From 5 to 2 stars with latest version. This used to be one of my favorite apps and I gave it an excellent review a few years ago. But all of a sudden this update has made it a so aggravating that it's almost unusable for me. It used to ask me to scan a page at a time and now it thinks I want to scan multiple pages and it's not easy to figure out how to end a scan. Because it used to scan one page at a time I could correct the orientation of each page as I scanned it but now I have to go into the document and adjust each one separately which cost me more time. It locked up when exporting and I had multiple problems exporting it to dropbox. Sometimes it would only send one of multiple pages other times it would lock up and the latest option was squishing two pages into one page. It might be because one was landscape and one was portrait but it still should be able to fix that. It's just a bummer when something works well and then it becomes so aggravating you wish you hadn't purchased it.

Don’t do the upgrade on this app. I’ve used the free version of this app for years and been really happy. It stores all of my scanned PDFs and restored them when I got new phones and downloaded the app again at no charge. I decided to show my appreciation to the developer and purchase the upgraded version and the bundle. After I paid for the upgrade it now wants me to sign up for the $3/month cloud to restore my previously scanned PDFs. There was no mention of this before I did the upgrade. I feel taken advantage of by this developer. 👎🏼

High function, light weight.. I have used this app for several years, including a period of several months when I used it to scan all our mail. Simple, fast, intuitive, and functional. Well worth the price. - de-skew mechanism - pdf or jpg - integration to google drive, mail, photos I routinely use it to do impromptu scans of whiteboards, letters, angled pix. The de-skew means you can get a good picture without glare or flash reflection, then straighten it. Maintenance and enhancement has tracked over all this time. The de-skew automated corner finding is finicky (A good contrast background helps a lot), but the UI to adjust it is quick and intuitive. This is important, because many pix require that you eyeball the perspective (whiteboard diagrams, store signs). The image post processing is also good, especially for documents. I use the integration to google drive and photos a lot. I scan and mail docs all the time. I always have the best picture of the whiteboard to distribute. Provided is a good way to build up a database of docs on your phone, but I have found that is a mixed blessing, security concerns). Currently keep it down to a few docs. I see there is now a cloud integration mode, which I haven’t used—if you trust this with your docs, I can see that it would make it a lot easier to maintain.

My Go-To Mobile Scanner. Okay, let me just start out by saying, I don’t write reviews for apps, period. But, because I have been using this app for over 4 years now, it is my go-to scanning app for everything. I have tried a number of scanning apps over the years, some good, some worse, Genius Scan is the only that kept evolving to my changing needs. The fact that the documents it creates are accessible in all the other mediums is what makes it invaluable to me on the fly. When a developer works so hard to up their game, the users out there like me deserve to know about them. So, I say the Genius Scan developers, GREAT JOB!

Home Screen App - Very dependable. Genius Scan+ has been my go-to scanner for the past 10 years or so. Why review a 4.9 rating app now? To reinforce our trust in the abilities great app developers. The app itself is simply awesome - does the job, is stable as a rock, has options to enhance photos taken immediately, auto-crops photos to page boundaries. What’s great is they have been consistently adding new features that are just so intuitive. Love it.

What a life saver!!!. While I love Genius Scan, and I have & do recommend it, I’m not liking the changes inthis particular version. I don’t like my default document name is selected when going to rename the document. 99.9% of my documents begin with the same prefix, and I have to add the remainder to make the name unique. When sending docs via email, the app used to make a whooshing sound when it was sent. Now, no sound at all. Also, that same email is ready when it comes up on my screen. I shouldn’t have to scroll the doc up and down, then answer the save-delete-cancel question in order to make the send button appear. Come on, guys. You can do better than this.

Small business owner. Great app. Used the basic app for awhile and upgraded real quickly. Have five guys who work for me and had them get Gplus as well. We are able to put together great looking reports in the field (construction) with pictures and send to our clients and office (for storage). Has replaced our flattop scanner for most applications.

Outstanding App. Genius Scan Plus is actually my top app on my IPhone. I have been using this app fo several years now and have not found anything else that comes close. The editing features are great. You can add pages at any time. Easy to search docs. I scan business card in a few secs and hand back the card. Totally addicted to this app.

The Best. Easily one of the best loved, most used, and most reliable apps on my phone. I probably use it once a week to scan forms and contracts and am always delighted with the sharp, professional results. I’m also impressed that the team never stops tweaking and improving, keeping GeniusScan up to date and performing without a glitch. I barely ever leave reviews but after years of relying on this hardy can-do little app, I feel like GeniusScan has earned it.

The best portable scanner - a life changer. I went through about a dozen of the top scanners and settled on Turbo Scan as the best and easiest scanner. I now create multi-page PDFs and put them in different folders in Dropbox (which provides the organization). Then I throw out the original rather than store them in boxes where I’ll never find them. This is done for Easy Start documents, small instruction manuals, receipts, handwritten notes, etc.

Easy to use. I use this app every day for my job and find the $7.99 for the plus version to be a good value. I especially like having the ability to pre-format and populate my emails with my signature and greeting. Unfortunately I cannot figure out why or how to make it recognize my account on my phone and iPad. I have the plus version on my iPad, but my phone says I don’t. Cannot find anywhere in the app that let’s me know who I’m signed in as...

Incredibly useful app and totally dependable. Truly one of the best apps I have ever purchased. If you travel and scan records or receipts, or ever need to scan documents, this app is the undisputed king. And the companion app, GeniusFAX, gets high marks as well. The batch scanning and document organizing is perfect. And every update seems to get even better by adding features without bloating the UI. My only ask would be if there was a way to share with the native email app instead of in app, so that I could use Mail’s encryption when sending items with PII. As it is, though, the email function is great, and keeps good track of frequently used combinations of to and from email addresses.

Works so well that I forgot to write a review!. I purchased this app quite a few years ago and started using it immediately. It became such an integral part of my job that it sort of faded into the background. Whenever I need to scan something, I open the app and everything works flawlessly. Over the years, the developer has made updates, added features, and refined the interface, but it the effectiveness of the app has remained at the top level throughout. This is one of those rare apps that you find and use so much that it is easy to forget. My only regret is that I didn’t write a review sooner—the five stars are well-deserved!

Best scanner from your iPhone. I've used this scanner for over 3 years now and it keeps getting better. From batch picture scanning, smart cropping and multiple file export options; it's the only phone scanner I use. Scans come through clear each time and it allows several apps to be used for exporting.

Great App!. This is an awesome app- it enables me to create a pdf of any document, upload it to my Dropbox or other cloud storage, or e mail it directly to anyone. It automatically crops and enhances when I take a pic of the document, and allows me to crop and edit as I please. It’s one of the top 3 most useful apps I own- absolutely worth it! Get this app- you won’t be disappointed!

WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?. Bought this app about a year ago and it was perfect as-is however every new update takes away from what made me love it, and now this last update is ridiculous. When uploading, I used to be able to fill in the “Title” portion so easily by simply clicking the “x” and typing what I needed. Now the “x” is gone and I have to delete everything individually, and then every time I type, a period is being placed after the last thing I type, when I hit the space bar. This app is becoming a waste of time. Can we please stop trying to reinvent the wheel when the ride commenced so smoothly??

Don’t know what I’d do without Genius Scan. I’m a small business owner with very little time. I use Genius scan to keep track of receipts and other important business documents. I also use it for personal documents. It was a life saver when my mom was rushed to the hospital. I was quickly able to produce her living will, power of attorney, and hipaa release info as well as her medical insurance info. No more bulky file folders or file cabinets for me.

Fast and powerful.. With the latest update, this program is much faster and easier to use. It maps for photograph automatically. Also, it adds to a current document much more easily as well. As a realtor, I keep closing statement, receipt, and all kinds of things on my Genius scan. It is like having my office with me everywhere I go. It also makes it much easier to share with others. I never have to borrow a fax or photocopier anymore.

My document was gone. I have premium accounts. My account is valid until March 2023. I got a new phone and all my files are gone. I was always in sync. And now it doesn't even sync. Shows that the account is not premium. But I am a member until next March. I am going to cancel my account. I have two separate accounts on my iPad, but it may be better to cancel them as well. —————— So, I received a reply from the respondent. was hidden. It seems that it took some time for everything to upload. I am very happy because it was a quick response and I was satisfied. I'm angry with myself that I only gave 2 stars in the beginning. How can you function without it?!!. This has been God sent for my organizing, and version 7 is even better now that we have files!! I used to have boxes of receipts and then spend days on end entering them! Now, just scan and send to Expensify and, voilà, no more boxes! All my documents, travel and others, and important reference materials “filed” in boxes and never accessed, now are neatly scanned and saved in OneNote, info at my fingertips! Genius Scan has saved me a multitude of times!. Genius scan is a great tool when needing to immediately turn any document into a PDF. I work closely with my attorney, we have time sensitive matters that require immediate attention. I may be on a plane, make a discovery, and within seconds he has said document in a PDF form. It also is extremely helpful for our business. Anyone who is in the business world should absolutely have Genius scan. People are constantly asking me to scan things via genius scan and I am completely baffled as to why they don’t get it themselves. It is so user friendly my 7 year old can use it.... not to simply it, I’m just saying that it makes my life so much easier and you don’t have to be the most computer savvy person to use it..

I have loved this app until today. Love using this app. Very helpful. But today, I discovered something that is making me feel ill. After using the app to scan hundreds of pages of an old, fragile, handwritten notebook lent to me by a teacher, saving a new pdf about every 50 pages, I went to merge the PDFs together. I assumed I would be asked during the process the order in which I wanted the PDFs to be merged, but I never was! Also, while not essential, it would have been nice if copies of the multiple PDFs were kept as backups in addition to the merged PDF being created. I borrowed that notebook, so I cannot reference it to ensure the pages are in order. But that’s beside the point. How can there be a merge feature that haphazardly merges the PDFs together? Useless. Here’s to hours wasted. While I’m leaving a review, I’ll also note that it would be nice if the crop feature had an axis tilt option like iOS Photos has. Other than the merge disaster, I’ve really enjoyed this app...hence my trust that merge feature would make sense....

STABLE & INTUITIVE iPhone / iPad Scanner App. I’ve been using the Genius Scan since it was released on the App Store. I purchased their Genius Scan+ upgrade after using the free app a couple of times. I was impressed by its intuitive user interface and reliability. They have finally have added the only function that was missing: synchronization with cloud-based storage. Now I no longer have to worry about moving to a new device and losing all that I have scanned in prior years. I highly recommend Genius Scan even over Adobe Scan, which has much less functionality and charges $9.99 per month for features that are already built-into Genius Scan free app. Again, it’s always been extremely reliable and stable on ever version of iOS and on iPhone and iPad. To Grizzly Labs: KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Most important app I own. I use this app all the time for many purposes. I cannot begin to list all the uses for this app. Reading a magazine and want to save an article or portion of an article? Can't read the label on the back of the printer and need to call technical support, again? Need to save a copy of your credit cards in your wallet? Love the book that you read and want to tell your friends about it? Vin number and license plate, passport number, TSA card handy. Instructions on a new - anything! On and on. Once you have this app and start using it you'll be creating tags for all different kinds of categories. The latest upgrade is GREAT!! It’s a smooth operation!!!

Excellent for Paperless Office. This app works great for digitizing your info. I started using it while working through the book The Life-changing Art of Decluttering and Organizing. My only wish is that this app had better integration with my DiskStation cloud device. It works VERY well with OneNote however!! Pro Tip - use a contrasting background when “scanning” docs will make you life MUCH easier so the borders are completely automatic.

Paid version of Genius Scan is a life saver. This version allows multiple adjustments for clarity, color, and cropping. There are a variety of size options for sending, and files can be password protected, allowing the transfer of confidential materials. I use this app a lot, both for personal items, and for rapid submission of confidential letters and forms. When I purchased it, it was only a dollar—more than worth it.

Just works great.. With the auto-alignment and easy re-align features, and excellent quality images, capture is clear and fast, including multiple page documents. The search functions make this a great, simple file manager for my scans. Access to sending scanned files totally closes the loop for my portable scanning purposes.

Product used to be relevant. I’ve written rave reviews about this product in the past, having purchased their once one-time premium version and been quite happy with it prior to the quality going down and now a monthly or yearly fee would be required to unlock features that were available to me but no longer. Not only that, but after using the product for 9 years I cannot recommend it any longer as there are plenty of equal or better apps out there by other companies. It was nice while it lasted.

Amazing app I Use ALL the time. I’ve been using Genius Scan+ for a long time and it is exceptional in its ability to capture texts from the size of business cards to large documents. It’s also got a new capability to convert the scan PDF files into text.! Amazing! I do a lot of reading so I capture a lot of text for later review. I prefer this app on my phone over any other PDF app I have found for my PC. I recommend it to all my friends. It would be nice if I could select the old documents I want to extract a text from instead Of having to choose between extracting text from all my old documents or none of old my documents. I still recommend it highly!

Let’s you sync your documents across all your devices allowing you access to your docs wherever you are. Love it!

Best App I ever downloaded. Tried many scanner apps and GeniusScan+ is the one that does everything needed. It is my most used and dependent on work tool especially when I need or want to tidy up my document(s). Support Techs are very diligent in responding to calls for help or bug fixes unlike other apps. Any issue I’ve had were responded to promptly and most of the time the issues/bugs were already being addressed. Can’t ask for more than that.

Nice one!. This program let me delete several others saving lots of room on my hard drive. One stop shop when I want to quickly stretch photos so that the object in them is an actual square or rectangle. An example would be when you are using your phone to take a picture of an old printed photo. Most of the time the old photo will end up like a trapezoid shape because it’s hard to aim perfectly. This app will automatically fix that. It also has many other features but this is what I do the most.

Best Scanner App. I’ve used other apps to scan docs so that I can do what I need to do with them. This by far is the best I’ve used. I can import attachments from my email, scan paper docs with the app, SIGN them with genius scan sign, print them or email them with ease. Never had a problem yet. It has been so convenient when receiving emails with documents that need to be signed. I can sign and return the doc in minutes. People wonder how I’m able to get signed docs back to them so quickly...this app is the reason. Oh...you can also fill forms with these apps. Totally awesome. Completely genius!!!

Better before. I have been using Genius Scan + for years. I have recommended this for my sales team as well. I will need to look for a new app after the changes. I scan receipts quickly and send to my e-mail so I have copies while traveling. I typically need to do some editing before sending. I rarely need to save anything on the phone. Now, there are far too many steps to edit and send the e-mail. This is a very disappointing change. It would have been better to give us the option to keep it working as it was. I would be happy to pay again for that option.

The Great Assistant. I’ve been using the Genius Scan for approximately two years, love how efficient and practical this app is! Easy to keep invoices, receipts and important documents organized. I’ve never experienced any problems ever, love the way Genius Scan simplifies my life. On a few occasions I’ve scanned documents and used the Genius Fax while flying or in transit. Product performs great and I’ve recommended it to friends and acquaintances alike. Look forward to trying the Genius Cloud option, especially that in general one’s privacy should be more protected with a French company.

More than I imagined. Incredibly useful app, that is reliable and functions perfectly. I’m extremely pleased even with the free version, and am considering purchasing the paid version just to support the developers. Right now I’m turning all my tax documents into PDFs with the “magic” picture taking option, and it’s quick and flawless. I’ve done 10 documents so far, and the Magic option has worked first try on each one. Super convenient, clean UI, great app!!

The app is almost perfect, but.... It’s almost perfect, but it’s missing the option to email to myself automatically in the Settings or to upload the scanned docs to my email service app. Since my service app is not supported (Yahoo), I need to go thru a process where I upload the documents thru Genius Scan+ to iCloud or Google Drive and then use my email app to attach to an email. When that gets fixed, I’ll change my rating to a 5!

Keeper. This app is a keeper because it is a simple, fast, reliable, and accurate way to save a paper doc image to my phone or tablet. It produces clear and detailed images of everything I've needed including business cards, post it notes, photographs, maps, etc. My only wish is an easy way to create and organize file folders -- but plenty of other apps exist that I can export to. For example, Good Reader.

Worth paying $29/yr for the sync features. I used the free version of this and other grizzly apps for quite a while, they work great. It’s worth paying for the app bundle and $29/yr for all the sync / share features. I use this app every day on iPad and iPhone for construction site Inspections/Reports, without the sync between devices I’d really have to pick just one to keep everything accessible.

User Darrell. I love this app! These guys have created a great app for people who love to move images and files We love it. And we can keep our wits by storing all on the cloud accessible anywhere we want. I use the Genius Scan, Genius Sign, and the Genius Fax Apps and they save gobs of time and avoid frustration! Sending, saving files, printing documents, all great apps for the busy business executives!

Organization made simple!. The best scanner/organizer app out there. I have used this app for business and personal use for many years now and absolutely love it. The scan detection is amazing (best to use a contrasting background) and the editing options are simple. A must to organize and send business documents and personal items. Highly recommended! They regularly update the app and I have never seen a bug while using this.

Could be better. I wanted the Neat Desk scanner but it cost too much. This app is the closest thing to it that I found. It's nice not to have paper everywhere (reduces clutter). All my documents arranged all in one place 👍🏾. I'd like to see this Geinus Scan + able to take info from the documents scanned and organize them it's self . Like save business card info straight into y contacts. Or organize then like an Access database . I would like this app to have wifi sharing so I wouldn't have to go through another service( such as Evernote , One Drive etc.)

Since Grizzly was a cub, I've used this GREAT suite of a very useful Apps!. The Genius Scan Plus app works very well with Genius Cloud and its companion apps, Genius Fax and Genius Sign. It is reliable and very effective! Updates are regular and effective. Grizzly reads all the reviews and works hard to fix what needs fixed, respond to requests for HELP! And!! promptly tackles the tough stuff to make the suite an critically important tool box for all users. Over the last 13years I have remained continuously impressed with the Grizzly and its products. Genius Scan + meets >99% of my scanning needs. I really appreciate its seemless connection to Genius Fax. Genius Cloud is very reliable, and Genius Sign does exactly what it's supposed to do... and then some.

Very very useful with great functionality. Genius scan is getting better and better all the time and with this new release I can now incorporate photos or other PDF documents into the scans that I am doing of paper documents. Dropbox and other cloud storage platforms are easy to access for importing or exporting. The user interface is becoming more Apple like in its elegance and functionality. I would recommend it to anyone.

Favourite Enterprise App. Hi, I love this app so much! I'm surprised there isn't any recent reviews. It's helped me so many times when I'm doing documents on the fly and need to send them right away! My favourite from The Grizzly Labs was having the ability to purchase the package deal with Genius Scan Enterprise and Genius Sign; I've recommended them to colleagues... However I must admit that some of my colleagues tend to like the old-fashioned way since they're comfortable with it, but for me, I like to lessen my paper trail when I can. The features I would love would be the ability to circle categories on a PDF or have a feature to hand-write something. And when you build that, can you include "pressure" sensitivity to make the writing more "human"? I've had documents declined by the recipient because they were electronically signed (it needs to show imperfections to prove it was signed with a physical pen). I know Notes on the iPad has the ability to sense how hard a person presses when using the pencil and pen feature. I was hoping to have this ability for Genius Sign. Thank you so much for your excellent products!

Amazing app for small business. For years, I have been looking for a way to capture my paper receipts…plus add labels… plus sort them into categories for my CPA...plus add later receipts to the categories I already created. Finally! Genius scan does all of that: fast and easy with very clear images. Now, I send everything to my CPA via the Internet with no need to save all those random pieces of paper which used to clutter my life and make me feel disorganized. BTW: Apple lost one of my iPhone my backups—it’s important to export these or use their Genius cloud for automatic back up.

Worth the $. We are a 1-1 iPad, pretty much paperless school, and I love this scanner. It’s perfect for scanning right from my desk and uploading directly to the students iPads. I use this everyday! It’s the best... saves documents, crops, edits, all of it. love that I can choose between scanning just a single page or a group of pages! I have used it for 2 years and haven’t found a thing I wished it would do better or different! #savingpaper #itisagenius

Simply Wonderful!. We use Genius Scan Enterprise in our Outreach Center to scan our client’s documents whenever we are in the field. The scan is uploaded to our google suite and processed from there. We work with the elderly to apply for state and federal government programs, community and medical assistance services. Genius Scan is our go to app. when remotely scanning documents.

UPDATED: The app is now a ‘brick’...documents inaccessible. UPDATE to earlier review: Eventually after I wrote a critical review customer support finally got back to me and made numerous attempts to solve my problem. I appreciated their effort. None worked but eventually an update of the app (about a month later). Fixed my problem. Thanks for the effort. OLD REVIEW: I purchased the suite of apps (Genius Scan and Genius Sign) a number of years ago and was very happy with them for a long time. They worked perfectly and most of the updates were easy to navigate. A couple weeks ago I updated the app and all of the sudden is would not open. Now all of my documents stored on my phone are inaccessible. I went to their website and their only suggestion is to complete a full restore of the phone from a complete backup. Of course, a) this is incredibly inconvenient, and b) is a moot point anyway because if the app won’t open in the first place, there’s no way I’ll be able to access the documents anyway if the app won’t open. Submitted my problem to the developer...no response. Apple Notes now has most of the functionality of Genius Scan now and I know their support is responsive. Will stick to iOS native apps for this stuff in the future. Pretty disappointed as I was a loyal customer for a long time...

Very dependable app that just gets smarter and smarter...I love it.. I love this app. It is one of the few that stands out as golden, a must-have for me. It is a huge time-saver. The quality of the PDFs is such that I don't even have to crank up my scanner for most purposes. I just take a picture or import an image from photos, let the mostly automatic features clean it up for me, move pages around if I want, and then hit send and done. There are additional features I haven't dug into but every feature I have used works flawlessly, updates are seamless and have consistently made the app more intuitive while keeping to the original sense of workflow so you don't have a new learning curve with every update. And I have had it for years and they've never had me pay for an update. I've never had a complaint about it as either a user or from clients and others receiving the scans, yet I am always pleasantly surprised how the upgrades continue to improve and streamline the experience. I am going out of my way here to give clear kudos because this is one of those rare apps that actually delivers what it promises and this development team deserves deep praise. Thank you for the time you've saved me.

Easiest scanning app ever. I've compared features with my colleagues who use other apps & Genius Scan always wins. Batch scanning & auto cropping are spot on every time. I've had it for years, but fully support the current price. It's 100% worth it.

Must Have App. There are a few apps you can’t life without. This is one of those apps. The other day, I needed to take a few photos and merge them into a single document and send as a PDF. Do you think ANY of my PDF viewers could do it? They either didn’t allow it or wouldn’t shrink the file to a small enough size to send via email (attachment too big). I can not praise this app enough. The scanning is brilliant. The OCR add-on is excellent. 10/10.

I use it all the time. I have had genius scan for a couple of years now and it is one of those apps that gets used all the time. I scan warranty receipts ( because they always fade) forms, letters all sorts of things. Great product

A favourite app. I have been using the free version of Genius Scan for a long time and have seen it mature with regular useful updates. I bought the + version recently and suggested an enhancement - the developers were very responsive and added the request in the next update. Highly recommended!

Best Scanning App. This is such a simple scanning app. It's very fast and easy to use. Then once I scan the document I click a button rename a file and I can send the file direct to my Dropbox or OneDrive. By the time I've scanned it and entered it into my financials. The image is ready to attach to a purchase order.

Love this App. I’ve been using the free app for a few years and found it so good, if used in good light and with a steady hand quality multi page scans are created without a hitch. I upgraded only recently to the PLUS version as I felt these guys deserved a few dollars in recognition of this top little app. Haven’t spent enough time to see what the plus version has over the free app other than the no ads. This App is a keeper for sure !!

Great scanning app. Essential to have when no scanner around. Can get erratic when taking many pics. Tends to switch back to Black and White though I had Colour selected.

Best iPhone scanner app. Fast, reliable and great value. My most trusted app - I can complete expense reports in record time. Love the save to iCloud Drive feature. Hard for me to recommend more highly. If you can stuff with your iPhone, get this.

Store receipts all sorted in one place. Invaluable. The simple, user friendly way to keep your receipts, documents... anything you used to keep in a filing cabinet, can now be securely stored & accessed digitally. Cannot speak highly enough of this app.

Buggy, slow, limited and overpriced. This app crashes after a few page scans, and has some very poor UI decisions. For example, once you scan a page, it automatically tries to decide whether to convert to black and white and optimizes based on that decision. It almost always picks the wrong mode and wastes around 15 seconds PER SCAN in going back and selecting the correct mode. You can't scan multiple pages, and once you've finished with one page you have to keep clicking "back" to go back to the main page. I waited 6 months before writing this review hoping the developer would release an update fixing ANY of these issues, but there's been nothing. I regret not buying one of the other, better scanner apps out there.

Best scanning app ever. Whenever I need to save a document or scan and send in the run, I turn to Genius Scan. It is what it's name says it is...genius! So easy to use, easy to bundle multiple pages into one document, easy to scan, save and send. I highly recommend Genius Scan for the quality of the documents produced as well as its ease of use.

Substantial and functional app (PRODUCT). I use this genius app and supported Grizzly for close to 6 years. Since release the development has -at any rate- progressed, and the 6.0.2 launch kicks significant, practicable goals ideal for digital word processing. However, by providing web access to synchronised devices, scanned publications, and enabling such scanned data to be completed almost exclusively in-house at Grizzly Labs via their new ‘and exclusive’ cloud-based network, lacks considerable insight and consideration for those customers (like myself) who have not only continued to appreciate the developers and app but also have already paid for the a-how many inchoate and/or redundant versions? Par for the course I suppose. As all of these presumably lead to the current “Genius’s suite”of functionality. But the whole...,,oh and now just one a final on-going monthly subscription please?!” No! Don’t get me wrong. I love the idea of the capability the whole suite can provide, now made complete via utilising Genius~Cloud. BUT, to then subvert the access and interests of original patrons by prostituting the service 6.0.2 functions to provide is a let down. The further subscription charge is a wrought. Sure we’re given the ‘new’ service extra I.e (Genius+ features) however we aren’t complemented with access to a registered account within the ‘Genius’ cloud-base platform (for which necessitates the functional developments of Genius+ C’est la vie, c’est la Genius+

Just Right - my most used app. This is a great really useful app from people who care, listen and improve - appropriately Unlike some iOS apps suffering from bloat - this app gets better and better, without getting harder to understand and use - a rare quality Speaking if quality - the images are excellent, the speed of capturing, saving, naming & sharing multiple pages, flip charts, whiteboards and receipts is very good There's still some UI tweaking to go, but already five stars for me. Highly recommended

Best Scanner. It’s better than my actual scanner.

Perfect scanner. I have to scan and forward pdf’s for work. The app is easy to use and has worked flawlessly for me.

The best scanning app ever. This is my go to scanner for documents and receipts. It can do all knds of ‘magic’ tricks to make my life easier. Scanning a few tax related documents for my accountant is a breeze. Organizing, croppng, rotating, deleting, addng scanned pages is very simple. It can export or save to many different cloud locations. Very helpful!

Automatic picture. Use to enjoy this app. Since the latest update the scans utilize an automated picture as soon as it sees a document rendering the app practically useless.

Genius Scan - Great scanning app. I use Genius Scan for 2+ years and I scan all my documents, receipts etc. I like the batch scan, as it speeds up the scanning and then you can sort the pages in different files, if needed. Easy to share on ftp, Google drive, email and much more. Great job!

Amazing scanner. This is the best document scanner. I could talk about how fast the auto scan and edge recognition is. I could talk about how efficient it is to scan multiple pages by just flipping the page and aiming the phone. I could talk about the naming system to help organize the scans. I could talk about the exporting of scans to various locations to keep backups safe. I could also say that they are an honourable developer because they recognized those who supported them early on, and rewarded them when they changed the purchase model. There are many other developers who could learn from this. I also could talk about how they ensure that the free version is very useful and full of advanced features. That the paid version and subscription only add features that make it easier to do advanced things. I could say that the developers really are geniuses, as the interface is simple, clean, and intuitive. Application runs smoothly and fast. They listen to feedback. I could talk about all of this, but the easiest way to describe this app is: “This is the best document scanner on the App Store. Either way you use it, as a free or paid version, if you need to scan documents on the road or at the office, download and you will be glad you did. ”

Flatbed scanners belong to the past. With this app my iPad is my new flatbed scanner, I use it to scan all my documents, always with PERFECT! results... even my old b&w pictures. This app is simply amazing.

Seems much better than Office Lens. Love the batch mode and the cropping zoom window. Removed one star as it didn’t auto crop my pages very well and that it won’t allow me to add a second OneDrive export: one for Personal and one for Business; only allows one.

My fave app for my art. This app has been a game changer for me. As an artist I need to take a lot of photos of my art to post them online but it is difficult sometimes to get the right aspect ratio. This app makes it so easy to produce perfectly square images with good quality. Highly recommend!

What a neat app. I had this app for a while and used it occasionally! It was ok! Then recently I started using it again after the new update and it was like a whole new app! Recently, I had to do business transaction, sign forms, etc. I normally would have used my computer scanner but tried Genius Scan on my phone instead! I was impressed with it’s ability to recognize pages after pages and then focus and scan them quicker then my own scanner right on my kitchen table. It scan them automatically, one at the time, group them and crop them just right! It convert document from other source also! It made my desktop scanner almost obsolete for smaller jobs! Highly recommend it! Keep up the good work!

Great app. By far probably my most useful app. Please add the size of doc in the details list. And please add the ability to make sure exported files can be a certain file size. Sometimes the files are too big and I have to use another utility to shrink.

GeniusScan+ is Outstanding. I am a long time user and it always gets better. The current version does have a couple of display issues on my iPhone Xr. For example, one is that when I go to: Settings -> Export -> WiFi Sharing There is a text heading that only displays a small portion of the bottom of the letters. It is impossible to tell if there is something of importance there. Despite that, GeniusScan+ has some fantastic options, one being Text Recognition, with the choice to process both old and new documents. I would love to see the option to Export to Notability in the future. Still, a terrific App that I use every day.

Get this app!. I have been using this app over over 4 years now and love it! I use it everyday and is worth paying the extra for the app! I have recommended this app to many people because of its ease of function, reliability, performance, and value! AAA+++ I don’t like the update because if I am emailing a bunch of documents it now does not allow me to see which ones need editing in the batch

Great app but share by email does not work. This by far my most useful app and it works really great for everything but for email. I used this app for few years now and it always was the case, 9 times out of 10 if you are sharing a document by email, that email will never be sent. Much higher resolution than my copy/scanner and it’s so much quicker to use! And on the go!. In five minutes I scanned at 12 documents just using my phone and did not have to power at my computer or the copy scanner. And this resolution is much higher

So much easier!!!. When my father passed away without a Will, my brother and I were responsible for scanning and sending loads of documents to multiple entities. Genius Scan has made the process so fast and efficient, and most importantly, easy. Thank you! Highly recommended!

What happened to the editing function?. Cannot find options to correct the scanned area, choose color or flip the image ... where did they go in this version?

fantastic tool. I routinely take screen shots of interesting sections of articles then crop out the background. GENIUS SCAN+ allows me to combine all the photo snippets into single pdf files! This clears up my screenshots and lets me better organize research material. Fantastic tool.

My Goto scanner. Update: reiterating how great this scanner truly is. This is my go to program for scanning documents, consolidating them into PDFs, and then incorporating them into my Workflow through either Evernote, or email. The ability to add a password to a document; to change file size if It is too large; to create smart names (automatically names file logically) makes this a great product.

Essential app for iphone. Both my wife and I use this app all the time to send PDFs to Dropbox and via email. My wife is a schoolteacher and uses it all the time to store documents. Easy to use and effective.

Great for scanning, terrible cloud. I use this app for three years. The scanner has made tremendous strides, and is probably one of the best on the market. I subscribe to the cloud service to keep my documents there for business. Now I can’t login and see them. So my business is at a standstill and all my emails to support have gone unanswered. Don’t waste your time buying the cloud. Use the free version only

this IS Genius!. The Magic feature makes capturing a single document, or a stack of them as a batch, as easy as it could possibly be. There are dozens more features that I can go on and on about but that would just delay the installation of the app you are going to get a lot of use from.

Business Use. Genius Scan has been a game changer for me. Used to struggle with keeping up with receipts for business. Genius Scan saves me every trip. I scan and upload to my Dropbox account. When I return to the office, I just open Dropbox and magic - all my receipts from my trip are on my desktop.

Unable to email scans. I have not been able to send scans or sometime and cannot figure it out. I tried to do some research and it said something to do with my email but the email that I have associated it with is in my mailbox so I don’t understand so basically, all I can do is scan a document and print it. I cannot send them.

No other scanning app needed!. I have used this for years for work and personal purposes. Connectivity to online file folders is fast and efficient. You can rely on this app for professional purposes!

Excellent app!. I find this app very useful. Scanning items and combining pictures or PDFs is easy and comes in handy. I can also use it as a makeshift copier, taking a picture of a document, turning it into a PDF, and printing it from my iPhone.

Fixed bug. Hi, recently I contact to the support team of the app and reported an annoying bug. And after a while in a same day the answer and told me they know about the bug and they will fix it in the future updates and they did. Thanks for your awesome app keep it up.

Very useful. It’s well worth the price, and it’s great for on the spot scanning and much quicker than getting the scanner open and finding a document most of the time as well as its automatic D skewing feature It’s very handy for quick scanning of some thing including a book because you can’t put a book in a scanner.

One of the best iPhone PDF scanners. I’ve tried 4 other app based PDF scanner, this is by far the best. The encryption tool is a bonus. The only downside is that if you already have a PDF and want to encrypt it, the size of the PDF grows outrageously. A 240K PDF ballooned to 18MB at actual resolution! If this can be addressed, it will be amazing.

Great scanner. I am in the process of going paperless. I love this app apart from sometimes it just can’t find the square of the piece of paper that is right in front of the phone and select it to take the picture. Useful and well done update. This app makes life so much easier. Very easy to use, the interface is simple, uploading scans is fast, and they arrive at their destination in minutes. Also love how it connects to genius fax.

Needs iCloud sharing, better automation, workflow. I need to use multiple iOS devices. I need to be able to add to the same documents from these devices. Not possible. When I take pictures to scan, say, receipts, I always have to manually recrop/warp and convert to b&w. The automatic cropping just never works. Don't make me choose camera every time I want to scan. Annoying.

Great apps!!. Genius fax and Genius scan gives your phone a capibility it absolutely needs. Easy to use. I recommend them to all my friends. My insurance agent turned me on to them when I was needing to get some docs to them. Wonderful!!

I particularly like that I can export the file as a pdf file to other apps like Dropbox and Evernote to name a few and password protect it as well. Been using for Years. Great app, lots of great features, uploads to many cloud storage providers, great cropping interface and auto-picture taking when the document you’ll be working with is good to “scan”. Well worth the money for me!

Could not function without it. Thank you for a wonderful app. I love that I can set up to place documents directly in iCloud or GoggleDocs. Simply brilliant. The only change I’d like to see is the merge between your scan and fax tools, but only because I try to minimize the apps on my phone. Thanks again!

Awesome product for teachers!. I can’t tell you how many times this app has saved me from headaches! I can create pdf’s instantly, and send them to a student who is out sick. I can also steal great ideas without waiting for someone else to email me the document.

Happy I made the purchase for plus features. Great app on its own as a free app, but the ability to import pdfs from other sources is well worth it. I am able to import my hotel receipts and compile everything together in a single PDF for filing my expense reports. Perhaps the best app purchase I have ever made. Between this and PWSafe it would be a close race.

Best thing for a busy teacher!!. Once I found this app a few years back, I didn't know how useful it would be! I used this app about 2-3 times a week, and I talk about it to everyone who ever mentions that they need to find a scanner! My classroom is now clutter free!!

Easy. Intuitive. Simply works.. Usability and quality is high. That combination creates value. I can’t think of anything to add that could be added on a mobile version. Accessibility is always important but I really don’t know if there is much that can be done to make a mobile app like this WCAG compliant.

Very useful app - business and personal. I use it to scan documents and receipts. Very useful app. I really like the feature that crops the page to the document/receipt size. One disappointment though! I have the paid app, but cannot sync with iCloud automatically. I could upload one file at a time. May be, there is an option I couldn’t figure out.

Pocket Scanner. It really does what it says. I need to be able to sign and send docs as .pdfs, and it makes it very easy when away from the office. It's also useful for saving receipts for expenses or warranties. I don't use the Dropbox/Google Drive capabilities much, but I could see how they would be very useful.

Incredible. This app was recommended to me since I didn't have fax or scanning set up on my printer. I decreased my stress level with this app since I don't have to freak out about sending documents via email and not having a scanner. I will definitely use it a lot!!!

Great app, we have the plus version. Very happy and use the lifetime plus version on a daily basis. We store our documents in OneDrive so no need for the cloud service. It seems the plus is no longer offered and replaced by an ultra subscription of US$30/yr. Well worth it.

Doc scanner for idiots. Awesome for sending pics of documents clearly and I can store and look up later. I can enhance and mark up easily with out being a teenager or techno wiz. It has been my favorite tools to get invoices out and get paid!!

It won’t send in pdf formate for a single page. Worse yet the help instructions are incorrect. I’ve added a tag and tweaked everything I can and It still emails the page rather than a pdf

Amazing free program, but worth $8 to go pro and print / extra features. Maybe I’m a tech dinosaur, but $8 to be able to successfully print PDF documents in good quality from my iPhone is blowing my mind. I love this program already for mobile scanning but the extra features with pro are so worth it. Amazing program. Thanks guys.

Update makes app not work. Need to add back feature to combine pics into one pdf. I and many use this to compile trip expenses over several days into one trip receipt report. Now I can’t do it until after the fact and must take an extra step to combine. Please fix it.... soon!!!

Conquer the paper monster!. This app is an integral part of my workflow as a contractor. No more wad of receipts in my wallet, or lost in the cab of my truck. The scan to a page size feature allows me to draft onto a letter size page, upload as a PDF, and have a drawing that prints at the proper scale. One of my most useful tools.

Really useful. Genius Scan+ is a truly useful tool for capturing and annotating in my work (management research). Since it’s constantly available, it’s constantly in use. I’ve had mine since Christmas, and I’m still finding new ways in which to use it. It’s one of the most useful apps I’ve ever had.

One of my most essential apps. Really excellent scanning app that has not disappointed. Tons of highly functional extra features as well. Been using frequently for many years and have never had an issue.

Great app!!. I use this app for work. I have many documents that have to be recorded in their own folder and this app is perfect. I'm able to name the folders or let the regular settings name the folders by date/time. This app makes it very easy to keep my work separate but accessible.

Great tool for people on the go!!. I travel a lot and use it to keep my receipts. I only use it on my phone and then easily email it to myself for upload after travel. No complaints after using it for over a year.

Great App. I don’t write a lot of reviews for apps but I’ve used Genius Scan + for years and thought it was time. I don’t use the app very often but it does what’s supposed to do and I’ve never had a problem with any of the updates. Thank you Genius Scan team for a well done job on a very useful app that has served me well for years.
