Subscription Blues. Love the print version, but the app? No. There was a mixup with my print subscription after I signed up at Vogue Knitting Live NY in January & the delay had me miss my first issue. The issue was later resolved, but now I’m unable to to logon to the app. It tells me my subscription is expired and/or they don’t have me email address on file. I can’t even look at the current issue which is still part of my subscription. If an app could be considered rude, this on would be it.

Poor App design. Fall2020 not shown as available so will not load. Previous issues were noted to download when available.

Rotten app. For a large corporation that has received lots of money from me in the past, this is THE WORST app I have ever tried to use. In the past I have enjoyed using the VOGUE patterns, but now I intend to avoid ALL of their patterns, even the magazine versions. I am quite shocked that VOGUE would offer such a frustrating and useless application to their long-time fans.

Bad to worse. I bought a physical copy and a digital copy of a past issue. I have an active subscription to the print magazine. The app hasn’t worked for awhile. Now I have to purchase a subscription to access the digital content I already purchased? If I wasn’t half way through the project I would delete the app. As it is, this is the last Vogue Knitting project I do. You don’t get to sell subscriptions to digital content previously purchased outright. I will be reporting this to Apple and anyone else I can find.

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. I paid for this magazine for 8 years. When you stop your subscription you no longer have access to the magazines for which you paid!!! You can get them back….but it will cost you another years subscription!!! Zero stars

Went from OK to horrible. I used to use this app regularly Then it was ‘updated’ to something horrible. I have to be a current subscriber to even SEE my past issues. And you are asked to make a second log in to Maz. The app can’t find my subscription. And Maz has one tech to ‘help’. The digital copies now show up WEEKS after the mailed issues. And those are just the issues with initial log in. Once in the app you can no longer see past issues without ‘scrolling’ through covers that don’t load quickly.

Useful only as a preview to hard copy. I like using this app to see new issues before the hard copy arrives in my mailbox. Otherwise it’s pretty useless. You can’t print anything other than little snippets of text and the links in the resource tab are broken (stitchionary, stitch workshop, how to, etc). It seems pretty clear that nobody at Vougue is using this app nor cares about customer service.

Getting worse, much worse. This latest version of the app is HORRIBLE. Gone is the convenient ‘editions’ view where you can see pages showing tiles of the magazine covers and their availability and select one. Now we have something called ‘magazines’ that forces you to scroll through the covers ONE AT A TIME (with several of them being blank because they take too long to load). There are probably about 60 magazines here. One at a time. Really? What a waste of time! I’m better off going to my bookshelf. And we can no longer scroll through the magazine. Now we must look at a menu of articles and open them, ONE AT A TIME. Are you kidding me? There’s a huge banner ad at the top of the main page. Once you’ve seen it, what’s the point of keeping it there? It just gets in the way of what you’re trying to do, which is look at virtual magazines. Especially if we already own the advertised book. It used to be a pleasure to browse through the virtual magazines on my tablet, but this is torture. Back to the hard copies! I’m trying to think of at least one positive thing to say, but honestly, all of the convince and appeal is gone. Is it possible to install an old version? VK, the least you could do is allow users to select the view that suits us so that we could use the app without it getting in the way of what we’re trying to accomplish. Please be respectful of our time.

Entirely Unintuitive and Bad Experience. VK is probably the most frustrating app I’ve ever used, and it’s a struggle every time to just look at magazine articles. I always end up in a viscous cycle of logging in and finding everything locked, needing to change the PW and “Restore” does not find everything I’m entitled to. How about a saved library for easy access to purchases? Does not deserve even a single star since I’ve NEVER had a good experience with it. Every time I open it I go away angry and unsatisfied, and I’m not stupid nor a tech newbie.

Buyer Beware!. Zero support. I made the mistake of renewing my digital subscription of several years with a combo print/digital subscription. I lost all those years of back issues on digital - the app says I’m not subscribed. Contacted support and was told to reset password. Didn’t help. Recontacted support and crickets….waste of money. Just get the print version, if you want it. I’m no longer a fan.

Broken and unresponsive tech and customer support teams. After finding out the fall issue is available but not in the app, I submitted a ticket to the tech support team. After two weeks and several follow ups, there has been no response or movement on the ticket. I also tried to come tact Vogue customer support and have received no answer. Very disappointing because Vogue is a reputable brand. I will be canceling my subscription. UPDATE - 1 Dec 20: Now that my subscription expired, I’ve lost access to issues I had under my 1 year subscription. And after two months, my ticket finally got an answer but I’ve been told to contact the publisher for this latest issue. My advice, subscribe only to the print version if you like this magazine because their electronic subscriptions are worthless unless you keep renewing, which I will not.

I wish I could leave zero stars. My subscription just renewed, and I can’t download the current issue, much less my previous purchases! Vogue, I just cancelled this subscription, although I realize I won’t get my money back. This hideous app has just lost a subscriber, and most likely a reader, for you. Ugh!!! Thanks for nothing.

Don’t do it!. I am a huge fan of Vogue Knitting magazine so I decided to get the digital subscription when my print one expired. It took two months of back and forth with customer service just to get my first issue. I have continued to have problems through my entire subscription and just recently requested to have it switched to print. Customer service was awful! I had to email multiple times just to get a response and it was always a brief “we’re working on it”. I tried calling as well and would have to leave several voicemails before I would ever get a response. Even after requesting specifics as to the problems they never actually answered my questions and would just say that they were sorry and were trying to resolve it. Just don’t do it! Stick to the print version!

Crashing. Very frustrating app. It crashes constantly, making it impossible to use for knitting. And I agree with the other reviewers that they should allow a look into the issue so you can decide if you want to purchase it. I also would appreciate the ability to bookmark a pattern or article I want to refer to at a later date. The new app is even worse! Can’t navigate between pages not read the magazine cover to cover. Very frustrating indeed. Worthless. Hope they fix this!

Terrible app! Neglected by Publisher. Hard to believe to believe Vogue Knitting is okay damaging it’s brand by totally neglecting the app. According to the developer the most recent issue has not been “uploaded by the publisher.” The print version was published Dec. 29, 2020. The “weekly update” is the same as was when I subscribed months ago. Vogue Knitting does not respond to inquiries.

Not getting what I paid for, terrible service. My digital subscription is paid up through May 2021 but I have not received the latest edition and Fall 2020 has now disappeared from the app. No response from emails to Vogue. Cancelling my subscription but from May but no way to get my money back for editions I have not had.

Loses purchases, poor tech support. The Vogue Knitting app denied access to an issue I already purchased, and had even downloaded to my iPad. I tried their Restore Purchases setting, which did not work. I used their contact form to email tech support, explaining that I had already used Restore Purchases. Five days later, I received an email telling me how to use Restore Purchases (which I had told them I had done), and stating that if that didn’t work they couldn’t offer any assistance. The patterns are good, if you can access them.

Impossible to get subscription support. My September 2020 renewal resulted in my receiving no new issues and I was cut off from the two previous issues. Support for subscribers is by email only and the responses are all templates, no helpful or valid info. I’m trying to get a refund through iTunes.

Theft and Fraud. I thought that Vogue would be a trustworthy vendor. However they have stolen all of my magazine content and books that I purchased. After calling customer service they told me they do not know anything about the digital platforms. Apple this app should be removed from the App Store. And I would love it if you would take responsibility for seeing that my purchased content was returned or my money returned.

Absolutely horrible app and app support.. Vogue Knitting = Good App for digital version of Vogue Knitting = Very Bad. I have been a subscriber for several years, and buy the subscription to the physical magazine and the digital magazine. It was working good, then recently, something happened to the app. Somehow, it has been paused. My subscription is still active until Sept 2025. It’s been a week and the tech support for the app has done nothing to fix the problem. The Vogue Knitting Customer Support even sent their app support an email stating that my account is active and does not expire until 2025. Still, the app does not work. Vogue Knitting get’s 5 stars, the app for the digital version of Vogue Knitting gets -100 stars (minus 5 stars, twenty times). The idiot who is the app developer’s tech support gets -1000 stars, fired, and sent back to school to hopefully learn a trade he can be useful in.

Do not subscribe!. As a follow-up the my original review—do not subscribe to this magazine. You will not receive what you purchase. I have tried to contact them via email, phone, message through the app, and their Facebook page. They do not respond. The current issue of the magazine has been released, and even though I have paid through 7/21, I cannot access it. The developer has been responsive, but they direct me back to the magazine. Do not waste your money on this, because you will receive nothing! Vogue Knitting Magazine announced earlier this year that they would be cutting back to two issues per year. In view of the current economic situation, I completely understand this. However, I would have appreciated an email from the magazine letting me know about this. I had to Google it online to find out what was happening. Now I am unable to access the new issue which is just come out for fall 2020. I get no response to my questions about this. My subscription is paid through July 2021. This should not be happening.. Buyer beware.

So horrible, I wrote my first review. Absolutely worthless. It’s a non-functional app. I can see magazine covers, sometimes even titles of articles, but no actual content. Part of the reason I subscribed to the print edition of the magazine was to have the app access. I feel tricked. Also very frustrated from trying to get it to work. Delete.

Always there. I absolutely love having inspiration and information right there— in the yarn shop, waiting in line, midnight moments. Having the pattern always there is such a luxury. Thanks, Vogue.

Horrible customer service. As others have said the Fall 2020 issue has never been loaded into the app. We paid for it but they according to the app developer Vogue hasn’t loaded Fall 2020 into the app. Called Vogue and left 2 messages but it still hasn’t been loaded into the app.

Switching. Vogue apps on my iPad and I have purchased several of the older magazines. Since I’ve only been knitting a couple of years I missed them when the 1st came out. I have no trouble accessing them on my iPad or on the phone I had until 2 weeks ago but I can’t access them on this phone.

Cannot access app/no app support. I just subscribed. I have the confirmation email from Apple. Could not log in on my iPad and accidentally logged myself out on my iPhone. App says my email is not recognized. Tried to ask developer for app support but my email isn’t being recognized so request won’t send.

SO disappointed. I have to agree with other bad reviews. I would give a negative rating of I could. I used to love the ease of access to past issues and being able to send myself a single pattern. I've had issues with this app the last couple of years. This latest update is pitiful. When you tap on the article there's a black screen until you tap on text. It took me 2 months to get access to the patterns I paid for 8 years ago. The tech support is not good either.

Needs work. I wish this app would let me print patterns. I also liked the app before they changed it.

Terrible. Would rate with no stars, but will not let me submit without entering one star! Cannot see an entire page because of the lower feed of pages and when I tried to send the page to myself, I didn’t get the page just an ad for the app, I have the app!!

HORRIBLE APP. I have been a subscriber to Vogue Knitting since the 1960’s and have EVERY issue. Was so excited when I was able to do things easily. Another case of let’s fix it till is BROKE and DOES NOT WORK!! I can no longer print my pattern to work off of and write notes... what’s up with that. Apparently whoever the brain trust is behind this app is not a knitter!

Stick with print version. There was a 3 day lapse in renewing my subscription, due to a lost credit card number that had to be updated. Prior to that, I had access to every issue back to 2009. Now I have access to the current issue only - unless I am willing to purchase every issue again, individually. It took 5 calls to reach customer service to renew the subscription; they are not returning my calls/emails to unlock the previous issues.

Broken with Zero Support. Credentials from publisher aren’t recognized, and publisher points to app creator, who just closes tickets (looking at you, Vikas). When pressed, tech support says to contact publisher, who immediately replies instructing to contact tech. I’ve had subscriptions to VK for 20+ years, and reactivated for app access. The $40 (or whatever the 2-year subscription fee ) is the last VK will ever get from me based on the fact that evidently they lie now. It’s impressive they’re doing so well publishing paper that they’re able to disregard customers.

A knitting magazine that wont allow printing. Any knitter or crafter realizes how serious an issue that is. I respect the effirt to protect the material, but i need to be able to print the instructions and write notes on the document! You cant print it. You cant email it. You cant transfer it. This app is useless at tge moment. I think i will let my subscription expire and buy piecemeal paper copies as needed.

No customer service. I feel the same. For 27$ you can have the printed and the app included. However the reverse cannot not happen because customer service is not really interested in customer service. Based on their photo, I think they hired high schoolers In short I must pay both subscription prices....since that is what the records indicate!

No access to what you paid for. Vogue Knitting was the magazine I looked to for techniques, fashion and the ability to wear knit/crochet garments from the best designers. When the app came out, I was excited to have the issues available on demand. Sometime around early 2020 strange and unexpected changes were made. My subscription ran out late last year and imagine my shock to learn that the issues I had already paid for were not accessible - unless I bought another subscription! Seriously Vogue? Nothing about this is mentioned in their own FAQ and forget customer service. As others have mentioned, the communication channel is non-existent. Don’t waste your time or money.

Poorly sustained purchases. Subscribed to Vogue Knitting for some time but when the App updated all my downloaded issues were lost. Don’t recommend this App. Every time I tried to post this the nickname was taken. Went through many to get it posted. Surprise, surprise. Wonder if it would have been as difficult if my score was 5 stars.

Is Vogue Knitting still supporting this app?. The latest issue has been on the stands a while yet is still not available on this app. I can view all of the issues that are available on the app but it is clunky and difficult to maneuver. I feel very cheated. Do not subscribe to this. It is cheaper to order a print subscription.

Poor Design & Difficult to Read. The old version of Vogue Knitting was easy to read, easy to copy a pattern so that one could make notes as they knitted each section of garment. This new version is not knitter friendly and should be Redesigned by people who actually knit!

This App Won’t Download on my IPadPro. So I just subscribed to Vogue Knitting which is supposed to give me both paper and online issues. Not only have I not received an email confirmation (2 days now) of my order, I can’t get this app to download on my iPad Pro. It’s there, it says download, and then it won’t. Does anything work with Vogue Knitting?

Theft of merchandise. Another great digital magazine DESTROYED by a company called Maz who takes over running them and then kills them. I have about 10 years of digital copies of Vogue Knitting that I can no longer access. THESE WERE ALL PAID FOR and I can no longer access them. I ❤️❤️❤️ Vogue Knitting but don’t give a penny to this app. UPDATED: I continue to have the same problem with the new provider. I have paid for YEARS of issues that are locked for me. Why isn’t this considered theft?

VK is unresponsive to issues. Agree completely with previous review. This is a hot mess and a complete waste of time. I’ve contacted tech support to get in but that was temporary. Left email and phone messages asking for help. Nothing is ever returned. Says I’m already registered but won’t let me access even with temporary password they provide. Won’t let me register as new user. Horrible customer service!

Guve up get the paper version. The new interface wont work on older ipads and if you want to borrow someone else's ipad in your family to read the magazine you paid for, you cannot. Basically the publisher has locked you out and stolen your money, congratulations, you have been scammed.

Bad user interface. This app has the worst user experience of any of the magazine apps I have used. I have been a subscriber since it was first introduced, and the changes made a year ago have made it incredibly buggy and hard to use. The article navigation doesn’t work, the pages are unavailable in offline mode (even when it says available offline), and there is no option to view the pages side by side, meaning that half the time the text is describing something you can’t see. In addition, they have now made it impossible to export or print any of the instructions. Which for a magazine of knitting patterns is really inexcusable.

PDF. Can’t get the PDF to open in last/current issue

Think Twice - Unless you don’t mind waiting months for an issue!. I used to love this app. I would get my issue as soon as it would come out reading it before the print edition was out. Now it takes at least a month after the print issue is available to get the digital copy. And there is no support. My first email was never read if the reply was any indication. It was over a month before I received a second reply and by then I had my issue. The current issue came out weeks ago and I’m still waiting. I canceled my subscription and may do hard copy instead. Or not at all.

Winter 2020. I want to tell my knitter friends...DO NOT PICK UP THIS EDITION! You will be racing to you nearest LYS to get materials for every design. The title is WINTER FASHIONS TO LOVE, and it is true! From the front page to the back cover I saw projects and yarn I longed for. 😍 Every turn of a page I sighed. This magazine is worth every penny.

Can’t access any issues I’ve paid for. This app used to work fine, but late in 2020 I could no longer download any new issues under my subscription which does not expire until August 2021. I’ve tried to log a ticket through the app. I’ve been sent from the application developer to Vogue and back to the application developer to no avail. Now I will be making sure the subscription does not renew and lodging a complaint with Apple. Such a shame because I have enjoyed it in the past when it works but now it is just throwing away money.

Kind of useless. At least in the past, I could annotate a pattern, so it was like taking a paper pattern with me. Now, I can’t. Basically all I can do is read the magazine. I’ve tried many different ways to use their export utility, but all it does is route me back to the app. Essentially the only way to get a PDF of the pattern is if you do a screenshot.

Another goofy update. Downloaded the latest edition just fine, but the bottom of the magazine pages are covered with the ‘slides’ of all the pages. The bottom part of all the pages are inaccessible to read. Please fix.

Thieves. They steal back what you have already paid for. I was a subscriber for 2 years and I have NOTHING to show for it. A “downloaded” issue you paid for can disappear at any time. At least when you buy a hardcopy, they don’t decide after a couple of months they’ll break into your home and steal it back. DON’T BUY THROUGH THIS APP UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY LITERALLY TO GIVE AWAY. You don’t even get to KEEP the magazine. Thieves.

Lost all my previously downloaded magazines!. I used to have a subscription, but let it lapse. The old version of the app allowed me to keep and use my previously paid for magazines. Updated to the new version - and lost access to my old data! Two years worth of magazines disappeared in a flash and the app asks me for $10 per copy.

I Love this magazine. The garments are lovely, and so many patterns in each edition! I'm knitting one and its looking beautiful. The mags are well priced, and it's wonderful to buy & start reading straight away. Beautiful quality photographs, videos, quality patterns, and product provider links. But the new version has introduced some glitches , and need to be resolved.

Unable to access paid for issues - no response from magazine or app developers. Have subscribed for many years, this year 1 issue not published, no communication, understandable in current situation, however the latest issue is still not available on the app. App developers responded (thank you) that the issue had not been made available to them. Still no response from magazine publishers so I did not renew my subscription, I have now had access to all my previous purchases denied. No response from either magazine publishers or app developers.

Subscription issues lost - really not worth subscribing. I concur with previous reviewer. An issue of Vogue Knitting I bought has shown up in my bookstore but all previous editions purchased through subscription have disappeared. Impossible to contact and no resolution at this stage.

Can't print out patterns. You need to be able to print out patterns when you are working on a garment. Hopefully they will update this in the future.

All previous purchases gone. I’ve lost all my previous on line purchases. Have deleted and reinstalled app, logged in and out etc etc. The tech support is basically useless. I’m surprised that such a useless « upgrade » was launched....I can’t be the only subscriber who has these problems. And yes, I am very tech savvy....I have a PhD in engineering!

Needs work. This is a beautiful mag, but needs some fine tuning. My app keeps crashing and not all videos will load. Very frustrating! I look forward to an update to correct these flaws.

Good but should be better. It is good to have the magazine on your iPad and I like the functions for getting about quickly with small pages you can scroll through at the bottom. Very annoying that you cannot print or even send patterns to iBooks at least to print. Seems a bit lazy in the apps development to tell you to print the app by taking a snapshot which of course is not ideal at all seeing there is often 2 patterns on the one page. The pattern is what it's all about and they need either a PDF link to the pattern either directly on the magazine or linked to one online. Cheers

Can't open app. This app is not fit for purpose. It crashes every time I try to use it. Needs to be fixed.

Buyer beware!. Apparently once your app subscription ends you cannot access magazines any more! Six years of subscription totally wasted !

Needs a lot of work.. I can download single issues but when I subscribed I cannot access the sub. I am not alone as I know others have had the same problem. The support avenues through yudu, soho and Apple have not been able to fix my problem. Very unhappy.

Need to get with the times. Whilst the app functions in a satisfactory way and looks nice, it is not connected in any way to the Vogue Knitting website. So, if you have an account on the app and an account on the Vogue Knitting website they are not connected. If you purchase a digital download (digital version of the magazine) using the app, you will only be able to access it via the app, and you will not have access to it via the website and vice versa. So you will now have two separate Vogue Knitting accounts. I have many apps for digital magazines and I can access any and all downloads via both the app AND the website, with one single account. Why would Vogue Knitting have such an inconvenient app?

Doesn't work now. This app won't work since June 2017 update - please fix.

VK Knitting App. Since recent update app closes immediately after opening. Cannot access library.

What is this?. The set up of this app is ridiculous, which is a pity because the mag is great. I bought one issue and it’s 1) tough to navigate to - you have to scroll through the latest issues to get to it - and 2) you can’t download it. What’s the actual point? Who created this app? Not a knitter, we’re logical folk who love good design.

Don’t subscribe. I have been a subscriber to Vogue Knitting for about 20 years. The app seemed like a good idea, saving paper etc. I now have about 10 years of digital copies, but when I ended my subscription, I lost access to the magazines that I have paid for. If I want to access them, I have to pay another subscription fee. I’m not sure this is legal.

Where have my subscriptions gone?. Come on guys!! this is a rip off. My subscriptions have disappeared. Not happy and will let other knitter know.

App not opening after update. Needs fixing after latest update as app doesn't open

What a terrible app.. When you download magazines from this app, there is no way to save the content to iBooks or as a PDF on your device. I have had several emails with the developer who keeps sending instructions for me to restore purchases. This is not the issue and it appears to be a cut and paste response which does not address the problem!! These are knitting patterns and you’d expect to be able to print them or save to iBooks. This is clearly a known problem and the only redress I’ve been able to get is for the Vogue team to send me a scanned PDF of the pattern instructions. Disappointing and frustrating that this glitch cannot be rectified.

Needs work. Can't at least see photos of patterns before I buy a book; very disappointing. Keeps crashing! needs work.

Vogue on the go!. I love being able to read this mag on my iPad - the pictures look so good, even on my first gen pad, that I often use this app to demonstrate magazines online. I just wish you could print from the magazine: I like to annotate patterns when I'm knitting, and the resolution on the pages you can email is too poor to read.

Print Patterns?. I love this magazine-so easy to receive, and read it digitally, but we really need to be able to print the patterns. They're virtually unusable otherwise.

Disappointing. Poor graphics, crashes all the time. Expected more from Vogue...

Too hard to get to purchased issues. It takes ages to try to scroll horizontally to get to my purchased issues. The images take a long time to load, and half the time when I try to swipe/drag across, the line of cover images jumps to the right again. Talk about "two steps forward, one step back". Also very hard to spot the ones you have purchased, because they may be shown as larger, but all the images change size (and bounce back and forwards) as you scroll. I started to feel seasick trying to find my issues to download for offline reading. I am pretty sure you used to be able to go to "my purchased items" before and see only the issues you had paid for. Obviously created with no user testing or understanding of user needs. The older version worked fine, but I suppose it didn't look "cool" enough. Well, now it looks cool, but I can't use it.

Mistakes. How can I trust the knitting instructions/charts as almost any piece I try to knit has got mistakes?! Have been using the magazine for over 3 years but now have fear to start knitting anything from the mag as instructions might be stuffed up. Again. Lost of time and frustration at seeing a pattern coming out all scewed! Vogue - tripple check charts before publishing new editions!!!

Needs work. Worked fine at first. Great reading experience. Since last update it's very very very slow to download. Additional comment: yet another ineffective update. Incredibly slow.

Vogue knitting. Was subscribed through Apple but got a note saying my subscription had been discontinued after renewing in March and now cannot access past copies that were paid for. Publishernot replying. Dont bother with this app

Very Disappointed. You get the covers and nothing else. A small collage of pictures of the main patterns would not hurt to preview if you want to purchase that copy. I'd probably buy more this way. At present I could purchase 4 issues and not like anything in any of them, and my money is wasted. And you can't save to iBooks to print. When I knit or crochet, I often have annotations all over one copy (eg. tracking rows) and a clean copy on my iPad.

Please fix. Like others with update now unable to access app, so deleted and re downloaded which it did with no problems, now it won't accept email address and unable to restore previous issues losing them all , unless willing to pay again, not happy ! please fix this up.this used to be a good app.

Very frustrating. Great magazine with lovely interactive features but can't get editions to download without crashing. Very frustrating to pay for magazine or book and then be unable to view more than a couple of pages because the rest won't download. Don't know if this is Apple or Vogue to blame.

VogueKnitting. I have subscribed to the digital version. VogueKnitting have blocked any access to instructions—unable to print or keep my favourites, even as bookmarks. The app reloads each time all your subscriptions. Some of the time it asks for resubscription and doesn’t allow access to issues paid for. Useless subscription, useless app, useless for knitting enthusiasts. I have tried to contact VogueKnitting many many times without reply from them. Don’t waste your time and don’t bother with the subscription it us a complete waste of money—just useless and a ripoff.

No app support. Can't get latest update to work. Nowhere on app to contact support & if you click on app support in App Store it takes you to VK web site where there is no app support. Pathetic

Can’t see/purchase latest edition. The app doesn’t display latest edition or back issues. Therefore, I can’t purchase the latest edition. I tried deleting and reinstalling the App but issue still persists. What is available on the App are only editions which I have had purchased and downloaded.

File missing. Until this point, I've loved the magazine. I've now purchased another edition, and keep getting an error message of "missing XML file" and am unable to contact support to resolve the issue. I've paid, I want to at least be able to view what I've bought. Disappointed!

Vogue knitting. I subscribe to this magazine and I can’t download it. I am allowed 1 free minute this is rubbish. Vogue knitting online subs don’t recognize my email so I can’t even send them an email about this on the contact us page. Very unhappy

Updated rating from 1 to a 5 star rating. Contacted App company and now working for me. Deleted app, updated software and reinstalled. Works perfectly now. Some users may just need to delete and reinstall app then sign into app again to restore purchases if their iPad is updated. Old with 1 star rating: Hasn't been working for months and haven't been able to read issues. Crashes once you open it. Really disappointed as I love this magazine.

Won't launch. Won't launch after updating on July 2, 2017. I have a subscription and now can't access any of my previously paid-for editions.

Can't get the icon to appear on my iPad.. I have to keep going to the App Store and searching for it and opening it -- otherwise, great idea. Don't know why this is happening. VK Books app works fine, but the mags app won't load as an icon.

Pretty useless. App does not recognize my user name and password. I’m trying to understand why the website encourages downloading the app. An hour of my life I’ll never get back.

Fixed!!!. Ever since the last update, I couldn't open the app. It was crashing as soon as soon as it opens up !?!? I have been subscribed for years, but I couldn't read my magazines :( FIXED: I have deleted and reinstalled the app...then restored all my purchases, and downloaded all the issues. Took some time...but...It is working now!!!

Lost issues. When my app refused to launch after the last update, I deleted it and reinstalled it. It launched fine then, but I had to reload all my issues - I had subscribed to Vogue Knitting since before digital issues were available and switched to digital when they were. Unfortunately, I had to repurchase some of my older issues, which I did, assuming that I would not be charged for them again. Unfortunately I was charged for them and have yet to be reimbursed for the charges. I am very disappointed. I love the magazine, but the behind-the-scenes nerds have really messed things up.

Awful app. Nice to have instant access to the magazine, but the app leaves a LOT to be desired. Can't print instructions, can't copy and paste in a different app, buttons become inactive after you have accessed them once and then clicked away, not user-friendly for knitting at all. Update: in same boat as others. App won't even open now; no access to my PAID subscription.

One minute of time to preview a magazine is a joke. There are so many pictures etc., my iPad cannot open a magazine in the 60 seconds, so I see nothing but a slow moving progress bar while it tries to download, only to be told I am out of time. This app is better than the old one, but the designers are still not clear on the user experience.

HATE it. This app is terrible, nothing is intuitive in it and nothing is explained. It’s like it was designed by someone who’s never read a magazine, much less used a knitting magazine. Finding the PDF view is hard, finding the actual patterns is hard, you can’t download the entire magazine as a PDF (that I can see, no instructions for downloading whatsoever in the FAQ). The pattern photos don’t connect to the actual pattern. You have to scroll through a million pages to find your pattern. So how do you knit something from the magazine?!

Robbery. I used to love this app, but after ending my subscription a few years ago, I now realize that all the editions I had downloaded disappeared. It seems the only way I can get them back is by buying them AGAIN! This is robbery. Not impressed, VOGUE Knitting.

Not Knitter Friendly App. I wish the app would have the issues I’ve purchased available to hold open/read from. If I exit the app to check other apps, I have to re-located the issue in the list and then reopen the issue and find my spot. Extremely annoying, given that my preference is to have my knitting patterns more readily available and open to the pages I’m working from. I love the patterns (of course) but the app is decidedly sub-par.

Not great for knitting. I guess this app is fine if you just want to read the magazine- which you have to buy. However I wanted to use the patterns. I ordered the wool and when I wanted to start my project I found there was no way to print the pattern. I was pretty disappointed. I like to print them so I can mark rows off- especially colour charts. Also I am not the only one in the family using my iPad so having to use it the whole time to knit my sweater makes some people a little impatient. I wouldn't use it again

Terrible. You cannot print the patterns out clearly, even when ailing them to oneself. If you think I'm going to knit a pattern from this small screen, you're nuts! Waste of money.

Not useful. Logging in tells you that your subscription is okay, then won’t let you access the content. Not quite sure what the point of this app is.

Please can we have the old app back!. I can’t figure out how to navigate the new app or how to highlight patterns I want to return to (if there even is a way). I’m deeply frustrated. Later...ok, I give up. I am going back to the print editions where I can at least take a picture of or photo copy a sweater I want to make. THIS IS THE WORST magazine app!

Unhappy with the new format. Many frustrations with the new vogue knitting, least of which was the weeks I had to wait to get missing issue restored so I could resume knitting, but the biggest frustration is no longer being able to mark up the issues as I knit, or make notes. It is now more antiquated than a hard copy with a pen.

Vogue difficult. Your last way of sending subscriptions was just so much easier. I find the app very frustrating

My purchases are gone!. I have been buying various single issues of Vogue Knitting over the years since they released them digitally. I even bought the few Crochet magazines they published. Now, they are gone, all gone. All I get is a parade of magazine covers. If my purchases are somewhere on the app, they keep them well hidden. Really poor design, not designed by a knitter. Don’t use social media specialists to do a knitter’s job. Bring back the old app. It worked just fine. If I don’t get my magazines recovered fast and for free, you have lost me as a customer. I wouldn’t trust you again. It’s fraud to erase my purchases and try to make me buy them again.

Their Site and app not sync. Like another reviewer, I got stuck in password limbo between app and their site and to realize it’s not me. A long time user of their app and magazines (print and online) but considering how every time it updates I have to sync again and the worry it won’t sync up to me one day, I’m hesitant on getting any more issues.

Wish I could give it negative stars!. Adding to my mid-June review. Just received an email to renew my subscription even though the App still isn't working. Adding to my previous comment. Since last update cannot launch the app. Really disappointed. Will be using/downloading interweave magazines instead of vogue knitting straight from their website from now on. Tried to leave a zero star rating and the App Store won't let me. Don't purchase this app. I agree with other commenters, very difficult to print patterns, in-app "comment" tools are useless and even though I have a valid paid subscription, I have to pay for the newest issue. Not worth the money.

Last update will not launch. As a digital subscriber of many years this is not acceptable. Last update has resulted in no access - the app will not open, no access to past issues in the library. I received email notification that my newest issue was ready, but the app is not. If zero stars was an option as a rating that would be my selection. Frustrating as patterns need to be accessible to make this subscription worth having. FIX required ASAP.

Rip off if subbed to print & digital. Never received anything but canned response from both the app and Soho Publishing. I can’t access the digital portion of sub and not getting help. Vogue so disappointed.

Lost Issues Purchased. I updated my app and lost the issue I had purchased and after trying to recover my purchase still can’t access. Very upsetting...I’m extremely upset as I was about to start the shawl I purchased the magazine for...rip off!

Not worth the time. One minute preview is all you get to determine if you would be interested in buying an issue and that is clearly not enough. 💩 crap. When you buy a magazine you cant print it or save it for offline its not what i was expecting as when i knit i like to be able to write where i am. For the price we pay the online magazine i really not suggest to not buy or even download the app.

Vogue Knitting. Cannot open the app for the latest Vogue Knitting- it always worked before.

Crashing all the time. It crashes whenever i try loading the entrelac edition and another reference edition. I want my money back for the books as i cant open and use them anymore. Do something with this app, people! I bought this app last year hoping that bugs will be fixed. Looks like Vogue doesnt seem to care about customers - it is one of the worst newsstand apps.

Vogue Knitting Mag app. This app has some nice features like the 360 view of the knitted garment. But you can't print out the pattern instructions. Which is handy to make notes on and take to the yarn shop. My tablet is awkward to drag around shopping or pickup in the middle of a row especially when the screen times out. Please update this app with a 'print' option for pattern instructions.

Frustrating. This app has potential but is extremely frustrating as it crashes VERY often. I will wait for an upgrade and test it myself before I spend another $4.99 to almost read a magazine. Too bad since there are so many good iPad apps for reading magazines. Instead of badly re-inventing something that doesn't work, why not use an existing portal like Zinio. At the very least, they could have tested it before unleashing another half-baked app on the unsuspecting public.

Terrible app. Since my last update no past purchases are available. Contacting customer support I was told I can’t access any past magazines because I don’t have a current subscription. These magazines were all purchased in the past not simply rented. I have spent well over $100 to purchase these magazines. Even if I want to renew my subscription (which at this point I do not) the app won’t allow me to.

Useless App. While this is a good app for browsing a magazine it is pretty useless for a knitting magazine. When someone buys a copy of Vogue Knitting they need to be able to make a copy of a pattern that they wish to knit. This is so that you can make notes, etc on the pattern while knitting the project. There is no way to do this. All you can do is browse the magazine. If it was possible to export pages into a PDF file for printing or use in a PDF write app then this would be good. As it is I will stick to purchasing my vogue magazines as hardcopies.

Vogue knitting. I have purchased many magazines over the years but cannot access any of them. Apple says talk to Vogue and Vogue says talk to Apple. Disappointing.

App works on relaunch. Delete your old app and reinstall to get it working. I am glad that all my subscriptions are still in good working order.

Support terrible! App terrible!. Unable to log in or access magazines in my Ipad pro. Support just gives me the run around. Do not buy magazines through this app. You may or may not be able to view. Very unreliable.

So disappointed. The app worked great for 3 days, now I see my purchased magazine, because I’m knitting a pattern from it, but when I try to click on it and use the featured pattern all I get is a black screen with the little wheel turning eternally.

Not ready for prime time. This is a beta. It does not sync across devices. Requires login from the same device you originally used. Downloading or syncing PDF to Kindle fails. Sigh.

Purchased Issues gone. My access to all my previously purchased issues - individually and through previous subscriptions is gone. And I subscribed to this magazine for years. I’ve tried restoring purchases and the usual recovery mechanisms, nothing has worked. Majorly ripped off.

Too bad. Lost a pattern and bought the app thinking it would allow me to follow the pattern in the app. No ability to mark the charts. Printing from the app didn’t help, as the page truncates, and the whole chart is not available. Grrrrr.

Awful Interface. The changed interface is terrible and not user friendly. I have been a subscriber for years. Info isn’t available offline. I should have subscribed to the print version!

Unfortunately no longer functional. Vogue Knitting Magazine. I longer appears to be maintaining this app. No edition has been updated since Fall 2000 and that edition did not include any of the patterns (!). Multiple inquiries have gone unanswered. I consider my last subscribed year to be a donation to the knitting community and do not plan on renewing. So sad.

Love the patterns, not the new app. The newer app isn’t as user friendly as the older one, I don’t enjoy my viewing experience nearly as much. Where are the hot links? Full view of the knits? No advertising when I first launch the app?

I have paid for nothing. This app used to work. Last year it stopped updating issues. Apple says my subscription will be renewing shortly. Vogue says my subscription expired. No help from customer service after several tries. I give up. Will cancel renewal.

App that Robs. I’ve purchased back copies and have subscriptions to Vogue Knitting. I cannot access the content. Vogue does not answer my requests for service. Apple says it’s Vogue’s problem. This app should be removed from the app store.

Old titles. It is quite annoying to lose all downloads every time there is an update. I lost all my old magazines and I did need them for a long overseas trip.

Not user friendly. I just purchased spring/summer 2017 for 1 particular pattern I fell in love with. I wish to print it so I can mark it up as necessary while knitting and not always have to carry my ipad with me. There apparently is no way to print and that is very disappointing.

Vogue Knitting. I used to love this app on my iPad. I could leaf through it like a regular magazine. Now, it is nearly impossible to navigate. Same great content, just inaccessible. The “improvements” have nearly ruined the magazine.

Do not waste your money. Twice. CANNOT PRINT PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS. I had to buy a print copy of the issue I wanted. There is no way to print the instructions for a pattern from the app, and trying to follow a detailed pattern from your phone is insane. What a waste of money. This app is GARBAGE.

Inefficient App. For the second time previous magazines that I had purchased in the past have disappeared when upgrading this app. I would not recommend this app.

Useless. The latest issue isn’t available on the app. The most recent issue that is, Fall 2020, doesn’t display correctly anymore. No patterns available, only articles. Not even the ads are view-able. I’m guess the advertisers wouldn’t be happy about that.

Dead app with lackluster support. Suddenly downloaded content is not available offline and it’s a mystery to me how I would even view the latest edition. What’s up with this app?

Pretty pointless.. November 25, 2018. Finally able to login with the help of tech support. But why bother? The interface is awful and there is NO WAY to print! Seriously? When my subscription expires I won’t bother to renew. August 1, 2018. The app was updated. Still doesn't recognize my email. Previous review... My online account knows who I am and when my subscription expires but this app won’t let me login. I just get an error message saying my email can’t be found.
