Disappointed in new model app. Extremely disappointed the way you made us download this new app, and not let our children enjoy what they are used to. I understand apps needs to be updated from time to time and with that comes some GUI changes. Why would block the previous apps that our toddlers are used to, forcing parents to update into a new model that is not kid friendly. Eveytime you open this app is in adult mode, we have to then come in and switch it to Child’s View mode in order for them to play it with. If you’re going to do that, then have an option in the settings for us to switch it to Child’s Mode until an adult comes in with a password to access order areas the child is not supposed to. Uninstalled.

Love it.. I watch my, just turned, 1 year old niece 5 days a week 12 hours a day. I have had this app for almost 2 months now and we love it. She is starting to imitate the animals sounds and she "sings" along to the songs. It is a life saver when she is fussy. She will sit there and watch it over and over again till she is in a better mood. I have never had sound issues with it either. Like I said I love it. And it's free. I recommend it to everyone with little kids.

Love this app!. My 2 year old loves this app! She always asks for the “moo moo” game. Thanks for helping a mom keep her little one engaged and entertained!

GARBAGE.. Thank you so much for making my autistic 9 year old’s favorite activities crushed by developing this app. Why not just retain the old versions and give option for this new for those who choose to use it? The previous apps were better for little ones. Easier to navigate. More fun and less confusing. This new one is just a collection of crappy clips and games that aren’t nearly as interactive and is more of a sales pitch of buying your toys (which we already have plenty of.. but now I feel like I’m done buying them). During all the uncertainty of the pandemic when we finally were able To replace his iPad he was so excited to play his favorite games. And now he is disappointed and frustrated and sad. So thanks for making an already difficult year more difficult for your “customers”. You don’t care if these games were beloved. You care about online platforms, marketing your products and clearly do not understand the needs or age appropriate development of children nor the sensitivities of those with special needs. Get the old games back or I’m sure you’ll see a lot of lost business. Thanks again.

So disappointing- no stars- I guess it gets one to be able to post this review. My grandson is just over 1 year old and I was hesitant to introduce the ipad to him but I found the Fisher Price apps were suited to a child just starting out using electronics. They kept his interest and were educational. He loved the Storybook 1, 2, and 3, Shapes and Colors, and was just getting into First Words. His first exposure to an iPad was the Puppy app with the ABC’s, 123’s, Shapes, and the sing-a-long. Since screen time is only used for educational purposes these were the go to apps that I thought were worth using, but the new and improved Learn and Play app leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t get how these sub topics in this app are worthy of keeping. He is very frustrated because he doesn’t have what he had grown to love. I understand trying to make improvements but don’t discount something just because it’s been around for awhile.

Upset. I wrote a review and got some messed up line just bring back original stop messing with special needs kids life I am not understanding why you can’t have both game don’t you understand that the game you created is not compatible with all kid if I have a phone number or email even a address I would not stop nice to know that fisher price only cares about normal kids at this point I will never buy anything from fisher price or support them they are a joke. And if this review isn’t loud enough let me see what social media thinks of this

Terrible. Why did you ruin a good thing? If I could give zero stars I would. I have never written a review before, but congrats! You have inspired me. I had the original 7 years ago for my first daughter. She loved the giggle gang. I now have a one year old and I downloaded the app because I remembered how much she loved it. My second child loved it just as much even though it was slightly different from the giggle gang. But, not different enough to be a real change. Now you have completely altered it so much that you are no longer for your target audience. If you no longer want to support an app for the one year old age range, then stop directing parents to the new app. It clearly is a complete change and not at all what we are looking for. Thanks for ruining my child’s only app.

requires much improvement. i've had fisher price apps for my children for the past six years and this “latest update” stinks. the games and videos/songs have awful graphics and are glitchy to no end. it makes me incredibly sad that my newest addition wont be able to enjoy the fisher price app like her elder siblings did. be better fisher price

Bring back the basic!. I’m so sad they ruined their former easy to use app!!! I’ve looked around at so many apps to try to find something like what fisher price had. They other stuff is fine but pleeeease bring back the simple ABC tap for the little ones!

Love it!. I love the colorful spunky characters!!

Un-FREAKING BELIEVABLY RIDICULOUS. I first purchased this app for my oldest daughter when she was young, she now has a baby sister and I was so excited to find these apps for her! She adored the apps. You did not have the parents and ESPECIALLY NOT the children in mind when you did this. My child HATES the new app HATES! Kids need CONSISTENCY and you took that from them. ESPECIALLY DURING A PANDEMIC!!! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED. I don’t want to hear consolidate this and that nonsense because the app you have now is TRASH compared to what they were before. My child won’t even open the app. Where is the “Where is Puppy” the parts of the body??? I don’t see it, the shapes and colors is soo different she HATES EM ALL. Like I said SHAMEFUL! If you care anything about the consumers and children you will do the right thing and BRING THE OLD APP BACK!

This is Ok. But when will you be bringing the Laugh & Learn Apps back?

Nope. Hate this update! It lost all the original game versions m son loved. He’s autistic and doesn’t understand why he can’t find the games he loved.

Conformity over simplicity. We’ve got a lot of apps. This app turned from a great, simple app that was a wonderful brand ambassador for Fisher Price into a low grade version for every other app. The old app could be used by a 6 month old and was great. This new substitute app got rid of the super simple stuff and substituted it with a low grade version of everything else that’s out there. Worse, it looks like they’ve stopped updating it. Yeah, things change and all that but why break something that was fine as is if you’re not going to do anything with it? Bad call.

Not working? Here's the fix. I too had my apps stop working. I have since discovered that I need to keep some of the paid/free apps on the iPad and four free ones on my phone. It's trial and error. I'd recommend deleting all of your fisher price apps and download the favorite and then add them 1 at a time. You will come to a point where you will add 1 too many and all the apps will crash. A couple seem unaffected, but a majority will stop working. Good luck.

Ugh. We had a lot of the standalone apps, but they are “gone” and direct us to this one, only the material from those apps is not included in this app! What is the point?! Force a new app on parents and children with promise of “updates” to include the stuff from the apps we already have! How about once the material was integrated into your new app THEN you make the original app unusable. The old apps need to be in this new app if you are attempting to redirect parents and keep your audience. Maybe the new parents will fall for this crap, but us parents who know, know better. My children can’t even enjoy the Storybook Rhymes or Giggle Gang. And the baby apps won’t even work anymore (needs update, but I don’t think they are even in the App Store anymore) and they were some of the best ones out there! Roly and the Contrast Colors, and other ones. So disappointed! They worked fine. My children loved them, used them for sitting also. You really want to move away from what you once stood for apparently.

My Daughter loved this. 6 years or so ago when she was around two or three- ish. I went to listen to some of the songs again and saw that it needs to be updated. Read the reviews that make it sound like it’s completely different. That’s sad. It’s like losing family pictures in a way.

Sing a long songs. My son LOVES sing a long songs. It keeps him so busy and it’s great he’s learning too!!

Aww I miss the old app!. My first child is 7 yrs old now but back when he was just 6 months old to around 2/3 yrs we both enjoyed the old fisher price apps so much that when I had my newest little one I wanted to download the apps again only to find out there no longer on the App Store and now there’s a new version, the new version is okay but I gotta say the old app with the cute little rhymes like Pattycake and the itsy bitsy spider was our fav this app only has one rhyme witch is “1,2 buckle my shoe” witch we also love but disappointed that this app only includes one rhyme for the rhymes section witch is misleading as it’s labeled (Rhymes). Please bring back the old app!

Great update. The new games are great. Easy to use and great for me and my friends with young kids. Fun music too.

Updates killed the app.. Was fine when it was just called “Puppy”, simple and super easy to use. Flash forward a year and a half later and I’m trying to teach my baby her A-B-C’s and the app is so convoluted and complex and slow now.

We miss the old apps. I originally downloaded the fisher price series of apps for my daughter who is now nine. I was excited to see that these apps were still available for my one year old son. We were able to download and play with them for a couple of weeks before the apps were no longer supported and we were switched to this new version by homer. BAD MOVE! This new app is nothing like the previous interactive apps. We enjoyed those apps because they were very interactive for younger babies. Simple taps would take you through a game and lead you to a song. This new app is for older toddlers maybe 2-3 and it requires more thought and knowledge to use. It leaves the younger babies out. The videos are just okay, but they don’t feature any of the songs we’ve grown to know and love. The other apps were better. I miss the where’s baby’s nose, colors and shapes, ABCs, and being able to learn all these things with simple taps on the screen. BRING THEM BACK PLEASE!

Please bring back Puppy ABCs/123. My non verbal special needs son LOVED the Fisher Price Puppy app. We even incorporated the app into his therapy sessions because it was such a motivator for him. The app was easily engaged (my son just had to tap the screen) and it kept his attention with silly sounds, bouncing images, and songs. He loves music and is motivated by music. His speech therapist loved how the app encouraged him to touch the screen because this is a skill he will need as he transitions into assistive communication devices. The new app is NOTHING like the puppy games. He now becomes frustrated when he sees the puppy icon or picture card we made because the app no longer works. I am willing to pay for the Puppy app for it to be returned. This app may not be important to a lot of people, but to my son it was priceless. Please reconsider getting ride of the Fisher Price abc/123/shapes app.

storytime. loved the old nursery rhyme one. angry that it is gone. this does not compare.

0 plays left. My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves this app. However, it ended up saying she had 0 plays left. Nowhere on the app allows you to purchase. Or pay for more plays. It says unlock for free plays so we go in and enter our information but then says my email already exist. And again, with no option to pay for more plays. So she’s been really upset. I had to enter another email. I hope this isn’t the only way to play this app. Other than that, I would have given 5 stars.

Waste of time. I’m sick of the canned responses on here from fisher price. “We had to say goodbye to some beloved games...blah blah...consolidate..blah blah”. Give me a break. How can you pull your clearly “beloved” apps during a freaking global pandemic when parents are at their wits end. I’ve been waiting for the stupid homer app to update with the content of the formerly “beloved” apps, and it still hasn’t happened. Why would you as a company remove content before it was in place in the new app?? My toddler HATES the homer app the way it is now and he cries when he sees it on the screen, so now I don’t even bother giving him the iPad, so I guess thank you for turning my child off to technology completely? Also he has the stuffed fisher price puppy which was featured in these apps. He now hates the puppy and calls it a “traitor” because he can’t understand why the puppy isn’t available for him to play with on the iPad any more. I try to explain the concept of consolidation, but I don’t think he quite gets it yet. So congrats, my kid now hates fisher price, and won’t ever play with another fisher price toy.

Just okay and really buggy. My daughter has loved this app since she was about 6 months until now (10 months). The issue is it doesn't function properly about 70% of the time. First I started noticing that after a few minutes of play, the animals would stop appearing on the screen but the audio was still there. Now, over the past week or so, there hasn't been any audio--at all. Even when it is functioning properly, there are a few annoying features. Each animal only makes its sound once. It would be nice if we could hear the lion roar a few times before disappearing. The other annoying feature is that the screen has to be tapped once to get to the next animal, but a baby holding a phone usually has a few fingers on the screen at all times so we're stuck hearing a giggling animal slide all over the screen unless we want to pry the phone away from the baby's hands to tap the screen. This usually results in a screaming baby.

So sad 😥. I’m 9 year old now and puppy play was here wend I was 6 BUT I DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE 😡but this game is so awesome my sister had this game when she was 5 but now she 7 years old so sad to see her grow up

Disappointed. I have five years difference in age between my kids. The original apps helped teach shapes, colors and letters so well, but this new app falls short. A few things make me loathe this app: 1. The interaction is basically gone. No more cause and affect *poking* to make the video sequences happen. My child is used to the old app and ends up just pausing the videos. 2. The screen flips to horizontal viewing only. 3. My youngest got to play the old apps for a month and loved them, but this new one is hard to engage with ..because it’s basically just videos and an art studio. These concepts aren’t age appropriate ,even though I put in my child’s age. We won’t be using this app as is, any longer. Hoping for some good development and updates soon! If we like the updates, I’ll update my review!

Great for my son. I had only gotten the Laugh and Learn Shapes and Colors app before the migration, so I don’t have experience with the previous suite of apps I see the complaints on. My son is 2 years 4 months and loves playing his “game”. The new app is awesome for him, with its kid mode letting him be in control and choose what he wants to do, and I can pass my phone back to him in the car and don’t mind hearing the song along songs on repeat. I love this app.

Bring back the old games. My 3 year old had not used our old iPad for awhile but tonight we decided after a long day ( he was up at 4 am and I’m 9 months pregnant) we would let him play games on the iPad as long as he wanted. He is very specific about what games he will play. If he opens it one time and doesn’t immediately like it he will never give the game another chance. He wouldn’t use abc mouse because it didn’t just open to one game. He loved the old fisher price apps that are now suddenly gone and when he tried to open then tonight just started screaming and crying saying that everything was broken and he looked completely heart broken. I understand if you want to discontinue an app but why can it not stay available for those who already had it downloaded. I downloaded this app but it’s garbage.

Unfortunate in every way. Disabling already downloaded and working apps to force parents to upgrade and sign up for yet another “account” or “service” to give Fisher Price an email address is frustrating enough. Then on top of that to provide a lackluster experience with an app that feels and performs like a glorified web view with video clips of the previous apps is the icing on the cake. This is an unforced error of the highest degree. Fisher Price has managed to ruin something as simple as letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and animal sounds. Who was asking for this change? Why not just make something new and let it prove itself or flame out like every other developer? It makes me wonder if any of the individuals involved with making this change had young children. Young kids want to interact and explore, they don’t want to just watch a video clip and tap on the screen to view another video clip. That’s what teenagers do. They want to see what happens when they touch the screen, see if they can move something around or make the animals react. It doesn’t take a big production budget. Fisher Price, please stop trying to become a service. Don’t break or take away already loved products and properties. Be true to your brand. You make simple and fun toys for little kids. Just make simple and fun apps for iOS.

Garbage since their “update”. Why would you get rid of all your apps that kids loved? I get that you wanted to put all the apps under one “roof”, but why get rid of the games where the alphabet, shapes, numbers, etc… would fall down the screen while songs played?! My little boy with autism still grabs the ipad, looks for that game, then has a meltdown because it’s not there for him to use anymore. Obviously your company is more worried about saving some pennies than making your audience, the kids, happy. Terrible company that’s against kids with special needs, and have gotten rid of any FP toys in our home. You’ve definitely lost a customer for life.

One suggestion for 5 stars. my 6 month old daughter loves all of these apps and we just got her the Fisher Price hand held baby case to put our iPhones in. it's been great at occupying her while we are shopping, in the car, or so we can get things done, but I HATE having to unlock the back in order to exit the app and get into another one since the home button is blocked. I would love to see a back arrow to get back to the home screen and an exit button on the home screen to get back to all of my apps. put this feature in an update and I'll gladly give all the FP apps 5 stars!

Replace amazing apps with a poor performing one. The line of Fischer Price apps historically was amazing and used them with my niece and nephew once they turned 2. Was looking forward to the same for my own son and saw they replaced them with this app. Gave it a chance, but needless to say this is bad even when not compared to the old apps. Must use data / cellular to pull content, the interface for children is not seamless, and is a one size fits all approach to aged learning. I am so disappointed and plan to purchase non-Fischer price toys due to this (outside of little people). I hope this gets fixed as I would then support Fischer Price in the future.

Don’t Bother. My daughter was super motivated by all of the original Fisher Price Apps and she was learning! She learned to crawl, fine motor, animals, sounds and ABCs. She’s 1 and special needs. Puppy is her absolute favorite. I really don’t understand after 8 years of having these apps why you would take them down. There’s nothing wrong with them! Homer has none of these and the apps they do have are super boring and teach nothing. I’m bored with them - imagine a 1-3 year old? It’s nothing but old fisher price videos that all she could do it watch but no participation. The rest are terrible for a 1 year old. No colors sounds or anything really interesting. Not even the old nursery rhymes. I actually paid for this crap. Many therapists used the old apps to motivate and teach - especially cause and effect. Why why why would you take these down? Especially why would you lie to your end users and tell them the apps have moved? I even called corporate and I’ll continue to do so until something changes. Shame on you Fisher Price!!!!!

Works great.. We bought our 6 month old daughter the Fisher-Price iPhone case for babies and it listed this app as one of the three to try out with the case. Most baby apps on the App Store have things that get in the way, but these apps that Fisher-Price have made are great because you can just load one up and let it run while the phone is in the case. Baby can play with the screen and case and you don't have to worry about her accidentally getting back to the home screen or loading up something else.

Waste. My son loved the Fisher price apps. He was learning a lot the first words he loved also all the story books. He started with the fisher price app that taught parts of your body. This new app is crap!! Don’t waste your time down loading it Fisher Price should come back with their other apps that were educational this is not stickers not educational. Bad move on Fisher Price very disappointing Not sure why Fisher price ruined what they have and your response is useless it’s the same for everyone kids no longer learn from your apps. I think you should take into consideration that you are getting more negative reviews than positive. Bad business decision loosing kids and parents

Bring back the old games!. This app is pointless and useless now! When my two older kids were little, we used the app back when it was actually good and kept kids attention. My daughter had learned her shapes and colors through the app when she was a year old! I downloaded the app today for our youngest and found it’s totally different and they don’t have any interest in it at all. Please bring back the old game. It was shapes and colors and it sang a song after you tapped the shapes though and they danced around and it was on a little stage. It was so cute and my kids loved it. Super bummed it’s not on here anymore. You’d think with covid going on that brands would keep the apps and games that were favorites among consumers.

Not fun. We just downloaded all of the fisher price apps about a month ago and now they’ve all been discontinued except for this one. My son was loving the app where you touched a block and it told you what the picture on the block was. He would play for a good 15 minutes straight, this app doesn’t even interest him for a full 2 minutes. He’s not interested in placing “stickers” on the screen which there are two different sticker games in the new app. The letter and shape games would be fun but the animations take a long time and the letters constantly change on the screen instead of allowing him to explore each letter. The animal and animal sound game is pretty lame, you really don’t even have to do anything it just plays itself so he loses interest after 2-3 animals. Your old apps were better.

My little one loves this app!. Great for my 3yo to learn shapes and colors! She loves the characters and it’s good to know it’s a safe digital app!

Bring back puppy!!. I got a new iPad and went to download the puppy game that my son absolutely loves so much and while tryin to find it, I realized it doesn’t even exist anymore and it went to this stupid thing! I don’t know who’s brilliant idea was to do that! The only way I found out about it was readin through all the reviews and saw that people were saying to bring back the puppy game. This “new” game is not very educational at all! It’s extremely boring and nothin to do and doesn’t teach hardly anything! My son is really behind with words and talking and he was really picking up a lot of words from the puppy game, he can’t do that with this darn thing. If people, including myself are even willin to pay to bring that other puppy game back, then do it! There’s no sense in keeping a game that people and kids hate

Would love to see more app games!. My son absolutely loves this app. But unfortunately children do grow I do hope to see more fantastic app games for him in the mere future. However I do have one request since this was also a fisher price game. Do you happen to have fisherprice’s pet shop game back when it was on the pc? I played it with my son on the pc he loved it but thought the game was something he could touch on screen than use the computer mouse lol that game would be wonderful on the app devices. I hope it isn’t much trouble but if it is I guess will just stick with the pc version. But he did enjoy this app very much and I highly recommend this for new parents with children.

Annoyed. I hate the new "home" button you added at the top my son will tap it and exit out of the app, and every other one of your apps that you've added that home button feature to. I will be deleting them soon because they are of no help now since he knows how to exit the app by tapping the 'home' button on the screen. He manages to access all my personal apps that he is not allowed to mess with and get into any part of my phone. I hope you remove it soon! I gave 5 stars because they are great apps just hate the new easy access home button you added. UGH

Thank you for bringing the animals back!!!. My toddler was playing with the app this morning, and I heard the familiar bear growl he was so sad to lose when the app was replaced (disguised as an update) with something completely different. The current app is so much bigger than the fun animal sounds and songs app, and they have FINALLY embedded that original app as one of the many fun activities. I went from giving one star for hijacking my sons favorite app, rather than creating a new, separate one, to five stars for this recent update making things right and returning what was lost. Well done, Fisher Price!

The app is better.. The devs have done a great job at bringing the beloved Puppy games back. They listened and continue to bring back old favorites and my kid loves the app. Good job guys!

My daughter doesn’t like it. We had the original laugh and learn app. It was toddler friendly. The different modules weren’t overwhelming. My daughter loved being able to swipe to the next letter, number or shape. This new app throws a bunch of letters on the screen and she gets frustrated and stops using the app within the first 5 minutes. We tried to like it but it’s a NO for us. Please give parents the option to continue using the old app. Update: The old she was using is no longer available. When we try to open it, it says it’s no longer available. It had everything ABCs, 123s, shapes and colors. Please, please bring back the old apps. All these bad reviews can’t be wrong. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.

Bring back the old apps. All the old apps that kids loved are now blocked and this new app is the only one that works. It is NOT child friendly nor as interactive for toddlers as the other ones were. The toddler I watch loved the alphabet one and made all the animal noises to it. So disappointed to see this new app taking over. Response to developer thinking I’m an idiot using the parental area of the app: No, we are in the “kids” area. Again: Not nearly as user friendly as the old apps for a child at 20 months. She used to listen for the opening giggle to the old apps and get excited and make animal noises for the alphabet. Now she loses interest and just clicks out of it. Bring the old apps back PLEASE. I will GLADLY PAY FOR THEM.

Ruined the old apps.. I believe this app is supposed to be a compilation of the previous Fischer-Price apps such as First Words. What a shame to destroy the individual quality apps to “put them together” in this lesser version. As far as I see, they must have been moved into the trash bin. I do see that this app is now associated with Homer. I suppose I could purchase the $10/month Homer app where I assume everything that was the wonderful about the old Fischer-Prices apps is now located. Ridiculous. I refuse to do that. Please bring back the old apps. I just read an enormous amount of negative comments on this “new and improved” (hardly) version. It’s terrible. I’m going to swear off purchasing Fisher-Price products in future.

Puppy apps by Homer. The original Homer apps were great for my grandchildren! Even the update was very cute and appropriate for babies to 4 year olds. Now, even the updates do not work, although they are still offered on the App Store, all we get is a black screen! All my grandchildren loved them, it’s really a shame to discontinue something that works so well, it would be very appreciated if you could remedy this situation and return access to these apps. The newer available apps are preschool apps and very boring for the younger set. Thank you.

Hf. Love it! I have a 5yr old son and he plays his ds while my 2yr old daughter wants a turn. I wanted some thing easy to use fun and if poss educational. This really is great for the shopping.

A win. One of the few apps that stops our 1 year old destroying the iPhone. Cute, fun puts a smile on his face. Slightly annoying American voice though !

Awesome!. My baby loves it!! And it's free!! Thx!!

Quite good.. My niece loves it, but would be much better if it had more animals other then that it's quite a good app.

Love it. We really love this app... It's only short but good for little bubbas.

Great. My son loves this app! Thanks

So many app error not even can load first page. Just tried for my kid after download when open app pop up error message {cannot load media file} or {failed to load matascript} on every selection, I delete the app after 1mins it’s totally waste of time..I’m iPad Air 2 & iOS 15.7.3

Perfect for my baby girl. She loves the songs an dances to them as soon as i put it on she has a big excited smile on her face you guys are fantastic but you need more singing song apps

Worst app since changes. The change was made and it looked like you tried to combine all learning areas into one app. However, the activities are basically videos and less interactive than the old ones, my daughter is super upset that they no longer work. If I wanted my child to learn from a a video I'd sit her down in front of Sesame Street. As an early childhood educator i give the children small amounts of screen time with educational apps from time to time. fisher-price used to be the go to... not anymore. Very disappointed.

Miss. Brilliant typical of fisher price never disappointing.

very good :). my 14 month old loves it :) and so do I ^_^

Forced changes are terrible.. My autistic daughter loved the original app, was begging to imitate noises and finally starting to get a voice! However she will not touch the new app and since the old app is no longer available, she has lost the progress she was making. 0 stars fisher price! You have ruined a little girl’s favourite activity.

Awesome. Saved me so many times when I've forgotten to bring something for my 14 mnth old thanks :)

Adorable!!. This app is so cute and perfect for when my 18mth old is insisting on his turn. No annoying pop ups and no buttons for baby to accidentally press. Great work Fisher-Price and thanks for the freebie 

Stops working. My son plays this app but after so many “plays” it stops working. I have tried to buy it and I can’t or it just won’t let me or if I try to sign in so he can use the app it says there is a custom error in the mapping template. Not a clue what that even means. Why make an app that you can pay for and not even be able to pay or do anything. Worst app to try and use ever. Won’t be telling anyone about this.

Very annoying. By putting all the apps into one it misses out on so much my children enjoyed they hate this new app

Absolute garbage. This app wit even load. Garbage!

Excellent. Works great with the new updates, animals don't disappear when you tap the screen with its changing backgrounds.

Garbage. This is an entire step back. It is ridiculous that you REMOVED access to the apps we already had that worked. Utter garbage.

Great. My 11month old loves it!

This app doesn't work. This app won't open past the welcome screen.

No sound. No sound and its called animal sounds!

Fix please. Only have sound a third of the time.

Perfect. My daughter loves playing this game in the car. Easy for very Young babies.

Wish we could keep playing this!!. Please update so we can keep using it!!

Bring back other apps. This app is ok but we enjoyed the other ones a lot more. Thanks for making learning fun! Would love to get the vehicle see n’ say as well.

Please bring back the old ABC game. This game taught my not even 2 year old all her letter recognition! I haven’t been able to find anything like it. Please bring it back

Worst app. Made my boy cry no sound. Fix your crap wasted data.

No sound?? It used to work fine!. My son LOVES this app however there have been sound issues with all fisher price apps in the past week Please fix them !!

Great App!. My 9 month old niece loves this app! She's been playing with it for months now. I love how when it's gone through all the animals, it starts over again! Keeps her occupied for quite a while! Love it!!

What the. I had this app before on another phone but now it won't download it's very frustrating!!

Disappeared. Laugh and Learn Animal Sounds does not seem to be available for recent iOS update. Too bad.

Should have left it alone. Other apps were much better. Try explaining to a child why they can’t play favourite games anymore. At least put the old apps in the new one. So disappointed

Mom. It worked at first and had wonderful sounds and my son loved it- bit the sound stopped working :(

So annoying. No sound!

Baby loves it!. Perfect!

No sound. Is there a fix for this?

Great. My 2yr old son loved it

No sound!. My baby loves the app but the sound suddenly went away! Deleted and downloaded again and still no sound.

.. Just got the app and no sound! Please fix this problem asap.

Would be cute.... If it had sound!! Very disappointing!!

Bring back the old apps. Thank you, Fisher Price for the meltdown we endured this morning when his First Words and other FP apps stopped working. This one is alright, but no where near as entertaining or captivating for him as the old ones. Also, I want to know who had the brilliant idea of putting the drag and drop Little People stickers right where you drag to access the iPhone menu. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

No sound again. This is probably the 5th FP app I've downloaded without sound. Lame.

Baby really like this app!. My baby really likes this app and the pictures are cute and the sounds aren't annoying :)

Storybook 1 + 2 Learn and Play. I work with a variety of children with special needs that have greatly benefited from the Storybook 1 + 2 Learn and Play App in order to achieve a variety of goals and skill sets. It is very disappointing to see these options removed on the new App. You cannot explain to these kids why their favorite- and sometimes only motivator- is not available anymore. We are in a pandemic and anything that is comforting and familiar will help to self-regulate them. Please consider bringing this option back.

Does not work. Love all their apps but none of them work after updating the iOS!! Pls update!!

what's happening with fp apps ??. Another one with no sound !!!

App Does Not Work. On my iPad the game won’t load anything, just gives a message about something going wrong. On my phone it loads a few things, doesn’t play them all though, and constantly shows a message about something going wrong. Both devices are fully up to date. This is an app issue not working at all.

No ads. Thank you for having a kid friendly free app to occupy my toddler without having to worry about him opening up the ads posted!! So much win!

Amazing!!. We play this in the car for our baby and she instantly stops crying

Wow!!. My 1 year old fell in love with the app in a second

Needs an update. Will no longer load.

Needs work. 64bit support and retina graphics please

Great but issues. My 8 month girl loves watching it but the pictures of the animals disappear after the 2 different songs. It happens 70% of the time so I have to restart it to get the pictures back. The background is fine but no animals and I've tried it on my wife's iPhone and iPad with the same issues. Same goes with the other 2 free apps. Please update and fix.

Cuts out!!!. There must be a bug in this app !! It keeps cutting out while my granddaughter is playing it

Awesome. They brought back the puppy and farm animals. Glad to see they read feedback and kid liked it a lot thanks guys

You got rid of the fun stuff. Why? Also, what is with the 3d animated stuff? I want shapes back and Monkey and all the rhymes, also, a bunch of the videos are linked to the same video- so most of those are missing too.

No sound ???. I don't have any sound and I see that I'm not the only one with this problem. Too bad because my little guy would have loved this!

Cute!. It's a simple app but my LO loves it! So easy for her to use and she loves the animals!!

Waste of time!!!. No sound!! Super annoying!! Waste of a download - not one FP download has sound

Wow. My 4 months old love watching the fisher price's apps! Can't believe it!

No sound. Downloaded the app for Iphone 4S, no sound. A little disappointed.

No sound. No sound

Loves it!. Don't know I have the sound, unlike other reviews... I got no problems at all! This app keeps my son busy!

No sound. Again, no sound on my iPhone 5.

Missing. It isn’t there. Little brother is missing out on a great experience his sister got to have. Very disappointing. The stuff on this app is appropriate for big sister. That gets a better star rating. :)

Where is the zebra?. I don’t have a review so much as a question. In the menu, for the Level 2 section, there is a picture of a zebra head, but when you go into that level there is no zebra to be found. I have an iPad and iPhone and it isn’t on either. Where is it? My stepdaughter is always looking for it and I’ve looked everywhere (tapped all the little special hidden elements) and can’t find it!

Love!. My 1 year old daughter has been playing with this app since she was about 6 months old. She loves all the animals, the sounds they make, and the miniature songs. Very easy for her to play with since all she has to do is tap the screen. I've never had any problems with this app freezing or anything else. Highly recommended!

Why?!. My autistic son loved the simplistic cause and effect of the previous shapes and colors app. That was the main app he would play with and now he doesn’t have it anymore. This app is supposed to be better? I don’t know who’s in charge of making decisions on these apps in your company but they don’t know what they’re doing. All of these other parents writing reviews apparently feel the same way. Don’t bother responding with some scripted answer. Instead take what tiny amount of energy you would have used for that to bring back the old apps!

It's Okay....But!!!. I downloaded this on my phone for my 1 year old nephew and he loves it. However, this app would so much better if there were more animals. There are so many other animals that you guys can include into this app. So can we please get a new update that includes more animals because he gets bored pretty fast after seeing the same thing over and over again.

Update for the littler babies!. My 6 month old daughter loves this app in her Apptivity Monkey but she hasn't quite figured out how to push the screen to make it switch to the next animal. It would be the PERFECT APP if it had an autoplay function that continuously went through each of the animals and songs. Thanks Fisher-Price - keep making more!!!

BEST baby app!. My 11-month old loves this app! We have all of the fisher-price apps, but this is the one that he will sit and watch and play over and over. All he has to do is touch the screen for the next animal to pop up. He claps his hands to the music and loves when it is time to see the monkey! I am trying to find more apps like it, but struggling.

Please please fix it!!!!!!!. My 3 month old absolutely loved this app until it stopped working other day she cries on the other apps and only wants to swipe and play this app. She talks to animals and tries make growl noise like bear!! Please please fix this so it can work without Internet as it did before on my phone! Please. If it works again it would be a 5 star app all the way

Where did all the original sing-along ones go?. I have never written a review in the App Store, but I will write one for this “new” app. The old Fisher Price app had several sing-along songs that I’ve used with at least two of my small children over the past couple of years. “Itsy Bitsy Spider” was a favorite and it was even cooler that they could interact with the scenes. Now all of these songs appear to be gone. If I’m wrong and they are still there but I just have to dig for them, I will change my review. But from what I’ve seen, I definitely do not like the changes made to this app if they completely got rid of the original sing-along songs.

My little one is mad!. I’ve had the original puppy app for 5 years (since my first child ). It helped her learn her shapes, colors, and numbers. The app was easy for young toddlers to use and interactive so they can learn/play at their own speed. My second child (now approaching 2 years) loved the old app as well. She has zero interest in these new videos. ZERO. She’s gets so upset because she wants to play the old interactive games. Why get rid of the old games? Just dash them away with no replacement? These videos are not interactive, the activities that are interactive are long and boring. There is nothing of use for the youngest learners. Nothing. I want the old app back!

My 15mo old loves this app!. By now, my son has figured out how to swipe over to the screen on my iPhone that holds all of HIS apps. He fusses at me to pick one and he very much enjoys this one! He knows to tap to get to the next one and can actually entertain himself for a while if I'm making dinner or something. Mostly, we play with this together after bath time. Highly recommended.

Bring back the apps. I understand wanting to merge everything conveniently into one app....but that isn’t what has happened. They’ve blocked all the original apps from being used, saying they’ve moved into this app, but they haven’t. My 1 year old loved the First Words app with the blocks — they’ve now only placed in videos. My now 3 year old loved the videos...but that was before I discovered the interactive learning games. Point being, the Devs really need to incorporate the old apps into this new hub.

Meh. Bring back old app!. I’m trying to figure out who they made this app for? Bc it’s definitely not as toddler friendly as the app was before they “upgraded”. My two oldest daughters learned so much from the older version of the app they’re 6 and 4 now and still remember some of the songs. This app now is just trash. Bring back the ABC Monkey and animals please. I’m not surprised to see the other parents feel the same way. I hope that you will listen to your customers.

This app used to be amazing.. This app used to be amazing. My daughter has loved the app since she was 4 months old. It's how she learned to say many animal names. Now she can no longer play with it since the new update. I wish I could remove the update and go back to the original version. Why would you put arrows on an app for babies and toddlers?! Also, they cannot hold it horizontal! Why would you change the app to horizontal? I am so disappointed with the change you've made and so is my daughter.

Animal sounds for Baby. It's a great app, my daughter loves it and I love it too. This version is even more responsive to the tilt and shake features and I don't have to tap the screen for her anymore to change the animals. I can't wait for the Fisher-Price iCan play case to be available. Well worth the download.

The old fisher price puppy ABC/123 apps were better, this is not it!. My 2 year old used to love the old puppy apps and now they’re gone. My daughter used to always click the fisher price puppy app and open it on her own and loved tapping the screen to identify puppy’s ears or nose. Now when I open this app for her she taps on the corner to exit the app or press the home button on the iPad to get out of it. I don’t know why you would get rid of such great apps for this subpar modification. Bring back the old games and put it in this one! They were much more interactive.

Bring back the old apps!. My special needs 5 year old adored your storybook apps and one day they were all gone. It was the saddest day/month in the world for my little guy. This app is horrible and I have no idea why you would switch from all your awesome apps to this joke. It's seriously made me not want to buy your toys for my kids anymore because my son gets mad the app crashes all the time. Why???? If you need money I'm sure people would pay to get the old apps back, I definitely would!

Not interactive enough or engaging. Please bring back the old fisher price game apps! The new app is horrible. It’s not nearly as interactive or engaging. It’s too busy and slow. We’ve had the other apps between our two kids for 6 years. I do lots of kids and baby product reviews for lots of companies. This app is bad. Please at least being back the apps that don’t have an attempted counterpart on the new app, like the “shapes and colors” piano one. My kids have zero interest in this one. There may have been tears when the old ones stopped working.

My Daughter LOVES this!. I have been struggling to find something that my 2yo can click through while we are homeschooling my son! This has been a lifesaver. She lover the songs and the characters. I love the fact that she is singing the alphabet song and learning numbers and colors!! THANK YOU

I miss the old apps. This app is so disappointing. It doesn’t have any of the old app activities that he loved, and the new activities are really boring to kid his age. The old apps were perfect for him; they responded to every touch of the screen and every jostle of the phone. I’m so sad they took the apps away. The new activities require him to be better at operating a touch screen than he is, and most of the “activities” are just videos. He has plenty of videos to watch. He loves actually being able to interact with apps and see them respond to him like the old apps did.

Baby can no longer use app. My previous review was deleted so I'm trying this again. My review is similar to that of the others. The previous version allowed you to move from one animal to the next by touching anywhere on the screen. The new version only allows you to move to the next animal by clicking on the small arrows on the edges of the screen. This is too difficult for a baby. Also, the landscape-only view doesn't work well for my baby because it's harder for her to hold the phone that way. This app was the perfect distraction during diaper changes or to get her to calm down. Now she can't use it on her own.

Wish the other app was available for download. I never rate on apps but the last app was way better my kiddo that’s now 5 loved it and played it all the time my now 2 year old plays this but it is a lot harder for both kids to navigate compared to the previous app to the point we barley get on this app as much as I would like to...my kids are obsessed with puppy sis and friends and the older app was just more kid friendly for them to play by themselves

Changed the app completely.. I kept on getting notification that they were going to make updates and improve the app. They totally changed it not for the better. My girl was learning animal sounds and now they have nothing related to it and it’s different 100%. They added videos to think that would make them learn. I’m sorry but everything about this app disappoints me. I want my child to interact with the app and press buttons to learn. Not watch a video!!! Everything about this app changed for the worse. Don’t tell me your improving my current app and end up changing it to this crap.

My sons favorite!. This app is the only one my son will play with for more than 15 seconds. He loves it!!! I've tried over 10 others and they don't play music while he learns, which he loves the music. It's also easy for him to go to the next word, even when he was just 5 months old. Every child is different so just because one doesn't like it, doesn't mean it's bad.

Update was a bummer. My daughter is 1 and we don’t typically like allowing her screen time. The old apps were great though because she was sorting and actually learning things. With the update, she became very frustrated because it doesn’t really “do” anything like the old apps. We bought the Toya Tap bundle and although it’s not what we had before, she enjoys it and learns from it like the fisher price apps she had before. Very disappointed in this update and hope they reconsider. Until then, we spent our money elsewhere....

Life saver. This app is the only thing that keeps my son occupied during breathing treatments. Even in the middle of the night when he was hospitalized at 5 months the respiratory therapist couldn't believe how well he sat still. At 8 months this is still a life saver!

Miss the Storybook Apps!. Hello- I just wanted to let you know how disappointed I am that you’ve discontinued the Storybook Apps. First, my 2 year old son loved them. Second, I am a Speech Language Pathologist who used the app frequently for early intervention, as well as cause-effect, and AAC trials for non-verbal kids. Please bring them back. The new app completely overlooks 2-4 year olds and does not set you apart from the rest. In fact, for 4 yr olds, I would recommend Khan Academy Kids over your new app. Did you consult any childhood development professionals or educators in making this decision? Hoping for a return of the Storybooks. Thank you.

Too complicated for Toddlers. Update: Thank you for the non-reply. You’re missing the point. You removed a perfect game for young toddlers to introduce something that’s targeted for a much older child. I don’t have an issue with “change” I am disappointed you removed a good game and replaced it with crap. My toddler used to love all the Fischer price apps especially the Animals one. Since animals was removed I tried introducing this app and it just makes my 2 year old cry because she gets lost on the home area. Disappointing. Bring Animals back it was perfect for young toddlers!!!

Not as good as the old Apps. Horrible!. My kiddos loved all the old apps, the nursery rhymes and the touch a block and it told them what it was, was their favorite! Would keep them busy for a long time. The sound effects and animation were so engaging to them. This app Is boring and the sounds are not as good, the shapes and letters don’t do much to keep them engaged. This new one is to hard for the little ones to understand. Disappointed that the old apps. We’re not incorporated into this new app!!! Especially for kiddos who have enjoyed these all along.

Super cute. This is so cute!! My 2 yr old and 10 month old love seeing the animals an dance to the songs. One thing is after the first song sometimes the next animal won't show up even though we hear the noise but I just restart the app and it works great again

Worst change ever. Your developers must be the stupidest people ever. My son loved almost all your original apps only to change it to complete garbage while not keeping any of the old stuff that he loved. Thanks for literally ruining some off my son’s favorite daily routines. You morons should seriously be embarrassed with your “not” great ideas. You need to hire the original genius back and fire the moron that now heads the app development department. If I could rate this negative stars, I would rate this change from old and the new content a minus infinity. Sincerely, A Father and Mother of a 4 year old playing these apps for the last two years.

LO loves it!. I got this app when my LO turned 6 months. She has been loving it ever since. It would calm her down when she was fussy at 7 months. She is 9 months now and She gets excited starting at the opening screen! Very cute. I wish there is another version that has more animals. I wouldn't mind purchasing it.

Where is Itsy Bitsy Spider? New version is BAD!!. This new app is horrible! Where are the Storybooks with Itsy Bitsy Spider and Row Your Boat? Looks like Fisher Price has sold out to the aptly named HOMER company that has robbed those of us who had previously downloaded the FP Puppy apps and replaced it with this inferior junk! I have a new grand baby and this morning when I went to play the Itsy Bitsy Spider storybook app that all my other grand kids have LOVED I was so disappointed to find out it had been hijacked by this awful app. You click on sing along songs and get one stupid song. I assume this will earn the canned response about having to say goodbye to beloved apps. Not cool. I want back what you took from me!

Freezes. My one year old loves this app! I would have given it 5 stars but it doesn't have enough variety, so she tires of it in less than 10 minutes, and the screen freezes! I have the new Fisher Price Apptivity Case and have to constantly take the iPhone out to exit out of the app; it's the only way to get out of the frozen screen. However, I do wish Fisher Price would put more of these baby game apps out there. I have all three, but like I said, the lack of variety in the games make my child get bored of it quickly.

WHY ON EARTH DID THEY GET RID OF OLD APPS!. This new updated app is terrible. My 3yo NON VERBAL autistic son LOVED the old apps, especially the first words blocks and “where’s puppys___” as it was helping teach him body parts. I didn’t care about having a new app but to promise all the other games would be in it is foolish when they aren’t! This new app is boring .. he make watches the weird videos and tries to play those stupid “games”. It’s absolutely nothing to do up there. just don’t understand ..If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it! Deleting ASAP! Thanks A lot for a very pointless “upgrade” that feels more like a downgrade. The one thing I could get my son to do on screen/technology wise vs watch Mickey!

Great app!. I use this whenever my 1 1/2 yr old niece gets restless. Works like a charm! It's so cute to watch her try to make the frog and bear sounds. For those not getting sound, it happens every once in a while, but just shut it down and restart it again. If you have a child or niece/nephew, you DON'T wanna pass on this because of a few kinks!

Very disappointed. PLEASE BRING THE OLD APPS BACK! I have a 6 year old and and 2 year old. We have used the story book fisher price apps along with the ABC and 123, First Words Fun and shapes. My kids have played these since they could first use an iPad or iPhone and they were great tools for teaching. My 2 year old is VERY upset he can’t play these original apps anymore and cares nothing for this “new and improved” app. Total disappointment and thanks for all the tears of my 2 year old that doesn’t understand. They were literally the only apps he ever played. I would GLADLY pay just to get these apps back. If I could give zero stars I would.

Not happy. I’m not liking this new and improved app at all! Like a previous poster said, they have blocked all the previous apps; they have not merged them at all. My granddaughter loved all the songs and the storybooks. She is non-verbal and she really enjoyed the songs. It was about the only time she would come out of her shell. She likes the videos, just not as much as the storybooks where she could interact with the activity. If I could give this zero stars on the new combined app I would. Just really disappointed as she really enjoyed puppy and sis and the other characters.

Nope. The apps my son used every day are now gone, which is ridiculous, and were replaced with this nonsense. When he clicks on the stickers and a couple others, it says “blocked” and he can’t even access it. I’ve adjusted literally every possible setting and it is still mysteriously “blocked”. Maybe you all should listen to all the negative reviews you’re receiving and bring back the apps your customers actually LIKE and do away with ones that are just garbage (this one). Do these reviews mean/do anything? Unlikely.

Favorite for 15 mo. Daughter loves the app - dances to song, tries to repeat animal names and sounds. Good for 15 mo old who needs tunes and constant animation to keep her entertained. It's easy to use and never ends unless u exit app. Improvement suggestion: re-launching app would take u where u left off because babies like to press the phone's home button which exits you out of app. When u re-launch, it always starts over.

Really helps during diaper changes!. Our 12 month old daughter hates having her dipe changed but if I give her my phone with this app on, there is very little crying! Yay! It comes in handy any time I want to distract her for a few minutes - works for about 5 minutes straight which is fantastic! I have no trouble with sound. It works perfectly.

The best !!. Of all the games I have tried, this game doesnt have buttons that the little fingers can push to take them to other things they shouldn't be in. My son loves it and has been able to play this and switch to different animals on his own at 8months. He is a 14 months old and still loves it. Great to help with coordination too !! Thanks

Good game for 2 year olds. We made The switch from the first app . It was hard for my daughter at first because she loved the first one , but she loves the games on here and all the songs I love watching here learn how to play the games , she plays the games on this app every day it’s the first one she will open.

Wonderful App. Downloaded this app when my son was 10 months old. He is now 19 months and can say every animals name on this app. It's amazing to see this app capture his attention and how much he has learned from it. Every time he sees a duck somewhere else (Even a cartoon duck!) he yells "Duck"!! Definitely going to be downloading the rest of the apps now! Even bought the Apptivity Case for him for Christmas!

Tip for volume. I downloaded these fisher-price apps for my baby and I had no volume on them. It took me a few minutes and noticed my cell phone was on vibrate. I turned the ringer back and it worked! The app is super cute and I think the baby will enjoy. Since so many people posted they had no volume I thought I'd post how I got mine to work.

My son is obsessed. After downloading app after app to find something that will hold his attention this was the one. He loves the art style, colors and sounds! It’s always making him laugh and helped him a lot with his speech, counting and color recognition. Great app all around for you and your young one.

Please offer update to fix bugs. I have had this app for at least 6 months and from day one it can't go through all the animals more than twice without messing up. You can hear the animal but there's no animal on the screen and the tap feature stops working. If I don't realize this in time my 11 month old will become frustrated and throw my iPhone on the floor. Both my other fisher-price apps do this as well. Very disappointed they haven't offered a solution.

Hate the change. My almost 2 year old daughter used to love this app; the songs, the games, all of it — now she clicks on it and then throws a royal fit because she hates the new change then cries because she wants puppy. There is not a single thing on the new app that she likes. Ultimately we’ve discontinued and deleted it from her device and started using bimi boo instead. Hopefully you can bring back some of the old content before she’s too old to appreciate it.

Great entertainment. My little guy loves this app. Got it when he was 12 months and he's since learned how to tap the screen to move to the next animal. He mimics the animal sounds and giggles at the different songs. Engaging. Good for keeping the attention of a toddler. No problems with the sound.

My kid can’t use it anymore. *Please don’t delete my review* The landscape version and arrows make it impossible for a toddler to use. It was so nice to have something for my kid to play with and now it’s a nuisance. We can’t even use the “Black and White, Contrast color and Peek n Play” apps anymore which were the best apps Fisher Price had for babies, for whatever reasons they were deleted from the Apple store and won’t work with iOS 11. And now this one and “Let’s Count” are impossible for babies and young toddlers to use. Everything changed. Please change things back, otherwise we can’t use these apps.

SO good!. My little one only gets App time if we are on a trip longer than an hour but when she does she is ALL OVER this App. She smiles and laughs her way through each animal that passes by and she already knows how to swipe through it. Good for at least 20 mins of game time even though the whole animal rotation takes about 30 secs and there are just 2 or 3 animal cycles. But seriously enjoyable.
