Dark interface during the day. Why does the map turn dark in the middle of the day

Purchased 2 of these items. Downloaded the software and can’t find information in English.. Can not use unless I can see the information in English. HELP!!!!!

百度地图review. It is a good app. It could be used in the United States. All streets in my neighborhood are clearly marked. It would be nicer if there were less commercials.

Beidu Map is outstanding - accurate, reliable, & informative!. As visitors we often need guidance regarding direction, distance, & best routes. We find Beidu Map very helpful & readily available! Very impressive! We recommend it highly for tourists & citizens alike.

Where’s the English?. Useless for any non-Chinese speakers. More and more people are visiting China from abroad, you need to update the app so foreigners can use it, especially since Google Maps is blocked. Shouldn’t be all too hard...

Clipboard reading. I have uninstalled this app as it read my clipboard automatically. May install it again when they stop it.

User. It good but Need English language ..it only Chinese language..it don’t know Chinese

Inaccurate arrival times, no language options, doesn’t update areas of construction. I rarely ever write bad reviews but this app is so not user-friendly that I was surprised to find such a high rating for it. Since it’s the only map option in China everyone basically has to use it as it knows more than Apple Maps. However, I’ve used this app to call a car multiple times and the map states that the amount of time it’ll take to get there. Almost always it’s 10minutes off and the app itself never seems to get updates on where streets are having construction so there’s no access points on certain places. It also doesn’t have an English language option which isn’t friendly to international users.

It’s good. I use it in Shanghai to find listed locations, check traffic conditions and navigate occasionally. It works well for those things. If you don’t speak/read/type Chinese you’re out of luck with this app.

Download to give it a 1 star. Why i have to download the app to just check info in internet while searching? China is being china again barbarism is in their genes

Overall satisfied but some part can be improved. Sometimes the started point and destination are closed but could not point to both to see how far and how long can get to the destination.

No intuitive way to change language. Initial setup seems easy, and the icons seems easy to navigate, there just needs to be more icons and an intuitive way to change the language.

Feedback. The Baidu Maps app is great.

Do you speak or read Chineese?. Not for you if English is your only language. It appears the app will mirror image to reflective two way mirror. Can’t use with Google maps or Waze. Didn’t try it in car as i couldn’t see Safety through it. It’s not a projection only a reflection. Not like how an aircraft HUD display works.

Excellent map. Highly recommended map in Korea and China. It provides navigation turn by turn.

Can’t cancel order. I booked a hotel through this map app and can’t cancel it. It keeps asking me to connect the account to a phone number even though I’ve already did it (as shown in my page). Now I can’t cancel it! That is so frustrating

Language?. Another Chinese APP which says it has english and Chinese interface... simply not true... how come these apps can stay on the store with false information about the app? I have seen this way too often...

Mmm. It looks like this is the best maps app for China, however there is no English localization/ search support, so it’s unusable for non Chinese speakers.

Need English version for tourists. Need English version for foreign tourists. If google maps is going to be blocked; at least have an English language substitute. This app appears to be very useful ; unfortunately, those that do not read Chinese will not be able to use this in any capacity.

Do you speak English?. The description lists English as an option, but I don’t see any symbols that look like a settings menu to change the language to English. They need to fix that!

Better be able to read Chinese. All the instructions are in Chinese. When you open the app there are English names for roads and locations but there are also Chinese characters which makes it difficult to navigate. When I purchased the product there was no reference to being in Chinese. I’m returning it.

No alternative language support. The user interface seems good and I see buttons to interact with other services, but biggest con of this app is there’s no option to switch it to English! I can’t read Chinese, would be nice to have a map alternative to Google or Apple!

Do Not Use if You Don’t Know Chinese. Got the HUD Mobile Navigation Display as a gift. I have to download this app for it to project into the glass screen. Unfortunately, the entire app is in Chinese and I only speak English. I don’t know even know if there is an option for English because it never gives me the option to switch to English when I start the app for the first time and there is no way I can find the app settings because it is all in Chinese. I’m very disappointed.

Quite upset this morning when this map got me wrong again. Time is always too optimistic, route is often wrong

CarPlay Issue. The App is slow to response on CarPlay. The navigation icon on the map hangs frequently, needs more work.... other navigation softwares works just fine.

Excellent for map of china. Offline download is great. especially when my 2g/edge signal get so weak or even nosignal at all I can still find my way around.

As a navigational purpose this app have good algorithm but there must be language settings that can allow foreign people to use it just like google maps or any other maps which helps foreign people to use it well and makes China more popular and places to but if this can’t be done only people who are native or people who know the Chinese language will only download it and apps can’t be like this xD

Mr Operation. Why would you sell this to Apple who just speak English. Why don’t you have an option to switch to English. If y’all don’t come up with an English version you will probably get a class action lawsuit against y’all just like Wish is going thru. So you need to be legit on this app and quit leading English speaking people the wrong way

Where is Baidu map HD?. I used iPad version before, it was nice like google map in full screen. Now it’s only for iPhone version, so hard to see it shrunk to so small screen, stupid, baidu? What is in your mind? No competition in china, because government block google to protect you?!

Make selecting languages easy. Detect devices with non-Chinese language setting and offer language selection when opening

Garbage. The only reason why baidu map is used by billions is because china has banned Google, baidu makes the worst app I have ever used. It is filled with ads, if you try to depend on it to direct you while driving or cycling, the random pop up ads on screen could potentially get you into an accident or lead you off to the wrong direction. Like most of Chinese made phone apps, it lacks a clean easy user interface, navigating it will be harder than most apps. Without a competitor, baidu will continue to treat its large user base like cash cows, BAIDU IS THE WORST software, its search engine is completely useless. Shame on baidu and its employees.

App kept crashing while writing review. It is a fine map in most cases, but when I tried to submit a review and upload some photos, it kept crashing again and again, at least 4 times in a row. How can testers allow this kind of bug exist? And, this map does not provide satellite maps in many places. Even google map who abandoned Chinese market provides better resolution.

Better with English option. This would be great to use if it had an English option! At least in pinyin letters! Even without knowing Chinese characters, I can figure out finding some places. Typing in “McDonald’s” or other famous places will show up in the search, which is helpful!

Useless for foreigners if it doesn't have English translation. As a tourist, it's pretty useless as the whole app is in Chinese and there are no options to translate into English.

Can no longer log in without China mobile number. All my starred restaurants and places are lost because I can’t log in without a Chinese mobile number anymore. Previously, I could just log in with WeChat or QQ, now it asks for mobile authentication, and I don’t have a Chinese mobile number. A real pain.
