Good/ not so good. Love how easy it is to enter information . However the good and easy stops there . You can’t put information in so you can easily find it later. The labels for two column choices are stupid; one of them is what you’d want to search for but can’t and the second is one you’d like to search by. It has a date set “ Unflagged” but it can’t be deleted. Depending on if it’s business or personal you should be able to set what comes up on the first page to simplify searching. If you take a picture of your receipt , it is easier to get it into the app. Heaven help you if it took two pictures to get the receipt in completeness. You have a lot to fix before I’d go pro that’s for sure. THE MANUAL AND SUPPORT EMAIL DO NOT WORK

Awesome!. This is a great app! It makes doing my taxes so much more efficient! Especially for an Independant contractor. One suggestion I would make is a way to create a folder so that I can separate receipts that I send for reimbursement.

Better than rest. I experimented with similar apps. They either wanted monthly fee or not stable or not customizable. This app is a steal @ .99 Instantly adds to Dropbox with no problem. Emails PDF of receipts, data table, AND a CSV file for instant integration into spreadsheet to tally receipts by category or other fields. (learn subtotal feature in spreadsheet) My business has never been so ready for tax season!

Greg. Thank you for a simple to use and effective app. I’ve been using it for 5 years and will continue to use it. Please add the ability for receipt catcher to do income and expenses. I use the application to track income and expenses for rental properties, a cattle ranch, and leases. I currently have to manually adjust the excel spreadsheet output to distinguish income from expenses before I send the file to my accountant.

Works good needs a few extras. I tried several other apps and this one is the easiest and fastest to use. Receipt apps that recognize do not work well and you have to end up entering the info anyway. A couple of suggestions. 1) Fix the CSV columns do not line up. 2) A year end summery and the ability to archive and or delete the prior year. 3) Once the CSV portion is fixed it would be nice to be able to look at year to date spending on a spreadsheet. I own my own business and yearly is important DON'T upgrade no longer summarizes the months each receipt is an entry on the view an report page!

The images aren't accessible. I found that the interface and filters are really straightforward and useful however when I wanted to view a receipt it did not allow me to zoom into the image so unless I had a magnifying glass it was pointless. Also, the images do not appear to be stored in the camera roll so you can't access them there either, although at that point what's the reason to use the app. Fix this issue and you'll get 4 stars.

Works solid, minor flaw to improve. Correction to someones previous review: you can retake the photo of the receipt. The reproduction of the receipts in a PDF is phenomenal. Flaw: can't organize receipts by customer or purpose: for example, for customer x, customer y, and customer z. Only by month or category... Which given how an Accts dept usually processes needs to be "meals", "travel" "gas" or whatnot.

Recent update. Was excited with new update yesterday but the update never took and did not change what they said would change

App doesn’t work well. Don’t go pro.. I purchased the app for $.99 and then upgraded to pro for $1.99. The charges are showing on my bank account but the pro feature doesn’t work. When I tried to contact support for help with the glitch, there’s no way to submit my issue to them. Totally disappointed with this app.

Time Saver. My company doesn't have the most organized expense reporting system. I have been using Receipt Catcher now for about two months. It has become a great timesaver and efficient way to keep track of business travel expenses.

Great tool, except the receipt exports are too small to read. I really like this tool but was disappointed that my finance team could use the export because the receipts weren't big enough to read. I had to copy each image from the PDF into a word doc to make them big enough. This seems like something easily fixed by offering scaling for the exports.

Works well. This app pretty much does what other app of similar sort does, except being much cheaper. It would be nice to see a spending summary tab in the next update, where it list the total amount spent per category per month.

Nice concept, clumsily implemented. I purchased this app after being a long-time user of Expense Reports. Even after 45 minutes of playing with this app, and trying to input a number of receipts, I found it awkward. Sometimes entries would be duplicated many times for reasons that were not obvious to me, I could not find the pictures that were taken, and sometimes it was even hard to create a new entry even though I had already created several. Some of the capabilities were hard to find. I'm sure the developer could walk me through this carefully and that there were solutions, but after using it for a while I decided to look elsewhere. Too bad.

Needs improvement. This app could be good, however, it does not let you access exchange rates w/o Internet, thus making it useless to work on airplanes on airplane mode. Also, it should have the ability to edit information without saving , rather than losing the information if you try to go back to work on it.

Can't even view the receipt. After you import an image of the receipt into the app, it doesn't even let you view or display the receipt... you only see a portion of the actual receipt. You can't tap and or open the image to view the receipt once it's saved into the application. This app is more about saving data related to your receipts. If you're looking for an app that lets you save your receipts and then view or share them, this is not the app for you. Personally, I think the rest of these reviews are fakes.

My personal choice. After comparing a couple of receipt apps, this is the one I stick with. Especially the organization of the receipts on letter format saves me a lot of time. Thanks to the latest update, I am all set. Thanks!

Limited To Monthly Reports Only. This App is problematic if you need to group receipts by project or job. If you have multiple projects in a month or they span a month, there is no option to group them together. Also, there is no control over how many receipts you want to appear on a page that you print. The App will automatically fill a page with as many receipts as it can making many of them illegible and unsuitable for submission for reimbursement.

Nice start but useless for me. This app has nice features on the basics, such as capturing and cropping the image, entering metadata, and sending as a PDF. Major problem however is that it lumps together all receipts for each month on the same page(s) and you cannot group them in any other way. I need to submit expenses by trip, not by month, so have to be able to create groups other than monthly. There is no way to do this other than to enter each set of receipts, send them, and then delete them all before doing the next trip - not a good workaround. One other issue: it appears to scale all receipts based on width, so if you have wide receipts or full-page invoices, they get scaled way down. Should be able to adjust the scaling.

Guess I expected more. The app does what it says...stores photos of receipts. Pretty basic. I guess what I THOUGHT it was going to allow me to do was to pull data like how much in what category or how much did I spend with a particular vendor. That functionality is not there even though you put those data fields in when you snap a pic of the receipt. Good app, just disappointed because it COULD do so much more very easily.

Great App for business Receipts. I've been using this app for over a year to keep record of my personal business receipts and it works great. It totals the months and prints out with complete description and images. Works perfectly when I need a quick total of monthly income. It can be used for any kind of receipt you want to keep track of:)

Great Start.... but. This is a great app for capturing expenses receipts and I love the feature of it laying out the images on the A4 or US letter. its simple to use and mostly gets the job done. But i can only recommend this to people that enter expenses monthly. I have found no way to export a date range or create weekly groups. Some must haves are: - export a date range - edit saved entries

This is a time saver. This App is a gem for the price. Great how it lines everything up on an A4 page with an index page in chronological order.

One great feature, several that are missing. I just downloaded this app solely for the automatic resizing & aligning to a standard sheet of paper - however, I feel like this app could be amazing if just a few tweaks were implemented: 1. Settings for default categories/vendors/etc, or make all of these fields optional - the user may not want to keep that information, and it's frankly a little off-putting that we have to populate those fields. 2. The ability to export only certain receipts - if I go on two trips for work & need to keep receipts for each that are billable to different clients, when I export, I should be able to choose which receipts to include, not have to dump them all in by default. Also, don't group them together by month, or make it a setting - I need to submit expenses weekly, so a monthly grouping serves no purpose. I really think this has the potential to be a great app - the organizing of receipts onto one sheet of paper is something nobody else is doing - if you add a few simple tweaks, you could have yourself something that I could encourage everyone in my company to use. Good simple app with no online subscription.. I collect a lot of receipts every time I travel (weekly). This app has save loads of time. Really like the currency exchange for when I work both sides of the border. Would be nice to see more currency exchange sources available in the Settings though. Also would be great to be able to tag receipts with a project number. Lastly, would also be great to summarize expense reporting by expense type. All-in-all, nice simple app that does the basics very well. I especially like not needing to have a complicated online subscription where they try to collect all of your personal financial info.

Amazing. If it is possible to be in love with an app then I am in love with an app . This app is amazing and is so easy to use, it has made my bookkeeping so much easier to handle. Well worth 99cents of any ones money 

Great App!!. After trying several similar apps, I am very happy I chose this one. The photo receipt quality is excellent and I really like that several receipts are fitted on one page for printing/emailing.

Good, but needs more. I use this app all the time, but here are some things I wish they would update: 1. You can only take a photo of your receipt. I wish you could also choose to import a photo so I could include screen grabs from online purchases/receipts. ***PLEASE FIX*** 2. I wish that an automatic pull down menu would appear when you are typing in a vendor's name. It's bothersome to scroll through and select the vendor when you have so many listed. Also, maybe perhaps include a "favorites" category of vendors used most often. 3. It would be nice to see a pie/bar chart of expense categories. 4. I wish you could go back and change/retake/review & zoom in on receipts already captured. Right now you can only do this when looking at the PDF file. All in all, it's a good app. Just needs some improvements to be awesome.

Awesome time saver. Great app. Saves me hours of working on my least favorite thing....doing expenses for work. Only problem I've ever had with it is that sometimes it won't allow me to enter purchases without a wifi connection.

Don’t waste your time. Kicked me out of the app and wouldn’t open again for me so I had to delete the app & reinstalled it and lost all of my entries. You should be able to log in to make sure you don’t lose information.

Can't email receipts. App worked great before. Loved it and gave it a 5 star rating. Now it drops to a 1 because I could not email nor print my receipts. I would get a weird icon on corner of PDF and rest of page was blank. I emailed the company twice for help but no response!! It's been well over a week too. I had to delete the app & hoping it will work now but what a pain. I have everything logged for 2 months & now I have to start over. Not sure I even trust this app to work.

Yes! This is a great app.. It is only fair to say I was miserable when they first tinkered with this app. However, they got it right and it is very easy to use. They could not have been nicer when I had to contact them. I recommend this app with confidence.

Great app. Like other reviewer I would like to group per trip as I have multiple clients. The only other thing is if the receipts could be actual size so that a hotel bill took a full sheet. I received complaints that the receipts were too small to read. Actual size or ability to adjust. If it is there today I can't find how to get to it. Thanks to developers!

Great App, couple suggestions. Great app, really useful, I bought the GoPro version. Love the expense report feature. Two suggestions: 1) I wish I could search for a receipt by what was added under Notes section. 2) I wish I could send an individual receipt, rather than having to send a whole collection of receipts under "Category" or "Vendor".

Crash Catcher. Was looking for a SIMPLE receipt tracking app that also would synchronize between my devices. This really fit the bill, however it crashes constantly. I have a 6s plus running the latest iOS. Also noticed that it won't save my categories and I can't manually add them in so I have to type "personal" every time. If they fix these couple of bug then I will go back to this app.

Great app ... Needs one thing. Great app! Only would like the ability to group by trip. I have several trips each month and my expenses are submitted for each trip, not each month.

Great App. This is a very helpful app. I have not experienced any of the problems in the reviews below. Especially for .99 cents it does a great deal. I don't have any criticism but do have a couple of wishes. It would be most useful to allow the user to enter a date range when exporting, printing or emailing the expense reports. Also, the app may be trying to squeeze too many receipts on one page that makes them a little hard to read when printed. Thanks for you great work.

Best Receipt Tracker. I tried numerous receipt tracker apps and this is by far the best. I am much more diligent about entering my receipts as soon as I get home from shopping. I used to toss them all in a box and then force myself to sit down and scan them into my computer receipt software one by one. Entering individual data such as store, amount, tax was cumbersome. With Receipt Catcher it's quick and painless. Reports are much easier to generate as well. This is one of my most used apps.

Great App. This app works as advertised. You can easily input receipt information, then take a picture of the receipt and store it. I haven't experienced any problems with the app not storing my receipts. It's quick and easy. And the export feature is great for small businesses or startup that are trying to track expenses for tax purposes or to make things easy on your CPA. Definitely recommend.

Good app falls short. App makes it very easy to categorize receipts and get a expense report by the month. Where it falls short is not being able to see or print receipts by category or date. It would also be a good idea to be able to do expense reports by month, by category, and by date. I hope to see this in an update

Fantastic for sole proprietors. Fantastic app. Solved my 4 months worth of receipts in 2 days! But hope to see it able to sort by category and have a customisable layout for the report.

Supervicer. I wish I had used it more often a great tool to have.I found it very useful when submitting paper work to company’s .

Finance. Cannot get multiple currencies to function. Has feature to add other currencies, function only works some of the times. Can only enter USD. Also, really need to be able to export receipts I chose and not all of month or nothing. Because of this the app is not practical for using with work expense reports.

Simple and Comprehensive. Love that this app is the most user-friendly of all receipt apps (I downloaded a couple) and it is neat! Love how it is all laid out in a two page report. Can't wait until the customized reports feature updates.

Evan. Love this app! But that would be great if a user could add original currency and its amount, as well the exchange rate used, to the report. Also, not all expenses come as receipts. Sometimes we need to capture and log a letter sized bill or an invoice as a separate page. Please add that feature to the app.

Receipt Catcher makes Taxes EASY. I have always been floored by personal accounting. This app has the legs to possibly help many Americans get a handle on their spending while filing their receipts for easy access, for takes, warranties, reimbursement. This app is a hit!

Excellent customer service. Long story short, I had to replace my iPhone & I couldn't find the receipts I had emailed myself as an attachment. I emailed the dev & he got back to me within a week. He told me to do a restore in iTunes to a past date. When I did, all the info was there & I was then able to export the info to my email address. I will continue to use this app because of the great customer service I received.

Could have been great. I was excited to try this app but it fell short of expectations. First off it doesn't even sort the receipts by date. Second it doesn't give you an option as to which fields you want to have stored as standard versus optional. O I'd like to be able to turn off some of the other ones that they make required such as vendor as I don't need them for my business. Lastly to be true five-star app these guys should print the actual receipt information just below her to the side of the actual pictures that would make this extremely valuable and that's what the IRS needs. So good first attempt with a little bit more effort it could be an exceptional product

Great! Needs some tweaks.. Would be nice if you could create weekly reports vs monthly. I submit my expenses weekly. When a week is in two different months I have to upload two different PDF files to my companies expense site. Also, scanned hotel receipts are shrunk too small.

Excellent expense app. Just compiling the receipts is worth the cost of the app, no more lining up all my recipes on the copier at month end. If I could change the PDF layout to landscape, and choose a date range for export (it only lets pick one month at a time, nothing more, nothing less) it would be 5 stars. My billing cycle is mid month, so half the data is worthless for each given expense report to corporate. I hope the developer makes the change!!

Backup the data monthly. Works well for me, even on an iPhone3! However, the update wiped everything!!! Back the data up regularly (email to yourself monthly) or don't use it at all!!

Great app with room to grow. Love the app, takes all the pain out of travel and expenses. Would like to see a couple of enhancements: 1. Ability to record client name against a receipt; 2. Very helpful. Great app. I travel a lot for work so this has been a great help. The only things I would ask to be changed is 1. The ability to add your company logo to the PDF report and 2. In the PDF report to display the description of the expense. It comes up on the excel report but doesn't seem to come up on the PDF. Hopefully they can change this, either way it is still a great and helpful app.

Good little app. Good way to keep track of receipts

Love it!. Saves me hours every time I need to prepare a tax return (quarterly). I'm also saving heaps of filing space as I no longer need to keep the hard copy of the receipts for 7 years.

Don't upgrade - you lose every. I have been using this app since it came out and it has saved me lots of headache. The upgrade has lost all my receipts and I can no longer view the pdf or sen it as email. This upgrade is a big downgrade and you have lost me on this one.

Fails to restore purchase. If you remove the app our change your phone you have to pay again! Contacted support multiple times with no response!

The best simple receipt keeper. By far the best simple app for someone who just wants to keep their receipts for tax purposes etc. No annoying signing up or logging in and extra charges. Nice. Wish they would make an invoice maker in the same vein. :)

good idea, needs mor execution. good concept. would be nice if you could pinch to zoom on the receipt once it's been saved to see it in greater detail. also to save the picture alone to an email address option or back to my camera roll (not in the form of an exported PDF). really just want to make digital copies of important receipts

Great little app. This is a very useful app and very simple to use. Limitations are once you have taken a photo of a receipt you cannot change it, and the PDF report does not include the notes (although the Csv does but that does not have pics). Some refinements would be good but the app is still really capable and super easy to use. Well done app guys.

Love the idea but. Would love the option to be able to sort the receipts weekly. But love the app, so handy.

Update - Bugs. Happy user except after installing update, when I go to view receipts, I noe have multiple folders for the same month. Extremely annoying as it appears for each receipt per month there is now a separate folder ie. 10 receipts in June12 now has 10 folders titled June all showing the same receipts.

Love it. Please add multiple photos per receipt to be able to add multi page documents or receipts. Also allow search by notes. Make it easier to find a receipt you noted as containing a certain item.

Deletes receipts without warning. Do not download this app. Deleted all my receipts without warning. This has cost me a lot of money!!!!

Excellent after sales assist. I loved the app but had trouble changing currencies. One email and all fixed. This is a fantastic app. Saves hours converting later, and the backup support was answered in 12 hours. Can't ask for more than that. Well done from a very satisfied purchaser best .99c I ever spent. Great but a photo bug to fix. I've found this app to be great, however since a recent update it crashes every time I go to take a photo of the receipt. Please fix!

Useless. Asks to add a vendor etc, and you can't. Waste of money... beware!

Glitchy. Thought I'd found the exact app I was after. Tested it out and would've been happy to pay for pro version but it is glitchy. Shuts down constantly, won't save categories and drops out. Great concept with excellent simplicity but NO WAY I would rely on it to save valuable data. Avoid!!!

Good app but... Is there a way to separate categories when creating the PDF? This would be ideal. Great app otherwise...

Not worth the money. You need to enter all data yourself. Waste too much time. Better do it on a proper Mac using all of my fingered. You also you need to manually resize and crop images of the receipt.

Update doesn't convert old files. Will have to dig up my old backups as the update didn't convert my old files

Could be better. Unable to zoom in on image of receipts that are saved in the app. I went to use the app with a retailer but couldn't enlarge the image in order for them to retrieve transaction details. If this were fixed I would rate it more.

All receipts list. I have used this app for at least 4 years.All trace of receipts list now with no explanation and looks like will have to pay to restore-very dodgy,very disappointing and now no record of my receipts as I stupidly didn't keep paper version.

This app rarely works. This app rarely loads. In January, this year, the software developers supplied an "update" through the App Store. Big mistake, if you loaded and installed this "update", you lost all your data!!!! I complained to the writers, who seemed to lack the basic understanding that their app was designed to store data, not remove it, and they explained that "this happens". Yeah sure I can back up my data and yeah sure I could even keep the hard copies that were sent interstate to our head office, but yeah sure they could write an app thats only purpose, which is to store data, can do its job. Now, I go to use the app, and it does not work at all. great purchase!

Not happy with this. I restored my phone through computer and I lost images on this app that they were saved it was iCloud backed up also

This app makes capturing receipts a chore. I was after a quick and easy way to capture receipts but this app makes the whole task a frustrating waste of time. I'm just after something that can enables me to, in under a minute, record a receipt for tax purposes, but this app insists you sign up and upload them to the web. Stay away from this app.

Feedback. Hey guys love the app and think you should mentions that it will crop to size to fit an a4 page as this is really handy. I would love the ability to create a report between two dates as most company's have cut of dates that don't run month to month. Again great work. Jason

Poor quality. Avoid. Pretty poor quality app. No trial version so you get burnt after trying it. Does not scan text like other apps. Export function is poor. $2 wasted.

This is a good app. Easily save all of your receipts and take note of anything else important. A simple and effective app.

Receipt catcher. I've had this app on the phone for some time but thought it was nbg, that was until I gave it a fair go! It's fantastic! I love the way it captures all my details n then able to export both the rct copies n details for use on my pc. Love it! Thanks guys.

Really good app. This app is perfect for anyone who needs to claim expenses from the company. Not only does it store all your receipts but the e-mail function makes it so simple to do monthly claims. Well done receipt catcher

New version warning. Warning Warning. I have been using Receipt Catcher for over a year however doing the update has not converted my data. It is no issue to me, I have copies of each month printed for tax and I chose not to backup to iTunes. The statement that "has never failed in testing" needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Will never purchase the Paid version now and I recommend all user to search for a better quality app.

No other currencies available. I use AU dollars. When I try to change the home currency from GBP to AUD I get an empty list asking me to select currency. Useless!

A Good App. It does what it says, it simply captures the receipt well. It needs to have more categories to group the receipts. We need to be able to group all like receipts and send together, not only by each month. Definitely room for further development. Keep up the good work!

Great App. Use this app you won't be sorry

Good as far as it goes, but..... This is a nice simple app that does what it says, but a few tweaks will make it very useful to a lot of people. 1. There needs to be the option of some sort of image optimisation. This is a receipt scanning app it doesn't need to use full color. 2. There is no way to zoom into the image of the receipt. A4 size receipts are very hard to read. 3. The PDF reports format very nicely but again the larger receipts are hard to read if you print a hard copy - although the full resolution is available on the PDF if you zoom in which is nice. 4. The summary listing at the end of the report needs to be printed landscape as it cuts off some vital info like the full date in portrait. Overall nice and easy to use, I like that it keeps your receipts locally. Some more attention to detail required though.

Lost all my receipts!!! No warranty now. I relied on receipt catcher to keep all my receipts safe. I have lost them all and now in the process of claiming warranty and submitting tax returns and I have nothing. I have emailed the registered email address with no response Pathetic!!

Needs different catagories. I think this app would be amazing if I could categorize the receipts by job name rather than the month.

Doesn't work. I just downloaded this app. I can't choose a vendor or category. There is nothing available. I can't even edit and add my own... Lame and frustrating!!!

Great start.... Great simple app. It has the potential to be 5 stars. However it requires the ability to assign expenses per project, include notes within the one summary, export data per specified time period not just by month, customize reports per project & also to hide unused fields ie "Tip" & "Tax" with show with zeros if not being used. Come on Dan C!!! Go after the 5 stars.

Not Bad. It's ok, but as other ppl have said it lacks the ability to be able to sort properly. Because of this, I will have to find another app that does what I need. Sorry.

WOW. This app would be very good if it had tech support, and if when you went to save and it asks you for a vendor and won't allow you to put in a vendor then it won't save... FML... The one app I actually paid for... Typical.

Can't rate because I can't use it!. I really want to start using this but I can't seem to get it working! I just downloaded the application yesterday and when I go to categories there are none to choose from and no pop up keyboard to create one. I thought maybe you needed to take a picture if the receipt first, and when I did I couldn't retrieved the photo. I'd really like to start using it so if anyone knows how I can contact the developer it would be greatly appreciated!

Great little app. I was pleasantly surprised. I love the full page PDFs it creates with snapshots of receipts. I would have bought it just to avoid taping all my receipts to a piece of paper to make a photocopy. It even emails you the PDF and a csv file that you can sort or do whatever you need with it. I created my own categories and was able to use it to import into our corporate expense system. Where do we go to leave ideas for new features?

Good!. Very easy to use and well thought out. What it's lacking though is: * iCloud support. You can import into Dropbox however if you try to upload another report it does not change the file name therefore it asks if you'd like to overwrite. There's also no way to back up your files so this is a major negative. * Ability to sort by category and customize reports. It only sorts by month which is nice, but not entirely effective for what I need. It's very simplistic however I see the potential. Receipts Disappear. When I edit or delete an entry, all entries end up disappearing and I have to close the app and reopen it

Items on receipt. Line items are important. If I want to search for a certain item a I purchased. I could always type it in the notes, but notes are not searchable. Must add that feature.

Almost perfect. One improvement I request: the option to have so many columns of receipt photos by page is currently in the Settings menu. As this option needs to be changed from project to project, can you move it directly on to the app? This would make things much faster.

Perfect just add OCR. It works great with my 4s It is also a fraction of the cost of others with the same features ie receipts pro - expense tracking with reports If this had OCR to fill in the blanks for me I would recommend it to the chamber of commerce 99 cents ... It's worth it
