NOTE: Works best on iPhone 4/4S/5/5S/6/6S/7/7+ because it has flash. On iPhone 3GS and iPod touch the app has to be used in good lighting.
NOTE: Make sure that your fingertip completely covers the camera lens. Press gently, since pressing too hard reduces blood flow in your finger and it's harder to get a result. Make sure that your fingers are not cold. This app is for recreational and fitness use only!

I've taken or tried to take my heart rate several times and it gives me a result of between 130-172 BPM. These are all taken while seated wearing another HR monitor. Move along, nothing worth getting here!
The monitor located on my l phone is very convenient. It gives instant information that I use to improve my understanding of my heart issues. Great program thank you
You must enter your email address or Facebook login to get it to work. No thanks!!
Seems accurate enough, but only 5 free measurements until pay wall.
I love this app I have a heart reader on my watch and thought it would work but it doesn’t I love this app
The app does what it says, just disappointed is all... this isn’t the mobile awesome version of
Couldn’t get past the permanent pop up ad to even take my pulse once after it made me create and account or link to my Facebook while it said I had a week left of my trial. Utter crap. Popups sending me to surveys when trying to X out of them. Immediately deleted.
The developer reached out when I groused on-line about some issues, so I appreciate that.
Not paying money for a heart rate monitor app, should be free its to basic
I do not believe for one second the high reviews for this app. Once it loads to your device you have to give it permission to access your device in fact it states that even when not in use it will run continuously and may drain your battery. To use it you put your finger against your camera lens (if you have a protection cover on your IPad or IPhone you’ll need to remove it) then your supposed to get your heart rate reading, BUT there are constant pop ups to buy “extra” features or a professional version. It’s very difficult to hold your finger still against the camera lens and close down the pop ups at the same time. It took me 20 minutes to get one reading. You can only do one reading in a 24 hour period of time, so once a day. Worst app ever.
Scammy because instead of closing the ad, the little red x opens it. Spammy because it forces you to register then the email blasting begins. Naggy because you only get a few inaccurate reads before you have to upgrade to premium. Don’t waste your time.
Awesome app, easy to use and accurate
Now you have login to FB to use this heart rate monitor & it still doesn’t work 😕It was good when it worked before but the newer updated version isn’t worth having!
Used to be able to take your heart rate at any time now it want you to Buy iyand there's no free option any more when you start up the app it forces you to purchase it or you can't use it all that history gone I don't want to spend $80 a year on an app that just measures heart rate what a croc
I use this app all the time coz my heart rate is up and down regularly.
Just a scam to get data to sell.
Out of all apps this has never let me down
Opened the app and took a measurement, once done a screen pops which tells me I have to sign up with email to save the reading. I sign up, then next screen tells me I can access the app free for 14 days then after that $14.99!!!! It’s a heart rate monitor!! And there’s no mention of payment or limited trial periods in the description - deceptive conduct! Deleting immediately
Don’t get this ap if you just want a rate monitor, you’ll get one use then have to create an account.
The app what’s to run with subscription it tell you it will take money from my Apple App Store account . Will I can’t find where I can stop this . No help from Heart app don’t just delete it because it will take money from you ..
Very good source to have
This app requires an email address or Facebook login before it’ll operate. I’m not so bothered by that as you can put in any nonsense email address and it’ll work. To be fair, it works ONCE before that was necessary. What bothers me is then it demands a reminder to check your heart rate: daily, weekly or custom. There is no option to turn this off. I tried setting up a custom reminder and turning off all days but it wouldn’t work. The only reason for such tight controls is to gather data they have no business having. This app was deleted from my phone within minutes of opening it.
This company collects and sells all of your user information in and out of the country including your name, your phone number and anything else attached to your Facebook profile.
Use to use this for free all the time a year ago, but now it looks like the free option is locked out.
Sometimes but most of the time
Heart rate monitor is accurate. I have checked it at the cardiologist office.
After 9 pulse measurements over a couple days I now can’t do anything without going premium. Nope. You guys have a poor business model and wasted my time.
I have been using this app for a while. One Saturday I felt my heart racing and used the app. My heart rate was 153. I thought this can’t be right. It went like this the whole weekend. At work on Monday, my heart was still racing. I really didn’t think much about it. I walked two miles that day. The next day this was still happening. I took my heart rate with the app and it was over 160. I was light headed and just felt weird. I went to the ER and after an examination, the doctor told me I was in Afib. I was admitted to the ICU and my heart was set back into a normal rhythm. I’m set to see a cardiologist and I am being treated for sleep apnea. I’m on meds to keep my heart in rhythm normal. I am a 52 year old woman. My mother died suddenly of a heart attack at 53. If I hadn’t been keeping track of my heart rate, I would just have put it down to fatigue or menopause. This app is correct.
Nice idea, but no. The “free” demo only works just long enough to start demanding money or personal info.
Only took a second. Finally something useful. Need more functions to validate the price of this iPhone. Thanks
This is an amazing app I would highly recommend that you download this app as it’s really great let’s you know if you’re heart rate is too high or too low so I’d highly recommend you download this app it great for other things as well not only heartbeat it’s let you know how healthy you are and helps gives you ideas also I love it as it reminds you every day to do your heart rate and logs it in with all your information
This app is easy to use and efficient
I have BACTERIAL INFECTIONI HAD A LUMP ON THE MITRAL VALVE THEY CALLED IT BACTERIAL INFECTIVE ENDOCARDITIS WAS TOLD I HAD 3DAYS to LIVE AT 28 years old cause a DENTIST nearly killed me he burst an abbseesi I must swallowed a bit got sick for the hole year I’d get a chest X-ray I had numonia that’s how they found out they docs said u could drop dead when I was walking my dog
Easy to use and accurate compared to a pulse oximeter
If you don’t mind the pop ups, it’s all good.
Requires sign up for use.
Works well and is accurate when compared while having a fitness strap on.
It spends all its time trying to get money off you rather then let you see what it’s like. !!! Deleted after 2 min and 10 money requests.
Did one pulse reading and then won’t let you do any more without signing up, waste of time
