Hey, Suggestion. I understand you updated this 2 years ago and nothing else but you should add some things in 5.3, maybe lab trays, which are needed for the next feature, the lab dryer, it makes liquids solids, and you also should add the lab condenser, it basically makes gases liquids, oh and you should add Xenon, and Radon, we have Helium, Neon, and Argon, might as well complete the noble gases family

bugs. game has a lot of bugs and freezes when your in the middle of something. some reactions that should happen don’t. pretty basic on the lab gear. wish i wouldn’t have bought it

Disappointed. It's a really unfortunate scenario when you pay for the premium version of an app only for the developers to say, "we appreciate your purchase, but will require you to pay even more if you want (insert choice item)" when I paid for the pro version of this app it was to unlock ALL compounds/elements/reagents. That's what was advertised. I thoroughly enjoy this app, but I'm discouraged that I'm being asked to pay even more. No thanks.

Needs common names. This app is great.. but it needs names also for it. Names that anybody understands.

A chemist’s perspective. I’m an R&D chemist by trade, so I was excited to finally see what looked like a real chemistry app on the App Store! Unfortunately, most reactions that should work don’t. The pH reading function is completely broken (pure sulfuric acid doesn’t have a pH of 7), none of the organic reactions worked for me, and the in app purchases just added insult to injury. Don’t buy this app if you’re looking for anything even remotely scientific.

Great Educational Game dudes. Ight this game lit af there’s a glitch tho if u try to heat calcium to it’s melting point with a stopper on a round bottom the calcium just disappears but overall this game is the greatest

Stopped working with latest OS update. iPadOS 13.5.1 this update ruined the app No controls on screen bottom. No notebook, no unit controls, nothing other than lab reset. I paid for this app, please fix or refund

Not Satisfied. There are some chemical reactions that should work, but do not work on this app. This app has plenty bugs and needs an update and a better improvement overall. I really do enjoy using this app, but I’m not satisfied with the incomplete or lack of true results that should take place when dealing with certain chemical reactions. Manganese (II) Sulfate does not pour into any container.

Great, but. This game is great but I played the game a time ago and never purchased anything in the app. I re downloaded it and I had everything unlocked, although most people would find that great I think I should have had to pay for it, simply because this is a great game.

disappointed at best. none of the reactions work right. they either don’t happen or react randomly with something i didn’t add. this is a horrible app. do not buy it. i thought an app that costs 9 dollars would actually be functional, but i guess my low bar expectations were still too high. to reiterate: DO NOT BUY THIS APP. Disappointed. I'm severely disappointed, you don't get the excess reagent and most of these reactions don't even work, but I still like that there's way more possibilities. But again I hate that some of the reactions don't work, and it doesn't give you recommendations on what equipment to use

Looks slick but doesn’t actually do anything. Instead of only giving you the chemicals they built in reactions for, they just added everything with no functionality

Most reactions don’t work. Tried mixing KNO3 and H2SO4 to make HNO3 and it didn’t do anything. So I tried mixing it, heating it, cooling it, and nothing worked. This same thing happens with most reactions I try. Also, the PH paper has yet to function. This app is a really great concept honestly. If all the reactions worked then I would definitely recommend it to my AP Chem 2 buddies. For something that costs over $4.99 it should work properly. I’ve seen other apps that work better for free. Please please fix this guys! This app is a really good idea to develop more!!

Fun!. This app is such a fun thing to play around with, even for non-science people. I would like to suggest that you add some interesting experiments to try.

Refund. I bought the lab bundle. I was wondering if I could get a refund. The game is not what I expected at all...

Good app. Good app overall, a few bugs here and there (sometimes the ph indicator doesn't work).

Frustratingly incomplete. Platinum has no listed reactions, so it's inert in he app. HCl and HNO3 test 7 with ph tester. Want to make Aqua Regia and dissolve Platinum to make Platinum black catalyst, can't do it. Honestly beaker worked better.

Some elements are missing. There is no tin or atleast that I’ve found !

Needs an update!. For the price of the game I expect it robbed updated frequently. The game didn't have much content but as time went by I thought they would add more reactions etc. instead they just added more chemicals that you have to pay for!

Awesome App | A Few Suggestions. Hello! I would like to say that I absolutely love this app. Or use it on all the time, and sometimes to find out what would happen if I make a couple certain chemicals. Can’t tell you how much fun I’ve had mixing pure sodium with water so many times. However, I do have a suggestion. You should add AR support. A lot of other apps that don’t seem to be related to AR at all are also adding it. Your app could definitely benefit from using it, as you could have a virtual chemistry lab that actually looks like it’s in a lab. You could place your chemistry lab on a desk, or anywhere else in the world. It would be extremely fun to use. I understand that this may be difficult to develop. However, I think the community at large would enjoy it and you should develop it. Thanks.

Any updates coming soon?. This is a great app; and considering it has been around a few years, I believe it is time for updates.

Has Potential. Was playing around with the chemistry set and noticed that i couldnt freeze water as easily as i hope. if there could be an update where i can fluctuate the temperature of the environment more easily then we can really start cooking. Best of luck.

Ok.... The app itself is fine, but 2 major problems with this is that you can’t go below -100c, and the iPad support is terrible. fix these two and I’ll give it 5 stars.

Great App. This is one of the favorite apps that I have found. It seems to have realistic and plentiful chemical reactions to work with. There are also a plethora of chemicals to work with. I also really like the lab equipment and options.

THE BEST APP!! But I just need to do a little bug report. I just installed this app today and I’m really enjoying but there’s this bug where on iPad, you don’t get a temperature button or a settings button. (It’s cut off) Hope to see the bug be fixed soon! ;D

The ph test paper cannot change color, it alway appears the same color(7.0). Please tell me how to use it.

Awesome app!. I love chemistry and this is so much fun to play with but is also a great tool for use to study, trying an experiment out rather than just reading it is certain fun and interesting. An update for the new retina screen would be amazing! Otherwise the only really useful update would be more accurate measurement capabilities, i.e. being able to change the molarity of solutions and being able to use pipettes/burettes for acid base stuff. Also a scale would be helpful! I would love to be able use this app a bit more seriously in my study rather than just as a game sort of thing. The potential is there and I'm sure it wouldn't be too challenging to add these new capabilities. Overall it's an amazing app! Fun, interactive and a great way to explore chemistry.

Has potential, but lacks accuracy. This could be fantastic, but a huge number of reactions are absent. This is disappointing when trying to emulate experiments that should work, but don't.

Sometimes laggy... But otherwise good and accurate. I was playing this game on my brothers ipad and I was like this is good so I downloaded the app and thought lets read reviews but there were none so I am writing one now. First the negatives: Sometimes it laggs and I have to exit the app close it and go back in. Positives: The app can teach you and the effects are quite accurate.

Eh.... I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong, but it’s kind of an eh game. You can’t really mix anything as it just settles as layers, so if you’re trying to do something cool like making gunpowder it won’t really work. I couldn’t even purify salt water, it was going through the tube but nothing really appeared, it just ended up with the containers always breaking. It’s fun to mess with sometimes but I kind of don’t want it. Then again I could just be using it wrong.

Great app. Allows you to conduct many simple experiments on your phone. I really hope more chemicals could be added and reactions involving gases perfected e.g. H2O +CO2-> H2CO3 I couldn't get this reaction to occur.

Not bad. The idea behind this app is fantastic and it is similar to the yenka chemistry program that I use with my science classes. Unfortunately the range of reactions is far too limited. For instance copper sulfate + lead nitrate = copper nitrate + lead sulfate but in this app nothing happens. Therefore its biggest strength as a method of investigation and experimentation is lost. Not much added with the latest update. Unfortunately most of the chemicals don,t do anything. They just sit in a beaker, totally unreactive, since there are too few recognised reactions for them to do anything. This app has great potential. It is currently unrealised.

Great app for chemistry. Nice graphic and content

pretty good. This is pretty much exacty the app i was looking for. Has a large amount of solids, liquids, and gasses and you can create mixtures etc. Version 2.5 has three bugs that ive found: 1) transferring 100ml of water from one beaker to another creates around .2ml of extra water. 2) Some reactions cause the app to grind to nearly a halt. (heating thermite) 3) Saving liquids as favorites 'changes' them. When I mixed magnesium with hydrogen cloride, i stored the mixture. the water in the resultant liquid was absent after saving it. ------ Would be nice if i could ignite rocket toffee, maybe i'm doing it wrong.

Awesome!. As a chemistry student in his 2nd year, this app is fantastic! It has some great potential (i.e., the addition of more equipment, such as reflux apparatus, distilling apparatus and addition of alkyl group compounds). It is already really good though and the only app / program of its kind. Well done on such a unique and original app! Love to see more updates :D

Ok. It’s a decent game but you can’t make gunpowder or even really make steam It’s fun to mess around in but if you’re looking for something realistic i would buy a professional computer program

There is a bug. There is a huge bug on the app which doesn't allow the chemicals to go into the beakers or other containers, please fix asap.

Needs to be updated.. Looks like the app is probably abandoned and worked on other apps. This need to continue the development of the app. And I also heard that you mentioned in the website there is somefeature named: “Cloudlab” doesn’t do anything since the update where the UI has changed, no new chemicals and reactions are added once the update where the UI has changed... If you are going to buy this app. It’s not active. No updates... it’s really upsetting me. Let’s hope the app is going to be active again...

Fantastic!. Honestly, this app is amazing! It's really realistic with so many fun experiments that you can try. I always hated chemistry but this app has made chemistry fun and interesting for me. Of course, there are still quite a few bugs that need to be fixed to bring the app to its full potential. Especially with this new update. Once the bugs are fixed, I will give a full five star rating. This app is fantastic, and totally worth the money! Buy it now!!!

Poor interface. This app has the potential to be really great but the interface really needs to be upgraded. I deleted it after 2 minutes.

Good, but needs more equipment. I like the app, but I can't add any substance of less than 10 grams, which is silly because in real life I'd be using values like 0.50 g of Mg (for example). Also, I'd like to be able to control the mol/L of the mixtures. I don't necessarily always want the standard molar of a solution. Lastly, the equipment is good, but I'd like to see some more things like maybe a calorimeter, or larger flasks, etc. a good app, but needs more!

Nice but inaccurate. The idea is very brigtht, and nicely done from the interface side. Super convenient and smooth chemical experiment constructor. Unfortunately the underlying AI does not know much about Chemistry. Many of the reactions are not detected . HNO3 would not just decompose in presence of any reductant. . Many of the reagents are wrong - CuSO4 is not white, H3PO4 is not solid . And of course nobody should assemble completely closed flask-and-bottle line for heating anything. So there is a room for improvement. Hire a Chemist to straighten it up.

This app has been destroyed!!!. I use to love this app, I would have given it a 5 star rating any day of the week. Unfortunately I can no longer give this app a 5 star rating and I'm revoking 4 of those stars. Why you might ask? Because the app is completely unusable! I'll be more specific, just so the developers will know what needs to be fixed in this once great app. Well I'll start off with the fact that when you drag any piece of equipment to the lab, the equipment menu stays open and you have to click off the menu just to close it. Second, when you try to pour any chemical (lets say h2o, as an example) into any piece of equipment (lets say a beaker) instead of pouring the liquid (or any solid/gas) the bottle shows nothing being poured into the beaker (not only does the animation fail, but also the beaker literally has no contents according to the content labelling (eg. moles/weight/temp/molarity) there is nothing in the beaker after attempting to pour any chemical). Also not only does the chemical container not pour anything, but it also freezes in the middle of pouring something and the container will just stay there, frozen on the screen and there's nothing you can do to get the chemical container to disappear. Not only do the chemicals not pour and the chemical containers freeze in the middle of attempting to pour a chemical into all equiptment, but you also can't even interact with the any of the equipment menu's. For instance, you can't use tubing because when you click on "tube" the tube appears but when you try to drag it, it doesn't move at all! When you try to click the "remove" or "clear" button, they don't work or even disappear to show that you even pressed it. It's as though the screen doesn't recognize 90% of your actions... Another thing is that you can't use any of the tools such as the pH strips, thermometer, match, ect...at all! I'm incredibly disappointed by this programs incredible amount of bugs, it's as though these bugs were put in on purpose! Why do I say this? Because I've never seen so many bugs be programmed in on a single version update, nor have I seen a program be rendered so inoperable and completely disabled as I've seen this program become! They should apply to the 'Guinness book of world records' or 'Ripley's believe or not', because I've never seen such a wonderful program become such a piece of crap in so little time!!! Honestly, at this point I'm pretty much ready to ask for my money back, because I payed money foe this app and it's one of the few apps that I was willing to pay for, but I'm very disapointed with how the developers managed to destroy such a wonderful program that I loved to use, into the mess that it is right now!!! Please fix this monstrosity ASAP!!!

Hard to press buttons. On a mobile device like a ipod or iphone it is almost (and I still havent been able to do it yet...) is press the buttons for solids gasses and liquids... and this is why we have different apps for ipad (because they have a bigger screen) where this code used to make the app would work perfectly on an ipad on other devices such as ipods and iphones our screens are not that sensitive to know exactly what we are trying to press (and even if it was our fingers are still bigger than the buttons we want to press)if this does not get fixed then I will want my money back as I cannot do anything with it

Paid app still have inapp purchase?. Unreasonable

I love it but.... The problem is how glitchy it is. The temperature and weight is messed up and fluctuates so much it’s basically impossible to see the stats making it impractical to use. When heating sometimes I just get more of the chemical like from thin air, without even adding anything to it. Other times it just disappears when I try pouring.

Very Cool Chemistry Set. I really enjoyed this app. It is wonderful for practicing stoichiometry monitoring reaction rates. I wish you guys could throw in some organic reagents and more advanced glassware. A condenser that could distill and also do reflux would be awesome and could let you make some cool little organic molecules. Maybe even attempt synthesis of larger compounds like drugs.

It's alright. I just got this app and it pretty good so far. It's needs a lot of improvement and it crashes/lags sometimes on me, but so far it's good.

It won't download. It won't download for me whenever i download it, it doesn't work at all it starts to download but right in the middle it stops it so fricken annoying

Simple and powerful. This is the best educational app I've ever used. It's amazing! It's easy to use and very intuitive. I love the powerful offline database. I strongly recommend this app to school kids who are interested in science. Very engaging!

HORRIBLE!!!. The items are next to impossible to control. We used the help menu and still had extreme difficulty even picking items up. Never did get anything in a beaker to mix chemicals no matter how hard we tried. We should be able to get a full refund for this dud of an app. Incredibly frustrated and disappointed by this HORRIBLE app.

Great app but..... Honestly, when i got this app i expected a lot more... It kind of glitches often and sometimes i wish it would actually give you a couple of tips on what to combine... But if you are one of those chemistry experts or the kind of person who likes to randomly mix up objects, this app is for you! Excellent. I love this app. I bought it to have an unlimited virtual chemistry set and it has not disappointed. With some creativity you can create and store new chemicals as well. Looking forward to each update. Keep up the great work!

Fix quick. This is a cool app, but the other review about deleting it is correct. I had it for 30mins and it went blank. The screen just turned white and the app won't reload no matter what you do. I like the concept, but terrible function. As well, the solid elements tab drags. As the heading says, FIX QUICK!

Cool app, helpful for chemistry students. Chemist is a great app for simulating chemical reactions on a tablet. A good feature is more reagents being added up automatically, giving us the chance of producing more kinds of reactions. It also shows the equations of the reactions that took place. Really helpful for chemistry students and even fun for those who just want to experiment with compounds or solutions they've never held or never had access to. On another note, could use some bug fixing with crash issues.

Control. It's hard to control and put a burner under the tripod or just anything really. Needs work. Fix this please.

Works on iPad 1. The info said it wouldn't work for iPad 1st gen but it did for me!

More things should be added. They should add more things. Such as some "types of acid" Some small beakers for more precise measurements . Be able to keep viewing the recipe for a reaction while not looking for ingredients .a feature that let's you turn the lights out and

NO LONGER WORKS!!!. Ever since I got the latest update, I have been unable to put stuff on either stand, including the burners, i also am unable to do ANY reactions because no matter what chemical I drag to any of the containers, nothing shows up in them, and the little bubble that used to show what was in the containers doesn't show up when I try to add chemicals.

It could easily be much better.. No hot plate or spin bars, pH strips instead of a meter (effects accuracy), and no way to label your beakers. This app is clearly not for people who know their way around a lab.

Dissapointing. At least some reactions happen. But the educational value is dubious since "bug" phenomenon out number reactions. Helium doesn't escape from an open cup, nor does anything else. There's nothing like heat conduction or thermodynamics: mixtures have separate and bizarrely unrelated temperatures for each component. Worse, it's hard to derive any principals of chemistry other than discovering a list of pre-programmed reactions by trial and error. This conveys a sense of chemistry being about route memorizations rather than understanding. The app runs painfully slow, lagging severely with even a modest setup.

Grest app! A little buggy though.. So after downloading the app I was able to use it perfectly until a couple of hours after downloading I encountered some problems: "reset lab" button not resetting the whole lab. The liquids, solids, and mixtures not showing up in any of the containers The reset lab button is sometimes missing At first, re downloading the app solved the problem for a few minutes until it started to happen again. Please fix as re downloading the App a bunch of times is very tedious! Great app though!

Content suggestion. i think more ionic combinations should be available, such as more chlorate, chlorite, hypochlorite, and other -ate, -ite, and hypo--ite combos. Also, when I upgraded to the "full" version, achievements disappeared, and aside from getting every substance available in the game, it lost a lot of functionality in general. I'll have to contact them about this.

Amazing, but needs protocol wizards. This is by far the best executed science app of any kind that I have seen. I almost NEVER pay more than 99c, and even then rarely, but I shelled out the full $5 for this one. It only needs one more feature to make it perfect, which is a set of protocol wizards. That is, internal guides that tell you how to do interesting sequences of reactions. These could even be crowd sourced somehow - people publishing interesting reaction sequences that they have discovered. Without this you're just mixing things at random, or worse trying to go through a chemistry text book. (Or, like me, you happen to know a bunch of these, but my son doesn't, and it's for him, not me, and I don't want to have to talk him through everything.) Cleverly designed wizards could have levels ranging from telling you every step, through letting you figure out missing reactions.

Nice app, need more features. This is a great app for studying chemistry, but it would be nice if you could stir solids together and have a little guide that has experiments you could do. Also needs better effects. But worth the 4.99$.

Good but REALLY BUGGY!!!. I have to continue deleting it in order to get it to work. And then it only works for a little while until I have to delete it again. Not sure what his problem is but it certainly could use some work. But other than that it's a lot of fun when it does work.

AWESOME...EXCEPT FOR.... This app is awesome. But in 3.0.0, the ability to save your combinations has been taken off. Please add that feature again. Other than that... Cinco estrellas (5 stars)

Caveat emptor. Well I was hoping the new release would be better. Yes the visual quality is better and great at demonstrating reactions but still fails on some basic chemistry principles. How can a simple H2O NaCl solution separate into a solid when transferred between containers? Looking forward to exploring this release thoroughly.

Humph. I purchased this two weeks ago, everything worked well. Now it wants me to upgrade to get things I already had. Besides that, I can't upgrade since the commercial version is installed. Please fix!

Great app can't wait for next version. This version is awesome, but could use a few things like stirrers, a few different flasks and distillation apparatus, and I would love to see a digital thermometer added as well. A few additional chemicals would be good too like alcohols, keystones, and standard titrates.

No Messy Chemicals To Get On Your Hands!. This app Rocks! By far one of my favorite apps. Visual learning leaves deeper impressions. I have been using it to "bench test" different reactions for my 2nd year of college chem. Very impressive. Please continue to add more and continue upgrading this program. All my other classmates after seeing my copy just had to follow and are now users too! One of the better apps out there! if you ever wanted to learn chemistry this is a must have. Great App!. I am a chemistry student and use this app slmost all the time. It is a very nice app with great options like enviroment temprature and PH lvl etc. No Bugs Found. Brofist THIX for creating this.

Great if you already know a thing or two about chemistry. I've wanted this exact app forever. But it still has a few design problems that don't ruin it, but are too big to ignore. You can't search for elements, there's no names attached to the beakers and burners, the whole app smells slightly of rushed, slapdash design. Of course it does what it does well, which is simulate chemical reactions. But you can't get much use out of it if you don't already know a thing or two or ten about chemistry.

Organic Synthesis?. The concept behind this app is excellent! It's a great start for general chemistry and inorganic chemistry, but I'd love to see an update or second app for Organic Chemistry. Synthesizing products from a library of starting materials and practicing separation techniques (fractional distillation, separatory columns, vacuum filtration, etc.) Being able to perform multi-step conversions would be a huge step in the right direction for this app!

ABSOLUTLEY LOVE but..... This app is everything I could possibly hope for, but man, is this app buggy!! I mean, every few times I use it, I have to uninstall and then reinstall in order to fix the bugs. COME ON THIX, FIX THIS APP

Needs common names. Really great app, but needs to display common names. (Ex. H2SO4 needs to have a tag in its info screen that says Sulfuric Acid)

Seems pretty good to me. I remember little about Chemistry, but this app seems neat. Lots of stuff to mix and react. No bugs that I found as yet. Wish list: • Show the full names of the different chemicals as an option (e.g., water, sulfuric acid) • Add the ability to search (for when I want to quickly find salt, but I can't remember that it's NaCl). • Undo last action. • In-app help and tutorial, for those of us who don't remember Chemistry class, but want to make things 'splode!

Best chemistry app on the AppStore!. This app is 100% worth the money! Hands down the best chemistry app on the AppStore. Kudos to the THIX creators. Very realistic and legitimate, without the risk of being harmed!

GREAT app!. I'd give this a 10 out of a 5-star rating if I could! The ONLY APP of its kind, it's a must have for budding chemists to tinkerers to educators. Very cleverly thought out. I thought it might be interesting to have a thermometer, and VOILA!...an update to the app with a bunch of new tools and glassware (including a thermometer!). Get the paid version...it's not that much and worth every penny and then some. To the developers: Glad I stumbled upon this app! Keep it up and I hope to see more from you! Thanks!

Lacks basics. Lacks tons of common chemicals and lab equipment. For instance it doesn't have hot plates, multi neck Florence flask, filtration earlenmier flask. You can't design your own compounds and use them. It doesn't even have bleach or any basic hydrocarbons. It's a kids game. It's not worth 1 dollar

Needs work. I like the whole idea of it but there's a lot of improvements yet to be made. Improvements to things like the controls of everything and the overall reactions. It's hard to move anything around, let alone trying to mix stuff. Reactions need work because adding Li to water should result in an immediate reaction, along with several other reagents. Like I said, it's a good start but it's definitely not worth $5 yet.

Good App, but with glitches.. I like the app and all the features, which aren't many yet, but are still enough to reproduce various experiments. Yet, there is a glitch with the temperature because when something is exposed to an open flame it decreases in temperature. Also the labels malfunction and are not representative of the actual reaction. Please fix these glitches, thank you.

Great App for Children. I downloaded this for my son and it turned out to be a great idea. My son is in elementary school and he just loved it, though he doesn’t quite understand the concepts behind all the formulas. I am glad he is enjoying and learning from this app.

Great App. The best app I've seen with the most used apparatus available. Plus, a HUGE number of chemicals in solid, liquid, and gas forms as well as mixtures. When I took chemistry in college, my grade was a mere average; but this app, had it existed then, would have made the experience more exciting and fun! Love it!

What about other chemicals?. I want these powder, fluorescence and other liquid thingies!! So PLEASE add them back, so the I can do some new experimental stuff!!!!! :'(

Good but.... Needs more streamlining across the board, can't at all figure out how to work with large quantities of gases. Allow for temperatures to go down to near absolute zero (so we can work with things like liquid helium and hydrogen. Add more capabilities such as applying electric current to materials, don't have the glassware randomly shatter without any explanation why, allow us to heat things beyond 800 Celsius.

Wow. Just. Wow.. Chemist is an educational simulation app that works well. To be frank, $10 is expensive for it, but I paid. Now they charge me again for organic compounds? Is $10 not enough for you greedy amateurs? As a student, I should not be having to fuel so much money into an educational app especially when I already invested in it originally.
