💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

it's good but could be better. You should really be able to see past orders on the app and not just on the website. I'd like a wishlist feature to save particular items to a project list so I can keep track of the specific fabric I might want to get without having to find it again or take a screenshot on my phone. Maybe come up with a better old version of the app for people with pre-iOS7 because I know people who are getting the smiles rewards but have no way of seeing them cuz their app is unable to update. Also either state plainly on the rewards that they don't work with other coupons/doorbusters or just let them work because it's confusing for those who aren't well versed in the fine print. Plus it's a reward for spending money at your business. I think the people have earned it and it'll entice more people to get the app if they don't already.

Thanks. I like the coupons both online and in the mail. I would certainly understand if the ones in the mail would be eliminated, but hope not. Initially I was using the ones on my phone, and I asked the cashier which ones I could use and she said she didn’t know and did not even try to help me. I have two stores that I can go to. I went to the one I use more frequently and the cashiers will try them to see if they are valid. I very much appreciate that. Younkers is another store that helps the customer with their coupons and they have been helping me all the time. It is very much appreciated. The reason I bring that up is that is one of main reasons why I shop there, and hope that Joann’s follows that trend and tries to help the customer. Thanks Joann’s.

FIX YOUR APP. More problems with this app than I can count. I don’t understand all the positive ratings and reviews. The search engine is terrible. There is no way to filter what’s available in your store. If you try it still shows you out of stock items. You can’t favorite things in the app, only on the website, and there’s no way to access your favorites from the app. When you try to select a color of thread or fabric from choices, there’s a glitch where the choices disappear. Just now I filled my cart with items in the app, try to check out, and it says there’s an issue with processing my payment. But not what the issue is. This is with my card that is stored in the app. I back out and try again. This time I thinks I’m a robot. Once I get through the captcha, everything in my cart is gone. As I have done SO MANY TIMES I end up getting off the app and using the desktop browser. The only good thing about the app is that they finally integrated curbside pickup - and miraculously, that works well.

Yuba city store. Service always great especially in fabric. Store is neat clean and always stocked. Since it is really the only place in town to get fabric it would be nice if the store was larger and similar to the Sacramento stores otherwise we end up having to drive 60-90 minutes to get to Sacramento My only other complaint would be not extending holiday hours past dec 7th. Sitting in car waiting for store to open and watch at least a dozen customers turn at and drive off within a 30 minute period thinking store opened at 9:00 am. This is crunch time for crafters, and a rural community to boot where people are used to coming to town early to run errands and get back home. I drive nearly 45 minutes one way to get to town so I have to set aside at least 90 minutes of wasted time for driving and during the holidays every minute counts. Just a suggestion . Thank you

Fantastic!. I am notorious for my brainstorms and get most of them whenever I go into JoAnn’s for “just a quick minute”. Every staff person in the New Hartford, NY store is great at unknowingly feeding by brainstorms. Just one example: my idea was for an infinity scarf; had the material planned but no idea how to make it. I asked the gal at the material cutting counter if there were any patterns for the scarf aside from online and she simply told me how she makes hers. She also assisted me in finding absolutely perfect material for the scarf I then decided I wanted to make for my niece. This is only one example but this whole staff is what makes this my favorite store and it is 24 miles from my home! Online is nice but not as friendly! Thank you too for your discount to this retired US Air Force wife.

I never write app reviews. I never write app reviews but the Joann’s app is just THAT bad. First of all, the item scanner is super glitchy and does not work. Every time I go to scan an item it says the item cannot be found. But if I dig around the website for a bit I will find the item. So it’s not that the item isn’t in their database or isn’t available, it’s just that their system is glitchy. And this is extremely inconvenient because items are always on sale in Joanns so the real price is rarely every the sticker price. Also, the app gets super glitchy in store. Idk what it is about Joanns stores but they cause the app to run slow. I will literally walk outside and boom it’ll start working again. I have a conspiracy theory that it glitches in stores to prevent you from using coupons or rewards but thats just my 2 cents. In all, Joanns, you need to seriously fix this app. In an era where brick and mortar sales are plummeting, this should be a top priority to keep customers coming back!

Terrible. First off. You have to download the app to report a problem. You can only contact them through email on the app if you have a problem and some of the links don’t work within the app. If you press one it will take you out. I ordered glass candle holders from them. The first order took forever to ship out, then While at the warehouse the package was damaged and sent back by FedEx. They refunded me the money and I had to order again. This time I had to pay more because they raised the price. Which was unfair! I added two more to the order. They reshipped the order 7/17 items were broken. Some shattered. 2 of those weren’t wrapped at all, 4 poorly wrapped and the other one broken in the wrapper. This was supposed to be for my wedding. Which I cannot use now. I would never order anything online from them again not even if it’s to ship it to the store. I just want my money back.

Worst app ever!!. I have been a JoAnn shopper for decades and started utilizing the app in the last couple of years. I have placed orders, had them confirmed and received an email the next day that the full order had been cancelled as unavailable ( all of the items). I search again and everything shows as available!!! There have been too many instances to document. I wish there was someone else to buy from carrying the things I use. Today I am most frustrated with my attempt to purchase online for pickup. I have 18 items in my cart that all show as available in the store. I went to checkout and confirmed payment. I hit the review button and everything in my cart disappeared. I go back to try to add the items again and the cart populated with 18 items, I try to purchase and it goes back to zero! So now, not only am I not able to purchase, but I can’t do anything with the cart. I wait an hour and try again, same thing. For a business with stores Nationwide, it would be nice if it had a functional website. I can’t count the number of hours I’ve spent trying to nurse an order out of it. Worst website/app I have ever used!

Joann’s is my favorite store. The app not so much. I probably use the Joann’s app at least 2 times a week. As soon as I see a product or learn a technique from you tube I turn to Joann’s shopping for the item. The 2 things I dislike the most. I can’t pay for my items through the app. Even though I may have already signed into my account the app makes me sign in again but will buffer and buffer not allowing me to get into my account to pay. Because the app is such a convenient way to search for sale items or products I want. I shop in the app but have to log into my laptop search for the item numbers for the chosen product then pay for the items on my laptop. Additionally, I’ve come to expect long hold/wait times when calling Joann’s customer service. The other annoyance for me is you can’t use many coupons when shopping online example the money off coupons when you spend an amount excludes Joann’s online orders. When so many items can only be purchased online. I think that is very unfair to your online customers.

Awful App. I have walked away from my computer several times and bought nothing because I was so frustrated with the app and accessing the website on a PC is not any better. It won’t give you a quick preview of the item description. If you click on the item to see more details and then hit “continue shopping” it takes you back to the home page rather than back to where you left off. If you had narrowed a search for a specific group of products you have to re-enter the search terms all over again. When you actually click on something with an intent to purchase you really need to double check what the app put in your cart. I ordered one can of spray adhesive and got 7 cans shipped to me. I took them back to the store and they would only give me store credit which the app apparently doesn’t recognize. When you call customer service regarding an issue with a refund, they give you a long recorded diatribe and then hang up on you or ask you to leave a message and don’t return your call. I have been a loyal Joann customer for decades. The sales have always been great but this new level of inattention to customer service makes me not want to shop at Joann. It takes me no less than two hours to struggle with the app to place a moderate sized order.

Ok but slow. I was excited but the app runs slow in my iPad, other apps don’t so I’m guessing it’s the app. Trying to buy many things and needing to be able to edit the cart is cumbersome. Ex, paper on a door buster is 10 for $2. At the store they all ring up as 20 cents but in the app I had to get in lots of 10 to get the price. I kept changing quantities to try to get there. It took so long I abandoned the effort. So the sale, which had many large cost items, was abandoned. At least it saved me money. Came back after the sale and now I have many different papers to remove from my cart, one by stinking one, slowly. An edit button and then being able to select all of them then remove in one removal would have been great. Did I buy the $60 worth of other items? No because I missed out on a shipping deal and was just frustrated. I’d rather have gone to the store but with COVID and at risk folks at home that’s not an option

Best crafting store in Las Vegas. Sometimes there are lines to wait in and this is Las Vegas so lines are a normal part of everyday life. But, the long line at Joann’s with crafters and quilters snapping up the latest deals flows effortlessly and before you know it your back home. You’ll actually see three or four checkers working instead of the 8-10 empty check lines that Hobby Lobby shows off unattended. The sales people are always friendly and helpful. The seasonally stocked items are already on sale and easily fun and unique projects seem too good to pass up. Sure there are a couple of competitors in town but you’ll be happy with the enhanced fabric choices and books with ideas and actual classes you can take learn and make things in. The others can’t be compared. When did you last take a class at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Their classrooms are always empty. I support the Best of the West location at Rainbow and Lake Mead. Thanks guys and gals you’re the best of the best.

Easy to use & to find coupons that you can use while in store. I love being able to look through the app for sales &/or coupons on items that are for the items that I need to get quickly &/or items that I’ve had on my wishlist but for one reason or another I hadn’t or couldn’t buy before so I know if getting those new items. So it helps me figure out what items I need to look at as well as the other objects I have had interest in &/or had wanted to buy for a while. By being able to look through the various coupons & what items are on sale before I make my run to the few craft stores in the area I shop in I’m able to figure out if I should stop first at JoAnn’s or not. (Which I usually end up doing anyway 😉)

Your app’s cart has been difficult. I love being able to pick up my online order at the store, but lately it has been difficult to remove items from the cart as it continued to show the items I removed still remained in the cart. I thought maybe if I just continued shopping/adding/editing the cart it would eventually correct itself, but no! As I tried to check out the cart just continued to add up and up! I deleted app then redownloaded the app several times, but the cart stayed the same. The same problem persisted. I eventually had to go into the store, and try make my purchases in person. I tried to tell the cashier this, as I was trying to express to her that I was trying to shop online because the price of an item I wanted was $5 less online than it was at the store and I wanted to use the 15% off entire purchase coupon as well which I understood was for online purchases. But I could not use the online price nor the coupon bc the cashier insisted they were exclusive online price and coupons. She did not seem to want to work with me and understand that I could not do my purchase online, so I left without my any of my craft supplies. And now there is a 25% off shop online pick curbside coupon that once again I cannot use! My phone setting is at automatic update software and so is my App Store. It is not my phone’s fault. It’s your app!! Joann’s please fix your app!!!

Happy to have Joann Fabrics. Fabric retailers have left our area in recent years. In past years I could purchase fabric by the yard at my local dime store. Both are no longer. I am very thankful to have an exclusive retail fabric store nearby. Seeing fabric, touching it helps me envision the project I am working on. I have ordered fabric sight unseen on the internet reading the description. However half the time I am surprised that either the description or photo did not look the same as pictured or described. It is important to see the fabric in person. I love to sew. Joann is the last of the fabric retailers in my area. Joann offers a nice selection on fabrics be it home decor, costume, fleece, clothing. Joann also has a good selection of books, buttons, notions and crafts. I will be a customer as long as I can get to a Joann’s store.

Leaves much to be desired!. The app is really not user friendly. When searching for something specific, either nothing comes up or 100’s of items come up which may or may not include what I’m looking for. Searches load so slowly and on some items, you get only partial pictures of the object! Letting the consumer use landscape instead of portrait might actually fix this! Every time I have a $$’s off coupon for spending X amount of money at JoAnns, it disappears from my phone app when I walk into the store. I refuse to use the free JoAnns WiFi because even stranger things happen to my iPhone and the coupons in the app, so I stay on my cell signal. Now, I waste ink and print off the coupon or just ignore the coupon. It’s only good for a few days anyway! I was hopeful that when I updated the JoAnns app that it would finally allow it to go to landscape. No, it doesn’t. Why not? It’s a simple thing! For iPad or tablet app users, wouldn’t it be nice to give us a choice? I rarely shop at JoAnns anymore. Usually it’s a must have trip to the store. And I won’t go if I don’t have a coupon. You’re pricing yourself out of the fabrics and notions market. I’d much rather shop at a locally owned fabric/quilt shop if I’m paying the same prices for quality fabric that I pay at JoAnns for slightly less quality in some cases!

Virtually unusable. I own a small business and usually buy most of my supplies in person from Joanns. I recently moved somewhere I cannot easily run to the store, so I’ve tried multiple times to order things from the Joanns app. Almost every time my order will say it was confirmed only to later receive an email stating I “did not pass their verification process” and that my order was cancelled. Sometimes Joanns charges my card three or four times only to refund each one. This has happened both for shipped orders and store pick up orders. Unfortunately now it has happened again, this time I tried four or five time to place my order through the app, only to have my partner try to place it from their desktop website. All of these attempts were met with “there’s an error with your address”, “there’s an error with your card information”, and finally “we could not process your order because you did not pass our verification process”. Not that my business makes or breaks the company, obviously, but I will not be shopping with Joanns again. It’s not worth the hassle.

Item availability. I enjoy the app and frequently use it to compare prices between Joann’s, Michael’s and Hobby Lobby. Out of the 3 apps, the frustrating aspect of the Joann’s app vs. the other 2 store apps I utilize is that the stock shown available at my local Joann’s via the app, has NEVER, not even once, been accurate. I’ve gotten use to the inconvenience and have tried to call my local store with the item numbers of the items I’m looking for but I’ve also stopped doing that now; after having experienced 2 rude phone conversations when I was attempting to see if the items were available in store. I was told by an evening store manager that the app doesn’t update as items are sold in store and does not reflect what is actually available. I recommend removing that feature since it doesn’t work as intended. Thank you. Amanda

Coupon Scams. I received through the app a coupon to get tulle for 89 cents a yard. I am preparing for a wedding so this was great since I needed 36 yards of tulle. When I get there and try to use the coupon it would not work because it was only good on regular price tulle. Joann had all the tulle on sale the same time as they put out the coupon. The coupon was only good for 3 days, the same days the tulle is on sale so the coupon is useless. Why would they send out a coupon on an item that is only good when it’s regular price then put that same item on sale? This is just short of being a bait and switch scam. When they told me why I couldn’t use it I asked why would you put all the tulle on sale and then offer this coupon knowing it could not be used. I am so disappointed in Joann Fabric and that they would deceive the customer like this. The only good thing I will say is that one of the employees called corporate and talked them into giving me another coupon but it still did not get the fabric to 89 cents like advertised.

Your app needs HELP. Please, I love shopping at JOANN’s but your app makes it so difficult. I love the shop to the store option, I don’t love wondering if you even got my order because your order tab doesn’t work, sometimes I get an email saying that you have received my order but wait until I get another email to pick up that never comes. I love the fact that I can check other nearby Joann’s for products my local store is out of. I hate the fact that it takes forever, and sometimes not all to change my orders to all one store for me to pick up instead of driving a 30 mile circle to pick up 3 orders that when actuality one store had all my wants in their store. I love being able to look at a whole line of fabric in one list. I don’t love having the page return to top of the page every time I order something. Please make me love the whole experience of shopping on line with JOANN.

Terrible experience. Was told to download the app at my local store. But the app didn’t work right away. Then the next time I was in the store I scanned it to start the smiles program. A few days later I got an email saying I had $5 to spend from my smiles program. The next time I tried to use it the coupons wouldn’t load. I showed the broken app to the clerk and she honored the coupon that wouldn’t appear. Today the coupons wouldn’t load again. The clerk told me to uninstall the app and reinstall. Which I did. And it told me to wait several days for the smiles. So no coupons. But I remembered my email saying I had $5 from the smiles program. But when the clerk scanned my phone it wouldn’t take the $5. I’m sure it’s because the clerk told me to uninstall the program and the app was still trying build my smiles program. The clerk didn’t know why it wouldn’t work. She told the app was supped to be available right away. Well I’ve uninstalled it. No smiles here.

This app is a complete disappointment and frustration. Still even more disappointed. I’m adding to my previous review. Although I don’t know why... No one even bothers to respond to these reviews! It is really rare that I’ve seen a response from someone who addresses an issue. I was hoping for help to address my problem. Don’t bother with this glitchy app. I’m super sad because I love the store and I live 40 min to the closest one. I was hoping to be able to buy from as well as use coupons from their app. What a complete disappointment. Previous review from October 2020: All kinds of bugs. Even after being updated in a timely manner. I already have an account, but this app wouldn't let me use my current account. I was in a loop of not working pages over and over again to try and complete the process. So, I figured I would just create a new account. Same. Stupid. Problem. Endless loop of continual pages that don’t complete the process or crash the app. I really like to shop Joann’s and would rather use the phone coupons. I guess that’s not an option for me. I have a current phone and keep it updated in a timely manner. I am super disappointed in this app. The main reason I wanted to use it is for the coupons. I live a far distance from the actual store and a lot of times my coupons expire before I can get there. Which is why I thought the app would be a great thing for me. Guess not.

So many good things in Jo-Ann app and a major bug. I mostly really like this app, in some cases even better than the website. I love that when shopping for yarn or embroidery floss, I get a drop down with color name/number. That’s tons easier than clicking on every swatch to see if the name/number matches what I need. But in the last two days, I’ve had the entire 23 item shopping cart empty out on me between entering the items in and trying to check out. I estimate that it equates to 2 hours of my weekend being gone. Also, second time, clicking through to checkout, I couldn’t complete the checkout because it wouldn’t recognize my previously saved address as in appropriate format - for in store purchase, using a previously used and saved credit card. Trying to complete the purchase of that attempt in the browser likely wiped the cart too. I’m exhausted.

The online purchase experience is poor, esp with the app. I bought a set of markers for Christmas, and when I put them in my cart it told me ships in 2 days or something. When I purchased it, it didn’t even show up in purchases. I had to then email them when the item never arrived. They gave me a link to my purchased item, and it said back ordered. When I asked them to cancel the order they said they can’t cancel orders! What??? This is so weird. You can buy it with poor information but can’t cancel it in the app. I had to escalate the issue then finally they canceled it. It took more than a week for my refund and the whole thing was loaded with confusion through the whole process. The issue is beyond the app - they need a user experience audit and take a look at the entire purchasing journey through the app. They need more up to date info on the item page. Waaaaay more info generally on the fabric you’re looking at. I can’t buy synthetics and that’s mostly what they have. It would be great if they had details about what the fabric feels like, drapes like, stretch, etc. And allow people to cancel orders they no longer need, or that won’t arrive in time. It should tell be so painful. It kind of feels like a trap if you can’t undo something you did not knowing any better. This is coming from a user experience designer.

Using Joann’s to make creative life the best. I started collecting beads about 2years ago in order to make ornament covers! What I was using to contain them was small paper cups!! Very bad idea! True confession: I have always been a real CLUTZ! Needless to say I was constantly knocking the cup around & having to waste my valuable time by resorting them again & again!! OMG! I am never going to confess how many times this happened! My husband finally watched me resorting the beads over & over & asked if there was a way to store them that would prevent me from having to resort them! Yep! Joann’s ales has just what anyone needs & obviously someone else had gone thru this time wasting procedure & the bread containers were invented! I watched for sales & bought all the ones I would ever need! Do I still drop the beads? Yep! But now I only have to reach down & pick up the secure containers!! Thank to Jonann’s!!

I love this app, but 1 little hiccup. I love the app, it works perfectly on my iPhone 8. It shows me the balance on hand of items they have in the store so I can make sure they have the items I want before I stop in. (Which as been accurate every time except once, but I was told the item I was looking for was still being unloaded from their shipment and to come back in a few days) My only critique are the Joann smile reward coupons, I had a $10 off a $10 purchase and as soon as I saw it I ran to Joann’s to stock up on some art supplies, used my coupon and everything went smoothly. A few days later I check my app again and I had another $10 off a $10 purchase! I headed to Joann’s and grabbed some more art supplies! I pulled up my coupon at checkout and the cashier told me my coupon had already been redeemed. The way she talked to me made me feel like I was trying to do something seedy. I wasn’t trying to pull one over on the cashier, I just thought after I used my coupon the first time it would have dropped out of my phone, I mean it had been several days. Other then that super awkward interaction, I’m a huge fan. 🤗

Review is about app, not the store itself. This app crashes constantly. I can’t even get through the process of selecting a product after comparing a few. I have to keep starting over because it crashes. My phone isn’t old and my app is updated, so this is really unexpected and annoying. It essentially renders the app unusable. In addition to the crashing, the filters don’t work. If I filter out products only available in-store, I don’t expect to see them in my search results. And sorting by price is nearly as useless. I should be able to view only the items that are available for shipping— and in order from lowest to highest price. This is very basic stuff. Since covid is devouring my community, I’m not going to shop in-person. And unfortunately most of the items I want to buy aren’t available for curbside pickup either. If I run out of patience with the app, I just won’t buy the products. We are nearly 2 years into this pandemic, so it’s inexcusable for a big company like Joann’s to still have an app that cannot do well with the most basic elements of online shopping.

Checkout and Cart are Glitchy. Browsing on the app works just fine although I have noticed discrepancies in inventory for stores on the app vs the website (some items will come up as not available at all near me but the app will say there are some available for pick up in the store). Coupon codes do not always work 100% in the app even if you meet criteria it still might give you a message saying that it doesn’t work (ex: 20% off in store pick up and even when all the items are available for in store pick up it doesn’t apply the discount). The biggest gripe I have with the app at the moment is the fact that even though I am signed in already when I go to checkout it still asks me to sign in or continue as a guest. This would be fine if I could just sign into my account but after entering my credentials and pressing continue it just loops on a loading screen and never continues. The only way I could check out was as a guest and I really don’t want to have to do that every time.

Only small issues. I love this app! The only area of improvement would be the scanning. It never works for me and I end up having to take my two year old through the store to the scanners, but that’s not a big deal. The other thing I’d consider is the wording on the smile coupon terms. I was so excited to earn my $10 off of $10 coupon. When I went to the store to get embroidery supplies with it, the cashier told me the register wouldn’t take the coupon unless I had $20 worth of items. I thought it was $10 off of a $10 or more purchase. It was the day before payday so I didn’t have enough money with me to pay an extra $10 to use the coupon. Luckily my boyfriend was there and was nice enough to cover it for me, but it was still very embarrassing for me to have him pay and to have to get out of a full line to go get $20 worth of stuff and get back in a full line again.

Great but where is the PayPal. I use this app all the time and wanted to give y’all a heads up on some things that would help improve my shopping experience. Well one I would really like to use my PayPal. I know y’all are working on it but I get annoyed logging in again on safari or my computer just to checkout since I use PayPal credit when I need to. Another thing is that it would be helpful to show the colors of the fabrics that are out of stock all together. I run a small business making pillows and had sent a photo of a list of fabric that I buy to a customer and found out that the fabric color she wanted was out of stock and nearly the entire set was out of stock. So then I had to find another similar fabric and similar colors. So maybe add color match program. Hope everything works out. Thank y’all for such a wonderful store!

Buggy. I had the latest version of the IOS Joann application installed on my iPhone 13 Pro running ios 16.3.1. I clicked on an email link, it opened in Chrome (my default browser), then asked if I wanted to allow Chrome to open the application Joanne. Allowed the Joanne app to load, and that was fine. Browsed around in the app on the President's day sale. Then I tried to do something else with my phone, and it wouldn't let me quit from the application. When I swiped up from the bottom to see a list of running applications, the Joann's app would show up at the top of the stack, and then steal the focus back. I could never switch to another app or go to the main window of my phone. After doing this for a few minutes, the phone starting getting warmer. I then did a forced reboot of the phone (up volume, down volume, then power button), and uninstalled the application. Not going to install the app again, just not worth it!

Frustrating to use. Needs improvement.. This app is okay. It’s basic at the most. What I really dislike is when I click on the “shop Joann” button, it gets super glitchy when I try to search for an item. I have to click on the dang “enter your search” box 4-5 times in order for it to actually click on it. On the first few tries, clicking on it brings up a text box for you to type in whatever you’re looking for, but it disappears back to the main page when I try typing. What the heck?? Sometimes I just give up and go on my regular web browser. All the app is good for is coupons probably. I would also appreciate it if they could update the pages in a more timely manner. The coupons and deals often expire at 11:59 PM EST so why am I still seeing them when I obviously can’t use it after? I’m on PST time so they might be waiting for midnight my time to roll things over. However, this is confusing to customers and frustrating when I want to see the new deals or coupons.

Online Ordering Needs Work. I loved using this app to check what was in stock at the store which was great, but today I tried the online ordering through the app and it was horrible. I placed the order today to be shipped to my house. I then check my email to get notifications that many of the items I ordered are out of stock. Then I got emails saying my order was ready for pick up in Texas and another email saying Utah. I’m very frustrated because I can’t cancel the order. I did not place the order for store pick up I placed it to be shipped. I also have my store set and live no where near either states. I’m very frustrated and disappointed with the unfulfilled order. Update I called customer service they can’t cancel my order, they are charging me double of what I paid, and are not helping what so ever. Quite frankly they were not the nicest and provided me with no solution besides waiting 3-5 days to potentially be refund the double charge. I am so frustrated because I simply wanted these items shipped to my house. They are showing up in 3 different states ready for pick up.

It’s OK. I got this app because I thought it might be easier to always be signed in. There’s a few things I don’t like about it: #1 Ever since the new update, it won’t let me open my cart. It just goes into a loading screen that never ends. #2 Sometimes searching keywords is really not helpful. I searched “fabric marker” and barely anything came up. Yet while browsing idly, I found what I was looking for. #3 If you’re scrolling on a page and click a separate tab, it entirely resets you. So all that scrolling? Guess what, you have to do it ALL OVER AGAIN to get back to where you were! This is really something I think could be helped if there were separate pages and page number. Then you’ll know where you were and it’ll be less of a hassle. Half the time, I just give up on what I’m looking for because it reset me and I don’t want to press the ‘see more’ button twenty times to find it again. For context, I have a fully updated iPhone that’s almost brand new, WiFi, plenty of gb space, and have tried closing the app, restarting my phone, closing everything and opening the app back up but nope- the annoying issues remain. The most annoying at the moment is that I cannot see my cart.

Aisle Numbers?. This isn’t a bad app but I can only rate it 3 stars because there are no aisle numbers listed for the products. I thought since no aisle numbers were on the website, I might be able to find them by registering for the app. Michael’s lists the aisle for products in the individual store locations the customer is shopping at. What is the point of the Joann App allowing me to make a shopping list for my visit and not telling me where the item is in the store? It isn’t easy to find an available employee to ask where something is in most stores. By the time you find someone, you could have been done with your shopping if the aisle were listed for products. Please add this feature to your app and I would be glad to give it 5 stars.

1 problem with the app. I use the app FREQUENTLY especially the scanner portion of the app when I am in the store doing price checks. I have often been confused upon arriving at the register when my total does not add up to what I totaled while shopping. Finally a manager told me when you scan items in the store for price verification it gives you the online price not the in store price. I think that is ridiculous and confusing to customers. I am a super crafter and I am in my Joann’s at least two times a week. I try to stay on a budget. If there are not price checker machines in the store and customers are advised to use the app scanner.... it should be accurate or the stores should honor the scanner price. The register price is always more than what the app scanner states. Please find a way to correct that. Maybe when you scan an item it gives you the in store price not the online discounted price. Or have the stores price match the online prices if customers can show the cashier the price difference on the app (although this will hold up the line). Thank you !

shopping on this app is a nightmare. I shop at Joann’s frequently, it’s my go to crafting store. But oh boy, both the app and website are borderline unusable. The app crashes approximately every 5-10 minutes, if not more. It’s also unbelievably slow. I have attempted to check out this one order 3 times now and every time it has either crashed, said there was an error in their system, or that I have to restart the check out process for “security reasons”. This last time, it also completely deleted everything in my cart. I am buying THREE items and it has taken 30 minutes just to get them in my cart and try to check out and now I have to restart the process. Since I can’t shop in store these days, I legitimately dread buying anything from Joann’s with the knowledge that I will have to fight 1v1 with the app or website to purchase anything. They are actively dissuading me from giving them my money. Somehow, the app has actually gotten worse and buggier through the last couple of years. Like I said, it’s a nightmare to use and the website is no better.

Doesn’t always work. I recently downloaded the app and have used it several times. The last time I wanted to place an huge order of 25 plus items. The app would take forever it I added more items. I would hit another tab on the app and then my items disappeared. I was so disappointed I just gave up. I figured maybe the system was being updated or something since it was late at night. Or could’ve been too many people were placing orders since it was the Joanniversary sale. The next day I tried again and the same thing. My items were deleted from the cart. I jumped on my laptop and thankfully ALL the items were still in my cart, some even had more than one because I tried adding the items after I thought the items were deleted. My only other pet peeve is the view of the items in the cart. Too much wording in between items. Takes forever to look through your items.

Very Irritating - Has a lot of Potential. I was sooo excited for this app when I saw it on Joanns site. I thought it’d be a much simpler more connected experience than the site itself. I loved seeing a bunch of ideas and easy access to coupons. But I really struggled for a moment to find the shopping option - the part I was excited about. The app legit just loads the websites page. This makes the app irrelevant. The key to making this app popular is too provide a simpler shopping experience for users to use. On the homepage should be coupons, deals - stuff that’s going to drive your sales up. Below that or next to it on the tool bar should be ideas and that sort of thing. But let’s be honest most of us probably have Pinterest already. Also, the app itself is beautiful. I love the simplicity of it. Just please make it an actual shopping app that’s targeted at helping your shoppers! Lots of potential.

Useless for in-store shopping.. This app could be great. And for those who shop almost exclusively online, it is great, I’m sure. I wouldn’t know. But for those of us who go into the store this thing is useless. For starters Joann fabrics has decided to just keep raising their prices, while keeping all of their yarns on long low-percentage -off sales, which leave the prices still higher than pretty much everywhere else for yarn. This means that the coupons this app provides are useless. And to make matters worse: the built-in barcode scanner that the app has, so you can check prices? Yeah that’s only for online prices. It doesn’t actually show you the in-store price of an item. So if that item is on sale, it will not tell you, so you won’t be able to tell whether or not you can use a coupon or that item. And when you bring this up to the company itself, they say, “oh that scanner only shows our online prices. It won’t necessarily reflect the in-store price of anything.“ And forget about looking at the weekly sales flyer inside the app to check, because it doesn’t show everything that’s on sale. This. App. Is. Useless. If I could give it negative stars I would, because frankly I’m getting tired of this company, its terrible sales, and especially its useless coupons.

Old reviews list problems still same. I just read several old comments from 1-2 years ago. I’ve experienced them over the COVID months 2020. I select a category of fabric and each and every time I pick a fabric color/print and want look at another I’m back at the beginning. WASTE OFMY TIME. The other thing about your app is passing it off as an iPad app, NOT. I prefer my iPad (in it’s case with the physical keyboard) horizontal to use it. Your app is LOCKED vertical. Now let’s talk about one of today’s daily ads. Lion brands 1 ball to make a project. Click yarn, click brand, click color & a list of 1/2inch pix comes up with a color name. Click color a “little” larger pic to see the jade, click back to check another color ,we’ll we’re back home. Click click c..........select another color to see how different from the 1st hmmm pic is same as 1st choice ?? But different name I tried another color (looked blackish totally unlike 1st, repeat all the yayayastuff 3rd pic same as first but name corresponded to my 3rd selection. Now if I’m looking for yarn with jade & all the green/blue yarn along with ALL of the colors in the 1ball makes a project pop up as the same color would you gamble on it or shop elsewhere?

App won’t let me check out, keeps deleting my cart. I thought this app was great until I had about 25 items in my cart and went to check out. It lets me put in all my information and then crashes and deletes my cart when I try to place order. When I try to add things to my cart it will tell me that I have 23 items on my cart but then when I click on my cart it’s empty. Eventually after I have added stuff back in to my cart the originals reappear and the app tells me I can’t check out because of the duplicate items however it will not let me delete anything. I have gotten to check out at least three times and had the app crash and delete my cart each time after telling me I have a gift card to cover the entire balance when I have not entered any gift card info. I especially dissatisfied because I’m trying to use a 25% off online order coupon that expires today so I will have to go into store and spend an extra $40 since the app won’t work. I’ve tried closing the app, logging out and back in again, and deleting and redownloading the app and am still receiving the same results. I would not recommend this app and if there was anywhere else for me to shop I would not be shopping at joannes for my supplies.

Frustrating at times. Searching the app is not easy, it seems that you need to be pretty specific to search something. Easy to add items to cart but only one coupon can be used per order which doesn’t make sense since at the store you can use multiple coupons that are related to different items. Also when checking out I was unable to add my address to check out and had to call in and replace my order over the phone which was very time consuming. Also the prices the rep was pulling up were different than the prices on line which was very frustrating. He ended up taking $10 off my order to make up for some of the difference but I still paid a few dollars more this way than I would have on the app.

Needs to have consistent functions with the website + better filtering results. this app’s features aren't really consistent with the website. i like using the favorite feature so i can view what fabrics caught my eye in the past, but i can’t view them in the app, nor can i favorite new things. i can only “save for later” in the app, but i can’t access what i saved if i’m viewing on browser. I hope this can be fixed because i love some fabrics for later projects but i just don’t want to purchase them right in the moment yet. It would also be convenient to provide a small line about if the product is in stock in a store nearby or needs to be shipped in the “save for later” function or in the favorite function. it would save me the trouble of clicking on it to check if i can pick it up in store, then backtracking to put it back in my cart. Also filtering the search results could be improved. I wanted to filter only products that i can pick up in store, but that feature seems to not work because i still get search results that require shipping. i shop on the app most regularly so i hope that my feedback improves it!

Misleading stock numbers. I have been having a particularly hard time trying to find a certain color of yarn to finish a project. I saw there were 3 balls in stock at a particular store. I drove 45 minutes out of my way to come to this store. I arrive and I can’t find the specific color I’m looking for. I bring up the app and sure enough it says there are still 3 balls of that color yarn in stock. I find an employee only to have them tell me that those numbers aren’t correct and they take 24-48 hours to update. Why even have this feature in the app if it’s not always updated?! Also what would have happened if I bought online to pick up in the store? Would no one have known this actually wasn’t in stock until an employee went to put the order together? Also, many stores don’t carry this color so my only option is to order online, which the shopping is $7.99 for a ball of yarn that’s roughly $5.....and there’s no option to have it shipped to the store. And the only online coupon is for free shipping with an order of $75 or more.... This is a poor excuse for an app. With the technology available to us now there’s no reason why the in stock numbers aren’t updated in real time! If this can’t be accomplished then don’t even bother with this feature. Thank you for wasting my time.

App has potential...frustrating in current form. This app has the potential to be a real winner of a sales and marketing tool for Joann. However right now it is so frustrating to use it could (is?) actually be driving customers away. Hook your app developer up with an actual crafter! It's hard to program if you don't understand the subject. Get some beta testers who can work with you. Links for store locations, coupons, latest offers, weekly ad, and SHOPPING, go on that home page. NOT tutorials. A news app returns you to the main menu each time--so does your app. Your users want to look at other items in the same category. While I'm in the store I might want to know if you actually sell the item I can't locate. On the other hand, maybe I don't have a local store. Crafters are a creative and spontaneous group...they are going to head to your store to grab supplies, as a first choice the minute that ah-ha hits them. Online shopping is a good second choice if there is no Joann's available or your local store doesn't stock what they need. Use your analytics--if customers in an area are ordering stuff not stocked in the local store, use that to customize what that location offers. Tutorials will not generate business if the app doesn't work properly to begin with. Keep in mind the size of screen a typical phone has. Get the basics working first.

It’s okay. My main problem with this app is the cart/save item for later functions. If you have more than about 20 items in your cart and want to continue shopping, when you go back to your cart it takes ages to load. Sometimes, it doesn’t load at all even for you to remove items. Obviously this makes it difficult to actually make a purchase. Additionally, there is no way to favorite items other than placing an item in your cart to a “save for later” page. But, the only way to access this “save for later page” is through your cart. Which sometimes doesn’t load. And if your cart does load, the “save for later” page has the same issue where if you have over 20 items it itself may not load. Otherwise, this app is accurate when it comes to representing in-store stock, searching for items is relatively easy, and the built coupons are very convenient! I really just wish there were an easier way to make some sort of wishlist to go back to without going through the cart, and make the cart actually load… so I can buy things… in an app for a retail store XD

Creative. When JoAnns opened a new store closing the old small store I had mixed feelings. Being the only store in the high desert that carried a large choice of material I parked my car and slowly walked into the new store. Believe me when I say I was so overwhelmed with not only material but also the items used in so many other crafts I immediately decided this store was my new Best and Favorite store. In fact since this new store opened I no longer drive past the empty “old” store and grieve! Material, paints, beads, jewelry findings, sewing machines, children’s crafts, cake decorating, leather crafts, polymer clay, yarn, seasonal crafts and finished pieces,... I could go on! Yes, when I go to this store new projects form in my mind and I find myself checking out several hours after I entered the store. My favorite store!

Don’t trust their inventory. Giving 3 stars cause I know their trying and the app use to be great. But now all I can say is don’t trust the app if it says something is in stock. You’ll drive out of you’re way to a store and find out that item has been out of stock for weeks and even days after you go to the store they still won’t update the inventory. The app clearly says 10 units in stock. After contacting them they said the site doesn’t reflect their active inventory. Which pretty much means the app is useless. I’ve tried the shop online and pick up in store option and the items become sold out by the time they try to fulfill it. Or I guess in my previous case the item has been sold out for weeks and they just can’t update their site even after numerous customers show up looking for these things. You’re better off going to the store yourself. The app is only good to browse not help you find things in stock

Pretty seamless except searching is a headache. I love being able to place orders from the app and search all the available fabrics. The search feature is a nightmare though; I apply filters to only see search results available at my local store and every result says “out of stock” at local store, but is available to ship. I’m trying to search for fabrics I can get immediately without paying and waiting for shipping (especially because so many have a 2 yard minimum to ship and I rarely need that much at a time); it’s so frustrating. Why have a filter feature if it doesn’t filter results at all? I would like to utilize the curbside option more often but if I have to constantly comb through results that aren’t actually available for curbside, it nearly defeats the convenience if it.

Ok but.... Great idea but I lost all my coupons when I turned my phone data off (was coming from Canada to US). That was upsetting! Please fix this glitch. You shouldn't be able to lose coupons in your wallet.

Coupons. LOVE the coupons!!! Wish some overlapped and lasted longer, can't always make it in before they expire.

Wish you shipped to Canada. I love the stuff this app has! But they don’t ship to Canada 😢

New to quilting. I can always find what I’m looking for and the staff is friendly and helpful. Always great deals! Ever consider having a day at par.

Super helpful!! The coupons make me happy. The only one i open and read every letter!! Very easy to navigate.

Love JOANN s fabrics. Great for deals and inspirations!

Excellent. We love the staff, they are so knowledgeable and helpful. The store is clean, bright and well organized.

Perfect. You download coupons online (from your phone or a computer) and you redeem them without going online. Great app for on-the-go savings

So-so. So far the major complaint I have is that the search function doesn't work....or if it does it takes way too long because it never seems to ever load for me. Unlike the previous reviewer turning off my data doesn't seem to remove my coupons...I turned it off for a while and when I went back into the app they were all still there. Fingers crossed that they are still there tomorrow as I am planning in going shopping south of the border and plan to use it!

Hope i can order from canada. Hi i am enjoying the app but when i try to order from canada it does not allow me to have a canadian billing address. I am, therefore, not allowed to complete my order.

Not working. Poor more bugs to be fixed

Easy to use. Great selection

Awesome!. Love this app!! You go online to get the coupons (you can go online on your phone or on a pc somewhere else) and load them I your "wallet". Then you can go to the app and get your coupons from your wallet while you are offline. I love it!!! The search function works for me & even has quick sub categories to click on. I am from Canada so when I go to Jo-Ann, I make big trips at a time, so the coupons are amazing to have! Especially when I don't have to print them off. *Note: I have never turned my data on/off so I don't know of you lose coupons from your wallet*

Sales and ideas. What a great app. Wonderful leveled ideas and sale deals on items needed.

Wish you were in Western Canada. We have Michaels, which is pretty good, here in Alberta, Canada but it would be nice to have another choice for our crafting and sewing projects. Rita Lobe

The app. The APP is a wonderful tool and is easy to use!!!! Love the quick notifications!

Great store. Love the product. When I'm in the store I often have trouble opening the coupons.

Love the savings. I am so enjoying the daily emails and coupon savings

Shopping at Joann.. I’m from Canada! I love this app because I can plan a trip to the nearest Joann store when the the fabric I need is on sale just by checking the app.

Coupons. Love to see the coupons on fabric and amount of savings

Great app. Keeps coupons handy and allows you too see what’s in stock! However, it detects where you are and doesn’t allow you to change your shipping address while keeping your billing address the same. Very frustrating to order things! Often I have to go to the website. Wish this wasn’t the case.

Easy. Love this store and the app is easy for us crafty but not techie!

WARNING App Highjacked My Phone. This app highjacked my iphone. Would not allow me to close app or power off my phone or use Siri. Took me over an hour to delete the app. Worried about permanently damaged or what information it stole. DO NOT INSTALL!!!!

Great website. Just one wish would be to have Joann’s to ship to Canada!

Change country. Still cannot change country for shopping

Great store. I have to admit, I spend a lot of my allowance at Joann's!

Coupons. I do not always get my coupons. I rarely get the cashiers to give me my military discount and I know there are a few teachers that have not gotten theirs. Your coupons are too hard to understand. I had to tell the employees on several instances that they have fabric on sale and they had to go look it up. Their reasons were we didn’t have time to get everything marked. I have to make a list of what I’m shopping for if it is a sale item so I can make sure I get the sale price. Plus the clerks are telling me only one coupon per visit. When I purchase several hundred $$$$ of fabric at one time I need all the discount s I can get. Stillwater, OK

Terrible app. Crashes all the time.. I hate using this app. It’s so slow and disorganized. It takes forever to search for the item you are looking for, and often the same item has several listings that you have to click through to find the color you want. The in-store deals are not easy to read or filter for what you are looking for. There have been several times I have ordered an item from the app to pick up in the store only to have the order cancelled minutes later - the app would tell me that there are multiple of the item in stock when in reality there were none. The only redeeming part of this app is that the coupons are nice and easy to access when you need to scan them at the store.

App is Not Usable. I keep getting this popup in the app, first when I was trying to check out, now when I open the app in general: "Please verify you are a human" / "Access to this page has been denied because we believe you are using automation tools to browse the website." I can hold down the button and be verified, but then it comes right back. Also, this app is so aggravating to use because it's so slow. I feel like dialup was faster than this. The pages sputter, the images take a long time to load (and just don't sometimes), I have to reset the app regularly when it gets stuck loading indefinitely. Also--why do the sale prices change so often?? I just had something in my cart change price three times, (full price, sale price so I increase quantity to 2, suddenly full price again when I'm finishing up, all in one night). It took me several hours to figure out what I wanted, just to have this stupid thing block me from checking out at the end of it. The security thing seems like something the app developers would need to address, but the speed issue seems like it's sever side (both app and desktop website). I googled and I'm not the only one having issues with Joann's website by far. So frustrating. Why even bother?

App only useful as rewards and coupon storage. Apparently this app is only useful as a rewards and coupon storage for use in store. I’ve tried many times to order from within the app, only to have the entire cart of items disappear when ready to checkout. It’s only worked properly 1-2 times. I switched to my iPad Safari browser, only to get error messages about incorrect shipping and billing info that was not incorrect. Joann Customer Care seems to know of these issues and suggests when contacted to use Google Chrome on a desktop or laptop. I own Apple devices and really don’t want to download another browser just to buy from Joann. They need a new app and website developer who can properly program their site to work for ALL technology, not just PC or Google.

Fix Saved Items Please. When the new updates arrived for the app this year, I am now unable to get my ‘Save for Later’ to open. I have 27 items in the section which I would like to go through and cannot. All that happens when clicking on Save for Later is a working graphic, like it is taking time to turn off your phone graphic. If a wish list section was added to the app this would solve this problem. I have tried already all the tips for any app errors (log out, turn off phone, delete/install app). None of the tips have worked. So please next update find a solution to why Save for Later is not working.

Great store, frustrating app. Let me just start by saying that I love this store. I decided to use the app to order a couple supplies I need but when I went to submit the order yesterday the app was shut down. When I tried to place the order today I couldn’t place the order because the app kept rejecting my email address. After attempting 3 valid email addresses, I backed out of the checkout thinking that it was glitched only to find that the cost of my items had increased. The cart then emptied itself when I exited the screen and after reselecting what I need the shopping cart goes to a blank white screen every time I load it. I know stores are getting overloaded right now but this isn’t functional. Hopefully their website is working better!

Trouble with coupons. I have had the app downloaded for some time and automatic updates have been installed. For some reason I am having trouble at the store because although my coupons are current, the cashiers always tell me that I have a short barcode and they do t know how to apply it. My rewards never nor’easter because they say I have to show the before the transaction because they don’t know how to apply it. They always suggest I get the coupons from either e-mail or text. What can I do?

Do not get delivered!!!!!. Whatever you do, do not get your package delivered to you if you want it in a reasonable time frame. I ordered 7 items, and didn’t receive them for over 3 weeks, then when they came in 3 of the 7 items were faulty and I couldn’t even send them back or return them because there was no point in wasting even more time. I then ordered 5 more items immediately, as to hopefully finish my project in time, and my estimated delivery date that ended up being 25 days from my order date, has now been pushed back another 10 days bringing the total to 35 days of waiting. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not tell me a time frame of up to 10 days and then make me wait over a month, and repetitively push it back further and further. I could’ve gone to Michael’s and actually picked up what I needed had I known your shipping was that unreliable.

Like being able to look at fabrics. But, app can be frustrating, tedious and time consuming.. When looking at items in the shopping cart it would be easier if the app automatically returned to that item location in the shopping cart when the “back” button is clicked. It actually takes you back to the top and you have to scroll back down through your shopping cart to visit the next item. It does the same when searching for items in general. Scrolling, looking at an item then going “back” starts at the top again. It doesn’t return to the current item you’re viewing. Frustrating. Tedious. Time consuming.

Feeling low to being joyful. When I visit JoAnn’s, I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. I have had a rough 10 years physically, mentally and emotionally and my “mood booster” has been JoAnn’s!! Planning a project, shopping for supplies and visiting w other people, brightens my day. I call it my “lifeline” therapy!! There are times like today, when I am too sick to drive, so I shopped online for turtle fabric for my “adopted” grandson. He loves turtles and I am going to make him a pillowcase and a small quilt to snuggle. So, with much gratitude and appreciation, I say “thank you” Joanns for always filling my cup and I am sure, many others as well!! ❤️😘

App set up wrong.. I think the first thing to come up should be shopping. I believe most people use the app to shop or check for availability of a product before going to their local store. The ads could be first but I believe the projects should be an option to choose last, especially since a lot of the projects are not complete or unclear. I believe a project should not be posted unless complete instructions and working links are provided along w complete shopping list. I have quit looking at the projects because too many of the ones I was interested in were not complete. App is good idea but needs refinement to be completely useful.

Horrible customer service. I emailed Joan Ann Fabrics customer service about their “rewards” program. I said that the Joan ann employees explained to me that by using the “rewards” that I had earned only worked like a coupon. If they call it “rewards”, then let your customers use it like a reward. If it is to be used like a coupon, then call it a coupon. I explained that I, as well as others who I know are frustrated with this rewards program. They didn’t seem to care and did nothing to help. I will not be a loyal Joan ann customer and I will be sure to let others know. On another note, i looked up an item and it says that my store has 12 of the item. I went into my store and asked an employee and she said, we probably do have 12 of them but there is no way for us to know if they are on a shelf, in a box or in the back storage.

Very hard to see; optimize for small iPhone screen please!!!!!!. Very hard to see; optimize for small iPhone screen please!!!!!! For example give the option of one pattern on screen at a time instead of two as we scroll down so someone who has aging eyes like me can see the detail better. When you click on the link to see the back of the pattern envelope, to check sizing, optimal fabrics, etc, make it expandable like a photo so we can zoom in and actually read it! Very much too tiny and can’t read any of it now. And since the patterns that interest me say they are only available online, that means not in store so how the heck am I supposed to see the essential detail? C’mon, work with actual users to make this thing work. It has promise, but right now, no cigar.

APP is awful!. The app has the option to filter for Available In-Store, Curbside/Store Pick-Up, and Shipping (ie Online). With any filter applied, it won’t filter! I’ll put something down for In Store or Curbside, and when I find a fabric or product I like, I’ll click to view and realize it’s not actually available. Such a gigantic waste of time. In addition, the cart in the app sometimes empties itself and resets. So infuriating that I’ll be shopping on the app, add things to my cart, and maybe an hour or two later when I’m done browsing and ready to check out, THE CART IS EMPTY. I like the store but the app is horrendous. I’ve had it for some time and only use it to check the weekly ads at this point to decide whether or not I want to drive to the store. Not what an app user experience should be, especially during Covid times when I’d prefer to stay home. Well, all those empty carts just saved me money I guess!

great app, just a couple critiques!. overall i’ve really liked this app, definitely one of the nicer online shopping apps out there. i mostly use it to shop for yarn, and it’s been very helpful for checking stock before shopping and placing online orders. that being said, i have a couple quality of life improvements that i think would improve the experience a lot: 1. i wish you could heart/save items to keep them, rather than needing to put them in your cart - as someone who gets mostly just yarn from joanns, i would really like to have an option to heart or save a certain yarn somehow, and have a way to access your saved products. personally, this would make it easier to get a yarn in multiple different colors, or keep track of which yarn you are using for a project more easily. it would help you keep track of yardage, gauges, etc. 2. the menus shouldn’t reset when swapping between menus - on the home screen you can click on a category, then click on a certain product. if you then click on the shop icon, then the home icon again, the home menu is back to the home screen rather than showing the product you picked out. i find that rather annoying, as it is sometimes an accident - meaning i lose track of the product - and also does not allow for product comparison on mobile. other than these things i think the app is really great! i really appreciate the coupons being shown in the app, as well as users having an easy way to access the weekly offers from their local store.

Classes. I recently went to a Cricut Designing class. Shay taught the class and everyone (except me) brought a laptop. I brought a tablet. They hadn’t taught on a tablet before so Nathan sat with me and helped figure it out, step by step. It was a lot of fun and I learned welding and layering. I’m not sure I’ll remember EVERYTHING that was covered in class, but Nathan said that anyone who wants can come in any day and use their table space and get help while working on projects there. Good to know. I plan on taking more classes. There must be a minimum of two people signed up to have the class. In my opinion, it was worth the $40. Maybe I’ll expand to other classes at a later time, but for now I’ll focus on the Cricut classes. Can’t wait for the next one!

Review -. My JoAnns store in Columbus, Georgia is pretty awesome! Two employees I want to point are Melissa Bartoe and the store manager, Shari. They both went way out of their way to help me find gold braiding with a lip, the store did not have any, Melissa called other stores and requested the 18 yards I needed. She found a store, then she mentioned that there was going to be a Manager’s meeting the next evening and asked the manager if she would bring the braid to the meeting and then asked Shari to pick up an bring to the store the next time she worked, which was Friday. Shari brought it to the store on her way home from the manager’s meeting that evening. Thanks to Shari and Melissa! He app is pretty cool!

Joann’s addict!!. I LOVE Joann’s, and am so thankful there is this wonderful app now! I have always found the coupons all over the place, and took forever at the check out stand to ensure I got all the right coupons to get my price right. This app has saved me SO much time and given me a new level of love for the store! My other favorite feature is the ability to buy my stuff and just stop in and pick it up! Better yet, I can have my husband pick it up on the way home, and there is no problem with ensuring the order is correct, or that he will have any hassle. It’s GREAT!!

So frustrating!!. This is literally the worst shopping app on market (next to Kohls). At least Kohl’s can keep my shopping cart in-tact but just like theirs, this app constantly crashes. Resets my shopping bag randomly. Allows me to order all these products out of stock. My last order of over $100 was completely cancelled and that was over 20 items! You mean to tell me none of it was in stock or were we too lazy to fill the order?? Obviously this is a database maintenance issue. This app also resets my search just because I click on an item for more details and it allows me to save favorites but I can never view my list unless I use the desktop interface. I’ve shopped at Joann’s for several years but their app has hardly improved in its interface or its functions. I’ve made suggestions on the app through the random surveys but that doesn’t help obviously.

Review of JoAnn Fabrics APP. This app is the WORST APP I have ever been on. Most times when I put in what I want to search it decides what I want. It’s not because of spelling either. Also if you don’t have...or sell an item why don’t you just say that instead of making me look at everything you think I might like. It’s a waste of time!!! The only thing I like about it are the coupons.....I agree with the other persons response about having a crafter help with the developer on this APP.....and maybe that might help. As you know JoAnns is one of the only fabric stores in the area that has a variety of everything , so you pretty much have the market.....for now anyway. You’d think you could spend some money on making the APP a little more user friendly, because you are making millions of $$$ off us consumers! I’ll give it a 1 star just for the coupons.

Great app, but missing certain features. App functions great, and I use it all the time to shop and buy online! Although sometimes, an item shows in stock in my local store but when I purchase, the item gets cancelled bc they’re actually out of stock. Happened three times already. I don’t know if it’s the store not updating their system or the app not working correctly! Look into that. Another suggestion is to let us Favorite items to go back to later and/or Save for Later in our cart. Lost a star bc the app is missing these shopping-friendly features, and it makes shopping/saving items inconvenient. If updated with these features, I’ll update my review. Thank you!

This store is always my go to!. I placed my order for products I am using to make masks and other embroidery projects, expecting there to be a long wait because Of the pandemic and the site saying there would be delays. Not even an hour later, I had notification that my order was ready to pick up. We got to the store and saw a line of people waiting to go in, but we pulled up, called, and within 2 minutes we were on our way with our purchase. I can honestly say that every time I have visited this particular store, it has been a pleasant experience. Thank you to The Woodlands store for your help and wonderful customer service!!

Barely functions. It doesn’t matter what functions I try in this app they just don’t work well :( If I search something specific I either don’t get any results or get a ton and am lucky to find what I’m actually looking for somewhere in the mix. If I try to access my saved for later they don’t load. If I try to place an order for my local store pick up it tells me it can’t be added to bag (for all items, so definitely not a stock issue). If I try to do anything in the app while inside my store it doesn’t load (that could be a local store issue, but guest wifi access might help?). If I try to scroll product images they don’t load after the listing image. Overall my app experience leaves me very frustrated and I end up switching back to my browser and can usually get most of what I want to do done that way!

Don’t change. Love the app. Hate that you can’t get same discount in store. It makes me mad to drive over there , to support your store and employees, and the deals are on line or curbside. If you’re trying to get us to all go on line so you can get rid of employees it won’t work . Your store is a store you you have to see things up close . You don’t sell sweaters but tiny art things that I need to see personally. Plus once I’m in there I buy lots of things I would not otherwise buy. Your store seems to be doing great with more people at home doing arts and crafts. Don’t get greedy.I can shop online discount everyday., but I choose to come in TO YOUR SPECTACULAR STORE.

Has glitches. Love this app for the most part. The Joann’s in my town gets very busy so being able to pick everything up is very helpful, when the app works. Multiple times I’ve had store pickup coupons say they aren’t valid, it will tell me my address doesn’t exist so I’ll exit out the app and redo the order and it’ll tell me my email isn’t valid. If I try to reach customer service the robot check won’t work and will do it over and over until I just give up. I emailed customer service via website and was told sorry the website isn’t working for you *shrug*. it’s the app that’s not working! Very frustrating, guess I will have to deal with the lines since the app currently isn’t be reliable right now.

Very nice. Overall, great job on the app! This is MUCH easier to use on iPad than the web site. Two suggestions: The first is a pet peeve. PLEASE allow the option for “pages” instead of “more,” with at least 200 items per page. When I’m looking through quilting fabrics, I want to know how deep I am; God forbid the app should close and I need to start all over! Second, an “availability” filter would make the app WAY more user-friendly. There is nothing worse than settling on a perfect fabric only to discover it’s not available and you’re back to square one. Streamlining options makes selections much easier.

REALLY bad timing!. Earlier today, I was in the app 2 different times: Once to verify my rewards and once again later in the day to make a shopping list. Each time, it worked just like it always does with no notifications whatsoever. Then, as I was standing in the checkout line at the store this evening, I opened the app to use my $5 reward ... only to have the app tell me that it was out of date and needed to be updated via the App Store! Seriously?!? Why on earth wouldn’t you push updates overnight or first thing in the morning ... or either of the TWO TIMES I was in the app earlier today? But instead you wait until I’m physically in the store (and away from my home network) to push an update ... which, in turn, prevents me from accessing coupons, rewards, etc. until the update has been completed? Not nice at all! :-(

Great for extra coupons, but that’s about it.. I mostly use this app for getting extra coupons to use in store. The search function is also decent. However, I find it not nearly as useful as just pulling out my laptop to try shopping online or planning a purchase. Perhaps the most frustrating thing, the favorites option available on the Joanns desktop website isn’t available in the app. Or at least I could not find it. I use this function for planning purchases, keeping track of items I want to check for sales, and as a general wishlist. I have no idea why this would be excluded from the app, it’s so frustrating. I would like the app so much more if I could actually use it to check and manage my favorites list.

Happy Place??. I have to agree with D&DBeerNuts comment about the attitudes of the staff/cashiers. It’s rare that they act in a friendly, interested manner, much less happy. This suggests that the work environment is not good or the management is not supportive. I’m not a real frequent shopper but have shopped at Joanne’s for years. It seems there was a big change when our local Joanne’s moved from Hartnell Avenue to the current location on Dana. I used to see the same faces all the time at the old store; now it seems like I never see a familiar face. And it’s hard to find a clerk to help locate things. It’s too bad. The clerks used to ask about my project. More typically now, they don’t ask. It’s a very impersonal shopping experience.

Frustrating at best on first use.. I got the app for the coupons which were not obvious to find but I was new to the app. Coupon did not apply to the item I wanted to buy because item was on sale. (Coupon could not take reduction off regular price which would have been a better deal for me. OK, their rules.) Item was listed as available for pick up at stores but not in stock at my usual store. Site would not let me change store and did not list stores where it was available. ***Hint: This would have been very useful and resulted in sale. I gave up on this gift item. Then looked for Lion brand Homespun yarn. Got nice bunch of small pictures of yarn with option of getting list of colors. The two were not linked. Could not get a description of colors or names of colors in pictures nor enlarged colors of pictures. Not useful for choosing colors. Waste of almost an hour. Can not recommend.

The Best!. Seriously, there is no store that compares to Joanns. I have 3 major craft stores within 5 miles of both my homes and Joanns get my business every time. They are always friendly and go way beyond the norm. They have great prices, coupons and good supply in every Dept. They have gone so far as to help me get coupons off my phone so that I save the most money possible. They are the only store to accept the other stores’ coupons AND match ads. After crafting for more than 50 years, my husband is finally GOING INTO the store with me to see if I am getting everything I need for my projects. That is quite the accomplishment. Keep up the great work.....A customer for life!!!!!! 💗Sincerely, Doreen Burdett

$ off total purchase online coupons needed!. I’ve always liked the Joann app, but right now, a lot of people are more comfortable ordering online than in stores. Most of the coupons for online purchases are for a percentage off REGULARLY priced fabrics (most of the 100% cotton fabrics are already on sale, and therefore, useless); however the coupons for in-store purchases are for dollars off the TOTAL purchase price, regardless if the item is on sale. This is pretty unfair to your online purchasers. I understand why they want people to come into their stores, but Joann has to understand why we may be hesitant or simply unable to do so. A lot of us are making masks right now due to the virus, and it would be to their benefit to give the online customers the same advantage as the in-store customers. Thank you.

Fleece fabric. I love to make the fleece blankets for my family for birthdays and Christmas. To date I have made over 150 of them. I love your prints but one thing that hinders me is that many of the prints I would like to buy are either out of stock or my store does not carry them. I have not had much success with the prints that are on line in that they have often shorted me yardage and do not have any more to send me. Many times after ordering you have cancelled my order after accepting it in the first place. It took me over one Year to finally get the print I needed . Is there an answer for me? Otherwise your prints are beautiful .Thanks for letting me share my thoughts.

My opinion of JoAnns. I have shopped at JoAnns for 45 years. I am in the store every week. I truly enjoy your specials and discounts. The store I shop at is always so organized and clean. The personnel are so knowledgeable and friendly. They try very hard to help you find what you are looking for or suggest something else that works better. I surely hope you won’t be closing this branch in Palm Harbor, Florida. I feel you try hard to be revel ant to the times. JoAnn’s is a store I know I can count on you to be there when I need you. At 75 it becomes a challenge to go very far to shop. Best of Luck to JoAnns! Carole Hogle

Great selection. JoAnn’s offers a great selection, but I agree that the employees don’t seem too happy. They will help when asked, but do so reluctantly. I also have an issue with your app. I shop regularly at our local store, but cannot access the coupons while in the store. It’s almost as if it’s on purpose so I can’t use coupons. I try to remember to download coupons ahead of time. I had thought about applying for a part-time job there, as I am a retired high school English teacher, but I wonder why the employees seem to be so unhappy. I’d love to be able to discuss my project with a knowledgeable person & these people don’t seem to be interested in what I’m making.

Could be better. I love Joann’s, they are my go to for crafting. I love the coupons as well. That was one of the main reasons I got the app, and it’s great for the coupons. However, it is frustrating in other aspects!!! 1. It will not allow me to change my store! It works online but not through the app! I have to log in online through the web browser. 😐 I can’t use one coupon I’d like to use because I have to log in through app.i don’t wanna pay for the shipping and it won’t let me change the location. 2. When picking up in store it would be nice to have the option to pay in store, instead of just online. I’m at the point I no longer want to order online through Joann’s. Hopefully they can work the kinks out and make it easier to use and work correctly as well.

Why I love to shop at JoAnn Fabrics. It’s a treat to go shopping in JoAnn Fabrics. I always shop there first because they have a large variety of many different types of craft supplies to choose from. They always have many wonderful items on sale that can be used in a variety of different types of crafting. And if you sign up to be on their mailing list you will be amazed at the coupons you will receive in your mail box for large discounts on many items and sometimes even a percentage off your entire purchase. I always find the best selection of whatever type of craft project I may be working on at JoAnn Fabrics.

Too many bugs...no shipping deals.. The app freezes and then I have to start my search all over or just go to a different dealer of scrapbook supplies with a better site. I saw that American Crafts Textured Cardstock was on sale at 40% off and I just needed to select from the colors. It appeared that the 3 colors I selected from the same ( supposedly) group on sale were in fact not on sale. Why show 75 colors to choose from when only 4 show up on sale in the group of 75. I just gave up...which is what you don’t want a customer to do. Also, I miss your promotions on shipping. I guess I will just go to sites that offer free shipping for a minimum purchase.

App needs serious work... I have had the Joann’s apps for going on 3-4 years now. In that time it has never worked. It won’t let me choose a store, I get an error message every time. It won’t let me view the app only coupons, I get an error message every time. And in general the app just doesn’t load, probably not once. Apparently there was just an app update, but it hasn’t made a difference. I have to explain to the Joann’s staff every single time I check out (which is frequent might I add) that I have the app and an account but it won’t load for me to use the coupons— then I have to show them and it’s a whole ordeal every time just to get them to see and honor the coupons anyway. Ugh. What’s the point of an app if it has so many bugs? Also- yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. Logged in and out (which sometimes it doesn’t even let me log in due to an error).

My #1 store for textile!. I enjoying very much the great variety of textiles and sewing/ quilt notions. And very competitive prices! It is my #1 store to go to for every project. Furthermore, it has an outstanding services—online shopping, curbside and store pickup. The app is easy to navigate an every item description is clear and to the point. However, I am involved in making face masks for elderlies, family and friends both near and distance. I ordered quite amount of fabric over a week ago and still have not received it. Maybe in the future the system will improve. The corona virus will linger for a while, thus, the need to have the fabric, tools and equipment to continue our community support. Respectfully

Review. People in Point Loma, pretty good, friendly, some know something about fabric. People in other stores don’t know anything about the products, one of them didn’t know what a press cloth is and then said you don’t have any in the store. You don’t offer apparel fabrics like silk or wool. You are more a quilting store now and I am forced to purchase natural fabrics , sight unseen, from on-line providers. Why do you carry apparel patterns if you haven’t any natural fabrics from which to create the garment. Quilting cotton can be used for a few garments, but not many. It seems to me that you need to decide what kind of store you want to be and proceed there.

Great app, but a bit glitchy at times. This is a great app and very convenient! My only complaint is at times it is a bit glitchy. When you are in the store it sends coupons, which is great, but I had one for free shipping and the store didn’t have what I had came for. I tried to check out right there, but it kept saying it could not apply it. I gave up and then at home the coupon was no longer valid. Still, it is a great store and the items are very nice. Online customer service is top notch as well!

♥️ Joann. As a new quilter is is so nice to go in to Joann’s and get lost in the fabric that is not going to break the bank. The sales are awesome and working with the people who cut the fabric is always a joy, nice and pleasant to talk with. Sometimes the wait to check out is long but when you get up to the cash register and they work with you and the app on my phone for savings you understand and thank them for helping!!! I love the small mom and pop stores also but they are not able to compete with the value at Joann’s. I just got a gift card to the store that was so unexpected and they could have chosen a better gift to give. Happy sewing!!!!

Love the store, hate the app.. I was trying all day to order quite a bit of yarn from the app. I had 20+ items in my cart. Every time I’d go to view my cart, it would completely empty randomly and I’d have to start all over. The yarn I was trying to purchase was on sale for $1.99 (not all $3.99), and the sale is now over. Because my cart continuously emptied while trying to place my order, I wasn’t able to complete the order and missed out on that sale. When it comes down to it, these kinds of glitches shouldn’t be happening and causing such a huge problem, ESPECIALLY in the middle of a global pandemic when many people are trying to limit going into stores.

Yarn. The store and staff are wonderful as is the offerings for many hobbies. Even though I live in Florida we still crochet and knit. I have noticed that the yarn supply keeps getting smaller. We need that increased especially the Bernat brand. I know it is more costly but it flies off the shelves when a new shipment comes in. Shopping on line is ok but we deal with colors and like to see them in person. Also I am an artist and paint with all the mediums. To encourage young people to be creative instead of device bound I like to give them art sets would like to see those back. Just recently had to go to several stores to collect the supplies. Thank you I do so love the store and just walking in makes me feel happy lol Thank you Susan Ford

So Frustrating!. This app has so much potential to be a valuable tool - especially during a pandemic when I want to minimize my exposure to people at the store. Searching for fabrics is fairly easy with the filters; however, FINDING a fabric that is either available to ship or at my local store is nearly impossible. It seems that most (90%) of the cotton quilting fabrics that I’d like for making masks are unavailable. Unfortunately, there isn’t a filter that lets me search only for fabrics that are actually available to purchase!! I spend most of my time finding really cool colors/patterns only to be disappointed by my inability to buy. 😕 It’s so frustrating. I find myself shopping at competing sites simply for the convenience of actually finding and BUYING - often times at a much higher price - what I’m looking for.

On line coupons. I would have given five stars had all the coupons on line had been able to be used in the store. I didn't get a flyer and there weren't any in the store. I spent more than I intended because the coupons on my phone were mail only. If we don't get a mailer because our post office didn't deliver it, we shouldn't be penalized by not being able to use all of the coupons. However, the store was well stocked and the people were helpful; every last one I talked to, even the lady who was wore out in the fabric area. I felt sorry for her as she was so tired. I hope you post these comments, and take into consideration those of us with no flyer. Thank you!!

Filter for in stock only. This app is ok; however my frustration with having to go through so many clicks is “real “ so I gave it two stars. In this day and age with apps, I should be able to filter for “in stock” items only. I don’t seem to be able to do that. I have to click on the item I want to see if it is in stock at the store. The first screen just shows you if it is in stock or not (online/available for shipping or in stock at store). That is annoying when there are so many fabric choices, filtering for what is actually available in store is impossibly time consuming. All other apps for other stores allow you to filter and only show what is in stock at the particular store you are interested in.

Too many bugs, doesn’t work anymore. Since the last update, my cart won’t save. Sometimes it says there are 30-something items in there, sometimes it’s 20, sometimes zero. I can remove something from my cart but it won’t actually remove. I can add things to my cart, but they don’t actually make it to my cart. I expect the stock information to be a little off for my local store. Didn’t assume it would update automatically every time someone purchased fabric. But it’s way off. Says things are in stock that aren’t in stock and Vice versa. If it is actually in stock, the numbers are way off. I have decent coupons I’d like to use to buy materials for Christmas presents, but I can’t. I used to like the app, but I’m about ready to delete it. It’s a waste of storage space on my phone at the moment.

I love Joann’s and the app until recently when it won’t show dollar totals for order. I’m so frustrated with the app in the last few weeks. I’ve downloaded the updates hoping it will fix it, but to no avail. I cannot place orders through the app anymore because it doesn’t show anything in the dollar amounts for totals or coupons or what I’m going to be charged. And the website is applying the coupons differently and not letting me check out with PayPal like it used to for in store pickup. So frustrating. I’ve missed out on several coupons for orders now as I’m unable to use either avenue for the buy online and pickup in store option.
