Probably the best dev I've seen in years!. Brilliant displays, all the feedback you could want for tuning and an amazing deal for all the pro features! Fully functional AND unobtrusive ads on free version! On top of that, ONLY PERMISSIONS NECESSARY FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND IMPROVEMENTS!! Also very little storage space taken up. Highly recommend supporting this developer! Seems like they put a lot of work into this and doesn't rely on selling user info like almost everyone else! We all need more devs like N-Track S.r.I.!!

description of app not precisely correct. description implies that free version supports more than just a guitar, but does not. was hoping to get grandkids ukulele tuned up, but need to purchase “pro” version for that functionality. also, there is a white box up in the notch area of iphone X that is either a confusion factor or non-visible information, no clue.

Quality App especially on the go!!!. I truly appreciate the convenience! When I’m on a gig and forget my usual tuners, I can just whip out my phone (which is always with me) and barring a lot of noise tune up my instrument. I also love how even with ambient noise presence, it can still detect my instrument and respond accurately!

Heal the world.. I discovered n-Track while studying sound healing with some lovely people in Nepal. This app allowed us to choose frequencies that resonated similarly to find one another in harmony, so that we can feel at ease when we need to calm down.

Can’t figure out how it works. Can’t tone with it. It doesn’t hear my instrument and makes no noise for me to hear it. Sound has been turned on and is all the way up.

Bad mic pickup. Barely picks up audio from mic when playing guitar. I even plugged into amp and played loud and it was still jumping around all over different notes. I use another tuner app which accurately picks up audio unamplified even with tv on in background. This app is unusable with its problems detecting audio input.

Best tuner app!. This is the only tuner app I’ve used for years and I’ve tried them all. Any chance there could be an option to use the old app icon? The new one is nice but I thought the old one was perfect. Either way still best app!

This is the one I’m sticking with!. Works well on both iPad and iPhone. Nice waveform display shows what it thinks the fundamental frequency is at any time. I’ve tried three or four others and I’ll keep this one.

Best Tuner I’ve used in over 8 years. Fantastic free to use tuner that should be absolutely embraced with hardly any ads interrupting your business. Every other free to use tuner I’ve ever used and including a paid premium app that I also had experience with, this tuner blows all of that out the water big time in my opinion, but maybe I’ve just not had good experiences with online mobile app tuners. I still prefer a real life tuner to any app by far but for something that costs nothing it does the job good enough.

Excellent on iPhone 4. I normally don't care to write a review, but this app is exactly what I needed. I'm still using an iPhone 4 and this app runs great. At only 60MB this app doesn't eat into my limited storage space. The graphics are neat. Seems accurate. It does everything I need it to, with support for an old phone and a small footprint. Perfect.

Better than Peterson product. I have this and the Peterson iStobotune and this is far better. It recognizes notes without difficulty

Surprise surprise. The quality of this app is phenomenal. I just got it a few days weeks ago and im testing it for my personal use.

Thanks for the memories. Your tuner worked great until recently. I recommended, sang its praises to anyone who would listen. But now it's corrupted by advertising, very sad. The girst time an ad grabbed it and wouldn't let go I chalkedit up to first world problems, deleted the app, and reinstalled. Ten minutes later when it happened again, I knew it was time for a change. So long, n-trak, it was nice while it lasted.

Uses For Years. Still Love it!. I have used this for many years and whenever I need it it’s there for me, works great.

It was great, until they added in-app auto-play Ads.. Used this app a lot and didn’t mind the banner ads, but now some full-screen ads start playing while I’m using the app. That’s horrible.

Love the new update. I’ve been using this app for 4 years now, for singing, and playing/tuning my flute. It’s my favorite tuning app. I love how the new update tells you which octave your in. I’ve memorized it now after so many years but it still helps!

Tone deaf. Has problems distinguishing notes and bounces around a lot. Jumps around hitting every note except the one you want and we’re closest to. Although I have had this trouble with other tuners as well. It acts as though I’m tuning in a band room with multiple people tuning.

Good tuner, bad ads. I once paid for the app, but upon update it seemed to forget that I had already paid for it. The current free version interrupts the tuner so frequently but I'm worried if I pay for it again I'll lose the benefits. Otherwise I use the free tuner because it has been quite a useful, reliable accurate tuner compared to other similar apps.

Only tuner app you'll need. Accurate and clean interface but what would make this a 5-star app is showing the octave too

Great tool for fun and professional use. I first used N-track tuner 5 years ago when I forgot my regular guitar tuner and found that my iPod could be used as one. The spectrum analyzer can provide a visual feedback to observe how plucking the string at various points results in different harmonics. I also used the app in my HS Physics class for observing different frequencies and harmonics of tuning forks and sound generating experiments. Also as a fun exercise to confuse students I generated annoying high pitch frequencies that only they could hear to assess their hearing loss due to age or damage due to loud music! It really got their attention if tied in to a speaker. As an amateur musician and engineer I highly recommend this app, just purchased the advertisement free version after 5 years of using the app.

N-trac-tuner. I just love n-trac-tuner. I am so glad I learned about it. I play and teach Tibetan Singing Bowls and tell all my students about the App - Thanks for giving us such a wonderful tool.

Good for vocal practice. I use it to fix my pitch when doing voice exercises.

Absolute best tuner app. Best tuner app and I tried a lot of them! You can tune to any frequency. Very reliable, I use it on stage for my synths.

n-Track tuner. I am learning the violin, and intonation is an issue on every note. My iPad is is beside my sheet music. I use n-Track tuner every day and for every song. I definitely use it more than any other app because it helps more than any other app. I very highly recommend!!!!!!!

Rehearsal Time with Songsterfab. I’m in the midst of a rehearsal right now, and this app is open on my phone, riding on my mic stand, even more useable than a headstock-mounted clip-on unit. Perfect. So convenient.

Violin teacher. I use this app personally as well as with my students, and it’s the one I suggest they download when they start. Good basic tuner as well as a bunch of neat extras. I personally like that the tuning fork is loud enough for me to hear over my fiddle - most aren’t.

Good enough. Just wish full screen ads wouldn’t pop up but something’s gotta pay the bills.

Getting buggy in here. After years of working fine, this tuner has recently slipped. It started with annoying ad glitches and now it’s showing up as misidentified notes. What gives?

My favorite tuner. I love it. Plenty of features and settings to tweak. I love being able to see the frequency spectrum and harmonics.

Deceptive In App Purchases. Tapping certain settings within this app will prompt for a "buy full version with Touch-ID" Dialogue box. Accidentally click one of these areas and then try to go to your home screen, and you've bought the app ($5.99) in less than a second

Accurate & versatile. I have been using this app for years. I like that it displays in more than one way. I also like the tone generator for tuning by ear.

Fantastic tuner app. It is very sensitive and works great to tune. I set my phone on my electric guitar body, often in noises environments, and it picks up the reading very accurately.

Fixed Intonation!. I had been struggling for weeks with the intonation on my Les Paul. I was about to break down and go get it professionally done but this was accurate enough for me to finally fix it! Awesome accurate app!

One and Done! In a good way…. I downloaded this app years ago and it’s still my go to tuner. Does what it says it does.

A useful app. Very clear and easy to use. Hold your finger on a frequency peak and know exactly what frequency and dB its at. I have liked N-Track multichannel recording programs and like this too.

My favorite tuner app!. Have used this app right before gigs in loud bar settings, somehow was always able to get things set just right. Very intuitive, very accurate! Stoked that I just found this again, the last tuner app I had was no comparison even though it’s currently the first tuner app listed on the App Store... stunk like fish lol

WAS the best one not now. We understand why there are ads. We get it. But you can’t even finish tuning one string without putting down your pic and clicking the no thanks button....THREE TIMES !!! Your app is awesome. You guys cannot be THAT desperate for money. I USED to recommend this one to all of my students.

Please bring back the option to put notes on the spectrograph. I have to say I love this app and I have been using it for years. My most used feature was always the spectrograph, but once I downloaded the app again for the first time in 3 or 4 years, I noticed y’all had taken away the notes from the spectrograph. A logarithmic frequency scale is mostly useless for my use case, unfortunately, it’s incredibly useful to visualize which notes are out of tune in a harmony/ensemble setting. Will totally upgrade this to 5* upon this tweak. Great work!

Should be the first tuner you see on the App Store.. Excellent user interface, immediately a chromatic tuner instead of a “guitar tuner”, and lots of features that aren’t blocked by a paywall.

Tuning Me for Years. This app is excellent for anyone who needs a tuner BUT that’s not all its great for. Interested in historical tunings? ☑️ What about visualizing via a spectrograph? ☑️ A 3D spectrograph? ☑️ Pitch fork/drone? ☑️ N-TRACK HAS IT ALL!

Perfect. It’s the only app that will let you free tune and just tell you the pitch of whatever you pluck without making you buy something in order to pick a tuning.

Decent free tuner.. I use it for my violin and my kora. It’s a bit sensitive (sometimes gives me readings based on the slightest background noise) but good enough for violin and kora tuning + for most uses. Also appreciate the view that shows to what degree a note is flat/sharp. Very easy to use and convenient.

Awesome. Works well on my iPhone 4s. Tuned a friend's guitar which was badly out of tune from not being used. Also best price ever: Free!

Buggy - and only works at 440 pitch. There's a strange bug - A-flats are not correctly displayed. They appear as A-natural until the pitch drops to exactly A-flat. Anything slightly sharp of A-flat is still shown as A-natural. Also - this tuner only works in 440Hz pitch :( Oh, and note octave numbers aren't displayed either :(

Great app!. this is possibly the best tuning app on the app store and it's free! it has a tome generator that is accurate and usefull to me. Most tone gen apps are costly but this is great!!! it also has a spectrum analyzer!!!

Design. This app is great! Personally, I use it in a professional environment as a sound engineer & piano technician. Great at picking up specifics in a busy environment. The only downside being the current design - the previous design was much more technically comprehensive (now, less detailed), coherent and professionally appealing.

It... Screams at me?. I have a 4th generation ipod touch and this app continually screeches through the speakers or headphones unless the sound is turned down. The scream it creates is of such volume that if i fear for anyones hearing who starts using this app with headphones in. This is a pity since it's otherwise a great app. It's defective to the point of dangerous.

Practical. and easy to use

Awful tuner. Doesn't reliably pick up tones and is so inconsistent it is pretty much unusable as a tuner. I have tried tuning a violin, 2 ukuleles, 2 guitars and a double bass using an iPad 2. Have no idea how any of the other reviewers are using this successfully.

Accurate and easy to use. Been using this for tuning my acoustic guitars for 5years now and works great. Dont even bother using my old Korg Tuner LED tuner anymore as this Tuner App is really accurate!

Useless. This app is totally useless to me. When using the free version it was perfect for my needs. When this froze and invited me to pay money.....which I did, I still have frozen screens. The interactive note display jade gone. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Best interface. I like how this app shows the full eq. This has a usefulness beyond simply tuning. Its also a good free option for alternate tunings as it doesn’t force you into any particular tuning. I play Nick drake songs so I’m always doing weird stuff with the tunings.

Ads have become ridiculous. I bought this app several years ago, but when they switched to a subscription model, I wasn’t interested. The ads were fine, I figured, but now instead of hovering there, they interrupt the tuning on a regular basis with full screen (and sound) ads, which make it bloody impossible.

Great app. Not a musician at all, just needed something to check my daughter's viola was tuned for school practices. This app did the trick.

Actually works!. I've been trying to find an app that I can use to tune my ukelele without spending like 5-10$ (might as well get a real tuner) it's simple, yet does a good job, and unlike lots of other apps I've tried it actually works! I have an iPhone 4s btw

What’s with all the advertising. Haven’t used the app for awhile. It used to be great Now, advertisements keep popping up every few minutes, disrupting my practice. The app used to be much better. Why change it for the worst?

My go-to tuner on the fly!. For my instruments without onboard tuning, this app is my go-to. I always have my phone, so I’m never caught without a tuner. Highly recommend.

Incredible app for listening to & checking the hz sound. What an amazing app and simple to use. You can use it here the frequency as well as for checking the frequency of something - music, tuning fork, singing bowl, etc. The ability to dial in the exact frequency and play it is really appreciated. You can check all the Solfeggio healing frequencies like 432, 288, 384, 256, 364, 303, 456 to name a few to help reset from the awful 440 that is played everywhere like the radio, tv, most main stream music, etc.

Great tuner. I bought the app early on; it was normally priced. Then a few years later I needed to change my apple id, which meant that I couldn't access my purchases made with the old id - and that included n-Track Tuner. Luckily the free version is excellent so I won't need to buy it again (at $18 US/$24 Canadian, that's not going to happen).

Useless on iPad. If you can tune your guitar by wavelength go for it. The iPhone version seems to work - that is, it tells you whether your E is flat or sharp - but this version's only purpose seems to be to give them money. Instant delete.

Best Tuner - Hands Down!. After trying all the annoying branded apps I decided to give N-Track a shot and they did not disappoint! This is the best tuner app you can get! Free or Paid — both versions are awesome and tunning is always on point and works in any environment and any instrument - even drums!!! Do not bother with anything else - get this and thank me later! tldr; best tuner app. better than the branded ones. tunes anything, anywhere.

Fast way to tune. I started playing guitar 40 years ago and never have tuned a guitar so fast and accurate until using this app. My hearing is starting to fail me so I have been looking at tuners. Stand alone tuners have a tiny displays. This display is big and helps fine tune. My instruments are getting old and not play often so detuning is a must for me to increase bridge life. This way I can play more and tune less.

Perfect level of sensitivity.. This aspect can be annoying with some tuner apps. N-Track nailed it.

In app purchases. I accidentally bought the app because Touch ID. Not sure how to get a refund. Just be carful with it. It's a great FREE tuner. Wouldn't pay for it though.

What happened to this app?. This used to be my favorite tuner app. It doesn't even work anymore and now everything is popping up to tell me to buy pro :/ uninstalled and very well earned 1 star. It's disappointing that I have to let this go since using from release.

Too many intrusive ads. Frequent ads fill the entire screen and make it impossible to use until you hit a tiny X. This happens randomly while tuning. I do not recommend.

MASSIVE PRIVACY BREACH. This app requests you location data, copies your clipboard, copies your text messages, and doesn’t even tune properly!?!? It read an A 440 as an E?!

Too much adds!. I like this tuner, but… Every few seconds you have an add! I don’t mind to see adds in free app but this is too much!

Good application that does not work. It doesn’t work on my iPhone, works well in my iPad, but even after paying for the Pro version I can’t access the Pro features and stills get the ads

excellent. highly accurate. i can be pretty far from the phone and it picks up the signal very well. i use it for my acoustic guitar and ukelele. highly recommended.

Ads too many too often. This tuner was useless for tuning my harp. Ads obscuring the tuner popped up several times per string.

No purchase restore. I purchased this on my iPhone, it does not allow me to restore purchase on my iPad which is under the same Apple ID. Dishonest sales practice as far as I’m concerned.

Too intrusive. Ads pay the bills but full page popups get you deleted
