Don't like the new version. This one has too many bells and whistles!! The old version played behind my music; this plays over it, thus lowering my music volume.. Whatever happened to KISS (Keep It Simple Stu...)

Great app for TACFIT. Use it on my regular training for tacfit, and does all I need. Count reps, have all 6 protocols, tell me when to rest... It does everything!

OK, but needs some improvements. I've been doing TacFit programs for a couple of years now and this App doesn't really meet the standards. It's a decent timer, but really needs some improvements. For instance: Missing the Mass Assault protocol. The 4/1x4 protocol gives no cues during the 4 minutes. What if you're doing the 8 exercises for 30 seconds? (especially if you need to switch sides at 15 seconds?) Main screen should show something other than "Protocol 1", "Protocol 2", etc. How about "EMOTM"? The ability to edit or add timers would help alleviate some of these issues. I do realize this is only .99, but Gymboss was better for free (although it is currently broke for iOS5 which they claim they're fixing, but it seems to be a problem for them.) There are now other editable timers out there that will likely serve your purpose better.

Great timer for TacFit. This app will keep me from packing my other timer on trips. the only thing missing is a 30/30 for the warm ups and cool downs from the other TacFit progrms

Missing Mass Assault protocol. It's missing the 35/0x6+60 protocol used in Mass Assault. Like another reviewer has said, it would be nice to be able to change the alert sounds. Being able to choose a song from my IPod to play between the alerts would make this a 5 star app

Great App. Great for TACFIT training

TACFIT Timer is a great tool. Ideally suited for the TACFIT 26 program, it works equally well with TACFIT Commando, TACFIT Warrior, and TACFIT Firefighter. Does not really have the options to run a timer for TACFIT Mass Assault or TACFIT Kettlebell Spetsnaz. A great deal at .99$ The TACFIT programs are training protocols that transform your movement potential, strength, endurance, emotional stability under pressure, and recovery from tactical operations. Would get 5 stars if it had a 20 minute 20/10+1 timer and customized alerts.

Please fix some timers. The 30x30 5 4 and maybe another two don’t count correctly. It stops at four exercises. Annoying. I love this app but …

Perfect for tacfit workouts. This timer includes all the tacfit protocol timers set and ready to go. Has a 5 second countdown buzzer, a bell halfway through the intervals, and built in timer to monitor heart rate and recovery. Awesome!

Needs a "Next Exercise" button.. This is a great app, however, it would be nice to be able to skip to the next exercise. If I do 3 rounds per exercise, it works fine, but, if I want to do 4 rounds, I have to basically leave and restart the app. The TacFit program is an awesome and a challenging program, but I think that feature would make it that much better for those who are still starting out.

Room for improvement. It's a really good timer, great for Tac Fit. It would be nice if you could customize some of the sounds used for the alerts. Also having the ability to NOT have some of the alerts such as the 5 second countdowns. I've been doing TF for a while and after doing Tabata's over a long period of time have found I don't really need a timer form the 10 second rest periods so having the ability to kill those loud knocks would be nice. Overall you can't go wrong for $.99

music should be configurable, not mandatory. I use this timer with a wide variety of clients and the music is not appropriate for all of them. Please update the app so it's possible to turn the music off.

Love the new look and timer overall. This is a great timer for TACFIT programs & even for any other program. Has a little learning curve for the custom timers, would love to see a “help” tab with instructions in the future. Would fit nicely on the splash page. Overall happy with the new look and improvements!

Doesn’t work. Great that it has all the protocols but the app doesn’t work properly. It always crashes when you open a timer and won’t close.

Disappointing update. I use the tabata timer quite a bit with my clients and this update has only made it worse. Especially at the end of the 8th round there is no definitive end to the round!

N/A. Great timer for anyone doing any tacit CST protocol.

Works for TACFIT but needs some work. This app has some key-features which can't be found on most timer-applications out there; the ability to track performance progress in RPE, RPT and Heart-Rate is a major one - you can even export a report in .txt to upload your performance and keep records but, you can only access this if you complete the circuit or "protocol" you've selected (which is no accident I'm sure). This application does need some work though; for starters, you cannot use this app while the phone's screen is locked which means, if you plan on plugging in your earphones, blast out tunes and keep in time with your workout - better come up with another plan. In the same avenue, there is no independent volume control for the timer - the output you get is equal to the general output of the phone which means, again if you plan on playing music and using this app, you have to make due with the default volume mix of the app. Tracking your score is all there, but you cannot enter the results of an exercise set after the set has come and gone; this may be a weakness on my party but in a 30 or 60 recovery interval, I can't always enter all my results, not to mention that I do really want to slobber my phone up with sweat. Using the score keeping is also not very intuitive and requires practice and skill. Finally, I will add this as I know how popular this type of feature can be, even though I know I wouldn't use it; Facebook status updates auto posting results - even if it's just the time spent doing TACFIT. I'm sure the motivational benefits of such a feature would be of great help to many.
