i bout it. it cost $10.00 more than it was supposed to. down loaded on wifi. CANNOT GET TO WORK!!!!! what's going on???? .i want my $60.00 back.
I had a problem while testing out this app on the road. I took a few turns different than instructed and the app tried recalculating for a while then errored out with not enough memory. At home, I saw that I had a bunch of apps open, so I closed all of them and tried to navigate to "home". Same problem!! It could not navigate me to my current location without running out of memory.
App used to be great. I updated a few months ago and now keeps freezing or searching for satellite connection. If I was gonna be lost on the road, let me do it on my own. What a disappointment!!! Despite several bad reviews you read here, you would think Garmin would fix issues with newer update. Save your money and download Waze for free and it works.
Need update on street
Update: with the latest IOS 10 release, the app doesn't recognize my favorites. The iCloud still shows the data, but all of my favorites saved over the last several years are unavailable in the app. Absolutely horrible. Initially, IOS 10 killed the Garmin app. This new Garmin release gets things going again. You do have to delete the old program and reload. Be sure you backup data to iCloud. It takes about 30 minutes to get everything re-downloaded. I think it's worth it as I prefer this over Waze and other apps. Waze let's Tom Dick and Harry post alerts and on using it while Garmin was down, only 15% of their alerts were accurate. I see several negative posts, but this is working for me. UPDATE: Garmin issued its IOS release update and it fixed everything. I'm back on the Garmin bandwagon as I can navigate without a data connection on idevices. It was a painful transition and I wish I knew if it was Apple or Garmin at the root cause. Of late, it appears Apple isn't giving developers information needed.
Latest update fixed most issues but I was expecting more. Aside from the new app icon and fixed graphics rendering, it's the same dated UI. Please we deserve something better than this!
I grabbed this gps app when it was first released. While there have been some annoyances, the gps has never gotten me lost and the developers keep updating it even with all of the negative reviews. This app deserves praise because it works and it is still updated when necessary. Thank you for not removing this app, it has been my go to gps since I grabbed it.
No new features in a long time. How about the option to pick a different route? Maybe an Apple Watch app? Or even something that hasn't been thought of yet?
It looks like the only way to add Canada is to buy the N America version. I've looked for an in app purchase to add Canada. Not there. Not very happy right now.
Bought this app with I got a new 4s. Worked great on 4s, then 5s, then 6, now 7+. I've never had an issue with this map app, which I like because it doesn't eat away at my data plan. I always wait a few months before upgrading to the newest version before upgrading. That's worked for me.
The app is choppy on bluetooth
After the latest update the app does not stay on screen more than a minute. Can't be used if I can't see it. I have the traffic subscription.
This app worked very well at first, but doesn't work after each update to IOS. It takes one or three Fixes by Garmin before it will work, until the next update then the cycle starts again. It shuts off after a minute or two now, every minute or two. Garmin needs to get their PAID App fixed and keep up with it.
After spending $70 (basic app plus traffic), on first use it crashed twice before I stopped using it. Want to ask for my money back!!!!
This WAS my favorite Nav App but since update crashes in the middle of trips and wiped out all my favorites when I tried the usual uninstall and try again fix - that didn't even solve the crashing problem. Now forced to use Google maps. Ugh!
App keeps crashing since iSO 10.
The app constantly crashes and is now useless. Reinstalled as suggested but still does not work.
after the last update i lost all my maps and i have tried several times to download the 2+ gigs of maps etc... and it continues to fail. I AM DONE WITH THIS APP!!!
I have always Garmin products to be superb having bought their earliest versions of GPSs. I can't say the same for their iphone app which i originally purchased several years ago and recently upgraded to the latest iteration. First it is difficult to download the maps because every time phone goes into "sleep" mode and I reenter the map, it starts all over. I did manage to finally download it successfully. When i picked a simple route to office it kept crashing. Further it could not find my address which other apps easily found. Third it used car audio system but most of the verbal direction was cutoff or inaudible. Very disappointing. I am going to hang in there hoping they will correct these glitches as i want it because it does not require downloading maps in non cell areas. I also spent 19.99 for the traffic but if course can't use that.
When Traffic option is ON, GARMIN crashes iPhone SE
