ESTIMATED WAIT TIME
Estimated wait times assume you are getting the next available stylist. You can request a stylist upon arrival at the salon but your wait may be longer. For safety and privacy reasons, we do not publish stylist schedules.

WHEN IS ONLINE CHECK-IN AVAILABLE?
Customers can check in online during the hours the salon is open. Online Check-In will not be available during the first five minutes a salon is scheduled to be open. This gives customers who are physically in the salon when it opens a chance to be checked in and have their names added to the waitlist. We accept online check-in up until 30 minutes before closing time. You can still get a haircut at closing time, you just can't check in on the app.

CAN I USE ONLINE CHECK-IN FOR MORE THAN A HAIRCUT?
Yes, you can use Online Check-In for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. And, most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call the salon to inquire.

WHAT DO I DO IF I DON’T HAVE A MOBILE DEVICE?
You can check in from any device that has internet (a smartphone, iPad, computer, etc.). Go to greatclips.com, click on Find a Salon or Check In. Enter your postal code or address and you'll be using Online Check-In in no time! If you don't have an Internet connection, you can always walk right in to any salon and add your name to the list.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE AT THE SALON?
After you've checked in online, you will see what place you are in on the waitlist. You'll want to arrive to the salon before you are next in line. If you'd like to receive a text message when your estimated wait time reaches 15 minutes, you can sign up for ReadyNext® text alerts. Once you arrive at the salon, let the stylists know you're there, and they will confirm your information and finish your check in.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ARRIVE LATE?
We understand: Things happen! Don't worry if you lose your keys, spill something, or get stuck in traffic. We'll keep your name on the list for a short period of time.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY CHECK IN?
Once you are checked in, the salon will appear on the home screen. Cancel at any time by tapping Cancel check-in.

Awful app, great haircuts. This review is split in two. First criticism of the app. Second suggestions. The haircuts are great but this app is awful. The reminder feature has never worked. Each time I click remind it pops up a box “opps something went wrong. Please try again” I’ve tried several time to leave feedback on the app itself when it asks for a review it pops up a box “Too many characters. Please try again.” This same box pops up no matter how many characters you leave. Even when you place just one letter. Suggestions: I wish it had more functionality. 1) I want to see my profile. Maybe a tab where I could see the cut they give me and the notes they left for the next stylist. 2) I wish I could submit a picture for the stylist to view when they pull up my profile. 3) There could also be a tab to view all kinds of haircuts and styles, like the books they have that way when you go into the shop you already know what you want and can show it to the stylist. 4) What if it sent you a notification when they had the 5.99 cuts sale going on. 5) It would also be neat to view the last date you checked in. This app has a lot of potential but it doesn’t utilize any of it. I have had the app for a while and to be honest it seems like the same app as when I first downloaded it. Nothing really new.

My new go to!. The place I had gone to, Hairmasters, for over 20 years totally ruined my haircut one time by cutting off all my bangs. Another haircut or noticed it gassed and said are you trying something new? I said no, apparently we just had a miscommunication not a big deal. Would’ve been fine right there, but the person telling me that my bangs being cut off was my fault because that’s what I said was the straw that broke the camels back. So I came here to Great Clips & never looked back. They know my name, my preferred cut, & are super friendly. What’s unfortunate for them about this story (but not you guys) is that I’m a good tipper.

Todays experience. I love the app and the two people that cut our hair did an amazing job. However I came back to try and redeem two coupons the the manager immediately got an attitude with me and would not allow me to redeem the two coupons sent to me in the mail. I paid over $65 for two haircuts and she was unwilling to void out my transaction and allow me to use these two coupons. I said I run a business and know she could very easily void out the previous transaction, but she had the audacity to say that I was offending her. So I asked if she could allow me to use these coupons for next time and extend the expiration date. Once again she gave me attitude and if it wasn’t for a customer in the lobby coming to my defense she wouldn’t have given me that option. She clearly is having a bad day and I certainly didn’t mean to cause her any grief. I hope her days gets better! My experience with the two individuals that cut my sons hair and my hair was amazing but the minute I engaged with your store manager she was extremely offensive! I’ll be back and I hope I don’t have to deal with her again

Love Great Clips........ but Rhonda is best hands down!!. I’ve been going to great clips for over a year now and Rhonda at Great Clips of Downingtown PA is nothing short of amazing!! Rhonda has cut my hair each time I’ve gone in to the salon and she has gotten me the most amounts of compliments said to me when she does my cut. She is very professional and has a great cheer about her with stories she and I chat about while getting my hair done. Great Clips you have an amazing gem working for you and you should do whatever it takes; shout outs, raises, private helicopter to take her to and from the salon out to lunch daily to keep her forever! Thank you again Rhonda for being amazing and cheers to you Great Clips for her being there to cut hair for this Downingtown Great Clips. Daniel Frontini

Waiting time. The problem is with waiting time is shows a different time than in true time. It seems like it is based on a man’s haircut, which sometimes does not take as long as a woman’s haircut and if a man wants to add his beard after he’s checked in then the time change, so if I leave my house, and it says 15 minutes, I can get to the salon which is five minutes away and still showing 15 to 20 minutes because the people in front of me haircut takes a little longerso I was hoping that this could help you with judging the wait time for people instead of doing the bare minimum. Add a few minutes to where we’re not setting longer than it shows us to.

Great Clips - Great App. We have been using this very helpful app since it came out. It does what it was designed to do and does it well without a bunch of advertising or other junk. It has seen numerous improvements over the years. It is very convenient to be able to check in and know how much time I have to run other errands before my scheduled time. The text updates is one of the best improvements made recently. A couple of features I would like to see in a future update: 1 - The ability to track coupons via the app. I regularly get them in the mail or on the back of my receipt but like many people lose them before they can be used which is a bummer. 2 - to be able to review the name of the stylist and their notes about the cut for the last couple of visits. The stylist usually prints the notes from the receipt printer (I think) to review the notes left by the last stylist. It would be helpful to know what one stylist did on one cut and then what another did that would make the cut even better. Plus I have a terrible memory for names so when a stylist does a great job I forget their name and can’t ask for him or her on the next visit. It’s a great app that performs it function perfectly every time I have used it which is at least once a month or more for many years!!

Need to extend the amount of time an online check-in is held for. I checked-in yesterday via the app & when I arrived, my reservation had been removed because it took me "too long" to get there. You need to extend the time that an online check-in is held for. Also, factor into the wait calculation the stylists schedule, not just how many are on the floor at the time of the reservation! I checked to one location that was 19 minutes and by the time I arrived 15 minutes later the wait should have been about 4 min, right? Wrong, 2 stylists had just left and now the wait was 38 more minutes. So, I check the app again and another store 2 miles away was only 5 minute wait. By the Time I got there it was 14 minutes; a stylist had just clocked out again and left with 5 people in the waiting area and a total of 9 checked in. Or, the stylists should stay until the que has gone down; not leave with 10 customers in line...

Get there early if you want to be 1st. So, I love the app. The issue I have is with the process. Why do you have people waiting in line before the store opens allowed to check in first before app users? The store opens at 10am at my location but the app delays access by 5 minutes to allow the store to check in people waiting outside. So, if you want to be first, you have to wait outside. Please think about this further. I appreciate the store employees are wearing masks in GA!!! Also, glad to see that customers have to wear face coverings too! Thank you Great Clips, we’ve always had a great experience at Great Clips!!! Glad you see that safety for all is important.

Frustrating. I’m theory this app should be very helpful, but I have had too many frustrations. Recently, I planned on going to the salon after work. I kept an eye on the wait time in the hour leading up to when I would leave, and the wait time remained under 10-min, which I thought was good. I didn’t want to check in too early, because sometimes my check-in expires in as little as 30-mins which has happened to me several times. (The employees even told me that the drop-off time is not consistent but can be as early as 30-min). Anyways, I was going to be leaving soon, and so I checked in, with the wait-time estimated to be 15-min. Perfect. I arrived almost exactly 15-min later, and they told me that several of their stylists just left and my wait time will be an additional 20-min. Really?? This isn’t the first time I have had this happen. It would be one thing if I could check in 30-60 minutes in advance so that my spot is reserved on the list, but the fact that my check-in could randomly expire before I arrive is pretty stupid. And regarding employees leaving, this should be accounted for either by having the software factor this into their estimations, or by staggering the departure times for employees, or by allowing employees to stick around if there is a long queue in the waiting list. I have been frustrated far too many times and I am ready to be done with Great Clips.

Basic bare app. This app is so basic. You can only make appointments as the next person. It’s almost like walk ins, just make the appointment as you leave your home. You can’t make appointments for specific time of the day. If it was noon and wanted to make an appointment for 3pm, it’s not possible. Also, there should be notes for who or what was done to your hair. After the work has been done on your hair, the stylist name should appear on the app. Let the customer rate what was done. Let the customer put in some notes so they know what the style was done. We like to return to a specific stylist that did a good job. This part of the app does not have to be shared with the world. It’s just personal notes for the customer. This 1 star review is solely based on the app. My experience at the salon has been fine. I’ve found a couple of good stylist at a good price. Just hope someone can fix the app.

Wait time inaccurate…. I have found the same issue as multiple other reviewers. The estimated wait time is not accurate. I have been using Great Clips for a decade and found the apps displayed wait time has gotten progressively worse over the past few years. I used to pass up one Great Clips store to go to another with a lower displayed wait time. I have learned the hard way on multiple occasions that it was a waste of a drive. Check in with a 14 minute wait time and once you get to the store it is a 32 minute wait time. Or check in with a 25 minute wait expected and when you arrive, you are the first customer in an hour per the stylist. This portion of the app needs some significant improvement. A longer than expected wait allowed me to sit here and write this review. Seems like estimated wait time accuracy is the most important feature of the app, at least for me.

Awesome, saved my night!. It was 7oclock on a holiday, I knew it would be hard to get a haircut. But it was the only time I had available. Luckily I had this app and it saved me the trip of going to my usual salon because it told me it was understaffed. THEN it went the EXTRA MILE by directing me to the nearest salon that did have some workers just in the next city. And I had a good conversation with the person cutting my hair that night, even though it was late and I knew they wanted to go home. Great job guys. I think you could have added a feature where you can schedule your appointment ahead of time instead of being forced to go immediately. Maybe pay online option. It’s kind of like the transit app now that I think about it.

Pitiful if your blind. Its pathetic that I as a blind person cannot use the app because of how poorly created it is. I should not need a sighted person helping me every time "I want to make an appointment" On "MY PHONE!" Please, will someone hire some blind people with apple devices and have them beta test this with voiceover? If you don't know what I'm talking about, settings>General>Accessibility>Voiceover. Or, Just ask Siri to turn on Voiceover. Its an accessible feature for the blind and low vision that allows someone like myself, to write a poor review on apps like this that lack a lot from mislabeled buttons to not even having the check-in button anywhere within reading range of my phones accessibility features to pick up when I'm moving my finger across the screen. Not trying to rip into yall, but too many businesses make excuses as to why they don't make things available for everyone including the blind. Too much money, would ruin the layout... I'll just say this now. Its cheep. Also, theres ways of doing it that will not kill your layout. There is a lot of blind folks out there who are computer programmers who work along with sighted computer programmers, especially at Apple. Look at a lot of apples products for a day with your eyes closed, and just using voiceover on your iPhones. Now, do the same thing with your app and you'll see what I mean. Please, I beg of you to fix this.

Multiple numbers/wait time max out. Love the app! Just a foot note...sometimes I check in with my friends/family and they have different numbers...when we check in, we have to have some one put at the bottom of the list, (the comp asks for one number and assumes we have the same accounts) however the stylists do a wonderful job of honoring my friend’s spot, the only bad part is that other customers don’t know that my friends checked In with me. Is there a way you guys can revamp either the app or the computer system to prompt the stylist for another number so that this issue can be less of a hassle? When the wait time is maxed out is there a way for the app to say walk in only. What it says now it’s too confusing for some people. Also is there a way to notify people when the time goes up for lunch and end of day. Or adjust some how before we get our text to let us know that the salon is running behind. It very miss leading to us consumers that we’ve been in the waiting list 2+ hours and still have to wait longer cause the stylists punching out. Thank you for your time!

Very basic. This app finally looks good but the functionality is still very minimal. At the least, there should be a way to load a credit card into the app and scan to pay at the register. Even better would be a rewards account like so many other apps have. I buy your pre-loaded card most Decembers and use it throughout the year. Why can’t that be in the app so I don’t have to carry a physical card? Or drop the antiquated pre-paid card concept and turn it into a loyalty program with points. Look at all the functionality of the Starbucks app compared to Great Clips. One of the reasons I go to Great Clips is the technology - they have my haircut preferences at whichever location I use and I like the mobile check-in, but the tech is limited to those two things when it could be doing a lot more.

App is for Great Clips benefit, not customers. The app leads you to believe you are putting a place holder for your spot in line prior to arrival… This is not the case. Your place in line starts when you arrive so if there was no one in line when you signed in and an estimated “zero” minutes wait time, unfortunately, nine times out of ten when you arrive five mins later, the store is packed and the wait time is just short of an hour. This has happened the past seven visits for me. When asking the store about it, they pretty much just say it’s to let them know how many people are coming in so no stylist leaves early and that your place in line only begins when you arrive… So what is the point then other than corporate data collection vailed as a customer convenience? I found it better to just arrive, sign in, and not be mislead by Great Clips into thinking this is some form of place holder, reservation, or even a convenience to help customers save time. It’s simply a data collection for Great Clips and nothing more. Anyone who believes other wise should pay attention to their next visit.

Great job!. I love being able to have the same stylist every time. When I sign in all I do is ask if she’s in they let me know if not I usually ask when she’ll be available then I return. My gal cuts my hair the same way every time. There have been some that have read my file that has my info that have gotten it wrong. Most of the time is when I’ve showed up and need a cut that day and they’ve never cut it before. My gal does a fantastic job, very pleasant to be around and we have such good conversations. I hope she never goes to another shop again I'm so glad she’s come back to my shop!!😊

Convenient Clever Clips. I really like the Great Clips app! It tells you how many people are “in line” and it’s cool they actually show you who is in the Salon and who isn’t. They save your haircut style in their database so I can go to any location and they already know how I want my haircut?!? What?!? That’s so awesome! Great Clips is very Convenient, they are pretty Clever in the way they note your past haircuts, they have the best clippers in the business! I really rely on a quick haircut when I need one, these guys know what they are doing! Every location I’ve been to has been just wonderful!!! I really like Great Clips! They are perfect for me and my busy schedule, they do a fantastic job and the price is really reasonable! I recommend Great Clips to ANYONE who wants great service for a fair price 👍🏻👍🏻✌️

Easy to understand and use. Easy to understand and use. You choose the Salon from a map with wait times displayed for each, choose the number of people to check in, arrive within the estimated window, and you are usually number 1,2,or 3 on the list. It’s not an exact science, because haircut times, staffing, and other factors can affect the estimates. As long as people realize they might have to wait a LITTLE BIT (0-20 min), this is a great system. Way better than walking in and hoping for the best. On rare occasions, the system goes down or something odd happens with the app update, but I’ve been using it since shortly after it came out and only had that happen a couple of times. I always feel bad for the walk-ins who have not checked in online.

Fix App. Well the app was working fine for the past few years. When I recently checked in to the same location I always use and showed up, they didn’t have me in the system. I was checked in on the other side of town. Very frustrating because now I’m waiting an hour for a cut when I showed up on time for the scheduled cut. Developers need to add the address in the check-in location. Last time I get a cut at Great Clips due to app issue. Developers need to look into this ASAP. Updates and bug fixes help your business. Update: So I let the staff know I was going to sit in my truck due to no seats in the lobby. My wait time was 45 minutes. I walked back in at 38 minutes and see my name not on the screen. I told the employee I already check in about 40 minutes ago and told them I had to sit in my vehicle due to no seats available. They never notified me. They wanted to put me on the list again to be last. I was 8th the first time. Now I’m 4th? Nope I’m done with Great Clips. Never again!

Dennis Perrine. Today this place give me a great hair cut. Yesterday was a different story. Yesterday I checked in on the App, it said I had a 31 min. wait. That’s cool I check in on the App. I took my time getting to the shop at 159th and 69 Highway in Overland Park Kansas. Got there I was the First name on the list, there was only two people cutting hair. Two people were getting hair cuts one person waiting. By the time they got to me ,I had been there about 45 minutes. Then a guy walk in and they told me he was next, I left the shop and I will not be back to that shop again. The shop I went to today was great I didn’t have to wait and they treated me with respect. The shop today was in Prairie Village Kansas. Someone needs to talk to the manager at yesterday’s shop. It’s such a nice shopping center but bad customer service.

Aweful- no need for the app. Checked in online with the app. Pretty much stopped what i was doing so that I could make it there on time. Got there, app said i had 4 mins. I went to check in. Walking in before me were a couple gentlemen they, they went to check in they gal asked if they checked in online they told her no. She then informed them it would be 10 to 15 min wait. They said they’d sit down and wait. I got there told her my name, and that Id checked in on the app. She informed me it’d be 45 mins. to an hour wait. I showed her my app that said 2 mins. (Mind you I stopped what i was doing to get there on time) She then very rudely informed me they don’t go the app they have their own list. So why make the app/online necessary if they don’t use it. Aweful-rude, went to another place and got in relatively quick. I won’t be and i will spread the word.

Time left on app = different than in shop. This app needs better time structure. I checked in to the app and it told me 36 minutes till haircut, so I went home and periodically checked the app to make sure I was on time. I checked back the first time and it said 25 minutes left, then 18 minutes left, then 8 minutes left, and finally 1 minute left. I then went to the great clips location and they informed me that I was first in line for the past 20 minutes and so I was booted from the queue. I now am behind 4 people and have a 25 minute wait....... while waiting for my first check in, I had push notifications turned on and was checking the app every several minutes and still I got no notification inside the app or from the push notifications that I was first in line. There must be a way inside the app that it tells you when it bumps you because there was no way of me knowing it was time to come in! That is until they took me off the queue.

Service. I have been going to the Winchester store since they opined. Prior to that I went to the location in Tullahoma next to Peebles. At BOTH locations I was ALWAYS greeted when I walked in, and told about how long the wait would be. The wait was NEVER longer than I was told when I arrived. I have gotten to know several stylists over the years and we keep up to date on events and families during visits. I LOVE the app and the convenience of checking in. I wish there was a way of knowing what stylists are working that day. There are a couple that I have gotten to know but they are off when I come in. I understand there may be a safety issue with posting names. It would just be nice if I could go when my favorites are there. However, EVERYONE is friendly and professional. I wouldn't think of going to a different salon. {{{ GREAT JOB EVERYONE }}}

Time Saver. I’ve been a member now with Great Clips for a good year in a half and I must say.. this online check-in app is a REAL time saver!!! Anytime it’s that time of the month for me to get my needed haircut, I quickly check myself in and by the time I am at my local Great Clips salon, I let the employees know I’ve arrived and I will get seen by one of the hairdressers right away or I may need to wait only 5 to 6 minutes but my wait time is pretty short all thanks to this very useful and time saver app. It’s so amazing how quickly I check-in and am quickly seen by a hairdresser; getting my needed haircut😌 And the “Haircut Reminder” feature is an awesome tool to help remind me to take pride and excellent care of my short hair by sticking to my certain haircut/haircare routine!👍🏻

Exquisitely simple—almost as good as my haircut.. I never thought I’d need an app to get a haircut, but in the 21st century there’s an app for everything, and I’m glad there is! I’ve always been a huge fan of Great Clips and this app is as great as they are. Forget the anxieties of scheduling an expensive haircut weeks in advance at a salon: this app lets you check in from the parking lot, from across town, or even before you leave the house after realizing that you’ve been neglecting your trim and your bedhead is atrocious. It’s user interface is also crisp, clean, and easy to navigate, as all things ought to be.

Who cares?. I called in and was placed on their wait list and when I arrived I checked in with my phone number and waited a short time for my turn. My name was called and the hairdresser read off my desired hair cut, she thought, I said I don’t know what a #3 is but, I would like it cleaned up or something to that effect AND then it went down hill. I jumped out of the chair and shouted, “That’s not me!” as the young lady took a huge chunk of hair off the side of my scarp just above my ear. I found out then what a #3 was. Apparently, there was another person with the same name as mine who was also waiting. I was in a wedding in 2 days. “It won’t grow back that soon” she said. That’s when I chucked the chair through their window (not really). It was the manager’s comment that worsened the ‘mistake’ and really caused me to overheat. I was standing in the middle of their salon, still wearing the apron, while three of them were at the counter trying to figure out why I was getting a ‘buzz’ cut as everyone else in the salon looked on curiously. Then the manager walks over and says to me, “Are you ready!?” Am I ready? I sure don’t think I looked ready to sit back down in ‘that’ chair. Maybe an apology would have been more effective. I know I would have felt a ‘ting’ better. (Am I ready?!) A long story: (Just make sure they know who you are.)

Professionalism. Today I checked in on line then went in for my haircut. I could see it was a busy day and yet each person who came in was greeted warmly and signed in. One man (I believe his name was David) didn’t want to wait and he wanted a particular person to cut his hair. He was told that she was about to go to lunch, but if he didn’t mind the wait she would cut his hair when she got back. He didn’t want to wait and went with someone else. He had been grumbling prior to getting in the chair and continued with language that was quite vulgar. Cassie was thinking we cutting my hair when suddenly David says take this off me, referring to the apron. He started cursing at the lady who had been about to start cutting his hair. He then ripped off the white tape from his neck and threw it at her. She told him he could leave. He continued to curse at and beret the worker. The other workers stood together and told him to leave. He yelled that he would never be back and did we all know how much money he had spent in there. I said so what. (Because honestly, who cares!!) He left still cursing. The staff did not stoop to his level, but stood fast supporting each other. No one did anything that would have made a “normal” person upset. Great Clips should be proud of the professional behavior of all the women working during this incident. I know I certainly am!!

Is it the app’s fault or the store?. I checked in through the app given a 50min wait time and also signed up for text alerts when it’s supposed to be a 15min wait and to come in the lobby. I got that text at 1:51 PM and headed into the lobby where I was told the wait should be 15min unless people that signed up ahead of me showed up then it’d be much longer. Those people did show up and now it’s 2:26 PM still waiting in the lobby. The whole point of this app for me, and most, is to save time by signing up through the app and not having to wait more than 15 minutes in a Great Clips lobby at the mall. Im not sure what or who initiates the text for the warning, but it’s sure not accurate or helpful at all. This is the second time I've had something like this happen now and before I just didn't have the extra unplanned time to wait, so I had to lave without a haircut and a loss of time. Hopefully this can be fixed, but until then this will be the last time I go through Great Clips (app or store).

Endless loop trying to sign up for wait list. I have tried for about 30 minutes and have read everything on each page. I could not locate anything about times when I could or could not sign up on the wait list. All I get is a continuous loop on how easy it is to put my name on the list by selecting the dot on the map for my location, I do that but do not receive the page that shows available times nor a way to sign up. What I do get is the store info page again telling me to select the map dot for my location and to fill out the time slot with my name and info - it’s that simple - but wait when I select the map dot I go back to the stores info page. Over and over again - I am presuming I cannot sign up until the store is open so I wait and exactly 5.75 minutes - 7 minutes after store is to open I get the message that the wait list is full. So I am to presume that all these people get their name on the list within the first seconds after the list is supposedly open for sign ups. This is one seriously messed up app - I’ve written software for the last 40+ years, long before monitors were used for writing apps and this app tops the worst I’ve used in a long time. Just pathetic in user interface and it’s even worse for my mother who loves a particular stylist and tries to get on the list - she can’t see everything and has to rely on her nurse to set things up - just because she is a little hard in seeing.

Great app. Love the app. I can get a haircut whenever by just using this app. They even let you know when your close by a txt. You can do what you need to and once you get that txt just head over. Plus if you’re signed in through the app you jump ahead of all walk-ins. No more waiting in line for it. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 10 minutes. And I being cautious about the time. Really it’s probably less than 10 minutes. Busy schedules? Then you will want this. I’ve always been treated great and my cut is always the best. And sometimes they’ll have deals on haircuts. Buy a card that’ll really save ya money.

Pretty Good - Room for improvement. 5/5 - Ease of use. The map makes it super easy to find a location, along with an accurate wait time, and will even text you when you’re about up. These features easily make this app 4 stars. Room for improvement: it would be nice to see what stylist is working at each location along with experience and maybe length of employment(optional) to help enforce confidence. If nothing else, people who like to have a specific stylist to cut their hair would greatly appreciate that feature rather than either calling to find out which takes time from the stylist or walking in when scheduling an appointment and find out that way. Other than that and the various little bugs (when reminder pops up and asks to remind you in 3 weeks doesn’t ever work), which is annoying, but easy to dismiss. Wonderful app overall.

Convenient, But Needs Improvement. I like the convenience of the app. Knowing what the wait time is helpful. If it’s a long wait, I can use the time to run other errands or grab a bite to eat. My chief complaint it that the “Haircut Reminder” feature does not work. Every time I try to set a reminder I get a “Oops-Request failed:unauthorized (401)” message. I’m one of those people who have to have reminders for pretty much everything, so the fact that the reminder feature doesn’t work is irritating. A list of stores added to the map would be quite useful. I get kinda aggravated with the map, especially if there are several stores in one small area. I don’t think I’m the only one who finds this bothersome. Until improvements are made, my three-star rating will stand.

Upgrade. Need to know who is currently working. Need to check on a stylist to see when she/he will be working in the upcoming week. Appreciate your response It is nice to see a business that cares for their employees security even if it’s at the expense of customer loyalty. I as a person who every 6 weeks goes on to get a haircut with a part-time stylist, who I’ve seen for years now, finds your system less than user friendly. First, I have to call in and speak with the stylist to see when my person is working today, if not now then when? Next I have to determine which day works best for me. Finally, I have to call in and register in. Next I have to go in and regardless of my position on the appointment listing, wait till I am next up when my stylist become available. HARDLY, user friendly. Thanks for listening and since I programmed for a living a user friendly option for my situation could be made.

Pointless-Just check in online.. Made an account, password and email don’t work to sign into their website, thus I can’t adjust if they sell my information. So I made the account on the ap, within the ap I tap “don’t sell my information” it forwarded me to the website and asked me to sign in. I used the exact password and email. Typed it out twice. It said “the email and password you used don’t match any account. Please try again“. It only gave me 3 more attempts, I tried once again and it still wouldn’t take the password and email. My phone saved them so I knew they were correct. Either way, the second time I tried to type it carefully to be sure an error wasn’t made. After that, two attempts. Guess they’ll be selling my info as I am unable to change this. Assuming the developers will comment “If you would like to explain more, email us here”. No need to explain more. I’ve given you a step by step of how it doesn’t work well. You should allow people to adjust how you sell or use their information rather than giving the option and then not allowing it.

App saves so much time!. First and foremost, my stylist, and the entire team at the Avondale fiesta store are awesome, engaging, and full of positive energy. As for the app, it is a MUST! You can check in a whole hour before you plan on getting there. And when you arrive you are most likely at the front of the line. It is advantageous to those on the move, balancing time around errands, that you’ll begin to laugh under your breath when the stylist asks arriving customers if they’re checked in online only for the customer to reply no. The time saved is priceless! You’ll see your wait, if it’s short you can go immediately. If it’s long you can take your time getting there knowing your place in line is reserved.

“We do not provide masks for our customers”. Oroville,California. I frequent this place often. Usually twice a week. $18*2=$36. Now add the tip. I tip very generously. $7 to 10$. 4 girls were sitting in salon chairs waiting on a customer. I usually have a mask but stoped wearing one after I got vaccinated. The CDC agrees with my decision. They couldn’t provide a disposable mask or would service my needs with out one as they require. For an industry that suffered greatly, they were ok with a customer walking away. I then went to Angelina and the Hair man located at 2055 Mitchell Ave, Oroville California. They were extremely busy and guess what? They squeezed me in and didn’t require a mask since I was vaccinated. $18 for a hair cut and $12 for a tip. Found my new “go to” spot for haircuts. I hope everyone dumps Great Clips and goes to a local place insteadZ Oroville has so many hair cut options. I am ashamed Now that I’ve wasted my money on a corporate place instead of a Man or Woman trying to make a living.

Wait Times Are a Joke!. Our local salons are great. Staff is friendly. Both locations are clean. The App is a joke! I checked in with a 54min wait. I drove to the salon at a 21min wait, checked in in-person, only for the clock to jump to 40+min. Then the app went black and said timing couldn't be configured at this time. One of the staff members clocked out and our expected 21min wait stretched over an hour. In that time I watched the current wait time on the salon screen bounce from 88min to 65 to 91min. It made no sense, and just looked like the app was playing a game of bingo, randomly calling numbers. Use the app to check in, but pay attention to your place in line rather than the timer to estimate realistically when you should head to the salon. The app will give you a "15 min warning to head there" but this is a joke!

Convenient for the customer?. I have used the GC app perhaps since it was originally introduced. I’ve never really had a problem, as I always tend to go when things are slower. Tried the updated app today and observed a 35 min wait time. I opted for the text notification and waited at home for 10 mins only to find the wait was now 39 mins. So, I decided to drive to the store since my guess was that people arriving at the store were getting placed in front of me in the queue. Checked in and was told the wait was 35 mins though my app said 21 mins. Suggestion: the queue should adjust based upon a person’s check-in time on either the app or in store. If one checks in online at 4 but arrives at the store at 4:15 (before their estimated time) they should be in the queue before someone who checks into the store at 4:05 (in-store check-in vs online check-in). The restaurants seems to have this down but not this app. I understand that shifts change, things take longer/shorter than expected, but someone shouldn’t end up waiting an hour when the estimated wait time is 35 mins at check-in.

Careful when you check-in online!. I live an hour away from a barber. So I used online check-in to get my son in. I decided to check him in online soon as they opened and make the drive over so when I got there wait time would be minimal. I got there and was told that even though I checked in at 9am when they opened and I did check in they actually dont accept check ins until 5 minutes AFTER they open 9:05. I explained that this was no where on their app and I was never sent an alert notifying me otherwise. She said she was sorry but that’s the rules!! I was told wait time was now 88 minutes!!!! All before 10am! I was so mad told her what the situation was and they said they were unwilling to work with me and I was welcome to go elsewhere!! This app needs to put that information up! I also suggest that if someone does manage to check in they should have a reminder notice as well.

A solid 4 out of 5. App is very basic but easy to use and navigate. All of the bare minimum “must haves” or essential options are included however the app lacks the necessary enhancements to receive a 5 star review. Over the past 15 years I’ve helped more than two dozen Fortune 500 companies (including a direct competitor of Great Clips) build, improve, or revamp their mobile apps so for me it was easy to spot the ways Great Clips could improve the user experience and improve the app. For example, I’d like to see an improved map & GPS integration as well as the opportunity to put products in my cart that I’d pay for and pick up once I arrive for my appointment. Those are just two ways I will mention that could improve the app and receive a 5 star review.

Doesn’t actually work. Great idea but currently doesn’t work. I get an “internal server error (500)” when I try to log in after creating a profile. Additionally the app does not seem to have passed login information to either the web application or the business itself. The web app doesn’t recognize my credentials but also won’t let me use my same email address to create a new profile, a sure sign of an error with the iOS app. The business itself received only my phone number and no other information that I put on my profile. So I hope they fix this but I wish I would have never downloaded it.

Great service but app needs some tweaking. I have visited the same salon for years, but only recently started using the app. I don’t know if it’s saving me time or mostly saving them time, but one thing that is desperately needed is a way to request a specific stylist. In our case, it would be helpful to AVOID a specific stylist who was horrible to my young son, made him cry, flatly refused to read or replicate his previous haircut instructions and instead grabbed a pair of clippers and shaved massive amounts of hair off before I jumped up to stop her. She was extremely rude to me when I was nothing but pleasant to her, even as she was condescending and argumentative. There needs to be an option to select “first available” if a customer doesn't care who cuts their hair or a drop down list (of each stylist working at that time) so customers can request to wait for one in particular. We won’t be back until that function or option is available because I value my family’s well-being and intentionally inflicting trauma on them isn’t ok. Great Clips might operate on the idea that “anyone can do it” but the truth when dealing with the uncertainty of human attitudes and abilities is that not everyone will.

Professional and talented. Amerah was my grandsons hairstylist and he was very nervous about getting his hair cut for school . She was very calm talking to him and asking him questions about the style he wanted . He had a picture on his phone from the internet with the style he was going for . She was very careful to try and get it as close to the picture as she could . Afterwards of course he didn’t look like the picture but she looked at him and told him to go home and work with it to make it his own . Then when the day comes he looks in the mirror and his hair looks like what he loves , that is when he should take pictures of his hair and bring those pictures in when he’s ready for another cut . That is brilliant advice ! Simply brilliant! Thank you Amerah !

Not a great experience. Downloaded the app and went to check in. App said 47 minute wait. Well I’ll do some minor chores around the house. Within 10 minutes the app changes to 0 minute wait and says head in. I hurry to get ready to leave and the app switches to 10 minute wait. No biggy….its a 5 minute drive or so. As I am getting close the wait switches to 35 minute wait. I walk in and there are three people in front of me and one stylist. I’m waiting and will get my cut here today but it will be my last greatclips trip. 🤷. There are enough alternatives that I don’t need my time wasted. I don’t mind if an online check in isn’t perfect but this was a bad first impression. For reference I’ve used the website to check in multiple times with no issues, however when I tried that today a message popped up saying they were experiencing issues with the site and I should call or use the app.

Not happy. Used the ap for the first time in a while today. It now has a thing when you check in, it will send you a text message when to leave to get there. What a joke. I was sitting in salon waiting for a text message did not show me as checked in on the board at all, I kept telling them I was waiting for a text so I could check in which never happened so they manually checked me in. I live less than a mile away; I just want to know wait time and that I am checked in when I get there. Why fix something that was working fine before you fixed it. The lady said she would let them know it isn’t working as I wasn’t the only one it did not work for. Ever heard of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it?” I would give this no stars if I was allowed as I think even one is overrated. Is there any way to revert to the old way?

Stylist selection. I wish that when I sign into this app. I could also see what stylist are working at that time . And be able to to select the stylist of my choice. I’m someone that once I find a stylist that I like. I will chose them ever time. Sports clips app offers this type of service. But unfortunately there stylist turn around is constantly. And as soon as you find someone that does a good cut. They are either transferred or have quit. My friend had been going to Great Clips for years and has had the same stylist forever. That’s what had brought me to your location. And I have to say I was so happy with my service, and that when I asked how long my stylist had been working there. She told me for the last 4 years . I was sold , if you could only add that option to your app. You would dominate the hair cut industry.

Cynthia. Just had my haircut by Cynthia on miracle mile in Vero beach Florida. She’s a great hairstylist and I would recommend her. Also have had Chelsea in the past and she is excellent also. I would definitely get rid of JC or whatever his name is that is the manager. He’s arrogant and not very nice to his clientele. He yells at his staff and gave me a hard time with a coupon that I had telling me Facebook‘s coupons never work and I should’ve had it brought up on my phone before I came to the register. He also gave my neighbor a hard time telling her she should have had a phone app for GreatClips to check in on line. She has a iPhone but does not use it for apps and was terribly angry with him.

Change App option when store is about to close, please. I love love love love Great Clips. Been going to them for over 20 years now. The very first time I ever had a negative experience with staff happened last week after the app told me that “we’re sorry for the inconvenience, the online check in not available right now.” I thought maybe I just need to go in person since there is still 45 minutes before the store closes. When I entered the store, I was treated unkindly by staff. Yet, I have them grace since perhaps I might’ve been the 100th person walking through the door to check in. It’s weird. I tried the online check in when there was 45 minutes before closing. Then the staff unkindly said “it’s less than 30 minutes before we close so you can’t check in now.” This is about two things: the app and the unkind behavior from staff. I called GC twice before I finally got a supervisor to return my calls. I am using this as an opportunity for growth for everyone involved. Especially since the supervisor told me they wish the app can explain why we can’t check in, instead of leaving it to staff to talk to people when they walk in. Supervisor is going to talk to staff about being kinder in this area. I’m doing my part to help GC. I hope the app developers add an explanation so save clients the drive and the staff to explain. Thank you.

Joell rocks. My son and I’ve been going to this great clips for a few years now and we have never been disappointed. Although every stylist there seems to do a great job, we only go to Joell because she gets it right every time. She is very friendly and has actually interesting and non obtrusive conversation and always does a fantastic job on our hair. My son is a little particular with his hair, he’s lucky cause it’s long and curly, not like a girl’s hair long and curly but good looking boy’s hair long and curly. It’s unfortunate that he has such a Down syndrome looking face though but we love him anyways. He is special in that he still doesn’t know how to read even at 16 years old, but he sure makes you laugh when you look at him.

Upset. There never opened July 1 never going back again

Great place. Best in town 🍻

New App vs Older Phone. Nope Why would your new App version exclude older phones Cannot use your app anymore Just lost a customer

So Unnecessarily Good. I respect great clips, but at the end of their day they’re a solid (but never changing) B+ grade salon. That being said, this app is absolutely phenomenal and has no right being as good as it is. A+ grade app

Opinion. I get a good haircut every time!

Great haircut. Finally I can get a haircut that suits me. I have fine hair and thinning I don’t want a comb over and the staff understand that and can cut it properly. Thanks

Good app but needs a promo/deal section. As the title states

Wasn't broken until you "fixed" it.... Old version was great - did all the things the "new" one does, but also had reminders for next hair cut. New one doesn't do anything the old one did any better, doesn't have reminders, and the app icon displays that there are "notifications" long after they have been deleted. But it sure looks nice. Time to delete...

App wait times inaccurate. The app is ok but the wait times are inaccurate. Checking in online is nice but still having to wait in the salon even though the app is saying that there is a zero wait time. Very frustrating and misleading.

Not reliable. Repeatedly change appointment time and drop appointments without notice

Upset. I am very upset that you made a new app that will not work on my iPhone 6. I am forced to either get a different shop to cut my hair or buy a new iPhone - guess which. Of course this is just what app developers and and the phone people such as Apple want to force people to buy new phones I can’t afford it thanks a lot.

Flaw in app. There seems to be some flaw in app The wait time was 50 mins initially and then came down to 24 mins and jumped to 65 mins. Can’t relly on the app for wait time

Simple and Effective. It is an easy app to use and I like the ability to check in and see the wait times right away.

Hi,. Do not force people to buy new I-Phones to download your Apps . Please😩

Haircut. Went in for my online appointment haircut by Homeria who did a fantastic job on my new hair!!! Thank you so much!!! I’ll be back!!! 😃

Scheduling the time. Can we schedule a time that we can come

Beat the crowd. Beat the crowd using this app when living in Vancouver or the overpopulated and over rated lower mainland ( line ups everywhere you go!!!!)

Great team. Amazing staff,

Haircut. It’s been a few years since I went to this location and I’m glad I came back. Right from Checking in on line to the great haircut I received from (Jenna) which she did a fantastic job. She is a friendly, courteous hairstylist. I am most definitely coming back. I highly recommend checking this out it’s well worth it !!

Awesome. We had several bad experiences at different places in Oahu. We are sooo glad we found Leanne!! She always gives my son a great haircut. She is pleasant, polite and professional. Always a smile on her face! 10/10 everytime. Thank you great clips and Leanne for an awesome experience every time!

Works Great. New layout and colour scheme is great. Functionality is good and think the next haircut reminder is really useful. Have not tried the find location feature but think it’s great to have.

Angela. Angela has been absolutely engaged and amazing. Sadly, she has fallen ill so today i will get to meet a wonderful new stylist. Get better soon Angela!! Nanaimo, Country Club

Excellent service. Friendly n well professional staff

Great clips east maple ridge, is truly Great!. Great costumer service and quality. I have been going here for over 12 years and will continue to for the foreseeable future. Thanks!

Haircut. It was convenient to not wait long

Cindy is Great. Love that she gives me a wonderful shampoo. Funny no one does the shampoo. Worth every $. She does the razor which also looks and feels great! Only Cindy for me💐👏🏻

Beautiful haircut. I got what I asked for she kept all my streaks shape my beard did better than the barber I used to go to

Great price, great haircut. My days are busy and I like the flexibility of just being able to use the app and get in on short notice. I’ve had some of me best haircuts there and you cannot beat the price.

Great clips. Good service

Hair. Short

Very convenient. I love the check-in app, makes the process more fluid and doesn’t require me to book a time weeks in advance.

Useless app. No point to the app. You check in online, get a text to tell you to head to the salon 15 minutes before, you get there within the 15 min only to find out that because someone walked on before you could get to the salon, they get in before and now your at the salon and have to wait 30+ minutes anyway. So what is the point to the app? Just to make you upset when you see people who came in after you, getting served before you.

Senior Patron. I have been going to this location for several years. The senior rate is about $16 for a haircut and I always give these hard working people a good tip. I use the online app and usually in and out in about 15-20 mins. I am happy with my haircut, friendly people, clean facilities. Thumbs up on everything!

Latest version will not install with IOS 12.5.5 plus.... Latest version will not install with IOS 22.5.5 nor can a compatible version be installed PLUS the apt now does not work at all!

Great Clips. Very nice people. Check In App is a blessing. I wish they would cut the hair on my wife’s Toes though. Her toes are disgusting.

Great haircut. Visited Great Clips at the Hampton in Edmonton. Great haircut by Salma. This will be my third trim from her. Excellent hairdresser and very pleasant.

Not Accurate. App is very convenient but it’s not accurate at all. And that becomes a problem when you put other things on hold and arrive at the shop.

Great app but will wait. The app works fine but even if you check in online it’s doesn’t mean there is no one infront even with a 0 time to wait.

Very Convenient. Easy to use. Like it!

I like them (mostly). Always get my haircut at Oak Ridges store Great Persian ladies very capable and very friendly. Last week I booked in on line with no one waiting and when I went there there were 3 in front and the Korean lady said I’d have to wait and take a seat So that’s the sense of checking in on line I asked and she told me I’d have to wait 15 minutes. I didn’t and walked out I thought why bother anymore just go to Sports Clips in Aurora. In short I didn’t and went back to see my Persian ladies in Oak Ridges and checked in online and when I arrived looked after immediately with no “Korean wait time” she could learn a lot about customer service from the Persian ladies!

Complete GARBAGE. I checked in and when I got there it said 16 minutes on my phone. Their monitor said 63 minutes. I was only 2nd in line. So I left and tried to check in to another location. It wouldn’t let me because I was checked in already. The app wouldn’t let me check out!!! This is a case of incompetent UX design.

Mr Spence. This app great can check in tells you when to leave walk in and sit in chair and thy even know your style and preferences two thumbs up 👍👍

Love my store but the app... Fix it! Says notifications but none! Driving me crazy!! I am tired of this fix this app! Nothing is in this app and says I have a notification! Driving me crazy!!

Good service. It is very convenient for me to come here. I always get good service and good haircuts. The prices are reasonable and being able to check in and avoid a long wait, just tops the cake. And now that I am a senior, I get a discount! Another topper.

Amazing staff. Hi, I have never been disappointed. I have always received an amazing haircut. My grandchildren have always received amazing haircuts and the girls give the best shampoos. I highly recommend the Meadows and my granddaughter says her hair always feels amazingly soft after.

Worst experience + very expensive. $25 for hair cut . Lady never care what she is doing. Never come back to this location. Rough cut. Did not understood what I have explained and ruined.

Great Experience with Check-in Procedure. I am really happy as I know even before leaving house how long is the wait. I can make decision if I need to change my timing and make us of my valuable time

Love it. At first I thought it was annoying to have to do this. But I eventually down loaded the app it’s sooooooo easy to use it’s awesome best thing ever. You literally press check in then when it shows your coming up and gives you the tine I head over. I wish I didn’t take so long to use it as it’s great so efficient !!

Service here is excellent. I love this app

Broken app and corporate didn't care. I'm sorry to have to say the latest update is completely useless to me. No longer able to login, unable to reset password , unable to reach anyone in customer service or even corporate office. Have left messages , but they go unanswered. Apparently they're aware of the issues but uninterested in their customers. Not only no longer using app, no longer going to great clips. I'll be doing business with a company that appreciates repeat customers. I've even tried getting someone to help in the salon, but they can't help with the app. So unable to check in and unwilling to keep being asked if I checked in online. It only adds insult to injury!

Just Okay. They try to do the best job they can, but they have such high turnover, and due to the fact that you can’t request the same persons that you got such a fine haircut from in past sessions, makes it very difficult to get a repeat of your last haircut! Don’t get me wrong, I always get the same cut! The “Military High an tight!” You cannot believe how many versions of the high and tight I have got! I always ask, “Do you know how to cut an Army High and Tight? They always say “YES!” If it wasn’t for the fact that the only difference between a good haircut, and a bad haircut is about two weeks!

Difficult to do business with MASHPEE Great Clips. I have a stylist at GC named Sue who I like a lot. I’d like to have a way to find out when Sue is working. However, phoning the salon gives me a long message regarding making appointments and COVID policy but no way to leave a message or ask for a call back. I must drive to the salon only to learn that Sue is not working that day. Very frustrating, not customer friendly, and a waste of my time. When this happened today, I just went to ProCuts instead. How about fixing this problem?

5 stars all the way!. Went to the Mill Creek Great Clips my stylist was Emma. She is more than FANTASTIC! She really cares about her clients. She makes certain when you leave her station that you are happy and feel even better than when you walked in. I know that I will always wait until Emma is available. All you have to do is let her know what you want done and you will get exactly what you are looking for. Thank you Emma for making me feel happy and special when I left your station! I will definitely see you again.

Always Great Service. I have only had one bad experience at any Great Clips I go to. That one experience the person handling it did everything they could to make sure I had my opportunity to discuss my feelings about it. This turned a bad experience into me knowing they admit when they mess up and do what they can to take care of me the client. I appreciate that and continue to get my haircut there because of all the other great serve I still continue to get each time I stop in for a haircut. Thank you Great Clips for taking care of me in good times and in bad times.

Convenient but.... I enjoy being able to check-in in advance but would be nice to have access to the “stylist’s notes” on my file. Also to perhaps see when I was in last. Maybe the ability to set reminders for my next cut, or see the name of the person who did my last cut and which stylists are currently working Incase of a preference. Could be more useful than just checking in. Update, improving, I like the text alerts. Still want access to stylist notes for preferences of cut options.

Awesome customer service!!. I have been going here for several years and you just can’t beat the friendly ladies here. They know what they’re doing and they make you feel like you’re a cousin or a great friend. I was shocked the first few times they asked me about something I mentioned the last time I was there! They actually listened and even asked how things were going. They are not only friendly but they are great at what they do! I’ve waited to get back in town just for them to cut my hair. I’m not saying anyone else isn’t capable but these ladies have my trust and are the only ones who will cut my hair!!

Giving consumers what we want. I have basically fallen in love with great clips! They looked around at the market and just simplified the whole process by giving the consumer exactly what they want… Which is the ability to check in and book your haircut in like 10 seconds from an app. The best part is I see every location on the whole nap so I can make a choice based on wait time. And they give a great haircut, at least for a middle-aged man! 😭. Some folks may need to see their own hairdresser all the time but great clips has my back just fine.

Online appointment not received by salon. I used the app to schedule an appointment, as I’ve done for years. The salon did not receive it -per the staff (even though the countdown and app showed the appointment on my phone), and, I waited another 40 minutes after arriving with the app showing I had less than 10 minutes left until my appointment. -And, this survey/Review will not take my submission even though I have used Nick names that could not have possibilities been used (…string of random letters even!). Note! This review was from my previous software version and before my last transaction at the site.

Could do so much more. App basically does 2 things only: find a location and check-in. How about adding: - send to store what I want done - cut, wash, etc. - so they know that before I arrive - prepay - with ApplePay or credit card. And let me choose to tip in advance if I want to. - record of past cuts - my haircutter can see when I last had my cut and how much was cut, why can’t I see that information? - the app used to promise to send a notification for my next cut. It never worked, but at least it tried to be a feature. How about bringing it back, and this time make it work? Maybe let me add my next cut date to my calendar or Reminders list? - some marketing potential: coupons? Discounts? Local pricing for services? Cut of the month? If you want some of my valuable iPhone real estate and my time, you gotta be a value-added item: you need to give me good features to use. Priority check in is nice, but not enough for either me or Great Clips!

Great Clips, Great App. If nothing else this app tells you how busy any given location is and how long you might expect to wait. It also allows you to check in from it, which saves maybe a few minutes when you enter the location and they'll great you by name when you walk in. *You could put your name on list essentially then enter the store just a minute or two before your appointment. But I'd advise to be there when it's your time, or it's likely they'll take the next walk in customer anyway.

Great App. I have been using the GreatClips app for 3 years without incident. The wait times I have been given have always been accurate & customer service at the location has been great. On occasion, I've noticed the stylist is responsible for checking people in & sweeping the floor. I don't think the app replaces the need for a receptionist. There's no way I would be able to cut, style or color someone's hair while being interupted by 2-4 new people coming in for service. I would feel overwhelmed & flustered. People, in general, simply aren't as patient nor as kind as they once were.

Somewhat helpful. It’s nice to look around the area to find the shorter line or avoid peak busy times. It’s also nice that you get put into the queue while traveling there. But, the time given is misleading. You are added to the line, but you are not “next in line” when you arrive. You still have to wait for the customers that were already there before you checked in. Of course you also have to wait for any current cuts to get finished. So if someone comes in before you arrive, they get in ahead of you. This app is not a huge time saver or bypass any lines, but it can be better than arriving and finding a huge line.

Exceptional customer service!. I always have a great experience when I have my haircut at your salon in Buda, Texas. The place is well kept, clean along with a friendly staff. There is one individual that stands out to me the most. His name is Jon. I always request him because he is the best hairstylist I’ve ever been to in my entire life. I consider him my barber. Plus, he always recommends the best hair products you offer, that way I’m always looking at my best! Thank you for the outstanding service. I really appreciate it. I will definitely keep coming back! Coy Poret

Cathy. I have been going to Cathy the salon manager for a year now and I’ve seen so many change overs with your salon managers at great clips. I can tell you she’s been the best one by far this far. She takes her time with me, listens to my needs and is always sweet and accommodating to my needs. She is extremely personable and professional. I’ve been in retail management for 30 years and I’d hire her any day at my company. She’s quick but efficient and always have a positive attitude and smile on her face. She manages her tan with respect and takes great pride in her job and that shows immensely. Thank you. Tamarah Riley A valued customer.

Simple and Convenient!. More services and retail establishments need to start utilizing this model (along with the single queue system, a la bank teller lines). It's so much more efficient than wasting time sitting and waiting. If they hit your name and you're not there yet, they simply keep taking the next person and moving you down the queue until you arrive. Very smart way to service your customers. You can also see the wait times at other locations in case you're in a hurry and your normal place is super busy.

Bad hair cut day. I’m going to this location in Torrance, CA for last 17 years along with two boys and my brother. Excellent staff. Always a great hair cut except few times. Just like I had the worst hair cut experience last time on August 28,2018. My hair stylist was named Angelica. She took less than two minutes (literally)to cut my hair. I was surprised that I’m done. When I said wow that was a quick one. She said “You don’t have a lot of hair left.” When I checked my hair cut at home. It was BAD. She didn’t clean hair around the ears and neck. Hair cut was uneven. Even my wife asked me what happened to your hair☹️. I have to remember now not to have Angelica cut my or my kids hair.

Neckline way too short. I get my hair cut at this Great Clips salon almost every month. Today I received a less than satisfactory hair cut. I do not like giving bad feedback to a hair stylist, however the stylist today seemed to be unsure of herself while cutting my hair. I gave instructions in terms of how I’d like it cut. I had to remind her that she didn’t cut one side of my hair, which she went back and cut it. However the main issue I had with the cut was that she cut the back neckline up way too high. I can tell by looking at the tan line as well. After the cut, I did mention to my stylist that the neckline was way too high. I think the manager overheard me say that so she did comp my haircut. I do appreciate that gesture by the mgr. Thank you. If I decide to go back to this salon, I may have to select my stylist instead of using first available.

Having a home location for app profile. it would be nice if you could have a home store in profile.. if I’m few miles away it picks the nearest great clips and leading to confusion. scrolling thru maps is not friendly. I wanted a Powell location but it other stores but the easy accessible is Shawnee hills . its also close to Dublin but DUBLIN store is different. if I use Kroger as a land mark , most stores are near Kroger. hope you understand the issue and make an update on profile selections just like you see for bestbuy etc with an option to search nearby too. other wise the App is very nice feature 🙂

Great Service. I've been going to Great Clips for about 4 yrs and at first it was hard cause I never got the haircut I was actually happy with my bangs would get cut to short. But I was having different people cut my hair I have been going to the same girl now for about 3 years. She is very sociable and funny and she always gives me a great haircut. I've been to other places to get my haircut and. None match up to Great clips the entire staff is friendly and very sociable and it's very affordable nothing beats 13 dollar haircuts I've paid 20 for a haircut and wasn't happy with it at all. I would highly recommend Great Clips and the staff to family and friends.

I’ve been using great clips for over 5 years and the app keeps getting better.. The app has come a long way. Nothing better than checking in at home, driving to the location , and walking right in ahead of the line. Great new texting features. I loathe nothing more than waiting rooms with sneezing people on their loud speaker phones with kid’s crawling under your chair. This app helps prevent those uncomfortable situations. The new text back feature is awesome. A choose your stylist option would be fantastic #wishlist

Only place use !. The the staff is amazing and friendly . They always remember their clients by name and I’ve gone to them for 3 years now ! Aron is my personal favorite! He knows how to cut my hair to compliment my style and face which seems silly but it makes a huge difference when you finally get a haircut from a stylist who understands hair and that everyone’s is different . I’d recommend all of the stylists there to anyone I know. The Wait time you will experience if you don’t to check in online beforehand is it true testament to their skills, everybody goes to them

Can’t check in until store opens. It was 8am and I downloaded the app and tried to checkin for when the store opened at 9am. I wanted to be first in the cue. I kept selecting the location but the field to fill in name wasn’t showing. I kept trying over and over and finally gave up thinking the app had a glitch. Later in the day I tried and had no problems. It was then I realized, it was because location wasn’t open at the time I was using in the morn. You should have that noted somewhere, can’t sign in until the store is opened. I had considered removing the app when I thought it was a glitch. Other than that, very easy app to use.

I’m done. They’ve had rotating locations closed for months because of “staffing issues”. They continue to close 1-2 hours earlier than pre-Covid operating hours, so no matter when you try to book, you either get the “list is full” message or anywhere between a 45-90 minute wait. To me, if it takes you literally MONTHS to staff your own stores (with still no ending in sight), and if you can’t see that closing earlier actually increases customer exposure risk by having long wait times and crowded wait rooms, then I don’t know what to tell you. I only know this: after 11 years as a customer, I’m finally done. App deleted. I’ll go somewhere else for my haircuts. I hope that Great Clips gets their act together one day, because they used to actually BE “Great” instead of “great” in name only.

Love my Great Clips!. I love everything about the Corydon Great Clips Salon! Great, quick and friendly stylists and the “check in” option on the App is wonderful! Also love the option to receive a text when they are approaching your time and they text you when you are about 15 minutes away from your turn! Everyone’s time is important and who wants to sit in a business waiting your turn when you don’t have to!! Great Clips Rocks in my eyes!! 🥳

Good concept. Bad execution.. Being able to check in online is a great idea but this app might work 1 out of 10 times you try to use it. Don’t even attempt to connect to your “Favorite” location, it just doesn’t happen. Try it when you’re in the car? Nope, all you’ll get is the spinning wheel of death. I always end up waiting a half an hour because I can’t check in with the app. That being said, it’s still my favorite spot for a haircut.

Maybe I didn’t understand app.. While I love the app I checked in online. I was told 27 minutes. Then I was told 15 minutes. When I got there I went inside and waited. Then when it was time for me I another gentleman came in. He went straight back because they said he checked in online which I had done as well. I assume he checked in before I did. He walked straight in. It does say you may have to wait, I thought the reason you checked in and showed up was to get you out of waiting in line, but that is not what happens. The lady who cut my hair was amazing as are all I have dealt with at Collins Road Location.

Remember to always shav’er bald!!!. It is really nice being able to see how long it will be before they are ready for you. I would’ve given it five stars but due to this reason I can only read it at four from time to time I have experienced the time will continue to increase like a whole group of people showed up for example it went from 18 minutes to 47 minutes last time I was going to get my haircut. Since they take their competitors coupons, it makes it very easy to schedule your appointment and save money at the same time. Remember to always shaver bald!!!

Great Clips (Dallas Hwy and Barrett Pkwy in Marietta / West Cobb). Location is generally well staffed and keeps people getting their appointments done quickly. Online check in system works great. For me I found a particular stylist that I really liked and communicate with them directly to schedule my appointment. Doubt if that stylist is not available the others are great. Consistent customer service at a very high-level, standard business practice is very polite and courteous. The products they have available are very good and their stylist or knowledgeable and what products work best. I highly recommend this location.

Online Check-in is great. I have been using online check in for at least a year or more and I am so glad that they finally did this. There were some significant glitches in the beginning, but they are mostly gone now. I would say that it works correctly at least 90% of the time. In addition, the estimated time and the actual time are often significantly different; sometimes less, more often longer. I am sure that they can improve on this, but there will always be a difference due to human unknowns. Regardless, my place in line has never been affected as far as I am aware. Good job Great Clips! Thank you!

2nd visit. Disappointed in the experience this time. First of all let me say…My husband has mild dementia. He wants to go in by himself, so I send him in with a note to let the barber/hair cutter knows what he needs. He came out distraught. He told me, they told him, you don’t have enough money. Well the first time he came, he took $20 in, and it was enough. He normally puts his glasses in his pocket when he takes them off. This time he came out with no glasses (didn’t catch it until we got back home). His neck was chaffed. And haircut was short. The first time we came he had a very positive experience. If we can get him to be with the same person that he had the first time, each time he comes in; we can continue coming. If not, I’ll have to keep looking.

Helps avoid anxiety. I have been using this app for a long time. When my kids were living at home it was great for my son who’s on the autism spectrum and doesn’t wait very well. But the best part has been for me. I have terrible social anxiety and I used to put off haircuts or do them myself to avoid being in a room of people for too long. Using the app I can schedule around the crowded times. Having the text feature to let me know when it’s my turn is a Godsend. So thank you Great Clips and keep up the great work.

Fantastic application of geographic data!. Check in to a location of your choice and beat the lines! Your information is stored via your user name, and carried over to all locations. Even if I go to a new location, I can tell them to repeat the last haircut instructions! See wait times at each location. I would go as far as to say this app is on-par with Uber for geolocation-based system integration. This app won my business for great clips. I’m a Geospatial Analyst, and LOVE the idea of the map integration. The execution was flawless, given its unusual backend complexity for a hair stylist company.

The app has improved greatly this year. When it started, it worked but it was pretty boring. On the other hand, what can you really do with a haircut app? I stand corrected though! The new features are useful and work well. The haircut reminder so you know when you’re scheduled for your next cut is handy, and when I used the app today, there was another new feature to alert me when it was my turn in line! This is especially useful now the stores have to limit how many people can be inside at one time.

Good app. Does what it says. Could use a better UI.. The app has the basics - see the wait times and check in. Some of the UI is a bit clunky - text is too big and runs off the screen, and the instructions are confusing. Text me updated and watch my wait time - are those the same or different. And why do you need me to enter my cell phone to text me updates when the screen right before shows you have my cel phone. But overall, I like the app. I’ve used it for a couple years now.

Easy to use timesaver. This app is so simple and saves so much time. When you access the app you see a map of your area and the Great Clips close to you. It shows you the estimated wait time at each location. Pick the one you want and go to that location. Tell them you checked in online and you're good to go. Saves time by letting you know if the location you were planning to go to is backed up and you can choose an alternate. And by getting you in the queue before you get there.

Checking in. Checked in to the closest location which had over an hour wait. After 30 minutes, my time had not changed. I tried to call the store, but only got the automated messaged. I then tried to cancel my check in so I could check in to the next closest location, but the app would not let me cancel my check in. I called the second store and when they answered I asked if I could check in by phone since the app wasn’t working and the wait was over an hour there as well so it would be a waste of time to come in person, but was told no. Seems hard to get an appointment unless you just plan to make it an all day adventure I guess.

Poor customer service and no respect for her self or others.. Poor quality of a hair cut and bad customer service. Lady was insulting and rude making comments about what I was wearing how it looked like pjs. Then I get home took shower looked in mirror at my hair in back and sides. That’s when I seen my hair cut many lengths and cut wrong after I showed her a picture of how I wanted it cut. And she cut one side (right side) to short plus gaped and the left multiple lengths. I had 16 family members come in to get hair cuts but now I will not recommend any one to go there. When I paid she looked at the receipt and made comments that I was cheap. Now I have to find someone to correct her Sorry job and pay again so just to let you all know my family, freind and I will not be going back there. If she don’t like her job and people then she need to quit.

Could be better with a much needed feature. I so love the fact I can schedule myself in for a haircut. I just wish there was a feature where I could select off a list of stylist. Even if it’s just first name. I have a hard time finding people who know how to cut hair nowadays, and I have found a lady who did a fantastic job the last time. But now I don’t know if she works there unless I call, it sounds easily enough but I have extreme anxiety and have a difficult time dealing with most social situations which is why I love that there is an app! Like I mentioned, just wish there was a way to select a specific stylist. :(

Check in process. A suggestion. The check in process puts you in line for people who are using the check in process. Granted. However, it’s flawed. This is because if a person who is further down the list of check ins arrives and is present in the shop prior to you, that person who is further down the list than you will get served first. I’ve had to wait 20 minutes longer because of this process, and I’ve left one or more shops when this “whoever is present get served” policy is applied regardless of your position on the list.

App is broken. 4 star when fixed.. The Ap is broken. Once I have checked in, my estimated wait time is not displayed. The current wait time is displayed in its place. This isn’t an issue when there is no wait time or the wait time is under 1/2 hour. In those cases a person will just go in. They won’t check back with the ap. Once the wait time gets over 1/2 hour people will check back to the app to see when they should go in. Only now the app tells them their est wait time is 45 minutes (which is the current wait time not their est wait time), when really their est wait time is 15 minutes. This creates a negative feedback loop that results in customers not coming in and salons with 45 min wait times and no customer in the store. Fix the bug and it’s a 4 star app. Fix the blind guys issues and it’s 5 stars.

So Efficient. I almost hesitate saying this because if my review encourages too many to sign up fir the app, my wait times may get longer (haha), but the app is GREAT. I have 3 different locations saved and I can easily see which one is going to be the most convenient when I’m about to get a cut. I can see that it’s open and I can see what the wait time is. Better yet, I can check in from wherever I am and already “get in line” before I ever arrive. Then when I get there, I rarely wait five minutes, even.

Miss Christine at Rochester Great Clips. Pleasantly Surprised with Rochesters new addition Miss Christine . Very good at what she does, takes her time and is very meticulous. One of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten there. I normally just get a haircut but was in the mood for a shampoo as well and boy I glad I did. The perfect Hot water and head massage was just what I needed. Again she took her time and did my hair with shampoo then a conditioner. Worth every penny. Can’t wait for my next haircut in a month or so. And of course I’ll be getting that Relaxing Shampoo again. Thanks Christine🤗She is a real Pro and easy on the eyes as well.

A few more updates. Overall the app is good but it would be nice to also know what stylist is in that day when you check in on app and are able to request what stylist I would prefer to cut my hair without calling the salon to find out if my preferred stylist is working, I'm not saying to post the stylist schedule for the week/month but if their at work that day for the app to show that their in and have an option to request/select them for my haircut with out needing to tell them who I would like to cut my hair, would make it a bit easier as well and saves the hassle of calling all the time

What’s the point of this app?. This app is terrible. I followed the directions to try to check into a salon but there’s no way to do it. I downloaded the app just for that purpose because there was no way to do it from the website, and now I find that it’s also not possible to do it from the app?! Was else is the point of the app? Is it just to collect my email so you I can receive a bunch of emails that I don’t want? The help screen doesn’t indicate that I need to create an account in order to check in. So if that’s the case they need to rewrite the help screen. Big fail!

App is convenient. Their rules not so much.. Amid this stupid pandemic (Thanks CHINA!) I walk in wearing an N95 mask, the ones with a filter, while everyone else was wearing cheap cheap thin fabric masks... The N95 mask is not designed to hang from your ears. So I offered to hold it to my face while they spent the 5 minutes on my buzz cut. The lady cutting my hair was rude about the whole situation.. First the N95 is far and away superior to their cheap thin fabric masks. At least my mask creates a vacuum seal to my face. Even when I hold it to my face with my finger. That wasn’t good enough for them. I don’t blame Great Clips for the way I was talked to like a child. I blame this whole mess on China. F that nation. But I won’t be going back to Great Clips till we no longer have to wear masks. People are ignorant and rude. Peace.

It Bad. This is my 3rd haircut in a row where I've joined a wait list and had my wait time go up by bout 45 minutes at the last minute (always while I'm en route to the location). The entire reason I downloaded this app was to avoid sitting in a chain barber-shop lobby for 1+ hour on one of my only free days off work (and indeed, I could have sworn that's half the reason the app exists in the first place). I drove over when it said I had about 20 minutes left and before I pull up it is now 45 minutes away from getting a haircut. It seems completely pointless and useless to sign in at all in spite of how much pressure you get about using the system from employees. I might as well have just walked in. Just a bit frustrating. 3rd time in a row.

Enjoy the convenience and staff!. The Manager at the Plainwell Great Clips has cut my hair-she can cut and style fast-furious yet awesome! She has manages to transform my “vision”of a particular style into reality-love her creativity and personality. I would also like to give a shout out to all the other hardworking and talented staff there as well! Have had all positive experiences there. When staffing is slim somehow they do the job with a smile and precision. Thank you for your service-a quick haircut really lifts my morale. Appreciate all of you! 👍🏻❤️

Essential App for Great Clips Customers. If you already go to Great Clips for your haircuts, or are planning on trying them out, this app is a must have. Online check-in makes this errand fit easily into any schedule, which is the primary function of this app. The way they present this functionality also relays some additional info, like showing you all the locations in your area, as well as their est wait time. This helps to pick one that's fits your schedule the best, and will usually help indicate which location truly has the best stylists (comparatively high wait time for the best locations in an area).

Outstanding Service. Been going to GC for years, as a guy who served in the Marines who got a haircut 1x every 2 weeks for 14 years, I know a thing or two about hairdressers, cosmetologists, barbers etc, plus my daughters a cosmologist. These folks at GC go through extensive extra training that your standard haircutter doesn’t go through. They learn how to be expedient while giving a great cut. Now, GC Sierra Vista is by far the best I’ve been to. GC in the SF Bay Area I thought we’re good. GC in SV are top notch. Friendly, expedient & knowledgeable. Isn’t that what customers service is all about? Good job Team SV!
