Brilliant!. Loving the FN Kitchen app. The classes, live and archived, are numerous and varied. I’ve enjoyed the live classes, and Q&A interaction is easy. Content is excellent and the chefs are obviously invested in communicating effectively, imparting great info and tips, and making us more confident in our own kitchens. I am glad that all the recipes I had already saved on the Food Network web migrated seamlessly to the app. I am stoked that I can add my own recipes. I am particularly enjoying the meal plan application; it helps me with shopping and preparation, even if I’m only cooking for myself. I also place “to try” recipes into the meal planning page so those recipes are prominent in the potential lineup, even if I haven’t assigned them to a specific date. Streaming quality is exceptionally good. App is a terrific value. Well done!

I was a little disappointed. I was so excited for this app , I was prepared to subscribe to get the full app with classes . Thankfully there was a free trial . When taking the classes it frustrated me that they took so many non cooking questions durning the classes . Questions that had nothing to do with what we were preparing . This may sound like sour grapes but I would summit a legit question like do the eggs have to be at room temp , and they would ask the Chef questions like .. Chef this fan would like to know if you could eat any food for life what would it be ... I know fans have their place too but atleast get some food questions in there too . I’m not going to pay to be a stalker fan of the Chef I want to really learn how to prepare good food . I just thought it would be more professional and the classes be more about food and less about celebrities and their fans .

Cooking for my Dad. My dad who is 80 came to live with me the summer of 2019 because he was no longer able to take care of himself. When it comes to his tastebuds he is simple and has never experienced different types of foods. He is very old school and a creature of habit. He loves to eat but he is a basic meat and potatoes type of guy because that’s how he was raised. Well I wanted to introduce him to a different way of eating and open up his tastebuds. I prepare different meals weekly from the Food Network App on my phone. My Dad is absolutely loving it. He literally is excited for dinner every night and asks me first thing in the morning, what are you cooking for dinner daughter. When I tell him he throws his hands up and says “oh boy I can’t wait to taste it” lol. He thinks I’m a genius in the kitchen and the best cooker in the world. He doesn’t understand technology, computers and apps so he doesn’t understand it’s the Food Network thats turned me into a Chef 😉. So thank you Food Network for all of your amazing recipes and the tips and tricks I’ve learned in cooking. You’ve truly made an old man happy 😊 ❤️

Frustrated. One of the things I liked most about this app is that it would show me the recipes on screen right then. It would change essentially with the shows. Unfortunately it doesn’t always do that. Right now my app is stuck with the show that was on at 7 o’clock this morning. It’s now noon and a whole different chef is on the screen and I cannot find them in your list of chefs much less the recipe they’re cooking. That is why I gave you the rating I did. I do go to your app quite often to find recipes and ways to create food dishes I would never consider. I enjoy your TV shows but again I am frustrated with this app when I cannot find the recipe that’s on the screen. Nickie

Ads keep redirecting to websites when just trying to scroll. The new updates have been very frustrating with respect to the advertising. When scrolling down the page, if you happen to place your finger on the ad to scroll, it launches the web browser and directs to the ad landing page. It seems very sensitive to touch, especially considering I need to touch the screen to scroll. This has been the word experience of all my apps. I know you have to make money but it seems like both a crappy experience for users and your advertisers since it makes them think the ad works but it really is your sensitive tap that launches their site.

Negative reviews of recipes are not accepted!. When I tried the Apple Buckle recipe on this site, I was sorely disappointed, so when I registered a 1 star review and some significant criticism on the Food Network website, I got the following message:” Whoops! There’s a little trouble with our server right now. Please try again later.” I left that review up to re-enter again and again “later”, including the next day, and I kept getting exactly the same message. So, I can only deduce that the site does not really want negative reviews. Then, how representative are their “reviews” if they don’t allow negative ones? By the way, when I tried to access the same recipe again today, it was only accessible if I subscribed to their premium account. Huh? It was available yesterday, and I have printed out the recipe from earlier on. This all seems rather suspicious to me. I am uninstalling this app.

Love but crashes way to many times when using. I have to edit my review from below, this app now gets two stars because I literally can't even access my collections anymore because the app crashes every time I do. You guys keep adding new features without actually addressing the crashing issues. It's such a great app, but it's too frustrating to use at this point. I really don't understand what the developers are doing that's making them not realize how severe the crashing issue is for those of us who regularly use this app and try to take advantage of all the great features. Previous review: I really love this app, but it literally crashes at least three times every time I use it. When I'm watching videos or trying to write reviews it crashes even more often than that. I really have never used an app that crashes as much as this one does. It's really frustrating and I don't understand how the developers have not found a solution. But I really do love how easy it makes accessing recipes that are on the shows.

Disappointed. I’m surprised no one has mentioned that we will have to pay for the app now? I’m so disappointed because this is my very favorite app! I have more than a hundred recipes saved from over the years and recently started categorizing them. I love to watch the shows and look up the recipe while watching. Also I just received an Echo so the app is now linked to that which is super handy! Unfortunately I’m not going to pay the monthly fee for it. To me it’s not worth it just for the live classes. I’ve watched some but most often it doesn’t work with my schedule or the ones that do aren’t ones I’m interested in. Also has anyone noticed now not as many of the famous chefs are offering classes? It’s probably a great service don’t get me wrong, just not worth it to me. Currently moving all my recipes to Pinterest as that will be a lot easier to access for me. 😕

Recipes are Fantastic, Minor Complaints. There is no doubt that the Food Network is the best recipe app that I have used this far. The serving sizes are always accurate, and there is no shortage of new and fun dishes to make. With that being said, I have a few minor complaints / suggestions. One thing that the app doesn’t do that other recipe apps do is tell you all the cookware / utensils you need before starting. It would be helpful to know all the cookware I would need before starting the whole cooking process. The other feature that I would say needs improvement is the baking instructions. Often times there are multiple steps included in one step making it very easy to forget to do or overlook some important part of the cooking process. It would be helpful if the steps were actually step by step instead of in paragraph form. These are very minor improvements that would make a world of difference when cooking. Please don’t let my small suggestions deter you from downloading this app, as I have had a very good experience and I know you will too!

Zero Stars if I Could. First I experienced confusion, anger, and finally just disappointment. We downloaded the Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad versions of this app and paid $40 for the premium pass, expecting to be able to watch full episodes of Food Network shows on our Apple TV. This was a Christmas gift for my wife. There is no tab for shows on the Apple TV app. Actually, there is a tab labeled shows, but the contents inside that tab are not full shows, they are short clips of individual recipes, some are barely over a minute long. It is possible to open the App on the iPad, find a full length show, and then hit Airplay icon in the corner to get content to the TV, but after about 9 minutes the audio and video are badly out of sync. Mouths stop and speech continues. The only way to correct this is to pause, disconnect Airplay, reconnect Airplay, and unpause. This must be done every 9-10 minutes. This happened for three different episodes of three different shows. We are using a brand new Apple TV, and 6 month old iPad Pro, and both have the most recent OS on them. Summary: the content is not organized well, the interface is wildly different across platforms, and the delivery of the content is sketchy unless you’re interested in watching the full-length shows on an iPhone or iPad. Disappointed.

Just use the internet. Imagine being the Food Network and locking what seems like 90% of your app behind a subscription paywall. Seriously? When I can go to any recipe website for free? Edit: I wanted to address the response to this review, which I’m sure was written by a bot. I don’t know what crackhead decided that would be the automated response, but when you lock this much of the app’s functions behind the subscription, you are indeed pathetic. For those reading this review and the response, look at how they word it. You can indeed save recipes, but that’s it. Want to watch those videos? Pay. Want to make a meal plan? Pay. Want to know the NUTRITIONAL FACTS of the recipes you just freaking saved? You guessed it, pay. Keep in my mind this isn’t some small developer with like 2 employees. It’s the freaking Food Network. Either use the internet or another app that’s actually free to use.

Recent Updates in app format = negative user experience. Recent Updates in app format = negative user experience. One example: You used to be able to not only “see what’s on TV now”, but also, what was recently played, and those recipes as well without being driven to a locked/paid page. I don’t want to rewatch the show, I just want to be able to see and save some of the recipes from the episode. New format forces me to try and find the recipe in general search, but if I don’t know the exact name of the recipe, it’s an exhaustive search which usually results in me abandoning the search and moving on. I don’t always have the luxury of watching the show live as I expect is true for most— Eventually this experience will lead to loss of readership/followers/users. I understand trying to monetize premium new features (taking a how to class, for example) but making previous feature/ functions now paid, or super inconvenient to access will ultimately drive people away, even your long term users.

Triple Screen Time. Love this app! So I’m happy to offer feedback. Having trouble with the original option to view recipes on TV now. Often, on weekends it doesn’t allow you to refresh the screen when a new show comes on. You get stuck with gray vibrating graphics—for an hour or all day. So thanks for launching the new view recipes on TV now option. Less vibrating, gray graphic, but there’s still not gone completely. However, the new photo link is rather confusing. Links and clicks don’t take you exactly where you’re expecting to go. It can be hard to find the recipe that is actually on TV now and you can get caught in a circle out there in the show’s schedule section— and never find the actual recipe that has just been aired. Other than that, this is a convenient all-in-one app! With all my saved recipes, organized on boards, it’s my go to every time I cook. The ratings/comments on each recipe are extremely helpful!! Great—and sometimes essential—insights that help each recipe turn out perfectly. Great move when you enabled us to save recipes from other websites! That’s what makes this app my recipe home base. Watching Chef Tila’s first episode now. Need to turn the TV off and get going, but I’d put anything aside for Jet!

Restaurant Quality at home.. The amt of time to prep and cook was an easy flow of time and bragging rights at home or at a party. I added capers to give it an additional pop. You can’t go wrong with more garlic. Make sure you start off with 10 mins, you’ll need more time depending on the size of the shrimp. DO NOT overcook. That’s the other key to this wonderful recipe. It goes well over Angel Hair pasta or a bed of rice. Oh yeah, I used lime instead of lemons. (One lime equals two lemons) I’m telling you, stick with these instructions. You can flair out later to call it ur own. Enjoy, this is an easy meal to make but easier to eat. Since I wrote this, I’ve made it again. On the side I added mushrooms. My college bound kids love it. This dish has endless possibilities. Enjoy and don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.

Food Network Rocks!!. I’ve been a Food Network addict for years! I watch my favorite shows every weekend when I wake up and I’ve gotten tons of great new recipes and party ideas. We all get sick of eating the same old stuff and all of the shows featured will give you fantastic recipes often using the same ingredients you already have in your pantry. The app is a fabulous bonus! I can look up and save recipes I’ve seen on tv or search for new ones online. If you want to pay the really cheap price, you can also watch live videos of your favorite chefs/cooks show you how to prepare food. You can watch episodes of your favorite Food Network shows. This is by far one of my favorite apps! If you’re a foodie like me, you totally NEED this app!!! 😋

Regular crashes. It locks up. I delete it. Miss it after a week and download it again. A week goes by and it locks up again. The pattern continues. Here’s an update. Got an email from the developers. That was encouraging. It asked to contact them, give more details, etc. so they could assist me. I sent an email and Received a reply that said sorry I couldn’t respond to every email. Too bad I like this app that I deleted again for about the fifth time. I might try it again in six months to see if they fixed it. Another update. Technical support contacted me and the person was excellent. We tried several things. Nothing seem to work. I do like this app very much and even tried unloading my whole phone resetting everything and reinstalling from back up that didn’t work. I have some news for technical support. The app now works I turned off my Ad Blocker software and some network security software. Food Network finally loaded I turned the two security programs back on now everything seems to work. If the app works I do recommend it. Even when it didn’t work on my iPhone it worked on my iPad and I was using it there give it a try good luck I hope you don’t have to go what I thought went through but it’s probably worth it.

Gets better and better with each update!. I love this app and it keeps getting better with every update. I love the courses, especially the ones that focus on a skill, like cake baking/decorating. I enjoy the step-by-step classes when making something I am totally unfamiliar with. It is so helpful to be able to save and categorize recipes. The meal planner and the grocery list is helpful for planning my week. It is laid out nicely and very user friendly. The one thing I’d like to see changed is to move my recently viewed recipes up to an option at the top of the Explore page. I have an older iPad and this slows things down a little. Other than that, it runs really well on my older device. I look forward to trying out the new recipe import!! Thank you Food Network Kitchen!!

Hate the update soooooo much !!!. This went from my favorite app to my most annoying app. They’re really pushing premium and completely redesigned the app in the most inconvenient way. They’re pushing premium so hard that getting to my personal boards took forever trying to see through the pop up premium. I look up a recipe I see premium first. I wish they made a separate app or kept the old design and made the premium section a different column. Now I have to be a rebel and wait to buy premium because of how annoyed I am by seeing it EVERYWHERE!!!! I get it you want me to buy but it feel like one of those people in Walmart attacking me to sign up for cable services that I already have. Please push it a little less and make navigating on the app easy again pleaseeeeeeeee!

What did they do to this app??. If they thought they were making it better they are gravely mistaken. I absolutely hate this new version. I have given it time and tried to navigate around and it is so poorly designed. I used to be able to watch all my favorite cooking shows every Saturday and Sunday morning and as I would find a recipe that I liked that the chef was cooking at the time, I could open the app and the apps home page would automatically display what show was on air. I simply tapped the show and it automatically displayed what dishes the chefs were cooking at that time which then I simply saved the recipe to the appropriate board I created in my saves. Now, I have to search around for what is on air and even when I find it, there’s a huge lag. The app is showing the show that aired previously and it’s impossible to find the new show with what they are cooking. If this is the way, the app is going to stay, I won’t be using it all and go back to other recipe/cooking websites and apps. Please bring back the old version😩 Also, you have to “search” for the freaking search engine on this app....Who designed this app? You definitely didn’t make it better. If it’s not broken, DON’T fix it!

My FIRST & BEST place to find a tried & true GOOD recipes. I love the Food Network & The Kitchen app. These are always my go to first choice to find a good recipe for things I want to cook. The Food Network has the best chef’s who I trust when I want to cook something special. Chefs Anne Burrell’s Surf & Turf with Grilled Vegetables is my family’s all time favorite. As well as Dad’s Meatloaf with Tomato Relish by Tyler Florence. One day I made Alex Guarnaschelli’s Blackened Salmon, Brown Sugared Carrots, Eggplant Parm & her Cannolis all in the same day. We were having company. Boy, if that didn’t delight my family & friends!! Scott Conan, Robert Irvine, Michael Symon & Bobby Flay are my other favorites. Anne Burrell taught me how to cut an onion properly. How about that? I guarantee you won’t be disappointed choosing The Food Network & The Kitchen. Enjoy!!

Frustrating shopping list but great for planning. I like that it has a meal plan feature and you can upload the recipes into a meal plan and shopping list. The frustrating part is the shopping list. It doesn’t seem to combine the entries. For example, this week my shopping list had 2 entries for eggs. One entry was for 26 eggs and then the second was 3. I can add those together, fine. But the entries for the tortillas bothered me. There were 3. One was simply “tortillas”, another was “flour tortillas” qty 12, and the other “fajita sized flour tortillas” qty 16. Are they all the same size? How many qty for entry that didn’t list it? It wouldn’t be a problem if someone had the time to reference their meal plan and double check everything but not a quick print and go list. Otherwise, it is a great app for picking and planning recipes. Also easy to use.

Unable to save recipes without creating an account. Very disappointed that I can’t bookmark within the app without signing up for an account using personal info. Been years since I wrote this and it’s the same. Please let us bookmark without an external service. This received a developer response but it just told me to ask any questions. Last time I made this exact request to them they send a response about not being able to answer all messages. So again I’m saying: please allow us to bookmark/save recipes in app without signing up or filling out personal information. Dear developer who keeps offering to “explain” it to me: I know you’re doing your job, but there’s nothing to explain. I should not have to give personal information in order to use a bookmark feature within the app. Period. It’s invasive and in this day and age, I want to cut down on how much of my info is in databanks that can be breached. It is a bad feature and really should be removed. Food Network does not need my email or any other info.

App has been disappointing lately. This is truly my favorite food app but something has been happening lately where the recipes on TV now are not the recipes that are on TV now. At one point I could click on the chef, at the top of that page, and see the current shows recipes but today I can’t even do that. Please fix! Thx! UPDATE! The staff reached out to me about my issues with the app. Now why can’t all app owners do this?!? My issue was immediately fixed and the app is working wonderfully once again! Thank you FN staff for responding so fast and caring about the problem(s) I had encountered. Truly grateful!

6.0.0 update is the worst. I’ve read all the recent reviews available since the 6.0.0 update. They are not favorable. The majority have one star ratings. My rating is one star as of the 6.0.0 update and I would have given no star if that option had been available. I would list all of my issues with the new update but the reviews that I have read have them all. I am now using the Food Network website again for show information, cooking tips, recipes, etc., things I would have used the app for before 6.0.0. I started using this app when the Food Network first made it available on their website. I gave it a five star rating. I have continued to use it after all of the updates, format changes, and glitches, since. However, as of the 6.0.0 update, the smart thing to do is restore this app to it’s pre-6.0.0 format update. If your developer response to this is “thank you for your feedback. If there is anything we can help you with please let us know...”, my answer is “offer your current version as a new altogether separate app”, with it’s new features, the cooking classes, etc. I’m sure there are some users that will use it and like it. cc: The Food Network, Corporate

Needs Improvement. While I love the recipes and the Food Network, this app is very frustrating. It’s slow to load, crashes a lot, and returns too many irrelevant results. The filtering is too basic and needs more options such as method of cooking, ingredients, nutrition and diet concerns etc. For example, I don’t want to look for a pork tenderloin recipe and be given all the pork recipes with random desserts mixed in. Too time consuming to sort through when you add all the crashes too. You should also be able to exclude unwanted ingredients (allergies, aversion to tastes). While Yummly isn’t perfect in its search results, it still has better search options (user inputed, not suggestive which don’t elicit those results anyway) that this app could learn from.

Wonderful aside from some inconsistencies. I have been using this app for a little over a year and I really love it! Some recipes are absolute fails (Trisha Yearwood’s snickerdoodle recipe has many things wrong with it) and occasionally there are problems such as missing ingredients from the instructions or ingredient list, no cooking time, etc. I have made hundreds of recipes and there are very few with mistakes. The one thing that really bothers me about this app that is difficult to look past is the fact that it doesn’t list the nutrition information. It doesn’t specify how much a serving is or how many calories in a serving. This is a huge issue for people looking to watch weight or gain weight. Aside from that however, I am happy with the app and can look past minor problems.

Great Idea!. I absolutely love this app. I check it almost every day now. I’m always checking for upcoming classes and previous classes. I love having the option to ask the chefs questions during live recordings. I thought that was a nice touch to add. The price is totally worth it too. Only $35 for an entire year with a full year to try the app with all the perks for a year for FREE. I also, love the tips in every episode I’ve watched. From knife tips to the importance of having everything in order before you began cooking and building your dish. A French term “mise en place.” I love it 100%. Thank you, Food Network!

This is what a food-based channel should be. I love the Food TV network app. It reminds me of the shows I used to watch as a child that inspired me to go to culinary school and become a chef. They harken back to a time when Martin Yan, Jeff Smith, Jacques Pepin, Julia Child reigned supreme. When shows were about transferring knowledge and not on just being entertaining. They also remind me of when the Food TV Network was just born and shows like Emeril Lagasse’s How to Boil Water were there to cook alongside us. As of late, I had been disappointed in the network’s offerings and had been going to alternative media for food knowledge fix. Now I have the app on almost 24/7. I love it!!!!

Recipe ratings are moderated very well. Why are the reviews of recipes not moderated at a higher level? I have seen nasty comments about different chefs being allowed to be posted that have nothing to do with rating a recipe. Case in point moderators need to check out a rude comment left on the recipe” stuffed French onion soup burger”. Also I have seen many users posting that star ratings on a recipe should not be allowed without the accompaniment of a comment stating the reason for the rating. Please take consideration of these concerns as they will only increase the quality of what users expect on a fine app such as this one. Don’t let trash talk about chefs be allowed to be posted as a critique on the quality of a recipe. Please MODERATE comments like stated when a user goes to leave a rating. As of right now it appears someone is not doing a very good job at upholding the quality of of your site.

New update makes this app much worse!. I love Food Network and I use the app in conjunction with watching a show to look at and save recipes. But now the app has been “upgraded” and has become much more user “UNFRIENDLY!” For instance, you USED to be able to just click the show and find your recipe in the show section. Now the show section is only for paid members to watch videos. If you want a specific recipe from a show you have to search in a general search area which brings up EVERY recipe in the Food Network stable which can be considerable. This may seem like a minor inconvenience but if you want to just get to the one recipe from the show your watching, it’s a complete pain and harder than just searching in google. The purpose of the app app is for convenience. This “upgrade” is actually a major downgrade from the way it used to be. This is a app designer making the app “better” for paid members, but making it much worse for the the rest of us.

Rate. I love this app. I love finding new recipes and learning new things but I feel it’s very subjective. Don’t get me wrong, I love trying out chicken, pork, and beef recipes; sometimes lamb. I just feel with all the credible chefs, they should have a lot more creative recipes. They’re very pretentious. I feel they should branch out and start cooking things like venison. My husband actually goes out and hunts deer, gets it processed then I make dinner with the processed meat. I don’t see barely any recipes with that. I just feel it’s a little “been there, done that” with these recipes. Try branching off. These chefs need a challenge for gods sake. They make so much money, and they haven’t even been trying. Try branching off a little. Make it challenging. Just recreating recipes. I used to pay for this app and now I can see why they quit paying people to use it. No creativity. Just the same stuff.

Love that it exists but it is the dumbest app ever (with updates now!). You can’t search through your own saved recipes and pretty much all items have a name you won’t remember. Can’t search “lemon chicken” to find “general Isaac lemon chicken.” Also the collections option is ridiculous. Really, really poor design. You should be all levels of embarrassed Food Network. Update: now my app will open and automatically close. Can’t search, can’t access saved recipes, can’t use it. Update: 2018 - love the new search feature in saved recipes. That makes it sooo much more user friendly. The update stopped the app crashing too! Now - let’s get the collections part functional and we party.

Love this app!. I can’t tell you how often I use this app — have fresh produce I want to use? Use the app to find new recipes. Looking for a recipe similar to how my grandma used to make chicken divan… check the app. The app also lets you save recipes (in categories) and has a meal planning feature. There are also teaching videos and full episodes of some Food Network shows. I like it also when I watch a show live and I can go to the app and find the recipe and save it. My only recommendation would be to somehow change the search function so that recipes I save that I return to again and again appear at or near the top of the search results. All in all I love the app and have recommended it to others. Once you start using it and dig in, it will become your favorite recipe app.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!. This app is rarely closed on my iPad and/or iPhone. I have counted on it daily since its release and keep updating my saved recipes every weekend while watching my favorite shows. So much easier than having to turn on my laptop to access food network like I had to back in the day. The only fault I can find is in myself for not keeping up with my reviews of recipes which I love in the app. I would just say when you download this app and start using the recipes, as you inevitably will, just try to be mindful of giving the chefs reviews, as they work very hard on their craft. I absolutely love each and every chef on this network and really appreciate all that they add to my life on a daily basis.

Needs improvement!!. The organization of videos, recipes, and chefs needs to be improved! Search results logic uses every single word, instead of the string of words, resulting in hundreds to thousands of results. What’s worse, there’s no sorting or way to filter the search results. Way too many terrible recipes. Some “chefs” are really scraping the bottom of the barrel just to put something on there. The reminders for live videos is horrible. They either don’t work, only work within 24 hours of the broadcast, or an email is sent over 24 hours beforehand. What good does the email do?! If the email was sent, there’s no reminder when it starts! Once it’s been scheduled, there is no way to undo it. No way to see all the upcoming videos I scheduled or finished viewing in my own personal list. Should work much better for a paid app!!! Developers responded and only addressed one item. Again, what good does receiving an email reminder 24 hours before the class starts without a reminder when it actually starts?! What about seeing our own personal list of classes we’ve scheduled, missed, and viewed?

Ree Drumond, The Pioneer Woman. I made yet another recipe from Ree and like the rest, turned out Fantastic! I made the Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies last night and over baked the 1st batch and like she says, give them lots of room to spread. I have a commercial size pan and put four across and they all stuck together using the teaspoon size scoop. Ok, I only had to do it once to learn I don’t like them burned! So the next two batchesI put 12 to the sheet and only baked them for 8 minutes! Perfection!!! I did make the Dump Cakes once but it was way too much Butter. Of course, they still were eaten but would only use half the Butter next time. Thanks for having this site available for us! Great job Ree

Foodie in love, recommending to others.. I cook a lot, and have to say that this app is my go-to. I love the fact that there are so many similar recipes, since I love reading through a few to understand the concept, and then adapting it to my taste. This variety also means that there is a perfect dish for everyone! Definitely helps me with my picky eaters...=^\ My favorite part though, has to be the recipe box they have setup. I get to save all the dishes I like the most in, something like, folders. You can name and sort them how you choose. I've used the basic, breakfast, lunch, dinner, sides, dessert, and sauces, and the like, in addition to some more specific ones for me. Great way to always come back to a recipe that just won't stick into memory. Now I've had this for years and wouldn't trade it. I honestly don't have another recipe app for food on my phone other than this and have recommended it to many. Awesome!

Summer slackers. I love Food Network and the app. It’s my go to for everything from weekday dinners, desserts, special occasions, or anytime I need ideas. But summer time is soooo redundant. The videos haven’t changed in months and the suggestions haven’t changed either. Honestly, you could do better. Summer associates can do research and there has to be someone on staff that can keep the website relevant. It’s 2019, the amazing social media natives that are excited about food should be able to keep up with the current trends. I’m an older viewer. Hate it but it’s true. I have been a Food Network for more years than Alton Brown can remember... time to bring the app up to date and current ALL YEAR THROUGH. I will continue to hunt and peck this summer to find things I need. Can’t help it, I LOVE Food Network. But being current is important. You all need to make that happen all year long.

Do not subscribe - Google is free. Paid for a year w/mag subscription. Never received the mag. My subscription access was hit-or-miss for awhile until it was a total miss for over 2 months. Neither Discovery nor FN support supports FNK directly. Tickets were created - to this day, there has been ZERO resolution or contact/follow up. I had to google recipes the entire time. Since Google is free and the app has proven unreliable, why pay for something that does not work as expected? I am not renewing the plan and will delete app once subscription ends. *** UPDATE: to the developer: The email address you asked me to send an email to in response to my initial review looked familiar. Turns out I emailed back in September. Would you like to guess what type of response I received?? 🙄 I’ll forward all of the correspondence to that address; maybe since “the Developer” requested the info, someone will actually do something. I doubt it; however, …. I just cannot justify paying for this again.

Great App!. This app is great for everything from finding a quick meal to cook, to challenging yourself to eat healthier to expanding your skills. The only thing I wish it would do is have a way to consolidate ingredients into a note if I save multiple recipes so that I can go to the store, pull up one list and go from there rather than scanning multiple recipes. An in-app grocery list where I could check-off items would be great. That way I could check off what I already have at home without trying to remember in the store. That would also help prevent getting home only to realize you forgot to pick something up from the store. I would pay for that feature.

Free How To. I’m learning to fend for myself and it’s so helpful to have a free and expansive list of recipes. I get healthy recipes that are easy and phone friendly. Online recipes have the problem that it’s clogged with so many ads that my phone burns up and the battery dies quickly. Some of my favorite recipe sites have shifted to being a subscription service. Others apps I’ve used has had high dollar ingredient lists or high end kitchen equipment. This app works for me. I don’t know when, but I’m sure this app won’t be free forever. So for now, I highly rate and recommend the Food Network app for giving access to recipes that can be quick, easy, made with cheaper ingredients, and so much more, while it remains free. This is not something I would pay for like a wasted gym membership.

The App Doesn’t Launch!. Even after following these steps from your website the app will not launch! App Won’t Launch - Try a hard restart on your device. On the iPhone or iPad, hold down the top Lock Button and the Home button until you see the Apple logo. This will take a few seconds. In the meantime, ignore the "slide to power off" prompt – just keep holding those buttons down until you see the Apple logo. Once the device has restarted, try launching the app again (make certain you are connected to WiFi or 3G) to see if you still receive the error message. If the restart doesn't work, try to reinstall the app. Make certain that you are connected to WiFi, LTE, or 3G as the app will not work otherwise. Touch and hold any application icon on the Home screen until the icons start to wiggle. Tap the "x" in the corner of the application you want to remove. You may be prompted to rate the application. Tap Delete to remove the application and all of its data from your device. Press the Home button to cancel or stop deleting apps. Open the App Store on your device and locate the application to reinstall. Tap the price and then "Buy." If prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information. If you previously bought the application, you are prompted to download it again for free. Tap “OK” and the app will download and install the application. After the application is installed, your issue should be resolved.

Awful awful awful !!!. I’ve had so many problems since my last review it’s even worse than before. Every time I log in i have to change my password to get in or I can’t find my saved recipes. I contact them and they send me to the help center which isnt helpful at all. I contact them and they tell me to do different things. Sometimes they work, but usually not. This app used to be my favorite go to for recipes but they keep making it worse and worse. This is my last time trying. I am deleting it This app is so unreliable. Sometimes I can bring up the season and recipe I want, sometimes not. Mostly not. Today I keep losing it totally. I tap what I want. It hesitates then the whole app goes away and I start over. After several tries I gave up. Go back to the old version!!!! Still love the show. It’s my number 1 This is the best cooking show on tv. It’s fun to watch, very helpful and the crafts are great. I love to cook and try new things but don’t always have a happy ending. this answers a lot of questions. The chefs explain things and are a good combination that seems to enjoy themselves. Keep it up. I love it!!!!

Cannot see what the new version is.... Unfortunately for me, the app updated itself. I wish I could go back to the old version. I have yet to be able to even see what this new version offers. I used to look regularly for recipes, but since the update I haven’t been able to open it. It either closes itself, or takes me to the password to open the phone (was obviously already open since I was able to click on the app.). Once I re-enter my password, back to the main screen as if nothing was ever opened. Going to delete it. Sorry Food Network, I’ve been a viewer since it started MANY years ago (about 19!), and used this app regularly, but there’s no point to keep it. Sadness.

Flavorful. Love this app, recipes, and chefs. Wish you included cooking channel chefs and shows. Kelsey is one of my faves. Love the recipe box. I wish I could enter my own or share with other apps. I always have to go to the web and cut and paste the same recipes in this app to share. Just updated and I can't even open the app. Major crash. Totally useless now. March 2, 2018...I just saved a recipe from the on tv now DDD. I went to my stuff to make some notes and every time I try to open the recipe it takes me to a totally different recipe in my box. Always the same recipe. The app has crashed a few times lately. Please fix.

App can still be tweaked. I’m not sure yet. Still trying to navigate it. One thing I wish I could do is look up recipes from recently aired episodes. Currently I am only able to do this on the browser site— or perhaps it’s just not easy to locate on the app? It would also be nice to search according to ratings which would take into consideration number of reviews. I like 5 star recipes that are rated by 100 reviewers or more. Anyway, those are my 2 wishlist items so far. ***Update**** Thank you to the Developer response I was able to look at recipes for “on air” shows by using the On Air Now tab. I didn’t realize this also meant recipes were included and could be saved from there.

From enjoy to disappointed. I’ve been using the Food Network app for a long time and I was really excited and enjoyed it first. But there are some limitations to the design of the app as well as one of those designs stopped working for me, which has been very, very frustrating. First when you’re trying to meal plan it’s not like after you cook it it goes away. You manually have to go in and take it out of your menu and the dates don’t go in the right order so you have to scroll through everything you’ve cooked or delete it to get to the next day I don’t understand that. And then at some point within the last months or a year if I put things on my menu planner, the app is screwing up and date or just take it off of that date. It won’t let me change the date. If I didn’t cook it that day it says please choose a future date when I used to just be able to. On, and it would go back into getting ready to be so I have no idea what caused that change It’s too much work and annoying and fun enjoyable. I love to cook, but due to this, I don’t search are use Food Network network recipe also if I go online or I’m trying to find that chef on the actual network TV show you find the recipe on the app I have to go to the web and look up the recipe and then copy and that is just way too much work! It’s supposed to make this easier not more complicated Sorry, disappointed you to contact Food Network. I’ve tried that to fix the but nobody is around to help out with issues Bummed

Way to many feedback request.... I eagerly installed the app this morning and not two hours later I want to delete! I opened it up for first time 10 minutes ago, and all I get are feedback request! Quite literally every thirty seconds! I took three of the same survey within two minutes. Every time you click on recipe it pops up to give feedback. If you say no thanks or not right now it keeps popping up every thirty seconds! If you take survey/feedback, then it waits until you open new recipe. The question is “How likely are you to recommend this app to a friend”...I don’t know if I would because I got thirty seconds into the app before being hounded for feedback. I had no time to explore, to truly use the app. I might have really liked this app, as I find I tend to turn to Food Network for fresh new recipes ...but now I just feel bummed.

Old Habits Die Hard...... I have always been an avid cookbook collector. It’s hard for me to pass up a display arranged to sell whether at a dedicated store or on a card table at a garage sale. When stressed or needing some ME time I would sit for hours skimming through recipes I knew I would never create but drooling over photographs of food to simply die for. I admit I still fall victim to this on occasion however I have added a new chapter to my cookbook addiction, that of this Food Network app. It is all I could ever want in finding anything and everything to do with food. It’s quick when I need it to be and quite satisfying when I want to indulge in my ME time. Very enjoyable.

I liked the old version so much better. I get the goal here, you need to develop and grow the app so you can make money off of it, but I don’t like the new version at all. And I am upset you pushed this upgrade and didn’t give me a chance to choose whether I want the new version. I don’t care about all the content you have under Premium. I used to watch the FN channel shows, see some recipe I liked, then search it in the app and save it. Now my app is full of stuff I don’t like/want under all that Premium locks. On top of that, you have a ton of adds, so it just looks awfully cluttered. I feel like my own recipes are buried, the app is so busy with all sorts of stuff I don’t care about so I am using it less and less.

Who needs to buy a cookbook when you have this. Since I’ve downloaded this APP I’ve been able to find and make allot of dishes. The amazing part is when I go to restaurants and eat something amazing. I just plug into THIS app the name of the dish and WALA!! The recipe comes up! For instance, I love eating a bowl of Pasta Fagioli soup in fine Italian restaurants. I said to myself. Let me try this app for it! It is by far one of the best soups I now make at home ten times cheaper and tastier than Italian restaurants. I dare you to prove me wrong. Just THINK of a dish!!

Software Flaw. Very useful app made so particularly by the ability to add your own notes but . . When adding a note you press “Done” to return to the recipe or “Clear” to erase the note. In the process of cooking, adjusting portion size and editing the note it’s easy to mistakenly press Clear, instantly erasing the entire note and literally hours of time spent adjusting the recipe to taste. Food Network: change the app by adding a pop-up window when “CLEAR” is pressed, asking “DO YOU WANT TO ERASE THIS NOTE?” before it is erased. This is basic programming technique common not only to Apps but essentially all software!! With that change you have a 5-Star app.

Filter button frozen. Hi! Love this app, it’s so cute and well organized 🙌🏽 One thing though: when I went to the Classes section, I clicked into the lunch category. I tried to filter using the icon at the top right and wasn’t able to click it! I couldn’t filter anything. When I clicked into the Recipes tab, I clicked into the Lunch category and had the same issue. I wasn’t able to filter! When I click the filter icon in the top right, nothing happens. Otherwise love this app, but is definitely worth fixing the filter feature

Room for improvement. It is so frustrating that it doesn’t stay on the recipe you’re looking at if you navigate away. It resets to their Home Screen so they can advertise to you whatever they want you to see. And it doesn’t save your search history or show you “recently viewed”. So if like me you browse a recipe in bed and forget to save it to a collection, when you unlock your iPad in the morning it will reset to the Home Screen and you’ll have to sift through the recipes all over again to find the one you were looking at before.

It’s Ok. Needs Improvements. I like the shows, and have always been a fan of Food Network. I have found some new things that I had not heard of before, so it is opening my eyes up to new cuisines, which is wonderful. I have been binge watching some of my favorite shows, but most were all just taken down. Very disappointing. No notice. I think I would have handled it better if I knew certain series were going to be removed on a certain date. I am confused as to why I cannot create a queue of programs. I know I can save specific episodes, but I want to be able to go to my list of favorites I have selected, and click on the show to watch it (like a normal streaming service like Netflix or Disney+)

Great App. First it’s worth the investment if you like to cook or are just beginning. Besides recipes it also has lots of videos to help you create the dish. Another nice feature is you can send the recipe so that you don’t miss anything while grocery shopping. I also like the classes they have to help you create a dish with a chef and enjoy the Q&A’s that people submit. You can also read the reviews on a recipe and see what other home cooks think about a recipe or have done to change it to their tastes.

Many recipes to choose from. I Love ❤️ that there have been many recipes to choose from which ones you want to make that it shows the pictures and the instructions on how to make it and also reviews of other people who have made the recipes and sometimes they have tweaked the recipe and made it their own. I have put a lot of recipes in my notes that I really do have a lot I just have to get the motivation to make them. I keep telling myself that one day I will go on a cooking frenzy and Love ❤️ what I made and I definitely Love ❤️ to eat.

Thank you Food Network!!. I love this App! It’s so convenient to be able to find a recipe to try for dinner on any given day! I also love being able to instantly find the recipe as I’m watching a favorite food show. I have tried so many recipes and never been disappointed. Of course I have my favorite chefs which I watch anytime I can. I am recovering from major cancer treatment and Food Network was a great encouragement to me because I was continually motivated to get well and get back in the kitchen. Thank you Food Network!!

Michael Symon is such a pleasure to learn from!. Every time I have seen Michael Symon cook, I have liked his style! Now, however, during the pandemic, I am enjoying him EVEN MORE, as he and his charming wife Liz--and dog, Norman--teach us from their kitchen or yard at home. Something about Michael cooking from in his own space makes him extremely relaxed ansd accessible to his viewers! I have gone WAY OUTSIDE MY COMFORT ZONE--and even made homemade noodles for the chicken paprikash recipe. Thanks Food Network For sponsoring these lessons! I've used many of them in a watch party and my friends like it also♥️Keep it comin' Michael and Liz! Your joy of cooking sure helps to get through these long days!

Love but confused🤔. This was one of the very first apps that I downloaded! I transferred soooooo many recipes to the “SAVE” option. I probably haven’t opened a single cookbook in close to a decade. That is until…Food Network decided to update the app recently. Every single recipe that I saved is GONE! Tons of family, holiday, magazine recipes GONE! If they all exist in some magical FN cloud, PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!! Other than that, I adore this app. I’m giving 4 stars because of my loss, but if anyone can tell me where all the SAVE recipes, I will absolutely change my rating to 5 stars AND make the “helper” a yummy treat!

Young Baker. I am planning on being a chef and opening my own bakery when I grow older. This app helps me check out new recipes to things I didn’t even know existed! For example, the icebox cake. This app will 100% help with my future career! The only thing I would say, is that I wish we could access the desserts more easily. Also, I feel like for the food network app we should be able to pay a reasonable price up front not month or year. Sadly, I cannot access the lessons or videos. Maybe in a future update. Otherwise, thank you so much! This app will help form my future.

I LOVE IT!. I absolutely love this app! I’m a single guy that just recently moved into a new home and have been looking for new ways/ideas to spice things up in the kitchen because I’ve found myself completely burnt out on fast food after long days at work and higher prices at the grocery store. This app makes everything so easy to use and the is always something new to try! I would definitely recommend this to all of my family and friends. This is the first time I’ve ever left a review for anything so that speaks volumes by itself. WELL WORTH A TRY!!!

If it’s not broken don’t fix it!. If I could rate this a half star I would! I do not like the updated app. I used to like watching Food Network on TV. If I wanted a recipe from the show I was watching I could open the app and the current show on air was there, listing the recipes from that show. It was easy to save the recipe I was seeing on TV. Now it’s a waste of my time trying to look for an on air recipe. If you wanted to make a “cook along with me” episodes why not make a new app for that purpose. It’s impossible to find a recipe that is on TV during the time it’s on tv. Give me the old app!! I’d delete this app but I won’t have the recipes I’ve saved. Maybe I can find the recipes I’ve saved on this app on Pinterest.....then I’ll delete the app. Chances are I’ll quit watching Food Network because I can’t save the recipes.

SHAME ON YOU FN. Even after the new update this app is nothing but a commercial for FN. I 💜 FN but I’m Not interested in paying for cooking lessons I don’t need. Still Hard to find the daily recipes we expect from a cooking app or use your own recipe box. The do not even show the recipes from their aired shows. You get a select group of recipes so you cannot even get the full content. Some content is worth paying for like direct connection to the FN stars in a cooking lesson but most is just another shameless money made for FN. usually I’m a huge fan but this seems like going a bit too far to to get more revenue at the expense of loyal fans and customers.

Great recipes but not new payment system. I always went to the Food Network app first when I wanted to try a new recipe. I am somewhat famous for trying new things. I have saved quite a few and still go back to them. That’s a very good feature. However, now that you have changed to a “fee” program, I may still go to the app but the number of choices is very limited unless I pay for them. It’s too easy to just google a topic and get lots of recipes that are FREE. I also listen to quite a few cooking programs—also free.

Like overall, but no longer will update. The app is a good place to find recipes, most of which are “elevated” over what normal people can produce on their own. However, the last two updates will not install. App spins and spins for hours, only updating halfway, before I give up and tell it to stop trying. Not sure what was in those updates, but the app is still working. Assuming I’ll never be able to update it ever again. Like that I can save recipes, wish I could categorize or sort through the saves without having to look at everything. But, overall, most things I’ve made from here have been good, if you are willing to put in the time or have the resources for the ingredients required.

Not happy with updates. I used to love watching the shows and being able to download the recipes without hunting all over for them. On the previous version if I put a show on and didn’t catch the name of a recipe, it was so easy to find. PLEASE go back to the old version. There is nothing I like about this and I used to use it almost every day. I just took a moment to look at the reviews. Before change they were almost all positive. After change I didn’t see any positive reviews. Think about it!!

Awesome variety of recipes, Corrections to Recipes inconsistent. I use Food Network most every day. I consider myself quite good in the kitchen, having prepared countless meals & food items with compliments from spouse, family, friends. I browse other reviewers’ comments before trying a recipe. Food Network, why do you not acknowledge &/or fix recipes with obvious mistakes consistently? Some recipes, several years old, still have errors (found by users) & other recipes fixed. Please acknowledge errors & note them when made. & include nutrition info consistently. Until Food Network does, I will NOT consider spending extra $ for premium services if The basic product is inconsistent.

Love(d) this app. I’ve used this app for at least several years now, happily paying for the version without ads. I haven’t used it for a bit, pull it up today and what do I find - ADS! Apparently this is now only a *free* version serving ads?? And if you want to opt out of selling your info, required fields include all kinds of data I’m certain FN doesn’t already have - why do they need ALL our personal info to opt out, when that can be accomplished based on an account identifier? Please bring back the ad-less version Food Network!!!!

Great, but just a suggestion.... I use this app regularly and have been rewarded with many good meals; numerous recipes here are my go-tos. BUT I wish there was a search feature within a specific chef’s link, e.g., Alton Brown (chef) salted caramels (recipe). This would save time and exasperation. UPDATE: I originally gave this app a 4-star, based on the above criticism. But I read someone else’s review and discovered there is a way to search a specific chef for a specific recipe; a little convoluted, but available. NOW: could the chefs please be alphabetized? Thank you for a great app, recipe errors notwithstanding. ;)

THANK YOU. I’m so grateful for this app, especially while quarantined. Cooking is one of my favorite things to do, and it is extremely comforting during this time of crisis. My husband is a nurse practitioner in an ICU in Rochester, NY. I try to make our home as warm and comforting as possible because I know that his job is so incredibly tense and stressful, especially right now. Cooking can be such a sweet escape, and I’m thankful for all of the wonderful people involved in making this app so accessible to us. I’ve found so many fun recipes to make with the few ingredients we have at home right now, and it’s making this time a lot more enjoyable! -thankful wife.

Too many advertisements!!!. It is very frustrating to be forced to watch a very long advertisement every time when I open a video recipe. A brief ad is ok, and this app used to have shorter ads, but the ads on this app are now way too long. It is always a very long ad and you have to watch the whole thing and you cannot skip it. I was looking for a membership upgrade, paying a little more money or something to avoid this, but I didn’t see any options! It is very frustrating!!

Excellent. I always can find A recipe for what I want. When I look on the internet for a recipe, I always choose a recipe from food network over other sources because the recipes are superior. The extra ingredients add the depth of flavor I demand. If I need to master a new technique I can always watch a video that shows me how. The guesswork is taken out. The recipes are better than other sources and don’t rely on inferior ingredients. I also have pictures to reference and usually numerous recipes to chose from so I can get the exact results I am looking for. The site has visual appeal. The chefs are likable and interesting.

Always a hit!!. Every recipe that I have made on here has been amazing, I really appreciate all the recipes that you’ve given us it really means a lot thanks. I love that you can search for certain items and I’ll pull up all the recipes that have that vitamin that. It also gives me ideas for dinners and things like that when I’m in a hurry and I’ve gotten better instead of burning everything I’ve gotten to where people love my food. Parkinsons can stay away lots slower since I love to cook and give it to other people! Good Luck Carrie

Best Entertainment on TV. With the world the way it is Fox is out, all other fake news is rubbish, the so called Hollywood movies are immoral, but the Food network is there to offer daily light, helpful ways to alter the “grind” of cooking. It makes days worth living! When boredum sets in prepare a new and interesting recipe. Your ratings should be really going through the roof these days! They should be since I hear my friends also talking about watching you and getting a new recipe! Thank you for all you do! You increase our sanity in this corrupt world!

Bad search feature. Trying to search for show and it brings up non relevant episodes instead of newest to oldest. Specifically “Worst Cooks” latest season. Why give me episode 1 and not the rest to view...and I’m a cable subscriber so let me watch on-demand in the app. As I’m I’m writing this review, the talk-to-text feature times out after about five spoken words 😞Again I have to say I’m still disappointed by this app. I understand marketing/monetization and wanting to create a pay-to-play membership platform, but I think this app is getting worse and it does a disservice to everyone who really enjoys cooking. The search feature is horrible, all the content is premium. I find it insulting when a network claims to want to educate its consumers, but values their $ more.

Better than epicurious.. Over almost two decades I have intermittently used epicurious and food network online. I quit epicurious years ago, and recently tried it again only to quit after the first 10 minutes. Their advertisements are unbelievably annoying, intrusive, and persistent. Food network has great shows, and I appreciate that I know which chefs I tend to relate to, and I can often simplify my search by specifying which one I am thinking of for the particular item.

Best Cooking App!. I loved it even when I had to pay a subscription but now that it’s free and the ads are minimal and appropriate. But all the new features, including importing recipes from the web, inputting your own or even from a cookbook to Saves is an amazing feature that keeps me coming back to the app. I tend to use the recipes for inspiration but having them on my iPad in my kitchen is fantastic. And when I need them, the videos are a perfect tool to help understand some of the more advanced techniques. Thanks!

Awesome app!! I’m impressed. I like how well put together this app is for Food Network. There is an option to pay, but you get to see live classes, and use the chat function to chat live with the chef. Whoever thought of this was genius because if that something you’re into, then you’ll gladly pay...I did lol , it isn’t really expensive anyway, but that is besides the point, because it’s not like you can’t watch videos from when the show recorded. So, overall it is not making anybody feel like they have to pay to be able to use the app.

Food Network for Life. Food Network is my go to TV Network when traveling all of the Country on the Rodeo Trail... We spend a lot of time in Motel Rooms over the course of the year... Diners, Drive Ins, & Dives is a life saver on the Weekends... The Food Network App just makes it that much better... The simplicity at any time to look up a quick recipe or watch a show in my downtime... It’s great & one thing every one has in common in life is we have to eat... So no matter what walk of life you come from quality cuisine is always a delicacy.

No casting in app. The lack of ability to cast videos to my tv limits the usefulness of this app. The advertising says stream anytime anywhere and suggest it’s possible to stream on your tv but the app isn’t on my Samsung tv apps, nor is it available on my roku, and doesn’t work with chrome cast. Would be useful if I could watch on my google hub in my kitchen or on my tv in my living room but what what use is watching on my phone only? Edit: Cast button does not appear while playing videos. Casting works fine on a dozen other apps with casting built in.

Won’t work. I subscribed several months ago and thought it was great. Then I started having trouble accessing my account. Now it says I am logged in but will not let me use the paid features even though my account is up to date. I am paying for features I can longer access. When I try to get help it just says I have no account . I cancelled the payments and am very disappointed that it no longer works. Another thing, when it did work, I could only use it on my iPad, not my watch or my Mac. Other apps work across my Apple devices.

Lmaf. Really guys ever open u tube? Chefs, grandmas, butchers, average joes. They teach everything from variations on ramen to high end holiday dishes, to to great grandmas best ethnic recipe passed down for a hundred years. Why would anyone pay for your tutorials. Just search your request and fifty people re willing and able to teach you a recipe. Go ahead lock your content down. Others will prosper from increased traffic and increased offers for ads. Your viewer and usership will drop off. Wo is the big duh Dumb idea guys Giana and Bobby I’ll bet. Never a pulse for anyone below the top 30%. Problem? When I went to school 70% was more then twice 30%. So good luck with ruining your viewership. It was nice watching you

Added Panna Classes. The Food Network just added the entire Collection of Panna classes to their library. These classes are top notch but a little hard to find on this app. If you can locate them, you will find the Panna content and recipes interesting and educational. I would recommend they flag or tag them for ease. For the other elements of the app—as a new user I am finding it a bit difficult to navigate on my smaller iPhone 6. The images are big which makes it more difficult to glance through offerings but may not be a big deal on larger phones.

Clinton Kelly and Michael Symon. I really miss the Chew- and getting to see both Clinton and Michael on this app is great!!!!Would be even better if they did shows together and also with Carla. The Food Network Channel I felt had too many taped shows- these live shows are a wonderful addition. I could watch Clinton and Michael all day, everyday, so please have them on as often as possible! It’s almost like having the Chew back on again. Please remind Michael to laugh- his giggle is great. They are both such a fun chefs to watch cook because of their enthusiasm. Clinton you were awesome!!! Looking forward to your next shows!!

Doesn’t work. Hey Food Network. I have used this app for quite a while and had a long list of recipes saved up. Many I refer to on a regular basis. But now I can’t get my recipes to load. I always get a message saying the server is busy. So I have to go and search and search and search for the recipe I already found, used and like. Please fix! Don't worry, your saved recipes aren't lost. You can retrieve them easily by logging out and exiting the app and restarting your device. When your device has come back to life, simply launch the app and log in as usual. You can find all your saved recipes under the Saves tile located in the top left corner of the Explore tab. Should you need further assistance I have already tired this and it doesn’t work.

Ok hear me out.... Listen, I loved the app before they did all this rebooting of it. Now most the recipes are locked and you have to pay for the app. I am very disappointed in the fact that everything is now money with Food Network instead of making it accessible for people who just want to cook and not have to pay for something that they probably don’t use every single day. A year ago I would’ve put a five star rating now I don’t even know if I can put a one star rating.

Real food with changes. I love a new ideal or changes with the simple real foods. When I do my vegetarian day I always cook bean, I feel they should have side too. Today I’m doing Great Northern bean with with 1 smoke Turkey wing(for comfort flavoring), with Brussels sprouts, and acorn squash and cornbread. Sometimes I do mix greens with bake sweet potatoes.I all keep a green vegetables in my main meal and I love fruit in salad it help the kids to want to see how it tastes. There are so many different kinds of fruits, beans and vegetables and sometimes the simple cooking make food taste so good..

Great Go To App for ANY Recipes. Unique and common recipes that is easy to access with the app. Recipes provides great meal ideas and excitement to try something different or even thought about but couldn’t find how to do it elsewhere. The video helps to provide tips and some secrets from the chef to be more accurate so you can’t mess up your dish you paid and worked hard to make. I love this app because it builds my confidence to make any dish and it’s like having a personal professional chef at your convenience!

So frustrating. It’s very frustrating.....I have been excited since I got this app which is about 6 months ago (paid for a year). I still am excited but when I open it, video is black but audio is fine. I need to pause video for about 10 mins then video comes up 10 mins later into the cooking class it turns black again. I have it on my iPhone and iPad its both the same. I try to watch my favorite shows and it does the same - no video good sound though. PLEASE HELP!!! It’s been a waste of my money. I love Food Network, but not this App. I haven’t watch a complete show or finish a cooking class since I got it.

Pretty great. The food is pretty good and you can see the reviews on each recipe which I really like, however I really think you should be able to filter your feed based on dietary restrictions. For example I'm vegetarian and I keep having to scroll through a ton of meat recipes or check to see if a recipe even has meat ingredients. I also think that there should be a little 🔥 in the corner of each recipe to indicate that it's spicy, because I know that I'm not the only person who can't handle spicy things well! I just think that this would greatly improve this already great app!

New Food Network App. This has become so large and full of TV shows; cooking class ads to upgrade to paid subscription even in the middle of writing this review, recipes of day, recipes on tv now, Craving Comfort Food, 20 Minute Delicious, Live Class Schedule; How To, Craving Comfort Food and on and on and on that getting to just recipes by particular chef is tedious, arduous and painful task! Isn’t there a way to just “Go Recipes,” select by a Food category or chef name and go to chef then simply save it to file? Love the recipes from my favorite chefs-not at all fond of this app. It is not user friendly. App creators need to let lay people who actually USE the app test it. This is NOT USER FRIENDLY. Thank you

Has Two Problems. So, when I want to find dessert recipes, I go to Explore, Recipe tab, then to Filter. Next I choose the Meal Type listed Dessert. Then it says that there are 0 results. Also, when I want to remove a Saved recipe, on the bookmark screen where you can make a new bookmark to save it under or else save it to a pre-existing one, it won't let you unsave it by simply unchecking it from one just like you'd normally be able to save it to another by checking it and tapping Done. But I do like that recipes have videos and ratings, as well as being able to easily make shopping lists. PLEASE fix the dang bugs though.

Review. This site has diverse & INTERESTING recipes. Lists of ingredients & instructions are clear so I don’t sense I’m reading a recipe written in runes! I love that they include recipes from other cultures than my own. I can eat in any language.🤣 Where I live in FL, I have access to small groceries founded by immigrants who carry the “real deal” products. I show them the recipes & the staff helps me find what I need, gives me additional tips for success. Win- Win! Often I bring some of what I made & ask for feedback which they give me. Great start to the beginning of friendship & collaboration. ♥️

LOVE!!!. I use this app for almost all of my favorite recipes. I haven’t found one yet that I have been disappointed with. I have tried multiple chefs and still end up with fantastic results. I will say some of my favorites are Ina Garten, Ree Drummond, and Giada. However, my favorite brownie recipe is from Alton Brown and I found an amazing fettuccini Alfredo recipe from Jamie Oliver. The list goes on. Look up any recipe you are interested in and I can promise you that you will find something you love. This recipe app has changed my life! Do your self a favor and give it a try! You won’t regret it.

Nothing but PROBLEMS with new update!. Have been totally booted out when trying to use app several times. It also has just stopped working on at least just 3 occasions. I just updated last night. Wasn’t having near the problems I had since this new update. Have been a user for quite a long time & this latest update needs to be walked back & get rid of these problems. Boots one out of My Recipe Box as well. The above was after the update before this last one. Updated again last night & the problems are worse than before. This use to be a really great app like 5 star app! It has become so frustrating to use-it won’t let you save recipes-server problem, things won’t load including the recipes you want to save & those already saved. Takes to long to go thru the boards. It was quicker w/a list to choose from.

New version. I am a huge food network fan and have been for years. This app is one of my favorites however; this latest version has made it difficult to navigate and I am having a hard time finding recipes from shows. Just this morning I tried to find two different ones from different shows but no luck. What a bummer! It used to be so easy to go to a show and you would see all the latest recipes. Now it shows all the shows seasons and none of the recipes I was looking for. Sad

Reviews. Enough with the false anonymous reviews. Reviews are anonymous with 1 - 5 star ratings and no comments, sorry it’s like you can’t believe in the recipes anymore. These never appeared when you first started this app, then all of sudden they just started appearing, it’s getting ridiculous. There are even several comments about this when you look up certain recipes, ratings are happening while show is playing. I love the network, just wish you could fix this as do several of your viewers and app users.

Where did my live cooking shows go?. Okay I have loved this app and been a premium member for 2 years now. Sadly I am sorely disappointed that they stopped the live cooking classes. Yes I get they have pre-recorded ones but but honestly what kept me coming back was the daily live classes. There is just something about having that interaction with the chef taking my question and answering live during the class that made this a special experience. Now that live classes are gone there is no way I will continue to pay a premium subscription for a recipe box. Sorry but recipes are available for free everywhere. I came for the chefs and the interaction. They don’t even have to be famous, but it is nice to sprinkle a few in as well. So sad that FNK is now just another app that I don’t bother with anymore

Good app but.... The only problem I’ve seen after using the app for 3 days is Notes. If I write a note on my iPhone it doesn’t show on my iPad. This is enough for me not to purchase this app after my free subscriptions expires. Modern technology is beyond having to do the same work twice. I give it 3 stars because of the variety of classes and recipes. For the classes, READ FIRST so you have all your ingredients ready. The ones I watched assumed some things were already done. But at least you have the ability to pause and rewind.
