True work of art!. Beautiful concept, all 3 games are wonderful in their own way. I haven’t tried Chuchel yet but I’m betting it’ll be just as good. Machinarium is probably my favorite of the three, but only by a small margin. These guys are so talented, each game is completely unique in feel, sound and graphics. Never seen anything like it. Like a good film, they create a complete “feel” and immersive experience. Some puzzles are difficult, but it feels like you’re actually solving the puzzles (which are often a game within a game) with your mind and not just eyes like most “puzzle” games. “The Room” series are definitely worth a try but these Amanita games are a whole different territory. A joy for/in every sense. Thank you Amanita people!! :-)

Looks great, but some real problems. On the plus side of the ledger, I absolutely loved this game's graphics and found the storyline cute and engaging. Machinarium is, however, plagued by some significant problems. Game play is occasionally hampered by poor touch screen control — the pleasure derived by puzzle games lies in their ability to stimulate the mind; they shouldn’t rely on the user tapping exactly the right pixel at exactly the right millisecond, as too frequently happens in this game. More critically, gameplay can be completely blocked by any of various bugs. My own progress came to a shrieking halt about three-quarters of the way through (not an inconsiderable investment of my time) after encountering one such documented bug.

Worth Every Penny. I have finally found the perfect game. I love it because if you need something to do, you can spend hours on one level. It takes much longer the first time through. I would suggest that if you get this game, don’t look at tutorials online. The game is way more fun when you have to figure it out. And don’t worry, all the puzzles are possible. This game is beautiful, and the sound is crazy amazing for a mobile app. If I could rate more than five stars I would. Great job, devs.

BUY this game and don’t give up!. I believe this is the first review I’ve ever written. There as so many things I can say about this game. It’s difficult, stimulating, GORGEOUS, etc. The storyline is a ‘cutesie’ one, easy enough to follow along to, while the game proves to be complicated enough for any adult to find themselves head scratching here and there. The passion of the designers is evident in EVERY level/scene. The attention to detail, be it Tim flies or colors in the sky, is remarkable. If you enjoy a good puzzle and have the patience to wait for your robot to slowly stroll into the next room (I’ve contemplated hurling my phone at moments), do yourself a favor and buy. This. Game.

Trial and error. I loved Samorost 3 and Chuchel, and while this one has the same amazing art and world building, the puzzles are rather tedious and unintuitive. I decided to quit at the minecart and claw puzzle where I have to keep redoing the same action sequence every time I try something that doesn’t work. Sometimes I don’t even know to click something because there are no hotspots. Sure there are hints, but that defeats the purpose. I think the designers learned from their mistakes and made their later games better...

Not bad at all. This is a good puzzle solving game. A little hard to be honest , but they provide a hint page. However They literally show you how to solve all the puzzles step by step on the hint page, Kind of takes away from the game in my opinion. But on the flip side there are puzzles with zero hints what so ever, so u have to access the walkthrough page if u really want to move solve them . Also to acces the walk through is annoying , i played that mini game like 3 dozens times. I doubt you can complete this game on the 1st go without using the walk through. Even tho the hints are vague at times. I tried solving all the puzzles without the hints i got pretty far in each puzzle , but i got stuck at the end in a lot of them. And its always for the same reason, i overlooked an item i missed (because items blend in to the surroundings way too good, need to give em a shine of sparkle) i cant recall how many times i walked passed something i needed because it was camoflaged into the background, lol. Good game. Def recomend samorost 3 as well. Puzzles are a little easier to solve there.

Best game ever; frustrating on iPhone. I've been doing puzzle games since Zork; I've probably played hundreds. I love a good story and difficult solving. Machinarium is my favorite game of all time--killer music and environmental audio, gorgeous visuals, clever puzzling (the garden entrance puzzle may be the best ever). Plus, it has walkthroughs if you just get stumped and can't figure out where to go next. I've played through this probably four times, but always on a computer. On a tiny iPhone 6 screen, it's nearly impossible to see every clue or manipulate every control. The bomb puzzle nearly requires a magnifying glass, and several others had such specific click zones it took dozens of tries for an otherwise easy puzzle. This is really not the fault of the developers--they've built a lush, rich environment, densely packed with visual clues. There's probably no way to make the work on an iPhone. iPad, maybe. Computer, definitely.

Not my Favorite by Amanita.... I loved Creaks and Pilgrims, but I did not like Machinarium! The puzzles were way too difficult and hard to figure out on my own and the mini game hint system got so monotonous I found myself wanting to delete the game without even finishing! There were some parts of the puzzles that I don’t see how anyone could figure it out without the walkthrough or being one of the designers. Who knows, maybe I’m just incompetent, but Idid finish the game and then deleted it to never play again! I’m not sure I want to pay for any other Amanita games, but I will say this: the graphics and story are one of a kind and beautifully done! Just take it easy on the complexity of the challenges for those of us more casual players.

All Time Favorite App. I’ve played this game over and over again. The art is beautiful. The story is interesting and funny. The puzzles are challenging and satisfying once complete. I’ve praised this game since it first released years ago, and I still keep coming back to do it all over again. My favorite memory is probably the first time I beat the old man at connect four. It took me so many tries! I did a celebration dance once I finally beat him. Haha!

Haters will say it’s too difficult.. If you are looking for a puzzle game that doesn’t feel linear and gives you strange and unexpected challenges along the way then this will be money well spent for you. I personally love that the hint system is kept under lock and key because a good game should challenge you to figure things out rather than resign at the first sign of difficulty. Also the music, aesthetics and quirkiness add an additional level of immersion that tips the scale to 5 stars for me.

My favorite game. I’ve had this game for a very long time, and have memorized every puzzle and can complete the game in less than an hour. Even though I’ve beaten it so many times, it’s still super fun and I’ve yet to have any major issues with it. The art style is great (although a little bit creepy at times) and the puzzles are intriguing. There are a few minor bugs here and there, but overall a great experience and I highly recommend it!

Amazing!. I just finished the game. It’s like a great book in that it’s easy to find yourself unable to put it down. The story is sweet and the puzzles are just hard enough to get you slightly frustrated. The music is awesome and you will quickly like some of the characters. The main character has some sweet dance moves! I loved the artwork and wish they would come up with something to top this. But honestly that would be really hard to do.

Challenging and interesting. It takes a while to get used to the mechanics of this game. One may be tempted to give up at the draw bridge (near the beginning) but persevere- you will get used to it! The puzzles were challenging but I didn’t need walk-throughs or clues. Sometimes the hints were helpful to point me in the right direction, but otherwise it just took a lot of thinking! Variety of puzzles and challenges. Some was logic, others made one think outside the box. Very well done!

Even Better Than I expected.... It’s kind of difficult for me to pull the trigger on a game that costs money these days. There are so many free apps and games out there that I rarely see any value in it. This game is different. I was immediately drawn to this one by its beautiful artwork and animation. It’s like a steampunk-style creation with incredible graphics, a neat little story somehow told with no language, and scores of puzzles that you have to solve with virtually your own brains (though hints and blueprints can be acquired if you really get stuck). My six year-old daughter and I have a blast huddling together over my phone playing together and working out the puzzles with tiny clues often overlooked, and the story progresses at such a steady pace that you just can’t help but get absorbed by it. I would buy this game again and again without hesitation and I would recommend it to anyone.

Loved it but now....?. This game worked perfectly on my iPad two years ago and was beautiful and a ton of fun. I just tried to play it again now and it is very buggy on the same iPad. The game will not save and every time I open it I cannot resume, but it starts at the bridge with the traffic cone hat. I load scenes, and when I reenter the game, all of the scenes are gone and again I have to start at the bridge.I got a quick response from the team, but no help since that first response. I have deleted and downloaded it again. We’ll see if it improves the situation at all.

Too many bugs. I’ve heard a lot good reviews before I downloaded it to my iPad. Then I found that maybe the game itself has a unique style, but the experience of playing it is terrible. And I’m sure it’s not my device’s problem since mine is the new iPad Pro and I’ve played many other games while none of them have any issue. 1. The music and sound effects disappeared for many times and restart the game won’t even fix it 2. The whole screen got stuck when I tried to solve a puzzle and went back to normal once I stopped trying. So I have to give up and delete this game because I couldn’t move forward anymore. 3. The controls are very difficult. If you want to use some of the equipments you’ve obtained, you have to place them PRECISELY where they belong and sometimes even try several times for it to work. I still think this is a good game and I assume it might work better on PC or Mac. But please fix these bugs in this iOS version. Look forward to seeing its update.

Loved playing it for 10years. I first discovered this game when I lived in Korea 10years ago. I had just bought my first iPad to aide in teaching English to my students. That winter there was record breaking snowfall that had the city paralyzed leaving me stuck in my apartment for days. I decided to browse around for games and discovered the beautiful little world of Josef. His adventure to save his girlfriend Berta was so exciting for me. Before the iPad I hadn’t played games since Atari, it just never interested me, but the graphics, the sounds, the challenge and the storyline had me hooked playing well into the night. Each year since I’ve played the game at least once and get to fall in love with the junk yard and it’s colorful characters all over again. I hope you find joy in it as well.

Best game. I have the bundle set for this game package and it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. Visually beautiful, attention to detail is amazing, the characters are cute and the puzzles are nice and challenging- with help if you decide you need it. Things that I live for! I normally play on my iPad, but I downloaded Samorost to my iPhone for a change and machinarium to start all over again since I never finished. Botanicula was the cutest thing ever. Hope to see a game or two come out soon!

Amazing graphics, fun game, frustrating controls. I adore the graphics, story and gameplay of this game but like a few others am playing on an iPhone and find the controls frustrating. I got a few good levels in but then lost progress and had to start again, which wouldn't be a big deal if the controls worked properly... even though the second time around I knew what the correct moves were, I had to tap or drag things a bunch of times (e.g. Dyeing the hat blue) before they actually worked. Think I will give up for the time being.

Battery glitch. Hello developers. I found a marvelous glitch that was broke my game completely and forced me to restart. If you never get the money and just continue forward through the game without buying the battery you get stuck in between the garden and the guard at the door past it. He needs a batter for his kid and I can't go back to get it. I didn't save because I didn't know you could. This is mostly my fault but I would bet money on this not being the first time this has ever happened to someone. Thanks for listening please fix this story trap. Also I'd like to say I love this game and please continue development

I want to, but can't play it's cause of the controls. I am on an iPad. I love the graphics, music, artwork, and what I have seen of the story line and characters. What is so impossibly frustrating is the cursor acts like it is not calibrated. It jumps all over, clicks when it wants to, randomly. After thirty minutes and making it past the junkyard, I gave up with the bridge blue paint cone lightbulb level because I could never get the robot to do anything three gadgets. I never got the space invaders thing. I so want to like this game. But I can't get through it if the cursor acts so squirrelly. :-(

Beautiful world in artwork and concept. I wish this game was an animated movie or short and not just a game. A robot city with thieves, an underdog hero, and a love story is wonderful. That said, as s puzzle game, I found Machinarium to be too difficult. Puzzles come in two forms: First is the set of steps you must preform as the hero. Walking around the city, collecting items and performing tasks. These are never obvious (hence a puzzle) but to the extreme. The discoverability of what's possible is frustrating; you end up touching everything in view to see what it does or doesn't do. This gets old quickly. The second form are the mini puzzle games you must complete. Zero instruction is provided and sometimes it feels like your reading the developer's mind to know what to do. I wish this game had been developed with variable difficulty in mind.

Fun, but too short and bad hint system. This game has great graphics and I love the tone. The puzzles were interesting and generally well done. There are two main drawbacks for me. First, I think the game is too short given it’s price. Second, I think the hint system, which is crucial for a game like this, has a terrible flaw. Generally I don’t care that you have to play a mini game to access the walkthrough. The problem is that it shows you the walkthrough for the area you’re in, regardless of where you might be in the chain of puzzles. So you might have access to 6 or 7 areas and not be sure where to go next. You’ll have to go to each area, play the mini game, and hope there’s something you can actually do there. This also means that you will sometimes bypass the actual puzzle accidentally because the walkthrough for the area you’re in just has the final solution to another area’s puzzle.

Beautiful and engaging. I love this game - for its beautiful, steam punk/ dystopian picture-book aesthetic; for its quirky humor; and for the engaging adventure neatly interspersed with puzzles and challenges. My seven year old son and I have worked through the full game and we’re now on our second go, because it’s such a cool, imaginative world. On the strength of this, I’ve gotten hold of all the other Amanita games currently on the market, and they’re all awesome in different ways, but this is still my favorite.

Prison Puzzle Impossible. I was really enjoying the game up until the prison safe puzzle with the green triangle. Unfortunately the “Cheat Book” is no help and basically tells you that to move on you need a to solve the puzzle. I wish there was a way to bypass the puzzle or rest it to something else like the wiki suggests but even when I step out of the room or reset the game the puzzle is the same. If a developer is reading this please help me out! I really want to continue playing this visually beautiful and plot based game!

Awesome, but... I love the game, it's super cute, the puzzles can be really hard to figure out what you're supposed to do sometimes but the walkthrough is helpful. Only problem is I can't finish the game because the radio in the big tower won't play the song, I can't hear it even when I wear headphones, only the background music. I've watched walkthroughs so I know I'm doing the right thing but the sound won't play and also when I go to use the little instrument with the keys outside they don't push down, and if they do I can only push them down once and then they get stuck there, stopping me from being able to play the notes. Gah! It's awesome in every other aspect. EDIT: I closed out of the app completely and reopened it, that seemed to fix it. Yay! Ending is kinda short tho I wish they went back and saved that little alien guy or whoever he was

Just one problem. The only issue i have with this game is the the fact that there is only 1 of them. after i completed the story i waited for a second one because it was jsut an amazing play through the entire time. for the unique design to the beautiful music in every scene, this game was the best game i’ve ever bought, but the only issue is that it was over to soon. the story was amazing, each puzzle was fun to play and different then the last, the music was pure harmony. i just wish there was another one.

Too many logic puzzles. Machinarium is a mixed bag. On the plus side it’s a beautiful game with wonderfully drawn characters. The music is hit or miss; some of it is nicely done but some of it is just random noise. The problem is the plot, such as it is, is just a device to move you from logic puzzle to logic puzzle. And there were way too many logic puzzles for this game to be enjoyable. Most are too difficult and non-intuitive. I was constantly having to go online guides to figure out what I was supposed to do next. Not an enjoyable experience. I thought I was purchasing an adventure game in the spirit of the Monkey Island series. Instead I got something that felt like math class.

I love this game. It’s a very interesting puzzle with a story. It does make you think and he very attentive and observ the little details. It does provide Hits for those times when you get stuck, but without spoiling the game. Music and special effects and ambient sounds are superb, specially on my 12.9” iPad Pro M2. I also play it in the AppleTV and iPhone.

Difficult controls, gameplay isn’t intuitive. Their are several places where the controls of the game are very specific in a not intuitive way- you must stand in position A, not position B to get an item to work when neither position is obviously more applicable. I’m currently stuck trying to get the elevator to go up BC the lever action area is under the full screen toggle bar on modern iPhones. This is just lazy programming. Okay but frustrating puzzle game overall.

LOVED. until.... this was a solid 5 star until the arcade level. ok, the spider game to unlock hints was retro and cut, but having the *entire game* riding on how well i can play space invaders without a joystick has totally ruined it for me. (also having the game on the left and controls on the right is just poor design. have been killed wayyyy too many times because i was looking at the arcade game screen on the left and missed the button conveniently located on the opposite side of the screen.) so, yeah, if i wanted to play hours of space invaders i'd go back to the 80's and get usable controls! am going to see if my husband can beat it because i've invested so much time, but there should be an option to skip this nonsense, or play a different game, or an actual puzzle, or find a coin someone else dropped, or pretty much *anything* but this...was excited to buy your other games, but now, not so much...

Hmmm...... Ok. So, I know you just did an update. But,for some reason...my game will not save! All the slots are filled with games that I previously saved, yet there is no way to delete them, completely! Which,is what may need to be done in order for me to save a current game. So,no matter how far I get, and,am told my current progress is saved, that is never the case when I return. Already deleted several times, both game,history,cookies,etc...I know the routine. NO CIGAR! NOT my brand new iPad Air 2's fault! Nor pilot error, people, so please...WORK THE PROBLEM! I love this game! Don't...tear us apart! 😢

Cool graphics but disappointing. I loved Creaks so I thought I would love this game too. It has cool graphics but as someone else mentioned, these aren’t always puzzles to figure out so much as games you have to win in order to proceed. Super frustrating considering I’ve been stuck on the nuts and bolts game for days now. I have won multiple times and every time the robot bangs the table all the nuts and bolts are gone, out of view, unable for me to collect. I’m playing on an iPhone 13 pro max. I don’t know if that makes a difference in game play but I’m about to delete this game. This doesn’t seem right that I have actually won the part of the game 10 or more times but have only been able to collect the nuts once which wasn’t enough to progress in the game. Very disappointing.

Engaging, immersive, tedious. While the music and graphics were entertaining, the storyline complimented the play. However, playing on a Iphone had many drawbacks. Mainly my finger was larger than areas with up to three choices. The graphics just don't fit this platform. I later downloaded to the iPad making things easier. Manu objects were so obscure to the use it was tedious. I found myself only staying motivated by watching the action playthrough on utube. Without it, I would have abandoned the game. Puzzles were thoughtful amd challenging. Also, they were way random. Who expects to receive tokens after playing video games??!!

Addicting. This game is so much fun! Very challenging and unique in a lot of ways. Josef is a cute and determined robot who just wants to rescue his girl and escape Machinarium. You are given one free hint for each “area”, but this does not go a long way to helping solve the puzzle. I recommend playing the little spider shooter game within the guide book in your star menu for in depth assistance, when you’re stumped. The little additions of mini games just makes this game so much better! Hoping there is a second game soon!

Excellent game for anytime, anywhere. I first played this game when I was on vacation to the Czech Republic, where I was first shown the game. I was immediately hooked, with it's amazing storyline, excellent audio, and epic content. The story of a little robot making his way through an automated castle to find his trapped love is simply heart-warming, and makes for one of the best mobile games I've ever played.

Lovely adventure. A good way to spend an afternoon if you're looking for some point-and-click puzzling. Only complaint is the clunkiness of movement through some of the later scenes, I went to the level 0 of the elevator and got pushed back several screens without a way to just get back into the elevator and had to go all the way around including going back over an already solved puzzle again.

Lovely App. I love everything, but there are a few minor things that need to be fixed. The whole app would freeze and I won’t be able to move until I completely close out of the app. I’ve had to restart the whole game once, because the app just didn’t want to work at that level. Then once I redid everything and passed that level it does the same thing after two levels above the one I’ve had to restart.I love the app. Worth paying for, but the small minor bugs and stuff make me wanna scream and break my phone.

Extremely frustrating. I loved Botanicula but I hate this one. Often the controls just plain don’t work and I have to try the same thing over and over again wondering if I’ve missed something. There is also a lot of just watching, either while the robot moves from place to place or the stories that play out in the speech bubbles. Not sure I’ll keep playing this one. ETA: Appreciate a response from the developer. However the problem is mainly with controls, not the puzzles. For example, a red box switch that would not respond. Eventually it worked, but after dozens of tries. I do understand that you have to be within reach.

Great..except for.... Great idea and game except I get the inventory items to go where they are to be used. I have time, know where and how to use, but can’t get them to go there. For instance, the key won’t go into the slot: The arrow says it goes there, it has been positioned all around it at various times, but it flies back up to inventory. Only one example, but that type of thing has happened repeatedly in this game. Too frustrating to keep it up. Would be nice to just go when the solution has been found. After several days, just deleted in the thing. Too bad.

Progress will NOT save. I love the gameplay but however IT WILL NOT SAVE MY PROGRESS! I have replayed puzzles over and over and saved it but then I try to play later and it puts me back and I’m forced to attempt the hard puzzles again. I finally give up after reattempting to save and then having to start over. I paid for this game yet I can’t play it! Very disappointed. I have massive storage on my phone It will show it saved in the slot but then later the slot will be empty again

A game to hold its value for forever. This is by far my favorite iOS game. The artwork shows very much how well this game was designed. Everything from the way to get help for a puzzle to how every single part of the area has a purpose to completing the main quest. I have played this game through til the end at least 5 times now and still absolutely love it. The artwork is astounding, the puzzles go from easy to extremely difficult and range from every kind of puzzle imaginable. I absolutely adore this game.

The absolute standard of all other puzzle games. Why are there no other games as good as this one! It’s the best. It has an amazing look and feel. You are completely drawn in to this world and it’s a joy to experience. The “puzzles” aren’t just random things to solve, they add purpose and logic to the story. It was so much fun to engage. Like a really good book. I’m just sad I’m through it again for the 3rd time.

I love this game. This game has sat on my phone since release and every few months I come back and complete it again. The art and sound offer such a nostalgic element for me that every time I revisit it I get that warm fuzzy feeling that only a few games can provide. I had a temporary problem where the save data would not be correct but the developer addressed that very quickly once I brought it up.

Absolutely stunning. The visuals are gorgeous and the storyline is very unique. I loved every aspect of the walkthrough and the mini games aswell. The revealer game is great for when u absolutely get stuck or dont know how to use a piece u have found. I really loved every aspect of the game, music included but the saddest part about it is concluding it :( i wouldnt say it is to short of a game but i would highly enjoy more play or a second edition as the story continues. All in all i would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a true puzzler game. My first play thru even with a few revealers used to proceed it took me 8hrs of straight play to accomplish the ending! Hav fun everyone :)

Forced Space Invaders Ruins It. The game is amazing up to the near-end when you are forced to play space invaders to move to the next step. I am not a fan of nor am I skilled enough at reflex games hence the entire reason I like puzzle games. Yes, I realize it’s a dumbed down version of space invaders but nonetheless I was not able to progress past this exceedingly annoying part that, imo, is only there to pad the time you play and it’s BORING. Ended up uninstalling as I could not get past this requirement. Way to completely ruin and otherwise incredible game. Would have been 5 stars if not for this idiotic part that does not at all fit the rest of the game. Very disappointing.

disappointing. i went into this game with high expectations after seeing so many rave reviews. i found it extremely difficult to figure out what is and isn’t clickable, making it unimaginably frustrating to use items (you have to be standing in exactly the right place and drag and drop to exactly the right place). the movement controls were extremely finicky and annoying; tapping in the same place twice wouldn’t result in my character moving in the same way both times. the puzzles weren’t very intuitive and some were way longer than others. i had to use a walkthrough multiple times just to figure out what to do with certain objects, only to realize i was meant to use them with something i didn’t think was clickable in the first place. for a puzzle game, quite a few of the “puzzles” to progress were games to beat rather than puzzles, which isn’t what i look for in these types of games. gave up 3 puzzles from the end because i didn’t download this to play an surprise shootout in the 11th hour. the hint system was also irritating for this reason; I’d rather watch an ad to see a hint than play frogger every time I’m stuck.

Breathtaking graphic work. The game has some bugs that are likely to result in the end of the game you are playing, although the smooth, detailed graphics in themselves make it an enjoyable game. If you are satisfied only with the reputation of completing it, you will probably not want to get this game until it has been tweaked on a number of the levels. If you play it for the enjoyment of the creativity of the graphics and the challenge of each complex part, then you are likely to love the ride. Just be warned of likely speed bumps until later versions are released.

I am blown away!. This game is amazing, addicting, and extremely fun! I love puzzle games, and I think this is the perfect fit for me! The art is also top notch, and abstract in a way. Some of the puzzles were hard, but I always love myself a challenge. If you like puzzle games, buy this, or you’re missing out! (I’ve completed the game twice now, and I am about to do it a third time!)

Best Mobile Game Review. Firstly, I’ve owned this mobile game for many years now, and I deeply recommend it. Here’s why. The visual art and animations are all hand drawn and portrays a beautiful world of robots living in a giant mechanical city. Clearly the artists were very passionate. The story is short, as is the game. But it’s a story fit for that world. The puzzles are the one of the most impressive parts of the game. Each and every puzzle is incredibly unique as well as increasingly difficult. The game will make your brain turn. You have to play the puzzles to see what I mean. Pair this with one of the most captivating soundtracks in that I’m wholly convinced of this games’ setting. It can’t be described except but having you experience it along side every other aspect of the game simultaneously. And that’s the beauty of this game. The game itself. It’s a masterpiece in my review. There’s an overflowing amount of art is this game in how every different piece of art (graphics, music, puzzles, story) meshes together perfectly to create a great game. I’ve played it many times and still have fun trying to figure out the puzzles. I would gladly pay more for this game to support the developers and artists. So for this price, there’s not even a question. Buy it. Experience it. Why not?

You should get this game. This game is worth getting. I’ve played through it about 3 times and it never fails to entertain me.

Gold. This was excellent on PC and is even better on the iPad, what a great port. It looks fantastic on the iPad and the tactile nature of the screen is a marriage made in heaven for this piece from Amanita. An enchanting game for all ages that harks back to an era when people coded games thoughtfully because the bytes were few so you had to do a lot with a little. Its rare to come across something like this these days, it's quirky, lateral and makes you smile every time. Buy it; it will uplift you.

Tricky for young kids. 5-7 year old me got stuck on the furnace puzzle but I’m reinstalling it so I hope I dont get stuck

Happy!. Tick on graphics Tick on creative puzzles Tick on music Tick on characters Would 100% play a part 2, worth the money if you like puzzles

Tedium. This game has beautiful graphics but is just so tedious it's not enjoyable. Half the time you can't figure out a task it's because you had the right idea but your click/tap didn't work, the other half of the time it's because the tasks are ridiculously illogical. Someone has a blocked didgeridoo.... Well obviously you require a mechanical cat to unblock it....so stupid. Some of these puzzles are so stupid the game has its own inbuilt walkthrough... but you can't just access it, oh no.... When you are frustrated with some idiotic puzzle, you will have to play some tedious, crappy little mini game to look at the walkthrough, only to find, half the time, it is no help at all.... There are mini-puzzles and games which are hard and enjoyable, but the main tasks for progressing the story are fairly ridiculous, get ready to just randomly click everything and apply every item in your inventory to everything on the screen..... So tedious.... At no point did I get much enjoyment from this... I never thought "oh wow, that was really clever" I just thought "That was so tedious and stupid...are these developers just trying to annoy people?" Great graphics, terrible game design

Buy for iPad2 without fear. Fabulous title and well worth the asking price. Support innovative, intelligent game studios like this! Engrossing gameplay and kept becoming back for more until I'd finished it. Just when you're wracking your brains to figure out how to solve the hardest puzzles it comes to you. Nothing so obscure or hidden as to make it ridiculously hard or obtuse either. Just lateral thinking required. Nice to have a moderately challenging game rather a dumbed down title for a change. No problems with crashes or bugs for me. Shall look for future games by these guys. Excellent.

Could be better. It could be better because when you need to restart a level you can't and you have to restart the whole entire game which is pretty annoying 😡

Beautiful. Love this game !

Not worth the price tag!. The graphics are amazing and I like the feel of the game. But it is way too complicated in some parts, not responsive most of the time so you miss many of the key items you need to solve the puzzle, there is barely any direction or help for when things get tough and the music is annoying as hell! Otherwise if you enjoy a really challenging quest and don't mind frustratingly fiddling around for ages you will like this game. It is definitely not for everyone and although it's interesting, if you are looking for an average adventure game to pass the time this definitely is not for you. Overall, in my opinion I feel the game is not worth the $5.49 and is unnecessarily complicated in some parts to be an enjoyable play.

Amazing. This is one of my favourite games. The puzzles are smart and flow well with the story. Would love to see a second chapter.

Really nice game, but the price has increased for no reason?. Why you do dis? I got this game much cheaper years ago. No work being done on it and you're after more cash for the same product? So confusing

This app doesn’t work on an iPhone. If you are planning to play this app on your iPhone for get it!!! Yet again today I’m into part two and the panel on the furnace has no adjustment and so I’m stuck; very disappointed

Tantalisingly Suburb. Haven't had this much enjoyment since Another World.

A tough but enjoyable point and click adventure. I've played point and click adventure games since the early 1980's and this one is one of the best I've ever played. The graphics are beautiful and the puzzles are hard but logical - my advice is stay observant to details in the locations, because clues and solutions are spread around. The sound design is atmospheric and the music is unobtrusive. The animations are simple but humorous. I'm actually sad to have finished it! I hope they create more games like this. I'd give it six stars if I could.

Buggy and can’t move on!. Got to level 4, furnace room, and when you press the red button the control box won’t show. You move the cursor over where it should be and the arrows appear, but it’s just guess work of the actual position. Nice app but expensive and annoying because it won’t work. Using iPad Pro.

Great game but bug?. So far it's a such pleasant and challenging gaming experience but I've encountered when I just escaped and went beneath the pistol machine's room, sometimes no matter what I click I just stuck beneath the room can't move nor interact with anything at all, had to reload my save to start it again don't know if anyone else has same issue.

Sequel please. I'm a big fan of the point and click games, strategy and puzzles .(i have and have fished all the secrets of monkey island) and found this game to be super engrossing some of the puzzles were pretty tough, some were very easy and some well I just think I was fluky lol. All in all this is a great app and highly recommend it for the fun factor and for giving your brain a work out ,the graphics are also amazing. now I'm just waiting for the sequel

Beautiful & creatively designed adventure / puzzle game. A beautiful and creatively designed game with the expected high quality from Amanita Design. A lot of thought has been put into this game with the beautiful graphics & soundtrack A mix of adventure and puzzles that draws you in and leaves you wanting more. I really hope they continue the Machinarium story one day. Regardless I look forward to playing more games from Amanita Design in the future. I originally played this game a few years back and have just replayed it (and thoroughly enjoyed it again) after completing their new game Samorost 3 which is also really nice. If you love Machinarium then I think you will probably enjoy Samorost 3 also.

Disappointed. Nothing I do will get me past the reactor room. I can’t press on the left panel. Tried 100 times. Thought this game looked good. I would like a refund

Great time passer. Was completely stuck at first until I figured out the hint system. After that I absolutely loved this game. Gorgeous little robot with a very cute way of telling you when your wrong. Perfect level of difficulty to keep you trying and leaving a satisfying feeling upon completion of each puzzle. Good length for the overall game, beautiful artwork. If you hate listening to really bad voice-overs than you will love that there is no dialogue at all in this game, I loved that. Very different and such a simple concept that had me actually looking forward to the bus ride to work each day. Thank you, good job.

Julia. I want more!!!! Really cute!

Refund me please. I finished the game and nothing to do make a number 2 of machinararium please but other than that great 👍🏻

Exceptional Game. Loved the retro arcade mini-games

Fabulous games. I love all the games from Amanita Design. This and somocrost3 are my favourites. Visually stunning graphics and lovely storyline look forward with anticipation to future games from Amanita Design to a all who created these lovely games👏👏👏

Fantastic work by Amanita Design.. Machinarium is a very enjoyable and charming game. The puzzles are tricky, mostly relying on simply looking to find the inventory objects and figure things out. And when you do look, you have to admire the gorgeous hand-drawn style of the graphics, which are accompanied by a great soundtrack. There are also several nostalgic nods to the arcade games of days past. Amanita Design has now released Botanicula for the iPad as well, which I didn't hesitate to download. Both games are costly as far as apps go, but both are worth the investment.

At times, extremely challenging yet always thoroughly enjoyable game.. This is the first game from these devs I've purchased some time ago. Getting an iPad recently I remembered this game. I've played again being so long I have forgotten the solutions so I'm able to enjoy it all over again. It's so good. This game really belongs in a collection of games you play bits of infrequently but it's so easy to binge-play in a few long sittings. It truly is a delight to play. It really is a more an interactive puzzle-like art piece then simply another game IMHO. I do also recommend the other games from these guys. All of them have a wonderfully unique atmosphere that conveys a sense of purposefulness to everything, despite the abstract nature of each game. They're each a delight to play, can last a good while if you take your time to appreciate the artwork of each scene and are absolutely worth the money as you can come back to them years later to enjoy. You can't do that with the same meal you bought recently!

Possibly the best iPad game available.. Graphics are amazing, although wish they were retina (for the new iPad) but I'm sure that will be coming in an update. Literally couldn't put down this game until I had finished. Very challenging and entertaining. Also has great sound design. Helps to tie it all in as one great package. Definitely will be recommending to friends!

Fantastic in every way! :). I love this game, unfortunately this was one of the first 'hidden object games' I'd tried and now nothing else stacks up. All the others are the same and boring. Machinarium has beautiful graphics and will keep you looking for that next item or the answer to the next puzzle, and wanting more at the end. Please hurry with a part two.

Beautiful and challenging. Looks beautiful & the robot is exceedingly cute! Particularly when he's grooving to the funky tunes. The game is surprisingly long too so it's great value. It sounds as though the glitches people are referring to may just be that they haven't worked out the solution yet as it is working beautifully on my iPad. I am a bit stumped by how to get the second light bulb for the star gadget in the red room with the vacuum and giant pot plant so any hints would be great. (Not blaming a glitch unless it's my own brain glitch 😊).

Frustrating for the wrong reasons. I was looking forward to this game. It looks great and I love puzzle games. But playing on iPhone was so frustrating. I got stuck at many points even once id worked out what to do (& confirmed it in the walkthrough) because I wasn't tapping or moving the objects in just the right way, I would have to repeat an action 20+ times just to get it so. Far to touchy. Also so much of the game isn't play but waiting and watching. It was slow and tedious. I felt my agency as a player was lost in this game. I got so frustrating playing that I'm writing this review instead of trying to finish it and ill probably delete it.

Challenging Complex Creative. Absolutely loved it. You’ll have to play it to find out! I’ve played all games by Amanita Design. Awaiting for more to come out!

Lovely. I have had this game for a while now, and all I have to say is that it's incredible. The gameplay is simple yet challenging, and it really allows the player to think. The quality of the picture is amazing! The artwork is too. Definitely a five star game.

BEST GAME ON IPAD. Wow!!! I never write these reviews but I always appreciate being pushed into the right direction and this is definately the right direction if you're into exploring other worlds, quirky characters and FUN. Its an amazing, magical, beautiful game. I've played it on my Macbook and on my 3rd round on the iPad. The puzzles are tough but if you ever get too stuck theres always the cheat but it comes at a price :-P...awesome, ingenious. The makers of this game deserve to get rich and make alot more of these..*****

spectacular. I haven't found a better game than this, what an incredible job, I love it.

Great for puzzle lovers. This is a wonderful game, I have been playing since I was 6 on an old computer. I didn’t really understand it so I just watched my sister and dad do it. Music is great though. I’m sure if you know games like sudoku and crosswords you will understand. Now I am older and still play this with joy. (you feel like a god when you finally figure something out.) So many different types of puzzles. It is great to play when you are in a break and I love that you can save spots. Overall I would totally recommend this to everyone and especially puzzle lovers or just like playing puzzle and adventure games. Artwork and music is extremely enjoyable. Thank you for reading

Its a 1st class game. This is a truly wonderful game - it draws you in with unique graphics and music, but also because you can't help but empathise with the main character. I have played this up to a point on my PC but that was a borrowed copy, Now I have bought the full game I will complete it. To that reviewer who claims the puzzles are too hard, your kidding right? My 10yo has got further into the game than me with no trouble. Does that reviewer know there is fun mini-game help system to ease those of thick head to get through? This is a puzzle game right so it has puzzles in it, get on with it. Some people just like to whinge I reckon. To those reading my little review, you don't know me but I can tell all of you that I have played literally hundreds of games over many years but I could only ever give a 5 star rating to 4 or maybe 5 of them. Not many but this is one of those games. Fair dinkum this game costs less than 2 pub drinks. Buy it!

Absolutely worth getting this game. Have iPad 2 and no problems with game, except no sound for a while. Found hint that button next to volume control needed to be switched so orange mark not showing. All great from then. Definitely challenging and frustrating, especially the spider help, finding the online walk throughs took that frustration away. Walk throughs are very clever, the challenge of these as much as the game made helping the cute robot find the girl and escape even more enticing. I would highly recommend this game on iPad 2. When finished I tried finding more like it. The developers of this game are congratulated on such a beautiful and clever game, nothing else like it in app world. Look forward to more from these developers.

Challenging and awesome game. Firstly if you listen to the reviews on here from those idiots that are just too stupid to analyse a problem and try different solutions then this game is not for you! It's an interesting and technical game that will continuously challenge your brain. This would have to be hands down the best game I have played of this type. Well worth it! Great game!

one. problem.. There’s no way to turn off the sound!!!!!!

LOVE this game. Downloading it again to play a second time as I haven’t found anything else yet that can compete with it (other then Samarost 3, which is one of their other games which will be next. Again).

Lovely game. I love the style, graphics, animation and gameplay. Easy, intuitive controls and gaming, but the problems and puzzles are sufficiently challenging. Hints are available for when you're desperate to solve some of the trickier puzzles. Just tap everything that looks interesting, play around, use your brain and enjoy the results of the creators' imaginations.

A masterpiece. I don't understand why ipad1 owners download the game when it clearly says ipad2 ... and then whinge about it and give it a bad rating. This is a stunning game. Even though the characters are robots, they were given very delicate and individual personalities and I ended up having great empathy for them. Oddly, the game worked flawlessly on my device, even before the update. Not one single crash or glitch. The puzzles are very difficult until you get the feel for the game, then they become alot easier. I used the built in help feature (which is excellent) for the first two tasks, but didn't need it after that. I love this type of game, but this one is truly unique and quite beautiful. Well worth the price in my opinion.

Hard, but just awesome!. This game is a stunning piece. Gorgeous artwork, adorable characters, a lovely story and puzzles so seamlessly woven into the game that they don't feel like work. They are hard though! You really need an abstract mind and persistence for this one. But don't worry, there is a cute cheat system available when it becomes just too much. I wish this game had been longer, I could have played it for weeks more. I'm in love with it. I hope there will be a sequel!

Most engaging and challenging app available. We love everything about this app. We became attached to the little robot hero, he was so cute. The games and puzzles were challenging and and took some thought unlike a lot of other brain numbing apps on the market. My 6 year old son and I spent hours enjoying and working through this. It is by far the best on the market. Well done developers you are awesome!

Enjoyable, but a play-once style game, and some annoying puzzles!. It is excellent, good attention to detail and mostly compelling. The nature of the game though is once you've been through all the levels, that's it, you're done, so there really isn't any continuing play after you finish (other excellent games like the original Portal are the same .. just something to be aware of). I found the only annoyance was the often overuse of mindless puzzles as keys to unlock further progress. There is one thing where you have to find 33 robots and shoot them in a fragmented map .. I mean, apart from mentally piecing together where you've already been, there is not a lot of point to this. Some of the other actual objects you need to find also could be more obtainable via logical deduction rather than for the sake of making something obscure or difficult to find. Four stars though because what it there has great attention to detail and does compel you to finish the game.

SERIOUS GLITCH. Bought and Downloaded for full price on my fully functioning iPad 2, waited quite a while for it to install clicked on it, and up came this black screen! The developer logo flashed up briefly, before the black screen returned. Then a full screen picture comes up, the same as the first photo shown above, but without the writing. this image stays frozen on the screen for an oddly long amount of time. at this point, it does nothing, I have tried clicking it dragging zooming, but it stays frozen. After a while, the black screen of death flashes up again briefly, before the program freaks out and shuts itself down, returning to my home screen. it does not appear in settings. On returning to app page in store, it says if game doesn't work directly after installation, reset your iPad, it's not our fault! Well, ive personally spent ages refining my settings for each app and most certainly do not want to reset! frankly, I feel very ripped off as this app is one of the most expensive I've bought. I have no problem if I buy an expensive app and it turns out to be awful, but if IT NEVER WORKS then I feel that is unacceptable. Very very very disappointed.

machinarium. one of if not the best game i have ever played, it was interesting and there was a lot of problem solving involved. it was more of an experience then a game, great game!

Charming and fun. Great game and I would highly recommend it - but the touch controls are a bit clunky

Loved it!. I thoroughly enjoyed myself with this game. It was challenging which made it interesting. The HD graphics are cute and add to the experience. Logic prevailed often when figuring out what to do and the storyline was relevant. The hints were well presented as a mini game. The mini games throughout we're fun and a little bit old school which I enjoyed! You won't be disappointed with this game. I highly recommend it to people who like something that gets the grey matter going as apposed to just killing stuff for the heck of it!

Too confusing. Being new to this type of game I found myself completely confused! Where are the rules or instructions? Even just getting into the little book at the bottom wasn't explained properly. The only way I am getting through this is by using cheats and the only reason I'm persevering is because of the $6-00. Don't get this game if you're unfamiliar with this type of gaming format ... Too confusing! I haven't even worked out how to turn the music off so I can play it while listening to my own music. Not impressed.

Beautiful, creative, challenging and unique. Beautiful game created by a group of game artists unlike any other. Truly enjoyed the art, characters and puzzles. Caught myself getting wrapped up in this unique little world and was sad once the game ended. Can't wait for the next!

Awesome!. Great game, but finished in a short time. Would be nice if more was added.

Awesome, but.... It's great to play a point and click style game again, but where's e update to retina display? A game with art like this is SCREAMING for it!

Support iPad 1 for crying out loud!!!. I unfortunately purchased this game before it was affectively communicated to masses that this game would not work on original iPad. If Epic can get 'Infinity Blade' to work on iPad, there's no reason why Amanita can spend time getting Machinarium to work. It's a really slap to the face to a fan like myself who has purchased 3 copies of this game on different platforms in a show of support. Still a year later and no update. That's fine, I know where I stand with this company and I will happily spend my money else where.

Worst game ever. I've completed many games like this (the room series, house of did Vinci, cube series, forever lost, etc). For the price I was expecting something of similar value..don't waste your money. It's difficult to navigate, tedious and frustrating. The controls are touchy and it ruins the game. I deleted it well before the end. I like the graphics and sounds so it gets one star for that. Total waste of money.

Grrrr. I just bought this on my iPad for 4.99$ ... Once it finishes downloading it tells me that it only works for iPad 2 or higher. Waste of $5. :(

A1 point and click adventure. Love love love this game, totally worth the money. If you like a good point and click game you will definitely love Machinarium. I like it so much I would pay more money for a second one! Please developers make another Machinarium!!

Super frustrating control. The game is not complicated to figure out but to get the robot to do the thing it is supposed to do is frustratingly difficult. The unresponsive game play makes the experience very unenjoyable

Machinarium. I have played this game on multiple platforms and remain amazed every time I play it. This is the best game I have played in years. I hop that Josef has more adventures soon.

Doesn't run on an iPad 1!!!!. Well this is odd. I used to play this game on my old computer and it ran fine. It will not run in the first generation iPad, which I did not notice until I tried running it. Why not???? There are many games that require much more horsepower that run fine on the iPad 1. Truly disappointing. Fix this ASAP please…….

LOL. Worth the money! Love this game

Amazing. Such a great game

Wonderful game wrapped in unoptimized code. I first played through Machinarium on my MacBook Pro a while ago, and with regards to the wonderful art direction, puzzle design, and soundtrack nothing has changed. It is, and will always be, an enthralling piece of gaming. However, the fact that this only runs on an iPad 2 is pretty terrible. I understand that this is a small developer, and that a full code rewrite (as opposed to a straight port) isn't always economically viable, but this is a hand drawn point and click adventure game. There is a lot of high resolution art, sure, but there aren't that many sprites in play at any given time and there's still loading time between every environment. I would have absolutely no problem giving this game a 5/5 if it had no loading screens and OG iPad support. To summarize, the developers of Machinarium have created a really unique, engaging game that is limited by some light performance issues.

Great game!. Worth every penny. It is challenging, fun, and really quite charmingly designed

bad. connect 5 puzzle is frustrating and that ruined the game. deleted

Needs to work for all iPads. I know it's a small team that is working on it's port to iPad, but really I'm very disappointed with the fact that because I own the first iPad I cannot play a great game like Machinarium. I know I can play on the pc and Mac....I own it for those platforms also...but I wanted to replay on the go....and at the time of my purchase it was not clear that it was ipad2 only and I actually managed to watch the intro screen at one point before I learned today it no longer works. This game is really amazing, one of the best games to utilize a device such as the iPad, which is why it should eventually be available for most apple devices....they do have quite a few sales from the game so the work could be done. It's just very sad and disappointing that such a cool company like Amanita Design has fragmented their growing fan base and pretty much have turned their backs on many of their followers...all cause I and many others didn't fork over another couple hundred to upgrade my iPad a month after purchase.

Great Game. For all of you whining that it won't work on iPad 1 it clearly states in the description and screenshot it is iPad 2 only. But if you do have a iPad 2 basically it's and point and click game which I usually don't like but this one is different if you do have 5 bucks to spare get it you won't regret it.

No idea what to do…deleted. Does not explain anything about what you’re supposed to do. Got frustrated and deleted it.

Ipad 2 Only???. I am so disappointed I bought this and it only works on an Ipad 2? It should say that on the side where it lists what it is compatible with! Is this a trick?

Amazing game. Machinarium’s story, sound, and graphic design is absolutely phenomenal. This is the 1st game that I enjoyed in my life and Amanita Design is one of the greatest studios. The game is exceptionally good, especially with 7 people creating it. Fun without any dialogue! I do want the walkthrough puzzle to be easier though.

Amazing!. Loved every single moment of this beautifully designed, challenging game. Worth every single penny. One of the best games I've seen in a very long time. Thank you!

Really great game. Really worth the price. 2D old style game like this one beat far away newest 3D games that are much often boring and without content. Five stars !!!

One Word: Masterpiece. From the art designing to all kinds of creative puzzles, they are simply stunning

Awesome. This game is THE best game I’ve played. I have bought every app from this developer hoping that it’ll be close to Machinarium but no such luck. This game is well worth it’s money.

Beautiful and amazing!. I loved every single moment of playing this game, the art style is wonderful and no matter how many times i replay this game it never gets old!

😡. I love this game but for the 4th part the robot is to slow I can’t reach the convare belt in time it makes me so angry 😡 please fix it

Love it. I love this game. Can't get past the xo game. Been trying for over a year. Sadly deleting it from my iPad I guess.

Superb!. Imaginative and very funny! Superb story line. Great puzzles!

Perfect. Best game ever,10/10

Worthy of your cash. Very good game!

Poor game controls.... Fantastic game, but terrible tactile controls on iOS/iPadOS. Many scenes of the game are not playable because of controls do not work properly! Many scenes must played several times because of that issue. Very desappointed and very frustrating. I am stuck in the middle of the game and I can no longer move forward!

In love. I’ve played and bought all their games, Samorost 1,2,3 and Bontanicula and Machinarium and completely obsessed. I play them now over again when I’m anxious or want a calming activity as they’re so chill and soothing and take me to a different world. Love them sooo much. Good job Animata, I love you!!

Poor interface. No help, no instructions, no clues! Gotta go to website forum to figure out whats going on. Simply...this is the game... 1) You get a scene (with your robot) with great graphic detail. So much detail, you have no idea what your supposed to do. 2) The hint button gives you the desired final solution, but does not mention the 10-20 steps involved to solve the puzzle. 3) As you still have no idea what to do, you have to use the help button. 4) In help, get thru the 2D maze by avoiding or killing spiders....you are then shown the 10-20 steps involved to solve the puzzle. 5) Go back in game and complete all the steps. 6) Puzzle completed, move on to the next scene. 7) Go to step 1, and repeat. Your not playing...your just following instructions.

Among the best games out there. If you like puzzles you will be thrilled with this game. Most of the puzzles are really really good. Our kids are addicted to the game just like their dad before them. Of course the kids need lots of help but the game engages them extremely well. It is realistic so the kids learn a lot about how things work too. Everybody loves the little robot trying to save his girlfriend.

Clumsy, irritating interface. Maybe this game is meant for iPad and not iPhone. On the iphone the graphics are so tiny it's impossible to distinguish which objects on the screen are actually interactive. The interface is annoying. Often I tap on objects and they don't react. But after repeated tapping they finally respond. Annoying and frustrating game.

Awesome game. One of the finest adventures out there. I would add that this game is probably best played on the iPad.

The most delightful, challenging game!. This is the honestly the most clever, delightful puzzle game I’ve ever played. I’m a 48 yo female, love games like The Room... this had the challenge of that, but with such a sense of whimsy! Loved the artwork, loved the story, really can’t recommend it highly enough!! Thank you to the team who made this!🤖❤️

Beautiful game, crap controls on IPhone. Some puzzles are close to impossible to do with the iPhone controls.

Doesn't work on original iPad. Nowhere on the screen does it say this will not work on the original iPad. Unless you click more... In fact, it says compatible with iPad right there on the screen. This is why Apple has chosen not to number the iPad 3.

Really Creative.... ...But, the iPad Touch GUI is not working properly. Arrows should be appearing for game directions and that isn’t happening, mouse cursor settings are no better. I’m using the new 12.7 iPad Pro with the newest iOS. It worked far better on my old iPad2 with an outdated iOS. Maybe time to put some more work in, Developer.

😱one of the best graphic games I ever played😱. I totally recommend although I wish it was a little bit longer story line

Machinarium - doesn't work on iPad. I don't recommend this for iPad. I just bought this game on my iPad 4 iOS 10.3.3 (it says it is iOS compatible). every step of the way I've encountered glitches, even following the walk through to the letter, the fine tasks (picking up items, making things work as the walk through says they should) don't work. This is extremely frustrating. Unfortunately, I discovered after my purchase that there a lots of forums online all with the same problems. So,DL onto your desktop or laptop if you must, but don't waste your $$ If you're going to try it on iOS. The programmers need to go back to the drawing board.

How??. I am stuck at the very beginning where the robot wants his arms and legs and he finds the mouse and they're telling me about the menu and stuff.. So what's the point of the game and what do I do?? Someone help me please!!

Yeah!. Great game - very different. Waaaay too short! Need more.

Simply Nostalgic!. memories were made with my dad helping me out on some of the levels ☺️

Rich world, tricky puzzles. Great visual puzzle game. Beautiful graphics, smart interface. Highly recommended.

Amazing. This is a great game, I downloaded it in 2012 and and recently redownloaded it in 2020 to bring back memories. Great game definitely worth it 5/5

Frustrating. I’ve played all the Room games and Gorogoa without difficulty. Can’t understand this game. Puzzles are unintuitive. Controls on my iPad Pro are poor. Something has to be held on exactly the right spot but repeated attempts to do so didn’t work until the third or fourth attempt. Admittedly others have rated this game highly and the artwork is beautiful. Maybe it’s just me.

Super fun. I had this game on 3 of my devices. It is super fun, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves puzzles or mystery games!!!

Fameux!. Plusieurs fois j’ai cru devoir abandonner, mais j’ai persisté et je me suis rendu au bout! Ce jeu est excellent.

beautiful graphics, difficult play. i got this adventure game for the graphics, haven’t experienced any bugs, but i find the game play very challenging. In order to get hints you must play a simple arcade game (i’m terrible at these). In spite of the difficulty level, its my favorite game.

Fun game. I really enjoyed the puzzles and environments. Fantastic art and fun music. Finally finished it tonight after not playing for a bit and I was really getting into it when I solved the last puzzle. When’s the next one coming out?

Love it like the rest. Great graphics, fun to play, no bugs on my IPhone 7, puzzles a challenge at times, but if you get stuck you just open the book & step by step instructions are inside! Thx devs great game!

Absolutely beautiful. Played with my daughter and we both loved it. It’s clearly made with a lot of love. Great story, art, humor and puzzles. The controls can be a bit clumsy at times.

Best game on App Store in my opinion. This is my most favorite game in the App Store! I’ve played it over and over. I have it on my iPhone and iPad and it runs great, no glitches or bugs. It’s a beautiful game with a good story line. I can’t wait to see what other games you all come out with

Simply Amazing Game!!. I have had this game for years but it wasn’t till my 11 year old said lets do it together that we started it. I wish they would make more games like this!!!

Incredible graphics and cool storyline. I love everything about the game until I got the arcade. First, it’s way too difficult to powers up the machines on iPad. Next, the shooter game is difficult, and I wasn’t born in the 80’s so it’s hard for me.

Can't wait for more!. A thoroughly engaging Tim Burton-esque aesthetic frames truly challenging and subtle puzzle/treasure hunt in stages that neatly interconnect, with lots of wonderful homages to classic games. Good pace, reasonable hints that don't spoil the challenge. Dying for a 2.0 version!

The crap puzzle game. Which pretentious fool gave this any award. This is crap and there is only one of the impossible things to do on this app. Crap games inside this puzzle game. I'm talking the five in a row. That is impossible to beat. This is a real pain and no workaround for it. Whose idea was it to have that as part of the game. Well you stole $.99 from me plus tax. Wish apple gave refunds. Good game with great artwork but that's not why I got this app.

iOS level 4 bug. In the furnace room the claw thing grabs you you can’t get to the shelf to put the key in, but don’t get me wrong real good game.

Awesome with minor issues. Best game I’ve played in a while. Unfortunately there were too many gotchas. The bird on the wire was way too frustrating to figure out, probably due in part to the kloogy way it had to be done with a touchscreen. There were one or two other clues that were just too obscure. But the hint feature is super cool, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker. That stupid bird is my only real complaint. Oh, and the organ outside the dome at the end was bugged. I had a bad time with that until I realized it was actually a defect and restarted the game, after which it worked.

Game breaking glitch. I really like the game—the music, aesthetic, characters and gameplay were all very charming. At one point, a glitch in the game caused a crucial item to not be given to me and I wandered around for a good chunk of time clueless as what I was supposed to do. I consulted a guide and a robot woman was supposed to throw a radio out of a window that I need in order to continue. Said radio is still sitting in her window, however. What a waste of time. :|

Amazing Game!. I've played this game and Botanicula for about four years (I've completed them multiple times). This game is astonishing. It is an amazing puzzle game with amazing mechanics, music, animations, graphics, and a great story. I highly recommend it!

Difficult at best...lousy controls..... I was able to get to the docks, where you try to get the dog with the suction gun. But there was NO WAY to use the gun. The character refused to use it when I tried to place in its hand. How are you supposed to use it when the game won’t allow it? I’ve tried researching an answer to this, but all I’ve found is “place the gun in the robot’s hand”. That’s fine, if you can figure out HOW TO DO IT. This now becomes a complete waste of money, as it’s been deleted.

Poor game controls. The art is awesome, the game controls are not so great with touch. Game is immensely frustrating due to buggy game controls utilizing the tough screen. I suspect with a game controller things would be different. Restarting, reinstalling, nothing changed. I am sure they will fix it, but for now a waist of money.

Favorite Game. This is literally one of the best games that I've played on my iPhone. The art style is phenomenal and the storyline is cute. My only critique is that if you miss click on the screen the character moves to that spot before you can move him back.

Beautiful and challenging. I loved this game. The design is just breathtaking. It’s as if you are inside the game experiencing everything that your cute little robot friend is! Together you’ll journey into a world of puzzles in an effort to save the girl you love. A love story, puzzling missions, and brilliant story line. This game will offer hours of thrilling game play!

Unbelievably beautiful. It’s one of the oldest games I purchased but never played. Today I finished it after many years, and after all the years of being a gamer, this game gave me chills. Such a little beautiful details and story line and I really really loved it. Thank you deves!❤️

I really love this game!. I heard about this game from the documentary about the making of Broken Age (another great point-and-click puzzle-solving game). It's really awesome to think about how these guys were probably influenced by Tim Schafer, and then later on influenced Tim Schafer.

Loved it!. This game was hard but I loved almost everything about it. The music and the graphics. Love the story.

Please fix your app. I played this game about 2 years ago and enjoyed it, no problems. Now when I try to save the game into empty slots, I’ll start up the game later only to have to start this one particular level OVER and OVER again. I save correctly into one or two slots (two just to make sure), quit the game normally (not just swiping away) and resume the last game (even loading from a previous slot). Nothing works. I feel sorry for anyone who actually wants to play this game but not all in one sitting.

Half and half. The game itself Is great looking and story Is ok in its own way, I couldn’t find any type of flow to how to solve the levels and 98% of the time your hitting the clue button to try and figure out what your supposed to do and that gets you to a point of no satisfaction of competition, and the constant robot shaking his head at every move you try gets so bad you end up just walking away frustrated

Frustrating on ipad. I like this company’s concepts. BUT, this game is frustrating and not enjoyable because the character will not do what I’m telling it to do. I have used both curser mode and touch mode. The game is not responsive many times and I end up having to repeat steps more times than I should. Takes the fun out of it.

Machinarium. I don't normally take the time to review a game but this one was so much fun. The graphics are great and I liked the bit of humor sewn in. Glad I bought a whole game pack. Looking forward to trying the next one.

Cosmic Ozmo 9.0. I don’t know if you remember the game Cosmic Ozmo on the original Macintosh Plus computer from the 1980s, but this game is very much in the tradition of that game. It’s very nicely designed and reminds me of a Jan Svankmajer film come to life! Well done!

Excellent. Great game. Hard but not impossibly so. Got stuck a few times but after taking a break and coming back with fresh eyes, able to figure things out. Hope the robot on the ledge by the stairs is ok.

Curser problem. On ipad the cursor isn’t showing or displaying the white arrows in the furnace room so the robot can get its head released from the claw and land on the shelf. Is there a fix for this cursor issue? It’s impossible to play the game if the cursor isn’t working and allowing you to direct the robot. Please fix this.

Beautiful, Unique, and Whimsically Offbeat. There’s a reason this game has been in the charts since it’s release. Easy recommendation for any fan of point and click games.

Loved it but the controls were glitchy. I played this awhile back and I don’t remember having as hard of a time controlling the characters movement as much as I do now. Ended up stuck trying to get the bird by the arcade to break the wire but it wasn’t working and I feel like it’s because the controls aren’t responding the way they should. Would have loved to have played this through again but just can’t make it work.

Difficult, Frustrating & Fun Game!. You need a lot of patience, common sense & a lot of intelligence to play this game. This is not your typical one day to finish game; it will take you a very long time to complete all levels. Perfect game while waiting in the airport. Just don’t get frustrated! This game will make you think, think & think! 😄

Love it.. It’s short, but the music and visual environments are beautiful and the puzzles are a fun mixture of point-and-click gameplay and interactive brain teasers. I recommend it for a relaxing experience.

Great game. I buy very few apps and games but I got this one because I had heard good things about it and I was not disappointed, fun to play the puzzles are hard enough to be fun but not so hard as to be overly frustrating. Awesome visuals and great music.

Intriguing. Loved this adventure. Beautiful graphics and lots of fun and puzzling scenarios. Great sound design too, made me laugh at times. Admit I had to resort to the hints and walkthroughs on occasion - there are only so many hours in the day! Some of the little games were frustrating - I was never good at Space Invaders! Overall, very good value.

Awesome game. I got this game back when Starbucks handed out cards where you could get games on Apple early. This game was challenging and super fun to play. The art in it was awesome and the game forces you to think outside the box to solve puzzles.

Game so so amazing but too short!!!!!. Please make this game longer, this game is very dear to me since I've played this many many times in my childhood. I really really would like for u guys to work on this game a bit more to make it longer.

Decent game, awful controls.. The puzzles and story make this a solid point-and-click adventure. Unfortunately, the controls are a pain to use on an iPhone. I got through the entire game, but it was frustrating trying to click things and missing. Also, when I was more than halfway through, the game's language spontaneously switched from English to Russian and I was unable to switch back, except by deleting the app and reinstalling.

Great Game. If you find yourself playing this game in a different language, from the opening page "Machinarium", drop down to the mid-bottom and click on it till you get the one you want😂

Wonderful game. I have played this game three times already and I still haven’t gotten bored although the “Match 5 game” and the first arcade game were challenging and took me multiple days to beat, this game is very fun and it is definitely worth the money P.S. I bought the pack

Super hard!!. I’ve played this game on the computer already and because of means of nostalgia I bought it in here, everything was fine until i bumped into the tic tac toe game, so far it’s nothing and nobody has show any signs of being able to win it, and the difficulty level doesn't even meet with the old game!! It was so much easier then, I’ve been trying to solve this for more than two hours I just want to get on with the game!!! This is still one of my favorite games, don’t screw that up with me

Great game. I loved the game. I loved that it was not easy, it made me think. Each puzzle is unique and I caught myself going in, thinking “this chapter will be easy” and it wasn’t. I loved it. I also loved playing space invaders (I must say I lost a few times). The graphics, the music, the sound effects... Great story too. Beautiful!

Bug. There is a bug in stage 4 and I got stuck here right now... after clicking the red button on the machine, I should be able to open the control panel on the right side, but when I do that I can’t see the control panel coming out. Hope this can be fixed...same problem on iPadpro and iPhone8.

Best artistic puzzle game out there. This game is short but makes up with story and beautiful artwork if you are looking for a fun, interesting, puzzle game this is the perfect one for you

Amazing game!. Every single game from this animation studio is a masterpiece. I just wish there were more games like this, and available on a variety of systems. They are mostly limited to PC. Wonderful game.

Worth the $5. This is a fun game with very cute and clever animation. Some of it requires more poking around and less logic than I might like, but all in all it was really fun and entertaining. And lasts much longer than the $5 movie you could rent!

Beautiful. This is one of the best indie games I've played. The graphics are created beautifully and with lots of detail. A puzzle solving game with a story behind it is definitely worth your time.

Highly recommend. This game was very entertaining. Has a good amount of miniature games and puzzles. If you like problem solving with a hint of adventure, I highly recommend this game.

Good with flaws. I love the art, I like the puzzles. Only the puzzles are super difficult. Maybe I'm just bad at puzzles but playing on my phone it's really hard to know what to click or when to click. You will get prompts at important times. But most items blend in and/or have some type of unknown time limit. I'm not expecting this to change but it's good to know.

Cute but not fun. The little robot is cute and his world is kind of interesting, but I didn't find the gameplay to be much fun at all. It's impossible to figure out what you need to do on some levels because some of the actions are just impossible to guess, so you have to go look at the clue book. At that point you're just following directions instead of solving puzzles on your own, and that just not much fun.

Very Fun and Challenging Puzzles. Interesting story and clever puzzles, although sometimes very challenging (more so than any of The Room games). If you get stumped, you can request a hint or play a retro game for a walkthrough.
