I just learned after completing 1/3 of the curriculum that if you download the chapters for offline work
I struggle with learning new languages. I've done this series on and off without any real focus or dedication but every time I go to France, I speak and understand even more..I can't wait to be fluent!
If the app is free, make it more obvious that you have to pay $200 in order to use it before I download it.
I enjoyed the Rosetta Stone app but like all apps it had flaws. For the first lesson I think the pictures are really great and how there taking it step by step so you can learn it easier is really helpful. Sadly after the first level they try CHARGING you $200!!! It says it's free but it's really not....(only for the first lesson) I got it so I can learn more Spanish but I can't all it teaches me is the basics.
I would've given five stars but when I saw family share was available, i thought that purchasing the Spanish lesson would be available on my husbands and children's iphone/iPads as well so I purchased for $199. Well come to find out, you only can share the free demo but will actually have to pay another $199. As a family of 5 (3 children under 7), I was very unhappy with this. I would have to pay $800 to allow my family to participate being as though we share the same bank account. It would be nice if they sold the lessons individually and allowed family share so that a family could learn Spanish (or whatever the chosen language) together for $199.
Great way to learn new languages you've always wanted to learn 💙
I like the app it's good But after the first lesson I have to pay to learn like 3% more words of a language. This makes me upset, I just want to learn a language for free
Lessons don't load even if downloaded.
So today I noticed that I had $79 deducted from my account. I never received any notice about this.
I like this app a lot! It really focuses on pronunciation. It uses pictures in a way that you must infer exactly what words mean, which I actually think enhances the learning experience. However, use the free lessons, and don't pay. There are plenty of perfectly good free language apps.

Large amount of material and voice recognition practice is cool
The sync makes it easy to work on my desktop at home and my iPad when traveling since it tracks my progress. As a language learning tool, RS has been enormously helpful for my Portuguese and for refreshing my German. No complaints here
This is the next logical step after Duolingo. I just started, and I absolutely feel I am getting my money's worth. I highly recommend this app to anyone who seriously wants to learn a new language.
I had a great time and I am now awesome at Spanish
Easy and productive, love it!
I like this app it helps a lot
I logged into my account and when I hit continue to resume my previos lesson nothing happens. When I try to start a new lesson nothing happens. On my laptop it works just fine
With a trip to China in the fall, what I wanted was an exposure to Mandarin- just enough to know the basics. And, as usual, RS does not disappoint. For my travels, I have learned a bit of Spanish, Swahili, Dutch and Turkish using RS. I have found RS easy to use and very entertaining. My intention has never been mastery - just enough to learn how this particular language is different from English - or how similar it is while retaining unique differences. A word window into another culture.
I started this many years ago and just downloaded the new version. It's really great. I wouldn't say "easy", because learning a new language is hard, but it is very well done. The lessons are enjoyable and easy to manage on a computer or phone. They are also long enough to feel you accomplished something and short enough to not be overwhelming.
