Erin Drossman. I’ve had to change my review from a 5* to a 2*. The last SEVERAL orders I have ordered I have had issues with the quality. I have called and reported and was told, “okay- well, I’m sorry.” And that’s it! I look on my account to see how much dough I have and see that I have been “gifted” items that I have absolutely NOT given, or received or offered. Also, I have been adamant that they adhere to the “no contact” deliveries. But for some reason even tho I have it “noted” that I have a police K9 and to please NOT KNOCK! And leave items on porch table! Yet the delivery driver feels he/she needs to make contact by knocking- not once- but two three and four times. They are wanting me to come in contact in order to tip them. Like.......WHAT?? No! They are NOT doing that in order for me to add a tip? Which I always do when I pay when I order. We should be given the chance to tip AFTER the delivery and being eaten so that it’s genuine. Anyone can review/tip right when you place an order. This is ridiculous. I’m an influencer/YouTube and also I do reviews. So I’m trying to give you some advice. Someone is not only ripping me off, but ripping you off. Just check!

Stores are great. The employees are always friendly the drivers are great. The pizza is my absolute favorite, but your app let me down. I was recently traveling in Hot Springs a couple months ago and ordered on the app and typed in the address I was staying at. Very easy very enjoyable experience. Now I’m back home and I place an order go into delivery click on my address at home and finish my order. I submit the order pay for the order and about 45 minutes later as I’m starving I’m excited and wondering where my driver is. I go to track my order and my surprise he was almost here, but unfortunately when I look at the map he is 3 1/2 hours away. The driver then happens to call me asking where I was. I let him know that I order through the app had change the address back to my house and that the app had failed me. So I would appreciate it if you would refund me the money for the pizza I purchased in Hot Springs. Good news is I love your pizza so much I went ahead and ordered again from my home location I’m hoping to get it soon. At this point I am very angry and disappointed in the app only. It’s not that it’s not user-friendly it’s just when I went to the addresses and clicked on my home address it gave me the impression that I had changed the delivery location. I’m only assuming this did not work.

Papa John’s = Awesome. We love Papa John’s! We have a pretty big family & ALL of us will only eat pizza from 2 places (unless we went to New York or Jersey.. Then we would go to one of those Italian “Mom & Pop” pizza places.. aside from that... You probably could not pay us to eat somewhere else!!) LoL 😆 When they added one to our town, we were that much happier!! Now, we can alternate every week or couple of weeks!! Papa Dough is fantastic!! It is, by far, our favorite feature on the app!! Most of the time, they follow the special instructions exactly!! We have been long time customers & will continue to be, so long as they continue to make great pizza at great prices & have great customer service!!!! 😃 I do not know how ALL of the staff at the new one is yet.. We have only been there a few times BUt the few people we have felt with give amazing customer service & are friendly, cheery, caring people!! 😃 Thank You!! 😃

Excellent App. I can summon food with out ever leaving my home or speaking to ANYBODY and now with no contact delivering I can get my food with out speaking to anybody, AND STILL TIP THE DIVER! Finally it is easy to enter promo codes (check the internet for the ones that work)!!! A cheaper order means I can tip the driver better. And while YMMV all of the local Papa John’s in my area have done a great job with Gluten free pizzas. My daughter has celiacs (diagnosed by a doctor after ALL THE TESTS, no 2 year old should have to go through a colonoscopy), and we’ve rolled the dice Many a time on Papa John’s gluten free in the 4 years since she has been diagnosed. The app always shows a warning, but in practice I’ve found (or rather my daughter’s super sensitive stomach has found) that they do a great job of making sure there is no cross contamination. Again your mileage may vary, and Pappa John’s includes a warning, they aren’t saying this, it’s just my experience.

Outstanding!. I have been patronizing a competitor because I lived outside PJ’s delivery area. It was like Russian Roulette. Some days, food came promptly, hot and properly cooked. Too many times, it came quite late, lukewarm, and nearly every item was way overcooked, often burned and inedible. As advertised, I called to ask them to make it right. First time, I got my money back. Next time the employee argued with me. (“How dare I complain” attitude) A couple interim times, I didn’t bother to call. This last time I wrote, I asked them to re-create the order done right another night, no charge. I never heard back. In the meantime PJ’s moved their store closer to my home. I could now get delivery. I began ordering from them and have been thrilled with the results. Every order has been perfect—hot, cooked right every time, delicious, and super courteous and light delivery persons. Clearly, it’s a tightly-run ship with impeccable training. As a retired corporate executive, I’m impressed! Your loss, competitor!

This warranted a review.. I’ve never once written a review before, and it’s a shame the first one I do had to be a poor one. It’s not that this app is dysfunctional, it very much works - after you get through all the difficulty of its user interface. I ordered for carryout, and figured it would give me some sort of notification as to when it would be ready to pick up - something like what Dominos does. However, all it did was send me a confirmation email, and from there it suggests I watch the “Papa Tracker.” This thing was the most useless thing an app has ever had, especially when you so critically want your pizza hot. I know it says it’s for entertainment purposes only, but there should be SOME way of telling when it’s ready. Just to add onto that, there was an opportunity to “share to facebook and get 25% off next purchase,” but when selected, nothing happened at all. I went in and checked on my pizza after I realized the Papa Tracker wasn’t good for anything, and it had been ready for over 10 minutes. All in all, the app works, but only barely. It’s a sad thing that Papa John’s has something like this to their name. Please step it up, please represent better. Papa bless.

*WARNING*. Only use this app if you are prepared for them to constantly pester you for reviews every time you order. EVEN AFTER YOU ALREADY LEFT ONE, TWO OR TEN REVIEWS!!! They will never stop pestering you for more reviews!!! This would be ok if they ever actually paid any damned attention to the reviews and acted any sort of accordingly. Nope. Nobody is paying any attention. Maybe only robots, but no people. Not with corporate anyways. I’m guessing it’s because corporate felt they had a better profit by cutting out any real customer service and replacing them with drones who harass their loyal customers. The corner cutting is infuriating when I grew up on awesome papa John’s pizza only for them to turn into little Caesar’s garbage in the name of more profit. I could literally just lace this review with expletives all over the place and even just write a review of nothing but expletives about how far south this company has gone and they wouldn’t bother. So now I go from long term loyal customer to boycotting them because they just harass and don’t even listen. Their food has turned to garbage and they don’t care to correct it. These corporate goons are what’s wrong with America. Screw Papa John’s Pizza

Best online food ordering app!!!. This is the first review I’ve ever done on the App Store my whole life!!! I love food but this app takes that love to a whole other level because of how simple and express the ordering process is! And aside from the pizzas sometimes looking like a 3rd grader made them*which is normal for these types of pizzas shop* most all the food items on the menu actually look the way their presented in the pictures which is actually super awesome! I love the papa points system as well, it is super direct and straight forward $1=1 point and I love the fact that it’s actual money credit for anything you want to order after you stack 75 points you get $10! Papa John’s hands down the best pizza maker and food app there is out there! Good job all those who make this experience possible!

Manager Missing. These past few months have been very upsetting due to our past few orders. My husband ordered a pizza while I was out of state in June and it took two hours before it was delivered. He did not have a smart phone at the time and is not very tech savvy, so he had to call me in Ohio and have me check on my phone to see where his order was. At time he called me it had already been about 45 minutes. When I looked it said on the papa tracker that it was still being prepared. Then I called him about 45 minutes later after that and he still had not received his pizza. So I called our local papa John’s in lake Wales, Florida and requested to speak to a manager. The lady who answered said she was the manager. Long story short, she stated that she didn’t have enough help to make the time promised online and couldn’t change the default time. She stated she would make it right with free stuff but we never saw that. Anyway I told her to up channel my concerns about the default time and she said okay. Y’all need to fix this. Because it will happen again.

Switched & Satisfied!!!. I’m Happy With The Service I Receive Every Time😋! After Having Continuous Delivery/Quality Issues With Other Competitors Nearby; I Recently Begun To Order From Papa Johns. The Competitors Told Me They Won’t Deliver In My Area; As One (D) Has Always Flat Out Said They Don’t🤦🏾‍♀️, But What Truly Frustrated Me Was The Other One Of Them(PH) Had Delivered To My Address A Few Times Previously🥴. I Just Couldn’t Understand How All Of A Sudden My Neighborhood Was “Unsafe” (Tuh... I Would’ve Met The Competitors Driver In Front Of The Apt Building If Needed/Requested; Being That I Live In The First Building Of The Complex 🥴). 👉🏽 After Having This Experience; I Remembered That Papa John’s Had A Nearby Location. I’ve Ordered From Them Ever Since😊. The App Makes Ordering A Cinch 🙂, The Driver Is Always Efficient As Well As Friendly, & The Quality Of The Food Has Always Been Good. I Would Recommend To Anyone In My Area That I Know, Or That Asks Me.

Delivery address needs to be wiped clear. I have 2 problems with this app. 1. After every delivery order the delivery address should be wiped clear. I just accidentally ordered a pizza to the wrong address. It was an old address from when we were out of town. I didn’t see the address when I was trying to order in a hurry - my bad - busy mom of 3 not paying enough attention. 2. Second problem is once I discovered I was having pizza delivered to the wrong address, there was no information provided on which Papa John’s store my order went to. So I had difficulty trying to cancel to the order. A phone number and store location should be provided. I had to google for Papa John stores in the vacation town and guess which one took the order. Very stressful 20 minutes trying to get my pizza order cancelled and my money credited back to my card. After 3 phone calls I finally got a hold of a store that was able to help me. He voided the order and now I’m finally able to order the pizzas to be delivered to my actual address.

Used to be able to order ahead. I used this app about a month ago and was able to order a pizza ahead of time to pick up the next day. The last 2 times I’ve tried it will no longer let me order ahead....even later the same day, for my local store. If I choose a farther away store I can order ahead. What the 😡 So I called my local store to ask why, of course they don’t know. They offered to set my order up ahead on the phone but of course the online special I wanted (and have ordered ahead on the app previously) they couldn’t give me exactly so I had to pay $1 more AND call in to place my order when the App Store description CLEARLY states that you can order ahead through the app. Highly infuriating. I told the guy on the phone that they needed to let their management know, to which he replied, “they probably already know, but there are probably so many issues out there that who knows....”🤦‍♀️ Honestly next time I’ll pick the store that is 2 miles farther away from me, so I can actually order my pizza ahead on the app. DEVELOPERS FIX THIS OR DON’T LIST IT AS A FEATURE OF THE APP.

Papa's in the house! 🍕. Great pizza! Convenient app! Amazing specials like BOGOs and discounts! Only two things that need work. 1) Fix the bug that duplicates my saved delivery addresses. I have 10 or so of my apartment and at least 5 of my family's address. They show up as something like Apartment1, Apartment2, Apartment3, etc. I can't customize or delete any of them. 2) Add more payment options like Venmo and other similar services! Add options for splitting the bill. As a college student, I can't tell you how many times I've had to foot the bill up front and then try to figure out how to split the cost among 10 other people. Plus, actually getting people to pay me back is a chore in of itself. Maybe add a built-in calculator. That would at least make it a little bit more social, prompting customers to get pizza with friends. Just spit-ballin here. Update: Bugs have been fixed. No more duplicate addresses. I love Papa John’s and I love using this app! Fast food joints trying to kick start their app should take notes.

Great App, Super Customer Service. -UPDATE: From 4 to 5 stars! You can now track the status of your order at any time, even after accidentally closing the app! Super! PJP is the only joint that has always gotten our pizza orders correct every time since I discovered them, it’s amazing. My only little gripe now is that whenever I pay for double pepperoni or whatever else topping, it’s not really double the amount :( plus the other toppings get a little skimped on, but the pizza ingredients are always fresh so we’re still happy customers. 🙏🏻💗 -ORIGINAL REVIEW: Easy, great, convenient app to use for ordering pizza. I love the ease of use! Just wish however, that for half and half pizzas, I could also do half and half for sauces as well (not just for toppings). Also, I just ordered using the app and was tracking it but accidentally swiped it closed. I reopened but it will not let me see/choose to continue tracking my order - it's already under "past orders." It just has me start all over again for a brand new order, as if I have no order currently pending. If not for this failure, I'd have rated this a full five stars. (If we could track our order status and location like DoorDash or Uber, let me, this app would be perfected.) Still, I recommend this app especially if you like Papa John's. You pay a few bucks less than using the DD app plus you rack up points for $$ off future orders. 👍

Papa John’s app review. Sorry to say the quality of your product isn't what it used to be. Back in the day the ingredients were almost to the edge of the pie. Now............ seems like they're getting stingy with everything! Sometimes there's maybe two pieces of peparoni on a large slice of pizza. Hardly enough! Also not usually enough cheese, which forces me to buy extra cheese. It sometimes doesn’t matter how I order my pizzas sliced - when they arrive they are sliced BOTH WAYS!!! At the same time. I like the pizza tracker. That is to say, I USED to like the pizza tracker. A few weeks ago we waited longer than expected. When I called to find out where my order was the lady on the phone said the tracker isn't accurate and she doesn't know why it's even offered online!!! I don't know either!! When our pies arrived they were barely warm. The delivery people are usually pleasant and friendly. All in all, it's getting to be more of an unsatisfying experience ordering from The Pappa, sorry to say 😢. Considering checking out the competition.

Delivered by Door Dash not Papa Johns. Was the very first time ordering within the app. I just assumed that Papa Johns had their own delivery people as do most pizza restaurants. Had I known it was DoorDash I wouldn’t have even bothered ordering. I’ve had way too many problems with them to count. I didn’t know it was DoorDash delivering until I was watching the map and the drive was only 10 minutes from the Papa Johns location, when suddenly half way to my house the vehicle turned the opposite direction and drove entirely to the next city when if he’d stayed on course I would have had my food in 5 minutes. Instead I didn’t receive it until an hour later STONE COLD. When I called the driver to ask why he said his gps changed direction and he was instructed to make the other (farthest) delivery first. This is just one of the many issues I’ve had with them is receiving my food very cold and having to reheat it. My husband didn’t even get to eat before leaving for work that night because of the lateness. They need to state in the app when your choosing delivery or pick up that it will be delivered by DoorDash.

Works good for me. I’ve always ordered online and though the website worked good I often had little problems with it. I’ve now ordered several times on the app (iOS Apple iPhone 7) and have found it to work extremely well, (especially compared to so many other fast food apps which are hinky and/or completely useless)! It seamlessly grabbed my favorites from the website when I logged in. I found it very easy to modify my pizza toppings and choices as well as saving a new favorite. It was very easy to pay with my credit card and provide a tip as well. Lastly, the funny little follow my pizza function was right on and my pizzas arrived exactly as listed. I am hopeful the app will continue to function well. I just wish Papa Johns had Vegan Pizza AND choices on othercheese such as Goat Cheese or other non cow cheese available for those of us who are severely dairy allergic or like vegan pizza.

Unless ordering pizza, app is very annoying. I recently moved, so I went on the app to change my stored address. But, no, first I am forced to choose if I want an order delivered or carry-out. (I’m not ordering at all.) There was a third choice, which was ‘change carryout’ so I tried that, which led to my stored addresses, one of which is my old address. I looked for a ‘delete’ option. There was none. I thought maybe if I tap on the address, then I would find the delete option. Nope. But there was an ‘x’ by one of the address lines, so I tapped that and was then able to x out all the address lines and then hit ‘done.’ But, alas, the old address was still there. I tried x’ing out everything again, then hit ‘save.’ But it then said I have to choose a city. So then, I put in my current city, and address (which is already on file in the app, as my 2nd address.) I hit ‘save’ then checked to make sure it worked. Nope. My old address is still there. I tapped on ‘my account’ and tried seeing if that would help. So, I tried about 4 different times, all tolled, tapping on ‘edit’ to try to ‘edit’ (really to delete or remove) my old address, but it can’t be done.

Never again!. I ordered a triple bacon pizza, garlic knots, and some boneless chicken wings… $43!? That’s ridiculous! Why are you guys so expensive!? You can get a large pizza for $5 - $7 at most other pizza places (and honestly that $5 pizza tastes better). My pizza from Papa John’s was OK, the garlic knots were so greasy that we couldn’t eat them, and my daughter’s boneless chicken wings were so dry and disgusting that she couldn’t eat them. About 30 minutes after finishing dinner my wife & I started getting really sick. We were both up till 3 AM sick on the toilet from the pizza and garlic knots. Then let’s not even talk about how aggressive Papa John’s is with their emails! From placing just one simple order I’ve already received 5 emails from them wanting me to rate my order, order more food, etc. I will never order from this place again! The food is overpriced, it got us sick, and I don’t appreciate being spammed relentlessly with your marketing emails! Plus your reward program is ridiculous! Hungry Howie’s gives you a free pizza with every $60 spent, Chick-fil-A gives you free food all the time… Take some cues from these other places.

Mom's Fave App. To simply call me a loyal customer would be a gross understatement. You see, I am a very busy working mother of three who - despite pangs of "I'm-a-horrible-mother" guilt - serves pizza quite often. Seriously... my average frequency probably works out to be at least twice per week (and that’s down from last year.) Yes, I know. It's very sad. However, in my rationale, pizza technically offers a balanced meal with all food groups represented. 👍🏽 Plus, the quality of the food is never an unknown variable — it’s Papa John’s! Anyway...the convenience of Papa John's app, the Rewards, & the fact they actually have DIET Mtn Dew on the menu makes it my usual go-to for pizza orders. I brag often and loudly to other moms & teachers that I can fix dinner from work using the future delivery time feature. Then, before you know it, I’ve earned free food — which I often use as incentives for my students, snacks for after school groups or a buffet for one of my teens’ parties.

Papa app. Kind of clunky. Not always intuitive to find the best deal or be clear on what is going on. The app designers need to consider the situations in which people order pizza in order to optimize the experience. For instance, a confirmation at checkout of destination and origin store. Sometimes I’m working nights at the office ordering from a store in one county, other times the wife and kids want delivery to the neighborhood pool, and then the standard home delivery. We’ve had to call to cancel when we realized we had ordered from the wrong store because it automatically puts the most recent location and delivery address in by default. Also, they’re missing out on ways to prompt purchasing. Sometimes it’s a narrow debate about whether there is enough hunger in household to justify an extra pizza vs a side of breadsticks. Promos that up sell sides at a discount when combined with a specialty pizza etc, would induce more sales I reckon. Overall the app does what you expect but it isn’t one of those apps that astounds with how user friendly it is.

Great pizza - but app is a scandal. I’ve been eating at PJ’s for decades - their app is great with their “papa track” functionality (to see if your pizza is ready)…. But today I noticed they’ve preyed on all their customers with a fake percentage tips. I don’t know how long it’s been this way, but the percentages are very skewed - No matter what I add to my cart, even the 15% tip is off by a large margin… it gets worse as you increase the tip percentage. The 25% option is actually close to 33-35% for my order today which is why I noticed for such a small order, why is my “25%” tip costing me a third or more of my order? Is this their app programmer taking a little off the top for themselves, or is Papa being greedy and hoping people won’t notice their “tip” isn’t accurate to the percentage button they are clicking? Seems a lot of people either refuse to tip or “over tip” and I really hated to find out that the app is preying on those who click the 25% button to support their local workers of great pizza pie. I wonder if Papa is aware or if it’s all some heinous unethical scandal. I mean it’s a tip, so we can’t sue for inaccurate pricing, it’s literally us giving them free money to help pay their workers as a thank you, but with the app doing your “percent” math wrong, in this day and age, isn’t an accident - it’s malicious. Now I don’t even trust leaving tips in any apps - how do we KNOW the workers are even getting the right amounts? Crime.

Good but could be better. It could be more intuitive, I didn’t see how to leave a tip the first time I used it. If you ordered a custom pizza recently you should be able to select that from the first option of standard pizzas without having to create it each time (even list those first.) this past order I wasn’t able to find a size selection for the pizza, not sure if thats a new thing or what. I can’t imagine they don’t have small or extra-large pizzas anymore... It’d be really nice if they just offered meal deals like two large two-topping and ... for $. Over the phone I always get a two-medium or two-large special with a side. Maybe there could be an option to get limited time offers (that are actually a deal) to order within an hour etc. that could be sent in the evenings if you haven’t ordered or received an offer in at least a week, or before big games etc. Once you get to know how to use the app it is good but not great but it’s still better than calling in an order. — If I wasn’t lazy I’d call and see what the deals are though.

App is almost as bad as website. After several attempts to order using promo codes available within the app and getting papa Johns is unavailable I was finally able to complete my order. Attempted to track but once selected you can’t see your order anymore. Went to the past order screen and only saw half of my order with the ability to repurchase only. I needed to add condiments to my order and finally googled the store to 1. Confirm order was at the location and processing 2. Have 2 condiments added which I was unable to do so because 1.00 isn’t enough to charge. No Offer for the driver to bring and be paid cash either. There is no customer service in the app and sat on hold for 5 minutes listening to commercials with the customer service. It is your app and not the franchised store so you should be available to accept complaints about your app. Was trying to give the brand another chance after their racist ceo ruined their reputation and the app because the multiple notifications of sales on a daily basis was too much. Disappointed and if my pizza is late and/or taste terrible like the service I will be gone for good and deleting the app

Great. It does a good job getting my pizza. So I think it’s good. Because it does a good job getting me pizza. I love pizza. So thanks for doing a god job to get my pizza to me or ready for pick up. It does a good job getting my pizza. So I think it’s good. Because it does a good job getting me pizza. I love pizza. So thanks for doing a god job to get my pizza to me or ready for pick up. It does a good job getting my pizza. So I think it’s good. Because it does a good job getting me pizza. I love pizza. So thanks for doing a god job to get my pizza to me or ready for pick up. So in conclusion, all in all, to sum up, I digress; this is a really good papa johns app to order papa johns pizza. It does exactly what I need to get me pizza. I except give me something to do other than write a review while I wait for said pizza. Please add a little game… I mean what is any app with out some activity to keep you distracted from this crazy world we live in. Enjoy your pizza. While you can. Life is short. Eat the pizza.

Be very careful!. First off, we love Papa Johns' pizzas and order through the app to pick up at multiple locations depending on where we happen to be. This last time when I ordered on the app, I had to add another credit card for payment. After filling in the information, I clicked the "update payment" button. Instead of taking me back to my order, clicking that button submitted the order!!! I couldn't confirm my order again or have the chance to change anything I needed to (e.g., time or location). If the button says "update payment" it should just do that. If a button is meant to submit the order, then it should be labeled "submit order". Furthermore, I attempted to call that un intentioned location to cancel the order but after an hour being put on hold (it was dinnertime so they probably had a high volume of orders), I had to give up. There should also be an option to cancel the order if it's still waiting in the cue and hasn't been prepared yet. That would save the customer from frantically trying to cancel an order during rush hour and end up having their credit cards charged and unable to pick up from wrong location. Other than that, we love their pizzas.

No more Papa for me. I’ve been a customer for decades before my most recent experience. Used them a thousand times with little trouble until… They apparently now use door dash for orders after 9pm that led to me getting a pizza that took from 9:20 pm (even thought the app said it was only a 30-45 minute wait) until 12:45 am on a work night. They closed at 11:00 pm, stopped answering the phones so my call kept me on hold until I hung up after 30 minutes, and the app wasn’t showing any info about delivery status so I had no idea about my order. So I went to the store as they closed (11pm) only to be told my pizza was in transit by a manager that looked 16 who also told me he had no power to do anything for me. I beat my pizza back to my house by 20 minutes and received a pizza that was cold, no garlic butter, and no pizza sauce with my breadsticks. I left my number for the GM the next day at the store and got no follow-up response from him. Lack of execution followed by lack of customer service is unacceptable.

Amazing User Interface. Papa Johns is not my favorite pizza place, but their app has such a good user interface that I just order it over other places because of their fantastic, convenient, and logical and going to other apps by other stores or even websites is so frustrating compared to this. Whoever made the UI for this app needs to make the UI for every app. I love being able to order off my phone during school (we have study hall right before lunch so I order it then) and our school laptops have credit card information websites blocked so you cannot order stuff off them. This creates a need for a good phone UI, and thank god for Papa J’s because without theirs UI I would have to eat the school lunch. This UI has improved my lunch for this year tenfold. Thank you papa for having a fantastic UI and good pizza. I order your good pizza over other pizza places amazing pizza, solely due to this apps convenience. Thank you!!! (11/10 -IGN)

Orders are almost never correct.... How is it that a digital order that is black and white continually is wrong? The workers either bring the wrong entree or do not bring the correct sauces etc. This has happened almost every time we have ordered from Papa John’s. Is there an issue with personnel or is it possibly an issue with the app translating to an order. Maybe Papa John’s needs better SQL developers. It’s disappointing, especially when you pay for your food plus delivery fee then leave a hefty tip for the Papa John’s corporate industry to swoop up. A resolution shouldn’t be hard to solve this along with ETA of your order. This is by far this most disorganized pizza company in America. It would be nice if Papa John’s learned a thing or too from Donato’s! By far the best chain of pizza hands down. Unfortunately, North Carolina has zero of them, which leaves desperation for places like Papa John’s. Best thing to say about this company is they are everywhere in the continental United that States, but that’s also a problem since no management from the top is there to help their businesses all over the US. Pay your employees well and stop expecting the customer to pay for an unsatisfactory meal along with delivery and tip. People love to do this if they have a good meal to eat after a long day along with the most important part the order being correct and made with fresh quality ingredients. Hopefully this is constructive criticism.

Amazing pizza but mediocre app. I love this place’s pizza and have for well over half of my life. The more I use this app the more these issues irritate me... and I’m not going into everything I like about this app, just what I dislike this time around. It irritates the snot out of me having to feel guilted into tipping a damned driver BEFORE I receive my food. Because I have seen the difference in how things are handled with a tip included or excluded and trust me, either you tip before or you really regret it later. 10 cents for Parmesan packets and crushed red pepper? I don’t mean to seem like such a penny pincher, but this crap adds up SO FAST and before you knew it, those two simple pizzas you were craving turned into a $60 order!! But it is really lame that they charge for these now when there are other ways of getting money from people..., JUST ask the developers at Niantic and Pokémon Go; they have many many underhanded ways of milking money from us while acting like everything is business as usual.. Their soda selection is underwhelming, but not as underwhelming as their barely mediocre rewards program. Mind you, Jamba Juice has everyone beat with the most lackluster rewards program I’m a part of, but this one is close when it comes to being humored that your spending actually elevates you rapidly to your free stuff. Yeah

Never give me my order right and then management laugh at me. I will sue I swear.. Menus look nice easy to navigate. BUT THEY ALWAYS FORGET MY SAUCE CUPS AND SEASONINGS. And yet I KEEP ordering… I’m addicted to the flavor. But fed up with Horrible service. Over a year I’m sure I’ve lost at least $300+ from thing they forget. I call to tel them. They say okay well throw it in your next order. But it NEVER come then either. After the backlog of sauce cups sides etc begins to build up they ignore my phones calls a time or two. Then when they pickup next, it’s like their forgot pizza tab has been completely forgot and believe they owe me nothing again. I get mad. No calls. For a week usually. Then after a long week of work… I’m very hungry. I want my favorite flavor pizza.. and I go back. Back to the abuse. Because I’m used to it. But today I’m here to tell you, its not OKAY! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Boycott restaurants immediately when they refuse to correctly give you what you pay for! Don’t fall into a spiraling loop like I have so many times before. Life’s to short. Get your sauce cups, Or go Buy bricks instead! REVOLUTION!!! - Eiheiheiheih!

App is OK. Pros - it is fairly easy to order using app. Putting the ability to tip is great as other pizza companies don’t have that. Cons - setting up new credit card you can not see the field to know what info is needed. Apps does not remember the cart if you are not able to complete the order an timed out. DELIVERY FEES - I hate them. They are the same being of my existence as baggage fees with the airlines. These fees are suppose to cover operating cost and were introduced when gas prices were high. Just like taxes they delivery fee never went down once it was put in place. Pizza delivery drivers around the country seem to agree that the extra operation costs should go into the menu prices of the items so that the customer gets a clear picture of how much his or her meal will actually cost. But with the competition driving down the prices, it will take some convincing to get the major pizza chains on board. The extra cost of the food may only need to be increase a fraction of what the delivery fee is in order to achieve the same profit. If one of the big chains decided to drop delivery fees, the others might follow. It could be part of an ad campaign noting that "the price you see is the price you pay." Anyone who has ever faced sticker shock at the tacked-on delivery fees plus tips plus tax might feel a little bit of relief at knowing what they will pay for their pizza up front.

Easiest app at order food I’ve ever used!. This app is very easy to use. Truly the only way the order comes out wrong is that the person in the other end making the pizzas don’t know how to read, the delivery person gets lost (or eats the pizza on the way to you..😂) or the person using the app doesn’t know how to read correctly.. cause seriously this app is that easy! Love the way they designed it.. they made it very easy for you to choose how you want your pizza done, what the specials are, and beat part is this app doesn’t give you a headache trying to figure out how to do anything on the app. So simple a child could do make their own pizza how they want it. I’ve repeated how easy this app is because it’s just awesome that it’s that easy to do! Thank you Papa John’s designers for being brilliant! Also, it doesn’t freeze up like most apps do while in the middle of ordering!

Points expire too soon. App ok.. They changed the terms on their rewards program to allow the points to expire. I don’t have a local papa Johns, so I can only use the rewards when I am away from home. As such, in the last couple of years since they changed their program, I have lost hundreds of dollars in value. Most of that was at the start of their change in program, when they expired all of my old points. They offered me half my points back, but nearly expired them again on me before I could get a chance to use them. As far as the app experience, it is ok, but it is also very difficult to use the points. I don’t mind driving, but with this app It can be difficult to find a local location when one isn’t close or when I’m on the road and wanting to find one close to my route. I used to really love papa Johns and used to order from them exclusively when available, but this just isn’t cutting the marinara. The app and expiring points has caused me to use every other pizza place possible... and I buy a lot of pizza.

UX Designer not impressed.. I’ll keep it short. Not able to edit a location if it is your “current location”. So I’m at a hotel, and I put the address in forgetting to add the room number. Once the location is set, you cannot edit. You have to change your preferred location to another saved location (should you have one), then edit the actual location in question now that you are not set to that location (in my case, add the room number), and then switch back to that said store after you are done? Why not offer the ability to edit your current location before you have even placed the order??? Then, they give you this nifty “Pizza Tracker”, but don’t you dare leave the app. You don’t have any handle on a current order process if you choose to leave, and no way back to this seemingly great feature. To be fair, your could go click the link in your email, but why not have it still available in the app where all this started to begin with??? Only thing about your order inside the is the ability to do it again, not to see it’s current progress. Whyyyyyyyy???? Also, getting to the cart is confusing. Is it too tough to just have an exclusive cart menu item on your bottom Nav? Is that not your ultimate goal???? Otherwise make sure you hit the left side of the persistent bar at the bottom with the total, because if you take a leap of faith and hit the right side of that bar, you are just prompted for delivery or carry out again.

Misleading nav for pricing, poor tracking, poor design. Menu items are listed at full price, but if you go to the specials section you can typically get a discount on those prices. This is pointlessly misleading, at best you are making people do extra work to get what should be the regular price and for others you are just ripping them off. The navigation of the app is poor — selection of the cart and the toggle for the delivery/carry out are too close together, which can cause a confusing loop of having to choose the method again and again. “Tracking” is a joke, nothing is actually tracked using geo-location technology. Unlike Panera, you cannot tell how far away your driver is; this app just goes through meaningless statuses, even when it says it is out for delivery you have no way of knowing how much longer it will be (e.g. how many people are in front of you or how far the driver is). It’s also impossible to find how to track the order once you’ve left that screen, meaning you have to go to your email to get the tracking link if you want any information about the order. This app would meet basic expectations if the prices were transparent, tracking was more sophisticated and the navigation was overhauled.

Terrible Design. Have you guys even used the app before releasing it!? When I open the app, it forces me to pick either DELIVERY or CARRY OUT. What if I am just trying to track the last order I made 30 minutes ago and see if it’s on the way? What if I am checking to see if I have earned enough “papa dough” to get a free pizza? What if I just want to quickly check what specials you have? Then, when I finally do make an order, the bar at the bottom of the screen shows the delivery address on the left, and the price amount on the right, but it’s all part of the same bar so it makes you think that if you click it, you should just go to your shopping cart and place your order, but if you click on the left side, it starts the whole process all over of asking whether it’s for DELIVERY or CARRY OUT. OR what if you are trying to track your pizza after you ordered it? All of a sudden it’s impossible to find the pizza tracker. That should be a very easy button to find. Especially when there is an active order for delivery still out!!!! So annoying to have to deal with this stupid app just to get your good pizza in my face! Please fix the thing!

Pretty easy. I’d give 5⭐️ except there’s a few things that could make it go smoother. If I exit the app for any reason and come back in trying to finish my order, it’s completely wiped and I have to start over. If I just want to check out specials, I have to select delivery or carry out before seeing the menu- not sure why I can’t select that once I’m adding an item to my cart instead. Selecting pizza topping could be easier if at the bottom it gave a tab for switching between veggies and meats (or had a reminder that veggies/meats cheese topping toggles was above) instead of it being a button to finalize the pizza order. Every time I’ve accidentally finished the pizza without the veggies, I have to delete it and start again. Also, having an easier way to track your order once you’ve exited the app would be easier that having to again select delivery/carry out and go through several steps to find it would be awesome. Maybe a button at the bottom that says track to do so. It is a great app to order but is really frustrating sometimes

Great pizza. Ordering from the app is fairly easy allowing me to save and use multiple locations to deliver to or carry out from, whichever is most convenient. Paying directly from the app allows me to have the no contact delivery or to send food to someone else without sending my credit card with them as well. The tracking service allows me to be ready or pick up my order right on time. The promos and papa dough rewards are great. I wish the specials would be a little more enticing or special. For example, the special for the papadias is the same as original price, but if you click on the specials pricing, the promotional discounts do not apply. The prices may be a little higher than others, but the service and food are much better in my opinion. I would like a feature for the “customize your own pizza” was more clear and didn’t cost so much for each topping. Otherwise I’m happy.

No way to change order after purchase.. I’m giving a one star review in the hopes that this will get to some one that can make a change. I just ordered a pizza and in my haste I for got to change the time of the pick up. I called and they could not change it because I used reward points. I go to the app that you guys want us to use every time, well guess what. I’m not able to change the order. It my fault for not checking my order and if I have to eat warm pizza because of it then so be it. But you should be able to edit an order after you placed it at least the time. I mean you guys are good I placed the order on the app and I called two to three min later it was already in the oven but the app needs work and I’m going to eat some warm pizza. Also why do I lose my reward points if I cancel the order? What kind of sense does that make.

Awkward experience. I could give this app a few more STARS if it wasn’t for this weirdAnd awkward experience. I placed an order a few days ago..., Right at time of delivery, the delivery guy calls stating he was at my door, “I’m in my house inside my door, but I don’t see anybody”. I said I think you got the wrong addy, he insist NO this is your delivery addy on file for your order. Weird. I checked the app and it all looked okay with the right info. So I called the store requesting they call the delivery guy with help on my delivery addressing the correct delivery info. The guy on the phone replied: “Okay boss”...... Like I offended the poor guy for a clear mistake someone made at the store. This is awful and very awkward you PAPA John’s employees, get the job done and do it right please. “You address the issue, you don’t play smart on your side people, you look bad and it AFFECTS YOU!”... No one called the delivery guy of course, I had to tell him where I was exactly abs get my delivery late.... So fix your attitude, earn the stars you think you deserve.

CHECK YOUR LOCATION. I have twice ordered from the app and it is slow to update my “current location”. First time I was did it I returned home from Orlando, FL to North Carolina. As I used the app it never updated my location. I thought it would auto pick up my current location. I did reach out to the store and the manager was very accommodating. Also the manager at the North Carolina store felt bad for me because I was with my wife and kids sitting in the car. He quickly had his team make up our order locally. Second time I was earlier in the day in Rock Hill, SC drive home to Charlotte, NC. While in Charlotte reopened the app placed my order. In error, did not check my location being update and the app still thought I was in Rock Hill. After having it opened for 5-7 min before select the order option. I placed my order and when to the Charlotte Papa John’s to pick up my my order was 35 min away in Rock Hill. Lucky I call and had my sister pick up the pizza but I still had no pizza for dinner. Just if possible place on your list of enhancements a prompt that prior to ordering asked that you confirm the location BEFORE the order goes through or accepts payment.

First time using app….. never again. We’ve ordered from papa johns for years and usually just use the website. Decided to try out the app and I wish I never had. Placed my order via the app around 5:45 pm. Here I am almost an hour later with a screaming toddler and my order still isn’t ready. My husband called to check on the order as he was picking it up. They told him they didn’t have any order with that order number. So I called to try and figure out what was going on. 10 mins on hold and finally someone came in to tell me that my order had gotten routed to the call center and got stuck there. They did start on it right away (I believe) and shortly after that I al of a sudden has an update letting me know that my order was ready. Lo and behold, my husband went in and it wasn’t ready. Almost 15 mins after I got the notification was my order was finally ready. Still enjoy papa johns for their pizza but am not too keen on using the app again. Seems to be some poor communication in the system somewhere.

Add Note to Specific Item on Order. I can’t tell you how many times I have had to have a pizza redelivered because my son can’t have tomato sauce. An easy solution is “add note for pizza maker” for a specific item. Because even clicking “No Sauce” doesn’t always work. Makes it an inconvenience to my family, the driver and the people involved when it could be easily made to stand out more as NOTE. Come on guys, you’ve got all the technology for tracking the car with the pizza but still have employees who don’t read basic instructions all the time. Please consider this. Imagine how many delivered pizzas wouldn’t entail the driver returning with another one and added a loss of income to you. While you’re add it. Why do I have to pay an entirely separate delivery fee and tip, if I’m calling immediately after placing the order through the app to add an extra pizza because more people showed up. That’s insane. Let me pay over the phone or add a timeframe that the order can be corrected by for no additional charge. Delivery fees are too high when I’m already tipping the driver well. This adds over $10 every time to my bill. You don’t need to make all the money in the world, let your driver benefit from a better tip and keep them longer.

The PJ app is AWESOME. This app, once you get your info stored (easily done) and use it only ONCE.... ROCKS. Every small town, city, hotel, friends house, gathering, etc that I go to and the situation arises that pizza needs to be ordered, I shoo everyone away and announce that my app will be used!! Especially people that don’t order Papa’s usually are impressed on how quickly the app can be used and how wonderful the food is. I insist that everyone (who doesn’t have the app currently) puts the Papa Johns app on their own phone and I have been thanked later almost by everyone. I also especially love the fact that everywhere I go, I can just put in my location and it will find my nearest PJs and call up my favorite stuff for me. I can’t tell you how easy this makes my life. Especially since the quality products and superior delivery make it an easy sell! Love this app and Papa Johns!!

Puzzling Problem. A recent order somehow set the delivery address as a Papa Johns location—a location far from my delivery area. Somehow, that order got placed in a car with several other orders. After a few stops, the delivery driver noticed her next stop was her own shop and called to confirm I didn’t live there. I don’t. I had been trying to alert someone to the mixup while watching it unfold on the tracker map. This is when I discovered another flaw in the app: the “customer service” link does nothing. Don’t waste your time trying to tap it. After the debacle, I went to check the delivery addresses associated with my account. Alongside my home address was a Papa Johns address in a neighboring town. How? Who knows… but I’m happy to report THE APP WOULDN’T LET ME DELETE THE PAPA JOHNS LOCATION AS MY HOME ADDRESS. Incredible. I tried calling someone at Papa Johns to report the issue, but after spending several decades on hold while being forced to listen to the same promo for stuffed crust pizza on an infinite loop I gave up. This review has been therapeutic. My long ordeal is over, and I feel like I can finally get my life back on track. Maybe even save my marriage. One star. Wouldn’t recommend.

Amazing app. I think this app is extremely easy to use and makes it almost irresistible to buy a pizza from papa johns when you don’t want to leave the house. My only complaint about the app is the part after you pick your pizza and you want to check out and pay. It was hard to figure out how to actually check out and pay due to you having to click the shopping cart. I found myself clicking a little offset to the shopping cart and it taking me to update the delivery address. Which made it very confusing the first couple times because I thought I clicked the shopping cart. I recommend moving the shopping cart icon somewhere that you couldn’t accidentally click the wrong thing. Or making it an option in the menu drop down. Aside from that this app is extremely easy to use and deserving of a 5 star. Good job.

Good App, has the occasional flaw.. It is easy enough to order through this app, and is my preferred method. They are fast with delivery, and the food arrives hot and as ordered 99% of the time, which is excellent for fast food nowadays! They do need to look at how they save addresses, as you cannot get rid of one that has a flaw in it, and I’ve tried altering it and saving, but it continually reverts to the original entry. I entered the correct address as an additional, and marked the new one as the default, only to have the app continually put the bad address on the order instead. I feel bad for their drivers, because they have to call to get our correct number. Even when I call the store and give them the correct number after ordering in the app, they still don’t give it to their driver, and they have to call. If you could fix this, it would be great!

Good but not 5 stars. The app is ok but could be a little easier to maneuver and order from. Don’t get me wrong I use this app to order at least a couple times a month and will continue too, but it’s not one that your first few ordering experiences you can wiz thru an order quickly. It one of the more time consuming online restaurants ordering apps that I personally feel like I use. I order dinner 4-5 times a week generally too because of my super busy schedule as a single mom of teenage daughters and I work full time as well as I’m a full time college student in my mid 40’s and have 3 online stores I sell in. Honestly I don’t order from Papa Johns as much as I would if it was less time consuming now to use and also if you do for some reason on your part stop in the middle of ordering for a few minutes it will glitch the app and you have to log all the way out and loose your order process and start over the order again from scratch. Just needs tweaked and some glitches worked they

Terrible. To start this off, I would like to say that Papa Johns has always been my family’s choice of pizza. To say I am upset at the service and quality of the meal I received is a grave understatement. I preordered my meal through the Papa Johns app and was notified that my families dinner would be ready in 90 minutes. This was already a lengthier wait time than usual but I opted to continue to place my order as my 3 children were excited to be getting pizza for dinner. When I arrived at 8:00pm to pick up my order placed at 6:30pm I was left to wait until 9:15pm in the pick up line where I was unable to leave or get out of the que. Once I got home to my extremely irritable children who had been waiting more than patiently for their dinner, I opened up the bacon pizza and saw a black hair on one of the pieces. After throwing the piece away and thinking this experience couldn’t get any worse, I reached for the garlic butter to attempt to make my pizza more enjoyable and it was open! This is by far the worse pizza experience I have encountered and I am ashamed to have subjected my family to the poor quality of food that was prepared.

This app SUCKS. I can never get my Visa Gold card to work. It always says the info is wrong. It is not. Not using it again. The food is GREAT. I can’t waste a ton of time trying to order and then having to phone in anyhow. It’s easier to order from another pizza place. I’ve Stopped ordering from there. You lost a customer.

Favourite Pizza Place!. This app is just great, fantastic rewards programs, very good support online from Papa Johns as well. I’ve only had a very minor issue once and was able to have it fixed through an email support ticket. The response was also super fast! Happy to recommend to anyone who likes pizza!

No stars. The app kept circling back, had to log in several times, kept asking for name, address, when trying to pay by credit card. Ended up using cash option and proceeded as a guest-no papa rewards yet again. This app is very poorly designed.

Would nice if coupons actually worked. Have offers that were sent to me that don’t actually work.

App rejects my CC every time for no reason. App rejects my CC every time for no reason. Fix it cause it’s dumb

Amazing pizza. Always fresh and on time love this pizza

Orders don’t go through. Placed 2 orders, both orders didn’t make it to the location.

The credit card function is almost always broken so it’s impossible to pay on the app. What a terrible app. It’s very hard to navigate especially with promo codes and half the time you have to enter everything in two or three times to do it all in the correct order. The credit card function is almost always broken so it is impossible to pay on the app and it has been like this for over a year. I don’t know how anyone in 2021 has an app that can’t even except payment. Also everyone and their brother has a tracker for deliveries for Papa John’s just has a fake tracker. First of all why even bother, second of all get an actual tracker. Especially when the delivery time estimates 55 minutes and sometimes it’s actually 20. People need to know what time it’s coming when it varies by that much.

Fix this app.. I’ve never been more annoyed than using this app. Delivery drivers showing up to wrong addresses and calling me to find me. My address is perfectly clear in this app. Along with the correct postal code.

“The iOS app is glitchy” —Papa Johns. That’s an exact quote from Papa John’s telephone support. They recommend using the Papa John’s website instead. My primary delivery address was set to another Papa John’s store location and there was no way for me to fix it.

Meh.. App barely ever works lol… Everytime I add a presaved address, it changes it to the stores delivery address??? Just a huge hassle

Great app and company. Love the food here!!

Coupon does not work. Cannot apply coupons and some special orders are missing in cart

Delivery. I’ve been ordering delivery from Papa John’s for the last 6 years every Friday night. The pizza has always come hot, delicious and in a proper delivery time. Highly recommended!!!

Online payment functionality. Online payment functionality seems to always have errors with processing payments. End up paying with cash....having the payment placed on the credit card a few hours after delivery and then debited back a few days later.

Unable to order. After creating an account, unable to place order or make delivery. Zip code not working, address not working! Finally nothing work!

Credit card payment option works self only. Decent app but the bugs associated with trying to pay with credit card are frustrating. Sometimes works, more often than not it doesn’t.

Buggy as hell. Needs an interface that’s less glitchy. For instance, you get a postal code error when you sign up for an account. There’s no section to enter a postal code!

The app is ridiculously Hard to use. This app is useless. If my kids hadn’t been so hungry we would have driven 20 more min to McDonald’s. There is no rhyme or reason to the menu with no indication where for example a ham and pineapple pizza would be located. Erasing my order 3 times, having to re-enter the same promo code a dozen times for 2 pizzas then had to delete the orders that did not have to promo code attached to them. This process took 40 min to order 2 pizzas. Not again I am afraid. Not until this app is rebuilt from the ground up.

Lost Papa Dough. Tried to Log In but couldn’t remember my password. So I tried to reset my password but the system said the there was no account tied to the email. I tried to make a new account, but then the system said the email I entered was already in use.

Needs improvement. Decent app, however the customer service chat is not optimized for mobile and there is no pop-up confirmation of delivery address. Even Starbucks has that! Do better

Unable to proceed after adding card. Unable to proceed after adding credit card. It keeps on saying invalid card information.

Credit card payments on app don’t work 👎. Nice revamp. Credit card payments still don’t work!

Garbage. I have wasted so much time trying to place an order. Delete.

Not working. Spent ten minutes setting up and ordering for the app to tell me I have no connection to the internet, which isn’t true. Deleted and ordered from Panago instead, good job here people.

Doesn’t recognize my house now. I have been using the app for years and for the last 2 years it will not accept my address for delivery even though there are 2 within a 10 minutes drive from us! I’ve been ordering elsewhere, they at least recognize my house on the Main Street I live on.

Too buggy. Extremely buggy, no need to name specifics with how bad it is.I’d use the website but it’s somehow even worse on mobile. At least their competitors have working apps

Credit Card Error. Have had this issue for about a year now. I have tried with multiple cards and deleting and re entering in all my card information and my address information and it still won’t take my credit card payment. Very frustrating, please fix this bug as it’s been over a year now.

You can never pay with your credit card. I tired numerous cards credit and or debit cards it’s be going one for month even after the apps update

Can’t customize certain stuff. I know that the pizza comes with garlic butter sauce inside the box. But no one at my house likes the butter dip. I’d rather be able to switch it out for a different dip

Some Good. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The Shaq pizza rocks and loaded with flavour. Great job Poppa Johns

Apple Pay & tracking in the app. Please allow for Apple Pay as a payment option & the ability to track my orders without going into a browser

Accessibility with VoiceOver is reduced in this version. Hi I am extremely disappointed in this version of the app. The accessibility with voiceover is significantly reduced and it took me almost 20 minutes to place a simple order tonight. Please follow the proper accessibility conventions that Apple has published so that people who are blind can use your app effectively once again. Otherwise, I will be looking for a new pizza supplier.

Where did all the deals go?. Papa Johns has really gone downhill, the app has always been amazing no problems here, but they have really gone downhill in regards to their customer service , they no longer have Late Night Huger deals or Lunch deals or carry out deals , upped prices on the ones they do still have . Hello Domino’s 👋

Credit card never works. So frustrating the credit card often takes 6 tries and then works or doesn’t work at all.

Can’t create account. Trying to set up account. Get error saying needs location address field completed. There is no place for address other than email, first and last name, password, phone number, and click old enough button. That’s it! Tried help line at Papa Johns and they said try installing again. Nope still same error Help!?

App Unstable. Several times the app hasn’t worked.

App. The app barely works. Maybe 1:10 times I try it will it work. Especially when there are deals on. So now we have found other places to order from when vet the app fails us. Terrible for business. Last week we had 16 people over and 3 of us tried the app , kept telling all of us we had no service and to try again , so we ordered from Panago instead.

First time didn’t work. Loaded the app because we got a flyer in the mail. But it only has an option to “Log in” not create account on the app...? I can’t log in without an account I guess. So, unfortunately I deleted the app.

Stupid. Terrible service. I ordered a pizza through the app, waited an hour and a half and after a call to the pizzeria I was told that they did not receive the order. When I asked for a refund, I was told that I had to solve this problem myself through the bank

Awesome. Easy to use and customize your order and has great offers

App worked fine for a few weeks. Then nothing worked.. Can’t place an order because it keeps telling me the papa johns doesn’t deliver to my address. I’m less than 2km away from the store. I was successful on placing 2 delivery orders in 2023, but now I can’t order anything through the app. Customer service told me up to 5km radius is deliverable, since I’m inside that radius, it should be working. No points with orders because I can’t use the app, sucks.

Glitchy. If I log in it will always say there is a problem and can’t place my order. I have to log out and check out as a guest and then it works. But then I don’t get my Papa Dough. Maybe they do it on purpose 😠

Payment error. Since the last update I cannot pay with a credit card on the app. But my account does work when I login from my desktop computer. I have complained to Papa John’s a few times about this and no one has returned my inquiries.

No good. Will not let me check out with promo codes.

Stop asking. Keep asking me to review

Papa johns app. Love the pizza. Great in store service. Dry frustrated with the app. Can’t place an order. App will not accept any of my payment methods. Very disappointed.

Wont accept my correct postal code. Dumb app

XL Large 4 topping special. The pizza was definitely over cooked to the point that the pepperoni edges were burnt and the crust was hard. Unfortunately I did not know about their “guarantee” program of else I would have immediately called back.

Works except for…. You can’t order pizzas that are half one flavour and half the other. I would use the app if it would let me do that. I usually end up calling and the person on the phones helps me with that type of request.

I LOVE this app!. It has all the food on it of course, but you can also use codes for it as well! I often use the promo codes for my orders, and they take off a pretty good amount, depending on what it is. The app also gives you their own codes to use so you don’t have to pay so much money (depending on how many orders or time on the app). You can customize your orders, gives tips, and even have multiple forms of payment. Some of them even include no cant act delivery, where they ring your doorbell and place the food at the front door. The food is delicious and always hot. I personally the wings because they are moist, bully with flavor, crispy or wet, and they are just *chefs kiss*. Nonetheless, this papa johns app I’d amazing, and I fail to find any flaws.

Works Perfect. Easy to use, fast, has all your deals, racks your points, holds multiple cards and your popular delivery addresses and so on. One our most used apps. Ya can’t beat Mama June’s for a quick, cheap, high quality pizza!! The little Roman guy can’t come close quality/taste wise for the same price or higher in most cases when it comes to delivery or multiple toppings. Sign up for emails also because a lot of special deals come via email daily which makes it even more of a value. Highly recommend(even though the nfl sponsorship thing was whack and one hell of a bad decision on their part-Atleast I don’t have to look at those NFL Detroit Lions boxes anymore cause I was getting ready to “take a knee” when it came to using this app... 🧔🏻👍🏻

These guys... Look, Papa Johns is so fire, you ppl don’t even understand. So Imma letchu I’m on a lil sumn. Mayne, while I don’t condone the cruelty it takes to make angels cry, i do applaud the fact that papa johns extracts said tears and puts them to use in whatever witchcraft they are partaking in to meld these astonishingly desirable culinary masterpieces. I’m not the kind that checks the “yes” box when it comes to pillaging sacred villages long known for their superior skills with a pizza oven, but I do understand and will turn a blind eye to it since I also know that Papa Johns must go through such tireless efforts in order to capture and compensate with fair wages and reasonable hours, Ppl with the ability to whisper into the machines inner mind, and compel it to expel circular necessities into my life. So thank you Papa Johns, for plucking out my dreams, and cooking them into a reality

Terrible app followed by terrible service.. The first time tried to check out I input my card information and it immediately checked me out even though I hadn’t confirmed the rest of my order or input a tip. Then I immediately tried calling the store to have them add the tip. Apparently store numbers don’t go to the store any more, but to a call center where I was disconnected 4 times and transferred twice. They finally sent me to the store where the answer I received was, “hello?” I asked him to clarify who I was talking with in what department (since at this point I had no idea) and he gave me attitude. He told me the only remedy, since I’m only doing no contact delivery, was to cancel and resubmit my order. Which I did. When I went through the check out process again I made sure the tip was added before I input my card information. Only this time it sent me back to the order page to confirm everything before submitting. What in the actual —— is going on with the app?

Easy to order and love the time estimate. It’s always easy to order, and I love that you can use Apple Pay. I also love the estimated time, BUT I really loved it when the tracker on the driver worked so I didn’t have to go outside and wait (addresses are hard to see in our neighborhood). Another BUT (sorry, but you did ask), the tracker only worked on the delivery the first time I used the app. It hasn’t worked (or been activated maybe) on any deliveries since the first one. Great idea though. Thanks always though to the courteous drivers and great pizza! Months (or years later), and I still agree with my earlier review. The tracker still doesn’t seem to work BUT the time estimate is always right.

Thanks for the great service. I eat this stuff every day and love it. I was in a wreck 2 months ago and haven’t gotten a new car yet. I believe my family would starve if it wasn’t for papa Johns bringing us our dinner. The costumer service is amazing and our order is always correct and on time. Even on days when I can’t leave an adequate tip I always get a smile and a have a nice day from the driver. I’ve worked in several restaurants and have delivered pizza my self in Florida so i know days can be tuff for a driver but they always seem to have it together and are very polite and professional. I think they should all get a raise for there superb work. I will continue to order from the south side papa johns in Paducah Kentucky even when I own a car again.

Horrible, fake wait times. App doesn't give an estimate of how long pizza will be ready until after you pay. Some nights, you order expecting to pick the pizza up in 15 mins. Some nights, you order and then see it's a 120 minute wait, so you gotta call them up to cancel the order and then figure out something else to get for dinner. They also partner with doordash, but their app doesn't understand what this means. So when the pizza is ready in 10 minutes, and you get an alert saying that the pizza will be delivered in 15-25 minutes, expect to get a text message from a delivery guy 45 minutes later saying that he will be picking up the pizza in 5 minutes from Papa John's, so he'll be at your house in 30 minutes (if he was accurate about his 5 minute estimate, but he wasn't, so it's an extra 20 minutes). So your pizza was cooked and ready to eat 90 minutes before it arrives, whereas the app told you it was already out the door and about to be delivered 70 mins earlier. Do not use this app. Unless you don't care when your pizza is ready/arrives.

Thanks for nothing!!!!!!!. I have been using this app for several months now and never had a problem, until last night. I ordered a pizza and according to Papa Track, my pizza was in the stage ( being prepared ) just before delivery. I then get a call, telling me that they don’t have a driver, to deliver my pizza, would I like to pick it up instead. If I had wanted to pick it up, I wouldn’t have asked for delivery and since I had a knee replacement and I couldn’t drive, I told them to cancel the order. They had to know that they didn’t have a driver, when I placed the order, but they waited until the order was almost ready for delivery, to contact me. With this in mind, I have decided to delete the Papa John’s app and to go elsewhere for my pizza from now on. Obviously they don’t know what good customer service is and how to treat customers. Sorry, but last night you just lost a long time customer. Guess that from now on, I order from Marco’s and forget about Papa John’s lack of customer service.

Delivery issues. I haven’t eaten Papa John’s for years until recently and I’m very pleased with everything I order except the fact that multiple times I’ve gotten delivery I haven’t gotten all my items. Also it takes extremely long to get the order which I completely understand but when it takes almost 2 hours to get an order and then there are items missing, it’s too late to even try to get it corrected. With that being said I love Papa John’s and I’m very happy I started ordering from them again. I just wish they would send a notification through the app asking if my order was correct and if I enjoyed it or had some type of follow up. If it wasn’t for the missed items I would’ve given them 5 stars.

Loyal Customer. I seem to order from you guys several times and I’ve always liked the service I get and the options there are. However there are a couple suggestions that could possibly be added and it might help you get more customers. First off if it would be possible to have a couple other choices for the sauce on the pizza like say Honey BBQ or Garlic Parmesan, and the like to make each more customized to everyone’s liking and would want to try something new. One thing that I’d like to see return is either the pan pizza or the sauce that you used on it cause it was really good. As for the toppings and sides I think those are pretty good and have a variety and don’t have any suggestions there. Hope this review helps you think up new things for us Loyal Customers to try!

Getting better now. Getting better with respect to previous versions but need more improvement in the app. I hope Papa John spending good amount to develop the app. But need more user friendly and techniques to make it more informative like Order history , location I purchased , type of pizza . Tracking pizza order still confusing .. should have a menu option that navigate to live update on pizza order in progress , even if I logout and login back again I would get the tracking info available. Should give options for multiple location in favorite list. Redeem points details which transaction give me how many points and stats of points collected as this reset to 0 after use , so, one would have record how many times I have for free pizzas .. and so on ,.. lot of area that app can improve further ..

Still a Dope Pizza. I order from this in the cut PaPa John’s here in West Knox! The coolest ufkin place! My dream would be PPJ comes up with a better thin crust. The people you have working in this in the cut place should all get a raise. I know your policy on delivery charges, I must say I’m not a fan! However you do treat your employees fairly in that aspect I encourage you to look at another means. I my opinion your robbing Peter to pay Paul, while the people who do your actual movements get the penalty. I would be more inclined to tip more if I knew all of it goes to the driver. And I tip well only because I have done there job! I know what I’m talking about. Your a great company! I just think you are moving backwards. Peace be with you. 2183.

Hard to navigate specials.. I was kind of confused when I had a special that I wanted to order that was more than one pizza. Took me several tries before I realized that each selection was for each pizza for the special. I tried to make my selections and each came up as a separate pizza, not adhering to the deal. Maybe you could make it so that if someone selects a deal they should choose their first pizza of the deal and be informed of that, then the second pizza, and so forth. If there’s a deal, then the prompts to each separate pizza should be according to each separate pizza. because I felt like I was going back and forth trying to pick what I wanted to fulfill that deal. But each time I was choosing a pizza that was part of said deal, the pay part said it was not. I kept having to start over. I’d like it to be a little more user friendly or clear as to how to fulfill an order.

Cancellation option. Hello. Can you please add a cancellation option to the orders that are placed on this app. I had my friends address in the app from my last order when I was at their place. Me not paying attention it was being delivered there. But when I realized my mistake I didn’t have an option to cancel it. I tried to find the pizzeria it was coming from. But this app doesn’t give you a very good description of what Papa John’s is being delivered out of. I had to call multiple Papa John’s until I found the correct one. My order was canceled. But if I didn’t know what I was doing I would’ve lost out on my money. I’m thinking a cancellation button would of help this situation. Thank you and I hope the changes appear soon.

HOW PIZZA SHOULD BE. I was a lifelong Dominos guy! My entire family was. But the Dominos in withamsville, Ohio has the worst customer service and the pizzas are just not up to par with our standards. This place has changed our minds on who has the BEST PIZZA. Papa Johns in Amelia, Ohio makes the pizza extremely fast and just absolutely perfect. You can tell these ppl care. And that means a lot to a family who chooses to spend their hard earned money with a pizza place. The ingredients are always amazingly fresh. The pizzas are perfectly baked. This place makes you feel special each and every time you order from them. And we are very thankful. I know this was pretty serious for a pizza review but it was well deserved and well warranted given our experiences with other places in our local area. CHOOSE PAPA JOHNS! Nobody else pizzas like Papa! Period.

Like but disappointed.. Enjoy there pizza. Disappointed today. I got a notice of free delivery all week. Clicked on the notification and it opened the papa John’s app. I place an order the delivery charge was there. I went back to the notice it took me back to my order I went back in the app to see if there was anything in the app. There was nothing…. I paid for my order it charged me for delivery. Not happy with bate and switch advertising. If you advertise free shipping it should be free shipping. Just like if you advertise a three topping pizza for a price and someone order an extra cheese there shouldn’t be a markup. The cheese doesn’t cost more than three additional toppings. This will make me think when I want to order next time if I really want papa John’s or not. Sad business get so money hungry. Just sad.

Love Papa John’s. I lived in the boondocks 95.7% of my life. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I could eat exactly three things without being sick. Mexican food (especially chicken quesadillas), Papa John’s (no, not pizza, specifically Papa John’s), and Snickers. I will forever have a special place in my heart for the awesomeness that is their pizza. I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because of the fact that they now charge for their garlic butter sauce. From a business standpoint, sure there might have been waste. Instead of when you ask us to add it on for an extra charge, just let us decide. What’s next?!? You charging for the pepper!?! Do better. It’s not about every cent out of the dollar in profit imaginable. It’s about the memories associated with them like this. We all have that go to pizza place.

I have met your demands and rated your app, now please release my family.. This app is as right as the mail. My only complaint would be that once you exit out of the app or even the tracking portion, it is difficult to impossible to find your way back. Not terribly important, but it is almost 2019 and it’s every American’s constitutionally granted right to know the GPS coordinates of the pizza from birth until the moment we shovel it down our gullets. Also I must admit, I am secretly tracking the amount of time it takes from my pizza to go from the oven to the box. Not because I care, but because it is now a gambling event in our household when we order pizza. There is about a 45 second time or “point spread”, so it’s actually much closer than you’d think. My 14 year old will try to “skim points” by calling and finding who is boxing pizzas, so she knows what ranges to aim for; that kid always covers the spread.

Papa’s App. This app is very easy to use. Items are categorized where easy to find. Can store favorite orders to make reorder much easier. But. You really need to add Sierra Mist to the website because our stores carry it and that’s what we order. It’s a Royal pain to have to them call EVERY SINGLE TIME to have them change it out. My store is absolutely wonderful about switching and super nice because they understand it’s not on the site. So why isn’t it??? You say you’re trying to make it easier for us... we’ll, my situation isn’t easy. It’s time consuming and if I didn’t like the staff so well, I’d probably order from some place else. But the Sullivan store is one of the nicest I’ve ever had experience with. So I wish you really consider making this addition to the app. Soon. Thank you

No Delivery. First, I have enjoyed Papa John’s Pizza for many years & hope I’ll be able to enjoy it for many more. But with the last app update the store I have ordered delivery from through the app, for quite some time, was now telling me it was carry out only for my location. And since, to the best of my knowledge, this was the only store close enough for delivery. Unless this is a glitch in the app, I guess I’ll be ordering pizza from one of the many other pizza restaurants that do deliver to my location. Oh and I did call and spoke directly with the manager of said Papa John’s and the kindest thing I can say was she was “ indifferent “ to the fact that a long time customer who has spent lots of money over the years ordering from her location was no long able to place an order for delivery like in the past. Hope this problem, if it is a problem, is fixed soon!

NEEDS delivery ETA before purchase. Great app, great pizza, but one thing it’s lacking is an ETA when ordering. Customers should know BEFORE they place an order what the estimated time for delivery is. Point in case, my current estimate for delivery is two hours and had I known that beforehand I wouldn’t have had to call and cancel the order, or I could have prepared beforehand better. Knowing what the ETA is would have saved my time from being wasted and saved me from wasting the time of the Papa Johns employee who had to cancel my order because my children can’t wait two hours for their meal. I realize this would likely prevent some sales but on the other hand it puts the customer first and would also stop customers from having to cancel orders that are hours away from delivery which wastes employee time also.

Delicious Dinner in a Snap. I admit it, I haven’t been a Papa John’s patron in a long time. I frequented more trendy, local pizza joints (which I still do). Recently, I moved to a more rural area (lots of farm land) and I have been longing for a place that still delivered. And sometimes, you need good pizza in a flash because the preteen has football, the tween has dance, he has a meeting, and I have papers to grade. The last thing we want to do is cook. Since Covid, Papa John’s has been a lifesaver as we have integrated back into life. Our busy schedules sometimes require a quick, delicious meal that everyone is excited about. And honestly, I’ve never not been excited about pizza (and I passed that gene on down). I love the convenience, the quality, and the satisfaction that Papa John’s pizza brings to my household.

Can’t pick store for delivery. There are a few major flaws in your online ordering system. We placed an order tonight for some gluten free pizzas. The order was processed normally through the app (even though the computer should have known the product was out of stock), only for us to receive a call from the original store saying that they are out of stock. The original store we ordered from called us back to let us know that they were out of stock of the gluten free crust. They canceled our order over the phone. We then went back online to try and order from our other near by store, only to discover that we could not do so. We had to order from the other store for carry out, but we were unable to use the same online coupons, or get the same drink or pricing options. This could have been handled in any number of graceful ways instead of the unmitigated failure that your computer systems trapped us and your store staff into. We even went to the trouble of calling for help from the phone number on your website. We were told in no uncertain terms that changing our store (to the other store just down the road) simply wasn’t possible. So not only do we now have to leave the house (where we are hosting a birthday party) and go pickup our dinner, but its costing us more money to do so as well. We aren’t mad, but we are very disappointed in your technical and support staff.

Great pizza great app. I’ve been using the Papa John’s app since about 2012 so I’ve seen a lot of changes but have never written a review. The app is easy as all heck to use and the addition of Apple Pay has made me love the app even more. I can’t remember when they added it but it’s been in the past couple of years. The one thing I love that could use a little upgrade is the order status. You’re able to see your order as its being processed and what part of the baking order it’s in, etc. but if you exit out of the app or go back to the menu for whatever reason you can no longer go and view your order status. Honestly though if that makes or breaks your decision to download and use the app you should probably order from a desktop computer. Much love Papa John’s!

Mixed feelings. The app it pretty cool.... I feel like the tracking is just timed to tell u random S”*T based on a timer tho. I mean are these people really scanning or taking the time to tell a monitor each and every step of the pizza making process. I worked in a delivery pizza chain in the early 2000’s and let me tell u when it got busy (Sh”* HIT THE FAN) There’s no way 3dudes on the make table line throwing together orders / someone else cutting 40 pizzas shooting out of an oven every 2 seconds, cutting/ boxing and dispatching drivers on to different locations are also worried about telling a computer every step of the way on busy Friday nights. Just my two cents but who’s listening. Other then that the app is pretty straight forward. There should be a points system to earn deals or something like that too.

Avoids mistakes. Cleat what u r ordering. Really 4.75 stars. The app is very good and you'll never make a mistake ordering the wrong thing. You were given very clear choices and multiple opportunities to review what you have selected. The application allows freedom to very precisely order exactly what you want with no transcription errors that you get ordering over the phone. It's nice that they often even tell you the calories per slice of what you're ordering as well. The only thing that kept me from giving five stars is that it is not always easy to figure out how much what you're ordering costs until you review it in the cart. This leads to a little bit of back-and-forth if you don't order the same thing every time. But this is a minor point. I really like that this app is not only very accurate but also very precise.

It’s bussin ong frfr. But seriously, using the app eases your mind and you have all the time in the world to order. As opposed to calling a teenage girl stressed out in the middle of dinner rush who’s gonna ring in your whole order wrong. Also, you get to see all their deals under 1 category so you can see what fits best for your family(or your bigazz self lol). The Papas Pairing is by far the best deal! $6.99 for multiple selections, including the delicious Honey BBQ Boneless Wings, and they actually fill the thing up so it can fill up 1 person. Comes with Papadias and Medium Pizzas for $6.99 as well, and sides and cookies and such. It combines everything you order into a nice reasonable price(in todays standards at least). Definitely get the app!

Ok but needs improvement. It’s not very clear if the order is for delivery or carry out at the beginning of the order. I had to dig and double check for these details. Otherwise, it just defaults to how you last ordered. (I made the mistake this last time for carry out at a location far away from me that was defaulted from the last time I ordered and had to call to cancel the order. Thankfully I was refunded but the food waste that happened made me feel bad for the company.) Other apps just default to the location closest to you and ask, before you begin, if you would like “delivery” or “carry out”. I think it would be more helpful if the app walked you through things in a more step by step way. Instead, it just has things to click in a row if you happen to be thorough enough to look on your own. Otherwise you’ll miss the fun when it comes to the crust type or cut. It’s not tech friendly if you’re not tech savvy. Lastly, the payment option is very confusing. When I finish my order, each time, I try and use the same card as before but it always does a back and forth option first as if it wants me to add another method of payment instead. It’s seems like a weird glitch. I have to toggle between payments for a bit to figure out how the heck to just use the card that I always do before I can finally put in my cvv number.

Some problems. Many of the reported issues sound very familiar...having to go through the order process several times, cumbersome switching from pick-up to delivery and vice versa. Today I ordered a Family Deal for pick up. When I got to the store to pick up and pay, the store asked for more than the quoted price. I asked why and they didn’t know. “Because that’s what the machine says” isn’t a good answer. So after about 5 minutes it was discovered that I had three toppings and the Deal was for only one topping. Ok -that makes sense. But why didn’t the app tell me I had ordered outside of the terms of the Deal and would be charged more??! So I opened the app to report the problem and found no way to report issues or problems. I have used the app a good deal so it’s not so bad that I wouldn’t use it. The rewards program is pretty good. But it seems that Corporate could make this much better if they wanted to.

Best pizza around. This is my fiancé favorite pizza place and it is become one of our favorites as well I didn’t used to like Papa John’s now because they didn’t have good pizza but because I prefer pizza from my hometown jet’sPizza but I have become to like Papa John’s just like everybody else fresh ingredients just like they say every time the dough is fresh it’s always made to order the only problem I’ve ever had is getting my cheese cubes with my orders sometimes they forget but that’s not a problem with the food that’s just a forgetful thanks. And I can’t hold that against them they’re really busy making that wonderful pizza LOL I give it a 10 out of five stars they’re just amazing they’re nice they always give me extra cheese cups and paper plates and everything I need for my family to eat

User friendly app. However, .... It is easy to navigate through this app without difficulty. That much I can say. For an introvert like myself, it is convenient to not have to talk to someone over the phone. This ensures that you have a physical copy of your order in the event that something is messed up and you catch the mistake upon delivery to have that said mistake rectified in the future. However, what could be improved upon is the accessibility of the order tracking feature. I have noticed that this feature can only be viewed immediately after an order has been placed, but if the app is closed and then reopened, the tracking feature can not be viewed. Maybe I’m blind, but I can’t seem to find where to access this feature in the app. Other than that, this is a very convenient alternative to going directly to the website, or God forbid, making a phone call.

Broken UI WILL NOT ALLOW me to select any option!!. STILL waiting for the below UI issue to be resolved and am quite unhappy this is still not fixed as this is preventing me from selecting the specials and rewards menus!! Please fix ASAP! Menus options at bottom of home screen ONLY ALLOWS for the actual cart to be selected! Cannot view specials or rewards....and will not order until this is resolved. SECOND REQUEST FOR RESOLUTION FROM A WEEKLY ORDERING CUSTOMER!! UPDATE ON MOST RECENT UPDATE: Please fix the app design for iPhone 6s. Only able to select cart and cannot pull up specials, rewards or any menu options other than the main page. I just had to pay full price when I always use a special/promotion or rewards! This needs to be fixed asap, other than that the app has always been great!! Absolutely Perfect App, to go along with the best pizza and delivery service in the city! Works exactly like website and new touch id was an incredible update to an already 5 Star app. THIS IS HOW AN APP SHOULD BE MADE!! Most developers could really use this app as a model of perfection!

Very Easy, very intuitive, very good. App makes it very easy to order. Love the fact that they show the specials up-front and I can select them right from the home screen. Options to customize are easy. I can add veggies to one half of the pizza and mix and match which veggies to add on which half (right or left). Love the ability to customize. I can select different types of crusts. A year or so ago, I had requested to add an option for a “clean cut” - which means don’t cut the pizza with the same cutter used for meat pizzas (since I order veggie pizzas only and I don’t want cross-contamination). A few months later I saw the option added to the app, and I am beyond thrilled! They listened and added it to the app! That’s amazing. 7-stars!!!

App is functional but needs one small improvement…. Pros: The app is easy to use and navigate and thus far we’ve had no problems. Specials are easy to find and orders are quick and easy to complete. It’s easy to create your own pizza with the tools available. Cons: There isn’t a large enough space to write reminders or special instructions regarding the order. If your order needs special delivery instructions or something added that is not on the normal options, I’d advise calling the branch location yourself as I’ve had personal problems myself in the past. Overall it is a pretty fast and convenient app. I just wish it reminded you via notifications when a special offer or coupon has been offered for the day.

Takes a few times to figure out. Okay after that.. It's functional but takes some getting used too. Would have been 5 stars if a tad more user friendly. More like a 4.5 rating but now at to rate it that way. Edit function needs work. I end up having to do redo orders over again. That being said this has become my favorite way to order. It saves prior orders which I like. But if you ordered at a special price it won't let you repeat once price changes. Would be better if you saved pizzas instead of orders and then check off what you want to order again. Seems like mostly negative listed here but it is a good app. I do recommend to download.

It’s good for what it does.... But, if you make a mistake on your order there is no way to cancel it, amend it or anything. Not even an option to immediately call that specific store. You have to look up the store phone number some other way, and time is just passing by..... And, who knows how long it will take for the charges to get corrected. I know, it all depends upon the bank, right? Anyways, it is what it is, I guess. Maybe need to make the currently selected store a little more visible on the phone app, or a store confirmation screen that syncs with your current location? Because sometimes we forget to change the store when we are changing from work or home or our friend’s home...??

Go back to earlier versions. This was a very intuitive and pleasant app prior to the late 2019 update (other than the profile address updates, but I won’t get into that here). And I have seen many years of app versions... from the early prototypes, through the animated pizza topping feature, until the current one. And now you have to have prior failure knowledge of the new app in order to have a successful experience. In order to add any toppings to a pizza (which should be a rather common occurrence for users of this particular app) you need to make a very odd button selection that almost seems like a “would you like to add..?” button placement. Not a fan. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ended up at the checkout screen unintentionally and spent an extra 30 seconds to 2 mins trying to figure out how to cancel the ‘cheese pizza’ I accidentally ordered and redo the order process to actually add toppings. Papa, y’all are my favorite. This is a Simple fix. Let’s make it happen.

Just a few changes. First off, I regularly place my order and forget to include the tip. It would be awesome if you would enable a tip change after the fact like all of the other food ordering apps I use. I’d love to be able to tip the minimum and change it if the service warrants it. The other wish is for the dipping sauces that are included with the items have the option to change the quantity. I always have to go back to see what I’ve ordered to add the appropriate additional dipping sauces. One last super cool addition to your app would be to have the map actually show the location of the deliverer to have a better understanding of the delivery time and to help guide the driver in the event of a confusion of the location.

IMPRESSIVE!!!. I cannot thank these guys enough!! They make me smile for days after delivery!! Unfortunately, have been ill on and off for last few months (unclear why) and when I cannot get out ☹️ and need to keep my mood up😀 and craving pizza🍕?? These guys r who I call! I LOOOOOVE MY BATAVIA PAPA JOHNS! 💗💖💖💖💖💖💖 Contactless delivery: I don’t have to be concerned about getting or giving anyone illness. And the drivers follow instructions impeccably! Not to mention how fast they deliver! The Drivers will call, text or knock on my front door just to make sure I know they have been there and that the delivery has arrived. Even ask if there is anything else I need or forgot to order (from about 10-12’ away, Tku!!), they will be happy to bring it. How awesome is that!!!! And they are so polite! Drivers with manners? THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! Quality ingredients: what an improvement from the original establishment! SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN QUALITY OF INGREDIENTS USED!!! SOOOOO NOT NOT NOT original papa johns…. WAY BETTER NOW! Prices: with everything rising they are not priced out of the way. I order a lot so I can get at least 2-5 days and that makes me happy. Order from Batavia Papa Johns and you will not be disappointed! THANK YOU GUYS!!!! 💗💗💗💗💗

App. At the beginning on the app is asks for it to be carry out. Twice now I have selected it to be delivery and it automatically changes to carry out once the order is placed. The first time I waited a hour and a half to realize it switched to carry out. I then tried to change it to find out I would have to wait another 2 hours for my order. The manager said my card would be credited back with in 5 days and I would get my rewards added back. Neither one ever happened! The second time I caught it quickly and called in and changed it to delivery. I was told when I called in to remove the app and use the online when ordering in the future for promotions. App has improved. It asks to select delivery when you first go into the app now.

Map needs improvement and notes. SECOND EDIT: there needs to be an option to add requests or notes to an order. I’m tired of calling the store asking for pizza to be double cut and it not being double cut when received coz it doesn’t say that on the order slip. map/location needs to be highlighted when tapped on the icon to make clear which one it is. EDIT: It would be cool if y’all could add how many slices to cut a pizza or any additional notes to my order. I don’t want to call the store and bother them to tell them to cut it into 10 pieces instead of 8 or to tell them to include a fork with my order. I would like to just write it down when placing it through the app. Can y’all make it so that we know which store we’re choosing when selecting the carryout option? I’ve placed an order with the wrong store thinking it was the correct one but turns out it’s on the same street name just 20 minutes away. really frustrating for me and the employees.

App doesn’t appear to “plan ahead”. I love a good papa Johns Pizza. Often we go with other brands that are cheaper but warm and prepared for a quick dinner before all the after school and after work events begin. It’s important for our family to be able to enter orders in and schedule times to pick up later. Went to use the Papa Johns app today to order for a fundraiser my kids were excited about. Appears I can only place an order if the store I would pick up at is open. There is no visible option before I pay that allows me to set a date and time for pickup. Problem is I can’t pay either because I get an error saying “your selected store is currently closed. Please enter a plan ahead date and time.” So stuck in this loop of inability to complete my order. And now off to work for the busy day to begin. Guess I’ll order from the other guy since the app lets me.

Easy to use, BUT .... will rip you off so pay attention. This app is much easier to use than Domino’s app. It’s also not slow like others. However, it tries to rip you off so make sure you pay attention to the DEALS! This app does not automatically update your cart and March it with the current deals Papa John’s offers, and even though you have in your cart exactly what the deals state, TO GET THE DEAL YOU MUST ORDER FROM THE DEALS PAGE AND ADD TO YOUR CART THAT WAY, not from the original menu. In my opinion that’s a way to rip off customers as when I select items that you have a special for, why are you trying to charge me regular prices? So easy way to scam people that don’t pay attention. They should be throwing these deals at us considering the pizza is ridiculously expensive as is. The pizza is very good so I get it anyways. Their deals aren’t great like Domino’s though.

App review. Our orders have been wrong two times. We tried to use another store but you won’t let us because you say it’s out of our area. That doesn’t make sense because it’s actually closer, but that doesn’t matter. So, we started using Dominos. We decided to try again with Papa Johns and the last order, again, wrong. We ask for bacon and get Canadian bacon, which we hate. 🤢 Can you put something on the app so the store sees exactly what toppings and something to differentiate between bacon and Canadian bacon. We are giving it one more try tonight. We don’t complain because we live our lives to be thankful for everything, even something as small as ordering a pizza. However, you may lose a customer. Also, our last delivery guy was the best ever! That’s one reason we are giving it another shot. You may want to look into who that was. We haven’t received our order today. It would be the delivery guy for the order before today. Thank you!

Needs just one more thing. In general, the app is pretty easy to use. However, I have an allergy that means my pizza needs to be cut with a clean cutter to avoid cross-contamination, AND THERE IS CURRENTLY NO WAY TO SAY THIS FROM THE APP. So if I place my order by app for pizza points, I still have to call the store to make sure they handle my pizza safely for me. UPDATE: they listened, there is now a way to specify clean cutter via the app. Five stars! Although now I’d like to suggest a couple other tweaks - more characters in the “note for your driver” section, as we have a few specific delivery directions that always need to be compressed oddly given the current character limits. And the ability to use Papa Track even when the pizza is being delivered at a later time would also be nice.

Was better for a while, now bad again. I am a voiceover user, and I find the app to be mostly accessible, right up until you get to the order page. The accessibility of the order page has gone way down in recent versions. Trying to swipe navigate (it’s a screen reader thing), you keep getting stuck and can’t find parts of the order. Other places there are options you can select or unselect, but what those options are isn’t said, it’s just silent. So finding items on the order to remove or edit them is difficult or impossible, scheduling a delivery later can’t be done, and the whole process was so frustrating I just gave up on a multiple pizza order. I’ll use GrubHub or Uber eats and order from a restaurant that actually gives a crap.

Has abs go, this one is relatively user-friendly. I’m visually impaired, I have low vision, but once I get to know an app, I can navigate with relative ease. Though I tend to get the same items repeatedly, sometimes I will be adventurous and try something new, and it’s easy to do that on this app and use promo codes, use my Pappadeaux etc. The only reason I deducted a star from this is we don’t get an estimated delivery time until the very end. It would be useful to know in advance if the deliveries gonna take 20 minutes or an hour and a half so we can make plans; usually it’s no problem but if a friend is coming to visit, for example and will arrive in 40 minutes, and I place an order and it arrives in 20 minutes… You get the jest. I really hope Papa John’s reads this and makes changes soon.

Scott. The App works great, but there needs to be a cancel order in case the local store is extremely late. A few months ago I ordered 6 pizzas for a party. I placed the order at 1:30pm that afternoon for a 7pm delivery that evening. At 7:30 the pizza was not delivered. I never received a call and when Tried to call the local store filling the order but kept getting a busy signal or a hold loop. I even went on Papa John Website and did a chat. The rep. Gave the status of the order as baking. By this time it was 9pm and people were leaving the party to get alternative food. I asked to cancel the order but the chat rep said we would need to contact the local store. Which was the problem in the first place. The pizza was delivered after 10pm to which I declined the order.

Oh yeahhhhhhh Pizza, Pizza!. I really like what Papa John’s does, the fine men and women at this establishment are great. I can’t get enough of their pizza! It always touches me and makes me happy to receive a large fresh pie. I would like to personally thank each and every person who helps in making my pizza experience a great one. I only wish I had more money so that I could get more pizza! Due to the fact that money does not grow on trees (haha), I will spend what money I do have, after my living expenses, on some GREAT pizza! I can’t get enough I say! The pizza that is made from the halls of heaven couldn’t be this good. The deals I get from spending money on pizza allow me to get more pizza, which I can’t get enough of! Papa Johns does it right, and they have great pizza too! Whoooooo hooooo, I’m on my way to get more pizza! Got to go!

Works well and easy to use with one glaring problem. I like this app. It's easy, functional and doesn't crash. I appreciate the simplicity and easy navigation of the menu. I also appreciate the add promo feature so I can use local coupon codes. The only problem I have is that the driver instruction line severely limits how many characters you can use. My community isn't easy to get into and I always have to give the drivers extra instructions or they get lost or stuck. Also sometimes I don't want them to ring the bell (lest they wake the baby) and I'd like to be able to tell them all this in app, so I don't have to call the store every single time. It negates the purpose of the convenience of using the app. Give me more characters and I'll give you five stars.
