This is one of many resources, make sure to use some others out there includes this. You will have better success passing.
This app was recommended to me and I really liked it. Liked how it was laid out and good study material. A lot of mock tests for each category and a complete mock exam. I was consistently getting 87%-100% on the mock tests..... I failed the official test. Guess the information learned really didn't apply to the test.
If you just study this for your Sec+ exam... you will fail.
Progress should sync between multiple iOS devices. But, I passed the sec + test. App did its job.
This app is great for learning the basic concepts and IT security language. However, the actual Security+ test questions are nothing like these practice questions and flash cards. If you use this app, I STRONGLY suggest that you also watch some security plus lectures, and get a test bank/brain dump from online with questions that are closer to the exam questions. I used this app, lecture videos, and a "brain dump" for 4 weeks and scored a 769 on the exam (barely passed).
I used this in conjunction with another practice app and a different book than this was written with. I think this is the best way to use this, as it's likely to present material in a new or different way, forcing you to do additional research. The app is stable and easy to use, but additional variation in questions would be beneficial.
I only used this app for a week but it was great. What I really loved is that there is no data needed so I could study while on the metro. It helped me find what areas I needed to focus on.
The questions are the exact same ones from the book. Which is fine, unless you're hoping for additional material. Also sometimes I get the impression that the author doesn't fully understand some of the concepts.
This is definitely a great tool to use to study. I also used Darril Gibson book and watch the professor Messor videos scored a 825 today!
It is probably more than enough to get you through the test. I use it in conjunction with a study guide to provide more info on subjects I don't understand. This provides a good baseline to identify what you don't know you don't know (repetition intended).
Thanks for the great study application. I am getting my car inspection done and studying. Convenience is a plus!
Easy to use and flexible to any study plan
The practice questions are great! It explains why it's correct or wrong.
This is a great learning tool for people on the go. I work in a large building and this allows to study when I have 5 mins of downtime.
As a manager, I spend very little to no time doing the 'technical' stuff. Additionally, my background and experience was app development years ago. Point is, this app made it possible for me to pass the test the first time through-I know it was the app and not my vast IT experience. I found that working through the question sets then the practice tests worked best for me. After I started consistently scoring 90s and higher on the mock tests, I started reviewing the flash cards. The app really helped me tie concepts and terms together. I highly recommend this app. One last note, flag the questions you consistently miss for review after you've started scoring 90 or higher on the mock tests.
Thanks to the developers for this great app. I used this app, Boson practice tests and the Gibson book to pass. For the price, the amount of relevant questions is great. I think it would be amazing to add performance based questions as an in app purchase upgrade. I would just add that this app alone will not prepare you for the exam. It has great material but should be used in conjunction with lots of other study info.
Seems to be good content but some flash cards are repetitive. App needs a way to mark flash card sets completed. Definitely not the sole tool one could use to prep for exam but is useful as part of a larger study program.
Coming into my sec+ class I had 0 knowledge of anything network related. I would say 60% was a very good instructor and 40% was this handy little guide. I had one week, from knowing nothing, to being able to score a 769 on the exam!!! (750 is passing but I was pleasantly surprised!) BUY THIS!!! Someone in my class told me about it two days before the test! I would not have passed without this review app!!!
Good app to test and learn for the security + exam. Content not updated from March 2015 more flash cards and practice questions would be great to help you to learn on the go.
Thanks to this app in addition to some other material, I was able to pass my exam with flying colours 😃
