Worst. App. Ever!!. So I started learning guitar nearly 10 months ago. Maybe even longer ago than that. I needed a guitar to play on the go, when I was away from my actual guitar. I found this all and I downloaded this app a while back, maybe a month or two ago. At first there were a few ads here and there and it didn’t really bug me much. I played this app for about a week straight without even touching my guitar and I decided to start playing my real guitar more. Now, weeks later I had gotten back on it a few minutes ago. I wanted to switch out an Acoustic for an Electric so I could play a song and this VIP membership kept coming up on my screen every time I tried to switch out my guitar. I closed the app, tried again and the same thing happened several times. Finally, I got extremely frustrated and deleted the app. I wrote this review hopefully so that it will discourage people from downloading this app and wasting their time and space downloading this app full of advertisements and sponsorships. Just as an fyi, I WOULD DEFINITELY GIVE THIS APP ZERO STARS IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE!! Thanks for looking over my review 👍

Pretty cool:)). I don’t understand what is with all the negative reviews on this app ?? I had a blast just now !! First time I’ve ever played guitar ... I actually sounded good ... sure it is just a trial and to unlock the cool songs it costs .. but I might just have to try it out ... there are a lot of reviews talking about not being able to cancel a subscription but in defense ... the girl Alice seems to respond with speed and kindness and a genuine feel that they would like to address any negative feedback at all ... and gives a direct link to do so in the cases that ask to be cancelled ... so ? We shall see if I continue to enjoy the app ... thank you for the time to review so far ... I’ll check back later and let you guys know more :)) peace✌🏽

Highly Questionable. I am an ambassador for the arts, founded an organization for creators to connect and collaborate during gigs i book and was immediately turned off from this application. I am left handed ( no setting or menu to explain how that changes how to play guitar: nor Any on any subject similar). I would have appreciated there being an explanation of what we were to do and instructions as to how before having a virtual guitar with some highlighted circles late added to screen~ especially for an app i’d need to pay more than the lessons my daughter and I have, in person, at guitar store. Why not give any instructions? info on what to do as well as what chords are being played. if we are to strum or not and if so in what way. this app had good intentions. i rarely leave reviews much less negative ones but after all thought in marketing this and making an image of a credible enough looking guitar, the entire point of such was disappointing and difficult from the first ‘song’ with no title nor explanation per what is being practiced . i am involved in the Arts, it is my passion and my career . Unfortunately, this app lacks everything I’d expect in one, a free version has much better approach...Canceling subscription. please, take a short time and explain what is being shown, why, and how. I’ve never so quickly dropped hope or attempt to work with a simulated music based application until now. Please Fix thanks. amelia

I just wanted to try the app😭😭😭. So, I downloaded this app because I thought it looked cool and I can play awesome songs. Wrong. I read one of the reviews saying that the app was completely free and they were wrong to! I got in the app, tapped next a couple times, then a screen popped up saying that I have to take a free trial. No way am I doing that! I was so excited to try a song out but that changed very quickly. I suggest you could change the point that you have to pay for an app just like people do in games for children. Please get rid of that so I can be happy. Thanks for reading this and take my suggestions into consideration. 😒

Wicked cool. This app is so cool that it is wicked cool. The sound is amazing and the tones are real. My electric tuner agreed that it was very close to perfect. Thanks to the development team on this great app. I think that even an amateur who has never even touched a guitar string before can make some great music in no time with this app. Also for an even better sound try it through a nice Bluetooth speaker. I love this app and wish had it come around yrs ago. So enjoy everyone and make beautiful music for the ones around you or just by yourself no matter what kind of style you like this is for you!!

Not Free!!. You will need to sign up for a 7-Days free trial. You will have to give up your credit card info right away before you can try out the app. So yeah, it's free for the duration they promise, but to don't this way and take my payment info, that a low blow. Big No No!! If I can't even trust you even before our relationship begins, how will I be able to trust you ever at all? Obviously, this app is marketing toward real musicians. For someone who wants to start playing guitars, this isn't for you. I already got pushed away from this, I see it as scam/click bait.....

Pay to play!. This app could be lots of fun and would get people drawn into possibly wanting to purchase in-app extras but it won’t let you do ANYTHING without paying for a VIP membership. I mean you can’t play but a minicams a half of two songs total before it shuts it all down commanding you get a MONTHLY membership. So I’m gonna add another bill to my dwindling paycheck every month just to get a few laughs outta of a guitar app?!? Nah. Y’all think WAY too highly of your app. I mean it’s nothing new really....

Great guitar sound. Sounds real. The app it self is awesome. The play of it its the greatest. I gave it a 3 because when you’re playing the guitar and start strumming up your fingers will slide the middle and close the app. Can the developers please change that. Make the guitar higher so that the fingers don’t close the app.

WHO MADE THIS???. Worst. App. Ever!!!! it is waaaay to difficult and frustrating. Too many ads. and the membership keeps popping up like every time i open the app it pops up. so i deleted the app and when i did it FROZE MY SCREEN so i had to shut down my phone and turn it back on! if i could i would totally rate this a -1 star review!! Another time was once i was playing and i finished a level and it was being really laggy so i unplugged the plug and plugged it back in to reset the internet and it glitched out of the app and I asked my mom if there was something wrong with the connection but she said her phone was just fine. and thats when i deleted the app and i will never redownload it because of what happened. It’s ok. So I’ve been playing guitar for about 6 years and this game just completely made me forget all of what I learned previously. It’s a good concept but I don’t suggest trying to learn how to play by this game, or any really. Your screens way to small and the game limits the amount of cords you can play. Go out, pick up a guitar, and start practicing, don’t pay $8 a week for crappy lessons that don’t explain in detail about everything

Academy walk though idea. The game is good but I have another app called Piano Academy, it has a learning walkthrough and i thought this app would have it too. It would teach you step by step just like the Piano Academy learning walkthrough. The songbook would still be here and it might be even cooler with this learning walkthrough.

This is incredible.. I can't believe this app is free, I'm astounded. There's so much you can do - now I can have a guitar with me anywhere. The only thing that really confuses me is why there's only 11 frets; the octaves for the open notes are so useful and should definitely be included. Regardless, there's so much here. The solo mode has a sweet couple different guitars that you only have to watch a single add each to unlock. The hammer-ons/pull-offs, and slides work better than I would've expected. There's an endless chord library available and even an option to create your own chords! I have too many good things to say, this app is a bunch of fun and I'm excited to try some of the other ones y'all have made.

Rip you off! Beware!. This app charged me $7.99 for a seven-day “no-ad” subscription without my authorization. I found out about it when I got my credit card bill, and by then the 7-day subscription had ended. Beware! If you download an app that has in-app purchases, by downloading the app you give them access to your account & they can just charge you for whatever they want, whenever they want. Cool app, that my 4-year old loves to play with, but I have to delete it because there’s no way for me turn off the in-app purchases.

“Free”. Like many others I downloaded the game it showed 3 screens on what to expect. Only to run into the 3rd screen saying 7 day free trial which after the free trial it’s $7.99 WEEKLY not monthly WEEKLY. I never review products but this one is ridiculous. Update: I didn’t see the “X” on skipping the screens, it should’ve been more noticeable. I was in the wrong.

Hard but helps. My Friend I wanted to learn guitar in this app with a little tricky but after a little while she got the hang of it and after about a month she learned how to play guitar she’s amazing and I am very proud so I read this app a four out of five stars because it’s a little tricky I recommend this app to people who want to learn to play guitar I learned how to play guitar the old-fashioned way this is a good app

Shame. From the reviews it looks like this app used to be legitimate, but cracked to Apple’s new subscription feature. I wonder if the developers of apps like these are proud of who they have become. Are you guys proud to have turned your once high quality app into a trickery for idiots? Are you guys proud of yourself for screwing over all your loyal users? Are you proud of what you have done? You guys should be ashamed. I suggest you rethink what you are doing. Don’t bother sending me one of your copy and paste replies. Don’t lie by saying you care about customer service. Don’t reply. Just make a change. For your sake, and for Apple’s sake.

Adds. It’s ok but the trouble is the adds I got a guitar 2years ago but I don’t know how to use it so I downloaded this app just today to see if it would help me well so far I love this up but the other half is this app is TOTALL CRAP when it comes to adds so I played the tutorial and I done the first song right well the next button has a add on it well once I pressed that the screen went black and it froze well I’m not deleting the app because I can just reset my iPad well...... UPDATE- NIGHTMARE- DO NOT CLICK ON THIS APP HORRIBLE-DON’T TRY. NEW UPDATE- After numerous emails to me insisting I won’t be billed, guess what shows up on my bill. A new monthly payment. This company is full of liars and thieves. Do not even look at this app. They want over $60 a year now. All they do is play games with you and act like you don’t want to cancel. I downloaded the app for a free one week trial. I don’t like the app so I wanted to cancel it. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. Although I subscribed under my Apple it is not listed under my subscriptions and there is no where to call for help to cancel. You also need WiFi to cancel although to get the app you can just download on your phone through Apple using data. NIGHTMARE!!! No help. UPDATE: i had taken a shot and emailed Gismart saying I want to cancel. I got a reply email from the company asking if I truly want to cancel. They completely ignored the fact that my email stated I wanted to cancel. They send the impossible directions that I have tried a million times already. They are playing a game. These people are a bunch of clowns only interested in creating an inferior app and ripping people off into paying for it by not allowing a clear mechanism to cancel a subscription that you never sign up for. This is an absolute NIGHTMARE. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS APP!!!!

This app was great.. This app has been ruined. When I first downloaded this app, I thought it was great. No complaints. They added a challenge to complete a certain number of songs to get the distorted electric guitar. I was able to play the songs and got it. It was great. Then they updated it again and then I was no longer able to use it, and had to pay to use it. I thought, well okay. Even though I had access to it before the update. Now there are constant ads when there were hardly any before. Now solo mode does not work as well as it used to. Now there’s a delay when you hit a string and actually get a sound, so songs you play do not sound great. Unless these problems are fixed, I will have to delete.

Dont download (this is a joke, the app is okay.). I hate this game so much. It called me MULTIPLE slurs. I wont even REPEAT the words and phrases that were thrown at me during this experience. A guitar is NOT supposed to be so impossible to play. Why did it say I was only 57% accurate on a level I got perfect in? This app is absolutely horrendous. I would never recommend this to my worst enemy. This app infuriates me, with not only the fact that it really is impossible to play, but with the fact that it really is not user friendly. Every song that I wanted to play had to be paid for. It DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THE APP!!!! I just needed it to show I could play guitar, but ended up having to write this review. Just started looking at this app.. I am rating based on looking at the app for about four minutes. Pop up requested that I rate the app or choose that I don’t like the app. I still wanted to look the app over and thought that I may want to subscribe so I didn’t feel like a “don’t like” was in order. The star rating I chose doesn’t really mean anything one way or the other just that I selected the middle until I have an opportunity to decide if I like the app on not.

Frustrating. I played acoustic guitar for about 30 years and thanks (not really) to arthritis my hand won’t conform to any playing position nor is there enough finger strength to press a string down. It was exciting to think that a virtual, digital guitar might somehow bring back the pleasure of playing. This app ain’t it. Putting aside my desire to “play” guitar on a screen, let’s talk about the app. If the free version is supposed to serve as a trial it fails from the start. The insistence to subscribe is immediate with no way obvious way to back out of the sign up screen. Strumming activates the phone’s control panel. Playing notes activates the phone’s zoom lens. Every few seconds another ad/link/prompt interferes with the attempt to TRY the app. Totally aggravating, I can’t imagine how anyone could be enticed to subscribe without an adequate trial experience. For me they did excel at turning off a prospective user/subscriber and greatly inspired this negative review. It’s like they were begging for it.

Some annoying features n privacy issues. Overall I would say the interface is nice and easy to use. However, here are my complaints- - the intro music is pointless, if I have a musical idea and want to open up the guitar quickly to try it out, the intro music totally messes up the vibe and can also make me forget the idea - my main use is to learn music while listening to it, and again the intro music totally messes this up, because I want to know the key of the song I’m hearing right away, instead of some obligatory guitar riff. - if I’m playing along with spotiffy, the music drowns out the guitar -there is no mute string option, like you have on pocket guitar (which in my opinion is waay better) - it’s a British company so their idea of privacy is even worse than here, I see ads that obviously know my location and where I live and this is really creepy, why does the guitar app know where I live?? -the default mode should be solo mode

😁. I only downloaded this game literally 5 seconds ago and I was a bit creeped out when it said “we have read your other game reviews and updated your game.” I would recommend if your a beginner to not start out with songs like “siniorita” they are difficult. And when it says start trial don’t do it there’s a tiny ex in the top left corner. I would recommend this game but if you don’t like to play hard games this isn’t the game for you.🙃

I really enjoy your app but.... Now I am not here to bash or say this app is bad and not to download it. If anything I would say to give it a try. I really enjoy this app more then I would of ever thought l would but I got to minor issues with it. 1st issue is why does the play location where you hit the notes during a song feel like it’s at the top of the neck? why won’t flip the right way cause I like to play it like I’m holding a guitar.? Also I notice if I don’t hit the note wperfectly when it gets to the line where I’m suppose to hit it at play nothing, If it’s not close to perfect? It should play still just the timing would be a little of it’s better to hear my mistake then not to hear it how do I learn like that.

Great App!. This app is absolutely great for playing around with, and extremely useful if your writing songs. I can’t take my guitar everywhere, but I can take my phone. There have been quite a few times i’ve gotten an idea, but don’t have my guitar with me. Though with this app, I can put a few chords together, and done! This app has been so helpful, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend. This gets 5 stars!

iPhone 8 +. I just started using this app. Is kind enough f glitching a bit. I play one song and when I finished it froze and I couldn’t do nothing. They have like a member ship you pay so all song can be unlocked but with some of the bad glitches I’m not paying for this app. I’ll use it for free till it get all this glitches and bugs fixed or patch.

Worst music app ever. Got to “play” one song (for 30 seconds) now, if you want to play the game, you have to purchase other songs, download other apps, or spend $8 a month. Otherwise you get the basic guitar with 4 chords to play and that’s it! Even if you were happy with that, the app keeps interrupting you by asking to rate the app or upgrade to the monthly subscription. How gratuitous are the interruptions? I’ve have this app less than 10 minutes and I’ve been asked to rate it 3 times and upgrade 5!!! Garbage app from money grubbing shysters.

Ideas. Although this game is great and really fun, some ideas I have to make the game better is maybe since some parents don’t let there kids have Instagram just have all the songs unlocked, and for some of use who downloaded the game to help us learn how to play the gutair, have a place where you can click and a video will show you how to play the song on the app and on a real gutair! Other than that this game is great and really fun, I hope that these changes will be made and I hope it can happen soon!!! 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶

🎶 Oh Shame Shame Shame ...🎶. 1. There are more ads than you'll believe possible. 2. Nothing in life is free, but this is especially true with thus App. Everything has to be unlocked. This is achieved by watching many, many 30 sec. long videos which promote ... more bad Apps. 3. Even in it's old age, I'd go to Frontier and buy 'iShred' and their Acoustic App 'Guitar' before I ever gave $$ to these jackals. 4. The reviews saying this is a good app, are (and they simply have to be) from wannabe guitarists. 5. Take my word or take theirs -the choice is yours. You can decide if you believe one or the other and I have nothing to gain by telling the truth and trying to steer you towards a far better app Either take my word or just buy the paid version. If you purchase it - this review becomes nothing more than mist.

Very impressed. 5 ok a bit much you say? I’m a hack guitar player who loves technology but, always have needed the real thing cause tech hasn’t even able to produce anything to keep a musicians interest. New to this app but already hooked, don’t pass on trying cause well, it’s free and when your ready you can add to it for some change. Do think if ya don’t play now, after this you might find yourself at guitar center! Have fun

Real guitar.. Real guitar is the best it is like the best game ever I have ever played now everyone out there you should get this app because your little brother smashed it JK but if it did then this would be the perfect app for everyone that wants to learn guitar when I started this app it was SO! SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!. This app is an absolute SCAM. Yes I downloaded the app to only delete it within a few hours. Now a few weeks later I start getting charges from them every couple days. I have sent them a request to remove my account with no response. If I don’t here anything in a couple days I will report them to the credit card company and fraudulent and block there charges. The only reason I placed 5 stars on the app was so that it will show up at the top of there reviews. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!’n

Needs work. Ok so I enjoy the game a lot and like to play it when I’m bored but I got some suggestions first off stop raking for money I’m not paying 7.99 weekly just to get premium at least make most of it affordable and free and I think it would be great if u add more guitars 🎸 then there’s the adds then there’s the only notification in the the game that you should change also can’t u add stuff like the ukulele or something besides guitars even though it’s just supposed to be guitars.

Read this. This is horrible app you honestly expect all of these people to spend 8 dollars a week. I understand you guys don't have this app for people to enjoy it you do it for money. You guys could probably get more downloads when you don't charge people such a ridiculous amount of money for some app. You developers need to wake up and understand. I get that you guys really want the money but just please make it free so we can all download it and enjoy it. What about. I think this thing was so amazing to play at first I didn’t really know but then I started getting used to it but there’s something I think on the game will probably need making your own songs in the game because I didn’t really buy the trial so I don’t know if you’re able to but if you can make your own songs and put them and everybody else was to to try to play the song that would be so cool if you can add that without the free trial please I don’t buy trials

FAKE. This app is called real guitar and yet it is all fake it doesn’t even let you play on a real guitar unless you get the membership which cost money which I downloaded this app for free because it was free so it really only lets you play on a fake guitar until you pay money for an app that was supposedly free so thank you for reading my review and if you are reading this don’t waste your time downloading this fake app because it is a waste of your time and knowledge it is dumb and stupid to download this app I am begging you I read the reviews on this and I was like sure OK then I actually downloaded the app and now I am telling you you will waste your time bye ps this app is literally T-R-A-S-H!!!

Not bad, but there are a few difficulties. This app is pretty decent especially since there isn’t add pop ups that come up after you press something or play for a certain time. But there is a few problems with the app, which can be worked around when using, but nonetheless are pretty annoying. The first thing is that the strings go to the edge of your screen on a iphone which causes you to pull down the hud of your phone or exit the app every time you strum. Also, when free playing it’s hard to make chord traditions since the chord list is at the top of your device. Otherwise the app is very useful when learning the chords and allow me to test out strums and fingerpicking sounds for my guitar in real life.

Real fun and addicting. I really like this app and I bet my uncle will like this app , i wonder why these haters give it 2 or 1 or low stars I give it millions of stars and it helped me a lot and my uncle and friends and families, well that’s all I have to say . Pros and cons. Pros: -helps in a way learn guitar -can still use the app without payment Cons: - when strumming it’s confusing on which direction to strum - when strumming up and down features on my iPhone pop up and get in the way I understand that every app has its flaws and it really is overall a great app and I am satisfied with its performance! 😃

Spammers that stole money from my account when I never subscribed to begin with!. I downloaded this app weeks ago to try some guitar lessons since I’m unable to own one in person. Little did I realize they been charging $8-$9 for almost a month! I never even subscribed to this app but there have been times they attempted to charge my account and I tried cancelling through email when I no longer had this app! Don’t ever download this app if you value your wallet!!!! Hopefully I can get my money back!!!!!

Do not download. I downloaded this for my kid to play on. I started seeing $8 charges from it and I blamed him for clicking on a pay function... reading back through I see other people who have had the same problem. Then I noticed that I was getting a charge on my copy too... which I haven’t used in months. I actually have a newer iPad I use, the one it’s on hasn’t even been charged in months. Obviously use and clicking a button for the ad free trial are not necessary for them to charge you for the app. Whatever you do, don’t get this app. They will try to bleed your bank account dry. I also noticed reading back through that they tend not to reply to people who have this issue, despite replying to people with other issues with the app.

Go slower at the begining to then speed up. This needs to Slow down and show the notes and the note that is played other wise it only trains for timing and spead without teaching the skills that are needed it is fun however but this does not Help me learn the notes. At the beging the courts that you are playing important look this app has potential just Help me to learn the cords.I need the notes so I can play this on a real Guitar.

Getting past the first stage. I have downloaded this 3 times now because it goes into a frozen mode of I don't pick the free trial when the app presents this drop down after you do your first cord song...it rates you by a star then comes this pop up on the app that asks you if you want the free version or the upgrade...when you choose the free version everything freezes and you can't play anything... Don't know what the deal is with that is but I'm going to try one more time and if it freezes again I'll be giving this 1 star because it won't give me a minus choice....

Touchy. I actually like the app. It is fun to play, but there is one thing that I find incredibly annoying while playing this on my iPhone. While attempting to play a song, I have quite often had to restart the app because while swiping (even when I was careful to not touch the edge of my screen), I get taken to the home screen of my phone, while the song that I was trying to complete continues to go in the background!

$7.99/week get real. Outrageous for a game. $32/month. This company should be ashamed of themselves for trying to rip people off and Apple should be equally as ashamed for allowing garbage like this in the App Store!!!!!!!! Update: I was contacted today by the developer. They would like to highlight that at any stage they do not try to force anyone to subscribe to their product. No where did they mention the $32/mo they charge if you want a version that you can actually do anything with. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM! Again Apple should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these predatory tactics by crap companies and developers! How's that for updating my review???

It is NOT free. Why does it say free, when you can’t even start experimenting with it unless you start a subscription? This sort of thing always annoys me so much that I don’t even want to bother with it at all. I understand there is a free trial, but it renews automatically. I know myself and I always forget to cancel, and also from experience, cancelling anything is never easy! I dont want to deal with having to cancel. And they change $7.99 a week! Yikes! Wasted my time on this, which would have not happened if they had been honest and mark this app as $7.99/week instead of free, which it is t. Dishonest move!

I will never know. I read a very good external review of the app and decided to give it a try and download it. Only to realize that in order to try it out you have to subscribe to a three day free trial, which starts to bill you automatically after the third day. I immediately deleted the app. I do not like these business models where you have to pay a rental fee for an app, which in essence you never own, additionally i like even less the fact that you have to commit to a subscription just to try it out ( you are never sure if it is going to be easy to cancel it or they will make you go through endless links and pages to do it ), and finally , I think three days is close to nothing in terms of the time you need to evaluate a product. So I will never know how good or bad this application is.

Not Free. I counted myself and they’re are only seven songs that are free. I understand that not everything is free and all that but I just wanted a good game with guitar and instead I have this. So if your someone looking for a free game this isn’t for you. Edit: I got a developer response and they told me there is a free side to the app. I understand that but it doesn’t have enough songs that are free. If you look at my message before it says there are only seven. I’m going to want to play more than just the seven songs. This would actually be great if you added more songs though.

Not bad, but the iPhone X has a problem. From the few minutes of use so far, not too bad aye. The whole premium things a bit of a joke though. Also, the iPhone X has a problem with its Home Gesture. Whenever I try to strum upwards, like you do in some songs, it exits the app in favour of my Home Gesture. Fix this please and I’ll even rate you a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Difficult to unsubscribe!!!. Upon opening the app for the first time I was flooded with ads asking to buy the premium version. I accidentally clicked on this and signed up to the premium app. I lost money because I could not work out how to unsubscribe from premium. I would not recommend this app for anyone wishing to learn guitar😡

Would be better if notification centre didn’t come up!. I’d give this more stars if it had a bigger range of songs as advertised and if notification centre didn’t keep coming up every time I try to strum! 🤬

Great, but wouldn’t pay for it. There are heaps of amazing apps out here which are free. The games pretty cool but not really amazing state where I’ll pay a monthly fee. Some ideas could be: * have a play and pause button in between a song. Was trying to record the notes to try and learn as a beginner on a guitar but it was quite impossible * have the songs go for a long length or a longer version?

Ok I guess!. At the start the app can be a little bit fiddely, but it’s really simple and great to use when you understand how to play it!

Bad. This app is meant to be able to teach people how to play the guitar. And it doesn’t do that because your meant to be playing a real life guitar but you are playing on a fake guitar that goes sooooooo fast at the start and I thought your meant to play your own guitar because that is not teaching you anything because how do u know that you can play it on a real life guitar overall this is a terrible app. 😡

Predatory pricing. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the app is advertised as free. When logging in for the first time, Im forced to subscribe to an ongoing weekly fee @$17AUD/ week (cleverly disguised as a 3 day “free trial”). There is no visible option to try the app, or explore the app, without agreeing to this weekly subscription fee. I can see this same issue was reported to the developers 2years ago, and hasnt been fixed. Avoid this app - it’s a money grab. Thanks for wasting my time downloading it.

Fraudulent app.. Do not download this. Even though I never used it once, it automatically searched out my iTunes payment structure, and began charging me a weekly fee of 12 US dollars. I only just happened to find out what it has been doing and I have disputed it with PayPal. This was a really sneaky thing to do and should be illegal.

Scam. Unfortunately although this app says it is free you can only use it for a limited time before its brother app takes over. It WILL NOT give you the option to make or renew a subscription. After the first week this brother app will take money out of your account with no warning. You can only stop this robbery by unsubscribing in your Apple ID. A process which most people are unfamiliar with and what this company is counting on. My friend has had almost 200$ taken out of her account after her daughter downloaded this supposed free game. There is also no way to get this money back as Apple can only refund the last transaction. I wonder how much money has been filtered into this company from people who are innocently downloading a supposed free app. Absolute theft

Don’t download. I’m giving this one star because you can’t even play the game, as soon as I opened the app you have to subscribe for a three day free trial and I after that trial ends it’s like $12 a week. It’s not a free app at all.

Not for me, not great. Defs not for me I tried it, the idea is cool but doing it to a bunch of songs/artists I’ve never heard of isn’t fun for me. This was just the free trial which is open and the most expensive. Scamming design. Very unethical ways to get people to sign up for a trial that charges after 3 days. The x to exit this trial banner is hidden and not visible easily so that people click the button and get stuck with a trial.

You have to pay to play. I was seriously disappointed when I found out u have to pay to even do anything on the app. I saw a Instagram ad and they said the app was free. 7.99$ a week?! Scamware!. Enough! There has been a flood of mediocre apps trying their best for people to subscribe for $7.99 a WEEK. But it's obvious why. First, the app makes it difficult to interact with it without signing up for a trial subscription, then the app turns out mediocre so you close it after 3 minutes, a small percentage will forget to cancel the auto renewal and lose 8 bucks. Just what I needed. I just needed the sound of a guitar string for an activity with my students. Now, I could ya e done with out the notification of an upgrade and all that premium jazz but as for the sound, just what I needed.

Avoid at all costs!!. I was exploring the app on the App Store and saw it had in-app purchases— not at all unusual. Before I knew it, the app had installed itself in my iPhone and told me it would charge me $7.99 a week. Right. I immediately deleted it without ever opening or trying anything. This is a colossal ripoff and shame on Apple for even allowing it into the AppStore. Prospective users should avoid this app at all costs, and Apple should remove it from the App Store.

Fun. This app is really fun! Developer, would you be able to share what song was used for the tutorial song? This app allows you to play by string and learn actual chords, it has a mix of plucking and strumming. It’s really cool.

I just downloaded this game becsuse i saw it as an add and thought it would be pritty cool but when i get on the game its on the subscription page and there is no way for me to get off of it. Stay away from this app. This app says free trial but in the smallest text possible and in light grey lettering (so people will miss it) it tells you you will be charged $7.99 A WEEK!!! No app is with $7.99 a week! Why has Apple not pulled this app from the store due to misleading advertisement! Not to mention how impossible it is to cancel out of the subscription. Tuning.. I really liked the app but then they updated it to where I can’t get distortion without paying, which I thought was dumb. Then I wanted to play things like SOAD or Three Days Grace and I can’t do that in E standard, so I think you should add a tuning option so u can tune it to things like Drop D, C, C#, Ect. Horrible. When I saw this I was super happy to try and play because I travel a lot and I can’t bring my guitar but when I got the app it was so different all the songs were not what I expected and I didn’t even know the songs at all it was horrible I’ve been playing guitar for a couple of months and the guitar sound NOTHING like the real thing NOTHING! If I were you and thinking about downloading the game don’t you won’t be happy I’m going to delete this app right now

I downloaded this app because I wanted to get a feel on how to play guitar but I can’t even get into the app with out starting a free trial I don’t want to start and I downloaded another app by This company to see if it was just like this one but it wasn’t don’t download these you can’t get in without starting the trial and them charging your account if you forget to cancel it don’t make a free app if your going to make people pay to use it

Guitar app review. It’s a nice learning tool for beginners, that can teach one how to read music and what the letters mean, as far as chords and octaves are concerned. However, learning how to play guitar… The hardest part is how to use the bridge and placement of fingers. Therefore, it’s nice for fun but not to learn how to play. Also sounds pretty realistic. I gree with the comment I read: “Just use garage band”

All time low. I didn’t download this game or anything simply because of the ads for the app. I was playing on another one of my games I downloaded and their ad popped up on my screen. THESE PEOPLE ARE USING THE LOOTING THATS GOING IN IN THE COUNTRY AS AN AD IDEA. They say “don’t loot, download.” That to me has to be on of the lowest way of promoting your app I have ever seen. Crap. The app is horribly designed. I would have to have gestures off on my device to use it without bringing up my dash or dock. But that’s just the beginning of what’s wrong. If you are going to force people to buy it by use of splash ads that take up the entire screen with no exit button or X (that I could see), just charge for it from the app center. But why would someone pay for this when you can strum a virtual guitar in GarageBand for free? They shouldn’t, this app is garbage.

Helps me learn songs on my real guitar!. With the option to play different songs in the app it will show you what chord it’s playing and if you memorize the different chords in order you can play it in real life

Find it as a game but it’s hard to do. This game I love it but when I’m playing and I do like songs for example senrorita IT IS JUST SO HARD TO PLAY even if I do a different song it’s still really hard so I just wanted to put this saying it’s a little hard actually not a little, REALLY hard that sounds about right please change it so it isn’t so hard to play

Watch out for recurring charges. I thought about trying this for $8 but forgot to cancel so got charged again the next month. I tried to ask for cancellation after the charge was made but it sent me through an automated q&a which automatically rejected the request (in fact you cannot even request a reverse of charges after it’s been charged.) No customer service. Buyer beware!

Guitar app. I’ve always been around music all ways wanted to learn with to play this app has allowed me to hear how each cord sounds or I can play chords mode which is cool cause that taught me how to strum and listen to what your playing

Not Guitar What So Ever. I’m 34 and have been playing guitar for 6 years now and I would consider myself an expert. I installed this game thinking it would be an easy way to get my 8 year old started on guitar but no. Each chord is not balanced or correctly placed on the fret board. I am ever disappointed because people will be playing this game thinking it’s what guitar is really like. Don’t get this game if you want to learn real guitar, there are better alternatives.

Meh. It has really good potential but it needs more songs plus more songs we know and want to play. In the ad I seen it was teen sprit from nirvana and there wasn’t even that sound in the list. Plus the people singing aren’t even the people who wrote the song. I understand there’s legal things to it but don’t make it look like I can play my fav songs if I can’t even do it correctly.

Just started to play again.. Found this app to help me play my guitar again after years of rest. It works great in the way that everything is on the app and I don’t need to fumble through my old music books looking for chords. The song selections are great too!

Awesome. This app is really cool, has a great selection of songs and it works really well. I have the free version because I think paying 7.99/ week is quite a lot but nonetheless it doesn’t take from the app working well. It’s just me being a “broke” person.

Not many songs. I downloaded this app expecting quite a few songs but when I opened the app I soon realized that there wer only about 100 or so songs. Another thing, the songs under the rock genre are kind of lame. Maybe add songs by Pat Benatar or Metallica or something. Those would be fun songs to play.

It’s alright for about ten minutes. Should definitely have a left and right handed orientation for this game, not easy to have to swipe and play across the whole screen and have my hang in front of it so it’s harder to see what’s coming and the song selection is small but with these updates I think this app could be awesome and a great way to pass the time!!
