Fun and easy to use. For a complete novice as myself Fotor has been so fun! Still learning how to layer effects which is helping to ignite my creativity. Definitely been a game changer in helping me turn my photos into artwork. Looking forward to learning all this App offers. I did upgrade to Pro to take advantage of more options and it has been so worth it.

Great App. I recently left a bad review because I thought the app wasn’t working, but it was operator error. I wasn’t logged in. Now that I am, it’s an amazing photo app that will buy again! Love love love LOVE this photo app. It’s even better when you have the paid version and really awesome that it lets you pay annually because it’s kinda expensive but pictures are so important to me (not of myself but of my family and life around me). I love being able to add color to my grandparents old black and white photos or enhancing the resolution or just making a cute collage of both my kids with the cute stickers and simple frames. I’ve used this app for YEARS and it’s one of the first apps I download anytime I get a new phone. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😊👍

Awful. The worst experience I have ever had with a company! Scammers!!!!! I never write reviews but looking at everyone else’s reviews, wow, this is happening a lot do not give them any money they will continue to run your card!!!!!! This company has been awful to work with. This subscription from 2 years ago randomly charged me and I promptly contacted them letting them know I don’t use this service and had cancelled my subscription. They are not helping me with the issue and charged me 40$ for a 1 month period which is suppose to be 8.99 according to the subscriptions … this seems so sketchy to me, yet the help center keeps referring to this as a reasonable charge and won’t offer me a phone number to call! This is awful

Please read. It great don’t get me wrong but I wish some of the things are a little over board Example: you can only save a few pictures then you can’t anymore and you only get a few “leaves” which allow access to the Ai stuff. I am just trying to find an app that can do stuff with out me paying $30

Awesome!. I have used Fotor for a few years now, but I still love the classic templates the most! I have a clothing business and I am able to post pictures with close ups of the fabric or a specific design as well as a picture of the entire outfit and different pieces! Thanks Fotor for making this kind of posting so simple and easy to use!

No longer recognizing subscription. After many attempts to restore my purchase after my pro account suddenly disappeared, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It still will not restore my purchase. I have tried this twice and checked to make sure my subscription is current, and it is. I see from reviews that I’m not the only person with this problem. To the developer, I’m on an iPhone 11 Pro with all software up to date. This is clearly a widespread problem, so I suggest you fix it asap. As it is, I’m going to see if Apple will issue a refund because I’m not getting what I paid for.

Tina Smithers. This app is so amazing! I have edited many of my pictures on here and they look so professional and amazing. The only reason I gave this app 4 stars instead of 5 is because when I first downloaded this app is because they advertised a beauty button which can get rid of yellow teeth and wrinkles in your pictures but I have not been able to find this feature which I was very upset about. But overall this is a very exceptional app for editing photos and very highly recommended.

Still new at this but it’s promising!. I just loaded this App the other day and decided to purchase the “pro” version. It did not disappoint! Even with my VERY limited experience (skill), I was able to put together a nice Christmas collage photo to give family members as gifts. I think there’s some kind of tutorial and if so, will take it but first time using “trial and error” my mini project came out very well…

The Avatars Are Not Capturing Black Featured. I’ve spent a lot of money and time over the past few days on this app and have gotten close to 400 avatars. I’m disappointed because first of all I am a black woman and over half the avatars I receive back have all-white features and white skin. I’m not sure why this is happening but I’ve done avatars for multiple black people and they are all coming back with white features. If the features aren’t white women they are white males. The very first avatar I created was with one photo of myself. The avatars that returned were white males with beards. I DON’T HAVE A BEARD. Can someone explain why this is happening?

A Perfect Collage. I have used many apps to create collage. This is my favorite of all time. The best part I like about this we can change the frame size to fit pictures perfectly within a collage. No watermark even on free version. Never crashed, great quality and you can find a template for any occasion or any # of pictures. 👍🏼

The Ai cartoonize feature is…. Pretty much every single image I generated using the photo to cartoon AI feature came out extremely light skinned, blue eyed, and looking like they were about to sign up for the aryan youth. I’m of a medium skin tone, so I would hate to see what the feature does to people who have an even darker tone than I do. I get that Ai art is generated using existing art, but come on. The bias for light skin is strong in the data pulled for these ai generations, to say the least.

“Professional Pic AI”. First, the app will not allow you to use this feature without subscribing for a year, ($40), which is not forced on you until after you’ve gone through the uploading process. Then it says your first AI generation on Pro is free. It never says that the Professional AI is not included in that ($10). Pricing aside, I have never seen such terrible AI creations. I used the exact same pics with Lensa and got significantly better results with them for less money. This app made me patchy, distorted the eyes and nose, added hair, none matching what I gave. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the regular AI generation where you give prompts was actually good. But otherwise I feel scammed.

SCAM: They Take Your Money Whether You Like It Or Not. This app is a complete scam, and utter disappointment. Not only am I not satisfied with the app, I was charged before the trial was technically concluded. I’ve requested a refund, with no response. I’ve never seen a graphic design/photo editing company so fraudulent and abhorrent. EVERY brand that offers this kind of product, offers refunds for customers who are no longer interested in their product. If you know what’s good for you, AVOID the free trial and avoid paying for this scam. I doubt they’ll change their policy, and according to many other customers, they keep charging after cancellation. I will never download or endorse any product from the parent company; Chengdu Hengtu Technology, Co. as it’s clear they are making money of the backs of unsuspecting customers via a well calculated subscription fraud.

Was my favorite app and now for a month it just freezes.. I love this app what is happened in an update? For the first time ever my app has been freezing and no matter if I uninstall and reinstall it. It’s still freezing after I’ve edited an image. This has been consistent since September 8th, 2019. Please advise. I have no choice but to go to my alternative app I avoided because of this one.

Horrible customer Service & Charged for a free trial. Fotor is a horrible app and customer service that’s just getting rich on people looking around. I was looking for an app that would enhance photos and this came up. Before I could even try to edit a photo there was a free trial offer for free. Just like any free offers you have to put in a card info. But I found out that I was charge the full amount and there policy is strictly no REFUNDS no matter what. Thank goodness I didn’t accidentally free trial with the full year or I would’ve been out that money. Their app doesn’t even do what I wanted and I went with another service. Be aware of this app and company just stealing money from you before you ever even get to look at how it works.

great basic photoshop. i havent been using this long but its had all the features a basic photoshop app would. the interface is clean and i love how simple it is, it's perfect for editing photos in a simple way but could be used for drastic effect changes if you wanted it to. the only thing i would suggest is, along with the focus tool, a blur brush to blur certain things in the photo rather than picking a single focal point. also, that the vintage tool have an option to choose where the vintage forms around-basically how the current focus tool is but for vintage. other than that, ive been experimenting with different staple photo editing apps and this one has been my favorite so far :)

Frustrating. Unlike all other photo editing apps, when I go to open a photo to edit in Fotor, it forces you to find it by date and not by latest added in the iPhone camera roll. So if you have 1000 images and you add a new photo from your computer to the camera roll, good luck finding it! You will have to scroll over and over your images until you get to the date the original photo was taken. All other photo apps default is whatever photo you added last to the camera roll. So if a customer send me a photo to edit and I added to the camera roll, it’s incredibly annoying to find it with Fotor.

I’ve had this app since the first iTouch. I’ve been using Fotor since I can remember. I love every feature it comes with. It is completely overrated. It by far has the most sophisticated features compared to any other phone app or online free apps. Yet extremely easy to use. The variety of options it offers makes any picture a master piece.

A Lifesaver. I needed to present photo clips of videos for evidence in court because the videos were too long. There were too many photos for anyone to go through so I tried combining them by making them line up on my iPhone photo app and taking a screenshot. Then I got smart and looked for a collage maker online. Fotor is easy to use and I’m so grateful they have free access to basic tools. Thank you Team Fotor.

Can I make a recommendation?. I absolutely love this app, and I use it very, very often. I would love to see a way to put the same set of edits on a group of photos. For example, I had picked 7 shots of my daughter to edit, but instead of trying to do the exact same edits 7 different times, I'd love to just be able to apply the same edits to all of the photos together. Awesome app, but please roll out this option, and it'll be the best app on the planet!

Less features on app than computer. Disappointed. I had found this on google off my iPhone for a red eye remover and although it gives the option on their website for beauty edits it doesn’t work, or should I say cooperate when I tried to use it. The problem was it wouldn’t allow me to pin point edit my photo because there is no “zoom” on the page. It suggests that you use the app for full benefits however, on the app it doesn’t even have the option for the beauty edit! False advertising much?

AWFUL. I wanted to test out their premium membership and they told me that it was $3 per month and $27 yearly so I choose the $3 per month. They then charged me $27 and when I reached out to them they tried to tell me it was $8.99 a month and then $3 monthly with a down payment of $27. So when I asked them to change my plan over to the $8.99 one they completely shut me down and refused to give me my money back! Money which I didn’t have! The customer service person i talked to was extremely rude and would not listen to my complaints. And they didn’t even ask me if I wanted to confirm my purchase. They just took my debit card information and charged me. At one point the customer service representative stopped answering me which was extremely unprofessional. I would never support this app or this company! They’re a giant rip off and extremely rude to customers who were just trying to fix a situation with their subscription.

What once was free, now is locked. This app has potential, and there are some fun features like stickers and collage templates, but the number of things that are now locked behind their premium paywall is a bit absurd. Want to save a photo to your phone? Hope you didn’t add a frame or adjust the width! Premium required! It’s extremely frustrating how subtle some of these adjustments are that suddenly switch you into pay-to-save mode. Also, the image size/quality when you *can* save is a bit hit and miss; about half of the saves I made were pixelated/artifacted by their save process. I’ve finally uninstalled the app. It’s not useful to me at all anymore, I’ll just be using free web based apps instead.

I’ll Be Honest. I clicked 3 day trial right for their premium? so why is it that when it went to the confirmation/payment section it was then an 8.99/month or some charge per year. I figured that was after the three days if you kept using it and didn’t end the subscription right? WRONG. I just got a charge pending from apple for 8.99 on my card and that is the only subscription that has that specific charge price. as far as I’m concerned that’s pretty shady. what’s even more shady? if you look at their plans closer that’s not the cheapest plan, the cheapest is 4.99 which is half the price. Not only did I get charged when I didn’t want to but I was only given the option to pay twice the possible minimum. That’s kind of shady fotor

Not satisfied. First mistake was mine, I didn’t realize the free trial was up so I was charged for the yearly subscription. There’s no warning email or message so keep track for yourself. However, the app has a ton of options BUT you have to use “credits” for a lot of those features. I find this ridiculous. I’ve already paid for the app and it’s features but now I have to use credits?? Lame. I (mistakenly) paid $40 for this app, I shouldn’t have to worry about credits on top of it 🙄

How Does the Free Version of Fotor Compare to Photoshop?. I made a living for 40 years color correcting photos for press. The go to program was Photoshop. The Fotor app contains has some the same features we relied on every day. Specifically the Curve Gradation Grid, (3 channel RGB manipulating feature) Sharpening, Saturation/desaturate and Levels, Distort and Mirror Image and Text Features that Fotor has that Photoshop doesn’t have that I use all the time, are your Shadow opening and Vignette features. The only Photoshop features I miss that Fotor doesn’t have (I think) is image scaling/sizing (enlarge and reduce image for printing) and channel mixing. (Moving the content of one Channel like Red to the Yellow. Also isolating an area with a mask to color correct the rest of the picture Orr correct what is isolated. Great program even for the pro…like me….blush.

Don’t bother. It was fun for the first few projects. I wanted to try it before I paid for Pro. After a couple of projects there are major glitches. Won’t let you edit text. (Cursor disappeared and when you add new text it pasted the old text and put new text somewhere in the middle then won’t let you back up) frustrating to say the least. Problem adding photos. I won’t pay for pro and will keep looking for other apps.

Great easy to use App. I’ve had and used the free version of Fotor for years now and have used it many times for the simplicity and easy to use availability. I like it so much I am considering subscribing now. I like that for years it hasn’t changed the app name or has forced you to buy it in order to make beautiful and easy collages, text adding, themes, background, etc. I’ve used many photo editing apps and so far this is my favorite!

I really like this app but…. I have twice been charged for purchases that I did not make or have been overcharged. The first time I was overcharged for a price that was clearly labeled half off and I did receive my money back. The second charge I not only outright did not make. I like the app and I did subscribe and make purchases but I don’t understand why this is an issue at all. I’m reluctant to make further purchases because of this issue. Don’t make purchases because they’ll go into your account without permission.

Powerful. I’m far from competent with photos or editing photos. I’ve tried a lot of different Apps over the years. This is the first one I’ve actually stuck with for more than a few weeks. It’s easy, powerful and fun. Has everything I could ever want in one App. And this is the only review of a photo app I’ve ever written, so I kinda like it, a lot.

Amazing free app, shame about so many ads. Should be a 5 star app, and I used to use it religiously, but recently the free version has spiked the number of ads - it’s now every single photo edit you get an ad. There are also some ads that get stuck and don’t let you back to the app after 5 secs. I understand “free” means some ads, but every photo seems overkill and it didn’t used to be that frequent. The fact that there’s a pro version should be the money maker, entice people in with a great free version and they’ll likely upgrade. Can guarantee that nobody enjoys sitting through ads and is willing to pay just to avoid them, not how it works. For now, I just turn off WiFi and data if I’m editing 20ish pics to disable ads because I don’t want to sit through 20 ads. But it’s a shame I have to. Other than that, even the free features are brilliant hence still 4 stars.

Very misleading. First off, they should NOT have an app you can’t use. YOU CAN NOT USE your iPhone or iPad to use 98% of FOTOR. I purchased it after reading so many great things about their templates, design and ability to erase the background. Again, you can’t do any of that with this app. I paid for the 1 year service 8 months ago and still haven’t been able to use it. I finally bought a laptop a month ago and signed into my account and it keeps telling me to “Upgrade to FOTOR PRO”. Ive written to them twice and waiting to for them to respond to me a week later.

Good, functional app. Have been using the Fotor mobile app for over a year now. I like what’s available for use for the free users. I mostly make photo collages and it’s simple enough for that. Very nice mobile interface. Can zoom, increase/decrease borders, choose different grid layouts, change aspect ratio (square, wide, narrow) for different projects. I’ve used the web app as well, and it’s a lot more in-depth and allows more fine tuning, such as enlarging and positioning exactly. Great for adding text and so forth. There’s layouts that are pay to use, but I’ve gotten by with the essential free ones, and no complaints here. There isn’t much in the way of ads or in-app purchases, although they are available, like stickers. But I mostly don’t use the app for graphic creation, just collages, so it doesn’t affect me one way or another. If you’d like a free, usable app that doesn’t limit too many of your creative choices, this is a good one, especially for simple collage creation. I do find however that there is a bit of compression for finer, smaller text, and so for graphic creation I give the edge to Canva, another free app.

Great app, user friendly. I use this app for professional edits, I just wish you could use the edit and touch up at the same time so you don’t need to save the photo exit to touch up then open it again. It would be much more efficient. That and the ability to mask would really elevate the app. I Love the recipe feature and everything else. To me it’s more user friendly than LR.

So user friendly, and so many options. I usually don’t write reviews but I had to make an exception for this app. The free version is amazing and I bet the paid version is even better. There are so many cool options and it’s so user-friendly and easy to use when you download what you created it comes in amazing format without a watermark. Thank you so much to whoever created this app you are the best.

So much easier than PS for simple edits. I’ve been a Photoshop Elements user for years. Fotor allows me to do much more. The only thing I haven’t figured out is how to increase resolution, but I’m sure if I looked it up it would be easier. This program did a fantastic job of restoring some old family photos. Highly recommend!

Love hate relationship. I love this apps editing tools, especially the focus, and curves. This is my go to app for editing my cell photos. I LOVE the focus tool, and is pretty much the reason I use this app over others. The things that seem to need some work are the filters, temperature and the vignette. The filters need to much manipulating to make it look good and worth my while. The vignette goes from 0-100 with it literally being on 1. The temp runs a little orange. Ultimately I do a bulk of my editing on here, and then use filters, temp and Vignette in instagram.

I’ve used Fotor for years. This has been my go-to collage app for years, & I use it for personal pics as well as photos for my Etsy shop. It’s easy to use, & creates items with a professional appearance. I’ve given it a 4-star rating because there have been instances where I wish it had MORE - colors, background options, fonts, & a way to fully enlarge text boxes. All in all, it’s a really solid app, & I definitely recommend it for someone that is a beginner or intermediate designer. (& I’m using it right now)

Just another AI SCAM. Bought a Pro license for a month, together with 500 credits, more then half the tools in the app still require extra payment once you try to use them, such as AI Avatar creator. Then I cancelled the subscription, and 10min after the cancellation they took another month out of my credit card. The wrap up a few free services like a background removal that you get for free on any website and then they lower you into a cheap subscription model that includes almost nothing and make you pay AGAIN for anything fancy. Skip this app.

Fake. I uploaded my very nice clean raw photo from my phone. First thing I did was to use the eraser, and removed one small object. The photo then was suddenly appearing in a very low quality (much lower quality), and somehow coincidentally, it asked me to use a high quality photo option. Then magically it showed me how my photo looked before and after, super hi quality. What a scam! Immediately I went back and cancel my free trial! I prefer Polish, perhaps just a few less features, but works flawless and great filters, in addition to the price this app cannot match!

Now I just need to find the auto color pop tool!. So far this is the best of the apps that I have tried, but I am still looking for the tool in this app that would allow me to re-color/Color Pop pictures simply by tapping on the object, example, on a beach scene I would like to be able to tap on a swimsuit and the water and have everything else remain gray. The only tools I have found so far require me to do this with my finger and I just can't be that precise no matter what size brush I use.

Features not there. VERY disappointed in this app, especially after paying an unrefundable fee for features that aren’t even there. No matter how many videos/sites I look at, my screen doesn’t match what’s shown. I can’t find the colorize feature and the help desk never replied to my question about this. The profile picture just adds funky backgrounds that don’t look like avatars at all. While there are some fun features like the frames and the shapes, about 90% of the editing tools can be found for free in Snapseed and other photo apps. Don’t waste your money on this app. If the creators don’t care, take your business elsewhere.

FOTOR HAS TRULY DISAPPOINTED ME.... I was a subscriber since Fotor came into existence on both my desktop and iPad. It was always one of my favorites. Now, at the present moment in time, it is failing me. I presently have a yearly subscription that is good until September 20, 2020. Trouble of some kind since start of Subscription. The thing is I have not been able to use it. It does not even open now. I’ve written their Support but have not received a response. This was sent several weeks ago. I had thought that with the Pandemic that has crippled the entire World, they would likely have very few people working. Couldn’t they, at least, write us on their App if they are experiencing difficulties? It would make for good customer relations. I hope I get to use Fotor. It is very good (when working). I also hope I get a response from their Support Team. Sincerely, M. A. B. UPDATE: Still no response. I deleted and then downloaded and installed Fotor again moments ago. A Trial Offer was suggested. Ai takes over; doesn’t allow you to bring up a photo to. Cannot edit but ONE photo thy at I wanted it editor. After I edited only one, it slapped their logo across the photo in the way of tying to edit them when I went to choose a subsequent photo to edit all it did was Ai enhance! No other options would allow me to edit it manually or use any of the other tools whatsoever! Not without upgrading! I JUST downloaded it & didn’t even get a chance to explore or edit pics before deciding whether or not I wanted to purchase premium feature but since it’s so glitchy in the free version & Ai just showed up in my photos & took over I don’t want this app whatsoever ! NOT cool...

Scam company. Give me my money back. I see I’m not the only one. I decided to subscribe on desktop, and Fotor decided to charge me for a years worth of service when I only signed up for a month. They immediately took out $40 instead of $9. E-mail is the only way to contact them, which already shows red flags. This is a horrid company and they are refusing to correct the issue, saying it’s my problem and essentially gaslighting me. This company is a scam. I’ll review the features as well, which I would also rate 1/5 stars. For the amount of money you pay, the features are elementary and hardly work at all. Please, save your time and bank account and don’t get this product.

Racial bias per avatar type !. The AI avatar generator made me white in the professional headshots but had no problem reflecting my true African features as action heroes, water colors etc. Went into this knowing that these AI models are often not trained well on African and east-Asian faces but I am still very disappointed that you would push out a new headshot capability that is miles behind your other features. Seems like a lot of people enjoy this app so I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for its editing capabilities. Next time, allow users to see a preview or something before paying because now this leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Won’t be using again.

Poor Support Communication. I went to cancel my trial but there was no obvious way to do it on the app. So I contacted support and they told me I can only cancel on a desktop - and then said that I’d be charged for ending the trial. First off there was no payment, they do nothing to prompt you of this “payment” for a FREE TRIAL, and every time I messaged support, the person I talked to wouldn’t help me cancel my account, and kept making excuses. They freaked me out about having to pay something, and then when I told them I didn’t sign up to pay and didn’t receive any notifications, they avoided answering my direct question. They then contradicted themselves and all of a sudden didn’t know what I was talking about. Extremely wishy-washy and all I can say is, at least the support, that this app is poorly managed, regardless of if it has good features. I just never had such an annoying support person who obviously didn’t know what they were taking about and then confused me, claimed I owed money, then when I lashed back acted like they didn’t know what I was talking about. They couldn’t even tell me how to cancel it.

Find another app, not worth it. Fotor directs customers to pay with auto subscription. I thought I had cancelled the recurring charge when I completed my photo project. I was charged for another annual fee and immediately contacted Fotor customer service. I explained I had not used the service in over a calendar year and would not be using it this year and to please cancel and issue a refund. They refused. Technically my mistake but ethically this is wrong. There are plenty of other apps out there that operate in an ethical, customer-friendly manner. I’m going out of my way to tell everybody about my experience.

Just starting out.. I’m am 72 and am definitely technically challenged. I just played with the functions on my first picture. I added text and removed and replaced background with plain white. Soooo…simple i am truly impressed. This program is going to be fun and useful for my art pictures. So far no advertisements. If that changes I am not going to like it. BUT, so far so good.

Still unable to use content I have paid for.. After following all suggestions to restore the content I have already paid for in Fotor, nothing has worked. I also have not received any reply to the ticket I sent a week ago regarding this ongoing issue. If this problem will not be properly resolved by the developer I would like to be refunded for all in-app purchases I have made.

Newby to iPhone & Fotor. I'm new to digital photos everything & arriving at fotor to improve my 'on the move happy snapping' is mind blowing. Being able to superimpose the where & how into meaningful collages is a great memory of experience jog. Gradually I'm finding my round the app; it's not complicated, it's just me. Every day with something new discovered in the app even my 13 years old grandson believes I'm a genius. Great App - great outcomes. Better photography. Can't do without fotor - converts the ordinary into the extraordinary with the swipe of a fingertip

Good app but I need a refund. I had recently started using it for a couple of collages, although had no intention of buying any subscription of any sort, was really just trying it out. I found many pros and really like using it. Although got very annoyed when I had seen a $58 fee from the app come out of my account, I am unable to refund it for some reason and did not physically buy anything myself. Very annoyed, and I don’t even know what I had even bought as I don’t even have access to the pro features of the app, what exactly had I payed for. Can I please get a refund, thanks

Bad editing and racist. All I wanted was to make a photo of me and my husband less blurry and it made us look like white cartoon characters with blue eyes. We are not white and have brown eyes.

Network error. Continuously getting network error. The program features are good, although it's missing a few things that photoshop does better at. But this continued network error, is frustrating, hours or days at a time I cannot use the program, despite having pro. I may not renew after this. Update*** it is working again, although I lost several days from the subscription month, I've updated from 1 star to 3 star.

Really good.. Really good for photo editing and collages. Liked it better without the ads of course.

Free editing. This is now my favourite app. It allows me to do simple little edits to my photos WITHOUT having to pay! Most other editing softwares need a payment just to use a small feature but this app is now helping me kickstart my editing career.

Good but could be better. Don’t get me wrong, its a good app, but the fact that you need to get the pro version to save 99% of the pictures is really annoying, so if you could please fix that that would be amazing.

Pretty disappointing. The examples looks great and wanted to have a professional looking AI generated photo for business purposes. However, after following all steps (and paying money), I ended up with a photo of me in a suit, in some seductive pose, with 3 arms and looking like I have down syndrome… tried this a few times and gave up. Don’t get your hopes up on this one.

Was fine until a Chinese page came up.. Had just started using this app which was fine then a Chinese page came up which I couldn’t delete so I deleted the app.

I’ve been using this app for years and years... but now. I have been using this app for years! I’d say since it began! And seen heaps of changes. But now the subscription service has been added and all the filters I’ve been using are now for PRO subscription only. I think I may have even paid for some of these extra filters over the years but can’t remember. Sad to see greedy app developers killing a good app.

Amazing AI. Fotor Ai has so many cool effects/corrective imaging/original AI output etc that I originally hadn’t discovered butnow use almost every day. The great thing about Fotor is that keep coming up with brilliant ideas that soon become essentials of my creative process. Whether it’s restoring and colorising old images or great AI output it’s made life easier, more creative and exciting for me. Thanks Fotor!

Takes 7 days to cancel your account. Great app but be aware of the free trial as it is for a few days but takes 7 days to cancel your subscription so they will deduct money from you no matter what!!!! But of a scam I believe.

Solid Software, Subscriptions Confusing. So here’s the thing we know: companies love to sell subscriptions with two tiers of Premium. Lower tier: “Premium” or “Pro” Higher Tier: “Premium+” or “Pro+” Please just say “PLUS” don’t use the tiny “+” sign because it’s really confusing when you’re comparing the app on your phone to the company website online to see if there’s different tiers, or if the pricing is discounted online (as some vendors do, Foror DOES NOT do this, but Apple takes 30% here so while it’s convenient, if you know you need it on an ongoing basis for work or your influencer career blowing up, then buy online. But thankfully Apple makes subscription management so easy, if you’re scared of forgetting or not being able to cancel in time cuz of too many hoops, then Apple will save you with the sub and you can go there and cancel it whenever you need to tighten up.

Terrible AI headshots. I had this installed literally for 15 mins before I dumped it. The headshots were such poor quality and completely unusable. The seller refused to refund or communicate. Avoid.

Scammer. Scam! Very hard to cancel the subscription.

Destroys Image Quality. Every time you apply an edit to a photo, it nerfs the photo quality. The more edits you do, the worse it gets. Because of this, the app is completely useless.

I wanted to purchase a subscription to try it, most apps offer a trial, this one just jumped to a annual plan at first I paid without noticing that they don’t have a return policy (since it wasn’t mentioned anywhere at the time of purchase) The quality was so poor It crushed alot and I needed to start over and over couple of times Poor reshape function. Totally dissatisfied. I still request for a refund, I don’t know if I can get it or not they just had an email to contact.

The app does not work. In order to put in text that is not all jumbled up I need to open this up on my computer and go to the website. The app works like crap. Very unhappy. I had a look at this App for a project I was working on and it seemed to be what I was going to need. I bought the app subscription with the knowledge I would be able to cancel it within a short period of time if it wasn’t what I needed. I tried the app for about 15-20 min and realized it wasn’t what I needed. At this point I pressed the button to cancel my subscription, however, the button did not actually activate. I tried several times to cancel with the same result, the cancel button did not activate. A couple days later I received an email notification that I had been charged for the subscription. I am very upset about this. If anyone in this company reads this review please refund my money. For everyone else, please be aware of this “glitch” on being able to cancel the subscription to get the refund. Highly unethical if this was designed this way!

Not very good. Doesn’t work well, doesn’t do the things it’s advertised. Much better applications and platforms out there. Outdated and useless.

Headshots. Absolute garbage for headshots. They just do a face swap with all the demos. They keep the head shape and hair of all the models regardless of your submitted photos. Not a single photo is usable. They should offer a demo before taking your money to see the result. Worst $15 CAD I've ever spent.

Pricey photo editor!. EDIT: You now have to subscribe to save an edited photo! How dumb is that! Will delete right away. Very easy to use with lots of features! I use it all the time to polish my photos before publishing them. The only thing missing is a way to edit photos in landscape mode. Please add this feature!

Requires you to sign up for a free trial. I wanted something to remove backgrounds. This had a function that did so very well, but it would not allow me to save the image without signing up for a trial - which would of course lead to ongoing payments if it was not cancelled in a timely fashion. It briefly popped up once that I could watch ads to save things, but I was not able to access this option again. Also would not let you pull images from Files, only from the Photos app.

Free app very limited. You used to be able to use the basic collage features in the free app, that’s gone now. You can’t even edit the size of a margin, which used to be free.

Fotor AI charged me for yearly subscription without my permission!. Updated after developer’s response: Unfortunately what you said is completely untrue. The charged amount didn’t go through Apple and this id what Apple themselves confirmed to me. The charge wasn’t done early before the trial since as like I said I cancelled after one day while the trial ends in 3 days. Lastly. 8?3 emailed your support on August 31st and they were not gracious enough to respond to my email or at least process my refund! I installed the Fotor AI app for a 3-day trial using iTunes as usual. I uninstalled it after a day. I was shocked to find that they deducted C$58 from me for a yearly subscription which I didn't request and I don't even have the app installed on my iPhone. It's been 6 days since I contacted them and I got no response. I've been trying to convince Apple to help me get refunded but they don't want to help claiming that the payment didn't go through iTunes and that I must have given them my payment information which never happened. I’ve trying to get a hold of anyone at Fotor since then but in vain and of course that tells how unfprofessionsl their customer service is. Accordingly, I DON’T recommend anyone to install their trial version or even or purchase this application.

Falls Short of Expectations. The concept of using generative AI to upgrade selfies into professional portraits was initially exciting, especially as a paid service. However, the reality didn’t meet expectations. As a bald individual who embraces this look, I was consistently presented with images where the AI added an unrealistic and frankly ridiculous head of hair, rendering the photos unusable. This not only felt like a waste of money but also raised concerns about a possible bias in the AI against the aesthetic of baldness.

Terrible. I am a balding man and they gave me hair that I never had.

Great DIY photo app!. Took me a bit to figure out some of the changes on this version but I love Fotor! It is a quick and user-friendly way to adjust and sharpen exposure or crop photos.

If I have to pay subscription fees for a free trial, whats the point of having a trial? Modern day scam. App may be good, I have no idea but if you want a free trial don’t waste your time here.

Best. I love this app. I’m an Xbox player so I make me and my buddies custom pictures about anything they want. I want to start a small business soon just selling pictures to some people for 2 bucks a piece so this app helps me a lot! Apriciate all the work that is put into the app.

Computer vs Phone- same features. Does the phone has the same features as on my computer? Also, do need to pay a separate fee to use both. Last thing. When using my computer I’m not able to save any pictures, upgrade anything.. I get loading failed message

Fotor Editing App. This is my go to always for adding a cool frame to my pics. This has many options for changing up pics and the collage classic section is awesome as well... if only the fence about finding a good editing app just try it, I guarantee you will like it a lot!

Colossal waste of time that needs THIS caveat. Some of the functions CANNOT be used with the app and can ONLY be accessed via desktop. I spent almost two hours looking for features that I later discovered cannot be used on the app. Don’t waste your money on a company that doesnt tell you this up-front. UPDATE: I got an email from developer a MONTH later apologizing but the App Store description doesnt reflect this misleading representation. Conclusion: Try a different app.

All I wanted was to invert colors. Got this after searching for an invert color to make a picture negative. Had to download an app when it advertised online. Instructions to do so were useless. Couldn’t figure it out after spending 30 minutes going through every feature. Seems to have everything you could think of except the one feature I needed. Useless. Don’t forget to cancel that free trial.

Used To Be Better. Making the Pro version of Fotor a one time app purchase would be fine and I wouldn’t mind paying for that. But a monthly paid subscription, especially at that price is a deal killer. No way I’m doing that. Immediately taking the “Enhance” feature off free and making it Pro only was another bad move. Fotor used to be 5 stars but no longer.

Poor support and false advertising of a free trial. When I downloaded the app I was charged immediately even though it advertised a 3 day free trial. When contacting support, they were rude and claimed they knew of no such thing. Be careful downloading this app because you will have to pay. This app also doesn’t even have half of the tools that the online website has. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone especially after the way their support team treated me.

So far it’s fun and easy. I’m just an hour into playing with this and it’s proving to be versatile and easy to use. I downloaded it to do a collage image for my business. That was done in about 20 minutes and now I’m enjoying retouching portraits. I was only planning to use it for the free trial but I may be hooked

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. This app will make it nearly impossible to unsubscribe. Tried emailing customer service. Discontinued my subscription on Apple. They continued to withdrawal. $80 later I finally had to get a new card just so they couldn’t withdrawal anymore. Don’t be scammed and deal with the nightmare I did. There is plenty of photo editing apps that are easy to use and won’t make it nearly impossible to cancel a $40 a month subscription.

Extremely Satisfied. I am a photographer by trade and I have been using Fotor lately to edit photos I take on the go and my clients can’t tell whether I’m using my software or this app! THIS APP IS THE BEST! You guys did an amazing job on this one. I tell everyone I know who may be interested about Fotor. Again, GREAT JOB! Regards!

In app purchases… OhMy. I paid $39 thinking I could go in there and play but I used up all my “credits” in the first hour. What credits? It wasn’t real clear upfront. Without buying credits what you generate takes a day instead of five minutes. Oh yeah, I got access to everything for my $ but I couldn’t wait hours/days for each AI generated image. As for the photo editor, it’s ok. If falls somewhere between your iPhone built in editor and Photoshop. Lots a bells that don’t ring or will never us.

get ready to be charged FOREVER. I cannot express enough how frustrating this company and website are. Instead of a monthly subscription they charge you YEARLY instead of monthly then make cancellation difficult and claim reimbursements are not possible. The editing capabilities are nearly as frustrating as the company. Use ANY OTHER APP/site/piece of paper & scissors to edit pictures and you will have more success and less frustration.

Pay To Use. It feels as if you can barely do anything unless you pay for credits. I’ll admit the bots are good but it’s ridiculous not having any credits all the time, and the only way to get credits is to spend money. It’s true there are maybe 1 or 2 ways shown that you can get maybe 1 or 2 credits from, but you can only do it every few days. It’s hard for me to like this app when I have to pay to use it.

Definitely 5 out of 5!!. I haven't seen such incredible effects on Fotor in a long time and I found it here. I even recovered bad photos and made them fantastic images. I am happy and recommend it! And amazingly, I edited some arts and they were amazing!

Awesome photo editor!. I love this app! It has so many options and makes my photos almost look professional! The only thing I’d change is to have the option to replace the old unedited photo with the edited version so I don’t have to go back and delete the duplicates.

Constant issues w/ it freezing. I would give it five stars if I didn’t have to erase it and re-download it twice already because it constantly freezes or glitches out. Seems to be a lot of issues with this app a lot unfortunately

Pro subscription. As much as I love using Fotor I hate that it keeps asking me to subscribe for Pro with every update. I’ve already subscribed! However I cannot use any pro features unless I subscribe again and pay. How many times I am supposed to do that? What a nuisance

Great filters but don't like the Update. I've been using this app off and on and it's straight forward. A lot of options for the filters, cropping etc but this new update with its display got rid of all the categories (cinema , favorites, b&w). Not a fan. Now it's endless scrolling to find them. Other than , it's okay for me.

Solid - It’s $ Well Spent but.... ...they neglected to come up something that can sample a color to cover up something more discretely than using all the mosaic patterns they’ve budgets hours towards. I could do that in some trashy Microsoft program they jammed on ever PC big in their glory days of rigging the market. Apple has their “Markup” which is pretty “meh” inspiring as well. But hey, they saw what seems like an obvious need. Hey, got it for $20! It’s solid enough I’ll likely renew it.

Crashes CONSTANTLY!. Great features, superb options and applies changes well…. WHEN stable, which is RARE! Currently using on iPhone 14 Pro. All system updated. VERY bummed since I paid for annual subscription. Sure hope stability updates are coming soon.

Horrible. I wanted to use this to fix red eyes in a photo of a group. The red eye remover did not work it just made blue circles around the eyes. Then, I tried to use the AI retouch feature in hopes that it would fix the red eyes. Instead, it gave all of the people in the photo lighter skin, even the already white people. This AI has a long way to go and I would especially not recommend unless you are already as white as you can get.

Easy to install and use. Excellent tool that allows us to make a large number of edits and modifications on our photos in order to make them more beautiful and even eliminate errors. We can use it without installing some kind of program and it is very easy to use and understand how to use it.

Everything you Need. This app has all the tools I could possibly need for editing, enhancing and is very easy to use! I’m by no means a pro. But my pictures come out very professional looking. I’m writing a book and I am using my pictures from this app. I highly recommend.

I’m an author in Wattpad and I have to add banners and stuff to make it more neat, but I couldn’t find something to make them until I ran across this app. Everything is free of charge while others charge you for a type of lighting on your photo but it’s so far cool and I love love love it.

Must have photo app. One of the best photo apps that still doesn’t charge for most features. It has everything for editing and cleaning up photos!

Focus tool. I’m not a fan of their focus tool. I’ve been looking for a good app to blur photo backgrounds (beside Photoshop), so I tried Fotor. They only give you three options to choose from and none of them looked right or worked well with my photos. The blur effect would have been better if it had a brush option to freehand which parts you want to take out of focus. That’s my suggestion.

False Advertisement. I was locked out of my account today and I just purchased the premium for $6.99. I check my online banking and the Fotor App stole $40 out of my bank account. I tried looking for the customer service on the app but i don’t see any customer support available. This app is a SCAM! I don’t recommend this app to anyone. False advertising and no customer service when things go wrong! I want my money back and I want to know how to unlock my account because I already subscribed to this app!

Charged My Account for a Full Year Subscription. I was looking for an app to whiten teeth and thought I would try this one. It offered me a 3-day free trial with a charge of like 3.99 or something a month after the trial ended. I selected that option and then 3 days later I get a charge of almost $40 on my account. I feel that the terms of this trial and subscription were not properly advertised and I have no use for a photo editing app.

Excellent App. I have been using this app for around a year now. I have had no problems with it. I enjoy the polish this app applies to my photos. I feel like it adds a little ‘oomph’ to make them stand out and look more professional.

scam/ false advertising. Used this app to use their “ai image extend/enlarge” feature, their website even shows how it will generate the image outside of the original. When I downloaded the app and bought premium like the idiot i am, I used the image enlarger only to see that it does nothing but “makes the image clearer”, literally nothing says anything about enlarging the image, i looked everywhere. Why? Why the false advertising??

Ignoring cancellations and charging.. Hey, so I used the free trial, didn’t want to continue with the product and canceled a day later. Just got a notification that I got charged $40 at 2am when I wasn’t able to dispute the pending charge. I would like a refund. It would also be good to fix that particular quirk. And, you don’t have an excuse of saying, “maybe you just forgot.” iPhones give you a pop up reminder when you delete an app with an active subscription. I cancelled. I want my money back.

Easy to use but still full features. This is great for when you don’t want to use photoshop but you need more features than simple editing software that comes with your phone. I love being able to add and format text, borders, and alter focus after the fact.

The best.. I’ve had this for years and it’s always my go-to. I’ve downloaded several throughout the years and nothing compares to the simplicity and versatility of this app. If I could give it more stars I would. Forever fan.

Product is exactly beyond your expected. Fotor-just a great full-featured image editor with various tools for processing images. The editor has everything you need to work with images, making it on the principle of "All-in-one".

Perfect, except. Mostly everything about this app is perfect, but the way that you get credits is extremely tedious as free players can only make around 2 images per week… I would continue using it if it was at least 5 images per day, but since it’s not, I’ll just find an alternative solution/app

Colorize. My cousin passed away recently (Nov 2022 )and the only picture I had with him was in black and white. This app got the phone down to the color of my shirt. It is exactly how it was back then. I definitely recommend this app.

This is now my first choice go-to app for my photo and art work. It's intuitive and easy. I love the results.

Fun app. I have been using this free version on and off for years. It’s a fun app that is easy to use. I get a lot out of it without the pro purchase, but there are a lot of cool things you can do with the pro version too.

Love the actual app. The app itself is pretty great! HOWEVER, twice today a WISH app appeared featuring a penis weight, complete with cartoon twig and berries. This is not an adults only app so beware of bad ads if you’re near kids or at work. I wouldn’t take away 2 stars just for that, but it’s impossible to get a hold of customer service from my iPhone to report the ad.
