Update 5.0 Ruined a great app. They had it. They’d nailed it. Even though this app was way overpriced at $50 PER YEAR, it had some cool features, nice effects, and the element separation wasn’t bad at all. The syncing was rock solid. Then somebody sitting in an office got bored. Now, garbage. BPMs are all over the place, no matter what you have sync type set to. One mix I did started at 112 bpm. By the time the fader was to the other side, the bpm was bouncing around and ended up just under 120 bpm. Imagine that during a set. Even with the key lock on, you could hear the changes. Pretty bad to mess up one of the foundation features of a near perfect app right before the biggest party of the year. Worthless to me now. Unless they fix this, I’m going to let my wasted money run out the subscriptions (I suckered into iOS and Windows) and go back to the tried and true real pro apps while Algo laughs to the bank.

Buggy software. I have yet to get a response for well over a month and several emails to support. Lon go story short, this software is buggy. When I match two beets at the same tempo, the loop starts to slip. I am then forced to used sync, sync then has trouble staying at the tempo as well and starts to scew the sound. This has been going on for well over a month. These are songs I own, not streaming. It made my first set since the pandemic very challenging and you can here the screwing in the recording. Does anyone work for tris company? Can anyone give a response? I’ve sent video, photo, and audio proof. Either that or this is such an issue they haven’t been able to find time to respond. I’ve reinstalled hardware, restarted my devices, tried on a laptop instead of a tablet. All the same issue. Bought my Mixon 4 specifically for this program. Does try the same in my DDJ 200, same with no controller attached. Therefore this is a development issue. This software is supreme otherwise. If they can’t fix that issue it’s basically impossible to do a set. I would hold off purchasing this software until the developer fixes the issue.

Djay pro vs upgrade. I have always loved djay. So much that years ago I bought a lifetime upgrade to djay pro. Now djay pro crashes when I try to do simple things. And there is always a banner at the top that says upgrade for free. To the new version which is subscription based. So my fear is that when I “upgrade for free” I will start being charged for a subscription for something that the developer and I agreed that I had the full version for life because I payed to unlock it when that was the only option to upgrade. That all being said. Dev should either maintain old version of pro to a much higher standard or give a break to the people that have supported them since the beginning and let us upgrade for free for life on all upgrades that WILL be maintained because that was the agreement. I have to give 2 stars because I can’t use the app as is. I will upgrade to 5 if this is fixed. Again. I love this app, but I simply cannot pay subscription fees for all the apps that I previously payed for the full version of.

Best Dj app you can Download 1major flaw. This app is incredible taking Djing into the future all the features are next level. Being able to create stems on the fly is just mind boggling crazy good. But what is the point if you can play any of the music from the music app you either need tidal or deezer if you Do you can’t record your mixes. Which I understand using these apps that’s fine. So I load my iPhone & iPad with music I get from BpM supreme and I keep getting The music is DRM protected or not downloaded. And the music I have is Downloaded I keep checking and re download still get that error and can not be played but it works just fine in the desktop Djay app. It’s super frustrating the work around I have is using files app but still all my music playlist I can’t use is a frustrating experience. Been supporter since Day 1 literally followed algoriddim since 2012 and I subscribed right away when the app went monthly. And I support paying $5 because the Game changing features you guys offer but if I can not play any music on the music app that’s in my phone what’s the point l!! it’s Ike having a tricked out Ferrari that can’t leave the garage.

Algoriddim Djay is top notch. I am an old DJ and semi new to digital mixing. I had quit for many years after the scene died in 93’. I downloaded virtual DJ on my pc and gave it a go. I liked it but mouse and keyboard is not ideal. I purchased a vestax Spin 2 and used it for a while with algoriddim Djay. I liked it a lot but I still had to do a lot on the iPad screen. I bought a reloop Buddy last year and it is insane how much fun it is with Algoriddim Djay pro AI. My mixes are so much better. The features are great and the neural mix is really just fantastic. I was a monthly subscriber and I just signed up for the yearly option. For now I do not want to use anything else. The classic mode on the picture disc setting is fun like the old days. The FX are good and it is really great software. Not just for beginners.

Anoyed. I pressplay an in the first 3 seconds of of some of the audios i play the song jumps a couple seconds ahead or behind n this is highly anoying for a person like me that loves to beatmatch i was gonna pay for the whole year subscription but a voice told me test out a month first and now am glad i did that because I would have spent so much miney just to be anoyed and am using an iphone 8 + i still use the neutral mix due to the fact that is actually a revolutionary feature so pleas fix this bug because i actually like this app and would want to continue using it and recommending it but only if that bugbis fixed

Love this app. Ever since I started djing, this app got me started with the low budget that I have and this app offers capabilities for the creative mind. For a dj on a budget, Ihad no idea how much access I had to pull off amazing sounds and tricks and express it to your taste and likings. IfI couldn’t achieve a sound ai was looking for there were many other options to find that sound or trick. I got nothing but smooth transitions between effects and the neural feature- allay my finger tips. Super easy to use, and super easy to figure out. This software will capture your creative mind and is user friendly as I am partially blind it helps me achieve the normalcy I lost by mixing tracks of my own into my favorite tracks and mixing and remixing top hits. I began my journey for people on a low budget that wanted music at their parties and all I had was a pa and jumbled music between two phones. I got this app to make my life easier to play music at these parties on my iPad and it helped push me into a more professional more quality type mixing than I intended, and now here zi am with a dj controller mixing on a whole different level for my low income clientele and currently now branching out performing small festivals and small bars and clubs embracing my music and my visions of their favorite songs all because I took chance on this app Thank you so much for making this quality app for low budget visionaries like myself and young artists and beginning djs around the globe!!!!

Too buggy. I’ve been using djay for 10 years now. I’ve been making mixes with the old version the entire time. I downloaded this new upgrade alongside the old one. While i love the features — skip, multiple ways to get to the equalizer, the apparent Neural features, etc — the software is just too buggy. I’ve had the screen just completely freeze on me several times. No clue what’s going on. It also is sometimes delayed in acting on my touch inputs. This is unacceptable where precision is needed. Other times, input is delayed to match the synced beat grid — or something, I really don’t understand what the software is doing. It is too unpredictable for me to record music. I might put a LOT of time into prepping a mix, but the software is likely to freeze or choke during the live record. This wastes my time and is frustrating AF.

Most used app on my phone. Ever since my hardware started acting screwy, I decided to give some alternatives a try. I’ve only ever mixed and recorded analog... 1200s, CDJs with actual CDs, mixer into the AUX of a stereo, cassette recordings... I’ve never used software before. I wouldn’t even know how to connect my laptop to my mixer. Yeah I know... ridiculous, right? But if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Well... it broke. So I decided to give some of the DJ apps a try. And I gotta say... most of the ones I tired were pretty terrible. Hot garbage, if I’m being honest. They had interesting qualities but wasn’t quite “there”. And the recordings sounded worse than my cassette recordings, hiss and all. This was the last app I tried. And I fell in love. So much so, I actually pay for it... and if you knew me... you’ll know I never spend money on apps. Only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5, is because the app drains my battery pretty quickly. Otherwise it’s be the full 5 stars. Anyways, hope my review is helpful to someone on the fence about giving it a try. All I’ll say is, this is by far the best app I’ve come across that fulfills what I need in a DJ setup... and more. I’ve tried about 4 other ones, and not only is this smoother and easier to use, the UI is way better looking than the others I tried. Solve that battery draining problem and I’d go as far as it say it’s perfect (for what I need). Good luck!

Play music off iCloud/ files, ditch iTunes music. I don’t have a computer, just a phone. There aren’t many decent music players for iOS. I make my own music, on my phone, and like to listen to them. I can do that with this player. It makes listening to music really fun. You can play around with effects, record, mix, and has some pretty intuitive features. It did eat my battery pretty fast. Not something that you can use all the time, unless you’re plugged in. I see dj’s as music makers that haven’t really taken that crucial next step into music making. You could call them posers, or noobs. Especially since everyone can afford to make music on their computers and phones/ iPads now. I see if dj apps want to make it in the future now, they’ll need to start seeing themselves as musical instruments. Therefore integrate themselves into AUM/ Audiobus/ audio units/ plug-ins/ effects. Without this, it’s kind of all gimmicky and doesn’t really last/ transitional to say the least. Dj’s are well mostly fake. Ai can do everything they do. Sure they bring the energy and promote music. But to really bring it, is to make music, and step on fan mode.

Fantastic app, just wish it wasn’t subscription based. This is an amazing app that works well with my DDJ-400. MIDI support is great, and it’s pretty much plug-and-play, granted you have Type-C/Lightning cable to USB dock or convertor. The experience has been pretty flawless and comes close to being a good alternative to desktop-based DJ software. I just wish it wasn’t subscription based; I’d be happy paying an one-time fee even if it was on the expensive side. On the free version, you can’t use most DJ controllers. I guess they do this so that one subscription gives you access to this program on multiple devices, but I’d still be fine with paying an iPad-only fee. Other than that, this app is great!

We asked for more features on Djay Pro, and this is what we get.. If anyone used the previous generation of the djay series and was in fact following along with the forum, you should be aware that they were willing to add more ideas such as ableton link to djay pro. However, the devs showed up once to support it never since. Well, Now we know why. They weren’t talking on the forum because they knew that they wanted to get more money off features that were requested. It’s important to note that the djay series has been attractive because it was a one-time payment app that beat all other one-time payment djing app. This, however, defeats the trust of the djay series. Even with the 83% off for djay pro users, it’s still outrageous that you pay $9.99 for a year worth of djay, when there are better alternatives at that price range such as the soda. For those of you trying out the djay app for the first time, don’t bother with this one even if it seems very attractive. Get alternatives or the older djay pro. They are only missing a few things and often times they’re cheaper than $9.99 for a one-time payment.

Subscription required/absolute ripoff. I’m a DJ and Musician so I thought this app might be fun to have on my phone to mess around with and maybe use to build set lists when I’m out but nope, it requires a subscription. There’s no need to constantly pay for an app like this. If it does everything it claims to do I would have been willing to pay good money for this (like the $30 their asking for yearly payments of) but as a one time fee not repeatedly that’s wild of the developers to think that any DJ app justifies a monthly or yearly bill. These developers are getting out of hand trying to make everything a subscription, you could use this money to buy new music every month or sign up for a music streaming service or if you’re a new DJ trying to get started, save the money and put it towards real DJ gear. A monthly or yearly subscription no matter how much for an app like this is an absolute ripoff, a one time fee would have been more appropriate. Actual legitimate music creation apps like Drambo, Korg gadget and Koala sampler that have the tools and features to create an entire song from scratch are even one time fee apps and they are much more complex and harder to design than an app that simply lets you play back and DJ music that’s already made. Absolute rip off and greedy of the devs, this one is an instant delete.

Mixing Videos is almost a breeze!. I love this app, I have been using it for a few years now. Recently upgraded to iPad Pro and Mixon 8 pro. My only complaint is the visualizations on the looper. I use video mixing in my sets and I remix tracks live with the looper, and unfortunately i have to disable the visualizations on each track manually, I wish there was a way todo this with one button, please add this feature! I would love to see some mic effects too, maybe echo synced with the track, that would be amazing! I used serato and every DJ app out there, I feel the features of djay pro are way ahead of the competition, and I literally use every single one of them, neural mix, sampler creating my own beats, looper and of course the video mixing. One other thing about the video mixing, I’d love to use the pro or simple interface while the videos are still playing in the video output but when I load the track if you click not now, the. The video won’t load, and if you Dont it always switches you to the video interface, maybe a lock interface option and always load videos if there is a video track?

What a mess.... I’ve been using DJ Pro for years and love it. Unnecessarily complex doesn’t begin to describe this hot mess of an “update.” I am constantly hitting menu buttons to change views back and forth just to do some basic mixing. In 4 deck view, you cannot control the basic volume of the track and the FX controls at the same time because they are on two completely different pages! ???!!!??? The library (as others have mentioned) is now so small and complex that it’s difficult to find the next song quickly so you can get back to mixing. This is not an update, it’s a downgrade and a waste of money. I paid my $9.99 to try it out. Learn from my mistake, save your money and buy a real DJ program, because this app is not it. And seriously, what is the subscription for and where is the value for the monthly fee? The loops? We have to punch through so many menu options just to get there (and back) that the song will be over before we can even add a basic kick or snare to our mix. What a waste.

The best DJ software (now). I can’t believe it. The last several weeks I have been frustrated because each of the DJ softwares had a little bit of what I wanted, but not one had it all. That just changed with the update of DJ Pro AI. I am so excited! I have tried all the others, but kept coming back to you. I love the music match suggestions! By the way, I have been using DJay for several years. About a week ago, I switched once again (maybe my 5th time) to Serato. I just left them again and told myself I would have to give up what they offer. Then today, I got your software update and voilà! I now have the crate system, the Camelot keys (and color). Plus what you already had…Music Match, Tidal (and all the other integrations), Neural Mix, and video! Thank you, thank you, thank for for this update! I’m with you forever now! Keep up the great work.

Bait and switch (updated). I previously wrote an angry review with one star for this app. I am seriously annoyed with companies switching to a subscription model instead of supporting apps or desktop applications people have already paid for and expected support for. That said, I am updating my review and rating due to the fact that this update is excellent. It’s the best DJ app on iOS. For 4 stars, I implore Algoriddim GmbH to allow for more comprehensive editorial of the beat grid. Bonus points for allowing the user to create new audio files with truncated versions of tracks. Some songs have sliding, evolving, or distinct tempo sections. “Batdance” by Prince is a great example. There’s basically another song embedded in the middle of that track. As a vinyl DJ I understand that skill can overcome these limitations, but as an Apple customer who just bought a powerful new iPad Pro, I want my machine to use all it’s processor power to make my life easier and to free up my brain goo processor for other creative activities (microphone banter, visuals, dance-offs, etc). For 5 stars, make this app compatible with Audiobus technology (like DJ Pro is/was). I would also suggest, if they are receptive, ask Ableton if “DJ” can read .ALS files so that all the warp marking labor undertaken by users can be interpreted non-destructively (ie: without rendering a new audio file). Keep up the good work.

Started Out Great. I have been a long time supporter of this app, even after they switched to a subscription model. However, the software is becoming so crowded with features it is hard to use the app to dj from track to track and quickly find what I need to “work” my mixes. In addition, the more they add the further Djay loses sight of the basics. A great example is the massive lag between the beat grid displayed and the sound played - the track marker for the beat being played does not line up with the sound coming out of the iPad. I would expect this perhaps on older hardware but not on a new 12.9” iPad Pro with 1TB of storage. I implore you to resolve this issue at it makes mixing live impossible for accuracy and forces the use of the sync button which sometimes takes a beat or two to align the tracks. Additionally it would be nice to see an option to display or hide features and components to regain valuable real estate. Finally, please please add a feature to number the tracks in a playlist as this is extremely useful for setting up shows, returning to a visible order after sorting or editing, etc. Keep up the good work, but please fix the basics before shooting for the moon.

Went from a useful tool to an app riddled with upselling advertisements.. I purchased this app In full when it came out a while back. At some point, I stopped using it and came back only to find that the app I paid for was discontinued and this one set to take its place. This app is now riddled with upsells to the pro subscription service. 40 percent of the development seems to be adding new ways to remind me how the app I paid for so long ago won’t work unless I pay more money every year. With the recent update, the one feature I used most often (BPM adjustments) has been completely gutted and gimped to basic functionality. What a joke. I get it. This app is intended for professionals and professional software is transitioning to subscription-based solutions. Very well, but to pooch the ones that paid already by axing the original djay app and leaving them in the dust? Ill pass. I’ve dealt with the changes for awhile now but this last update strips down the one remaining feature I stayed for, and guts the others out too I’m sure.

Amaaaaaazing!. I am not normally a DJ. I mostly do live sound mixing and karaoke, but I had a client ask me to DJ a party and I googled and found djay through the Tidal service. It is amazing. I was able to learn how to do mixing and beat matching and effects in just an hour before I went to the party and it was so easy. Everyone loved my fades and transitions and danced all night. The only problem I had was a few songs cut out in the middle because I had the quality up on HiFi, but once I changed to normal quality everything went smoothly. I have tried a few more DJ apps to see if there was anything better, but nothing compares to djay! Great job!!!

Almost 5 stars.. What it’s missing: - When I change speed, the pitch stays locked to the same pitch. I don’t like it. If I can figure out how to change speed/bpm/tempo and have the pitch correlate with the change of tempo, then I will enjoy the app a lot more. - Pitch adjustment beyond just one octave would be cool. For example: 432hz -> 440hz -> 528hz. If I had one or both of these features in the app, it would be 5 stars for me. Even just the pitch changing in correlation with the bpm change would be fine. There should be an option to have it pitch locked or not pitch locked when you change tempo. Maybe the feature already exists and I just haven’t figured it out yet. Pros: + Can isolate drums, vocals, melody, and bass. + Can change pitches an octave. + When looking for a song in a playlist to Que, it shows bpm and key. And you can filter by bpm or key. + Filters and effects. + Cue buttons. A nice app, not too distant from serato on the convenience of a phone. And you can use it with your Tidal library, although a little lame you can’t record a mix while using Tidal. If I can figure out how to unlock the pitch lock that accompanies a bpm change, then I will change my review to 5 stars.

It’s a great app! But the update—. After the recent update, a feature I often used was the ability to change the song’s pitch no matter what speed it was playing at. It’d be nice to have that back. Right now you can only play the song at its original pitch regardless of speed or at the pitch of the set speed....like, I can’t play the song at a higher bpm and have it at a lower pitch than the original, I miss doing jams like that. Actually that was the only reason why I used this app over eDjing for a while. Buts that feature is gone now....hmmm I paid for the premium version hoping the feature would be there but was disappointed to find that it wasn’t. Eh, I don’t really see a reason to use an app that doesn’t have different features from the competition in general.

Add an anchor feature that supports key changes and time signature changes.. I liked the anchor feature where you could edit the tempo of a song at certain parts, basically supporting songs with a changing bpm. Here’s the Problem with songs with Key change(s): When I mix two song together, one of the songs have a key change, making both the songs sound extremely off and I have to re-pitch the song from something like 4 semitones up to 2 semitones up. And some song’s keys that are detected are off by one number in the Camelot value or + or - 5 semitones and you should add a feature where you can just enter the key with the actual and correct key. Here’s the problem with songs with time signature changes: Some songs with a time signature change affect the sync interval when set at 4 beats. Some songs are just flat out a time signature other than 4/4 (e.g. 3/4, 6/8, 5/4). You should also add another anchor feature regarding time signature changes with a setting to set the time signature of selected measure(s).

Hours on top of hours. I’ve had this app for two months now and no I haven’t been counting but I know I’ve spent somewhere between 75 to 100 hours already in this app alone. I’ve downloaded it on my iPhone my iPad, my MacBook Pro and I’ve installed it on my HP computer using Windows 10. It’s super user-friendly, the setup and navigation is straightforward which allows you to get straight to your purpose and end goal of becoming a pro DJay! It’s loaded with features that other platforms that I still use(but not as much now😬) do not have. Personally I have not come across another DJing app that not only meets my expectations but goes above and beyond my expectations, and it doesn’t vary from one device/system to another(iPhone,iPad,Laptop). I Have Fun Everytime I Open This App!!!

And what are you waiting for?. I like simple and not too complicated, easy to operate and not too much fussing around. The program in my opinion is great, tons of options again easy to get to. Sometimes I wonder why we pay all that good money for controllers like dj pioneer 1000 and up one of my favorites. I love music and simple things to operate, learning curve, make sure you like the program what I am saying is that we all do things differently with the same results. So because I like the app it dose not mean someone will too. The program is easy to operate perfect again I recommend it highly And sometimes it's harder and other times easyf The only thing i want to add I think that this is one of the best apps however it was not palying the track ffter it loaded playing for 3 seconds and stopping i layed an egg Take that and see why because I need this app to be flawless 10 out of 10 I give it a 10

Blows My Mind Coming From Traktor on Mac. My setup is very atypical - I have four separate MIDI devices, which send their input to Traktor Pro 2, and receive output from Ableton Live. The two softwares are kept in sync via Ableton Link so that I could run lightshows on a Launchpad, Launchkey, and MIDI Fighter 3D. Color me surprised when I find that I can replicate the exact same setup between NanoStudio 2 and Djay - but not only that, Djay genuinely surpasses Traktor in every possible way. Usability, stability, featureset, it’s all absolutely excellent - even to the point of supporting basically any kind of input or output, audio and midi, and even smart keyboard shortcuts. This software goes above and beyond to provide a serious contender in professional DJ software. Absolutely do recommend.

Wow wow. I bought the iPhone attachment to try this out and it’s amazing! Djay is packs a PUNCH 🥊 I have used most digital dj platforms since Final Scratch 1 lol, and am a Serato dj. I love Serato, but after trying this latest version of Djay, im wondering why Serato requires a top notch computer to run when Djay can run just fine on an iPhone with no latency , stems, & a bunch of other comparable features perfectly? Im connected to a Rane One using Beatsource & Apple Music, it turns on and loads superfast with Djay, perfect to get my scratch itch off without having to connect the laptop & loading etc etc lol.. I love Djay and would recommend it especially to djs that get the urge & wanna cut it up with the convenience of your smartphone…

Excellent accessibility. As a totally blind user of your software and its interface, I am pleased to give you a five star rating. As a company, you really take the time to put your customers needs first. Based on the updates to your software, and the ease of use ability, I am pleased to say thank you. Since the last update that I provided, I would like to add that for learning and teaching techniques for the blind and visually impaired community, your software provides excellent techniques through the use of the interface, and the way that it is laid out. Please continue providing this software for more blind and visually impaired DJs, such as myself as accessibility is a top priority in both software and hardware for those with disabilities and special needs.

Was perfect before newest update. First time I'm writing a review in hopes developers see this 😢 I use this app on daily basis it's apart of my main setup. I've gotten used to the tad of a delay because this runs off wifi but after the update it's gotten ridiculous!? The app is responding horribly late when I press on cues and also starts playing by itself after it recognizes I pressed a cue. The app litterally shut down on me in the middle of playing?? How can I trust this setup when I'm playing live now?? Also when you set a loop it drops a cue and sometimes gets confused on the playback if you already had a cue set at the same spot? I have a big gig next week playing at a local festival and I'm super nervous if I'll be able to play adequately with this new update? I can't have music playing when it decides way AFTER I've pressed the cue or shut down on me in the middle of playing???

It’s great.. It’s fantastic. However there is one issue: sync. Beware, the software has an automatic sync feature that’s tries its hand at being intuitive while beat matching; when the tracks are either individually or simultaneously synced by hitting the sync button, the program decides to beat jump to a place in the record that corresponds with the other. Unfortunately, this causes critical errors in live situations as, one, Who said that’s where I was trying to start the record, and two, moving the record makes it try to catch its next placement. Therefore, the solution is to hit the sync button then release sync, and the record will have the same tempo but release itself from the grasp of djays decision making. Also, the nudge buttons on the interface for the left and right deck are in opposite locations, which you would think makes sense, but again in live situations it’s odd having to search. The FX are fantastic. Song management and real time scanning is a good touch I wish serato had. When using my Bluetooth beats solo 3 headphones, there’s not a delay, so that’s great. I use tidal, so if you do as well then of course your playlists and recently saved songs are right in front of you. And of course it’s the same with Apple Music. 5 stars when you remember to “unsync” a record every time you sync it.

New connection issues make it almost unusable.. As an intermediate DJ, this app does everything I could ask it to do. However, only just a couple days ago, it started being unable to connect to my DDJ-200. I use an iPad as my primary device, and that’s where the problem is. It connects just fine if I use my phone, which I find quite annoying and inconvenient. Bluetooth is Bluetooth so what’s the problem? I’ve tried everything to remedy the issue. Rebooting my iPad several times, deleting the app and reinstalling it, unplugging and plugging back in the DDJ-200, everything, all to no avail. I’ve reached out for help by several methods and have gotten zero response. Algoriddim, please hire an intern or something to manage your Instagram page and to provide responses to questions. Adding insult to injury, I’m a Djay Pro subscriber. Quite inconvenient to have paid for a year subscription only to not even be able to use it how I want. Oh and another thing, I migrated to Tidal (annoyed about that too) and the track list doesn’t provide the key of the track for like half of my set list. Just make your app work 100% how it’s supposed to. Other than that, I have no complaints.

“Could not load track: Operation not permitted”. I’ve been using this app since 2021 and I loved it. This is a really nice software that lets you make really good music, but lately I’ve been going through a really bad issue: I’ve been getting a prompt on the screen very often that says “Could not load track: Operation not permitted” and I can’t load a track at all. The only way you could use the app is by force closing the app and open it back again, which is very impractical and annoying. I can’t load a track after another and sometimes I can’t even use the app. I’d like to get this error fixed as soon as possible. Like I said, I really love this app and I even pay a yearly subscription to use all features, but this problem will lead me to cancel the subscription and uninstall the app. Please address this issue as soon as possible.

Mis leading library functions.. If you use Apple Music or iTunes algoriddem implies you can load songs from your library and dj with your tunes. This is false algoriddem has never fixed the DRM bug and when you load your library, songs will be unavailable to use in this program. Also this program doesn’t support all mixers, if you have a native instruments mixer algoriddem does not support. For a subscription based software it gives very little support in the major bug and compatibility problems. I really tried to give this program a shot but constantly trying to work around the DRM bug made it more of a hassle dj’ing when you go to load a song up that was once available to load then all of sudden isn’t available to load. In the forums they’re is no real answers to the DRM issue other than make a lesser quality mp3. With a large library that is truly unrealistic. Don’t do it!

Love it!...but it could use a few tweaks. This app is how I listen to music; I barely even use the music app anymore. I like the wide range of effects I can choose from, I like the malleability of the software when it comes to changing tempo and almost everything else. Lastly, I absolutely love how you can see the tempos and keys of songs while you're selecting one in your library and that you can change the pitch or keep it the same, even when you need to tweak the BPM a bit. However, no great app is without its flaws. First off, there has been a recurring bug even since Djay 2 was a thing, where the app would mislabel the artist of quite a few of the songs in the music library. For example, the song "Astrocat" by an artist called PIXL is labeled by the app under a different artist in my library, for example, "Droptek and Tut Tut Child." Second off, I have a question. Djay 2 had a feature where you could record your own samples and make your own sample packs. It doesn't say whether this comes with pro features or not. Is that a pro features thing or was it removed entirely? Again, I love the app, but just a few bugs may need to be fixed.

WOW! Everything I always dreamed of. Edit: hey why can’t you guys make the app save its spot when you exit? Often leave the app open, come back, open the iPad and the app has closed and lost my place from earlier. Seems pretty simple feature. The app also loses my custom mappings, I’ve got them saved, but still. ———- This takes full advantage of my pioneer SX2 better than serato. It runs perfectly on an old iPhone SE while my i7 laptop struggles not to clip and lag on serato. Fan-freaking-taskstic work guys, not a fan of the subscription model but $50/year pales in comparison to want I’ve spent between tracktor and serato. Extremely, extremely pleased.

Lots of potential. For an app, it’s very good but it’s not as useful for me with the hardware I use with it. I actually like the interface better than Serato DJ Pro but the inability to use it in external mixer mode makes me lean towards using Serato. In addition I could never get consistent movement from the interaction between the hardware pitch fader and the app pitch fader. Hopefully in the future they will release fixes to address these issues. So, it lost 1 star for the pitch fader issue and one more for being forced to only use the internal mixer mode only with my hardware. If you use different hardware or don’t need the external mixer mode it could score a 5/5 for you. One major reason why is because the IOS version of iTunes/music works much better than the PC version which is very slow even on a very powerful 8 core laptop.

I used to love this app.... I was running a version from mid-2019 up until yesterday. I had an app error with another app which accidentally caused my old version to update to this TRASH new version. I’m no DJ, I just used this app for EQ and volume adjustments with my iTunes library, I even bought one of the old loop packs WAY back when during the djay / djay 2 days. My issue is, now I’m limited by this “play duration” trash on the new version, which has COMPLETELY destroyed the experience for me. Now I’m trapped behind a paywall for “unlimited plays” that I just lost access to for simple EQ, volume adjustments and speed control? The LEAST you guys can do would be to have a one time PAID upgrade to return my features that I used without the subscription. I would GLADLY pay 10-25 dollars one time simply to have the app back to the original way I used it. If you guys do that, my opinion will easily jump up to a 5, and odds are I’ll even buy individual loop packs if those are available. But at this moment? I’m GREATLY disappointed

COME ON WHAT IS THIS SUBSCRIPTION CRAP!!!. Update: Well I finally heard back on my first review — 9 months later... Personally that tells me that not only has the product changed to an unreasonable subscription model but the developers don’t even care enough to read the feedback regularly... Probably trying to figure out where they went wrong - no one buying your product? Maybe because it’s a subscription based product. Original Review: One more product I am dumping because the company decided that making money was more important than servicing their products. I have the previous version (which I will no longer upgrade for fear that it will get broken and then lose support) and it is fine. All these companies think that they can charge monthly money for apps and it is just garbage - people are not made of money and don’t want to pay forever for an app... I say either go back to a purchase price or lose more customer... What’s better $40 you get and it is yours, or $60 per year that I’m not giving you and a lot of other people won’t either... Seems like everyone is trying to nickel and dime the consumers with their “in-app purchases” or “subscriptions”... At least with IAP I get to choose whether things are worth it to me - and I can buy them and then THEY ARE MINE... I’m done... Not buying these subscription apps ever again...

My review of this app over the years. to the developers of this app, I want to say a big thank you for coming up with one of the best mobile dj apps of all time ( djay 2 ). I have been using djay 2 for years and I came to master all of it before the new version which now comes with the subscription. I will ask that certain issues be addressed with the app. I honestly prefer the older djay 2 over the new one because of how simple and well placed the entire app was made. My only concern over the years was how sound output distorts when you lock the key and increase the tempo of any particular song. It’s very identical to that of virtual dj which is very bad. Serato does this key lock thing so well. I’d be more than happy if the developers found a way to push the best of sound output from this app as much as possible. Thanks

Djay is my main backup and has been for 8 years. I have been using Djay since it was released in ‘07. I started using it professionally on a minimal basis in ‘08 as a way of Dj transitioning before that was made easier. In 2010 I stopped using headphones in Djay altogether and now can play for hours without missing a beat. I’ve been through 2 real scenarios where I had to play at mobile gigs for 4 hours entirely w/Djay (with no headphones) and no one knew the difference when I had laptop or controller failure. I’ve been able make mixes and those that have heard it have no idea I did it on my phone and refuse to believe it…… A game changer 💪🏽

DJ Manipulator. The best DJ app for iPad and iPhone on the market. I use an iPad Pro and Traktor s2 midi control decks and with this set up I can pretty much DJ any venue any club any arena with sufficient control and capability to please the crowd no matter how big or how small. I would recommend this app to any beginner, novice or professional DJ out there. For the beginner it has many tutorials and how to videos to get your DJ skills up to par to have you ready to battle with the best in no time at all. Also for the novice and professional DJs out there the tips and tricks that are presented in the videos you can even hone your craft with precision and perfection with ease. Try it try it I can not say it enough get it buy it try it you will not be disappointed. 50 stars for DJ PRO!!!

Solid App. So I haven’t ever experienced a music app/tool that made an easy way to learn how to make and play with different kinds of music. Navigation within the app is a breeze and there are neat features that allow you to slow the track with ease and add cool sound effects. You can use up to 4 decks at a time which is a cool feature, although i recommend you use this on an iPad if you want to be able to see everything better. When first discovering this, two things came to mind: 1) It’s probably a poopy generic DJ tool you see everywhere 2) it’s probably bloated with ads. The subscription price isn’t all that bad and i definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to make quick samples and such. The one thing I can complain about is when going to record whatever such has been made and the song source is from say Apple Music or SoundCloud, the app will not let you use those tracks from those services. I would give it a full 5 Star rating if that was to be changed. Solid and fun app for sure!

Can’t play songs you want. It’s better than other apps, that’s for sure. You really don’t need the paid subscription to have fun! The only complaint I have is about song selection. Oh boy. The only way to get a specific song, say, something Teminite, is to go to beatport and search it. And then, it’s only 2:00 of the song! Not even starting at the beginning! And it doesn’t matter if you’re even signed into beatport. Hey, at least beatport lets you sign in. Beatsource and TIDAL tell you to sign in for un-timed tracks, but apparently you have to already have an account because they won’t let you make one in the app. I had the intention of recreating Teminite’s beastmode-bonfire mix but that was denied by how you get tracks. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great app. It’s fun to find random songs to mix. But don’t come in with specific ideas in mind.

I’ve been DJing for 30 years, and this is the easiest and most user-friendly. This is hands-down by far the best DJ app on the market is there any smart phone iPad or digital product similar into a DJ Consol that allows you to mix fade and scratch pretty much. I don’t think there’s any comparison at least now that I’ve seen in a few years thank you for putting this out. I appreciate the free version. I’m not paying monthly for anything but I would definitely drop five dollars for that just to have the app and unlimited similar to something like I use iMovie for I actually am a DJ, but I like to do my rap mixes on this, and it also helps with pitch control issues that you don’t find a normal music programs and make it much more difficult. Peace

40 years in the music biz. Very much enjoying the application and I’m playing around with the free version. Haven’t split cue yet and I’m already beat mixing pretty decently with no headphone. My iTunes library loaded in very easily and the BPM’s get captured pretty much after you load the file. Decent sync and EQ should make playing out with this app fun. PS I have signed developed and released over 1000 in singles and 80 album projects of pure soulful quality dance music. I’ve managed some of the heavy weights as producers artists in DJs. Traveling the world where they would make upwards of $10,000 a gig. I was a well-known name in NYC working the clubs myself from 1985 to 1991. Private eyes video night club, limelight, Palladium, Danceteria. I just want to repeat that I have only been playing around with this app for the past five hours yet somehow I know I will be using it for doing fashion shows, art gallery openings and some lounge club play. I may end up getting the pro version after I play around for a few more days and check on my headphones work. Thanks deejay. .

Learn from the best. Algorithm never ceases to amaze me… Not only have they fixed bugs and issues from the past they also have introduced D.J. school for the masses! I've watched all the videos and they are superb! There's only one downside for the classes… Or should I say two, I wish they would get in depth and show people how to properly beat sink when it comes to certain tools in editing for this app. There are certain issues that may arrive and people should know and understand what those may be so that he can help them perform like a pro when it is needed. Also where are the female DJs? That would have been a great add a touch if they would've had a female up there! I remember being in school and being a teachers pet for my female teacher… Lol! Maybe in the near future if they do any updates to the D.J. school they'll put a female in its place to show us the in-depth ins and outs of editing in this app! Keep up the job guys and great work.

Been pretty good so far. I have been using this program for over 5 years now. It works ok most of the time. Once in awhile it just closes up and i have to relaunch, and start my mixes all over again. Not paying for that. I had the free version that was available then and still use it. I won’t pay to use it on tiny phone and ipad screens as the controls are just not easy on small screens. If they remove the version I currently use, i will definitely uninstall at that point. There’s just simply no feature that would get me to pay a monthly fee. Just a way for these companies to get filthy rich. Look i would maybe consider a one time fee, but subscription to play my own music that ive already paid a fortune for? Will NEVER happen.

Simply The Best. I am an old school consumer that had refused to even consider upgrading to the latest & greatest version, and this was due solely to the “subscription” aspect of the transaction. Then our friends at Algoriddim made an offer to us holdovers that was difficult to refuse, and for that I thank you!!! This version is just magnificent!! The UI is so much sleeker, and with everything so readily accessible that it is clearly obvious that these developers listen to the feedback from users... or that they must be users themselves to know just how to improve this DJay APP to the point of near perfection. I am currently not employed so I have not subscribed, but I may seriously have to choose between eating and enjoying my DJing pleasures very soon. Thank you Algoriddim!! Rich

Indespensible Music App. djay Pro is a full featured app with an ensemble cast from the classic interface and automix interface and the two or four deck options for mixing a show to even video mixing,; it is a no brainer. However, The NeuralMix feature is a show-stopper! The Neural mix engine allows you to remove elements such as vocals or drums but I found its real strength is in allowing you to tweak mixes to bring vocals up a little more while mixing the rest down slightly, drawing people in to what essentially is an on-the-fly re-master or to remove the drums and utilize the sync feature to use vocals from one deck, melodies from a second deck and then use the looper tool to add drums and basslines... & don't forget the full featured set of audio effects that are built in... It is a truly amazing app to use for all kinds of audio tasks. One recommendation: it would be nice to add the ability to use a set of standard earpods or airpods to add voice overs(i.e., talk between tracks, like the mac OS version.

In my opinion is worth the subscription. When I first found out that the update would go from being free to a monthly or yearly subscription, I was a little upset. But when I found out that it allowed streaming access through SoundCloud I was more than ecstatic. I initially had some issues running it because the phone that I had was couldn’t get the latest iOS update. Once I got a new phone I had no more issues with the app crashing. My only criticism is that there is no longer the option to have the waveforms horizontal while running 4 channels. Other than that every thing is still very much the same from when I first downloaded it 5 years ago with a whole lot more.

False advertising be careful. My son started using the app and went to use neutral mix function and a message came up saying subscription required. It offered a 7 day free trial then annual subscription would be charged of around $43 and said ‘cancel at any time’. It charged the subscription fee straight away! Not cool as this is false advertising. He’d only been using it about 30 mins so couldn’t make a decision on whether it was worth a subscription.

Heidi. It’s so fun and so cool watching the songs mash together and finding a new favourite song afterwards. I really enjoy all the different songs and finding my favourites and just potting them tiger I find so awesome and so fun I love this app it’s my favourite app well other then the AppStore that prints cool too.

Epic app. I love this app for so many reasons!! The only thing I would say against it is I can’t buy it out right!!! Perhaps you could charge yearly a small fee for updates if it was purchased outright so you can keep maintaining the program!!! Has been done in the past!! I would love this option 😍

kickin dj app. As a dj with 30 years of trance mixing under the belt this is a really nice app for those who want the pro experience..the only issue i have is it can be a little easy to accidently tap n drop from the app when using latest iphones to mix n record..the interface can be difficult to fit text on the screen in visualisation mode and the track visuals could be slightly larger for male fingers if using iphone to do your thing..trance on this is one of the best out there..dj kama australia

Amazing app for the DDJ200. Been using this app for almost a year and wouldn’t use anything else. Works great with DDJ200 and would highly recommend this app for beginners to intermediate because of its easy to use features, range of FX, reliable connectivity and more.

Apple Music is here!. Thank you! I haven’t used this app in years as I went all in on Apple Music. Great to have a reason to jump back into this old hobby.

Portable Dj at it’s finest.. You can actually see the app doing the work with its intuitive user interface. Quite possibly the most effective app I’ve used on an iPad to date. Good job. Just one thing where is the microphone input for the mixes?

Not for me. I subscribed for the free week and cancelled after 20 mins- I couldn’t use the songs I wanted to use to mash up, so this was of no use to me- even though you say you can use soundcloud, it had to be soundcloud + so that becomes a cost.... no thanks, not for an amateur that only wants to play with 2 songs- I want to give one star and couldnt.... hhmmmm

Would love Apple Music integration. I’ve been a loyal djay user for years, and it helped having previously purchased all of my music on iTunes. However now that I have made the switch to streaming, I’m now unable to load any of my library into djay. I do understand it’s a different coding system, but I would really love to see Apple Music integration with this app, as this is the main app I use for making mixes, and I’d really like to have my music library able to be loaded into djay (hence the one star missing).

Love it!. The interface is simple & slick or complicated & cluttered depending on your preferences & style & state of advancement The sounds loops & waveforms are gorgeous crisp & clean the sync to tempo is amazing & ferociously accurate! A bit expensive, but if your serious about E DJing up a tornado this is the app to do it with! the tutorials are simple & informative, auto mix allows you to jump right into the world of DJing anywhere on earth! :D it’s fun!!!

Subscriptions. Look it’s a great app but you can only to the basics of editing songs so developers please cut back on what you have to buy because I have to waste 7.59 something like that on something that I can put into garage band So please fix this

Underrated app!!💫💫. Amazing app for audio edits or just to vibe,You should definetly buy PRO it will make the experience 1000x times better but the free version also does have plenty of good stuff, for well being free :) 5 stars for me!

THIS IS THE DJ APP YOU WANT TO HAVE. Seriously have tried all the DJ Mixing apps out there and this is by far the one you want to have ! Amazing features and awesome user friendly platform! I haven’t looked back since! Only thing I can ask to better is the vocal or beat melody filtering feature can use some work as you can still hear background noise from the track but besides that awesome 10/10

Awesome!. Very good for making edit audios (lol), but I wish you wouldn’t have to pay to record the audio. I don’t mind screen recording, but still. Edit: I’ll definitely consider getting premium now as the new Neutral Mix feature is incredible! Instant acapellas and instrumentals?? Sick! I’d definitely use those features for remixes. Thank you!

Best Mixing App Ever!!!. I’m finally able to create professional quality mixes with the absolute best DJ app I’ve ever used. No need for expensive equipment, just an iPad and good headphones.🎶🤙💕 Would be great if your playlists were also saved across iCloud as I use several different machines

Dj app is a Rippa🎹🥁🎤🎸🎺🪇. Great for boring rainy days and parties. Finally I’ve been able to mix my music with ease. Great for Parties too, my friends were impressed. They want to get the app coz they said it is really good value for money. Great job to the developer/s !! 👍🏼

Price has become too expensive. I have paid for three previous versions of this iOS app: djay2 and djay Pro iPad and iPhone, and two versions of the desktop app Pro and Pro2. I agree that developers have the right to change their pricing models but I feel that this product is no longer worth the cost. I’ve spent around $200 on your products in the past, but I won't be subscribing or purchasing any version of this product any longer. I, like most of my DJ friends use Serato or RekordBox for gigs and Djay for mucking around, trying things out on the go, this is part of the reason I feel that it's over priced.

I Love Dj. So They say you find yourself in your 20’s, I can say with the love I have for music and Discovering this app I believe with my passion for the music industry already dancing and Improving my singing this is the direction I want so thank you algoriddim DJ! Awesome !

Such a great program to learn to Dj!. Really happy with this app and I’m currently still on the free version. So easy to use and some of my professional Dj mates are even using it from time to time when they want to be super portable and just take their iPad. I’m looking forward to getting the Mixtour 2 channel controller for my gigs but even without that I can still do all the things I need to.

Great music mix app. I’ve been using this app since it first became available. Over the versions it has just got better and better. If you have a gig coming up or just want continuous music with no breaks this app is for you!

Superstar DJ is child’s play. After purchasing this app for our son (under 10] he’s grown to love music even more and often keeps family and friends entertained with the mixing deck and Looper functions. Well recommended as a starting app at least.

DJ old Sokol. So lucky that after decades on decades since I DJ’d in the 80’s that now we can get consoles digital and not needing to set up again in my 50’s. Loving my downtime getting into my mixes and now, with greater capability. Have to say after doing my homework and testing, Virtual DJ is a cut above, at very least you won’t go wrong so you ain’t taking a risk. Enjoy the creativity, in meantime I’ll go back annoy the fam as now, there is now a DJ inda house!! (Ok in the study room)

There’s no time like the right time. Timely arrival with inclusion of Hi-Fi streaming. The BPM & Key filter only display for a handful of songs. Hopefully we’ll see an option to save mixes from steaming services to keep on device/app only.

Amazing 10/10 the best on the market. Interface is unique and easy to control. Features are incredible, so much content along with a huge variety of features to accomodate any skill level DJ. I highly recommend this amazing software for beginner DJ’s and pro DJ’s, this will be the future of DJ’s.

Music library login without djay premium?. I’ve been logged out of my TIDAL account and it’s so frustrating to have to pay 10$ for the djay premium just to scroll down and log back in! please fix this!

Great app for beginners. I just downloaded the software and learnt to DJ in one day. Had no prior experience at all. Super simple and easy to use. Loved the auto mixing feature. Highly recommend to anyone.

Not used for free. To be honest I’d prefer this app to be without purchases rather than the djay pro because I’m on a unprofessional dj so I try to make the best I can. Unfortunately there are required purchases to actually get the best dj experience especially because this offer may be false which is very disapointing. To sum it all up, I think that this is not good without the djay premium and because of that, you need to make this a free product.

Bad move.... I made the mistake of not following the reviews here. I would not recommend downloading, you will be lured into a value offer for a cheaper year then switch to monthly or a free week then monthly. The new version is more like all the other useless deejay apps and has completely lost the simplicity that made it great, without adding the one single feature it needed to make it perfect... the ability to nudge with a brush of your hand.

New interface not great. I love this app been using DJAY 2 for years and it’s great. But the new interface means you can no longer have the view waveform and the song/playlist in full screen view. New Interface is cluttered and not great. Need to provide the option to view the Interface as it was in DJAY 2. I won’t be updating

Awesome software for beginners, enthusiasts or professionals alike. Been using Djay for around a week now after getting an interest in DJing. I have found the lessons very helpful and the features within the app seem very good. I have found Djay to be exceptional when changing the speed and/or key without affecting the other to be really good in terms of producing little artefacts which is usually the case when time-stretching or pitch-scaling audio. Being a beginner, I’m enjoying experimenting with mixes and playing around with the effects. I can seem to be able to do a lot without using a dedicated DJ controller (which I am looking at purchasing down the track). The app is very easy to use and as a beginner DJ, I’m learning a lot quickly. I also enjoy the feature of being able to isolate vocals, beats or melodies on the fly - further enhancing the quality of what a beginner DJ like myself is able to pull off. My only gripe with the app is not being able to record my mixes and mashups but I understand it’s a legal/copyright issue and not an issue with the app itself.

Annoyance. Hi I rlly do love your app but every time I try and change the songs that I wanna use it keeps asking me for a free trial can u plz do something bout that cuz it’s getting a bit annoying I don’t wanna be harassed by this app for a free trial

Not needed premium audio streaming.. I use soundcloud for all my audio and music and i don’t understand why I can’t use it unless I have premium soundcloud (soundcloud go+) which is a payed subscription. I can use it on other apps so I might go use those apps until I can properly have my wanted songs on this one. Otherwise, great app 😎

I can longer afford the subscription. As I still dont use this as my main DJ program but as a backup I can longer afford the subscription price as my cost of living is ridiculous - Please consider a one off price after the year for us loyal customers who have bought and paid for all your old versions now which will never use again - thank you

Needs Wet/Dry for FX. Previous versions of Djay have had the ability to slowly bring in the effect (Wet/Dry). The Mac version (Pro 2) has it, but I have no idea why it was left out in this version, you don’t come across as “pro” if you drop in a clucky GATE with full force, and that’s just a standard effect, dig deeper into the Djay specific effects and it’s just a mess dropping it in like that.

Not to happy with new update.... I’ve been using program for 2 years now and so very disappointed I can’t use the Neural Mix with Tidal anymore. Hoping this gets resolved or you can team up with another streaming service to use this feature which had made me a loyal customer .

Disappointing. Such a shame to be writing this review after all these years because the app does a lot of things very well. There’s unfortunately one thing that it does quite badly, and it’s so fundamental that it makes the app almost unusable for its purpose of making professional sounding mixes. That thing is the EQ and I had hoped that after all these years some changes would be made (especially with this Pro subscription) but it’s remained the same throughout. The problem is the faders, it’s almost like they’ve been programmed to act in reverse. Trying to subtly drop out a tiny bit of any band results in a drastic cut that is instantly noticeable to the listener. The changes after the initial drastic cut becomes more subtle the lower you drop the fader from unity. This is the opposite of what you want on a dj mixer, unless you’re just trying to make some cheesy mashups and don’t care about how you go about it. This makes it almost impossible to make a seamless mix when you’re trying to delicately balance EQ’s and subtly blend tracks one into another. Part of the problem is that the faders also don’t respond to small inputs when moving them away from unity and seem to just snap to a setting that is always lower than what you are going for. It’s a shame because this app does a lot of things top notch, but unless the EQ problem is ever sorted, I won’t be able to use it for anything more than messing around.

Super good. I really like this app because it is not complicated and hard to use, there isn’t ads, and I like how it has so many options !

This is where it’s at. After quite a number of years of making requests for beat grid saving across the devices, this has been addressed in this update. The developers have also been very responsive, correcting issues with timing on tracks, accepting uploads and testing them to better the algorithm. it’s worked. I realized a lot of my old tracks at timing issues and this new update seems to have sorted them all out. Very happy.

Best DJ app around. Simple catalog/cue management, portability across devices, compatibility with and MIDI mapping to controllers/mixers of all complexities and brands, Ableton Link - the list of reasons to use DJay is long…as well as being excellent value for money. Without doubt, DJay is the best app available for aspiring legend DJs to develop their craft and, importantly, it has the functionality and depth to support you as your mixing/live production skills and confidence develop.

Subscription model. Worst decision ever. An open ended subscription model is just a money grab . If it was a set price that could be spread over a curtain time frame and once the product is paid for then the payments stop i would be ok with that but to keep user chained to dish out cash over and over again is just wrong. I personally never use software unless it can be paid for outright or over a set period of time. Plus don’t use the excuse about always having the latest version , it should be up to the user if they want to upgrade.

Blaise. One thing you could add is a control that allows you to hear one deck with headphones and play the second deck out loud on the devices you using

Subscription. If you've been with algoriddim since the start and have been loyal to djay then enjoy this latest instalment and get the free trial. Two deck really has space for fingers on an iPad now. Bells and whistles. Link iPad and djay to many decks now. If you love djay then you'll find you love this new version. It shouldn't be subscription though, it should be one off and expensive. I'm near the end of my trial now. How do I subscribe?

Good but.... The app is very good but as a dj when I cross fade I like to turn down the base of the song coming in, putting the volume up as I go and then after around a bar or two I turn it back up while the outcome goes track gets base turned down and volume down as well. You can’t do all of this easily. Also, it is very expensive for what it is. I know it comes with samplers and loops and everything but I can get that with things like Serato and Traktor. I can produce my own samplers and use them so why would I pay for it

Crashes. Been using the app successfully for a tear but now it crashes midway through mixing and closes down. Embarrassingly annoying as there seems to be no information about why it happens

Techno head. I love this app and use it all the time as I am a techno head , I have been having problems of late as it crashes all the time . I have upgraded to the latest iPhone and it is still a issue . I also love the Apple Music integration but if you can record those tracks I don’t know why I would use the feature?

Love it!!!. Love how easy this app is to use. I use it with my controller (DDJ SB3) and can’t fault it although I’m a little concerned that the app seems to be getting a bit glitchy. I hope I don5 loose my tracks right in the middle of a set

The best for your iPad Pro. Love this djay app, super intuitive and the djayProAI version does most of the heavy mixing and syncing for you it sounds so seamless. The 12.9 inch screen layout of the app packs a lot of buttons and slides and there is a bit of lag on full brightness but otherwise, it keeps on going like a E Bunny.

Free version locks me out. I really enjoy the basic features of this app and have no need whatsoever for the advanced features. I just want to load, queue up and mix tracks. No effects, sync, pictures etc. I contacted the maker and was told that I could do all this unrestricted with the free version. Great! I was happy to pay something, but not the very large amount they require for the full unlock. This week I have had two gigs ruined by the app telling me I had reached the end of my allowance of time and that I need to sign up for the free trial… and then the app locked me out… in effect I have to sign up to pay the annual subscription. In spite of their reassurances that this would not happen. As I told the maker, I am happy to pay because it’s a great app. But I don’t like being lied to. Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be a strong competitor so I may not have a choice.

Still working on it. I bought a first version of dj pro [a year or so ago] realising I have to buy a new one. I don’t understand why I’m asked to buy a new one instead of upgrading or updating it to the new one.

Great app. Really great app and works with my pioneer controller perfect mostly. Since the latest update though it seems my soundcloud liked tracks don’t fully load. It now only shows a random bunch of 100 tracks. Any bugs that are causing this?

V5 sync scratch broken. Even with the setting disabled , when I scratch it looses sync. Please fix fast on DDJ-200. Work around is to set CC 33 unconfigured for both jog wheels.

5.0 is absolutely incredible. This update makes djp an ultimate contender. I docked a point for hardware compatibility - the hardware support across the board is inconsistent for the different platforms and should work for all controllers. I appreciate all of the new features. Thank you Algoriddm!

Loving the Apple Music integration. I bought this app in the past, it seems today to be an even better version of what it was and I’m still lovin it good stuff

Music. It’s good stuff

New loops not there. You claim to have new packs with the new update but there’s nothing new after I have updated... which is very disappointing

Dj. Hi I really love this app cause it connects perfectly with my little dj machine I have and love to make my own music

Can’t use with Apple Music. I just purchased the pro version and still can’t use it. I feel like I was tricked because it said after paying for it, I should be able to use my songs from Apple Music. Can you confirm this or refund my money please. However, I tried a free version on a Samsung phone and it works perfectly… but I don’t have a Samsung phone

POWERFUL mixing tool🔥. I only use the free version to slow and reverb songs but ive used the premium in the past and it has more than enough features to play around with, definitely recommend if you want a cheap, quality audio mixer

Spotify integration removal. For the last couple of years it has been the ONLY app I was using to dj at every party and events because it allows to play any saved songs on spotify and any special requests from friends. By removing Spotify you force me to subscribe to an other streaming platform which is very disappointing. I paid for this app and for my Spotify account for the last couple of years... I will find an other application to dj from now on, until you itegrate back Spotify.

update. can u guys stop doing weird rearranging updates. it's not as good as it used to be. idk how to even slow stuff down anymore

Wifi or cell data. I use it with SoundCloud, I downloaded all my songs off-line but the app tells me I still need Wi-Fi or cellular data weird isn’t it🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Bada$$ and Under-rated DJ app. Powerful DJ app! Competes with all pro- dj programs/apps!

Djay. Is fun to mess with even if you’re just old

So far so good!. I’m new to the digital world of spinning music but I can definitely see some benefits to having access to tons of music! Thanks Danny P

Amazing App I am using it since 1 year in my spinnig classes. Bravo. Amazing APP I use it to do my spinning class

Was good until new update.. As soon as this new update came out, the load function on my midi controller stopped working. It’s kind of problematic if you can’t load songs to the app... Please fix this.

Please make this industry standard. Love this software. It’s truly incredible. I can’t even believe the precision and dexterity this app offers by professional industry standards on a device the size of a piece of paper. It has crashed on me a few times and this particular time it crashed then I continued my set and then the screen froze after a few minutes of rebooting and wouldn’t allow me touch anything on the screen. You have all the features, focus on making this industry standard so you can focus on increasing stability for real - club level - performances.

Mad. Can’t use this if you have Apple Music so yeah low key mad because you k ow I wasted my time downloading this app for it not to work so yeah wast of time and not worth the effort of the energy so don’t get your hopes up when you try to use it. I would give it less than one star if I could

Legal changes gutted the app. All streaming integrations removed. Stealth change not in patch notes. DO NOT Support

Great App. It’s so useful and easy to use. Thanks a lot

Very disappointed!. Apple Music doesn’t work don’t waste your money and time with this app!

Disappointed. How is it that Spotify has the ability to work with this APP and Apple Music is DRM. the stuff I don’t have downloaded, it says turn on iCloud Library. Thing is it already is and when I click the songs I do have downloaded “DRM” When will this be sorted to level the playing field with Spotify

Love the Apple Music integration!. With the new Apple Music integration I’m having so much with this app! Please add in custom different timing loops then it will be perfect!

Sick. I love this app

La meilleur app pour djing. très bonne application pour apprendre le djing je pense en faire mon programme Dj no 1, j en ai essayer plusieur et je trouve celle ci Excellent sur mon portable et mon iPad je peut aller partout facilement merci ..

A little disappointed.... Ive loved this app since I was 12 and the features they've been adding have been exceptional, like neural mix for example is a big game changer, but, I can't use neural mix with Apple music or tidal? What is that about? Are there any future plans to have that enabled again? Or are we gonna see other features stripped as well? Great app other wise, will change star rating to 5/5 when this has been addressed.

Techno. Just like a trave and techno club during night!!

Broken after update. Used to work perfectly fine before the big update. Now the mixer accelerates and slows down music when you switch from song to song. Very annoying! Giving it a good rating because the app used to be good

Helps a lot!. Great app! Helps me to be a better DJ on my actual decks.

Awesome. Works as described

The COOL music is my LIFE. DJ The best

I love it. I love it

What?. I cant put a song on the disk

Won’t load track on iPad. Bought the pro version and still won’t load track. Did my research and found out that this has been an issue.

Good. I love this app is the best thing ever made

Pretty Nice app. I’ve been using djay for over 4 month and i really enjoy the quality that the app bring.

best. fire 🔥

No Apple Music. Does not work if you have Apple Music. You can only use music you have bought and have downloaded. It would be nice if we could use our music from Apple Music.

Just keeps getting better. This app makes mixing so easy it’s crazy. There is no excuse to have a boring party anymore.

Stupid app. I subscribed for the software. I prepared my play list for a party that we organized. At time that we wanted to play music it gave me the error 429!!! It ruined my play list. I did a researched and they said it is a know issue and they are working on it.I hate this stupid application. Never gone use it again🤮

Vraiment bien fait c est malade !👍🏻. Vraiment bien fait c est malade ! 👍🏻👍🏻

No neural button. This program I have is wack.. they don’t have a neural button

I tried and I deleted it (I had had a previous version for 10 years ? 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. It never loaded my iTune music except the ones I had bought (not my vinyls, cds…which have been digitalized) A waste of a waste

Sweet!. Hope you guys develop more features for for rev1 using the iOS otherwise it’s 10/10🙌🏾🙌🏾

Wicked Awesome......it’s a must!!!. It’s a must get DJ. I love it and would definitely recommend it to everyone..

Neural & Tidal. With the new streaming license that was just released with Tidal which does not allow the use of Neural is extremely disappointing, I will not be renewing my subscription.

Best app for the money.. With a very little effort, you’ll look like a professional DJ

Greasy, taste like bacon. Kevin. Bonne fête.

At past best dj app but now scam app. I bought the pro and djay 2 and djay versions, but with this update, the other versions I've bought are not in the company's list of products, and now that I want to work with this version, I'm still asking for money for the same functionality. More like a scam app than a professional program

Get ready to mix. This is the next generation djay mixing platform and you should buckle up! Everything is better from the last version. Get it now!!

Not worth the upgrade. I have used the DJay apps for many years from Djay 2to Djay Pro. The newest app from Djay is very confusing. The loading of a playlist for a party is more confusing than the previous apps. Also while you have a playlist playing and a friend want you to load a song in the middle of the playlist to play next it does not allow you to do that or I have not found a function for it. Overall it has more features, which is always good but unfortunately now requires you to pay a weekly subscription for it. I think this is very very inconvenient compared to djay Pro where it’s a one time payment for the app. I will now be deleting the newest app from Djay and reverting back to the old djay Pro. Very disappointed

I like the direction, but it seems unfinished.... I've been looking forward to being able to create playlists from multiple sources, so I'm happy about that. I also like the style of the new interface. There are some things missing that make it impossible for me to convert to this app just yet. 1. Automix AI. Fine idea. I desperately need to be able to turn it off though! It ruins the listening experience, starting songs too far into them and ending songs too early. 2. Importing my own music files directly into the DJay app. While I was able to import and okay a file, and save it to a playlist, when I reopened the app later the sing was greyed out and not available to play. 3. In DJay pro I was able to use Automix and the visualizer simultaneously. Now, if I start music in Automix and switch to the visualizer, Automix is cancelled. I'd like to be able to play Automix music with the visualizer playing because 1. I like it, and 2. because it's the only way to keep the screen from going to sleep without having to go into settings and manually turn off the screen sleep timer.

Djay is the #1 slept on DJ software. There’s soooo much stuff in here! It’s a great beginner software and has a lot of great integrations with music streaming services. It’s so nice to DJ with my iPad. I heavily recommend using this with a Pioneer DDJ-400. The looper and neural mix are features i simply refuse to DJ without at this point! I don’t wanna NOT give this app 5 stars, but I will say… something’s been going on with the latest update. My controller gets randomly disconnected and I can’t touch the screen every now and then. It’s like the app crashes without closing. It’s really inconvenient and consistently has happening every time I DJ. I hope this gets resolved soon in a patch.

The future of DJing. I’ve been a professional DJ for over 30 years and lived and worked through everything from carrying crates of vinyl, to CDJs, to ISB sticks, to laptops and all kinds of controllers. For the first time in many years I’m excited again by the Dejay software! I needed something easy to make some mixes in to share with my friends and wasn’t expecting how great Dejay would be. Now with stems, it opens up an entire new world for DJs. Remixing tracks using stems on the fly is mind blowing. Very impressed. Thank you!

So good so easy. The update from djay2 to djay initially was rocky for me as there was a lot going on in a tiny device. This new neural mix changes the game entirely, it’s not even a contest what to use if mobile mixing. Pack a usb deck plug into a power pack, connect to djay and a speaker and boom - it’s party time anywhere you have a data connection. My only feedback is that the subscription does not transfer devices (eg if you have it on your phone you have to sub on your iPad also, this is lame but doesn’t take away from the quality of the app at all).

Automix doesnt work on free version. Hi, i recently dowloaded this app, to replace my old version of djay (version 4.2.3). The auto-mix on the older version. was great! The one on this version is terrible, i cant get it to auto-play. Every time i try to start the automix function, it sends me back to the main page asking me to upgrade to pro. I only dowloaded the free version because i really just need the classic and automix functions. i would even pay for the basic version (classic and auto-mix) if it worked But It doesn't make sense for me to sign up for a $4.99 monthly plan when i only use the app to play music during xmas, new years and maybe 1-2 private parties, just for fun. So please tell me what i can do to use djay on my iPad ann iMac. Or Can i get the old version back? Tks

This is so RAD!. I always wondered how DJs do what they do, and I still wonder but I get why they are so important. This app allows you to step into that world and have fun controlling your music. I love how easy and addictive DJay is and can not stop playing around with all the settings. I pay to stream Apple Music and to be able to mix it with DJay is so awesome. I’ve tried other apps like WEDJ, and I could not access any of the music I pay a monthly subscription for. Please try this app and thanks to everyone who developed it.

Broken after update. I was about to dj a set, updated to make sure I was on the best version, now I can’t use the app at all without paying. How can you be allowed to turn a free app into a paid app without warning? Now I’m screwed unless I start paying. I realize you gotta make a buck, but at least give me a warning. EDIT: after paying for a month of pro the app does appear to still be working, just without a lot of features. That’s fine, I mostly just need the sync feature. This is a 5-star app but still deducting a star for the confusing licensing…

Great app. I’ve been using this app I think since 2011 give or take and it’s done nothing but get better. The ONLY gripe I have with it currently is that I can’t edit my track list when using it with TIDAL I can add music to a playlist but I have to go into the TIDAL app to remove it if I added it by accident. PLEASE I’m begging you guys to ad that functionality do this and it will continue to be perfect regardless it’s getting a 4 star from me but please work on this one little thing and I’m telling you it would go a looooong way for many I’m sure. Thanks

Using since it came out…almost there. Could use some video loop and sound effect updates …none in 4/5 years… also recent update has bugs on iPad, won’t let you use load button for other side, keeps saying there is already a track playing on side (whichever is) …in other words it will not let me load a song on to the empty channel without dragging … frustrating and unacceptable in A live environment… also only 1 vide view has direct access to Pitch controls still (+\-) waiting for years… some of us can actually mix and don’t auto.

This app is cool I used after 8 years but…. Very cool that when I can use the neutral mix that I can mix vocals into different songs with steaming services is jamming after 3 years 👍 But when this update just came up, This got the biggest problem ever. it changed to that we can’t do neutral mix to different songs with steaming services. So this Means I Have Lost all the respect from djay that has made to this application. So this means to me, that I gotta just download fav songs from mp3. Djay sorry that u just made this little kind of update. You never fail allowing to disappoint by disallowing the feature. 😒

#1 iOS DJ Software. Been using this app since vanilla Algoriddim Djay. And now Djay Pro AI made it even easier to use! I can mix with just the iPad and that is so convenient when practicing! Add a DJ controller for a more precise beat matching mix! Neural Mix is the best technology they have added and it is so easy to mix in and out now. Thank you Algoriddim!! IPad DJing is now the future I will be trending on from now on. With the cheap annual price they offer, you can spend the money they helped you save, on Dj pools, Dj gear upgrades, etc.. Keep up the good work Algoriddim.

It’s worth the price. I was super hesitant, but now that I bought it I am super happy. Just do it. There’s nothing better. Traktor for iOS is dead. The subscription perfectly works for all devices so I have it on my Mac on my iPad and my iPhone consider that and definitely worth the price. One desperate feature I do want however is the ability to sync the analyzed database between all my devices, and then patiently waiting for metadata editing. Other than that it’s amazing. So happy to support and looking forward to the new features when they’re ready hopefully soon.

Really quite nice. I’ve been using djay to spin at tailgates for a large supporters group at soccer games for the last year or so. I have a DJ controller and serato, but I love being able to pack up the PA and just take my headphones, splitter and phone with me to games no worries about the other gear getting stolen. I listen to a lot of music on SoundCloud and with pro subscription my playlists are easily available for mixing. I’ll also toss a playlist onto auto mix just sitting on the porch with my wife. The same iOS subscription also works with the desktop version so I’m moving away from Serato even for that.

Subscription is not the way.. Although this app looks really really good design wise, I don’t think Subscribing to get all the features we had in djay 2 and djay pro. We should just be able to to pay one simple fee for everything. Not pay monthly. For the people who owned djay 2 and djay pro with all the features we paid for they should transfer over to this app so at least we can get what we all ready had. The fact that we have to subscribe for the features we already paid for in djay 2 and djay pro is stealing from us because we paid only ounce for those features and now we have to pay monthly. I don’t think I’m going to switch use this app for a while. Probably never because I want to have the features I use on a daily without having to pay for them monthly.

waw. The software is amazing i don’t know where to start the stems the auto gain the new the fact that it’s so clean and yet powerful at the same time i feel like people use to not take this software serious but now they do it’s up there just a bit higher then the average dj software this one is the one….. i’ve tried serrato virtual dj and this is the one im sticking with i use this on mac and iphone but i can’t wait to upgrade to an ipad just makes you stand out from the other dj’s 10 stars very good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Djay is a squeeze on the consumer. The app works well, but I’m disappointed with all the accessibility issues. For one, there isn’t a valid reason why the app should be subscription based. All of the functionality remains the same, why must we keep paying for the same software? It would make sense if djay provided music, but it doesn’t, so another subscription is required to use the app. In addition to this, djay only works with certain streaming services and access to these particular services are at the arbitrary whim of the company. This would be fine if djay would at least allow users to use their own mp3 files, but now they’ve removed that. If other third party services are required to use djay , I don’t think it’s valid for djay to be subscription based as well.

Hands down the best DJ app around. What isn’t there to like about this app? They’ve clearly taken feedback from users into consideration to craft a near-flawless, highly intuitive program that appeals to casual, novice and professional consumers without over complicating things. The one thing that I wish they’d fix is the loop feature. There needs to be a manual selection for splices that fall outside of the 1,2,4,8, and 16-beat selections. That’s been my longtime need with this app. Other than that, it’s almost perfect. Oh yeah - one more thing. The subscription has to go away. Let me buy it outright and go on with my day.

I love it! Hard to leave.. maybe don’t need to. I’ve been using this app for about 2 years, and I love it. I mostly mix my own tracks I make through Ableton. I’ve gotten much better, with both production and mixing, and I’m ready for the next steps. Hard to imagine not using this app, moving forward. DJ friends say yes, but it would be hard to leave. May just have to bring my tablet everywhere I go..to play. Hmmm… much lighter to move around, and definitely more cost effective. Thanks!! I love it! Not leaving anytime soon..

The beat matching is broken. I have been a user since they had their audio version and video version separated. Now, since they have became a AI version of the app for some reason their attempt in beatmatching is broken. I mean how can one use their matching service if the song i am playing (for example there is one that is 101 bpm) and you suggest that I use a track that is 150 bpm. I mean didn’t you forget the rule that it has to be at least 5 bpm in either direction to do a smooth transition. Basically I am playing a game of beat the track where I go through the list and analyze each track to even see if there is even a attempt to use the tracks to see if there’s a useable song to transition to.

Library of samples, loops, effects, AutoMix, and video!. I’m in love. $50 for everything. Ev, ery, thing.. You really need something to send to the mixer or speakers, otherwise, no controller needed. Pyle makes a great 60 mini mixer with mic input, and there you go. Use your iTunes music or tidal for streaming, tidal even streams music videos. Mix popular songs with their respective music videos. And easy to learn, just keep mixing everyday anywhere. I could continue to rave about it, but for $50 a year this is something you need to consider for your iPad. I use the M1 iPad, but I bet this would work fine with an iPad Air.

Ugh. Missing features AND a subscription? Forget it. While we all appreciate the continued Developement and refinement (There are some good things in the new version) I refuse to acknowledge it for now. The devs really are hungry for that cash huh? My recommendation is price the App at where you want it. Stop with the subs and at least offer the people who have purchased the previous two versions an upgrade price. Or if you want to do a sub try ALSO offering a one time buy or “lifetime sub”. Even professionals who use these apps regularly can’t be bothered with 100 $5 -$50 subs a month. Between Adobe, Avid and a smattering of iOS apps and TV and news subs this App Store world is bleak indeed and or Developers are going to learn what happens when users reach subscription fatigue. For Pete’s sake what a bunch of greedy *.

So cool and so easy to learn and use as a beginner. Let me start by saying that I am an absolute rookie. I bought the pioneer ddj200 smart controller and it links to my phone via Bluetooth. I have been using that, along with beatport link to access an online music collection. This is by far the easiest DJing tool I’ve ever used, and the amount of features built into an app on my phone is insane. I’m blown away at how easy this is to use. Really looking forward to practicing and becoming better. Thank you Algoriddim for this amazing app!

My first review. I’ve had this app for years and it was definitely worth the attention. My my mixes were off the chart with the assistance of this revolutionary tech. One downside was they stop allowing recordings on the app itself and due to copyright infringements they discontinued the ability to record from within. In any event, you can adjust this difficulty with an outsource recorder and a mixer. Run the application through the mixer as well (record). Sure wish they would reconsider this option on the application. I believe it would make the app awesome.

Sold my MK2’s in 08 , this is my 2nd coming. Love this.. very new to The the app but I’m all in. A 45 junkie, I’m able to do what I once loved without the gear. I intend on building up my arsenal again, perhaps bringing hip hop back in some capacity Comments part 2 … love this! Cannot stop using this app. It’s used more than any app on my phone. Only complaint.. trying to migrate my account to win 10, and although I’m sure it’s because it’s a different operating system in general , I seem to have to buy the app again. Migration of content a non issue , just the app itself. Small price to pay

Was a great app before this terrible update.. Let me first say, I loved the Djay Pro app before it became this. I had been using Djay Pro, the iPad Version, for years. I paid 9.99 when it first came out, and I fell in love. Fast forward to years later, the Djay Pro app I paid for had been replaced with this free “Djay” app. I updated, only to find that my favorite app had been replaced with this trash, add-filled mess of an app. Plus, I originally paid for Djay, and now all that got me was a trial of their subscription based service. Why Djay, WHY! You ruined a great paid, professional app with a free, but subscription based app that is amateur and bad, with zero regard for the people who willingly paid the 10-30 dollars on the pro version. If they could bring back the old Pro version and leave this app as the free version, that would be fantastic.

DJPro. Lotsa fun for the armchair dj or if you just love music. Several streaming services that sync to this app. If you want the full experience of the tons of features in this app make sure to also download at least some of your own music. STEMS is not available on streamed music due to change in licensing. With your own music you can separate beat, harmony, etc. Overall, there’s a lot of FX available, a beat machine that you can sync to tracks. Option for FOUR tracks to mix at the same time. Too much stuff too mention. Well done developers, pls keep the updates coming!

Better than PaceMaker app!. I always used PaceMaker app to listen to and DJ music with my iPhone, but this year Pacemaker+ started charging a insane high price for the Pacemaker app to cover Pacemaker’s own digital streaming music catalog !?! I do not DJ music from a streaming catalog of music, I use my own music from my own iTunes Library playlist on my iPhone that I sync from my Mac computer: I recently started using the djay app and discovered djay app is a wonderful alternative to Pacemaker: love using djay’s Automix function when I go for a run or workout! Highly recommended!

Great tool for beginners!!. I downloaded this because I had an idea and 3 months later I have a DDJ-FLX4 and soooo many more ideas and mixes to create. I have literally never written a review like this, but this subscription is very much so worth it. I can use it on my iPhone, iPad (first main use), and Mac (now main use with the controller). It’s awesome how versatile this is. When I plugged my controller into it, Djay had saved all of my presets and in my beginner mind that was so sick 🥹 The STEM splitting effect is the biggest plus to this platform if you want to create mixes, literally anything is possible.

Happy to see it evolve and easy to use. I’ve been using Djay for a few years and exudes to take it seriously. I use Beatport and have found this combination great and efficient to use. The loop section is my fav, I struggle with disability and I’m glad to know when I get control deck I can still use Djay. The layout is streamlined and intuitive to use, the Neural Mix Pro is excellent to work with. As someone with no musical experience I’ve enjoyed and learned greatly. The stability is impressive. I use an iPad or iPhone and look forward to mobile DJing and more with practice . Thank you all and great work.

100%. I don’t rate apps, if ever, but I’m for SURE rating this one! I’ve experimented with a lot of similar apps in the past and this one far surpasses all of them. I use this for hours literally every day, and after purchasing premium, I use it for all of my needs in terms of editing, or solely playing around for fun. It’s a very easy and straight forward, smooth, and helpful app that has a wide variety of different tools and uses. I’d verrrrrry highly recommend this to anyone who needs DJ style apps for whatever your need may be.

shoves monthly subscription in your face. Years ago i had purchased Djay 2, purchased as in paid for the service for a better version than free. After deciding to use my app again upon starting the app it prompts me to download their “new” and “updated” version for free with pro features unlocked which i thought was just, having paid for the services previously. That’s not the case I’ve gotten no pro version everytime I try to mess around with anything i get a pop up once again prompting me to purchase their monthly subscription for pro. It’s funny that it says this because they had me download the app that comes with “free pro” due to me purchasing an older version. This was a lie and just used as a hook to get me into downloading their awful app. I do not recommend.

Great App!. This app is great. I can’t afford a rev7 so I got this app and it’s incredible. I don’t like the 2 dimensional knobs or sliders but there is an option to use an external mixer in the settings which solves that concern. It’s got almost everything a rev7 does so it’s as close as it gets for a reasonable subscription fee. Try it before you subscribe but I bet you will like it. You can mix a set anywhere that you can hook up to Bluetooth speakers and do it all through your IPhone. I highly recommend it.

Perfect app for my short term need. I was requested to provide music for a family wedding. It was nothing fancy but they did request a fade during their processional then later, a cross fade between songs. The they wanted background music for the reception. I found this app on a search for best DJ apps for iPad and this was the top of the list. I was especially appreciative of the easy integration with my Tidal Pro subscription so that I didn’t have to waste time ripping various songs of CD. I easily could have used the free trial period and then cancelled, but was more than happy to subscribe for a month to show appreciation for the value the app provided me.

Love it but I have a problem with most recent update.. I absolutely love DJay. However, the most recent update is causing me a little problem. When selecting a file from my library that is a video file, the app will give a pop-up suggestion to open in the video view EVERY time! This means if I want to stay in a different view I have to close the pop-up every time I chose a video file. Can you make that a one time notification or an option to disable the pop-up in settings, please. Disregard my last....the problem has been corrected. Thank you.

They’ve gone and done it :(. One of the last “free” DJ bastions has fallen. Another company that has steadily been pushing towards a subscription based app with every update. With this last update, they’ve added a 3-5 song “limit” and it is daily. For someone who isn’t a professional dj and uses the app only to loop and tweak certain songs, this is quite disappointing. I’d gladly pay a one time fee for a non-commercial version of the app where you are limited to certain features. However, this is yet another company that has fallen to the subscription greed. Now I have to figure out a way to rollback the latest update 😡. Thanks for two enjoyable years…

Price Factor. I’ve always loved Djay, not as as a DJ (which I’m not) but as someone who enjoys the opportunity to learn things on his own without having to hire someone else. I’m also creative so I like to try different things. The push to make subscriptions a normative way to use apps has caused me to eliminate 80% of the apps I use. Why? Money. I’m not rich. I have compared paid models to subscription models and have found the increase in price to be extremely excessive to say the lease. Pricing models are not inevitable; they are invented by business leaders who want make money. I get it. If I used apps for business purposes, I would understand the value of subscriptions but I use them mostly as opportunities to learn new things and have fun. Unfortunately I won’t be learning or having as much fun as I used to. I remember many years ago when you could download Djay for free for the desktop. Even then, I found Djay to be one of a kind. I think the history I have with using apps informs my view of things. I think you are one the best developers out there. I wish you continued success. Unfortunately I will be observing from the sidelines.

Have to upgrade just to pre-cue. Had the fist version of this app and it was No longer supported when I updated my OS. It got glitchy with finding iTunes music playlist. So it was suggested by Algoriddim customer support that I download the current djay Pro AI to use instead and boy, I AM SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED, UPSET AND VERY ANGRY! Yes the issue with the iTunes music playlist was resolved and it shows up, but there are items I have issues with and they involve “upgrading” to the annual $50. The main issue was that the pre-cueing is an “upgrade” option. That is the most basics of djing. Having this as an upgrade option is infuriatingly cheap hit to nickel and dime a consumer. The second issue was that I have to “upgrade” in order to use my controller. Fine I get that aspect, but this is a 7 year old simple controller- the Numark iDJ Live. Not a current fancy one. The third issue (so far) was the absence of the FX pad I have enjoyed utilizing (probably because I didn’t have effects knobs on my controller and most current controllers do so I assumed that was the reason for the exclusion of the FX pads). Algoriddim, please fix this!

Fun, easy tool to remake music (Worth the price). When I got this app I introduced to a verity of tools that allow me to take music and turn it into something new and creative. I can save my favorite creations and listen to them or even change them whenever I please. The one thing I don’t like is that you have subscribe to Djay Pro to get the full assortment of tools, but if you just like to mess with music the non-pro version is just as good. This app can be used by anyone, no experience required. I truly find fun and creativity in this app.

Best in class for other beginner iPad DJs!!!!. (Aug, 2023) This app works great with my pioneer DDJ-200. I tried my best to work with rekordbox (since it’s one of the pro standards in the U.S.) mobile app but sooooo many features were lacking or just not there when my controller was connected. So I let go of my stubbornness and decided to try DJay Pro and it has far exceeded my expectations!!!!! So if you’re like me and new to the craft with the most affordable controllers and an iPad, give this app a go and see how awesome it is! AND I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS SO YOU CAN COUNT ON THIS ONE

Almost 5 stars. So i used this app for a while when i had a beatpad 2 and mixon 4 for ios and they worked pretty flawless but then i wanted more controller options so switched to cross dj but now with pretty much being able to map any midi controller and how well it works with ddj 200 ive switched back on a free trial of the current djay since i had purchased PRO version way back. Im thinking of keeping subscription its just id like to be able to add fx on the loops/clip section . But other than that this app is great a lil confusing at first but thats because it gives you a lot of options

Needs some work/touching up. New interface is nice but a lot of tools have changed and offers minimal to no customization. Key example: The loop format doesn’t allow quick loops anymore with Out button. Other things to note, all set cue points from previous app version were discarded after upgrade. Can not scan and analyze all music for BPM rates. Cover art on vinyl is small now & still no Apple Music integration. I know this new format is fairly new but it needs some work. I loved this app in the previous version and hope it reverts back to having some of its original controls. “If it’s not broke don’t try and fix it” . In this current state it’s not worth the price. Hopeful for some updates in the near future.

Read this, you might need to see it:. When I got this app, I was excited! But when I saw that in order to basically USE this app, I was downhearted. In order to do everything else, you need to pay for the pro subscription. Which is both annoying and stupid. Now I’m not saying this is a bad app, it’s good! But you need to do something about that pro subscription!!! Can’t y’all at least make it to where we can use anything else without paying for the subscription? It would help our bank accounts more than ever. Sincerely, - Annonymous.

Misleading “Free” App. To start with, this app is advertised as being a free app with tons of features that you can use, and if you want to pay the “optional” subscription to access the additional features you can. I’ve used the app for free for a little over a year now with little to no issues. Mostly used it to mess around with my own music; not really using any of the effects or other features minus the tempo slider. As of two days ago or so, I suddenly started getting this issue where when I play my music through the app, after a song or two it will stop, and give me this message stating something along the lines of: “You have hit the maximum length of access. Upgrade to pro to unlock unlimited access.” Now mind you this is MY music, not theirs, and I am not streaming it either. So basically this is a evaluation app not a free app, as after a certain point you can’t even listen to your music anymore. On top of the pesky reminders to buy the pro version this app is trash. If this is changed I will consider changing my review and rating.

Effects could use work. Great app that almost hits all the marks. Beat jumps? Check. Beat grids? Check. Nudging? Check. Reverb effect that has long tail after turning off? Ummmm... See, I’m used to Traktor Pro 3 on a laptop and their implementation of reverb, where the effect keeps ringing even after you turn it off. Not so here. Turning on reverb begins the effect but suddenly cuts off once you turn it off. Hence the loss of one star. Otherwise you guys have done an incredible job and this worked well with my Reloop Mixtour for ultimate portability! And to the person complaining about track loops and sync and overall frustration with their poor mix? Learn to beat grid. Don’t just assume that track you bought from Beatport, Juno, or any other store will be perfectly gridded for syncs or loops. Put the time into learning how your grid will affect your mix. Practice, experiment, have fun, but don’t blame algoriddim for your poor recording.

Great software with loads of features!. I got Djay pro for my iPad after a few years of using Serato on my Mac. I wanted to be able to have a more portable way to keep the party going. It was super user friendly and has a ton of cool features that are easy to use. But the feature I use the most on this app is it’s auto mix feature. I pick a playlist before my commute and the app makes a mix that can be changed in real-time. It’s a fantastic feature that I didn’t know I wanted/needed. This app also connects to a lot of different midi controllers and works great with my pioneer controller. This is my favorite app!

Subscription: no way!. Been buying this from since it was first released. Downloaded this one to to enable the review: Will be deleted right away. Subscription pricing is a rip off: people want to get paid in perpetuity for no work. You sell a product I like, I pay for it; you negligently ship it with bugs, you fix them for free. You add significant new features, you make a new major version, and I decide if it’s worth buying, or if what I have satisfies my needs. That’s honest business. I wish upon all companies who do subscription pricing, that others do the same onto them: office chairs that charge each time you sit down, doors that charge each time you open or close then, your bed is on renewal, and if your credit card number changes, and you forget to update them: all you find are spikes when you try to sleep. Your blue couch in the living room is unexpectedly suddenly “upgraded” to a neon orange one, and half your things are suddenly on the floor because it was decided that the “cabinets” feature isn’t used by enough people, and thus was simply removed. Laziness! You want your users to pay you for the product, the fixing of the bugs, the development of changes to the product (that they may not even want or like), and even for the downtime.

Best way to learn Djay. Only way to listen to your music same way can image that done in the studio. Wondering if doing it right but hearing people ask you who your listening to way you can make it sounds. I have to use it every day must grab once the pro feature is bought allows you the same editing techniques you get in a studio anyone who wants to learn this is your only tool without an expensive mixer show you in and out before buying one to have confidence in using just fun

Nice scam. Nice scam 🤣 why even make Apple Music an option when on your website it says you can’t use Apple Music’s songs so it’s probably the same with other apps too right? Just have the apps there to get downloads and subscriptions and then let them realize they can’t actually use any of the music they have downloaded after they’ve subscribed for $50 lol this is pathetic just like all the other DJ apps on here they’re never worth it anymore it’s all the same run around. Charge will be disputed if it’s taken from me I didn’t pay to not be able to play a single song that I have. I’m begging one of these DJ apps to do better I mean seriously this is just ridiculous at this point there’s not a single useful DJ app on the App Store they’re all subscription scams

Better than the subscription price. I’ve been a Djay user since I got a 10.5 iPad Pro back in 2018. I even paid for djay pro and bought all the effects. This new version, Djay Pro AI is a giant leap forward and within an hour of playing the new version on an iPad mini 5 with the A12 chip, I knew I’d be keeping the subscription and was well impressed with the new technology. I was an all vinyl club DJ back in the 90’s, this new AI app quite literally has addressed a mile long wish list I had 25 years ago. The HD video available on Tidal is another level added to all the super dope features.
