GREAT GAME!!!!!!. I love this game and play it regularly. I have not gotten tired of it and it remains challenging as you can tweak past performances. Yes it is an old game, but, compared to many new ones, this is a standout!! I love how you have to use your brain and that there are no in app purchases. When discussing games I always encourage people to check it out. I just wish they would either make a Jelly Defense II or upgrade with more levels. I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Trust me.....

My favorite iPad game ever until most recent update. Former review: I love this game so much it's not even sensible. The graphics, music, and gameplay are all top-notch. I hope for more boards to play! January 2018: the most recent update made some changes that don't make sense. The final levels now much harder than it used to be, but not more fun or anything. Please update again and fix that and add a level or two!! September 2023: I would happily pay to erase all my progress and start the game over. I wish that was an option.

My favorite iPad game-more levels please. This is an awesome tower defense and strategy game. Don't believe the reviews that say the towers and jellies are all the same. Those people didn't make it far enough in the levels or work through the tower upgrades to see the variations and how they affect your strategy to win a level. The soundtrack is engaging and pleasant. The graphics are fun. It took me a few months of off and on effort to finish all levels. I wish there were more levels, but this game was well worth the 2.99 to me.

Very difficult, very good. This is a really hard tower defense game! It doesn’t baby you at all. If you are new to TD games, you might want to start with one that ramps up the difficulty slowly, like the Kingdom Rush games. But if you want to jump right in and really work for your win, this is great. It’s also good looking, a nice bonus. Highly recommended TD game for aficionados!

Fun game!. Love this game but text from Jelly giving hints is missing. Also it says I've got 9 gems to go but I can't find another level after Frosting Intensity which I won. Would love to see a Jelly Defense #2!

Really good. This game is a challenge and I love that. It started out to be really easy, but it got harder pretty fast. An excellent game for people who love tower defense games and is also a challenge for everyone.

Favorite game ever. I purchased this app more than 10 years ago when it first came out. I love the different towers and personalities of the jellies. l have played the levels over and over trying to completely master each level and not lose any gems, continually trying to beat my highest scores. I wish there were more levels, I would pay again just to get those. 100% recommend if you like strategy, tower defense, puzzle games.

Love it. I got this for free on a starbucks card. I'm totally addicted. I love this game. Since I started playing I've convinced a handful of other people to buy it by letting them play the first level on my phone. :)

Really love this game. Amusing characters, different powers to defeat them, accompanied by great music and hysterical sounds make for ultimate fun. Great strategy game with a sense of humor. Quality game excellent for all ages, best on ipad but playable on smaller screens ok too (when addicted as we are a need a fix!) hope they build more planets if i am ever able to solve all the levels on this one!

Need balance. It need balance or difficulty setting it too difficult some stages you need to repeat The stage 20 times to get right even so two seconds late in action you loose immediately It is too frustrating I stop playing I will not buy from this developer anything

Addictive you will loose hours!. You have to learn from your mistakes and remember the path and pattern to win the level. Not a mindless activity app.

Amazing and captivating challenge. I love this game - the artistic elements, the challenge, the whole thing. Tip! When you beat the game, meaning getting a perfect score on every section (and you can) and reaching 100% completion on the globe, there is a little secret you can find where you can play the whole globe again on a new level (at a little harder difficulty). This game is my daily “brain break” and I’m now at 1000% level...!

I love this game. Please continue to update this game, this has been one of my all time favorite iPhone games. I love the graphics and overall game mechanics.

Great tower defense game. Ok, so nothing groundbreaking, but this is a very solid and fun tower defense game. I'm glad to see it still works on iOS 9 on my new iPhone 6s. I wish they would come out with a sequel, or at least an update to add some new levels.

HALLELUJAH!. This is definitely a 5 star tower defense game, the graphics are good, the soundtrack is fun, the jellies funnier and is good for all ages (assuming you can work a tablet or phone). WARNING!! If you are the kind of person who likes to just burn through a game and on to the next one, this is not for you, it takes time and patience to beat this game.

Great potential. I enjoy this game but some of the levels are very long and you have to use trial and error to get through. WISH it included undo! You can be deep in to play at a level and accidentally drop a tour in the wrong place and might as well start over. SUPER frustrating.

BEST ipad game EVER. Insanely addicting. I love this game so much, I've finished every level multiple times. It can be challenging, but that's because its complex. Once you come to understand every aspect of the game, you can really do well. And it is so much more absorbing and intricate than most games. Make sure you put your towers in spots where they are most effective---you can tell if it's a good spot by how quickly it is leveling up. PLAY THIS GAME, IT IS WORTH IT! Amazing game, high difficulty. This game among many other td games stands out boldly. This game’s major difference is that it’s far less of a defense and far more of an offense. The player needs to be able to quickly sell, place and upgrade towers when necessary, alongside making decisions on what towers you will research. The hardest are the winter levels, the second one giving me the greatest challenge yet to beat. Not even the people online could have a vid of it perfected. For this appearing as just a simple kids td game about jellies, it is very advanced. If you look for a fun td game to challenge you, go right ahead. For the casual gamers however, this game will frustrate you. I recommend getting the piggy bank down as fast as possible and getting it to lv 2, it’s cash generation is insane if you can set your defenses up right. It grants you a percent of your cash at the end of a wave, or when the last jelly dies of that wave. It starts at 10%, but gets you to 25-30%. You can easily end up with more cash than you know what to do with! Anyways, for those looking for a challenge, get this, the more casual players or little kids, it’s gonna be a touch road.

Really like but buggy. I'm playing on an iPhone 6. The Game Center achievements loop endlessly. That interferes with gameplay as well as being just annoying. The intro text for the Mellow is blank so I have no idea if there's something important there.

Good potential, poor balancing. This game has frustrated me to the point where I'm writing my first review ever. I love tower defense games. It's pretty much the only thing I get from the app store these days. In playing Jelly Defense, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers: Cool game, but inexplicably difficult to beat. That would normally be a good thing, but I'm not talking about mastering some skill, based on strategy. I'm saying this game does things that don't make sense, like attack waves progressing inappropriately. The levels are very unbalanced. One level is super easy; the next is dumbfounding. The only way to master this game is just to memorize the levels. To me, this is like the difference between someone memorizing school test answers, vs someone understanding strategy. In most levels, you might be able to anticipate the incoming jellies and place towers appropriately. But sometimes, within that same level, there will suddenly be an attack wave that completely breaks through. The only way to beat this is to memorize the attack waves. Also, the in-game advice sometimes doesn't display. I'll get the pop-up window, but it's completely blank. I'm on the latest iOS and an iPhone 6. I hate being critical. Seriously, I would love to make games like this for a living. So I feel like a jerk for talking smack. However, this game deserves a little beat-down for not being balanced. And a few bugs.

Favorite tower defense game!. My son got this years ago, and the catchy little tunes and beautiful, quirky graphics caught my attention. I got it myself, and years later, it is still my favorite tower defense game. I love the fact that I'm not spammed by in-app purchases. Jelly Defense, Plants vs Zombies, Catan, and Carcassonne seem to be the only games that survive my frequent game purges.

Too hard, not fun.. I am not sure why this is rated so well. It is too hard, not challenging mind you, hard, for no good reason. And it is not like you can go through the game and unlock upgraded towers to make it easier when you go back and play the levels again. And it is simply not fun, there is not much too it. A tiny amount of towers, only a few powers, no strategy, the tower upgrades are lame and uninteresting, the baddies are all the same basic enemy and they all look almost identical. This makes me wish Apple had a good refund policy. It might be fun in the future, but right now it is just blah.

New levels please!!!. Um I downloaded this and beat it over a year ago and have been waiting for an update with new levels or even a whole new version. Can you please make more levels. Thanks

Surprisingly complex. I was looking for a tower defense game as well designed as Plants vs. Zombies and this one delivers. It's more challenging than P vs Z but in a good way. Highly recommend.

Much too hard. I really liked this game at first, would have given 5*, but then, it got much too hard, much too fast. Its no fun having to play and lose the same level, the same way, 30 or 40 times in a row. I ended up giving up and deleting it. Too bad, it had so much potential.

Please please please give us a sequel. Infinite dreams, it seems like you guys are back in buisiness. This is a hugely successful app, it’s so much fun, and I feel like you guys could make loads of dough (and make lots of people happy) with a sequel.

Not worth the $$$. Other than the pretty graphics, it's just like any other tower defense, except without ads, which shouldn't matter if you block them with AdBlocker. Literally nothing of value.

Best mobile tower defense game. This is absolutely one of the best tower defense games ever made. The graphics are crisp and well animated, the levels have good variety and many in number. I'm always surprised I don't see this game staying on top selling charts like angry birds or plants vs. zombies because it is just as much their equals in quality and fun

Incredible TD game. Challenging-great music-gorgeous graphics-what more could you want besides a sequel! If ever a game was worthy of a sequel it is this one. They could even keep the graphics from the original and even the music and it’d be we worthy of a game. Not sure why that never happened. That’s the only gripe for an otherwise job very well done.

Excellent!. This game is so much fun. It's challenging but achievable. The music is very cool and - incidentally, is now available for purchase on the iTunes store (which I have already taken advantage of!). Definitely worth it - the best game app I have bought so far. As an added bonus you will never be asked to pay for anything extra (unlike the ten thousand simulation games out there!). Buy it, you'll love it!

Jellyjoy. Enormous fun. Artistic, with a light touch and hard hard hard. I keep going back. I finished the whole game and am trying the even harder rerun. Please make version 2 soon. Perfect.

Wonderful. Outstanding production quality and music, game play very good, graphics excellent. Only thing I'd like to see (apart from more content because it's so good) is a difficulty setting. Should be able to ramp it up or down on each level, particularly as a couple of levels the difficulty balance isn't quite there yet...

Good game with frustration!. This is a good game except for one major flaw. Some idiot thinks that it is a good idea to wipe out completely all of your progress from a single button click! I clicked on the Launch button (top right corner) today and clicked Yes on the prompting message when getting back to the menu without reading what it is (the credits were too long so I just wanted to get back to the game quickly to play again) and out of the sudden all my games are reset! I dont know what was written inside that message. But regardless of what it is, such a dangerous button should never get into the game in the first place. Why on earth would someone want to reset all of their game progress? If they want to play again, they can always do so. Or at least the developer should pack aside their progress before reseting the game so that they can go back if they want to. This is such a major user experience flaw. If you read this, keep in mind, DONT EVER CLICK ON THE LAUNCH BUTTON ON THE TOP RIGHT!

Jellirific!. Awesome game. One of those games you find yourself having just one more go at 9:00 before you end up going to sleep at 2:00... Buy it twice!!

4 star - Too hard to be 5!. Great little TD game. Best played on iPad and sometimes theres a lot happening onscreen. My biggest annoyance is there aren't beginner/intermediate/expert modes, some of the levels are so difficult and I need to play them many many times to win (i haven't finished game yet, so possibly will never complete if I hit an even harder stage). The black and white / Color is effective as well.

Unique. Polished, great audio, visual and full of enough personality to be its own franchise!… can take a bit to get used when from other TD’s… though… *shrugs*.

Great. Never used to be much of a fan of tower defence games, but this one is so well made and pretty that it's hard not to like it. Even my nearly 5yo loves it.

Cutest tower defence game ever. This game is amazingly cute and engaging. The visuals are beautiful and the music is completely cute and addictive. The only game I've ever seen as similarly cute as this was Loco Roco on the PSP, but this is a generation ahead. Kudos to the developers for such a fantastic game.

Addictive.. Jelly Defense is my game of the moment - great music, lovely graphics, challenging gameplay. I have a major problem though. There is very little info to go on - no help menu, and no clue anywhere how or what to do to access the locked levels. I've clocked the game, but there are about half a dozen levels that are locked. What the..? Help would be appreciated.

Djelly defense party. an excellent game, I love the colours against the grey and white background - it is a very pretty game to look at, the music is catchy - I find myself humming it at work, it is a great fun TD to play and not too easy either, one of the rare good games in the app store

Waste of money. This game is kind of fun at times but the difficulty is such that more often than not its just frustrating. Definitely not worth the money I paid for it.

Common!. I have played this through from start to finish at least five times. Everyone I know I e told about this has been as big an addict as I. not a terrible tower defense game. Pretty good, although quite difficult at higher levels. It's good that they've added a fast forward button because it did become quite boring at times waiting. My main gripe is that it kept telling me I'd got 'achievements' for various things, but I can't find anywhere that shows me which achievements I've earned. It just pops up in the corner for a short while when I earn it, and then I can never find out about it again. There's a little trophy on the main screen - I thought this might be it - but pressing it does nothing. Very confused.

Awesome. I'm still yet to find a game that is better and more addictive than this game. 1. It never gets old 2. Simple concept but with challenging levels 3. Graphics are awesome 4. Worth very penny spent.

Best game ever. Admittedly, I have a fetish for tower defence games, and this game is one of the best. It takes a very simple approach so it's very accessible for even the novice. With each increasing level of difficulty,they push you just outside your comfort zone enough to make you determined to clear that level. Once you try to get perfect scores, you find yourself frequently restarting the level so you can switch up your tactics. This game is easy to get into, but once things start heating up, it really challenges you by forcing you to try different things. The level design is very well thought out in this regard. The graphics are very beautiful. Certainly some very talented artists behind this title. The sound design and music is also on par with the graphics. Good to see they have given both sides equal importance. I like playing this game with the sound turned up. I never get sick of it. This game will bring hours of entertainment for such a small price. Love it to bits.

Great game. Great game I maybe a little addicted to it but in the "inexhaustible jar of jellies" the game dumps itself when you get unto about 54 levels of monsters coming out - has anyone found this or does anyone know of how to get past this level?

Loving it. There's plenty of stuff to do to improve your score, improving your speed and remembering which towers are most beneficial in which place. Great music, al very cute - I love it.

Addictive and funky. Out of this genre I think Jelly Defence is probably the most fun. Sound track in the background is hypnotic and game play can be fast and challenging, a lot of fun.

Nice update. I like how I can now turn the game music off and play while listening to my own music. Fast-forward button is also nice.

Awesome!. What an exciting game for ipad! Great graphics, great gameplay and lots of levels. None of that in app buy stuff too! Love it! Note: This game takes a long time to complete - it can be done but you'll spend a fair bit of time to do it!

Smooth!. I'm not a fan of the tower defense genre, and when I do stray into these games, it tends to be more of the futuristic style towers. Simple, polished little things like "swipe" to pick up coins, the power ups, and graphics make this worth the money!

Great Art Style!. Was initially taken by the art style, loved the look of it and how it all fit together on the screen. After playing a bit i realised the gameplay is just as fun as what the art is to look at. Although its missing a fast forward button for the middle of waves it is still worth a look. Great App!

Latest update wiped my levels. The latest update locked a bunch of levels that I had already beaten with perfect scores. I literally worked for weeks to beat those levels, I could cry having them go back to being unfinished. It also appears that a lot of my achievements are gone. Don't download the latest update!!

Mega Game but due for Update. I love this game it’s probably the best tower defence game in the App Store!! But after downloading it on my new IPhone XR I noticed that it doesn’t stretch over the whole display of the new bigger sized screen. Pleas update thanks ❤️❤️❤️

Gala Hurra. This game really is easy, fun and engaging to play. Whether it be the art style, the music or the actual gameplay it all moulds together to make an extradonary fun experience. The only downside is that i wish there were more levels or added levels of complexity to the end of the game.

Cute, colorful. This game looks great on my iPad. It is like an eye candy tower defense. The cute, colorful visuals work well. The music is also really nice. You might find the tune of some of the songs stick with you. As a tower defense game, it is good. The gameplay while good is probably not the best, but the game developers so far keep improving it with updates, so it gets better and better. It has more of a playful, less violent, less combat, feel than other tower defense games.

More levels needed!. Great TD game, fun theme. I don't understand why no new maps have been released, its a lost revenue opportunity... I would gladly buy new map packs if they were reasonably priced. Kingdom Rush gives away new maps periodically for free to maintain interest in their game.

Needs an option to reset from the beginning (easiest level). I love the game, but there hasn’t been anything added to it for a very long time. I’d like to replay from the beginning; however, it seems that the only available option now is to reset with higher difficulty level. After a while, it gets to an impossible level that it’s no longer possible to play it. I would like to reset the game and start from the easiest level again. It is no longer feasible to do so with ios11. Could you please add an option to do so? Thanks

Unique style, solid tower defence game play. Beautiful graphics, addictive music, and a solid tower defence game. It does get reasonably challenging, quite quickly. Definitely pick this one up if you like TD games!

Great look and feel, but poor balance. The graphics and sound effects are amazing and fun; the gameplay is typical TD, nothing new here. However, the game is quite difficult and should allow for difficulty levels. Otherwise it can get very frustrating to match the precise fine-tuning of tower locations and upgrades which the creators envisioned as necessary to complete each level, and this frustration detracts severely from the otherwise-pleasant visual and aural experience. However, no matter how good looking the game is, if the gameplay is unbalanced, it will soon be deleted from the i-device.

Not a Typical Tower Defense Game. This game is pretty challenging, but isn't impossible. Because of this, it's pretty fun. Note: Towers have pretty small attack radiuses.

Great strategy game with design quirks. Im using a 5th gen iTouch and it's obvious that the game was designed for a bigger screen. At times the tower spots are cut off or are partially covered by the interface buttons. I've accidentally placed and sold so many towers, it gets frustrating. The game mechanics are different from other TD games. Enemies drop coins that you have to touch to pick up. Because of this, you have to hold buttons to upgrade/sell towers. It makes sense but doesn't work perfectly in practice. I don't mind the preselected tower spots. But some are very close together and it's not always clear which one is selected. I've mistakenly upgraded the wrong towers at times. The level selector is too cute and not practical enough for me. Minor complaint though because it does work well enough. With all that said, huge remarks to the design team! The production is top notch! Beautiful graphics, great sounds, cute characters, and interestingly designed levels. No in-app purchases really help keep it polished. I just hope they take different sized screens into consideration for the next release.

Great TD game. I love TD games and this is an awesome one with graphics and skill. Like most though, you can only place towers in places that the developers have chose for you. Still a great game, but some boards are so difficult you have to trial and error play until you discover exactly where the developer wants the towers placed to beat the level to go forward. Now I have finally beat each regular board I need to go back and master every board to unlock the locked levels in between. Still fun! Didn't need the red connect towers at all through out the whole game. Kind of useless since they shoot a short distance and very long delay till 2nd shot. Maybe that will be fixed or a better tutorial for it. I'd usually spend fun time experimenting with them but not this game. Thanks for a great idea in a game and the graphics are superb!

Good but.... The presentation on this game is fantastic. It is very obvious that the people that worked on this were very passionate about it. The sounds are great and so is the music (though there are too few tracks and they can get pretty annoying). This game is a bit more difficult than most TD games, which I typically like, but not when the enemies are as cheap as they are here. It's so frustrating when towers fire behind even the slower enemies, or one enemy in a group is able to dodge attacks from every single tower. If the game was fair it would definitely be 5 stars, but the gameplay is frustrating and inconsistent so it deserves 3 stars at best.

Would be 5 stars but crashes CONSTANTLY. This game is awesome and I'm completely addicted, despite the fact that it crashes literally 8 times in an hour. At first I realized it was whenever I got a notification (it was crashing every few minutes), so I had to go in and manually turn off every notification I receive on my iPad (never realized there's no universal off switch for notifications!) and now it crashes much less, yet still many times in an hour. And when it crashes, everything I was doing in that level is gone. I could've been about to win that level, but too bad, I have to start over! I'm so infuriated with it that I was motivated to write a review which I don't often do more than give just a star rating. If they fix the crashing issue, I'd give it 6 stars!

Fake reviews?. I bought this game based on the amazing in-depth reviews stating how fantastic it was. Don't believe those reviews!!! The reviews stating the game is too demanding because you are forced to put towers EXACTLY as THEY demand are the accurate reviews. I'm a seasoned tower defense player so I'm no novice. NO variety, NO experimentation, NO strategy, just put the towers EXACTLY where THEY say or forget enjoyable game play. It's like that from the very first level once the tutorial is done. What a waste of divine graphics, great music and pleasant FX sounds. This development team had great artists, great composers and the WORST strategy designers I have ever had the misfortune of purchasing an APP from. I find the positive reviews so deceitful, I suspect foul play of purchased reviews for a bogus 5 star rating. I want my money back! At the very least fire your strategists and update with intelligent game play. I LOVE challenging TD games, but this game is just pathetic!

Better than Angry Birds!. At least for me, this game is better than angry birds (and I really like that game, don't get me wrong) The strategy of placement (not only of a tower, but of which) to upgrade a tower or place a new one, to use the tree to create a new tower, and all this while on the fly of the actual battle. What some see as flaws (takes time for a new tower to form, sell, or upgrade. coins that hide. etc) I see as part of the strategy when playing. The graphics and music are great. Most games I'll turn the music off while playing, but this one I keep on. And my kids laugh every time the final guy of a stage is defeated!

Top-notch with a few flaws. I could say that the graphics and sounds are top-notch. But the game proves to be difficult even at the early levels. The game requires you to change your set of towers more often than other TDs, but selling/upgrading a tower requires two long presses and the deployment of a new tower is for another few seconds, which makes changing towers a bit of a challenge. Also, firing rate of towers are slow, but the movement of the enemies are so fast. You also need to pick up coins manually, but some coins will be visually blocked by some objects. So I think, power ups are very crucial in this game, as it would mean your defeat if not used at the proper timing. Overall, make it easy to sell and upgrade towers, all coins should be visible, and you will deserve 5 stars.

Lost in fun. The tower snob with the bad review is dead wrong. As the game advances so does the strategy and tower options. New towers are later introduced. It starts slow so new players can catch on. Nothing wrong with that and you move forward at your own pace. So to the tower game snob that seems to have wasted much on their life on video games, this is for the rest of us- and we LOVE it. I bet you cannot get through the last level...no one can. The game is evil. I think this is the greatest game ever created. Way better than angry birds!!! I will never take care of my kids again!

Played and mastered most TD games over years. This version tough. Specially to get perfects On 3rd - 5th levels. But not too hard if you are a TD fan. Just took a few extra strategy changes; go back to basic strategy as hint... Which is what makes this genre of game fun right? Hard with just three towers... In that vein, would have liked the option for difficulty levels, as this version is basically "hard" by default. But with the crazy nut job ambiance, and such - limited options, I think true TD fans will be enticed if you are type that likes the challenge and completes these on hard anyway... If you look at TD games like puzzles to solve, you will like. Also nice, for now, of them not to tempt folks with a $ upgrade as most casual cheap games today are almost forcing on consumer as too many clearly buy if u look at top grossing games. Rather pay more up front.

fun game but constant crashes are ridiculous. I love this game. The graphics are awesome, soundtrack makes me laugh, and the cartoon characters are really vivid and creative and funny. BUT.....and it's a big but.......the game constantly crashes! I can't get past the first level without crashing. Sometimes i can't get past the tutorial screen without a crash. Sometimes its in the middle of the first level and it crashes. There is no way of predicting when the game will go down and then poof - it's gone - and I have to start over. Glad I only paid .99 for it. BTW, I also downloaded the Jelly Clock thinking, huh this would be kinda cool. NOPE, it crashes too. Not sure what is going on here with this developer's programs or what, and I've emailed them about the issues as of yesterday but I have yet to hear back from them. I've tried deleting the program and then reinstalling, quitting from the menu, and none of those work. Until then, I feel I've wasted money - even though it's only a small amount - on this game. When the constant crashing is fixed, then I'll upgrade my rating from two stars. Until then, there it stays. It's fun to play WHEN IT WORKS, but unfortunately that doesn't seem possible.

Great looking and great playing td game. This is a really fun game. I'm a big fan of pixel junk monsters, and the game is pretty much the same. Not a new concept really, but the mechanics of the game are perfect for the touch screen. Anybody that is complaining about the gameplay either doesn't understand that you have to come up with a good strategy to win, or just doesn't like or understand tower defense games. The towers are supposed to take a few seconds to build. You have to think and act faster then the enemies are walking. One guy said picking up coins is a chore. What?! Getting rewarded with coins is a joy in this game which overall looks really great, and the difficulty is just right. I'll be sad when It's over. Though perhaps not quite as original except for in it's art design this one is right up there with spy mouse and jetpack joyride, as the best recent releases. UPDATE: the new update made all my apps fly all over the place so had to rearrange them. What gives? Still a great game but dang it that was inconvenient.

Needs difficulty level switch.... My ENTIRE game progress was erased. I had perfect on most of the levels... Now I have to start over... I finally got to the Christmas levels (not perfectly though) and they are both completely adorable... They are also extremely difficult to pass. I thought there was going to be a setting choice for normal and difficult (like in The Creeps, etc)...Please please let us choose our difficulty for each level... Thank you for the free Christmas level! Now where can I buy a Jelly Defense tshirt and stuffed animal? Hint hint:)

Shiny Visuals, No Substance. I have played all the top tier TD games, this one doesn't stand up after your first 9 maps or so. At first you have enough options along your path to feel like you're in control however in later maps, to make the game feel more difficult the designers chose to give you limited places to place towers. Instead of focusing on strategy at this point you have to focus on knowing the predetermined paths of your enemies so you just have to play the same map a few times to know where to put your towers instead of focusing on your strategy and enjoying the game. Probably worth 3 stars for creativity but using 1 star to bring down the overinflated score from people who played 3 levels and were I pressed with the shiny's.

Worst TD game I've played. Not many towers to choose from for a given enemy. Gameplay is slow. You don't know the path of the attackers so there is a lot of unnecessary guesswork (also because towers have such limited range).

Not for me. I got this after loving and mastering Plants vs. Zombies, thinking this might be a similar thing. Well, it's challenging, but maybe too challenging (but not in a good way). Unlike Plants vs. Zombies, which has a perfect balance between challenge, reward, and advancement, I got stuck with this one and couldn't advance. I got frustrated and gave up. On the positive side, it's a gorgeous looking game and the music is great. I wanted to like it, but I just gave up after a while since I couldn't figure out how to advance. There are the cheat videos, and I checked them out, but it seems like you had to follow them exactly or they wouldn't work (i.e., there's only one exact path to winning, not a number of strategies).

Boring button clicker. Made for sheep

Don't get this game if you want to do anything else with your free time for weeks and weeks. When you aren't able to pass a level, you have to keep trying and feel that you are so close and improving each try. Then when you succeed, you can't wait to try the new skills on the next level. When you finally finish the whole game perfectly, it invites you to try again with a greater level of difficulty. There is no end to the Jelly madness. I make the jelly sounds and everyone knows what I mean. If I only played Jellies while riding the Exercycle ...I would be very fit and very sore.

Cool concept but some levels TOO DIFFICULT!. This is a really beautiful game with great music, BUT...most levels are very hard to beat. The paths are so wide at some points that even though you have towers on both sides they won't shoot far enough to hit the enemies! In addition some towers don't increase shooting range when you upgrade. You NEVER feel like you just crushed a level, rather you feel like you made it through by the skin of your teeth. I'm all for making it challenging, but come on! My 8 year old and I love to play TD games and this is one that not only he can't beat, but neither can I. Add some difficulty settings and increase range on ALL upgraded towers and it gets 5stars, until then buyers be aware!

Below par. Compared to other tower defenses, this one is boring. The towers only vary by color; red or blue. The same goes for the enemies. They very slightly, but are basically all just red or blue jellies. Tower upgrades just make them bigger and more powerful, but looks/attacks the same. Not worth $2.99.

This game (secretly) teaches the art of resource management; the flexibility required to anticipate current and future loads on the system, balanced against what assets are affordable in the short and long terms. It teaches the principles of defense in depth and concentration of fire, including interlocking fields of fire. I admire this game's research and development Tree that (secretly) teaches the value of innovation and the trade offs associated with the costs of R&D. The graphics sold me on this game; without them I probably would not have started playing it. Overall, this is fun and captivating, and it possesses value as a tool for teaching optimization.

I absolutely LOVE this game.. Please make a Jelly Defense 2!!! (I have no other suggestions. The game is perfect as is!

Quit crying this games awesome!. This games awesome! I actually make time to play it...and it ain't too hard where u don't wanna play it but there is enough of a challenge where u'll have to start over. Which to me makes the game better...because then it's not too hard and not too easy. And all these negative comments ignore. The speed is perfect and collecting coins are rewarding and it's fun to setup the screen quick before they attack...that's part of the game! Please add more levels I'm at 48% done or something like that! It took me alot of playing but I wish I was at 4% so I can play more! Thanks for this great game!

Totally addicting!. Jelly Defense is the definitive tower defense game on the App Store! It is fun and quirky with unique sound effects and an unforgettable soundtrack. Not only that, but it has just the right learning curve with a great, enjoyable tutorial system which leads to more and more difficult levels and that "just one more try and I'll get it" feeling that keeps you coming back again and again. You will find that just beating a level isn't enough, you will want to replay it over and over until you discover the strategy that will ace it. Once you have beaten the complete game on the easy setting, you will absolutely want to go back and play it again on the more difficult settings. Jelly Defense is a gem of a game with just the right mix of frustrating difficulty and great repeat playability. Everyone from kids to adults will love this amazing, game that makes thinking and strategy fun! I cannot recommend it highly enough. (I only hope Jelly Defense 2 is in the App Store before I complete the game on the highest difficulty level, otherwise I won't know what to do with my addiction!) This game is by far the best money I have spent in the App Store. Buy it! You will love it, guaranteed!
