Very difficult to use and neglected app. The App is extremely difficult to use. This app is used by numerous universities to provide shuttle services which seems unfortunate. The app presents you with the map and list of routes names cryptically and expects you to figure out which one to take. If you look at past reviews, similar feedback was provided 3 years back and I don’t see any UX improvements suggesting that this app is neglected.

Looks Different. Took a little while to get used to the new look and placement but now I’m liking it better. I really like the alarm feature so I can forget watching the clock and my phone notifies me when it is getting close.

It needs a complete makeover. It’s missing important information of shuttles such as drop off and pick up locations. Also the shuttles routes are very outdated. They should let the Transit App to take control of the live tracker since they do a excellent job in every aspect. Overall this Ride Systems app is beyond horrible.

Latest version seems to have broken it.. I’ve sent a couple of messages over the past week but no response. App shows the location until you select a route and then the location markers disappear. This is on the Aston Aqua provider fir Honolulu.

Great idea, terrible execution. Downloaded this app to catch a shuttle bus for a conference. Basically had two questions: - what is the schedule - where do I get the shuttle App only listed the next departure, so I had no idea how long I'd have to wait if I missed that one. There is no schedule. Map is hard to read - icons aren't labeled so you can't tell what icon is the bus vs. the bus stop. Rendering is poor on iPhone X - maps appears to be iframed in and I had to quit the app at times to get the map to display.

Unreliable. This app doesn’t consistently work. This past week it apparently upgraded the app and now it isn’t working at all. Not the first time these upgrades have caused this Even without these upgrade issues this app is really poor

Awful. Is there another option please?!. I am using this app for the first time to bus commute to work, and I cannot confidently say that I can rely on this. Nav, icons, and the basics of what it is supposed to do are there, but SO unfriendly. I want to zero star this so bad. I seem to be stuck with using this, if I am to continue to use the bus for my commute.

I love this App. This app is great and dependable! I can get my information in real time and it takes the guessing out of the picture.

This App Is Amazing. I use this app every day. I no longer have to wait in the snow for my bus to come. I just pull up my app and I know exactly where my bus is and how long will be until it gets to my stop. I love the favorite feature!!!

Horrible, you can’t plan with this app. This app is really horrible. It show the shuttle jumping around and changing directions. The times change constantly and doesn’t show your location. There is no way you can plan with this app. Shuttles sometimes will arrive as late as an hour later than estimated times. I would give negative stars if I could.

Very Helpful!. Allows me to see the bus tracking along the route and provides time estimates for the stops. Makes riding the bus easy!

Love the ride. I simply love the shuttle bus service it’s more comfortable and not overcrowded and it’s safer Then the metro buses where it’s overcrowded and uncomfortable

Not what I need. Will gladly upgrade review if someone can address some concerns. First, the app requires me to have my location on. Why? Im at the bus stop, that’s where I am. Once location is on, the app shows me where I am but not where the bus is. That’s what I need this to do, show me where the shuttle to the airport is. Is there an icon I’m not familiar with that shows me where the shuttle is? I see the stops, which I don’t care and the rout, which I also don’t care….it’s a shuttle, there is point A and point B. What is the rout for if I cannot see the bus in relationship to it? I can get a rout map and stop locator anywhere and I wouldn’t have to give away private info to get it. The app seems more like a data gathering for unknown purpose more than a useful tool.

Very helpful!. This app makes going to class soooo much better! Especially when you don’t want to sit outside waiting for the bus, you can just chill in your apartment and watch the bus from your phone. Seeing all the different routes and stops is also super great!

Jolley trolley & city bus. Great to ride ! Super cheap for unlimited rides for a full day . Only downfall is the app is hard to figure out . You can’t really find out where the trolley is . Only reason I gave it 3 stars ! Otherwise all the drivers have been very friendly and sweet & helpful & it’s a cheap ride to get all over in st Pete and Clearwater

Update- working again in June 2023 for GMU. Update- working again in June 2023. Happy to have it back and operational After roughly 3 years of working pretty well the app no longer works for myself or anyone else using it at George Mason University. The app will open but then stays at the loading screen, and never actually loads…. hopefully the developer will see this and fix it or the University will drop it for something that actually works

Written by a 3rd grader. I swear the app users have never been on a transit bus and farmed their coding to Mrs. Goodson’s 3rd-grade class. Since some things works it’s not a 1. The interface is not intuitive, the buttons are confusing and why the hell am I not showing up as the blue dot on the map? Even coffee shops with app show me as the blue dot on the map!! But these yahoos can’t master that? Please do better...I wish my transit system had bought a worthwhile product vs this garbage.

Tracking of busses is a joke. It’s the only app if seen where the busses can go through buildings and then transport from one side of the city to the other instantly! Why not use some decent tracking technology like put an Apple tag on each bus. I think it costs $10 or so 🤣🤣

STOP ASKING FOR LOCATION SERVICES!!. The app works very well, but for those of us who want to use it in a read-only usage model (e.g. to just see where the buses are, not where I am) there is no need for it to have access to my location. It was fine to ask on first launch if I would enable location services. I declined. But the app ASKS for the services EVERY TIME IT’S LAUNCHED and EVERY TIME YOU TASK SWITCH TO IT. I said no... I meant no... stop asking!!!

Doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time unless you need to know where the stops are. It won’t tell you when the shuttles are arriving. If it shows a time, it’s not correct. The app worked two years ago but not anymore.

Great idea, completely worthless. Downloaded the app to see bus schedule and live route updates but can use the app because it asks for a password immediately and I haven’t set up an account or anything. Needless to say I uninstalled it practically immediately.

Not working. As soon as it was installed on my iPhone, when I opened it is asking for password or to change location. Those are the only choices and doesn’t do anything else. If it needs registration I couldn’t find a website to do it. Worthless.

Glitches. I love this app but one problem I have is it won’t show all of the buses that are running it only keeps showing a certain amount of buses but it won’t show all of the buses

App is awful. The pickup times are 10-30min off where the trolley’s location is. That is if the app even updates correctly to show where the trolly is. You have no idea where your location is compared to the nearest trolly stop, if you click the location button is way off. The only thing this app is good for is seeing where the trolly stops are, even then you have to open google maps to see how to get there from your location. Other than that your guessing when the trolly comes. App needs work.

Time Saving. Helpful and easy to use! The real-time bus logging saved me from standing in the cold at the bus stop.

Pathetic App. It doesn’t show where you are currently located or even where your favorite stop is located. The map shows dots for stops 1-30 but doesn’t label them so it’s worthless. After reviewing some of the comments, I figured out you can find your location by clicking the arrow at the top left, but this should be the default. There are lots of comments, but the last update of this app was 3 years ago, obviously they don’t care to improve it. I’m deleting it.

TERRIBLE. If I could rate this no stars about the Jolly Trolley on coastal route near Clearwater I would! They didn’t advertise cash only exact change, and then wouldn’t wait on us. An hour and a half later the next Trolley sped PAST the stop when we were waving to them and never stopped! I have sent two complaints into them directly and heard absolutely NOTHING!

Horrible. This app is horrible, slow, and makes me miss the bus every single morning. The times are not truthful at ALL. They say one time and you look away for one second and you’ve missed the bus.. way BEFORE the time it said. Bad enough only one bus runs an hour. I truly hate this app.

Worked well. It does require at least small familiarity with the bus systems. But if you have it, this app is great for tracking your ride.

Trolley Times. The app doesn’t update you on where the trolley is at. It just gives you times the trolley should arrive at a location. Sometimes it’s traffic and it’s delayed. Some of the drivers are very friendly and give you history and info on locations at each stop or as you pass a places on the route.

The interface is so confusion. The interface is not friendly. It took me a long time to familiar with this app. But I still can not figure out how to pull out the pdf version of the schedule.

Clunky interface, limited functionality. If you’re not familiar with the area, this app won’t help you one bit. It’s designed with the assumption that you already know where you are, which bus route you need, and where the nearest stop is for that route. It doesn’t show you where you are or help you plan how to get from A to B. It will show you one route at a time and the current location of any bus on that route, and that’s it. And for an app that pretty much only does one thing, it doesn’t even do it well. The “routes” and “current location” icons are confusingly similar, your location isn’t shown on the map, and the menu buttons are backwards of convention. When selecting a route, the route icons are much larger than necessary, resulting in the menu taking up way too much of the screen. Also, selecting a new route resets the map’s center and zoom level, which would be fine if it showed a dot for your location, but instead you have to manually find yourself on the map again. Bottom line: this app is okay for showing you where busses are, and not okay for anything else you’d expect it to do.

App. Although the app is helpful, it should not include buses that arrive then go out of service. I have encountered this several times.

Useless | Poorly Designed. One of the most useless apps I’ve ever used. No schedules, terrible interface. Slow responsiveness. There are virtually no useable features. Even the bus route layout is terribly designed for viewing. Don’t waste your time using this. Just use the website for the UW Shuttle instead. You’ll thank me later.

Are they real?. So it might just be me, and I would totally be fine with that. I could have just accidently missed the bus as I sat for 90 minutes on a 45 minute route in front of the bus stop staring at every single car drive by and watching other people wait for the bus and then leave after the app said they had arrived at the current bus stop two or three times. In short please don’t lie and say that a bus or shuttle is coming in a certain amount of time or every 45 minutes. After trying to use the shuttle 4 or five times, getting there 5 to 10 minutes early each time or waiting an hour and a half its just not cool to advertise that you’re gonna do a shuttle then make hundreds of people throughout the day wait for a bus that is never going to come. And yes I have talked to several people at the bus stops and all of them have had the same thing happen. If a bus is not functioning or there are no drivers please let us know on the app, that would be so nice. I don’t care if you do a shuttle or not. But please don’t lie saying the bus is coming when it literally is NOT coming. Just double check, then cancel the route or say there is no shuttle today. If you were to do that a lot of people would be much happier than figuring out for themselves an hour later that there is no shuttle coming.

Trash. This app is the quintessential example of why cross-platform application frameworks produce pure trash. The UI is nonstandard, and glacially slow, the app is full of bugs and strange and weird interactions. There’s no schedule, just the departure time of the next shuttle/bus. It takes an unbelievably long time to actually get to the departure times. Also the word “security” might be entirely unfamiliar to this developer as I can look at the routes, real time location and routes of all of the companies, universities and communities that RideSystems supports all within this same app. This is a monumentally bad design and is ready-made to be abused. Overall it’s better to just wait on the side of the street wondering if a shuttle or bus will arrive than to use this sorry excuse for an app. The sad thing is this company probably charges an exorbitant amount of money for this trash.

Good alternative. A very good alternative to existing corporate shuttle apps. Feedback submitted is considered and in some cases incorporated into the app. The company was easy to work with and made us feel important and appreciated

Extremely Insecure Application. There’s no reason anyone should be able to download, install this app and then view the transit routes of your consumers with absolutely no authentication. There are universities, schools, organizations, public and private companies and etc, etc, that use your tool. Please consider the physical security of your riders and address the glaring security hole.

Not sure how it works. I’m sitting in the New Orleans airport trying to find out if I can use the bus system to get where I need to go. It’s showing one green route it seems to go inside the airport to one stop just outside the airports at a parking lot. Are there Other other routes available? Asa programmer I don’t find this intuitive. There should be a screen that allows me to pick the routes from a list rather than a map which is hard to follow on a small phone screen in an unfamiliar city. Maybe there is only one route in NOLA but it would be nice if it told me that. If I expand the map it shows me the points of interest like the zoo, Irish channel, canal st where the hotels are but I can’t select the destinations to find a bus route there?

Awesome Ride. My stars, we had an awesome little “old” lady (no offense) driver, who really knows her way around. First time using. Great experience.

Need a schedule! Waited for over an hour. Waited for over an hour for a shuttle that never came. I ended up ordering a Lyft. There were 4 buses on route and the app said 8 mins away for 30 mins. I was hearing the bus drivers had to take a break but they should stagger or have a set schedule so people can anticipate that and make their flights on time. This app didn’t work for me.

Waauuuw... This app changed my life. If I could rate 10 stars, I would. It literally tracks every single bus you could ever even imagine getting on. Beyond that, it has a streamlined menu that is simply #lit

Don’t expect accuracy. The app works entirely off the schedule, not where the shuttle actually is. It just said the shuttle departed my stop when it’s across the city on the map (and very much not at this stop). This app provides no real benefit over just having a link to the schedule.

Great service!. I watch the shuttle service really grow and expand over the past several years. It’s now really convenient free and they’ll stop if you wave them down. It really makes it easy to get around South Padre Island.

Not working. No update in two years. App just continues to load and doesn’t work. In the past it was kind of useful, but now just takes up space on your device. Too bad.

It works. Set your favorites so it’s easy to call up the route you wanna see. It’s not the sleekest app but all I need it to do is tell me when the next shuttle arrives. The fact you can watch the location of the shuttle as it travels is cool.

Schedule. It’s pretty simple, I just wish there was a schedule for everything for the new people that want to try it out

Needs routing across multiple bus routes.. Our community has multiple bus routes and has adopted this to track them. However, there is no indication of when/where to transfer to other routes in order to get to your final destination. Also, you can’t even view multiple routes at the same time to see where they might intersect. Wish this would integrate with Google maps.

Hit and miss on arrival times. The app arrival times are hit and miss at best. Standing there waiting on the 6:22 pick at the northern most stop on the north beach route, he had arrived 11 minutes earlier! Pretty good other than that. I solely use the tracker now and never go by the pickup times.

Not 100% accurate. While mostly reliable, it’s not 100%. Currently two bus routes are switched and showing the wrong times and gps.

Garbage. This app is garbage. It does not work

Bunk. Super laggy, can’t tell where the bus is cause it jumps from one side of town to the other in a flash and then to another random location.. also shows the busses in places that aren’t on the route. Nice try though, good concept.

Terrible. It doesn’t show an accurate portrayal of where the buses are. Complaints are never addressed. Garbage app in service of corrupt companies. Shame on all the people who have power in this operation.

Horrible. The tracking and timing of all of the shuttles is extremely inaccurate. Very unhelpful for productivity.

Awful. This app is terrible. It does not update properly and it makes me feel like I'm going to be late for the bus all the time since the school has switched over to this bus time system recently. This morning I checked it and said that the bus was coming two hours after I got to the stop making me think I missed the bus, but it actually came in about 5 mins. Also a few moments ago I checked it and it says he bus is going to come at 12:00pm when my clock clearly said 3:30pm. The app seems to only update the actual arrival time when the bus gets to the bus stop, which defeats its purpose because I don't need the app to tell me that the bus is here when I can see with my own eyes the physical bus in front of me. Just awful...please fix this.

Only works mon-fri. This app does not work at all on the weekends. It is supposed to track the free trolley service in downtown stamford. Trolly does not show up on the app on saturday or sunday - but trolley is definitely running on the weekends because I see it passing by.

I don’t like the update.. The updated app has made me confused. What if I don’t know the name of the stop I’m standing near? What if I want to see exactly where the trolly is departing from like the previous version? 🤔. So, confused.

Only because I need it. The app frequently fails to load anything at all. If there were any other option, I would take it but unfortunately I just have to live with the bugs.

Does not work. I have an original iPhone SE and it does not let me choose locations for pick ups or drop offs.

Keeps kicking me out. I don't if it's the Wi-Fi, which is find from where I'm at, the app keeps blocking me out. So I have no idea what can be fixed it

Not super helpful. It kinda gives you the basic info but also is super difficult to use and read.

Terrible app. This is a dreadful app. They clearly did little usability testing with actual human beings. Some of the fault lies with the hospital (in my case) providing they service but this is just barely better than sitting and wondering where the bus is.

Garbage in, garbage out. From an architecture standpoint, this app seems fine. But the data it shows you is only as good as the data it gets, and the estimated arrival times are a joke. I've seen them drop 10 minutes with no warning and have missed plenty of buses before learning not to rely on it. And I don't know about other universities, but Carnegie Mellon's shuttles don't operate continuously. The app doesn't account for that and will tell you a bus is arriving imminently when in reality it will not leave dispatch for a half hour. It took me several days to figure this out. Conclusion: meh. Only useful for seeing the live bus tracking location, but this does not give you an accurate idea of timing if the bus is sitting at a stop until it is scheduled to leave.

Doesn’t even load. First app I’ve ever had that doesn’t even load or function.

WORST APP EVER MADE. It’s mind-boggling to me that this company gets business. Whose uncle at these universities knows the moron owner of this company? Some routes the maps are backwards. An incredibly frustrating and worthless app.

Anyone with some common sense could develop a better app. Rice university used to have a basic shuttle locator system which worked so well. Just showing you where the shuttles were, that's all we need! Since they moved to this app, let's say I walk a lot more: by the time it uploads the routes, and bus location, I can cross campus on foot. It's crazy slow, making it pretty much useless. It sometime doesn't remember which map I use + it doesn't save which shuttle I want to see, wasting more of my time while the shuttles keep on moving. I honestly think anyone could come up with a better interface and more efficient app. I can't believe my university paid for this.

Extreme lag. When this app works, it's good and is very useful. I use it every day since I live close enough to ride from home and traveling between the upper and lower campuses. However, this app is highly inconsistent. If the data connection is lost for even a second, it fails and the dreaded "internet connection problem" window pops up. There are two options, exit and try again, but try again has never worked even when I'm back on wifi. This app has way too many lagging issues to be a reliable "live tracker". Sometimes I just use the mobile website for faster service.

Bad service. Went to Tarpon Springs to wait for trolly to Clearwater. Twice the trolly drive passed. My granddaughter and I waited for over an hour. We were at the marked pick up stop.

Trash. Doesn’t work on iPhone 7 Plus. Black screen or never shows shuttles. More frustrating hoping it works and doesn’t ...then it ever works. Junk.
