Tried all the other guitar processing apps and this is the one. I have been using iOS based apps and all kinds of interfaces, this one is the best bc of the master-master plume that makes it a breeze to tweak for clipping and presence. I currently use the xsonic xtone pedal and it sounds great, better and faster than any irig or apogee interface. Jam up pro is easy to use and is a great virtual showroom that offers accurate models of amps and fx that u can base your real gear purchases on.

Useless. I was led to believe this app would play music that I could jam with. There is no music in it. It has two pull existing music off of the iPad or iTunes. This is useless. I could play along with my own music 20 years ago on a boom box. I want a refund.

Loading Blues. Great app, one of the best I’ve used. However, loading songs from my iPad library(stored on the cloud) is daunting as there is no search feature. Granted this is not the fault of the app. Start a JamUp playlist, move songs you download into that playlist, then load them to JamUp. The pitch and tempo controls are superb. There is almost no degradation of sound quality when using either. Wish I could start/stop looper with my foot but you can’t have everything. ,

Use it as a looper pedal. I use this with an old griffin storm box (works with 30 pin to lightning adaptor and you can get them really cheap these days). Excellent support for the stompbox. I paste in drum loops from other apps into the sampler so I have a beat box that I can start and stop with a pedal. Effects are very comparable to other apps I have tried. I am using this on an iPad mini2 with no issues so far.

Perfect Setup. This app is an all-in-one app, that surprised me a LOT! I'm using an iRig HD and this, and a homemade BT pedal, for switching pedals or presets. This is pretty much all you'll ever need, playing guitar in a fast and portable fashion. Every single effect is perfect, and the option to place them in any order, gives you the ability to create any tone you can think of. You do get what you pay for, on this app. If you're only using the free stuff, then you're gonna be limited as to how good it can sound. Trust me, buying the in-app upgrades will be money well spent. You're going to need an interface, of course, and a Bluetooth foot-switch controller, to be able to change setups while playing. This JamUp app works with airturn or MIDI control pedals. You could even rig a keyboard, with foot-switches, and use switch control, in iOS settings. Enjoy, --brad

Great app sounds great. After I figured out that you had to switch it from mono to mix left and right it works great ! Love the Di Driver for bass!

Great app - Great support from app maker. I use JamPro mainly to practice. It’s great to be able to sit on my couch with headphones and be able to play along with songs. I also love to play with all of the amps and pedals. I love having $10K of equipment in my phone. Positive Grid support is great! I had an issue with the app where I couldn’t see songs in the “Jam” section of the app because I accidentally denied the app access to iTunes when I first installed, and Positive Grid was very responsive and helpful in helping me figure out what I did wrong. The fix was simply to reinstall the app. I use the app with my bass guitars and a iRig2. I even have a preset that matches my real pedal board.

Why so much feedback?. I don’t understand how there can be any feedback while using earbuds and using an external speaker? - forget about it if you want any amount of decent distortion.

Crashing with 8-track, please update its too good to ignore. This app has been a great and creative place for me to make music since 2014. But the 8-track no longer lets you import or export without crashing. PLEASE update this great app.

Brilliant app they are abandoning. This is much more functional than Bias FX 2. Sounds better too.

You screwed me over. You guys did me so dirty. I purchased the full app a long time ago and was able to record using the full 8 track mixer. I had audio files recorded and saved. I launch the app today for the first time in a while to reminisce on some old material to tell me I have to purchase the expansion pack. I tried restoring purchases and nothing. I tried loading my old recordings and they were all gone. You lost my trust. Stay away from this bogus app. Greedy company. I will never purchase another product from you.

Please fix! Unable to reach settings. Ios 17 broke jamup pro, now strip of the screen on the right is unresponsive so no settings! Also barely works in loopy any more, and i JUST got a new ipad to finally use this rig I have been building for 13 years!!!! Please fix! And update to AU3 if you want!

My iPhone is my pedal board. I had a line 6 that I really liked except I got tired of lugging it around. Jam Up Pro gives me the sound I’m looking for and is way easier to transport with an iRig.

Starting to get disappointed. I used to love this app. I could plug it into Garage Band and have a field day making music with it. I don’t know what happened in the past year or so but sometimes it says it’s not compatible anymore. When it does let me sync up to it, the sound of it is horrible. I’ve made all my sound adjustments to prevent this from happening. FYI. If you have a problem with Garage Band, they are the only reason I bought this app. Square up with them and resolve your issues please. These 2 apps are the only reason I even get an iPhone. Please fix your issues and bugs. Add an update. I paid too much money for a garbage app.

Low latency. Nice app , great sounds with low latency. I like how it integrates into Auria recording sessions.

Crashes all the time!. This used to be my go-to app for quickly laying down some loops in the Sampler section. Recently something happened (iOS update?) and now whenever I try to load a saved song the app crashes. When I reopen it there is a default value of 144 measures in the Sampler. Attempting to load a song causes it to crash again. I can sometimes access my list of saved songs by hitting Save first, and then Load, but it keeps crashing. I loved this app! Please fix it.

Product crashing after IOS 14 update.. This app was awesome but with a lack of updating and adding new effects. It seems they have abandoned this app. Now that IOS 14 came out it’s Crashing so if your like me who has spent good money buying everything in this app is now useless. Cant even open the app. No new effects no new updates. I’m done with this app until they fix it and grow on it.

Customer service is non existent. I have an outstanding support request ticket that is going on two weeks with no help. If a solution to your problem is not on the faq list, you are on your own....disappointed.

App no longer works after latest iOS update. Please update the app. I’m not able to use it after the latest iOS update.

Stopped working with iOS 14. Jamup Pro appears to be dead after I updated to iOS 14.

No more updates?. Extremely good app but it’s been a while since the last improvement, hence 4 stars. (I have AmpliTube too, this is much better).

Can’t get it work on iOS 11. I liked the app, but after iOS update it doesn’t recognize my audio interface (apogee jam)

Very good app,but you need studio speakers for anything to sound good.. Definitely also get the bias app as well because you can build your own amp. What more can I say?

Seriously Such a Great App. I love the tones, all the available petals, and they have a pretty spot on tuner w/ tons of great packs to buy that are really worth it. 9/10. Almost as good as the real thing.

Recent update causes crashing.... I have really enjoyed this app. I have an electric fiddle and can create some awesome sounds with this app. But, the most recent update keeps crashing? Not good, especially if I’m performing. Is there a fix coming for this? Would have given it 5 stars, but for this problem.

Eh. Decent app, my biggest issue is I only have an ipad pro, and there is NO WAY for me to import any music into it. For the love of god please make it so we can at LEAST import songs with dropbox! The whole point of this app is to be able to import a song and jam to it!

Cool easy App for guitar. This is a cool app for guitar to get almost any sound you can think up real quickly.

Best guitar app ever. I’m using this app for 5 years I’m playing every day on NYC subway stations the power and stability is amazing, well done Bias team

Good app but... I purchased the Jeff loomis metal pack and it’s showing on my iPhone I got it and not on my iPad and I’m signed into the same account. Help

After All the Rest, This Is It!. This rather serious Tech user and guitar player of over 50 years has now been around the block with the primary Amp Sims and for the money, the UI ease of use and design, but above all, the quality of the sound of the Amps and the utility of the Pedals, for ten bucks, this one is absolutely the best. I waited for a couple months of using this app after trying and favorably reviewing several others because this is the one I found the easiest to use and definitely has the best clean sound. Here’s another key difference, there’s 128 Preset Slots. The UI is very accessible for switching between tones, amps and pedal setups instantly. Nembrini, for example is the opposite. It’s also important to mention how well this app works with GarageBand. The additional features make you sound better and cleaner than the its internal sims. It works seamlessly. Lastly, my other distinction is how clean and clear the sound is when output to an external amp, for performance purposes, in my case a tone neutral 100 watt PA. The noise gates are extremely sensitive and effective. So basically you get all the benefits of the more well known apps that are in multiples of cost ranges and probably very little in additional functionality. Thanks for providing this excellent app for such an incredible one time purchase of $10. Apple should promote it to a larger entry level audience.

Update please. IOS 15 may ruin the muti-track recorder. When I try to import audio file, the app spontaneously stops to work. This app must be updated for better compatibility with IOS 15 and connectivity with USB-C type audio interface. I even cannot hear the sound with my USC audio interface if I am not use the AUDIOBUS app.

Please update so it’s compatible with ios14.. It’s useless to me now.

Upgraded to Pro and lost my expansion. I had a metal expansion on the regular JamUp. I recently upgraded to Pro and can no longer use them. The “Restore Purchases” button does nothing. Please help.

Still no support for modern iPhones?!. Unbelievable. Eighteen months since the iPhone X launched, and these clowns STILL haven't updated this app - which wasn't exactly cheap - to support it. I for one can't STAND lazy, incompetent developers. Just sayin. This company is literally the WORST. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Very sweet sounds.... I wrote a review for this long ago when it was the only app Positive Grid had out. Since it is still available on the App Store I thought I should re-write it considering how much iOS music has evolved. Of course, if you know about this app you probably know about BiasAmp or BiasFX. There are a lot of people who will say BiasAmp is the best on iOS. I think that would be subjective but for many, that’s the fact. My personal opinion is that JamUp Pro is better for one reason. In my opinion, more choice is not better sound. Sure, you can customize amplifiers and that kind of thing in BiasAmp, and if that’s what you really want, your new amps still work with JamUp Pro. I would spend hours tweaking an amplifier in BiasAmp trying to come up with my “signature” tone only to open it up a week later to find I hated it. The beauty of JamUp Pro Is it’s just like a guitar amp. Plug-in and play. All the great amps have already been made and these ones all sound great without getting inside and changing the tubes or adjusting things like transformers and tone stacks. In my original review I kind of bashed on it for being mono. There were no stereo effects. There’s still not any stereo effects. But the way iOS has evolved for musicians you can add stereo effects to your signal chain before the recorder. Just run it through Audiobus or AUM as an input, add effects then send the signal into a recording app. This has the effect of recording a single mic’d amplifier with classic effects pedals then adding studio effects during mixing. I don’t know if it’s possible but I would really like to see this app become AUv3 compatible. This would make it possible for me to send a single guitar signal to two or more different amplifiers and record them all at the same time. I think I’m just dreaming though. So, closing, I STILL highly recommend this app. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No longer works on iPhone SE 2020. I purchased this app last year and decided to pull out my guitar and Irig 2 and Jam up pro doesn’t work anymore. Effects don’t work totally useless now and I am out money for an app that doesn’t work

Needs way more presets. Out of the box this comes with just a few presets, most of which just aren't very good or useful. If you really enjoy endless tinkering and tweaking of pedals, amps, and chain then you'd probably like this app. I'd much rather have a really robust set of presets to choose from, created by pros who know what they're doing. I feel lost trying to this with this app. There's a reason why users of guitar amp sim software are flocking to Tonebridge - it's because they just want to choose a sound and go.

Ehh. It’s ok for a solo practice, but not much else. The tuner needs work. I don’t think they’re putting much into this app these days. It seems like they just leave it on the App Store to squeeze a little more money out of it. Quite a shame! It has potential, but I’m not sure about the developers.

Makes nice sounds, but 8 track completely worthless. Very frustrated with this app. DON’T BUY THE $5 8-track “upgrade,” it only allows you to record more tracks. There is no way to do any post-recording mixing, or anything like that. If you want to record something and then use that recording in “JAM” that is not possible. Want to speed your track up? Impossible. Highly frustrating, and borderline infuriating how little functionality it has.

Just not it.... I’m really disappointed in this app, bias amp 2, and bias fx. Even though the apps are made to be used together, the purchases don’t transfer over. Just when you think you got what you need, you have to buy it all over again. Also the three programs each have a specifically coordinated weakness, so you pretty much have to buy all three. This is very smart marketing, but a dirty way to nickel and dime the customers. The channel switching is super slow and loud. I wouldn’t use it in the dingiest club. Don’t get me wrong, the flexibility is awesome. You have 3 millions ways to make a 5150 sound like crap and one or two to make it sound good. We pretty much all knew that. I was looking to lighten my load with this technology, but I’m right back to big amps-And I am totally happy with it. I wish I never blew money on this setup.

Excellent tool for learning songs. Audio no longer playing through my device (iPad, iPhone) speakers. Audio only works with headphones or earbuds plugged into lightning connector. This is so frustrating.

Probably need to update. I’m still having issues hearing what I recorded when I play it. I think you’re just going to have to update the app there’s probably a bug

Wow. Absolute garbage.. Maybe it’s the latest iOS update, but nothing works on the app. I used the free version for a while and thought I’d upgrade to pro. Waste of $10. Looper doesn’t work. 8 track doesn’t work. Effects all sound the same. Will be asking for a refund.

NO LONGER WORKS. It was fine for a few months, and now it just keeps crashing. The backing tracks you load will not play anymore. Fire your developers, they screwed it up

A world of tones. I love the Positive Grid software and would give it 5 stars but I find some of it works from app to app and some doesn’t. Strangely I can sync Bias FX and Jam Up but my JamUp Pro (which I bought to access the pedal boards) doesn’t show any of the expansion packs I bought. Also oddly Bias Amp 2 is different for iPod than for iPhone because again my purchases aren’t loading even after restore/troubleshooting. So if you like JamUp buy the Pro before you purchase extras.

Amp controls crash if you try an amp not purchased. I tried an acoustic amp and they don’t give you control of the eq. Ok, but why does the volume and eq on all my amps quit after I switch back. Have to delete the whole app and reload. I’m ditching this crap and going back to my real amps. I wanna refund. I threw away loads on this garbage.

Support. Love this app. The controls for the the effects are a nightmare and get my heart rate up just trying to turn a volume knob on my iphone x and my ipad pro. Before finishing this I checked one more time in the support section to see if I missed something, there needs to be a clear complaint or issue department sorry if I'm too dumb to understand your help section.

John. I was using your app for about 6mnths with my bass guitar, then it started distorting. I got a new phone, and the app still is not working properly for bass guitar. I’ve checked all levels on sound board I’m running it through, checking all levels on the app to make sure I’m not clipping, and it’s still playing distorted. Hoping the issue gets resolved soon. I was really enjoying the app until it stopped working right for me

Still not working on IOS 14. Any updates on this issue..

App Crashing. App crashes when loading song into sampler jam and 8trk,what’s up with that?

Pedal effects. Hi I can't seem to buy any packs or pedals to add I've tried many times but the app great but I'm getting frustrated trying to add pedals or a pack please help me thanks

banjofran. Okay I have had enough! Positive Grid do make nice software however the bugs are ever present, and for long periods of time their products will not function reliably which is bad enough, My main grievance though is that at some point they decided that it would be a good idea to install nagware even in the full editions of Jamup (XP Pro) and currently their pop up request to "rate their App" completely freezes Jamup in Audiobus the result being I can not use Jamup along side other Apps. I have tried "reviewing the app", telling it to "remind me later" and also pushed the "No thanks" button many times, but it still keeps hassling me to rate the App and freezing my iPad. I have spent a small fortune on the IAPS and feel I should be allowed to use it (bugs and all) without unsolicited notifications, and by the way one of Jamups competing effect processors is a vastly superior sounding product.

Where’s the IOS 14 Update. Disgraceful negligence to not have an update ready for IOS14, let alone weeks after its launch.

Jamup. Awesome app. Sounds great.

Inter app audio app please!. Awesome stuff! If you update this to utilise GarageBands new inter app audio app function, this thing will be on 6 stars.

Awesome Sound. Best sounding modeling app on iOS.

Incredible. Sounds better than any VST or hardware modelling unit I've ever used, very easy to use and cheap too. Couldn't give a higher recommendation.

Absolutely fantastic!. Highly recommended for any guitarist, pro or amateur. Great selection of amps and effects and the developers are very active and open.

Blown Away!. Very rare that I bother to write a review - this is definitely worthy of one though. I wish I'd found this app before I wasted money on the countless other ones I've bought. I'm playing a Les Paul Studio through an irig and it sounds fantastic. Other than GarageBand, this is the only guitar app that I can happily play with for any length of time without getting sick of terrible tone. Best amps and effects by far. Presets are all usable and diverse sounding. And so many extras that are lacking in the others - tuner and a metronome that plays in the background, option to jam along to any of your iTunes music, free downloadable user presets and a recorder...can't ask for anything more. Plus it's universal rather than having to pay for the same thing twice like Amplitube. Can't rate it enough, probably won't use any of the others again. Big A + from me.

jamup pro is ridiculous!. I've been a valve amp man for many many moons now. owning the best I could buy, Mesa mark v, roadster, Marshall el35 with rack gear, fender bassman...list goes on. I never really had faith that digital software could simulate or even come close to what a real amp sounds like. . . but know i have faith. this app is amazing and convincing. tone future is here. honestly, I have not plugged into my Mesa's or Marshalls for months now. I'm addicted to this app. it's the all in one guitarists happy place. get some good powered monitors plug in and get face melting!

It's gud. I liek it a lud.

Fabulous!. Great sounds, functionality, after sales service and value.

Great App, But Costs Can Add Up. I really like this app, however like others of this type, costs can rack up once you start purchasing 'extras' from within the app. Sound is excellent, and each amp and effects pedal has a distinct personality. I am not a big fan of extra purchases and would prefer it to be all up front, if that is $50 plus then so be it. I can see further 'bundles' and 'packs' being offered, so be prepared to dig deep.

Unusable. The app crashes when any midi clock is running. It just freezes on start up. I sent them a bug report nearly a year ago and it's still broken. Such a shame, it's really good apart from all the crashing.

Fantastic App!. This is hands down the best guitar effects app on the AppStore! This is now the only tool I use to track guitars in my home studio! Just brilliant!

The best I've tried. Without a doubt, Jamup Pro is the best guitar amp sim I've tried. That includes some big names. One of the really striking things is how quiet it is, with little noise even with a fair bit of gain. Standard it has an excellent selection of gear, and there's some stellar stuff to buy as in-app purchases. Definitely the one I would recommend.

Gud stuff. Easy and nice tones but would be good if it gets updated often..

Useful AND fun. Here's an app that is very useful and fun to play. The sounds are more organic than others I've tried. Love it!

Awesome. When I first installed this app ( about a year and half ago? ) it was buggy and frustrating me. I deleted it. I Got inspired again whilst trying different interfaces that would work best with my recording apps and now it's sounds GIG WORTHY. Well done.

Good sounds and easy to use.. I wish the pitch change could have some fine tuning - only adjusts by semitones. Great for learning repertoire - can loop and slow sections to learn hard riffs or licks.

Definitely pick of the bunch. Only garage band stands up to this one. Nicest ui of any of em too. Great job

lorrrvv this app!. just a joy to finally jam with some kind of control over things! Amp/cab/stomp sims are awesome great job!

Not compatible with iOS 14. Hi there, great app so 5 stars for it. But when will your iOS 14 update be available. At the moment the app fails to launch. Thanks

Great app. Really fantastic app. Love all the amps and effects. Compares favorably to other apps such as Amplitube and Ampkit.

Fantastic app. Great sound, no latency, soooooo much fun and way better than greedy amplitube

WoW just wow. This app just nails it. Ease of use and a full setup with just your ipad. I know carting all your gear would be great while on holiday, but this app enabled me to play and jamb along with just a plug in lead and my guitar. I use irig to plug my guitar. It's awesome..

Outstanding sound and value. Positive Grid has created an app with some of the best guitar tones I've ever heard. It is so easy to use and allows for some great recording opportunities. I love it.

Awesome. Awesome sound out of this app. Love it

Love it. This is fantastic. Love the sounds, love the features, love the interface. Wonderful to record with.

Sounds great!. and Audiobus compatible too! Only thing missing is MIDI controllable effects

Great app.. Who needs a quadbox ;)

Bought the others this is the best earphone input Amp simulator. I have bought all the others but this is the one I use, do prefer line6 with mobilein but if you only have earphone input this is the best amp

No longer works!!. App stopped working with most recent update. I keep getting a messages saying 'Audiobus initialisation failed' and then the app crashes. Was wonderful before this, please fix this bug so I can use the app again!!!

The only one to get. I've got this app, ampl**** and ampk**, this is the only one app you should consider especially for high gain, enough said.

Just Plain Brilliant!!. It works! It does everything the others do, only better. Plus some stuff the others can't.

Awesome!. Plug in and go nuts! The jam feature is priceless... With two children under the age of two in the house, I could never plug in and blast out a few tunes. Now, I can! This will revolutionize the way I practice and write. Don't how I've lived without this all my life!!!!

Simply brilliant. The benchmark for guitar/bass software. A huge range of effects and amps make it possible to get the tone your looking for. Why carry all that gear to practice when you can carry your whole rig in your pocket. If you were to buy all the stomp boxes and amps in their catalogue you'd be up for thousands of dollars. It's a shame you can only give it 5 stars because it deserves 10 or more.

JamUp Pro review. Easy to use. Sounds great. I can get some cool sounds I can't achieve in some other apps. JamUp Pro should be part of your collection. JerryA

Big Bass sounds. This app sounds better than my $3000 rig. Simple and awesome. Amplitude is no comparison.

Wish I'd seen this first.... I just wish I'd seen this before all the other crazy stuff I saw (and bought). It does seem better than amplitude - and a big thing for me - it plugs into Audiobus. So whether I use Loopy, or Multitrack DAW or anything else that supports Audiobus to record - good old Jam Up is a plug in between my guitar and this. Haven't tried to sing through it yet - but I bet I can do that to, tiny bit of distortion, little reverb, maybe some echo. Main thing is it sounds good and is easy to use... And an absolute bargain.... Oh... And did I mention it supports Audiobus??

Close, but needs tweaking. I mainly use jamup as a song learning tool. To get five stars, it needs: 1) fine pitch tuning. 1/2 steps are too big 2) the 'loop' button is far too small and way too close to the surrounding 'buttons'. 3) the play head keeps retuning to the beginning when i restart after manually moving the 'play head'

Feeling a bit 'left behind'. BIAS this bias that, why can't we use BIAS Pedal with this app too! To all us suckers that have invested heavily in overpriced extras that will not transfer to BIAS FX, I say we have been jibbed! Please make any additional purchases transferable or provide us with access to BIAS Pedal so we don't feel so cheated... Even if there was a cap on pedals purchased to have access would be fine.

Jam up. Best friendly app to use. I had some technical problem with the consepter but happily apple solved it. Very easy friendly app

Better than expected. Amazing app! I used it with my actual pedal board got amazing tones with it.

Awesome app!. This is a great app, only problem on the sharing part of the app the Jeff Loomis clean tone isn't clean its just a copy of the rhythm, loving the Ola Englund tone's

Love it!!. An amazing app.

Super. Le meilleur app de musique.

Pro level guitar tone on a mobile device. This new update including the new signature metal amps is amazing. The sounds I'm achieving in this app are having me second guess my live rig. There may be a day when I show up to the venue with my iPad, AirTurn and a few cables in one hand and my guitar in the other. I would like to see a proprietary wireless Bluetooth pedalboard made with tuner in the future. Other than that the only thing I can say is my tube amps are collecting dust.

Upgrading to Pro was a mistake. Positive Grid makes great products. I had have had Jam Up XT for some time and just purchased Bias for iPad, which is awesome. So I thought I would upgrage to JamUp pro. This is not an upgrage, it is a new purchase. All the amps, effects and modules I had purchased don't tansfer to the new version. You don't find this out until you go to their webpage to look for support because you suddenly have a lot less amps, effects, etc. This would have been very good to know up front. I would not have purchased the Pro Version. If you don't have any version of JamUp then get the Pro version as you get more stuff up front, but be aware if you are upgrading that you may have to purchase items you already paid for again.

Synchronization Problem. On JamUp standalone, playback of recorded audio in the 8track using the metronome is fine. But, when copying and pasting 8track audio into Auria the synchronization drifts off during playback. I was relying on copy/pasting from the 8track because it's a handy little workstation. This needs to be fixed.

Incredible !. It's the best app if you want a good tone for your guitar or bass !!!!

Amazing app. An amazing app for any guitarist. I highly recommend buying a digital interface rather than one that plugs into the headphone jack to avoid excess noise which is amplified by high gain amp sims and pedals.

Missing pedals And 1, or 2 amp...?. 10 years ago I’ve purchased most of the pedals and 1 or 2 amps and when I took out my guitars and dusted them, I wanted to get back on practicing and opened my iPad to connect a few pedals I paid for; Noise filter, acoustic eq, acoustic, multi head, ola delay, vibrato, auto wash, uni vibe, Pitch Shifter, tron mu tron, room reverb, sab driver, and acoustic. I’m pretty shure at 80 % of my PURCHASED and I know I could make a mistake but, please check and re install my paid pedals, Thank you Frank R. Marchessault L.

Incredible.. This is the Pandora's Box of portable guitar rigs. It doesn't just end there, the main focus of the app being tonal quality and how user friendly everything is it, guides it right to the top of the food chain.

The best of the best. No others can beat this one.... With the jammer and the excellent selections of amps and pedals, add to that the excellent and versatil interface.... And of course, the best sound in town

So much fun for a beginner like myself. Just wish the expansion packs were cheaper.. So much fun for a beginner like myself. Just wish the expansion packs were cheaper.

Come On!. This is a great app but after purchasing all xtras now you want to sell them to me again inside of Auria as a VST, just plain GREED!

Excellent! Add stereo effects and it will be perfect!. One of the best amp sims out there, in terms of interface and sound quality. Lagging behind only with regard to stereo effects -- this makes a real difference to headphone listening. Otherwise a first choice (and I've tried them all).

Not launching on iOS 14. Please fix Upgraded today to iOS 14 and will not launch. Will be downgrading back to iOS 13. It is a fantastic app. Does not launch in iOS 14.

A nice surprise. Blown away by the tone accuracy of the amps and the graphical representation of the components within this app; such as the amps, pedals, etc. This app very intuitive and easy to use, cranks up the fun factor to 11.

Far from good ios app. The pitch shift is good but only shifts by a multiple of few semitones. All mp3 I downloaded are out of tune by about half of a semitone so that this feature I could never use, always retuned my guitar. Bass samples are just crap never look any close to a bass guitar. Distortion, it is much better if I use any cheap pedal. Reverberation effect takes so much CPU that my latest iPad gets to its knees. All in all - a lot of things to improve to get it usable.

JamPlayer useless for Apple Music subscribers. JamPlayer feature has never supported songs stored on iCloud (big disappointment) but if you subscribe to Apple Music it will not support ANY songs on your device as it sees them all as remote (even if you download them to your phone)

No.. So you are already logged in with your apple id. You pay for their product through the ion app purchase, through the App Store. But wait! There's more! You need to sign in and let your Facebook account be hijacked by these people in order to use the stuff you just paid for. No. Where's my refund?

My fave. I have Jam up AmpliTube and GarageBand. JU is my fav by a comfortable margin. The looper and jammer are kinda Mickey Mouse but for tones it is great. Play clean jazz and blues so no comment on the high gain stuff

Positive grid bravo. I use this app more than my amp. I have also plugged it into my interface and recorded on the go. It is brilliant and has tons of tones to play with. Even going from 6 string passive pickups to 7 string active I have no problem dialing up some great tones. Bravo

jamup pro. Its Awweesssoommeee..i love it..

Wow. JamUp Pro is impressive.. I'm really hesitant to use amp simulators because I find the majority of them painfully shrill or thin and digital-sounding. After reading positive reviews I took a gamble with JamUp and I was not disappointed. Within minutes I was able to get a full, clean tone with my tele plugged directly into the Apogee Jam. And there's solid amount of versatility within the initial download with more available via In-app purchases. Initially I found the interface just a bit odd, but after 10 minutes I thought it was great. The ability to change the signal path and save presets it fantastic.

Good sketch pad and great interface for first demos. The amp simulators are impressive for such an inexpensive app, the share utilities are a nice touch (some of you love delay waaaay too much, though! ;-p) and the audiopaste app makes it easy to import from my FL mobile DAW and add axe and vox to ideas with a minimum of hassle. Feedback and level issues are a problem for live work. Using this in a band practice setting w/ a jam hub requires a careful balance of gain and master volume, otherwise feedback gets quickly out of control...

Best amp sim I've tried so far. As real as it gets on an iPod/iPhone/iPad

The best. I would buy anything that Positive Grid released. I have yet to be disappointed.

Jamup pro. Far away the best app for home studio, live session, practice tool and more. My gear: Jamup pro, focusrite iTrack dock Ibanez guitar, Fender Supersonic, Boss, Korg and other one. Electronic musician, live music player, gear hobbyist...

Best pedal models. This app is awesome. I have been so impressed by it that i bought every package they had for guitar and am ditching my analog pedals.

Haven't turned on my amps to Practice since I got it , GREAT!!!!. Wicked app .

FIX THE CUSTOM BACKGROUND!!!. Yesterday day before I updated the app, I still had my custom backgrounds. But when I updated it today the custom backgrounds disappeared. Please fix. I've tried deleting the amp and reloaded it into jamup and it still wasn't there. Please fix ASAP.

The best.... It is very good, the best i ve tried ...but I would like more models of preamp for any situations... My aks sounds amazing, don't need aks sim, amp... Just a tube preamp to go direct... Compressors are not good... All the rest is simple the best thing out there...

Confused customer!. I purchased JamUp Pro and a ton of amp and effects models. I have my presets all setup and loved the way it functions. However, I just bought a new iPad Pro and now it won’t let me use the JamUp Pro plugin with GarageBand. I get the warning “App not available. Inter app audio app you have selected is not available at this time.” How do I fix this and get my JamUp Pro plugin working with GarageBand again? I purchased JamUp Pro and all of the existing amps and effects for nearly $100. Now the app won’t even work as a plugin. I’ve been forced to pay all that money again for standard JamUp and its amps/pedals. So I spent nearly $100 and hundreds of hours perfecting my personal presets, only to have the app self destruct. I’d been hoping that it was simply a bug that’d be soon fixed but it’s been non-functioning for several months now. Ultra I am interested in purchasing Bias FX but this current problem has me hesitating. JamUp Pro has been my absolute favourite. The app is superb. I’m a frustrated that I had to buy it all a second time, using the same Apple account. Any refund options for the nearly $100 off faulty software ?

Save money on expensive pedals!. Every time I go to guitar shops and see those expensive pedals makes me think Jamup saved me a lot of money. Great job Jamup!

Great App. Great app for the practicing guitar player. I am using the Griffin Guitar Cable I bought on eBay because the JamUp Adapter is not avalible where I am. This app rocks, the amplifier models are great and really do add alot of depth and choice in sound. The effects... and theres alot of them, are bang on. There are a few hard to find effects on the market in retail stores and they are expensive, but JamUp has them. The only problem I can find with it is that when I Jam along to my music; slowing or speeding the track up causes pops and crackles in the playback. Although its annoying at times, it is still usable but needs to be fixed. That is the only reason I gave it 4 Stars.

Best of them all!. Better than Amplitude

Doesn’t work. Hi I tried to open the app and don’t running

Clunky. Wildly inconsistent when it comes to MIDI implementation. The user menus are circa 2008: ugly. Can't customize MIDI CC commands, locked out of most nuanced controls. Compare to other apps (like ToneStack) for MIDI detail.

Great and affordable. Sounds awesome, only used to write on the road so far but i love it. Combined with a boss micro br you have a deadly demo studio for under 500$ takes a lot of tone testing like axe fx but sounds almost as good if your a tweaker.

I like it !. Had problems with latency in Amplitube . Jamup Pro sounds better, and no latency.Using with an iRig Pro and ipod 5th gen.

Fantastic App.. Great app. Easy to use, has a jam tab for practicing your favorite song and the amps sound great. As a college musician looking to downsize my collection I was very pleased to find an amp that can meet the same needs for $10 where a rack mounted processing unit would been 60 times the price.

So flexible, great sound, such fun.. I can't say enough good things about this app, and this company. Great support, great community engagement, and their product management is killing it. Worth every penny (and I've gone on and bought lots of the effects too!)

Best Guitar App. The tone achieved from this app is amazing! I just purchased JamUp and BIAS from Positive Grid and couldn't be happier; looking forward to more effects soon. I'm using a Line 6 Sonic Port to connect my guitar and haven't had any problems.

Absolutely the best.. Without a doubt, the best sounding guitar simulator on the app store. Not only that but it is so easy to work with.

Works. Exceptional app. Easy to use and has everything you need to record guitars - if you're willing to shell out an extra $10 for each bundle. The headphone jack peripheral that they advertise for $19 is garbage, you'll need a lightning connector to get the most out of this app. Don't waste your time with the cheaper connectivity kits. Would be 5 stars without the unethical 'in app purchase' design.

Not launching in IOS14. Is there going to be a fix for IOS14? Please let me know if broken for more than a short time so I can move to another Ap.

The Best Sounding Amp App!!!. I use Jamup Pro for a few things. I use it for recording(on iPhone/iPad/iMac). I also use it live. The amp sounds are awesome! It integrates beautifully with GarageBand and the Bias Amp app. I use the same interface(iRig HD) for both recording and live. When using it live, I run the audio output from the iPhone to a tube amp. When I run it to the effects loop of the tube amp, it bypasses the preamp section, and uses only the tube output and speakers of the tube amp. I also turn off the cab sim since the signal is now going through real speakers. I've used this setup with a variety of different amps and it sounds amazing through all of them.

Amazing. Best amp/pedal sim ever created!

Good app. Good app mai il ne marche plus bien depuis la mise à jours iOS le son coupe avec le iPhone svp une mise à jours pour réparer ça merci

Load Song, Loop Song, Rate App. malfunction. Using an up-to-date iPhone 5S, through a JamUp plug, my JamUp Pro XT has been a problem and does not function as it should, as advertised. With the iPhone set to show only music on the iPhone and the automatic update button activated, the Load Song function is worthless. First, the little window opens, asking if I want to rate the app. None of the rating options work, but the window goes away when I tap it. When I tap the Load Song button, my music, that is definitely on the iPhone, is displayed. When I tap a song to play, about 80% of the songs display a "The song is in the cloud or still downloading. Please try again later" message. With no Load Song option, there is no Loop Song option. I have reloaded the App., had email conversations with the company, have been told for three weeks that this is a problem and that an update is on it's way, but no fix yet. JamUp Pro XT is not functioning as advertised.

Jamup. The best app for iOS. I am amazed at the not only the quality of the amp emulations . Bogner, Marshall, Boogie, Fender, Peavy, what else do you need? but also the effects .Jamup effects are very similar to the genuine article . The tape delay, room reverb, flanger, spring reverb are standouts. The jam along and recording ability is nice too, however, not as advanced as other apps . but overall I prefer the higher quality tones and realistic tube amp feel. Of Jamup and use it exclusively now . I even use it for effects in my "real" amp setup. Wet/dry rig . THD BiValve dry- amp line out to the Jamup enabled iPhone, - to the 2nd clean amp . Stupendouly huge, high quality sound. I think I need to try the Griffin stomp too . I may not even use my stomp boxes anymore ?

Not happy. It's ok if you just want to jam but none of the other stuff works well at all. Like your supposed to be able to jam with stuff in you iPhones library and I can't get a single one to work or load. I keep getting a protected message so that feature is a bust. And you can't import songs from Dropbox either. Like for example I'm in a band and we put current things in Dropbox and I went on a trip and wanted to work on leads to the songs i couldn't load them in at all in the jam section or the recorder section making it useless. So the only thing I've been able to do is jam freely which is good for warming up at a gig but the whole purpose of going this route was to stream my travel setup down so I wouldn't have to lug a laptop or interface and use it all thru my iPhone or iPad but none of the creatures let you do anything so I can't see spending anymore money on it unless those things are fixed. But it does sound really good, and if all the features worked like they were supposed to then it would be knocking it out of the park.

Pretty nifty. This app is better than amplitube in my opinion. The tones are better and the interface and option are much better than Amplitube. Offers more effect availability in the chain than Amplitude, too ( Amplitube only offers three effect available in the chain). I run this app through a Fender Champion 600 amp and after a bit of tweeking it works like a charm. One issue i have noticed is being able to run multiple effects from one category ( want to run a Phaser and a Wah or Tembolo ... can't seem to do it) even though the app states that it can be done. Once I figure this out I will give it 5 stars. Also, the support/help section gives little to no direction or instructions.

Smooth effects. I play a telecaster and let me tell you every effect you can imagine you can get out of this app. Nice bluesy solo tones and great overdrive. I also really like the shared sounds where you can down load someone else's presets. Anyways this is a must have for any guitarist who doesn't live by himself or herself and gets yelled at for playing to loud. Also download BIAS as we'll it has great soft tube amp like sounds that can be put into jam up. Only thing I would ask is can we get a Wampler Ego compressor for country players like myself that would really put the icing on the cake!!! Thank you positive grid keep up the good work!!!

The Only usable tones on iOS. Positive Grid have outdone themselves with the development of this app. I originally intended to purchase Amplitube, but after weighing the reviews between the two apps, JamUp was the hands down winner. I've played with free versions of Amplitube and I own Garage Band; both are fine for practice. JamUp stands apart in that I'm confident in using these tones in a live environment. The company is also very good at engaging their users. They are quick to answer questions, help troubleshoot, and respond to user suggestions on their Facebook page. Buy this app, and don't forget about the expansion packs. The latest updates makes improvements for using JamUp in a live situation. Midi cc allows for toggling individual stomp boxes within a preset as well as tap temp (which also now syncs delays), and wah control.

Absolutely outstanding sound quality & options. This app really blew me away with how superior it is in sound quality to GarageBand (at least for guitar). You can absolutely spend just 20 bucks on the pro pack and have a full arsenal of amps and essential effects that would cost 1000's of dollars for the real thing. Additional amps and effects are reasonably priced (mostly 3-5 dollars, or cheaper in bundles). I recommend pairing this through AudioBus (paid app) using GarageBand or another multi-track recorder and you have portable studio ready to go. This app may save me from constantly buying new guitar equipment, b/c the options in here are cheap and sound almost identical!

Must Buy App for Guitarists/Bassists, Especially Metalheads!. The absolute best app for guitar and bass there is on the App Store. Every amp I've used is spot on, you can modify every possible setting to get the exact tone you've been looking for on an iOS device. Customer service is, without question, some of the best I've ever come across. Had an issue with my JamUp plug, contacted Calvin at Positive Grid customer support and within a day, said issue was resolved. I was treated with professionalism, courtesy and walked away with the sense that Positive Grid is truly driven by customer satisfaction. Not buying and utilizing this fantastic app would without a doubt be one of the biggest mistakes you could make as a musician using an iOS device!

Inspirational!. I am so pleased with the Jamup Pro product because It does exactly what I had hoped it would do from the outset...SOUND GREAT! I am at the early part of playing around with it, but I have been so impressed that I purchased each of the 3 add on bundles of amps and effects. I can really see the benefit of this for new players as you can load in a song you want to learn from your iTunes and you play along. When I have had a question, the company has been extremely responsive to my emails, often within 12-24 hours. I follow Q&A on the Positive Grid Facebook page, which is helpful too. Hopefully, the company will set up a user forum with threaded discussions. I brought a guitar on vacation, and with my Apogee jam, my iPad and the JamupPro App, I haven't missed a beat. Highly recommended.

Best amp sim app in store. I own AmpKit and Amplitube, both of which are good apps overall. I took a chance on this app, and I think it is above and beyond the others. You get plenty of tones with the starter pack, but I enjoyed them enough to get a couple of the expansions. Overall, JamUp is a great app with great feature and a ton of tonal abilities. High gain sounds are always the hardest to get sounding good and authentic, but JamUp does much better than the other apps IMO. Plus, the jam along iTunes import function is so easy to use and smooth with no errors so far, making this a great practice app. Overall, I highly recommend this for any guitarist looking for a full-featured guitar app on iOS.

Best Amp Sim for iOS!. Amazing tones for any genre. So much fun to jam with the phrase and jam player. I've tried all the other amp sims for iPad and while some are better than others, this one is in a totally different league! Did I mention that the tones you can get out of this are amazing? From silky smooth overdrives to blistering metal to atmospheric acoustic tones....it's all here. And anyone that complains about having to buy more equipment via in app purchase should look at how expensive hardware equivalent multieffects would be. I hope the devs will add a more featured metronome and more amps and effects in future. That's the beauty of a software based solution. It can always be upgraded or expanded. Bottom line: 10 out of 10 - highly recommended for anyone playing guitar or bass.

Simply Irresistable!. I don't know where to start... This app is simply the best guitar processor I've ever played through! I've never been able to create so many awesome tones on any other device and with such ease. From Jazz, Country, Country Rock, Traditional Rock, Punk, Fusion, Metal and on and on and on! Heck with downloading other people's tones, which I have to say is so cool, but experiment and sit back and listen to your guitar sing so well like it never has before! I'm taking this unit live! Can't wait till the end of some gig and someone asks me how I get all my incredible tones, and as I show them my iPhone and smile...

Better than the others. It's WAY better than the mess that IK Multimedia has released (pop up ads when opening the app…really IK???), and it sounds way better than all the others. A few things I'd love to see: 1) Any effect anywhere I'd like in the chain. Right now you can only have one of each effect "type" in each slot. I'd love to be able to use both a REVERSE effect and a DELAY effect at the same time, but right now I can only choose one or the other. This could be WAY more flexible. 2) Some Bass heads…or at least a nice DI Box "head." 3) I think there's a typo in the Vibrato effect. Says Vibrato when it's selected, but the small icon says VIBROTO. Oops? 4) Delay Sync to tempo. IK and Garageband can do this, should be easy to implement, I would think. Even with this list, it's a great app, and it's far better than the other options out there. Do not hesitate on this purchase.

Jamup the volume and it's a pure win!. I have amplitude and GarageBand and both give me issues with feedback that makes it unbearable to play through. I used my rocksmith cable with the camera adapter for this app and it worked so no need to buy yet another adapter although I may give apogee a try or spring for a iodoc. This app was easy to use, easy to set up your rig, amp models and effects were as true as you could ask for, my only gripe is the low volume and the price tag. I say that because with amplitude you can record up to 8 tracks for roughly the same cost as jamup. Haven't tried the jam along feature or hooking into any stereo yet, but that's coming for sure. In any case, this is way better than GarageBand, and a leg up from amplitude in terms of sound and ease of use. Its great for what its meant to do which is to jam at home or at small gigs. Worth the buy IMO.

Awesome and terrible. Amp and effect sounds are great. Update before last ruined the BIAS integration, but they've sorted that out. I had auto update on and that screwed me so DO NOT USE AUTOUPDATE if you plan to use this for anything more than bedroom jamming. If you want it to work when you need to work, make sure the update has favorable reviews and no bugs before downloading. They immediately knew the issues after posting that particular update and had a new version ready to go, but Apple doesn't work that fast so I was dead in the water for a few days. The 8 track recorder half works, app just crashes when you try to export anything you've done and I've had several songs just disappear on me. Infuriating to say the least. I wish I could buy stock in Positive Grid because they've really got something special. I'm using the Line 6 sonic port running output to a PA with great results. I have played most of the offerings and own a few of them. I'm floored by not only how it sounds, but the feel of the amps is incredible. Works with both solid and hollow body guitars.

Awesome app. I love this app, I just bought it on sale. I already was using the free version and had purchased the bass amps in app. Be aware that in app purchases on the free version do not transfer to the pro version, the App Store considers them 2 separate programs(not positive grid's fault, it's just how the App Store works), so if you have models you have purchased on the free one and want the essentials pack, which is the same as jam up pro xt, then do it through the iap in the free version, otherwise your purchases will be in separate apps. The developer was very responsive to my email and took care of me to remedy this, which was awesome for him to do, but following what I stated above will avoid that situation. So how does it sound? Great. I use this with the griffin connect cable to practice bass and learn songs at gigs, as well as to warm up. The jam player is great for this. You won't be sorry for purchasing this app, it is very good and has great support and development.

Expensive, not as good as the competition and noisy. Despite utilizing either the Alesis IO Dock2 or the Behringer iStudio with a well built ESP guitar, active pickups and rather expensive cables...the sound quality is always meh. In fact, dare I say has much more feedback and noise processing through it than either Amplitube or Ampkit using the first IKmedia iRig(which was feedback hell$ and the metal expansion packs all sound incredibly muddy no matter how i adjust the "knobs" and effects chain....and i am by no means a novice in this field. The IAPs are rather expensive, which seems to be a norm with a lot of these guitar apps. However the quality and overall amount of effects makes it a tad more pricey than amplitube. Sure it will not cost the price of a new tube amp, a multi processor amp simulator by Boss but for the quality of the peddles, they are no where near as tonality superior as Ampkit. Sadly though, Ampkit does not support dock interfaces. After dropping some money on this app hoping it would get better after i bought most of the different amps....still sounds bad. Wish i could be refunded on this.

Fantastic sounds and great UI. I've tried them all. JamUp Pro is the closest to the real thing I've heard yet. They also did a great job picking a set of really wonderful amps and effects. Odd that we're using this modern digital technology to simulate tube amps built many years ago. AmpKit+ has a lot of great sounds too, and different speaker combinations. AmpliTube is great too - but doesn't work with Apogee Jam. That resulted in it being deleted from my devices as the Jam is super quiet. no feedback, doesn't get in the way of the headphone jack, and doesn't have the 200Hz high-pass filter. JamUp has the most realistic sounds though, and a wide range of flexibility. If you want tone, Jam with JamUp is the best choice. The UI is also very easy to use. This is important when you're trying to use your phone in live situations - something I done quite a few times. Would love to see an OS X version of this app with AU and/or VST plugin support.

Absolutely amazing! Thanks Positive Grid!!. This is without a doubt my favorite new app. I've been playing for a lot of years and played a variety of amps and pedal effects and this app has managed to consolidate a lot of great effects and amps into one at a fraction of the cost. You can swap in & out the different amps and effects on the fly and hear the changes instantly. I know I've just scratched the surface of what this app is capable of but I found a toy that I can spend hours upon hours practicing new licks and songs on. Being able to load songs from iTunes and slow it down to learn a lick is priceless. The 5153 amp is awesome. Great job on this app guys. Keep rockin!

Holy pricey redundant expansion packs and broken sales, batman. Seems like it has potential, but most of the app is locked up in expensive expansion packs after you buy the initial app. The packs themselves are very small, and often disappointingly redundant to the ones I've gotten so far. When I bought this, I was hoping to get an actual effect-chain designer instead of a pile of signature series presets named after people I don't care about that all sound the same. Need an open-ended effect designer rather than having to buy expensive pedals that don't have much control, you should be able to change settings on your reverb, double up on them, instead of having 15 'different' reverb pedals that are hyper-limited so you have to buy them all individually to have a range similar to one vst reverb. It also doesn't often work output to anything other than headphones most of the time, no settings seem to fix that. Same on their Bias app. Hoping for update remedies to this in the future since I've already put about 50 bucks into these apps, it is very buggy and I still feel very limited with most of the content hidden behind IAPs. It rarely gets used in my recordings.

This is the one to get!. Patiently awaited the pro version of this app and it didn't disappoint. I tried the lite versions of the other apps like amp kit and amplitube but wasn't feeling the vibe enough to go with the full versions. Also since I own an irig the feedback on ampkit made it unusable. Happy to say jamup pro is completely compatible with irig with no feedback on the full gain amps. The interface is super easy with a drag and drop intuitive way of adding pedals and amps, as well as changing the order. Plenty of effects that pay tribute to the originals. The dubbing is simple and quick...lay a rhythm track and Dub a lead for a no nonsense indication of a work in progress. There is a question I have on whenever I quit the app there is a red line that says recording in progress even though I quit the recording. So please fix that. Otherwise great start at 1.0. Please keep the updates coming, I don't have a wish list yet but I'm sure other reviewers will add some feedback. Good luck! Robonater

Excellent tone, bass amps AND AudioBus. Just thought I'd update my review to the latest version. This app is still killer and even better than before with Bias-Amps integration; amazing. I bought JamUp when it first came out and rated it 4 stars then. With the bass expansion pack, the ever expanding amp and pedal choices, and now AudioBus, there's no reason for the iOS musician to use any other guitar app. Now I can punch in on that guitar track in MultiTrack DAW instead of having to do the whole thing over. Seriously, the AudioBus experience with JamUp and MultiTrack DAW is flawless so far. I should add that I'm using an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4S and only tracking one instrument at a time. It's a great solution for the home solo recordist working on iOS. To my ear, it's the best sounding guitar app out there. There is a depth and clarity to the tone that the others aren't able to match. The tone of my guitars doesn't get lost in the digital overdrive, if you know what I mean. What are you waiting for? Just get it already. So, they just added an 8-track recorder, so this 5 star review is even better than the last. Killer app.

Sweet. Sort wasn't sure if I should get this or not. The free version doesn't do it justice but I'm glad I did. Great amps and fx, no lag. Noise filter works really well cuts out the noise with very little tone loss. Got the metal pack but after playing with it found out you don't need it to get it to get a killer metal tone. Maybe the dev should let you be able to demo amps and fx before buying them. Would love to see better recording features, maybe a 4 track or more of an easy to use sample interface. It does copy and let me paste into Garage Band and Multitrack DAW easily though, click track is a little strange but works well enough. It does lock up every once an awhile but only when I'm customizing presets. Rock n' Roll \m/

Flawless with bias (well almost). Works really well and sounds warm and convincing. However looses points for tech support always giving the same answers and being impersonal. Also the pitch shifter pedals are terrible. Can't even play chords. Whats the point then? I can play a single note higher without any hassle. Think they use note tracking instead of frequency shifting. They glitch and sound like crap but other than that everything is flawless. Also the latency could be better, I got an iPhone 6s. Wish these guys would catch up to (yonac)tonestack. Tonestack still smokes everyone else for clarity and almost zero latency, they have a 64 buffer option as well as processing quality. Come on positive grid you can do better. Stop resting on your laurels Honestly just get tonestack. Its the best one. I've tried them all and jamuo/bias is 2nd best out there but Tonestack is #1 the most versatile for experienced users. Just buy tonestack first. I will say bias/jamup get points for warmth tho. Very very warm sounding which is a plus. Give us better pitch shift algorithms and 64 buffer latency and its a 5 star easy.

Pro XT Will Erase Presets. I upgraded to JamUp Pro XT and it erased my factory presets that I had edited in the previous version. I have emailed support 3 times and no answer from them and it's been about 4 weeks. I gave this app a good review a few months ago. It's a great app, but I'm posting this review as a warning for those who are thinking of upgrading to Pro XT. You might want to write down your preset settings before doing so. I'm losing my patients with their support because there is no warning about it nor have they replied to my emails. Also in Pro XT, saving your presets in their new banks is different as well and there are no instructions on how to do this. I had to figure it out and lost a few presets which I had to go back and re-edit from memory. To save, hold down on the preset button until save window appears. In the previous version you slide up with your finger on the button. Some new instruction would have been helpful Postive Grid. Thanks!

iPhone Jamming A Blast. Wow! Sound quality is a cut above everything else I have heard for IOS (Amplitube, Ampkit, Ishred, GarageBand, etc.). While the other amp simulation programs are quite good for different applications, none can compare to the sheer authentic sound quality of this Jamup App. In a nutshell, for less than $20 you get true amp simulation on your IPhone that compares well against pro gear. Seriously, sitting down to jam with your IPhone is a real pleasure with Jamup. You get more than just the vibe of a Marshall or Fender amp. The app responds almost like the real thing when played! Effects are equally strong and the additional features are just icing on the cake. Bottom line- Feels like Ampfarm on your IPhone. Honestly, for serious jamming with your IPhone or iPad this app is the flat out king in my book. Once you fire it up you will immediately wonder why you were fiddling around with anything else before.

Jam Up Pro Rocks. I have Amplitube with all the options, as well as Ampkit+ and GarageBand, and while each has its pluses and minuses - more often than not I reach for Jam Up Pro. I'm a gear junkie in the real world, and I'm quite fond of the amp and effect models in Jam Up - the sound quality is excellent. The app may not have all the bells and whistles that a fully loaded Amplitube has, but its rock solid and far less finicky than the latter. Support is just as important as features in my book, and the single incident where I needed non-technical support left me scratching my head (surprised). I've purchased a considerable amount of software over the years, and I've NEVER had a vendor bend over backward to provide a solution the way Positive Grid did. Buy this app and as many expansion packs as you can - you won't regret it!

Change of Heart. PG is now part of my rig and always will be!. PG is amazing. Get JamUp Pro, Bias Amp, all the Bias Amp Packs and Bias FX. Don't buy JamUp free(red) in app upgrades. Try JamUp free red and if you like it remove it and get JamUp Pro, Bias Amp, All the Amp packs, all the effects you like and if you record and or plan to make PG part of your live rig then get Bias FX also. Bias FX Factory sounds are awful so go strait to Tone Cloud. My personal fave is Queensryche but SRV and Jimmy Hendrix are great to. I have made PG part of my live rig and liquidated my Line 6 junk because Positive Grid smokes them! I am using a Griffin Dock but might try Behringers also. Use a dock. iPad is a powerful tool when you use Bias.

Best of the Bunch. I own all of the major guitar processing apps but this is the only one that I go to on a regular basis. Plug in, set your amp, pedals, arrange them accordingly, go to 8-track and your off recording. No annoying feedback and high noise through the mini-plug. Works great with Audiobus into Auria. Also, if your a bass player, this is a must have! Great models....and more just came out! The phrase trainer, sampler, storing pre-sets, and the 8-track recorder....well worth the price of admission. All very intuitive and easy for the novice. No instruction manual for the 8-track, but mostly easy to figure out. Wasted my money on Amplitube! Get this....now!!!

Amazing. I'm a 25-year player with, modesty aside, a great ear for tone, and the sound this app achieves is jaw-dropping. I honestly picked this up as a practice tool only, but after running through the options available, I see no reason I couldn't record or play live using these sounds. Impossible to tell the difference from a real amp or physical modeler. $10 for the base app is well worth it, and even if you sprung for the full package of in-app purchases, you'd only be out $100, and there is no way you could buy all the physical equipment this app models for such a paltry price. This is a must-own for all guitar players - period.

Freakin Awesome!. This is the first time I have ever written a review for an app. I am completely amazed by the features that this little thing packs. The tones you can generate with this thing are endless. The portability and versatility of this little gem make it a no-brainer to purchase. Just a few years ago you could easily spend hundreds of dollars to get a product with these kinds of features with a much bulkier form factor. I use this in conjunction with my Line 6 Sonic Port and it works beautifully. A++++. If you don't have it, buy it now.

Pretty Fantastic. This is the first and only software based amp simulator I've tried - after reading the reviews, JamUp was the only one without a number of negative reviews- so I tried it. The free version is a pretty good preview of what you can expect if you upgrade - I now have the majority of the expansions. The alternatives might be fine - and there are more of them all the time - but I pair this with Apogee Jam and get a great variety of tones. A well thought out interface for amps and effects. The expansions get pricey from an app standpoint, but they are as advertised, and I get my money's worth out of them - I would buy them all again. The sharing feature is cool and useful, but I'd like to see a little more curation (and activity).

Well done!. First things first...ain't no digital tone generator gonna replace my Fulltone pedals and my Fender Champ but hands down the most hours of fun I've had playing guitar in years! Im using this with my iPhone 4 btw...all the different amps, effects, signal chain options and the fact you can play over a recorded rhythm or import a song from iTunes and manipulate it is great. I have no plans to record with this app or use it for any live application but for early morning/late night jamming with headphones it's hard to beat. I've spent over $100 on both AmpKit+ and Amplitude. Right out of the box this app sounded more dynamic and natural. It feels like guitar players designed this app with the sounds, set up, and ease of it all. Well done!

Perhaps the most realistic amp modeling I've heard or felt. I've been a user and a proponent of amp modeling since the early Line 6 days. Even though playing through a modeled amp (and later a plug in on my Mac) lacked a certain amount of realism in the feel department, there was something to be said for the convenience. I don't wanna come out with some grandiose, 'STOP THE PRESSES' or anything but I am awestruck both at how good playing through this app sounds AND feels. I'm seriously considering trying JamUp on a gig, in place of my custom modified Marshall/Boogie setup. That's the best testament I can think of for an amp sim.....

Best choice. I am a casual guitarist and use this program often. It works perfectly for me. The sound is awesome. I also have the jamup plug. I have a iPad 2 wifi using ios 6.01 I did a lot of research and checked out free versions of many choices for guitar amp apps. I liked the interface, features and sound of this one the best. Update: Audiobus - Having a lot of fun using this as a effect for other apps. Creating cool sounds and pushing it into other apps with great ease. Now this program is no longer just a guitar effects program and now a effect for everything on audiobus.

Great for bedroom playing / writing. JamUp Pro comes with the same basic features, and offers a number of in-app purchases (of which I recommend expanding to 8 tracks of recording and the orange OR30 amp). It's easy to use, very customizable, and allows you to play virtually anywhere. I bring it on tour to practice, use it to write in my apartment. It will slow down songs in you music library to help you learn your favorite songs, has a looping function, and up to 8 tracks of recording. It's no substitute for a real studio, but it's a great tool.

Better than most anything on the market. This app is simply incredible. The tones you can craft rival axe fx and for the price, there is no comparisson. Worth every cent. My band is recording our stuff with this and the tones sound phenomenal, we sound very produced and the recording quality is comparable to a lot of bigger studios, and the recordings havent even been mixed yet! This app plus Bias, another Positive Grid app, and youve got thousands of dollars worth of gear for less than a hundred bucks, if you include all the packs for JamUp and the adapter. I cant say enough good things about this app, its just awesome. Buy it right now. Do it.

Not as advertised if u want to use this with guitar amp. My initial rating was two stars....Lots of good features with this app, but there is no way to currently use this as an effects unit with your guitar amp because there is no way to turn off the on board mic of the iPad and all u get is feedback regardless of how u configure the pedals ( even without using amp mods).... I would think this can be remedied by a simple update since garage band proves this can be done. I purchased the griffin technologies 4 channel foot pedal controller with the hopes I could use this with my amp, hopefully it will come soon! Otherwise, the tones, effects, graphics and user friendly layout makes this a great app for use in direct line recording or practicing with headphones... The ONLY other suggestion I can think of would be to find a way for keeping songs downloaded for practice from being affected by gain and distortion settings of the guitar effects. Update: finally the app updated so it can be used in my effects loop of my live rig...sounds great!

Wow! Totally Rocks. I just stumbled across this while getting ready to buy another AmpKit app. I did not do it. I started playing through the free app and was sold instantly. I upgraded to the full app. Honestly the sound and the sampler sold me. I have been playing for over 25 years and tried all kinds of gadgets and gizmos. This one really hooked me right away. The sound is crisp and clean with great effects. It works great with my iRig outputting to my little red Jambox. This is perfect for my late night jams in bed so I don't tick off the neighbors. I'm not easily impressed. I am tonight.

Awesome App & Great for Recording & Live Shows. The effects and amp modeling are outstanding on this app. Positive Grid has really risen to the challenge because it's not just the effects but the ultra-low latency when switching from preset to preset or when engaging/disengaging pedals. No sound delay at all. To do this with traditional multi-effects stomp pedal units you are talking big bucks (and they are still not as intuitive or flexible as JamUp Pro). JamUp let's you dynamically move your effect pedals Pre and Post the amp you've chosen for the sound you want to create. The amps and pedals themselves are incredibly inexpensive--and they sound great. For years I played through a 120 Watt JC-120 Amp. Positive Grid nailed it! Marshall, Fender amps and much, much more. The sound is authentic. The problem with these apps has always been that there's no way to take your sound live. That's when I picked up the Griffin Stompbox--which is really what has made this whole investment worth while. I've played for years and have always looked for opportunities to expand my capabilities while down-sizing the amount of gear I need to tote around--Positive Grid has done that for me for both guitar and bass. Get this app, the Stompbox by Griffin and you will be HAPPY.

Excellent tool for learning songs. I am very pleased with this app overall. There are a few issues. In Jam mode it doesn't play both of the stereo tracks. You can barely hear the other track. It doesn't help you if the guitar track you need to learn is in the "silent" track. I emailed the developer and received a prompt reply confirming this is an issue and that it will be fixed in a future update. I wish the Dub function had a setting for a 4-beat option. When you press Dub, the base recording starts immediately. You can set a 4-beat option for the base recording so I don't understand why it doesn't offer this in the Dub mode. The amps and FX are decent. I don't have ampltube or any other similar amp so i cant rate the amps and FX in comparison to other apps.

Best sounding and feeling amp modeler - hands down!. I own/have AmpKit+, AmpliTube/Fender/Slash, Mobile POD, & PocketAmp. Until I got JamUp Pro XT, Peavey's AmpKit+ was my favorite guitar amp modeler, but that changed when I got JamUp Pro XT. To me, this app just sounds and feels so much more natural and warmer. The addition of the looper/Sampler was just icing on the cake. The other really cool thing that I am digging about this app is the built in Share feature that allows you to open up patches that other users (some of them professional guitarists) right inside of the app. The benefit of this is that you can actually hear what the patches sound like before you download or store them into one of the 48 User Preset slots. I am using a Line 6 Mobile In and it sounds the best - I also have the Peavey AmpKit Link and the iRig. I also bought all of the extra bundles - except for the bass one. Check this app out!!! You won't regret it!

The Only Multi FX Processor & Amp Sim You Need. Everybody likes to save time and money, right? Well do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or money on any of the other guitar and amp fx apps in the store. Just go ahead and buy JamUp Pro. Then go buy all of the in app purchases because they are actually worth it. I rarely ever buy IAP, but I have bought every available one for JUP, even the bass heads, cabs, and fx, and I don't even play bass. But I do play synths like Animoog and iMini, which sound wonderful played through a Gallien-Krueger amp in the AudioBus effects slot, then out through my JBL Eon 400 watt loudspeaker. Even my acoustic guitar sounds great through some of the bass amps. So for approx $50 I've got everything I need to shape my tone for my different needs, moods, and instruments. Great job PositiveGrid! You guys rock, keep it up!! DanDecker - restore your updates from the inside store.

Awesome for jamming. The best sounding amp modeling app in the iOS store. I really get a lot of use out of it this app, I haven't had any issues with the knobs though I'm using it on an ipad so I can imagine it could be frustrating on an iPhone. FOR 10 dollars its a very sweet deal. especially if you need a great jam app, you can't go wrong. you are getting the whole package with a loop station with the ability to create your own multi layered riffs. A jam station that lets you play along to any song and slow it down and keep the pitch correct to enable you to learn how to play it by ear. The amp modeling is some of the best available on iOS. It's a 5 star app with a great user community that lets all of us share the presets of the amps and pedals that we find sound the best. Of course u can further tweak anybody's preset that you download. In conclusion this is a great app that does a lot and really delivers allowing you to play guitar as Metal or Clean as you want anywhere you can take your guitar. \m/

JamUp. I have GarageBand and AmplitudeLe. JamUp is a lot easier to use the then Amplitude. Took only a few minutes of messing around and I completely had a recorded music and was able to export. It is just a guitar amp basically 1 line in. The preset are easier to use and sound really good. I loved the free version so I had to buy the Pro Version. Amazing sounds and tones. It has alot of popular pedals and amps. This is a great amp mod. I love it I use it everyday. You must buy this its well worth investing the 20 bucks instead of spending hundreds on pedals for the same sound.

Thrilled with Jamup Pro, best of the breed. Jamup was the first amp modeler for the iPhone that I tried quite honestly because their adapter was the cheapest. As soon as I tried it I was blown away by how good it sounded. I immediately bought the pro version and never regretted it one bit. I got two addon packs when they came out as well. I even sold my Marshall jubilee combo amp and replaced it with Jamup. I have been playing off and on again for 25 years and this app made it fun to play again. So many of the amps and effects are killer. Even the amps I don't like sound just like the real amps I don't like for the same reasons! I then went and tried the other amp apps and there is no competition, I couldn't stand how any of them sounded. I didn't try ampkit because of the unique adapter and it only came with peavy amps which I hate. I didn't even know there were feedback problems with the others since Jamup has never had anything of the sort. Support has been very responsive to questions. I cannot recommend this app enough.

Anyone who plays Guitar or Bass is a fool not to get this... This is a great interface. Easy to use from the get go. I had an issue with the recording/transfer process and emailed the developers. Worked with Calvin for about an hour total. I was so impressed with the support. Now that I have passed that little bump, its time to start delving into the depth of this and see what I can do.. This is the most expensive app I have ever bought, and it was well worth the money. I have a Fender GDEC30 that I use at home and this is a great companion to it when I can't take it with me. I hope that there will be some other pedals and racks to choose some.

Used to be great and still is, but something's broken.. Crashes upon launch on iOS 6.1.3/iPad 3. Runs fine on iOS 7.1.2/iPhone 4S. I'm assuming something in this most recent update is at odds with iOS 6. As for the app itself, it's an incredible value. Sounds are authentic and really good. Super easy to configure. I love how things in the FX chain can be temporarily disabled without having to completely remove and re-add them later. Expansion packs are worthwhile and also offer a lot of value. I have every expansion pack except the gurus and bass packs. Would be nice to get some credit applied toward the purchase of the All Access Pack, since this is what I'm aiming for.

Worthy of 5 Stars. This is hands down the best guitar amp modeler on iOS. All of the amps sound great and unique and it's really easy to dial in a good tone quickly. It has a great variety of effects and the recent update now allows multiple instances if the same type of effect. The sampler is perfect for jamming and saving riff/song ideas and I can send them directly to soundcloud from the app to share with my band mates. Another great thing is that it's a universal app so you only have to buy additional amps/fx once if you want to use on iPad too! Get it!

Theres a reason this always gets 4/5 stars. I've tried the woeful ishred, the better sounding Amplitube, and the pedestrian amps in GarageBand. Though I still use GarageBand for its full feature set, NO ONE should ever use another app to model amps on iOS. In fact the other companies should give up and pay positivegrid licensing fees to use their amp modeling software :) It is beautiful. Clean, distorted, driven, delayed, whatever... It's your best option on iOS. And the company is committed to updating and adding more value for users. This is the KILLER app for any guitarist whether they are a hobbyist or a pro musician. On one practical note, using iRig, I was getting a lot of noise from the other amp software even with NG on. With Jamup, the noise pretty much disappeared. Even without NG, jamup sounds less noisy than other apps. Not sure if that helps anyone else but just an FYI
