Pillboxie Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

The simple pill reminder. I have been using this app since it came out. I love it’s simplicity and ease of use. I Recommend it over the other “do it all” pill reminders. If all you want to do is be reminded when to take a pill, this app is for you.

No iwatch?!. I would give this 5 stars if it synced with iwatch. How can the free apps have this ability but a paid app not?! Otherwise a great app because you can set your own times and pick pill pictures that look like your pills.

Needs improvement. Can’t backup or restore the app so you can’t have the app syncing on multiple devices. This app would be great if you could do this why isn’t this a feature

Doesn’t work with current IOS, this should be pulled from the App Store.. Doesn’t work with current IOS, this should be pulled from the App Store.

Wish there were more options. I love this app but I wish there were more options like quarter hour times (9:15 or 9:45). Please consider this in future versions!

Good tool worth the weight. I love this tool. It needs some thins tweaked but I bet they can continue to improve with a medication administration class

I still use this app. The bad bugs of which I was aware seem to have been fixed. I am not sure what is so magical about midnight that I have to jump through hoops to indicate that I have taken a med that is scheduled for 11:30PM. There should be a 1-2 hour grace period. I put up with the idiosyncrasies because I really like the interface. Unfortunately the app doesn't get too many updates. Thanks for updating it for iOS 11, I have other apps that are keeping me bound to iOS 10.

Used it for years. Love this simple app. Very cute and effective. So glad it hasn't been ruined with crap ads and pop ups and whatnot.

Was a awesome app but no longer works. I loved this app for many years it was awesome . However with my new xs phone and ios12 it no longer sends alert reminders . I had to download another pill reminder app . Please update I really love this app and would like to use it again

Terrific app but.... I love this app, however it looks strange on my new iPhone X with iOS 11. It was updated two months ago but I’m not sure the developer is keeping up with iOS changes. When I opened it the display is scrunched with text overlapping on the top edge. This app has lived on my front page for the last several years. I hope the developer will update it and keep it current so that it looks nice and continues to work well. It’s a terrific app.

Please update, debug. I’m redownloading for a final try to get banner notice to work. Been using app for years on iPhones. The 1st 2 wks with iPhone X was fine but now the reminder box on home page isn’t connecting with app when “take” or other command clicked. Instead I have to go into app to check off taking med. It used to notify me on Apple Watch but that stopped also with statement “have to open app”. I can easily live without the Watch notification, but the phone problem shouldn’t be happening. Also, would you PLEASE unscrunch the header so the words are visible. Please—this is the best med reminder as it’s short n sweet—quick & easy, simple to set up & use (when working right)

Alarms quit working, Meds scheduled but don’t show on list. After using this app for literally years, today it had a major hiccup. Alarms for 9 AM meds quit working. The others all worked. I tried resetting reminders, which looked simple enough, but now most of my meds in the due now list have disappeared. I went back in and rescheduled all of them, but they no longer appear in my due now list. It makes this totally useless for me. I’m terribly frustrated. This went from being the best app for medication reminders to useless just this morning. I’m just sick about this! Wishing there was a fix!!

It really helps. Ok, I have no experience with any other pill apps but this works wonderfully for me. I have gotten older and was doing a terrible job of taking 8 meds not counting supplements. I took pics of the pills and enter the dosage and time. That simple. Now I am not afraid that I accidentally took too much or skipped any of my meds.

Update this app. For the love of god can we please update this app? It looks horrible and it crashes every time I use it.

Update your app. Please update the app and bring it up to date. Keeps crashing and can't sync notifications. If I can give this app 0 stars I would for your lack of adaptability.

Great app!. Works well!

Tech Support Non-Existing!. I purchased this program over a week ago. Within a couple of hours of using the program I experienced an issue. I sent an email requesting assistance. After several days I sent 2 more emails requesting help and still no response. The program has several flaws and NO support. There is also no means of getting my money back on the purchase of this program.

Great App!. Wish the developer was still updating, but this is *still* a great app after all these years. I love that I can use pictures of my actual medication if I want (instead of just having generic graphic representations). And I love the choice of reminder sounds that are so vastly different from my regular iPad sounds that when I hear it, I know immediately it’s for my medication instead of some other reminder. If anyone ever came back to work on this, I’d love to see an “archive” section where I can save old medicines I don’t take anymore (so if my doctor asks if I’ve ever taken xyz med, I can look in the archive and see or even tell him I took it and had some kind of reaction to it in the past as a reason that I stopped). It would also be cool to have some kind of backup/restore (even if it’s to my own personal storage space) in case I want to buy a new iPad at some point so I can still have all my data history. But anyway, thanks for such a great app!

Outdated Updates. I have used this for years, it did a great job and I really liked it. Sadly it is out of date again and does not display properly for the iPhone X, words are partially covered when you are in the detail mode.

Good app, but gone glitchy. And I can see why. This app hasn't been updated in nearly a year. When I go to adjust any of my medications, the app freezes, and shuts down. At this point, I'm going to look for another reminder app. 4 stars because of the glitching.

Need glitches fixed. I used to love this app. However, lately it has been failing to remind me, not showing all my meds that I take, and I get that "action failed" notice a lot. I've reset my reminders several times. I've also rebooted my iPad. Nothing seems to help. It's a shame that the app isn't more current.

Essential to surgery recovery. I used Pillboxie to organize and follow my medication schedule while recovering from total knee replacement surgery. I didn't have to worry about missing a medication or taking overdoses. My roster of caregivers didn't have the added responsibility of pill wrangling. It worked flawlessly on an iPhone 6s Plus. It even impressed my family physician.

I won’t let go, Jack. Pillboxie looks horrible on my iPhone X and the notification quick actions only work 50% of the time, but it’s still so simple to use and works just enough that I don’t want to go anywhere else. I’m afraid the next update will finally break it, so I’ll raise a glass to a great app.

Great App. Great app but please, please, please, aversion for the Apple Watch!!!

Add these features!. There needs to be some sort of way to do PRN (as needed meds). Also, there is no way to insert transdermal and suppository medications. Please add these! Until you do I can't use this app! I was looking for a way to organize my meds, looks like I will have to keep looking!

Pillboxie is a godsend. It is now May 2023. I don’t blame the dev even if this app is abandoned. It has been so many years and I know just maintaining dev status is a financial burden. But dev, please know that this app has helped me tremendously in maintaining my meds regimen over the years. I have issues with the heart and take a lot of meds multiple times a day. Other apps, including Apple’s own, just doesn’t cut it with me. Thank you for this app. Previous review: It is July 2020. Thank god this app is still working. I’m not exaggerating when I say this app keeps me alive. I just saw an update made by Apple. Something about a certificate. I am scared to update. I don’t know what I’ll do when one day Pillboxie stops working... My review from a few years ago: Every time iOS gets rev’d, I’m afraid that Pillboxie will stop working. This isn’t the fault of the dev; I understand that the effort necessary to keep this app updated may not necessarily pay off from business standpoint. But please, please keep this app functionally updated. I’ve been using this app for many years now, and, this app is critical to my health. If this app was not free, I will still happily pay to get to use it. Perhaps the dev can include some way for me to donate, so that I can show my appreciation for this important app. Thank you dev for this wonderful app to keep me honest with all the medication I need to take daily, to stay healthy and alive. Meanwhile, I’m going to go purchase some of the other apps offered by the dev. Thank you, Michael

Unforgiving if you oversleep. Easy to set up but if you sleep past noon, the app will only show you the evening medications. I entered 11:30 for the morning meds because I'm a night owl.

Notifications are broken. “Action Failed: You must launch Pillboxie and view your Due screen to mark any changes manually.” Don’t get me wrong, I love this app (used it since iPhone 3GS), but notifications and snooze are broken, and have been for a long time. Yes, you can “reset notifications” in settings, but the fix never lasts.

Dependable. I have been using this app for year. It never lets me down. It’s very easy to edit. It actually keeps me alive because I never forget to take my pills.

My most important app!!. I absolutely love this app. I have had pillboxie since it first came out. It helps when I go to the Dr. , it helps that I can email my med list to other people when they need it. I feel one day and hit my head on the pavement and was unconscious. The paramedics asked my daughter when meds I was on and she remembered I had this app, so she grabbed my phone and was able to give the paramedics my medicine list. Thank you for this app!!!

Fantastic pill reminder. I couldn’t believe all the versatility that this app offers! Unbelievably and dependable for all my medical records and reminders. Love that I can email my doctors my medical history and medicines.

Great app!. *Update* I am going back to this app after trying many others. The “snooze” feature brings me back, because no other apps do it properly. I really wish it was formatted for my iPhone XR screen and that sometimes when I mark my pill as “taken” I didn’t have to do it twice. All in all I’m grateful that the developer keeps it in the store “as-is” rather than pulling it altogether. This app is great for reminding me to take my medication! It is relentless in not allowing me to forget even if I'm busy, which is important since my medication is time sensitive. Also, the time can be extended a little by "snoozing" which is nice if im busy. And for those who don't like this feature, the author added an option to turn off the "snooze" feature, which returns app to previous functionality of leaving you with a notification or badge! Love that I have variability in dosages and times of dose, and that I can mark my "wellness". Thanks do much for this!

Works great and easy to use. I have been using this app for years. Simple to setup and use. Even set to remind me of my dogs meds. Quick tip I set a dummy pill at 11 pm in case I was not able to take my 6 pm meds and needed a later reminder. Maybe in future you could have an option to snooze for an hour or two.

I love this app!!. I tried so many pill apps that didn’t work for me until I finally found Pillboxie. It’s the only app that understands that sometimes there are meds that need to be taken during the day but not at the same time as other meds. I hope they keep up with the iOS platform so I can continue to use it as a upgrade my phone. I haven’t found an app like this one yet.

I like this app - Update. UPDATE I posted before that I wasn’t able to be notified in my Apple Watch after the recent update...well I was wrong. The watch is still new to me and I had forgotten that it “mimics” my phone! Low and behold...this morning my Pillboxie reminder showed up on the watch! This really is the best and easiest pill reminder out there. Prior posting... This app is great for folks that need reminders to take their meds. We all get busy and forget. It was working great on my Apple Watch 5 until the recent update. It promptly disappeared! Still on my iPhone X and works well, but I don’t always have my phone with me. Sure hope that the developer updates the app to be compatible with the updates that Apple has issued. Seems that this app hasn’t need updated for 2 yrs.

Good App, seriously in need of an update. Updating as I had switched to another app. It would be nice if development of this app kept up with iOS updates but it seems as if the developer is happy to let it limp along. What I have said before is still true. Maybe they will be embarrassed into updating the app. I really like this app and depend on it but it is getting very long in the tooth and needs an update. Doesn’t scroll to current date and time, needs a backup, needs better historical info

Types of appearance. It is very practical application, it is really useful for my lifestyle.. I just need you to add "cream/Ointment" type in appearance section.. I hope you accept my suggestion.. thanx

Has Developer given up on this app?. I’ve been using this app for several years now and with each new iteration of iOS it gets harder to use. I have tried at least 5 other types of apps like this and it’s still the most customizable and easy to use in terms of setting up the medications and timing of reminders. But it gets harder to mark things as taken, runs slowly, and often crashes. Please update this app!

Bug?. Seems to be a bug in the app. I can’t add new meds or change the name of existing. Hide keyboard button isn’t working. Have to close app and reopen but changes didn’t take effect. Very frustrated. Have been using this app for years.

Solid App but needs an update. I agree with some of the other reviews that although this App is really good it needs an update and a working interface to the Apple Watch. The alert to take medication shows up on the watch but you can't use the watch to say you have taken the medicine or need a snooze.

Use Pillboxie for Physical Therapy Too. I really like Pillboxie. Currently I’m recovering from knee surgery and it helps me to stay on schedule with my meds. Also, I’m using it for my physical therapy tracking. Currently I have 5 “meds” that are actually PT activities: 1X/Day 2X/Day 4X/Day 9X/Day Ice (happens to be also 9X/Day) Key point is the scheduling, just like for medications.

Needs Sync & little more flexibility. I really like this APP. It helps me keep track of prescription & dietary supplements. But ... The ability to sync between devices is much needed. More flexibility in scheduling monthly meds also needed. For example - the first Monday of every month instead of every 4 weeks.

Definitely worth it. Excellent tool for managing a complex med schedule. Takes a little time to set up for your specific needs, and a little time to get comfortable with, but then it "just works". Get this app, you won't regret it.

Easy and Helpful. I've used this for probably 4 years, and it keeps me on schedule for my medications. The UI is quite innovative, if a little dated. Kudos to the developers for keeping it working with the newer iOS versions. Some updates would be great though (cleaner UI, support for plus phone resolution, as it currently scales to larger UI on my iPhone 6+, more pill shapes, sizes, colors).

Still the Best Medicine reminder out🩵💊. I’ve been using this app for over 7 years. Pillboxie is easy to use to remember my medication. Other medicine reminders are complicated and not as customizable and visibly appealing. That’s one of my favorite features. The photos I use. Also Scheduling a reminder is easy by just dropping a pill into a pillbox. I also love that you don’t have to have Wi-Fi connection to use it. Always reminds me of schedule even when the phone is on sleep mode. Just a great app to have.😃

Repeat alarm setup needs work. I really need something in between "alarm that goes off once a minute (even though I can snooze)" and "no repeat alarm at all." Since my medication is to treat anxiety there was no middle ground between screaming at the once per minute feature and just flat out forgetting when I turned it off. If you're wondering, "how can that stress someone out so much," I bet you've never needed anxiety medication! Anyway, this app would be totally perfect for me if that was an adjustable feature (like every 10 minutes! 20!). Alarm-alarm-alarm-then-snooze is so irritating for me, and the alternative being no repeating at all renders it totally ineffective for me.

Great.. 5 years later and this app is working great.

Love... But.... I use this app from years ago. But I still think that needs an interval program for occasional medication, like: take this pill for X days, beginning X date and finishing X other day. Please include something like that because not all the medication it's forever.

International App store. Please make available for international app store

Needs an Update. Nice UI and it works well/does the job I want but it's very dated. Please update to be more inline with iOS 10 design and add a widget for five stars. EDIT: Watch app doesn't log meds taken in phone app.

Easy to use. 6stars :D. They followed the golden rule. KISS & made a great, visually pleasing, easily used & navigated. All around brilliant app. I haven't seen anything that comes close for what I want it to do. Help me keep track & remember my meds. When you take many different meds at different times throughout the day, I'd by an iPhone just for this app.

Love the app. For me its great, looks fantastic and is easy.

Mr. Great app! Haven't missed one day since using pillboxie, thank you!

one off medications. The app is great for what it does but I would love to be able to add one off medications when I take them so that a complete history of my medications is stored in the app.

DON'T UPDATE!!!!. This was working perfectly before the update, now the welcome screen doesn't work and even after you check the med off the reminder sound still sounds and then I set the remainder sound to OFF and it still sounds!!!!!! Very frustrating now. Please fix or put back the way it was. DON'T UPDATE UNTIL FIXED

pillboxie. it is great to help someone like me who gets mixed up with their meds. So easy to mark when you have them.

Nifty. As a pharmacist I am pretty impressed with this ap. The multiple colours and dosage time mean it's suitable for if you take lots of medicines, although I only use it for the contaceptive pill.

Love this app. This app is invaluable to people like me who not only forget to take their meds but also forget whether or not they've taken them - no more double ups or missed doses! Only addition I would like is to be able to have a pic of a half tablet, instead of having to write it in the notes.

Great app.... ...but where’s the iPhone X theme? I take a *lot* of medication - would appreciate the taller screen size.

Even my nanna could use it.. So simple and intuitive. Just does what it says on the box ... Beautifully!

Helpful in so many ways. Only ever check the boxes once you've swallowed them and this app is a lifesaver. Now when I go to bed wondering if I remembered to take my evening pills I can easily check this app and see. I use the note section to track the dates I make any dosage changes. History allows me to see any days I missed (or skipped). Everything about this app is simple and helpful.

Great app. Really clever little app and so helpful !!

Pills. This app is great for reminding me to take my meds it also tells my husband when he needs to use his eye drops before bed I'm impressed

Not bad :) !!. I love this app, it reminds me to take drugs I always forget! Though - I think the app should open so that you have to check it off when it reminds you. It also needs an injection option. It also needs a monthly reminder, as well as daily and weekly. Otherwise, thanks so much for reminding me!!

Easy to use. Very easy to use and definitely helpful app. However, I would like to see it updated to allow unplanned medicines to be used. I have asthma, and can't enter occasional use of my inhaler, unless I have a schedule set to it. I would like to be able to look back on the history section and see the frequency and patterns of use.

Wonderful app!. This app is my saviour!! I would be lost without it! Only problem is that it occasionally crashes when I get my pill notification, however that's a minor problem for a great app!

Very helpful. Improvement suggestion.... Excellent app, very easy to use. Reminders are great. A helpful improvement would be the ability to record the time that a pill is actually taken - e. g. When taking painkillers on an as-needed basis, would help to ensure doses are not taken too close together. Ideally for these the app could be set to reschedule a dose based on actual time previous dose was taken. Thanks though, this app is great.

Byron Stew. Very happy with this AP! Would like to have a weekly & monthly option as well as a PRN option...but over all very happy with the look & ease of use!

Pillboxie. Helping me keep on track, Definitely a Great App

Fantastic App but with one vital missing feature. This is a fantastic application, however to make it indispensable would be the ability to either backup your history and settings, or even better, backup and sync across all devices via iCloud or Dropbox. After re-installing my phone and upgrading the iOS i've lost my history, even iOS backups didn't retain the data. Otherwise, well done.

Great, easy to use app!. Tried out a lot of the med reminders in the App Store and wasn't hugely impressed until I found this one. What I love about pillboxie is the fact that you can mark the dose as taken before the alarm goes off. For me I sometimes wake up early and take the pill straight away. On a lot of apps you can't actually mark it off early. I do wish there was a 'pils remaining' option and a reminder when you're running low and need a prescription filled. Overall so straight forward and simple to use that I'm happily sticking with this app. Hasn't crashed for me at all (in reference to below review). Very happy so far!

Pillboxie. This brilliant app makes me wish I was taking more pills just so's I can use it more!! A fun app that's so easy to use, visually appealing and the best part: my medications always taken on time every time! I love it and give it 10 stars!! What's more it's FREE!!

THE BEST APP. This is the BEST app for meds. The developers listened to EVERY suggestion. I LOVE it. This is the only one I need.

New update. This app worked perfectly until the new update. Constantly crashes!

Lifesaver. Never forget a pill now, the annoying reminders make sure of that. And if you need to change the time of the dose it is so easy to do. Best pill reminder I have used

Very useful, helps me immensely. I like this, I am a recalcitrant when it comes to taking my meds properly, this helps me tremendously. My only comment is the last update did something that screwed up the times, especially if I had Togo back and change the time to when I actually took the meds.

Great App. Fantastic App. Easy to use. And if used right you won't double dose. Having a photo of your pills Genius. 😊

Great app :). I would forget all the time without this app! It's awesome :)

A few tweaks and would be perfect. A few tweaks and would be perfect - as someone not new to taking meds but new to lunchtime meds it is hard to remember at this busy time of day. As a nurse myself I know the importance of taking meds at scheduled times, especially this particular new med if I want my sleep at nigtht !! Would love to see this app have a setting to alarm even if your phone is on silent, also to have repeat reminders go off at intervals until until you check it off - in noisy areas you may not hear the reminder and completely forget to check your phone/take your med until hours later. Then this app would def have 5 stars in my opinion.

Good little app. Good little app. Stunning design and a real pleasure to use. It could be a little more featured, for example, I take one pill at 7am some days and 9am on others. It would be cool if you could do that on this app rather than making separate pills that make me feel like I'm a junky for having so many. But this as a feature might take away from the beautiful simplicity of it all.

Best app out there for this function. Forget all others.. The only things I would like to see in possible future updates are: • Having 'transdermal patch' added as a graphic. • If 'mg/mcg/ml' could be added. • The 'smoke puff' from the inhaler could be lightly tinted the same color. Other than those tiny nuances this app is almost perfect. Congratulations, it's easily the best app out there for this purpose. 5 stars. Get it!

Fantastic. Awesome App. Love the nagging reminder. Would be great if it would keep track on how many tablets you have left. I'm traveling around remote areas and not always near a chemist. By the time I realise I am on my last packet I am no where near a chemist to obtain more.

Fav utility app- amazing and sleek. This is my favorite app for managing my medicines :-) - Beats my general calendar and the style is amazing . Great price and full of substance . Thanks :-)

Buggy and needs more features. This app has potential but even with a single medication I am finding this app buggy. At least 50% of the time it does not display the snooze button or taken buttons but that's ok just close and reopen the app, it then crashes and open it again, it is ok. It would be nice to have another version that allows the reminder interval to be set to a longer time than 60seconds.

Brilliant!. Perfect, just what I needed as I'm always forgetting my meds. Very simple to use. Especially like that I can choose what each pill looks like. Would, like to be able to have a 'cream' in the list and just to make it a little more fun, how about the ability to change the background?

Great App - thanks. Use it every day - reminds me and keeps track for me. What I would appreciate is the option for a tube of ointment in the medication details.

Great app, latest update makes it greater!. I am hopeless at consistently taking tablets, always have been, probably always will be. So an app like this really helps - I've been using it for few months now but I must admit to still missing the occasional dose when I've been busy and the alarm went off only once. With the addition of the reminder feature I have never missed a dose - it just keeps harassing me until I get up and take my pill - or it annoys my better half enough that she brings them to me if I can't hear the alarm! Highly recommended - thank you Jared.

Great app! However... I'm relatively happy with this app. The presentation is great and the reminder sounds are a refreshing change. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that I'm limited to adding reminders for "daily" medication only. I take another medication 3 times a week instead of daily but am unable to add it to the app. With that feature added however: 5 stars!

Lifesaver!. The best medication reminder I've come across - and I have tried a few of them! The latest update has made great improvements - it now keeps reminding you until you've ticked the boxes, and different medication types have been added. I love it and it's become a real lifesaver - literally.

Pls update UI. it does what it's supposed to do, but could use a little update on the user interface look/design

Easy, simple.. And I haven't missed a dose since!

Glitchy. I find this app useful but it would be brilliant if it wasn't so glitchy; the names of the meds are missing in the default screen, previous days meds say "not due yet" instead of missed. Also the meds history would be great if you could see all of the meds with in a month view.

Great little app. Like others have said it would also be good if it could keep track of hen you need to renew your prescriptions.

Pillboxie is great. Great App. Makes taking my meds on time so much easier. Works really well regardless of my mental state.

Just a few hiccups. This app is beautifully presented, but there are a couple of things that probably new to be fixed up or added. You can't log in any previous doses. I've even tried changing the date on my phone to log in past doses, but it doesn't work. Like someone else said, missed doses come us as "not taken yet". If you change the time of day you're taking the medication by taking the pill out and dropping it in another time slot, it comes up saying you need to take both the old and new doses. Suggestion: there's no feature to say that you start taking a new med on a particular day, which would be helpful for people such as myself who are still figuring out the right dosage. Adding this into the schedule would be helpful.

Suggestions. This App is very handy! I am frequently required to take multiple medications, and it can get confusing!!! Thanks to this App, I get reminded when to take each Med :) Suggestion for improvements would be to: add 'as required Meds', and adding medication warnings, or alerts so you can't overdose on Meds. Also, the UI is a little old, perhaps update for iOS 8 and the new screen resolutions. Cheers. Thanks.

Perfect pillboxie. Works - I take my meds - do I need to say more???

Not worth download. Tried it for a couple of weeks. Ok, it looks pretty. But functions are very basic and it just doesn't work as the help videos show. The videos are very basic. Main problem is that the menu tabs never showed up - making the rest of the 'help' irrelevant. So unless you get whatever you set up entirely right first time, bad luck. Because you can't delete a med, you can't change a schedule once set, so now you have something nagging you that you can't change at all. Oh, except for the colors and shape - big deal. No support available - I emailed and got no reply. Nothing on website. Uninstalled and tried again. - no change. Dumped it. complete waste of time.

OOOPPPSSS IT CRASHED!!!!!!. Just upgraded the IOS to upgrade to the new version. Then all it did was CRASH, right up till I uninstalled and re-installed, But then all my data was lost. Not much help scince I use this app for major medications and three doctors as well take a look at whats going on with my Medications. Looks like back to the app store for me.

Easy as!!. No fuss. Easy to use. Saves me every time.

Good but.... This app is plain and simple I like how the you can choose an art clip they provide or you can take a custom shot,

Wow! I LOVE THIS APP I USE IS 24/7. I been using this app for like 4years or so? 3or 4 I remember reading somewhere that the dev was retiring the app and removing it from App Store And I just recently got a new phone so I was very sad I would have to replace the app But it’s still here !!!!😃😍😱 IM SO HAPPY YAYYYY @Devs💙 thank u!!

Simple program. Works great - simple program and easy to set up. If you are forgetful about medications, it is better to combine the use of this with a dosette (pill box), as it only shows the pills for the day (if you forgot to take them yesterday, you won't see this information on the app - it only shows what you have missed for "today"). The pull down menu on the iphone will show alerts that you have missed over past days as long as you haven't checked into the app. April 7/2012 - Still a great program, though it has gotten more complex to use so there are more steps for setting up. Now has a history so you can see if pills have been forgotten. Would still recommend this one.

Perfect. Exactly what I wanted.!! Works great if I was to make a medicine reminder app. This would be it

New update FAILURE !. Very happy with the app until I updated today to the latest version. A total failure. Lost all my history, data...everything. It crashed over and over after the update. No instructions on how to get data back. Email exchange with developer did not help. Before the update I was a very happy user I must say. 6 months worth of data lost in cyberspace....a shame.

Swipe. Swiping on home screen in new version does not work....says app must be open and do manually. Other than that, I love the app

Nagging reminder. I really like this app but this morning the nagging reminder does not want to turn off even after checking off that i have taken my medication.... Please fix. I dont want to have to delete the app.

Dangerously broken. I literally put my life in the digital hands of this app. Since IOS7, however, it is dangerously broken. Alarms don't go off, banners don't appear. So good before, so useless now.

Good stuff, but... Please update the UI it looks outdated.

Nicely done. Nicely put together. VERY easy to operate and set up. Simple and efficient layout. Easy to read everything. Several alert sounds to choose from. Well done.

Perfect. This app is perfect for me. Visually appealing and well organized. Does what it does very well indeed. Best one out there...no annoying going to the web for every action you take. Even the audio reminder is very pleasant. If you need an app like this, get this one.

Nice app. Straight forward and easy to use. Very helpful for caretakers or those who need to take multiple pills. Worth every penny. Only suggestion, Please consider changing "Nagging reminders" feature to be customizable.

Needs work. Would have been nice to see a few more features such as dosage on hand. A reminder to refill when low, warning labels, better descriptions of meds instead of a generic clip art.

It's now time for an update. Great app but you need to listen closely to your app users suggestions... It's now time for an update.

Easy. Great tool to help you keep track of your meds on the go.

Needs snooze button!. I use Pillboxie daily. The only complaint I have is that if for some reason I have to delay taking my meds for 1/2, 1 hour or such there appears to be no way to adjust the reminder for just that day. Even a doze tab with 15 minute increments would be appreciated. Otherwise I like it better than Rxmindme.

Could be dangerous for some users. I loved this app in the beginning. Now, when l take my evening medication it shows that I forgot to take a pill from my morning medication. I know it's an error in the app as I take all 4 pills at once and they're all checked off. Then in the evening it shows l forgot a pill from the morning. Started writing it down to prove to myself I was correct and I was. For this app to be successful you need to correct this as thus could prove deadly to some people.

It really helps me out but I would love more reminder options. I give it four stars for it's top notch GUI 5 stars if this is done -optional alert sounds or tones -right now the "nagging" function reminds every minute, too often for my liking.

Easy to use and versatile. After trying a few apps to monitor medications I found this one. It did everything I needed it to do and the user interface makes it quick and easy to enter and record meds taken, missed, or skipped and edit for time taken and altered dosages like 1/2 pill. The colours and graphics make it easy to see if you're following the schedule and what meds are next. Highly recommended.

Crashes after last update. Was a great pill reminder, but now it doesn't open and I'm looking to replace it. Would give four or five to it when it worked.

Needs iCloud sync. Easy to use app for remembering to take and record when meds were taken for multiple members of a household. I'd like to see iCloud sync added so I can manage meds from both my iPhone and iPad.

Great app that does exactly what I was looking for (update). Great app that does exactly what I was looking for - remind me of medication times, and keep a visual reminder (badge icon) on my screen until I mark the medications as taken. But, if I leave the app running in the background, my battery drains very quickly. I have to remember to shut it down every time.

Pillboxie. Updated iPad to iOS 9. Pillboxie launches, but then immediately closes.

Wonderful!. When I was 7 months pregnant I was put on antibiotics for 2 weeks but I kept forgetting to take them. I'd tried other medication reminder apps but none of them had customizable times for your pills! This app has a wonderful layout that's fun and easy to use - I was able to remember my antibiotics and my prenatal vitamins each day! They've got a check list so you can check it off after you've taken it so you're never in doubt. Thank you to the developers for this wonderful app - its improved my health!

Pillboxie. Without a doubt the best app for the older end like me. With one flick of the finger for all to see, the meds I'm taking, the dosages, the time, and even the colour and shape of each pill. Best thing since sliced bread, love it. Just showed it to my diabetic, and reguler doctor and they raved over it. Could'nt get out of the office untill they had showed and demostrated it to everybody in the building.

please update. this is great but looks weird on iphone x

Perfectly simple. Very intuitive interface. I wish it was in French though. Since the app has not been updated for a long time, I hope it will continue to work in the future.

Love it. I take multiple meds that I need to take at different times of the day and the alarms help me ensure that I take them on time. It's especially helpful if you take an item every 3-4 days. My doctor likes that I have a day by day record of any issues I'm having. I would love to see patches as an item in the medication type

iOS 7 update. Doesn't work after update

Pill box. It's great having reminders and setting the different meds and all. Love this app. I would like it even more if i could go back to the previous day at least to verify or edit

Great app. Keeps track of meds for my wife and myself as well as our two dogs. Handles fairly complex schedules. Needs some way of tracking as needed (prn) meds as well as icloud or Dropbox support for syncing across multiple devices. Indispensable for anyone that takes medications.

Needs backup/restore feature. An amazing app that cannot be replaced, however a backup and restore function for the database, albeit email or via iCloud is desperately needed for those who have complex setups configured.

Pretty good. Still love this app. Seems to be unable to email history as before. Maybe an iOS 12 related bug?

Great apps!. Great apps!

The best gets better [Updated]. I'd be lost without this app! An actual pillbox is great, unless you don't look at it. With this app, you get reminded to take your meds. The best is that you can create a profile of sorts of your meds - complete with color, shape and type. Love this app! Update: The lack of customizable reminder and snooze times is driving me mad! 1 minute reminders and 5 minute snooze time is WAY too short for me! PLEASE fix this!

Crashes with iOS 7. Crashes when checking a missed dose in iOS 7.

🌟 Thank-you thank-you! 🌟. Thank-you so much for updating this wonderful app. Now I can finally update to iOS 9 as this was what was stopping me from doing so. I couldn't loose this app. So thank-you again! Big hug!

Great app. A medication refill reminder would make it even greater.

👍🌟😃Love IT!❤. With my disability I have found this app incredibly helpful and reassuring. Needs some tweaking. Most XCLNT!☺☺

Many shortcomings. If you take 1 dosage say mon, wed, frid, sat and another dosage sun, tues, thurs it doesn't have a way to handle. It doesn't have very many pill shapes to choose from and you must resort to taking pictures. It wouldn't take much effort to significantly increase shape list. I also didn't see anything that dealt with your supply of pills, how many do you have, when are they running out, a reminder to reorder or a list of needed prescriptions for next dr visit. It seems very nice if you are taking small number of meds and you take same amount all the time, but doesn't fit reality as most seniors have a more vigorous med schedule

iOS 7 update broken. Won't even open.

Doesn't sync between devices. pretty simple touse but won't sync between my iPhone and my iPod touch. That is frustrating!

Love it!. Easy to use. Love reminders. Works great on both iPad and iPhone.

A great app. This app is so easy to use. It is exactly what I need to remind me to take different pills that are on different schedules. I like that the image of each pill shows on the screen so you can't get them mixed up.

Very nice!!. It's a nice app, simple not to much to figure it out. I'm definitely one of those people that go by visual appearance of my meds. I can say what they are for by looking put I don't know there names. So I have everything entered I just have enter their names in later and a couple of photos. To me it seems a little large, it would be nice to enter total amount of the bottle and then it could remind me to refill.

Worth the cost. If you take a lot of meds or vitamins this app is great! You can put in multiple pills, add reminder times, keep notes on how they make you feel and even have a picture and dosage info easily at hand. You can add multiple users which is great if for example you take care of an elderly parent and need a reminder each time of day they need to take a certain medication. The only thing I don't think it does is have a reminder feature when it's time to refill a prescription. Everything works great however the more info you add the slower the app works and crashes a lot but I only noticed this when entering new information.

One of the best apps I use every day!. This is an uncomplicated app for people with complicated medication schedule. I've tried other apps. Some are more feature rich , but this one is the most functional and allows people who take multiple medications to manage their meds and reminders with a minimum of hassle . Worth every cent! Though I recommend a backup app in case there's an update that temporarily makes the app unusable . When they updated to iOS 7 they had a bug that made the app crash on start for a great many people. I was glad to have my meds listed in another app, but it was fixed within 4 or 5 days ( THANK YOU for answering emails and being so quickly responsive !) which is record time , and it's working great now !

Nicely designed. This app is really simple and straightforward to use. Visually works really well, could use a little more pill colours/types but all in all great in its design. The only drawback I have is I would like some features changed or added for a more accurate and convenient use. - A way to choose 'not taken' on a daily medication to stop the notifier from showing (and approves that you realize you haven't taken it) - I would like to be able to choose to take more than 1 pill on given occasions for my daily medications, ex: took 2 pills on saturday instead of 1 without permanently changing the dosage - The ability to take non-daily meds and add to the list of take that day. (also with the ability to take more than one of those) I would like to keep an accurate record of my medication dosages and history. (Also, I haven't been able to find this I the iPad version but a mood tracker would also be really useful!)

Awesome. But currently broken if you take pills at night.. Been using this since it came out. Really solid, reliable app. Recently it has had some issues with tracking meds I take at night. When I check the next day it shows that I forgot to take the pill the day before.. Hope it's patched soon.

Very handy app!. This app does exactly what it says and does it well.

Trying to see if it will work for me. Just downloaded and realized it is all time (clocked) based and I do not take any of my meds that way. So going to play with it and see if I can make it work for me. I take my pills based on when I wake up. Then after my first pill I take them based on when they are due. Example: one pill I would take when I wake up at 8am, then I take them every four hours until I go to sleep. Some days I might be ill and not wake up until 10am. In that case I take them four fours until I go to bed. Every day is different. The important part is not the time I take them, but the spacing. There is no place to enter the spacing. We will see.

UPDATED: for all that have had issues after the update. This app after the most recent update was ridiculous; the snooze features didn't work and it wouldn't recognize that I had taken my meds. It was totally useless...and annoying. I e-mailed pillboxie and was told to restart my device, which should fix the problem (I appreciate the fact that he got back to me so quickly). I did that today and, so far, it seems like it has fixed the issue. If it truly is fixed, the app is amazing - significantly better than all of the other medication reminder apps. It's easy to use, the interface is great, and I like the calming reminder tones. The only thing I think is weird is that you have to turn on the nagging reminders in order to use the snooze feature. I personally don't mind this, but it would be helpful if you could use the snooze feature alone. (Though you can set the snooze time to what you'd like, which is nice.) So all-in-all, I'd definitely recommend it.

The perfect pill app!. I am not good with taking pills, even if it's just 1 once a day. So when my doctor prescribed 6 different meds, all with different time schedules I was determined to find an app to help out. I think the problem with most med apps is they try to get to complicated. This one works perfectly and is very simple. I haven't missed one dose! The only suggestion I have, if possible is to have the alarm sound when the phone is on silent (similar to the clock alarm). I keep my phone on silent while at work. Thank you or creating this app. It has been a huge help!! :)

I LOVE Pillboxie!!!!!. I have a lot of trouble remembering to take my meds on time, and whether or not I actually took them. This app keeps me on track with the alarms and ability to check them off. I also have my husband and kids' meds in there by listing as "Sally- concerta" or whatever. My only suggestion is to make it possible to create separate identities instead of listing everybody in one profile. This app is one of the group I call "my brain"- along with Cozi and a few others.

Great easy to use pill reminder. Just had a heart attack and this app has made rentry into life much easier with a visually beautiful pill reminder app. Big kudos on the price check app that saved me hundreds of dollars! I like that you can toggle it on/off. Here is my feature list for future versions: - Ability to add dosage info to entry (have to add to details instead of showing up in name). If you add dosage to name: Lipitor 10mg the 10mg disappears when you price check. - Ability to cut pills in 1/2. Many of my pills have a dosage that requires pill cutting. Being able to track dosage of uncut pill and cut pill would be a big help. - Ability to notify others if a dosage is missed. - Ability to sync to iCloud or DropBox. - Ability to let others log into your account and track your meds (checking to see if your parents are taking meds). - Pill Reorder reminder. Being able to tell the app how many pills I have and being able to set a reorder reminder before I run out would be great! Thanks for a great app! Figures a nurse would know best!

Awsome app!. Works just fine on my 1st gen iPad! I put the mgs in the pill title. So far, I like everything about this app. It is visually pleasing, easy to set up meds & schedule, and even like the tune it plays for the reminder. 😃. It is even easy to change the schedule and to remove a pill from the schedule. I guess I have not tried to delete one as I keep it there for history purposes. Great job designing this app! It is just what I have been looking for to help me remember. Just what the doctor ordered. 😉

Needs iCloud Support. This app is excellent, I use it daily and it helps me to not only remember my pills but also to have my information handy when seeing my physician. I can leave all my pills in their own containers without an organizer, because the app tells me when to take my meds and what to take. My only complaint is the lack of iCloud support. I only really need this on my iPhone, but if it could sync with my iPad it would be even better. Also, it might be cool to have a Mac version... But I don't think it would be worth another purchase, since it is far more useful on mobile devices. Support this developer's excellent work and get the best medication management app for iOS!

Great App!! Great Service!!. I have been using this app for quite a few months. It is a stable app, and while there are other apps that do "everything" this one is simple to use, and does what I need it to do...tell me when to take my meds on time. This is pretty critical to me, for if I am late on a few of them, it throws the rest of them off. But this isn't why I'm writing this review. Ever since ios5 came out I haven't been getting the audible reminders. I finally sent an email to the support team, and within 2 hours I got my response: iOS 5 has made changes to the way notifications are presented. You now have many options to configure, which is cool, but it ends up changing some people's defaults when they upgrade to iOS 5. Go to the Settings app for your phone, then "Notifications." Select Pillboxie from the list, and make the changes you need. Please let me know if this doesn't work. And that took care of it...I just got my first reminder!!! With their simple instructions, it took less than 5 minutes to adjust the app to the new ios release!! Thanks Jared!!!!

Best Meds Reminder I've Used. I've tried a lot of different apps for pill reminders/management. Most are clunky, and/or try to do too much so everything ends up mediocre. Not PillBoxie! It's beautifully designed -- simple, clean, with an interface that's easy to understand. And the settings for nagging & snoozing are what sells it for me. It's persistent in ways that actually ensure that I end up taking my meds on time, and being able to snooze it also means I don't have to worry that the one reminder is my only shot (because sometimes I'm not able to get to my meds right that minute, y'know?). Point being, this app is a breath of fresh air.

LOVED UNTIL the update!. I reeeaaally loved this app when first downloaded about 3 months ago. I'm super busy and I take several meds a few times/day and the app (old version) was so perfect. I loved the way it looked and the design was beautifully precise and clear. I clicked "update" a few days ago and now I wish I hadn't. The new "Due Today" face of the app is too categorized and broken up, the snooze button would only be useful to me if I could select a time longer than a few minutes so I can't even use that feature. Say I take a pill 4x/day. I have it set up to take the first dose at 6:00. But if I wake up at 8:00, if I don't start my day at the same time every day then I'm out of luck for notifications and reminders because the whole system is thrown off schedule. Now my only option is to "skip", due later (with no time) and "actual time" taken is just another step that causes me to have to remember more info that the app used to take care of for me. With the old app, all I had to do was NOT check it off until I took it. So if I forgot all I had to do was check the app to see what hadn't been taken yet -- regardless of the time. So absolutely 5 stars BEFORE the update, now I'm hoping that they'll keep a lil more of the old style in the next update. I even would happily pay for the old style! Otherwise, I'm sad to say, it's not very useful for me anymore and I'm looking for yet another app.

Great apps, a few suggestions. This app is great! It could be better, though. I would love for the medication alert to have an adjustable volume setting. It goes off as loud as the ringer setting, slightly frightening in the a.m. hours. The app does not offer an oval shape pill option in the pill shape feature area. It would be nice to see an option for topical medications and multivitamins, since doctors often want to know this information. I love that you can email the medication list to anyone!! Great helper for ER visits. The ability to have more than one patient in the patient list is really cool, but I'd like the see more options with that feature as well. A feature that let's you add doctors or previous surgeries would be nice. Overall, really happy with it. I hope they continue to update.

Visually appealing but needs some tweaks. I have downloaded a LOT of pill apps looking for the best one that fits my needs. This is probably the most visually appealing one. But when I was setting up my pills, I noticed a couple of shortcomings off the bat. First, it appears to assume all meds are daily. I have a pill that is taken weekly but there is no option for that. I can enter the info like the others & just not "schedule" it, but that won't remind me when I need to take it. And presumably people would have a worse time remembering a more infrequent pill than a daily one. I also don't see a history where you can see what pills you took yesterday, let alone a week or a few months ago. I'd also like a place to keep track of an old medication history (even to enter & track meds from before I bought & used the app), but no one seems to have that feature.

Great reminder, nice graphics. I really like this app. For me, it has useful features: - set up alarms for multiple people; this reminds me when it's time for my puppy's heartworm pill every month. - set alarms to either remind you until acknowledged or just once. It nags the crap out of you until you stop it, good for people who need to take meds at a certain time. - multiple alarms each day - mine is set up to remind me three times throughout the day, for different meds each time. I'm sorry others are having trouble with this app, it's always been top notch for me. If you have a technical issue, try emailing the developer (in "settings" under "info & help"), they might not know of the prob but could fix it they seem pretty on top of their game, and I'm sure they'd appreciate knowing their reviews are suffering because of a bug.

Good app for those of us taking multiple meds on a daily schedule.. So far so good and setting reminders are easy. With that said, I hope this is just a start from the developer with many enhancements to come in the future. A preloaded list of major medications would be helpful. I also agree with previous comments that there needs to be more options with describing the bill (shape and color). I would like to see a comprehensive view of the virtual pill box so I can see what pills are already placed in a specific time.

Great for forgetful people like me!. This is a really great app. I used to use the generic alarm on my phone to remind me to take my meds, but it was easy to forget to actually take them. This app kinda holds me accountable in that I actually need to check it off instead of just turning off an alarm. And if your like me, having any notifications drives me nuts lol. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because there needs to be more time in between intervals of reminders and more importantly, there is no way to check off my "as needed" meds I've taken. I take several of these, including a heavy pain pill and inhaler and knowing when I took last would really help!! Otherwise it's a great app. And you can't beat free! I would've paid for it actually lol

Great app!. Works well!

Love the interface. Thank you so much for this app. I like the option of choosing a reminder that plays a little longer, that way, when my head is in the fridge or washer/dryer (not literally!) I can still hear the alarm. That was a big problem with some other remind apps. I love the visual interface and it is super simple to set up. Three suggestions: 1) please add an icon for choosing transdermal patches (these are common for dispensing hormone therapy, pain meds, and such; 2) please add sync ability between devices, sometimes I have my iPad, sometimes my phone; 3) please add a way to either mail or print report for dosage history over a period of time ie a month.

Super helpful, no learning curve. This is a terrific app. Ive used it three days and I'm hooked. Not only can you track medications for more than one person, you can customize the look of each medication so they're harder to mix up. Blue square pill? Green and white capsule? Pink liquid? You're covered. I also love that it's easy to email your medication list, especially helpful when working with doctors and older parents. Not to mention it records exactly when you took a dose, even letting you record (then or later) whether it made you feel better, worse or the same, and any other comments. Spiff. The improvements I'd suggest are minimal. If I'd known how handy this app would be, I wouldn't have hesitated to pay a much higher price for it.

Best med app out there!. Absolutely the best medicine reminder app! Being Bi-polar and ADHD, I've tried other apps, even ones specifically for psych meds. It's aggravating to be reminded abruptly during a social event, then possibly getting stuck explaining what the odd, reminding sound was coming from my phone. Pillboxie is very easy to set up, you can add any notes you want for each med (like dosage or starting date), and the reminders are not pushed on you. You get soothing sounds as reminders and, if you miss a dosage, it just puts a badge on the icon quietly. You don't need to remove a med if you are not currently taking it-just don't put a time. You can even add non-prescription items on your list. A few things I would like to see: -An appearance picture of a tube and a dropper. -A 'pillbox' spot labeled "as needed". Otherwise, it's great and well worth loading on you phone. It's by far one my favorite and most productive apps I have to date.

Great App. Great app but please, please, please, aversion for the Apple Watch!!!

Update. This app needs an update, does not let you add meds or edit.

Great app but misses one feature. First of all this app is great, extremely functional and has an awesome look and feel. However it misses one very important feature, duration, some medications need to be taken daily for 3 days for example, however there are more caplets in the box so if you don't pay attention you might take more medicine than you really need! Just put a duration for those notifications like: daily for 3 days, so after 3 days the program would stop warning you (or you can put quantities like, 10 pills, then after 10 doses it would stop)

A shame!. Miss cloud sync between devices. a shame! so it is very limited.

very good. This is a very good app.

What is the point? I already have a pillbox.. This application has nice graphics and all. But that's it. It functions just like a pill box and I already have one of those. I want this to do more. For example, I take many pain pills as needed - say every four hours. If I miss a pill by one hour, the next pill does not automatically move to one hour later - I have to do that myself. And then on down the line which is not at all helpful. The current "as needed" function does not automatically create a schedule and is happy to allow me to take it before I'm supposed to. At least PillAlert allows me to automatically schedule and miss pills, then recalculates when I'm supposed to take the next one (even though its full of shortcomings, too).

Beautiful and fun. I didn't think I was "eligible", but it turns out I take just enough and forget just enough that this app has improved my life. How's that for a buck? When my doc added a prescription I figured I should get something to help me keep track. I love that you can pick the shape and color of the pills to within a close approximation of your own tablet. The opening and closing of the pillbox is a perfect polish. I love everything about this app and it is well worth the price. I haven't had the need to use the multiple patient list, but it will come in handy the next time my kids have a cold or infection! My only suggestion is a way to put in a time limit or more advanced scheduling. (such as for slowly increasing or decreasing doses or a temporary regimen) Not at the cost of the app's current simplicity though!

A godsend for my parents. My parents have some complicated pill schedules to stay on top of. I looked at a variety of medication reminder apps, and Pillboxie's intuitive, image-driven interface seemed the best way to keep them on schedule if they needed to add a new medication or make a change. My Mom has commented several times about how much easier this app has made their lives and how it removes some of her constant concern they missed a medication. Their customer service was also great - I sent them an e-mail with a question and they quickly responded. A minor improvement I'd like to see (which is why I e-mailed them) that may not impact all users - Pillboxie is designed to keep track of the medication schedules for multiple people. To create a schedule for a person, you need to program all their medications using the image-driven interface. These medications then fill the medicine cabinet for each individual user. If your users share medications, e.g., aspirin or Coumadin, you must re-program these medications for each person's personal medicine cabinet. This can be a bit tedious, especially for older folks. So my suggestion would be to have the capability to share medications between personal medicine cabinets and eliminate the programming redundancy. But this is a minor quibble that should not discourage people from getting the program and it probably isn't an issue for many. So despite this minor issue, I give Pillboxie a 5-star rating.

Love this app!. This app make my life so much easier! I have been using this app daily for months now. All alarms have worked like a charm for me. I have it installed on my iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. I have never had a crashing problem. Perfect for keeping up with all of my family members' medications, including my dog, as well as any side effects. All records can easily be emailed for any record keeping. I can't imagine any app being handier for keeping up with meds and the beautiful graphics are just icing on the cake! Keep up the great work.

Great app. First off, hands down to the wonderful UI that makes popping pills all the more refreshing. Lots of customization on medication looks ... Several small things: (1) for some reason, the third pill bottle glitches on several occasions, once not displaying the name and schedule, and secondly when dislocating it in the center of the bottle (it would be nice to keep consistency between where the title is presented just for aesthetics' sake). After shifting the pills one over, the issue corrected. (2) it would be nice to be able to drag-and-drop the medications around within the medications tab and/or to be able to catalog them within organ systems and types (a user defined tag would work splendidly). (3) I would like to be able to insert labels, barcodes or any relevant picture into the notes section (nobody wants to go through the hassle or reentering data that can be more conveniently attained). (4) finally, on a liter note, the due today is nicely color coordinated between what has been done, what needs to be done, and what will be done; but it lacks the ability to carry over any missed medications from the day before. It starts anew the next day, problem is, our health doesn't work that way - tabula rasa and all. Wish it did. In all a frat package that supersedes the competition, free or otherwise.

It needs many updates.. I was excited to buy this and still feel it was well worth the purchase. However, there are updates that could help. First, as everyone else has mentioned, sync to iCloud. Second, a major for myself, I need to be able to record when I've taken a medication I only take "as needed". When my doctor asks when the last time I took pepto bismol or Tylenol or other things, I need to be able to look back and see when I took it. If this improvement is added, I will definitely change this to five stars. It is a very nice app just the fact that I can't record when I took an 'as needed' medication makes things very difficult for me as I can't find a turnaround.

PILLBOXIE. What a great app.....so simple and straight-forward.....don't know what I'd do without it! I used to keep track of my round-the-clock MEDS in my Reminders app, but it was so much more tedious and not nearly as clear as with Pillboxie. Also, with Pillboxie keeping track of my meds exclusively, it frees up my Reminders for other items, and gives special attention to the meds alert. The visuals in Pillboxie are so helpful in preventing mistakes, and the placing of the MEDS in a virtual dispenser, make the setup so quick and easy.....and easy to change too. It's great for regimens which might change daily, or which have an infrequent timetable, such as once-a-week or once-a-month. Pillboxie allows for all these idiosyncrasies. The alerts are 100% reliable and there is a pleasing variety of unique alarm tone and lengths to choose from. I am so glad that I found Pillboxie....it has been such a help in my daily life, and I recommend it to anyone who needs to keep track of a complicated or varying MEDS schedule. GINI L.

A great help for years. Even when it didn't seem to update for a while, Pillboxie has been a great help in managing my daily medication. I think I would have missed more than 0% of my daily doses over a period of years without it. The ability to use different pill icons for each medication makes it easy to fill your weekly pill box, and the notifications never miss. The nagging notification option is good for enforcing new dose times as well. Thank you, Jared Sinclair, for this app.

Keeps me on top of my meds. This app is wonderful for those who have to remember to take multiple meds or even one med throughout the day. Let's say, it has given me back control of my life. When you are in the middle of a project you just can't put down the nagging reminder will continue until you turn it off. I never turn it off until I take my meds. Discovered that when I get to the view prescription page, if I close my iPad and open it, I can click off that segment of meds without having to click the nagging reminder several times before it will release the page to me. I like the report I can email to myself to print out for my doctor's visit. I have had the opportunity to share this app with healthcare providers when it goes off during the visit. The interest has been great as I explain how the app works. Some say they plan to share this with their patients. Good work and thank you. Now one request: I have one med that I have to enter twice because the dosage is not the same everyday. Can the "how it is taken" be expanded so you have the option select more than one dosage and when taken for a med?

Great App with just 2 suggestions!. I have tried numerous apps and this one is definitely the easiest to use. I love the sound reminders. It's great for teens too. I have a teen that takes medication several times a day and also wakes during the night for medication. He likes the sounds/tunes better than just some beeping. I have two suggestions. First it would be nice to make a differentiation between the days of the week or at least between weekdays and weekends. His medication schedule revolves around the time that he physically gets up every morning and the weekends are different than the weekdays. Second, please allow time options for the snooze feature. I need the snooze for my son but there is no option as for how long or how many times to snooze. Still a great app!

Great app. Extremely useful.. I am a Pillboxie user and think it's a great app, functional and ascetically pleasing. I have one suggestion that would improve the app for me and probably countless others who enjoy Pillboxie everyday. I would like to see you add the "Transdermal Patch" or just "Patch" to the list of medication formats. I personally wear a medication patch and must change it every 36 hours. Although I have successfully added Fentanyl to my list of medications, it appears as a pill bottle. This may be insignificant to some, but for those of us who use transdermal medications like Duragesic or Nicorderm, having it show in the app's medicine cabinet in the proper form would make the UI even more realistic.

Awesome. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate this app. I have a hard time remembering to take my numerous medicines (one of which is for depression which doesn't help) and this app is a lifesaver. It is beautifully designed too. I don't usually review apps, but I highly recommend this one. Suggestion for an update would be to be able to have a calendar view so you can see how well you have managed to take your medicine throughout the week. That would really put it over the top. Update: Oh my gosh I think I'm in love. This new version is above and beyond anything I could have hoped. You really outdid yourselves. I honestly can't believe this app is still free. My brother couldn't figure out why I was squealing over an update for a medicine app. xD

One of the Best Apps in the App Store, Period. 💊. I REALLY wish I would have purchased this app months ago when I bought my iPad; it has made my life much easier. I no longer have to remember what pill to take when...it is now all done for me. This app has some incredible features I wish the developers would highlight more clearly. The best is when you click on a medication, you have the option to print/email your entire usage history, which is incredibly convenient for doctor appointments. Now I can show my doctor the actual times and doses of my medications in relation to the scheduled time/dosage. This information is important for chronic pain management. Other useful features include the requirement of a password for privacy, the ability to quickly mark down whether you felt better, worse, or the same after taking a medication, and of course the visual and audible reminders when it is time to take your medication. There is also a section for comments for every time you have to take a dose, which is also useful. I think this app is pretty much flawless. The user interface is gorgeous and intuitive. One small complaint is that I have a medication that is not scheduled, but taken as needed, and I don't know how to keep a record of that particular pill's usage. I don't know if it is not possible, or if I just can't figure it out. Either way, I wish all apps in the App Store were as well thought out and executed as this one.

Great app, they should do a to do app. This app is great for some one like me who will forget to take any medication or even vitamin. I only need it honestly for one pill I take everyday (just a probiotic), but the nagging reminders is awesome cause with any other to-do kinda thing it would remind me, I'd be like oh yeah, and then forget again. And I use it if my pets need meds (I'm really bad about forgetting meds for me or my pets once the "novelty" has worn off. Once it's something that is everyday, for whatever reason I start forgetting). This way I have to keep telling it to snooze until I remember. And it is neat that it remembers when you finally marked it as done. For me not so important but I could see how this could be very important for other meds. I wish the person would do a to-do app as well cause the nagging reminders (or at least a way to have a snooze button) is a great idea for a to-do app that for some reason no one else has implemented. For those to-do's you must do but may not be able to do right when it reminds you.

great app. I downloaded to help my wife keep track of all her kidney transplant medicines. I think the graphical interace is very nicely done and easy to use. Here are a few suggestions to make this great app even better: 1) allow more reminder sounds. When the phone is in my wife's purse we can miss hearing the reminder. It would be nice also if the volume could be set independent of the system volume. 2) have a function to display a list of all the medicines in a prescription list format. This would be helpful in reviewing the current dosage with the medical staff and also an easy way to make sure everything is entered. It would be great if this could be sent to other apps or printed out. 3) minor suggestion: add graphic for gel capsule. All that said, this is a killer app and we really appreciate it!! Jim

My new brain …. Since my old one couldn't seem to remember when to take even ONE pill on a regular schedule, when I was suddenly confronted with the prospect of TWO medications with completely different schedules, I knew I was in trouble. Enter 'Pillboxie'! Just program your pill schedule and the reminders alert you when it's 'pill-time'. No more skipped dosages. It's never failed in the four weeks I've been using it. The interface is well thought out and intuitive. There are other similar Apps available, and I tried many of them with simultaneous testing - one by one I eliminated all but Pillboxie.

Love this app!. This app Is great for reminding me to take my meds. It is easy to use and effective. I love the pleasant and unique reminder tones. The new update is great. There is already a fix for the non-stop reminder bug. My only beef is that there does not seem to be a way to change the snooze time to longer than 5 min. When that is changed this app gets five stars. Update: wow, that was fast. You can now adjust the snooze time, and also turn on and off a "nag" feature that beeps every minute until you either snooze or check off an alert.

Great app, highly recommend to everyone. This app is the best app (and method) so far I've found to help me keep track of my medicine. It's easy to use and the reminder sounds are easy on my ears, and will wake me up in case I'm asleep. The 'nagging' feature is great too as well as the snooze so I can't brush of a one-time reminder with other regular alarms. It would be great for a feature so the alarm still sounds while the phone is on vibrate. Otherwise, there's no complaints from me at all and I recommend this to any prospective downloaders.

The Best Pill Reminder App !. URGENT UPDATE: Does not work with iOS 9. I have used it for 2 years and relied on it every day and the app never let me down. Now I have lost all my information. Please update so I can get back on track ! I have been using Pillboxie for over a year and have neve rmissed a reminder alert/sound. It is easy to set up and use. Pill identification could use a little work but all in all it is a great app and I take 9 different meds at various times per day and each scheduled reminder has never failed to sound. Once again, GREAT APP !

What a useful app!!. Thank you so much for this app, it is simple but oh so effective! I tried others that would do all sorts of things, such as tell you when you need to refill. But they always crashed on me and I would lose my information. No one likes to have to re-enter everything all the time. This is definitely a five star app! My only requests, if you update this is, to be able to show that only a half of a pill is needed. Once again, thank you!

Love this app!!! (1 feature request). Thank you for making this app! It is beautiful, easy to use, and very informative! And the nag option is just brilliant! My only feature request is a running total of each medicine taken (doses prescribed vs entire units). I have found the email option and it does show the total number of doses taken / missed / etc. but it would be perfect with a little more detail. A "summary" of some sort would be perfect. I use inhalers with 60 and 200 puffs per inhaler and it would really help to have a running total of how many times I have used each so I could plan new purchases accordingly. But it would need to detail doses and units (one dose in my example = 2 puffs) so my running total after a couple of days would be 4 prescribed doses = 8 units (puffs). From there a "doses left" calculation would be a snap! Thanks again for a great app!

Wonderful!. There is one feature that would improve this app: a history showing any missed or additional doses. This useful app has a terrific interface. It much easier for me to track my once daily and twice daily meds as well as those with and without food. I believe I am more meds-compliant now that I have an easy way to track what I've taken and want I still need to take. Would recommend for anyone taking more than one RX or one OTC meds at a certain age, we become forgetful'

A Helpful "Nag!". Pillboxie is already a great app, and the support is quick and helpful. The app allows for quite a bit of variation in its settings, and if updates address some of the suggestions that are being made it will become even more useful. Quite a few people have mentioned their desire to have a backup, because it would be tedious if you have to reenter all of your medications and their schedules. I’m using the iPad version of Pillboxie and I’ve taken screenshots of all of my meds at different scroll positions with hopes that it will make it easier if I ever need to reenter anything. I can either put them up on my TV screen with airplay mirroring, or I could mail them to myself and view them on my iMac screen as I enter the data.

Almost Great. Excellent! Improvements needed: 1) Add injections and suppositories. 2) Add fraction of pill as possibility. 3) Add intervals in month not yet available (twice per month on Wednesdays, for example) and decreasing/increasing doses option (such as when taking decreasing levels of a med over a week's time). Then this app would be even more excellent than it already is!!! Highly recommend this App! I add other family members by putting their initial(s) in front of the medicine's name. That way everything is in one place.

Great Apps. This has kept me on track on taking my meds. I don't have any of the problems people list. I would like to turn on the reminder alert but will not have it going off every minute. Also when I forget to mark off the last meds at night I seem to always have to go to the older list which is a nice addition but it takes a long time to respond after you click off the med for it to check it off. It would also be nice to sync to devices. I have both phone and iPad and I use my phone for this but many times in was on my iPad and wished I could just tick off that I took it. Please add sync between devices. Also pill shapes and colors are very limited. Also since I am adding on to this review the response time when you need to hit older is getting worse and I did write to them about it. Even the load time just to open now is getting really slow. After several months of using it I downloaded a different one. It responds fast and another thing I ran into with Pillboxie is even when I checked meds off as taken later it would show them as not taken. This was a good app and I hope some one eventually will take care of the problems. I would come back then.
