It used to translate. Now that I have a new iPhone the app was reinstalled twice and I can’t get it to switch to Spanish. :( it used to with my prior phone.

Wish is wasn’t $20. I really enjoyed the free audio portion of this app. I don’t have much down time to sit and read the Bible and this would be a great way for me to listen to the word everyday while I’m working, unfortunately I didn’t realize it was a $20 app. I didn’t even know $20 apps were a thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Never bored with this audio Bible. I highly recommend this app. Did you know in just 19 to 20 hours you can listen to the entire New Testament? My Catholic brethren, you cannot proclaim the truth without knowing God’s word. It doesn’t matter your age you can quickly catch up with your Bible reading neighbor and begin to share the Good News with this great dramatized audio Bible app.

Worth the 💰💵!. I was looking to purchase the printed edition of the Ignatius Study Bible, and while I was checking my options, I ran across this app and gave it a try. I was impressed by its standard features, so I decided to buy the whole package (study Bible & audio since I had heard the audio portion before and really enjoyed it). I have no regrets as the study Bible is a wonderful resource and the audio version is great when you’re traveling, walking, relaxing etc. Plus the fact that it can be accessed on different platforms makes it a no brained for me. The Gospel of Mark has the audio and study versions active so can try these opinions out before making a commitment.

Columns. This update is going to verse 1 of the chapter you choose, not to the verse you choose. I hate double columns on an iphone: too hard to read. Please fix this

Great Bible!. The voice acting is incredible! the sound effects make you feel that you are in the scene. These recording are great for lectio divina or when doing Ignatian meditations and/or contemplations. The text used is the RSV-CE which is a much more literal translation than most Catholics in the USA are used to. I love this and look forward to the release of the Old Testament.

Excellent. This is the app I've been waiting for. It offers instant access to to reference/commentary. The Study Guides are exceptional. The note-taking, highlighting and reference ability makes delving into scripture super easy. App is easily organized and user friendly. Highly recommend!

I love this App. It’s a wonderful Bible and everything you need for walking with our Lord God. Great for earbuds while working, walking, anytime you are on the move.

Consider low vision users. I want the app to open to the daily readings like it used to and not a menu page. I have low vision and the gray type on the white background used for the menu is impossible for me to see.

Captures your attention!. I am in my car a lot for work. I listened and read the new testament in three months. There are different voices for different characters. I was very happy with my purchase regardless of the price. Fyi- the audio is only for the new testament.

Still waiting for support. I wrote for help on October 8th. It's now November 5th and nothing. $20 app and zero service- thanks.

Inspiring, beautiful, well done!. I downloaded the Gospel of Mark just because it was free. I absolutely love it! It's a beautiful way to hear God's Word. It's a beautiful work. Now I'm waiting to save some money because I want to purchase the rest of the books. Great for listening while driving or on an trip.

Phone crash with latest update. I was uploading all my updates this morning and my phone froze up when updating this app. After several attempts at resetting I was finally able to cancel the update, then delete the app. I look forward to this major bug getting fixed so I can get back to using this amazing app. Love the app, hate the bug!

Truth & Life Audio New Testament. Absolutely phenomenal audio cast that stays consistent all the way through. You will come to yearn for the voice of Jesus in a whole new way! Take comfort in Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, James, Peter and all the greats. You can easily bookmark and send favorite scriptures. A+

BEST BIBLE AUDIO AVAILABLE IN APP STORE!. Exact SAME as the EWTN App, both are lovely fantastic. Not sure what’s up with that, but... Audio is the best I have ever ran across in the App Store. You will not be disappointed!

Stacked on my iPhone as I tried to update this app. Don't let me to delete or to do anything. I need help because the app ‘installing...’ but don't do anything.

Latest update. 1) Love the RED color for the words of Jesus. 2) NO NO NO ... Do not like the CHANGE of bolding current paragraph to gray highlight. It's a step backwards, as black on grey is a poorer contrast than black letters on white background, making it a little harder to read. It might work on a big desk monitor, but not on an iPhone. 3) Like the addition of chapter back/fwd buttons.

Excellent Catholic Bible and Resources App. I’ve been using this app for close to 10 years, and it’s awesome. It’s strange that it never shows up when you search “bible” in the App Store, but it’s a great edition! I like annotating and bookmarking passages, and being able to create my own tags for passages so that I can revisit a theme later. For example, one of my tags is “trusting God,” and whenever I read something on the topic, I bookmark/ tag the passage. Then, later I can revisit those verses and meditate on them.

Old Testament. I love the app and the audio feature but I would love for the Old Testament to be in audio as well.

While listening to your teams reenactments. While listening to your teams reenactments brings back those momentsans NOW MOMENTS for not only me, any whom listen closely are united in those moments. Like a time travel in the blink of a prayer like the proverbial ( ? ) fly on the wall , yet now you stand allong side of them all. Your blessed lives are a blessing to me others. Wait till your hearing again and again. Old Testament Audio works availabe ? Yep, thats why you got at least 5 stars from me. And includes especially for you all real prays and Virtual Hugs…. xoxoxo

Latest upgrade is awful. I am so upset right now at the changes that were made to this app that I’m practically in tears that all my notes have disappeared. This is awful.

Loved this app for years. Excellent app. Only downside is when they do updates, my data tends to get lost. I have years of bookmarks, so I always feel a little panicked when my data is all gone. This last update several years worth of bookmarks disappeared and would not restore when I logged in and synced. I tried contacting their support and got nothing back, but I just now deleted the app and reinstalled, and then my bookmarks finally synced back up.

Crashed my phone. Trying to install the most recent update crashed my phone. I had to reset my settings to be able to use my phone again. I tried to download the app once everything was back to normal, and it crashed the phone again, so I had to start over again. I can’t delete the app either. What on earth did you put in that update?????

Brilliant. I heard about this app on The Patrick Madrid show and downloaded immediately. So happy I did. The bible narration is beautifully done and brings a new element in understanding the scriptures. I drive quite a bit for my job and used this day to listen to the gospels during my commute. I highly recommend!!

Bumpy start. Had to load the new update then shut off my phone, then restart and it worked great!!! This is an awesome app and has TONS of stuff to chose from! I have purchased the study Bible and the audio… I wish they had the OT audio or at least gave us an indication that they are working on it and a completion date.

May need to uninstall/reinstall to make work. This update originally rendered my app useless too, but then I tried deleting and reinstalling it, and that made it work again. If you don't want to delete this app (and thus its data) but want to wait for a newer update instead, consider searching the App Store for "bible study ignatius" (without the quotes) and download the first found app listed to use as an alternate in the meantime.

Excellent!. I purchased the Ignatian study Bible in the app and it has changed the way I read the Bible. It is wonderful to get information built right in. I also love how my highlights can sync between my iPad and my iPhone. Thanks for the great app!

Very very awesome app!!. I really like that it has the bible audio with sound effects, you can highlight and share your notes, daily readings, stations of the cross, the Rosary, EWTN links and so much more all in one. Also like that it has historical information for each scripture book.

Amazing experience. I absolutely love this audio bible. I feel that I am there & that I can imagine the actual scenes taking place. This isn't your typical audio bible where a narrator just reads scripture. There are great sound effects; even a simple detail such as when Jesus is walking, you can hear his footsteps.

Frozen phone. Had the app on my old iPad. When the iPad died, I tried to download the Bible onto my phone..... big mistake! My phone froze and the man at the ATT store had to fix it. He read some past reviews of the app and suggested that I not download again til the reviews say the problem is fixed.

Problem with latest update. Like other recent reviews the latest update fails to complete and sort of breaks the app store. Other apps cant update and cant do anything with this app (cant stop the frozen update, nor delete/reinstall this app). Iphone 7 here. Will wait for a fix or see if it resolves itself. Tried all the user-side suggestions already (reboot phone, etc)

New update no good. I wish there was a way we could opt to go back to the old interface. It was much more user friendly, had more options, and was easier to navigate. I’ve used this app less with the new update since it’s more clunky and more difficult to read the Bible. Can we go back?

High quality audio. Amazing Bible app, well worth the $20. I think I’ve been using it four years with no real issues. The sound effects and audio are extremely clear, professional and capture your attention. I enjoy using the timer to fall asleep listening to the Bible. Lots of extras included too. I would love a link to Catechism of the Catholic Church!

Great until update. I use this app practically daily and it’s been a great resource. The recent update wiped my two years of tags and highlights. I don’t understand it. I’ve emailed the company and I have not heard back. I really hope you resolve this because you are definitely a five star app until this update.

Excellent Narration. I’ve had this app for years and it’s been my companion for some time. I have fond memories of listening to Saint Paul dip his pen in ink, shut a door, stole the fire, and even cough. It really opens up the imagination. Plus, it’s a digital Ignatius Study Bible! My only reservation with 5 stars is the Daily Readings. They are wrong too often. At least, not in line with the USCCB.

So cringy. Could only listen to 12 verses before i had to turn it off. i hate the theatrics just read it. I reccommend the douay rheims audiobible by steve webb

Please fix this. I’ve recently had trouble updating my apps. They will not update and my phone continues to freeze. Then, my mom, whose phone has been working perfectly, tried to download this app. There must be a problem with the update to where it will NOT completely download to the phone. Please figure out what it is going on with this so we can get the updated version and get our phones to work again.

Help. When I try to install on iPad it freezes Bought and installed on iPhone no problem Can anyone help?

Fantastic App. Amazing audio while the text scrolls. Dramatic reading, original music, and sound effects allow the user to imagine the scene. It is a much more natural way to absorb information. I’m especially pleased with the new study bible which provides additional context, history, and understanding. I really hope they produce the audio for the Old Testament as well.

Absolutely the Best audio Bible!. I gave this 5 stars but if I had the option, it would be 10+++! Beautiful audio, clear language, easy to understand and great dramatization. Love this. Best audio app with complete books of the Bible. The read along capability is clear and easy too. If you want a reliable bible,period, this is the one!!

Highlights. Next update please consider NOT erasing all my highlights They were wiped out with the last update. The app is great other than that The update for iOS 13.1 has a bug. When tapping the underlined text that brings up the study dialogue “Tree box” when finished reading and after closing the box instead of staying on the same page where you were located it jumps to the next page causing me to have to hit the back button to find my original location. Hope you fix this update as the updates are few between.

Upgrade problems. I was having upgrade problems and I could not figure out why it wouldn’t upgrade on my iPad. I sent a email to support and they sent me some directions on how to upgrade. it worked immediately. Thanks for their support fast and efficient.

could be great.... I feel in love with this app. i go to sleep listening to the app. However, it should have the readings of the old testament with audio and spanish one too. It would be a great idea.... I already recomend this app to my family and friends.

Problem in retrieving purchased app.. Just got my new iPhone 6 s plus and I can't retrieve the truth and life I've purchased before. Only gives me the trial version.

Content removed. Previously paid for the this app and now the audio content is removed and I'm required to pay again...

Excellent Bible Resource. Absolutely love this app. Listen to it every night before bed. New Testament only is read to you. I really want the Old Testament too. I hope they're working on it. So nice to drift off to sleep using the timer function.

Great!. This is a great audio New Testament and it is free. I think it has audio for one Gospel but has the entire new testament for everyone to read. Really worth downloading.

KJB. The ability to hear and read the Bible is invaluable. I highly recommend everyone get this app. Also having the study note at your finger tips makes this app an excellent value.

Deceptive. Read fine print. You think you are getting a full New Testament for $19.99. Turns out you have to spend ANOTHER $19.99 to see footnotes, etc. Sorry but truth does not apply to this greedy developer.

Too expensive!!!!. Bible.is is way cheaper and you get several versions! The Actors may not be Celebrities but Just as Good!!!! Plus they have OT and NT!

Not impressed. The casting choice for our Lord's voice was horrible. It's not necessarily the "voice" but the delivery. It's awkward. The spoken translation does not match the translation used in the app. Also, the RSV in general reads awkward. If you want a good dramatized bible get the Word of Promise. As a Catholic I'm "supposed to" prefer this one. But I don't think that rule applies to dramatizations. This one simply isn't well executed. If you're going to spend money on a dramatization, spend it on a good one. Word of Promise.

Excellent for ministry!. I enjoy the app. I use it for prayer groups and people just close their eyes and enjoy the words of scripture.

Great app-update killed it. The last update made it unusable, quits after start. Navigation is cumbersome - lots of backtracking through menus to navigate the toc. Text sometimes different that the interpretation. It would be nice to be able to export bookmarks/highlighted text similar to kindle.

Awesome App. Better than expected I did come across one bug: Version 3.1 James 1:7-8 the audio and highlight go off and the last verse does not play.

Paid $19.99 and not Working. Interesting, as soon as I paid for the audio bible Truth and Life, an in app purchase, it is nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, no where in the site is Information to help me with this. Very disappointing.

Awesome!!!. This app is great. You can listen to high quality audio of the New Testament. The readers do a great job with lots of sound effects and background music. This is a great app for anyone who has a hard time reading the bible.

Where did my highlights go??. I have no complaints other than all of my highlights have been erased. It's going to take me a little while to get all of them back.

Excellent BUT... needs O.T. audio too. Thank you so much I love the audio of the N.T. The voices are excellent. Only a few voices are over dramatized but at least it's not a monotone voice. When will you have the audio for the O.T. It would be beneficial to have the whole bible. Will it be this year of 2012? Thank you!!!
