Disappointed but would go back. I am a Professional Photographer and I had booked two nights stay because of the Vintage Trailer Show in Buellton. This was my 1st year covering this Event and was told the Saturday was the Day with all the Fun. I booked the two nights knowing that i would have an Awesome Time. A week before the Event I had to cancel my Saturday night Reservation due to another two events that I had to cover Saturday Morning in Anahiem and Saturday Evening in Devore that would finish at 10:30pm so I lnew that i couldn’t stay the 2nd Night. I tried to cancel thru the Hotel and thru Expedia. The Hotel was nasty to me when i told them i needed to check out Saturday Morning and Expedia was no help either. I was charged for both Nights plus an extra two Service charges and i left at 5:15 Saturday Morning just to makenit to my Anaheim Event Saturday Morning after taking over 1800 Photos in Buellton on Friday at the Vintage Teailer Show and another 200 Photos at the Mendalson Museum. I did like the room and the price but too bad i stayed for one night got charged for two night plus Sevice Charges

Horrible service. I booked 3 flights through this company and spent 2 hours on the phone to do so. Then when I log on to the app it only shows two of the three flights I paid for . At that point I called customer service to see what is going on and they informed me that my information was sent to a different email address that they don’t have access to . Then I asked if they could go and change it to put my information so I don’t have to worry about my information being out there in the crazy cyber world that we are in today. Were people’s information is being stolen left and right . These people had the audacity to tell me that there is nothing ANYONE in their company can do for me so basically I just have to deal with my information being out there in someone’s email address that only God know who has access to and can do whatever they want with my information and I probably will not find out until it’s to late . this was all caused by a glitch in there system, so my real question is what other types of glitches are in there system that is sending there customer information around . How secure can this big company be if this is the case . How can you care for your customer if you have systems that “will not allow you to do so” I would never book another flight though this so called company !! This is just ridiculous!!

Liars and cheats. This is the only forum I see to speak about an experience with Expedia. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, buyer beware. Purchase direct from the airline. Plenty of 5-star plant-reviews here as well I suspect. Expedia changed my flight, no reason, said the airline did it. They gave me no updates and could not give me a firm date when they say they notified me. Customer service is in India or Pakistan and you’ll be on hold for 1.5-2 hours. At one point she has gall to tell me I was notified at 1:20AM. It is 2-something in the morning and I’ve been on hold since 12AM. I check my email, it’s a confirmation of my trip with the new times as if I JUST purchased it. No old times and confirming a change. Had I not looked up my flight, assuming I had 20 hours left until check in, I would have missed my flight. Instead, I’m up all night trying to remedy this with no solution, scrambling to find work coverage and finish packing. So they say it was the airlines fault, airline says it’s Expedia. Not the first time. I’m done booking through agencies like this. You really don’t save anything price wise through these services Find the ticket you want and book through the airline. If you want the worst room a hotel won’t give to normal customers, use Expedia or a middleman ap. Better to cut them out of the picture.

Frustrating experience because of Expedia!. I made 2 reservations at The Galt House in Louisville. I received confirmation on both reservations. I thought everything was set and would be simple. Although the folks at the Galt House were very nice and tried to be helpful, they kept telling me that I didn’t have any reservations. After looking at my confirmations and the 4th person (I believe the manager) trying to help me, she finally said that she would go ahead and put us in some rooms. Although I had paid Expedia for the rooms, after looking at my credit card online transactions, I was being charged an additional $240 at one time and then and additional $190 later in the night. When I addressed the issue with the front desk the next morning, the attendant said that she didn’t see that I had made any payment at all. I later spoke to the manager again and although the $240 had been reversed, I still had the charge for $190 pending. She did say that the hotel had called Expedia and then gave me a receipt for a credit of $190, it’s still pending on my transaction list. I’m going to give it another day and see what happens. I can honestly say that the manager did everything she could to correct a problem caused by Expedia. Not sure that I would feel safe in using Expedia again. I’m back home now but still dealing with this frustrating experience that is still causing me aggravation. We’ll see if it gets resolved today.

More about the company than the app…. Today I went to book a ticket that I was previously told I had a credit for and was later told that because I didn’t cancel the flight prior to departure even though I was trying to rebook through the app that after said “credit” i would still have to pay more for the particular ticket than I would have paid purchasing it online… this company does everything it can to scam you out of your money if you don’t make it to your reservation… and then they make it difficult to actually speaks to anyone that’s helpful… first your put on with a virtual agent then after having to persistently ask for an agent you have to speak to someone online… but they make it a challenge to call and speak with anyone… then when you do your told things like what I was told… I went a whole Year not using the app and this company and when I logged in to check on something that I thought was there… there is no help anyway… thanks anyway Expedia… time to redelete this app… and not use this company not that anyone at the company cares about it anyway…

Disappointed. I have no complaints about Expedia. But I am dissatisfied with the Showboat. Never was it said that the entire place is under construction. The parking garage was completely closed. You have to park in an outside parking lot and pay 20 a day. The nice part of my stay was the room had an incredible view from the bedroom sliding doors to a balcony. Sunrise and sunset was beautiful. But no people walking around it seemed empty. No restaurants or stores were open. The casino was completely closed. I had to go to another casino to Gamble and go to eat. There should of been a disclaimer about the situation in the construction going on. It wasn’t reduced in price as the prices were the same at other places. The door has issues and didn’t always shut by itself. I had to play around with it to make sure the door was locked each time. I have stayed here before with no issues so I’m assuming this was just due to the renovations going on but it should of been known to me what I would be dealing with so I could of just booked my stay somewhere else.

Jason. I was very pleased with Expedia's service personal when we had the flight glitch in Jan 2023 I was rerouted to the Denver airport in which I had just missed my flight to Munich. I had booked through Expedia a United airlines flight when I missed my flight I stood in line for 3 hours only to be told by agent that I had booked through a 3rd party and that they couldn’t help me. The United agent there however went beyond and was able to get me a hotel room and suggested that I call Expedia in which I did and the lady from Expedia explained that she would try and help me but it would take some time in which she said she would call me back. Unfortunately I was so tired that I fell a sleep it was 2:00am and didn’t hear my phone. She then called me back at 7:00am and said she had taken care of everything and had sent me an email to confirm my flight to Munich. I thanked her and told her that the service she did was unheard of in this day and age. She proceeded to tell me that she had promised to let me know something and when I didn’t answer assumed I had fallen a sleep and she wanted to hold to her promise of calling me back. But this is the kind of customer service need today. Thank you Expedia.

Don’t book they just want your money!. Expedia is possibly the worse to book a flight with. We paid two tickets including seating AND checked bags. I call customer service since on my email confirmation I was not showing any details about my seating as well as my checked bags. I called the first rep told me that I had not paid for them that I had to pay for them through the airline. I then requested to speak with a supervisor and I was advised I would get a call back in 15 min. I then wait one hour and call back and then finally get transferred to a supervisor who kept placing me on very long holds which resulted one hour on the phone. Finally the supervisor then tells me that they have no record of me paying for the checked bags AND that they don’t offer to purchase checked bags or choose seats on their app. I told him that they do because I myself purchased the seats as well as the checked bags through them and my total balance was sky rocket high !! The supervisor does NOTHING to try and help me with this issue. I have seen on previous reviews where they have also been over charged as well. I guess it was also my fault for not checking the reviews. But to end this review DO NOT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA!!! They change the price way higher and then claim that they aren’t showing nothing in their system.

Customer service. I recently booked a trip through Expedia, I travelled from Grand Cayman to Thailand then 3 days before my return found out that Emirate airlines had cancelled the flights to return me to my home. Expedia did nothing to assist with my problems with returning home instead I paid them an additional $3500 usd for new flights to get home and made the request for my money to be refunded for the cancelled flights FYI I had also paid Expedia for flight insurance for my trip. I have now been home for 4 weeks Expedia have now told me I won’t be getting any refund they also refuse to reply to any of my emails their chat support constantly tells you they don’t have any agents available. I have also tried calling several times being put on hold for 2 hours each time and having to hang up as my mobile phone is about to explode because of the heat. I honestly believe that due the circumstances we currently find ourselves in that not too many people are currently booking flights and hotels which means Expedia staff can’t possibly be that busy and are blissfully ignoring their responsibilities to their customers. Barry McKenzie (very unsatisfied customer)

Warning!!!. Be really careful and think before using Expedia to book something, I planned and booked a whole trip with Expedia spending around $10,000 between flights, hotels and activities, one of the days I arrived to Rome and I went to check my email confirmation to call the hotel/property phone number and the answer that they where not partnered with Expedia anymore so I spent another 4 hours!!! Talking to their representatives repeating the information over and over again, talked to supervisors, managers and they allocation department which where trying to charge me for another place!!! I keep calling and calling them and nobody helped! The call keep failing or disconnecting, I don't know if they do it to get out of the hook but they never returned the call that obviously they have my phone number on file, so I ended walking at 1 in the morning with my family looking for another place to sleep with no battery in my phone to call them again after 4 hours with them! Also when you reserve a rental car Do Not Use their insurance because when you get to the rental place the companies say they don’t accept Expedia insurance and Expedia won’t reimburse for what you paid of their insurance!

Horrible customer service. My family has been a customer with you for years and now that I want make an extension on my trip they start to act sloppy and inconsistent. I called you today at roughly 6:20 pm est. and finished our call at 7:00pm est. this call ended in me wanting to talk to a supervisor but was told I had to get a call back because there were non available at that moment. This was perfectly okay with we especially because they said I would be getting a call that same night. But it is now 12:18 pm est. and I have not received a call back from you I have been left aggravative and dissatisfied with your customer care. To add on top of the aggregation that your representatives and supervisors have left me with is now my lack of trust. I was also on the phone with the supervisor last week and as I was gonna make the change to my trip they stopped me and kept saying that they strongly suggest that I wait to make this change as they predict that within the next few days after that phone call there will be price drops. As I tried to go on with my change they kept insisting even more. With this I was left with much higher prices and your poor ability to satisfy the customer. I don’t know how I would feel booking with you guys any longer.

App cancelled $3,000 reservation, no refund. I use Expedia pretty often, about once a month on average. I’m in a long-distance marriage because of my military deployment schedule. This month, my wife and I were finally going on our long overdue honeymoon (6 years), but the DoD has put out travel restrictions that would allow that to happen. So I went on the Expedia app to cancel/change my reservation. I managed to cancel my flights, but I didn’t cancel my hotel because there was no refund option or an option to change my reservation. At that point I was okay with just canceling my flight and contacting Expedia to see what I could do about my hotel reservation. But as get off the app and am about to make the call to Expedia, I receive multiple emails regarding my cancellations. To my surprise, the hotel was also cancelled. This was a $3,000 resort in Aruba. I proceed to call customer service, and waited on hold for over an hour, then the call just dropped out of nowhere. Luckily, I went online earlier to schedule Expedia customer service to call me. When they did, I could hardly communicate with the agent because it seemed as if English was not their native language. The agent proceeded to transfer me to another person to help then they hung up on me. I cannot afford another $3,000 for a vacation and now I cannot take my wife on the honeymoon I promised her. This will definitely be the last time I use Expedia or any of its sister companies.

DO NOT trust what you see on pictures.. We spent last weekend at Hilton Fortlauderdale Marina. We booked a high floor water view room which was supposedly facing the pool and the marina area according to the picture on EXPEDIA. We paid double price than a standard room to get this one because we liked the view it supposedly had. We asked the front desk manager to change our room since it was NOT what we bought. She said it was a “high floor water view room” and they were not able to change it because the hotel was completely booked and they had no more availability. I called EXPEDIA and sent them pictures of my balcony view with was NOTHING to do with the ones EXPEDIA has on their website. They took 3 days to give me an answer and the best they can do is a $25 bonus 😒 Are you serious man? I paid 2 times the prices of a standard room because we wanted to have the SAME VIEW you advertise NOT for a crappie view facing the streets 😡 Imagine buying a t-shirt online and you get a blouse. Do you get me? This is so unprofessional, you are lying to people and playing with people’s money. GO AND UPDATE YOUR PICTURES AND DO A GOOD JOB. People want what they buy NOT a completely different product. You have to be careful with what you book guys. Pictures are not accurate. I wish I could give you cero star but it’s not possible.

Horrible. Do not use this service.. There are a lot of 1 star reviews for this app. I know 1 star is harsh but Expedia really makes traveling even MORE difficult than it already is. If you’re looking at hotels on this website, you’ll see there are a list of places the hotel is close to. For example, 4 minutes from airport, or 5 minutes from beach. In the 3 hotels I’ve booked through Expedia all of what they say the hotel is close to and how far away these places they’ve listed are is completely inaccurate. My second complaint is not about the website but about the agents I speak to over the phone. As a 3rd party booker they should be making things very clear but instead they leave out really important information BEFORE PAYING (example, what I’m paying for is NON REFUNDABLE) that they claim they DON’T have to tell me before I pay because “I should know” but if I was an expert at booking trips and I knew all these things off the top of my head that they claim I should know, I wouldn’t go through Expedia in the first place and would book straight through the airline or hotel. This is definitely the last time I’m using Expedia. I’m so upset I have 2 upcoming reservations I booked through Expedia. I’m hoping the hotel is what it seems like online but I am not counting on that. Like another review says, BYE EXPEDIA!

Horrible customer service and ability to use credits. I have used Expedia for years and always raves about how easy and reliable it is but lately everything about the app, service and customer service live abs virtual is horrible. I feel like it’s all a scam. I have multiple air credits due to Covid and have tried to redeem them. I get confirmations that my flight is booked and thank god I double check everything because all of the sudden my tickets are cancelled and my credits are missing. When I used virtual assist they pull up all these travel itineraries to other countries that I never reserved. When I speak to a live customer service rep they barely understand English. Tell me my credits don’t exist even though they were on my app and I have confirmation emails. Then they tell me to call the airline directly. Keep me on hold for an hour while they say they are reviewing my info. I call the airline directly and they say to contact Expedia because Expedia never sent my payment and credits. In addition they charged my credit cards for the overage cost. Still no credit for that. From now on I will book directly with the airline. Have had perfect service from them and my credits exist and easy to use. Expedia seems like crooks at this point. If it was just one time I would think it was a mistake but this happened 3 times.

Expedia tried to pocket the difference and blamed the airline. We had a trip planned and needed to change flights during this COVID-19 mess. I attempted to change the flights on the app...no luck even though the app showed a significant amount of savings. I waited on the phone for hours into the wee hours of the morning only to have the system hang up on me. After another 4 hours of holding I finally got an agent, they changed the flight and acknowledged the price difference, but said that the airline was charging change and exchange fees and while there was no additional cost , there was no surplus because that surplus covered all the fees. There was a $1,300 difference! So I told the agent on the phone that I would contact the airline because all fees were supposed to be waived. The Expedia agent forbid me to call the airline and assured me that the airline was charging the fees. Well.... I called the airline anyway. They were completely and totally shocked that Expedia would say that fees were being charged. It angered the airline so much that they gave me vouchers for the difference in flights and the airline agent took the time to rebook the flights to pull my itinerary from Expedia’s control. The airline was livid. I learned a valuable lesson.....always book direct with the airline and never use Expedia. Necer again Expedia, never again.

Expedia STOLE my $$$!!! ( after posting review they gave a refund). Update: Expedia reached out. I called them back and the lady I spoke to was very understanding. They issued me a refund for my rental car. Thank you Expedia for making this situation right! I booked a flight, hotel and rental car through Expedia. Prepaid for all of it. Upon getting to the airport at 12:30 am the Hertz rental car worker was extremely rude and told us we could not take our rental car that was paid in full because we did not have a credit card. (We don’t do debt) There is a policy that allows customers to use a debit card if they have two proofs of identification and a return flight booked. He didn’t even consider letting us use that option. He closed shop and went home (clearly didn’t want to be there). A very nice lady working at the Avis counter gave us a number for a taxi to the hotel (thank goodness one was open at this time of night). We then notified Expedia and they absolutely refused to give us a vehicle or refund! We still needed a rental to get to our grandfather’s funeral. They were no help. They said because we didn’t have a credit card, they couldn’t refund us. We paid for nothing!! And Hertz assured us they were not paid for the car. (They also assured us they would deal with their rude employee) This is unacceptable, especially since their policy states that a debit card could have been used. I will NEVER use Expedia again!!!!!

Buyer BEWARE!!😱. I used this app to book a resort in Costa Rica. Sunset Del Mar. The pictures and descriptions were NOTHING like the app portrays this place. It was more like a scene in a horror movie! We went to check in and quickly surmised that we needed different accommodations immediately. The concierge person (only one person working) had to use his cell phone and WhatsApp as the resort main phone number as we tried canceling with Expedia. This same fellow refused to answer the phone for Expedia to cancel. Duh… clue #1 from Expedia. This place was very unsafe, unsanitary, infested and not maintained in 5 years I later found out. Expedia refused our cancellation because the resort refused to answer the phone!! Unbelievable!! Expedia does NOT look out for the customer nor do they verify the places they advertise. This is false advertising and placing customers in unsafe areas is a legal issue waiting to happen for them. Buyer BE WARNED!! You may lose every time of your trip like we did. ** UPDATE** Expedia gave me $75 for the inconvenience, but won’t refund us our TRIP because the resort will not answer the phone or return their phone calls. This is from the “online chat” people at Expedia. DO NOT EXPECT TO TALK TO A PERSON THAT CAN HELP YOU AT EXPEDIA!! They PUSH your “issue” off to a “land based” team to “review your issue”. You never speak to these people.

Book directly through the vendor or risk losing your money. I don't know who is responsible for the attractions/things to do section of the app but that entire department needs to be shut down. I went to Vegas this weekend and used the app to book tickets/vouchers for some events we wanted to do there. I booked 2 tickets for Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum for Friday, however when I got there, they were closed for a private event. Expedia shouldn't have had the slots available and should've done their job as a travel agency to double check and confirm times. I contacted Expedia support and they said they couldn't issue me a refund, so I contacted my bank and Madame Tussaud's directly and they both stated that Expedia is responsible for refunding me. The whole fiasco put a dent in my plans and maybe the schedule change because I had to repurchase tickets directly from the museum for another day. When going to Strat Tower, the booking time didn't align with the time we actually went because there wasn't another time slot to choose. So when I got there, my pass on the app said it had expired even though I never went. I had to work with the Strat team to get my tickets. Overall, Expedia is good for looking at flights and prices for things BUT DO NOT book anything through them or you will be fighting tooth and nail for a simple refund.

STAY AWAY. Money was taken from my account and tickets were not delivered. I tried to book 4 roundtrip tickets for myself and 3 other people. After I completed the booking transaction I received a message saying the flights weren’t available anymore. Fine, I started over and when I tried to finish the transaction again, it says I didn’t have sufficient funds, so I checked my bank account and saw the money was pending. I got in contact with the company and was told the money wasn’t going to be charged and I just needed to give a few days for the pending money go back to my account. I called my bank and they said it is true since the amount wasn’t “charged” yet, it was just pending. Fine. I waited a few days and now it shows the amount as charged and their response was simply: you have to figure out with the bank, while the back says it was a authorized purchase. So now I have no money and no tickets. This is a fraud and I hope other people won’t get robbed like I did. My lawyer is going to take over now. Run as fast as you can from this company!!!

Terror flight. Me and my father bought our tickets $500 dollars and for return it was free next thing you know the cancelled my flight back so I called and they gaved me another flight closer they wanted to charge me for a return flight so I told them why would they charge me for something they cancelled they hanged up on me so I called them again but a different person answered so I told them the whole thing again. So they gaved me a flight a good flight but the thing was they the last flight to my destination was p.m so I was ok with that time. Now when we were at Washington my last flight they changed it at the last second and me and my father were freaking out on why would they do that so we were stuck at Washington tell we figured on what to do. So I called Expedia for a money return but the guy was falling asleep at the job real professional guys, so I was telling him why I wanted that so he told me “ok I’m going to call United for a refund so it’s going to take 7-8 minutes on the wait time so if the phone call hangs up is this number ok to call back” I said yes it is and guess what happened the call hanged up so supposedly he was going to call back but I guess he fell asleep on the job. So I called a taxi but what was the difference if it costed the same as a plane ticket $400 to Roanoke. So if you want to get ripped off and not get your money back then Expedia is the site. Oh yea I’m still waiting on that refund.

Saved the Day!!!!!!!. I normally use a different service that rhymes with spice and they give me a line. During my last trip I booked with that other service. And the rental car company shuttle never showed up. I called the service I booked with and they patch me through to the rental car company that would not answer. They told me they ran out of cars and they could not reach me. I had to get a cancellation from the service that rhymes with spice that give me a line. When I called them back, they said I had to cancel with Ace. Ace would not answer their phone for me or the service that means they would not cancel the car. Also mean I could not book another on the site. Left me in a pickle. They told me I’d have to book a car at the counter at the normal rate and then they would review if they wanted to make up the price difference in 7 to 14 days at the other site. Thank goodness I was able to find Expedia. They found me a car at a great rate no hassles no problem. I will now use them because they do not rhyme with spice and give me a line.

Website needs an update. II have used Expedia for years. Today I ran into an issue I hadn’t experienced before that raises a concern. I recently completed a trip that involved two separate payments - original payment for two rooms, second payment when I added an extra night to the hotel reservation. When we checked into hotel, Expedia agent had only added the extra night to ONE of the rooms and hotel clerk did not find the other reservation as it was still for the NEXT day check-in. So hotel charged me for the full stay for the second room. I called Expedia and got a refund for other second room, thankfully. Then I discovered the hotel overcharged me for the second room AND the extra night I added for both rooms at the end of our stay. I logged into Expedia to get copies of the two payments I had made for the rooms, and discovered Expedia only had the receipt for the last transaction - refund they had sent me. There was NO record of the original two payments for the trip itinerary. They ONLY keep the most recent transaction on an itinerary! This created a huge problem and I ended up spending almost an HOUR on chat with agents who had to manually create two receipts documenting the details for the two payments. What account websites delete original payment receipts if they issue you a partial refund??? Their system should keep records of ALL transactions for each trip/itinerary.

Car rental. It was everyone’s first day at work.. Everyone I met at the fox co acted like they had never done this before. I had no wait at the pickup spot it’s hard to find the pickup spot. Only One person at the rental counter. Very hard sell on the insurances and even harder sell on the gas sales, bring it back empty. By the time I actually left the counter. I was scared to rent the car. Stories about flat tires and lost keys and renting the car for a month while they fix it. It went a smooth enough but I will never rent fox again. Who needs the hard sale. And anything I do is an issue. I never get scared to rent from Enterprise. But Fox I was scared to drive away. I can Uber for a week for same cost and not be scared of flat tires lost keys cracked windshields renting the car for a month while Fox fixes it if something was to happen. I was alone at the rental and I was told 6 times I better be the only person driving the car. I was charged a $500 deposit. That was ok but the lady behind the counter was freaking about how much that was. The car is real nice and drives great. To bad I am afraid to drive it anywhere. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️😠

Reef house is a great spot!. We spent 3 nights at the reef house and it was very nice. The resort is clean and comfortable. The pool is beautiful, and it’s proximity to the beach area makes it ideal. We took advantage of the sunset cruise and the morning snorkel trip. Both were highly enjoyable. We hit s glitch with the snorkel trip when there were mechanical problems with the boat, but the staff worked hard and found a solution for everyone to get on a snorkel boat. All of the staff, from housekeeping to bartenders, to maintenance people were friendly and accommodating. The captains and crew on both of our boating excursions were great. We were thankful that “Henry” was able to fill in quickly for our snorkel day. I’d say the only drawback might be the in-room coffee. Some may prefer the Nespresso systems but I missed my “regular” coffee. On the last day, I did find K-cups in the lobby of the main building but a little too late. It would also be nice to have a “snack shop” on-site, for early risers to grab a bite before a morning walk or boat ride. I’d highly recommend this resort, and don’t forget to take advantage of Happy Hour by the pool!

Econo Lodge Dalhart TX a Reasonable and Affordable Stay. I chose the Dalhart Texas Econo Lodge as the most reasonable motel in a small city which had several other chain options. I was driving to Albuquerque in a marathon from New Jersey where this was the final overnight, which I had calculated to be four hours away. I needed a bed for the night, nothing more, and Econo Lodge fitted the bill. The room had been thoroughly cleaned, had a slight scent of disinfectant, and the bed was certainly comfortable although higher off the floor than any other motel/hotel I’ve been in over the years. A full hot breakfast bar in the lobby area was available at 6am the next morning at check out. Traffic noise outside on the main street was high as it is Route 54, a heavily travelled route for grain and livestock trucks through Oklahoma Texas and New Mexico with the equally heavily trafficked rail freight line paralleling this road a block away, but I had a good sleep. It is fair to say that every motel/hotel, chain or local, would have the same environment. Many restaurants/ fast food outlets are located in what must have been a thriving commercial farming/ranching community in its heyday. For my short stay, it was the perfect choice.

Bug keeps choosing random dates. In the past this app has worked well but recently, I’m going back a couple of updates now over the past couple of months it’s head above where when you are on the road and you start to search for a motel it will randomly choose some date in the future instead of defaulting to the current days date for your check in time. Most people on the road which no doubt account for the largest Group of users need it to default to the current days date for the check-in date, not to some random date in the future. And even if people were looking for a room for the future what are the chances that the random date this app chooses is going to be the one you need, so it’s better to have it default to the current date for check-in and the following day for check out the way it used to. That’s much more convenient for the largest group of users. I’ve even changed the date to the current day and then head to choose a different town because the initial town I searched and didn’t have enough motels, find a room book it and then find out later the app and change the date to a random date in the future causing me then have to spend an hour calling Expedia: 3 service to get it straightened out. Please fix the app where it defaults to the current days date for check-in and the following days date for check out the way it has always done in the past.

Terrible experience from web browser. Not sure if you realize but not all of us want an app for everything in the world and some people don’t live their entire lives on a smart phone. I logged in via edge web browser to book a hotel near LAX. My preference was with an airport shuttle. This was my fault that the hotel I booked didn’t have transport to and from the airport. I decided to cancel the booking and select another. From the web browser (Chrome or Edge), I couldn’t find any way to cancel. I tried to open a chat which kept failing. I went to support and followed the instructions but no option to cancel showed up. I tried this from a different device and got the same results. I finally HAD to download the app for iPhone to try to cancel from there. This worked but I have spent way too much time with this. As soon as this trips over I will change my travel company to something other than Expedia. There’s no excuse for poor browser performance in this day and age. As I stated, the app works great but the browser stinks.

Expedia makes trouble! Never solve problem.. They will cancel your appointment without any notification. If there is an overbooked situation, hotel will cancel those booked by Expedia, even if you booked more than a week ago, even if you already paid your full price. And when you arrived late at night at an area you are not familiar with, you were tired and with sleepy kids. They just let you know there is no room for you even if you paid full price a week ago. Hotel said they told Expedia but Expedia doesn’t do their work. If we could get any messages or calls earlier we could do something to find another hotel, but they don’t care. I don’t know whose responsibility it is, Expedia or the hotel, but no one cares about customers. Now time customer’s satisfaction and contractual spirit aren’t what those doing business care, you already pay your money, so now you are the fish on the chopping block. They won’t lose anything, that’s all. And we customers should responsible for all the thing, find another hotel, make a lot call in your car during late night in a totally strange area, kids sleeping and crying, drove an hour long , pay twice more to find another room. As customers we did nothing wrong, why should we suffer and pay for your violation of contract? Expedia is really irresponsible, disrespectful to customers, no contractual spirit. Expedia makes trouble! They never solve problem when there is things happen! Worst experience ever and will never use Expedia again!

SOMETHING EXPEDIA SHOULD LOOK INTO. My last trip I booked through the Expedia app was back in March and I used my Discover card to pay for my trip. I have an upcoming trip in a few months and I’ve been trying to book a flight through the Expedia app for last few days to no avail. I input all my banking information and click the submit button to get an error message that say, “We weren’t able to complete your booking. Please wait a moment and try again.” I waited and retry the process again. Nothing. I even chatted with an agent who suggested that I contact my credit card company. I did that the very next morning. Nothing’s wrong with my credit card. I’ve also been online with an agent trying to book the flight for me in case there was an issue on my end and believe me when I say that he was not able to book my flight either. He got the same error message. Now, I’ve tried multiple travel sites all run by the Expedia Group(Travelocity, Orbitz) and I wasn’t able to use my discover card on any of those websites either. So that only leaves one question. When did Expedia stop accepting DISCOVER credit cards as payment even though your website STILL shows that you do accept that form of payment?

I wouldn’t even give a star. I have been traveling all day after reaching the hotel they told me there is no booking under my name! I contacted Expedia to solve my issue, unfortunately, they did the opposite by not giving me any solutions and telling me there was overbooking and the hotel cannot accept you, it is not the customer problem that your system is bad to show availability and there isn't ! I am expecting to reach the hotel and find my room ready not solving your problems. Not only I spoke with one agent But 4 agents all of them were uncooperative, rude, and they just put me on hold, then they hang up! I spent 2 and half hours on the phone which was an overseas call which coasted me a lot of money without any solution or at least offering anything for your mistake. I have been an Expedia customer for 5+ years with gold, silver, and blue membership but after what I have experienced this week this will be my last time using this platform, I am still waiting for my hotel refund which they told me I will collect within 2 days and now we reached the 6th day without any refund. Learn how to treat your customers not telling them there is nothing we can do to you! You have a problem with your system you solve it don't expect your customers to do it for you! Worst traveling experience ever and surely worst customer service!

Rental Car. Do Not Use GreenMotion Rental agency. We rented a car from this company several weeks in advance. I called two days before to verify rental. Upon calling placed on hold. They said 4 callers ahead of me. I waited. The waiting machine told me 20 minutes. 1 hour and 10 minutes later I finally got the phone to ring. It rang twice. The the call ended. I called back and went into the waiting line once again. This time it was connected to an “agent”. He guaranteed me my rental was good and ended the call. The day of my trip my plane landed and I called the company. They told me to proceed to the off site rental area. We did this and waited with another group waiting for the same company. As other agencies came and went we soon realized we were in trouble. We called and received an answer. The agent asked if this was for Miami, some other place and Ft Lauderdale. It said Ft Lauderdale. The caller then transferred my called and the call ended once again. I would eventually get through. They told me they would contact the driver and he’d be on his way. We kept calling and received no more answers. Finally a fellow rental agency called the “the driver”. We were then told the agency was closed and they would not be coming. We called and waited for 45minutes to an hour. Do not use GREENMOTION

Lovely hotel in the center of Myeongdong!!. Location cannot be beat but getting a taxi means taking your luggage about a block or so to be able to get a taxi. Small streets are really for pedestrians 11am- 10pm. Street vendors are everywhere and the food is amazing and fresh. Rooms are tiny but efficient. I paid extra for a room with a balcony. I think those rooms with balconies are almost 490 square feet . Amenities were nice, my room air conditioning was broken but I didn’t mind since I actually prefer it-a but warmer. Front desk/ check in is on the 21st floor. Not everyone speaks English but most seem fluent in English, Korean and Japanese. Staff overall very friendly. I asked to borrow an umbrella one day and was questioned about my room and name…for a 3,000 won clear umbrella I should/could have fought across the street. 3,000 won is about $2. After paying over $250 a night for 8 nights I felt disrespected but apparently I was the only one who experienced the negative experience. My sister stayed in the next room and had no problem borrowing couple of umbrellas for a day. 😆 I guess I looked like I didn’t belong in the hotel. Oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hope he knows I returned the umbrella!!! Room 2205 returned the one umbrella.

DO NOT USE THIS APP. DO NOT USE THIS APP! I have booked my flight through this app since I don’t have a way to book ticket outside US without a local phone number to register, the airline company send me an email saying my connecting flight was canceled, but they book me another flight that takes off while I still in my first flight. I called the airline company just to find out the flight got canceled is the last flight going out that day, and I have to stay overnight at the airport. So I decided to cancel all of it, and the agent told me they couldn’t cancel it from there end, due to lack of information by this app, it doesn’t show my passport number, they can’t add it on or anything, I have to contact whoever I booked my ticket from. So I went back to the Expedia app, I can’t cancel nor change my booking due to Technical issues? The app says that I need to update this app, but in App Store no update option there at all, and it has already took my money. So I paid 300 some for nothing. Customer service doesn’t want to answer, after 2 hours of on hold, the agent tells me, “I have been put on hold by the airline company’s customer service ”and saying she will give me a call back because they are off work now. It’s day time at that airline company’s country, what are you talking about? Then, she never called me back. This company is a joke. Save your money by ordering tickets directly from airline companies.

SCAM!! Be careful!!. I tried to make a reservation today for family vacations and when I tried to hit confirm after I put all my info I got a sign that says ERROR, so logically I tried again and I got the same message again. I did not get confirmation from Expedia or booking details of course. Then I see in my bank account 4 pending transactions from Them. I called the bank to tell them this was canceled and did not get any confirmation from Expedia but bank says is all approved on their end and as far as they know nothing is canceled and I’m being charged for that. To make story short, after 1 hour and 30 minutes in the phone with bank and Expedia I’m still being charged even Expedia supervisor says is canceled they are not able to give me a cancelation number or anything that I can show the bank as a proof of canceled transaction. They said may take 3-5 business day to get my money back, that means now I cannot book my vacations cause they are holding my money and I don’t have enough left on my credit card. Customer service is a shame, the money on hold is even more than the total amount of the trip when I asked how is this possible to supervisor couldn’t even tell me why. I will never book anything through Expedia again. They are a shame and taking people’s money even when it says error on the screen. SCAM!!!!!

Horrible Company. We’ve been with Expedia for years, but recently they have not on,y gone downhill, but tanked. Be very careful if you decide to trust Expedia. They accept no responsibility for their errors, won’t let you talk to supervisors if you request it, and the agents don’t know anything about travel. They lie and give you false information, and when you call them on it it’s not even acknowledged. Read the tiny, minuscule information that is in their agreements, and you will find that when you sign, they are protected from any errors they make, even if it costs you an arm and a leg. If you choose to deal with them, make sure that you know everything about what you want, and that you have looked around at other sites as well. After royally screwing up a trip that we’d booked through them, to the point that they didn’t know how to fix it, we finally got flight credit. Unfortunately, Expedia is charging $100 more than the airline itself. So much for it being a site that saves you money. They also own most of the discount sites, so be prepared for the same kind of appalling service if you use one of their other companies. Read up on customer complaints (there are thousands!) before deciding to trust this company with your hard earned money. 😞

Very bad trip. Normally we have a good experience with Expedia, however we are starting to see that Expedia is only a fair weather company. That is, when there are no issues they do a sufficient job. However if you have any issues with your travel, they have zero customer support or loyalty. We understand that flights get canceled, that is a risk taken when booking. We can live with those problems. However when booking though Expedia, expect to do all the leg work on finding fights, moving rental cars, or hotels, all on your own if a problem arises. Our flights were canceled, again, not the issue. We then spent the next 6 hours trying to speak with Expedia on our options. After being on hold for 3 of those hours, being hung up on multiple times, and calling 3 different times to try and rebook flights, we just went to the airlines. United did a great job of rebooking flights for us, we canceled our own rental car, rebooked our own rental car at double the price, Expedia did not care, and rebooked our entire vacation ourselves. Expedia is a fair weather company and I’d recommend not using them based on all of the flaws in customer service. Terrible experience that could have been avoided if we would have received any help. Thank you again to United for the assistance in rebooking.

Won’t be using this app. I’m glad I checked reviews before attempting to use Expedia again, every review for the past 2 weeks have pretty much been bad!! Not to mention that I’ve had a bad experience with them myself. I booked a 2 nights at Microtel Inn & Suites, I walked in hotel guy at service desk was talking on the phone as he was checking me in. I paid for room online with Expedia and I get to the desk the clerk says I have to pay an additional $100 to stay. I said I don’t have it as I am on a budget which is why I booked online for better price, he says ok well just give $50 and I’ll get you checked it. Super sketchy in my opinion. I said no I just want my refund, he said I can’t give you refund you need to call Expedia. It took me almost 45 minutes to get an actual person on the chat and I had to keep walking back and forth in the hotel to have the clerk answer the phone call from the Expedia in order to get the “hotel’s approval to process my refund”. So then Expedia said they cousin only reimburse me for one night, saying I only paid for one night which I paid for 2 nights, the retreat was very rude and kept overlooking what I was telling him just to see that I was right and no apology or anything. I’m happy I got my refund the next day but the service is horrible and I’m not happy about that experience!!

Would not stay here again. I don’t normally give out 2 stars but this hotel was disappointing. The only good thing I have to say about the hotel is that it is clean and close to the airport. The front desk person was not friendly in check in ( who knows, maybe she was having a bad day?) We needed to be at the airport at 5:30am and the only time slot available was at 3am. I called earlier in the day (when I booked my room) to schedule the transportation but was told it could not be done until we checked in even though I booked a prepaid room because we would have a late check in time of 11:00pm. We were even okay with that. What was the final straw was being rudely awoken by the people next to us having a party at 1:00am! The hotel room walls were not soundproof and we heard everything. We did not report it to the front desk thinking it would stop. So, if all you want is a clean room and a place to park your car before your flight out and you have a later flight, it’s a good hotel if you don’t have high expectations. My advice is check in early so you have the time slot available for the airport shuttle you want. For the 2 hours of sleep we received, we should have just gone to the airport! There are so many wonderful hotels near the MSP airport- do your research and choose wise! Happy travels!

Not Helpful At All. We booked a room and once we arrived at the hotel, immediately we decided to leave. The hotel is totally not as it was featured at the Expedia app. The hotel was so small and the bed was just on top of a metal frame it’s not even safe. The pictures posted on Expedia app were too nice that it entices people like us who travel to stay in there. I asked immediately for a refund because that hotel is not It’s not acceptable for the price and to live in the stay in. The floors were creaking and we were at the third floor imagine the fear. after calling EXPEDIA and explaining that we don’t want to stay there with brother transferred to a new hotel we stayed talking to the person for almost 2 hours like it took all of our cell phones battery. End it ends up that he cannot help us with the refund or neither booking or maybe just a credit book a new room from a different place or a different hotel. I used to brag about EXPEDIA and how good the app is and how easy it is to book everything but now I will tell everyone then I will tell my friends scrap EXPEDIA just go straight to the hotel at least hotel can give you a discount I can get a refund you will give you a credit for another stay a different hotel. I also just booked from the airplane company NOT from this up anymore.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Well I guess I should start in the beginning, booked a round trip flight to Warsaw poland from texas. Got the insurance just to be safe. Flight there was changed so to the airline having delays, no problem. Decided I needed to come home early and contacted them to change my flight to a earlier departure date. Bye about one month. After spending over a hour on the phone with them because the app would work, they told me it would be a additional $4000 for a flight home. Not a new location just a bit earlier flight. Needless to say I did not do that and was able to get a ticked through another app with only 4 days lead time ( same I gave Expedia) for $1100. Now that I was home safe I contacted Expedia via oh as once again the app wouldn’t work. Told the lady what happened and that I had the protection and I wanted to cancel my return flight that still was a month away. She said no prob and would calculate my refund. It would take 3-5 mins. 47 minutes later she gave me the info that I thought was unacceptable but it is what it is right. Confirmed and ended the call. I had a missed call 5 minutes later to tell me that she didn’t finish and I would have to call back again. So I’m writing this as I’ve been on home for yet another 37 minutes and have got nowhere. I will never use Expedia again. Horrible customer service. It’s bad when I’ve had better customer service in a war zone

Relaxing and enjoyable stay. Just had to give this property a five star review because of the service and the comfort of our stay. We actually found this hotel after our trip had already started and we started at a nightmare Airbnb. The bang for your buck at this property is notable. It seems like an older property but with great renovations. The lobby is spacious and beautiful with exotic fish tanks to enjoy. They have a bar and restaurant with a small but tasty menu. The pool is beautiful! The room was clean and comfortable and the little balcony just added to the charm. For us it was a saving grace for our trip which was to celebrate our film being in FLIFF. Oh and the elevators were always working and available which isn’t often the case. Finally, the customer service was top notch. They helped us with food delivery, got us extra towels quickly and when there was a loud and rowdy crowd in the hallway on our floor after midnight sent security up in five minutes to break it up. We were impressed. Just a great place to stay close enough drive to all you need and really close to Hard Rock Seminole and the airport! Thank you for a great stay!

Could be improved. I have loved Expedia since I started traveling on my own and the checkout process is always easy for me. Overall the app is decent and could use a few more features. For example when searching for an all inclusive on the website you can filter that option but in the app you must scroll through all hotels, motels and resorts. Also, I wish that you didn’t have to specifically search from one airport. The app states that it’s to help you find the best deal but to me the best deal would be found by checking all available airports that I am willing to travel to without having to research and put back in all of my filters every time. Also, they claim that it is cheaper to book through the app but I have always found that the better bundles are found on the website. It would also be nice if there was an “availability calendar” like on some other sights where you can see how much cheaper it would be to stay a different night. Another feature that would interest me is being able to search an entire country as your destination to try to find new and cool places to stay in a specific country.

The App Needs an Overhaul. This app did not work well to make a simple booking flight time change. My cc was declined, with no info provided as to why. I was ‘required’ to call Expedia to complete my change. It is not helpful to listen to a recording stating how easy changes are in the app or the repeated offer to send me a change link for the app. I also tried to log in via the web, but the option was not available. I was required to ‘use the app’. After finally reaching a ‘live agent’ on the phone, a 37 min call ensued with many holds by the agent, to take my payment. I learned from my agent ‘Ethan’ because I tried to pay with a different payment method than the one used for the original booking, Expedia declined my payment. There were not notices in the app stating I needed to use the same method of payment. I do not have payment methods stored in the app. This was an extremely frustrating experience, & I likely will use other vendors to purchase future travel tickets as something simple, that basic app communications could have cleared up, without a need to call in. My rep was long winded, and at 4:30 am it’s not helpful to have the agent sing to me over & over, ‘I will take care of this for you. Nooooooo worries’. It’s like an unwelcome song lyric stuck in my head.

Out of Compliance for a Disabled person Accommodations. When I reserved a 3-day stay with Expedia, I specifically noted I was disabled (left ankle fused). However, when I arrived in my room, the furniture in the room was not safe for me to habitat. The couch and the chair were very close to the floor. I sat on the couch and noticed immediately, I could not get up. I ended up crawling back up to stand. While doing so, I hurt my knee. There was also bar stools. With the disability I have, I am unable to raise up and balance my left foot/ankle on the chair. I contacted the Property I was staying at. I reminded them of my disability. I told them there was not one chair I could safely sit on. In turn, they could not help me. They recommended that I contact Expedia. I called Expedia Customer Service. However, there was a recording stating that the office is closed due to the holiday. From where I am at, there is no holiday. Also, I was under the impression that I could contact Expedia 24/7. So, I had to find a different property to stay at that accommodated my disability. Someone from Expedia should have helped me. According to the ADA for a disabled person, requested accommodations were not honored. I expect to get a full refund for this accommodations not met and for the hardship I had to go through in finding a safe place to stay.

Expedia’s Customer Service plays games!!!. Words simply cannot explain how irritated I am with EXPEDIA . I booked a room and was charged for it. As I pulled up to the hotel I received a call from the receptionist at the hotel telling me that there were no rooms available and they didn’t t know why Expedia booked me. I immediately called Expedia and I was put on hold for more than 50 minutes at least 3 times. This was a Saturday night. When I did get someone on the line, the kept telling me that they had to call the hotel to see if I could be refunded my money. Simply giving me the run around. It wasn’t until the following Monday that someone told me I would be refunded but it would take 7 days and it wouldn’t be the whole amount . I was like Hell No, I want my money back immediately. Why can’t people do the right thing???? Why do they Nickel and dime people. I will NEVER use this company again. It is so disrespectful to leave people on hold for a long period of time hoping they will hang up. This is so wrong and extremely unprofessional. STOP TAKING PEOPLE’s Money if you aren’t going to go over and beyond to make sure they are accommodated and treated with the utmost respect. Unacceptable! I will do everything I can to spread the word about this company.

Never again, Expedia. I have used Expedia for YEARS. This has always been my go-to service for hotels, flights, and cars. I was supposed to go to Atlanta for work and happily booked my plane tickets through Expedia as I always did. With the COVID crisis and travel restrictions, my trip to Atlanta needed to be canceled. For some reason I wasn’t able to cancel my flight online, and was instructed to call customer service. I did, and received a recording that because my travel was not in the next 72h they could not help me, and to call back when I was within that window. So I waited until Sunday, when I was finally in the 72h window. I was on hold for 3 hours, with no option for a call back, before being disconnected without speaking to anyone. I called back at 10pm Sunday night. I slept on and off, with my phone on speakerphone until I woke up at 5am, still on hold. I didn’t speak to a representative until 8am Monday morning- at that point I had been on hold for 10 HOURS. I explained the situation to the gentleman (named David) and asked that if we got disconnected to please call me back as I had been on hold all night. He confirmed my phone number and happily agreed. 1h and 15 minutes later, with absolutely no resolution, the call was disconnected. No. Call Back. 11h15m wasted. I called Delta, got an immediate response AND they refunded my ticket. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER USE EXPEDIA FOR ANYTHING ELSE AS LONG AS I LIVE DUE TO HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN.

Shame on Expedia for false advertising. Shame on Expedia for false advertising and for giving me the run-around. I booked a Best Western hotel room through Expedia specifically because photos OF THE ROOM, DURING THE ROOM-SELECTION PROCESS showed there was a hot tub inside the room. When I checked in, and then asked the hotel why I did not have a hot tub room, they said that was not the room that Expedia booked for me and that their 2 hot tub rooms were unavailable. I told them I wanted a partial refund (or a full refund to leave & stay somewhere else more affordable) because I am aware that the room they gave me was offered at a much lower price point (on sites other than Expedia) and had only booked at that price because Expedia photos showed the hot tub suite. The hotel said there is nothing they can do, that I needed to talk to Expedia. Expedia kept me on customer service chat for 30 minutes, with the cs agent telling me he was checking his resources & talking to someone who could help, and then told me to wait 72 hours while they contact the hotel [which has already told me they won’t do anything]. This is not the first time I’ve dealt with blame being passed around when Expedia is the middleman! DO NOT BOOK with Expedia, book directly with the hotels & airlines! When a customer service issue arises, each always says it’s the other company’s responsibility & there is no resolution.

Bereavement flight. I spent seven hours on the phone trying to book a flight to Oklahoma City from Seattle seven times it let me put in all of my information and click on the last step of purchasing 7 times it “thought” for an hour and reminded me that I could still purchase it but it still wouldn’t let me purchase it! Seven times and then I went to FedEx to use a computer thinking maybe it was just because I’m on my iPhone… Number eight number nine it said sorry it’s down on our end or something to that effect! So I called my daughter let her know I was having troubles she was working so she said she would help me the next day but she didn’t have any problems with the app but I wasn’t sure if she was talking about Expedia Si downloaded the Expedia app and it actually worked. Now I’m having troubles lining up a car rental for the week.. and Expedia isn’t saving me any money on that I was so stressed out today trying to freaking book that flight! I helped build the Expedia campus I’m a high-end finish carpenter and I did over a years worth of work on that campus for all of their kitchens all of the high-end cabinetry pantries the siding inside on their collaboratives all of the work I did in there and the first thing I tried to use Expedia for…Turned out to be a big fat flop full of stress. Very disappointing!

Is this FRAUD?. I booked a room thru Expedia and when I checked in it doesn’t show that I paid. I had to pay for the room again. I was told by the receptionist this happens all the time with Expedia. They said I have to call Expedia myself. I tried to get some help thru the app and the “virtual chat” is soo useless and just a waste of time. It repeatedly asks for my itinerary number, my cell number, last 4 digits of credit card and still it can’t help me. Someone alive finally came into the conversation and then I waited for another 10 minutes while it figures out my problem it replied “I can see we got disconnected”!!!!! I called the number I was given and it says “we’re not available at this time’ Then I called back after an hour and while I was entering my itinerary number, it said “you waited too long to answer” and it hang up on me. I tried calling back again today, I was on hold for 1 hour and 3 minutes and when someone came on the line I asked him kindly to call me back if we get disconnected since I’ve been on hold for an hour but sure enough we got disconnected and I didn’t get a call back. EXPEDIA is so frustrating. I will never book with them again. Their customer support is very poor, if any!

Expedia is Excellent. I recently booked a 5 week trip to the US using Expedia. Every booking & every flight was spot on. There were no holdups, no hitches & nothing went wrong. I was able to call Expedia to confirm bookings & they sent me notifications of any changes. A fabulous App! Also great to be able to book & pay as you go so no huge bills. A fantastic experience. Also because of the reviews you can make great choices. No complaints

Motel review. Unable to review a motels lack of service re pet friendly accomodation..Silky oaks Gilgandra NSW paying $110 a night on 2 occasions & firstly after complaining to manager in case he thought we’d left it did not clean up the broken glass & dog faeces outside unit on request after our first nights stay..2 wks later it was still there plus a clean glass in the fridge in its paper wrapper had a lens wipe & bottle top inside wrapper...Very shoddy & poor hygiene practice after we who travel with dogs one who sleeps in the car, leave the motel in an orderly manner & have to pay the hefty surcharges after you advertise free pet friendly accomodation...please review & check these places before you advertise them..

$$ Discrepancies in app and website. The app doesn’t have all the functions of the desktop website, I also noticed that the price for hotels on the website and the app are different - the app has a higher price but offers double points for bookings through the app. It just doesn’t make sense though, the benefit is cancelled out. So I hope that Expedia makes it more honest in the app and if Expedia is offering double points with using the app to not cancel the benefit by raising the prices in the app. That is my customer experience and feedback of the app, also I hope that this will help Expedia keep improving their service and product more transparent.

Good app but price keeps changing. Been using Expedia for almost 10 years now. Booking service is pretty good, but if you search for the same flight for a few times, there is algorithm that notice the demand and changes the price. It changes just right before you check out as well which sometimes is confusing. Other than that good app

Good deals. I like the vip points ,normal points and extras and look out for further discounts with coupons that I google or use CASHREWARDS or ShopBack.I have had to negotiate some issues but have been given a credit so it makes any hassle easier.I also like to book stuff together which they offer and cars seem good value.

Customer service lie about credits you never receive. I was meant to receive a $300 credit for a $1600 stay that my parents could not stay in as it was dangerous, unhygienic and did not match in any way shape or form the photos. I spoke to customer service who advised me to tell the receptionist (Gold Coast mind you) who first told me she didn’t understand English (??) then physically pushed me out the door swearing at me in Chinese. Thanks Expedia. I asked customer service to find them another place, they did not, give me a refund, they couldn’t and would give me $300 credit, I called many times, no credit, nothing, customer service are call centra in Asia that absolutely have no interest in resolving anything. Be aware there is no security or customer service if you use them and they can also put you in dangerous situations.

Excellent app (most of the time!). Have absolutely appreciated this app on our trip around Portugal and Spain . So good for hotel choosing and activities booking . Had a duplication and the problem was fixed up immediately . Only negative is that on each search I have to re-enter the number of travellers ( I think?). I have also had a problem with credit card details having to re-enter the details manually at times. Overall thank you and will definitely use again .

Horrendous 3 year not so merry go round to get a refund. As a customer of Expedia, I can confidently say that their customer service is absolutely appalling. I recently had to deal with them regarding a cancelled flight due to Covid, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite the fact that the airline had given us written authority for a full refund, Expedia refused to provide us with the refund that we were rightfully owed. Instead, they kept insisting that we take a travel voucher that we had no use for, as there was no possibility of us traveling in the immediate future. To make matters worse, we had already waited for over a year to travel, and had been left completely disappointed by the cancellation. Yet, despite the fact that we had been inconvenienced enough as it was, Expedia still refused to provide us with the refund that we were entitled to. Not only was their customer service completely unhelpful, but their attitude towards us as customers was downright dismissive and disrespectful. It's clear that they have little regard for their customers, and are only interested in making a profit at any cost. Overall, I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using Expedia for their travel needs. Their customer service is simply not up to par, and they are not a company that can be trusted to provide their customers with the service that they deserve.

Thieves. Bad review. In October you took a booking, charged me $90. On arrival I found the motel booked out and told it was up to me to get my money back from you. I will not use Expedia again as I travel in remote areas and rely on my booking being correct. Sometimes I am 100’s of kilometres from the next motel and do not like arriving to find motel fully booked and I must sleep in the car as I have nowhere to go. I am annoyed that I must chase you to get me money back.

Excellent Customer Service - Ms Sona. I had confirmed & paid for a booking, then immediately realised the check in date was out by 1 day. I immediately called Expedia & spoke to customer representative Ms Sona who had listened to my dilemma & she called the hotel. The revised check in date was resolved within a few minutes. I always have great experience with Expedia for a number of years now, nothing’s too difficult. Online Booking through their app was always easy & quick to navigate & the room rates are great. Issues are quickly resolved to my satisfaction. I have recommend Expedia to friends & family.

What points?!. I’ve booked and paid for numerous hotels and flights etc (thousands $$) via the Expedia app only to discover that none of the points I thought I would have have been credited to my account. All of my trips are showing in my account however after 2 phone calls to customer support I am still without any points. When I called Expedia all the person could say was ‘it’s the policy’. There is no transparency at all - when the app says earn 800+ points for booking, it is extremely misleading.

Amazing as always. Staff are just beautiful, lovely pool area and great bar service in the pool bar. Older guests so not loud and very peaceful. Central location close to everything you could need. Great money changer down the alley with shops across the road. We will be back! If you want lush gardens and and a relaxing holiday in true bali style accomodation this is great bang for your buck.

Absolutely useless. I tried to purchase a flight SEVEN (7) times and the app would say the transaction didn’t go through, yet it took the money from my account As someone who only flies 5 times a year, I’m able to purchase off every other app except Expedia There’s no one to to help, or explain anything Expedia are pathetic I received a cut and paste reply from this review. I would have added a screenshot from my bank account, BUT EXPEDIA don’t want traceability otherwise they will be exposed Expedia would never accept responsibility or accountability Expedia have absolutely destroyed the customers ability to book anything trip related due to their greed I ended up paying AUD $609 instead of AUD $251 during my 15 hour experience of EXPEDIA giving every excuse possible, except admitting they are the cause, and the 7 bank transactions I have no choice but to accept this is how Expedia operates

Excellent location and great stay. The resort was within proximity of shops and beach. Rooms were huge and was very clean. Bathroom a bit outdated and needs renovation in the coming years. Pool was clean and fun for the kids. Plenty of space around the reception area to hang out and there was a game area for kids as well. Would definitely go back

Frustrating filters let down a Great app. I really like using this app and use it almost exclusively - and I’m in the middle of a 94 day European holiday and I’ve book almost 80 nights using Expedia. I have also only had good responses when booking have gone wrong with Expedia staff always helpful with me incurring too much inconvenience and no additional costs. But I keep being frustrated by the price filter not really working - I don’t want a high-end hotel and some major tourist locations you want to filter them out so you can more easily see find a suitable hotel. The map function too shows you all the sold out properties ... why? I’m here to book a hotel not to see all the hotels that not available! Also I take the time to write decent reviews of most places I stay but I do get a little tired of rating the property at check-in time and then again when I have checked-out. At least add a section to the personal preferences to allow people to opt-out of one or both review preferences. Fix these frustrations and I’m almost at a 5 star rating!

A hotel that delivers. A dear German friend who loves the hotel recommended we stay there on our recent visit to Vienna. The hotel is part of Vienna’s history and right next door to one of Mozart’s apartments and only three minutes from St Stephens, the centre of everyone’s itinerary. Beyond that we found our room, in the modern wing, extremely large and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond. We will be back!

Great Platform. Great online service which I think really Looks after customer as process shown are very competitive and info provided are to its best. I believe if people (both customers and suppliers) do their bit leaving enough info, reviews and pictures; we can make this place a better place.

Promised refund but none received. Booked accommodation that I had to cancel due to Covid 19. Was told I would receive a refund coupon within 30 days. After following up was started to give the run around. Told numerous times I would receive an email with my coupon within 7 days. That went on for a month. Was then told I would have their final decision about whether I would receive a refund within 3 days. Still waiting for that email. Terrible customer service and complete dodgy company and subsidiaries. I was even sent an email telling me to call to speed up the process. The number they gave me was for another company 😠

The most hopeless and worst company. I’m definitely gonna say that this company is the most unprofessional and are hopeless, I have bought two flight tickets which with no reason the airline canceled our tickets and this hopeless company is having us jumping in between the airline and Expedia with literally not even a clue if they are gonna give us back our money or not, it’s been more than 5 months and we are not giving up, customer service don’t know what are they doing or searching and never have a clear response and you end up losing the money, literally it feels that this is an scam app, Apple should remove this app from this platform

No support. A spelling mistake in a name was accidentally made in a group booking. After 2 weeks of asking for the name to be corrected we have had only frustrating phone call after phone call and unfulfilled promises from Expedia. After ringing the airline directly, who said how the flight ticket could be corrected quite easily by Expedia, we are still waiting for them to make the change. Hopefully the airline will understand when we check in in a couple of days and we are able to fly. Expedia’s lack of support has caused 2 weeks of frustration with time wasting phone calls and lack of help, unfulfilled promises and sleepless nights caused by anxiety. Very disappointed!! Don’t ever use them

Trip to Hobart. We would highly recommend the Grand Chancellor at Hobart- from the moment we arrived the staff have been exceptional - special mentions for front of house staff Leah, Eve and Harrison, even the baggage handlers who delivered our bags to our room. The room facing the harbour was beautiful and was close to all amenities including the Salamanca markets and the various waterside eateries. Will definitely be back.

The app itself is good support is nonexistent. I’m not here to complain about the app itself. I understand that that’s the purpose of this review. But I’ve tried booking flights and accommodation thrice on this app for the same hotel. Each time it failed and in the last attempt it deducted money from my credit card, however I still don’t have a booking. Been on call waiting since more than an hour. The chat support isn’t helping.

Not as supportive and helpful as before. I have been with Expedia for almost every booking for the last four years. The latest experience was extremely terrible. Without my authorisation, the hotel took the “Pay on Arrival” room fee X 10% extra two days before check in, and won’t release the payment until the one month after check out. Expedia never told me about the 10% extra fee and never told me we need to prepay even we chose “pay on arrival “ option. Because I booked the room for other people not for myself. Why should I pay!!!!! The Expedia reservation team tried to ask me to deal with the hotel directly . They charged my payment and didn’t pay a role as a responsible travel agent. Terrible!!!!

Great App but needs to be more user friendly.. There is no doubt this is an excellent app for booking or even comparing hotels, flights and trips. Major problem for me is once you have booked you are not given an email contact of your hotel. So if you need to contact them you only have a phone number which has proven difficult when contact is required. Expedia can contact them but there is a 48 hour turn around. Just make the app more user friendly and it will be a 5 star app.

Rewards Activity. I would like the ability to be able to drill down on the rewards activity section. Credit for each night that you stay takes up to 30 days to be recognised and this makes it difficult to track if you have been awarded the correct amount of nights stays or money spent towards status tiers.

Cancelation Plan and Flight Protection Plan. The app tries to trap users. Even I am a Gold Member since 2019, I decide to delete Expedia as they are trapping us to use the Flight Protection Plan. They allow us to purchase it at cost 10-12% the total cost of the trip - but when we need to cancel the flight and claim the inssurant - they trap us to click the button “Cancel the Cancelation Plan” then refund us the very little money of the fee only not the fully fee of the flight. I called the support line and the lady told me that I still need to call each airline to manage it and call the issurance company to claim the cost. What kind of customer service???

Worst customer service. I had to cancel a flight in 2020 due to border closures. Received a credit. Went to book the same route a year later only to be told that wasn’t possible to use my credit as the airline didn’t sell that trip anymore. I asked to pay extra and was told no that wasn’t possible. Called after that to book again to be told no I couldn’t use the credit. Called again to be told one of the credits had expired and I have lost my money. Called at least 5 more times Emailed at least 5 or more times to follow up on other provider credit with no response on each occasion. Look today as I have allotted the 1.5 hours it has taken on the phone each time to see the other credit has also disappeared. You should be asked of yourself stealing peoples money. Not responding and now I have list all my money. Appalling lack of service.

Very bad and misleading service. Had an issue with my app not showing my bookings even though they assured me I was booked, their app says no such booking found. Contacted their online support and was given the run around for over 30mins before getting in touch with a person. Told the person my issues and the reply I got was “well other people are experiencing it too” and just laughed. So I guess my stress caused by them is funny to them. Tried emailing them through their app and got a response of “email the hotel yourself”. Still no reply from Expedia and my issue still not resolved. Guess once Expedia takes your money they don’t care about you. You have to resolve all issues on your own with no help from Expedia whatsoever except to be laughed at cause they think your issues are amusing to them. Very bad experience dealing with them.

Dodgy booking. I booked a property through Expedia. My credit card got debited and I got a confirmation from the property as well as Expedia stating that my property was booked. After a couple of hours I got a message from the property owner that the property is no longer available for the booked dates and I should cancel my booking . If the property wasn’t available in the first place why did Expedia debit my card? Also when I tried to cancel the booking through Expedia, I was redirected to call VRBO. I had to make many calls to VRBO to get the property cancelled and have still not received my refund. Overall, a very poor customer experience.

Missing checked luggage. I can honestly say Expedia is the most unsupportive and unprofessional travel company I have ever dealt with . I booked flights from Dublin to New York on the uk website . I thought great luggage included . However when the confirmation came through checked luggage didn’t appear on itinerary. I called the customer support line ( only supporting Expedia’s interests ) even though I explained I was calling from Australia I was still kept on the line for 1.45 hrs . Only when I mentioned I had screen shots did Expedia offer for me to purchase my own checked bags and they would give me a $50 hotel voucher ! Really ! What I needed was what I paid !!!! In the end I had to book and pay for a lesser luggage weight with the promise of a refund to my bank acc and a $100 voucher to my Expedia account . Neither has occurred . I work hard and only expect a fair deal . Shame on you Expedia.

Don’t download this app they don’t care about u. I’ve just got to the airport and about to check in, only to find that there isn’t any ticket booked under our name. Check the app and it says cancelled, didn’t receive any notification. This happened twice. contacted them about the booking and response was sorry to hear about your situation and it’s not our fault the airline cancel the ticket and I’m not telling you about it but we will refund you. Why are you selling product that you don’t have and blaming on the airline. At the same time not notifying your customer about the change in their travel plan.

Fabulous apartments beautifully decorated and great location plus excellent service!. We stay 5 nights at the loft apartment at this building and it was one of most gorgeous apartments we have stayed at! Great location less than 10 minutes walk to the waterfront, great furniture and all amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. Joao at reception was super helpful and such a nice gentleman, and tools extra care to make my wife and I enjoyed our first trip to Lisbon. Lovely location and well connected to everything. I give this place a 10/10. My best from Melbourne, Australia Manoj Malkani

Great private guide with deep local knowledge. Phyo Phyo was recommended to us by a well travelled friend of ours and it surpassed all our expectations. He was always very polite, soft spoken and very customer centric. We set for him a challenge to select the best standard of every shop we went and he did it beautifully. His deep local knowledge allowed us to visit the real gems of the area. We visited the very few small temples that have paintings well preserved despite being hidden to the mass tourism. We wanted to try the local cuisine and he chose Sanon, which is a social project to train the youth to be able to better their lives in the hospitality industry. The food was safe, truly amazing and very well price. So Phyo Phyo blow us our minds again. If you want to be in safe hands, travelling in an a/c clean car knowing that you are going to have a unique experience I recommend to arrange his service in advance.

No response from Expedia over a booking issue. I had booked accommodation in Coffs Harbour recently for a return trip. On the drive there I was informed that due to a sudden COVID outbreak I needed to turn around snd get back home or else possibly have to cover costs for quarantine. I contacted the hotel to see if I could arrange a credit and they advised I would need to contact Expedia to act on my behalf. I emailed Expedia and almost a month later have had no response - very disappointing as I travel quite a bit when the borders are open - won’t be using them again

Flights. Connecting flight was not possible as there was insufficient time to get through to domestic airport as first flight was late so it was 24 hours from time we left SYDNEY to our destination and now we have had two changes to our flights from domestic to our international flight connecting us to go to Sydney so 4 hours wait to fly home not impressed !!

Stay away from this scammer app. Book a bali tour using this app, the tour guide didn’t show up and only contacted us 3 hours after the schedule tour asking if we want to schedule!? We ask for REFUND since the tour guide was a no show, and EXPEDIA is refusing our refund request?! That is straight up robbery!! Why keep our money for a service not rendered?! You bunch of scammers 😡🤬😡🤬😡 Edited to reply Your customer service is useless! I contacted them multiple times and they refuse to refund me because they cant reach the vendor!! Imagine that, I'm being punished for expedia failing to do their job. SCAMMER!

Please be more honest. App itself is simple enough to use. Just a couple of suggestions. 1. Please do not pre select travel insurance. Your app sometimes just charges for it anyway even if you unselect it. And its a pain having to email the insurance company separately, because you guys cannot provide the refund yourself. 2. A lot of click baits. Everytime there’s a good deal, when you click on “pay”, it will say “hate it when this happens! price just went up! Pay quickly!” I noticed this happens everytime with good deals and packages. If you repeat 10 times with the same deal/package, it will happen 10 times. It will show up as a good deal, when u click to pay, the sign will pop up. You guys are big enough...please dont fake the customers.

Good app which seems to mostly filter dodgy providers. The app is clean and well designed. Key to this kind of service is that they are not linking you to dodgy suppliers or locations. I find Expedia much better than most of the others – I’ve only had one bad experience. with booking..com I had heaps of bad experiences! The flights listed here are (sometimes) nowhere near as cheap as flights on other services that are dedicated to just flights. However, I have had lots of success with accommodation and Car hire.

Multiple charges. When trying to book with the app I was charged over a dozen times trying to book the flight . Every time I got to the final part of paying for the trip , it was telling me that it was not working and to try again in a few minutes . I did that several times and the got the same result . My bank then sent me a message stating that someone was billing charged to my account numerous times and put a block on my card for security reasons . I then looked at my bank account and was in shock that Expedia had accepted payment on every failed attempt I made to book with the app . I then called up the booking staff who successfully booked it for me over the phone . He mentioned that the reason that my problem occurred was due to me booking the last 3 seats on the flight which had the app confused as it wasn’t quite sure if someone else may have tried to book them at the same time and this stalled the app process in being able to complete the purchase . I only hope now that Expedia can help in refunding the moneys back into my account .

Dr Khaled. The customer service is not helpful at all and they don’t know what they are doing. I called to cancel a flight nearly 3 months in advance and they told me you can only get travel credit for it to use in the future but I can’t get a refund which I accepted. I received the credit and I called back to book a new flight which they gave me $4000 extra than the price appearing in app. They said the price changed while we are talking ( come on !!!) And I got a refund. So the first employer lied about the refund and the second one lied about the ticket price. Very unprofessional and all led to a delay in booking the flight I needed.

Unreasonable and non-accommodative. With covid voucher only 6 weeks to expire, Expedia expects us to book and travel prior to December month end. It sounds like they are more keen to clear out their credit logbook rather than helping their customers. Avoid at all costs! If you take a look at their responses on the App Store, it is always that they cannot respond via the store and ask you to raise the issue on their website. Granted it is a courteous manner, however the responses look like copy and paste from other responses. I seriously doubt that they would investigate the issue as stated in their response.

Difficult company to deal with. This company has stressed me out to the max. Their virtual service is useless - when a question gets too difficult they say they will look into it and then disable you. This happened 3 times! When you phone the agents in the Phillipines cut you off when they can’t answer a difficult question. Tried to have a Voucher reinstated- wasted over 3 hours attempting this and told it would be done in 72 hrs and then 72 hrs later spent another hour asking why it wasn’t reinstated and got cut off again. I’m sure they just hope you will give up which is the case here.

Never again Expedia has been disgraceful !!. Expedia has the worst customer service in the world. Phillipine airlines have canceled my flight. I have tried to contact the service support. I cannot get through to anyone. I'm still not even confident of speaking to anyone within the 72 hours before my booking. I would recommend to people to avoid this app at all costs.

Mystery Charge. I tried to make a flight and accommodation package booking which for some reason failed. Expedia suggested that I conduct the search for the package again. I discovered that my credit card had been charged for part of the package but as the booking had apparently failed, I didn’t receive a confirmation email. Therefore I don’t know if the payment is for flights or accommodation. I have checked for emails from Expedia, the airline and the hotel, but nothing. I made an enquiry to Expedia’s online site, but was told that they would put me through to an operator who could help, but so far I’ve heard nothing. I have potentially lost nearly $500 !!!

Me Eric Molloy. I have stayed at Mercure hotels all over the world Mercure little collins street Melbourne by far the worse in my opinion. if you are giving budget hotel standards the price should accomodate this. no house keeping for three days, elevator down for three days causing havoc; and not very safe over all. Room very small, the door hits the bed when you open it, and the shower you could hardly squeeze in Going on Mercure Legian, Melbourne should be 1 star. Very disappointed, would never stay there again.

Terribly unhappy with your service Expedia.. I’m terribly unhappy with your service. I tried to go on your virtual conversation. 4 hours there messaging you not even one came to answer me in virtual messaging. Why you still have this virtual messaging if no one is there to help your customers with their inquiries. All I need is a receipt of my travel that I have used the return ticket stating that I haven’t use my half ticket going back to Sydney due to the cancellation of my domestic flight. I haven’t made it on time for my international flight that I got the ticket with Expedia. Just a simple acknowledgment letter saying I haven’t used half of my international flight ticket and that according to your policy as you guys said. It’s not refundable. I need that letter so I can claim it on my travel insurance and why is it so hard to get that letter from you guys Expedia. While I bought my international flight ticket with you Expedia. Please look after your customers if you want them to buy flight tickets with you again. Make a better way to help your customers not just ignoring when they messed your help.

Watch currency conversion. After booking return flights believing this to be a good deal, was shocked when the conversion rate cleaned out my account. Contacted Expedia only to be told I needed to speak with the US office, spoke to several staff members only to be met with patronising inertia! Their conduct is unconscionable, I selected my countries currency on the app, included my countries home address only to be told it was my responsibility! Their app states they are not able to change the currency, nowhere in the app does it state that it’s American! Their solution is to cancel the flight wait the 72 hours for the money to hit my account and book through their Australian office! Not an option when I don’t have the money to do that and fare increases as times moves closer to travel time, they know all this too! Most unhelpful and distressing especially in extenuating circumstances!

Fun - relaxed - great value - quality family time. We were a family of 2 grandparents 2 parents & 3 children 5, 7 & 9 spread over 2 garden view rooms for 8 nights. Although the adults have been to Fiji a number of times it was our grandchildren’s first time outside Australia. We consider Fiji the number 1 choice for introducing young children to a different country and culture. Denarau Island is home to a number of quality resorts, we chose the Sheraton Fiji Golf Resort for its location, amenities and pricing. We all had an amazing stay with priceless family time. From the world class buffet breakfast through to great restaurants for lunch, dinner and room service there was plenty of choice to suit all ages. Our days were spent relaxing and eating by the pools, swimming and enjoying many resort cultural activities, games and just fun family stuff offered by the Sheraton and it’s amazing attentive staff members. Having a very affordable drop in kids club for the children gave us all time to relax and just chill when we needed some down time. We found the Rosie Tours on site booking desk a great way to organise our days and outside activities with the Bula Bus a convenient way to access even more restaurants and shopping at the nearby marina. Now we have just returned home we are planning when we will able to return an enjoy Sheraton and Fijian hospitality again.

Horrendous. After having our flights cancelled due to Covid and an email stating we would receive a refund, I have been on the phone over 10 times in the last 9 months trying to find out what’s going on. Each time, I get told I have to wait longer. At no point can anyone I speak to give me any idea of when my refund is meant to arrive. When I ask if I can speak to someone who can give me an answer, they simply refuse to put me through! I can absolutely appreciate the situation of covid, but if you put in writing I’m entitled to a refund, then you should be following through with that and not making me feel like you’re giving me the run around hoping I’ll just give up! Worst experience ever!!!!

Ibis budget Melbourne. Don’t expect anything fancy but I found it cheap, clean, well-located. As long as you know what to expect ie window all glazed so no outside view, wall aircon unit or floor heater unit, shower curtain around the sink & shower area with glass door for the shower, toilet has its own door/small area, the room is not large but has enough to have a very small 2 person round table, side tables & bed. But I just needed it to sleep then wander around Melb CBD so it suited that.

Very convenient and fast!!!!. Using app for the first time...flight and hotel in Manila completed in 15min. Fast, great layout and easy to use.

The app is beyond frustrating. I’ve changed the idiom 10 times, and finally it stuck. I’ve booked four different things yet is has no record of my itineraries and when I input my itinerary numbers it says they don’t exist. Then when I go to support they admit I have itineraries but the app itself won’t. Beyond frustrating

Fake permotion. On web says download the app and get 20% off . I downloaded the app creat the account and found 30% expensive tickets on app. Layer.

Absolutely horrific service. Arrived after 10 pm building three was closed… building one said to get Expedia to transfer reservation over to them and Expedia refused to assist in any way…. Rude service that doesn’t stand behind their service. Leave you stranded and offer no support if something happens… all they had to do was transfer the reservation… call building one and transfer the stupid reservation… nope instead have to pay full price at the other building ($30+more per night) and hope to god they don’t try to bill for the other reservation because they wouldn’t even cancel that one!!!!! Do not use Expedia!!!!!!

Wrong estimate price. I booked in canadian dollar but they charged me in usa dollar. Bad experience with expedia even i tried to get back to them then no response.

Bunch of Crooks. I have $1600+ in airline credits that Expedia is holding. Wish I never booked anything through these crooks. I’m trying to book a flight for me and my daughter to Anaheim to go to Disneyland. On Expedia’s website it CLEARLY shows each ticket is below $450 each. Expedia is telling me our flights are $800+ which I can see is a complete lie. These scammers should be put out of business. Just because I have credits and can’t book online they’re flagrantly ripping me off. Never again will I buy anything from these crooks again

No point in using this app. Rates are lower on average when you book through the hotels websites. Expedia doesn’t help you if you book a hotel that turns out to be horrible. Just a sorry can’t help. Useless app

Going nowhere. I’m trying to access and print my itinerary. I enter my email and itinerary number and tap view itinerary and it goes back to asking my email and itinerary number. I just want to print my upcoming trip itinerary. This use to be so easy to do not now

Walid. Very bad customer services

They didn’t own their mistake. here is my story hoping that we can share it with the public the people get aware of what has happened aiming that nobody will go through what I have been through. i booked a flight from Calgary to Lebanon on 4 August for a month after being almost 6 years away from my family . the main reason was to introduce my daughter who is 4 years old who was born in Canada to my family who didn't get to meet her in person. and the other reason that made me take that decision in spite of the unlivable situation in Syria is to see my siblings maybe for the last time on the land of Syria who are evacuating the country because of the economic crises in the country. so in long story short, it was our last meeting as a family in Syria until who knows when. i booked my flight through Expedia as a travel agent and here where the headache has started, after booking my flight for an affordable price and with a very convenient route, the airlines changed my flight to a very long inconvenient one 1 week before my trip. so i had to call Expedia assuming they would solve it for me and that is what they said after being on the line for 5 hours and after delaying my original booking for 2 days for a better flight they made me believe the issue was solved. I went to the airport on the 4 of August but they didn't allow us to fly because the tickets were not issued. i called Expedia and they denied that they made a mistake and they made me make calls back and forth spending a full day talking to them and to emirates airlines who booked me an alternative trip which was the one I refused when they made the change. Expedia was able to call the airlines directly preventing me from going through these back and forth phone calls since I'm a single mom of my 4 years old daughter. my baby had to go through this waiting time with me and through all that frustration. i accepted the replaced trip on 6 of august based on what Expedia promised to open an investigation and get back to me. i never heard from them and I went to Syria and came back. and I will list all the problems that Expedia caused: I had to redo the PCR test because I missed the first flight I had to take a cab from the airport to come back home when I missed my flight. I had to do a night stay in LOS Angelos because the layoff of the return trip was 30 hours. I had to take 2 cabs from and to the airport in the US. I had to check out my bags in LAX and carry them to the bus with my Daughter to go to the taxi area at the airport. the shameful part is that Expedia offered me $50 as compensation and later when I declined that they offer me a voucher to book a hotel just as an enforcement step to make me deal with them again.

Lying. Don’t buy tickets from Expedia because they are lying!

Please let me talk to a human. I've been trying for hours to get through to Expedia about my booking. Can't find a phone number and their help page has nothing that will help me. So frustrated and worried.

Keep upgrading this app. Would love to be able to book multi city trips and have had a lot of errors while booking hotel. Great app otherwise.

Price change. In the middle of my booking the price changed

Pourquoi on ne voit plus les point en attente. Avant on voyait les nombre de point en attente mais maintenant depuis que vous avez changer le système des points on voit juste points en attente sans que l’on sache combien de point sont en attente

Very bad. The worst ever

Horrible. The service is an absolute disaster They issued me 3 different e-tickets, then voided them and did not tell me. Nor have they updated my itinerary and it does not seem that they will.

Can’t use app unless update everything. App itself is very useful, but I HATE that it asks for updates all the time. If you don’t update, you can’t use it. It is so frustrating.! If I want to update the app, I have to update my IOS. And my phone is a relatively old one, so updating the system can be a bit of a problem. So basically what Expedia doing is telling me that people like me with old phones who can’t afford the newest versions of phones and systems SHOULD NOT BE WITH THEM. This is condescending, frustrating, and it causes such inconvenience in my life since I travel often.

Virtual agent. To force customers to cancel through Virtual agent which is not working is a terrible experience!

After a year and a half no answer on a car rental dispute in mexico. After endless phone calls (with promised of this being resolved in 48 hrs) online chats, emails (never returned) and anything else i could do to talk to a human who would not ‘pass the buck’….i am here. A negative review is the very least i could say. I have ALL the evidence, saved screen shots with expedia employees and when finally i was able to find an email address, i sent a message asking to send all my evidence in on paper. No response..this saddens me. At first it was Covid that was the excuse, now i see it as just down right poor customer service. After this i go to the media. We have a great news channel that specifically has a news caster who deals with these types of issues where the customer is being scammed. Fox Car rental should also be named here, they are also to blame. DO NOT RENT A CAR IN MEXICO #1 and NEVER THROUGH FOX CAR RENTAL AND DONT TRY AND BACK IT UP BY DOING IT THROUGH EXPEDIA FOR EXTRA PROTECTION AND TRANSPARENCY BECAUSE THEY DON’T CARE!!!! (that was specially told to me by an expedia employee, who clearly was saying this because of past history). RATHER THAT HELP THE CUSTOMER THEY HIDE BEHIND THE COMPUTER/PHONE…NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILBITY. EXPEDIA JUST KEEPS PASSING THE BUCK FOR IMMEDIATE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, BUT NOTHING EVER EVER HAPPENS!!! SO DISAPPOINTING EXPEDIA, SHAME ON YOU!!!

System technical issues all the time. Can’t even complete my order for flight tickets to Las Vegas!

Expedia is a scam, refuses to cancel a fully refundable booking. I booked a cancellable/refundable hotel, but Expedia keeps telling me they are ready unable to cancel the booking even though my booking confirmation explicitly states free cancellation. I cannot reach anyone who can help. Customer service agents do not understand what I am explaining, and copy and paste the same unrelated reply every time. I have been following up for three weeks and have gotten no help. It is like talking to a wall. This company is a scam.

Too many issues and will not use again. This was our family’s go to when booking travel. Now we are finished with Expedia. We had three separate issues this summer and got absolutely no satisfaction in resolving the issues. We purchased seats on a flight and Air Canada had no record of it. We booked a hotel that charged us ahead of time and refused to let us cancel. It was an absolute dive and I am shocked Expedia worked with them at all. Disgusting. I could go on and on. Never again, Expedia. Booking.com is our new go to.

Yes, you exceeded my expectations!. If you phone SpringHill Suites the automated message will say that their goal is to exceed your expectations. And they succeeded. I have nothing but great things to say about the facility, the service and the staff. Clean accommodations, great pool area for the family and such pleasant people. Nothing but friendly service over the phone and in person. Great team! I would highly recommend this hotel and the area for that matter as there is so many dining and shopping/supply options for a day before a cruise.

Required to change reservation. On hold for over an hour with no timeline as to when you would answer the phone. Will not use Expedia again.

Bait and switch scammy practices. I have tried renting a car on three different days. Every time I pick the car and enter my payment info within a minute. As soon as I hit "Reserve", I get a message "We hate when this happens. Your price increased ".

Does not support partial cancellation or flight changes.. Totally useless when you make partial changes to booking with 2 or more family members. This does not provide updates and the information is missing from the app causing last minute panic and stress.

Beware. Please please please beware when using this app. I recently booked a car rental in Canadian dollars and “somehow” it switched to saying I booked using US website and charged me in US currency. I’m out 220$ with ZERO help from Expedia. Honestly not worth the risk.

Hugh prices. Doesn’t matter how loyal I am to Expedia they still are an uncompromising lot

Not impressed. We had issues with our luggage, getting a shuttle to and from the resort. The resorts service was terrible and we have had way better service at less star resorts. Will not book an all exclusive through Expedia and we will not return to that resort.

Buggy. Gives incorrect flight times and chat feature does not work.

Flight credits. Expedia couldn’t process my credit and i wanted to book a new flight from you guys but they are taking so long

Useless. Keep signing out and cannot see any of my own itinera ry

Scam. I live here in Canada I booked a hotel in Halifax Nova Scotia to spend one night I booked a room through Expedia at $228 a night received an email for $446 called up shortly after cancelled my reservation and told me that I will not be refunded. But my reservation has been cancelled. After arguing with customer service for 20 minutes they said the only way for me to get a refund was for the hotel to approve a refund then Expedia will refund what’s owing we had a three-way call it was all approved it’s been five weeks and still no credit good job Expedia. Scam artists.

Awesome. The Expedia app is quick and simple! Wish I can use PayPal to pay, it seems only credit / debit only for now. I would recommend this app!!!

Gold Member Customer - Avoid. A 5 month nightmare. Had to cancel our Europe trip due to covid. Bookings.com, Airbnb and Hotels.com took care of all cancellations within 1 singular call and in Airbnb’s case no call just full reimbursements - I am over 30 phones calls in, countless days and night of hold and call time, including missing days of work, I am over 80 emails in and as of 30 minutes ago finally out and end to this stress mess created by you. - I was lied to(given false information) by Expedia numerous times. Had agents contradict themselves over and over. - I’ve had agents tell me they cannot do something such as call hotels/airlines then hang up and call back 10 minutes later to have the next agent call these hotels and airlines - Promised vouchers that I did not receive but given a $50 credit for the headache. Thanks that covers a lot....absolute joke - Had 2 managers hang up on me mid conversation, not disconnect, actually hang the phone up on me. Note no swear words or threats were made. 1 of these occurred last night - I was hung up on while on speaker with my 60 yr old parents listening and spouse. My spouse has video footage which she will be sharing to social media. - I was told countless times Expedia would call me back or be returning my emails once they got answers. Not once did I receive a call back, and emails I had to follow up on in order for them to respond. I had the hotels following up with me personally before Expedia. - the first month after numerous attempts none of my requests were even processed. I finally got a supervisor on the phone who handled a good portion of the mess and was completely blown away how nothing was handled prior. Apologized over and over. - Now to cap it off my last reservation was a travel credit through air Canada, I followed Expedia’s step by step process on how to use this travel credit which I planned to do yesterday. I sent them the exact itinerary of what I wanted to book for less than the travel voucher but Expedia insisted I had to pay over $1000 to secure this booking so after 14 hours of calls/emails to both air Canada and Expedia - it was air Canada who confirmed Expedia is in fact not booking the itinerary you requested they are booking you in premium Economy. Everything Expedia told me about air Canada was not true. I tell Expedia this and they still tell me there is no economy seats available. BUT I CAN BOOK THIS ECONOMY SEAT THROUGH THEIR EXPEDIA WEBSITE as well as multiple other booking platforms but no Expedia stated there ticketing is what’s accurate. AIR CANADA AGAIN CONFIRMED THIS WAS IN FACT NOT TRUE. So 2 supervisors and 3 agents tell me this seat is not available when it %100 is! I can’t book it on my own dime right this second. So then I change the travel plans to accommodate Expedia and then they tell me this credit does not cover airport taxes and I will also have to pay another tax on top of this so again I am out hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Expedia insists there is nothing they can do and I am out of luck. So I again call air Canada and I actually had the air Canada agent laughing at how incompetent YOUR team is. So she had me record a step by step process to play to your agents on how to process me a AIR CANADA TRAVEL VOUCHER which she said all the staff at Expedia should know and should have offered you. THIS WILL ELIMINATE ALL FEES and allow me to use my full credit as I see fit. I had multiple Expedia employees tell me there was nothing they can do and I have to eat the cost. So if I would have shut my mouth my parents would be out 1000’s of dollars on Christmas Eve. So I call Expedia back and they process my parents the A.C.T.V. is less than 3 minutes. Expedia is now cut out of the equations. The incompetence, lack of communication and disrespect your team has shown is truly disgusting. I am a gold member, I have never in my life gone out of my way to write a bad review for anyone so this is a first. I will never in my life book another trip through you again, nor will anyone in my family and be sure to share these stories everywhere I can. You have screwed me and my family over and over again. Sincerely a once loyal Expedia Gold Member

Terrible experience. I book a place with this Vrbo and Expedia be very careful cause the cancel my booking without telling me anything now I have flights and tickets for places and not place …. Sooo frustrating

Can they cheat us this way??. So I’m trying to book a car, mid sized SUV for my travel in May. I was online on my laptop, a mid sized SUV is 184$ and I was like it’s okay price for couple of days and I clicked the RESERVE button and wallah!! Immediately the next webpage popped up saying “the price gone up to 250$, the prices change often so lock this price right now”. I was like what the hell?! For the past 2 days the price stayed at 184$ and all of a sudden how can it change? Anyways, I tried to refresh the page to see may be I will get lucky, nothing changed! I tried again.. and later after an hour I realized there were three pending charges of 184$ from Expedia! I was literally in shock and there was no email saying I got the car reservation, omg! All night I couldn’t sleep. Next morning the same, no email and the charges are still showing and finally in the evening the charge disappeared from the account, thank good ness. Never have I ever experienced such stress! Oh, if you guys thinking why didn’t I contacted some one, yes I tried it always goes to virtual assistance AI to answer. I don’t know whether they have any customer service at all?! Now it makes me think if I should risk to book from Expedia or not!

Very sad. App doesn’t work on I phone so I have to do things on paper

Gross. We arrived around 8pm after 14 hours of driving and were greeted by a lovely front desk worker. Was swift with check in. However…. The hotel was filthy. Elevators are destroyed. Dirty hand marks everywhere. We got to our room and there was a large ring of black mold in the tub. I went to get another room. That room had wallpaper falling off to expose more mold by the a/c. To top it off, my friends room had a blood stain on her bed. We left.

Do not book through Expedia. I had a worst experience for booking my vacation through Expedia. I called to have some information, and all 3 agents that talking to them didn’t know anything about their package, like Free transit, the distance from beach and extra, and when finally I booked, right away I found out that the spelling of my name was wrong, just one word. I sent the email and asked them to correct my mistake, and no reply from them. When I finally called them they charged me $50 for correcting the spelling, and when I complained he told that it was mentioned in terms and conditions!!! I was really upset as I am a gold member of Expedia. I will never get back to Expedia as they don’t appreciate loyalty.

No end of problems. A true pain to use Can log in on the laptop but not the app

Cheap?. I downloaded this app just out of curiosity and when i tryed to look up for some flights, skyscanner always found approximately 40% cheaper flights on the exact same dates 😂

Terrible customer service. We booked a hotel room through phone call and when we got the bill via email, we saw that they have charged us more than 20% for tax (when they charge 11% on the Expedia App) PLUS $14.99 for reservation fee (which the hotel said they never charge people for that). I Called the customer service 3 times and at the end they only waved the reservation fee which they shouldn’t have charged us in the first place and they didn’t. Had to pay $32.14 TAX for a ROOM PRICE of $153 per night. That’s insane that they can charge different percentages for TAX for the SAME ROOM and SAME PRICE.

Problème d’accès. App très instable. Ne reconnaît pas mon identifiant et/ou mot de passe. Je dois toujours demander un changement de mot passe mais rien ne fonctionne. Je vais contacter les hôtels directement. Ce sera plus simple.

Lack of Customer Service. I booked a motel last minute. I called the motel if they were ok with us checking in really late as we were in road and needed a place to sleep for a few hours. The motel confirmed and said it was fine and to go ahead and book. After booking we get a call about 40 mins away from the motel that the it was late and she receptionist wants to go sleep and does not want to wait. We got charged and had to sleep in the car since every other place was booked. I followed up with Expedia and they pretty much did not do anything. Told me they will call me back and follow with the motel which they did not do. Been a loyal customer on Expedia for pretty much my entire travels. Very disappointment!

Messed up my hotel. I asked for the person who was helping me to book two rooms to make sure the hotel hot tub is going and I arrived to find out that it wasn’t and it ruined our night

Canada/USA bookings don’t work. I can’t use the app if I book from Expedia.com so when I try to find my itinerary it cannot. And I cannot download Expedia.com only the Canadian app. Not helpful at all.

Server down all the time. App unreliable . Couldn’t locate a booking

Lost a hotel night. I booked two hotel nights however when we realized that our arrival time put us after the closing for the car rental we called Expedia to see if we could make a change. I spoke to the Expedia representative, she informed me my booking was nonrefundable, but she would call the hotel and ask if they would give permission to make the change. She made the call, said the hotel gave the permission and for me to call the hotel to confirm; which I did. The Expedia rep told me I just needed to get a receipt from the hotel to show I was there for one night and submit it upon my return for reimbursement of this single day. Once the OK was given by Expedia and the hotel to change the booking to one night I made a reservation for a hotel across the street from the airport. We arrived at the Expedia hotel the following day and when it came to checking out and I asked for a receipt and they said that needed to be obtained from Expedia since I booked through them. I called Expedia and, of course, spoke to another rep who informed me my booking was nonrefundable. I explained the above and he gave me, essentially, a verbal shrug of the shoulders and that was that – no reimbursement, and no recourse, no use of Expedia in the future.

Expedia does not care about the customer at all!. This company is a joke. They have a search engine that suggests an airport is “nearby” when it is 14 hours driving time away from the destination. If you try to make adjustments within 24 hours of your purchase, they are more than happy to tell you they can’t help you and that the customer is at fault. I spoke with supervisors and managers as well as their social media company. None of them care about you at all. The best part is that this was all over $80. Imagine if I had actually booked my entire trip through them using their broken search engine! Use literally any other travel service for your next trip. My credit card company made me whole, no thanks to Expedia and their awful customer service. Have heard very similar stories in the last couple of weeks over way more money including stealing one of my friends reservation for over $1k. Here is the good news. After I stopped using this awful company, I tried a different travel service and their rates were way more affordable. Checkout Klook the next time you need to book a trip and stay as far away from Expedia as possible.

Expedia is a scam. Always book your flights with the airlines directly. They are cheaper and have actual customer service. Not many of them understand english. If you want to change a flight, they will charge you twice the ticket price and their customer services reps have no clue what is going on. 2 hour hold times 24/7 and then customer service will randomly hang up on you. ex: I had a flight for $300 and I needed to change the departing city. The app itself doesn't allow you to change the departing city in a two way flight, so you have to go to the virtual agent. The virtual agent only lets you change your flight to the next week which makes no sense. After an hour of struggling, I was finally able to get the city changed. The change costed me $144 despite the new ticket by itself costing only $61. I paid $444 for a flight that if I had booked with the airlines directly would have only cost me $61. Customer service is near impossible to get in contact with, they scam you out of hundreds of dollars and then refuse to assist you or explain how they came up with these insane charges. Save your money, time and sanity by avoiding this disastrous scam of a company.

How much I LOVE Expedia service. I have been using Expedia for the last 15 years for hotels, transportation, airflight and cruises .I have not ever been in conveying, disappear with there service. I will recommend them to all my friends and family. I love the package. When you put a car rental, hotel and airfare together and then No NO ONE can beat their price. when we fly out the country we get transportation from the airport to our hotel through Expedia also. another good thing about Expedia is when we had to cancel because of personal reasons we was refunded all our hotel money all our car rental money and our flight money was put aside for a later flight so we lost no money through Expedia which was great for us. And on top of all that you receive points that you can use at any time and get a free hotel, free rental or free flights you just can’t beat Expedia I really like booking with Expedia thank you Expedia for all your great service and pray that we continue to work together for our travelers

Slow service.. We, along with many others, waited for over an hour to get the rental car that was preselected A D prepaid through our Expedia app. After not only the lengthy wait for the car, And the line to have our reservation verified ,and not to mention the Disneyland winding, super long line for the shuttle, we we told that they didn’t accept our State Farm’s insurance and we HAD to go with their insurance plan.( more $$) Then when we finally got our rental car, upon exiting the garage we had to stop by the guard gate and were told that we needed to pay some kind of check out fee. We pre paid all our expenses through a package plan through Expedia and felt that we were subjected to miscellaneous extra fees upon arriving at Thrifty rental. The employee at the gate didn’t ask again for extra money/fee. We will never be choosing to use Thrifty/Dollar rental again. They didn’t have cars available to those of us that had reserved them in advance, and there were many unhappy others, which ended up costing precious vacation time and money. I have rented many cars while on vacation, but have NEVER encountered such incompetence/disorganization in a company.

Zero stars, BEWARE OF INSURANCE WHEN YOU PAY. Beware they sneak the insurance in and if you aren’t very careful not to make sure it’s declined or unselected you are stuck. I contacted Expedia within minutes of realizing it was selected and paid for but they said they could not refund. Insurance then contacted and they told me Expedia has to issue refund. I was one hour from hotel and did not need or want insurance when I booked but they have a nice scam going to screw the customer. This should be a class action lawsuit. How many millions in total are they tricking customers out of?! Update: oh yes after this review they emailed wanting me to contact them with details. They have my details. They just want to look like they are taking care of it publicly. They aren’t. What link did they give me to contact them? Of course the same link that takes me to the chat which they have a recording of me calling in twice already to try to fix this. Their customer service lied about not being able to refund twice with two separate agents. I repeated and politely said I wanted the supervisor and they would not connect me. And said they could not refund me within minutes of purchase. I’m telling you this is a scam. And should be a class action lawsuit.

Glitchy. I used this app for the first time this year. I had several issues with it that resulted in lowering my rating. First, I booked my trips on the website, then downloaded the app. Not all of my reservations loaded in the app and it appeared to be due to the auto-generated email address the app created for me. I couldn’t get any reservations made under my real email address to convert to the app. Second, I needed to update/cancel a booking on two different occasions. Anytime I attempted through the app I received a notice that the service was down and the request couldn’t be completed. I had to use the website to actually manage the bookings, which is counterintuitive. Finally, I stayed in two very poor hotels and wanted to give reviews. The app generates a link to use when reviewing. However, it’s not a hyperlink so you have to cut and paste into your browser. I attempted this multiple times, only to be told the link wasn’t legitimate. - I’ve traveled extensively throughout the world and this was the first time I’ve ever used Expedia. I believe other sites/apps are easier and don’t expect to use them again.

Absolute worst customer service advice I’ve ever seen!. I’m trying to book my trip which includes my flight and rental car, and I’ve been trying to book this for several weeks. I pick my flights, ok done! I continue to book my rental car and the page continues saying it’s having technical issues, so…. I cannot reserve my car. Try after try I finically contact an agent to chat about the issue. This agent tell me to book with a different rental vendor and I once again explain that NONE of the vendors are showing up and the rental car portion of the booking is NOT working. He suggests I reserve a shuttle. What!? I have a week long trip that requires a vehicle in which I need. I have several hours of driving to get to my destination from the airport and he’s suggesting a shuttle!? No solution other than “book a shuttle”. I’ve used Expedia for many years to book many trips and I’m done. I’m sorry but I will no longer use this company for future trips. What a joke! I wish I could post this screenshots of this conversation with your Expedia agent because I’m complete dumbfounded by his suggestions and lack of understanding the information I am telling him. Ridiculous.

Totally unreliable. Arrived in Melbourne for first time ever at 11:00PM from Fiji. Picked up our luggage and cleared customs and walked out and saw 20 drivers holding signs of names of people they were picking up. No driver was there. We then had to call driver’s phone # at $1.00/minute on our cell phone. He said he was 7 minutes out and didn’t speak English very well. He didn’t provide us a description of his car or license plate or provide clear directions as to where to meet him. I called 800# of Elite and they were supposed to have dispatch call us. After wasting an hour at airport and it was now 12:40 AM we walked to terminal #1 from terminal #2 to catch cab and had to pay $70 more dollars for cab to our hotel. Also we tried calling 800# after 12:15 AM and number was no longer operational. Would never use this service again. Extremely Disappointed. Driver was new and never connected with us. Now I’m out over $100 US and never received any service from this absolutely Terrible Transportation Company. Why Expedia has a relationship with them and list them as a transportation company totally tarnished the Expedia company for me. Rating is No Stars and a total disappointment

Cancelled my hotel that was booked 2 months ago. I received a call from a rep at Expedia as I was leaving the airport for my hotel. I booked for 6 days at the Hilton, Dedham for my sons hockey tournament because it was close to all the rinks. I was on the phone 3 hrs 3.18 minutes and was switched to 3 different hotels and just as we were finishing up snd my credit card was charged, there was a problem with the hotel so we were switched to another. The lady was so hard to understand from Expedia. Finally I found a hotel out of the way that was available so I had asked to book me there while I stood at the front desk to make sure there was no problem. I was given a confirmation number by the Expedia rep and I went to dinner (this all started at 5 pm and now it’s 10 pm). I got a call from the hotel while at dinner and was told Expedia never got back to them with a payment. Long story short, I had my credit card charged twice over $1000 each by Expedia and still ended up having to pay the hotel myself so I had a room to sleep in. I am beyond upset and cannot reach anyone at Expedia. I need this taken care of ASAP and I should get something for wasting a good part of a day and I still don’t have a room for the next 5 nights. Extremely POOR service!

Hotel reservations. Went to reserve a hotel room. I put all the information that it needed, which meant my credit card. It charged me and everything. Then the app quit working and it didn’t give me a itinerary number or anything. So I called Expedia and explain to them that you charge me and that I got no itinerary number or a receipt saying that my room was reserved. The guy did not understand at all. He kept asking me if I wanted an upgrade and I said no I don’t want a upgrade you charge me for a room that I didn’t get The guy went on telling me there was nothing for him to do. I told him okay then I want my money back cause you charge me twice which I saw in my bank account. He told me I had to call my bank and figure it out. I am not going to call my bank for something you did. So after fighting over the phone with him for about 10 minutes about how he couldn’t do anything, he finally said that those 2 charges will be in my back on my card in 24 hours to about 48 hours. I will not be reserving anything off of Expedia again. I understand that the app will sometimes freeze, but when it does, they need to have better costumer support and not tell me to fix the mistakes they made.

Frustrated and disappointed. I am not pleased with Expedia. I scheduled a rental car and did not get collision coverage. I received an email telling new it’s not too late to add it in. I clicked the button and tried 5+ times to add it but it kept saying “sorry please try again later”. I tried to add it directly on the app and same thing. I called and was given another number to call. Called that number and was given a third number. I called 3rd number and spoke to someone and they transferred me. I was on hold 20 min and had to hang up because I had somewhere to be and was already running late from over an hour being tossed around. My husband said “it’s fine, it says on the email you can add it when you pick the car up”. I just picked the car up and Budget said they could not honor the $10/day rate, that’s thru Expedia. I called the 3rd number again and the gentleman from the insurance agency said it could only be authorized by an Expedia supervisor. He had no authority and no back door access. Needless to say I did not pay the $30/day collision coverage thru budget. I WILL NOT GO THRU EXPEDIA AGAIN. My time is valuable and I don’t like being treated this way. It’s disheartening and frustrating. Not worth it to me at all! Dr. & Mrs. Barrier

Horrible Customer Service. Expedia canceled a segment of a flight reservation for a member of my family. Never requested the cancellation nor did Expedia tell us about the cancellation. Discovered it after arriving at Denver airport to fly to NY. Learned 3 of us had reservations, but not my son. We had all flown to Denver, but Expedia canceled his flight home from Denver to Chicago. He had a flight from Chicago to NY, but was apparently supposed to hitchhike to Chicago. We had to scramble at Denver to find him a flight home on a different airline. Airlines won’t help because you booked with Expedia. Good luck getting assistance from Expedia while stranded in an airport with flight time fast approaching for other 3 family members. Repeated calls to customer service were ignored. Expedia took my money and then failed to deliver flights. Ignored requests for a refund. Don’t use them for anything but price comparison information. ALWAYS book direct with airlines or hotel. Expedia customer service call centers are in Philippines and language issues are abundant if you can even get someone on the phone. Don’t do it!! You can get the same price by dealing direct and if you have a problem customer service may actually serve the customer.

The travel agency you can trust. I found international tickets from the google flights then checked through several travel agencies. Finally I settled down with Expedia. After booking is done, Expedia website amd app were unable to show me my upcoming trips and gave out “sorry, something went wrong on our end”. Expedia agent verified my flight reservation multiple times from Expedia system and the flight airlines (contact agent in the help chat). They ensured my itinerary would show up a bit later on my account and it did after a few hours later. Of course, we also double checked our tickets from the airlines. Getting reasonable International flight tickets has been difficult ever so far. We read many reviews about other travel agencies that spit out low fares which look unimaginably good although those fares are still more expensive than before the pandemic. Realized there would be a low chance of getting the tickets you actually purchased with them. I found really good prices with other agencies and talked with their reps within a few minutes. Most of time they told the tickets i saw were not available. Also they told me they had to cancel customer’s purchases because of the same reason. Looks like some of the cancellation did not guarantee a full refund according to the comments available on review sites or BBB. So I would say you would not go wrong with Expedia if you find good fares and purchase with it. Hope all of you have a wonderful summer and be safe!!

What has happened to customer service?. Be careful! I needed to change my itinerary a couple of times on the website in the same evening and hit the “change itinerary” button under the one I had booked. A message came up that said, “search for a new flight“. Long story short, instead of changing my itinerary it created two new ones, and I ended up booking three flights for the same day! When I discovered this I called customer service, and they kept saying they needed to have a supervisor call me back. They assured me a supervisor would call me back. No one ever has. I have been working on this for 4 to 5 days now. I have made numerous calls, and I’m always assured someone will call me back to help me with the issue. Expedia will not refund my money, but will only offer a flight credit, which a SUPERVISOR will supposedly issue when they call me back. I am sick of going round and round in this loop with Expedia, who used to have excellent customer service. Not anymore! I will think twice before ever using them again after this fiasco. No refund of hundreds of dollars for 2 unusable flights, thanks to their app either glitching or misleading. It is unfortunate I didn’t catch it sooner, but in my opinion this is on them.

So far a complete disaster!!!. My wife and I are on our 25th wedding anniversary trip and we don’t travel much and don’t typically spend a lot on travel, but for the special occasion we saved and spent a considerable amount to take a really nice trip and “do it up” a little. We booked with Expedia six months in advance and the night before our trip (last night) we started getting delay messages from American Airlines. When we got to the airport in MPLS this morning we found out it was an error. Our flight was supposed to be 1st class to Dallas and then on to the Florida keys. That said, they couldn’t get us back on our original flight and we had to take 3 connecting flights with no special accommodation. They told us to talk to each gate to discuss getting upgraded to which we were met with laughter and contempt for us even asking. I reached even reached out to Expedia which hasn’t responded. I would strongly recommend against booking anything through either of these companies if you can avoid. The sad part is we’re not even to our final destination and it has already been a nightmare. I hope the resort makes up for the experience so far if or when we get there.

Crooks!!!!. I would have left a zero star if possible. My wife typed in the search bar for flights from Philadelphia “PHL” to Atlanta “ATL”. She booked a flight and after printing the ticket she noticed the first flight was from Trenton NJ. She called and explained the situation and they still charged us $109 to change the ticket. She obviously explained that a flight from Trenton should have never shown up in a search from Philly. Not to mention why would anyone park at one airport then return to another? That’s ridiculous! They refused to make good on their search engine mistake. Trenton should’ve never been included in Philly flights. I have used Expedia quite a bit but will NEVER EVER use them again. What happened to the days of “the customer is always right”? By the way they did the same search as she did and saw that Trenton came up and admitted it shouldn’t have. Then the Superviser lies through his teeth and told her “we can see here that you did indeed type in and search for Trenton flights as well!!! Why the hell would anyone flying out of Philly search for Trenton flights then fly back to Philly. They literally lied through their teeth! Dishonest and disgraceful! You should be ashamed Expedia!!!!!! We’ll be using Kayak from now on.

Lifestyle hotel. While I wasn’t sure what “lifestyle” meant but the soccer decor seemed to indicate as did people lounging in the lobby, we checked in for a long weekend. Our assigned room was on the 11th floor, elevators worked fine and the view was of an old brick building under extreme renovation. We pulled the shade and didn’t worry about it. We were okay with the cleanliness of the room, although the headboard was a little dusty. It was small but adequate. The problems that developed that night were a backlit television we couldn’t find a way to turn off and and leaking shower gasket that flooded the bathroom. I got instructions for the tv light while my husband arranged for shower door repair. Shower was repaired but tv light continued as a problem. We again got instructions to turn the light off and yes, we did it! Except it came back in like a phantom in the middle of the night… Staff tried to be helpful. We were grateful for them but it seems the backlit tv is decor and part of the lifestyle we didn’t accommodate to very well. All in all, not great but not terrible either.

Disappointed. I wouldn’t even give a star but I have to pick something. I booked a hotel with the app and chose the next day and check out the day after that. I paid the $1 to cover any problems if we had to cancel. Then when I went to cancel the day after booking which would have been the day we checked in later I was told that I couldn’t get my money back because I booked it for the day before. I triple checked the dates I entered and even hit the dates on the calendar for that Friday and check out Saturday. But they said I can’t get my money back because I was a no show. Yea because I booked it for the day after not the same day I submitted the booking. I am very disappointed in Expedia and their site and will never be using them again. Which is disappointing because we will need to book lots of hotels coming up due to our baby needing surgeries further from home and lots of appointments where it will be easier to get a hotel the night before. You lost lots of business from us. So anyone using this app or Expedia make sure when you book and get confirmation that it shows the correct dates because otherwise you will get screwed out of money. We lost almost $200 because of them when we could use that money for our baby’s doctor bills.

Horrible Customer Experience. I'm fuming right now after using this app. I've used it many times before and never had so much trouble but I'm feeling livid this time around. I tried booking a trip and received the error "We're unable to complete your booking. Please wait a moment and try again". No reason for what's going on just try again. Fine. Only I checked my bank account and have instant charges from Delta Airlines with no ticket or confirmation of successful purchase to go with it. The charge is only for one of 3 tickets, so that's also concerning. I tried calling customer service many times but there is no getting past their terrible robot costumer service without a booking number. None was ever issued. If we're far along enough in the process for you to charge me random amounts, you need to let me call you or ask someone what's going on. I 'waited a moment and tried again' and the same thing happened all over again. I kept an eye out for a booking number, other customer service option, and I'm sitting here with no idea how to fix this situation short of calling my bank. Terrible customer experience. I'm done with Expedia.

Family trip gone wrong and then made right. After going on our first family trip to universal studios Orlando we tried to save money and purchase tickets through Expedia.. unfortunately the purchase was made for universal Hollywood... After freaking out because the purchase was over $$900 and they informed me there was a strict no refund policy I really was devastated... We were able to come up with the funds to enter Orlando but we were out the $900... After communicating with supervisor after supervisor they were able to contact Hollywood and ask for a refund. .. it took a few weeks but I was refunded the entire amount and they kept in contact with me throughout the entire process.. I'm definitely extremely grateful they went the extra mile to make that happen..I have a large family and we saved up for that family vacation for a while .. We will definitely be using Expedia again because the customer service was great!

Experience with reservation to Merida. It is a hassle to contact customer service. A real hassle. Don’t even try. It is impossible. The automated chat bot is terrible. Terrible. If you are already outside of the US. It is nearly impossible to contact Expedia. I reserved hotel, car and air travel. Leaving from hermosillo Mexico to Merida Mexico. The plane service is good Aeromexico. The hotel is regular Hampton Inn Merida. The continental breakfast is not good at the Hampton Inn. Now the car rental. It is disappointing to travel all day to find that the vehicle I reserved thru Expedia with Europcar is a scam. A scam. Disappointed. I went to the Europcar rental office and found that the vehicle I already paid with a prior receipt and payment wasn’t honored. I also purchased extra insurance protection and that wasn’t honored either. They didn’t even recognized Expedia as a service provider. A real scam. They didn’t know of the existence of AIG as an insurance provider. A true work of theft to the loyal customer. A theft. I ended up paying $450 dollars for the rental. A garbage vehicle. Garbage. I contacted Expedia thru chat and their representative just to receive the answer that my trip already started and they couldn’t do anything to provide a refund for a service that I paid for and previously reserved. A real scam.

Never finalized flight tickets!. Tried booking a flight through Expedia, thought everything was good to go only to find out the morning of our flight that we couldn’t check-in. We called Delta to see what was going on only to be told our reservation was cancelled. So we called Expedia, long story short, our initial call with Expedia was disconnected while we were booking flight tickets. They returned the call moments later and we missed that call however we called them right back and booked our flight. We were even able to get on to Delta’s site with our confirmation number and select our seats. Morning of the flight we go to check in and nothing was there. This was obviously Expedia’s mistake and we had to book tickets the day of flight resulting in paying more for the flight. Nothing could be done to remedy the issue but a sorry about your luck. Terrible customer service, we will never use Expedia again!

12:30pm. At 11:15pm, I made a reservation through Expedia for a motel room for my son in Escondido, California. Five minutes later he called me to tell me his truck broke down and he couldn’t make it. I immediately called Quality Inn and told them to cancel the reservation. When I asked them to please refund my card - it’s amazing how fast Expedia charges your card!! - they informed me they couldn’t do that as only Expedia could! Within 10 minutes, I called Expedia and was told I’d be refunded by 9am! That was March 22, it’s now April 27,2020! After 30+ phone calls and emails, they have both lied to me over & over! The motel says only Expedia can refund me, Expedia says the motel won’t authorize it, and the manager says they-Expedia-aren’t telling the truth! Now the last excuse from the supervisor at Expedia is that the hotel charged them, therefore they can’t refund me!!!! Many calls to Expedia had me waiting 20-30 min. Only to be discontinued! Most of their phone employees don’t speak English enough to easily understand them and I had to ask them to repeat and repeat! It’s not so much about the money but the principal!! Their website says Free Cancellations!!!This is the most unethical company and I, and all my friends, will never use them again!!!!

Location, Location, Location!. Perfect place to stay if you enjoy easy access to the marina and the beach. It is a small and quiet resort. Which we like because we go as a family and not the party scene. Which was cool for us 20 years ago ;) Service staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is trying to sign us up for the marketing sales pitch at their sister resort as soon as we checked in. When we politely said no, the front sales staff became rude and wouldn’t acknowledge us the entire week we were there. Not a biggie, but it’s polite to at least say hello or good after afternoon when passing by. What they forget to tell you is you can still go to the sister resort 10 mins away and enjoy the luxurious pools and view and also includes the all inclusive if you have that package. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. We also didn’t need the sales pitch for discounts on activities. We met a very nice young man at the marina who took great care of us setting up the clear fiberglass boat and the dolphins experience.

DO NOT USE THIS APP. My house burnt down, so I was trying to find discount hotel rooms to stay as an emergency housing until I’m settled I booked with Expedia which is nonrefundable and got to the hotel. The hotel had overbooked and sit on my five people Expedia trying to rebook for the last two weeks has informed me that they are a total rip off they themselves have told me will you call the 800 number or Customer Care they charge you more through that than the actual app the app is cheaper they will tell you it cost more if you called them then to use the app so you don’t always get the best deal, if you call them you do not get a good deal at all. I’ve gotten the worst deals ever and to make matters worse. They don’t seem to care that they even charge you more. You can’t use the filters if you try to filter out pricing if you do a price range and say dog pet friendly it’s still pulls up everything outside that price range everything blow it and everything above it. If you select certain parts of the city, it’s still does not give you the thing you selected it gives you every other place around the city the filters do not show do not do not get this app. This company just totally cheats you and overcharges you. James

Ali. A. I've been using Expedia for many years and love the services provided, however I was Very disappointed when I came across a situation where I really needed their customer service. Booked through Expedia for the land of legends in Turkey. Put in the ages of my kids as there were. Chose to pay for the reservation at the hotel. When I got to there, I felt cheated as I was told by the hotel front desk that I had to pay an extra $1000 and that Expedia did not report ages to the hotel and therefore Rate change apply. I had to pay the difference because I did want my kids to enjoy the place. I called Expedia many many times complaining, they did take the calls, they did acknowledge the mistake and that I did provide the ages and number of kids correctly. I was hoping to get a full refund of the difference or close to it. All customer service agents were very kind, however the final person who had the final saying was very rude. The outcome was that I got $200 back and was $800 poorer. I still love to use the app and hope that Expedia did make the changes necessary for other travelers not to go through the ordeal.

Nice & cozy!!!!. This was a very nice & cozy stay before our cruise in Miami. We were very pleased with the room, the amenities, and especially with the owner, Sam. I can not say enough about him beginning with having to contact him after hours because I got a little lost for not paying attention to my directions. He immediately text back & stayed on the phone until I was in my unit. Who does that??? Sam!!! He was just as personable when meeting him Saturday morning . Hubby and I could have talked with him for hours. He is so kind & welcoming. The location was just a walk away from the Beach & a few blocks down from all the great restaurants & live music. Unfortunately, being Good Friday the restaurants were very busy and the wait times were long by the time we got ready & headed out to eat & were not able to dine there. If you are looking for a great gem to stay with in walking distance of everything, this is your place! Thank you Sam , we will definitely be returning when we cruise again!

Nightmare trip from Springfield Illinois. I booked a vacation from Springfield to Cabo San Jose Mx all inclusive Barcelona Gran Faro San Jose for 3. My daughter is special needs and will not wear a mask she has all her shots. The attendants at the airport told me to get on the flight with my friends and she would get it cleared through the Airline and her and my husband would be on next flight. I was crying I need not want to leave them. When I arrived at Cabo I got the news that were not going to come. I was devastated I called Expedia several times and they were unable to help me get back home the American Airlines said it would cost me $3,000 or more for a ticket home I was stuck 7 days no family the suit case I received was my daughter nothing for me. I had no makeup, no clothes,no medicine, no toothbrush, nothing!! I had no money my husband had it. They did sent my luggage 4 days later and when I got home they charged me for 3 bags $30 each. We have useful Expedia before I cannot believe the treatment I got here I was in a foreign country and no one would help me. I believe I should receive some kind of refund I will be telling everyone even the media if I don’t receive some kind of response!!

Scamming people for money!. I booked a hotel in Mexico City through Expedia, paid for the whole stay period in advance. I was supposed to check in on October 24th before midnight. Before booking I was notified that if I cancel the booking on October 24th, or no-show, the refund will be granted with a fee equal to the first nights rate plus taxes. I wasn’t able to check in, because I was denied entry into the country at the airport check point. I was refunded $0, out of $1025 I paid for the hotel. When I asked Expedia for the refund, they told me that they contacted the hotel, and the hotel is refusing to refund. We called the hotel, and their manager told us that because of a no-show, they canceled the booking right away, and that we should ask Expedia for a refund, to which Expedia once again did nothing. And as a bonus, it’s impossible to get hold of an agent, when I called them, the robot is asking for the itinerary number and other booking information, I give them all the information necessary, and they just tell me that they can’t find a booking and try later. Tried multiple times to no avail. If you want to book a hotel or something, save yourself time and money, don’t use Expedia! Very disappointed!

Don’t use Expedia. I’ve used Expedia for over 10 years faithfully. In March 2021 I booked a two night stay at a hotel in Satellite Beach, FL and upon arrival found bed bugs and or bodily fluid stains covering beds in a very unsanitary hotel, “Americas Best Value Inn Satelite Beach”. I called Expedia and explained situation to agent and he assured me that the second night would be refunded by Expedia but that I would have to work with the hotel for a refund of the first night which I attempted to do only to have the owner or manager tell me to never come back to his hotel and then he hung up on me before I could say anything. Now I receive an email from Expedia saying that they are not refunding me anything and that it was never promised. This is not only a lie but it is also against there refund policy. At worst I would only pay for the first night stay if cancelled after 3 PM on the first day. However in this situation I of course was not going to sleep in a bed that was unsanitary with bed bug stains and or bodily fluid stains (especially during a pandemic), of which I took numerous pictures of and sent them to both Expedia and the hotel manager or owner. Note that the hotel switched my first room with another room in which I found the exact same conditions on the bed which I also took pictures of.

Took our money. We’ve been long time users of Expedia and now we’re done with them along with our family members after what they’ve done to us.. we booked a hotel stay for I think 3 nights 4 days at a rate of $175 a night. We show up to the hotel later that night after driving 2.5 hrs with my baby just to get there and find out our date was changed and there were no rooms left… we attempted to cancel which we were successful at doing so we thought. Four or five months later the money that was refunded from the trip we never took and the hotel we never stayed at track was taken out of our account four months later for $500….. we even purchased the insurance for 100 bucks to make sure we were covered in case anything were to happen. We emailed Expedia and the insurance company we used for our safety and was told we were basically screwed.. the money they took couldn’t have came any worse time during the first of the month when rent was due. Now we have to take legal action because of this. I’d be surprised if they didn’t delete this review. Please everyone be careful using Expedia because their terms and conditions clearly says

Love it at The Bay Inn!. I cannot say enough great things about this place! The rooms are exceptionally clean and fresh, check-in was as painless as it gets, the owners are extra friendly and kind, and the location is top notch! My husband and I were traveling for work and decided to give this place a try (based on prior reviews). As professional cleaners, we always check the cleanliness of our room. Our room (106) was literally impeccable, not a spot on anything. The sheets/pillows were so clean and the bed was very comfy. It’s a smaller place, which makes it extra quiet and peaceful plus you don’t have to carry your luggage very far! With Beach access directly across the street, you cannot beat this place! Each room steps out into the beautiful little courtyard where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee or enjoying a nice evening drink. My husband and I are making this one of our premiere places to stay! Thank you The Bay Inn for making our stay so enjoyable😃

Beware of fine print. Good luck getting any kind of flexibility from these folks even as a 12 year long term customer. For a service that’s supposed to be convenient, it is NOT convenient to be told by the service that you as a paying customer need to contact the vendor and the vendor tells you that they can’t touch the booking and one should talk to Expedia. Update: The car rentals are not as well controlled by Expedia as hotel and flights. The virtual chat agents are NOT very helpful but getting on the phone with a Expedia customer care agent finally resolved the issue. Here’s the problem, There’s no good way to make any changes to the booking. The Expedia agent would tell me that the payment was sent and I need to go talk to vendor and the vendor says they didn’t receive the payment yet and cannot make any changes to the booking. This is SUPER inconvenient. And I got a better rate at the vendor. Sooooo, I am paying more for INCONVENIENCE. That makes no sense to me. My advice to Expedia: improve your data integration with your vendors to give your loyal customers flexibility or miss business from people who have any common sense.

Scam. I highly recommend just using this app to strictly compare prices (kayak and hopper are also great apps for this and hopper has cheaper flights than any other place I’ve found). This is the second time booking my flight through Expedia. The first time was not that bad. This time though I had to do schedule changes for my flight. I called Expedia twice. They explained to me that they had a fee of about $90 to change the date (no biggie I understand) and that I had to pay the difference in price (again understandable) my ticket originally cost $340 and I looked up online how much of a difference it would be to estimate about how much I would be paying which was roughly $200 in total. I called the first time and I gave them specific flight numbers and time to make their job a bit easier, and the end result they were asking for was $800 which is a little over the top. I didn’t want to pay that much so I hung up and called again with in seconds to double check. And once I gave the exact information and everything the end amount was $1000 ???!! I understand that prices fluctuated but that was crazy. So I cut out the middle man (Expedia) and called the airline and ended up changing the dates for just $215.

App ok but always be aware that Expedia is third party. Expedia is good search for flights however if u buy an air ticket know that any changes or problems with your ticket you have to go directly to Expedia. Many different phone numbers, not an easy process, I experience multiple problems when dealing with customer service. I don’t think it is the personnel. I think it is the training. If you travel international get the international number BEFORE you leave. After writing this review I get an email that provides a link to customer service. Can’t deal with a human. Have to talk to a virtual person who can’t help me. When I got stuck in Italy due to Expedia making a misstake on my ticket, I googled for phone numbers. There was no international number but a lot of complaints about “no human at Expedia when traveling internationally.” Expedia, if a human does read this, I got my refund after many many phone calls (domestically). This is about your customer service and I think you get the point. This “genius”😂level customer is clearly not a “genius”.

Customer service has tanked hard!!***. If you like speaking and dealing with about 39 different people on a matter and never have it resolved. Then you are in the right place. Customer service at Expedia has tanked hard. I recently had a issue that was never resolved. Every email I wrote came from a different agent. I never spoke with a same person when I called and the chat bot representative were different every time. And with a different agent every time, I never got the same answer. I went round and round. After one lie to another broken promise. My money was gone. And they blamed the resort. The resort, said they could never talk to me or resolve the issue, because I had booked with “Expedia” and they couldn’t resolve a third party issue. They said they didn’t charge me….that Expedia did. And to be honest, that’s the charge that showed on my card. No trip, a failed, promised cancellation by a agent, and money charged for a trip that never happened. Horrible, horrible experience with booking on the Expedia. Not sure how they remain in business. Will never do so again, and am telling everyone to stay away. If you book, just hope nothing goes wrong, because they’ll never be a way to get it resolved or fixed.

The app itself is great customer service not so much.. Booked my flight and wanted to change the times to better fit the plan that was later made and called customer service because I figured they’d be the ones that would help hours later and after being belittled about “you should plan better sir, flights book up fast, and this is the cheapest price I guarantee”. I got it all figured out by myself. I ended up just cancelling the entire trip and getting a flight credit and using that credit to get the time slot I wanted for 145$ difference. On the phone they said it was gonna be over 1000$ and that was including my flight credit. I hope this reaches my target audience. Your customer support team is absolute trash individuals. I think the best thing about the call center is they offer to text you a link to do it yourself which I did and save 900$. The apps great just don’t be like me and make changes lol. Or else you’ll have to deal with the crappy customer service.

Not happy. Well first I came into Hertz from a third party (Expedia) and thought I had already paid for it, as well as paid for extended collision insurance. No that’s not the what happened! I knew I had to show license and proof of insurance but had to rescan my card and add $32 per day for the extended insurance. Not the $10 a day that the website said! Ok I guess I should be so surprised! Now I am told to go out to zone 2 and pick any car from that area. I am intercepted by an employee that looks at my paperwork and sends me over to where they are cleaning and taking back other car’s! I go over to where she sent me and another girl grabs my paperwork and throws it in the trash! God I was so mad! I then grab the paperwork out of the trash ask another man where I should go to get my car and he points back to where I first came from. I decided to just jump in the first car in that area that had a 2 on the sign. By then all the people that where standing in line in back of me were getting into the cars and ended up with what was left. It was not a smooth experience at all! Poor actually I would say! Train your employees please! We are your customers and it is how you get paid!

Flop house booking Expedia refused to help. I booked a two night stay at an Extended Stay America. Yes shame on me for not looking into it better. Place was a complete dive. Sticky tile floors. Filthy bathroom. Worn out and mismatched furniture. Gouges and holes in the walls. We got there late and despite the condition stayed one night. We checked out the next day at 9am and were told we had to get the second day refund from Expedia due to the fact I paid in advance through Expedia. We checked out and I got a check out receipt of course. I contacted Expedia and explained the situation. Per Expedia they made “several” attempts to contact the facility and were unable to talk to anyone there. So I got to pay for a second night at a place I would have been better off sleeping in my car in the parking lot. Other than some lame platitudes Expedia offered no compensation what so ever. Customer service here is much like most places. Non existent. Unfortunately I have to click on a star to rate Expedia which is actually an over rating. I am sure if they respond to this it will be loaded with the same crap I got in my email responses. We are very sorry, per policy and strive to meet expectations. Lol.

COVID. I recently found out I tested positive for COVID. So I called to cancel a flight reservation that I made through Expedia on Delta. Since it was a basic reservation with no “travel insurance” (what a scam that is) they screwed me out of $384, even though I could prove COVID easily with my test results, and I wasn't randomly canceling my flight. The best they had for me was call Delta who of course after 2 hours on hold said call Expedia. This really shows what kind of company Expedia is. Even in the worst pandemic in 100 years, if they can stick it to you they will, COVID or not. I’ve used them for many years and as they got bigger, they got worse. At this point I don’t see that Expedia brings any value to the table, and I will never use them again. I’m vaccinated and I most likely have the Delta variant of COVID. The effect is like a bad cold, I could probably travel and get away with it. I presume that going forward my situation will not be that unusual. I’ve chosen to do the right thing anyway even at the cost of the ticket, sadly Expedia isn't capable of doing the right thing. Had I booked directly with Delta I could have canceled for COVID. Do yourself a favor, go to the airlines directly cut Expedia out of the picture.

Awful,Awful,Awful. I am a avid traveler and boy let me tell you this Hotel is a “Dump”. The room looks like it’s a pay to play ( by the hour) hotel. I don’t know how they ever got a 3 star rating but there not even a 1 ( and yes it’s that bad). The bathtub was so bad, I wouldn’t even bathe my dog in it. The furniture looks like they purchased it from a yard sale. When I went to the pool there was no towels!!! and when I asked for one I was told “to go to the laundry room to get one”. “I was told that they didn’t have any pool towels, that they were all dirty “ and “I wasn’t even able to take one or two towels from the room either because they didn’t have any clean ones to replace it with”. There was that and then there was no fridge in my room even though I specifically told them I needed one during my checking process for my medication that needed to be refrigerated. Thank God I was able to go to another hotel in walking distance that had availability and was able to book a room for the 2 nights I was here and I immediately went and retrieved my luggage from the room and checked out. If your feeling lucky then go ahead and roll the dice and take your chances but It’s not worth it.

Sonnenalp. This is a very nice property, with an elegance and friendliness from an era that is fast slipping away in our country. While we had a bit of miscommunication on checkin and ended up waiting til the eleventh hour (check in is at 4 and hotel had told us when we arrived the room was clean and only awaiting inspection which should take no time (we arrived about 2pm) we didn’t get into the room til right at 4. We were tired from traveling and would have gone off property to shop or eat had we known an inspection would take two hours. Staff however, once we got in, we’re apologetic and kind sending up a bottle of wine for the inconvenience. The property is beautiful, right on Gore creek, although we didn’t up in a room on the creek, BE SURE to ask and ask again before arrival! Wi-Fi was a bit off and on but a valet employee told us how to use another of the hotels choices for Wi-Fi and that worked well. The spa is BEAUTIFUL, not over run and best of all, open for all hotel guests regardless of whether one has a treatment scheduled. And only hotel guests if not paying for a service. Beautiful indoor and outdoor pools and setting right on the creek up against the mountain. Lovely huge buffet daily, although pricey at about $70 a piece. In light of ongoing labor shortages continuing to plague our country, this property is doing a great job , the employees who ARE working, making a hard effort for guests at every turn. We will definitely go back! Thank you.

Canceled flights and empty promises. We recently book 5 international flight tickets through Expedia on Virgin Atlantic. Virgin canceled one leg of our trip from San Francisco to Johannesburg. The 1st leg from SFO to London was canceled. I received an email notice from Expedia after which I contacted the customer care number being a Gold member for years now expecting a smooth solution to the problem. After multiple calls spending more than 7 hours on the phone and being promised every time that our case is in good hands and that Expedia will send us email confirmation informing us about an alternative solution. I’m still waiting and did not receive any emails with alternative solutions to our canceled flight. The only email I did receive was confirmation of the cancellation of our bookings after my call with a representative today. Very disappointed in the way our case was handled, the empty promises by representatives with no solution to our canceled flight.

Irritated and not ok. I’m giving them a three star, because I have never had a problem with Expedia until this trip. I booked a flight to Mexico, and according to my airline Expedia is the one who messed up on posting the wrong time on my trip. Expedia reached out to me to either cancel or confirm that trip, because it was a day early I had to cancel. Later I get a confirmation stating I was going to travel, I contact both Expedia and the airline and no one can help, putting everything together I didn’t realize it was Expedia‘s fault. I decide to leave it alone and just by myself a one-way flight to Mexico and keep the existing returning on back. Beware!!! Because I didn’t take the flight going to Mexico, they decide to cancel the one returning back, and according to them they can’t do anything about it because I had a no-show even though they knew that I was not going to be able to make it through to them messing up on my flight. So now I have to buy a round-trip out of my pocket and they can’t even reimburse the one they messed up in

Diane. I use Expedia most of the time for my business traveling or making personal travel arrangements for my family! The company has always treated me with the utmost professionalism and positive results that I’m very happy with. If there are any questions on my part, I get a hold of them and they have an answer for me right away! I tell them exactly what I’m looking for as far as what city my business is taking me and I direct them on a hotel that has at least 3-5 stars with a dining room in the hotel. I have my rental car available when I reach the designated city that I have traveled to and after my business trip winds down, they have all information pertinent for me flying back to my original designation. Yes, I recommend them highly and I always tell my clients and friends to use Expedia as their travel consultant. They are always very professional and very in touch with my needs! I’d recommend them 100%.

Stay away from Floridays. On a recent trip to Orlando we booked a three bedroom suite at Floridays and asked Expedia to put in our record for the hotel to hold our reservation for late arrival. When we reached the hotel we were told that they did not have the three bedroom unit that we had reserved and that they were sold out of three bedroom units. We were a large group and insisted that we needed the three bedroom that we had reserved and had given a credit card to hold. They then offered us a two bedroom which we told them was inadequate and they told us there was nothing more they could do. They did not call around to try to get us alternate accommodations and left us to fend for ourselves. We proceeded to make many calls and could not find anything available anywhere in the area. We then agreed to the two bedroom but they gave it to someone else! We ended up sleeping in our CAR with children that night!

CANCEL FLIGHTS!!. I’ve been calling, using the app, filling out forms and no one is able to give me a call back or answer my request to cancel my flight which is today. I understand that with the ban to travel to Europe there’s a surge of cancellations. However, Expedia is deliberately trying to not answer customers by hanging up on them and making us fill out forms for cancellations, which can take up to 14 days. All communications with this company are nonexistent . Been calling since I found out about the ban, even though in their website it advertises that you should call if your trip is within 7 days. I call, provide my itinerary number, places me on hold, and after 2 songs on the line, they hang up on me even before answering. With the itinerary number and date of travel that they ask, all customers who have flights today should have been answered and filtered out to provide assistance. Meanwhile, other flight companies like delta or answering their customers in less than 20 min!!! Never again booking with this company! Lesson learned. I’m sure other customers agree- just look at the comments of desperate people on their social media pages trying to get some assistance.

Service complaint. I have spent a great deal of travel money through Expedia, but their current level of service is abominable. If I could give a rating below one star I would. In April I discovered I have colon cancer. I immediately had surgery followed by chemo. I had planned a fishing trip to Alaska with my granddaughter and made a reservation through Expedia for two rooms at hotel near the airport. My chemo experience has been devastating and I had to cancel the trip - the fishing lodge and Alaska Airlines were most accomodating, refunding my fare on short notice. Money- grubbing Expedia is another story, even though I purchased their trip insurance. I could not find a human with whom to explain my predicament, but was shunted to a "virtual agent" who texted that even though I had trip insurance, more than a week prior to the reservation was to late to cancel, for any reason - cancer isn't good enough. I wasn't even referred to love agent to chat, all I got were canned answer, or "I don't understand" then I was cut off. If only a few of you take this message to heart, it will cause this cold, rapacious business far more than the cost my rooms. I travel alot, but will never use Expedia again

Unreliable. I book several flights with them, they changed it to a time that didn’t fit to my schedule, I asked than to change dates, they charged me a fee which I accepted to pay (usually they ask for 72 hours to complete the transaction), I waited the period and returned to check if was everything fine with my flights.. for my surprise it wasn’t, they said that the price changed and therefor I needed to pay more, which I accepted and asked again to issue the tickets, waited 72 hours again and called them back, for my surprise the flight wasn’t ok, the price had changed again, I accepted the change and asked to issue the tickets, waited 72 hours and called again! If I say to you that my flight tickets wasn’t issued again, would you believe?! I had no more flights available on the day and time that I chose before! As I have to fly… I accepted a new flight with 4x the initial price offered to me!!! Believe it or not! I will pay but and will need to get into a litigation process with this terrible company! If you don’t want loose your time (each of the calls, I spent more than 1h 30m with their staff) and money (as they don’t deliver what they sell), don’t buy from them!
