Used to work fine now all it does is crash. Can’t even open. Cannot contact app support either. Very disappointing!
I have problems since I updated my device to iOS 11. The Guardian App keeps asking me to subscribe, I am already a paying subscriber! Now it just keeps crashing! I have been trying to open it but it crashes every time. Terrible!
Something is happening today with the app. I can’t even open it without crashing, and of course I can’t use the app support link here in the AppStore because it just opens the app... which crashes.
First time I have a problem with this app; this last update broke it all the way. I launch it, the screen goes black and then I’m immediately taken back to my iPhone’s desktop. This happens every single time I try to open it.
David Frum said - you want to make a difference? Support journalism! Subscribe to our local, national and international papers. Make a difference. This paper goes above and beyond. The app is user friendly - easy to save and share stories. Reading this paper has become a daily habit!
The Guardian news app is my go-to source. User friendly & fast, the site is relevant no matter where you live.
I like the depth of the coverage, but it feels more liberal and less straightforward reporting.
Good running app
Something about the Guardian's roots being outside the US gives its reporting a wider, removed view of the US. I appreciate the editors' choices and the chance to see the US as the world sees us.
Great news coverage, well written.
My daily go-to for unfiltered unbiased and reliably up to date news
One of the main reason for downloading the app is due to the Guardians Football weekly show which is like a nice plate of succulent chicken. Taste awesome but too much to eat in on sitting so you have to put it in the fridge and eat the next day which even taste better. If they make it any longer it would be like reheating the chicken twice and that never turns out good.
The Guardian is a great news source. Intelligent, balanced, honest commentary and reporting of what's happening on the planet. There is a bias, it's toward a balanced view of some depth, rather than sensationalist garbage that masquerades as news as put forward by the self serving, manipulative supposed news sources apart from the Guardian.
Great spread for news across the globe.
In contrast to the other apps, guardian has been well adapted to mobile reading. I love it much.
The best news site. Articulate, incisive and balanced. Easy to navigate and comprehensive.
I was initially a wildly enthusiastic "The Australian" supporter. Back when it was launched I didn't yet know about Rupert bias or news of the world story slanting. Well, I'm older now and see through Rupert and his schemes like an X-Ray machine through a tubby girth. So the release of an Australian version of the Guardian came as fresh water to a third world villager. What good old style reporting. No Rupert Trickery and an easily navigated online app. I am a Guardian Supporter and proud of it.
Unbiased and sceptical reporting on an app that is constantly up to date.
I use it all day, everyday!!!!
I go to the Guardian first for my breaking news. Within the Guardian app there are also easy to access related stories on similar or related topics. Thanks for the great reporting!
Simply the best.
The Guardian consistently offers well written and well reasoned articles of news, analysis, and opinion. I've subscribed for six months and it is a go to resource for me for news.
Tired of bored conservatives who lack joy of life
A different take on our domestic stories is necessary in these times and The Guardian provides this with precision and accuracy. The layout and mechanics are user friendly and efficient. It is a valuable and quick read for curious minds.
Good reporting and the app doesn't get in your way. You can read in depth if you want, but it doesn't overdo.
Easy access to top stories. Well organized and intuitive.
Hard to find fault in a free app that educates and informs its readers with its reporting, coverage of the arts, and criticism. The Guardian is a vital newspaper and, in contrast to its competitors in the English-speaking world, it offers unlimited access (no specified numbers of free articles per month and no paywalls). Enjoy it and help sustain so others, in less privileged financial situations, can continue to do so.
