Does not work. This app does not work. Will not find my box then when I do it manually still will not find my box.

Big Step Backwards. Used to work fabulous with only hardcoded ip addresses. Now it is terrible. Discovery doesn’t usually work. App forgets my hardcoded ip addresses. If the system is off and I try to add back a hard coded address, it doesn’t work. Because of all this, the app is worthless unless the directv Box is already turned on. This was a great alternative to DirecTV’s uselessly bloated app. Please put it back the way it was!

Waste time. Just down load direct tv app it’s free and this was beyond complicated

Disappointed. Doesn’t work. Tells me how to add my receiver with my remote.. why would I use this if I had a remote in here at the moment. 👎🏻

This is an amazing app!. This is a great app! It's just as easy if not easier to use than real remote. I never have to worry about connection issues because it connects to Wi-Fi so anything blocking it won't interrupt the signal! I can also use multiple remotes, in multiple houses, On multiple receivers! All I do is select which room and use the remote! It tells me what's playing, bottom line it rocks! I mean, it instructions and everything! Plus I can use it at night because I can see my phone screen! These are all the reasons I'm writing this five star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Awesome!. With 4 kids, we were always hunting for lost remotes. No more! I downloaded the free lite version first to make sure our receiver was compatible, per the instructions. Once I was confident it worked, I bought the full version. So nice! It's always at hand, it's backlit, and our phones are a lot more likely to have a charged battery than the physical remote. Why didn't I get this ages ago!??

Works Great for Slingbox. This app works great. Try the free version to make sure it works for you. It works perfect for me. I use it when I can't find my remote or when watching my slingbox in another room. Using this remote is better than using the RF on the regular remote in another room, because as you know if you have slingbox, if you're on the road and have your remote set to RF so it can be used in any room, your IR blaster won't work. So with this, you can this app in another room without taking your remote off of IR.

Awesome. When I found the IPad Directv app and it had a remote control feature I had been bugging them to make the same functionality available not eh iPhone direct tv app. Now i found this and it is just what I was looking for. It would be nice to enhance the app to have the "playlist" like the iPad app has. All in all was well worth the price and works 100x better that RF remote.

Works like its supposed to!. I just got direct tv and emmediatly searched for iPhone remotes. I stopped with this one. It works great for me. I was impressed that before you download it they ask you to stop and download the lite version to make sure it works. Just seems like they have good customer service. (so for those who say it doesn't work anymore, you should have at least contacted them before you wrote a bad review, these people feed their families with the money they make). I will make sure this continues to work and if it doesn't and they can't help me I will be updating.

Shared App Now Works. UPDATE: I wrote to the developer of this app. They were quick to respond and fix the family share downloading. I have up the star rating to 5 stars. Best app for Direct TV I've used. I use it much more than the regular DTV remote. I really like this Direct TV remote. I don't have to have my phone in the exact right place for it to work like with the Direct TV remote. After initial setup, the app "just worked" like it's suppose to. Easy setup also. What makes this app 3 stars is the other person on my shared account can not download the app. They can see and download all other apps I have purchased and I can do the same with theirs. Just not this app. I will give 5 stars if/when the app is downloadable for others on shared accounts.

Works better than my real one. This app works flawlessly! Be sure to try the lite version first to make sure that your equipment works with this app. I love it because when I sit down and the remote is just out of reach, and almost taunting me, " haha you can't reach me" I pull out the iPhone and can change channels, pause, and do all the things my real remote can do. Also I don't have to point it at the tv because it's wifi so it truly works better than my real remote! Thank you whoever designed this app!

Awesome!. App took 60 seconds to link with my box. The bookmark feature alone is worth the price. On it you can pick your favorite channels and it displays what they are currently playing so you can quickly choose what to watch or switch between channels. I have a Samsung smart tv so with their app I can now control everything from my iPhone. Thanks for the great value.

Great App. I am glad that it looks like the actual remote. I hope more updates come along. It's worth the money and I usually don't purchase too many apps . My hubby has the Windows Phone and a similar app($1.99 windows marketplace) same functionality but it doesn't have the look of the remote like this one has. However, it does have a cute compact version within that app(look in to that developers) Overall nice app.

Nice app, but.... I love the idea of this app but for some reason it does not save my settings. Every time I open the app, I have to re-enter my ip and dtv info all over again, along with my book marks. Where are the rest of the basic function buttons? Ch up and down, rec, power, etc. With these short comings, it is still worth the money! I am looking forward to some updates. Tons of potential with this app! UPDATED REVIEW Absolutely amazing app! The developer has consistently updated and listened to the customers needs and wants! I have over 200 paid apps and this is in my top five. The last update ( new interface and functions) superb! My hats off to this developer. Wonderful!!. Had trouble connecting at the beginning, and truthfully thought I had wasted my money. However decided to just try and email (not expecting to get a response within a week or even at all). I had a response within 15 minutes that resolved the issue! Wonderful app!

Incredible and excellent !!!!. This works Perfect and flawless , I'm truly amazed at the speed this remote sends commands to my receiver . Truly an Awesome app and much needed !!! Thanx R-labs I love this and it's crazy that directv would not have there own - but they lack in many areas of fine tuning there software - so it's great to see a third party step up and grab the bull and make it happen . IP address changes on you often. Which means you have to go get your normal remote and find the new one which is highly annoying if you've put your boxes somewhere more difficult to get to. (The reason I purchased this app) also many times it takes forever to acknowledge you've pressed a button or it will just pop up saying up address is incorrect 10-15 times in a row also annoying and even after this it will turn out the IP address was correct. When this app works it's awesome just a lot of bugs and annoyances for such a simple app.

Great app. Update: New version works great. Nice option to change remote skins. Best direcTv iPhone app by far. The new interface and functionality are great! Is simple to use now that it looks exactly like the remote. Love that I can now see what's on & what's next for my bookmarked channels. Another review says it doesn't work on latest direcTv platform 2.0.24. That was either before an update or they can't read to set it up right. It works fine for me on latest platform. People wanting volume control: the iPhone has no infrared transmitter. No app can control your TV without that! There's a gag app for that claims to control your TV. You can waste a couple dollars on that one if you don't believe me.

Does not work at all. I downloaded the Lite version of this app and it worked. Unfortunately, it only allows control of one DTv box at a time. I downloaded this app to control multiple DTv boxes, and this app does not scan the network successfully. I tried to manually add the addresses and although it seems to connect (no errors), no remote appears. I went to app settings to select “allow manual”, and that makes the “manual” tab disappear entirely!! I will rewrite a review if the problems are fixed.

So easy. I can't believe that someone couldn't make this work. If you have a Directv receiver and it's the kind that can connected to your local area network (LAN). When no trouble this app will work on your Directv receiver. Just answer a few questions, and it's up and running. If you can't make it work it's because one of two thing are wrong. 1) You don't have a Directv receiver, or 2) The receiver you have is not connected to you LAN. Note, some of the older receives do not have LAN connections.

Does not work.. Just purchased this remote for my Direct TV Stream through fire stick. Does not work.

Great app IF you do your homework. First, know which box you have and if its compatible. It needs to be on your home wifi to work. If it is, you'll love this. Since my physical remote isn't backlit, I constantly use this app so I can see what I'm doing in low light. It works from anywhere that your network reaches, so you can control it from other rooms if you want. I do this with my 2 year old to start a show for him while I'm in the kitchen or bedroom, by having the show on pause first. The one thing I'd like to see is the ability to see recordings list in-app and play from that list.

Great before the 5.0 update. I am a commercial AV installer and have downloaded this app over a hundred times at different locations. It is ideal when you have multiple receivers in a rack for a switcher system or want to control multiple receivers in a venue from one central location. The key is to connect the receivers to your network with Ethernet cables or a deca unit via coax, and make sure your iPhone/iPad is on the same network WiFi. I also suggest that you assign static IP addresses to your receivers by going to advanced IP settings and typing over the receivers last IP address digits (with the same or new digits). Having said all that, the latest update to this app has messed up everything. I have had several clients contact me this past week that the app stopped working with the latest update. This happened a few years ago, but was fixed fairly quickly with a new update. Until they come up with a fix for this one, I am advising other clients not to get the update, and always set iPads not to do automatic updates.

Its almost there!. Thanks for this wireless remote, its great when i don't wanna get up and get the remote. You should really put a volume button on because i gotta get up on every movie i put on and change the volume. But at least when the remote goes missing all i gotta do is tell my mom i got my own remote, but please the remote would be way better with a volume button on it i might go buy the other directv remote on the app store cause it has volume control.

This app is unreal!. I love this. Could not believe it would work but it did big time. So Many times the remote is way at other end of our long couch and I would have to get up and get remote by my hubby sleeping on couch. Now I can just use my phone which I always have by my side and use the remote! I love it. Well worth the .99. Just add volume and power and it will be even more awesome! Thank you!!!!

Not working. I can not get this app to work anymore. It does not find any of the receivers anymore.

Absolutely great app. Stop whining about volume.. The devs did an amazing job filling the gap DirecTV has left on the iPhone. For those of you sore about lack of volume control, it can't happen, it won't happen, and complaining in comments here won't fix anything. If you are looking for an app that can control all the TV functions you will need an external IR receiver on your iPhone.

FOUND SOLUTION FOR GENIE. If your other receivers other than your (main) won't give you the IP address from (NetWork Setup) which it says *You cannot make changes to Network Setup from this location. Simply go to Settings & Help>Settings>Info & Test>Server System Info>IP Adress. Which is should be towards the bottom if you scroll down. Hope this Helps!

Looks great on my iPhone Plus. I love this app! Works fantastic even when the regular remote is acting up. For 99 cents it's cheaper than buying batteries for the old remote. I download the free version first just to make sure my equipment was compatible. It took me about 90 seconds to configure it for my house. I don't know why people moan and groan when they tell you to try the free version first? Looking forward to more versions - they seem to update it pretty frequently.

Works amazingly!!!!. This is remote works great. People who say it doesn't shouldn't write a review. They did say that it might not work for some! So shut up people! Have some appreciation for them making something like this and warning u about it! Great for when u loose ur remote! Thanks alot! Only thing I would change- maybe is sound setting! Good APP. I use this app more than any other that i have. Too much tv i suppose. Never crashes on me. I downloaded this when my 3rd! Logitech Harmony 1100 broke. In my setup the Directv boxes are in another room so i have to have to use RF or wi-fi to control them. This app does a great job. I would like to be able to make a custom screen and take off buttons that i never use and just get in the way though.

Lov it. This app is so amazing I can do everything I want and if I lose my receiver I can just pull out my phone and turn on the TV or change the channel or anything I want and what I like about this version better is that you can add more receivers and that has more to the remote like the guide and everything else I think it's the most amazing and creative app out there!

Must Have App. This app is so convenient! It works like a charm! The reviews that pointed out that you need a specific IP Address really helped. I knew that my IP Address was capable, so I did not bother downloading the free "lite" version. I don't even bother looking for the remote when my kids misplace it. I just use my phone app for all four of our receivers. Now, I just need to find an app that will control the volume for each type of TV that we have.

Worth every penny!!. I just came home after a weeklong work trip and couldn't wait to catch up on all the season premieres… only to discover that my DirecTV remote had broken and outside of the basic controls on the box I had no way to fast-forward or pause the shows. I was lucky to find this app and it works beautifully! I am now all set until my replacement remote comes! :-) five stars!!

No longer works - wait it works, manual setup makes it work again. App worked flawlessly. The latest updates makes it useless. 3 Directv receivers in my house, all online. The app on my iPhone discovers 0. The app on my iPad Pro finds 1 and the remote has now been changed to resemble nothing close to my DirectV remote Thanks for the updates]. You should have left it alone. Useless now. Update: Never could find the settings link. Finally read a review. Go into your Settings> Find the app and select ‘allow manual setup’. Now set up your Directv receivers. Great. It works again.

Nicely done!. I've been looking for a solution for a remote that's become sluggish - buttons that respond intermittently or need to be pressed very hard or sometimes don't work at all, and I really didn't want to pay $25 for a new remote. This app really nails it. It's easy to set up and, because it looks just like the DirecTV remote, it's intuitive and easy to use. I'd love to see icons in the app's bottom icon bar (maybe even configurable swipes?) that go to commonly-used screens such as guide, list, info, etc., and possibly some multi-touch/swipe gestures for often-used functions, say, a two-finger tap for the "select" button, a top of the screen pull-down to switch among different receivers, and single-finger swipes for the directional arrows. Overall, though, this app can't be beat, especially for a buck. I do wish it could control the TV volume and power functions, but I understand why that's not possible.

More Bugs Than A Jungle Swamp. Version 5.0 is a bug’s paradise. It may or may not work on any given day. Don’t be fooled into thinking that if the free version works then this paid version will work. While the free version has limited functionality, at least it actually works. This paid version is at best a crap shoot not worth the gamble. It may accept manual entry of a reciever’s IP address when auto-discovery doesn’t work, however it usually fails to retain the address. The app’s HELP menu is currently a blank page that doesn’t even provide an email address to contact the developer to report issues. How convenient! Removing the app and then performing a clean reinstall doesn’t solve anything.

Works great even without remote. Some reviews seem to think you can't use this without a remote bc you need to get the IP address of your receiver to set it up. You can easily look at your router for a list of IPs connected to it. Just go down the list. I tried the first 2. 3rd time was a charm. Simple setup. Was exactly what I needed to watch DirecTV without my remote.

New version needs old remote option. It works but I miss the option to flip the phone in a 16x9 display and the remote would flip with it giving you more techy look. I’d prefer the tech look than the “DUMB” genie remote look.

Let's see how they take advice. It would get five stars because it works absolutely perfectly BUT it isn't the most effective. If the directional buttons were in the form of a touch squat where you swipe in the direction you want to go on screen instead of buttons it would be much easier to use. There's no button there to tell me my finger is in the right place so it would be easier to swipe. Check out how the harmony link's pad is.

Frustrating. I’ve had this app, off and on, for a few years now, in the beginning it worked great! Found all of my DirecTv boxes then there was an Apple update, think it was the iOs11 or ?? and it stopped working completely, so I deleted it and after a few months, guess they fixed the issue and again, worked great, seamlessly. BUT here we are again, another Apple update, what are we on now iOs 14?? But again, app stopped connecting and can’t find ANY receivers no matter how many times I delete and reinstall or try to manually connect, still says I’m not on “network” but clearly I am. Gonna delete and hope they update so I can reinstall and use it again.

Always in hand!. I am like most people. I can never find the remote but, I never loose my phone because I never set it down. This app solves it. Volume: Since the television is not connected to wifi its not applicable. I would be need in the future for them to write this in for the newer Flat Panel TVs that have apps and hook up with wifi or Ethernet and we were able to select brand and have volume enabled on the remote.

Works at first ... But then it won't work. Do not buy this. It will work then it will no longer connect and they will tell you it's because your IP address changed, but I checked and it did not. Plus what is the point of having this app if you have to keep reprogramming it every hour or so cause of an IP address change. just get the direct tv app and use your remote, even when functioning this app offers nothing new (I just like being able to use my iPhone which is always in my hands already it seems like).

Nice back up. Great when you can not find the remote or when watching tv in the dark. Still prefer the standard remote set to IR for scrolling through thru the guide as you have the quickest response time that way. This is to no fault of the app. the RF mode with standard remote is slower then IR. But this is only noticeable with the new HD guide because the response time is so much faster. Also note that WIFI is different form the RF your standard remote uses, this is why you need a networked receiver and WIFI and just not the receiver set to RF mode. That setting has nothing to do with how the app communicates with the receiver.

Better but..... Developer gets points for trying to make it better but is not there yet. The skinning is a good idea, unfortunately the color choices are still hideous. Also, i rather you have a separate color config screen rather than swiping side to side. I have already indadvertedly changed it trying to change channels. Also, the bookmarks screen still has problems refreshing. This was also a problem in the previous version. I am forced to switch back and forth between "bookmarks" and "whats on" to populate bookmarks list with the current program as it just stops half way down. Lastly, If I am at the bottom of the remote i have to scroll all the way to the top to pop the menu which is at the bottom. This is a usability problem. Minor, but very annoying.

Fantastic App. I have my DirecTV signal being sent from my bedroom to the bathroom. For less than $1 I can now control the receiver in the bathroom instead or IR extenders. Does everything the developer claims. To those complaining about a lack of volume control, you lack a fundamental knowledge of how remotes work. Educate yourself before whining about a lacking function that would not be feasible unless your TV was hooked up to and controllable by LAN.

Volume controls. Where are the Volume controls? Not on the remote!!!!

An incredibly useful app!. Instantaneously responds to the buttons you press on your phone and executes the command on your TV. Love the bookmark option for channels too. Next time the batteries die on my remote I won't be running around the house frantically searching for AAA batteries! I would also second the idea to include a volume control button, but I understand that involves the TV itself and not the DirecTV box. Regardless, thank you-great app!

Where do I find my IP Address?!. I have tried to use this app in the past and I still have the same problem. I can't find my IP Address! I have tried some of the other reviews suggestions and they have almost worked but most of the options to choose do not show up on my screen. Please help if someone can. It sounds like a good app but I can't get it to work.

Great app - does everything of says. Love it. Just took a few minutes to input the ip addresses of my receivers and it was off to the races. It even gives very good instructions on how to find out your ip addresses. I would give it 5 stars if it would display the ip addresses once you input them: make it a lot easier to set up another iPhone cuz I love it so much I bought it for my wife's phone too!

Perfect Remote. I love being able to control my TVs from anywhere in the world. I can even see what my kids are watching on their TV on the remote to even further monitor what they are exposed to. This app is a STEAL at $.99!!!! Easy to set up, easy to use and works better than expected!!

Awesome app. I've always got my phone on me, having three kids and a wife that sticks the remote everywhere, except where it should be. I sit down on couch get on net, Facebook email etc, all the while using my phone to change channels record etc. Awesome app, works perfect!!!!

Awesome. Lost a remote in a recent move. Downloaded the free version and it worked great, upgraded to full version and couldn't be happier. Works great and way cheaper than buying a new remote. I use the app now for all my receivers instead of the standard remotes!

Awesome App. I recently bought this app, but had some challenges setting my receiver up to allow external devices control. I sent a mail to the app developers, the support they provided via email was great. I got the stuff working correctly and now and I'm just loving it.

Great App Great Service. The app is great, I had an issue with the bookmark feature, but I sent an email and had a response within 30 minutes which solved the issue. All I had to do was reboot the receiver. Very happy with this app, it will let you control the receiver exactly the same way your remote does and more. Love the app thanks.

So easy to use and it works. We have wifi on our receivers so when i got this app i was in love. My favorite part is the bookmarks, Ive saved my favorite channels and i can see whats on without selecting each channel if i was using the regular remore.

Not bad. So far I'm happy with this app, I have noticed some problems under the bookmark section it doesn't find the channel you are looking for, and then the keyboard won't go away so you have to restart the app. But other than that everything seems good! I like the help section it really helped me set this remote up to work with my tv!

Get it--seriously.. "Where's the remote?" You will never ask that question again. This app works *better* than the DirecTV remote (no need to "aim" it at the receiver). Sure, volume control would be a plus, but I'm totally giving this 5 stars.

Awesome. It actually works. Remotes always get lost in or under the couch and it drives my wife and I insane. This is a must have app for all directv customers. I just wish you could get the entire remote on the screen without having to scroll up and down.

Works great!. Do you ever lay down in bed, try to watch a recorded show and realize you are locked out because too many receivers are viewing or recording shows at one time? Use this app to shut down one of the receivers without moving from your bed. If you don't hear someone shouting it means they are asleep. Lazy? Yes. Brilliant? Of course.

Works great. It works great, but you can't control volume. When you are setting the remote up, use the developers website instead of the app for help because the directions on the app are useless.P.S don't be like the others writing reviews and it won't work, if your IP address starts with 169 it won't work.

Update is flawed. Had used the previous version for over 5 years and worked flawlessly (over multiple networks in different locations). Now, when it actually connects to receivers it works great. If you manually enter ip addresses it will forget them (aggravating to have to enter all ip addresses every time I open the app) especially if you leave the network and get on another network (work vs home). It never “discovers” more than a couple of receivers, most of the time only one. I keep waiting for a fix because I used to love this app!

Awesome. I recently bought a tv for our sunroom but didn't want to pay $ every month for another receiver. I split the HDmI signal but was unsure how I would control the channels in there- then I found this app. It works as expected. Buy it. You won't be sorry.

Awesome!. The only thing I could think of for you to add to this app in the next update would be volume control for the tv. You could also add the little switch thing to the top of the remote that turns the tv and satellite on and off as well. Love. The. App!

Amazing. I love it. I had to call directv to figure out how to enable my receiver after that my remote worked perfectly I can even use it in the place that I couldn't use with my directv remote. The only downside is that their isn't a volume button, but other than that it's perfect!!!!

Would love to see a keyboard. Great app. Would love to see a full keyboard. I would think it could be done fairly easy, you can use the 2 hitting it twice for "B" just need a keypad showing a "B" and when hit would send the 2 twice. Would make searches fast and better then the DTV remote. The favorite section of the app rocks.

Horrible!!! Do NOT upgrade!!. This was with out a doubt one of the most used apps on my phone. Since the upgrade it is the least used app on my phone. I, like many others, was use to the actual remote layout on the app, now I have no idea what their trying to do. The button configuration is completely different, features on the old app have been removed. They took a perfectly good app and SCREWED IT UP! way to go! Someone should be fired for this mistake!

great. to Buddha1023. what's your email , maybe I can help you out ? this is a great app. I have 8 cable boxes . I had a few problems but once I figured it out it worked great . well worth .99 that I paid . I probably would have 99 dollars .

Works just like the real thing. This works really well and took no time to set up. *I was really hoping that it would have a keypad for typing in search items, though. The button mashing required to use that function makes me displeased.

Has glitches. It works but only sometimes. It says check that you IP address hasn't changed and it hasn't. And that your connected to your own wifi network, which we are and it still says that it can't connect. I close the app and reload it and nothing helps. It's very frustrating! I use this app because my regular remote broke and rather than pay to replace it and for shipping which is outrageous I use this. Please fix this! It's really annoying

Great little app. Downloaded, set up and was using this app in a matter of minutes. Does everything it claims. For the price, it's a steal. Only issue I see is that I may need to set static IP addresses for my receivers so they don't change and force me to set up the IP addresses in this app again. Highly recommend this app.

99-Cent Roll of the Dice. Cool idea, but no customer support if it doesn't work. Thought we had all the required specs. They ask that customers contact them before giving a poor rating. I called and left a message to a machine. A few days later, called and left a message with a guy who said he didn't work in that department. No call back. Guess it's not worth it to them, which is surprising as it appears to be a mom and pop operation.

Broken in latest update. This app used to work flawlessly, instantly connecting to my online DTV receivers. Now the app never finds my receiver upon opening. It seems to find them after 3 or 4 “refreshes,” but this is a marked and unwelcome change from the prior version. Yes it now looks like the newest generation of DTV remote, but, honestly, who cares? Function trumps form every time and the app no longer works nearly as well as prior versions. I can not recommend it until functionality is restored.

Simply put...it works!. I purchased this app to control my Directv while watching tv on my patio. It was easy to get up and running. I assigned static ip addresses to all my boxes but you don't need to. I like that the virtual remote looks like the original remote and it's FAST to respond to my commands.

Genie Fixed!. I have the new direct tv genie system. When I first downloaded this app it wasn't compatible. Then yesterday the app had an update and it works. This is a very cool app, works with all my tv's and it is a great option if you have wanted a backlit remote which direct tv doesn't offer. I would highly recommend this app.

JUST WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. This app is great!!! Works exactly as promised. I can now control my downstairs dtv box by remote and watch on directv2pc. I had no problems setting it up. Took less than 3 minutes. Great communication by developer. Quick response to any question. Good job!!!!

So. This app is great! And it works! If you have wifi the newer receiver and can follow BASIC directions! No there will never be a volume addition because on the app it says clearly that the IPhone does not have the hardware for it so don't ask Ignorance = low ratings just saying!

Awesome!. Love, love, LOVE this app. I downloaded the lite version to make sure my system worked first. When it did, I couldn't spend the $0.99 any faster. I love being able to bookmark my favorite channels and seeing what is currently on at a glance.

Perfect. This remote has everything. Pause fast-forward, rewind, play, everything. I downloaded this app because my battery started to die in my remote. Set up was super easy just enable your external devices on your receiver and match the correct IP address on the app very simple.

Amazing. Everyone that complains about this app should shut their cake hole. Reasons why its better then reg remote 1. Blue tooth makes it possible to control even when receiver is blocked or far away. 2.when u inevitably lose ur remote u got this app. 3. It doesn't drain ur iPhone battery and u don't waste disposable batteries Only thing i don't like is the ability to control volume and to function different inputs. I rarely write good reviews seeing as im quite critical for paid apps. But.... I love this one!

Awesome!. My remote just went out on me this weekend I was panicking until I found this app, I was expecting to pay more but the price is PERFECT! It was super easy to set up, anyone that has directtv should have this app as well. Thanks!

Very Nice App. Works great, easy to setup. A 5 star in my opinion. The reason you cannot adjust volume is because this app controls your DirecTV receiver only and the volume is a TV function not a receiver function. Still a good and convenient app !!!

Works as promised. Enough said!. Better than a remote considering I never lose my phone! One suggestion would be if you could add a swipe interaction screen. IE swipe right for move right swipe down for down. Tap for select etc. Similar to the samsung tv app. Much easier than trying to tap a small arrow to go down a 500 channel tv guide.

Amazing!!!. Wow I must say that this app is the best one on my iPod. It does truly work great. I wish it had a mute button at the most but other than that it's great when I'm too lazy to find the remote and when I'm watching tv with my dad I will mess up the tv and type in random channels it's really funny. Great job on the app but try to put a mute button on it but it's great

Nice app!! Works great. I love this app. Pretty straight forward to install and use. The bookmark feature is awesome!! I had a support question and they got back to me in 30 minutes. Give them a chance to fix the problem before you flame their app.

Excellent!. This app works great. I use it to control 3 DirectTV boxes and it never fails. At times I prefer to use this app instead of the one supplied by DirectTV. Only thing that would make better is some type of hardware add on that would let me change the tv volume.

Works like a charm!. Better than a normal remote because it gives you other info and one button clicking to your favorites. You def should try the free version to check compatibility as it says in the information. No extra equipment needed either! Awesome!

Good App!. DirecTOUCH is awesome! Now I can control every room in my house right from my phone. I had no problems getting it to work - took about 5 minutes, I just had to use the HELP guide to get my receiver setup first and then it was a no brainer. Nice work, please add more cool features in future updates.

Works like a charm out of the box!. Easy set up and use. Found this app just in time as my non user programmable universal remote just broke on me and I don't to call some service guy out to fix it. This won't control my Xbox, PC or other components yet but hopefully there will be an app for that soon!

New version doesn’t work for me. Worked just fine before the new version. I had the IP addresses of the receivers on my network set to static so I never had any problem. The new version will not find my receivers 99% of the time and it won’t remember them for next time when it does manage to find them. I used to use it on a regular basis, but now it is worthless. Update: I just discovered you can go into the settings in the settings app and enable manual configuration. Now I can enter my IP address and use the app.
