Where’s the audio?. I paid for this because it’s said audio, that was the whole point for when I’m in my car...there is no audio! very deceiving. Don’t advertise that you have audio when you don’t!

False Advertising. For Catholics, this is an extremely deceitful thing to do. Bought the app thinking it would come with audio. Find out after purchasing that they require a $1 per week to get that feature. What did I pay $2 for? SMH.

Bible. This is a user friendly site (app) and we just love it... HIGHLY recommend it...

Is great. I have an iPhone X. I’m running iOS 11.1.2. The Bible app starts up and shows the purple and blank white, just a second before it crashes and dumps back to the main iOS icons. If that happens just delete the app and reinstall it. Works then.

Great resource.. I use almost daily for scheduled readings and searching for my favorite readings

Try other Bible apps. I purchased a NABRE Bible for offline use a few years ago. I wish I hadn’t. This app charges a high amount for features that are free in other Bible apps such as split screen reading. Some features are altogether missing like comparing versions. I’m offended by the ‘What’s New’ postings that constantly ask for a subscription. I do like the clean look and user interface.

Great app!. Very easy to use and I love the footnotes feature.

Fast and easy on the eyes. The choice of layout and method of jumping to book, chapter and verse are much more intuitive and easier than other apps. The notes (depending on your version) are equally easy to get to and the font and size are the easiest on the eyes. By far my favorite Bible app. I don't use the others I've bought any more. This one is just much more pleasant IMO. Peace!

App Crashes. Fix the version 3.5 ASAP! The app takes on average 17-20 seconds to open any given book of the Bible, then another 10-15 seconds to select a chapter, and then the same for verse! Unacceptable. And, when you tap the "Contact Us" bar, the app shuts off. Ugh. With each version update, all of my highlights shift left or right from what was previously highlighted. Very frustrating that this occurs with EACH version update. I do enjoy this Catholic Bible, but with each version update, something else always goes wrong. 2 out of 5 stars.

No Audio. I just paid $1.99 for this app because it said in the description (and on the print screen image) it has NABRE audio. Went into the app and it says audio is not available!!! That’s not fair. I only bought it for the audio. How can I get a refund?

App no longer works on iPhone. This app which I once loved no longer works on my iPhone. It now says internet access is required to use the app all the time when I do indeed have internet access. I have lost access to all versions of bibles I previously purchased. Not good.

Attractive format and user friendly. I've tried a couple of Bible apps and this, by far, is my favorite -- and the ONLY one I use. The format is attractive, 'clean' and straightforward-- easy to use, bookmark and move from one section to another. I like the historical information and references notes at the beginning of each book and 'tap' footnotes in each book. They provide texture and better understanding for me. I don't use a lot of 'bells and whistles', so can't address features that may be important to other readers. I have this on my iPad and iPhone and would not want to be without it.

Excellent App. Great app in order to get to the daily readings in a convenient manner, especially if mass is full and you don't have access to a bible on hand.

Although it says with audio, there is not.. I use this bible and was happy to see the advertised details indicated it comes with audio but it is not so, a bit disappointed.

Abandoned app. This was the best Catholic Bible on the market but it appears that the company behind it is no longer around and this app is abandoned. It doesn’t work properly under iOS 16 with network connectivity

Cannot register app. I’m trying to register the app online in order to have an account. All it ever does is tell me I have no internet connection and I can’t register.

Amazing. All the features are great, especially the daily readings and audio mode.

No longer supported?. Bought this several years Amanda loved it. Upgraded My phone and now it won’t work. All I get is an error message that I’m not connected to internet but I am connected. Links for help go to dead websites.

Great.... Over all it is a great Bible. The only improvement would be to “The Bible In A Year”. Other versions contain each day a short reading in the Old Testament, the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs until the Bible is completed. That is so much easier for me to keep focused.

Best Bible App. I've tried a number of Bible apps, but this is the best I've found. I especially like the daily readings that come with it and the ability to copy and paste text. I believe the app could be better and easier to use, and so that is why I only gave it four stars. One issue is that I cannot figure out how to stop it for displaying in two separate panels. It is not intuitive. Also, frequently the verse of the day is not displayed, even though it is part of my selection. The app doesn’t automatically open to my daily Bible reading. Hope this feedback helps the designers to improve it.

Exceeds expectations. I was skeptical about the value of a Bible app, but I have been very pleased with this one. I have the full NABRE available offline, footnotes and all. I can highlight and underline text in various colors, and create my own cross-references in the notes feature. This was ideal for completing assigned Scripture readings while traveling on a bus -- no need to pack a heavy Bible! My only complaint is that saving notes can be a little clunky; it would be nice if notes automatically saved when I closed them. I would also like to be able to create cross references to a particular chapter, without having to choose a specific verse. (I often can't quickly create a good cross reference because I vaguely remember the chapter I want to refer to, but not the verse.) These are small things though. Thanks for a great, valuable app at a very affordable price!

Great app. It is much easier to use in our Bible Study. It’s easy to find the page and see the print. Tapping on the reference makes it easy to find the footnotes.

Highlighter. I like the app, but the highlighter doesn't work on the daily readings. Otherwise, ok.

Very Thorough. I’ve been using this app since 2013 and have taken countless notes, highlights, bookmarks, and tags. Tags are like keywords. The only problem is, with the last update, you can’t search using those tags anymore. That’s a major hit to it’s usefulness and I hope they fix this. Otherwise, the app is good and pleasing to the eye.

Great e-catholic bible!!. I've always wanted to have an e-bible that I can access within my fingertips. It's great that it's available on an iPhone app. The font is great, easy to navigate, and I would give it a five star if the bookmark and writing note feature avail in a list so I could go back to it easily. Other than that, well done, been waiting and searching for this kind of app!!!

Complete hard copy replacement - used everyday. Hi, am doing a retreat in daily life for 30 weeks. Need to withdraw to all sorts of different places to pray. This app of a Catholic bible is fantastic! No issues. I just put my device in 'airplane' mode and 'don't disturb' and I have a bible with no possible notification distractions. Really happy with this app. Well done developers!

Support website unreachable. The NABRE catholic bible, with footnotes for study, is fantastic. The ability to set scrolling speed for reading is a nice feature but the small text overlay with footnote information is the “star” feature so you can read the footnote without losing your place in the scripture. I have (had) an account for syncing notes, highlights and bookmarks but the just1word website is no longer reachable which is a shame. Resetting password and creating a new account is no longer possible. I hope this is temporary.

Great bible app!. Just awesome!

Very convenient. Having the Bible in electronic form is so convenient. I especially like having it along for Bilbe Study. The search functions built in to this app make it easy to use. Any reference is just a few clicks away. I also appreciate the fact that this electronic version exactly matches my hard-cover book. The only thing this app is missing is a cover page.

Love it!. My favorite feature is the ability to highlight & underline in various colors. There is a menu section where you view all highlghts, or specific highlights. E.g. I highlight favorite in purple & can later go browse through my favorites. Or I highlight versus I have questions about in red, and can go see list of those verses when I have time to do more in-depth research.

NABRE wonderful, but .... On an iPhone4, the availability of the NABRE version is awesome, the price reasonable, but the app (viewing-wise) disappointing. Presently the app appears, while displaying text, capable of making use of but 60% the width of the iPhone screen in portrait mode, the result of which one can read generally 4-5 words per line, before having to jump onto the next line. There's lots of wasted white margin space along the left and right. It's just inefficient and makes reading very difficult.

Good Work!. The left menu is a big net improvement. Can I still make and access highlights? I found out how to highlight text, but how do I search for text that is now highlighted? The new way of doing the daily readings and reading plans is a big improvement. Catholic Bible on my iPad with dynamic type set huge is legible even for me! Where did the feature go to look for a specific chapter of a specific book, by some phrase suggesting it?

Just Perfect. This is just perfect just what I was looking for as a catholic to defend our Holy Church. It's easy to read books by Scott hon and all of the great teachers and then add notes quickly to this bible for later use and evangelization:) keep it up best and the easiest to use. I seriously will never use any other bible again. God bless and and may our lady spread this app to all the world!!!!

Professional & Personal Uses. Used this as a high school theology teacher. (The school is using another Scripture+ app, probably due to cost.) Easy to use. Good highlighting and note features. Great for personal use, too. Nice to be able to easily tote a Catholic Bible most anywhere I go. Four stars rather than five because of price. It's the most expensive app on my iPad. I've recently found a Scripture app with additional resources, prayers, devotions, but I still tend to come back to this app for Scripture.

Great App. I really enjoy Catholic Bible and have gotten a lot of use out of it. I now use this app for my nightly bible readings. I use to pack my bible for business trips and now just take my iPad. I can read at a rest stop, on an airplane, at the airport, in my hotel, in bed, etc. The app is easy to use but I wish it had more notes / explanations, etc. to help me understand and learn more. I'd definitely recommend this app to anyone interested in an e-bible.

Great app! Daily readings, keywords and other features alone are worth the money.. I have found this app to be a great tool. I use it daily using the daily readings feature (Psalms, Gospel, etc). Also use it as reference by looking up key words. Well worth the money! One thing does need improvement: "today's reading" lacks sharing buttons.

So well done and so easy to use. Everything about this is easy to use, you can skip right to the section you want, bookmark, highlight, write a note, search by topic. The only thing I wish you could do which you can't is export your notes. I never use a paper bible any more because this is so easy to use and I can take it anywhere. Great job. I should also say that I bought multiple versions of the bible and flip back forth easily to see how the text was translated in the different versions.

Great app. This is a great app. I use it everyday. I like the latest update too. Made it even easier to negotiate Scriptures. Love having multiple Bibles to reference! I do wish they would make the search feature a bit more intuitive. The iPad utility needs a fix on changing to a different Bible; it makes the passage you are looking scroll back a chapter.

Wonderful application for study.. I am very pleased with this app. I use it everyday during my devotions. I enjoy being able to toggle through different versions of a particular passage by accessing other versions of the bible. I also like the ease of finding books and scripture verses at the touch of my finger. There are so many helpful tools such as underline and highlight in different colors, sharing a passage via email, or social media, the ability to make notes and bookmark verses, and the footnotes at the bottom of each page make understanding the time period and verses, easier to grasp. Being able to implement these different tools at any time is wonderful. This is an app every Catholic should utilize and one that we should share with friends that are not catholic as well. Very happy with this app.

Love it. One improvement would be great. This is very easy to use. A little exploring reveals some great tools and some mini retreats. At first I could not find the link to daily reading, bit it is there. I have another Bible on my kindle. This is much easier to use. Great app Despite review comments the citations listing for daily readings has not been fixed and that is frustrating

Best Catholic Bible I've Found. I've looked at several Bibles in the App Store and this is the one I use. It has great search features and allows sync of comments/highlights between devices. There are plenty of other apps with a Bible but most of them feel tacked on (the Bible is in addition to the app's other features). They tend to be lacking in features compared to this app.

It works well. I like it, however.... Though the interface has become even easier to use, particularly by placing the biblical book search function under "explore," why not make it easier to go back and forth between the different books? And what about getting the Ignatius Study Bible (or at least the Ignatius Bible itself) on there? Would it be too much of a stretch to request a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church to be added and cross-referenced?

An indispensable tool.... This Bible app is well worth the money. We have purchased more than one Bible translation but have access to all of the translations when we're online. The Daily Readings are very convenient. I would have given this app 5-stars a couple of years ago and now it is MUCH better. Can I give more stars for excellent search engine, ease of navigation, readability, and how about the feature which allows a snippet to be pasted into email or notepad? I could go on, but get this app and you won't be disappointed!

BEST OF MANY I HAVE USED!!!!!. I am using this Bible App for my weekly bible study as well as my daily bible readings! I bought it as a "supplement" to add to my printed versions. Now, I found myself using JUST1WORD and my printed versions are the supplements. (I have bought several OTHER Bible Apps - They don't come CLOSE to JUST1WORD!) This is so much easier and faster to search through. The type can be made large enough even for ME to read it on my iPhone and I LOVE the auto scroll! I like it so much that I bought ANOTHER copy for my wife's iPad! NOW, She is discovering how great it is!

Very powerful way to study the Bible. I like the ability to change easily from one translation to another to see how different Bible translations translate a given chapter or verse. For example I can switch easily and read a chapter in the NIV 1984 version, the NIV 2011 version, the RSV, the NRSV, or the New American Bible version which helps understand the chapter much more in depth. The New American Bible Revised Edition is very good. This is a very powerful tool. I find this app very useful. It is very easy to navigate from one book to the next. Many useful features.

Very handy to have the Word of God so conveniently accessible. I like being able to navigate easily to the specific scripture I'm looking for. It's good too that footnotes are included. Also, the keyword search is very handy when I'm trying to find a specific scripture passage & I don't know or cant remember where it is. Thanks to the author(s) of this app for developing it. A real blessing.. I have the NABRE, RSVCE, and the Douay-Rheims translations downloaded...all in the palm of my hand! I wish I could get a copy of the Comfraternity-Douay translation, as that is my favorite. I am still familiarizing myself with the tools, but they seem to be very good. My only complaint is they are too sensitive and can be hidden but not turned off. I am constantly highlighting and bookmarking random passages when all I want to do is simply scroll through the text or move to the next chapter. All things considered, it's a real blessing!

Search. I appreciate finally being able to look something up, either by word or phrase, and to be able to use it for my enrichment or that of others. It's nice to have that ability at my fingertips instead of spending time trying to find the verses in a book. I am still learning how to use this but enjoy what I've learned so far.

Best Bible Experience Ever!. If you're looking for a bible on the appstore, look no further and buy this one. I don't recommend the free ones you see in the apo store as they are not approved by church. This bible app is church approved. I highly recommend buying this bible. I bought it for my iPad mini. It's very convenient in all aspects. You are able to customize the page color to your liking with white, sepia, or gray. You can also customize page brightness, font size, and font type. The footnotes can be hidden if you prefer. My favorite features are the ability to bookmark any page, highlight verses, and leave notes on them as well. If you need to learn how to use some of these features, go to the FAQ section in the menu. Reading the bible with this app has brought me great joy and I hope it can do the same for anyone who decides to buy it as well!

Great Addition to My IPAD Library. This evening I was asked to read a passage (Acts 6 - The Need for Assistants) in our parish stewardship council from another member's paperback Bible. The print was so small and the light in the room so low that I could not easily make out the words. I reached for my IPAD, found the passage in the Catholic Bible, adjusted the font size and shared the reading with our team as we prepared to lead a workshop this weekend to recruit more than twenty new members to join us as we launch a parish-wide initiative to focus our parish family of over 8,000 households on stewardship as a way of life. This evening was also my monthly 11pm hour in our parish perpetual eucharist adoration ministry. The light in the PEA chapel was dim but I was able to continue to read on from the passage I started earlier in the evening as I meditated on the roles the disciples accepted after Jesus was crucified . . . and reflected on the work of Stephen which lead to his martyrdom, the first of many who died spreading the Word. As I usually do, I reached for my rosary to finish my hour and decided to turn to my iMissal on my IPAD for the Glorious Mysteries and found Mary sharing the story of Her life with the apostles after the crucifixion, her death and assumption into Heaven. A great and inspirational way to end a long day!

Great app. I love this app and use it daily. It's very quick and easy to look up Scripture references that are mentioned in my other daily readings (such as Daily Guideposts). It's also very handy to have the footnote links to explore deeper meaning. I also like having the daily Mass readings available. But it's here that the app could use a little work. As one reviewer noted, there are many instances of words running together. I've only seen this in the daily Mass readings. From time to time the footnotes will also be expanded within the Scripture verses, making it a little confusing as to where the verse ends and the footnote begins. Occasionally these readings will not display, regardless of an Internet connection or not. This "outage" can last several days. A message will come up saying there are no active lesson plans. When I try to add the daily readings as a lesson plan, the slider somehow is not "sticking" to the on position. All I can do is try it everyday until it starts working again. I have an older version on another device and the problem runs concurrently with the issue on my primary device with the current version. Any problems I have with the app, though, pale by comparison to not looking up scriptural references at the time I need them, which was often the case when my alternative was to flip through the pages of my Bible.

Great Bible App. It's hard to find a good Catholic Bible App for iPad, but this one is awesome. The search function is very fast. Taking notes and tagging multiple scripture verses to your notes is simple and efficient. The devotions and 2 different concordances (bible index by terms or subjects) really put the cherry on top. My only request is that the next update include more text editing options like highlighting and bullet points. BTW, the app is incredibly stable. It has only forced closed on me once.

Almost perfect.... I love how easy to use this bible is, but I can't get the red letters to work and when I highlight more than one verse in a row for example psalm 25:6-7, when I go to look up my highlighted verses it'll list psalm 25:6 and psalm 25:7 instead of just saying 6-7. Other than those two things I really like this bible, especially all of the reading plans it has. I also really like that you can look up bible verses that have to do with a topic.

There are delights behind every corner. This is truly one of the best apps I have on my iPad; not just because it is the word of God, but because it is put together so well. I was amazed at how much I received from my purchase. This app is well worth the money. The most recent version is the number of improvements are really like, such as the consolidation and organization of the daily readings. So then why only four stars; there are some things that can be improved. The daily readings do not include a reference to the scripture passage for the day I wish there were more versions of the Catholic Bible on this app.

Review of the Catholic Bible App. I rate the Catholic Bible App as outstanding now that I have been using it for about a year. I had trouble for awhile finding the right buttons to press to get me directly to the "books", "chapters", & "verses" that I was looking for. The app is full of information but I did not find it as intuitive to learn how to navigate around as I would have liked.

Review of the Catholic Bible NABRE.. This app is exceptional. Well worth the money. It is very easy to navigate, especially for an old man operating way beyond my capabilities. I am very glad to now have a Catholic Bible on line. At times I had to use Protestant versions. That is no longer a problem. I like many aspects of this app. Especially the history log. When I am In a bible study class and the Book, chapter and verse are disclosed ahead of class or service, I can put the references into history and recall as the moderator moves along. Only one problem, sometimes when trying to switch from one book to another, it closes out and takes you back to the app screen, Now you have to start all over again and this additional load time is annoying.

Catholic NABR Bible is a welcome app. As soon as I found out there was a new revision/translation of the Catholic bible in print, I started looking for an iPad version, and Just1Word had it! So far I have enjoyed using it in my Bible Study every day. The features I've used have proven helpful, although I don't like that it's easy to accidentally highlight text. I wish this bible edition had Catholic commentary like the Jerome or the Collegeville, but then again, they don't have an app. All in all, a good investment. I do not have the 3G iPad, so I appreciate that the Bible is fully loaded onto my iPad, so I can open it wherever I am without needing a wi-fi hotspot. Just1Word: Please create an iPad app for the Catholic Catechism!

NABRE. This is the only Bible App I have been willing to down load, much less pay for! I am enjoying the "study" features included in the format. They are easy to use and motivate one to spend more time and energy to go beyond just the "reading" of scripture. I was excited to find the App and have recommended it to a number of individuals.

Great Content, Touchy Navigation. I love how the information is presented, including the links to / from footnotes. However, a couple of the Explore menus seem very touchy, often closing before I have finished my search. As this does not happen in other apps, I have to conclude that it is this app and not me.

The search feature, easy to get just the specific versus you need, or reading the commentary about a chapter, makes the bible much more accessible. Plus it being a Catholic bible you know it has all the books and nothing missing, and is in union with doctrine tested for 2000 years.

The best Catholic bible app out there. I've tried OliveTree, BibleHub, and others, but this one has the right blend of features, good design, and responsiveness. OliveTree has more features, like study guides and split screen view, but to me that gets in the way and adds bloat. You can highlight, make notes, tag your notes, and bookmark. These will sync with the iPad edition.

Really easy to use. This app is so convenient. It always opens to where I left off, so it is really easy to follow a program of daily reading through the Bible. The background color and type color can be customized, so that you can adjust it so that it is easy on your eyes. That is a big plus too.

The UI needs work. The app itself is okay, but the UI needs some work. For one, there should be a way to hide that purple bar at the top. For me it just gets distracting and in the way. Also, highlighting text is not as intuitive as it should be. On an iPhone, screen space is at a premium. Every little pixel counts and that purple bar is taking up pixels while I'm trying to read the bible.

Catholic bible. I really like this app. It's so easy to move from one book to another. I would also like it if you added the New Jerusalem bible. That with what you already have would make this site awesome! My one negative is the lack of citations for the daily readings. I really use the citations for teaching and for liturgy planning. Please add the citations ASAP. They are greatly needed. And one last wish would be to have the psalm refrain included in the responsorial psalm along with the given verses for the day.

Catholic Bible. Absolutely love this app! I have been looking for an iPad Bible that can highlight AND create notes. When speaking with my Protestant brothers and sisters and also when confronting other more cultish groups that knock at your door, I will no longer forget that Bible verse that I finally will remember after they leave. I now have Notes that have the Apologetics and the verses from Scripture all wrapped up in one program. Thank you, Just1Word!!

Contemplate the word of The Lord.. Great way to start your day. Easy and accessible, no book to carry and yet you can find peace of mind, heart, body and soul by engaging in the word of God. This book provides spiritual enrichment for everyone who reads it. I do every morning as a reminder that God is always by my side. There is no greater book on the face of this earth than the bible.

Not "Offline" Friendly.... I really wish I could give this five stars, but for quite a while now, each and every update seems to be worse than the last. With a pay app, you'd expect better. It should be simple. I bought this for an offline iPod that I take to church. BUT, If you DO NOT (don't want to, or choose not to) sign up for their "sync account," this is a buggy app that constantly crashes. 1. Most importantly, It won't let you use their store, even to restore previous purchases. It freezes. 2. When you are online, it won't quit trying to access their server. The little spinny thing just goes and goes. 3. It won't let you edit or delete previous bookmarks, notes, or highlights. Again, when you are online, it forces them (from their server) back into the app. This ends up being very confusing because it often duplicates many entries. DEVELOPER: I don't want to sync with multiple devices. And if I did, I would prefer Apple's iCloud and not your site. But mostly, I want to be left alone, to study and mark my bible, without you adding technical complications.

Pretty good. Nice, but needs improvements, notably, the "today" feature needs a calendar or at least "tomorrow" for those who attend Saturday mass instead of Sunday. Could also make bookmarks easier to make, like a sub menu that appears with choices of "copy" "bookmark" "highlight" "notes". The scroll feature could also use a pause and/or continue to the next chapter. Its been months and they still havem't added the "tomorrow" button for Saturday night mass in the readings. Dissapointing!

Changes. At first I was disappointed with the changes (updates), you made because it took the fun out of it. After seeing how hard you worked to improve updates, I give you an "A". Catholic Bible. I love this application, it has different versions. You can highlight it and do notes. It comes on different laguages. The Spanish version Is incredible. Before I bought it, I asked a question to the developer and the response was in less than 24 hrs. I recommend it 100%, it is wonderful to have it on my IPad, so I can read the Bible where ever I go!

Good just not great. This app is very good, but it could be much better. It is the best bible app on the market catering specifically to Catholics, and that is the primary reason why I use it. I like that it contains the full text of the NABre including footnotes and articles, but I wish you could also gain access to other commentaries. I would like to see a maps feature, and maybe the ability to upload pictures. The highlighting feature is a great idea, but it can be difficult to use and I don't like that it can only highlight one verse at a time. And sometimes my saved highlights seem to disappear for no reason. I hate the search feature, I want to be able to just type in where I want to go and be taken directly there. Those scrolling wheels are awful! Despite the flaws, there are many excellent features as well. I like that you can change the font and background color. I love that you can make your own notes. I like the devotional feature. If I could, I would have given this 3.5 stars.
