IScape: Landscape Design Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Not for the casual user. Freaking too expensive for a casual user/avg homeowner. It’s a bit hokey with results like being a first time photoshop user. The premise is great. The execution is mostly good. You will not be able to make everything look realistic in the current iteration and object catalog. Soooo many variables with light, texture, distance, etc. Because it’s $20 a month, it’s not worth a homeowner unless you are willing to pay the price and/or doing multiple projects within a time frame where $20 a month is saving you money. For a pro, this is a no brainer. Perfect because you can roll the expense into your overhead. If I were a pro this app wouldn’t even be questioned. Of they have a single price or take out the AR, I’ll be back. But for now, the cost can not justify the time used.

Not For Beginning Entrepreneurs. I do landscaping on the side and wanted an option to do my designs so I can give the clients a nice mock up to help them visualize the end goal. However, I didn’t realize that the free option was as limited as it is. I don’t do enough large scale projects to make it worth the $30 a month. I predominantly do small installs, trimming/clean ups, replacement and treatments. The app also regularly crashes, freezes and becomes unresponsive on my iPhone 8. It may work a little more seamlessly on a newer iPhone or iPad. This would be worth it for someone actively doing larger installs, but not someone like me who only does 2-3 large projects a year. Kind of a bummer because it could really be useful to help me get more work. But until then, I’m going to have to pass.

Customer service is the best. The app is simply a tool. It could use some improvements however if you” the designer” are good at what you do then it will help you get the job! Your vision is only possible if you see it through. There is no app that can accomplish this for you. Use the app to get the job. Then use the job to build your name! The app was enough to land the job. So in all I couldn’t have done it without the help from the app. Like I said it needs improvement but it’s on its way. Thank you I scape I’ll refer you always .

Would like zone package options. I have the earlier version and like many others on here, was upset to learn that I will have to pay more to update. I might find it worthwhile if I knew up front what I would get for my money. The previous version gave a limited supply of plants, MANY of which cannot grow in my cold Wisconsin climate (Zone 4). You may now have that option but I don’t want to pay a base price to find out. I can say the program is slick, easy to use, and I am willing to pay for if I didn’t feel tricked into being nickeled and dimed.

Freezes up too much. I don’t know if it’s the new updates it won’t keep up with or not, but I loved this app, then all of a sudden, it would freeze up and not load the flower or trees or any items to decorate with. I would restart the app, restart my phone, but the same thing over and over again. I even tried removing the app and adding it again. Cancelled the subscription because of this, so they lost a customer. Darn, because it really is a cool app when it worked. If they fix this part, you’ll really like it in my opinion.

$20/month or $200/year!. I’m so disappointed, I had high hopes for this but as usual I watched the video & got sucked in. After going through the login process & giving my email, taking a few pictures of my backyard, I searched the free area to add (of course) the beautiful pictures I saw in the video. There is minimal “free” to choose from amongst 3 categories of trees, flowers, & furniture/arbors with about 6-10 pictures in each. If you want different flowers, more trees, different furniture, waterfalls, pools, edging, grass, stone etc... you’ll have to hand over $20 a month ($10 the first month) or ready for it.... $200 a year (or $100 the first year & $200 after that). For a furloughed pilot during COVID, we’d love to be able to design & buy a few plants here & there when money allows but for $100+ a year we could buy a lot of plants with that instead =(

Was so excited for this. I'm new to DIY landscaping, and was so excited to get my project started with this app. First trying to purchase pro was nearly impossible and took me about an hour to figure out a bug and a way around it. Then I soon realized that the app crashes. Often. Like every 5 minutes or less. Worse, it didn't recognize my email as having an account, so I kept losing project work because I wasn't signed in. Finally, while an amazing concept, it is frustrating to use. Glitchy, freeze prone, hard to even 'grab' objects.' Feels very 'beta' to me.

A marginal improvement from MS Paint. Software is pretty poor. The interface is unwieldy. Add more than a few items and selection and moving them around doesn’t work well. Want to place a design element? Say for example you want to put a small boulder field in as a landscaping element. You. Have. To. Do. It. One. Boulder. At. A. Time. Not only is that inefficient, but the imagery is ugly and uniform. The only thing that is easy to do quickly is to draw a boundary and fill it with a texture. Unfortunately the textures don’t scale worth a darn and you can’t really get them to be scaled to match your background. It might be worth a few dollars in a year, but absolutely not worth the amount they are asking.

Three major issues. I love design and have used several architectural apps for building houses, so when it came time to design my garden I tried iScape. The functionality took a bit to get used to, but was fairly user friendly for beginners. I noticed three major issues. One, no auto save. I found this out the hard way after spending about an hour totally rebuilding my garden and coming back after dinner to the last manually saved point. The other was plant sizes. There is no ruler or grid. You can make a plant appear to be a few inches tall or bigger than your house, even if the largest size that particular plant can ever grow is 24”. So I found myself going back and forth to Google checking all of the plant mature sizes over and over to make sure I was making them visually true to size. I also had some issues with the plant colors. If you want a red yarrow, but the database has yellow, you can try to manipulate the color, but it changes the entire plant color so you can end up with an alien looking plant. So this is fun for entertainment, but I’m canceling before the trial is up.

Good enough for trial only. Neat concept but fell way short. I bought the three month subscription after doing the trial and it’s not much better. It actually got worse and glitchy. After saving a design, had to close app and reopen it to start a new design(bug does not see photos on iPad Pro photo folder either). A big pet peeve, is not being able to change the angle of view of any given asset. The only way to design from photos is to design from a straight ahead view and perspective not angled as the assets can’t be angled to adjust for the perspective. I have not tried the AR portion as it might be better but remains to be seen. If you buy, don’t buy any more than a month at a time.

IT IS SO COOL!. Just started using the free trial feature of this app to see how it works. I’m no professional landscaper just a bored housewife looking for things to do and after using this landscaping app I felt like I can be a professional landscaper and start making money out of designing other people’s lawn! it is so easy to use the plants and trees and grass looks so real! I was even able to put water on our empty pool to complete the look of our backyard landscape design! to all the developer of this app! You are God sent! this is so cool and genius and EASY! 🥳🥰♥️🙏🏽

Money Down the Drain. With your decision to switch to a subscription model, I can no longer access the image packages I purchased in the earlier version of iScape. I opened up my iPad app last week, and found out the hard way (after my design crashed when I tried to save it) that you had abandoned the earlier version I had invested in. It appears you aren’t giving any credit for those earlier investments your customers made. Not only is that a terrible marketing decision, but it shows a lack of integrity and customer loyalty that I think should be pointed out. To add insult to injury you also sent an invalid link asking me to use it to confirm my email. Neither Safari nor Google can open it. You have a good product that deserves at least 4 stars for product development, but companies are judged on so much more than product.

The “Umf” your homeowner imagination needs. For a year now we’ve been living in a peculiar looking home. I often think what enhanced curb appeal would do the job. What if we did this, or did that? Without an app like this one, it’s hard to imagine what all your ideas would actually look like. Thus endless landscaping pillow talk with your partner. Even if you just get the month subscription like I did, it’s worth it. Show your exact ideas to your partner and/or landscaper and complete that project!

Heck No. The app itself seems pretty good but the price is atrocious. The paid version cost $30 wait, I’m not done, $30 PER MONTH! And without that, you get just a few samples to play with and that’s it. So I paid $5 one time for DreamzAR which is easier to use IMO but unfortunately doesn’t have any big trees. But it does have fences, benches and other things that iScape doesn’t have, so why would I shell out that much for an app when I can literally just look at a landscape and figure out what would look good? Maybe pro’s can use the app to sell their plan to homeowners but for the DIY landscaper, this app is not even worth the time it takes to download.

Would be great if it wasn’t unbelievably bad. Wow! So this would be a great application if it wasn’t such a complete failure on functionality. Im sure I cannot possibly be the only one that has tremendously slow operating speeds in app on all 3 of my apple devices. So slow that it constantly crashes wether I have full signal or perfect WiFi, it does not seem to matter. I cannot begin to describe how embarrassing it is that I trust this app so much to work properly as I give a presentation to a client. Lo and behold without fail each time it either runs so slow I need to apologize too many times or it’s just crashes all together for an hour or until it decides to work correctly. Honestly I hope im the only one with these operation struggles, but if im not alone on this then we his application for landscape design is a complete failure 😁👍🏼

Four stars for the pro version 0 for the free one. It is hard to find professionals when you live in a rural area sometimes, so for the first time I am having to try my hand at landscaping the front of my house. There is a free version but the limitations are so many that it is essentially useless. However there is a 7 day free trial. If you have a lot of ground to cover or several areas, it is worth it to just pay for a month. It will save you time and money especially if, like me, you tend to over purchase plants. The only feature that I wish it had or maybe it does and I haven’t figured out how best to use it, is that I wish you could put in the zone and have it just pull up plants that do well in that zone. I have no use for palm trees in Missouri. Other than that, i am perfectly happy to pay by the month to save money on the project overall. If you’re a pro, the software would be a great tool to show your customers.

Not homeowner friendly. This app was not created with the homeowner in mind. Started out great - took a nice photo of the area, plant options pop up but that’s where it ends. Have to pay for everything and was NOT offered a 1 week subscription to access all the plants. I only saw that after canceling my subscription, made less than an hour ago BTW. Worst $10 I ever spent. There are no filters or ways to easily search plants. For ex, go to any women’s clothing app/website and see the customer experience there and apply that here. Why can’t we filter by zone so only plants in my area show up? Or filter by width or height? Why not offer age progression - here’s what it will look like when they’re young, here’s 1 yr, here’s 2-3 yrs, here’s 5 yrs? Very basic app in my opinion with little functionality for the price.

Potential is there but very buggy!. I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 256GB memory, latest iOS version and I haven’t been able to use this App. The app offers two ways to work: AR and 2D image. 2D image is harder to use because you must create your own perspective and size everything accordingly. AR should be the way to go. But the AR super slow to start up and get a bearing on the topography. Then it’s slow to add items, and crashes constantly. Recovering from a crash is slow and rarely works for me. I’m very disappointed as I was planning on using this to work out some improvements to our home. Fix this!

App No Longer Opens. I’ve only had this app for a little over a week and when I first bought it I loved it however for a few days now (I’m guessing since the update 6 days ago) it will open and stay on the loading screen indefinitely. I want to say that one time it did finally open but was still essentially unusable because the loading times in the app were just as bad. I bought this to work on proposals for work and with deadlines looming I’m starting to regret buying this because I can’t open it to work on my projects.

Fun way to drafts ideas instead of drawing.. I got the app to help family members draft ideas when redesigning their yards. It is a nice alternative to drawing by hand and I can edit, save, and send photo-drafts quickly. Great baseline to share/communicate ideas during brainstorming and design process but it will require artistic practice and uploading your own photos if you want it to look extra pulled together for a business presentation. Help/Support responded go me within 24hrs when I had questions.

Simply doesn’t work. Downloaded the app on my M1 iPad. Subscribed to the highest level of subscription (Trial for 1 week, renewal per month) and went outside. The app immediately started showing bugs. Lines in AR randomly appeared, moved randomly, added ‘points’ I didn’t add myself or the function of drawing lines simply got stuck. Tried it for about 30 min, walking around, redrawing lines for pavers over and over again but never got it to work. This app needs a lot of work before it is bug free and user friendly. Unsubscribed from the renewal and will try another app. If basic functions won’t work I’m in no mood to speak with the developer about how to improve matters. My business time is too expensive.

Bought on phone won’t work on iPad. I purchased the subscription on my phone. I tried using it on my iPad for easier use. It showed the plants were locked and when I clicked it says to upgrade to pro (which I’ve already done- same iCloud, different device). When I try to purchase subscription on my iPad it says I’ve already purchased then a menu comes up to manage subscription or continue. When I click continue it just freezes loading every time. I’ve tried everything from closing and opening, logging out of phone, deleting and redownloading app. Seems like it won’t work at all unless I use a completely different account. I guess I’ll have to cancel and retry after the month to re purchase on just my iPad.

I use it every day. This app is so well done. I use it everyday and my clients love it. It really helps my clients visualize my plans within their own space which is invaluable. By adding more items to a design I’ve been able to land more than just the initial quoted service—all because they could see it in their space and liked it. New content is added all the time and their support staff is extremely helpful. Aside from being fun to play around with, the app has a very user friendly interface that makes it easy to learn how to make use of all the features. It saves me time, which saves me money. 5/5 stars

I really want it to work. This app is such a useful concept for those of us who want to design our own landscape, but it's 100% unusable. Even the sign up flow is largely broken. Once I was able to create an account, I went into the AR screen and sometimes the tracking simply fails to initialize, when it doesn't fail, the 3d models never load, it just freezes in the loading state. And it doesn't ever cache the objects, like ever. So if your switch away from the app and come back to it, it attempts to reload this 3d models all over again even if you did manage to load them. But boy, for that .1% of the time when you get the app to fully function, it sure is cool

Not for Pros as Described. I think this could be a fun app if you own an iPad and want to play around with a project for your home, but it’s a waste of time if you’re a pro. I can’t believe no developer has seized the market for pros looking to do some light duty design on the iPad. If pro use wasn’t mentioned in the description (or it were free) I wouldn’t have given it a two star rating so if you’re a DIYer it may be a better experience for you then it was for me. Suggestions that would make this a much better experience drafting something up on the fly in front of a client in the field: allow markup within the app and the use of a finger or, even better, Apple Pencil. I would imagine that would be really easy to integrate into the app (but I’m not a developer). Secondly, give your paying clients an adequate plant database (without having to upload a bunch of photos, for approval, by myself) labeled by a common name and the botanical name with the search feature. The names are a mess. I searched for a Pieris japonica / andromeda as the first plant for my first ‘design’ with this app, and it wasn’t there. I think that’s a pretty darn common plant in high production in the majority of the US. If those changes are made I’d be happy to try a subscription again (I used the trial for a few days) and give an updated rating.

Update is crap. This app has been awesome..until today when I did the most recent update to “address some of the bugs”. Now I can’t stay in the app longer than a few minutes before it kicks me completely out of the app. Did I mention those few min I am in its taking forever trying to load anything. This is why I’m always hesitant on updates when I’m not having any issues smh. Fix the bugs and I’ll give this the review it was earning before the update!

Used to be great. I work at a large landscape company and was sold in iScape for the past 3 years. It was awesome. They’ve made many updates and now it’s not good. In fact, I can’t even open it anymore. It opens, shows their logo, and goes back to iPad home screen. Since they’ve added this AR feature (not sure what it does since it’s not able to run on iPad) it’s been unusable. Freezes, loses designs, doesn’t save. I have hundreds of designs I can’t access now. Not worth a single penny at this point and I have spent hundreds of dollars on the app over the years. Please fix it, and take this garbage and restore it to the amazingly useful app it was. Do not buy until fixed.

Poor business. I bought the original version in Feb of 2017. The past few months it would not update. This morning I decided to look into it and figured out that I was screwed. I already felt ripped off when I bought the full version only to find that there was more to buy if you wanted everything. Now, I have nothing. One response to another review was that they offered a discount on the new app to previous owners (apparently we didn’t own anything). I could not find where I was ever given an offer for a discount. The proper thing would have been to grandfather in owners of the original app because they purchased the app before it was a subscription model. Very bad business in my opinion! Since my review the original app has been restored. I’m glad the developers made the decision to do the right thing.

I'm no Annie Leibovitz, but that doesn't mean you can have my photos for free!. I just completed a stone retaining wall around a new flower bed and decided I would try out the full version of the app (I had tried the demo before - original review is below) - I was enjoying myself as well. I had known the app's plant image library was limited but the user is able to insert their own photos in the upgraded version of the app, which was acceptable. The app does not allow you to insert your own photo directly into your project, it must be uploaded to iScape's server first - and to do that you must first agree to give up all rights to your photos to the vendor, to use, sell, distribute, or just plaster all over their office as some corporate stalkeresque wallpaper. This is insane. I know my pictures aren't going to be hanging in any gallery, but they are *mine* and i'm not going to give them away to a peddler of overpriced software. What it actually is is a demo for yet another app that wants a monthly subscription to access any meaningful features. The 'free' (demo) version gives you access to 16 trees, 7 shrubs, and no constructed elements (paths, gazebos, boarders, etc.) Which makes is almost completely unusable. The app itself seems perfectly fine, just unusable without a subscription.

Why I give it 2 stars. For one there is no free version besides the trial where you can use products you have to subscribe, which is horrible. Besides that the app is on the right track except it’s extremely expensive for what it is. Essentially, you could just download any vector app and import your own images and do the same thing that this app does for fraction of the cost. The editing in this app isn’t advanced at all, It’s very simple. The only benefit this has is there’s a lot of products you could add besides that the app is nowhere worth the cost as you could simply do the work on many other free apps, there is no AI features that detect, move or delete backgrounds or corners or objects that other apps have. You can’t even tilt the the products you’d like to put in the project, it’s essentially a super basic resize crop function. If you have just a few items placed down, it’s very hard to select through them. There’s a long list of improvements and feature is needed before I would even consider paying $30 a year for this. If this app costed $10 a year I might buy it definitely not worth the cost currently. It’s way to basic for a professional or even an amateur looking to do any sort of real design.

Great app. I love the app as I’m a landscape designer and it’s always a struggle to explain your vision to clients without showing them pictures. When I show them the iScape renders, they love it. And I love that you can add your own image to the database like a clients playground set they’re looking to buy but want to see how it looks placed in the landscape. Editing your own image is tricky but it’s a great feature when it works. And my app always crashes when I try to upload my own images which is frustrating so I reach out to customer service for help. And Diana has been awesome with responding back to messages within 24 hours or sooner, much appreciated when you’re trying to meet a deadline. I’m hoping they beef up their landscape database with high quality image, right now it’s a mixture of high resolution digital images and photographs of the plants which could look weird when putting a design together. All in all, love the app and I’m sticking around for their upgrades. Thanks!!

Needs some work. I had hoped that in coming back to this app, some of the issues would be fixed, but it's still very glitchy. Several plants don't load properly. Hollyhock for example. If I try to implement hollyhock into a design, not only does it not load, but it also crashes the app so that other plants can't be selected. I then have to cancel out trying to add a plant and then try all over again with something else. Same issue with peony and I'm sure several others. Not only that, but the database is still fairly limited. It might be great for normal American landscapers who only use a handful of plants in their landscapes, but it's not as useful for those who like a little more interest and variety. But, there's not many other options out there. And the augmented reality is pretty neat. It definitely has some good qualities, but for the price, I still expect it to work correctly.

Constant glitches. I paid for a monthly subscription but half the time I have available to use it is wasted when the library will not load. I don’t know if it’s a bug or your servers but I’m ready to cancel my subscription. Flower and plant options could be greatly improved by allowed a color grabber to tool to more specifically edit a plants color scheme and foliage amount.

Future Plan. I haven’t paid for the upgrade yet, but plan to use this when I get my first place. I am interested in flipping properties and think this save me so much money rather than paying a landscaper. I hate having to look up common landscaping plants and love the way the app has photos and names of the most commonly used plants in landscaping. This makes it easier to orders seeds, bulbs, or live plants from a catalog when they are on sale rather than buying what is on sale locally just because it is on sale.

Cool idea but doesn’t work well. Upon opening it and wanting to try the AR, it tells me my device is not compatible. Well, what is compatible? Give me more information!?! My device is fairly new. So, next I create a project with a photo of the backyard. After adding a coupe of items, I notice there is no attempt to automatically scale the item. I had a flower come in as big as one of the existing trees! Silly. After a couple more items added, it freezes and I force it to quit. Open it up again and the project as well as the photo is gone for good. I might give it another shot but it is unlikely.

Won’t Do Anything Except Open. I downloaded this because it was well reviewed, but after downloading it and pulling it open I can’t get it to do anything. I tried both the 2D design and AR options, it takes a while for the screen to switch and once it does and you should be able to start to create it’s just a black screen with either the camera options around it, or some green indicator lines and nothing else. The camera image never actually loads, and no other options ever appear on your screen. You also can’t go back and so have to close out the whole app in order to try again, which is futile because it’s the same problems over and over. As time consuming and slightly frustrating as sketching everything out to scale by hand is, it’s honestly preferable if you’re just looking to do something for your yard.

Couldn’t do my job without it!. I am a landscape contractor and have used this app on a daily basis for last several years. Each estimate I send to a customer includes a rendering of their project using iScape. Does it have a few bugs? Sure, but they are constantly updating and fixing them. I have searched for similar apps and nothing compares to what this one can do. After reading several of the bad reviews I have to believe they are just trolling. Claiming there aren’t palm trees in the image library for example, totally bogus. There are around twenty different palms to choose from, so go figure. The customer support is great. Whenever I’ve had an issue they’ve responded promptly with a solution. How many times have you had that happen with other apps??? I give this app a five star rating because I think it awesome and want them to be successful and keep on developing it.

Really want to give 3 1/2 stars. I really like the idea of this app and it’s the best one out there for designing your garden. However, I wish the app could do a couple of things: 1. I wish you could layer items however you want as in put flowers behind a hedge/shrub, etc. I wanted to see how my garden would look with foxgloves behind my box woods, but the app won’t let me do that. 2. Wish there were more variety of flowers/plants and more variety of colors. There are a few plants that I’ve looked for that are pretty common that aren’t in there. Other than those two major things, I really like the app. It is the best one out there. Hopefully it will improve over time.

Utter Garbage Mining for Purchases. This is just trash. I’m running a fully up to date iPhone 11 Pro in full daylight and not only does this thing require an incredibly expensive subscription to unlock basic landscaping materials, it cannot find my marker pin, almost always fails to initialize the AR, only saves about 10% of the items I place and crashes during basic actions like item placement or saving. In addition, it doesn’t allow fundamental things like the resizing of objects (you realize trees come in more than one size, right?). Maybe you can, but none of the dial selections seem to allow resize and it crashes if I try them, anyway. I’ve tried this three or four times over a few years hoping it would improve, but it doesn’t. Worthless app not getting a dime from me.

Needs cheaper options. There needs to be a mid-tier price range. I'm thinking about getting into a design career, whether it be indoor or outdoor design... I'm not sure yet. I got extremely excited when I found this app, especially for the AR mode. I felt I'd finally be able to test my skills and see how I feel redesigning my yard (a former Japanese Garden that's seen better days...). I was blown away when I saw the ONLY asking price was $30 a month or $300 a year... Now I do feel the app is worth it to the right person, it definitely holds its value it's very top notch... But my issue is at just how little you get access to with the free option. There are only 29 objects TOTAL. That includes furniture, trees, and bushes. That's not possible to work with. I don't actually work in this line of work and want to use this for personal use/entertainment. The price just simply does not work for me. Not at all. And it really is unfortunate because I don't think there's another app on the store anywhere like it. Look up a game called "house flipper" on PC. I've dumped MANY hours into that game. This could very easily take influence and benefit from that game, especially with a one time payment of some sort.

$10 to try basic functionality feels wrong. It should be possible to use some basic functionality to find out if the app is what you want. It allows you to try a few things out and decide if you like it. An app that is nominally free but can’t be used without paying $10 feel like a bait and switch. Just charge this upfront and list it as the price. It wastes peoples time when you get them to think they are going to be able to try something out for free before deciding they like it or not. Only to find out after installing it that they can’t. Feels unethical. A review on techradar said the app is free unless you want to by the pro version. It isn’t.

Read most recent reviews before downloading. They are all * or ** reviews...why? This app does nothing except take your personal information (email and physical location) without paying a subscription fee. Tried to download and use to test whether a Pro subscription would be worth the cost, but al it did was crash repeatedly and prompt me to pay for Pro. In five minutes, it crashed while: 1) setting up an account (can’t start a project without divulging and confirming your email 2) trying AR mode (the only mode available as “free” 3) trying to contact support to request account deletion AR mode was cute for a few seconds until I realized that all I could do was plant one of a very limited numbers of trees or shrubs three inches from my house. Using a pencil and a piece of paper is much, much easier. This last point is amusing because the app does allow you to contact the developers, but the Send button doesn’t do anything. A total waste of time.

Very easy to use and excellent customer service.. As a novice gardener, I was excited to try. Did not disappoint! Great to see your ideas come to fruition right before your eyes. Easy to use and when I ran into a problem with purchasing a pro design, customer service was great to work with! They went above and beyond to make sure that my experience using the app was a great one! They care about their customers and want you to be happy with their product. In my experience, great customer service is becoming harder and harder to find these days. It was very refreshing to interact with a company that was responsive to a customers needs in such a timely and positive manner. I will definitely be recommending this app.

Needs More Work. I was excited to use this app, but it kept crashing and glitching. I had to rebuild my project 5x before I finally got it to save before glitching and freezing up. Very frustrating and wasted a lot of time. Inventory list does not scroll down, so I had to re-search a plant every time I wanted to repeat it in the design. The augmented reality feature does not handle changing light conditions at all which is detrimental when using it for outdoor purposes. So now I can’t get my project to load at a different time of day from the same “starting point”. I really wanted this app to work as described because it is a great idea, but it’s just not ready with all the bugs. Please consider hiring more or better qualified developers, especially if you’re going to charge so much and say it’s for pros.

I love this app. but most people would not agree but I liked it better before the update. It looked older but easier to work and figure out how to use. Also it was just easier to do the drawing thing for the outlines. I have some suggestions, first I think it would be better if the outlines for putting things in were just lines and not dotted lines, also I know money and stuff you want people to buy the thing but if almost everything costs money then it’s not going to make most people want to buy it it’s going to make people want to look for a better app. Those are all of my reasons for the review that I gave which is not bad.

No short term options. Although this app provides a nice virtual reality type look at what your area will look like once improvements are installed, it has serious limitations and I don’t recommend for home owners. There app only shows your intended drain when it senses the space. Each time you want to work on your design you must go outside and scan the area. It won’t remember that space and permit design work to continue. More serious, the app doesn’t permit sharing or downloading plans once you’ve designed a space. That means you must purchase a long term subscription if you want to see your design or use it. Buying a one week subscription is money wasted without the ability to export the design.

Not as good as basic image editing software. This app is a bit of a joke. It has very basic image insertion with zero ability to manipulate the background image. There is minimal access to layers and the plant selections are scant. You can upload your own images but this is rudimentary as the background of uploads is not transparent so you have a square bush. It is also buggy and the undo stack gets corrupted often. I have signed up for an initial pro trial but I'm canceling the auto renew as soon as I finish this review. You are better off with a tablet version of Photoshop or even Linea sketch. Also, no 1 week trial for pro is lame. I can see why there is no trial as most people would probably never pay once they saw how little this app can do. Not worth the price at all.

Limitations right out of the gate. This tool appears to have great potential. I’m even fine with the premium content subscription. My issue upon first use is that I have to actively be working on a project to start zeroing on design themes and plants as well as climate. It would make much more sense to have an option to establish all of this (growing zone, style such as “English Garden”, shade or sun and then finally plants) in a profile or preliminary project file. We cannot browse the pictures, plants and objects unless we begin a project... This is especially key if you plan to use the AR function which had us standing in the sun sweating through our clothes as we tried to search for and select simple items. We finally abandoned our efforts and moved back to scrubbing the web for ideas on Houzz.

$200 a year and it doesn’t load 9 times out of ten.. That’s right... $200 and I can’t get the app to load 9 times out of ten. I have used this app over a year. When first using it, it would usually load without problems, nut this is getting beyond ridiculous! The iPad is new, I have removed and installed the app, I have adjusted my iPad settings for optimum performance, and still... it just spins like it’s trying to load and ultimately I have to close it out and try again and again, and yet again. It really is a great app, when it loads. I’ll be cancelling this subscription.

Overpriced toy. This app is easy to use, unlike some other garden apps I test drove, but the trade off is that it is really just a toy. You can’t do much with the free version (unless your garden has fewer than 10 plants in it, in which case you probably don’t need an app to keep track of them), so I sprang for one month of the pay version to play around with. This provided some mild entertainment for a couple of hours, particularly because of the cool feature that lets you take a photo of your existing landscape and add plants to it. But, ultimately, it is just not a useful tool. The in-app plant catalog is so limited that I had to identify surrogates for virtually everything I wanted, and the lack of any sizing function meant it took a lot of fiddling around to make similarly tall plants appear about the same height. Even this step involved referencing other sources, as the in-app plant descriptions tended toward the sparse side. The only reason I think anyone would want to keep an ongoing subscription to this is because they forgot to tell the App Store to discontinue it (which is, unsurprisingly, not as straightforward a process as it should be).

Free version is disappointingly basic. Great app, but you have to pay to get any decent abilities

No pebble option. No option to create a pebbled area, only pavers etc so not much use to me

Forgot. Not bad so far.!

LOL $50 a month. You’ve got to be kidding me.. LOL $50 a month. You’ve got to be kidding me. What an absolute joke.

It not that good. I don’t like it because it so hard to start 👎🏻👎🏻

Greta design app. Love it. Can only add 10 items but it’s enough to start to get ideas about how to lay out the garden and test out what to plant where.

This app does nothing, expect take a picture.. I can’t get past any point in this app to do anything. It’s taken all my personal information, down to marking your GPS coordinations and nothing. Frustrating

Love it. Fun and easy to use, has helped a lot with ideas, planning etc. I only wish it wasn't a subscription though, otherwise would pay for the upgraded version!

Free trial waste of time. Only got to add two items in free trial

Unsubscribe. This doesn’t do what I need it to do, I’ve been looking everywhere for how to ensure I don’t pay, I’ve uninstalled is that it?

Not good. You might have 20 pictures to choose from but the first one I used is the only 1 I get to use everytime I click on a different image I get the same one I have used ,, not impressed

iLandscape. Great concept but a little painful to use. Images are very restricted, to bad if you live on a hill and want to add a fence to your picture unless you want your palings perpendicular to slope. I hope they upgrade this otherwise I've wasted my money.

Love it but... The app crashes, subscriptions is not the best for an app like this. I would happy pay $200 for an app like this if it didn’t crash or have to pay monthly. Great concept but needs work on the implementation.

Is it the worst app I’ve used?. Terrible app. Completely unfit for purpose and the program itself is buggy as all heck. There are a plethora of reasons why it is rubbish, but I already feel upset I lost so much time, so I won’t waste mt breath

Waste of time. This app is horrible it's not user friendly and extremely limited I am glad I tried the free version as I would kick myself for paying for this!!!!

Miss. WHAT A RIPOFF! I just purchased a $12 app that doesn't work unless I make further in-app downloads which are a further cost. I now have an expensive app I can't use- what a waste! VERY UNHAPPY,

Iscapefree. Great

Too expensive. Free version is way too restrictive and as a home gardener I can't afford 50$ pm

8/10. I really like this app, it helped me design a few jobs and which helped greatly when talking to the customer however, I think it’s really expensive.

Crashes constantly. Hi, I tried to use this to map out my backyard but find the app crashes constantly after mapping out one or two ground cover areas. Have updated app and tried on iPhone and iPad to no avail. A shame as I did pay up thinking this looked great.

Good but hate Subscription options. Please have a purchase outright option, I refuse to play for Subscription to something I can never own.

Don’t bother. The free version has nothing really to offer, just a few plants. The subscription is then $50. Not worth playing with at home. Also, you can’t just draw up walls and patios, you need to work from a photo, so no good if you are really changing things up.

Australian garden. Nice app to use but wish the plant choices were more extensive to particular regions. There are no Australian Natives in the plant catalogue provided. I also couldn't find a hybiscus anywhere.

Waste of time.. This app is useless.

So helpful & easy. Love it Super easy after a few times! Very helpful planning garden lots of plants to choose from.

Good app for homebuilders. Great to visualise the garden space when still building - some of the hardscapes don’t work that well in an Australian context eg it would be good to have decking that you can use as a fill-in texture with the draw function because we don’t build high decks normally. And also the app crashes when you use it so you have to save your work a lot. Apart from that it’s a great app and fun to use.

Poor preview of app. Downloaded the app to try, but could not get very far into the app before being asked to upgrade. Need to see more of the app before I buy. Only looking to do my own home, could be better value if you have more than one garden to do.

Why Pay for app if it won’t work?!!!. Good app in general. The cost to upgrade is too much but I did go ahead and pay for one month in order to be able to add more than 5 items....only to then have the app keep crashing EVEN THOUGH I DID THE UPDATE that supposedly fixed that but obviously did not. So basically a waste of money. Not very happy.

Total deception. The only option you have is to upload a photo and add grass! Any and all other features are not free! Deleted.

Keeps crashing. I only just downloaded the free version and I can't even get it to load a plant before it crashes. I love the idea and would have bought the paid version but I can't even get the free one to work.

Mr. They say free but what's free isn't worth it. Not a good app at all.

Cost is big jump.. The jump from new user to subscriber isn’t too bad, subscriber needs to be able to save more projects than 2. The jump to pro user is way to much and I don’t need half of the stuff in pro.

Wouldn’t work. App kept freezing.

Don't bother. Can't get items to scale of photos, you need to make your photo perfect to the scale of the items. It's like a kids sticker book.

Buggy and keeps crashing. Like the idea of this app but keeps crashing on iPad and iPhone.

Dont bother. Only free thing is to upload your own picture. Cant move a muscle unless you pay.

Great Concept. I really like this idea. It would be even better if we had the option of placing items in front or behind, but this may be available on the paid version. It's also a bit difficult to resize items. Other than that; FABULOUS!

Trial too limited. The idea of a trial is to determine whether or not an app will suit your needs. This apps trial is so limited I have not be able to determine if it will indeed suit my needs. After taking a photo of my yard, I was able to place 3 plants before being prompted to sign up for a subscription. I think I will go back to my school days and make a collage on paper!!!

Expensive Subscription. I wanted it to design a basic garden plan but all items seem to be subscription with expensive subscription.

Deceiving. You need to buy the paid app, not worth it,already deleted the app lucky it was free

Useless. Only 1 grass and 1 bark.... colouring in textas would be more useful!

Great App. Very helpful App. A little tricky to get used to. But very enjoyable to be able to show clients what is in my head.

Hard to use. Hard to use, difficult to change the size of plants. Only given a few options otherwise you have to buy packages. Not worth the time to download!!

Terrible. Don’t bother downloading this if you are looking for a demo or you want to try it out. Everything is locked till you pay for it.

IScape. Great app if it was for free at least some trees

Looks good until..... App looks great until you download a picture and try and do anything. They want you to pay for everything you want to do or add to your landscape!! Come on, just be up front in the first pace and charge a set price for the app!!!

Horrible communication! This app is a scam!. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!! They keep charging you even after you cancel. Almost impossible to communicate with them. I only wanted to use to design my own back yard for a few days. BUYER BEWARE!!

Free is only good for shrubs. Not much of a demo.

Don’t understand the point of free trial?. Free trial activated but don’t get access to anything at all? Funny. Removed subscription, waste of time.

Not enough!. Is looks great when you first get it, but then you start and the you see that you have to pay for all extras. Extras are what you really need.

Limited. I could barely do anything without buying. So sucky☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Waste of time downloading. Cheap options that aren’t worth it. Don’t waste your time downloading this app.

Save your time. This might be an excellent app but the demo version does not allow you to do anything except place a couple of layers on a photo from library. If they want to sell the app they need to unlock all the capabilities to enable purchasers to see what the app can do otherwise don’t bother...

GTFOH. For $39/month the developer better be sending his wife over couple times a month.

I-Scape -not very useful. If you want something where you can place a meagre selection of plant photos in a photo of your garden, or add some awkward rocks, this is the one for you! Even when you add your own plant photos to the library, it is clumsy and time-sucking.

Not worth it. Not what I was looking for at all. You have to buy almost everything. Don’t waste your time

Awesome tool. Good for planning

Don’t bother to download unless you’re going to pay. I realize that a pro version should have more bells and whistles, but when I can’t even add a fruit tree to the free version? It was a waste of my time and should be explained that the free version enables you to take a picture of your yard and then put grass on it. Not in any useful fashion, but as a tiled square. I can do better just with my marked up photo.

IScape. Not worth spending any money

Good. This is the most app for doing all creative things you want. Negative you have to buy to access all Stuffs. :(

Super frustrating waste of time. Looks like a great app until you try to use it. Even the most simple project is next to impossible to design because everything useful is locked. A misleading and horrible money grab.

How much!!??. Someone commented $14/m was too much a couple years ago.. they want $40CAD/m. FOURTY DOLLARS! That’s more than my water bill.

So unfair. you get access to all the crappiest features unless you pay 13$ and a monthly subscription. Could’ve been a good app but you guys had to ruin it by not only charging, but charging way too much. Wouldn’t recommend.

Misleading. I'm all for paying for an app but don't advertise it as "in app purchases" when you literally can't do anything without purchasing a subscription. I would have paid for it - just be upfront about it. Annoying.

Good App but.... BEWARE. I was enjoying this app and was paying a monthly subscription for all the features. Unexpectedly, I just received a bill for a yearly subscription. I do not want a yearly subscription (over $300) and now find that I cannot get a refund through Apple. I feel that I have been tricked into clicking on the wrong button.

Nice nice app. The best desing app

Don’t waste your time. The free version of this app is useless. Can’t believe they have the nerve to charge 13 and change a month for the consumer upgrade. Falsely advertised.

Expensive App. If you’re looking for ideas this may give you what you want, but it’s not cheap. You can’t view anything without paying.

iScape. Being able to superimpose plants, trees and backyard paraphenalia on to a photo of my own back yard makes garden planning easy and fun! A brilliant app! I upgraded to the paid version for more plants, etc. Totally worth it! Thank you, iScape!

Needs more. This is great for seeing what the garden will look like but you still need to do research on what will grow in the conditions of your garden ie. zones, soil type, sun, shade, etc. I haven't found this on the app yet but don't think it's available. Presents many types of plants to give ideas. Easy to place in garden and looks real.

Garbage. Garbage

Joke. Why would I pay $13.49 for a month just to design one space? Ridiculous. Everything is locked and needs to be purchased.

Pricey. 400.00 a year. Are you mad? Not worth it.

Free version is ridiculously limited. They’ve further limited the selection of plants for the free version. What am I going to do with 14 trees, 8 flowers, and some fruit gardens? Can’t even place a single bush. The app is useless unless you pay $13.50-$27 a month. You could do better in MS paint.

Difficult to use. You have to agree to waive all rights to photos, even if they are your own. Then you hope to use the items they have in the app, but they don’t have regular back yard stuff like sheds. I will have to go to a store that sells sheds, take a picture and load it I guess. All of this for one project. They should have a homeowner version where you can pay by project, not monthly.

Fun to use. This is a great program for beginners or for home landscape designs. I was disappointed that you could not free rotate items to fit the design you could only flip from left to right. Being able to rotate would be a great added feature.

Don’t bother. Placed 3 items and was prompted to create an account. Have no idea how good the app is from 3 interactions. Very poor user exp

Crap. Free version is crap. I am not paying 200 for a year or even just 30 to use for a month! I just want it for my own personal use. Just for two or three landscape projects. Would be nice if you made a less expensive option for personal use. Even add a few ads to make it less expensive.

This is not free.. You start with ground cover and then have to pay to unlock anything you add. Too expensive for choice of plants.

Free version is horrible. What is the point of the app if I can’t even place one plant on my image? All plants/flowers are locked!

Terrible!!. Paid for the pro version as I couldnt do anything with the free. That was a mistake! The app is constantly crashing, then it won't load the content, it does not save your work as you go. I have lost the same thing 3 times. I'm trying to get a refund from Apple and their automatic system is refusing. As if all the bugs were not enough, this app might let you see how it could, look but it sucks for actual planning. You can't see the space from above making everything 2 dimensions.

Not what I was looking for. Advertised as “free” but everything in it is locked unless you pay to upgrade.

Not worth the price. It’s easier to download a free image editor and paste images of flowers and pavers than use this slow loading tool (even on iPad pro) with very limited editing features. Paver images are not great and do not fit well to scale even after manipulation. There are better options.

Waste of money. Even after spending the $13 for the app, main features aren't available. You can't save in the program, etc. There is an additional $21 fee to unlock all other features, really? Also it crashes when ever I try to use certain textures. App is far from being able to charge those prices.

Good but lacks something. Really really good app just needs an update to be able to rotate structures to be able to fit items properly

Really works!!!. Intuitive and easy.

Terrible. This app is Sh!t it says place object on surface I put my phone on the floor and then it does nothing! Then it lags out and I never got to play it again DONT GET THIS APP

Ajout de plantes. Difficile d’ajouter nos plantes favorites Comment éliminer les plantes et arbres de la photo pour changer le paysagement.

Good App. I’m just starting on this app and It’s pretty good so far. I wish that you could manipulate the items better like 360 degree motion as well as scaling the edges (doted lines) when selecting an being able to do the same with the items. You can only manipulate the items up to a certain degree and it makes it very hard to fit the items the right way. Especially when creating hard landscapes and stairs. For this price, you would think that they would have those options. It would be amazing if I could use my 360 camera with this app. I did not try. Can someone tell me if I could use a 360 imagery instead of a flat photo?

rip off. seriously 39$ for one wk not likely

Really nice program. It’s a nice program, but I wish they had a subscription for us DIY people. The current subscription rates are too much for the limited use we would need.

Must Pay to Use. Don’t bother. It is useless unless you pay for a subscription.

Does exactly what you’d want. Variety and plant description / organization of the app is great. Does what you would expect it to. Very fairly priced . Easy to use and quick to throw it together for a client . I’m a fan !

Nothing like the video. Unusable, fidgety, kindof just plain dumb app. You can't produce anything serious with this

Amazing app!. I was able to see what I liked in my space by uploading my own picture and getting ideas. I paid for a professional because it was a big project and he was wonderful! If you want to see more then a few plants you need to pay a small amount but it’s worth every penny.

Great for imagining projects!. Easy to use, able to bring my landscape ideas to life, not the best if you want a real representation but more to give the idea of what you are going for. Something I think that would make this app better is if it had options to help with scale and choosing specific plant sizes.

Should just charge upfront and be done with it!. This is not a free application. Sure you can download it for free, but almost everything is locked. You could build a pretend sample with the one thing in each category that’s unlocked, but that’s about it. It is $10 for the first month to unlock everything, and 20 bucks for every month there after. It might be the best app of its kind out there, but I’m going to look around a bit before I commit.

Useless for (PNW) natives. I’m want to remove invasive plants from my yard. We live in the Pacific Northwest of the US, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the plants I’m looking for aren’t part of the standard package. I tried 15 plants, using both scientific and common names and 2 were in the default set of offered plants. A maple tree, and a spruce; neither were the species I needed. So I tried choke cherry. This plant is native everywhere in the US. And it isn’t in the database. I’d consider paying for the pro version, but until/unless I can see what the full list of plants are in the paid version, I’m not making the investment!

Great idea, lacking in options for Texas natives. I was so excited to use this app. I’m glad i only bought the monthly subscription because i can’t use it. I’ve got a list of several natives that i wanted to plot out using this app. Unfortunately the first 12 plants/trees I went to search for aren’t even on here. I live in Austin TX. Maybe this app is written more for other regions. Its a bust for me. Heres that they DIDNT have: Mountain Laurel tree, black dalea, artemisia, calyophus, Mexican butterfly weed, gulf coast penstemon, sage/penstemon, rock penstemon, mexican oregano, iris bicolor, texas lantana. I gave up looking after that.

Plant updates? I don’t see any. I paid for a year subscription and since then, I have not seen any additional plant material added. I am a landscape designer, Central Florida, and thought I would give this a try. First, it continues to crash on me. Very frustrating when I’m in the middle of a project and gone. Aggravating. I’m not sure I am going to pay a second year of subscription... but I sure hope there are improvements and more added plant, trees, bushes, hardscape, etc. might keep me going... thanks for listening.

Did Not Work. Though the App Store says ‘will work’ & iOS 12.2 or later the AR would not work on my device as I’m limited (iPhone 6 w/12.4 not the required 13.0+). Thanks for the heads up. Need to be more specific in your ‘works with’. So, on to my wife’s phone we go. iPhone X w/14. Sure this time it loads the AR, however, touch any button after the AR loads and app crash! Tried 3 times & nothing. Was really looking forward to using. Guess it wasn’t meant to be. Not sure how this became a “#1 pick” and an App Store featured app. Who knows?

Great app. Am a landscaper here in houston texas at the beginning i struggle showing my customers how would their project would look but found iScape totally change the whole game around I recommend it to those who starting it this landscape industry helps a lot the only thing I would like to see is more of the southern plants that we use here in Texas

Useless - allows you to buy trial subscription then throws errors and keeps trying to charge again.. Was hopeful this would help me visualize some design decisions in our backyard remodel. I paid for the trial subscription to see if it was worth my time and money, but the application just gave an error every time I try to proceed past the purchase window. I went into my Apple account and cancel the subscription, which hopefully keeps me from being charged.

Review. Overall a good product but extremely limited in certain areas. You can not draw a hedge line or wall. You must use the cut tool and are limited to the few angles provided. The inability to join multiple layers is also an issue. Will probably have to buy another design software to be able to build mounds

Click bait. 90% needs a $30 subscription. I’m standing in my back yard wasting 12 minutes trying to figure out how to get the basics going when I can hardly find anything free. Nothing but lock screens. Just make me buy it from the start. This is a demo, not a free app. Click baited into it. Deleted on day 1. Looks decent. Might have paid paid $30 once. But a never ending subscription? This is a B2B app. Not a consumer who wants to do 1 major landscaping upgrade per year.

Had fun. The price just went up on the Pro version. I’ve enjoyed the App during the time I’ve had it. Now it just became to expensive for me to continue to subscribe. I would pay for a great Landscape design tool. Unfortunately I need more designing capabilities for me to pay the yearly amount for this App. Your support team is awesome and helped me when I needed it.

Didn’t work for me. Didn’t work for me on my iPhone XS+. I just kept asking me to move my phone from side to side so I could understand my landscaping area. The first time it seem like it was going to work and I tried to put a lemon tree in the front yard and it put the lemon tree above my head. Then I couldn’t figure out how to move the Lemmontree. it didn’t seem like it was working so I restarted the app. It told me to move my Phone from side to side again so I could understand my landscape area. So I just kept going from side to side for about five minutes. I tried it three times and never got it to work.

Pay to “play”. You gotta pay the big dolla if you want to really enjoy the full benefits of this app. The trial version of this is so limited, you literally get a handful of plants, textures, and scapes to choose from. That’s barely anything for you to truly “test” out the app before investing $300 into the software. That’s outrageous and quite frankly, almost scam-like behavior despite the software being really good but more geared towards professionals. There should be a “lite” version for the average Joe’s and Jane’s.

Free Is Not Free. There are many options within this app. So many variations of grass, pavers, plants and trees. Want to see how they look in your yard design? You can click the first one offered in the row. After that the “upgrade for $9.99” box repeatedly pops up. So basically my yard already has grass and pavers and so I have to pay to see anything else. This is great if u have a patch of dirt and want to see what it looks like with a patch of green and a paver. May as well buy a green tarp and throw a couple pavers down rather than waste time looking at pop ups.

Misleading. Downloaded the app, realized there were many features I was not going to get for free but I was alright with that. This was going to be a one time project. Was just getting started, had to make an account, again fine. Barely did anything and could not go forward without having to purchase a monthly membership. I would not have bothered with the app had I realized. Too bad, would have done what I needed with the limited tools I started with.

Way too expensive for the average person. It’s a nice app that looks like it has a lot of potential. I enjoyed the AR feature. But the demo is severely limited (all of the trees were locked) - and renting this app for US$300 a year is ridiculous. There are many apps like this elsewhere. If you’re a business that can write this off, go for it. But it’s a big no for me.

Awesome app. The best app for landscapers and designers. The customer support is amazing. They took my ideas and posted it to the app within hours. These guys and gals are here to help and will make sure that this app works for you. Great price. One design will cover years of expenses for the app. Pro version is definitely worth it!!!! Michael

Not much to do. I’m just a minor trying to create my own things in a young age for my own personal experience and I was curious about this app. I have downloaded it and when I first started using it, there wasn’t a much things and objects you could place down for free, most of it you have to pay which is something i can’t afford to do, this is mostly just an app for people who are willing to pay for the things, there is almost no respect nor things you can do without paying

What an awesome experience!!!. The app itself is very intuitive and even fun to use. Love the concept and how easy it is to overlay realistic and sized images of the plants onto actual photos of my yard. I used the design service also which was five stars all the way! Worked with a live person to design my perfect backyard. Very happy with this app!

Crashes out constantly. This app is so frustrating. It’s a wonderful idea, but the program needs a lot of work. It keeps crashing out and erasing any current work. I can’t see anyone purchasing this expensive app until it is significantly re-vamped. Update: My neighbor happened to stop by and we started garden-chatting. She wanted to know what app I would recommend. I told her I’d avoid iScapes and she laughed, responded “Yah, I tried that one but couldn’t use it because it kept glitching out on me.”

Why won't it let me do anything?. I paid the subscription, but no matter where I try to place something, whatever I'm trying to place turns red and the app refuses to move it. It should not be this hard to throw a couple of items on the yard. Any why is it SOOOOOO slow?? I have the fastest phone available and I have gigabit internet, but everything just lags, and lags, and lags... If you're going to charge lots of money, it at least has to kind-of work...

Locked up and wouldn’t give back my credits!. I used this app a few months back and loved it. Very user friendly then. I finally got my flower bed cleaned out so I could really use this app. I had to start over with my design which was fine. I was using the provided credits. It froze up and then when I reopened the app all the credits were still used but it wouldn’t let me use any of the designs I’d previously put the credits towards. It was a total waste of my time.

The app won’t save design and closes while designing. After purchasing the app to use more than three ground coverings, the app no longer works. It opens up, I start working on my project and then it shuts down. It doesn’t not save any of the designs. I have tried shutting my phone off and back on, as well as tried six times with no change in the results. The app is completely unusable and a waste of time. I wish this would have worked properly (which is was before purchasing) after purchasing the app.

Update screw up. Hey guys, the app is awesome!!! Well it was at least until I did the update on it and now I can’t do anything. The app closes itself every time when I’m in the middle of a project and I lose everything. It’s very frustrating. It was working great and now I’m not sure what happened. Other than that, when I can use it I love it! It’s by far the best app out there!

not recommended; misleading. i totally thought this app was going to a be a fun trip. maybe i could design a few different yards for my multiple internal fantasies but i was horridly wrong. this is not a fun app. the only thing it allows you to do is photoshop grass onto the photo. i would recommend to the advertisement agency of this app to create a less misleading ad. i am very disappointed that i didn’t get to make my Karen 2.0 yard OR my lesbian cottage garden. i will be resigning my position as a consumer of your company due to extreme stress. thank you.

Where are the plants? Shrubs? Flowers? Trees?. I’m looking for an app to help with my personal landscaping. The only thing I can do with this app is add grass and a sidewalk. There are zero trees, shrubs or flowers available! The only categories available are grass, mulch/straw, gravel/stone ,stone walls, and misc. (Misc has water, sand, etc). There are no plants except grass. I tested the free version so only one item per category listed above was unlocked. That is fine. One item is enough to test out how the app works, but there are only 8-16 items per category listed above. No way that is worth $30/month subscription price to upgrade to pro. There should be flowers, trees & shrubs in a landscape app!

Review. I think that the app could be a very good app and has a good concept, but the issue is that (at least when I tried it) is that you can’t add any plants because to add any, you have to upgrade and I find that annoying that I can’t do anything because I don’t want to pay for something that I’m not going to use all the time. That basically is the only issue that I found.

Wish you could rotate items. Decent app, struggles a bit with uneven or sloped terrain. It would help a lot if you could just rotate items when placing them. It doesn’t have to be a free rotate but at least let us rotate in 90 degree increments. Otherwise you have to be facing a certain direction to place something and again with the sloped terrain it doesn’t like placing items from certain perspectives

High hopes dashed. I should have headed the other reviews. Basically this is a „Clip Art“ type of program. You can take a picture of the location you want to change and place some pictures of plants, shrubs, walls and walkways. There is no means of determining scale so the rose may cover a 16 ft height or the hydrangeas a 20 ft width. Yes you can change the height & width of the inserted picture but you are guessing at what area it really covers.

Frustrating. I wanted to sketch out simple changes to the yard—reshape the lawn area, place stone borders and bedding plants. The tools in this app are absolutely frustrating to use! The draw tool makes straight lines, no matter how many times I tried to curve it. Resizing objects results in them appearing huge or shrinking. This is not “free” as you have to immediately upgrade to use anything. Maybe if you’re a contractor with hours and hours to explore and teach yourself by trial and error, it would be worth it. Not worth the frustration for simple jobs!

Great app. Best free landscaping app I have ever downloaded shows my customers what there yards could look like and I have landed more work because of this app love it and you will to just needs more plants options will be buying the full version soon great app for small business owners like my self thanks I-scapes for making this awesome tool

Nope. This is a ridiculously expensive app, especially if you aren’t a professional. $300 a year to take a picture of your yard and draw on it? These people value their toy way too much. To be fair there are a few things you can do on this “free app” that won’t cost anything, but if you want to see what your yard would look like with more than grass and an apple tree you have to pay $30 a month or $300 a year. Don’t waste your time with this app, it’s a joke.

Unable to signup for account. I really like the app. It’s great for someone like me who wants a DIY way to quickly visualize what my landscaping will look like. However, I want to save my project. I am unable to signup. I keep getting ERROR: invalid session token when confirming my email for signup. I suggest this app if you have a iPhone with Lidar it’s excellent. I still can’t make an account.

Where’s the option??. The free version literally has little to no landscape options. As other comments stated years ago, there should be at least a free trial period not just your $10 discounted rate for the first month and then $20 month to month. I’m sure this app is handy for actual pros/landscape designer but for the average person who just wants to DIY, this app doesn’t suite (without at least a free trial). Please listen to your reviews because years later nothing has changed in terms of inviting the average person to try this app without spending money right off the bat.

Definitely not for a DIY project. I wanted to play around with some designs for my front yard. Totally useless without the pricey subscription- unless your entire design includes nothing but the VERY few specimens they provide for free. Couldn’t get the AR feature to work. I wouldn’t pay for the app without knowing if the plants that are readily available or used in my area are on there for use without upLoading my own pics.

Realistic and Fast Designing. I’ve been running this on my new iPad M2 chip and it’s so much fun. Love the menus- lots to choose from-plants to lighting and furnishing options. Wish I could play with the adjustment and angles a bit better to fit any photo angle. Some of the patio and walkway options are limiting. Overall, I love the fast and realistic looks when designing from a photo.

Fun app. Needs more options to buy. I know my way around design apps. I am proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop. The issues I constantly had with this app are: I can’t lock layers. I want to be able to select and move an object, or resize the screen, without accidentally selecting and moving the grass or some other ground coverage, which is then 99% impossible and very time consuming to put in the correct spot again Auto save. Having to hit save every 5 minutes in case your phone dies, or you forget to save and close the app is silly. I did not find the crop tool shown in the instruction video. I do like that the objects blend into the photo nicely. I also like the option to edit the color and lighting of each object. Overall, fun app. Great for visualizing your perfect landscape. Not enough features to tempt me to purchase the app.

Honestly. Bit of a learning curve but honestly highly impressed with the fact you can add material as well with a photoshop like vibe but designed for this program. One thing I hope they add into the program is house siding so when you cut out the old land scape you can make it look like the house the best you can before adding new land scape

Useless if you don’t want to pay $9.99 a month. I got it expecting to at least get an idea of what I wanted to do in my front yard but it only lets you place like 4 trees and like 4 flowers for free and then some patio items and one set of pavers. It’s completely useless to you unless you want to pay $10 a month just to do something I can probably do on my computer myself anyways. Not really a free to use app when it’s useless to those that don’t pay…

It’s okay. This app is good for personal use but I would never use this professionally. The app is great for beginners but has some flaws. The app will freeze up. The app will also close out during a design and will not save even with the Pro version. It’s also incredibly hard to rotate objects, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. The app definitely needs some improvements and I will not be paying the monthly fee after the trial.

Needs more options. It would be great to be able to pick the angle of the item you are using ( Above look, different angles, and straight on ). Also many more pictures could be added to all of the categories. Another thing that would be nice is filter for certain looks ( Old English, Japanese, Modern, Industrial, Rustic ). The app works to get the point across to customers, but it would be nice to wow them too.

iScape Great for Beginners. I enjoy using iScape to help design my backyard landscaping. The options to chose from are endless. Shrubs, trees, flowers, hard scrapes, stones, mulch, ponds, fountains and so much more. I just took a picture of the area and used it in iScape to give me ideas. I would like many feature for iScape to make suggestions for the area I photographed. I am no expert but do have an eye for design so having that option would be like having your personal landscaper! Fun app!

Don't Waste Your Money!. I bought the original version and purchased the add on plant packages now the database won't work. I feel like I supported this company when it was first starting out and now they are not being supportive in return. I volunteered to do a garden for my children's school and now the app that I purchased won't work. This is so disappointing and has really put me in a bind. I think if a person purchases something it should not be disabled later because the company wants to charge its customers more. This is poor business practices and unethical. I think there should be loyal to the original customers.

Free version is useless. I was excited to try this, but all but two of the plants on my list were unavailable without a paid subscription. You can't really even try out the app with so little available to experiment with. Really bummed, because the ability to visualize plantings in your actual garden is a really cool tool. But as a regular home gardener, I can't pay $30 a mouth to visualize my plan. I'd rather spend the money on plants and visualize them once they are in the space.

Free version is useless. They keep the options so limited, you cannot design anything using the free version of this app. $25/month is way too much for the pro version. They need something less expensive that allows the typical user to design a garden or two and be done. If you’re just trying to design something for your own home, maybe upgrade to pro and then cancel before your first free week ends.

Crashes, totally unusable.. I really had high hopes for this app. Such a great idea, however the app is completely unusable. It crashes constantly - upon opening the app, in the middle of using it, trying to save your project, even loading your project. I emailed the developer from their website a week ago, and zero response. Seems this app may have worked at one time but it currently does not. I have the iPhone 8 by the way. Don’t waste your money on this app until the developers actually fix it.

IScape landscape design. I’ve been trying for two days to cancel my prescription they make it so hard I still haven’t figured it out I sent them a message explaining that would like to cancel my prescription went to iTunes to do this it keeps bringing me back to IScape

Eh. I wanted more from it.. This app is cool but I could really just use photo shop to do this. I was hoping it would recommend plants based on zone, light in space, etc… and maybe based on the other plants in the are (you’ve picked a hydrangea for this area- these other plant goes well with hydrangeas)I don’t like that there’s no way to sort trees by mature height so you can pick one that will work in the space long term. And the measurements for the plants isn’t consistent- some are in meters and some are in feet. Oh well! Glad I didn’t pay for the subscription.

Give a bit more iScape. If I’m going to try out a new app I’m not gonna try it all out in seven days. First of all I gotta do my research. What plants do I want? What materials do I want? I have to find inspiration and every time I think of some thing, then yeah I’ll add it on, but the fact that the free app gives little to zero features is really frustrating. At least give us a couple of examples to use and try out and secondly I’m not gonna spend $29 a month or $300 a year to use this app that’s definitely for a professional which I am not.
