Great hotel choices and prices, BUT treated poorly upon arrival. The concept of the app is genius. Prices are good and fair for last min booking. Would be great if they could lower the prices after a certain time frame and/or offer a rate for after 2am check in and same day check out. Sometimes you just party too hard that you just want to crash in a nice bed till 10am and leave. (This is directed to the business development team when picking new places) But I realize that third party bookings are not the main revenue generator but at least treat us with some kind of respect. We filled a room for a very low price that might have been empty. We helped you achieve 100% occupancy and made you look good to corporate... if you have a bigger room, maybe a upgrade would be nice because after that, I’ll always try and stay with you. I rather stay at the same place then different ones... in the end I paid for something. If it’s the quality you want to take out, fine but keep my check in process the same as others. And maybe offer more upgrade options... giving me a bunk bed for me and my man to sleep on after a club night is not cute. At least tell me your going to put me in there. POD hotel was smart and made separate category’s for the bunk rooms, they rest of you should too.

Worst customer service and edited pictures. I wouldn’t recommend this app and their service to anyone. We were forced to request out bank the cancellation of the transaction since I did not use the room. I explained the reasons given that the hotel was in inaceptable conditions that made my stay impossible. the room was dirty, there were cigarette butts everywhere, the bathroom tiles were on the floor, there was garbage everywhere among other reasons. The same afternoon I tried to cancel the reservation as soon as I saw the place and the room but the hotel manager forced me to keep it claiming that I could not make a cancellation at that point. This was via phone call and with a disrespectful treatment. We also called Hotel Tonight and they literally told me that there was nothing they could do for us. But I just got a email where they say that if I don’t pay the money they will close my account which I couldn’t be happier with. I would not use this scam again. I would also like to mention that the photos published in the application are edited and are far from the real appearance of the hotel. That night I had to find another place to stay.

Worse Experience ever. Iv been a member since 2015 never ever had a problem like this! Booked my room like usual when I go out of town! It was $219 a night! Booked my room! Get to the Hotel Hilton Gardens Jacksonville FL! Soon as I get there takes 15 minutes to be help no one at the front desk! When someone comes I explain I have reservations! I paid $219 already the hotel is charging me a extra $180 dollars! Which would bing my total to $399 dollars! I said on Hotel tonight the pet fee is $50 hotel says no it’s $125 dollars and a extra $55 dollars for the room! I call hotel tonight the guy helping made me feel like I wasn’t a customer! I said they charging me extra $180! He didn’t call them or try to help me! He just kept asking me the same question! I asked to speak to a manager he left me on hold for 15 minutes then hung up! I hope the get my information and listen to my experience! My family and I was all happy to have a short get away since I work a lot! This really set a tone for our vacation

Literally Obsessed with HotelTonight. As an avid traveler and a forever fan of hotel happy hour cocktail bars; I have become obsessed with this app ever since discovering it. It’s such a great idea to have last minute specials featured for spur of the moment travelers and staycationer’s. I have actually made it a point to book hotels at times when I’ve been able to treat myself because I’ve seen it on here at such a good deal! You can also book a month or two in advance(always good to shop all the sites). I have to call out their amazing customer service, even when responding to issues, their service is top notch! They have always responded quickly to any issues I’ve had with any hotels, and in todays era I so appreciate seamless service and experience when it comes to apps/websites! Sometimes the photos for the featured hotels are not the best, sometimes weird angles or the rooms appear much bigger, but this is an issue with any travel site(TBH). Also sometimes I disagree just slightly with the hotel star classification, but I think part of the fun of any hotel stay is getting to compare your opinion to review sites/booking aggregates. Also love the perks program and the fact that despite the low rates you sometimes get upgrades at check in! To sum it up; a great app for last minute travels and those planning ahead! I also love the easy to use interface and streamlined navigation. I have become a huge staycationer, thanks HotelTonight!

Very poor customer service. I have used this app many times and have had great experiences with it. However, recently I a very bad experience staying at a hotel in which The hoteltonight App had described as a suite. The room was a box with a broken phone and stains all over the comforter. The Hotel was booked so there were no other rooms to choose from and when I complained to hoteltonight they simply offered a $25 coupon when the room cost $388. The hotel itself was going to cut my price in half (because I initially was charged from both places). After going back-and-forth for hours, over the course for 2 weeks in the chat section of The app, I got nowhere. Finally, I was able to speak with someone on the phone who spoke little English and couldn’t understand my complaint. Once I think she finally did she asked if I would prefer a phone call or email back, I requested a phone call and of course I received an email. Something about read the terms blah blah blah. It’s unfortunate being a long-time customer that has booked many rooms with them, the first time I have an issue they did not handle it properly. It turns out if you contact hotels directly most times you can negotiate the price to lower than what hoteltonight is offering since they take a $50 cut of what you pay. Save your money and don’t use this app. You’ll also be saving yourself from a headache if you ever have an issue with a booking.

Just WOW at how intuitive this app is. There’s something about this app that just keeps me coming back to. I don’t normally use it often, but at times when I need it, it has always done me right by literally giving me the cheapest rate available. Even down to usability and simplicity, everything is essentially just one click or two at most away from the next step. It is wonderfully designed and coded, it’s smooth and it’s, again, extremely intuitive. Now that they offer booking in advance, which previously it didn’t (that should tell you just how long I’ve an user of this app), this is almost a no brainer when it comes to booking for hotels. Yeah, you will always find that one time that some other website has a cheaper deal, but I’m loving this app for beyond just the price competitiveness. It’s user-friendly. Good job, team Hotel Tonight.

Well done. Great Company! Great App! Great People!. I’m certain there are great people behind everything you all do. I run communications for VC firms. And this gives me a front row seat to the best play of all time—The Entrepreneur’s Journey. My favorite part of what I do is meeting the brave visionaries who set out to create something meaningful and useful to solve people’s problems and make their life better. The energy and enthusiasm is contagious and I want everyone to succeed and feel like they’ve made a difference in people’s lives. But the hard truth is it’s hard to do. What I’ve learned, in most cases, is that the folks who accomplish this carry with them a genuine and sincere care for the people with them on their disruptive mission. That must be the case here. Of all the apps I’ve ever used, this one has been the most impactful and useful and continues to make a measurable difference in my life—from both a financial and emotional perspective. Sure, saving money is tantamount to an entrepreneur. But even more is the jolt of excitement felt when experiencing big win. And that’s the feeling I get when I open the app and start a search. When I scroll down the list of hotels, I feel like it was curated by a trusting friend who is sharing some inside baseball and has my best interests at heart. Please pass my gratitude along to the incredible people and teams that make this happen. Best, Jason Carter

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I’ve used Hotel Tonight once and I will never again. The hotel that I booked through Hotel Tonight canceled my reservation and told Hotel Tonight but Hotel Tonight never contacted me. So I trekked the the hotel on New Years Eve in Sydney, Australia only to find out, I didn’t actually have a room. I was on hold with 2 different Hotel Tonight customer service reps for 40 minutes and was given different stories each time and wasn’t given a comped room anywhere else because it being New Years Eve, everything was either already booked or ridiculously expensive. Meanwhile their app still showed my hotel that evening as confirmed with instructions on check in time, etc. and the next day, the app asked me to rate how my stay was... seems shady considering that my reservation was canceled. When I emailed their customer service to ask why the app still showed the reservation, I never got an answer. Nor did they ever send an email that showed that my credit card was refunded, but luckily the refund did go through 8 days later. So stay away is my advice, there are plenty of other last-minute hotel options to book with that aren’t shady and treat their customers better.

Hotel Tonight Rocks!!!. I Love the customer service with hotel tonight not to mention the BEST PRICES ON SPUR OF THE MOMENT HOTEL SHOPPING ! I find myself doing a lot of spur of the moment shopping and when I go through Hotel Tonight , I have NEVER had a problem that they couldn’t fix! I didn’t have to pay extra for that either it just comes with their service like it should. Other apps make you buy the service of being kind and complementary and if you don’t …. Your screwed! There is nothing worse that booking two rooms accidentally on the same night and then you forced to pay for it? That NEVER HAPPENS WITH HOTEL TONIGHT ! They are ALWAYS HELPFUL . NO MATTER WHAT GOES WRONG IN MY EXPERIENCE HOTEL TONIGHT FIXES IT FOR NO CHARGE . Plus they aren’t hard to get ahold of! They actually answer and fix your problem! Thanks Hotel Tonight for awesome customer service! KIMPOSSIBLE1111!

Terrible company and customer service. We booked a hotel through hotels tonight for a weekend stay. We specifically filtered the results to find a hotel with a pool as we planned to spend the weekend with our family enjoying this amenity. The information on hotels tonight both showed a picture of a pool and also listed an outdoor pool as an amenity. After arriving at the hotel, we were informed that there is no pool at the hotel, the only reason we booked this hotel. We contacted hotels tonight via email as well as phone customer service and explained the situation. After 3.5 hours of discussing the situation, they informed us that the only thing they could do was give us a $20 credit to our account. They admitted their error, changing the information on their listing. When asked what we could have done differently or what we did wrong in this situation, they recognized that we “did nothing wrong and the information listed was incorrect” and had “already contacted the local managers to make sure the information was correct.” They also confirmed with the hotel that what we were telling them was correct and informed us that because our payment was non refundable, they would be unable to do anything other than a measly $20 credit that has not even been posted to my account.

Glitchy app decent customer service. The process seemed very simple, but after the first attempt to book a hotel for the night to come at a certain price that was advertised online the app seemed to give me a random night almost three weeks from the night I intended. Then when I called customer service they were able to cancel the reservation and leave me with credit to attempt to rebook. When I attempted to rebook through the app the price had almost tripled, but I was stuck using it because of the credit I needed to use from the false booking. So I went ahead and booked anyway because I was told the credit would be applied automatically, however when I actually booked there was NO option to apply the credit. So I assumed the credit had been applied, until I checked my online banking to find the entire price had been charged. No I was out almost 400$ on what I thought would originally be roughly 100$ Charge. The only reason I don’t give zero stars is because after another conversation with customer service the customer service was reasonable to work with and ended up refunding the initial charge instead of leaving me with credit to spend. At least that’s what they said they would do but it may take up to 5 work days to see it, and I’m still waiting to see.

Not worth it. After having an account since 2012 and 22 stays and being at level 4 of perks - I opened the app which I was not yet signed into my account and viewed prices for hotels in Bergen county. Then I signed into my account and all the prices for the exact same hotels were the same. How does that make sense? What perks am I receiving? I would rather just pay the hotels directly. No longer using this app. Just got off the phone with customer service to ask the, why the price is the same before and after logging in and for 35 minutes had a clueless rep lie, make up stuff, then tell me that the hotels I was referring to were unavailable even though I was looking at them and they were very much available. On top of that - I was checking prices on this app and comparing to the rates of the actual hotels and it turns out that it is cheaper to pay the hotel directly! I don’t understand how this app has. 4.9 rating when all I see is a bunch of one star ratings but I am not using this garbage app ever again. They clearly became a scam app. When I first started using it , it seemed to be useful and now they are literally just scamming. And the perks levels is a bunch of bull. No matter how many hotels you book through this app - your prices are going to be the same as anyone else’s

Slept in my car. Well, let’s just say it was terrible - booked a room at 1pm and drove from Chicago to Indiana with a friend (should I mention she’s disabled) for a concert. We drive straight to the show and upon leaving, I logged into my APP that said “Hey Night Owl, Check Out is at 12pm.” You would think if they GAVE AWAY MY ROOM this message wouldn’t appear on my app. Well, supposedly they “emailed me.” Isn’t this APP for travelers that may not be waiting in a WiFi Spot for an email? Well, the hotel Marriott Gardens couldn’t have been more Ryder. They wouldn’t even look up the reservation or my last name. After spending hours on the phone between Hotels Tonight & the Corp Hotel - a 40 year old (me) and my disabled friend (47) spent an hour trying to sleep as the sun came up and drove 3.5 hrs to Chicago. Hotels Tonight was going to give me a $50 credit and then after I complained - they gave me $75. Ha! Days later I’m still waiting for my $225 REUND Hotels Tonight charged me for while the hotel gave away my room. Let’s just say I wouldn’t be using the credit for anything less than a $225 CREDIT. What a nightmare. Worst app ever! Used this app in NYC and it was a pain hopping from hotel to hotel anyway. I would recommend you save your time, money & precious sleep on NOT RELYING ON THIS “App.” What a joke! This company won’t last long. Try Trip Advisor or a more reputable company.

Hotel not as described. I booked 5 places through this app and am leaving the first place tomorrow. I booked this place as it was described as a resort and I wanted you treat myself. This is not even close to being a resort. It's a basic hotel. I paid a lot of money for this and feel taken advantage of. The room is shabby, old, with dings on all the furniture. The remote for the tv doesn't work properly. They claim there's a restaurant here, which was one off there reasons I booked this place for that convenience. There's not a restaurant. There's a bar that is open some nights. They do serve some really overpriced basic food today want very good. There was a $25 amenities fee that was not listed on the app. I emailed the app about it and they claim it's on there. I have examined the whole description and still can't find it. This was a crock and I have been cheated. I am concerned that the next 4 places will be a huge disappointment as well. I typically write only good reviews, but I paid $222 a night for a place that rates not even half that. Honesty is what I deserve and what we all deserve. Be careful. Scam alert! Will follow up with the next 4 places.

Not (Necessarily!) the Best Deal. When I first started using HT a couple of years ago, I got the impression that the focus of this service was mostly last-minute, low-price (in other words, really good!) deals on unsold available hotel rooms. I did, in fact, get several screaming deals that I was unable to find on other sites. Since that time, however, the difference between what I can find here and on other sites has shrunk to the point that this service doesn’t really deliver many true ‘deals’, and I’m finding that availability is lower and prices are not, when compared to other sites. (I don’t mind the scarcity of available rooms—that sort of supports the idea of last-minute unsolds—but the pricing should be lower). This past weekend, I booked a room on HT, pre-paid for the room, then had the hotel present me with a receipt for the night when I checked out, reflecting (I guess) what they would’ve charged me had I booked directly with them...their price to me would’ve been just about 20% cheaper than I was able to get on HT. I might use HT again, but it’s lost some of its luster, making me feel like I can’t rely on the ‘good deal’ appeal anymore...I’ll have to go back to comparison shopping between several sites...buyer beware!

Make sure to read all the details. I originally booked a room through them and hadn’t realized that I booked the wrong type of room (1 bed instead of 2), they only have certain room types available. I called support within seconds of booking and said they could cancel it but couldn’t give me a refund, all they could do was offer a credit so I took it and looked elsewhere for that night. The credit was readily available when I came back to the app to book another room days later. I thought I had gone through the whole process of booking this next room but never got a confirmation and later realized it didn’t go through. I tried booking a second time and there was an error with my account and had to call customer service who said my account was flagged but he fixed it and told me to sign out of my account first. I logged out, logged back in and again received an error. I logged out again and then wasn’t able to log back in. I had to call support again who said my account was still disabled and I’d normally have to send an email but he would take care of it. I logged out again and was finally able to log back in and book my room. The whole thing was just a ton of work.

Terrible service on Valentine’s Day. I booked a room for Valentine’s Day about a week in advance. They sent me the receipt and charged my card immediately. The night of my stay, I was in a rush to get everything in my room so I could get to my dinner reservation, so I called the hotel. I asked if they could speed up check in so I can grab the key and go straight to the room. The hotel was happy to help, but couldn’t find my reservation anywhere. I said “that’s okay, I’ll check in when I get there”. Once I got there, the check in desk let me know that HotelsTonight never sent them the reservation. Now I’m mad. I call up customer support and spoke with Marco who assured me that he would have the issue resolved within 10 minutes and he would call me back immediately. I said that it’s ridiculous that I even need to wait because this should have been taken care of the second I booked the room. Marco eventually called back OVER AN HOUR LATER. At that point, I already worked it out with the hotel. Needless to say, I’m deleting the app off my phone

Great app. I had some booking issue on a recent trip. One was my fault, the other was on the hotels end. I contacted Hotel Tonight customer support team. I didn’t have any intention of mentioning my mistake, in booking one hotel for 1 night longer than I needed. The other issue was the booking hotel in a different city, told me my reservation was cancelled by HT, when I arrived. They would not book me without me paying twice as much. I booked a neighboring hotel, through HT, within 2 mins. And my stay there was fantastic. The customer service was prompt and friendly. They were able verify my reservation had been cancelled but by the hotel itself not HT. So they credited me with the full price of the booking. But wait it gets better!!! They also check into the hotel that I accidentally booked an extra night at ( I was going to basically eat the price of that booking, again my mistake) and gave me full credit for that night also! These credit are in app credits but good for 1 year! Happy Customer!!! See ya in the Hotel

Stranded in Alexandria with no hotel. I was in Alexandria VA this past weekend and showed up at my confirmed hotel and they didn't have my reservation. I waited at the front desk for about 45 min/1 hour while the woman tried to figure out what hotel I was supposed to be in. She was told that Hotel Tonight moved me to a different hotel. Of course I wasn't notified of this. As she was on the phone with Hotel Tonight who was trying to find me a new reservation (of which there were none in any hotels in the nearby area), I had plans and had people waiting on me. So I had to leave and was stranded without a hotel room bringing all of my belongings with me. I ended up having my father and I sleeping on the couch and the floor of a friend's hotel room. It was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had. And the email I received after I had left was an apology with a $35 credit which would barely cover a mini bar snack. This wasn't just an inconvenience, this was absolutely unacceptable, and they didn't make any effort to make it up to me. And to make matters worse, when I called to talk to someone about this, I couldn't get anyone on the phone because the phones were down! Worst customer experience ever. How would you feel if you were stranded in a city you've never been to with no hotel??? Even when you had a supposed confirmation??? Don't use this app. You might be left without a hotel room.

Oh no! Two bad experiences in a row. The worst hotel rooms. I’m pretty basic I need a safe clean room to sleep. First room book was cute but over looked construction. I accidentally booked this hotel in the app, it wasn’t too far away so I thought I’ll give it a go anyways. But the second morning at 5 am the construction beamed a light right into my room. Both mornings construction started promptly at 7 luckily I didn’t need it during the day. The second booking the room given you basically could jump out the window to get on the bus stop. No screens or locks the room reeked of Lysol I told the front desk they were telling me they couldn’t do anything and I said well I can’t stay here. I started to cry it was expensive and they reluctantly relocated me. The second room was one floor up better not Lysol smell but strong smoke smell and windows wouldn’t stay open nothing to prop it open either. And a crazy person was laughing all night I had to leave the tv on. The linens don’t feel fresh. I’m not kidding you the worst hotel experience of my life both hotel tonight and the hotels did nothing to help and just said well that’s the app the rooms we can’t sell. Like what? These rooms obviously no one should stay at. I am horrified and it really ruin my time in the city where I was needing a place to stay but not worth it to use this app. These rooms should not be given to anyone ever.

Not the people you could trust if you ever experience a problem at your stay.. I had been using the Hotel Tonight app for years and so far all seemed good to me for the convenience and ease. But my most recent booking turned out some issues. I booked for two nights at the Monte Carlo in Brampton ON, and sleep was impossible due to people yelling and fighting, hitting the walls and also fighting in the hallway. This went on all night and morning. The hotel manager tried accommodating my complaint but I want a refund at this point. Called Hotel Tonight and spoke to Oscar and he was not helpful. Horrible experience in a foreign country and the people who you are giving your business to basically do not care to help right their wrongs. I left the hotel and I’m going to pursue a full refund. I do not recommend Hotel Tonight for customer care. You are on your own should there be any problems and they have what seems to be an absolutely no refund policy no matter the circumstance. In speaking to Oscar it was made clear to me that Hotel Tonight’s customer and priority is the hotel and not the people who use their app. A backwards business model...smh!

Terrible. Stole money from us. How? They did not correctly communicate/set up our reservation with the hotel and stranded us until 4 am because we couldn't check in. We kept calling hotel tonight and they put us on hold for hours. We spent hours on hold trying to find out why the hotel had no record of our reservations and couldn’t let us check in and get our rooms. Hotel tonight finally got the reservation over tot the hotel at 4 am and we were then able to get our rooms. Hotel tonight (HT) still charged us for a full night stay for both rooms. Contacted them many times and HT continues to refuse to make us whole for the charge for an entire night. To date no one from HT will respond to us about this and we have no option but to escalate this via BBB and upward for fraud if we don’t get a response and a refund. Watch out for this company - they seem fine at first but when something goes wrong ie you can’t check in until 4 am in Las Vegas like us and it’s HT’s Fault, they won’t help you and will take your money and won’t give you a dime back or an apology. You also can’t get anyone on the phone that is in a leadership role and they refuse a call back option with a manager. Not worth it - they will probably be sued in the near future as I am sure I’m not the only one this has happened to.

Horrible App / Please read. A while back i was looking for a hotel to stay at overnight. I was traveling across the United States and i needed a place to stay. A friend recommended this app assuring they had great hotels for a great price. So i hopped on. Found a hotel. La quinta In Memphis Tennessee. The pictures looked great. The reviews even better. So i booked. I was pleased , that is until i showed up to the hotel. The place was trash, the employees were rude (person at the front desk constantly popped her tongue and rolled her eyes) the building was under repairs (there was pieces of the ceiling exposed / pipes exposed with no warning signs) and the doors to the rooms were broken ( you have to swipe your card about 10 times before getting being able to get in). Totally unsafe place to stay at. Nothing compared to the pictures or the reviews people had posted. I called customer and asked if there was any possible way i could get my refund due to the fact of how unsafe this place was. There response “ we have a no refund policy. You should ask a family member or friend if they would like to take your place “ ..... if you do decide to use this app. And you find a great deal. Show up to the hotel first. Ask to look at the rooms . Look around the building. If all checks out. Book the room. I wouldn’t want anyone else in the situation i found myself in.

Price jumps. Have booked a ton through this app and thought it was great until recently. I noticed that when I start looking at hotels in advance then go back into book the prices jumps up 30 dollars. Not sure if the technology tracks which hotels you are viewing and then price jumps you when ready to book. This last time I booked at the higher price again and when I went back into the app to look at the note again the prices had then returned to the 30 dollar cheaper rate. I called HT and talked a super rude agent named Paulo that claimed he was a manager but was the agent that answered the call? I asked if he would credit me the 30 dollars since the price went back down after I booked. He refused and wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation. I have spent thousands of dollars on this app and now they are going to lose a big customer over 30 bucks and bad service. I may look at the hotels on the app but will always book direct now. All the hotels have price guarantees that will Match or best HT prices.

User Review since 2013. I've been using Hotel Tonight since 2013. I've used it across 5 countries (US, Canada, Columbia, Australia, Argentina). During all of these travels, I've relied heavily on Hotel Tonight. It got to the point where I would book international trips and wait till I land in the country- before booking a room. I did this specifically in Australia. I was traveling alone and wanted to see Sydney a little bit before settling on a spot for a couple days. I ended up getting a Perks Deal that saved me $45/ night compared to every other site. The reason for that specific story was to highlight the overall ease of using this hotel app. I have stayed in several boutique hotels that I would not have considered had it not been for Hotel Tonight's reviews, pics, and of course excellent pricing. I have recommended this to all my friends and coworkers.

Three strikes in 2 weeks with this app. The good: cheapest price on a hotel The bad: The first two times we booked through Hotel Tonight when we got to the actual hotel, they did not have any reservation for us. My wife spent 10-15 minutes on both occasions calling Hotel Tonight’s 800 number and they got it straight both times. A wasted phone call and wasted time on both occasions. The worst: The third time I used them I happened to call the actual hotel a few days prior to arriving to verify my reservation only to find out, once again, that there was no reservation for me. So ... I called Hotel Tonight’s 800 number again and Jose said he got it “fixed”. I called the hotel again two nights before the trip and they confirmed that I had a reservation, but that it was cancelled by the same company that booked it. Hotel Tonight. I went ahead and made a reservation directly with the hotel and called Hotel Tonight’s 800 number again to get a refund. After explaining my history of experiences with their company and verifying what had happened they called me back and offered me a “CREDIT” on my account with them, not a refund of my money for their mistake. Needless to say, not only would I not recommend this site, but will be filing a case with the Better Business Bureau.

Less is more. I’ve used HotelTonight for a few years now, most recently a week ago for an impromptu getaway with my hubby. The things I appreciate about the app may not incentivize everyone, but they’re a game changer for me. First of all, having limited choices, pre-vetted, makes it easier for me to make a decision. Too many options, all over the place, and I get bogged down in indecision. “Here’s what we got, here’s where they are on the map, here’s your cost, here’s what else you’ll owe, yay or nay.” I also like having Info about pets, parking, and resort fees clearly laid out. No surprises upon checkin or weeding through separate hotel websites to get answers in order to compare. Lastly, I appreciate the labeling categories - basic, solid, charming.. Some trips basic will do, others may warrant charming or Luxe.. So far, HotelTonight has not let me down. [the only thing that I’d change would be to add a (consistent) pet filter so I don’t get excited about a place, then get my hopes squelched when I scroll down and see the “No Pets” line.]

Liars and scammers!. I made a reservation for a room for a Saturday night on a Friday evening. I woke up with an email survey asking about my stay at the hotel the was when I knew something was wrong. I called both the hotel and customer service of this app. to see if I can get the day switched because the date was booked for the wrong day. The confirmation I got was not for Friday it was for Saturday. Hotels tonight said they had to call the hotel to see if they were willing to change my reservation BUT the hotel said that Hotels tonight had to be the one who changed the reservation as my booking was made thru the app. The hotel was kind enough to give me a discounted rate for my stay but I lost out on $132 that HT refused to change my date. I didn’t want a refund I wanted to change my date to the correct date which was an error on their part. In the end they offered me a credit of $25 and asked me to be more careful when making a booking. This is unacceptable customer service. I will never book thru this app again. They will not buy my silence with a $25 credit. I will tell anybody and everybody not to use this app.

Where the customer service? Where is the chat thread that disappeared?. Been a member since August 2018, where last summer I visited NYC and stayed at various hotels using this app and my level kept going up... now suddenly it’s showing only 1 hotel stay in my history and my (perks) level is back to square one. When I inquired with an associate about it, they said it was because I was signed in with different email. Not true. Only signed up once and only with one email. What’s going on?? Digital worldly app Hotel Tonight? Up until a stay the other night I had perfect experiences... but then... Horrible hotel stay on Maui/ days inn (so u fortunate and utterly boring, I will not bore you with details) and HT has not resolved issue or refunded or offered anything else. An extra erroneous charge by days inn hotel is obviously being refunded back but what about the rest of the horrible experience during our stay? I will report one of the terrible incidents: the housekeepers came into our room twice once before checkout (rounded up our clothes and sent it to lost and found and ground outside room) 45 minutes BEFORE 11:00am checkout while we were at the beach. The second time the inspecting housekeeper barged in on us as we were changing and my fiancé was naked, literally didn’t even give us a chance to answer the door after he loud and abrupt knock.

Great savings on luxury accommodations. I love using Hotel Tonight while vacationing! Like everyone else, I always want to save money on accommodations - thinking that it you only need to go there to sleep at night. But, the saying “you get what you pay for” is especially true with hotels. The cheapest rates are often at places that you wouldn’t want to stay at. Their poor reviews are a result of problems with cleanliness, maintenance, or just the overall shabbiness of the property. With Hotel Tonight, I was able to get awesome, luxurious rooms at substantial savings. Once, I booked a high end hotel in Anaheim, near Disneyland for less then the nightly rate of a Quality / Comfort Inn. I was gawking at the glitz of the lobby and the marvelous room. Another time, while in Miami, I booked a room and ended up getting a luxurious suite just a block from the beach - with a leather pull out couch, a stove, and ... a washer and dryer???!!! At about half the usual rate!

Bad Experience. So unless you have a phone that no one else could possibly have access to do not install this. Someone used this app, a minor at that, and booked a room on. The hotel was great but the hotel tonight people were terrible. They refused to refund but instead of just saying it’s out policy, which I could live with, they said they called the hotel to ask for an exception and the hotel said no. Meanwhile, I called the hotel which denied any such contact and the hotel could not refund because it was paid through this app. Instead they have credited me not 1 but 2 nights in their establishment and apologized profusely. I intend to follow up with this because a minor cannot enter into a contract, not even for a hotel room, and has an absolute right to avoid the contract if they wish. As such, no binding contract was created when a minor completed an unauthorized transaction. It’s one thing to have a policy that is blindly followed, it’s another to boldly lie to your customer base while trying to do something you simply can’t do to begin with (I.e. hold a minor to a contract for non-essentials). The only reason it’s 2 stars instead of 1 is because it could have been worse? Maybe. I’m trying to stay positive here. I may downgrade them to 1 if I lose my zen.

Forced double book. Quick warning on Hotel Tonight booking glitch. I booked a room on Saturday 7/11. After booking was complete, it popped my immediately back to the booking site as if it didn’t go through. I proceeded to book. I found out (after the fact) that I booked 2 rooms, same night, same name. I reached out to customer service and they gave me a credit for the second room, but still charged my card for the full amount of the unnecessary room that was never checked into. They did not refund the second night. This all feels like an intentional effort to have customers book the same room twice. Because they were literally booked within 5 seconds of each other, it was clearly a mistake. I was disappointed that they would keep the $$ and not give a refund, and I want to warn others that their booking is not seamless and it appears they want you to double book a room.

Do NOT Use. This app is a good concept, but I’ve used it three times and had issues every time. First time I booked I inadvertently hit the wrong day. They did not offer anything to cancel. I had to eat the entire cost of around $275. Second time was yesterday after a long day of flight delays and cancellations I was stranded at JFK. Jumped on the app and booked Hampton Inn no problem. I’m in the air Tran on the way to hotel shuttles and they call me to tell me they don’t actually have a room there and that they credited my HT account the $203 I just spent. I didn’t have time to deal with it and all hotels were selling out so I quickly booked a room at the Radison on the app too. Another $225 on my credit card. I get there and the front desk tells me they are sold out of rooms and the app should not have allowed it. I was about to lose it, it was 11pm and I had no place to sleep before I had to be up at 4am. Finally the hotel (which was nasty by the way) “found” a room for me. I took it, slept about an hour and a half and woke up to shower. They didn’t tell me there was no hot water. I left defeated. Got home, wrote to the app. They are refunding my credit card for the first failed booking, but it will take 5-7 days. Be warned! 0 for 3 tries. I’m deleting the app as soon as I get my refund.

H*LL NO Hotel Tonight warning. Buyer beware is an understatement. Scam and fraud are the words to describe this app, it’s advertising, CSR and management depts. They post “whatever the property they advertise give them” they offer no credit or refund for False or fake info on their app! They point the finger at property and say it’s the property’s fault and only the property issues credits and refunds! Be sure to do your homework and call the property before paying this app any money because you won’t get it back even when they are clearly wrong (I can prove it, even though after my booking they went in and changed “updated” the wording on the property” I have pictures of how things were worded “restaurant on site open daily” “happy hour daily” not the case at all!!! We want to warn people to stay away from this app!!! They also have a $25 credit for referring a friend, that’s how it reads, no small or fine print with the “policy” friends are unable to use the credit and since my nightmare aren’t ever going to use this app. Just do your homework, the negatives here far outway any positive post given. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are posting their own positive reviews. That’s how incredibly shady this company is- Scammers, lack of customer service, false advertising!!!

Extremely bad customer service!. I have been a user of this app since 2015 and I am never giving another penny to this company ever again! Long story short I had to book four rooms in a last minute situation for family and friends. When we arrived at the hotel they had us pay separately for the rooms, in this attempt I was charged through the app and the hotel. The ending balance from the hotel and the app was $1460 for one night when I was quoted $108. I immediately contacted the hotel and hotel tonight, I was put through to six different people from hotel tonight’s customer service via email which none of them could form proper sentences or fix my problem, after responding to one person I was immediately transferred to another and had to explain my issue six different times! In the end hotel tonight didn’t do a single thing to fix my problem, they told me to go handle it with the hotel myself! I had to go to the hotel in my last day of vacation and get everyone’s money refunded back and hotel tonight still kept the money they charged me because once you confirm your reservation you approve that charge. Don’t give a penny to this app, if anything use Travelocity, Expedia, or show the actual hotel the rate of this dumb app and skip the middle man. The hotel should honor the price and you won’t have to give this app any of your money.

Horrible Experience. I flew to Atlanta on June 23rd, 2018. I booked an hotel through this app. When I arrived at my destination. The guy at the counter asked me for my name. I gave him my information. He confirmed that I had a reservation, but they were overbooked. I was furious. I asked the gentleman at the desk, what would he suggest that I do since it was late and I was allowed to book the hotel. He said, “ I can just cancel your reservation, and you could reach out to the hotel tonight and get reimbursed.” He suggested that I go to another hotel that was 5 minutes away. I asked him for his information and a cancellation number, so I can have proof that he cancelled the reservation. He gave me the number. I left and booked another hotel that night on my American Express which I have on my statement if they needed proof. I called hoteltonight in the morning and the guy put me on hold for 30 minutes then told me his shift was going to be over soon and someone else was going to takeover and called me back. They never called me back. My bank disputed the charged and put the money back on my card. 3 months later I see the charged again. My book told me I lost the dispute. I will never used this app again.

Terrible experience with my hotel and hoteltonight didn’t help AT ALL. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I booked 3 nights but I wasn't able to use them because of COVID. I attempted to contact them on social media, email, and phone multiple times months and weeks in advanced to try and move my dates but NO ANSWER. They finally responded days after my scheduled nights on SOCIAL MEDIA and told me it was too late and that I would only have 2 nights of credit. I then spent over 2 months trying arguing with Eduardo Larrinaga Jean the manager and Alberto with no justification on their end. I also tried to book the two nights that I was stuck with but there was no availability for the entire two months, unless they wanted me to pay extra. TERRIBLE customer service and a waste of my valuable time. If their team handled proper basic communication I wouldn't have lost a night. I am a business owner myself and I understand the importance of putting customers first and fixing a customers problem even if it costs them a night in the near term. But instead their team has made this simple fix extremely difficult to save one night of profit. I hope no customer is ever treated this way under any circumstance

Bait and switch tactics. DO NOT use this service to book a room. Traveling to Memphis with my family, we used Hotel Tonight to book a hotel room while on the road to our destination. Booked a room for a decent (but not great) price. An hour later, and less than two hours from arrival, Hotel Tonight contacted us to say the hotel didn’t actually have a room available. No other hotels were within our price range on Hotel Tonight, so we booked a room through another service. Figured we would get a refund since it was not our fault…wrong! Hotel Tonight will not refund your money. Instead we were given “credit” towards future bookings. So to be clear, Hotel Tonight offered us a room, we gave them money, they didn’t actually have the room available, and Hotel Tonight decided to keep our money instead of returning it. If that’s not theft (or at the very least a bait-and-switch tactic), I don’t know what is. They tried to offer additional coupons which had to be used within a certain time frame (not good for people like us who don’t often travel), but why on earth would I trust a service that has already failed to provide what they promise, which is good deals on last-minute bookings? And the “deals” aren’t even that great. Use at your own risk.

Beware of crazy hidden fees!!. Honestly I was a big fan of Hotel Tonight. The ability to quickly shop by price and location and book all in one place was great. Tonight I get to the hotel after booking and they ask for a credit card to tack on an additional 20% fee to the price I already paid HotelTonight. I was surprised and contact HT support who told me yes, this was an”resort” fee and hotels can add on WHATEVER extra fees they want. She mentioned that these fees appear at the very bottom of the page under “need to know”. First off, this was a plain hotel, not a resort. Second off, if hotels can tack on whatever fees they want, this ruins HT because you can’t freaking price compare. Why HT wouldn’t make it plain as day what the TOTAL to stay at the hotel is, idk. Other than because they have become a shady company that just wants to show low prices. Terrible policy. Support offered nothing in terms of a discount or anything for this. Big time let down.

Great service. I had a VERY good experience with the staff. I was excited to book my stay but did not notice the date I was booking it. And when you confirm your reservation it’ll ask if this info is correct, if so no changes will be allowed. I foolishly booked for the day before we were going to be in Vegas. When I got my confirmation in my email, I called the hotel to see if I could change my reservation but since I used HOTEL TONIGHT app that I’d have to call them to see if they’d be able to change the reservation for me. Im not gonna lie was sweating bullets because if they couldn’t change it for me I’d be upset. But I email and called, someone helped me named Jennifer and was totally AWESOME, she told me up front there were no guarantees but she would see what she could do for me. Called me back maybe 10 minutes later to let me know everything was handled and the CORRECT reservation were made. We had a good laugh for being overly excited about my trip.

Save your time and money go directly to the source. I work in the travel industry and always recommend people go directly to the source for air travel. The few dollars that may save will quickly be nullified as soon as there is a problem. The same holds true for hotels. Save the time and the money, just download Hilton, Bonvoy and IHG between those 3 I can always find a clean, safe, competitively priced hotel. If hotel rates are high at a given time, they are just high. The one time I used this app thinking I was getting a deal it ended up being an expensive reminder why I don’t use apps like this. After two hours sitting in a hotel lobby that I didn’t have a reservation in, even though I was charged for it, I ended up booking a room on the Hilton app and being in a room in less than 30 min. Hotel tonight support delayed that process by 2 hours, offered me a $25 dollar voucher (I spent $50 on Ubers for that snafu) that can’t be used for all hotels and expires in 90 days. All they did was disrupt my travel and delay me resolving my own problem. Thanks for nothing.

Crooked, Immoral Company — Avoid At All Costs. I booked a room with a hotel that refused to let me check in upon arrival (no evidence of my reservation, even though I was charged by hotel tonight). I tried for 5 days to rectify the situation via hotel tonight’s customer service, but they refused to refund the charge (FYI it was ~$100 — a drop in the bucket for them), and I finally had to refute the charge via my credit card company. All of a sudden, the ABSOLUTE CROOKS at hotel tonight suddenly became 10x as engaged as they’d been throughout the initial process, using lawyers to send a long document to my credit card company outlining how all sales were final based on their terms that I (regrettably) agreed to without reading the fine print. Obviously this was incredibly immoral on their part, and I probably could have had it overturned in court, but I have neither the time nor resources to fight such a large organization — regardless of how clearly crooked they were for charging me for a stay that I couldn’t complete due to an error on their part. In short, DO NOT use hotel tonight unless you are willing to take the risk of showing up to your pre-booked hotel and not being able to check in, and then being charged for it anyway. I have never in my entire life had a worse customer service experience or despised a company more.

Horrible customer service and a scam.. So there was a booking for one night May 27th-28th I went to check in and some how the booking was switched to June 27th-28th, which is useless to me because I don’t need it in a month I need it now. So I called them to have the booking switched to the correct day, the agent told me she had to ask the manager and wouldn’t you know it! The manger was out of town…because this company has ONLY one apparently…so she tell me she can’t change the booking because it has to be changed by the actual hotel. So I called them and they said it can only be canceled by Hotels tonight because they have the money and haven’t even booked the room yet…so I call customer service for HT…again and she tells me she spoke to the manger and he said since they can’t give me MY MONEY for a room I’m NOT GONNA USE FOR THE WRONG DATE! I’d have to book ANOTHER ROOM WITH MORE OF MY MONEY for a book that was switched on their end? So since I needed a room because I was traveling for work that night, I booked with them again! Because that was “the only way they would process my refund”… I call today and they have me on hold multiple times and after hours they send me a message saying they would give me a $40 credit for my next booking….from a $220 mistake they made….I legit hope nothing but the worst for this company ✌🏽

Not always fair. This company is hit or miss. I have actually walked away from a hotel and was refused my money back because there are no refunds no exceptions. the hotel looked like it was on the middle of death row and was under major construction with tarps and tents covering it. I was traveling alone (female) and felt so unsafe. The pictures posted on this site are often misleading. The areas which the hotels are located are not well explained for those not familiar with the area. I understand this app is for last minute stays, but I’m not desperate, I’m just searching for a fair rate. On the other hand I have had about 3 stays that were very nice, however those places are no longer offered through the app. I’ve used this site about 20 times and I would say have had 3 good stays out of 20. If you just need a bed I guess this is the app to use. If your looking for R&R, with some nice amenities, don’t book through this app. The savings aren’t all that great to begin with. Spend the additional money and plan a little better for a quality night away from home.

Great customer service..and great app...but. not ALWAYS the lowest price available. Other than that, I had a problem with my trip, bc I wasn't going to be able to stay for the length of time that I booked. I sent an email to the customer service, not really expecting anything useful to happen bc emails to customer service these days normally just gets a BS reply in a couple weeks if you're lucky. I got a response within 5 mins. I assumed it was an auto response, but it was a real person addressing my problem. They got onto the issue immediately. I was credited points into my account to use in the future with no questions asked. I just used some of those points last night to add a night to an existing reservation. I wasn't paying attention and accidentally booked the additional night as a new reservation for the same day. When I noticed, I emailed again, still not expecting a quick enough response to help my current problem. Wrong again. Nearly immediate response from a real person. Booked another night for the CORRECT day this time 😅 and was credited for the accidental booking before the end of the day. So, despite the rare occasion that they are not ALWAYS the absolute lowest price, usually are though, the service is worth it. Otherwise, I would've spent $1200 on 3 nights that I couldn't attend, and $200 on an accident for not paying attention. So, if there are a few times that HT is $15-$20 more, it was worth the $1400 they saved me.

Fraudulent Business Model - Bad Faith Policies. I used Hotel Tonight to book a hotel room 6+ weeks ahead of a planned trip. Due to a family emergency I needed to cancel the trip two and a half weeks ahead of the scheduled stay. I called the hotel directly and they were very understanding and said that they could cancel the reservation with no penalty without issue, they just needed a call from Hotel Tonight because they booked the room on my behalf. After some back and forth I convinced Hotel Tonight to call the hotel and request a cancellation which they did (the hotel of course obliged without issue) but Hotel Tonight has refused to refund my money, instead holding it for “up to one year in the form of a Hotel Tonight credit”. Their proposed solution is unacceptable and I will be following up further but buyer beware. They are adequate for last minute bookings but for anything that is further out than 24 hours, I would highly recommend a company with more common-sense customer service policies such as Expedia, Travelocity, or Orbitz. It’s a shame, they’ve lost a 2+ year customer based on shortsighted and unnecessarily restrictive policies.

Terrible Customer Service. These guys have some of the worst customer service I’ve experience in the hotel industry. The app will falsely advertise hotels which are nowhere near your search area or location (in my case, the airport) and then if you end up booking it under this false pretense, they will keep you money with their ridiculous non refundable policy. They actually had the nerve to tell me they list the hotel address, as if they expect you to leave the app and do a map search to verify proximity of the hotel to the location you desire. Customer service will also state they are looking into your open case and say they will call you back within a certain amount of time in order to get you off the phone, but then you never hear back from them. Their inventory also appears to be the worst rooms available at any given hotel with no option to choose room type; they’ll give you something such as handicap rooms, near elevators, etc. Would not recommend this app even if you are desperate, much better options out there.

DO NOT USE HOTELS TONIGHT!!!. I had a TERRIBLE experience with this app. I never booked with this app before & was browsing for hotels on it. I thought I was just viewing potential deals, but then I received "confirmations" on the search page that I either did not book or accidentally booked (perhaps by not knowing how quickly and automatically the app would load my information from what source I do not know and book without actually confirming the deal). I had never booked a hotel with them before. I called them about 2 minutes later to explain I don't know how the app got my business card information and that I did not mean to book the hotel on a night I wouldn't even be in town for. Plus, I would have used my personal card for that, not a company card. I thought I was just searching around. They refused to issue me a refund even though I called them IMMEDIATELY about the mistake. I'm disputing the charge with my credit card company. This should be considered theft/fraud. I will NEVER use this app again! I deleted it immediately. Stick with Expedia where the customer service reps will make it right.

Great service and app… BUT…. I’ve never written a review for an app before but I felt inclined to do so now because of the incredible service I’ve been receiving lately. Really impressed by how they do everything they can to take care of their users. That being said, it’s still your responsibility as a user to do your due diligence and check the reviews of these hotels on other websites (Yelp and Google for example). I’ve gotten some pretty terrible hotels and learned that the hard way. Don’t necessarily trust the app ratings of hotels and definitely don’t get too excited over the description of some of these hotels. Hotel Tonight is a 3rd party service and they of course want to paint their hotels in the best possible light. Overall, this is a great app with really helpful customer support and you get some solid deals (especially as your user level goes up). Try it out!

Worst Customer Service. Attempting to cancel my reservation due to Covid shut downs was an absolute nightmare. The hotel I was reserved for is completely shut down until long past my upcoming reservation. After days of sending emails to this company I finally contact the hotel my reservation was for. They couldn’t refund my reservation directly since it was a third party app and stated several other customers had called because they couldn’t get ahold of Hotel Tonight. The hotel gave me a 1800 number that I couldn’t find on any other site. I called and they refused to speak with me because the account is under my husbands name (however, reservation and credit card are under mine). My husband finally got ahold of them and they offered a PARTIAL credit. A PARTIAL credit for a hotel that cannot honor my reservation because it’s CLOSED. Are you kidding me? He had to argue with them for a long time for them to finally cancel and refund. If this company is not willing to work with its customers during this time, I will not be using their app anymore. Thanks for making this already stressful time more of a hassle.

Awesome app. Discovered this cool app last year in the U.S. which scored me some great deals. Even better to see they have now expanded into Australia!

Lovely customer service. When I called because I was having issues making a booking, James was really helpful and patient.

Great last min deals. Love this app, great for the lazy traveler like me who enjoys a touch of luxury at the last minute

Nice looking app. Ok deals. Pretty nice looking pictures. Navigation in the app is clunky forcing you to sign up. Selected deals are ok. Map is great. Good for mid to premium travellers looking to discover new hotels.

Beautiful.. But!. The grounds the hotel is situated on is beautiful . Amazing views and peaceful. However when we arrived our room was dirty and we needed to call and have housekeeping attend to the room. Other than that it was very enjoyable.

User-friendly, easy to use!. It's such a pleasant experience booking accommodation through this app, everything is at your own fingertips!

Fantastic hotel booking app!. Very easy to use and great discounts for last minute bookings.

A good idea in the making. The appearance of the app is fresh and easy to use, but..... You can't book more than 7 days in advance. No filter for style or level of accommodation. No map view to choose a hotel in a convenient location. It may be that the app is aimed at those booking at the last minute.

Lifesaver 👍👍👍. Totally awesome app! It's a handy little life saver and now that's it's available at home as well as internationally it's proven to be even more useful! Thank you !

Great app. Really easy to book, cool hotels. Hint - use location services in the app to get a better discount. Worked for me.

Great app. Let’s you travel well

So simple to use. Easy to use, great information and prices around the same as other sites. Have used in France, USA and UK with great results.

Super friendly customer service. I’ve been super happy booking with this website. I made a mistake when booking, and it totally freaked me out! i went into panic mode but the customer service team were so lovely and helped me amend my mistake. Would recommend :)

WOW!. I am loving Hotel Tonight. I saw the Sydney Pop Up last week, downloaded the app and used it this week for a city date night. Easy as! So simple with amazing deals.

Easy booking. Very straightforward and excellent prices on a wide range of hotels.

Not competitive and no consumer protection. Don’t waste your time or money with this app. If you have to cancel even over 72 hours early, you have no consumer protection that would apply from booking directly or by using other booking websites who offer better rates.

Useless. Gets your location wrong. Isn’t easy to use. Can’t find currency options. Not enough choice. Very frustrating.

Awesome value, looks great & easy to use. The hardest part of this app is downloading it from the App Store. Looks beautiful - showcases the properties perfectly, no details left out and is ridiculously easy to use. Best part? The rates really are distress sale rates. Want a great room tonight or tomorrow? Try this!!

Still in development stages. I cannot see what this App does that existing products don't already do a better job of. The list of available hotels is significantly limited and prices are identical to those listed elsewhere. For now, I'd save your time.

Cheaper booking directly to hotel. This app allows you to see hotels near you and gauge general costs comparing them to each other. Other than that it's really just a middle man that rips you off. Your better off just contacting the hotel and booking yourself. I tried to book through the app and an error occurred. Customer service said they fixed it. It didn't work. I then went onto the hotel website directly and booked it through there. It was easier and cheaper. I upgraded my room and still came out better off. Use this app just to gauge hotels and that's it. Don't use it to book hotels.

Slick App puts many others to shame. Great app simplifying a process that many websites claim to provide. Smooth and friendly app. Love it

Fantastic. Great for last minute and on the go the choices of hotels have been

Thoughtful. Admittedly an unusual description for an app but it really does take into account my likes. I'd also say that the local H Tonight staff are very knowledgeable and always looking to improve the ratings based on feedback.

Easy to use. Found ourselves stranded after a Virgin America delayed flight. Found this app very easy to use. Beautifully presented, great UX. Wish I had known about the app prior to booking all of my accommodation for this trip

Wow. Found me a better deal then all of the other sites, trivago etc, pretty cool

Unusable. Until they state whether the currency is USD, AUD or something else this app is unusable.

Good stuff. Great customer experience and so useful. You travel a lot? Get it on your phone!

"Still summer....for some of our users". Typically American run app, runs a campaign of "it's still summer", yet ignores the recent ambassador/pr launch on the other side of the world where we're coming out of winter. Either geotarget your messages, or be a little more creative and find something that suits all your markets, not alienating half just to appease the rest. Great app, clearly shortsighted management/marketing though

Completely misleading currency. Terrible app if your not a us citizen. Completely misleads you into thinking your booking in your local currency. And your not your booking in usd

Fantastic. Great app, easy to use and very cleverly done would highly recommend to anyone booking a hotel 😊

I actually want to write a review for this. Great app. The booking process is simple and the deals are great. No problem with the app>hotel process. The hotel info is also displayed in the app which is very helpful + integration of map feature to see where it is. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to friends and other people looking for accomodation.

Simple fast great value. So simple to use and credible deals. Most affordable after checking all other sites on the web. The app is so easy to use, hotel booked in 30 seconds or less

Love it!. So happy this finally launched in Australia! So easy to use and perfect for last minute hotel bookings.

Love it. Functionality is excellent - super easy to use. Got a much better rate than my work travel agent could get. Will use again.

Brilliant Little App. Used this app on a whim when travelling around Europe with the boyfriend and couldn't recommend it more highly, looking forward to HT launching in Sydney!

It's all at your fingers. Handy tool. We have mainly used it as a research tool but also recently used it to book a hotel. Best rates are normally late the day before or on the day of your hotel stay. So,basically, it does what it says on the tin. User friendly customer interface. It has become one of our go-to apps when travelling.

Really easy to use. Fast app, easy to use and easy to book. Win win!

Good app till you have a problematic hotel experience. I’ve used this app on occasion for years, with pretty good results. Then I had a hotel with an awful experience. They had left the windows open in 40 degree weather in a large multi-room suite, so it was quite cold and uncomfortable. The floorboard heat wasn’t putting out hardly anything, so I called the front desk. Their solution was to bring me a toaster sized “space heater”. They didn’t offer me a different room, so I asked to cancel my reservation. Not only did I wind up having to pay for the room even though I immediately checked out and stayed at another hotel, but they lied to HT that they had offered me a different room. HT solution was to offer me a $50 discount on my next booking. So be weary of bad hotel experiences, you prob won’t have much luck being compensated. Too many alternatives for finding hotels for me to bother with this app again.

Easy to use and great deals. Easy to use and book last minute deals from a great variety of quality hotels. The uber of hotels!

Only publishes the best reviews of hotels. I had a bad stay at a hotel recommended by Hotel Tonight. When I submitted a review of that hotel it wasn’t published, but someone else’s good review was published the same day. Beware the hidden costs in this app. The published price doesn’t include taxes and ‘resort fees’ which increase the total price significantly.

Awesome. I used hotel tonight to book a surprise romantic getaway for my partner and I. I could not have been happier with its ease of use and the choices available. He was so happy and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

What city search bar?. Excellent app and A+ aesthetics. I was excited to see a search function in the most recent update but I can't see it in the app!

Awesome app!. Easy to use, very informative and only has the highest quality hotels to choose from. Definitely my go to app when I'm making a last minute booking!

Hotels tonight is great…. Hotels tonight is great… but the booking is based on rooms and gets tricky when you want another person.

Great last minute option. Truly a last minute app, not like the others that you can book 12 months in advance. I chose a terrible weekend in Melbourne and prices found were very reasonable. Give it a go.

Fantastic app and service. Incredibly well-designed app with fantastic service. Great hotels and good rates, very easy to book.

The worst app. HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS APP !!!!!! Never using this again!!!! And would not recommend!!!!!

Awesome hotel booking app!!!. This app is amazing!! Absolutely love the look and feel of it. Great selection of boutique hotels and best of all I scored an epic deal. 👍🏻This will definitely be my go to for hotels from now on!

Finally in Aus!. Handy little app. Used it all through the US. Looking forward to using it here in Aus!

No hidden fees or taxes. Appreciate the speed of the app and that the prices showed taxes and fees - saved us a lot of hassle when we had to change hotels.

Great options. I have been traveling a lot and find at the hotel tonight. App is fantastic.

Très très satisfait merci. Très bien

Last minute only. I had a great experience with this app when booking last minute hotels. Then I used it to book something slightly in advance and it did not go well. Based on my previous positive experience I booked a stay and quickly learned there was better pricing available with other companies and the hotel directly but with HT everything is non refundable and the customer service was not willing to rectify the situation. The app is fine but for LAST MINUTE BOOKINGS ONLY.

Mike - customer service rep. We made a mistake with our booking and had the best experience with Mike. He was quick, understood our issue and was able to help us. Thank you Mike

Best app. We love you guys.

Comblée !. Ça fait 2x que je prend une chambre tard le soir avec les OFFRES SECRÈTES , et je n’ai jamais été déçue !! 🥰 meilleure application pour de belles chambres à un prix abordable 🌈

Best booking site ever!!. 10 stars never had an issue been using their service for many years saving so much money the app is fast safe and accurate what you see is what you pay no surprises!!

Don’t use this app. I booked a hotel in Canada, from Canada, with a Canadian credit card. I agreed to the $480.00 for my stay, when my credit card statement came in it was $680.00. No where did it say usd, I contacted them and they said too bad. I contested my credit card, the app claimed I had charges to my room. I called the hotel and they said there was nothing they could do. Such a scam.

Like an old friend. The app has been my travel sidekick for many years and like an old friend you can count on, it always comes through with a good bed to rest on and hopefully a free coffee maker in the room!

Great app user promo code!. Smooth apps and very helpful. Promo Code is CFORD84

Great deals. Code: SOPARK95 Use this to get $30 off :)

Nope. I saw an advisory about a situation that I was intimately familiar with. This company chose the wrong side effectively because the subsciber is American and the resort is foreign. So much for impartial reporting. How many other reviews are biased or simply wrong? Also my previous comment has been deleted. Is this Apple or TA?

You need to work on a better cancellation policy. Very difficult for business travellers

Not happy.. We had to find a hotel quickly and hotel tonight was the app we chose to use. We found a room quickly but realized that the room we chose had only 1 bed but we needed 2. They were unable to help us and we had to reserve a room directly with the hotel. We were unable to get our money back and got a credit for the app. Now we would like to book a room with 2 beds using our credit but there is no option to choose number of beds. It is not clearly stated that you can not get a refund. Use this app at your own risk. Now I have a credit I will likely never use.

The Best Of the Best!. You can’t loose quick easy and saves saves saves!

Nice app. The interface is clean, app never bugged or crashed when I used it and I was able to find hotels that were very close to my location

This is a great app. Simple to use and in today’s busy world simple is good.

Good but.... Great app but filtering options are lacking. Example: pets allowed

Soho Point Central, Palermo CABA. Great little secluded hotel in the heart of all that is happening in Palermo. The staff Juan & Vani are so accommodating making sure the stay was super comfortable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic customer service. Haven’t used the service in a while and just discovered I still had a credit from a previous time. Always has great deals and has never failed us!

Great App for all and especially airline employees.. If you need to book a last minute deal or even a hotel a few weeks out this app is simple to use and very straightforward. With a few clicks your all set. Pay with a credit card on the app and check in at the hotel your staying at. No issues for us! The only thing is no refunds so make sure your going.

Fantastic & User Friendly App!!. The is a great app thats easy to use and gives a great selection for those last minute finds! Its always my go to. Do yourself a favour & give it a go. 😊❤️

7437665 Paul - scammed $240. Terrible service. My family and I booked this on this website as a last resort for our road trip because we came to Las Vegas late at night. We needed a place to stay for the night as it was 2am. We tried booking but was told there was extra fees. I used all my money to book the room not knowing there was an additional fee to be paid at the hotel $130 to be exact. I didn’t have that on my card so when I went to cancel, I was told I could. It’s now 3am in Las Vegas and we have no place to go and we were scammed $240. Had I known there were hidden additional fees I WOULD HAVE NOT BOOKED. BE VERY WEARY ON BOOKING ON THIS SITE. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY. Came to Las Vegas on a road trip. Tried go as far as we could and realized we couldn’t book past 12am at most hotels. Decided to book through hoteltonight due to the timely nature. When we came to check in, the front desk the attendant informed us of addition fees. $130 to be exact. We spent the last of our money on our credit card that night to book the room. We were offered no help. Instead they blamed the website. When we called to get a refund - Paul said we couldn’t. Scammers stole $240.

SCAM! Rip off! Covid-who cares..... DO NOT USE THIS AP! These guys posted prices so cheap I booked too quickly out of excitement and realized the I had to pay more than the booking price once I arrived per night. (That I can deal with because I booked too quickly before reading) That being said- my flights are cancelled, I can’t cross the border and I’ve emailed them multiple times and this company DOES NOT CARE about you! They aren’t even offering vouchers. So they’ve taken almost 200 plus of my money and are doing nothing to get in touch with me or anything to deal with any of its customers that have booked during these times! Take into consideration I’m also Canadian so this translates to 1.40 x 200 because of the wonderful exchange rate. Thanks for ruining my birthday even more than this virus did!

Great app. Great app.

Best app ever. Love it

notifications feature doesn’t work. on iphone 13 pro max with latest app version pressing the bell does nothing.

App. This app is easy to handle, show us immediately the best options, and is very suggestive.

Prices are not cheap. Prices are similar or even more expensive compared to other websites

The reward system is declining. I have been using hotels tonight for about eight years and at first the rewards system was perfect I felt like I was getting rewarded for spending my hard earned money, now I feel like the rewards system is not effective at all which is unfortunate. Because other websites are offering a cheaper rate for the rooms when my tear on this website is pretty high I’m in the 1% of the spenders so I’m not really happy about that.

Great help if you’re a last min person. This great app ‘saved my life’ while on a trip to SF. Great last min prices!

horrible experience. booked my hotel last minute with this app. i am thankful for their deal and capability of booking you somewhere inexpensive and last minute. however the app glitched out when I was trying to book; it said "booking not confirmed due to connection, etc.." . I went outside to make sure i had a good signal while i was trying to "re-book" my hotel as it said it did not go through. when I was outside, finally it said "booking confirmed etc.." later thet evening when i was trying to check in at the hotel, the reception said I had double booking. I told them the app froze I was booking and it was saying something about the connection". the receptionist was accomodating enough and understood the situation and said "okay we will dispute/refund/cancel the other room". Next day, I checked my credit card there was THREE charges on my credit card. one was on the process of being refunded which is great. now I called the hotel and apparantly they only charged me for ONE room as I only used ONE room. i saw no problem with the hotel so first I emailed the contact us info on the app regarding about my concern and one of the response was "I am truly sorry, as I know this wasn't the response you were hoping for..." with that response, it felt like i was lying about the situation. Next day, I decided to call them and I spoke to Jinni but her responses were very scripted nicely and I was honestly just going in circles with her, to a point when a guest concern needs to be heard, she does not dare to listen and keep cutting me off while I was speaking. however, almost same response as the other person further than that it was mentioned that the situation was being "investigated" and i needed to submit a proof or some sort of a screenshot when the "error" on my device have occured. I told her as a human trying to do booking like that, most individual would make sure for their reservation first than looking into errors of the app and If i had known it would cost me so much trouble I would have taken a damn screenshot of those error. to further their investigation, they have asked the hotel these series of questions she mentioned that I do not remember at all now but I asked her "have you asked the hotel how many rooms did the guest use?" --just an upfront question if I am lying or not, if I had used two rooms or not. overall experience with their customer service - scriptive, repetitive, not accomodating at all, they will try to sound nice and caring but ofcourse "these are not the results you are hoping for" deleting the app after this review. questions or their investigations on their part is widely stupid, so smartly stupid that it will only benefit them regardless of the customers frustration but I guess if that is how they will make extra money, okay yeah, go ahead. deleting this app after this review, goodluck with their business. i hope they choke on my extra booking.

Beats Bookingdotcom! Beautiful app. This app seems like its built by someone that comes to work happy everyday. Love the UI and simplicity compared to Booking bombarding me with 1000 psychologically suppressing headlines!

Answer ing a question about my credit. The gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and I was able to apply the credit to my booking this evening.

No real perks here. You can use Expedia they match pricing and Expedia offers perks. My hotel told me that because I booked with hotel tonight I would not be eligible for early/late check in, room upgrade or anything. Basically treated like second class citizen.

It just works!!. Super great implementation and gives a appropriate amount of choice with out being swamped like trip advisor. Once you use if for some stays the discounts are real. I am not nuts about finding the best deal and I want interesting places. They seem to hit it every time A great app

Terrible and untrustworthy. I booked a last minute room and when I arrived I was told that hotel tonight sold me something that didn’t exist. There was no available rooms and it was a huge hassle and wait getting my money back. It also put me in a bad spot trying to find a room

Great website for last minute bookings. This website has proven many times to be way cheaper than all the other booking websites. Not just by a few dollars either, sometimes two hundred dollars cheaper. I don’t know how they do it but keep it up.

What happened?. Unable to sign in with the link. It doesn’t open the app and only logs in on safari. Perhaps it’s a sign because the price is never what’s displayed. You get extra fees right before checkout. Just lost a level 4 user. BYE! Edit: still unable to sign in. Link sends me to the website rather than signing me in through the app.

What happened ?. They took prepay from me, but didn't pay the hotel. I emailed, and they ignored. And now the hotel tells me they could have given me better pricing directly ??? Terrible.

Great Service. I used HT and had a great experience. I accidentally booked the wrong night and they were able to assist with switching to the correct night despite the “non-refundable” booking. The prices didn’t seem crazy low, but they were on par with other apps/sites and I prefer their app.

Destination Fee - added 25% cost. Recent booking at Westin San Diego - Hotel Tonight did not indicate that the hotel would charge a “Destination Fee” It added close to 25% to the cost of the booking.

Hidden Fees !!! Read ALL fine-print!!!. Watch out when booking, they state “balance $0 on arrival” but some hotels still charge fees on arrival! Read ALL fine-print very carefully. Customer service was not helpful at all and they do not offer any explanation as to why the “resort fees” where not stated during the booking process.

Perfect for our family.. This is how we travel...spontaneous ... and this site makes it easy!

False Advertising. All the best deals in this app quickly appear as “room unavailable” if you try to book them - until you’re left booking the more expensive rooms.

False advertising. I booked a hotel room with two beds but was given one bed. This app doesn’t offer easy communication to talk about the booking and find a resolution. I won’t be using this app again.

Better than the rest!. Expedia messed up several nights for me even slept in my car recently from them!

The choice. What I want, when I want, and where I want….

Canceled reservation 4 hours before check in. Awful. They don’t have the rooms they claim to.

Great!. Fast and easy with great recos/ options

Awful don’t use them. I tried to book a hotel room in a specific city on the edge of a large National Park. The second hotel they showed me had the name of the park in its name and I ended up booking there. Turns out it was in a city 180 miles away from where I search on the other side of the park. Normally a 2 hour drive but with road closures it was a three hour drive from the city I was in, and the wrong direction from where I was traveling. I realized this after mapping the address and called to cancel within 5 minutes of booking. After getting a long run around from 3 different support staff they all refused to refund the money. Thankfully I had booked with PayPal and was able to get a refund after a couple weeks. These guys don’t care about their customer and are just trying to squeeze a buck from you. I would avoid this app and just book with one of the reputable travel apps.

Hoteltonight. This is my primary go to app but I always check the hotels website for a price comparison. Sometimes the price is the same so I book through the hotel because you’re more likely to get a free upgrade. I wish more customer ratings would be provided. Only sharing 3 is not helpful so I look at trip advisor for more pictures and their customer reviews. I also noticed that prices are different on my different devices at the same time. Today I tried to book a hotel suite with my room on the app but said it couldn’t log me in. By the time I got back on the deal was gone. Very frustrating. Sometimes though you get lucky and score a good deal.

Great for Spontaneous Weekends AND Getting Stranded by Flight Cancellations. I love being able to find a cheap flight and book an affordable (and NICE) hotel last minute. Sometimes you just need to get out of town. We will pick a destination on a whim and figure out where we are staying day of - but be sure to check no music festivals or sporting events are going on when you do this. Sometimes you get a weather delay/cancellation and the hotel you’re in can’t accommodate you. Or even worse, charges way more than you are comfortable paying. I got stuck in Chicago for two days due to weather and got a much nice room at a different hotel on the Magnificent Mile for $75 each night. Can’t beat it

No place to stay after 10 hr drive. I honestly am unsure how the rating for this app is 4.9. Awful experience. I booked with HT, they took money out of my account and had my booking on my HT account. After driving 10 hours to Orlando, I am told by the hotel that they notified HT two days after I booked that they were already booked and no longer had rooms available. HT never passed this information along and still took my money. After searching for the contact number for HT I finally spoke to someone that tried to play it off as the hotels error and just wanted to give me credit to use on the HT app. HT then called the hotel, still tried to blame the hotel (I was with the receptionist while he was on the phone with HT) and gave the hotel a hard time. After about an hour HT called me to let me know they would issue my refund. I was 10 hours from home with no where to go. HT left me in a terrible situation. Do not recommend, Our hotel said they have this issue with them very often.

Luna. I had an horrific experience with this site and I don’t even know how or where to begin... that was until I spoke with one of the senior officials named Luna whom was a tremendous asset! He not only helped receive the necessary compensation for the debacle the had taken place the previous night, he helped me find a room close to where I needed to be the following day and saw it all the way through until the end of the check-in to insure that I was well taken care of and well on my way to my new job and did so with courteousness, professionalism and helpfulness unprecedented. I am grateful for Mr. Luna and all the help I received at Hotels Tonight. I suggest and request this site to anyone and everyone looking for a great deal and an easy booking - 5 STARS AND 2 thumbs up 👍👍

Hotels Tonight pricing transparency. I’ve used the app for years and love the option to book last minute ; but the vendor has a major flaw which allows their clients the hotels to add cost after the booking on the app.. Found what I felt was awesome deal for a hotel on the beach in South Florida room was presented at $239 nightly for 3 mid nights with fee to park the car of $38 nightly then a one time cleaning fee of $150. All highlighted kinda in the booking details not the base price. At check in the hotel add a 14% admin fee across the total cost. Which took the nightly cost up to nearly $360 nightly plus 7% for taxes and another $40 dollars for booking through a 3rd party. So the nightly total true cost was closer to double of the advertised price. If the app provide a total cost purchase I would have not booked with Hotels Tonight… If you allow your clients to eat your clients you eventually will not have clients. Total cost transparency is not an option but a requirement if your marketing is based finding value.

Bad Company/Bad Business/Bad Service. Made a reservation, got a confirmation, the hotel did not have my confirmation, called hotel tonight, and basically acted as a parrot for 30 minutes doing “he said she said” - finally they called the hotel to talk to the rep directly and it was the most uncomfortable and awkward conversation to witness. The hotel CSR was very polite to us but was able to help due to Hotel Tonight not making the booking correctly. Then, hotel tonight called me and told me that I needed to pay for the different and they could “see what they could do” regarding the difference. At the end of the day, all they could do was offer me a refund that’s going to take 5-7 days to go back into my account OR have me pay the full price of the hotel so they could pay me back the difference after it went through their internal review team. I do not recommend this app. I will be deleting it immediately and never using it again.

Consistently comes in handy. I’ve used Hotel Tonight at least once or twice a year for several years now. Along with Airbnb, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Company Discounted Rates, recommendations, etc, Hotel Tonight is among the travel tools I consistently reference — particularly when I have been in more immediate/urgent need. Hotel Tonight has consistently been steadfast at helping me find overnight accommodations at a price I feel okay with. The sense of security I’ve felt knowing that Hotel Tonight will have options is so comforting too. I’ve used Hotel Tonight on cross-country road trips, last minute trips to Canada, leisurely travel, and more. As a handy tool in your travel tool belt, I cannot recommend this app enough. Bravo!

great hotel / with a great staff. When we checked in, we were given a room with two queen beds. But we wanted a king. We called down a spoke with nice lady at the front desk. She said she would call me back if they had a room with a single bed available. Next thing you know someone in knocking on our door. It was security with the keys to our new room. I was not expecting that. Plus we discovered about thirty minutes later that we left our house keys in the old room. Spoke to the same lady at the front desk. She said they will get my keys and return them to my room. They did. Then in the morning we were accidentally woken up by hotel staff. I called once again a spoke with a manager about how we were woken up by the staff. She was already aware of my situation and was very apologetic and made things right for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Great place and great staff.

Performs as Advertised. I’m not a serial reviewer. But I am so pleased w/this app it deserves the moment. I have nailed some amazing deals, including staying in Tribeca in Manhattan for under $100 a night, midtown Manhattan for $115 & Austin TX $75. Sometimes it’s as much as 40/50% off sometimes 20% off. Oftentimes (not always) I find better deals on here than staying at an AirBnB last minute. I have even booked a week in advance. You do not have to book same day or the day before. The rates and deals change constantly so it’s worth pulling up the app multiple times. An extra plus is their phone customer service is first rate. You may be on hold for a long time, but the service reps are truly knowledgeable and helpful and go the extra mile for you. On two occasions they called my hotels to straighten out a problem.

An absolute nightmare!. Booked a room through the app for what seemed like a great rate for the hotel we were staying at. Was charged immediately after booking, but received no confirmation number.. called their customer service and they couldn’t give me one, they kept giving me their reservation number which doesn’t work on the hotel’s system. I felt pretty uneasy about the whole ordeal so I called the hotel directly and tried to confirm my stay with the name, they had no reservation for us. I called HT back and was told that they had faxed my booking info to the hotel “about 10 times already” but if I had trouble when we showed up to call them and I would receive a credit on the acct but no refund because it’s against their policy... are you kidding me?! Why couldn’t they just confirm my stay now? Why wait til we were left stranded to “take care of us” by giving us credit. Just an awful experience all the way around.

No Refund for services not provided?. Use to love this app and used it fairly often until my last reservation I made with them the hotel said they had no such deals with them... call HotelTonight and they say they’ll take care of it within an hour... they call hotel and hotel says they’ll have to wait for a manager to confirm reservation and that said manager wouldn’t be there for 3 days... cool easy fix would have been to cancel reservation and let me book another hotel room... Nope HotelTonight says no refunds and that it’s clearly stated in guides (which it is) but they took my money and I had no room...ended up using Travelocity. Fought with HotelTonight for a week and they finally offered a “credit” on their own site. Told them I wouldn’t be using them again and they said ok but the credit will just stay on my account... called Citibank the card I used to make a charge and dispute... within 2 hours of Citi contacting them the credit magically falls off my HotelTonight account and I have my money back... thanks Citi... never again HotelTonight

Great but no refund is a big miss. The app is great. 8/10 they provide pretty good reliable hotels for you to choose from. I also love that they offer you more discounts the more hotels/motels you book. One major problem: no discounts whatsoever. Their excuse, “we want to make our hotels happy.” So what are we? Chop liver? So if you end up in a nasty hotel that you are not pleased with as soon as you walk in: no refund. You book a hotel last minute in your car because you’re exhausted from such a long drive. You didn’t notice how far the hotel is: 50 miles when there’s one 8 miles away. No refund. Third parties biggest problem is they almost always make refund and cancellations near impossible. It’s a scam and they’re petty dirty business.

Philadelphia Renaissance. We stayed here 2 times within a week and it was not the greatest experience. The first night the cooling system was completely off , and the room was soooo hot , smoke billowing from the room beside us that I had to call about . The next week , we returned from a trip to the Caribbean, didn’t get into the room until 3 am and the floor was soaked and ceiling was dripping water ... not what I expected from Hotels tonight .. but Hotels tonight use to be what it is named for ... Hotels tonight .. one night .. now it is a free for all In rooms ... getting ready to switch to something else ... so disappointed.. 2 weeks ago we stayed at a hotel in Hershey and there was dog hair all through the bed ... apparently you lost the quality of what we thought Hotels tonight was all about ...

Amazing support. Perhaps my favorite travel app. The first booking is easy, second and subsequent are nearly frictionless. Rewarding loyalty scheme. My go to for one night stays. What’s more, amazing support. Only twice in my 151 nights booked and 10 year’s use of HotelTonight have do I recall having had an issue needing HotelTonight’s support. Once for an issue at the hotel with my booking; once for technical support about a bug in the app. When things so rarely go wrong, they stick out disproportionally; how swiftly, completely, respectfully, and thoughtfully things are set right by HotelTonight’s team -from customer service to app development- delightfully reveals how beautifully HotelTonight has blended hospitality and technology.

Like the app but disappointed with the staff service. I usually travel cross country in the USA, sometimes covering 10 states per trip. I’ve been using HotelTonight for most of my bookings. But as I do with all my online purchases, I use a “virtual” version of my credit card, a feature that my bank provides to avoid online frauds since it works for just one purchase and does not allow anything else. However, it seems that the security team of the app does not comprehend this way of payment and ended blocking my account, thus banning me from using the app. It’s really a shame since I would like to keeping booking my future hotels with it. I’ve tried to explain the whole thing to them but they not accept my options to solve the problem.

Good but not great. I have been using this app for 3.5 years. There are times that the app allows for setting of parameters, such as smoking vs non-smoking, pet friendly, parking $, etc. but most times you cannot set parameters and it is super frustrating at check in. Lately, we used this app on the go traveling across country and supplementing for camping. Each time, there were issues with room being smoking (makes us super sick), the pet fees were incorrect, or even room amount was incorrect. Each time that the issue was brought up, the hotels seemed really upset at the error and refused to be accountable for inaccurate information. This app could be improved just by making sure the information is accurate, especially when traveling with pets and finding room preferences and being able to adjust, even if it narrows the search criteria. I will be looking for a better app to help in the future as this one has become more frustrating than what it’s worth at this point.

Doesn’t ACTUALLY check for ROOM AVAILABILITY. When first using this app I thought it was pretty good to get a hotel room on the fly until I just had this bad experience using the app.... I booked a room and when it came time to check into the hotel the front clerk told me they actually didn’t have any rooms available and that the only thing the app did was send them an email saying I booked and bought a room but it didn’t seem to reserve anything for me at all. The clerk also shown me that the hotel tonight app actually doesn’t check for any availability of rooms at all giving people a false sense that they actually have a room reserved when they don’t! And to make it WORSE the money you pay on the app is non refundable which a dirty way of stealing people’s money if there or any issues to arise. I don’t like that at all and they NEED TO FIX THE APP TO ACTUALLY CHECK THE AVAILABILITY FOR HOTELS AND INCORPORATE A GOOD REFUNDABLE OPTION for instances like this!!! Won’t be booking any hotels no more using this app 💯😡😤🤬

Scam. HotelTonight is a total scam. They canceled my hotel reservation literally less than 24 hours before check-in due to inventory issues. Offered me a much lower quality hotel 11 miles from out prior reservation. But when i checked online at multiple other online travel pages and even on the hotel’s site...they have a room still available, but at three times the rate I paid! Complete scam! I would use extreme caution when booking with HotelTonight. Completely unacceptable business practice for a “guaranteed” non-refundable room. I then contacted them and was given a $30 Voucher even though all hotels in the area were now $100 more. This was a complete bait and switch. While discussing this with a customer service Supervisor, I was then told to go ahead and book a new hotel and I would get a $50 credit. So I went ahead and did that and then they said “oh whoops” the credit had not gone through yet! Too bad. “You can use that on your next purchase.” There will never be another purchase! Such a shady business. I would use strong caution before ever using Hotel Tonight

Kenny. I would not advise anyone to use this app. Ayes it is convenient and they sometimes have better prices with than other apps. But if you have any type of mishaps like a flight delay or any type of unfortunate event occurs they will not accommodate you NONE WHAT SO EVER. This is the second time I had difficulty with this app. I am a business owner and I have spent thousands of dollars thru this app and they have ZERO customer appreciation. They promote perks from building earnings from spend money with this app but NEVER ACCOMMODATE you for doing so. I had another account before when with a different email but with the same information (name, same method of payment credit card # & ect) and they would not update my information to accommodate me For my earning. So I have had 2 different incidents with app where it was basically A LOST CAUSE. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾🤬😡😤

Amazing app saved my life when I was about to sleep in the lobby of a Marriott. Nothing in Washington DC was available on this past Fourth of July I knew that and my plan was to just take a train to New York and stay there but I got drunk and missed my train plus the fireworks were tooooo good to leave lol so I started looking for hotels around DC AND FOUND NOTHING!!!!!! and if I did it was 20 minutes away from the downtown area and for around $250-$300 I got on the app and not only did I find a hotel in the downtown area but it was for half the price of any of the other hotel WOW couldn’t belive it booked immediately!!!! I was saved after this crazy night in dc when there were easily a million people in the city I found a hotel thank god I found you guys app!!!!

Great for Field Engineers and road warriors. User since 2010 Being on the road and never knowing where I may be from 1 day to the next this app is by FAR the best experience you can get. Simply open the app choose your hotel and swipe! That’s it your booked for tonight!! Also the support team is amazing if you ever run into a place in poh dunk nowhere where the late night check in person doesn’t know how to operate the computer. They will fax a copy to them and make sure you get in to your room without a hassle. Also the perks program is pretty ok as well. There sometimes apps that may be a buck or 2 less but to me it’s not worth the hassle. I know I can count on HotelTonight” to get me what I need and get it now. Alan

Best Hotel App Available!. This app is hands down. Without question, without hesitation, without any doubt whatsoever, the absolute best Hotel Booking App on the market! First off the app itself is great, very few glitches ever, easy to use, easy to book, excellent features if booking for yourself or others. The staff is incredible, kind, helpful, fun and truly compassionate and dedicated to making guests stays absolutely perfect. In all the years I’ve been with Hotel Tonight, I’ve been consistently treated with respect, kindness, and great customer service. The hotel selections are outstanding and the pricing is always inexpensive and never unreasonable. These people are terrific and I just can’t say enough good stuff about them. It’s a no brainer if you ask me, Hotel Tonight is the only app I use.

Hotel Tonight, Memories Forever. Just over a year ago, the Hotel Tonight app was recommended to me by a friend. Since then, I’ve used it to book half a dozen hotels. Not once have I been disappointed. The hotels I’ve found through this app are more beautiful than you can imagine. The staff have always been welcoming. The rooms have been spacious and we’ve always had a great view. Recently, we booked a hotel only to discover that it was in the path of a natural disaster. Knowing the hotel stays are non-refundable, I called the help line without much hope for getting my money back. I was pleasantly surprised. The phone operators were all extremely helpful and pleasant. They assisted me quickly and were able to grant me a credit. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to get away for the weekend. My favorite hotel app, no contest.

Worst customer service / unreliable ratings. I’ve now spent $150,00 in hotel rooms through Hotel Tonight since first downloading the app in 2012. Lamentably, the privileges and loyalty points do not accrue, and do not carry over from year to year. What’s more troubling is that the quality and reliability of the actual hotels, locations, services, and descriptions has dramatically declined in the last five years. They can’t be trusted at all. This is true of hotels they list in NY, London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Hamburg, Dubai, Marrakech and a dozen other cities where I’ve tried to use (or previously relied on) HotelTonight. But the most unacceptable company practice is their unwillingness to ever correct a mistake. They make it impossible to reach a live person, mandatory to follow up at least 10 times, and I can think of no instance in which I have ever received money back. These business practices are grossly insensitive, unforgivably idiotic or purely predatory.

Terrible experience. Booked room thru app about an hour out as I was driving. In all fairness, my three previous bookings went as planned however this one did not. Showed up exhausted, presented my booking and they had no record of it. The hotel also said they have been sold out since 5:00 PM. I booked around 8:00 PM. The hotel clerk stated this is quite frequently the experience and that I should always call the hotel directly to check availability and then book thru the HT app. I checked my bank and Hotel Tonight had immediately charged my card for this “phantom” booking. After calling customer service, they made me feel like they were doing me a favor by refunding my money. Also, the money that took them 30 seconds to take will take 5-7 business days to refund. No additional apology or concern that I had to get back in the car exhausted and drive another 30 mins to another hotel. Just a complete joke all around and absolutely no business being in the service business.

Accuracy. There are often “resort fees” added to the cost. So based on the scroll you think it’s $250/night (and we all know about taxes...). But then you go to “total” and think ok... $280. Good deal. But Often In little tiny letters at the bottom lurks the $45 “resort fee” charged by hotel. So actually total cost is $325! The only way to find out if there is a resort fee is to click several screens into each individual hotel, which makes the search far less efficient. Hotels Tonight is a good site and many good deals. They will tell you that the resort fee is the hotel, not them. But from my end, regardless of which entirety is the source for the charge, in the end the consumer ends up paying the higher total. HT is good site but would be nice if a bit more forthcoming that xx hotel ALSO charges resort fee. Eg consumer friendly rather than not initially mentioning fee on behalf of the hotels.

Terrible customer service. I used the daily drop special to book the discounted rate. Then I received a notice to contact customer service. I called and was told to then email customer service. They deactivated my account because I had added a new credit card to use as payment. There was nothing wrong with my card and they apologized after two hours of getting the issue resolved. However they would not honor the original pricing for the hotel and it cost me $48 more for my lodging. I clarified with customer service, if the hotel makes a mistake they will issue a credit, however if they make a mistake they will do nothing to fix it. This was after several emails, two phone calls and speaking with a manager.

😒. Made a reservation two weeks ago but when I called the hotel to check and make sure it was for a two bed room they had no idea who I was. So I went into the app to call customer service but you have to text them and “shockingly” when they called they found it immediately. He also told me they can put in the request for a two bed room for me but after talking to the lady at the hotel he changed his toon saying they can’t make any guarantees and that’s why the rooms are so cheap. Apparently they don’t have any double beds available on the weekend but I can discuss it with the hotel when I get there. I’m personally never using this app again and would cancel if it wasn’t non refundable but if you do book with them just call the hotel and make sure your reservation is actually in before showing up. Also it made me pay using Apple Pay and charged my debit card when I selected my credit card- this might have been human error on my part but figured I’d mention it incase it wasn’t 🤷🏽‍♀️

This company is garbage.. I book a hotel specifically because it says in the description it has Self Park. I do this because I’m traveling with a bunch of cases and it’s important for me to have the car not only secure but accessible. I get to the hotel they literally say “no we don’t have parking there’s a parking lot in the area couple blocks away”. After hours of debating with Hotel Tonight support they say that there’s nothing they can do because the hotel does offer parking. As in there’s just a parking lot in the area so it offers parking? The parking has zero association with the hotel they don’t stamp your ticket, they don’t communicate with them, they don’t offer you a discount. But somehow according to hotel tonight because there’s a parking lot within a few blocks(like there is in every major city) this hotel offers parking. All of the support people were super rude about it. Clearly one of those companies that not going to fix the problem or give you a refund they would prefer to just argue with you about technicalities.

Wish there is a negative star or at least zero star. The Hotel Tonight booking of Hagia Sophia Hotel Istanbul/Old City, paid and confirmed with me has been permanently closed years ago. No information available on their website, on Hotel Tonight site, Hotel Tonight listed phone number is non-working number; Google Map and other searches also provided the same number Hotel Tonight provided that has a recording that “the phone has been non-working”. After receiving HotelTonight confirmation of booking and paid in full, I got into a taxi in heavy rain and with multiple pieces luggage. Driver and I called 6 hotels in the area with similar name to Hotel Tonight booking name and none of them can find my reservation. Eventually, after stopping at 2 other hotels, I walked in the rain with my luggage still in the trunk of the taxi a block away, and find a hotel at the same address named Vogue Hotel Supreme . They could not find my “paid and confirmed reservation” by Hotel Tonight . I am now stuck at hotel lobby with heavy rain outside and multiple wet luggage’s

Sleek design, but poor CRM. These guys seem to be more focused on the hotel partner acquisition side of the business than the customer care side. Getting a resolution to even the most basic questions can be a nightmare, and they have little ability to positively affect your stay other than in the room rates they’ve negotiated. They should stick with that, and maybe stop trying to do more than offer discounted rooms. The HT Pros thing is a gimmick without any teeth, and as a lvl 8 member perk person, I can say that they’ve not delivered on their promised rewards (you get a voucher for money off once you hit each level, but at lvl 8, I’ve never received a thing, and customer service starts off well with lots of promises but no follow up). I used to book a lot more with this app, but now I check the hotels’ AAA rates and the rates at HT Tonight, and just take whatever is cheaper...it’s about 50/50, so make sure to shop around.

Always excellent deal, has top boutique hotels, fast help & sometimes views. Fast, helpful, excellent prices, simple to navigate…. plus when I have needed extra help, and had reached out, the customer support team responded quickly. A great service to travelers that cuts thru chaos and supplies great help and services creating reservations. The rooms might not have best views, but for the absolute best price and much savings on published prices everywhere (like $100/night at the hotels I researched and reserved thru HT), I have stayed in beautiful rooms with best amenities, and I was able to request views in a room once I got to a hotel. If you are price conscious and quality conscious, then HT will hit the sweet spot for hotel reservations. I have used it ahead of my trip, as well as last minute (FROM BAGGAGE CLAIM at La Guardia airport!) when I forgot to get a hotel in nyc m!

So helpful for road trips. I’ve used hotel tonight on three cross-country road trips and it’s honestly made traveling so much easier. I can drive until I start to get tired and book a hotel without having to map everything out ahead of time. The rates are really good and get better the more you use the app (also if you wait till after 10 pm hotels will try to get rid of rooms and bump the rates even lower). Best part is the reviews - I feel safe knowing what to expect in a hotel before I arrive. The only time I haven’t used hotel tonight on these past three four day trips from coast to coast, I ended up staying in a seedy hotel that was more expensive than the nice ones through the app. Definitely recommend!

Susan T.. Love the app. I always check with the hotel to see if they can match the price so fees won’t apply … and sometimes they can. Otherwise, I book through the app and have never ( over the last 6 years of fairly heavy use) had any issues. In fact, when I have had to make changes they have always been super accommodating. Do wish online promo codes were for more than just first time users. I am at a pretty high user level and the discount system is not as good as other sites or apps, but never having bungled service is a big bonus. So is the ability to speak to someone on the phone when necessary for any reason. All in, I am a fan.

Used to be better. I’ve been using HT on and off since it’s early launch - when you could only book for tonight. Adding the ability to book out longer and some other features were nice. I’ve noted when trying to book in some places - like NYC - that some hotels charge a “resort fee” and others do not. HT adds a small disclaimer and also distinguishes from “due now” and “total due”. In essence, this allows hotels to advertise any “low rate” they wish then charge you 20-30% more if you actually book. So, in turn, you have to painstakingly go to check out at each low rate hotel to see if it’s actually a low rate or will be associated with a $25-50 per night additional charge from the advertised rate. HT tonight should incorporate this fee in the estimation when presenting you different rates and/or provide the option to see the “total” for your stay. AirBNB already does this so shouldn’t be that hard to implement.

Misleading consumers. Booked hotel in Butte MT that said Butte underneath it- it was first hotel that popped up. Come to find out it was a hotel 1 hour away from Butte. Talked to supervisor asking for refund and they refused saying the “market areas” are large in Montana. I get that, but for a large city with several hotels IN BUTTE a hotel in Dillon MT should not be listed first and say “Butte” under it!!! Also, there were a lot of subsequent hotels directly in Butte that showed up underneath it. I took screenshot and sent to them. They still refused because the hotel wouldn’t accept. This is Hotel Tonight’s fault- not the hotels. Their app’s algorithm is crap and they should have refunded me the $108 but did not honor it. They told me they say the address on the listing when you go through the checkout process which I understand- but when I see Butte under the first listing I do not expect to need to do my research to make sure it is in Butte- that is YOUR APPS ONE JOB!! and it is totally misleading to the consumer who is tired of travel and needs a bed to sleep in. I will never use Hotel Tonight again and will never recommend.

Awful do not use this app.. I have been a loyal customer through this app and by accident I booked for the wrong date and the same day within minutes of me booking I called to move to correct date and they lied to me and said they called the hotel (which they did not because the hotel manager they would speak with told me they never called). Hotel tonight said the hotel didn’t approve the change. Lie. They refused to give me a credit or simply change the date to a different day. I’m so upset I have lost over $200 for an honest mistake. I will never go through this app again and it’s getting deleted after I push send for this review. Also the “human” you get on the phone for me we’re both liars their English was hard to understand and said they would follow up and no call back. Nice. Real nice.

Excellent just don’t like that there’s no 1-800 number at the ready!. I had to use the live chat to get through to someone and they gave me the same info I already read felt like they were automated. Wanted to talk to a live person about using my $118 credit they said the particular hotel I was trying to book doesn’t let you use the credit and then when I asked to find a hotel in the area that will let me use the credit was told there was no way of finding that out. Also I had a $25 off coupon for signing up but was told that hotel wouldn’t let me use the coupon. So app promises discounts they really have not control of. It said $25 off my FIRST booking. The app should’ve made sure that was applied regardless. So being that my “first” booking wasn’t with a hotel that allowed the discount now I won’t be able to use on my “second” booking.

Pretty much perfect except.... Been using this app for a couple of years until I got a new iPhone. I accidentally used a different email address when signing in and entered all the same information from before. After booking, I saw that I was starting over with my perks. I talked to customer support and that’s when I realized I created a new account (even though all the information down to the payment method were the same). I asked if they can combine the 2 accounts or at least the points so I don’t lose out on my “HT Perk” Level and the answer was no. I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, an app can’t move OR add/subtract points. The customer service lady even acknowledged it’s been a problem with other customers before. I don’t know...maybe have a fix for it then???

Great app, great deals, customer service? Not so great.. I love the app and getting last minute deals. It works great for that. I do highly recommend it. Now if something goes wrong or you have a question for them, I’m lukewarm on their sincerity if they help you or not. I get the impression they think hey it’s an app. I don’t have to interact with these people and I suspect they hire some folks on the lower end who on paper work in customer service and yet have no clue what it means. And whomever owns HT seems ok with that. Fortunately I’ve not been stranded like many here so my issues were minor. So I recommend giving it a try I think you will have fun. If I’m booking for an important event like a wedding, I use traditional methods with major brands that have capacity to help should a hiccup occur. So be smart on how to use this.

They don’t always secure your room - unreliable. I have used hotels tonight 3 times and the first two times were very smooth and a good experience. The third time I showed for a two night stay and the hotel did not have me registered. I had to scramble and book a room through a hotel chain at a Much higher rate in a city 40 miles away. It was a stressful experience and ruined the middle of my multi-city tour of the California coast. HT customer service was no help and would not assist in any way to help me find another room. All they would say was that they had given me a credit to be used on another stay booked through HT. I will never use this app again. With a one third failure rate they are extremely unreliable. Also it should be noted that HT did send me an email two days before I was to arrive but the app still showed me as booked. (But why let me purchase the room if they no rights to it?) I did not read the email they sent because it was one of about four other emails they sent regarding promotions etc. You have been warned use HT at your own risk.

Travelers Beware of this App. I have reported HotelTonight to the Better Business Bureau. Before you download their app, read the complaints on their BBB profile. They have a non-refundable policy whether or not you are able to stay in the hotel room you booked through their app. I was charged for a hotel room that I could not check into. I lost my photo ID during a work trip to Los Angeles, but the hotel would still not let me check in even when I showed them my booking on the HotelTonight app, a picture of my photo ID I had on my phone, and the credit card I used to book the room. I could not find a vacant hotel that night and had to sleep in my car. HotelTonight still charged me for the hotel and claimed their non-refundable policy even though I never stayed in the hotel. I was charged for a hotel room I was never provided. No solution was offered from HotelTonight. I disputed the charge on my credit card and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I am still waiting for HotelTonight to reach out and resolve this matter.

Used to LOVE this app but lately…. This app is great for finding last minute deals and even providing extra discounts for local deals, however lately there have been multiple times when Ive been looking into a hotel and the website has the same price if not cheaper than this app. Tonight put me over the edge, I was choosing between 3 hotels on our route and ‘suddenly’ one of them sold out & was only available for $10 more. Then when I went back to the other 2 options I kept getting an error that they had sold out (but kept showing up on the map)! So frustrating to feel like I am being gouged in this way & I'm not sure if this will ever be my go-to app again if this keeps up! All in all better in larger cities/areas where there is more options, but on road trips be warned!

Outstanding customer service. When I recently had to cancel my trip to New York due to Covid I received the BEST customer service. I was going to meet my Mom in New York and then travel around the states for 2 weeks. She was going to come in from Europe (where she’s from) and with the travel ban was not able to make it into the country. I had to cancel several flights, car rentals and hotels as this was going to be an enormous trip logistically. I had booked a hotel in New York for 5 days thru Hotel tonight and I have to say that they were THE ONLY ONES that gave me no grief with canceling and refunds. I’m am still in a nightmare with all the other parts of my trip but Hotel Tonight came thru easily and quickly. Would definitely recommend and they will be my go-to for future travel!

Not for me. I used the app twice last week and also a few years ago. The first hotel put us in a run-down, pet friendly room that smelled. We didn’t have a pet. When we complained, they told us this fact about the room and put us in another room that was somewhat better. The second hotel told us the room was a smoking room. When I said I didn’t want one, they said that was all they had and that I should “call” the company that booked it. They told me that “Expedia” booked the smoking room. I told them it wasn’t Expedia and that the receipt said the hotel picked the type of room. The guy wanted to argue with me. I finally got a “non-smoking” room that smelled a lot like smoke. From my experience, the rooms you get “tonight” through this app are a crap shoot as for quality and it’s interesting how you can see the prices increase as it gets later in the day. Will not use this app again.

Love HOTEL TONIGHT APP!. I’m very fortunate because every hotel is booked with Hotel Tonight I’ve had an excellent experience and I’ve never had any problems. I recently even signed up for a Hilton honors card and yet I still always use the Hotel Tonight app because I get the best rates and I am able to find places with self parking without charges. Another thing I love about the Hotel Tonight app is the pictures and reviews from the other guests which really helps narrow down my searches. Lately I’ve been more of a frequent traveler and hotel tonight has helped me in other countries (pre-Covid) as well as in the United States. Looking forward to my international travel once all of the Covid-19 bull is over and I will definitely be using Hotel Tonight!

Waste. Hotel tonight makes you believe that you are a part A membership. The prices for a level 6 are the same “perkS” LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE CAN HAVE. Anyone who has NEVER used this company to book before can book for the fist time with the very same “perks” what is the point of this app if I can google a great deal and use any other app for my reservations? I mean really???? At the Comfort Suites I was told that hotelTonight is always giving them issues. This after I tried to check in only to be told that hoteltonights “credit card” they used for MY reservation was not going through?????????? So u called the number for customer service only to be laughed at after telling the jerk on the phone that I was waiting with my kid outside in the cold. I was very upset and he ridiculed me so I spoke with a “manager” and got NOTHING NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! I am debating ever using your app again! I will pass all of this Info along to my social media following! THANK YOU FOR NOT CARING HOTELTONIGHT!!! My kids thank you!🙄 Happy holidays!

Love this app!. I've gotta say I'm surprised at all the negative reviews. I just returned from a trip to Laguna Beach and the hotel I booked through HT was fantastic, just as pictured. I wouldn't have given the place a second thought passing by but the pics looked so good and the room in person did not disappoint. I used it exclusively last year on a solo cross country trip as well. It was a great resource because I had no real itinerary. This was a 2 month trip where I moved on average every 2-4 days. That's a lot of bookings. The listings clearly state the fees so I don't know why people are being surprised. Just make sure you look at the location on the map thoroughly and read the listings! Granted, if there are bug issues that's another story and I would agree it's out of their control in some cases, with proof I would think they should offer a credit.

Unparalleled convenience for last minute accommodations!, anywhere coast to coast!. Great prices on hotels a person would actually want to stay at. Perks and discounts get even better with time & use. Eventually you earn a live phone concierge from HT. And the discounts get even better the more you book through the app. I’d give it 10 stars if the option were available. I don’t use any other their hotel booking service any more. I wish they would branch out into R.V. & Motorcoach bookings as well. None of those apps have mastered the art of customer satisfaction the way HOTELS Tonight has. I’m level 9, not sure how many there are, but I plan to get all the way to the top, and have a great time getting there!! GET THIS APP, you won’t be sorry!
