Awesome!!!!. This app is amazing!!!! It is like having your own person trainer!!! Love that you can load your music to it. Track your weight, measurements and fir the timed workouts it has a timer:) If you don't need someone screaming in your face just a good workout and new routine to keep it changed up this is the app to get. Well worth it.....unless you really want and have the hundreds it cost to get a real person trainer.

Perfect for first time weight lifters. I am new to weight training and wanted a personal trainer to tell me exactly what to do so that I wasn't just wandering around the gym doing random exercises. This app provides exactly that...and for a LOT less than an actual trainer. There are video demos for every exercise, and complete workouts that tell you what to do, how many times to do it, how many pounds to lift, etc. it's amazing. It's also clear that this app is not just for beginners - it will definitely continue to be useful as I become more experienced.

Wow Just Amazing!!!!. I must say I am very, very impressed with this app. There is truly some realness behind this app. I just started going back to the gym and man, at the end of my workout with this app, I was exhausted. Crazy but, it gave me a really nice workout. It really feels like you have a personal trainer right there with you but in the palm of your hands. During the exercise it tells you if your not sure of the proper form, just touch the little i icon for info and right then it pops up what you need to know on how to do the proper form. Also they have the video right there at your fingertip as you exercise to show you how the exercise is done. Gosh and it shows you the muscles you are working out while you workout! Absolutely love this app. And is just a piece of the cake. There is so much more behind this app it's just insane! This app is worth way more than just .99 cents! It should at least, AT THE LEAST be starting at $20 for all that it does! Grab it at this steal of a price right now! So thankful it does not lag or crash on my iPhone. It runs smooth as butter! Thank you guys for making the best personal trainer app there is to offer! Love it!

One major flaw. Great app. Only problem is that while you can exclude specific workouts one by one, there is no way to set up a routine based on what equipment you have available. There is only "gym", "home", and "vacation" equipment selection. I have a lot of good equipment at my home, but not the same amount that is available in my local gym. Setting it to "home" mode assumes you have bands and a mat, and nothing else. That's not my home setup... Please fix! Then it's 5-star. Many other apps have this functionality.

Great app! Needs just a little more... Looks like the changes that were made helped a lot! I really enjoy the app for the ease of use and layout. I do think there should be body type specific workouts like the general ones and also when I change the weight or reps and it asks if I want the rest of the sets changed, i usually say yes but it just changes it to stay what I modified it to. It should update to work with my change. Everything else is A+!!!

Good workout. First of all, the things I like: Good mix of excercises. Love the way it tracks what muscle group was worked and your progression! I also love the fact that you can customize so much. Move the excercises around, change the weight, reps, ect. That's really great! This app keeps me coming back to workout! Now what I think it needs: The music is not easy to import. I can't see a list of songs on the playlist for me to delete and it randomly deletes or repeats songs. Very buggy and annoying since I really use my music to keep me pumping and focused. For as well put together as this app is, I was shocked that the integration of music was seemed to be just tacked on in the most generic fashion! Please fix!!!! I would LOVE to see some cardio implemented into this as add on. Jogging, walking, elliptical machine ect.

To all the cheapskapes like me. I literally spent hours searching for an excersise app worth my hard earned money, this is the app I found this app has videos that show you how to do the move, exactly what muscles you are working on, a timer, how many reps, a goal plan, different work outs and my favorite, it shows you a chart of the human body and you just tap the parts you want to work on, let's just say, your going to be sore tomorrow

Best dollar I ever spent!. Great workout program. Some people have complained that they don't like doing circuits. This trainer makes you do mini circuits. I don't 'like' circuits either, but the point of a personal trainer is to take you out of your comfort zone. I've gotten incredible results from these workouts... Try it for a few weeks before you decide that you don't like circuits! Another common complaint is about what happens when you don't finish your workout. Either finish your workout (duh!) or enter zeros. Problem solved.

Great app, just a few issues. I absolutely love this app! I just have a few things to note. When I first bought the app, the different muscle groups showed up in different colors. I miss that, it really made things easy to understand. The other issue is with cardio. I'd like to see a customizable cardio section. My cardio machine choices are not listed together, so I can't accurately log my cardio progress. Even with these issues, I still give it a 5.

Best Weight Training App by far. Another great update. There isn't another fitness app out there that compares. It has it all, a great selection of exercises, creates great workouts for you, or you can edit the workouts and customize your own, either way it tracks your progress, no more bring a pen and paper to the gym for me. The details are great, being able to input your starting measurements even taking before and after pictures. I even used the plate calculator during my first workout. Not only did they fixed the bugs that I noticed and but added new features and sports specific workouts! The new custom workouts feature is awesome! Even though you could manually alter the workouts before, now you have almost complete control of designing your own workouts.

Good but some flaws!. This app has really impacted my workouts in an amazing way. Good motivation and awesome structure. Keeps my fitness organized and tracked but if I don't finish a workout and I try to record the workout that I tried but didn't finish it records it as if I did the entire workout. This is a HUGE flaw in this app and I hope it gets fixed. But other than that this app is worth way more than it's priced at - by far worth your money!! DEVELOPERS PLEASE FIX THAT ONE ISSUE THOUGH!!!!

Update. After all the BS I got pi$$Ed and sent an email to the company that makes this app and much to my surprise I received an immediate response from the owner of all people. Mr. Aamot was more than helpful and was able to offer up a number of suggestions as to what may solve the issues i was having with the app. I am in customer service myself and have been for 15+ years and I have to say I was very impressed with the quick response to my inquiry. Nothing is perfect with all the apps available to consumers nowadays and of course there are going to be flaws but what I can say is Mr. Aamot truly believes in his company and the products they produce which in this day and age is very rare. The app seems to be working great once again. I can't wait to get back to the gym and get back on the program!!

OMG!! Love it!. There is so much in this app. The videos are so much more helpful than just step by step pics. I appreciate that there are girls doing the demonstrations since I'm a girl, it makes the exercises seem easier. Also, all of the exercises are broken down by muscle group and viewable at any time. Btw, I have been playing around with the app and different exercises and it doesn't crash at all. I think those people are trippin.

Detailed, time consuming. Well, a lot of work has gone into this app. Kudos to the makers. Exercises are recommended based on where you work out. Every exercise has tips, videos, etc. it's actually very well done. So here's why I didn't give it five stars. Holy crap, the workouts are LONG!!! Well over an hour, and busy people don't have that kind of time. Give me a 45 minute workout please. I end up skipping so much crap, because it's just too time consuming. So if time is not an issue for you, definitely get this app. Like I said, it's very well done.

This is the best one on here that I've tried. I've (briefly) tried several of the apps that are listed higher than this one and this is the easiest to use, most comprehensive app I've found. Great set of tools like a plate calculator and awesome tools to track your weight. Flexibility while you're doing the workouts is great too, you can easily change exercises and reps on the fly. Edit: I took off a star after using this for a while. If you aren't going to add more calf and traps exercises at home then you should at least allow duplicates. Also it seems to be a bit ridiculous that exercises are greyed out and impossible to add when editing FFS if I want to do the same exercise twice let me please. I still love the app but you guys have to fix this and add some more exercises where they are lacking.

Fantastic Workout Tracker!!. Admittedly I haven't tried any others, but I can't imagine an app being more complete and thorough. There are a ton of exercises for every muscle group. You can customize your workout or pick you're muscle group and use the exercises it gives you. There is even a section to track your weight loss and calories over time. There's a section to input your measurements and upload a before and after picture. There's even a "point" system with levels. It's overall a really cool app.

VERY VERY GOOD APP!. I have tried many fitness apps but this one definitely puts all the rest to shame. The only reason I give 4 stars is I am a personal trainer myself & would love to see an option on here that would let me switch to multiple users so that I could keep track & keep files on all of my clients through this app. If I start logging all kinds of info from many different clients then the progress tab would be all messed up! If I could switch through multiple clients I'd give this app 10 stars if I could!

(was) A Great app. Has made my workouts much more efficient and effective ****edit**** i originally gave this app 5 stars, but in light of the changes in the new version i can only give it 4 i still think this is a great app, but after upgrading, i have found myself disappointed by a few changes. i do not care for the way all the exercises are grouped together. in the previous version, the exercises for each body part were grouped in a manner that if you wanted to substitute an exercise you only had to change it once, now you have to do it on each set, therefore the app now requires more attention during my workout making it less efficient. also, the 'music picker' button has been removed from the bottom of the screen, and now requires you to go through the tools button to find the music...a minor thing but none the less annoying. fortunately, i was able to revert back to a previous version, but now im missing out on the expanded choices of exercises dev's - please go back to the original way of grouping exercises to make editing easier

Ruined a great app. I loved this app; so user friendly in customizing workouts. I don't know who did the updating, but apparently someone who doesn't workout! Trying to customize a routine and then to edit it, is a nightmare. Who could possibly remember the name of every exercise (per your exercise title) and scroll through hundreds to select. Nuts. And drag and drop feature, isn't efficient either--can select number of sets or groups--doesn't work right! Put it back!

Great!. I've been using the app for a few workouts and I really like it. It is snappy: no delays, even with the videos (which are really helpful). I've been weight-training off and on for fifteen years but I still find this app really helpful. I like that you can vary your workouts really easily without having to remember the order/reps/weight of the moves. I got it for free from some iTunes promotion, but I would totally buy it again at $1.99. The only thing that I would change is adding the ability to take interim pictures, not just start / finish, which is almost useless.

Great app but maybe still a few kinks to work out.. Used this app for almost a year and had great results. Life got in the way and quit working out but now I'm back and starting over. I love the app and how it shows your gains over time and remembers what you used last time. Only gripe I have is how a few exercises are listed under the secondary muscle they work rather than the major. Squats comes to mind. It's listed under hamstrings and in all my research and experience that's more of a quad exercise. But overall it seems to be a great app.

Absolutely amazing!. I love this app! I was using iFitness but iPersonalTrainer is so much more robust! I love that I can see videos of the exercise before I perform it, I love that it tracks my progress, I love the multiple workout scenarios, and I love the tools so I can track my measurements, my BMI and so much more. It was really easy to set up and I love that the routines are tailored to my fitness level. I finally have a fitness app that will replace the cost of a personal trainer. Amazing app!

Great gym buddy!!!. I'm not super experienced in the gym but want to get the most out of my time there. This app is just what I needed. The exercises are varied and the videos are the help that I need so that I get results from one exercise to the next. I love the extras like the music player and progress tracking tools. The ability to omit certain exercises and/or muscles is also key! The only thing I can think of to add to this app would be the ability to omit or apply exercises to specific locations. Like, I'd like to use band and resistance exercises at home or during travel and use weights and machines in the gym. Hopefully the developers can add this functionality to future versions of this app.

Overall good, with one big bug and needs spell checker :). I'm pretty satisfied with the application and use it consistently for my workout routines. Whether or not any changes are actually occurring, only time will tell. One big bug: When you quit in the middle of a workout, it asks you whether you want to delete the workout, continue later, record entire workout or record exercises completed so far. The last option (record exercises so far) does not work correctly: it either records the entire workout (you're lying to yourself in terms of progress made) or records some random number of exercises at the beginning of your workout (cheating you because you actually accomplished a lot more). Spelling: I pay attention to spelling so I couldn't help but notice how some exercise tips recommend that you "grip the bar slightly closer THEN shoulder width apart" (it is THAN, not then), to "keep your spine in ALIMENT" (aliment is food; they probably mean ALIGNMENT, meaning straight) and that "your knees should not go PASSED your toes" (PAST your toes, perhaps?). Also, "there should be no twisting in THE YOUR wrist". The spelling faults are a minor annoyance, the bug described is a major annoyance but the overall balance for this application is quite positive. I recommend it.

Best app ever!!!!. Don't even waist you time on all those free apps that you never use! This is well worth it! I am the person that has always depended on personal trainers or aerobic classes for fitness and this makes that possible without spending all the $$$$$!!! It's allows me to pick home setting or guy setting to make sure I have all the right equipment! Plus help me pick muscle groups that I do each day, and saves them so i can keep track of my progress and set goals! Best app I have ever bought

MUST HAVE!!!. wow, this app is wonderful, packed with a lot of information, videos, and workouts, I'ts hard to get bored using this app. I have been using it mainly for my upper body workouts....chest, shoulders, arms, and back. My bench press went from 65 pounds to multiple reps of 175 in a month. Best part of this is app in my opinion is if you follow the workout routines and log the information correctly it will not only track your progress, but automatically tell you what weight and how many reps you should do like a personal trainer. I've looked all over google for an app or PC program that I could buy that would put a workout together for me and tell me when to add weight, along with how many reps and sets i should be doing, didn't find one till i came across this 2 dollar application. If they make a PC version of this I will buy it, so i can also have it on my laptop, desktop, and maybe soon my blackberry.

Easy to customize. I really like how I can customize the workout by picking different exercises for each muscle group. It took me a minute to realize that there was an Edit button on the overview screen, but once I figured that out, I was able to easily change the exercise before starting. I also like the Exclude button which makes it easy to make sure that exercise isn't included again. I do all of my workouts from home and I only have dumbbells, mats, and a few other things. So, being able to remove a few exercises makes this very useful. I've never seen this done in any other app before. Nice job!

Awesome workout companion!. I've worked out with multiple trainers, and I love this app! If you can self motivate, it puts together programs just like a trainer would, if not better because it customizes to your specific needs. It's so easy to follow at the gym that nobody knows you are using it. Also, the demonstrations are an awesome tool to have at your fingertips. Who cares if you have to pay to buy new exercises with demos. You would have to buy a book to clunk around or pay a trainer to show you the same. I especially love how it super sets the exercises within each set in order to maximize your workout and decrease lag time. It reminds me of how Jillian Michaels segments her workouts in her books, which are awesome too. I got sick of carrying a book around to refer to though.

Love this app!. I am a beginner & needed to add something else to my routine because I plateaued with my cardio sessions. This app is great because the videos help me do the exercises properly & slow me down as I naturally want to speed up & rush through. This beats having to buy a gym membership & pay for a trainer, I prefer the privacy of my home. But you can use it both at the gym or home, it's great knowing I can use this at my college gym this semester. So far I've only used it at home but I absolutely love the custom mode! As a beginner, I'm just trying to get acquainted with the exercises so being able to pick & choose my routine is really great. I can edit & sort so i have complete control over what i want to do each day & the star system is great because I want to get to the next level so it keeps me motivated. The only drawback: so far I haven't figured out how to share my results on Facebook, which I've sent a message to the developer to see if they can help point the way. Once I am able to share my workouts I complete, this will be my favorite fitness app, next to RunKeeper. I didn't mind paying the extra $5 for the full exercises, totally worth it. I also bought some dumbbells & am very excited to finally get back into shape. If you are a beginner or need a little something extra, you will love this app!

Good job!. I really like the program but would like to see a notes section where I can add comments about the set I just completed. Ie; repeat weight and reps or increase them, change exercise, what machine I used at what settings, etc. you get my drift. Also, I purchased the additional exercises but you are still short as to what's available at the gym. Especially what is common to most small to mid-size gyms as far as mechanical equipment. Of course, this is just my observation. Maybe you could add a submission section for exercises. However, I like the system because I have everything at my fingertips in one location. Good job.

I love this App!!. I worked with a personal trainer for years. Times are tough now, so I've been looking for an app that could help me. This is the only app I've found that comes close to a real personal trainer. I just used the app this morning. I didn't have to think about a thing. It did everything for me. Pick the exercises and the weights and reps. This thing is going to be addicting!!! The new sports specific routines are GREAT! Thank you for adding the CUSTOM workout in the update, this app couldn't get any better.

Engineer. I really like this ap because it is the only training ap I found that interleaves sets in your workout circuit. For those that are complaining about this feature & want to do all your sets for 1 exercise before going to the next you can edit the routines to your liking. My complaints (wishes really) are: 1. Needs many more pre-defined exercises (there are very few machine exercises currently defined). 2. Need to be able to define your own excercises (since there are not enough). 3. Would like to be able to preview an excercises plan before choosing and doing it. 4. Need easier ways to modify &/or define a work out plan. Like drag&drop, copy/paste, export/edit/import, &/or design a plan on your PC or Mac & download to the ap.

Suggestion for developers. The only thing I don't like is that when viewing workouts for specific muscle groups, i.e. Abs, it doesn't show you exactly WHICH part of the abs it's working. It just highlights all of the abs. I would also like to see if I do this workout, what my body will look like. That would be awesome. Maybe a far reach, but It would be great if you could create a workout simply by selecting body parts per workout but have the app generate it for you. If you don't like a workout, you choose to shuffle it out. The app would get to know the body you want to look like (based off of looks you hand-select in the beginning) and base your workouts off of that. Now that would be sick.

No updates. It used to work well but now you can’t create new custom exercise...It won’t work. So I stop using it...

Get this one!!!. Just started using this app and I have to say that it is the best of all the apps offered. I tried several of the other ones and none come close to this one. Being able to shape the workout as you go is priceless! And the best thing about it is after the workout (when done correctly) it gives a calories burned total. Having a personal trainer in my pocket is getting fast results!!!

Great app!. I have only used this a few times, but do far, I love it! I am easily bored and I'm always looking for new moves in the weight room. This is a great app for those like me who don't have the time or money to work with a trainer. Suggestions: 1. It would be good to have an option to tell the program when your gym doesn't have a piece of equipment that is shown and have it choose an altern ative exercise. 2. I can't tell if this "learns" when I up the weight so that future workouts tell me the appropriate amount of weight to use based on my level of fitness . If not, it should.

The Ultimate Weight Training App. This app is great! Forget about all the other training apps, this is the only one that tells you how much weight to use and how many reps to do. I used to just putter around the gym, without any idea of what to do or how to do it until I found this app and it finally gave me direction. Highly customizable to fit the specifications of your gym, with a wide variety of exercises. Videos included in the app--no need for wifi or an iPhone. Best of all, no adds trying to sell you upgrades or costly subscriptions! Sports-specific workouts a nice touch. I don't really use them, but maybe others would find them handy. The only feature I'd like to see would be a "hotel room" mode that would generate an equipmentless workout. Also, it would be nice to have a countdown timer with an audible alarm for some of the time-dependent exercises like planks (yes, I can count in my head, but who knows if I'm subconciously counting too fast). Overall, an extremely awesome app!

Randomize workout. Need to bring that back, that’s what separated this app apart from all the others

Bring back Randomize feature please!. I've been using this App for 3 years now and have loved it. The latest update was a real disappointment. You killed the randomize your previous workout feature. That was the coolest feature. Please bring it back.

Highly recommend!. This app makes building exercise routines easy. The short videos help you with proper form. They have plenty of options to work out the same muscle group.

I use it for every workout. I LOVE this app! I use it all the time and get a great workout- I usually feel sore after too. A couple of things would make it even better: a bug I noticed, if I swap out a specific exercise the reps drop to 1 vs a preset amount. It doesn't happen every time. A way to exclude certain equipment instead of having to go through each exercise and doing it would be great. The biggest improvement I would LOVE to see is my workouts for the week. If I set up 5 workouts a week, it would be great to see what those workouts are going to be in advance. Thanks!

Love it. Love it! It mixes up your workout! I use to wonder around gym wondering what I should do now I have my workout at my fingertips. I tried the free version. 1st which was good but ran out if exercises so for the price this is great! I wish there were stretches and more free options for home workout with no gym equipment. Hard to change exercise without paying more. Most people have weights, bands(not attached to gym) and step. Maybe they should ask what equipment you have at home 1st. The upgrade does not seem to mix exercises up?? But still better than a personal trainer at $50 a session. Helps keep track of workouts without a book!

O.M.G!!!. I've been searching and combing through so many Internet pages and apps trying to find information on beginner exercises for home and gym and I stumbled across this app. I'm so impressed!! I'm so glad I can use this at my gym, and I don't have to copy other people or do the same thing over and over anymore. I even put my husband on to this app. Seriously, its amazing! With my hard work and dedication combined with the help of the app, I'm going to meet my goals for sure! Thanks a lot!! <3

Good Program. Overall, this is an excellent program! In many ways it is similar to having your own trainer on your iPhone. I like how it will select different exercises for the same muscle group on different days giving you a well rounded work out. A few things I would change, and they are for personal preference only, is to do 3 sets of the same exercise as opposed to doing one set of each before going to the second set. I go to a small gym where the number of available machines make that difficult. It would also be nice if the program remembered the last weight you used for a particular exercise as opposed to this program having you take the time to look it up in the "Progress" section. Fix that and I'd give it 5 stars without hesitating. Thanks for a good program!

Trainer app helps.... I really like the app and I use it at the gym. I like that I can access my music while using the app. However, there are a few things I'd like to see included. First, it would be nice if there was cardio sets included with the app. I always do cardio and weights. Second, it would be nice if I could move exercises around if needed b/c the gym gets busy. Lastly, I'd like to be able to input the machines available for use at my gym into the app to sync an exercise routine. Not all the equipment is available to me when an app creates a routine. Nevertheless, I plan to continue using the app.

Love this app. This app is amazing...the workouts are challenging..but most of all they work...everything from the time clock..plate calculator...workouts video...progress history and many more features are super convenient...this app is worth much more than it cost and is the best out there...the only thing I could think of to make it better is to add more exercise's...and a more personalized workout for anyone specific goal...other than that..this app is perfect!!!!!!!

Bug in Custom Wotkouts. You can’t enter custom workout info. It lets you create a name; however, once you try to add a work out it doesn’t allow you to. If you select done, it will also delete custom work out name as well. Fix Bug Please! Would be best app yet if you would fix this small issue.

One very important feature missing, but fantastic nonetheless. This app is really, really great. As far as weights/strength training goes, it has everything I could want. Suggested exercises, videos showing the correct form, suggested programs, and enough customizability to keep me completely happy on that front. However, it has absolutely nothing for logging cardio! I would love to be able to input my treadmill program (how many minutes at what speed, etc., mostly because it would be easier to remember that way) as well as progress (a graph would be quite fun to see). If they get the cardio functionality in there, they will get all 5 stars from me. That aside, really solid, well-crafted app, and worth every cent!

Everyone should have this app!. This app should have thousands more downloads. Anyone from beginner to expert can use this app in one way or another. Whether it be tracking progress, maintaining fitness, or keeping to a scheduled routine this app can do it all and much more. The videos make it exceptional; there are too many idiots out there doing these exercises incorrectly. Learn from this app and help people do their exercises correctly, increasing their results and keeping them from hurting themselves. A must buy for anyone who has even the slightest interest in fitness and self-improvement.

Good Start. The app gives u a good workout, but it keeps going to sleep even with the no sleep enabled. The stopwatch doesn't allow for a continuous workout. Other than that I would recommend. Update: been using for about two weeks and I don't see we're the stopwatch function is useful in gym mode because u have to close it in order to move to the next exercise. Furthermore, in the gym it may not be possible to move from one exercise to another and then return to the exercise u were doing previously. I think the gym mode needs to be fixed so that u do one exercise and then move to the next.

Great training app. Used this for the first time, I have a couple of training apps on my touch and find this so easy to use. I would like to offer some advice to fixes. There is a need for more exercises in custom workouts and also when entering weight instead of halving the weight allow for total to be entered, like I'm leg pressing a total weight of 380kgs, but when I enter it it does not reflect this correctly. Other than that, this is a great app. I intend to use this for all my workouts for now on.

Could be great!. This app does have a lot to offer and overall I like it. Didn't give it 5 stars as it won't let me change or increase the weight or reps, as it claims by using the edit button. Lets you edit the weight then reverts back to its own setting. With this fixed it would be my favorite app... Disappointed.

Down graded. I only just purchased the HD thinking it was the same as the free one. I was seriously mistaken i had a heap of custom workouts i saved and could add to and now i have to plan a workout every day not happy at all should have stuck with the free one but it wasn't supported :(

The best. It's a great app helps you plan and keep track of your exercise.

Not bad but needs other measurements. I like this app in theory, but not living in America, I don't use imperial measurements anymore. To me, this app would be 5 stars if it had metric measurements for the weights or like the other person suggested before, maybe a custom weight setting.

Good workout guide. Easy to follow, great workouts!

Potential. Potentially this could be a great app (and kind of is) I have one problem it should ask you what equipment you have at home and rule out the exercises you can not support, there is a function where you can tell it not to do certain exercises. (If you don't have the equipment) however when you start your workout they still show up, why oh why did I waste ten minutes eliminating all the workouts I knew I didn't have equipment for if they still put them in my routine grrrrrrrr sort this and it will be a winner :)

training program. needs a change where is you want to delete a excercise u dnt have to do it individually but you can delete it as a hole group! please change it , it's so annoying!

Good start. Not a bad start to an application, hopefully it will be fully supported. and more routines and exercises to be added.. one thing i would totally love is to have different settings for weights.. When lifting weights or doing weight training its all in Pounds.. would be good to have the option to select custom, or have Kilograms.. hopefully they keep this application alive too unlike other Training apps i have purchased.. update. This new version is a bigger and greater step in the right direction. However would love to be able to keep a log of how many reps that was achieved. For instance you might say 40kilo dumbbells 8 reps but you only manage to do 6 Update: i've started using this program at the gym, and super setting the routines it suggested and the weight is has suggested. I've really started to feel the effect it has had on me, and do highly recommend it. Hopefully they do some more minor tweaks and updates, add a few more routines and machines, and i personally think this application will be a hit!.. And keep it compatible for iOS 8

Great start. Used this app for the first time today and had a good go at understanding its features. I really like how it modifies the next workout to target a new set of muscle groups, being a beginner this is great! There are a couple of things that could be improved from a usability perspective but overall simple and effective. Improvements I would suggest are: * weight selection: one thing I noticed was the weight displayed is always half what is selected. This is ok if there are two sets of plates to add, but it's confusing if using a machine or doing a one arm exercise. Just needs a selector for sets of plates / arms targeted (maybe both) * moving between exercises: be good to have a confirmation screen to change reps and weight actually completed if need be. * stretches: given the targeted nature of the workouts, would be great if appropriate stretches were included at the end. * workout time: don't always have the same amount of time available, would be good if workouts could be adjusted based on some set options, e.g. 45min, 1hr, 1hr 15min. Thanks for the great app! With the above definitely a 5-star app!

Poor upgrade. I loved this app until it upgraded with all the options to purchase new exercises. Now, whenever I try to choose a workout, only a black screen opens. I deleted the app once & reinstalled it (thereby losing ALL of my previous workout history) but after only 3 workouts, the same thing is happening!! I am very unhappy with this app & wonder if anyone else has had this problem?

Love it so far!. I've only done two workouts with this app so far but I love it. No problems with crashing. Integrates beautifully with the LoseIt! app & tracks # reps, weight to use, and # sets so I don't have to figure out each exercise on my own. Samples & videos & tips on form have been very helpful as well. I've been recommending to friends & coworkers. Great app!

Awesome workout App!. This app is great! Not only does it track what you do, it offers alternative exercises and changes it up for you! I love the plate guide and the videos demonstrating the lift. Also, the tips to a maximizing the lift are great! My only suggestion would be the inclusion of a cardio section so I can track my ENTIRE workout instead of keeping separate logs. It still deserves 5 stars because its the best lifting app I've used.

Great! ...if you have a fully stocked gym. It's awesome, but I honestly have to say that I expected much more "at home" exercises to become available when I paid to upgrade to the full version. I've switched to another app that covers things I can do with simple equipment better. If I ever get access to a full gym with all the fancy equipment I will eagerly try this app again.

Wow!. This is a great app! Videos show correct form, great ability to adjust as you go. Nice! I cannot believe that prior reviewers complained about the cost of buying additional exercises; at $4.99 this is a SMOKING DEAL! We just spent $1,600 on a personal trainer for 1 month... You do the math. If the designers could make 1 change I would ask for the ability to adjust the difficulty for each muscle group, I'm stronger in 1 area than another

Outstanding App. I love this exercise app. It has a good variety of exercise to focus on the type of results you are looking for. I have had very good results from following the workouts that the app provides me for the targeted muscles I chose. Highly recommend this app for all workout enthusiasts from beginner all the way to the gym rat die hards.

Awesome app. I researched a lot prior to purchasing. While the first couple of sessions were kinda slow b/c I had no previous weight training with the app, the sessions got faster later on. I have been weight training a long time and hardly ever saw any results. Now that I have a high protein diet and I work out 3 or 4 times a week I finally am starting to see results .

Worth every penny.. Fantastic app. Not perfect, but for the price you can not get any better. Tons of exercises, simple interface, good tracking of prior workouts. Molds workouts around what you have previously done. This app will get you fit quickly if you use it correctly.

Almost Perfect. Has tons of workouts, not everything but works great. Customize workouts and I love how it syncs to my Lose It! App. Only down fall is I wish you could view the sample vid of a workout without starting the workout. And perhaps a better way to search workouts by name not just muscle group.

Exactly what I needed. I've been doing the same type of lifts for about 5 years now and the hardest part for me was planning new exercises and new workouts. This app is absolutely awesome. It makes my daily workouts based on how many days a week I workout and hits all the muscle groups I want in the week. It has taught me do many new lifts and really got me motivated again. 5 stars!

Great app, could use some tweaking. I really like this app because it keeps my workouts fresh and I don't have to think! However, it could use some tweaking. For example, the app crashes and closes when I try to add exercises to the custom workout, so I am unable to use that feature so far. But after using this app for a week now I'm finally sore again after workouts, which shows that I'm switching things up and not just phoning it in anymore!

So far so good app. So far the app is good. I like that there are videos to show proper form. I am hoping that the exercises will continue to change as I workout this way I won't plateau. But I'm guessing I will still have to modify the exercises to fit my gym and my workout level. Would like the app to continue to add exercises as well as some plyometrics .

Very good/effective app. By far the best fitness training app available. I have lost 11 lbs on 3 weeks using this and the Lose It! apps. This is also one of maybe 5 apps I've paid for and actually used more than twice. It is very good for both the novice and experienced exercise enthusiast. My three recommendations to improve this app to 5 stars are: 1. Include the ability to add exercises that are not in the list provided by the app, including cardio exercises as part of a circuit training workout 2. Add ability to change the order of exercises when creating a custom workout or modifying a workout generated by the app 3. Include the ability to email or otherwise share a complete workout with a friend (similar to the Lose It! app)

iPersonal Trainer. This is a great app my workout partner found new exercise to implement into our routine we were getting bored with our old ones. I also workout my 15yo with a baseball program that came in this app and it's great. I really can't say enough about the app, just get nothing to lose & plenty to gain you can take that to the bank!!!!! Thanks great APP✅🆒😎😜

Love it. I really love this app. Makes me want to go to the gym. Two additions would make it even better. The ability to export the workout history to excel would be great. Also when the weight is adjusted it would be great if the app adjusted the remaining reps based on the adjusted amount. Keep the updates coming. This app is a keeper.

More FREE variations??. I love having something I can take with me to the gym without pencil and paper. However, it would be nice to have a few more variations that are FREE. I see there were a bunch added that you have to pay extra for. That's not worth it to me....can they be added free of charge?!? I do like how it's structured and it keeps track of everything for you. Very helpful overall!!

Needs more exercises and easier to modify. I like the program but still find lots of machines or exercises that are missing. And editing a started workout is hard. I can only change with an exercise within the same type. I want to be able to add more exercises for any muscle type. I also want to a set of exercises at once( example doing chest routine, and want to add a set of 3 situps(the same type) in one step )

best app for gym rats but 1 flaw. the one flaw is their is limmited exercise. I would like to have more machines to use, not much more but just few other choices or as you progress they add new machine or free wheight item to challange you. Besides that i think after spending about $100 on work out apps this by far the best.

Awesome App. Having had a personal trainer for almost a year, this app is a great way to give yourself something to do between sessions or if you can't quite afford a trainer for a period of time. It keeps track of the amount of weights you use and has a wide range of alternative exercises if you don't like the one assigned. I highly recommend it.

Best app ever!. I recently had to quit the gym when I lost my job. I was feeling bad about not working out, when a friend recommended this app- All i can say is that I was spending over $60 a month for a gym membership and I NEVER felt this sore (in a good way!) the way I do working out at home with iPTrainer!!! Save your money- quit the gym and buy this app!

Great app, would get a 5 from me if?. I love this app but wish someone whom is a true body builder would give it the once over and fix a couple of things, like when I am doing muscle building I shouldn't be working out like I'm on a circuit course. One exercise at a time then to the next machine unless I ask for super sets. Fix that and I'll give you a 5+. Still a great app though.

Awesome!. I just tried this app today at the gym and man I got a workout and I am sore! I like how easy it is and how It logs your progress. I use to look at all the workout equipment and be intimidated and just jump on a treadmill instead but to day I walked in use the equipment and felt confident and the videos show you what to do and how to do it "RIGHT". I can't wait to go to the gym tomorrow.

Fix these. I think this is a really good app but you still have to add a few things like interval training and there should also be able to pick if u want an athletic body/ or body building body/ or a toned body ... They should also add different routines that you can chose from month to month to change it up a bit instead of constantly just doing 5 sets and also if you should run on the treadmill or not

Great App!!. I just got this app and it will become my default fitness app now. I am a personal trainer and will be recommending this to my client to continue their training. A lot of work has been put into this app. The graphics are great, it's easy to use and customize your training. The videos are of good quality. All in all a great investment.

Keeps you in-line. Really keeps you focused on what you should be doing and how to do it right. Gives great tips on how to execute workouts properly and gives very clear videos on how to do different exercises. Best money I spent on iTunes. Highly recommend it.

Love this app!. Hands down this is the best fitness app out there. It is almost perfect with the new update. The new traditional option was a needed feature. The new exercise packs I will most likely buy as they are great stuff. My only complaint is the new cardio option is not as user friendly as I would like and there is no outside cardio option like running/hiking tied into GPS. That would be amazing! Thanks ipt. $1,500 value, so far!. I figure $1,500 is how much a (lessor) personal trainer would have cost me. It eased me into a routine and after a month I feel better than I've felt in years. My only complaint is that it didn't seem to adjust the routine much when I turned my 75 year old father on to it.

Awesome and simple. I haven't been in a gym in 15 years. Had forgotten a lot of basics. Love the fact that you can chose the muscles of the body you want to target and it builds a workout for you. Plus before and after pictures stored and measurements. Don't be afraid! I tried 6 others and this is by far the best....even for beginners!

Facebook option isn't working!. This app is great! Perfect for what I need. I am getting back into working after 7 months. I used play football and trained in mixed martial arts for 5 years...so I know a good app when I use one. My only issue is that the ability to post your workout on Facebook doesn't work. It's petty but pretty annoying. Please fix this! Thanks!

I love this app. This app is great because instead of wasting time figuring out what I'm going to do when I get to the gym I can have a workout step by step. This greatly decreases the timer I spend walking around trying to decide what would be most worth my time. I can also custom create workouts when I really want to feel the burn in those problem areas.

Who needs a trainer. A buddy just turned me on to this app and now I'm kicking myself because I wish I had started using it years ago. The expansion pack is essential for all your workout needs. This app can seriously take the place of an expensive monthly trainer fee. Many thanks

Great gym app. I use it every time I go to the gym, just put in my routine and start to lift. I would recommend this app to anyone looking for an easy way to record their progress and workouts. Only thing I don't like is that you have to arrange each exercise to make it a traditional style sets (ex. 3 sets of bench and then 3 sets of dumbbell flys instead of going back and forth from one set of an exercise to the next.)

Needs an update. It would be nice if it told you your workout so your not constantly looking at your iphone while your working out. That's what real trainers do and I was hoping this is what it was going to do. The nikewomen app does that so it would be cool if the next update would do that. Also showing you the equipments in the beginning would be nice. Over all its not bad, just needs a bit of additions I'll add a star when that happens til then three is ok.

Totally worth it!!. I needed a new app that would help my stale, not working, workout routine. This was awesome! It offers many choices and guides you through the whole workout. It has MANY workouts that you can edit if you have injuries and are unable to do certain moves. Worth every penny! Much cheaper than the $600 I spent on a personal trainer years ago.

Great app. This app is very helpful to anyone needing that little extra push to actually do workouts fully and correctly. It has perfect exercises for any muscle you want to work on and has nicely set weight and reps to push you but not to the point of injury. I would recommend this to anyone, probably my best app yet.

Previous version was simpler. This is the app of the decade! Great sequence, exercise range, nice tools, love it. Comments: I would like to add comments on each exercise I do. The graphics on body were simpler before. Also, I would like to read more what the app does, like instructions. I don't know if app remembers what muscles I have worked before. I don't want to remember.

Great app!. I love the app! Does everything I want it to do without any hassle. My only complaint is when I start a new workout, the exercise sets are mixed together. For example, instead of having three sets of bench press consecutively, it instead shows a set of bench press followed by a set of squats followed by a set of deadlifts. It should show three sets of bench, followed by three sets of squats, followed by three sets of deadlifts.

The BEST trainer app I've found!!. I've been using this app for 10 months now, no complaints at all.. I have 4 other apps and this is the one I use the most!! It shows real videos and many different type of workouts...the original was the best.,the ad on is still Fine,...trying to find better app but no luck as of yet., lol!!

Good workout app worth the money. A great tool for someone who is self motivated to work out but doesn't necessarily know how to put a well rounded workout together. Easy to follow workouts with a good range of exercises to choose from with the option to modify to best fit your level.

Well done app. I downloaded a couple of different fitness apps and this one was definitely the best for weight lifting. Lots of options. Very easy to customize and track progress. Short videos of each exercise show how to do everything with good form. Stopwatch is built into the app too for timed exercises such as planks. Very well done.

Beginner user. I've been wanting to start some kind of structured strength program without having to pay huge for a trainer; this app is definitely helping me with that. I've only been using it for a couple weeks but it's giving me a gentle start with burn and without killing me. My only critique would be that the example videos don't have an audio track explaining anything you might miss.

Update Needed. I love this app a lot but it would be great if the company was able to update the app for iPhone 6 and 6+. The interface is old and needs to be changed. It would also be great to change the graphics and also have some kind of way of measuring calories when working out. Please update this app. I paid for it and would like to see it updated.

TM Fitness Texas. I think this is a great tool for all levels of fitness. The videos are great and show proper setup and posture which is BIG for people just starting out. Without these videos there is potential for injury. I also like the way you can link your exercise progress with Lose It. It estimates the number of calories you burn and records them in this program. Well done.

Best workout app so far. This is the most complete workout app. I've bought 3 other apps and none comes close to this one. The amount of workouts is awesome plus each contain videos, stop watch and allow you to edit the weight and reps for each exercise. Definitely recommend it!!

Very nice. Use it a lot.. They've done a very nice job with this app. It's great to have the phone to keep track of where you are in the middle of workout and be able to just focus on the exercise you're doing at the moment. The videos, tips and built in stop watch are fantastic. Not to mention the wide selection of available exercises.

The only workout app you will ever need. This app has the most intuitive workout selections available. The short video clips are awesome, and very good at explaining each exercise. I have been using this now for 2 months and have had great results. Everyone that I show this app to...is now using it for thier workout routines. You need this app!!

Some bugs but good app. Sharing on Facebook is broken. Music sometimes gets frozen and won't play. Good assortment of exercises, and the ability to pick exercises based on muscle groups is awesome. I wish the default exercise would let you focus on an area instead of having to do the pick it yourself each time but that's ok. Highly recommended!

Workouts/options unavailable after update?. I bought this app about two months ago and I've been using it since. I haven't had an opportunity to write a review until now. This app come with all workouts and options available when I bought it. Now that I've updated this app, MOST if the workouts are now unavailable unless you buy a workout package. This app was perfect, why would you change it? It's obvious, they're trying to make an extra buck. Next thing you know you'll have to pay to use apps. This is BS. DON'T BUY THIS APP.

Awesome app!. I've worked out off and on for the last few years but have to workout at he...and there's no motivation. This app gives me the motivation to stick with it and it keeps up with my progress. Love it!! It is also great for muscle confusion. All I have to do is decide what muscle group I want to work and it takes care of the weight, sets, reps, etc.

Awesome app!!. If your trying to get tone or even lose some weight then this is the app for you! You get to choose which muscles you want to focus on and they guide you through the whole thing!! Love love love this app! I ride horses for a living and I'm trying to tone up my abs, arms an legs and I'm able to do just that with this app!! :)

Weights and Reps. I really love the way this app groups weights and reps. I can just bump it up a notch and all the rest of the sets get bumped up automatically too. And it remembers my settings from last time just like a trainer does. But, the best thing is that I don't need to carry around a big old clipboard with me.
