Great😐. It is ok I would not get this app unless you are going to get the pro because the pro has a feature that you can change the color of the picture but the normal one does not do that so get the pro of anything. The problem is with my normal on me o have no idea how to do anything and how it does not explain that or even what to do for mine it is stupid unless you get the pro so get the pro one.

It's not free. That was a trick!. I am sort of being forced to review this before I've had a chance to really use it. I downloaded the app because it was free. I started using it and was interrupted when I tried to recolor my photograph. I was asked to pay. I set up my credit card to buy the app for a dollar and then was asked to leave a review if I wanted to have the app with no ads. They wanted to review at this point so here it is. I have no idea whether I paid for the app yet and what it will do when I start using it. All I can say is the recolors Asian works well.

Was working, now not. I’ve had this app for quite some time. I even paid to remove ads and have extra features. It was a fantastic way to add some great color effects and really make pictures pop. The app wasn’t working (not loading my pictures. Unable to edit.) just a black screen. I deleted the app and redownloaded and now my ads are back with no way to restore purchases and it’s still not working. Now I have to find a new color effect app. Hopefully one some one will update regularly. (App support lead me to a site w no help)

Looks promising but.... The app looks great and is pretty easy to use... other than of course having to pay for recoloring and to remove ads. I wouldn’t mind the adds to use the recoloring but having to pay to use that and get rid of ads I don’t mind seem a bit... redundant. Even more so that I could get a simple app like this for a computer cost free and able to use all the features it offers. So if the devs of this ever see this review then please get rid of the pay wall and instead make it optional. The app overall shows a lot of promise for mobile users who don’t have access to a computer and still try to do some sort of quality recolor.

Takes your money then stops working.. You can’t re-color photos without the in-app purchase to activate the feature which is fine for only 99 cents, but then it stops loading photos and you just get s grey screen when you try to load a new photo. I deleted and re-downloaded which allowed me to load new photos to edit but then it didn’t remember that I purchased the upgrade. So I waisted a dollar and never could use the app to re-color photos.

Ok, recolor feature not free, won’t save to album. App blanks out (not an actual crash) when attempting to save project to photo album. I could only save by emailing the project to myself (.png format). Can’t input color value for true color match, which would be a great feature. Recolor easy to use; I recommend using a stylus for greater precision. Toggling between gray, recolor, and original color brush, especially to correct any mishaps is easy; the “recently used” color palette is nice.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. App is horrible! Once you download it does not allow you to do anything. You have to purchase the features. Once I downloaded and uploaded one of my pictures to work on the app wanted my finger scan which is used to purchase from the App Store. Very slick. If you are going to charge for the app just charge for it up front. Don't let me waste my time and storage space if your marketing something that is not actually a free app. If your looking for a app like this I suggest looking for a similar app somewhere else. The one feature that you can use is to bring back color which is on the original picture. And even that is not all that great, I've used better.

Not a free app. Change it back.. I used to love this app and would've given it five stars until recently. I had this app for about two years and had to delete it because of storage space. Upon redownloading it this week, I tried to color with it, only to be told I had to buy the pro version. Don't buy this app if you don't want to pay for it. Don't sell an app as free and then charge your consumers in order to get money out of it. Otherwise this is false advertising. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Very Cool. We recently had family photos done by a professional photographer. My wife had already picked out matching clothes that would go with mine and my sons outfit. I had a red plaid shirt, he wore a red shirt with navy stripes, and my wife wore a navy shirt to tie it all in. Well, the photos turned out great but my wife was a little bummed that she had failed to add any red in her outfit as the blue color in the plaid shirt I had on showed up more than we expected due to the background. Using "color effects" I altered the color of her shirt from blue to red in about 10 minutes! Once I had the color right, I went back and added the original color to everything else. My only suggestion would be to maybe have an option to grey out a selected area only to so that only that portion of the photo gets changed. This would prevent having to add the original color back to the full photo once the color change is successful. It worked perfect the way it is for this picture specifically but I think that an option like that would benefit in other situations. Regardless, thanks to this app, we now have our perfect Christmas card! I would highly recommend and It does exactly what it describes. Watch the video tutorial and you'll enjoy it quicker with out having to learn it the layout. The video is only about 5 minutes or so and the narrators voice is very monotone, but it did help!

Upgrade isn’t fully functioning. I first tried the free Color Effects app, I wanted the option to add color, so I almost immediately upgraded to the purchased version. Disappointingly, I’m not able to see much difference, if any at all, I can’t do anything with the color after I choose it. After selecting the color, there is no way to go back to the photo. If I do use the BACK button to return to my photo, either the image isn’t there and there’s only a blank gray screen, or the coloring function isn’t working when the photo is tapped or touched. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, but it’s making me buy it again. I’m at a loss...

Consistently good. I've used this app for years and haven't found a better one for this purpose. The only improvement I'd like to see is and easier to use zoom setting. It's too simple to accidentally recolor the image when zooming. Otherwise, it's great!

Pretty good. Changing the color was pretty easy. Two items keep this from being 5 Star. 1. Doesn’t allow the user to start from the original photo. Changes it to black/white then the user must add back in the color. So if you just want to change a very small portion (maybe a shirt color in Family photo) you have to start with the entire photo. 2. Least desired attribute is the exported photo, once finished, looks blurry. Has the characteristics of a photo that has been highly compressed for export. If you are just looking to change something for Facebook ... probably not an issue. If you want to print the final photo, this app probably not the right one.

Used to be perfect!. If I had reviewed a week ago I would have given this app a 5 ⭐️! But then I had to reset my phone (not because of this app) and now every 10 seconds it’s showing me an ad so it’s impossible to get any work done. I already paid my $ to have unlimited pro features for this phone/Apple ID but there is no where to click to restore my purchase!! It’s really frustrating! And no love to click for “help” “customer service”! Now I’m just ticked off even trying to use it at all. Please please fix it & let us restore our one time payment we already made!! Update- months later and ya”ll STILL F*d up! Why isn’t there an option to restore my purchase? I’ve now paid you all a “one time fee” three times!! And now apparently ur website is shut down?! Super sketch.

Terrible!. It’s hard to believe that ANY of these positive reviews were written by any objective person. Unless there is some hidden tutorial or instructions to explain how to use what appears to be a simple, or perhaps more accurately, a SIMPLISTIC interface, the description of the features in this app is not just misleading, those features don’t exist. But, because I had to pay 99 cents to actually access the features in this “free” app (which by itself is dishonest), I had know way of knowing beforehand. I am usually very careful about downloading apps without some hint of their reputation, but this app’s creator got me this time. Congratulations!

Paid, crash, reinstall, pay again?. I just paid the .99 upgrade then all of a sudden I was charged $1.05. No big deal. Got to play with the app and when try to save the pic on my phone it just crashes and apps turns off. Did this several times so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now it’s asking me to pay once again to upgrade! I event have the proof of purchase in my email. Update: I finally got my account back. Didn’t do anything cause I was gonna just get a different app but it still crashes when I try to save the picture to my phone. I have to email it to myself and get it from there. What a hassle. Still looking for different apps if this still keeps up.

Bait and switch. I downloaded the app because I liked the photo editing features, reviews were positive, and it was free. However, once I tried to use it, I was unable to do ANY editing until I bought the upgrade. Since it was 99c I went ahead with the purchase. Now that I've used the app and had time to think about it, I should have removed the app. I rewarded unethical behavior since free does not mean "only if the buyer is held hostage by the app until s/he forks over money." I wish I knew how to report this.

Works great but has MAJOR ISSUE. This app works fantastically for it's intended purpose! Labeling it as a free app is very misleading, however, because you do have to purchase the full version to actually use the recolor feature. Despite that, I purchased the full recolor capabilities and it was working great. All the tools work well, and the interface is outdated but very easy to use. BUT... I am unable to save ANYTHING! I worked for a long time on recoloring an image, and am unable to save it, or any other projects. Any time I attempt to save, photo or video, the app crashes and the image doesn't save. Typically, I wouldn't bother leaving a review if this happened and would just delete the app, but because I paid for the full version of the app, I'm very disappointed that I'm unable to save my work. I would request a refund or help with a solution from the developer.

Terrible. Don't get this app. I had it a few months ago and it worked wonderfully, and I could recolor any picture. Besides the full page ads and the fact that it took down the quality of the pictures it was more or less a good app. I redownloaded it a few days ago and now you need to pay to recolor anything, and the app still has ads absolutely everywhere. I was very disappointed and deleted immediately. Save yourself time and don't get this, Facetune costs 2.99 I believe but it has everything this app has and more and is worth the money. Hope this helped.

Get "color pop" instead!. Do not download this app!! It won't allow you to do anything with this free version, unless you download the pro version. And it sneakily tries to get you to buy it without even asking!!! This is how it works: you download the free app, you choose a picture from your library, it shows up only as grey... Then there's a button asking if you'd like to add color. (Well, duh! Of course I'd like some "color popping"! That's what this app is for!) When you click that button it will ask for your Apple ID password... DONT GIVE YOUR PASSWORD! I x-ed out of it and sure enough, there was the pro option in my face, just waiting to be downloaded once you gave your password again. Sneaky sneaky. Oh and after only using it for 2 minutes, I was already inundated with about 5 or so ads. Get "color pop" instead. Super easy. Free. Not as many ads.

Love it!. I love using this to make my photos even more unique. It's easy to use, very straightforward. I haven't found an app as good or trustworthy as this one, and always come back to it. Just tonight, I bought the app for the purpose of recoloring some of my older photos. It was totally worth it.

NOT ANYMORE. I’ve had this app for a long time and used to love it. BUT THEN, today it stopped loading pics to edit. I’d select a photo and the edit screen would pop up with no photo. I tried it several times, no update needed, closed the app, reopened. Nothing. So I deleted it to reload it, thought maybe that would help. But now I can’t use the color features like I could before without paying for it!? All the stuff I would do that made the photo editing process fun and WAS FREE, is now trying to charge me if I still want to use it. And all because the app didn’t work in the first place leading me to delete it. I’m just disappointed. So I will be deleting it permanently. Sad, it used to be good.

Change it back.. So a long time ago I got this app and loved it to death. It was free, worked really well, and was really fun. My iPad crashed and I had to restore the whole thing. I come back to fund that the once free app that I used regularly has been replaced by a paid app. Now this wouldn't be so bad if it was charged up front or if it was pay to get the apps removed. No ladies and gentlemen. To recolonize at all you have to pay a dollar. To recolor like I use to I now have to pay money? I loved this app so much but it became cheap and slick. Do not download if you expect a free app where you recolor. It's false advertising. If it was changed to just if you don't want adds you pay this would be fine, but this has changed it fully. Thank you for ruining my day.

Nice for business. I hand paint wedding Converse for my business, and have been searching for an app that will help me with making colors pop in photos. This app has worked wonderfully! Easy to use, and I really liked the easy to understand tutorial!

For app creator This app is really old needs to be updated *Fix auto to stop uncoloring photos *Add paint bucket to select certain parts of the photo you want to color / gray *FIX DOWNLOAD BUTTON ( I had to email pic to myself to download it..) *fix app glitching & crashing after trying to save *Option to remove watermark For USERS If you’re looking to change a small detail it will take a long time because you have to repaint the whole photo ! If you are looking to repaint a entire photo this app is for you ! Even with the glitches it automatically saves so no progress will be lost . Watermarks are at the bottom of photo

Great simple app w/ a fun punch. I've been using Color Effects for a year or so and I this this is a solid & fun app. It gives a surprising amount of control over coloring effects on pics. Has live camera and library options for importing...plus zoom, brush sizing and walk thru tutorials. 5-stars all the way!!!

0 star. A scam. This app doesn’t do anything. If you’re looking to recolor your picture, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. It’s a free download but you can’t do any recoloring unless you accept the in-app purchases prompted. So I did. But the function still doesn’t work. Once again, IT DOESN’T ALLOW FOR RECOLORING OF YOUR PICTURE that we are looking for when we decide to download this app (only turned grey/ monochromatic color). Oh and one more thing, the app interface is horrible, even such basic underperforming features were made confusing to use. Requested for refund because the app literally doesn’t perform its functions as advertised but got denied. -10 star if I can give that.

Great App!. When I discovered this new trend of graying out a photo and recoloring, I knew I wanted to try it out on my newborn's photos. But not every app is as easy as you would think. This one is amazing! It's super easy and my photos come out with such great quality- ready to print! Highly recommend. Even for beginners such as myself.

NOT FREE!!!. The performance is pretty good to me but it does cost money. But if you're willing to pay the money this is a good app. Also it has a watermark that you can't remove unless you rate the app 5 stars. I bought it on my phone last year and it didn't have the watermark but when I got it on my iPad it was there. It's easy to crop out though.

Disappointed. I downloaded the app for free and of course they want you to pay to start it. So I did. It worked nice for my first project which was trying to find a color for my hot rod. I took one from the front and one from the back. I did all my editing and changed several colors. Worked great. I was ready to start my second project. The minute you take another picture the app only shows a grey picture. I deleted my old ones thinking it was limited space. Didn’t work. Tried over and over. I’m assuming you have to delete the app and purchase again! Won’t be using again.

Worth getting. Free, but then you pay a small fee to remove the watermark and unlock certain features. I don't have a problem with that. Just keep improving the app! It's fun to tinker with, use, and the results can be as fine or rushed as you want the to. Great way to add some interest to your photos! ** Improvements A) a target point where the pencil/brush tip is represented by a dot or similar B) An option to allow the pencil/brush to be held at a target point above your finger so that you can see where your pencil/brush tip is. This would be fantastic for tight areas requiring intense detail changes

Almost forgot I had this!. I used this briefly a while back and enjoyed it. I almost forgot about it until my kid opened it. I forgot how much fun it is to use and how easy. I've had other similar apps and this is by far the most accurate and easy to use!

So far so great!. I have only used this app twice but it's very intuitive and simple to get the hang of it. I already had a cheap stylus used to navigate around on your phone or tablet but I never saw much use for it till now. Works much better with a small point stylus. I admit I'm going through the trouble of rating this since it's a free way to remove the watermarks but it's an honest review.

Someone else said not to down load, I double that. This app is junk full of ads. And I am talking full screen ads with videos. I refuse to pay for a full version for an app such as this. Full screen ads make the developers look desperate and beggars. It also makes the app look cheap. I am deleting this app. It also has water marks and it seems that it won't go away unless you rate this lousy app five stars. It only shows how pathetic the developers are. How can they watermark a picture that they have no legal rights to? It seeks to be to be a scam app by scam artists. I wonder if Apple knows about this? Don't waste your time, not worth your time and much less your money.

Awesome App and Easy to Use. I've seen around that people are talking smack about this app beinng horrible and you have to pay for stuff, but I haven't had any problems with it. Recolor is very easy to use with simple tools to get the look you want. I've been using this app for years now and it's been wonderful. The only thing that's been weird is that when I put in a photo is comes out kinda fuzzy. So maybe they could fix the fuzziness. Otherwise, excellent app. (I love the glow one too!!) :D

Some issues. I use this app mainly to recolor the background of a picture. At first this worked out perfectly for me and everything was fine. But recently I have been having some problems. Whenever I try to recolor the background of a picture, it instead Is a pale color far off from what I had intended. For example, say I have a bowl of fruit with a yellow background and I want to change only the background to dark blue. If I color the entire picture, the fruit shows up dark blue, but the background is a pale light blue/purple color. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Nolongeraspleased. Have had this app for several years. i have another splash app, as well--but, what this goes beyond, is to allow you to change or add additional color of your choice. However, since a recent update, you felt the need to frame my work with your badge. i do not care for this!; plus it covers a bottom portion of my photo. i am left having to crop it out, losing a piece of my work

I have to pay again??. Hey, I downloaded app and have been using it for maybe almost a year now. I purchased the “pro” version to let me actually recollection things back then, too. However, I started having problems with the app today: it wouldn’t let me save any of my work to my photos. So I uninstalled it and went to redownload it... lo and behold, it says I have to pay yet again to access the “pro” version that I’ve had for almost a year. Why? Is there anyway I can just have access to the recolor option again since I’ve already paid?? The reason for the rating is because it’s asking me to pay again for a feature I should still have access to, not allowing me to download my work into my album, and I honestly haven’t been entirely happy with the color wheel provided for recoloring; however, this app is the best I can do at the moment and wish to continue using it. Please help me out here so I can keep recoloring photos.

It's been better. I have used this app a couple of years ago, and fell in love with it, I got a new phone and only just now re downloaded it to quickly do a picture with it. Right away unnoticed a difference, before when I used the recolor option, it was free, and amazing, now that I have re downloaded it, I have to pay .99$ to get that option and remove the adds. I'm not sure why that is, not that .99$ is a big amount or anything, but comparing to before when it was free I don't like that much. But it's still a great app to use.

Don’t Bother. You have to pay $0.99 to actually change colors. Thankfully that’s all it costs as it is a complete waste of money and time. Such a stupid app. It does not change colors easily (tried adding a cranberry color on top of a white article of clothing and it came out an extremely pale red. You have to use your finger to then add back the original color of the photo. This is suitable for a young child who wants to completely change the color of the entire photo to something “fun”, not for adults looking to quickly add or change a realistic color to a photo. Don’t bother.

Wish their was more color options. Would be nice to have more different types of colors like chrome colors and neon colors and other types of color shades. And wish the image save to photo library would work every time I go to save a picture I color it freezes then exits out of the app?

Does not work as it claims. Does not crop objects only zooms in and out. Does not work on black or very dark colors. Does not return the picture to the real original color ex. greens return to blue. Tried to contact the developer without any luck - received a message "safari cannot find the server" However, the app had no problem asking and collecting more money from me before starting the project. Disappointed, I would really like this app to work. I would like the developer to contact me and see if this can be fixed.

Works Perfectly. I love this app. I've had it for years. I love to recolor pics, especially eyes. The zoom is great, it has a full color pallet along with memorizing past colors you have used, and the auto correct is amazing for the small spots. Really the only annoying thing is that the ads are all "minigames" which makes my device run slower. But ads is how the free version is paid for, you wait a few seconds and can click to "X" out, and then you are back to your project. Thanks!

PURE AMAZINGNESS. This app is great. You can make the important parts of your picture pop with color while the background or unwanted parts are gray. I love editing photos and this one really helped with edits. It allows you to change the brush size and opacity when coloring. There are so many wonderful things about this app, sure you have to pay to change the natural color but it's totally worth it!

Don't uninstall the app, update your phone instead. I really liked this app until I tried to save my finished image to my photos. It said it saved, but it wasn't there when I opened photos. I came here to the reviews and noticed a lit of other people had the same issue. Then I checked my phone to see if I missed an update, and I had. After I downloaded and ran the latest iPhone update, I opened this app again and saved my work to photos without any problem.

Best recoiled app EVER. And no I'm not just writing what your reading right now to remove watermarks but I am writing this to inform purchasers be fore purchasing that this app is amazing. You can recolor anything. The first one I did was a Nissan GT-R and it's so good I made it my wallpaper. It's amazing. One improvent I wish was on the app right now is if you could keep the pic grey but let's say a wall is blue then you could make it red on here. Good app :)

It told me to do this but 😄. This is a cool app!! I love editing photos and this makes it wayyyy cooler. Sometimes it's hard to color EXACTLY where you want the color to be when you don't have a stylist pen but it works out in the end! This is perfect if you have a theme on Instagram and you don't want every single thing to be one filter. Recomended

AMAZING. i used this to help me pick the color for a pair of sunglasses i was painting over as a DIY project. this app made all the difference and helped me pick the optimal color since i was able to see what the frames would look like with the colored lenses that were already on it. so much easier than me attempting to do the same in Photoshop. THANK YOU! it took me a couple minutes to figure out on my own. the conversion to grayscale right off the bat threw me off a bit, it'd be nice if that was an option you could disable.

Amazing. I've had this app for a long time, and I've got to say, it's one of my favorites. The controls are easy to use, and the possibilities are endless. However recently I just got it on my iPad and found that you had to pay for recoloring, but the recent update fixed it and made it free again. I'm giving this app five stars not just because they added recoloring again, but because this is overall a great app.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. This app is not free. It’s purpose is to recollect objects in an image- you load a pic, it turns it gray and the ONLY functionality at that point is to repaint the image to its original colors. Bear in mind - NOBODY needs this garbage can for an app to do that. Why? Because the image was loaded from the phone WITH it’s original colors. Just charge for the stupid app so that people know not to waste their time with it unless their willing to pay. I’m absolutely not going to pay for functionality in an app before I know if the functionality will even serve me.

Updates. Is there any new updates coming soon? At the same time is there any type of thing that I can see which tells what new apps are coming soon like subscriptions. If so then I’d like that have that. Great app too.

Effortless Color Effects. A great little app which makes light work of what would otherwise require a graphic artist and photoshop. Amazing!!!

Pretty good. For a free app it's pretty good. Basic features - either use original colour or greyscale - but that's all I needed. Upgrade required if you want to change to a completely different colour of something in your photos.

Does what it says. This app is easy to use and does what it says it does. Will add more after some play.

Great App, just disappointed you need to upgrade for other colours now!. I have been using this app since all features were free! Disappointed I now need to upgrade to use other colours and so I find I don't use it very often whereas I used to use it all the time!

The developer is too greedy.. I'm happy to be forced to watch ads as I'm using an app for free. But I think the developer is a bit too greedy as he puts water mark on each image that I've edited. Sorry I can't use those water marked images. Thus, this app becomes useless and needs to be deleted on my phone.

Closing the app. I have tried to save my newly coloured photos to my photo library and as soon as I click on the button the app closes and does not save the photo. Is there a fix for this?

Terrible app, total waste of money. When you load it up, to do anything you have to upgrade. Upgrading accomplishes nothing, try recolouring and there is nowhere to save the pic. Stop ripping people off!!!!

Hmm-. It's pretty good but you have to pay a lot for doing recolour. Is you dont pay, the only options are black and white or original colour.

Can’t actually recolour without paying.... 1.39 to recolour. Literally can’t do anything else except watch ads. Free version is pointless.

Good but crashes. This app is good for using to recolour photos, but it crashes when I try to save to my phone. It works when I email it to myself but it isn’t convenient that it doesn’t work for saving directly to the phone.

This isn’t free.. Only the download is free. If you actually want to use it to edit photos you have to pay for it. Totally misleading and should never be offered as a “free” app.

Won't Save. Though there is an option to save to my photo library, the app won't save. I suspect there is a bug as all my other apps have no trouble in saving. I don't recommend this app.

Recolor is no longer included. You now have to make an in-app purchase to use recolor option. From good to poor.

Awful!. First of all, I was unable to even recolour my image (which is the whole point of this app!) until I PAID for it! The features make no sense, and no matt r what pic I uploaded, it was blurry. Definitely do not recommend.

Can’t save. I had this app before but since I changed for a new IPad, I had to buy it again . It works well but impossible to save the edited photo. I am very disapointed because it was the best for colorizing a b&w photo... please fix this issue and I’ll give it five stars.

Broken. This app works better than other colour pop type apps right up until you press save image - then it crashes. I presume this is an iOS 13 issue awaiting a bug fix. I tried contacting app support but it just goes to some info about another app.

File format. Can not save image as photo in album... Only saves files as pdf.

Bad recolour feature. This app is really bad for recolouring photos. Very unrealistic images are produced in the end.

Not an upgrade but a downgrade. This app used to be completely free before but now the main tool I use (which is color change) is unavailable unless I pay which is ridiculous. This app was good for a FREE app but not good enough to pay for tools within. Seriously not worth the money…

You can’t do anything. To recolour you need pro version and I tried uploading a photo edit and I even cropped it but when I tried to colour it I just saw a grey screen and my photo never appeared no matter how much I wanted to edit my photo it would just put a grey screen and never the photo actually put! Don’t bother. Looks terrible on iPhone X as constraints are not set properly, you have to pay to use the app which isn’t terrible except when you’re all said and done and want to save the photo you edit, the app crashes and doesn’t save your photo. Waste of time and money.

Won’t save photo. App crashes when saving a photo. Only loads in greyscale which you can add colour to, cannot change colour on original photo. I don’t mind paying for app, it’s cheap, but doesn’t do what it advertises it will do.

Just a black and white photoshop. It just turns the entire picture to black and white. From there on whatever color you apply, it is not going to create any impact. The thumbnail pictures in the AppStore are just click bait. Don’t get fooled.

Fraud. Beware of this scam.. Apple should kick this app out of the store. The main feature “color replace” isn't available without purchase, not even for a trial. Purchase is cheap $1.57 only. So you might think of getting it anyways. But then the feature is not what it says. Its a useless paint brush which paints over your picture. Does not replace a selected color. I want my money back from these scammers.

Took money. I downloaded app and while I was working on picture it took me to pay money for the app and I accidentally bought the app which was not my intention. There is no spot to get money back.

Restore purchases?. Bought the app a little while ago for something, and deleted it afterwards. Upon redownloading the app to use it again, I was given no option to restore previous purchases and it is asking me to pay again.

Rip off. I had this app for years and loved it how ever when I switch phones it was deleted and now I have to pay to recolor it. If they wanted money they could of my the app cost money from the start then I could see why you have to pay for no add but to recolor you have to pay for no adds they just what your money and I am mad because I loved this app and now it is just plain garbage it's probably the worst app I have ever seen

Worst Color Effect App Ever!. I downloaded the free version only to find out that it would only let me change an already black and white minimal color photo with a red flower to an even darker black and white gray scale photo with a gray flower. I could only change the flower to red or gray. The original color or gray. Which defeats the purpose of me downloading the app to change the flower from purple or yellow or any other color of the rainbow. Disappointed. Waste of time.

Great app!. I've been looking for an app to do this that doesn't ruin the quality of the picture and is easy to use, and I finally found one! This app works great, I would highly recommend it 👍

CRASHES WHEN SAVING. This is so infuriating. This app would be the best that’s I’ve tried like this in terms of functionality but every single time I try to save an image to my photo library the app crashes and the image doesn’t save. I don’t want to post to social media and I don’t have email set up on my iPad (it’s my only email free device and that’s for a reason) so I have no way of getting my images out of the app.

A color splash. Love this app. It lets me play with color on using pictures on my camera roll. I wish I could select a specific color to replace throughout a picture but the brush works well if you have the time.

Not exactly what I wanted, but worked. I was hoping for something more like the Selective Color in Photoshop, which can, say, edit all the blue in a picture so that I don't have to manually draw over the areas I want to edit, but I do appreciate the range in brush opacity, which allowed me to achieve what I wanted, if with less finesse.

Very cool. This app is pretty easy to figure out. I did have trouble moving the image after I'd zoomed in to paint the edges of an object. So I couldn't ever actually get to parts of the image if I had zoomed. There might be a way to do it, but I never figured it out.

I realize u need to make money, but really?. I actually discovered this app from a professor of mine who highly recommended it a while back. It was a great app to quick adjust color and have a little fun with any photo you want. However they recently updated it making it so you have to pay money to do things that used to be free... so I'm saying goodbye to this app because it's absolutely useless without those options. Smh... people are just full of greed now

Great App.. This app is the best at making things POP out! I've been using this app all day long. I've been editing pictures and sending them to my friends and the love them. This app works great. I recommend it for anyone that needs to edit a pic like this app does.

Ok so you can color and do other stuff but its sad that you have to pay to get colors its boring having normal colors and grey but why have to pay i could get a way better app i wouldent count on paying for this...get color pop instead its way better okay..i also think that they just want money i say WHY PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS THE FULL Potential of the app

Great app!. Love this app. The zoom feature and adjustable brush size make it really easy to re-color. My only suggestion would be to add an optional pointer for drawing, sometimes the screen picks up a larger section than I need it to.

Bugged. Bugged to hell. Image randomly gets distorted and can’t change colors in certain portions. Also, portions of the image get a transparent copy that’s moved to a separate portion of the image. Imagine having a transparent copy of the image you’re editing and then place it overtop the original, without lining the images up. It’s endlessly frustrating and totally prohibitive I’m using this app. Especially frustrating because I’ve already paid to unlock features.

Not bad. It's easy to use and I like the results. Although it's not my go to, I would use it if you don't feel like spending a lot of money on professional photo editing softwares. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Details are everything!. I love this app. I have a toddler so I don't always have the time to fix/edit pictures, but this app is so fast and easy to use. I also love that you can zoom in and color each pixel so carefully! Love love love this app!

The free version works fine. It's works perfectly fine for a free app. The ads are annoying, I wish they're weren't as many but what's else is new. I like that it has a soft focus option for the brush. The watermark was a turn off for me, but they trade a review for a watermark free app.

Easy to use. I enjoy this app for the small edits that I needed to make. I love how the background is black and white and you can just color certain items in the photo. It really makes them pop.

Liberal Hate Company. I was about to upgrade to their Pro version until I was having issues saving photos. So I went to their website to contact them after clicking on the “App Support” link in the App Store to email them. Right on their home page is a bunch of hate art about Trump. Where was “Hate Art Contests” about Obama? Oh, that’s right...they never posted any! App...DELETED...will NEVER spend money with this company EVER nor will I use ANY of their products! DON’T GET INVOLVED IN POLITICS...MAKE APPS AND STICK TO STAYING NEUTRAL...NOT BEING A LIBERAL SPREADING HATE!!

Nice app, but need a better interface. Love the app, works well for my needs. I just need the watermark to go well and perhaps the interface can be improved and have better looking home page.

Get it. Finally an app that lets you only color one part of the picture while keeping everything else gray without making you pay! The ads can get a little annoying but not too bad. I’d definitely recommend it.

Made me do this?. I don't know what the exact incentive is to give 5 stars but it appears that I have been told to do so if I want to be able to import my image. Great app. Potential though if you wanna get the "full" version. This version should be called "Grey Effects"

Great for the quick effect. I do a lot of photo editing on my computer and this is a nice app for recoloring on the fly. Once you get the hang of navigating I can color pop in under a minute which is a feature I happen to use a lot. I don't need heavy editing.

So far so good. I haven't used the app very much. I am honestly just writing this review because the app said it would remove their watermark from my photos for free if I did. Assuming it does that I will be happy with the app. I can't comment on anything else at this time because I need to play with it more.

App crashes, no place to find support. I like this app, and how it does as described, but after working with my photo, every time I try to save to my photos, everything crashes. I can’t load to Instagram either, or anywhere else. I wish there were some kind of support where I could resolve this issue.

Great app, but.... I would love to see one change. I would really like to save a color permanently. I use the app to "hand color" photos, and had recently worked very hard to get just the right skin tone, but in the process of doing the rest of the photo that skin tone was lost. PLEASE - give us a way to save a color permanently!

Don't buy this app!. Great-performing app, BUT the first time I bought it the app was great for about 20 photos, and then it stopped functioning. It's only 99 cents so I bought it again. Then the very same thing happened: it will not load any of my photos after it had been perfect for about the first 20. So, I have bought it twice, and twice it has blown a tire. What gives, Color Effects? I don't want my money back; I want this fine app to work!

My go-to for editing. I run a photography account, and I find that this app really helps create the visions that I have. The app runs very smoothly, it's easy to use, and a must have for anyone who likes to edit photos.

Cool app. Let's you manipulate the color palate and add a pop of color to a boring picture. If you want to change the color you have to buy the full version of the app, but if you just want to greyscale parts of it, it's free!

Doesn't do anything advertised. This app will turn a color photo into a grayscale image. That's all. iOS can do that already and does it without showing me three ads first. The recolonize feature that is touted in the app title and every line of the app description is a paid upgrade. It's only a $.99 purchase, but I'd rather pay 5x that for an app that does what is promises than give $.99 to a developer who tricks users into downloading an app by lying about what it does.

Terrible. This app is terrible. First of all it’s very misleading. You can’t even recolor unless you pay a 99 cent fee AFTER you download it even though “recolor” is the first word in the name. Right when you open the app up you’re bombarded by ads. Obviously you have to pay to remove those as well. Once you finish you can’t even save the photo without the app crashing. Just don’t even waste your time. It looks awful as well. I’d rate it 0 stars if I could.

Too many ads and prompts to buy full version. In the less than five minutes I spent trying this app out, I was attacked by ads for unrelated content and multiple prompts to buy the full version. I’m not opposed to SOME ads popping up on free versions, but this was ridiculous. I’ll be uninstalling this immediately. Congrats! Ten minutes for me to install and then uninstall an app is a record for me. Usually, it takes me days to determine I hate an app.

What is this TRASH?. This app is absolute garbage. It advertises itself to be a free "recoloring app" when the main feature that it advertises is not free. Seriously? How does this app get 4.5 stars? Plus, the first thing that happens to you when you open up the app is that you get raped by ads. When I mean raped, I mean RAPED. I had like 2 different pop-ups at once, one which I had to play some stupid game just to get out of. Who does that? This just goes to show that this company obviously doesn't care about what the consumer thinks, they just want your money. Even if you didn't pay for anything, just by viewing their ads you make them a couple bucks. Overall, this app is just another over reviewed piece of work that just wants your money.

Awesome. I've had the ap for quite awhile. It does exactly what it says it will.. I wish I had just a bit more control; that's most likely my user error. I've done some fun recoloring and gotten great feedback! It's my go to when I want to make a picture pop!

Sucker punch. I really do love the options of this app. However, unless you write a review it continues to pop-up advertisements. I don't like being forced to write a review in order to use the app. I would actually have paid extra to use the options of this app if it had never required me to write a review in order to use it.

Uhm, I’m in between at the moment.. Currently on Ipad editing my first picture since the download and now that I’m finished I’m ready to save my picture. Not only is it not saving but even when I attempt to export it to another app it kicks me out of the app. I don’t know why the app is crashing already but I am not a fan. I can sa y I had this app years ago and I never had these issues.

Works ok, can’t save to Photo Library. I was able to do some edits of a photo and it works ok. You have to draw every spot where you want color replacement. There is some app help when it comes to edges but it would be nice to have a shape completely colorized when clicking on it. When trying to save a project to my photo library, the app just crashes.

Why did this have 4.3 stars???. You have to pay 99 cents for the recoloring feature and the colors you choose aren’t even close to what you end up painting on the photo! Unfortunately, I can’t add photos, but I chose a dark red/maroon and it came up as a gross brownish-salmon color. The only reason I’m doing 2 stars instead of 1 is because the app itself is free and they give you a video tutorial on how to use it.

Love it. This app is great and helps me be able to select certain colors to pull out of the picture and make you look so much more unique is very awesome and I keep using it for about everything right now with a few pictures.

Have loved this appp forever !!. I first downloaded it in 2013 really easy and cute to use and creative ! A monkey can operate this app that's how easy and simple it is to create such beautiful and vivid moments especially in black and white w the dash of color wherever you like !

Great for Recoloring or Decolorimg Pictures. Ads aside and the watermark too this is an app I’ve had and used sporadically for years now. I really do like it and have recommended it to others. Give it a try you’ll like it.

Pay or it’s useless. Can’t use a different color if you don’t upgrade. So it takes your photo and makes it gray then you can only repaint with original color unless you pay. Plus tons of ads. Looks like a good app but really! At least give a limited number of colors so we can decide if we like the app. It’s not like you don’t get enough money from all the advertisements.
