Fantastic support!. I had some difficulty getting EpocCam to talk to my computer at first; my email to support was answered literally in minutes, during coronavirus lockdown when usage of online communications apps is at a sudden all-time high, with a lot of 1st time users who are likely to need support. I hadn’t realized FaceTime doesn’t support 3rd party webcams. When I tried it w Skype it worked immediately, very easy.

Simply DOES NOT WORK on MacBook & iPhone. Does not work even though I’ve got the latest MacBook Pro 16” and latest iPhone 11 Pro Max. I installed the EpocCam driver first on MacBook as required. Launched the app on iPhone. It tried connecting over WiFi. Nope! So I connected iPhone to MacBook with lightning cable, and then it worked finally... but only worked for 2 minutes before completely freezing indefinitely!! Seriously?? What a terrible app and waste of my time. I even restarted both devices to see if that would help. It didn’t! To add insult to injury it’s not simple to uninstall the driver from your MacBook either. Do yourself a favor and avoid this piece of junk.

Awesome app!. In all this crunch to work from home webcams are at a premium so being able to turn an iPhone or iPad into a webcam is a great idea. So far with my test it seems to work, although I have to use the rear facing camera and I need a mount to hold it but it does work as advertised. It shows up in Zoom and that is the primary one I use at the moment. I also want to test it in obs to see if I can stream. I am hopeful. If it let you use the front facing camera it’d be a 5 star app!

No audio. I can’t find any info on whether this should be sending audio in addition to video. If it can’t, this is going to be useless to me. I installed and reinstalled but it does no send audio from my phone to PC. Is it supposed to? Most Webcams contain a mic, so this is not a replacement for one if it doesn’t. If you have a direct connection instead of WiFi, there should be no lag issues so at least offer that. If I’m not doing something wrong, the. The app description should clearly state video only. Giving it a 3 for lack of audio information or troubleshooting.

Neat app. And free.. I just downloaded it and am getting used to how it works. It’s outputting an SD signal (4:3 instead of 16:9), which is less than ideal, but it certainly will get the job done when I need an extra angle. It only sends the video to my computer when the app is active on my phone, which makes sense. It installed two virtual cameras on my computer (probably front and back, though I can’t test it yet bc the front camera is currently locked), and I don’t know whether you can use both at the same time or not. If not, then I’m anticipating some difficulty switching between them on the fly. It says at the bottom that if I review the app, I can access the front camera as well, so here’s hoping that works.

Sort of works, not everywhere. Does not detect iPhone orientation so can only be used in one orientation (the opposite of what works on my desk) Popup ads are annoying but as I have to use the rear camera due to the limit on the orientation, I don’t care much (it is the annoying type that depends on you clicking by mistake and throwing you to other places) Under Mac, I got it to work with zoom after upgrading zoom to 5.0.5. Works with Microsoft teams. Failed to get recognized by Skype, even with their signature removal instructions. Didn’t try Webex yet. Doesn’t work with photo booth. Has a button for flash/hd on the free version to send you to the sales pitch page for the paid version. If the free version didn’t use all the annoying tricks for the ads and fake buttons I might have paid for the paid version.

Great Concept / Needs Some Potential Work. Until I’m able to test the full version I give this at minimum a 4-star. It was very easy to setup and connected immediately after installing drivers on my Windows computer. I need to fully test w/in a meeting but it seems promising. I really didn’t want to buy another device (webcam) so being able to use my iPad as a camera seems like a real positive to me. Only complaints far and this might be a deal breaker for me is that I want so work only in landscape mode ...

DO NOT BUY! POTENTIAL PC BREAKER. The app is not the problem but rather the software on your computer. I downloaded the software from the official site and thought nothing of it. I wasn't too happy with the connectivity issues so I went on to try and delete the software. It took me a good hour to get it off of my computer and when I had done a virus scan, it said it was a Trojan file. I should have scanned the files before I downloaded them but luckily I found videos online and got them off my computer as quickly as I could. For the app, I'm sure it is fine but the software on the computer could potentially give you a very bad virus. My advice is to find another app.

Just started using it. I just started using this app by downloading the free version and see about the setup and use on Teams. So far, so good. It seems to be easy to use and with a fair share of settings. Image quality looks great, although I haven’t fully tested it yet (you need to rate it before actually use it, which is weird) I’ll see what happens and then if I like what I see then I may get the upgrade version for better image quality.

It’s cool, but.... This works on windows computer, but it doesn’t work on Mac. I have installed the driver on my Mac and I try to change cameras to EpocCam but there isn’t an option. I’ve looked around online and I’ve looked at the website from where I installed the driver and it didn’t help at all. The only thing that works is the microphone which I can’t access without pro.

Great little app. My laptop is connected to three external displays through the docking station and I keep my laptop closed while I’m working. It was a hassle to open my laptop to be able to use the camera every time I have a meeting. A quick online search and Epocam was suggested to use my phone camera as a webcam. The process is super easy, in less than 5 minutes I had Epocam installed on both my Windows 10 and my iPhone. I have been using it for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meetings, Skype and GoToMeeting. I have been using it for 2 months and have zero complaints. Plus it’s free. 5 stars for me

Excellent!. I’m a university instructor teaching hybrid in-person/online courses this semester, which requires me to stream my in-person lectures via Zoom. I want to be able to control Zoom from my computer but if I use the computer’s built-in camera, students can’t see the whole board/ classroom. Now I can put my phone on a tripod in the middle of the room, use the phone’s camera as my computer’s Zoom camera, and everything works perfectly!

Won’t connect to Camera Hub, wired nor wireless. I’m using an iPhone XS Max and Windows 10. I’ve fully uninstalled and reinstalled twice, tried WiFi and ethernet both, all available configurations of USB ports and Lightning to USB adapters and nothing happens. Camera Hub just stays on the connecting screen as does the iPhone app. It seems like most of the elgato support/YouTube videos are for the driver-only install, before the Camera Hub app came out. Maybe this is just a bug or something, but it definitely does not work for me according to current install instructions.

THE DRIVERS ARE A VIRUS. DO NOT BUY.. Before I got my webcam, I tried this product about a week ago. After realizing it was garbage, I stopped using it. A day or so later, Discord stopped working and I had to get the test build to run it at all. My pc kept crashing when I played games. Yesterday My pc had a blue screen of death with the drivers name in the error message. Today I restarted to reset an adapter that disconnected. The pc would not start up again with more blue screens of death instead of a startup screen, repairs failed, and I am now in the process of factory resetting the machine. I had complicated OBS overlays and 20 HOURS in Satisfactory, a game that takes a lot of patience and hard work to progress. If steam and epic didn’t save your purchases on the cloud, I’d be suing this company. DO NOT USE.

Initial Setup is a Breeze!. This initial review is based off of the beginning setup. Using a Windows or MAC, simply click the links in the App’s description. Afterwards, download the App. Follow the instruction, open OBS Studio. Choose the EpocCam Camera from ‘Device’ after choosing ‘+’ - ‘Video Capture Device’ Make sure to have iTunes pre-installed, running and setup to recognize you’re iPhone or iPad. I left iTunes running, but minimized. So far, easy to setup! I hope it continues to have support!!

Only rating so I can use front camera. 2 Stars because I despise apps which require a rating prior to giving its users the opportunity to experience the app we’re being told to rate. The installation went fine so far, but the back camera on my phone is broken and Kinoni requires I submit a rating in order to use the front camera with the “free version” of this app. I will update my rating and review if after actually using the app I feel its functionality and usefulness outweighs my feelings toward this requirement.

Testing this out but not true review yet.. Giving this a shot since filmora only gives 2 options for iPhone, this or another app, to use as a wireless webcam so we shall see. I’ll update the review once I get more use of it. But off the bat, I think it’s kinda low that they don’t give you use of both front and rear facing cameras in the free version. I think that should be standard but definitely is not here. I’m also assuming I can’t connect wirelessly until I upgrade because when I try to click the wireless icon it does nothing. I’ll try it out and update once I have used it more but it looks like I have no choice but to upgrade to use the features I actually need.

THIS IS PERFECT WITH NDI!. Maaaan!! I can’t tell you how blown away I was when I tried this using the NDI protocol instead of just basic Wi-Fi. It was PERFECT streaming wirelessly with NDI as I plugged my phone with a cable straight to the computer !!! If you get NDI software on your computer and run Webcam Input , you should be able to see your device and …….man you will be blown away by the quality 👌👌👌👌

Very buggy. Installed and uninstalled twice. Connecting to Windows 10 (yes updated) using Kinoni’s drivers and own viewer/test app. Installed and uninstalled drivers twice too. No joy. Third time worked for a single session. Then not again. Reboot, reinstall... Boo Hmmm let’s try USB! Yup. Worked. Each and every time/launch. But I want WiFi. Yes, I’m connected to the same network. Checked that. But... let’s take even the router out of the equation. Configured static IPs. Want to do that anyway and not be connected to the internet while using it for certain situations. Ooh... it’s working. Great. Closed app and viewer. Had dinner. Hey guys look at this... Opened the app and viewer back up. Not working! Oh come on guys!!!! Can’t you get anything to be consistent? I’d purchase the full product for sound/HD etc. if this actually worked. Doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen. Or I’ll get a response here either. Too bad. Looked promising. I really should rate it one star. :(

Good but confusing. When I first got this it was very promising. Automatically detects devices and connects on the same WiFi? Awesome! You can use it anywhere within WiFi range and with pretty good quality for a free software. Of course it would’ve been nicer to have a free 720p or native phone camera resolution but I’ll take what I can get. Users should only pay for filters that they could apply, or more recording features like slow mo. The. UI is so simple that it is confusing, I would want helper messages to get my phone connected more smoothly. It took many tries and I’m sure next time I use it, it will take more repetitive tries because it isn’t predictable. All in all though a good free webcam.

Good Solution. I must say I’m pleasantly surprised so far. I installed the app on my windows PC and my iPhone and when I did it correctly ( I didn’t read the instructions and install iTunes at first. When I did it worked perfectly) it worked with Microsoft Teams. I’m using a cable. No hiccups. I haven’t used it live yet but tonight I have a zoom meeting so I’m gonna hook it up to my MacBook Pro and try it. I’ll do an update tonight after my zoom meeting.

Great when working. Connection is hit or miss. When it works, it’s great. When it doesn’t, it’s frustrating and you end up resorting to the crap laptop camera. I’ve noticed the camera app always has a hard time connecting to my laptop when I need to use it 😑 even with USB connection. They’ll play ad after ad after ad and when it comes time to connect, the phone will remain searching for the pc WHILE LITERALLY CONNECTED via USB. The ads I get. The lack of successful connection, I don’t. I’ve troubleshoot it many times...still hit or miss. Hopefully an update will get this sorted, as this will been helpful in distance learning.

So far..... At the moment, it doesn’t work. I start the app viewer on my computer and all I see is a blank white page. It doesn’t have controls on it like it shows in the video of how to setup. I’m sure once it works it is probably awesome, but at the moment, it’s worthless. I’m not computer illiterate btw. I’ve done quite a bit of writing my own computer programs, at one point using machine language. So it’s very likely not user error. I will work on it to see if I can correct the issue and get it working and post back if I do. Update... After uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them, it magically started working. Sometimes that’s all it takes but so weird it didn’t install correctly the first time. Anyway is working perfectly now and even for lower quality video being sent over (limit being it’s the free version), it still looks great. Very impressed.

Basic features locked by pay wall. Setting up the app was remarkably simple - you can even airdrop the installer from your iOS device to your Mac. I did have to restart zoom though to get it to recognize the feed (not mentioned in the setup details). All was going well until I tried to turn on the flashlight - and it was disabled at the OS level (ie, I opened up the control panel and couldn’t activate the flashlight). The developers went out of their way to do this and the only way to unlock it is to buy the paid version. I understand paying for features that developers build, but it’s absurd to pay to unlock a feature that is literally built into the device.

Surprisingly works as advertised. So, it goes without saying that a lot of 3rd party apps don’t exactly live up to user expectations based on the way the apps are demonstrated in the App Store. Unlike the experience I just described above, Epocam has so far done exactly what it promises with zero frustration, glitches, or anything other than a smooth, seamless installation and working “plug n play” process. Good job devs!

So far so good.... I’ve been using this app for about a day now and so far everything seems fine. Only complaint that I have is when running on OBS I get a lil text below my screen that’s advertising there stuff, which is sorta annoying because I am streaming and get asked what the text says. Other than that it is a pretty impressive app, I am considering paying for the 8 dollar one if the text doesn’t show up on my stream.

Unstable Connection. I've tested this with multiple devices but I get the same results: The connection sometimes doesn't occur and you have force close and relaunch the app on both devices again and again until it connects. When you connect, on my Windows device, connection notification keeps popping up, and whenever notification pops up, camera feed freezes briefly, meaning that it keeps loosing the connection and makes the feed very very laggy. All these connection problems make the app unreliable. You cannot change the resolution or quality of the video and you cannot record within the app. There's no annoying floating watermarks by the way, just one in the corner.

Update: epoc stopped working properly after first test. Update 8/3/30: How interesting that EpocCam no longer works after my first test. I had a meeting and my app and laptop couldn’t connect (they are on the same WiFi) and then I used a usb cable and my camera froze once it connected, and not able to use the front facing camera. And the ads are super long when you start up the app. Another update: it works when testing but not when I’m in a meeting/class. It freezes when it first connects. 8/2/20 My MacBook camera is not working (it’s a common problem with my type and the Apple store is closed in my town due to Covid) so I needed a webcam for my Zoom meetings. I tested this app out since it’s been promoted by many bloggers who have tested it and it seems to be working great through WiFi! Of course there is a 1-2 second lag but that’s to be expected. I’m going to see if it works on my work desktop computer via usb. I wanted that front camera working so here is my review! (Leave a review to have the front camera working)

Does not work in the slightest. I installed the app on my iPad and tried to get it to work with my Windows 11 PC both wirelessly and via USB cable, neither worked in any way. The app just sits trying to connect to the PC. The PC, running Elgato Camera Hub, just sits there not finding any cameras. The troubleshooting documentation does not know about Camera Hub so has a bunch of outdated instructions for the older driver method. That said, I tried following the information as best as I could, but nothing changed the situation. After about an hour I gave up and uninstalled everything.

No Mac Support for Teams. I download this app and would very much like to use this as my primary camera for my Microsoft teams meeting however I have not been able to find any way to do so. They’re only reference to this is saying that it does not currently work. With someone from the development team please give me an idea if this is being planned or if support for Microsoft teams on the Mac should be expected. I would gladly pay for the paid version if this was available.

Epoccam good luck. My first go around was not great. I installed the window driver and the app on my phone. When I started the epoccam viewer, I only had a white screen. Did some research but came up with nada. So I uninstalled everything. Later I decided to give it another try. But this time before I installed the window driver, I closed all other programs. This time things work as they should. However, the next day it was back to showing s white screen even though the driver said that my phone was connected. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled. Still doesn't work. Looks like it's a crap shoot.

Worse than computer cam. I‘m teaching fitness courses through zoom, and there are issues with lagging, so the video and audio don’t always synchronize. I thought having my phone as a camera might help, but a simple test run shows poorer video quality. I have to upgrade for better 😡 I‘m not paying if I don’t know if the quality will be better or not! And stupid ads keep showing up, which makes it difficult to transmit a video. Don’t recommend unless you plan to buy the full version.

My Web Cam Search is over!!!. I can’t believe the days I have spent searching for a WebCam. The good ones are sold out. I did a search for iPhone as a WebCam and found this app. It only took minutes to get it up and going. With this review I should be able to use the front screen of my camera. I’m not a wiz on computers, so I had my doubts as to how well I would do loading this. It was effortless! So far, I can’t complain.

The only thing that works is the ads! 🙁. I downloaded the free version of EpocCam to my iPhone XS Max to see how it works in making my iPhone work as a webcam for my iMac and MacBook Pro. I would have been happy to pay for the full version had the app actually worked. After installing the drivers on both my Macs, and rebooting in case that was the problem, and with everything on the same WiFi — and even with my phone plugged in with a USB cable, EpocCam free just didn't work. In Zoom, EpocCam doesn't even list as a webcam option. In Chrome, the EpocCam is listed as an option, but the video freezes the moment you choose it. My iPhone, iMac and my MacBook Pro are all running the latest OS, so that's not it. On my Macs, the EpocCam driver notifies me faithfully when I plug my phone in to USB and start the app in my phone. That shows me the Macs and phone are communicating via EpocCam, its just not working. Maybe it's not supposed to work on the free version, but there's no way I'm going to pay if I don't even know it's going to work. I just wasted all this time, and now I have to figure out how to uninstall their useless software from my two Macs.

Great for MAC computers and Zoom. I have had an uptick in Zoom meetings and see it being an application I will use more regularly with changing environments. So far, I love this app. Although I had my webcam from my laptop it still wasn’t the quality I desired. Although I have just experienced the free version, I will most likely purchase the 7.99 option since I don’t want to buy a new web cam at the moment.

It’s fine but…. this version of the app has essential features locked, reserved for the upgraded Pro version. Alright, no problem. The upgrade is less than $10 and you only need to buy once. Except it’s actually a completely separate app, instead of the same app with all features unlocked. Again, fine. Or so I thought. Long story, truncated: After months of trying, I’ve never been able to get the Pro version of this app to connect to my computer. I’ve tried all connection options, reinstalling app, reinstalling computer software, rebooting, alternative software from same company, checking drivers, anything i could think possibly think of to no avail. I thought maybe it’s just the version number, I can’t be the only one, I’ll just wait for the company to update, and with any luck, it’ll be fixed. Nope. So if you don’t mind being limited to only some features while being constantly reminded of what you can’t do, and your recordings proudly displaying an ugly watermark, Epocam is your app.

New User - Jury’s Still Out. Not crazy about all the ads popping up, and don’t much like that I can’t use the front camera until I rate the app (which I *just* started using!), but for such a simple to use, and free, tool, it might be worth it. If not, I’ll switch to a paid app, or a paid version of this one if it makes it more seamless. In any case, hats off to the developers! Looking forward to getting started!

Works pretty good. I am using this on google meet when I want to show my class what I am drawing or writing. I don’t mind that there are ads because I put the phone in its holder get it going and you don’t see the ads on the meet. I have noticed when I have the camera set on my computer viewing me my face never buffers or lags. When I change my camera to EpocCam I notice what I am doing on the screen does. Annoying when I have a bunch or first graders saying my screen isn’t moving or changing. I was nervous so I stopped using the app for this purpose the last couple of days. I started holding my board up after I wrote. I want to figure out why it was doing this. I am using an Iphone with my MacBook.

Ad Overkill on 2nd use. So I just downloaded this app as my Mac doesn’t have a camera. On the first use, it looked good. I closed the app, re-opened it because I was trying to flip the camera on my iPad (haven’t discovered if or how to do that yet), but immediately full screen ads started showing up on the iPad which were annoying because you have to watch them to regain access. Then I receive a message saying “rate the app to start using front facing camera”. I can’t confirm, but I’m expecting that if I want the ads to go away, I’ll have to make an in-app purchase. Overall it’s cool. Let’s see how it works with Zoom, but I’m annoyed with the immediate annoying full screen ads already.

Borderline Malware. After much mental debate, I installed the driver on my Windows 10 workstation. It immediately started consuming 100% of my CPU resources. 6 cores, 12 threads. My machine became completely unusable. I couldn’t even open Windows settings to uninstall it because it was unresponsive. I had to reboot into Windows Safe Mode to be able to uninstall it. I am kicking myself for being so trusting of a system level driver from an unknown company. Never again! The only reason I don’t call it full-on malware is because it does appear to have uninstalled. I can’t find any further traces of it, but I sure am worried.

Don’t waste time if you have Mac.. For OBS you do not need these apps. Please don’t buy. Tried the free app. Kept dropping the WiFi connection. Said I needed to pay to use usb, which the app description said was available with the free version. Paid to upgrade and I doesn’t work. In OBS I see the feed in can see the video of me moving but it is blocked by a spinning black fan and says “Waiting for connection” never goes away. After 30 minutes of research online I realize... my phone was feeding screen shots to my computer without an app. I can just use the Apple camera app and USB connection. It’s already a webcam.

A frustrating beginning.. So, I had tried the Wi-fi solution offered, and the wired solution offer, and I never got the connection. I kept seeing the connection visual, so that confused me as to whether this would work or not. What finally worked was connected both devices to my extender, a TP-Link RE450. That worked. I just tried again using my TP-Link A7 V5 router, and it worked there too. I thought that the traffic was prohibiting things. I want to encourage my other teachers to use this, but I don’t think they will find the set-up process helpful. First of all, I never did get an icon on my device (Apple Mac Pro 2017), I had to go into finder to see the the plug-in. I also had to go to my system activity page to see it was working. Your suggestions did not work, but opening up Microsoft Teams and UberConference did. Sadly, no integration with Discord. I am now encouraged to buy the full version to see how well that works there. I want to recommend the free version to my students. I think they will appreciate it.

A free app thats actually free but worth paying for. This app is very promising even for a free app. it is usable it's not demo crap where The only downside is the occasional not to intrusive ad. There's a bit of a connect delay then once it's up and running it runs pretty well. The best part is you can run thit in to camtwist And have a whole lot more fun!! like a roving camera Live feeding a projector with video effects. It Has a few bugs and clerks here and there but it's my number one pick for sending video from my phone to my computer live. I haven't really used it for anything but I still feel like I want to buy it ( it would be nice if there was a sale, I find I'm impulsive purchasing in the under three dollar range). I don't know what else to say I've been looking for something like this for a long time.

Works stable, minimal lag over Wifi. This app is free and has no watermark and best of all it has minimal lag over wifi from iPad. 5 stars out 5. Used it or several hours, just a piece of cake. FYI: used all of the apps that reached “blogger” tops of apps for streaming from iPad camera. This app is not there but it beats all those pesky apps that work for 2 seconds just to disconnect from device and leave you with funny face on the stream lol.

Forced Review. I am more than happy to review an app. But having to rate this app to enable front camera is poor practice. I want to test front camera without being ‘strong-armed’ into a premature review. Faith and confidence in your product should never entail this type of practice, it’s shortsighted. $7.99 seems like a great price and all the reviews are solid so why continue to require a review. An app review is not a right, it is a consumer’s choice if they feel a review is warranted. So to be fair, I’ll disclose I have not fully tested this app to see if it meets my needs. I wrote this review because it was the only way to enable a necessary feature for me to test and determine if I want to upgrade to the $7.99 version.

“I did it Daddy”-my 7 year old. Not confusing but easy and quick. #1 app by us the people. Not confusing if you can read on a 2nd grade level. My daughter is 7 and did this without my help. Like I said. I searched forever downloaded a ton of apps that don’t work. This works. I got an old crappy iPhone and newer MacBook and as long as you are on the same WiFi for both devices you will instantly be linked up. It is a def boss type movement. So if you like boss stuff then get this, if you like Donald Trump type stuff then keep scrolling.

Amazing. This app helped me so much as now I can use my old iPad for everything now! The filters connect to my Snapchat so I even have a green screen! There is no downside to this at all! Except that I cant use a microphone without having to pay but that is a easy fix with a third part app or voice memos, but all in all this is a great software because all it needs is just internet and its working, no wire no nothing! But for background features you need a Rtx 2080 TI but be honest, do you really need that?

Update issues. This app was working great prior to an update a few days ago. I was using it for online school and it worked fine as a webcam. The update came out and overhauled the look of it, it looks nicer now which I appreciate. However, it now doesn't stop my phone from going into sleep mode after a few minutes. This makes the app useless since I can only use it 4 minutes at a time or else I have to constantly be tapping the screen to make sure it doesn't turn off. I hope this is just a bug, since I really like using this app. Not sure if it doesn't do this on the pro version. PLEASE fix this!

It's a big NO from me.... I saw the recent low reviews but, still decided to give it a shot since it was mainly complaints about the program not working on Macs. EPIC FAIL! I installed the app to my iPhone and downloaded the files to my Windows laptop, but I could not get the program to open/run on my laptop, even after un and reinstalling it twice. Unlike most programs, this one did not immediately open once download to my Laptop, with instructions on how to set it up and all the other HELPFUL information needed to NOT waste an hour trying to figure it out. All I continually see is a white page. I'm not even going to bother contacting customer service. But I would still advise anyone to try it out, just to see if it will work for you. (Also, you have to pay if you want to use your phone mic as the audio source).

Good, But UNRELIABLE. First install on PC, Webroot said it was a virus. Wasn’t too surprised as many other reviews said it was a virus. Something to do with advertising, so I just ignored it. Installation completed effortlessly on both devices. App is very handy for a DIY webcam, especially if you don’t want to spend the extra money on an actual one. There is one problem though, and it’s annoying. The connection between my phone and PC isn’t always reliable. It’ll work for awhile, and then the screen in OBS will go black. Pretty sure it isn’t a problem with my phone or cable because they both work fine otherwise. I doubt it is OBS, because I can unplug my phone and see the three blue dots showing it is looking for a connection. Please fix this issue, it’s getting annoying.

Great bit of software. Really happy with my first tests of this software. Easier than using Zoom on my phone.

Took less than a minute!. And now I have a way better, mobile camera.

Quick setup. Very quick set up. Just download app on iPhone-iPad etc and Mac. Instantly connected to network and video came straight up. Awesome!

Got it to work. It didn’t work first time I tried but it all of a sudden started working the next time I tried it. I think there might be some kind of glitch where you need to open and close the EpocCam viewer program on the MacBook while the video chat program is also trying to connect or something.

Front camera. Leaving a rating to use front camera. Hope it works

Good features but.... This is a nice alternative for buying costly webcams but it’s a little strange asking to review to get the other camera to work. I haven’t been able to verify how good the entire app works before giving a review. Lol?

Rating to use front cam. The app works pretty well so far with the rear cam, wish i could change the orientation though

I love this app to use my mobile device for streaming. Great app. Easy to use. My mobile is better quality than laptop webcam so happy to benefit from great quality video streaming. Thanks.

Great got a webcam from my phone. Had to run through the install twice but it worked!!!

Front Camera. Well I just rated this to use the front camera its because I have to and I need it

Just don’t get it.. Plagued with ads, horrible connectivity and false reviews (scroll down or up to find them, there’s about ten in a row, all from gibberish iCloud usernames). I followed the instructions and downloaded the drivers and spent about 15 minutes straight connecting my phone and my PC, with the end result being malware and no connectivity. Don’t fall for the scam and do NOT get it.

EpocCam. Easy to install/setup, video appeared in Zoom straight away, couldn’t be much easier! Ads are annoying but it’s free software so that’s understandable.

Does the job. So far it appears to work, however The front facing camera feature is locked until i provide a review. Which I’m not impressed with at all because it is the primary use I require it for, and I can’t provide an honest review until I actually use its purpose. Feature blackmailing isn’t cool, especially when it’s such a heavily advertised feature.

I’m rating this to activate the front camera.. Seems to work ok. Wifi has to be strong to make it work. Can also use USB to connect iPhone or IPad without wifi.

Works as intended. Brilliant app, easy way to save money on a webcam when there is a perfectly good camera for it on your phone.

Good alternative to a web cam. Couldn’t find a web cam anywhere thanks to the coronavirus lockdown so this app solved that problem. Works well.

Awesome app. Works well except I needed to reboot my PC before this app I installed on it would actually connect to any software. Except I didn’t know about that until months later so at first I thought the app was only good for getting a view on my PC of what my iPhone camera was seeing, without being usable in any other program. Then I kind of randomly tried it again one day and found it was working after all, I can now use my iPhone across my network as if it was a camera attached to the PC!

Easy if you work it out. Do a bit of trail and error... maybe have a quick read on the site and this is easy enough to install. Good app, works well Using as a temporary fix but could consider using this as a long term solution with the paid version.

Easy setup, easy function!. Works as advertised. Hopefully not many ads or quirks to deal with.

Pretty good. The initial driver installation didn’t work until I downloaded the app from the Mac store. You can’t use the front camera until you rate the app it seems - bit unhelpful

STAY AWAY!! Horrible app, don’t worth the risk.. You CANNOT uninstall the software you need to install on your Mac. The uninstaller and command prompts DO NOT WORK. Even after speaking to support multiple times, they refuse to tell me how to manually remove the software. It may as well be malware...don’t risk it. Hopefully I can save a few of you the trouble I’ve experienced. Support will not help you remove it. So install at your own risk. If you do install it...good luck.

Solved my problem. Looking everywhere in stores for a webcam but none around (COVID!!!) Someone suggested this app and it’s solved my problem instantly. Can’t wait to get started.

EpocCam review. The free version seems to connect better with the cable connected to the phone. But when I use zoom and switch to the EpoCam it does not show my face on zoom. I think it would be better to get the paid version for better quality and usage.

So quick to install. Just install the file from their website and it just works. Amazing!

Good for new IOS. Would request developers to make it compatible with older iOS. This will help us repurpose older sets.

Good quality. Worked with it once, easy to install and follow through with. Good quality camera

Web cam app. Awesome to be able to use a phone instead of buying a webcam. Thanks

Easy to use, great camera software. Easy to setup and use software to use your phone camera as another webcam for your pc

Using iPad mini as webcam. The quality looks good using rear camera, but for a webcam I need to use the front camera. Pity this didn’t default to front camera, otherwise may have been better rating.

It works!. Tested on Windows 10; installed quickly without any issues. Turns your iPhone into a high-quality, wireless webcam; very effective. The iPhone app constantly shows ads, but this does not affect the camera image on the PC. I would happily pay a small one-time fee to remove the ads. The app must be kept open on the iPhone, or camera image will be lost, but reconnects in a few seconds when app is reloaded. A clever little app that just works!

It works well!. It works well, but when running the viewer on my pc, it takes a while to connect, and when it’s connected, it sometimes just continues to show the “searching for devices” screen.

Amazing!. The app works and is high enough quality! The only issue I have is that on the desktop app you have to uninstall and reinstall (which takes like 7 seconds) if a glitch happens. Other than that it works perfectly! :)

So easy, So simple.. I've just downloaded and installed this app on my Mac sort of expecting an issue of some kind. Opened the app on my iPhone and instantly had an image on my desktop. I'm impressed.

Front camera only available with App Store rating.. You’re only allowed to use the front cam after submitting an App Store rating. Since that’s the only reason I want to use it, I can’t submit a true rating of this app’s effectiveness until I’ve tested that feature. Update: it does the job, but I’m fundamentally opposed to ratings blackmail to access features so my rating is capped at a maximum of three stars.

So clear and just what I needed. I’ve been trying to search for a application that will allow me to use my iPad or iPhone as a WebCam throughout COVID without much luck. Finally I found EpocCam and it’s exactly what I needed. It’s easy to use and vision is crystal clear. A very happy happy customer.

Few glitches to start.... Couldn’t get my pc to connect to phone- contacted the support team and the sent me a link for the updated drivers - so far it’s working ok👍 Want to play around a bit more before I upgrade though.

Easy to use. Just had to leave a review to be able to use the front facing camera, hopefully works okay after that. Easy to connect my iphone to my PC.

Made us write a regret. I’m only writing a review to use front camera. Pretty smooth. If it’s not smooth your wifi is bad that’s all

Worst app ever!!. Don’t use this app, it’s terrible! First of all it’s so glitchy and bad quality and hardly ever works! Would not recommend this app to anyone!

Just works. Easy to set up and use so far. Seems to integrate well with other platforms

Seems ok testing to see if I will upgrade. Using the front camera is important and I am interested in upgrading if features such as multi camera works well

Easy setup and works great. Installed on both phone and pc and connected straight away, easy as. Looking for this for awhile, thanks

Seems ok - but support on mac os relies on app developers. I needed this for zoom meetings - but the latest version of zoom doesn’t support virtual webcams so this only works indirectly via the screen share feature which is a bit of a hacky workaround. I like that you can also connect directly via USB.

Easy to use without being an expert. I just had to install the application on my laptop and my phones and when I opened my broadcasting software they were both ready to use

Haven’t had a chance to try it. To use the front camera you have to leave a review, but since I haven’t had a chance to use it yet my review is low, will change once I have a chance to try it out

Rate before use??. I love the idea of this app but have no idea if it will fulfil my hopes. As even though I’ve paid for it I’m not able to access all features until I submit a review. Therefore 3 stars - it might be a 5 star app but don’t know yet.

Works. Works a treat. Downloaded the app, the drivers and then could immediately broadcast. Thank you. Considering purchasing the paid version.

Good Quality. I had an old iPad lying around that i thought had use. When i discovered epocam my whole life had changed.

It works. ^Pretty much all I have to say. However interface looks a bit old but at least it’s functional

Why not. Seems to work nice and simple. Still playing with it, but if it works, may upgrade to the paid version

Terrible. Doesn’t connect

Good app. Really good app and its free

Oh well. Usually good not working atm sure it’ll be fixed ?

A dead app. This app does nothing & will not pair with my Mac regardless of the how to videos & troubleshooting section. Will not pair with Zoom either.

Worst app, fake ratings. It’s glitchy as hell, even though I have the most powerful computer on a planet today and iPhone 14 Pro. (RTX 4090, i9-13900k, 64 GB) Don’t believe this rating, they used bots to get this rate. This app cannot perform its main duty - providing you with a video stream. Asking for refund, otherwise I’ll sue them.

Won’t connect anymore. This was working just fine 2 days ago and now, no amount of troubleshooting will get this to connect to my computer. I have gone through every step on your site, and uninstalled/reinstalled all programs and the app and still nothing.

Zero audio on free version. Free Version doesn’t allow audio, no point in using it. I would rather see better video/audio controls on a paid version but definitely not zero audio.

Doesn’t work, at least not easily.. Couldn’t find a fix on the internet for this. After installing drivers I am stuck on Step 1: Get the Drivers. I have them but can’t proceed at all. The only thing it says is you need iTunes to connect via USB. Which I have, and WiFi isn’t even an option. Help is appreciated but I couldn’t find anybody to help online.

Abhorrent. Software is terrible. Connection is unstable and requires computer restart every disconnect. Useless.

Wouldn't connect wirelessly. Wouldn't connect wireless y Camo a competitor connected immediately after scanning the qr code in windows

Glitch. When I open up both the apps, the viewer glitches and freezes up

no. mine just won’t work

Only wifi on windows? Dumb. One star. No option to work on the same network without wifi which is stupid in 2021. No way to get it to work with a hardwired setup without bad USB is a downgrade over even a go pro 😂. Bad bad bad app I will support a better developer.

Having trouble and can’t find a fix. Can not find a fix

stop. guys its free u should expect ads be happy there is an amazing app like this for free

Hope it works. Happy to read it but I haven’t used it yet I’ll just give it a five

EpocCam. Kept disconnecting

okay app. i use it everything works fine it is just they add a watermark to the video.

Can’t Get it Working. It work work for me with Teams or Discord. I’m using a 2020 iPhone SE and a MacBook Pro

PLEASE DO NOT BUY. I thought this app was pretty good at first. I wanted to upgrade the quality so I bought the premium membership. That also gets rid of the huge watermark on the image. When I streamed for the first time, there was a massive delay in the video. Probably 3-6 minutes delay and I was not even broadcasting anything to the internet. I was just checking the streaming on my computer. They promised improved quality with the premium membership but it made the quality worse. Not to mention it said 7.99 and the company charged me 12.50.

Great. Useful app

Mac Support?. Pretty good app but without Teams support for Mac it’s not very useful to me.

Excellent clarity. Would be five stars but I don’t see how to use 16:9 ratio instead of the 4:3.

Won’t connect. When ever I open the webcam it stays in the trying to connect screen it and won’t connect no matter how times I try to fix it

Not worth buying for Mac Users. Until this app supports Mac Communications software and common business applications like Teams and Skype, it is minimally useful for anyone looking to use it for work purposes.

Good but needs improvement. It works fantastic with video calling apps but for YouTube streaming, it’s freezing I don’t know why?

It’s good…when it sporadically works. It works great when it works…but there have been multiple times where it suddenly stops connecting for weeks at a time. I use the full, paid for version. (Yes, I’ve updated everything & still find this to be a common problem). In the middle of one of those times now. I don’t want to buy a webcam yet in case it suddenly starts working again. Frustratingly & randomly unreliable.

So simple and useful try it. More complex if you are more than one person to use the app on the same network

Needs a better connection solution.. difficult connect, Bad instructions, nice windows app.

Worked well, no issues. Tried this app and had a very good experience with it. I am using a iPhone 13. I installed the pc driver and connected with a PC program that uses the phones camera to scan QR codes. My phone passed the codes to the program easily. I will test with Skype next.. I Will most likely purchase the pro version as this app is much cheaper than a web cam purchase.

Doesn’t work. Just look online for reviews hasn’t been working since 2021 there’s a whole refit about it

EpocCam (free version). Appears to work very well with Microsoft Teams. So good in fact I purchased the Pro version, my mistake stick with the free one...

only ads. I paid for this ages ago. Nowadays when I open it, it only shows ads. No way to get the webcam working. Too bad!!

No zoom in showing. No zoom in showing up

Extremely difficult to uninstall. Decided I don’t need the app but absolutely brutal process to uninstall in MacOS (I can’t figure it out). Feels very malware-y in that regard.

Awesome app. Work seamlessly without error

Slow. The lag is ridiculous

lol12345643. lol

Doesn’t work. It just simply doesn’t connect via usb or wifi on my iPhone 12 I’ve tried troubleshooting and it just won’t work

Garbage. Using with iPhone 8 and MBA and Teams. It can get teams to recognize the microphone but not the video! The video is the whole point to this app!!! Garbage

Garbage. Don’t waste your money. Seriously. What a waste of my money.

iPhone screen is going sleep mode. Since latest release, my iPhone is going sleep mode and my webcam does not stay alive while I’m in a Teams meeting.

Possibly malicious or rat. The program opens in the background when I wasn’t even using the app and proceeded to use high cpu. Definitely deleting this spyware crap.

Doesn’t work wirelessly. That’s all

The app is not working.. The app is not working at all, I used it on zoom, it just showed the first shot on camera view.

No support for Windows. Wasted an hour trying to get it working on my laptop and PC, yet after so much troubleshooting can’t figure out why it is stuck on connecting on my iPhone. Even, Service from task manager is not starting. No helpful forum or support for troubleshooting. Uninstalled!

Gratuit!. Excellent programme dans sa version gratuiteleViking

Doesn’t work. Don’t waste your time

It’s not working anymore. It worked for a couple of hours, but now nothing will read that it’s here, EVEN THOUGH IM USING USB! Discord, google meets, zoom, even OBS doesn’t read that it exists. The help guild is no help, since both the required things are working, but still nothing! I NEED THIS FOR SCHOOL! Until it gives better troubleshooting tips, this sucks

Amazing video quality and very easy to install. I am very pleased with this app, easy to install, works seamlessly, it is practical, fit for purpose and improves your online experience at large. 100% recommended

I am somewhat impressed. I don't usually write reviews, however I must say that as soon as I opened the server and the app it started working. I was a little bit bummed that the server picked up on the first phone that I put the app on, which worked out well for the most part. I am definitely going to play with it and see if I am blown away.

Easy to set up, works great. I have my phone attached to a Windows 10 computer via USB. The driver software on the PC said the camera was connected via WiFi, which was puzzling. Maybe that’s just a generic message, or maybe they found each other over my LAN. Working great so far. Skype found the camera.

Great app until it wasn’t. Like many reviews has stated, this app worked really great but then suddenly stopped working reliably. I purchased the premium version because the wifi connection option is spotty. Using a USB cord helped at first, but then the app would just stopped working in the middle of a call. I used multiple USB cords and I tried USB connection with a competitor app and had no problems so I think the problem must lie with the app.

Pretty easy app. I found this app while trying to find a solution to stream twitch while not having the funds to buy an expensive webcam. It works (with some ads) other than that the app is pretty good. I have an iPhone 7+ and the camera works wonderfully.

Requires a review to use the front camera. This app is free and appears to work. However, as soon as I log in to the app, I ma forced to give a review to unlock the front camera. The free version has an ad banner at the top, which I expected, but forcing a review before the user has become familiar with the app seems kind of shady to me. I am giving an average review given I have not used the app but am still forced to give a review.

Switch camera button is lost!. I was using this great app for a while but after I updated the app on my phone I am not able to switch between front and rear camera. Actually there is no switch button in the app!!! Is this a new feature added during the last update?

Seems to be a great app. Just downloaded the free version. I can’t really say how great it is since I just downloaded it, but in order to use the front camera I need to write a review. I wanted to try the free version before committing to paid version. It was easy to install on Mac and iPhone. Worked immediately. Will probably buy the paid version eventually. Haven’t tried it on PC yet.

Too early to say. It does seem to work after just a few minutes, using an iPad mini 4 to a chrome book. You also have to download the EpocCam Viewer app for the chrome book. I have to leave a rating in order to get the front camera to work.

Useful but didn’t work at first. It took me a while to get this to work on my computer. It kept recognizing my phone when I opened the app, but when I tried opening the viewer to see how it looked, the viewer wasn’t recognizing my phone, nor was Zoom. I found that the driver wasn’t digitally signed and had to change my computer setting in order to ignore unsigned digital drivers before it worked. This was on an older Windows 7 computer as well.

Works, but requires setup. This app does allow you to use an iOS device as your main or as an additional camera in zoom. But recent versions of zoom on Mac OS X require entering a couple of simple command lines in the Terminal app to make it work. Be sure and check their website FAQ page for full details. It’s not hard, but it’s also not super intuitive.

USB link only in paid version. This free version is laggy. The app itself keeps trying to upsell to the paid version, in addition to always launching by first showing some full-screen ad. The upsell info says the paid version supports USB cable connection (for lower latency), which implies that in spite of the App Store description, this free version only supports the higher latency WiFi connection method: certainly the video is laggy whether or not my phone is cabled to my Mac

Camera Hub integration. This move to the camera hub desktop application on windows (crashes constantly every 30 seconds) makes the iOS app worthless (because it also crashes when the desktop app does) and you can’t use it now without the desktop app being open, versus a service that ran on windows in the background and THAT. WAS. FLAWLESS. Now we have this dog water and I’ve been played out of $7 and now played out of my time to work out a different solution. Thanks Elgato! /s

Easy to setup and use. After installing the windows program it immediately recognized the program running on my phone and showed the video. Could not be easier. No accounts even to set up. No idea what the security of the video is, that’s my biggest worry but I’m just playing around with the app.

Webcam Alternative. I was looking for a webcam but found that many were sold out due to the coronavirus situation. Stumbled upon this app claiming it can turn my phone into a webcam. I have an iphone and a windows pc. It was easy to set up. Just downloaded the app on my phone then went on the kinoni website to download the drivers on my pc. I connected my phone via usb and it worked! Im liking it so far. Quality is great.

Highly recommended!!. Now that we are living in tough times and most of us works from home, this camera is such a blessing because the quality of my laptop’s camera is very poor that i’ve been thinking of buying a webcam! But i dont need that eithe! Thanks to this up! I have a betther camera quality for my zoom meetings! Thanks!

Okay app. I had no problem with installation and use, so that accounts for the five stars. I really just want to use front camera. I didn't like the idea of writing a review for front camera use, but then it's better than having to pay for HD just for that feature.

Not bad for a free app. If the ads were less intrusive I’d probably give it 5 stars. Oddly enough the front facing camera worked on a newer model phone (without writing a review) but it did not work on two older model iPhones. The driver installation (Windows) “worked” although it did present some erroneous error after it completed. Nonetheless, the app serves its purpose and works well with Teams which is what I needed. Thanks!

Rockin. In this day and age where we rely on our computers/phone/internet so much, I’m glad to have stumbled upon this app. Highly recommend to be able to use your phone’s camera as a web cam so you don’t have to hunt for one. Give it a shot ... you’ll be glad you did!

Issues with newer versions. Since updating the app to the newer layout and version the app seems to be selective when it wants to work and when it doesn’t. I only use usb connection and I’ll need to fully restart my pc to reset the connection. Great free app and I’ve used it for years now but it’s been a little buggy as of late.

Works pretty well. I installed the app and driver and am mostly pleased with it. A bit glitchy after turning off so I re installed. I do wish there was support for issues such as not connecting (I had the black screen for 15 minutes before restarting). I would like to use it with a USB connection to see if it reduces lag, but that doesn’t seem to work. When it works, it’s super.

I’m so glad I found this. I was just chillin trying to figure out a way for me to have a blast playing some games and it came to me. Let me record myself and share it to my friends because they all have a good time playing games with me because of my commentary. Thank you for letting me gift this to them!

Why buy a webcam when you have one in your pocket?. I tried this app a few weeks ago and was unable to get it to connect (wired or wireless), but after I heard it recommended on iOS Today, I decided to give it another try. It connected immediately and worked perfectly.

Cool but wouldn’t work. Installed on my iPhone and MacBook Pro to find out that the cam feed will go to my computer and is visible in the program however when anything else uses the feed (websites/obs) it is reduced to a black screen with a white circle that just keeps spinning. I couldn’t find a fix on their website this the two star review. Will update if I can get it to work later

Works so well. I love this little app that turns my phone into a WebCam. Much better than any of the WebCams I’ve tried to use that constantly change focus when I move. This is just perfect, and simple to install. Thank you so much

I love this app!!!. I was thinking about getting some sort of macro controller or streamer controller and then I saw this during a web search. It installed easily, connected and worked right away. I will probably buy the full version after testing it out a little longer. Thanks developers!!!!

Helped out in a pinch. This little app came through when I needed to migrate a in-person course to an online platform. While I had to create a few workarounds based on my setup, it helped create a better experience for my students. Would have given 5 stars if it had direct integration with the virtual learning environment I am using (Blackboard).

Needed a quick fix. EpocCam served as perfect quick fix so I could use phone as webcam on my PC which runs the newest version of Skype. Can no longer update to newest version on laptop as it runs vista. Didn’t even have to buy new webcam - saved some bucks and also not having to venture into frigid cold as result

Perfect for the current situation!. I’ve been looking for a webcam due to the Covid 19 pandemic, but EVERYWHERE is sold out. I have a presentation coming up so I was desperate for a webcam until I found this app! I’m SO relieved. The only comment I have is that I wish the quality was innately HD instead of having to “upgrade” your camera’s quality.

Better quality and simple set up. Wow. I didn’t know it was this simple to set up. I literally downloaded this app on my phone and on my pc and seconds later it was connected to my OBS streaming software. And such good quality for a free app. Definitely looking to get the HD version simply based on how happy I am about the free version.

Good Product. I just got this a few minutes ago and the installation was quick and it worked perfectly in just a couple of minutes. I couldn’t find a webcam in any stores and they’re very expensive so this was a great alternative.

Awesome!. I like using my laptop with an external screen, but every time I edit to make a video call I had to disconnect it to be able to video call. However, now that I found this app I can now have a webcam without having to discuss anything! I love that it’s free!

Have to disable firewall to connect. Update works great. The system works ok but I can’t connect over usb unless I pay for it and I have to disable the firewall on my PC to connector wirelessly. After reinstalling the driver software on my pc, it works great. Just need a small stand to hold my phone in the right position

Convenient and free. Now that everyone’s working from home and Zoom meetings are a way of life, I needed a better webcam than what was on my laptop....and so did everyone else. Finding a webcam in stores or even online has been a challenge, so using this app is a great solution; plus, there’s a free version so you can test the app out before committing to the higher quality version.

Exactly What I Needed. I wanted a better quality cam to use for my Zoom meetings and the MacBook cam just wasn’t cutting it. After many searches and downloads, this is exactly what I was looking for. Now I can use my iPad camera which is a much better quality for my zoom calls and still use everything else on my MacBook. Just perfect.

Doesn’t work. Spent an hour trying to get this to work when it claims ready in under 3 minutes, and it still doesn’t work. Would be a great app if it actually worked. Update: decided to give it another try. Took some time but finally got it to work. Haven’t had a chance to use it in during a live meeting, but will update afterwards.

Good, but wi-fi connection problems…. I got this app knowing that it was Elgato because I knew elgato was a pretty good brand, but for some reason when I try to connect it with wifi it wont work. USB works fine but not wifi which is kinda odd Other than that though it is a pretty good app for a webcam on your phone

Quick and easy!. Was able to setup the system real quick! After downloading the app and then the drivers simply open up your video application be it Skype or OBS the camera is immediately recognized! Currently using the default free app and the low resolution at 640x480 looks decent for simple video chat.

iPhone to HP Laptop. So this webcam was method was working just fine with all my quizzes and exam. Then all of a sudden right before my next exam the webcam app just stopped working. Like what the hell, it didn’t even identify the laptop nothing. I was so disappointed because this was a timed exam and I was really depending on this. Anyways it does work and then it will stop working- please do not waste your money find another app.

Get rid of the ads!!!. I got the free app on a colleague's recommendation. I teach at a music college remotely on Zoom and need an overhead view of the piano keyboard. This app provides that perfectly. I have no problem with the quality of the video. But the constant interruption of the shared video with ads in the middle of my teaching a class defeats the purpose of using it as a second videocam. I would gladly pay for a similar app if I could be guaranteed uninterrupted transmission of video with no ads. But the upgrade description does NOT say "no ads." I'm looking for something a lot better than this app.

A great alternative to buying an expensive webcam. I have a Dell XPS13 ‘nosecam’ model which is an extremely annoying thing. This so far has been easy to instal and the picture quality looks good. I’m yet to try it on a call, to know how it actually works and the diffferences (if at all) between wifi or usb connections.

Needed It For School. I have been doing remote learning for the past two months and suddenly my school required a webcam. And since my monitor doesn’t have an attached webcam, EpocCam helped me when I needed it. It was free too. Install was easy and all you needed to do was give a rate in order to get a front facing camera. Overall, it’s nice but I just hope they remove any insignias pasted on the recordings.

Will not stay connected. OK, I finally uninstalled it. After spending a Number of hours trying to figure out why every time I select HD the camera just starts running that circle that says “connecting”, the only way I can get it to come back is to reboot everything the computer and the phone. This time even after rebooting it still doesn’t work. I was happy with it when it worked but, I’m gonna look for something else. One of the things that is disappointing is I paid for this.

Rating pending.. Apparently you have to review this app before you can start to use the facing camera of the phone. Therefore, I have nothing to report yet but I’m simply trying to access the camera function that I need. I don’t mind providing a review. I do object to being required to put in a review before I have actually used the product.

The Best Thing Smoking. Absolutely love this camera it’s the best thing smoking. Hand was all my task even down to the free version so please upgrade to the pro with only a few dollars and let this program for this Apple cam change your life view of camera apps. So there you have it; Done than said

Just getting started. So I have the free version to see how this may be a help. I have an old iPhone 5s and want to connect to OBS ... but their app isn’t available for my phone. Camera works fine but OBS studio can’t find it. So I looked over several other webcam versions for my wife’s old droid and nothing but garbage out there for that ... so back to my iPhone. So found this app and tried the free version first. It connected quickly but with the small screen on my iPhone all the other distractions outside the video feed makes the free version difficult to manage on the phone ... but on OBS it seemed fine. So now that I’m writing a review ... which I never do BEFORE I use a product .., I guess there’s a first for everything!

Very easy to set up. I was able to download the program and have it up and running with one studio in about 2 minutes. It doesn’t get much easier than that. Now I can use the cameras in my iPhone 11 Pro Max in addition to the computer camera

Waste of money. Downloaded it to use for work meetings. I connected using USB from my iPhone to my macbook. Picture quality was great and setup was easy. But once I started a zoom meeting, about every 10 minutes, the video would cut off and just a black screen with a spinning circle would show until I stopped the app and started it again. I had to give up and go back to what I was using before in the middle of a job. That makes it a total wast of money for me.

Very disappointing waste of precious time. I just bought a new Mac studio and an iPad Pro. I have understood and followed the setup instructions 4 times at this point. The drivers show up in preferences for the mic (no indication of a webcam) I have downloaded the app and gone through the setup on the iPad. I have Rosetta installed on MacOS (Mac studio) I have tried booting face time in Rosetta as well. I have also tried WhatsApp, and zoom. Nothing works. Do not download or pay for this app. Completely useless. Thanks for nothing.

Did not work for a second. I’ve read wonderful reviews of this app, was exited to try it, and after hours of tinkering on multiple occasions, I’ve given up. I’m sure it’s been a great product for many people, but I have not been able to get it to work at all on my updated MacBook Pro with my updated iPhone 8, and all of the troubleshooting I could find basically said “restart the program.” It’s not important enough to me to try any harder - but I do wish I had read more reviews of others for whom it just didn’t work.

It Works - On Google Hangouts. After learning that Zoom bricked third-party virtual webcams, I downloaded the free version. It works great on Google Hangouts, which is fine because friends of mine who work in network security tisk-tisk my use of Zoom because it’s still full of security holes. I’m strongly considering dropping the twenty dollars on the multi cam version - it’s that good.
