No longer works. This used to work on my iPhone but now it just crashes when I try to launch it.

Taiwan is not part of China. I receive a email travel alert from this service and it shows I am traveling to “Taiwan(China)”. I feel insecure with this company. Are they going to send the support from China to save me in Taiwan when China invade Taiwan. What a ridiculous business setup.

Does not work on iPad. The app simply does not work on an iPad. When attempting to launch, a blue screen appears for a few seconds, and then it crashes. This limits the utility of this service when you really need it.

Never works. I get push notifications from the app regularly, but when I try to open the app to learn more, the app just doesn't open and i go back to home screen. This has been going on for months. Makes the app essentially useless. Please fix!

Great but.... App works well for me. Only request is that the text be a bit bigger and bolder. In some cases text is gray on grey as well as small with no options to pinch/squeeze or readily adjust font. Developer not following Apple Accessibility Guidelines.

Update does not work. My company wants us to use this app, so I downloaded it. Right away it says I need to update it but when you select “update” it just takes you back to the App Store to open it. It’s a closed loop back and forth with no escape. First of all, why would they not have that latest version in the App Store? Second, if they need to do this way for some reason then fix the broken process.

So buggy it’s worthless. I would love to have an app like this that works. When I want to have it automatically locate me, it thinks I’m in the UK no matter where I am. It leaves my home country page as Brazil even though I checked in at home in Chicago. Push notifications sent to my email are all outdated.

Significant enhancements. The new app looks great. I can’t wait to start traveling again.

Terrible. GPS continues to run, even when selected to use only when using application. Application routinely needs reinstalled, which requires phone connection, ie cannot be done over internet alone. Very inconvenient when faced with SOS distress call to have to reset your application .

Piece of.... This app is so useless. It collects your location data and gives you nothing. I’m in NY why are you showing me weather alerts from Kansas? I can’t even select a city to receive alerts about. Cheap UI/UX may require to bleach your eyes. As bad as an app can get...

No confidence - Don’t download this app. I am not convinced this service we be here when I need it. Our company provide this service since we are Global and travel (A lot)! App worked when I first installed and never again. Tried uninstall and reinstalling to no bueno. Won’t let me log in, won’t let me get a new password, won’t let me send and error message. It has al the options but none of them work!

Never Ending Notifications.... I find this app frustrating... I get notifications for the entire US even though I’m in California, and a notification is for Florida. It wants my itinerary, yet once it gets the info, doesn’t seem to use it to limit alerts. Finally after looking through every notification, I still get a 1 on the notification badge for the app. My company is paying too much for this.

iPad version needs landscape mode. Nobody uses their iPad in portrait mode.

Saves Lives. This app is incredible! International sos saves lives literally everyday. They make it all possible starting right here in the app. User friendly connections globally that really come into play during a time of need.

Overly complicated. I’ve worked with other companies and they were not as difficult to get the information needed for the trips and provided more assistance with preparing for them with regards to visas, vaccinations, and requirements.

Does not work with personal travel policies. The app does not recognize membership numbers for personal travel insurance purchased directly from the International SOS website. Customer service contact to try to get it working is useless, providing clueless responses such as :”We don’t know who the account manager for this membership number is. Please reach out to the account manager or the person who provided you with this membership number “. This, after forwarding the automatic email confirmation of the purchase, complete with membership number, instructions to download the app and instructions for contacting the the tech support folks that then sent me the clueless reply above. Makes it a worthless app.

I can now see upcoming travel and I like the new colours. I've been using this app for travel for almost 3 years and it has been quite good for viewing country risks. But this new version is much better because it also shows me my upcoming travel and relevant alerts which is super useful. And I like the new colours.

Tio Notch. Works fine and contain a lot of information about health but also most countries basic info for travelers and makes a far more professional impact than a lot of free apps. Recommended with registered member ship!

Stuck in Update Now. I downloaded the app for the first time, opened it, and it tells me I need to update. I press the update button, it takes me back to the App Store, and then I’m presented with the Open button. Crap first impression.

Frustrating. Every time I attempt to log on after changing country I am prompted to enter a password... very frustrating. The check in feature is slow..

App needs significant work. The reason for the app is good. The execution is terrible. For a person who travels a lot there needs to be a way to check into several locations ahead of travel in order to see what’s happening before you get there. I should be able to pick a location and get all the most recent reports on it right away and sign up for notifications. The way it works now you check in with current location which isn’t helpful to anticipate issues.

Horrible app. Just purchased the membership of International SOS, and went on to download app. Absolute nightmare experience. Crap does not work, cannot get past setup screens. I hope this is not an indication of their main product. For someone talking up their app as much as they do, it sure is a piece of S… technology. And getting to any support is a “go fish” type of experience. This is a do-over in 2023. Don’t expect this from companies like this.

Great app for travelers. Getting up to date alerts is really helpful, even when not traveling. During the lockdown phase of the pandemic I was completely up to date with covid related information and safety information on riots.

App is terrible!. Good idea, but the app only opens (iPhone) about 10% of the time, sometimes you can see the alerts, which are helpful when they flash by on your lock screen, but they need to really improve the reliability of the app itself.

Wow. App is unusable. I get served terms and conditions and the buttons for accept and reject don’t work. No way past this. Was this app even tested? How did this even get accepted by Apple which is notoriously painful for app promotion to production??

Good service, weak App. The App is slow and clumsy. I hope it works better when I’m in an emergency

Terrible using APP. When I’m putting in a itinerary it allows some entries but freezes on some flight numbers or times and I can never complete a full entry to record my flight. When I click to give technical feedback the link doesn’t go anywhere. You just hit it and nothing happens. I’ve had to start over and still can’t finish a full flight entry 🤷🏼‍♂️

COVID Trip Planner. Solid addition/update to the APP. It’s handy having a tool to check on travel restrictions re: COVID as I am starting to travel again.

Wrong Perspectives. As an app, it should always be designed from the users perspective and not anything else. In today’s world, most users have more then 100 apps in their devices, lots of users uses the search function to look for Apps within their devices. What words do you think they would search for ? iSOS, Emergency etc... and your app is called?... User interface isn’t design to optimise on iOS. Where I can see cut off statements.. unclear which tabs the user is in. Although you may say many users could still see it but... is emergencies designed for many? Or for everyone? Being an international security company. What this app is saying abt the company may not be just. But do take note it is saying something and it’s not something nice.

Great App For Frequent Travelers. Very easy way to stay in touch with security and health issues when traveling

Painful and frustrating to use. My organization requires me to use this service/app. If that were not the case no way would I use it. It is supposed to be easy, but isn’t, because the features that are designed to make it easy don’t work.

This is a paid service?. This is not a review of the services provided should you call, this is a review of the App itself. The App is cumbersome and has the feel of a first time developer. It is very rudimentary. The US State Department has more relevant information. The “Physical Safety” travel warnings information presented is out of date. I would expect information to be color coded and presented in 4 categories: Current (what is happening); Recent History (what has happened within the past month); and Historical (what’s happened from 1 month to 5 years ago-in a condensed overview); then linked with US State Dept (and others) Travel Warnings. For “Health Safety” here is no information provided via App for prophylactic advice to mitigate local health concerns. Appropriate links to US CDC, WHO, and others should be made easily accessible. There is no mention of the quality of locale health service capability, or location/contact information. The only information provided via App for those “on the road” is a phone number to call, which in most cases is not a local country call, let alone a toll free number. This App, if any indication of services provided, screams go elsewhere!

Can’t change trip info after wrong input. nice one devs

Improved UI and Federated Identity, but issues still persist. Why do I have to authenticate every week? I set it up with the new auth before my trip and it worked the couple times I checked in during. But when I got back, it was like I never used the app before. Glad I wasn’t having an emergency and had to go through setup again in another country.

The App is not working. I couldn’t open the App on my iPhone 11Pro. Every time I’m trying to open the it’s exit by itself without reaching login page?? Looking for your fastest response or update. I’ve tried to restart the phone several times. Thanks

Pretty useful app but terms of service notice appears every time I use it. Aside from the terms of service notice coming up every time (I “accept” each time too), it’s useful. High priority news and notifications must be more timely. For example, news about social unrest should be immediate. In the past, I got the notification a full day after the unrest and after it had already been widely reported in national and international news.

App just keeps spinning. Apps keeps spinning and you never get into it. I am getting alerts but wish they were able to be more able to tell if they were really for my location I’m in US and get alerts for all over US.

App tries to “correct” how you spell your name. The app design is stupid. I typed in my name without realizing the app respelled it into a word. Now I’m registered with a name that isn’t mine (and likely no one has this last name). I tried to register a 2nd time, but it wouldn’t accept my name.

Great Service App needs work. GREAT SERVICE! Used their service when I was drugged and physically assaulted in Shanghai. These folks did OUTSTANDING jib of getting me to hospital and even called me when back in the US to see how I was doing. Now the reason for 3 stars. The app needs a lot if work. It dies nit function as smoothly as most common apps. My biggest grip would be getting rid of alerts either once I read them or ones I don't want to see. I can not just swipe them to get rid of them. Lots of information here just needs some work on the app.

Really useful!. I think the previous review must be referring to an older version, because I’ve found this app to be really helpful in terms of layout and content - not clunky at all, and very intuitive to use. The chat feature is especially helpful!

App Does not work. Installed however when trying to open, it says app needs an update. Press on that and it takes you back to the App Store which tells you it’s already installed. Frustrating.

App & Online Account. Not worth getting this App, no value!!!! Cannot get account updates, purchase or upgrade plans. No information to when plans are set to expire. Very limited and other organizations in the same sector have far better online/App services. If your a small business international traveler, this isn’t for you!!!!!!!!

New Fave. My favorite app!!! So much info available. Psyched about using it to plan my next trip.

Absolute junk and waste of time. My university recommended we use this for business travel, but after an hour of various registration related actions and filling of endless forms, it still does not work. Utter junk.

No longer works…. even after latest update. 7.2.0. It complains about connection speed and never opens. Reinstalling changes nothing. Boy, I sure hope there are no emergencies…

I don’t get it. I’ve used this app during my travels throughout Central and Eastern Europe. I find the information about various countries to be outdated and simply worthless. Additionally there were things I expected to be reported through the app that were not appearing. Not sure how this company is a leader is travel medicine and security when it really has no clue what is happening.

Please change location service settings. Fortunately for me I have not had to use this app in an emergency. But is has been using mobile data even when the app is not open it in background. It must be sending my location and the only 2 options are never and always. Please add a While Using option. What is the valid and legitimate reason for accessing my location when the app is off? There isn't any.

When in life and dead still need special characters... this is stupid. Your password must contain at least one special character[@#$%^&+=_].

Complainers. I find the App useful those whinging about Performace concerns did you report this and did you follow up or blame the App because your phone is the issue I am a global traveler and works just as the App is designed too as far as I am concerned

Difficult to navigate. I remember the previous version having sections with the security cultural and medical guidance for each country but now I can only seem to view the alerts. It's also too easy to log yourself out, and if you have logged in via your company membership number, it doesn't seem to remember your profile, you have to create a new one every time you log in. For an admin perspective, I don't like that members can log in without an individual profile, it makes it hard to track who is/isn't using the app.

App crashes when launching. Since the last update I cannot open the app, continuously crashes.

Notifications. Great timely notifications for travel locations.

Unusable half the time. This app used to be functional. Now it’s stuck on the ‘can’t check in because an update is required’ but then there’s no update even after a forced close/reopen. Frustrating when all you need to do is check in. Seriously needs a slimmed down no fuss version without updates every two days and added bloatware. It should allow to check ins if updated within the last few days. Data is limited depending on Country visited

App Launch Crashes. App has been crashing when launching, cannot even load into the main screen. Please address.

An emergency app that freezes. This app is slow, especially the location function. Why does an app that is for emergency situations freeze, need restating, or perpetually has the loading symbol.

Rubbish. This App is rubbish. I can’t load my trip because the “need assistance” button covers the menu. The thought of using this App in an international emergency fills me with dread.

Crashes immediately. Demands to constantly know your location and then crashes :-(

Many shortcomings. The time format if my itineraries only show in 12 hour format. So sometimes I arrive at a destination “before” I depart from my origin. I also can’t get the app to send me notifications to remind me to check in on a regular basis

Not useful. I logged in ok by filling out my profile and it recognized my company (from my email?), but after I logged in it asked for my name and number again which wouldn’t save. Also can’t create an upcoming trip, can only get info for the country I’m currently in not the one I’m Travelling to.

Useless. Resetting password email function is broken. Reset the password and the system doesn’t recognise it after following the instructions closely.

Some annoying aspects. Why do you have to confirm every time you add or remove a favourite country? A useless step, please remove. Also, why limit you to 25 favourites? What if your area of interest, eg: Africa, has more than 25 countries? Who to ignore? Hmm.

Useful App for all Travel. Love being able to check alerts for all travel including Australia, good to know I am able to get help easily if necessary or phone for advice before/during travel

Garbage. Can't even log in because "an error occurred". Deleted.

Doesnt load. Used to be great... since upgrading to iPhone 8 the app no longer loads. Tap on icon to load... get the apps blue screen for about 15 seconds and it just closes back up....

App Just crashes and won’t open. I recently upgraded to latest iPhone with latest iOS and the app won’t open. This is concerning as previously I would have rated this app and support as 5 star following the great service e for a medical issue when travelling previously. As I am about to travel shortly I opened the app to check - it just flashes then crashes. Very concerned.

The last version was better. Why change something that worked fine! Now it less functional and I had to set up my account all over again.

Keeps sending alerts when I’m at home. This app is annoying me with constant requests to check in - even in my home country/city, and then keeps sending me alerts for not only my city, but also places all over my country - which being Australia means I’m getting alerts for cities on the other side of the country! This is bad, as I’m starting to learn to ignore the alerts, and if it can’t be stopped I’ll have to switch off the alerts, which defeats the purpose of having the app in the first place.

Rubbish app. Despite all efforts to enter the correct membership number it keeps defaulting back to a wrong membership.

Issues that weren't there previously. I started with this app earlier in the year and there appeared to be no issues. Since updating I am very much unable to access the content and information provided at all. Slow to use and I needed to reinstall the app as it wouldn't stop crashing on starting it (this did fix it though). Inside the app, if I want to read further information on a topic (i.e. Healthcare in Laos) it will just constantly load and not resolve. Needs to be fixed. Not a very usable app at the moment for research purposes.

Poor app for such an expensive service. Slow to load and difficult to navigate. A simpler menu system would be better. The content though is excellent, and notifications come through albeit slowly.

Doesn’t do much. Can’t find any way of loading a travel itinerary. It seems to provide some security information for cities and a direct call button and that’s it.

Slow and lags. The slowest app on my phone right now, by a significant margin. This app is just a skin to external sites. All features and icons will just link to external sites using the even slower built-in browser. I’ve never seen so may requests to login and to accept cookies in my entire life. Not ideal for an an app that is meant to be used in emergencies.

You wouldn’t want to be in an emergency. This app is barely functional. It requires you to register each time you access and now won’t even let me enter my email address. I was trying to check an alert but impossible. Should be disabled until it is fixed

Nothing but crushing - USELESS. Continuously crashes upon launch. How can you rely on it when you need help in extreme circumstances if you can’t even start the the app??? I can’t believe my company provides travel insurance through the app. Garbage.

App. Performance. The information on this App is amazing and relatively easy to navigate. However, performance when going from one area to another is a litte painfull.

Unlock email address updating. I was assigned a recycled account when I signed up and cannot update the locked email address over to mine. Useless to me until the update is done for me or unlocked for me to do it myself.

Garbage... I’m a pilot with Air Canada... the app no longer works nor can you load a newer version. NO ONE CARES. Use google instead...

Very poor implementation to work in limited internet coverage areas. The application requires to be fully loaded every time and goes through some percentage of loading- however when I am in poor internet coverage area it never loads fully. It should have some cached data and use absolute minimum amount of data to warn about the various problems. It is also critical when internet coverage is affected by various natural disasters. It should have option of sending texts instead as well, when data is unavailable.

Doesn’t actually work. Can’t save a profile Can’t check in Still thinks I’m in the same place I was a month ago. “Unable to update profile, please try again”. Garbage. I shudder to think what a mess I’d be in if I actually need this in an emergency.

Please fix. When will this app be fixed for the latest iOS? Haven’t been able to open for months which renders this service null and void.

Apple Wallet support. It would be great to let users add the membership card to Apple Wallet.

Everlasting Notification. I have no unread alerts or anything else, and yet still have a notification... :(

Cannot create an account. Need to check a box to accept Terms of Service but there is no box.

Excellent service and peace of mind. My company subscribes to this service and I had been informed to download the app on my smartphone. So glad I did - I was terribly ill in Italy and called the service via the app and help was on the way. Very caring and the service followed up with me several times. They sent a doctor to my hotel room. Cost for the house call was reasonable and the peace of mind priceless!

Good idea, poor in execution. I do not want an app I need a password every time I need to use it. Lame. I forget passwords all the time. Isn't that why Touch ID is used on apple phones?

Terrible app. After I receive a text notification of some alert, I am unable to open the app. What’s the value in that?

Latest update is better but needs work. The new user interface is a nice improvement and easier to navigate to the things that matter. There are a few things that stand out as needing improvement though: -Notifications - I have a push notification icon but cannot figure out how to get the little icon to go away. What's causing this alert? There isn't an intuitive way to tell. They should add a notifications icon to the main page when you open the app to review and clear any notifications. -Many countries are large (US in particular) and getting notifications for the entire country isn't really ideal or valuable. Segmenting by city would be really helpful. -View cities - The button to click to view cities is too small and requires that the words be clicked rather than the entire tile. This is frustrating because the link is right next to the call button.

Needs Touch ID. This app is OK but really needs some modern conveniences.

Terrible and unreliable. For an app supposed to help with lifesaving alerts, it’s slow, sends erroneous alerts, and you’d be safer relying on the news or something else.

App needs some love. The app is...quite broken. Can’t login with an ID I just registered, crashes and hangs regularly, other things. I’d start again with a new contractor.

Stuck on loading screen. When I try to login, the app stays on the loading screen.

Sounds nice but.... I opened password reset email as soon as I received it but when I open it it says “The link to reset the password has expired.” Could never get logged in.

A must have app for international travelers. Membership is provided by my employer and this is an excellent tool and service. Info could be gathered from local press, etc in some cases but having the 'one stop' support this provides is essential.

Doesn’t open anymore. iPhone 7, it doesn’t open anymore. Would have been useless when I was in China. Fortunately I didn’t have any problems.

Can't live without!. I travel the world on business and this app has been invaluable to me. It keeps me aware and able to manage the risks around me. I won't travel without it.

Keeps logging me out!. This newest update is horrible!! It keeps logging me out and every time I log back in, it wants me to create a profile again. It doesn't remember me. It also won't let me create an itinerary without registering but when I go to register, it won't let me register with my email (it keeps asking for a corporate one which I don't have because I have ISOS with my university). Before the update, I was getting regular alerts and had no issues at all. Whatever they did to the app totally screwed it up!! Fix please!!!

App fades to black at launch. Just updated to the latest version and the app just turns black after starting. There’s a splash screen and then just fades to black.

Faulty on iPad Pro. I hace the app working on an iPhone 7 Plus and now on an iPad Pro. In the iPhone it works well, but in the iPad it closes as soon as it is open.
