It really helps me move into running, when my body hasn't worked out for a while. The timed switch between running and walking really helps me get a good workout without tiring myself out. I would recommend this app for people looking to increase their weekly exercise.
I tried other C25K apps and they were glitchy and difficult to read during runs. This one is FAR better. So far, I haven't encountered a single glitch. The interface is ridiculously easy. I would recommend this to anyone looking into running.

Very effective at advancing ones fitness level
This is pretty much as simple as it gets. Listen to the prompts and STICK with it. Works seamlessly with my music and Spotify.
