Comfort and Conviction. That is what I get with this app and the Holy Spirit always knows which one I need most! Thank you for the ministry this app provides. Not only does it strengthen my faith but it engages my children to read the Word too as they “take turns reading the verse to Mom”. The Word offered is so timely and the commentary doesn’t compromise accuracy of Scripture just to be “relevant”, but it still manages to be applicable (hence the conviction haha) ...And with every new phone this app is the first to get downloaded! Whether you’re just learning how to put your faith in Christ, with little Bible knowledge, or have been cultivating a relationship with Him through the Word for years this app will bless and challenge you with a sweet morsel of truth to chew on throughout the day!

No Reminder. I've been blessed, by using this app the past couple of years, on my previous Samsung Galaxy S5. Since I switched to an iPhone 6s Plus, I haven't been able to get the reminder feature to work. I've reloaded it twice, to no avail. I don't see any way to contact the developer, etc., so I wrote a review. When I clicked on "App Support," an error message appeared.

Jumpstart to my day. Every morning I plug into God’s power and His Holy Spirit with Verse-a-day. It puts my mind at ease before I start the business of the day. As a nurse, mom, wife, daughter and singer I need to connect with the source of life and light always first. Commentary is enlightening and anointed.

God speaks to us through His Word.. I use a number of Bible Study Apps, online Bible Translations, and guided prayer Apps: including Verse-A-Day, to get me through my days, weeks, months & years: always seeking Gods Purpose for my life. Verse-A-Day is an invaluable part of my daily time of prayer & Communion with the Lord.

Keeping closer to the word of God. Verse a Day gives me inspiration and hope each day reading the word of God first thing every morning.

A jumpstart to each day.. My sister passed away in April 2012 of pancreatic cancer at the age of 43. During the 7 months I stayed with her after her diagnosis we would spend time reading the Bible every morning. She made me aware of this app and I downloaded it. My husband did also. It didn’t replace my Bible study. It is actually a reminder to me that I need to open my Bible each day. It’s easy to use and a simple way to have a jumpstart to each day. Sometimes I don’t do my “real Bible reading” until later in the day. 7 years with the app and loving it still.

Commentary. I thank God for giving man the wisdom to create the app. It is a blessing and it gives you the opportunity to learn and understand more about the word on a daily basis especially through the commentary.

Awesome app. I just love this app. Not only does it give bible verses but also great commentary! This is my #1 bible verse app. I only wish there was a way to: 1) Add folders and sub-folders to organize saved verses. 2) Be able to add my commentary to each saved verse where I can input: a) How this verse and commentary helps me b) Any inspired thoughts thru this verse and commentary c) How I can use this verse in my daily life d) Questions I have about verses to do further research on 3) Have more Bible versions to choose 4) Have y’all update this app more often. a) 3 years since the last update is awful. b) Have y’all abandoned this app? c) There are probably a lot of people who won’t even give an app a try if the app hasn’t been updated in the past year let alone 3 years. d) I got this app a long time ago. If I went to the app store today and was searching for Bible Verses Apps, I would not download this because since it hasn’t been updated in 3 years, it looks like the developers don’t care about the app or their customers and have abandoned this app. i) That’s awful because this is a great app and people won’t know it because they won’t try it because of the lack of commitment on the part of the developer.

It Commands My Day!. Verse A Day is very encouraging! I often meditate on the provided Scripture before I start my day and it sets the tone for my day. I have a great day and when the enemy tries to bring distress along my pathway,I meditate on that Scripture. Thank you for creating a very powerful tool to help Christians remain encouraged and steadfast in our faith.

Please upgrade!. I absolutely love this app! But, with my last upgrade on my apple phone I no longer can receive my morning devotional with this wonderful app: Verse a day! I, truly miss it so much❗️🙏♥️

Great encouragement!. Advice to those who want to post to Facebook. I send the verse/commentary to me via SMS. Then copy and paste to a new post in Facebook. Works for me. Wish I could post from app but I can’t figure out how so far.

First Read of the Day!. My phone is my alarm clock so it sits on the edge of my nightstand (silent but for alarm). The Holy Spirit leads me to open this app first before any email or social media. I have opportunity to ponder what I’ve read through the day. Let’s be honey... most of our days are fraught with peril: disease, violence, accidents, etc. We need the reassurance that there is a God in Heaven who wants to be with us in every moment. The Word provides us with that. Thank you for a simple, effective, life-changing app!

Verse a Day. Thank you for this app devotional! The daily bible verses and commentary help me to start each day with the fire of the Holy Spirit burning in my heart! I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and I feel spiritually strengthened each morning when I read the devotional. The commentary always provides encouragement and prayer along with reflection as to how to implement the verse in our daily lives. The language is very easy to relate to. I would love it if the app could include a second verse to go deeper into the Verse-A-Day. A second verse that I could read and then reflect and pray about in the evenings that works as further illumination for the first. Just a hopeful suggestion! 🤗✝️

Verse A Day. Bible verses are always informative & sometimes challenging. I generally read the verse, but I stopped reading the commentary because the writer doesn’t understand the Bible or most of the featured verses and really shouldn’t offer a commentary because doing so will only serve to confuse and mislead the reader, which is not what God had in mind when the Bible was written. Read the verses.

Devotional. I love receiving this devotional. It’s more a devotional then a Bible verse of the day. I expected it a daily single verse when I first signed up but it’s so much more.

Refreshing. This app is very very welcome. As mornings are quite busy I take the opportunity to open the app as soon as I get up and it is a blessing to start my day in God’s word. It does not supplant reading the Bible but it is a very quick start to the day. It just sets my day off on the very right foot and I really appreciate it. I find it to be a very real blessing each and every morning.

Refreshing and encouraging. What a beautiful way to start my day! The words of God inspire me and give me hope. The commentaries often make me look at scripture through different lenses. Sometimes I agree; sometimes not. But they always make me think more deeply about what God is saying.

Daily Morning Routine. This is one of the best apps to help you with your journey with Christ. It has been part of my ‘God first’ morning routine for many many years. I am grateful I found it. The gifted writer(s) truly love God. Many times when I read the daily passage and comments it is exactly what I need to face the day. It is written with great care to encourage, uplift, strengthen and cause the reader to mature spiritually.

Jump start my day app. I, finally at my golden age, made a habit of giving my God my first attention in the morning, thanks to this app along with couple of other apps. Great reminder every day. The Lord has given me a Word for the moment so many times through this app. My wife and I have it.

App commentary. App is great but see some of commentaries may not always be biblically sound. Use the Bible to uncover the Bible. Context of when written is important and that does not take away from Holy Father. People utilize Jeremiah 29 improperly all the time.

Blind and great full. Started using this app when I went blind a few years ago, and had young boy’s. I have used this daily with my reader for my self and my sons. It has Been a life saver for the three of us to stay in touch with our glorious savior and his word. This app is reaching current believers, and bringing up new ones please keep it simple and don’t change a thing.

Anointed. This particular verse a day has been used to bless in so many ways. Whether myself personally, or another in need, it always seems to be what’s needed in that very instance. The commentary, always on the mark of what’s truly needed and where we should keep our focus! It is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Christ the living Word made flesh, once again Alive within us, working through us!! Thank you for this awesome ap!!

App has stopped functioning properly. This app used to work properly until a few weeks ago when I would have given it 5 stars. The verses frequently won’t download . I have tried to message app support and the developers site only to be given an error message that these pages no longer exist.

Verse a day. When verses are explained it becomes a whole new adventure through the word. My knowledge of the word has increased 10 fold. I have been reading this everyday for years except for the 5 days it was off line. This app is a blessing for all who use it and receive it.

Question. How can you share the verse and devotional to Facebook because every time I try it says not hooked up

Excellent daily devotion. I have used this app for many years. Not only do the verses inspire me, but also the commentaries. Not once have I seen a commentary that seemed to be missing the mark. I appreciate the prayers and study that go into providing this app.

Just what I needed. I have been reading these verses for at least seven years. I’m steal a babe to the word at 61 yrs. These verses have helped me understand the message so much better. The commentary is so clear that I can learn the word and retain it. I have been sharing them with friends and family, we all agree that this app is awesome.

Short but powerful. I like this app! It’s gives you a short read, and the commentary is short and to the point. I look at this app first thing, to read the verse. Sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night, and it’s the next day, I open the app read the verse, and go back to bed thinking on the verse. Only issue I have is when I go to share it on FB it tells me I have to go into my settings and allow for something...haven’t figured out what exactly I have to do. Also more versions would be awesome. I suggest AMP, MSG, and TPT. Thank you!

Help me. I've had the app for a while now and I read and open it every morning and every Night, I tend to use your verse as the base line for my prayer and work from there, But the last three days I have not been able to access it at all, I got a friend to download the app to see if the same problem happened and it has so I think the app is no longer working. Exactly what my iPhone needs!!. Although basic at this stage, you still have a wonderfully poignant verse and commentary each day which you are able to share with others easily from within the app. I am excited to watch the coming updates as they add the other great features of the app!!

Great. The verses are wonderful and the commentary is very good. I have two daily commentaries and this one is the better out of the two.

A very useful and inspiring app!. I love how I can set reminders in this app to see an inspiring verse each day. Haven't missed a day since I got the app :) One thing I do not like in the new version of the app is the ads at the bottom of the page. It was ad free for so long and now someone ruined that now :(

Remove ads. Good app. Footer ads are distracting and often inappropriate for a Bible app... or any app for that matter. Too bad. It’s like scripture reading with oft-lewd commercial interludes. Not cool.

Not the same feel. I feel as someone new is writing the commentary. Ever since the update the commentary always talks about lies lies lies. It almost feels judgy and Phariseee. Anyway, whoever did the original commentary please come back. Prob going to have to delete the app.

Love the messages. The only thing I dont like about this app is the time it gets delivered. I have my settings set for 10 AM. However, every day at 0400 my phone pings. Beyond that, I am very happy with the format and messages.

Won’t connect to Facebook. Update new update 2 days ago supposed to fix Facebook sharing. It doesn’t. I’ve tried for over a year and it still won’t connect. The last version said it was fixed. It’s not. You can’t share with others on Facebook.
