No back button?. The "Help" menu says there is a back button to return to the previous step, but this is untrue; sometimes the back button appears, but many times it does not. For instance, from the HOME screen, when I searched for and then clicked on TUNA, raw and OLIVES, ESP. GREEN, no back button appeared. GLITCH!!! Also, the magnified version is very blurry. App Maker: Give us a back button that works all the time! Make it bigger! If these corrections are made, this would be an excellent app!

Most useful reference for food and wine pairings. I've used this book at home on a daily basis, and am now enjoying the flexibility to refer to it from restaurants, wine shops, and food markets. If you drink and eat at the same time and care about maximizing the experience, this book and app are brilliant.

My favorite wine pairing book is now an App!. This book has stayed near my dining room table for several years, and has been gifted to friends and family members on several occasions. I was delighted, after receiving the gift of an iPhone, to find the app here. In short, it functions well and is loaded with informative pairings. While these are weighted towards wine pairings, there are also pairings for coffee, tea, water and whisky. Of all the wine apps I have tried (on this phone, but also several years of itouch use), this is the only app I continue to use. Highly recommended!

Yay!. I love the book, and I was hoping an app would be made. Interface seems a bit primitive, but the info the app provides is worth it!

Update. Please update the app, so it can work with new version of iOS.

Won’t Work with Latest iOS. Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT download this app. Just look at the Version History and you will see that the app hasn’t been updated in YEARS! Now with the latest iPhone update, the darn thing won’t even open up. It’s crap.

Needs to be updated flor this decade’s phones. It’s based on an excellent book but is now useless because the developer has abandoned it. Does not work with current version of iOS.

So useful!. Grabbed this in advance of a holiday party to guide my wine and beer buying choices, it was fabulous. Very easy to navigate and read. I love how they include plenty of non-alcoholic options, too.

Excellent App. Finally, an app that is just as great as their book!

This app has potential!. 1) Navigationally, I’d like to have the app go back to the specific food or wine I was searching and left off from rather than returning o the start of the alphabetized food or wine list. 2) It would be so helpful to have some tasting notes under each drink. In other words, body, acidity, sweetness, tannins, etc. Keep up the good work!

PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP FOR iOS 14.5!!!. I have had this app for a few years. From time to time I’ll try a new one out. I invariably find it nowhere near as good as this one. This is simple, but the best one out there. UPDATE 6/2/2021: I HAVE YET TO SEE AN UPDATE SO I CAN USE THE APP. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!!

A good start. I love the book! This app is a good start but I find it a bit clunky, constantly having to go back to search. The search field should be locked. If I'm in a food item I should be able to search in that item or the whole app without having to go back each time. I'd LOVE to see an iPad version bc the iBook is very slow for searching.

No longer functional. The app needs updated, it no longer functions on IPhones. The last version was put out 7 years….. too bad I thought it was really good.
