Great App. Hi I’ve been using Meitu for a few years now and I love it ! The only app I use for all my editing needs I never had a problem using this app. There’s nothing bad I can really say. In the last two days I have ran into a issue that I’m having problems undoing. My language setting seem to have changed on my from English to I believe a Chinese or Japanese language. I’ll take full blame on that. I must of left the app open and it must of been pushing buttons while I’m my pocket. Now since everything is in a different language I can’t figure out how to put it back in English mode 😒 Can’t Someone please help? I don’t want to have to delete the app and redownload since I have a few unfinished projects that I don’t wanna lose and have to redo all over again

Best Photo Editing App 👍. This app has several stickers and text features that are cute and free to incorporate in your photos. It is definitely a must have app and is probably the best that I’ve used so far. Overall it is easy to manage and there are so much you can do to edit your photos without having a premium account. There doesn’t seem to be anything and if so, only minor, that should bring the rating down. *will update soon..

Is There a Bug?. I love this app so much. The app provides a wide range of options to change up your pictures and the background changing feature is amazing as well. The only issue is that for the last few weeks the stickers haven’t been unlocking. The stickers will load and then stop. I don’t mind watching an ad to get the stickers but the ad won’t pop up at all. I’d love to use the new sticker collections but I can’t access them. Is there an update I’m missing, I’m using an iPhone 8?

Why? i’ll explain.. Honestly not gonna lie Meitu is a really good editing app it fixes your quality and your sharpen and so much more the main reason I have Meitu is that it could get me quality on my videos but while I press the HD quality button sometimes it slows down and it just pauses and then it says failed to fix image quality I think. It’s ok, sometimes I can do that but yesterday I tried fixing a video you know for the quality and just stopped it was on 15 and then went to 20, then it just paused and stopped and it said “failed to fix image quality.” so to be honest Meitu is it really good fixing up but I feel like you would need to update and change some of these errors.

🍓💖🍓💖. This app is awesome🤩 and great 👍for thumbnails. There are also pretty filters and stickers you can add to your pictures and face😊🦸🏻‍♀️But Mostly what I like is that you can collage phots for me that is super Helpful Also, I love💖 the fact that you can customize your own stickers from your photos📱🎥. And As I said I love using this for thumbnails cause there creative fonts but also because there is no watermark. But the big thing is That this app Is FREE! You can get everything without paying! 💎💶

Honest review. Meitu is honestly the best app of editing,and unlike other apps it's actually real looking .I don't understand why people would talk about "oh it's so bad u need to pay for it"well no actually there is a lot of free stuff and also adds, just say no adds no meitu (or pay).if ur looking for a app that could change how you look without looking like you drew on your self on your phone then I suggest meitu.

Wide Array of Editing Options. I love this app. It has many unique and useful filters, as well as frames and effects. I especially love the frames since there are many to choose from and most of which are simple, and not too flashy or child-like. The only problem I have with this app is the quality of text. After adding some text to your edit, the quality of the letters are quite bad and it becomes blurry. This is probably the only app I know that has options for different styles of kanji or other Japanese written dialect, but the quality of it becomes degraded after adding it.

i absolutely love this app.. i know i know. reading a review on apps have a high likelihood that they will be bots or fake for one reason or another. i think everyone should take what i say with a grain of salt, because this app can have a great impact with body dysmorphia and should be avoided if you're someone who has issues with that. i fell in love with this app though. although there is a paid feature, you can still get a LOT out of it without having to pay. and even then, there is a free trial. be warned that once you see what you're missing it is IMPOSSIBLE to go back lol. i absolutely love the AI features. from the AI art to the smart board to the creativity section, they are so useful for much more than just selfies. i can make art. THE ERASE FEATURE IS GOATED!!! and i love all the options for makeup to filters and even the quality HD enhancer for your images. honestly i can't recommend this app enough. it's fantastic.

VIP. This app is an incredible photo and video editing platform. Its president to always deliver proper results is unheard of in this time. I’ve applied myself in this application and invested into the VIP membership of this application. Yet I’m now backlashed by its failure to make the features properly exclusive and accessible. I attempted to use to the image quality enhancer portion of the application like I’ve done a thousand times and it had said “no free uses. Try again next month”. Last I remember, I spent $34 on the yearly membership for the exclusive accessibility of the image quality repair feature. Yet it’s a spit in the face to phrase it as a free use. I will say this as simply as I can. The image quality repair feature is exclusive byproduct to the benefits of the VIP membership. I don’t appreciate my inaccessibility to the feature with holding the VIP membership. The app has done nothing but give me positive results. Though this is a deal breaker for me. 2 stars.

I usually really like this app but its been acting really weird lately.. Ok so I use it to edit videos and it’s usually fine but it hasn’t been letting me put in the clips. I try to put in a super short video and then it gives me a warning in a language I can’t read and the video doesn’t go into the thing. It’s like it’s trying to tell me that it’s too long of a video even if it’s like 15 seconds. Also, the other day when I tried to click on a draft of a video, it said that the draft had been damaged (a picture or video had been deleted) when it hasn’t, none of the videos were deleted. So I lost all my hard work for no reason. And even if something was deleted, you should still be able to click on it because you work so hard on something then one thing is deleted and you have to start all over. Also, it says that I have a lot of stuff downloaded but when I click to see what’s downloaded there is nothing there. It’s taking up all my storage yet there is nothing to delete. Usually I don’t have a hard time with this other than the lagging and the only being able to use a transition every other clip, but it’s fine. Also a suggestion would be to have a bar (like with the filters and transitions) to adjust the intensity of the affects. :)

Extremely Good!!!. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting this app to be so good, but it really serves QUALITY. My pictures have never looked so good!! The video editor on the app is also AMAZING! The transitions are professional and smooth, there’s cute stickers, filters, frames, you name it!! And the most shocking part about this app is you can use almost every amazing thing for FREE! What????? I’ll admit it’s kinda dramatic hyping over an editing app, but I’m not kidding when I say this is the only app I will ever use in my life. It has EVERYTHING. Download it!! It will save you money and time!

Love this app but.... I love this app but I think they forgot that black people and other people of color use it as the new Artbot completely changed my ethnicity! As I was trying some of the new features I noticed that I couldn’t change my ethnicity back to black on the Artbot... White/EastAsian/pale is the only color represented when my photo is processed. The changes to my photo made me an unrecognizable pale skinned girl.(no offense to pale people I just want to recognize myself in my own photo. 😓) You wouldn’t notice this flaw in the mode if you aren’t dark but it is very upsetting. Also the new Anime Avatar although featuring different ethnicity's...btw thank goodness... it doesn’t allow you to change the hair color. Its black hair or nothing which is a problem because my hair is ash blonde so having an Avatar with no hair color selection is pretty frustrating. All in all I love this app and will keep using its core features that represent me in a way that I'm pleased with but I hope you will be better with representation in the future.

I’m not sure... So basically I wanted to make a edit, but I wanted good quality, obviously I downloaded it from a tutor video and I used the HD quality thing and finished my edit. After like 4months or something like that I deleted the app cause it took up my storage you know? Normal stuff, a few more months later I’m watching some videos and then a video pops up saying “DELETE MEITU NOW! ITS AN DANGEROUS APP THAT TRACKS YOUP” or somewhat like that. I didn’t know if I should believe that or not because the video was just recent. I’m not sure if it tracks you or not but I have looked at it more and someone saved it happened in 2017 but meitu removed it. Please tell me wether or not it’s true. Thank you!

Something needs fixing. I use this app a lot and I’ve come to find that the video editor is even better than the photo editing, however there are some major flaws. For one, when you select a clip to edit there is a large window of time where the app is unresponsive. No matter what you tap nothing happens until a while later where it becomes responsive again. But even worse than that, the app keeps crashing when I try to edit something. It crashes without any warning at all and losing all of the work you’ve been doing for up to 30 minutes can be devastating. It has made me unable to edit videos on here anymore. Please fix the delay and more importantly the crashing issue.

This is the most amazing app ever!. When I first downloaded it, I thought that it would be a bad quality app. Only to then discover how wrong I was! This app is amazing 🙌! Zero in-app purchases- completely free! It has a bunch of new features every so often according to the season or even holiday. It has editing filters, mosaics (backdrops), and beautifying features as well. With the manual and automatic option! Currently, my favorite feature is a feature that sketches your photo! In conclusion, this app is amazing and I highly recommend it!

Best app ever + suggestions!!!. This is by far the easiest editing app ever!!! All the other ones I tried required a subscription for everything. I love this app and use it all the time. I have a suggestion though.... SOUND EFFECTS pleaseeeee. Sound effects would be amazing!! I love this app especially after your most recent update. But please consider sound effects. I can’t afford to buy things online plus I’m not allowed so if u could just add some classic sounds it would be great!!! Thanks so much to the creators!! This app makes my life so much easier! This app it’s so good and amazing. I love this app so much ,it’s my favorite app ever . I use it every single time when I post on Instagram account . It’s free app , you don’t have to purchased the app , just simply used the app . There has so many cute affect for the video or photo editing that I love it so much . Make your edit looks wonderful and beautiful. Another thing I like it so much that I can add any music for free for my video editing without has to purchase music like the other apps has to purchased music from iTunes , but after spent money sometimes got blocked because of the copyright. Meitu didn’t need to purchased the music , it’s all free .. it’s huge deal 👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️. I love it .. Highly recommended to use this app .

Video Quality Restore. Long story short, I edit videos but need the quality improved with every single one, so I downloaded Meitu. It worked great, was simple to use, but one day it randomly told me that all of my “freebies” had been used with the image quality repair feature while I was editing a video. I don’t have the premium version, but I was using the app after seven days (which is when you can start the free trial) and didn’t really have an issue, so of course I assumed it was a free feature then one random day, boom, no more image quality repair cause “freebies” were used. I can only improve the quality of one video a day and it’s a little inconvenient, but isn’t TERRIBLE. I just wish I had some sort of heads up before that happened. Two recommendations to the developers if the features don’t already exist (haven’t updated the app yet); 1. Make an easy way for us to keep up with our “freebies.” Allow us to see how many we have left and how much time we have until they’re restored. 2. Alternatively, if it can be afforded, make people watch unskippable ads for more access to certain features (image quality restoration for videos and photos for example). Personally, I’d rather watch a 15-30 second ad than wait for an undetermined amount of time to improve the quality of my photos or videos. To people scrolling through reviews; it’s not bad but you may wanna read some of the terms and conditions for any information that you miss.

Why is it not full screen? The rest is perfect!!!. Why is it not full screen? I can see those words and pictures but what if someone else can't see well and don’t have glasses? It’s not like they have a 🔍 around their house! But most people that can’t see they have glasses. THE REST ARE THE BEST PART EVER!!!!!!!!!! I can edit selfies and add stickers I mean who don’t like stickers? And chop the parts I don’t like or have on my photos and i can add frames 🖼 to my picture I ENJOY THIS APP SO MUCH I CAN’T STOP USING IT I MUST GIVE IT A FIVE ⭐️ ITS THE BEST APP EVER!!!

I loved the older version. I pay for the yearly membership and I loved the older version for the AI generation with multiple styles. I like the new feature of the prompt writer. My biggest complaint is the app makes it difficult to find the AI style you want as you cannot favorite it, so I have to scroll down a lot. I also think a lot of the AI filters look the same or aren’t good enough. It should be narrowed down for with a better AI filter selection. I want to keep my membership but I may not pay anymore if it doesn’t change or improve. Please add in a favorite tool and enhance the AI filters.

BEST APP EVER IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT GETTING THIS DO IT!!. I use this app everyday, I can’t believe it is free!! You would think something this amazing and useful and awesome would cost something!! I highly recommend this!! I would say something that they need to improve, but I can’t think of anything! It has filters even better than Snapchat, you can edit anything out of the picture, it has makeup, you name it! I absolutely LOVE THIS APP!! I wouldn’t be surprised if someday this app grows a lot of popularity, and it starts costing something, it’s that good.

I like it but. I hope that you guys can roll out an update for the newer iPhones. Just got an iPhone 11 pro and the camera makes me look orange once I take the picture. Also will you guys add a feature to toggle between the normal and wide lens camera? That would be great :-) Edit: I think you guys did great getting rid of the orange tint but now when I take a selfie it comes out slightly darker than when I am viewing myself- is there a way for the selfie to come out exactly as I am seeing it? I love this app and want to continue using it!

New Subscription Thingy. Honestly, I'm not really sure why they decided to charge $5 a week instead of following the more convenient pricing model of VideoStar, which offers the same features for just $5 a month. It seems a bit puzzling, as users typically prefer a monthly subscription that provides them with a longer period of access at a lower cost. Perhaps there are some additional perks or exclusive content that justifies the higher weekly price, but from a user's standpoint, it may not be as convenient or budget-friendly. It would be great if they could consider offering more flexible and affordable options to cater to a wider range of users.

The ONLY app I use for editing. There’s so many features but I personally like to keep it simple for my lash business, this is what I use to edit my clients while keeping their skin flawless but still realistic! Gone are the days I used Facetune sand it over blurred my client’s face making it look weird. I absolutely love how it keeps everything high quality as well and I’m able to add my own watermark. The subscription is DEFF worth a million times. You get a clean crisp video and it all your work is also saved to drafts in case something happens. I usually use this app to edit my reels of my client’s lashes and I can post the video to Instagram, tiktok, and Facebook easily!!

Video editing bug: audio does not match video. Update: problem solved after the last update. I love Meitu and use it literally everyday, especially since my baby was born. Starting November I noticed this bug in video editing, that the video will randomly speed up and does not match the audio. When I save it to the album, it’s different than what I see in the app, but still- video and audio don’t match. I see the same bug on my husband’s phone. Please fix this asap!

Powerful and easy to use editing tool. This app is amazing for editing your selfies, especially for a free app. The dark circle tool can lighten up unwanted shadows, not just under-eye circles. (The highlight tool in comparison is pretty useless.) The reshape tool, which changes the size and shape of individual features, looks subtle and natural if you don’t drag the slider too far. The slimming tool can drag parts of the image around to, say, make your face look longer or shorter. However I’d say the lighting filters aren’t as good as B612’s, so I like to take the selfie in B612 first and then edit it in Meitu. Editing your selfies might seem dishonest, but the front camera distorts your face and lighting a bit and you can use Meitu to bring it back to what you see in the mirror. Make sure before editing your photos, to change the output to the highest quality.

It stopped working. I rly like this app but it stopped working when I tried to increase my video quality. It was rly slow but i had my wifi and celluar data. It went up to 20 percent fixed but it became 10 percent again. I tried it with other devices and the reults were same. I wonder if this would be the same with other people please check your app and improve it🥲

Features used to be FREE. With every update features that were previously free become locked behind a PAYWALL. Every update seems to put more features behind a paywall for be WARNED before updating this app. HD enhancement for photos and videos USED TO BE FREE are now limited to 5 or 20 attempts to enhance your media. After that it’s locked behind a PAYWALL. Also every update seems to make this app seems to break it more, introducing more BUGS and more AD loading screens. The video editing portion has a bug that removes all of your edits and cuts when you hit the “retouch” option. It returns the video to its original state. Removing all of your work. This used to be a great 5/5 app that I even ignored that it had ads after finishing a project. Now it’s suffering the fate of all apps wants to paywall features that USED TO BE FREE. ANOTHER THING!! when editing a video is says I have INSUFFICIENT STORAGE when I have over 30Gigs of free space!!

Never going to use this app again. I can give you the rate that you want. However that will be all that I can give to you. I will never use any apps from your company again since you have horrible company culture. You agreed to the group of people who gains joys from bullying others online and never said sorry for the one that got deeply hurt by this behavior. Your performance made me feel so uncomfortable and sad. I have uninstalled the app that I have used from the first year that this app was developed.

Do BETTER!. I’ve been using Meitu for years and it’s definitely my favorite go to editing app but the discrimination is crazy. The new AI photo generator works terribly for dark skin people with curly or coily hair!! It either doesn’t recognize them at all or when it does it turns their hair into objects like tree and weird things or it magically turns them white….. but when you do it with white people’s picture it works perfectly…. It’s 2023 Do BETTER!

Fantastic. I don’t usually bother to write reviews for apps, but this one is top notch and you need to download it NOW. You get a ton of awesome tools for free, way more than most photo editors. The amount of options for frames is mindblowing. It’s by far my favorite photo editing app and I find myself using it frequently. I recently used it to decorate photos I took of my brother’s cats, which I had printed and gave to him and his fiancée for his birthday. They loved them. My sole complaint is that it has a surprisingly limited sticker selection.

limited freebies are unnecessary. This app is my go to editing app and it was so ideal, but now I can’t edit and post so frequently because my “freebies” are restricting me. I like to post my videos in full quality and now I have to wait a couple hours before adjusting my video quality, because it wants me to pay money literally for the quality. Why did you guys change your app? Especially one of the best features that a lot of editors love to use to put out the best videos. Please make them unlimited again… I really love this app. I quit all the other editing apps for this one and I really want the old Meitu back :(

Weird experience. It’s honestly very good and I have had it for like 3 months but just now when I went to remove a watermark on a video it crashed and turned the video all black and made a weird noise and wouldn’t remove the watermark. I don’t really know what happened but it scared me and it glitched out my phone. I did try to close everything and turn off my phone for a second but it still happened again. But it was just a personal experience for me but overall it’s a good app.

It’s a great app!. A great app, I mostly use it for its AI art feature, just to experiment, but I have used it for many other things and had a great result. I’ve used it for almost all my editing needs and I love the filters! I only have one problem with the ai feature. I don’t quite like how it turns most characters you put in, into a lighter skin color than before. I could draw something and put it in the ai art thing, it would make it look great but… Make the skin color lighter. I just wanted to put that out there but overall it is a great app that is very useful!

I usually only leave bad reviews but. This app absolutely blows my mind with the artificial intelligence computer generated imagery. Obviously since this feature is beta, it doesn’t always create images perfectly, but the images it creates are amazing. i’ve had it perfectly nail a couple images, and they were breathtaking, digital re-creations. I cannot wait to see how this app improves over time, because it’s already one of the best pieces of technology I’ve ever used.

Can not remove it from iPhone. This app has been used most frequently in my iPhone. To save some room of the phone in the eve of Christmas for photos while I was in a church, I tried to remove it from my phone temporarily. I thought I could reload it to the phone once I got home and release some space from the phone after uploading pictures. However, when I tried to download the app in Apple store, the status of the app showed “open”, and nothing happened when I clicked the “open” sign. I noticed that there was “MTXX” listed as an app in the setting of the phone. I tried to delete the app from the setting so that I could reload it to my phone, it disappeared but showed up in second. What can I do? It’s so frustrating. I like the app so much but now I can not make it work for me!

Paid subscription stopped working. I paid for an annual membership on Jan 7, 2021, it’s supposed to be good till Jan 7, 2022. I used it a couple of times earlier in the year, but have not been able to use any of the VIP filters since before Thanksgiving. Before emailing support, I tried shutting down the app and restarting. I was logged into my account on the app and still had to suffer through a ton of adds even using the non VIP frames. Tried emailing support and never heard back. Tried cancelling through the link when I saw the subscription renewal email and got an error page. Finally cancelled it through the App Store subscriptions page. As much as I used to like this app, I feel like it’s a total scam now and not worth the headache.

Current version is okay. Older versions have been better. I love this app. I practically edit all of my photos on here - for the smallest of edits like brightening a photo to full mode bokeh filters. However, with recent updates some filters are great, but they also did get rid of a lot of older filters that I love. I wish they’d bring it back and allow users to choose which filters to download. Not to mention, some of the new filters will come with default text that I don’t like at all. Please make it optional to have the text. Overall, I will continue using the app but please bring back old filters. 3.5/5 stars from me.

The only app I use for editing.. In terms of creating filtered photos and minor editing needs I absolutely love this app. There’s very few apps now a days that don’t require some kind of payment to have access to the amount of tools and edits, filters, frames, text, and stickers that this app provides and keeps updating. I absolutely love using this app for all of my photos and have found myself wanting to edit on my phone instead of on the computer with software I’ve purchased because of its ease of use and it’s choices. 💕

My favorite editing app ✨🥰🌈. This is an honest to god review...I’ve been using Meitu for probably almost two or three years now. It’s my favorite editing app and my immediate go-to for selfies and food pics before I put them online. With so many money-grabbing apps out there, Meitu is such a great app to use even without purchases. That being said, there are things Meitu doesn’t offer that other apps do. It’s not Photoshop, so you can’t be as precise as you want or use it necessarily as an “photo editing app” outside of making things aesthetically pleasing (no cutting and pasting or duplicating, no layers), but you can control the strength of effect filters and beauty filters that are so, so well done and really fun for me (especially since it’s Japanese-styled and I’m American!). I wish my photo quality could be higher without sharing, but I can’t be choosy with a free app. I know I read an article about Meitu nearly having its plug pulled about a few months ago so I’m happy to see it still updating with awesome effects and features every month. Long live Meitu!! 💕✨

sketchy. this app is super sketchy. i tried “deleting my account” because it kept saying i couldn’t use certain features because i was under 13, which I’m not, I’m over 18. and even so, listed on my account info it said i was 29, which I’m not also. so i went to delete the account and it asked me for a bunch of security verification questions, such as “date of registration”, which it doesn’t even list so how am I supposed to know?, “date of last login”, “device you used the app on”, “linked phone numbers”, and last it asked me for my location down to the county I live in. oh, and then my phone number a second time. i ended up now deleting my account because i felt as if it was even more a threat if i deleted it then having it now. absolutely ridiculous. the app itself i had fun with which is a shame but there really is no need for all this. don’t download this app theres better ones out there.

Great for touching up pictures. If you turn off all the effects that make your eyes bigger and change your face shape it’s a great app. It has lots of filters and it applies makeup flawlessly. It even lets you tone the looks done if they’re too bold and readjust the position of it in case it over lines your lips too much. I was just looking for an app that would tint my lips and darken my eyebrows when I look dead in a picture. I got so much more than that!

This app is AMAZING!. I’ve been using this app for years now and it’s so great for editing. The wide variety of face editing, photo enhancing, and overall fun tech is so great for a photographer like myself. The AI also works way better than I imagined it could. It can detect the humans in a picture with a flaw, and make quite adorable animated versions of people. The ability to see other people’s posts is phenomenal as well! Overall, this app is great, and I wish I could give it over 5 stars!

Used to love it.. Now the majority of things that used to be available through watching an ad are 100% off limits to people who don’t want to because a “meitu vip” Y’all have become super greedy. Everything used to be free. Then you made it so that certain things had to be unlocked by watching ads. That was perfectly fine because once you unlocked it you got to keep it. Then you made it so that whatever you unlocked by watching an ad becomes locked again after one use. And now you can’t use the majority of stickers and such unless you’re willing to pay. Very disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite apps. Now it’s just become trash.

GAME CHANGER!. this app is my favorite ever for editing pictures! i love it so much, ever since i found out about it i havent been able to turn back. theres a feature where u can record yourself with presets and that touch up your makeup so you look even BETTER on camera! i’d like to say im a very pretty person and with this app i even become prettier. small blemishes or little errors in my photos can be changed! yes i understand this app has filters that can change your body and face as a whole but i usually use this app for matting my makeup and fixing lashes and eyeliner and give me a more softer look and the camera feature is my favorite! i love how you can edit almost everything and anything you want with this app, everyone needs to get on this app.

Just why?!!!!. Ok so I PAID for this and I was so excited! The reviews are super high and I had high hopes!… but it was taking forever to load the picture!!! Maybe it was a glitch on my phone and sorry for this negative review but I’m very disappointed. Also why can’t you restore a purchase???? Cuz I went back bc it was loading for forever and it made me pay again. I was so excited to do this cool filter☹️. Also why is there so many “ agreements” like they make me feel unsafe like your going to look at all my photos 😒 pls fix these and make it better for other people in the future but I definitely won’t re download this app 🙄

Good app but. I’ve been using this app for years now and while I love it because it’s free and has a lot of features, I also do have some complaints. I’ve noticed lately that every time I open the app, a lot of sticker packs or filters or whatever have been disappearing from my library on the app. Most items need to be unlocked and normally after unlocking them, they stay in your libraries for good. Now, I have to keep unlocking them and re-downloading packs I’ve previous had in my libraries over and over again. I don’t know if this is happening to others who use the app, but it’s a bit annoying to deal with and I want to understand if it’s just me or if it’s the app’s update doing it.

Loyal user for a decade. I have been using this app since I was 13 years old. Ten years later, it has been my go-to app for editing. I have loved it so much and I’ve preferred it to Adobe apps, even. Unfortunately, the ads lately have just been so awful. I’m used to banner ads or ads I can click out of, but it’s been getting worse by the day. I just had to sit through an UNSKIPPABLE 60 SECOND ad just to export a single photo. I am completely okay with banner ads and ads you can close, but it’s too much. It’s 15-30 second ads every single photo now (and now, sometimes 60 seconds). It makes me want to stop using it because I can do it much faster on another app. Please change this 😢

Can’t save your videos. This app won’t let you save video editing work. It wants you to sign up as a VIP member, then when you do and use a VIP feature, it won’t let you save anything unless you pay the VIP membership, And when you try, it tells you you ARE already a member but still won’t let you save!!! Like a viscous circle! I’ve had to screen record my videos to not lose them from this app. Scroll on for sure. It used to be a great app and now impossible to use. Also, won’t let e review go in unless it’s 4 plus stars….

Not working on iPhone 7+. Can’t use on iPhone 7plus with the latest iOS version. Can’t load any photos from album and the app will shut down after open it every time. Love this app but sad for not working on 7+

Used to be so good!. Just a week ago, this app was the best thing ever! It would generate up to 5 different styles of anime images about 10 times a day limit. But just now it has changed to only 3 different images and if you want more than you have to sign up for VIP!!!!! Deleting the app until it improves.

This app is good except the error. I over all love this app and it’s amazing! Need shop higher resolution. It’s 2022 now, all major cameras and phones has at least 20MP, but the maximum image exported only has 10MP. Time to make some change.

Too much advertisement. This app is great to use and all but to much advertisement lately I went through almost 5 advertisement in one go before I could even get to use the app and u have to wait for the advert to finish before you can continue on .. and now having to go through about 5 approx is ridiculous ..

Favourite app. I love this Meitu so much, I use it all the time editing selfies and group photos. There is a huge variety of aspects within the app that make it enjoyable and easy to use.

Video editing is extremely disappointing. Using a newly bought iPhone 11 to edit videos on Meitu, the app fails to render a 5 sec segment footage and keeps lagging during export. Spent hours editing and and several restarts, managed to get something 720p out but the videos all turned into froze image with the audio going rogue🤯 Tried several other ways to fix the issue, numerous editing feature bugs still remain unresolved. I really liked the app, but now it can’t even get the fundamental requirement of video editing right😞

Privacy Invasion (PLEASE READ). PLEASE READ! this is very important for anyone who’s looking to downloading this app. I haven’t used this app yet and luckily I haven’t I deleted as soon as I downloaded BECAUSE while I was waiting for it to load I was looking around in the App Store and I found that when you use this app they will take your Location, device ID, Financial info and Contact info and this isn’t some sort of thing people are saying. I read it on the App Store… if you exit out of reviews (press back) and scroll under app privacy it says data used to track you and if you press that, scroll, look under app functionality you’ll see all the things it tracks.

Incredible app!!. I genuinely love Meitu I like to record videos on my phone and I always use meitu to do so it’s incredibly easy to edit photos with and the filters are adorable overall I 100% recommended Meitu.

So great! Except.... I think it’s one of the best apps! Probably the best app, it’s so good. I use it to make cute photos and videos and it’s definitely high quality! One issue: I feel like some of the features I use suddenly become a VIP feature, and that kind of annoys me. So for instance I had this really cool filter and I used it then stopped using it for a while then when I wanted to use it again, it changed to VIP. Other than that it is great.

Meitu. This app is really good. All features and filters are free. When an image is saved there is no watermark. There are so many pretty filters to choose from. This is my favourite photo editing app.

I need support!. Hopefully, in the next update, we will have support for copying and editing to paste into many other photos. This saves my time. Thank you!

Please Change This Back!. I downloaded this app solely for the purpose of enhancing my videos and making the quality better. Recently, however, I noticed that they made it so you have to pay if you use the quality option more than once a day. I have seen so many people talking about this and most of them are switching to other editing apps for this reason. I still love this app but if nothing changes then I will do the same. In the future, will the video quality option be changed back to how it was previously?

Poor video quality after saving your edits. Once I was done snipping, video editing , & uploading . The final video is actually poor quality . I tried to do it the second time, but it did the same thing. It was very pixelated!! I requested for a refund through apple website I’m saying three stars because other features are not bad. Anything relating to editing pictures are great. Just not good for editing videos.

I’ve had this app log me out of the app about 7 times and made me lose almost 2 hours worth of editing, there’s also no way to save our work while creating unless we save the whole thing at the end or something. In Chinese. I’m a content creator and I have this app on one of my iPhones and it’s all in English and I love it but then I bought it for this phone and I can’t put it in English. You can’t contact customer support because it’s in Mandarin so very frustrating.

Way too many mandatory ads to watch!!!!!!!. Meitu used to be really good but in order to save the picture you edited, u have a really hard time getting out of having to watch several mandatory ads before your picture gets saved into your camera roll

RUINED. This app was good when I first got it, but now there’s just a bunch of un-skippable ads. When I try to use it there’s an ad that takes up my entire screen, I can’t get it off. I don’t recommend this unless you have the vip or whatever. I understand why they put ads in the app at all, but now they’ve given me an ad which makes me unable to even use it at all. I even have the latest version? They’ve really ruined it for me.

Fix the layout to fit an iPad screen.. The app is great, however, Is it possible to layout of the app that the screen fits an iPad screen, If any new addition that is added to the app It is sort of showed up as zoomed in too much so I can’t tap on the X to close it. The Ai painting is incredibly zoomed in. I get it you tried to make it usable for iPad users. But it’s not the best appearance wise.

REVIEW UPDATED 2023. I just deleted Meitu after almost 10 yrs. This was one of my go-to apps over the years on different phone OS. I've been using this to edit photos forever but with all the Ads and suggestions to become a VIP member, I can't use it offline anymore. It's just tedious to have to close the app for being non-responsive, and go back only to have the app do the same thing over and over again. Even when filters are downloaded, app doesn't work at all offline. I'm sure this review is not significant to the developers, but I wish you kept the offline functionality for long-time users at least or have a one-time reasonable pricing tier. Original review: Sooo much better than Diptic... and other paid apps out there... Please add a higher resolution option... some english translation wouldn't hurt too  

Good, but new update deleted a lot of fonts in video. This is a good app! But recently many of the 基礎/花字 fonts I used in video editing have disappeared. There is one font (from 基礎) I’ve been using for over 2 years and now it’s gone. Please bring back all the 基礎/花字 fonts for video editing. Right now 基礎 only has like 12 selections, there used to be a lot more.

I have to be VIP now??. At first, we could use (for example) the ai all the time without restriction for free. Now I have to be VIP to use it more than 5 time. I really liked it before but for now, I’m really disappointed.

Great for editing pictures!. I’ve been using this app for years and it gets the job done for editing your face/body for any blemishes and toning, erasing things in the background, and really nice filters that look natural and help brighten up the image! I use this app for my posts on Instagram. Hopefully all the editing features can be used for videos in the future!

give us an option to use the old ai feature. ive been using this app since 2022, and in december i started using the ai feature. its your most popular feature on the app. I like the old version where you uploaded a photo, and it would give you a few different ai generated results. but now you guys have removed it. please make an option to use the old ai feature or whatever.

Downgrades with updates. I mostly used Meitu for the AI art, taking pictures and putting them through until I had a perfect result. However, with a recent update to the app, there’s now a daily limit to how many times you can use the AI art. This sucks. Meitu was the best AI art generator from literally everywhere. It was simple and easy to use, but still gave absolutely fantastic results. Now it gives fewer images every generation (previously 5 now 3) and the daily limit is insanely limiting.

They’ve American-ized everything about the app (why???) even though it’s owned by Chinese, all the filters have crazy eyeballs and eyeshadows, too much contouring and makes your lips huge. Gross. Adds are toooooo long. Ok I understand that you need to make money by adding adds, but they are getting unreasonably long so I’m going to find an alternative app after 3 years of using this app.

Racist whitewashing. When I was doing the ai art, I put in a black character sketch with clear caramel colored skin, after putting it through 3 times and screnshottong every time after changing the skin tone back to the original dark color, it would make it light again. Your ai only makes white asian girls/ boys and I cannot stand not being able to include other people. Please change this so that when you put in a sketch it doesn’t change the skin tone no matter what, because if I make my character with dark skin I don’t want it to look as white as paper going through the Al art only twice. This is just clear racism. I do not care where this app is from, it needs to learn that people have different eye shapes and skin tones, if hate to not use this anymore but if this problem continues not only will I delete it but I also will report the problem on social media to make sure no one ever uses this disgustingly racist app. Sincerely, Someone who wants to make ai art with different skin tones 😡

A female oriented app that discriminated female. So disgusting. I’ve been using this app for years and to be fair it is because our girls that make this app famous and popular. But I can’t accept the fact that they discriminated female while earning load of money from them. They always post things like “why women can be so fake” “there’s nothing real in a woman’s whole body”. I was like????? Even if some of those posts are reposted from other bloggers, they should still apologize. I deleted this app and I’ll never use it again. I’ll also tell me friends about this. It’s not like there’s no other similar option.

My Opinion!. It’s great really just you need to pay for almost everything it’s not really great because I don’t really wanna pay! Literally I wanted to use this one thing then it says something around “buy premium and you can get 100 try’s” or something like no I don’t want to I just wanted to use it. So unless you wanna pay I don’t really recommend this app. Or I don’t know maybe no hopefully they make it more open so you don’t have to pay after one use! (I give it like a 2.5/5)

Astoundingly intuitive. The updates to this app have made an incredible difference. The makeup and reshaping tool are astoundingly intuitive and the results are very natural looking improvements that leave you looking like the best version of yourself. The “choose a face” feature has helped a lot for fotos with multiple people (especially when there are males in the photo). Honestly I’m just very impressed

Usage limit exceeded. I’ve been using the app for a few months now and I had purchased the VIP for extra photo generations. I did switch phones about a month ago and now it tells me “Usage limit exceeded. Please try again tomorrow.” I’m not really sure what to do about it as I’ve tried logging out and back in as well as restoring purchases. I’d love to change this to 5 stars but I can’t do that without being able to use the benefits I paid for :(

Meitu AI not working.. Usually i would give the app 5 stars but now i can’t click on anything in the AI function? No issues with the main screen or the beautify and other functions, they work perfectly. I can click on the buttons for the different options in the AI function but it doesn’t take me anywhere. Just leaves me stuck on the same screen. It had started doing this right before i updated it recently. So i figured the update would solve it but nothing changed.

BEST Pic Edit App.. I normally don’t right app review but I have to get a Fivestars with this one. This is absolutely the best app for picture editing that I have ever used. I have been using this app for the past 4-5 years before they even have English available in the app. Still loving it. You’re missing out 😤🌸. Meitu is so advanced in their editing options. Sometimes I take quick photos and automatically think “okay I can enhance this!” My favorite part? Rarely do I encounter ads. When I do, I don’t even notice. I feel like this is a great product, I’ve downloaded so many cool filters🌈

Love this App But. I absolutely love using this app. Even paid for the vip services a while ago so I could get more functionality but since the recent update, I still have ‘limited’ uses on their AI tech and have to wait til the next day to continue to use it. Other than that issue, love the functions and how east it is to navigate.

3 star review.. Meitu is such a good app because it helps me with my fanpage I have on another app called TikTok. Although, there has been some rumors going around saying it tracks you’re location and puts some of ur information on the dark web. Might not be true but it has been on safari and many other apps.

Fun but has issues. Love the features. I was finally able to open the photo edit section to play around with the different mosaics but now I can’t get back inside. Every time I try opening the “Photo editing” it just freezes regardless of how many times I close the app and re-open it. I can only access the photo taking feature and tried getting to the other features through that but didn’t work. Please fix

Nice but I want the old version. This is a very nice app but I deleted it and then downloaded it again and it updated automatically to the new version. The old version allowed me to share with others on a community. How do I get back the old version or can you collaborate both

Loved it until recently. I had loved using this app for photo editing, but recently when I use text editing on it, my photos have been saving really blurry despite the settings being on HD! Idk if it’s something from the update, but it’s really bothersome! Would love to have this fixed so I can keep using it!

Bug??. I downloaded this app and used it for quite a while for its mosaic features. At the time i was only able to download one of the glitter options and just a bit ago i deleted the app but redownloaded right after. I opened the app and its not allowing me to download any of the glitter options in mosaic again including the one i used to use. Please fix this the glitter options are very important to me.

Also horrible. Idc what you guys resend I won’t believe a word I will never download, I recommend 24fps and use the quality’s meitu and yea. It also tracks your location to the dark web then They give it to china they scan your stuff, and police could get involved, if you don’t want this happening if you have it delete it NOW! And never download. Want a app like this? It’s a safe app it’s called wink please download that it’s your choice if you want this happening to you, if you want the save version download “wink” Updated review (This doesn’t work either way so I hope you guys get your app deleted forever bye)

Overall good!. I absolutely love Meitu! However, it doesn’t have many choices to do with the audio, like you can’t edit it or anything. You can select it’s volume and some other things, but I wish we had more options. Amazing app for beginners, though! REALLY easy to use, and still enjoyable without VIP!

Cosplay quick-edit dream. I NEVER leave reviews but Meitu is so easy and intuitive to use and I’ve been using this very happily for years. You can tell they work hard to make sure their features work well and they all have many sub options to adjust intensity of effects, correct mistakes, and color. I’d choose this over Facetune or many other paid apps every single day of the week. Very satisfying and simple to use.

Ethereal. I used the love this app and used it all the time. However this latest update removed my favorite filter and the only one I ever used (ethereal) and even trying every other option under beauty Norge is the only thing that comes close but the lighting even then is terrible. I’ve uninstalled this app and refuse to use it again until they bring back this filter. Why would an update remove filters instead of adding them? I don’t understand.

Great app!. Honestly I use this app a lot for my business. It’s a beautiful interface and a huge option of different tools. Out of all the apps I use this one is by FAR my favorite. Just one problem. I’m in my 20’s and I accidentally hit the wrong button so now the app thinks I’m under 13 🙄 I’m not sure how to fix that? But a solution would be great. Thanks!

Limits to pro account? Not what I payed for. I had no issues with this app. Was great sense july when I 1st downloaded and bought their pro-subscription. Today the app is telling me I’m hitting usage limits. The pro-subscription was supposed to remove those limits? They replied that they changed the app. And the unlimited use i had payed for is no longer a thing. I have now payed into a subscription that I’m unable to use. Also, there is no mention of this in the updates. Bait and switch? Class action maybe needed. I want full refund.

Would have giving it a 5 stars if. The app is great but it has a couple of issues when I try to use any of the beautify options it doesn't work for me also I really wish that taken videos would be longer because I like taking videos but I usually have to make them quick or else my time runs out and I hate that. Please make an option where we can record videos for a longer period.

I love it BUT. I love it so much, that’s why I’m so upset that it has forgotten that I subscribed to the annual paid version and took away my access to special features for paying subscribers. My Apple subscriptions say I’m paid for till December 25, so it makes no sense for them to take it away from me. This is the first issue I’ve ever had with them.

So much fun. Obviously I got this off of tik tok for the AI anime filter and this is the most fun I’ve ever had on a app. I love this so much, I get super cute anime photos or cute animal photos. And it’s funny when it makes something weird or the wrong animal or just spawns an animal when there wasn’t one. This app swears my cat is a dog in most pics but that just makes it funny. I LOVE THIS.

My favorite and only photo editing app. To the people who are looking at this app right now but still doubting if they should get it, I’m telling you right now: it’s COMPLETELY worth it. It beautifies, edits, and takes pictures. It’s much better than every other photo editing app. You will so regret it if you don’t get it!

My favorite picture editing app. 你好 I love it ,it’s easy to use, has ton of different features and designs but there is one thing that I need to tell you you need to get a membership to use all the stickers ,text ,magic brushes, and more. But in general I would give it a 4.9 out of 5

4 years and counting. This is literally my favorite editor, for pics or videos. The basic version has so many options and it’s very easy to use, so the premium is next level. Strongly recommended. Also doesn’t have a lot of ads which makes using this app even better to have

Crashes Lose Editing. This App is not saving none of my media it’s not in my drafts it’s not on my gallery it’s no where on my phone and it keeps crashing over and over again this is an iPhone 11 it turns off all day long what’s the problem I am tired of this over and over no saving keeps crashing Do Something Now!!!!! Took away cool features 😒. I really love this app but I used to love it more before they took away the Carnival filters and the most beautiful magic brushes. Please never take away the Pink filters!!! And please bring back the magic brushes and the Carnival filters!!! 🙏 Update: you guys are downgrading this app! You’re taking away all the filters. Absolutely love it but not sure about the new update. I have used this app for a long time and loved it on the whole. The new update has taken away the soft eraser in the contour/ highlight section. Every time I tap on the part I want to reduce the highlight a bit, it erases it completely. Before I could control how much I want to dim it down but now it’s totally out of control. Hope you will bring back the previous eraser.

Broken. So the normal beautiful and edit works and that great, I use that all the time. However this new feature came out where it is supposed to make ur face look like a drawing and that exists along with the others that do similar things, before I updated it they all worked fun, but since the update all its been saying in internet connection issues and all my other apps that require Internet access are working fine so idk what’s happening.

Cute chibi great for marking energies memorable. This app is really cute with the Japanese like art style and photoshop you have a cute fun way of editing pic's and there are ton's of options for editing as well so far you don't have to pay for anything and sometimes you can make really funny pics I rcamend this app for animae lover's and anyone who loves makeing fun and cute photo's

App Bug unfixable. I’ve used Meitu since its release, a recent update now makes you choose whether you are older than 13 or not to use the tech app. I am 22 years old, it asks me for my age in my profile however every time I choose to use the tech app it tells me users under 13 are unable to use it. I’ve gone back and tried to reestablish my account multiple times and it stills gives me this error. It’s basically the only reason I use the app. Now it’s useless to me.

I can’t pay. Hi so I had been using this app for a while and had no problem with it and I know like this is how you make more money but I can’t afford to pay for premium. That is was it tells me when I try to edit more than one video so that means I have to pay if I want to use it more than once a day.

Skin color art generator issue. Hello, this app is really great. However, one of the problems I’ve stumbled upon is that whenever I post my picture to generate it into an art style, it lightens my skin color. I’m so distraught because I love the app but I can’t use the other functions that I want to use the most on myself without it making my skin color completely different and more white.

Best but still lacks something...... The app is best and has some strong editing tools for which i love the app most. The only lacking is when i take i picture, it doesn’t have auto saving options. That option would be so convenient to use. Please bring that option into the next update. Then it will be a complete app and I’ll rate it five stars ⭐️.

My all time favorite editing app ✨✨. I’ve been using this for about 4 months now?? And honestly I love it it’s not like any editing app I used before. It’s completely free and you can get access to tons and tons of filters. I use it to edit my art. You can take your photo through heavy and light editing. Anything I edit in Meitu always comes out aesthetically pleasing

Auto exposure during a video. I’ve used this app for along time. It really is a great app. I would like to know if there is a way that auto exposure can be added to the video. If I’m doing a video the lightning changes so much when I move until the video looks crappy by the end. And if already an option can you let me know where?? I looked in settings & didn’t see it!!!

Tag search. I would love this so much more if there were tags on the filters and the frames. For example if you could search “heart” and all heart stickers, filters, frames, and magic brush options could come up it would be easier to pick what I’m envisioning. Overall still a great editing app, in fact my only editing app.

Favorite Photo App 💗. I’ve used this app for years and love it! The filters are always adorable and flattering. The editing/collage etc features are always so useful and have so many options. My only downside and reason I’m writing this is because after updating the app has been very laggy and slow when I use the camera option 🥺🥺 works fine on my other phone, I wonder if it’s a 6plus thing? 😓

Great App. I love this app for its photo editing and filters features. It has a great selection and makes all of my photos look great. However, this app runs too slow to take and save pictures. It will also crashes sometimes when it takes too long to either show or save the picture taken. I would love for that to be fixed so I could use Meitu a lot more if it ran faster and smoother.

greedy and predatory. I have used this app for over a year for anime portraits because I love doing them when I’m bored. now I can only do a few a day unless I want to pay 8 dollars a month. Dude I’m poor why do you think i’m entertaining myself with a free app? I would not mind watching 15-30 second ads instead of paying, I understand needing to make money, but i’m not paying the same amount i’d pay for Crunchyroll for an ai app I use once a month. Great way to make people hate your app, I used to love using it and I loved the updates until I could only use it for 3 minutes tops. Deleted.

Keeps force closing. This is a great app for effects, unfortunately I’ve wasted more than an hour trying to edit a photo only for the app to force close on me every time I tried to save. Then to top it off, when it finally did save it glitched again and left a blank white spot on the photo. Other free apps save your photo as a draft if it force closes but this one leaves you out to dry. Overall this app is OKAY for a quick edit, but it’s a waste of time beyond that.

Yes, it has everything I need! But.... Just updated my App yesterday, and noticed there’re some main changes on UxUi. I’ve used Meitu since it came out. - I love the menu icons. Simple and modern. - Some features become more flexible. However...(personal feedback) My personal experience with background layers selection is frustrating. I used “Mosaic” to cover my underneath photo, and then add texts. Due to previous UX habits, I’d like to tap the background after I type something, simply because I want to see the layout without borderline. BUT even when I was using “Text” feature, the mosaic layer just keep moving to the front if it’s getting tapped. A layers editing add to the menu might work better.

Used to be good. I can’t even begin to express how frustrated I am. I’ve spent the better part of 8 HOURS trying to export one video. The app spends ages doing it only to tell me every time that it’s failed. I have zero idea what the issue is. There’s plenty of space on the phone. What a waste of a day. I’ve been paying for this app for about two years now but if this happens again, I’m cancelling my subscription. Right now I’m off to try a different app. Maybe I can get this video edited by next week.

Was great, now glitching??. I normally would have given this a 5 star I really like it. But starting not too long ago the image quality fixer has been showing the results from the last video I used and not letting me change the quality of the one I actually want changed. This glitch is very frustrating I have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling for it to work only once. Please fix it!!!!

Better than VSCO and free!!!. Meitu is has so many more editing capabilities than VSCO, and it’s all free! I’ve been using this app for several years, and it’s by far my favorite editing app. The presets are fantastic, the artistic filters/backgrounds are so fun to use, and there’s so much fine-tuning that you can do for each photo. And that’s not to mention the video capabilities too! Holy grail photo app for me.
