Helpful. With multiple food allergies causing a wide range of symptoms it is been hard for me to track which food is affecting me and which symptom is linked to which food. This app helps a lot. It was difficult at first to record and track foods and symptoms and to interpret the analysis. Eventually it becomes easier but at first it is a steep learning curve. Is this app perfect? No but it does steer me in the right direction and it’s easier than recording all this info by hand on reams of paper.

Useful!. This app is helping me track food sensitivities, and it does seem to be helping. I’m still learning how to read the analysis portion (can be a little confusing, but there’s some solid info it provides), and I’m definitely starting to see patterns and what foods have been causing symptoms. No definite answers yet, but it has led me to a couple paths to try following! Support was quick to answer when I had a suggestion, I’m guessing they’d be be questions as well...

So far so good.. I like the app and initially thought it would be limited, but have been pleasantly surprised by how much is covered as far as the ability to track. You do have to input a lot, but that doesn’t bother me..I was already doing that, but a lot of what I’ve input is now available data. My biggest complaint is the lack of sync between devices. I have the app on more than one, but data only appears on one. Not going to input twice and doing backups constantly is a pain that only allows for one way transfers.

Very useful & gets easier to use over time. I have been using this ap for nearly a week after my gastroenterologist suggested I keep a food and symptom diary. I don’t want to have to do this but if I am going to invest the time, I want to have useful data. This ap allows a lot of individualization, both of data type as well as granularity. It is taking a little longer to figure out how to optimally use than a less customizable ap but I greatly appreciate having this flexibility. So, e.g., if I want to list only 2 items for a day, such as “coffee” and “heartburn” I could do that. Or if I want to list detailed ingredients and quantities and exact times with free text comments in multiple categories, I can also do that. If over time I realize I need to go more or less granular or add or subtract a category, I can do that. After using for a few days, the selectable entries became much quicker as the ap defaults to listing prior entries as available selections for subsequent days. If you are like me, you are taking some of the same meds and supplements and eating many of the same foods each day. I don’t have enough data yet for extensive analysis yet but look forward to exploring these features more as well. There is a wealth of information available here, so far it has been well worth the time I have invested.

Wish I didn't get this app. Tried to find a food diary and symptom diary to keep track during my FODMAPs diet. This was the first one I found so I got it. DON'T PURCHASE THIS APP. The UI is VERY confusing, and took me time to figure out how to use. I had to manually enter every single one of my foods and supplements, because somehow their database didn't have basic items like Oolong Tea and Probiotics. I lost my progress a bunch of times because of the confusing UI (it slows you to enter another food at the same time as you're filling out fields to enter a different food. Totally unnecessary and just makes it confusing). The design on the check items makes no sense (you're only allowed to press the literal check, and not the entire line or the name of the food). The tutorial was useless an didn't help me get a first grasp on the usability of the app. SAVE YOUR TIMR AND MONEY and download Cara instead. I found it after not believing this **** is the best thing out there and was so surprised to find a good app for free to do the exact same thing. If the app developers want to get it together they should run a user group and hire a real UI/UX designer instead of trying to build an app without paying attention to the inbox and user. Boooooo.

Amazing Tool. This app helped me discover what was causing my G.I. issues. And now I'm using it to help me with my allergies. The database is somewhat sparse in terms of ingredients in things but I've been adding them myself in hopes that someone else can use them. Also the instructions are pretty straightforward but the explanation on scores and ratios in your analysis is a little difficult to understand. It would be helpful if there was a more detailed explanation on score and ratio and how you could use each. Overall this app is definitely worth three dollars.

About time!. I have so many health problems and trying to figure out what is causing what is difficult for the specialists and I. I have found it easy so far and hope that I can figure out how to chart what each specialist needs. It allows for diversity of conditions by allowing you to add your own symptoms. I have lots of ideas for growth of this app and so far live it. This is the first review I have ever written. Keep up the good work!

Gluten-Free? EPI FODMAP help. Used the app to gather info to report to doctor when figuring out that I was gluten intolerant though not officially celiac. Now using to figure out fat levels needed to handle my EPI (pancreatic insufficiency)! Great tool to find hidden allergies too. Someday I might use for finding FODMAPs, appears it should work well. Even tracking medications & pain levels after broke a couple of ribs. Great flexibility—you can add your own symptoms, so possibly applicable to a lot of different medical issues. My only complaints are I want more diet tracking info. But its worth it without that!

Super Helpful. This app helped me figure out what was causing my GI issues. I logged a couple weeks of food and voila, gluten and dairy are my culprits! One helpful hint to anyone buying the app: when logging food, make sure all the ingredients are listed. If gluten is the problem but every time you eat something with gluten you just say "pizza" instead of saying "pizza" and then listing all the ingredients such as flour, oil, etc. you won't be able to figure out what the problem is. Logging ingredients makes everything easier. A note to the app developers: you guys are awesome. Seriously, this app is amazing. I just have a couple of suggestions. Maybe a more clean/modern user interface? But that's not necessary; the app works great as is.

Absolutely does the trick. Excellent way to keep track of what I eat instead of just trying to memorize everything I did. I wish they would add a line for weight as I weigh myself each morning to also track that. Other than that, it works fine. It’s cumbersome at times to type in the food - but no-mater what app you use you would still have to do that. Since my phone is with me all the time it’s way easier than carrying a notebook and writing everything down. I love the way it orders events when you adjust the time.

Most excellent tool to manage my symptoms!. i downloaded a week ago, after 3 successive disappointing experiences with similar apps. when trying to register initially last Sunday, i did not notice the password requirements, and failed numerous times. I asked by email for help, which was immediately answered on the first hour on Monday! amazing customer service and follow up care , exceptional company!! All being wonderful, i started using it, and here’s the real amazement:- it’s probably the most comprehensive, smart, beautifully designed and well-thought app out there. Being a systems analyst myself, i naturally tried to test/challenge/trick and find the problems or things lacking with the app...:). WOW AND BRAVO guys, superb achievement, you need to be proud of your work, it tremendously helps people like me with real bad lifelong symptoms of a disease that must be controlled by using such a tool that keeps track of everything so perfectly. Best thing about it is it’s simplicity and ease to amend, correct, add data backdated, improve our records, and even add new items that currently do not exist in the database. Thank you developers, great job!!

Love this app!. I have Crohn’s disease and am now adjusting to living with about 3ft fewer intestines than I’m used to. I’ve had to make some major diet and lifestyle changes and this app has helped me keep track of it all. It can be tedious to enter in every little thing, but eventually, it starts to remember things you do regularly so it gets faster as you continue to use it. Helps me figure out what is causing my symptoms. Thanks for making it!

Perfect app for what I need it for!. I was recently diagnosed with gastroparesis, a chronic and awful condition where your stomach doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to and food is delayed from Emptying into your intestines due to lack of motility. Was told to write down the foods I eat and symptoms they cause. To keep a journal. So I went searching for an app so I could do it on my phone as that is much easier than lugging around a notebook. I was delighted when I found this app. I thought maybe I would find an app that came a little close but that I would have to repurpose it for my need. But this app is exactly what I needed. It’s wonderful. And I love that I can track medications as well since we are having to try different ones. And then the PDF that I can send to my doctor or print out is just the bees knees. Thank you a million times for making this app. It’s awesome. I may recommend it to my fellow friends in an online support group I’m a part of. 10K Strong. I bet they will love this app as much as I do. 💜💜💜🤗🙏🙌👾👽😻

Very detailed. I suffer from migraines and it’s important for me to track my sleeping, eating and symptoms to figure out how things relate and cause my migraines. This app seems perfect to help with that. My only complaint is that instead of putting an end time for something, you put how many hours it happened. When I have a headache, the last thing I want to do is do time math to figure out how long it has been going on. It’d be much easier to just go on the app and say that it ended at that time and have the app determine the length of time.

Awesome App. I really really like this app I can keep track of my food water bowel movements just about anything everything is customizable and it’s so easy to use. I love how you can print a nice PDF report that’s amazing. Everything is synchronized from one device to the other so any device that you download the app on you can synchronize all of your information this app deserves a five star and no less thank you so much

Really versatile!. I love this app because I can track just about anything. With IBS-C, it can be very difficult to pin down what causes flare-ups, and while I JUST started using it, I can already see some interesting correlations in just a few days of tracking. The “Other” category is really important, too, because I can use it to track things like where I am in my cycle, or when I ride public transit (which can give me motion sickness as times). I’d ask the developers to include a way for women to track the very basics of their cycles because of how much it can relate to digestive symptoms, but I understand you can’t add everything to one app, and again, I can just use the “Other” category. Looking forward to the day that more foods are added to the database, but I’m happy to be contributing as I go!

Trust it enough to use it 😊. Logging all the ingredients that you eat every day is a real drag. But when you need to do it, it’s really nice to have a manageable yet detailed tracker. Learning curve was a little high. (3) 11/23 Back to logging after a while, because I had severe gut symptoms. Through a different resource I discovered that it was related to mixed nuts. Continued to loose weight. Instructed to go back to logging what I ate, but also needed to log food and quantities for calories, requiring me to log in 2 different apps, frustrating - would be so nice if a calorie function was included.

Everything I need to track for my overall health.. To;dr: well worth the $5 IMO. As someone who has been diagnosed with adhd, and struggles to maintain a healthy weight; this app encompasses everything I need to track to “see the bigger picture”of my health. I’ve tried other fitness apps, but always ended up ditching them because it focused more on numbers then anything else. That doesn’t work for me; it tends to become all or nothing thinking. I want to build a healthy relationship with food, my body and mental health. I realized that I just need document certain aspects of my daily life to see where I’m at so I can then look at what small steps I can take that will have the most impact.

Most robust option out there. First time I have reviewed an app because this one is so necessary for anyone with chronic health issues. It is the most robust, flexible and sophisticated option for tracking symptoms and getting analytics to help you find correlations. As with anything like this, the data is only as good as what you enter, e.g. to get really good data, you have to keep religiously entering information when you’re not having symptoms. I really hope they continue to improve the app and add more automation. I would especially like to see options to import data from Apple Health, Watch and other apps, e.g. automatic logging of environment events based on location and weather data. Nonetheless, it’s a phenomenal app and very helpful if you are diligent about data entry.

I am not convinced it works. I was drinking a protein shake every morning with 3 or so ingredients in it and like clockwork, I’d have an upset stomach 30 minutes later. Obviously, it was something in my protein shake, yet the app missed it or claims those ingredients had a low chance of being the culprit. Aside from that, it claims “fruit” is my number one culprit for every single symptom that’s logged with “high confidence” but I’ve never logged “fruit.” I have logged frozen cherries, avocado, and banana- but all of those specific ingredients, while being “fruit,” show only medium to low probability. So I’m not even sure how it is coming up with that? The concept it great though and I hope over time, the algorithm gets better.

Delightful.. Pretty well laid out app. It does exactly what I need and not much extra. I keep track of food and drinks due to LPR (silent reflux). It’s better than keeping a physical journal because it can keep a pattern. I need the pattern. Edit: I actually figured out my real issue after a little more use of this app. I had an allergic reaction to a certain food and it caused my issue. It wasn’t even LPR. This app helped me figure it out.

Pleasantly Surprised. I don’t think I have ever reviewed an app but I’m so pleasantly surprised with this that I actually wanted to. First of all, the app is very easy to use in my opinion and I love that it allows you to add ingredients to a food. I don’t think I have ever found an app that I LOVE without having to pay extra to unlock some service or having ads pop up every 30 seconds. This app doesn’t have that at all! All of the features are fully accessible and that’s what I appreciate the most, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this review. I also love that it does not track calories. The app is overall a great means of finding out what makes your body happy and what does not ☺️

Comprehensive. I’ve only been using the app for a week now but it has everything I needed. I can track food and medication intake and sleep and mood and other health symptoms all in one place. The initial set up takes a little bit of time the first time I enter something new but after that it’s super easy. This will be a really good self advocacy tool the next time I’m at the doctor trying to explain a complicated and not well understood condition. Cause and effect will be laid out right on paper.

So impressed. This is the first time I’ve EVER reviewed an app, because it’s the first time I’ve ever been so impressed! The functionality is amazing— so much more than you’d expect for an inexpensive little app. The ability to toggle on/off certain configurations / ways the algorithm works / analysis period to find top suspects— is evidence of the care and pride into this app. I could not believe when I went on vacation, the times of each entry changed for that day, so I didn’t have to do any more work (ie, pretending to be on a different timezone that day) so my “X hours after” ingestion values weren’t wrecked— it just worked, without any human adjustment needed! Clearly someone has thought long and hard about every scenario, and taken steps to address it in the app. I think the ability to either create a new recipe or replace all previous instances of the recipe with your new entry is essential, and without it, I doubt the results would ever be accurate. Basically I’m blown away by this app!!!! I should note that I find technology intuitive in general. If you want a more beginner’s app, and you’re willing to trade functionality for ease of learning the app, maybe you’d want to choose a different one. Personally I’m so glad I didn’t. This app rocks!!!

Disappointing from the start. I really wish that I had read more of the reviews and just not looked at the overall rating. I downloaded this anticipating that it would be somewhat like my fitness pal or the like. Unfortunately the database food seems to be so meager that just for my breakfast alone I spent several minutes trying to type in various ingredients. Breakfast wasn’t anything crazy! It was a Starbucks coffee and a turkey bacon sandwich. The diary supposed to make this tracking of food and symptoms easy. Instead I’m spending a majority of the time entering ingredients. Very disappointed. Would not recommend unless the makers of the app are able to substantially increase the database of available food and ingredients. You’d probably be better served by making your own Excel spreadsheet and analyzing from there for now.

Very Helpful!. I have severe Ulcerative Colitis and struggle with flares and keeping my diet strictly in line. My doctors have been advising me to keep a food and symptom journal for years. This is so much easier to just plug in the details and not have to re-write everything down or try to remember. It has helped me be more detailed in what I record and figure out patterns based on what I am eating and the results. It has also been very helpful when seeing my doctors or staying in the hospital to be able to give exact info. About BMs, foods, meds, etc. I have and will continue to highly recommend this app. to people with any chronic health issues.

Be careful. So I love, love, love the features of this app and how it works! But I’m giving it three stars because of the unexpected costs. So when I downloaded the app, it was free but said “in app purchases” which typically means you can use the app in a limited function or for a sample time period. The app never asked for my card info or for an upgrade to premium or warned me about a trial period that I would be charged after. I found a charge to my apple account about a week after downloading the app! I’m not very happy with the producers of the app because of the sneaky charge. If I’d known or had been warned, I would be ok with it, but I wasn’t. So, the app itself is wonderful and it’s functions and adaptability is amazing, but I really wished I’d been told about the charge up front.

Really great with room from improvement. The app has been easy to use for logging food. I only wish you could also do a daily long of symptoms, especially if you could add photos of symptoms to the daily log. That way improvements and regressions of symptoms could be tracked more easily. Thanks for this app, though. It is a helpful tool for us in figuring out food sensitivities for our daughter.

You may not want to UPDATE YOUR APP. This app worked fine until I did the most recent update that has a cloud backup. I could not back up successfully to the cloud because it currently only allows up to 64 characters for an item. I had to modify my item name to something shorter than what I originally input so that I could sync. The developer discovered this after I contacted them for help when my sync failed every time. I got quick and helpful assistance by emailing the company. The cloud backup is only to allow syncing between devices. You can’t sign in to the cloud data in a PC to review or edit. It is still possible to email yourself the data as a safety mechanism to ensure data isn’t lost from the app once you’ve signed up for cloud syncing, but it’s not obvious and there are currently not directions for how to do so in the User Manual or in the FAQ.

Great App!. It’s a great app, I️ like that you can track bowel movements and other symptoms, such as headaches, which are a huge problem for me. The reason that I’m not going to keep using this app is that when I scan an item 95% of the time it comes up as not in the system and I don’t have the time to type in all of the ingredients on every item that I scan because there are so many freaking ingredients in everything. Unfortunately it just takes all the convenience out of this app, unlike an app like MyFitnessPal, which will scan 99% of everything. I’m going to keep the app for now and then come back in a couple months to see if this has been fixed.

Sjögren’s and H-EDS and Fibromyalgia. This app is was easy to individualize especially after I was able to set it up. I still have a little trouble with reading the reports. It has detailed reports just not a good key legend to go with the reports. For me that is bot a deal breaker for using the app just a learning curve. I have Sjögren's Syndrome , H-EDS (Hyper-Mobility - Ehler’s-Danlos Syndrome), and Fibromyalgia on top of mental illnesses. This app allows me to track all my symptoms and what I eat on top of any movement and medication/supplement to help correlate what helps, what doesn’t and helps with needed adjustments. This app is amazing and easy once you get the hang of it! 🎉🎊🤗

Good app. I have a chronic illness and type one diabetes so being able to track all my symptoms both physical and mental is extremely helpful for myself and my doctors. I do wish you could view your diary and the first thing on top be the most recent item you posted not the first thing you posted from the day. It also asks for a lot of detail when you log anything which is time consuming and not something you can do super quick compared to other apps. But overall I’m pleased with it and would recommend it to others.

Life saver. I don't ever review apps, so that should say something about how great this one is! It's very easy to use and the reports are great for showing a doctor your symptoms! I wish there were more things in the database but that will come once more people use the app. I highly recommend for anyone needing to keep a food journal. I have tried COUNTLESS apps and notebooks but this is the only one that I actually kept up.

Good—almost great. This is a really good app. One thing keeping it from being great, though, is a way to “copy all” from one date to another. Sometimes I forget to put in my details for a couple of days, and then it takes forever to get it all in. And when you do a lot of batch cooking, like I do, you have a lot of repeat meals. Please add this function! Also—I would love to participate in the “feedback” option in the app, but it won’t let me because I don’t use an iOS based email. This leaves A LOT of people out, I’m sure. Otherwise, the best app I’ve found so far for recording foods and symptoms.

Impressive but no mcg. Just downloaded today and very impressed so far. There’s a lot of room for specifics but it still looks clean whether you have little or lots of data. My main complaint is that micrograms (mcg) are not listed as an option when selecting units for an ingredient. Also, the search function keeps freezing up, so I end up adding new ingredients that are probably already there.

Very useful, solid & reliable. For many, the app might be overkill, but which is worse -- features you don't use or features that aren't there? I've been a user for several years and am extremely happy with the app. On the 2 occasions I've needed support, they were fast, efficient, and effective. Highly recommended for food tracking and beyond. Sharing data between devices is fast, see less, and transparent.

Life saver!. It has been a real struggle for me to properly keep track of my symptoms and what I've eaten plus when I take my medications. I couldn't be more impressed with this app, my favorite feature is the unlimited amount of symptoms you can track. I've purchased other apps where they give you a maximum amount of symptoms, such as 5. Then they require you to pay more to upgrade. It's ridiculous. Thank you for making my life so much easier, and for helping me and my doctor keep track of my life.

So far so good!. I really like this app because I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to monitor some stomach issues and my migraines. I love that with a few clicks, I can have my symptoms, intensity and so much else right there, timestamped for review. I use this along with a photo journal where I track my food, and between the two I’m covered so I can be healthier and feel better. My wish list is only to have a photo food log here, too. Aside from that I’m glad I got this.

It’s good but could be amazing. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers… the UI has room for improvement, but my main issue is with the database. This app has great functionality but the db is lacking. This app would benefit greatly if it could integrate with other food trackers such as Lose it! Then I would only have to enter data once… Lose It has way more detailed data but it doesn’t have the other functionality this app has, which is what I really need right now. I will continue to use for a couple of months and see if it helps me identify issues with the food I eat.

So far pretty good.... Recently purchased to track my food symptoms for a variety of reasons. So far it seems pretty good, but there a few things I wish it had. I also tried out the Cara app and prefer the food entry here- but found Cara to be superior in tracking symptoms and providing options for each of the symptoms (such as mood (detailed things), sleep- how you feel when wake up etc). Also would like mensural cycles to be an option with detailed symptoms as this can play a huge role - even more so than food.

So easy to use!. This app is super easy to use, and is perfect for tracking foods/symptoms. ( I am on an elimination diet and need to track those things.) Within 15 minutes of purchasing, I had put in all items I had eaten for the day, along with adding the supplements I was taking. I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about--I read the directions when I first loaded up and was easily able to figure out how to get all my items put in.

Lacking a moderately extensive library of food & missing ethnic foods. I purchased this app to help track my diet for possible food intolerance because I really liked the idea of the ease of scanning a barcode to automatically add what I ate. (I usually don't pay for apps, I thought the convince was worth ~$3.) The issue though is that the amount of foods logged and connected to a barcode is not that impressive. Almost every food I've scanned, I've had to create my own instance of... On top of that there are not many "ethnic" foods already existing in the food library which is a real bummer. I am not sure I will continue using the app b/c it's ended up really time consuming to log every food.

Breastfeeding Mama. I am breastfeeding my baby and using this app to track how my food/drink intake affects the baby. I input my meals and drinks and then put in the symptoms of the baby and nap quality. The main things I’m tracking in my consumption to see if they affect baby are caffeine, dairy, conmen allergens, and alcohol. I mostly want to see how they affect the ease at which baby goes down for naps, sleep quality, fussiness, and digestive health. This app could be marketed to nursing mothers and be so useful! It would really help if you could add an input for “Nursed” or “Fed Baby”.

Perfect! I never pay but took the chance. So happy I decided to spend the money and buy this app. It tracks your symptoms your food your fluid intake whatever you wanna put in there exercise medication vitamins. One thing I would really like to see is an area where you can create a list of foods -symptoms of foods that you have a bad reaction to and able to share with doctor.

Unable to synchronize data between devices. I just started using the app, and I like it. It's a bit clumsy to input some of the data needed, but a lot of info is in their database. The stuff that's not takes a bit of a learning curve to create, and its done ONE STEP AT A TIME. But I'm betting that once the majority of info is inputted, it will be much easier for me. My biggest grip, at this time, is that i can't synchronize my data between my iphone and ipad. I just (maybe stupid on my part) assumed that I would be able to use whichever device is handy to input my data. And I DEFINITELY TO NOT WANT TO INPUT NEW DATA TWICE!!. I emailed the company about this issue and will get back to this review to update it when I get their response. Besides that, I believe it to be (while initially clumsy to get data into the database that is not presently there) a good app that will help me figure out the foods and symptoms correlation.

Confusing interface. Basically decent app but frustrating to use. There are many redundant listings for single food items and if I happen to choose a different example from the list than I did the last time they get counted as two separate items which messes up the analysis. I tried to just make my very own list to control the choices so I only ever see the exemplar I used before but it was almost impossible. I don’t care if it takes a while to create my own library of items if I could do it and never see the list of every entry other users have used. Otherwise the developers need to curate the list so if I choose a basic item from the list it is always the same thing. I turned out to have “flax seed” as well as “Flax seeds” as two separate items. I couldn’t remember which one I had used 2 weeks earlier. That’s incredibly frustrating. I get so aggravated that I’ve stopped using the app. Also it would be better to be able to look for correlations between symptoms as well. It should be possible to look for correlations between any category of data and any other.

Just what I needed! Love it!. I was looking for an easy way to track my food and symptoms. This app is perfect! So easy to use. Like other reviewers, I don't understand the people that had challenges. I think they didn't understand the basic, simple functionality. I've only used it for a few days now, so I haven't gotten to try the analysis portion but I'm interested to see if that works. For me that's just a bonus. I'm thinking I have to figure out this food/symptom mystery on my own. Speaking of bonuses, the app stores what you've eaten recently for breakfast, lunch, etc. so if you eat the same thing, it's extra easy to enter.

Exactly what I was looking for. I bought this app a few years ago and at the time thought it was merely ok and subsequently forgot about it. But rediscovered it when I needed to start a food/symptom/sleep/&c diary for a doctor and was delighted to find that it had evolved into exactly the app I wanted when I originally purchased it. Simple interface but comprehensive tracking capabilities without calorie counting or other nonsense. Well done.

Very useful. Love this app to track foods and symptoms. The pdf report is an awesome feature. Have not used it long enough (only a few days) to get reliable information correlating foods with symptoms but fully expect that feature to be useful based on what I’ve seen so far. Only holding back 5 stars because there isn’t an easy way to trend symptoms ie graphical representation over time of number or features of bowel movements/ symptoms. This would be very useful in tracking IBD flares.

Excellent App for Mindfulness!. So happy I found this app! 5 stars all the way! Previously I was keeping track of my food intake on a google doc to figure out some health issues. This app actually makes it fun to keep track of your symptoms and general mood all day long. It’s brought a lot of awareness around my food choices and subsequent mood shifts. I love that this app doesn’t count calories. It’s so much more interesting to remove the concept of high or low calories and just focus on how a certain food makes you feel! Way more intuitive than tedious calorie counting. I think using this app will lead to weight loss although it’s not the primary intent of the app.

Very clunky app. Very frustrating app to use. Paid for and downloaded it to record my meals prior to a doctors appointment but it is very clunky and won’t save entries. Gave up after continually trying to enter and save a couple of meals without success. Waste of money. Will resort to old fashioned writing the meals down on paper 🤨

Fantastic app; very helpful. This is a great app that works smoothly and delivers exactly what it promises. It is rich in features, super easy to use, and has great customisation options. Two things that would improve it and take it to the next level are the ability to enter how much of each food you've eaten and the ability to track nutrients in food (eg. how much magnesium am I consuming over the course of a day) as nutrient deficiencies are often the cause of symptoms. Another would be to add how long a symptom lasted in the main day view (eg. 9am - 4.15pm). Thanks! Keep up the great work.

So convenient. Love this app! Great list of existing foods and range of other useful criteria to track my symptoms - which is customizable. Shows lost if favorites first for each criteria - so less taps to enter as I build up my list. Really easy to use. Great reporting - easy to email PDF across date range. Everything is timestamped - again which I can change. Really worth it - so much easier than keeping a paper diary.

Fantastic App. I love this app. My GP asked me to keep a food diary to assist in identifying potential allergens. The problem I was having was I kept forgetting my paper diary and by days end I would forget a lot of the details. This app works for me because I carry my phone always so can update my diary as I go which means I'm getting a really accurate account. It's great that you can add your own personal symptoms to the list and can as other factors such as exercise, environmental conditions and stress and sleep quality. This app s working really well for me, I see my specialist next week and can produce a PDF version of my diary to help identify my allergies. So grateful for this app.

Diary report. I find this app easy to use to record my daily diet intake and the capacity to report on other areas of my life - makes it relevant to how I react to various foods. Although I’m not quite sure how to record outcomes from the diary. The other aspect that is good is the easy way to share your diary report with my health practitioner

Great app!. Was asked by doctor to keep a diary of my food intake, easy done with this app and great report print outs. Had issue with opening app which turned out to be a problem with with my phone not the app, app support via email provided a fix within 1day of contacting them! Great work!

Highly recommended. Great app, really useful. Would like to see an option to modify a composite item without changing the past. Say I've run out of garlic; I make my usual tuna casserole without it, but if I modify the ingredient list it takes garlic out of all past tuna casseroles as well. Give me an option not to apply retrospectively? Otherwise, loving this app. Thank you!

Well thought out app - easy to use. I need to use a food diary to track everything while the RPA allergy unit are testing me for food intolerances. They recommended it to me & it is fantastic. I love how you can add recipes to make the process quicker & being able to copy items from a previous day is a huge timesaver. Being able to add notes & environment changes really gives a clear picture in case symptoms are more environment related than food related. I'm not sure I have found anything on this app that I think could be improved which is really rare. Great app!!

Excellent app. Really good app. A few minor tweaks would make it even more useful. Major one is allowing a comment section under all events eg I need to track issues relating to bowel movements other than the Bristol Scale and cannot currently do that. Still working with the app and getting used to it. Will post other suggestions later. Generally speaking a good solution to my problem.

The best up to now. I have used most free food diaries and was let down by over complicated or under-thought interfaces. Also hated the online signup think. This up is user friendly and clutter free with all layers of info you need to follow up your habits and their symptoms. Design is s bit blunt though. Improvement: Less steps from choosing the food to adding it in the diary. When I click "+" it could just add it to my day list and skip middle stage. Great app overall!

Good in its category but could use a lot more. I've tried a few apps now to track my IBD. This is probably the best, yet it feels a lot to be desired. The UC is quite clunky and you find yourself tapping a lot. It's frustrating to get prompted every time to make an entry public or private. Barcode scanner barely works. Feels like there are three different ways to track bowl movements ... why not just one?! These are all areas for improvement despite that nobody seems to have built a better app so stick with this if you want to track your IBD and hope it improves!

Great but needs a little more. Such an easy to use app and very comprehensive. Great for keeping track of meals and symptoms for chrons disease and other bowel problems. Just needs a larger database, but after using the app adding your regular items is a breeze! Have been suggesting it to my doctors to recommend it!

Fantastic app!. Only used this app briefly but already it's looking very good. Will update with more details in the coming week. Update: this app actually makes keeping a food diary possible , once your in the habit it only takes a minute to pop in your entries. The developers are keen and interested in feedback: a new feature for item brand-names/flavors is coming soon too!

Amazing. Thank you so much for creating this app. So easy to input symptoms, food, medication and the ability to convert to a PDF report is great. Highly recommended

Great. Fantastic App. Is helping me on my way to my goals. I use this App just to record the food I eat and the exercise I do. I know it is more than a food diary. But it is the well set out out easy to use and I love the print out that you can do. This is just amazing. Thankyou. I can't rate it high enough.

If I could give it 10 stars I would. This is the best app I have ever downloaded. I have an auto immune condition and over the years been asked to track symptoms/ diet countless times by specialist. Because I make 90% of my own food though and tend to graze every couple of hours I never stuck to recording it properly, if be too busy with work to stop and lest every thing i put in my mouth and every symptom. With this app though it just has been so simple. It remembers everything you have recorded in the past so I found after the fist couple of days it was very quick to add things.. Adding the symptoms and medication is very easy too. I'm looking forward to taking the PDF report to my doc tonight . The report prints all you meals/symptoms/meds, and anything else you want to record in chronological order with nice little symbols next to them. It will be the most comprehensive thing I've ever given to her. I have downloaded other apps like this before but they always were too complicated/ took too much setting up time... This one is perfect... THANKYOU

So much easier than paper food diaries. Great app! So much easier than paper food diaries. Already starting to confirm food intolerances I suspected, but never had accurately tracked to prove. It's also making me more aware of the ingredients (especially preservatives) to bought products. I'm able to track for my kids too as it has a multiple user function. Thanks for a great app!

Does all the hard yakka for you. This little app takes out the guesswork and difficulty of food logging by doing the research for you. All you need to do is make sure you record as much info as possible. The more you log stuff in, the more accurate it becomes. I love the ability to add your own personal symptoms, new items and menus. I've even included dreaded additives and colouring agents to my list.

No Start/Stop ability. Recording duration based things is quite a chore, seeing I have to work out the duration. It would be a lot easier to be able to tap something upon start and finish of an event. E.g enter a “started feeling symptoms” event, later be able to say “stopped feeling symptoms”, and let the computer sitting in our hands do the math for the duration, instead of us humans.

Great app but needs more menu items!. Excellent app for keeping track of my diet/symptoms whilst trying to work put the cause of my ongoing stomach problems, however I feel like I have to add items all the time, I.e, coffee (black, flat white, instant - all different amounts/types), fruit bread, soy milk, sausages... It would also be good to be able to add symptoms, for example reflux, dizziness and wind (! As often this occurs without prior bloating). But other than that great for keeping track!

Limited functionality. The database needs a cleanup with so many duplicate items. It’s not possible to edit items incorrectly entered. Very few Australian items too, be prepared to be doing a lot of data entry.

Fantastic app. I’m loving it, so easy to keep track of eating patterns and symptoms. The best feature is the ability to easily email the pdf to my dietitian for review 10/10

I ❤️ this App!!!!. I was diagnosed with a auto-immune disease & so many Dr’s kept asking me to keep a food/symptom diary but its so difficult & i’d always forget my diary & pen to write things down! This app is so convenient & being able to email the report as a PDF is so easy & a god-send!!! Thank you to whoever invented this app!

Baroness. This app is very useful and well programmed. A suggestion: enable quantity to be factored in. For example if I eat a small amount of lentils it's ok but a large amount is not. I may want to check how the amount of potato I eat is affecting me etc. Could be difficult to program but it would significantly boost the utility of this app. As it is, the app gets top marks for what it can do already.

My go to Food Diary App!!. I am working on a diagnosis for IBS and was asked to track my food triggers and symptoms. This App is brilliant for this purpose. I can even add extra information and categories suitable to my needs. I ditched the other food diary app I had in favour of this one as it allows for a comprehensive overview of each meal based on the info I enter. Highly recommend if you need to keep a food /symptom diary. I showed it to my dietitian who was impressed with it too. A fantastic, brilliant and comprehensive app. Thanks developers.

Messy. Should be able to order things in order of most likely correlated with confidence. It’s ok for now but I’ll change when I have time to hunt down something better

.. This app will help u record everything from symtoms to what u ate to what meds u take and more! I was told by my dietition to make a food diary.. This app does everything short of adding the data itself.. Then you can see ur results to see abd trends or u can convert it to a great pdf format to give to any professional u like! Does what it says... And more so!... Thanks!

Good app.. App is great!! As anyone knows, keeping a diary of foods etc is a tedious process however if you have a good think about what your going to enter and where then take the time to put in sufficient data at the beginning, it'll pay off in the long run. I haven't yet figured a way to print select information (eg. Just milk/dairy products) and generate trending graphs..... maybe you can't... If you could it would be awesome.

Recipes. I would like to be able to enter recipes for future use and save them

User friendly. Yet to gather enough data for meaningful insights, but so far very intuitive, quick and user-friendly with enough detail to add but not too much.

Life changing!. Having gone through years of trying to find a common denominator with what particular food items were upsetting me, this app pointed me in the right direction after a few weeks of entering data. I’m so impressed with the functionality of the app. It has great ease of use and you can decide how much detail you enter. Entering data on the move is easy and if it’s used consistently for a period of time, you will soon see patterns forming. It helped me to discover that I am Lectin intolerant. After years of dietitians and various diets including FODMAP. Another plus is the technical support. I raised a question late one night and received a response immediately. Awesome customer service. Well worth the small price - if only I found it three years ago!

Comprehensive and easy to use. The only improvement I would make is adding the ability to track calories, macros and weight

Great app. I struggled with digestive problems for around a year and was not able to identify where the issue was. Including several visits to doctors and a few tests. Within two weeks this app pointed out a link between my symptoms and dairy. Turns out I am lactose intolerant. I have changed my diet and it is great. No more pain!

Just what the doctor ordered. I was surprised to find this app because I thought my list of requirements was too large - Obviously many others had the same requirements as me. This app is perfect for my needs as a food diary and tracking IBS (or related condition) symptoms. I can personalize it by creating my own events or outcomes to monitor within the app. I would recommend this for even just using as a food diary. If the next update includes my suggestions for improving the interface and backing up data to iCloud, then it will be perfect and get 5 stars. For now only 4½ but highly recommended, nothing better.

Simple to use and track activities. I've found the app quite simple and intuitive to use to track my diet and bodily symptoms. The export feature provides a simple method to send my medical professional the data I have entered. It is definitely worth the price.

Wonderful app. Provides answers over both short and long term about what foods might be causing symptoms such as eczema and irritable bowel syndrome. Far more fine grained and accurate than my doctor or naturopath are. Analysis tool is excellent as I've been able to pinpoint possible problem foods. Looking forward to a longer term analysis and hoping that cutting out some of the foods that show up as problems might reduce my symptoms. I hope the developers are doing some research on the results!

Excellent App. I used this app during my recovery from an autoimmune disease to track my symptoms and diet. My treatment team found the data very valuable (very easy to export and email). I particularly liked the freedom to add variables and measure whatever I wanted over time as well as the tool to view my data on a graph. 5 stars.

Love the app! Status option can be added. Absolutely love the app. Especially multiple users. I use then for my kids who have allergies and intolerance in food. Great application! Exactly what i'm looking for! Improvements suggested: - add an item called status which I can write a note about the test result, good sleep or good status i can put in etc. - the symptoms item under the notes should show up in the record display. - the notes section of each item should show up in the record as well.

Waaaay better than just a pen and paper. Pretty good. Worth the price.

I love it!. This is a fantastic app! It lets you not only record foods you eat, but also digestive symptoms, energy, sleep etc. it is also customisable. If something isn't listed, you can just add it in. And once you've got it in, you can easily pull out a report to look at or take to your doctor.

Comprehensive but not user friendly. I like the stats that can pinpoint the foods etc that may be causing symptoms but inputting the data is not user friendly. Using copy instead of add is not intuitive. It would be good if you could import recipes directly from the web like calorie counter apps can do. Actually if the platform for data entry could be the sakes the calorie counting app I use that would be so much better

Brilliant!. This app is very user friendly, it does everything I need and after using it for a week my entries are so quick to input. Fantastic value for what it does, I couldn't be happier. There has been a lot of thought put into this & for that I am very grateful! I doubt anyone could be disappointed in what this app has to offer. THANKYOU!

Best App I have purchased. I have only just started using this app with the aim to find the cause of my food allergies & digestion issues...but I'm blown away with how good it is so far! Love the ability to PDF my food diary & restore data between devices simply. I'm pretty sure it's the best paid or free app I have ever downloaded. Thank you!

Needs apple health integration. It’s pretty good but one thing I would like is to have apple health integration. Otherwise, very useful

Easy to use. Great app that is easy to use. Easy to navigate. Has everything that you need.

Ok diary app. Works for people having to track ingredients and symptoms for FODMAP elimination. It’s pretty time consuming to enter the info since the UX isn’t well thought out and a bit illogical (and searching is awful) but once you have done the painful part of creating your favourite foods and recipes then it’s not so bad. Wish it also included calorie and nutritional information so you could track all your food stats in one app to make sure you’re not under-eating. At the moment I have to use 3 apps to manage my difficult diet, with a better design this could replace 2 in one go.

Perfect. Fantastic. Sometimes, the cause of minor health issues is not obvious until all lifestyle components are recorded for trend analysis. This app does exactly that perfectly. Easy to use, and fast once favorites are configured. 5stars :)

My favourite app!. I have been searching for and trying apps to record my food diary for a while until I found this app. This app can not only recording items efficiently but also very flexible to configure to meet my own needs. I use it every day!

Will be hard to beat. This can be as simple or as complicated as the user wants to make it. Unlike other food diaries I've tried, this one includes time of intakes as well as time of "event". I like that it will correlate "stew" and then separately correlate the separate ingredients so you can see which one is the culprit. After using it for a couple of weeks, adding data is routine. I suspect it will take a bit longer for the analyses to give proper answers and trends. All in all a useful app - recommended.

Great idea but needs serious improvements. This app has the potential of becoming an excellent tool in uncovering allergies. As it is now it is chaotic and time consuming to use with unnecessary repetitive task. Entering new foods and categories of foods is a frustrating and unintelligent task. Adding and editing food to favourites also needs improvements. Using the barcode scan is like playing the lottery if you are unlucky it will not work. It definitely does not work with iPad. It works sometimes with iPhone. The barcode scan adds numbers to the item scanned but does not populate the information. This is totally useless. I could keep on writing about the unintelligent fails for quite a while. Writing to support is a waste of time as you get an automated reply telling you that they are not able to answer you. For now I will be looking elsewhere but in a year or so I will revisit it.

Helpful with food sensitivities. It's easy to track your food, and symptoms, very helpful able to print out the PDF great feature.

Incredible flexibility. Love this app. It’s the only one I’ve found that truly allows for the flexibility to track exactly what you’re going through. I love the attribution ability it has. They don’t mention it in the features but you can create custom symptoms (take not devs, I’m quite sure I’m not the only one that wondered about this prior to purchase). Super happy though. I’d love to see some minor updates to the interface but generally it’s been all I could hope for.

Wow!! Fantastic app!. Very impressed with this app. So easy to track foods and symptoms. I tried a couple of other free apps first and finally decided to buy this one hoping it would be better, and I was definitely happily surprised! well done!

Can't save anything or Add items. App would be great if the saving recipes, food, Workouts could work ! The organizer doesnt work at all !

Good app. I like the ease of using it and the ability to scan foods. But really want to use iCloud sync.

Good app. Useful for inputting food items and symptoms, but am doubtful of the results provided by their analyzer. Still an efficient way to track though!

Useful, but. I have used this app for a number of years and found it to be a somewhat useful tool, but after you have used this app for awhile, it gets a little frustrating that you can not group symptoms. Scrolling down a list is not very appealing.

Super helpful. This app is easy to use, after just a week of using it I can already see patterns emerging!

Barely usable. So clunky and barely usable- save your money!

Easy to Use. Tried about 5 different apps as well as trying different ways to keep a manual health and symptoms log. Logging in a notebook was really inconvenient and changes or forgotten adds made a mess. All the apps had glitches, or were not intuitively useful, or were more complicated than needed, or just didn’t have the features I needed or organized in the way I needed them. This one so far has been all NOT that. Thank you.

Amazing! perfect!. I love your app. It's is exactly what the doctor ordered! As a person with a chronic illness that is hugely affected by food, the combination of all the things you can enter is perfect! Thank you! :)

Latest update erased all my data. Please help!!!!!

Really like it. Easy to use easy to track. I quite enjoy the app!

Crashes every time I open it. I used to love this app, but now it crashes all the time.

Probably the best in its category. Has a bit of a learning curve and all the options can be a bit overwhelming, but is much more versatile than most other apps.

Excellent. Simple to use, quick to enter the data, flexible: you can change the symptoms you are tracking; also appreciate the ability to scan bar codes. Very useful- just what I was looking for.

Thank you for this App!. Thank you so much for this app! I have had it and used it for one week. It is very easy to use and conveniently defaults your regular food items when you are entering what you eat so it is quick and easy to do. If a food you eat isn’t in the app you can add the bar code and details for yourself and other users of the app. This app has already helped me to identify a food I react to and am feeling better without it. The evidence and patterns this app track are so helpful. I wish I started using it sooner!

great idea but.... where is the icloud sync? lost alll my data doing an iphone restore!

Very useful. I have only had this app for a few days but I am very happy with it. I have always tried journaling all this information (food, mood, BM) but I’m not always carrying my journal around or remember the specific times of events. This app allows me to easily record and is visually helpful in noting how each of these topics are connected

Analysis function isn’t great but the app is still helpful!. The analysis function tends to give me suggestions about what’s causing my symptoms that I know are inaccurate as they don’t occur every time, but the app has been great for my own personal use and working towards discovering food triggers

Awesome. Thank goodness someone finally made an app with statistics to help navigate the maze of trigger foods. I’m SO thankful. The only thing I wish is that you you sort results up/down or they gave percentages and that there is a way to make « almond » the same as « almonds » so you get better results, either way best their is available right now!!

Useless for any analysis. Cannot get any trending data and that’s why I need this and enter data multiple times every day! Been over a month and app still tells me there is insufficient data to generate any analysis! Forget it

Good app. Could use more reporting/analysis options

Perfect. This app is exactly what I needed. I wish I could add more categories for example blood pressure and glucose but I just add it under other , i love the ability to add notes.

*Very* good app. I’m using this app every day and it’s super handy. One small nit: I wish there was an easy way to find past meals so that I can copy them. (If I know I ate the exact same meal 2 weeks ago, I have to hunt for it to be able to copy it)

A Pleasure to use. It is so hard to keep track of your food intake but this app makes it easy. Plus you can record your symptoms and as they happen and look back and see what you ate the day before to cause these symptoms. Recording the type of bowel movement as part of the app is so helpful for IBS.

Not a bad app.. The data it collects is helpful if you're trying to figure out what habits are causing which symptoms. Too bad there's not enough info in the program - you can't bar scan anything because there's no items imputed there. There's also too many steps to go through, it could be streamlined better I think. All in all, not a bad app, but could use some work.

Just What I need!. Am very happy with this app so far. I just started it a couple of days ago. I am hoping I can be persistent in recording my criteria regularly. If nothing else it'll make me more aware of what I'm putting in my mouth. Will write another review after I've used it a bit longer. Thank you to the producers of this app for taking the time to create it. It has a lot of detail you can record if you so choose. October 17, 2016 I still love this app! I had a hip replacement recently and I have a digestive issue so I've been able to record all the data required so I'll be able to show my dietician at my next appt. the end of this month. I am able to record all my meds, exercise, foods I eat, bathroom results, drinks, supplements, symptoms (of course), drinks, stress level, sleep quality. It exports easily to a PDF file which I'll print out for my next appt. I am very grateful for and happy with this app! I highly recommend it!

Love this app!. This app will be and has been very useful for me to find the foods that correlate to my symptom onset! When looking at the “report” section I thought maybe some of the analysis part of the app would be a part of it, but it’s not. So that was a little disappointing. Other than that, this app has exceeded my expectations, thank you!!

Great app!. Great way to track food and symptoms, tons of details. It's clear that the food and drink database is strictly added by users. It would be nice to not have to add a food to the database every time. A more robust database would be appreciated.

Extremely useful app.. I have suffered from IBS complications for years and have tried researching diets, keeping written notes and I had given up. This app helps me do everything in one easy place. It is extremely knowledgeable and I look forward to improving my symptoms.

Perfection. Exactly what I needed to track diet, exercise, medication and supplements. I love that it simply records the data without judgmental ‘motivation’ goals telling you to eat more/less or whatever. It is simple to use, and simple to add items to the database. I really think this will help me a lot as my health practitioners are sorting through a few different diagnoses. Thanks!

Good Idea Falls Short. There are a lot of good ideas here but this app falls short primarily on its extraordinarily complex and non-standard input interface. And, frankly I couldn't understand its analysis/results screen despite reading the help page on how to interpret it twice. I agonized with this app for about 7 weeks before giving up. I don't understand the need for all the input options. Instead of 7 food/drink input options there should be 3, food, drink, medicine. I don't see how it helps differentiating by the name of the meal. All that should be relevant is the time. For symptoms, the time is difficult to input. You should be able to put in a start and end time. But, no, this app insists on a start time and a 'duration', forcing me to do math each time. Symptom durations are arbitrarily limited to 24 hours. Sometimes my primary symptoms lasted longer than 24 hours. The sheer number of Inputs requires for one food item is astounding. I understand that detail can be important but it usually isn't. This app forces you through too many detail screens for each input. When adding a new item or ingredient if you press 'done' the new item is deleted. Instead you are supposed to scroll down and click 'add new item'. What the? Why can't done mean done. If the user wants to cancel there should be a cancel option. These are just a few of the apps shortcomings. It is a great idea but it truly needs a complete UI overhaul focused on efficient entry. And the analysis screen needs to be comprehensible. Otherwise what's the point!

Well done. Great app, easy to use, recommend linking in Heath apps to load exercising automatically

Thoroughly Impressed. I’m actually amazed. I never thought I’d see an app that’s so well-designed. The interface is user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing, the User Guide and FAQ (within the app) are graciously written, and they even have a feature that allows you to email the developers directly to “suggest an improvement.” Never have I encountered (an) app developer(s) who cares so much about their users. I’m thoroughly impressed, and I’m eager to see what features they roll out in future updates. Great job with this app, and thank you for putting it out there.

lacks product library. honestly none of my GF products that i’m eating show up when i search for them and i spend too much time inputting the information which is also cumbersome because there are similar products. this app needs more people inputting products that people eat in order to be effective. i just skip things because i dont have time to add the ingredients of a specific trail mix or we i’m eating. m i cant see myself using this app long enough to get information that would help me.

Very useful. This is the app I have been looking for in order to possibly find links between food and symptoms. Plus, I can easily make a pdf for my GP or acupuncturist so they can see a bigger picture. HOWEVER, i was disappointed to find that I can't enter data between my phone and ipad. So, choose wisely which device as you can't currently edit and add info on more than one device even with the app installed in both. App developers, please rectify this pronto. Otherwise, terrific and Would be 5 stars.

Database. Food database is almost empty

Quick & easy to use. Provides useful insights into cause and effect (FODMAP foods & symptoms, exercise), as you collect the data

Easy to use. I use this app daily. Very easy to use.

Excellent App!!. Excellent App. Easy to use. Great at tracking meals and correlating what you ate back to your symptoms. It at least gives "food for thought" to enable you to identify possible culprits. Happy with my purchase. Excellent job App Dev Team!!!

Satisfied as it does what I need. This app is what I needed to figure out what foods were causing my gastrointestinal symptoms. It works great for that simply because it's a diary of everything I eat. I don't find the analysis helpful because it doesn't make any sense to me. To print you send yourself a PDF and then you open that in your mail and print over wifi. The printout is professional looking, in colour, and it even shows your notes. I love the printout.

Helpful. This app is an aid to me , It helps me keep track of my multiple symptoms ! I am able to track meals symptoms , stress, sleep and bowel movements , which is crucial with my diseases.

Pretty good. I like the level of detail I can add to this app, and really appreciate that there's NO mention of calories, which is rare in a food tracking app. However, I'd love to see a calendar view that shows patterns: how often you ate a certain food, what time your meals were, etc.

this app will make you sick with stress. If you want to spend an hour a day going thru the minutia of your meals and poop this is the app for you. far from intuitive, this app requires a level of patience and detail that makes it totally impractical to use, guess Iam back to good old pen and paper

Good app. I found this app pretty easy to use. Better than the app I had been using previously. It did take a little work to find the analysis and add additional items, but all in all I like it it will stay with it. Miss the fact that it has no iCloud sync. It would be nice to be able to input on my iPhone and then sync with my iPad later at home.

NOT IPAD FRIENDLY. I spent two days logging everything I could and then went to look at the results. There is a lack of functionality for my iPad. You also cannot login on different devices so once you start tracking on one system you are stuck using that one. I could not get any detailed reports. Had a good beginning but the dismount sucked.

Love this!. You have made this sooooo user friendly. Great way to track food, sleep, and symptoms!

No idea if it works properly. Despite being spammed almost daily, I have waited a couple weeks to try to give a fair review. The app is great for recording everything (except for some confusion with duplicate items) but you really have no idea if it is useful for determining the cause of anything. The app doesn't explain what to do.

Communication with doc so much better. I was going to try to make a spreadsheet that would do all this. Thank goodness I didn’t have to! I am using the ap to manage Crohn’s symptoms and food intake to share with my doc as we adjust meds. This is such an important and helpful tool. I am so grateful and appreciate the reasonable price.

Impressed times ten. Completely impressed with this app and how easy it is to use with both iPhone and iPad access. My big wish is to see weight added as a choice instead of putting it in other. 5stars and my first review ever - that’s how much I love it.

Easy to use and all the right data collected. This app is easy to use and has all the right data collected. I am working with a nutritionist and send her all the data before my appointment. Works seamlessly. I have tried other methods and this one is perfect for my needs.

After one week. I need to wait for a few months to see how valuable the analysis function is, but after a week of use, I can give a 5 star. I’m able to track everything I need plus add symptoms to my needs. Easy to use! Works consistently after one week.

Good, but needs iCloud sync. I like the app and will continue to use it, but it really needs iCloud sync. Maybe I’m not a typical user, but I literally use five different iOS devices throughout the day. It’s a pain to drop the device I’m using to find my phone. There are gaps in my data because I don’t always have the device with mySymptoms on it.

Worth every cent!. This app is a total game changer. Easy to use and customize. Covers all the bases for easily documenting foods (including barcode scan), mood, symptoms, meds and more! The only thing I’d add is glucose monitoring (I added it under symptoms) and QR scanning for foods. Thank you for an excellent product.

Very useful. I like this app a lot! It has a lot of different factors you can add like, food, supplements, sleep, and a lot more. I have tried to keep food diaries in the past but having to hand write everything is very annoying. I started using it not too long ago so I'm not sure how the actual graph and everything will work but so far I'm super happy with it!

Yes!. My dr asked me to keep a dIly log of over ten symptoms while we play with medications, supplements, and diet. So, I googled "app to track symptoms." The first one I tried was free and did not work. My symptoms is 2.99 and perfect! This app does everything I want and more. It is easy to use, clean design, and extremely helpful. Thanks for making it!

Good, with suggestions for improvement. Great app. Easy to add foods, and a wide selection are already included. Should add “gas” as a symptom. Need to add spell check/auto correct on food options. Adding food isn’t super intuitive, but it wasn’t too difficult. This would be fantastic if it added the nutritional values and could track that too. (like a My Fitness Pal). Combine the two so the user isn’t entering what they eat into two different apps.

So far so good!. I appreciate the amount of work that has gone into this app. Have only been using a few weeks but have been religiously logging my events and outcomes. Love how you can adjust the parameters and see correlations. That would be great if there were an online app and all instances of the app would sync across platforms. Otherwise, hats off top the developers - it beats having to enter all the information in a spread sheet - this is a timesaver!

Great for understanding Heath patterns. I had intestinal surgery twice in 2019 and I have very limited diet as a result . I like the fact that I can log certain foods and see patterns of what may trigger nausea , heartburn etc. there are also useful tools as I can run a report over specified period of time . I wish it had more detailed reporting that I could customize more to my liking .

Really wanted to love this app!. ***updated*** Giving this app another try after learning how to add new items. Will update my review when I see how it works. I have high hopes! I am so disappointed. I was really hoping this app would help me but it doesn’t allow you to add ingredients and since it is missing even common ingredients such as green onions (not listed under scallions either). I have to follow the Autoimmune Protocol diet and it very restricted. I am forced to eat and cook with lots of ingredients not in the app. This wouldn’t be problem if I could add ingredients but there isn’t any way to do so.

Just what I needed!. I’m A private chef for a woman who has severe food allergies that change on a regular basis. I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to log food and keep track of reactions. There is a little learning curve to learning this app. I did feel the instructions weren’t completely understandable. Is there there away to sync 2 users of iPhones to the same diary without using iTunes?

Algorithm doesn’t handle frequent short lived symptoms. This is a visually appealing app that clearly works for people but for my use case I have not found it very useful. It’s nice you can log each event, but if you want to log discrete symptoms that occur frequently during the day, such as stomach gas, then the algorithm does not work. The analysis will basically report that every food is a factor for your symptoms. Even if you log the symptom as high intensity it makes no difference. It appears the algorithm only works for long duration events. For my use case the algorithm is useless. I’d like to see the algorithm take into account how many times in one day a symptom occurs, rather than how long each symptom lasts. It would be a relatively easy configuration change so I hope the developers consider it. I’ve gone back to using a pen and paper.

Great for symptom tracking. I don’t think my problems are related to diet, but I find this app really useful for tracking how I’m feeling and what kind of symptoms I’m having and then later cross referencing that data with a variety of other data points such as weather, pollen count, medications and supplements taken, etc. Overall a great app and the devs are very responsive.

Amazing App. This App is really great for tracking everything going on so you can better understand your body. I have been struggling with many symptoms for years and finally found this app to help me record it all. You can get a pdf copy of the items you’ve tracked to take to your doctor. Highly recommend!

Still the Best. There's a few other good options out there, but if you want comprehensive body tracking – everything from symptoms to what you eat – this app is for you. It's not the prettiest to look at, and doesn't have any Apple Health integration as of yet, but I'm hoping it will be updated soon. All in all, it's still a 5-star app in my book. Excellent work devs!

5 stars. The first time I tried to rate this fantastic app it submitted before I finished and “only” sent 4 stars. (Hopefully that won’t skew the ratings.) But this app is worth every single star, as it’s absolutely terrific, does everything it supposed to, is easy -almost fun to use and extraordinarily helpful if you’re dealing with food sensitivities.

Great App for Food/Symptom Journaling. I have a chronic illness and this app has helped me gain some clarity about my trigger foods and activities. I also have more clarity about the medications and activities that help. I recommend it to friends who are feeling generally crappy and don’t know why.

Has issue with update resolved. I had an issue with the update and thought all my data had been lost. The developer very promptly worked with me to resolve the issue! This app is crucial as I work through determining allergy triggers. Great app and support!

Great but I hope they add 1 feature.. I would give this 5 stars if they had a way to memorize meals with portion size. I have some meals that I eat very frequently, especially during the work week and wish I could just have them memorized instead of adding each part of it in with portions each time. If they I add this I will give it 5 stars!

Needs a greater food database. There are problems though. Their food database is very limited. I admit I haven’t used it religiously and would probably like it more, if I did, but the food database is so limited that I find it easier to log food and notes into the MyFitnessPal app. Obviously the problem there is the whole or main purpose for this app, which is to find out what’s making you sick. I will use it more frequently when they upgrade the database.

Frustrating. I have this app on 2 devices but the information doesn’t transfer from one to the other. So I can’t enter item in my iPad and see them later on my iPhone. All of my other FREE apps work and communicate with each other, not sure why this one doesn’t. I stopped using it because of this and feel it was a waste of money for something I never use but need.

Helped me. Decent app for recording eating habits and symptoms. It helped me discover my allergy issue. The pre-populated food list is small, but it is easy to add more that are specific to your diet. The analysis tool is somewhat helpful, I'm not sure I quite understand exactly how to use it, but it does provide some information and symptoms related to food over time.

Solving the hard problems. The only problem I have with it is the quality of crowdsourced data. As an architect myself, that’s a very tough problem to solve in an ethical way. Sourcing quality data at scale would be a massive expense; moderators would introduce bias and liability; etc. Overall, SkyGazer has done a great job polishing this app over the years. I’d love to see an API, too!

Excellent so far. I just started using this up two days ago and so far I am extremely impressed. Still learning my way around it, but it is very user-friendly and incredibly well put together. Thank you!

Consistent crash after new update. Please add snap a photo option, it will help a lot. Also the email myself a PDF function is great. I bring my weekly report to my dr to adjust my diet and food allergy. It will much better if it also print out the ingredients of the food, otherwise there is no point to record the ingredients if it can't be printed out.

Easy and convenient to use. This app has made my life of food tracking so much easier. I used to print diary pages that often didn’t have room for everything. This is so much easier, and my food diary is always with me, so I don’t forget to report anything.

Age issues. This app is great! I use it for myself with great results. Unfortunately, the app is rated for 17+. That mean my teenage daughter, who really needs to use the app cannot. Her devise set to an appropriate age for her to protect her for the not so nice things out there. The rating on this app makes no sense and it dilutes its usefulness. I wish they would change the rating so teens who are struggling with food sensitivities could benefit.

Disappointing and buggy. I bought this hoping this would be good app based on reviews. I did my first log and the next time I tried to log, it crashed. I exited and went back in and it crashed again. I couldn’t even open it. I tried to send the bug info for reporting and it wouldn’t do anything - it had error messages. In fact, I kind of also suspicious of malware with this app. Very disappointed that I wasted money and time on this.

Very useful app, missing a blood pressure field. I like the layout of this app, and the fact there are no ads popping up. It took a couple of days to get the hang of it. I wish it had a field to enter blood pressure readings, but there is a work-around using the “Other” field which serves as a catch-all for any category you need.

Very helpful app!. It takes time to learn how to use this app effectively, but with use it becomes easier. The ability to delete a mistake in an entry has issues: "delete all entries" throughout the database is not what I need to see when I have made a typographical error. The docs seem universally impressed with the reports generated by the app.

Great for tracking lifestyle. I got this app so I could keep a diary of food, symptoms, and mood. It's just right and will help my nutritionist and I use some real data to make sense of things. The only thing I might change is the ability to track fat, calories, etc. Really though, it's been a great tool.

Perfect for finding root causes. I love this app! I no longer need it as allergies were ruled out as the cause of my hives, but when I thought I had an allergy I was able to quickly and accurately track the data I needed. I’m a data scientist so any app that gives consumers insights into their data in such a nice and easy format is a win in my books!

Like how I can add custom tags but export option needs work. Like how I can add custom tags and export option! Only gripe is the csv export adds multiple columns when you have more than one item per type. Such as adding multiple symptoms at once. It should add new rows, not columns. Makes the csv unusable and spent long time cleaning up the data.

Helpful App. This is an extremely helpful app. You get out of it what you put into it. My only need is for a dedicated specific place to record my weight and the ability to see it on the day’s log to reduce key strokes. If you all could do that I’d be happy.

Easy to use - has everything. If you are trying to manage a lot of symptoms (or even a few) this is the best app I’ve found for helping to figure out and identify the causes of common digestive and stress related problems. The database of food items is quick and easy to use/add and they have a barcode scanner to quickly log things.

The App I have been looking for. Recovering from rectal cancer surgeries with severe bowel issues. Able to track bowel movements, food intake, medication, LARS symptoms with ease. Existing data base of food and medications is outstanding. This is the perfect documentation to be able to show my doctors just what I am going through complete with pain levels and frequency of symptoms. Perfect for Lower Anterior Resection Syndrome (LARS) patients.

Helped me at the lowest times. I absolutely love this app. I’ve been using it for just about three years now, and I can’t foresee a time that I won’t use it. It helped my doctor diagnose a stomach ulcer, and thanks to the ability to export diary entries to my dietitian, has kept me on track with my FODMAP diet. PLEASE integrate with MyFitnessPal and Fitbit! That’s the only way you could improve this beauty of an app. Thank you so much 🙏🏻

Great, but one problem. I'm writing a review in the hope that the maker will notice and fix this one problem. When you go to enter notes on any entry in the diary section, you cannot see the note you are typing. It is only visible after you click done. PLEASE find a way to fix this annoying error in an otherwise very nice program!

Wish it integrated with Health app. This app is great, but it would be so much better if it integrated with the Health app and the Fitness app. I don’t want to enter my workouts here when they’re already logged in Fitness, and Health tracks my sleep quality. For mySymptoms to be a 5 star app, it should sync this data so we don’t have to enter it twice.

You have to do a lot of work yourself. I didn’t realize that I’d have to input the ingredients of the food I eat, much less the basic nutritional information, for a $6 app - the advertising made it seem like the app database had knowledge about most products sold in American stores so that it would effectively be able to track the impact of different ingredients. So it is significantly less useful to me as what I thought it was when I bought it. Oh well

Almost perfect!. I have had this app for yeaaaars and it helped with me documenting autoimmune issues for validity for docs when being dismissed. When I went for a second option - having all of this logged helped tremendously. The only drawback is I can’t also add photos to the diary - which would be amazing. Just a tip for maybe an update!!! It would be awesome to be able to log this aspect in life.

Best app for tracking symptoms. I’ve been using this app for over a year and it’s been great! I’ve tried many other similar type apps and this one is by far the easiest and most useful. If you have health issues I highly recommend this app.

Love it very much!. I‘m using one in association with a health issue of mine to try to determine what is going on and another account to monitor my cat who has borderline Type II diabetes. I love that you can add new category of symptoms. Would like to see a function specifically to record weight, but in the meantime I record it under „Other“

Greatly Disappointed. I wanted an app to help me with FODMAP elimination and trigger identification. I have used My Fitness Pal in the past to help keep a general food diary. When that app was new, it was free as users helped create its database, now arguably the most comprehensive. This app’s food database is lacking and the method for entering foods or a recipe is frustrating. I cannot understand why you have to manually enter every item that is in thirds of the unit of measure. You cannot repeat medications or meals simply. Frankly, this app would not be a bargain even if it was free.

Disappointed. After loosing a lot of time entering data_ Everything was fine_ suddenly , I remembered that I have some back up from previous application which I bought by the way for second time through my new phone . I opened my email and opened the file by this application mySymptoms The file was empty, Not only that it kicked me out and created accounts locked with a password which I never used on this application. Now I have an empty account which is open but the new one which I have put my data today was locked.

Takes some getting used to. It would be nice if this app were a little more user friendly. I also keep hitting the sync button when I’m trying to add something. Synth should be moved into the menu somewhere. It gets confusing between adding notes, symptoms, foods, and ingredients. I used the weight watcher app when I was on program and I loved the setup. This app needs some help.

Great App! Including Dev Support!. I never have been able to get myself to do this kind of tracking before and the app is making the difference. And when I thought the app was missing something and reviewed it here, saying so, the dev got back to me with help right away. Turns out the app had what I needed all along. Great app, great support. Thanks!

Good way to track everything.. After I figured it out, keeping track of what you put into your body and what comes out it will get easier to log. Still putting in input for meals, but I'll get it. And so will you.
