Moo, Ba, La La La. I am very frustrated and disappointed in this application. It is defective and has no sound track. I have tried various ways to try to find the volume, but it is not working. I warn you not to waste your money. Hopefully someone will read this and reimburse what I paid for it. This is a huge problem when purchasing applications, that there is no recourse for returning something that is unacceptable. It is also disappointing that there is only one book for the cost. A huge rip off.

No Sound. I downloaded the app and there is no sound at all. I am super bummed as I think my son would like this. I downloaded the bundle of 5 books and will be asking Apple for my money back as this app does not live up to what was advertised. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Love the Boynton apps!. These books are among my kids' favs, and now they love the apps, too! They love to figure out how things go on each page. FYI - you don't just tap on the pics, some you slide, some you pull back on, etc. Try it on the dog and cat page. It's not fair to rate the app low because you can't figure out how to use it correctly.

Love it, but.... All of a sudden this morning, the animals stopped making noise this morning. They appeared to still be animated but we couldn't hear them, despite the fact that we could hear the music and narration. My daughter absolutely loves the book so we have to have a working copy. I'm bummed I had to pay twice for it.

a dog does not say ......... I agree with the review that is having a hard time with the dog and cat sounds. My grandchildren are going to be so disappointed when we get to that page. Please fix those two sounds and this will be a great app. thanks

Awesome app. This is a great app for my 13 month old who loves this book as well as all of Boynton's others. You have to slide the cats and dogs on the bow wow wow page. There are lots of fun little hidden tricks. I have fun with it too!

HGC. I think the book is adorable. I’m not sure that it works correctly. Got to the middle of the book where the dogs now wow and Cates meow. And no sound effects. Just a grinding noise.

Wonderful!. So much fun and really creative. It makes everyone in the family chuckle.

There is no glitch. Some have posted about a glitch on the dogs and cats page. There is no glitch. Sling shot the animals for the to work (slide to the left and then right). This is so cute. My only complaint is that I LOVE the narrator from the other book -The Goodnight Book- and I partially bought this app because of his voice. I was disappointed when I realized he was not narrating this one. Please bring him back! His voice is so relaxing. I'd buy anything he narrates! Thanks!

No sound.. Same issue as others. The sound no longer works on these and I spent $6.99 on them. Totally disappointed. They were great when they did work. Great interactive for toddlers. Can you fix?

Another Winner from Loud Crow!!. The folks at Loud Crow know how to make engaging apps for kids. This is my favorite Boynton book and the app perfectly complimented the book! It takes bedtime stories to another level. My 2 year old grandson loves this app and I think the cow is his fav. He keeps going back to make it moo... :). Good job on another great app!

One of the better early reader apps. My 14 month old really enjoys this app. She can't work all of the animations yet, but we have run 'reading' it together. I thought one of the pages was broken, the one with the dogs chasing the cats, but it just works differently than the other pages (you have to 'pull' the animals on this page rather than just tapping). I anticipate that when she gets a little older she will enjoy discovering all the hidden animations - like the baby pig who appears only when tapping the word 'night'. Overall a good app, even for younger kids.

Awesome adaptation!. My 18 month old loves books. This is perfect to keep her quietly entertained and allow her some reading time.

Unbelievable. Looks cute but no sound. Unbelievable that reviews from a tear ago say same thing and hasn’t been fixed.

Mo, baa, la a hit at our house. From youngest to oldest, loved this interactive book at or house. (the youngest is 57, the oldest 83.) We also love Night-night. If you are undecided about this type of book, don't be. They are adorable and worth the money.

Ruined by update. I loved this — and more importantly, so did my daughter— until I updated the app and the sound stopped working.

Moo, Baa, La,la,la. Awesome! I had planned to buy these books and noticed this app recommended by a speech- language pathologist. I am also an SLP and have been building my literacy library for early childhood kiddos. I love the interactive characters, having the choice for The book to be narrated. I am excited to use it in therapy! Super!

Love the book, love the app!. This app is so much fun for kids and the adults who read the book with them! We have the board book version as well, and every time we read that one my son asks why the pictures don't move or make the sounds. So fun! Definitely a great purchase.

My Sons Love It. Both my 2 year old & my 8 month old really enjoyed this book. Sandra Boynton books are their favorites so were very excited to see this one on the iPad. Now if we can get Horns to Toes we will be in eBook app heaven!!! This really brings the books alive for them and they love all the sounds and movements.

Love It!. This book is super cute. The interactive aspects are great and clever. Although the book is not intended for his age, my 7 month old son loves this book. He is a bit too young to understand the content, but he has figured out that the animals make noises when he "grabs" at them. His favorite page is the one with the ducks. I also have "The Going to Bed Book" app, but he does not appreciate it, as the interactive parts require a bit more coordination and understanding.

Great adaptation of a Boynton classic!. Our 20 month old daughter was already a huge fan of the board book version of this classic from Sandra Boynton, to say that she "read" it a million times is barely an exaggeration. Although very familiar with the book she had a blast rediscovering her love for it as a result of the interactive nature of this version! It was wonderful watching her explore the pages, tapping on objects and characters, and getting rewarded by whimsical sounds and reactions. Kudos to the developer and to Sandra for their faithful reproduction of the original experience of reading this book, while also adding great interactivity as well! I would love to see more of Sandra's books adapted for the iPad!!

Disappointed. We love reading this board book so I was excited to find the app. Disappointed! The classical style music and monotone reading took all of the fun out of it. Waste of $2.99

Love It!. This is an excellent re-imagining of the actual book. So interactive and full of fun surprises for kids and adults alike. Now whenever we read the actual book my 18-month-old keeps tapping the pages waiting for something cool to happen.

So adorable.. My husband and I both use these. iPhone 6 Plus and 7 plus. Never have issues except 1-2 times if my phone had been on vibrate when I went into app there wouldn’t be sound. Turn vibrate off, exit app and go back and it’s perfect. My children love these. 2 and 3 and both with autism. When my son, 2, is having meltdowns sometimes the sound of this book is all that’ll bring him out of it. Works on his fine motor skills too.

Whole series is fantastic - toddlers. My 2-yr old son has about 40 ipad things to choose from and has loved these Boynton apps every day for the past year (already!?!). He loves moo-bah the best with barnyard dance a close 2nd. He has the hard books and could care less about the narration - he just loves the fantastic interaction - perhaps the best you will find in early kids books! (Who knows... Maybe someday he will realize the story is being read to him and it may be like getting the book all over again!). I just found the one with the chicken and the colored clothes today and didn't even flinch at the cost. Absolutely worth it from 18mos to 3 years or more.

The dogs and cats page, NOT a glitch.... To make the dogs and cats bark or meow, you have to MOVE them with your finger to the left and they "run" off screen. You don't just simply touch them. It even reads so in the description of this app, "Slingshot the running cats away from the barking dogs." I hope this helps everyone "experiencing" problems.

La la la. We have both the book and the app of several of Sandra's books. The added interactive features give just the right amount of toddler fun. Yes a bit expensive, but overall, worth more than having the baby sit and learn how to play angry birds.

Wonderful rendition of great books. I read the board books to my older girls when they were little, and these digital versions have keep the quality while adding some fun that stays true to the feel of the books.

Love It!. I bought this book to try because it is our daughter's favorite, and now I would like the other Boynton books. Is there a way to complete the collection at a price the way you can in iTunes like complete my album?

Thank you!. My 2 year old grandson couldn't sit still long enough to "read" a book until I discovered Sandra Boynton's Moo Baa app! I can't wait to surprise him with the remaining books tomorrow! The quality of the animation and noises is wonderful! Well worth buying!

Great interactive book. This is a great buy, especially if you have the board book. My boys love how the animals come to life. The have fun figuring out the little tricks that the animals do, like the dogs running across the page. Can't wait for more of her books to be released!

Glitch. I would've given this 5 stars, but for the glitch about halfway through the app, where the dog is chasing the cat. There's no sound on these two pages, only a dull click when you touch either animal.

Love it - sound is in settings. No sound that users reported is due to “soft mute” in the devices. Google it or if in iPad, open a control tray from top right corner and tap a “bell button” to unmute. App's low reviews are because of the sound lost due to device settings, which is a shame! It’s a wonderful fun app to play with. We have several Sandra Boyton’s book that my 3-year-old daughter loves, so I downloaded all 4 book for the plane. It’s so much fun, the books came alive.

Love it!!!. My daughter is 3 and autistic. Up until this point, she has rarely spoken - we bought this app as it's one of her favorite bedtime books. The other day, she opened the book (the REAL book) and read it to me...cover to cover. Even if the narration isn't the most "exciting" - this app gave me the best gift any mother could ask for!!! Best interactive book we've had. LOVE IT!!!!

Bundle. Downloaded bundle, but no sound, waste of money, there is no support. Don’t buy. Downloaded Hippo book and it worked great. Not sure the problem but there does not appear to be a fix so if you buy it you are stuck.

My daughters favorite book. This one of my daughters first and favorite books. The board book copy we have has been taped back together with packing tape more than once. So when I saw this book I had to get it. It is cute and she loves tapping on the animals to hear the sounds and to see what they will do. The only issue I have is it is hard to turn the pages. I realize my daughter is only 2 1/2 and you are going for that real book feel but it would be nice if it also had an option to turn the pages using arrows at the bottom of the screen like many of the other children's books we have downloaded. Looking forward to more books by this author and hopefully a update for this one.

sound issue but great book. Soft mute must be turned off for the sound to work on my phone which means putting my phone off vibrate. This makes no sense for such an app and this is for the developpers to fix. Hence the bad rating. Appart from that, my son really loves the book and loves this app. It's a really great and fun app for kids.

Bummer. We love Sandra's books paper and digital, but I wish they had a Spanish option. Many apps offer this and it's great for bilingual parents teaching their little ones Spanish and English. You would get even more buying customers if you did this.

Outstanding, as always!!. ...my little granddaughter will love this one, in particular, when we get to the page with the horse going, "neigh" ...she LOVES horses and I'm sure she will spend an inordinate amount of time making the horse go "NEIGH"!!

Just okay. The narration is bland (and honestly a bit annoying). If you can tolerate the voice the graphics are cute and classic Boynton. I feel like there could have been more interactive play built in, but my kids still enjoy it. Better suited for my 20 month toddlers than my 4 year old (it doesn't offer enough to keep her interested--she'd rather flip the paper version and read to herself).

No sound. I just downloaded the bundle and only one title plays sounds when I select that it be read versus me reading myself. Bummed because these are our favorite books for both my boys through the years and the interactive features are great. I didn’t see anywhere for troubleshooting.

No sound. Sounds stopped working on this app after a few months. Troubleshooting suggestions on the website are way out of date. Until this is fixed, do not purchase.

Amazing book!!!. This Sandra Boyton book is wonderfully done. My son loves the original board book, "The Going To Bed Book", board book and both of these interactive books. I would give them both 10 stars if possible!

Great. Bought it for my smaller grandchildren. I love every bit of it except the one page that doesn't work correctly. Fix that and my rating will go to 5 stars.

Love the book!. Love the book and love the app. The only problem is the sound does not work sometimes in some of these book apps for these series. It does not matter if I use the app on my iPad, iPhone 5c or old iPhone 4, that I use for the grandkids. However, if I attach a set of earplugs to the device(s) the sound will play for the book app. Not sure why this is the case.

Lovely!. This is gorgeous. And the bow wow wow & meow noises do work -- there's just a trick to it. The hidden animals are a hoot!

We both love it. At first I was disappointed because there was no sound but I google what to do and realized that my mute button was on. Now there is wonderful sound! So much fun!

Cute but somewhat underwhelming..... I eagerly bought this for my daughter after first buying the Going to Bed book app which I was really impressed with. Perhaps this particular book and illustrations don't lend themselves as well to the more unique and delightful interactivity found in Going to Bed but I did expect more overall. A classic Sandra Boynton story nonetheless.

A classic, I love it. I bought the hard copy a long time ago. If you love Sandra's books you will love this. Flawless design and execution. A Boynton best.

PERFECT!. Terrific book. It's pretty much perfect. No inbook or cover page ads like other books. The annimations were cute. I have listened to my wife read this book to my child probably 50 times so it was a bit odd to hear the male narrator read it in a completely different style. But I can't fault them for that. Perhaps they could update the book to allow for multiple narration choices given how short it is. They really should contact my wife because her version is exceptional. I highly recommend this little book. Perfect for babies under 1 year old. My wife has been reading this to my son from about 3 months to his current 8 months and it never gets old for her or him. :) I NOTE that some other reviewers say that the various sounds don't work. That's not true. It's just not immediately obvious what you have to do. You don't just poke the cats and dogs for instance. You have to slide them left and right. It takes some trial and error to figure out how to make all the sounds. And, in my case, the book gave me a hint after a minute or so. I got all the sounds to work.

Kid hit. I like Sandra Boyton in general and this title is one of our favorites. My two kids LOVE this. My one year old gets ridiculously excited -especially at the dog sounds- but there's lots to keep my 3.5 year old entertained. This is the first iPad book we've bought so I have no point of comparison but it's great. We also got The Going To Bed Book and we like it but, in my opinion, this one is better. And all the sound effects and visual actions worked in ours.

So excited about this! Wish it all worked.. I can't tell you how excited I was to see this. They did a great job with it, but the sound effects on the "Bow wow wow" and "meow" page don't work. Neither do a few of the animal sounds on the last page. I'm pretty sad about that, but hopefully they'll fix it soon. I also would have thought a woman would have narrated...so it sounds weird to me to hear a man reading it. Other than those broken animal sounds, I love it. Eagerly anticipating the next book!

Disappointed. I just bought this app and there's no volume I've tried everything, was wondering did anyone else have this problem? And is there anyway in fixing it?

It's good. I am a big fan of Sandra Boynton and as a teacher I enjoy the simplicity of her books with the cheery illustrations. The iPad books bring the illustrations to life. Touching them sometimes only gives you an "ouf" or sometimes fills the screen with shoes or socks, depending on the book. Get all three, they are all good! Can't wait to try them with my special needs students in September! Just remember, touch everything, you may be surprised what it does. :)

Love this book but.... Let me say right away, that my daughter and I really enjoyed this book. We've read it many times now, she loves the singing pigs! So, as a parent, this one is a five star book. However, as an English language teacher who loves to read to kids and wants to have this book displayed on a large screen TV/smart board I am disappointed. So far, I have had no luck getting it to show up on a screen. Since teachers regularly read books to students, and I read these to my ESL students, having this displayable on a large screen would be perfect! It would be great if all the app books had the video out ability for home and school use! Great book, never the less! We preferred this book but both are good buys.

Going to bed book was better. Great app, but the going to bed book was the superior one here. I don't know who or what to blame here, except maybe just that the content doesn't lend itself to interaction as well. Still, a great book and good buy.

A good time. My one year old really enjoys this book. It isn't quite as dynamic as The Going to Bed Book, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I can't wait for more Boynton books to arrive.

No audio. The app is supposed to read the book aloud and interest the children when they click on the animals and they make noises; without sound, it's useless. I wish I'd believed the other reviewers on this one before I bought it.

Some pages dont work. The page that says, "some other dogs go bow wow wow" and "cats and kittens go meow" have a serious flaw. The animals do not make any sounds. Please fix and five stars.

Just open the actual book. A little disappointed. My son is more excited with the animation of my voice when I read the book, than the animations and sounds from this app. Not worth the $ paid.

Not worth $.99. The narrator is bland at best with no personality in the read. It would be worth more if you were able to record yourself reading. This kids would rather flip through the real book than listen to "the big guy read" it.

Great book but app needs fixing. My daughter loves this book! At 16 months she recites it by heart. Decided to download the app. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have noted, the pages with dogs and kittens is nonfunctional. Please remedy this so that we can enjoy this app that was not free!

Frustrated parent. After seeing this app at a friends house we had to get it. Our iPad is running the new OS and the sound will not work. We've tried everything, the app volume, iPad volume, restart..nothing. What a waste of money.

Great App for a family favorite book. This book has been my kid's favorite. Allowing a parent to record their voice for the narration would make this app AMAZING!

14 Month Old's Favorite. My son refers to it as La la la. He loves it. We use the narrator constantly. This book and the going to bed book are part of the nightly routine.
