Pretty good. This app is pretty good because it does offer you step by step details on how a problem is done, and some! The only thing that needs to be fixed is if you want to divide something or use a rational, the sign only correlates to one part. For instance if you try to divide 3x+2, it will only divide the 3x, not the rest of the product. Either it doesn't work or I'm using it wrong. Anyway pretty good app.

Irritating. Entering formulas is cumbersome, backspace always deletes from the end, even if you click to change the cursor position. So if you made a mistake in the first few characters be ready to rewrite the whole thing. There’s no way to calculate the derivative of second order of an implicit function. That’s disappointing. And I’ve only used it for ten minutes.

Calc 1 only!. This is a great app for people taking calculus the FIRST year! It has helped me a lot! Once you're on the 2nd yr of calculus, then it will become limited for you.

Awesome!. This app is great, the only issue is it gives ln answers as though they were logs. Other than that I am 100% satisfied!!!

Get raid of ur calculators!. This is awesome. It works without any crash or problem. With this app, Im not using calculator anymore. Be aware, It needs internet connection.

No step-by-step??. My friend had this app and it derived everything for him while showing the step-by-step solution. Having the step-by-step is extremely crucial for me in calc 2 because I need to learn the method of integrals. I noticed that some answers shows step-by-step and some don't. Trig integrals have multiple form of answers and I like to know which method achieves what. It'll be nice to know all the possible forms of answers as well; however, it doesn't seem like this app have that feature. This bugs me because I paid $3.99 for the step-by-step. If I simply want to check my answers I'll just go on their free site to acquire it.

Okay. My only complaint is that it doesn't show steps for finding limits but it's worth the extra couple of bucks for the actual mathematic buttons verses typing out commands.

First review ever. This app is a life saver.

Great. Does what it is designed to-do. Its great for quick homework help and checking solutions to equations. Answer explanations are also helpful but can be confusing. Overall though, I would recommend this app for any Calculus student who needs to check homework solutions/need a detailed explanation of how to complete certain derivatives or limit functions.

Joke. Limited and basically no useful. Case in point; in the few definitions it offers states that the MVT has an alternate name AVT. Yes mean and average are synonymous but really. Don’t wast we your money. Refund please.

Amazing !. It simply knows the answer to any calculus problem. Best calculus program ever. It allows me to check my answers and see the steps plus it shows multiple solutions. 5 stars.

Problems editing equations. When I try to delete something midway in the text that I have already writen and put the line right behind what I want to delete and press delete, the line goes back to the end of the equation and deletes the last character. Other than that, very helpful but it is very annoying when you have multiple similar equations where it just needs one change near the begining, especially on long equations. iPhone 4, 4.2.1, not jailbroken. App version 1.0.0

Amazing. I'd pay $20 for this app honestly. I'm not a math major or anything but for business/management, but this app helped me alot!!!

Heaven on Earth. This app saved me from my tedious online math course! I’m not bad at math, but this app surely will help you understand calculus and save you a lot of time when it comes to long exercises. It takes time to understand how it works, otherwise, worth it 100%.

Awesome -. - Update - You have a little bug - On the iPhone 4, if the app is running and the phone goes to sleep, when you wake up the phone, the app crashes. I can live with that, the app is still cool. This app is awesome. I am a Calc 2 student and this app has helped me out a lot - Some people complained that you can go to the website and do the math, but the app has a better interface. For 2.99, its perfect.

Okay.... This app is a love hate relationship. I love it because it helps me so much in college. But i hate it because its such a pain! Since the update, it crashes when you change between options, frustrating! Before the update i wouldve given 5/5 but its become more of a chore than a help

Just Stick With WolframAlpha. This app used to be good, but they haven't updated it in ages. Trying to do complex things, such as computing an integral, will now result in an "unrecognized characters" error, which was one of the main reasons I got this in the first place. Seriously, WolframAlpha can do everything this app can; your time and efforts are better spent with it.

Time to update. Great and helpful app, and I know the good people at wolfram are busy, but its time for: retina iPad support; Being able to backspace where the "cursor" is, not the end of the equation; And more explanation with sequences and series (by test).

What happened to step by step?. This used to be a 5 star app, but recently I have found that it no longer gives the step by step instructions that it used to give. The button is still there, but when you press it nothing happens. It just shows the same thing (no steps) but offers to hide the steps that aren't there.

It works!!. If your in calculus and you don't have this app, get it! It really help me pass calc I, it doe step by step for any problem you have. The only problem is when you input it's like a 5 second lag.

Wow...terrible. Calculus requires the ability to do derivatives numerous ways. This app can only do 1 of those. There isn't even a key for delta. This app is good ONLY if you need to check your answers(which any free online solver can do for you) I feel extremely cheated.

Amazing. For one...anyone saying that you can't save the formula...it's called copy paste...and anyway, this has helped me tremendously in my high school calc class.. Amazing application...being able to see the answer to almost any problem I have as well as seeing how to get there helps tremendously when I have nowhere else to go just before a test Or on homework....again, amazing application, no problems whatsoever

Internet Connection?. I love this app so far, being a physical science major college student who didn't do so well in calculus. But sometimes when I need to use it where no internet connection is available, say, at Chicago O'Hare, this app is not anywhere near helpful. :( Hope to see offline database introducing in future updates!

Save equation. You have to re input the equation for each different function of this app. It's so annoying. You also should be able to better manipulate the graph.

Giving error. Giving a certificate error please fix

Highly Recommended. This app has helped me to resolve so many homework problems of integration and almost always provided me the steps to solve the problem. Great!!

Simply Excellent!. As an AP calculus student, I'm thankful for such an incredibly easy to use application. It knows all answers and explains solutions step by step in detail. Excellent app! Definitely worth the $3. I'll be using this app extensively in college.

Bugging. Before the latest update this app worked fine now it's irritatingly unresponsive and getting on my nerves seriously they screwed it big time and need to fix the bugs

Decent. This app is alright, however I must say it is extremely limited. Calculus is so much more. I'm in a college calculus class and this app realistically helps me out 3 times out of 10. On the next update increase capability. There is so much more that needs to be entered in on certain circumstances to get too the correct answer & this app only solves the basic minimum. It's really more for a pre calculus high school class. For those in a college level calculus class this app is not as extensive as it needs to be at all. Word to the developer: Pearson's math lab calculus class is what I was using this for. Many colleges are using this now. Study the calculus class on Pearson's "my mathlab" and design this app around it. Trust me it will benefit the developer and the student.

Good app.. I like the user interface. All the solvers are great to not waste so much time on hw. I noticed though that with higher order derivatives, it doesn't show how it was solved. And the app froze up on me twice when it was trying to compute a derivative. It stayed on the computing screen for a few minutes, so I had to quit and relaunch. But it's still a good app though... This app and the mytutor calculus app are my two best friends this semester. lol

So helpful. I wish that I had found this app sooner in the year. It would have come in handy.

Great calc help for $2. $2 is much less than this app is really worth. Looking bak at how much I have used this app in college, it has probably been worth about $40. If you are taking calculus or any semi-advanced math, you should buy this.

Won’t open. Won’t open and constantly crashes. The app itself was very expensive and now I can’t use it al all. Very frustrated.

Keep crashing on iOS 13.2. This app saved me from calculus problems numerous times. However, recently it’s keep crashing every time I tried to open it. I’ve never had any problem with this app before updating to iOS 13.2. I’m not sure if it’s the new update or something is wrong with this app. Fixing this issue would be tremendously helpful!!!

Update. Can you make an update so you can switch between radians and degrees?

Great but should be free. I was excited at a glance, but I was hoping this would give a more in-depth look at calculus intuitively. The app doesn’t do anything that Alpha can’t so I’m now a slightly disappointed mathematics student with a convenient app.

Disappointed. I expected more from Wolfram, and I believe it's because when I think of leader of computations, I think Wolfram. They are great with their computations, don't get me wrong, but there are simply just better programs out there for you to solve equations step by step. I recommend that everyone reading then use an app called "Symbolab". If you go to their website, they provide step by step breakdowns better than anyone else. I gave a single star because as soon as I purchased this, I knew it wasn't what I needed for helping me break down equations.

Isn't worth it. As many have previously stated, this app is quite limited in regards to derivatives. Highly recommend updated version expands upon differentiation and even sign tests. This app simply makes it easier for you to solve systems of equations without being syntax savvy unlike other computational engines such as Mathcad and Mathematica! My advice, learn the input syntax and use the free online solver by wolfram.

Great app, but be careful. The app wont distinguish between when you need to put log or natural log (ln). It just puts log() where you would normally use ln. Also it didn't put up absolute value symbols where it needs to sometimes. Also, I had a bug where the text would disappear after I computed then went back to type another prob to compute.

Excellent App. This app works great for me. I have taken Calculus 1 and 2 at a college level. There are a multitude of applications for this app- limits, continuity, derivatives, integrals, and so on. I find the input interface very convenient and friendly. The majority of derivatives and integrals that I have entered showed step by step solutions. Overall, this app was a great help in my Calculus studies.

Needs more functionalities.... This app should came with more functionalities, like limits to more than one variable functions, etc... I have to go to the online site more often than I'd like, because of this... If I could, I would return the app to get my money back...

A lifesaver. This app has been so helpful in my calculus class. I struggle with math and without this app, I would be failing. I have been able to use this app to check my work, and because it shows the steps for solving the problems, I am able to understand the process and am getting an A in the class. Thank you Wolfram!

4 Star. My only complaint is that you have to use the half keyboard. I would like to be able to turn the phone sideways and have access to a bigger keyboard.

Amazing app. This app is amazing, but would be so much better if you had the opportunity to add dimensions instead of having just two.

Waste of money. I am extremely unsatisfied with this app. I think mathway is so much more helpful. I feel like it doesn't make sense, it's hard to find the right category, and it is a waste of $4. Sorry but not sorry it's the truth there could definitely be some improvement on this app.

Great app, still place for improvement. This app is fantastic. I finally got to understand some integrals. I must say, however, that it has some flaws, like the glitchy backspace button, or the difficulty of inputting some hard integrals, or the fact that on wrong input it deletes the already written integral, so I have to rewrite the whole thing. Otherwise, great app.

Disappointed is an understatement. I really was needing help with product rule in the derivative. But, this app says that each answer is 0.

Not worth it. While the app is functional, there are some major annoyances which make it almost useless: - It has no additional capabilities over the standard WolframAlpha app (which is actually cheaper) or the website - The user interface is difficult and non-friendly to use - It requires a continuous internet connection to run - Still no iPhone 5 support, I cant believe the developers couldn't even be bothered to make this simple update I really can't give this app more than 1 star. Don't waste your time and money on this, just use either the regular WolframAlpha app or their website.

Decent. This app is great, but the Wolfram Alpha mobile app has better value in my opinion. This is due to the fact that these course assistants are limited to one subject whereas the WAlpha app can do anything. One thing that could be improved is if some sort of CAS was included so that derivatives etc. could be solved offline.

Step by step solutions. This course assistant is absolutely must have. I'm glad I bought it. Unlike the previous reviewer (aka "iPhone developer") said, this app DOES GIVE more value than a general WAlpha app. For example if you need to know a limit as x approaches some value, you just choose "Limits" and then put what you need to solve there, and then you get actual step by step solution.

Amazing. I could honestly not love an inanimate object so much! This app has been amazing as I was studying calculus to help me figure out mistakes. I was a little worried of it would have everything I needed before I spent the 2.99 because I often find apps like this are geared either to a lot more advanced than grade 12 calc or to basic for what I need, but this was perfect! It has all the buttons you could possibly need! I just need to figure out now how to use absolute value signs

Decent app, however.... Good app for getting a quick answer however the steps are often glitchy (I've come across a few where all will be fine, the app will be showing me what to do, then all of a sudden the screen will go blank and nothing will be shown...) and often times it will jump to complex steps without showing how to get there.. But mainly please fix the glitchy steps part so it can finish the equation it allowed me to start.

Good, but missing Unit Step and Dirac-Delta Functions. This app is very good if you want to plot or integrate a function quickly. Nevertheless, for engineers, the unit step and dirac-delta functions are constantly involved and this is missing in both the Calculus and WolframAlpha apps. To be able to plot or integrate unit step functions would be a huge step forward for the use of this app in engineering.

A high school must. I don't know if it has the potential to help at a university level but certainly for students of calculus in high school this app is a must. Crashes with iOS7!. Needs an update, don't download!

Not good.. I am disappointed. Most of the time it does not understand what the input is, although its very clear and simple. It does not support multi tasking in iPad. And the build of the app is cheap. It’s doesn’t feel like a paid app. Also I hate when you make a mistake by forgetting a bracket for example, if you click the compute button, it’s going to give you an error and you have to rewrite the whole thing, instead of just editing it.

Waste of money. Don't buy the App, I am taking AP Cal. It doesn't have half of the functions you need and can't solve the ones you input. No step by step. This is a waste of my money. Wish I could get a refund.

Wolfram Calculus Assistant. Potentially very good, but a graphing utility that thinks the cube root of x has complex values for x < 0 hardly qualifies as a CALCULUS assistant, however much sense this point of view might make in other contexts.

Mathematica on the iPhone. I havn't used it enougy yet to give a valuable rating and comment, but for now the idea of what wolfram is offering deserves 5 stars! Haha thanks for the email!

Overpriced and not useful. Just stick to the generalist app; You have the same access, plus everything that isn't the handful of formulas picked for this app.

Convenient app, with a major flaw. As a physics student I don't mind paying extra for a better calculus interface to the otherwise free wolfram system. The app has all the makings to be an essential high level math app. HOWEVER, I cannot currently recommend this app to anyone. When running the app on my iPhone 4 there is 3-5 second delay after EVERY keystroke. The app is frustratingly unusable in this condition. All the convenience of the app is completely forgone with this problem. If this problem were fixed the current interface would have the potential to be a 4 or 5 star app.

Wolfram Calculus App. I like the app a lot, but it could be even better if the input fields would always remember the last function entered. Just a suggestion though. This app is a great tool that made my life a lot easier!

This is a ripoff!. This app gives me completely wrong answers for pretty much every equation I enter. I want a refund!

Not worth the money. This app is good in the sense that it does give you the correct answer to calculus problems. However, the main reason I (and I assume most people) got this app was for the step by step guide to the problems, and this is completely terrible when doing derivatives. Instead of showing you the steps it basically reorders it so instead of having to find the derivative of 4/x you have to find it for 1/x^2. It will then skip the rest of the steps and simply say what it is.

Forgotten App. Wolfram has completely disregarded this app from existence. This app will never be updated. Everything is outdated. Do not buy this app.

Needs to be IPhone 5 friendly. Top and bottom margins are cut short .... Very annoying needs to be compatible for the iPhone 5s longer screen. Will change to 5 stars if fixed.

Intigration not always correct. This app is a rip off, they put the title calculus to make it worth more when they have another app that can do this and much more and yet it can't give me the correct answers. If u look at the step by step guide they give u and u notice the using 1/u they will put in log instead of ln which will give u the wrong answer. This app should not be worth the value and needs to do more then just simple calculus
