Backup and restore not helpful. Had this app on my iPad. Paid the 1.99 to add to my phone - still can’t restore the version to my phone. Meaning I’d have to re enter all the data.

Great for record keeping. I love being able to keep track of my babies info!!

Love this app. I’ve been using Dog Buddy for years but only in the last couple of years did I really realize its true potential. I keep track of my dogs appointments and documents I submit to their insurance. It’s great.

Good app. I’ve had this app for a month, it’s pretty good when saving info for my pup. Not a fan that I had to pay for it but it is what it is!

Essential tool for managing my Pug’s health. This app is awesome. I recommend anyone with a dog download and use this app to keep track of essential information regarding their life and health! My Pug needs regular attention, and the Diary, Medication and Weight logs help me manage her needs without relying on memory or paper notes. As a bi-coastal dog, she has 2 vets, and the app helps me communicate with them about care given by the other.

Just starting out, still deciding. Just downloaded and added our new dog. Seems simple and straightforward. I’m missing an alert or reminder. It would be great to be able to set yearly, monthly, daily, any time-based reminder for things like flea treatment, heartworm, medications. Otherwise, I’m able to track my stats, meds, vaccinations easily.

Crashes frequently; no vax schedule. App crashes frequently; when adding vaccinations, or saving vaccinations or diary entries… basically any time. There is also no built in vaccination recommendations that help you schedule your vaccinations. Reminders do not display consistently. Some show, others do not. No reason. There needs to be a field for recording vaccine brand names and anatomical location of the shot. Still trying to find a good pet care log. This isn’t really it. Close, but not there. Update: - why can’t fields for weight and date be updated to simple entry and calendar entry respectively. Needs an ergonomic update. - Reports are kind of useless for weight need to be able to see trend since start and in reasonable date ranges. (Go look at MyFitnessPal.).

Not bad. We have three dogs to keep track of, so I thought this app would be great. However, you add your dogs in, but you can’t put medications or anything into their profile. Any vaccines or procedures done go into a general folder. Could be better if dogs had their own folder instead of having to dig through to find information... It seems the same as the free version, except you can add multiple dogs.

Love this app. I have 3 dogs and keeping track of all the important stuff without an organized way to do so could be troublesome. Not with this app! Dog Buddy allows me to keep track of every single important detail. It also adds the date and time automatically for me! This is a great app to have.

Great!. I started with the free app then upgraded because we know we will be getting another dog in the future. The information transferred over easily! I would recommend making it an auto transfer instead of having to go into the settings. Seeing other reviews others seemed to have difficulty with it.

Easy to use! Very helpful!. Would like to use the export email to one of my Veterinarians, but is not including the medication log. Have contacted support for help with this. I am still on the trial, so maybe some of the options are not available until fully subscribed. Will wait for answers.

Great app!. This is a great app to help keep track of your doggies info! Not only can you record vaccinations and vet visits but you can also have a little diary about them and put pictures you’ve taken of them on here! I like to be organized and this is perfect for me!

Dog buddy. I love this app and have used it from day one. This is a baby book on my dog . I keep all of his important information on it and anytime he goes to the vet. It valuable info on your dog and you have all his information at one place

Simple, neat, great user experience. We’ve used this app for almost 6 years and it is perfect. It isn’t complicated to navigate and captures the data we need to keep track of our little family members such as vet visits and any medications they are on. We tried out other apps and they all paled next to Dog Buddy…I really can’t even think of any negatives. Well worth it if you want a professional looking data management tool for your pets that doesn’t leave you scratching your head or buried under ads.

Great App!. I have 5 dogs and this is the only app I found that could adequately track their vet visits. It's worth the cost of the upgrade!

Mixed useful. Has good categories and fairy easy to work with, but difficult to sync between IPhone and IPad. When I wrote for support got nothing..made several tries

Great but needs more features. I’ve only been using this for a day and it’s been very helpful. However, here are some suggestions for future updates! • ability to select which dog to input info for (such as weight) without having to go back to the Dogs page and reselecting • ability to see a graph of the weights inputted • other inputs such as bath time, play dates, walks, etc would be nice Will update the review the more I use it! So far, it’s helpful for recording weights and simple reminders.

Does the job. I like the app because I can track all three dogs. I just wish each category was under each dog because it makes it confusing to have to go back to the home once the dog is selected. Plus when you’re under that category under that dog, you can’t see which dog you’re entering information for at the top. Lastly, I wish there was an actual specific selection for dog license.

Dog buddy rating. Always reminds me about any upcoming vaccines that are going to be due for my dog. Stores all of the important information that is needed for my pets well- being.

Waste of time—app doesn’t sync with other devices. I bought the pro because I believed it would sync with my tablet and phone, but I haven’t been able to see just how to accomplish this since there is no log in or account set-up. It looks like it would be a great way to keep up with pet records, etc., but if I can’t sync with my tablet it’s useless to me. I can’t do everything on my phone.

Good pet health app, but needs some changes. I have been trying to find a good app to keep up with my pupper’s health history. So far this is my favorite one because it doesn’t require me to sync with my vet’s non-existent online records to add vaccines and such. Overall this one is a good option so that I always have her health history on hand, but it could use some changes. It would be great if I could choose from a list of vaccines and medications instead of having to type all of that information in manually. I would like to have the option to add reminders for recurring medications. A section for upcoming appointments would also be be super helpful. The app isn’t optimized to fit my 8 plus screen. The bottom of it is cut off so I can only read the top half of the bottom button descriptions.

Upgraded Version Disappoints. I started with the original free version which a handy tool for recording and tracking my one dog’s info. After getting a second dog, I upgraded to this version because the original only allows storage for one dog. Unfortunately, none of the info transfers over. I would have to completely re-enter all my dog’s info again. It’s a waste of time.

Doesn’t separate vaccines by pet.... Paid for the pro version to add multiple dogs but the vaccines section doesn’t even give the option to record vaccinations by pet. It’s just a list. Could have served the same purpose using the notes app for free. Super disappointed.

Awesome for a surgical diary. My dachshund had to have spine surgery for IVDD. I haven’t ever known someone who had the surgery and so was flying blind. I knew I needed to chronicle each day to monitor his progress and ensure that he was in fact making progress. This app made it easy to keep up with diary entries and what I found to be of great importance the “milestones” feature. I can look at a glance to see where he’s made significant improvements as well as review any adjustments the vet said I’d need to make. I went for the Pro version because I needed to import photos to make sure his wounds were healing and be able to compare them day by day. My only complaint is that I can’t enter photos with each diary entry and milestone. (To be fair I just might not have figured that out yet—I’m more concerned with his surgery rehab.) There is a great section for medications which I found really helpful since he’s on so many right now. I would not have been able to organize all of this information in such a practical manner, with such easy access my husband can search and find exactly what is happening. This program was a godsend. The free version is just as good. If you have a puppy, or I assume any pet this is a great program to track vaccines, injuries, milestones etc. HIGHLY recommend.

Dog Buddy. Dog Buddy is a great app. for keeping info on your dogs. It’s easy to use and well laid out. My only complaint, I wish it would sync. between iPad n iPhone.

Great app. Better than some non free apps and keeping track of my puppy’s needs. Makes sure I don’t forget things. I really like this as a diary to keep track of what she’s gotten as well as her future needs.

Very useful, but need one feature. I keep all my doggies sing this app. I love it. Is there a method of syncing with my iPad? I use it mainly on my iPhone.

It’s okay. Downloaded the free app. Added all of my dog’s info then upgraded to the pro. Nothing transferred nor is there a way to transfer everything so I have to re-add everything. It also keeps crashing when I open it. So the upgrade is not really worth it

Dog Buddy Update. Thank you for adding "pass away" option. That allows memories to be saved while not adding to the age of the dog. She is not forgotten while the memories of the new pup build.

Should be 5 star average!!. I searched high and low for an app that I could log my sick dog’s food intake and weight. I finally found the answer to my search in this app!! And the free version allows you one dog to test it out!! I upgraded because I wanted to support them, plus I have several dogs. This app would also be great for keeping track of when a puppy goes (and you are trying to house train them)

Grams instead of kg. Some pets are small enough to weigh in grams, for example birds. It would be nice to keep track of them in grams instead of kg. All in all the weight feature is helpful, I couldn’t find another app that allowed me to change units of measure, except yours.

Disappointed. Disappointed that I had to pay just to access my info . I understand that the cost needs to increase but this should not apply to customers who already purchased the one time fee.

Very helpful. Very helpful to have info on my phone. I wish there was a word search feature to easily locate info in a day’s note. My pet has hundreds of entries and it can be tricky finding a note’s detail scrolling through. A key word search would be awesome. Please if this app will be discontinued inform us. I have important health info that is crucial I am able to access.

Excellent App!. Excellent App! I have 3 German Shepherd Dogs, 2 Blacks, and a white one. The 2 blacks are my service dogs and I have to keep explicitly records for them to keep the certification. Dog Buddy is the tool that I trust. I recommend it, excellent tool!!!

Excellent tool for Pet Records. If you want your little friend’s history organized this is worth it. This app keeps images by date and let's you record notes and other info. Not really printable but you can screen capture. Try it out for a while it’s worth it. I have been using for over 5 years I have pictures of all her milestones. I would give 8 if it were allowed.

Nice app but needs more. I like that I can keep info but really need an option to move pets to another area without losing everything for that animal when they have passed. I don’t want to delete but I also don’t want to be constantly reminded they aren’t with me. Reminders for vaccines would be good too

Needs pictures with weight. I got this to keep track of our dog’s weight (he’s overweight). I take a picture of him when I weigh him, but there’s not an easy way to tie that pic to the weight. I have added the pics to the pic section, and they have dates, so that’s pretty cool, but it would be BEST if in the notes section of the adding a weight page you could add a photo.

lack of photo intuitiveness. First impression of this App seem good, However photos lack some function Re: photos don't rotate with phone orientation or swipe function (you need to press a left or right arrow to navigate) plus I would rather have a black back ground to photos rather than white. Small imperfection to an otherwise great app.

Handy. The interface could be better - a lot of the sections are basically the same, just with different names. However, it is handy as I know where to go for my 13yo pooch's info, meds, etc, so I use it often.

Handy Tracking Record. Keeps the recording of vaccinations and health and growth milestones easy. Intuitive and straight forward. Able to enter multiple profiles for different dogs if you have more than one. Some suggestions: To have a separate tracker/reminder for ongoing heartworm, intestinal worming, flea and tick treatments from the vaccinations panel. To be able to enter values like weight and dates/times rather than use the scrolling function.

Brilliant!. Loved this app. Other pet detail recorders/diaries are not even close to the quality of this one. Love the extra info section on first aid and it's so handy to have everything in the one spot. My dog Charlie has severe allergies and has weekly vaccinations. To have sections where this can all be recorded is amazing and so helpful. Both my dogs details are all recorded and already seeing the benefits of this rather than having everything hand written out. I have also downloaded the cat version which is just as good. A must for responsible pet owners! :)

App Review. Highly recommend this app, I have a 4 mth old pup and keep all his records and reminders in this app. It's very good if your serious about your pet.

Average At Best. You can’t set reminders for tablets (such as heart worm prevention, flea prevention) and such. It’s missing so many things that responsible pet owners need to track.

Great app but missing something. I love this app, it’s just missing 2 things that would make it perfect. 1: ability to share/link a dog to another pawrent, on another device and 2: a timeline for each dog so you can scroll through of all the data entries and photos. If it does have these features someone please tell me how to use them!

Please add .kgs!. Great app!! Please add .kg (kilograms) as an option for monitoring weight. In Australia we don't use pounds... And converting all the time is a real pain.

Useful App. Have used this app to keep track of everything since getting our first puppy a few years back - vaccinations, vet appointments, worming and flea medications etc. Simple easy to use and versatile. Love the weight tracking part of the app - was really hany to help us track of our dogs growth. We got a second puppy a few months back and it was easy to add her in to the app, it has been handy to compare weight growth at different ages. A toilet training record would be a good addition to help with our new puppy who seems to be having more difficulty in this area.

A Must-Have!. Love the app - does everything it says it does and is a quick easy and convenient way to monitor my dog's progress and needs. The new addition of a reminder function has made it go from a great app to an EXCELLENT one!

Good record keeper. Handy to have but you need to make the effort to remember to update it. My dogs two and a half so I just spent over an hour going through his records and entering all the details in - from vaccinations to his monthly worming treatments to his milestones. I had a folder for all of this but as dog can be accident prone (2x emergency visits since I got him), it's handy to have electronically so that all info is just a touch of a button away in case you don't have it on you during an emergency. Recommended app for those in love with their clumsy fur-babies 😊 👍🏽

Not bad :). I like the feature to add dogs, but I think the rest could be a bit better, I don't like how you have to type the vaccinations I think a list to choose from would have been better, it's very time consuming. The first aid information looks good though.

Could be way better with a simple change. This app is, for me, the best available on the app store, for now. My main concern is to be able to follow my dog's weight and vaccination schedule. My major concern: the date format. When we choose a date, we NEED to be able to choose the year! I had more than one year to enter and it was a pain. Also, how is the time of the day useful when entering a weight? It's not. Finally, a weight graphic view would be useful. Affer, in the vaccination section, it would be nice to have the possibility to set a reminder in "x" months/year and the app would calculate it automatically based on the date the vaccine was given.

Nice way to keep info on my pup. I love having a little "diary" of information to keep on hand. It includes all important information one would like to know about their pet. I like tracking my puppy's weight and seeing how fast she grows.

External data would be nice. I like the app but wish I could copy and paste things like blood results into the app without having to retype them. Both as text and as an image into the notes sections. As the app stands you can only copy and paste stuff that you have already put intoit.

Nice app, but one big flaw for my needs.. I like everything about this app, except the way you enter the weight of your dog. You can enter new weights only for the current year, but I need to enter the last several years of history. The weight field has options down to the minute and AM or PM, which is completely useless. Please add the option for a different year(s) to be chosen, which will make this app much more useful.

Suggestion. Please add a food tracking. To help weight control it would be great to track the brand and the quantity please. Also adding a space to note microchip, insurance and other important informations like this ! Please

Like that we can add more then one pet..I like that I can track her weight, milestones, etc. The only suggestion I would make would be in the Image section, wish we had an "edit" function or "meme" so I could add her age on that pic and would be a great way for me to track how she looks when she was a certain age and kinda be cool to see her grow up from pic to pic Besides that, great app

Was happy. Was very happy with all this app can do until I went to do a printout of the diary for the vet appointment. Can't even email it?? I want to just give her the printout where I track my dogs meals, illnesses almost daily & vet wants to see it due to the dogs serious illnesses. Make it email/print, it would get 5 stars.

Dec 2019. The app won’t recognize my 4 digit password anymore and I can’t access my Pets digital records. Please fix

Great records tool. I have 4 cats and one dog. It keeps great records and covers all areas of pet care. I would give it 5 stars if the reminder had an option to let you know in the following year when something was due like a rabies booster in 2015. It only reminds in the current year.

Full version. I had the free version for about a year before I upgraded to the full version. I was forced to upgrade since the free version only allows for one dog. When you upgrade it does not transfer you data to the new version automatically. You have to go into settings. It will ask you if you want to migrate data to the full version. IT DOESN'T WORK. Do not pay for the full version. When I contacted them for support on this there was no response.

Almost perfect. This is a wonderful app. Been showing and training dogs for over 25 years. This is a quick reference when I need it. If you could add printing to this app It could make it my main program for the dogs.

Maltese mama. I was so excited when I initially signed into the app. I love to organize records and keep family genealogy. I thought this was great app for my dogs Sully-n-Boo. I spent hours gathering the two dogs info and entering it into the app. I am very disappointed in the app. It deleted all of their information. Gone. Poof! Like that. I think your app is z great concept but it could be so much better if it backed up the info for users. We know "everything" is out in the cloud. You all have to bring it back to the app. I give this no stars. Zero rating. Although it won't let me send the message unless I give it at least one star. I still say zero stars. Until they fix the app.

Super Dog App. It has almost 50 detailed first aid things, along with profiles for each dog, optional passcode lock, and many more features! On the homepage there are nine things you can select… diary, milestones, weight, images veterinary, medications, vaccinations, allergies, and other. Its just an amazing app! I call it the "Super Dog App" because if apps were super heroes this app would be mine.

Great App4 Dogs. Great app for dogs

4 puppies!. We took on the responsibility of 4 puppies all between 8 and 3 months old! I couldn't imagine trying to keep up with all their vaccinations and vet appointments without it! I can set reminders for their next vaccines and that's priceless with a busy lifestyle. It helps me to ensure all my pups are healthy and getting all they need! It helps me monitor their growth and record the milestones too! It has been a wonderful tool that even my vet recommends.

Very close to being GREAT. This program is the best I've found to manage my dogs and horses medical care and info. With a few additional features and some fixes on some functionality this program could really be stupendous. As it is now I still think it's the best available though.

Very Easy. We have two puppies and have been using Dog Buddy for the last seven months. It is very easy to keep track of weight and shots.

EASY TO USE. Easy to use. Great way for me to keep all my animals info up to date and in the palm if my hand. Should anything ever happen to one of them, I have all the information at the touch of a button. I would recommend this app to all my friends.

GREAT App for SAR dog Mummzies!. I have 4 German shepherds who are search and rescue dogs and this makes it soooo much easier on me then having to carry around a bunch of papers!!! All the information is on hand and EASY to find.

Has what I've been looking for. I have tried most apps designed for entering data on animals. This one is the one that is closest to what I was looking for. I wish that I could add captions to the photos I upload. I like that the list of pets displays more info than just the name and photo like most other apps and that you can upload multiple photos of each pet. I use this app for tracking the progress on my chicks and chickens. I changed my star rating due to lack of ability to save changes made to an existing pet. I have communicated my problems many times to the designer but no updates to fix the issue. I just tried to change the name on one of my pets and it resorts back to the original name. I can not change the display order, it resorts back to how it wants. I would give this 5 stars if they could fix the issues.

Deleted Diaries. I’ve been keeping a log of my new puppy’s potty training and food schedule. I went to put in the newest update and found that the entire log was gone.

No Sync!!!!. The app is unable to sync between devices which really limits one's desire to use it. Even the backup/restore feature is archaic. I'd recommend the developers look into something called the cloud. Additionally, the apps menu lacks a category for tracking medical history, yet it has a Diary and an Other category. Oddly enough, it has a Vaccinations category. It has potential.

Don't upgrade to Pro. You have to get Pro if you have two dogs but you can't then record weight etc for two dogs... there's no ability to choose the dog for weight, vaccinations etc. Waste of money 😡😡

DogBuddy. Love this App!! My Dam just had a litter and it has come in handy to keep track of all the puppies crucial info, and also have my vet's info is very important . Oh and what can I say about saving each puppy's pic to their personally info. Just great App great, great!!!

Nice App but..... I like the app but would like it even more if I could upload documents and/or photos more the just ‘ one at a time!’ Also, it would REALLY be nice if the backup to Dropbox worked on my iPhone!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️'s 4 being there! Yes, it makes an effort.. This app has many short comings but it has more pros. As a stand alone it functions well and doesn't crash. It's does what it suppose to do, help you track your pet's life. I got a puppy, an Anatolian Shepherd. They grow quick. After 2 months he started gaining the traditional 2.5 pounds+ a week. Then after 4 months it's was 2.5 to 3.5lbs a week till now his first week at 6 months. No specific place I've found to track his 22" height except in "notes" part of weight section. But it's easy to navigate and worth the price. At worse/best you can keep up with everything till it gets better or something better comes along, but for now get it!

Perfect app. This is exactly what I was searching for when I wanted to track my new puppy litter. Since they all look so much alike I can use the photo option to capture small markings to tell them apart as well as individual weight. Super program!

Dog Buddy+. I am a K9 trainer and use this app to keep track I love it.

Needs work. I have the app on my I-pad and I-phone but they don’t sync. Also need a category for flea, tick, heart worm prevention with reminders.

Works as advertised. Everything works as advertised and works well. Got it for its ability to track my dog's weight, but find the other features useful too.

Could be great. I want to like this app more. What would make this app go from good to great is the ability to log things under each pet for easier record keeping. The way it's set up right now there's just one long list for each item (medications, vaccines, weights, etc) and information gets jumbled when you have a multi-dog household. Would be a 5 star app if things were organized that way.

Doesn’t save information. This continuously deletes information I have saved . Each time I try to retrieve info , it’s gone.

Missing major functionality. Sorry I paid for this. I was attracted to the idea I could back it up after losing data with another app but entering vaccinations is a pain. There is s reminder but you can't specify how often the vaccine needs to be administered. Instead you have to use a klunky date picker. Good looking application that deserves some much needed fixes.

Wonderful app for your best friends. I don't rate many apps. But if you own dogs and want any easy way to track shot records, growth rate or just about anything about them. This app is great. I always know which pets turn it is to visit the vet. I also own a dog with Addison's disease who needs a shot at the same time each month. This app lets you set up reminders for meds due, shots due. Makes living with a special needs pet so much easier. If you own and love dogs you need this app.

AWSOME. I love it especially since i have a growing pup it makes it a lot easier to keep track of and since i volunteer at the humane society i can keep track of ones adopted out

Great app. Room for improvements, but this is the best one I've found. Wish you could upload more than one photo at a time and change the date on the caption. I like that I can finally export the data!

Love this app. I love this app as it very simple to use, however I would love to have an iPad version & back-up ability to back-up your pets information or sync with other devices. Other than that, I love the design & ease of use of this app for my pet records.

App doesn’t auto backup. I just got a new phone and lost years of my dogs medical history

Weight and shot records. I absolutely love this app. My vet is amazed at how well I keep my records and can pull up information on my dogs! I love being able to see when their last vaccinations were done and being able to set up a reminder that vaccinations are coming due. I also love being able to tell exactly how much weight my dogs either loss or gained. Would definitely recommend this app!!

Very very nice!. This app is what I want for a long time, I have a bad memory, but I can white my puppy's vaccinations info on this app, date, type and note, if I find my puppy is sensitive to something, I can log it immerciately on it, I can read the first aid in my spare time...... thanks to this app, it help me take a better care of my puppy.

Ok.... Buy. After a very annoying earlier review, it is only appropriate to update my opinion. Initial complaints were clarified to some extent which only speaks highly of hard work from the developer. Weight units & picture dates CAN be changed. Still room for improvement in the vaccinations tab as a schedule can be easily created as well as the vets info linked to the contacts app. Anyway, my intentions are only to give feedback as I am sure newer versions will be brushed up a little bit.

I love this app!. I got this app when I got my pup 6 months ago. It's great! It keeps up with all of his vaccinations and vet care. I also love being able to put pictures of him all in one place. He's changed so much in the last 6 months and it's so easy to go back and look!

Love this app!. I had to buy the app cuz I have multiple dogs, (5 ti be exact) but it was money well spent! I love being able to make notes on their health and injections and if I need copies of them send them to my email. I highly recommend this app for those dog moms that try to keep organized!

Great app needs a few things. Just adding the ability to link due date for Vaca into cake dee would be great- for example- a check mark next to a "next due date" enabling those users who would like to enter that info in - then have it auto link into the calander as appt! That would be cool- if a person doesn't want to enter or track that the don't have to check the box! Other than that- love it!

Ok. I like this App. I can list all the vaccines my dog had birthday, sex, breed etc. However, I am unable to share or email this information with a new veterinary. Also, app. Is not able to sync with my other devices. I'm sure I would find other things as I am new user.
