Great App for soundtracks!. Love this App! As a choir director whatever I use it has to be reliable every time! I use this app on 3 different devices: choir iPad is set up to run split tracks L/R to two channels, specials iPad is set up to run to a single channel, then there is my iPhone which keeps me ready no matter where I go if I am called upon to sing. I have all my tracks with me everywhere I go. This has become an indispensable tool! Great job!

A dud on the iPad. I dropped this app on the iPad 1. It refuses to see playlists in iTunes, including playlists generated directly on the iPad. I wish I could get my money back. It never worked, not even once. Plus, the link to the developer's website is a) a broken link and b) has no useful method of getting support for the application. I should have known it was a lightweight app when the author's other claim to fame is an app to guestimate bra sizes.

Just what I've been looking for!. As a performing musician, this is EXACTLY what I have been looking for since I first started loading tracks into my iPod to perform with. You won't believe what a BIG difference this will make for your live performance. No more botched tracks or scrambling to stop the ipod before it kicks into the next song. This is seriously AWESOME

Great concept but no support. This app worked great on iOS 4 but has not worked on 5. I try to open but it crashes. What's worse is that there's no alternative app anywhere.

Cool interface but really needs an update badly.. Cool interface but hasn’t been updated in a very long time now. 4 years? Has performance problems on my 2021 iPad Pro. Had to stop using it. There’s no way to change the order of songs in a playlist or add songs to a playlist. The interface only works in the vertical orientation. Currently, songs aren’t playing in the grid layout and switching to the button interface comes to a different song.

Please UPDATE!. Fantastic app, if it would only stop crashing. Please help and fix this issue.

Reliable, simple and useful!. Finally an an app that made playing tracks back without the worry of the next track playing on. I had issues in the past with playing back from the "big button" but ended up using the "pad" type start button. I also had to delete and re-install the app so it would stop crashing on me. Ive been using an IPhone 3Gs with OS5 and no issues after the app was re-installed!

Can’t access playlists now. I was pleased with this app’s functioning, but then upgraded my phone to iOS 10 and now it doesn’t see my playlists, so it’s no use at all.

Power in Simplicity. This is a well designed app that doesn't try to do too much. It works quite well to trigger sound for performances--theater, dance, and the like. When you are in a dark space and you need the right cue and iTunes won't cut it. It is easy to use and does a few specific things well. Hopefully the developers will keep it simple, haven't found a better tool for cueing live sound.

Mostly works. This app works on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 in ios 5. However - on the iPad the pause button does not always appear after pressing play.. Can't pause.. - also the app is locked in the "portrait" mode. Doesn't rotate with the iPad - I will probably only use this on the iPhone until a new update addresses the pause problem. Not a problem on the iphone

Awesome update!. I liked it okay enough before, but this new version is really nice! It crashed a few times after I tried it, but I discovered the playlist I was referencing was empty (it closed and caused some random other music to play which was weird, but oh well). Now I tried it with a bunch of songs in a real playlist and it’s much better. This is a great app to use for dance shows, etc. from a iPhone. Couple things would enhance it further; being able to make a playlist within the app itself (not referencing iTunes playlists), maybe even ability to use music from other music apps (Amazon or Spotify if the song was downloaded), the song time counters (up/remaining) ought to be much bigger and prominent, and it would be even more great if the volume for each track in the playlist was saved with the “show”. Awesome work and a useful tool for anyone not wanting to spend way more for QLab/Go Button! Sometimes this is all you need!!!

No updates within a year.. Used this app for some time now. Has a few glitches but guess no fixes. Hasn’t been updated within a year. Noticed a volume drop while song plays that it didn’t have. Sometimes when touching a new song the last song keeps playing. Also noticed a crack looking streak across the second button for what ever reason. Guess programmer lost interest in updating it. Was great! Over a year now.

Great Tool for Live Performance!. This is a great tool for performers who need backing tracks to play along with. The simplicity of the interface makes it perfect for the live setting. It's about time that someone came up with the ability to pause between songs in a playlist! Thanks for making this. It will greatly simplify my whole set up.

Perfect for live performance. This is a great app. Works perfectly and looks impressive. If you ever need music or sound effects during a live show, get this app. It plays the song and pauses before the next track in your playlist. I'd really like to see a version of this for the iPad!!!

Pretty good but.... I found this app when I was looking for a way to play lots of sounds on my full-scale R2D2, vs using a 12 channel rf remote and suggested this to other builders as well. Overall it works great, but things I'd like to see are: better volume control- event though I have this going through a Bluetooth speaker it would be nice to get more volume- in big crowds with the phone volume up all the way the app is too quiet. Sometimes I just want to play the sounds from my phone speaker when I have R2's power off and they're too quiet. Also, it would be nice to drag and drop sounds into groups. I have 100 different sounds for R2, and have them pretty well organized in my playlist, but I'd like to have say only happy sounds on one screen, sad on another, and so on- and in some cases I only have 6 sounds for a set and don't want 3 other sounds for a different emotion on the same screen. Otherwise it's a pretty useful app.

Crashes. Just bought this... Crashes right out of the box...please fix. My friend showed me this and I need it playback on shows sometimes.

AMAZING app!!!. This thing is absolutely perfect. I have 3 musician friends that recently bought iPads just to use this app. They should charge way more money for this and it would still be a bargain. It solves so many problems with playing backing tracks with a live band. Every band and DJ out there should have this. Thanks for such a great product!

Not compatible. Downloaded and will not let me import a playlist. No help to tell me how or get a refund. Don’t download this.

When it plays it is so so. So, you have to create a playlist in the order that you want before you import it. You cannot rearrange that once it is imported. You are stuck with the order as is it is in the playlist. 15 tiles per page is a little shy of the 20 that I am used to. To tap a tile will sometimes play the cue most times it doesn’t. To play from the play page, you may get the song that is displayed but most times you get the next song in the line up. Extremely frustrating to use. The % indicator in the center of the play screen doesn’t give a clear indicator as to what that % is related to. Supposedly the tile is supposed to show the progress of the track as it plays, it turns yellow when it plays(and that is a hit or miss) and then is suppose to turn blue showing what has been played. Not so much. I have been using another track play back app that allows a tap and drag to arrange. You cannot choose a tile and tap it for play. Hit or miss at best. And mostly miss. Good thing it was only $1.99+ tax. Very disappointed. A great concept but execution is absolutely abismal!

Perfect app for live performance. This app is absolutely perfect for a band that uses backing tracks in their performances. You can easily load any set list on your iPad into it, and change the set list at any time. The "que pad" buttons are awesome for selecting any particular song from the list, and the very large play button makes it easy to start tracks when needed (live). If you play live with backing tracks GET IT.

Cool app if it worked on the iphone4. Really liked this app. Musician friendly. However, it. Won't load up anymore. Still works on IPad. However, the quickcue pads sometimes call the wrong song, a major drag!! Please fix as this app has a good potential to be the best out there!

LiveTrax. I just lost my entire library of my karaoke tracks! Wow! Thank God I have them all on iTunes!

Broke after iOS 14.2 update. This was the best track player out there, but after the latest iOS update it no longer works and app creators are no where to be found. Time to look for a new app or an old iPad.

Something went wrong. This has always been one of my best apps, but now for some reason, it just stopped working correctly. I deleted it and reinstalled, but still wouldn’t work right.

App crashes instantly on iPhone6. Please create an update to make this app compatible with the newest iPhone6. Completely disfunctional at the moment. Help!!

Crashes on iPhone 5.1. Great app. I use it on iPad and it works great. However crashes every time I open it up on my iPhone. Try to report the problem and the app support link goes nowhere.

I would give 5 stars but.... This app is great except 2 fatal flaws: 1. If you are playing a song and you accidentally tap the select set list, your track does a hard stop! Yikes! And this button is so close to the arrow (play) button that is a disaster that will most certainly happen. 2. Same disaster will happen if you hit the right "options" button. Move them to the top of the screen, disable the hard stop and I will gladly give you 5 states.

Music and audio pros NEED this app.. If you've been frustrated using your iPod / iPhone to play back music in any sort of mission-critical application, no doubt you've been frustrated as I have with the interface and features o the built-in music player. Don't get me wrong, it's great for what Apple designed it for, but the iPod was engineered for the world of consumers, not music and audio professionals. I've seen people spend hundreds of dollars on dedicated hardware to do what this little $2 app and an iPhone will do. Best app ever.

Hmm. This would be great if it didn’t crash every other track I played...wish I could get a refund. :(

No longer working with iOS update. This program worked great for a couple years . I used it live on stage in front of thousands of people unfortunately with the new iOS update the program is no longer working. Reached out to Tech Support no response

No longer working. I’ve used this app for a couple of years and it’s worked just as I’ve needed it to. But about a month ago, the app has mysteriously stopped working. It will no longer play any tracks except the last track on the screen. I’ve tried other playlists with the same result. I’ve email the company/app developer explaining that the app doesn’t work a few weeks ago, and the company still has not replied or attempted to remedy the issue. I tried calling the phone number earlier today and got an automatic Verizon voicemail saying this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. Maybe Apple can reach out to the developers and find some answers?

Staggeringly Useful App!. Apps live or die because of little details. LiveTrax gets many things right. Musicians who play with backing tracks & Live Sound FX engineers will love how quickly you can cue & retrigger songs or sounds. Kudos for this killer app!

The best!!. I sing Christian music. As a soloist, I need to have instant access to all my tracks immediately. LiveTrax is exactly what I needed. I've used it for several years now, and NEVER had a problem. Flawless & awesome!!

Almost perfect. Loving the upgrades with version 2. App feels way more responsive. Only two gripes: Wish there was an option in preferences for it to default to "cue pads" when switching between playlists. Also wish the volume in the app and master volume were one and the same, sometimes the ipod buttons control the app volume, sometimes the master volume.

Couldn’t import direct from the file. Do I have to use iTunes to load a file? Why will it not just airdrop into the app?

Almost perfect. Finally a single play app for live musicians BUT: 1. needs a lyrics view button/page to display lyrics written into ID3 tags 2. In my backing track playlist I have hundreds of songs so needs a standard song picker (like iPod) with shortcut letters on the RH side (like iPod song picker)

Great App and great support!. A colleague of mine suggested I try LiveTrax after seeing me struggle on-stage with a different app. Once he showed me the User Interface on his iPad I just had to try it out. I wasn't disappointed. It was so easy to use that I could even run tracks easily from my iPhone (I always keep my tracks on my phone as a back-up in case my iPad fails). Other musicians who have seen me use the app (and how could they not notice with that huge play button!) have asked me about it and I encouraged them to try it out. Best of all was customer support. I wrote to the developer, Marty Friend, about some concerns I had with the interface and suggested some improvements to help further prevent any embarrassing mis-cues on stage. To my pleasant surprise, I received an almost immediate, and direct, response from Mr. Friend. My suggestions were considered and improvements were quickly implemented in an update. Very Professional!
