1 Star is too high a rating. I am appalled that this company created a non-subscription app which you could purchase, and then decide to do an update, forcing you into an unwanted subscription. If they wanted to do a subscription-based app, they should've created a totally different app and respected the agreement between their previous customers, who had already purchased their app. Which, I might add, no longer works unless you buy the subscription. There are other options out there, such as Pennyweight, that are great apps. Don't waste your money or time here unless you want to be suckered into an agreement that could very well change to benefit them, not you, the buyer.

Waste of time money and effort. Purchased app for the gold calculator. 1 week after purchase around thanksgiving the app crapped out put all metal prices at 0.00$. As well as spelling grain wrong should have known this app was put together by monkeys. Needless to say you're better off getting the free kitco. app and doing the math yourself don't rely on this app for anything.

DHF is much better. This app is broken, all prices are $0.00 and refreshing takes long even on wifi, and is still ZERO. Calculator costs $2.99 to even LOOK at the interface to see how it is, and metals cost $2.99 to see them. Get the kitco and DHF precious metal app which is 100% free and updates the price instantly, however it uses London instead of new York spot. Still, close enough to get a pretty accurate ballpark estimate.

Good for the purpose.. Does everything you need for most precious metals scrap transactions, professionally. Easy to use, great features. No, it's not free, but at least you can see if it works for you before you do buy it. If you don't make the $2 back in your first transaction, you shouldn't be using this ap in the first place.

Issues with app. Having the same problems with having a subscription. Doesn't expire until May 15th tried to restore as well as renew won't allow that either. Hope it gets fixed soon as we rely on this all day.

Wasn’t Broken!. I have been using this app for a long time. It was a nice simple app to do buying. So out of nowhere they rewrote the whole program. Totally unnecessary to mess with what’s not broken. Time to look at other programs.

All spot prices showing 0.00. App worked great at first then all spot prices were $0.00 - assumed this was because it was a free trail that ran out, app actually tells you this. Upgraded and paid for pro version, $0.00, deleted it and redownloaded, still $0.00. Worked great before, frustrating to say the least! Beware.

Need fix. Please fix, not updating properly the last few days.

Better than others. I have tried a couple other gold calculators while there are some that are pretty good. It seems that this guy, is in the business and understands what I need as a gold buyer.

Do not buy.. I previously had this app as well and was a great app. The author decided to charge even though I had already paid for a full working copy. I called the individual twice and he refused to fix the situation. I feel this is unethical. I would not recommend you buy anything from Burkad solutions.

Supreme App. I have used this app for over 3 years, it keeps on getting better.

Not showing yearly subscription. App seems cool... Although I purchased the year subscription and every time I go into the app it says I'm on the trial still. Please help. Ok update 4/7/18. No response from APP support. Still not showing my year sub but was charged. Have had no response from the app creator.

Can't believe. So I also paid for the pro version. 5 days ago, it would not update and now it won't even pull up. Like the server it was on is no longer there. No way to contact anyone and Itunes does not care. Go figure. All of the 3 burka Rd apps are down so either the company went out of business or the servers are down. When the system use to freeze like this the last few years I would delete it and re install. Then it would work for 6 months, the company will not respond to emails no numbers available to call

Subscription bug. My subscription doesn't renew until January but it won't refresh gold prices. Been using the app for years. Not happy. Update: seems to freeze up and not update gold prices quite often. Not dependable at all. Can’t use this app in my business. It’s ridiculous.

Jacking me now. I paid for it then they come back later and want me to pay an annual subscription which was started after I had bought the app. Feel as if they are steeling from me now

Great Product of you can get it to work after you purchase. Used it for the 30 day trial and it worked very well. So I purchased a year subscription. Once the trial period expired it would not work no matter what I tried. The owner of the app answered my emails at first, but have not answered my last three. So I have paid for a year and it has not worked in two months. I have asked for a refund, but so far no answer. I will try contacting Apple to get my money back. My phone has the latest updates and I am an experienced user that does not have any other apps that do not function properly.

Now you want to make it a subscription service?. I've had this app for like two years and its always been a one time fee to buy app. Never did it say we will charge you later buy making you pay monthly. I'm sure their is something that should be prohibited from selling an app then after a couple years change it to be a price for the things that were already included with my purchase. We all need to send Apple a request for refund. Lets start this ball rolling

Conflicted. I loved this app for the first couple weeks that I used it. Then life got busy and I missed the remainder of my free 30 days. Now the app won't even open enough to prompt me to purchase the next level. And I cannot seem to purchase the next level from the app store either? Just a black screen of nothing. Any help?

Great App. The latest update is great, Fixed many problems. I am not sure what the other reviewer is on about. I installed the pro version on my ipad, after having it on my iphone and, you are not charged again. You have to complete the in app purchase however it tells you that you will not be billed for it because you already purchased it.

Annoying. Advertising is ridiculously annoying. I wouldn’t know how the app works. Pops ups EVERYWHERE.

Not worth the money. Don't spend your money here! Not worth it, this app went from good to they just want to buy your gold at a cheap price. Crappy look, not as easy to use, just a commercial ploy to make you watch their adds. Other out there are better.

Garbage. Don't waste your money. Weights and percentages reset to zero every time you shut the phone off or recharge. Some metals won't pull spot prices anymore - just 0 now (they were purchased). And all weights aren't available for each metal for some reason - like grams to quote copper pennies. One star I'd too many - just garbage!

Scrap gold calculator. Stay away from this program until the developer fixes the problems. 1). The program will not update the prices as they change hourly. unless you delete the program and re-down load it you are working with outdated prices. 2). If you pay the additional $1.99 you will not get the upgrade back when you re-download the program. This is a major glitch in the program rendering it useless until it is repaired.

Good App. I have been saving gold coins as a way to get out of the USD, i just enter in the amount of troy oz i have in coins and it calculates its current value.

Great App!. Perfect for my buying, and selling. Goes with me everywhere let's me know pricing on pennyweights and grams so I can carry my pocket scale to garage sales! Just what I was looking for, thanks!

Too Good. Love the running total. Now i don't have to switch back and forth to the calculator.

App needs to be fixed!!!. App worked great for a while. Paid for diamond weight calculator which never worked. Why are there 3 apps in the store from this developer that all do the same thing? Try to make one work correctly first and then move on to something else. Sounds like all 3 have the same problems. Persistent spelling issues hint at quality control problems. SCARP

Doesn't work. The app never once updated the spot prices and kept thinking it was Dec 31, 1969. It wants you to pay a subscription fee of $12-15 annually to keep getting prices. I like that it lists lots of metal types, but that's all it did... List them... Not provide any other information. Great idea--but needs work.

Stopped working. Suddenly prices show $ 0.00 for all metals. App worked fine for a while but now it stopped working all together. I'm glad I didn't purchase the upgrade because this app is now worthless. Same thing happened with METALBUG and I lost money on that - they just pulled the plug on the app one day.

Great. This adds a very professional presence to when I am buying scrap. The customers seem to debate lets.

Problems!!. I had this app on my iPad and after I paid the renewal it wouldn't open, Apple refunded my money and I put it on my iPhone . Now the app says my subscription has expired but everytime I try to restore or "re-purchase " it says I have already paid and my subscription expires in 2017. And now it won't even let you change the currency to USD. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with this app. I use it every day in my appraisal business

Worthless. I purchased this and despite having an active subscription it has not updated gold prices since December 2019 and it is now August, 2020

Fantastic App!. I highly recommend this app! I use it all of the time. Simple to use. The ability to hide the percentage off market price is great. Great for buying metals when you are on the move. Nothing but good things to say!

Can not use ,subscription will not allow use. The application says I must subscribe to use this but my subscription is still active and it won't allow me to restore or use The application need a bug fix for this

Great app. I use it several times per day, has everything I need (gold & silver) love the % feature and instant price update. It IS FREE, if you figure out how to use it properly. If you need base metals, look elsewhere, but this app is perfect what matters to me

Poor customer support do not buy!. It worked fine for 6 months but stopped updating spot prices. I've contacted the company via email but no response so I figured they don't care about their customers. Too bad because it's a pretty good concept. I hope this review makes a difference.

Disappointed. I was great then it stopped working! I had had it for about a month trying the free trial I finally purchased it about a week ago and it stopped working right in the middle of me doing a transaction I'm very disappointed and would not purchase this in the first place had I known.

Nifty little app, keeps your rates secret.. This app is simple, and you get what you pay for. Everyone giving it bad reviews basically ends up making themselves sound like they expect the best precious metal application in the world for a dollar. Not only that, it upsets them that they have to pay it once per year. It calculates all of your possible needs, with percentages above or below spot, based on the users rates. It even works in such a way that it keeps your rates a secret from the person you are buying metals from. It presents the numbers in a flip style screen display. You just set everything you need, the way you need it, and when you want to show the seller what you will be offering for their pieces.

I have paid. I have paid for this App last year with new update it stop functioning and asking me to pay for it again, this looks like racketeering to me! I want my money back I have paid $1.99 last year I didn't know this is subscription app and ask for money every year

Needs fixing. Some good features, but when I quit the app, the next time I run it, I expect at least some of my settings saved. I should have to turn off all the metals I don't care about each and every time along with my default pennyweight. Never saves anything.

Good for quick spot pricing. This app is great for up to the minute spot pricing of metals. And that is it. Lacks charts (historical etc) and everything else. Great for a quick price check though!

Doesn't work. Not sure why - but nothing but zero's..... and a quick reminder that I only have 30 days left to use for free or upgrade now. Only a couple of bucks to upgrade.... but from what??. Just doesn't work. Disappointing!!!

Good app! Currency bug..... This app is pretty good for the metals buyer & seller, except when you change the currency. It seems to default back to USD after you close & reopen a few times. A little bit annoying! So you have to remember to check the currency every time. Hope this gets fixed In the next update...

Dissapointed long time user. Had purchased the applications full version / diamond calculator a few years back for like 3.99$ Then been using the application ever since. My ios device automatically updated to this new version. Now i need to buy a subscription to continue using it. Will find a new ios application.

Scrap buyer. All prices are wrong and no price in copper very disappointed when paid for app and new app and nether working properly please fix ASAP.

It's not working no prices. It's not working no prices are showing up everything at zero

Only App I have. This is the only scrap metal App I have. It does all my calculations for me and is up to date with the markets. I love this app and use it daily. Thank you.

Really Scrap. Every time I use this app, the metals show zero value..not very impressive.

Ok. Worked okay for me but i want to use cad dollars, not usd, also want to save data and then just see every day what it,s worth without retyping

Crash. App gives good information, easy to use and visually appealing. However, it often won't open, seizes up or crashes. Untrustworthy in the field.

Looked good at first glance... After the free trial, it asked if I wanted to upgrade for 1.99 then tried to charge me 3.99. No support in the app.. Was forced to come to AppStore & still no support link here that works..

Why pay, when free is a better app?. I tried this briefly and then switched to Kitco's FREE app that doesn't constantly ask you to upgrade and is far more powerful.

Waste!!. The app keeps tell you that it Will expire in 30 days and there's all kinds of pop ups!!! I payed for the whole year !!! and it's only been two weeks!! sounds more like a scam app getting to pay for pop up!! No pleased at all !!

Don't waste your time. Not free....a 30 day trial only. Every time you press a button it tries to upgrade you. No option to change the currency quoted.

Needs just a little more. Everything works, just want to see a couple free additions! They like to charge for add-ons with this app. Anyway I'd like to be able to enter in an amount of money and either a live spot price or set my spot price and have it calculate the number of ounces it equates to. Also I'd like to tip my iPhone to landscape and have the charts expand and fill my screen as they are difficult to read in the current configuration. I use this app a few times a day to see how silver prices are doing, intuitive and simple love it.

Add ons dont work. The app is what im after but it is not free like it states, you have to pay after a 30 day trial. I paid for the app and tried to get the currency add on (Im Canadian) I need the prices to show in my currency as US rates are useless to me but to my surprise it does not work! I can click on my CAD currency in the settings, but it still displays in USD. So now im stuck with an app that requires another app so I can convert the currency. Get your stuff together guys.

Not satisfied at all. I bought the pro version and I don't have access to my app, I emailed customer service and have not yet received and answer to my problem, paid in full and nothing is working

Zero star. I paid $3,4,or5 near a year ago and upon an update they want payment again and there's a long ad you can't bypass. I'm not sure how or why Apple lets this app is getting away with this scheme.

Gold at $0.00! App dead?. App stopped working, does not pull prices anymore. Developer websites is broken. No tech support contact info that I could find. Paid for this app and it was not cheap, expect it to work.

Stopped working. App stopped updating prices in mid December and will not allow to restore or purchase anything on both iPhone and iPad (buttons do nothing or are not lit).

Broken. Now won’t update the current market prices. It’s been broke for months. Used this for years and worked great.

Waste of money!. I either get a lack screen or a screen that shows. Gold at $0.00 and won't let you calculate. Support cannot be contacted. Save your money!

Why won't the authors fix this app?. This app has worked a handful of times out of many attempts to use it. Same complaint as everyone else.....

Works OK but Typo in the App. The app works OK and I would spend $1.99 for it. The developer should fix the typo in the weight selection. The correct spelling is Grain not Grian.

Needs fixin. Spot price of gold is $0.00? Really? When did that happen? And the owner of the app wants to charge people $2 for full version and the app doesnt even work. Fix the app and I would consider buying 

Never loads. This app is always down. I paid to get all base metals 6 months ago and wish I didn't. What a waste of space on my iPad. If you offer an app at least maintain it for your customers. Come on people get this working or give me back my money!!!

My app stopped working. I have paid for it. Now with the update IT QUIT WORKING!. Purchased already. Why is it not working? APPLE needs to step in here!!!

Not free!. The developer lies about this app. It is not free! The app disables itself after 30 days, and you are forced to buy it if you want to keep using it. Apple should disallow this developer to advertise it as free.

Garbage. Worked to begin with then the next time I wanted to use it I had to try multiple times to open it. Finally did but this time no luck. It won't stay open. Find something else!

Copper $0.00?. Bought the app, bought the other metals, I'm most interested in copper & even after deleting app and reinstalling I still get $0.00 for copper - I'm looking for a better app now & count my money as lost : /

Can't enter your own price.. Used to be able to use spot or user entered price for whichever metal you're calculating. But that function stopped working about a month ago.

What a scam!!!. Paid for the app a year ago and then they recently updated it and turned it into a subscription app! Useless without a subscription! IMO, not the proper way to conduct business! I see this as a bait and switch!

Horrible!!!! DONT DOWNLOAD or should I say DON'T BUY. Horrible It's the biggest rip off. It doesn't work,it's not free,and they said they fixed the bugs in it and it doesn't even show you the prices of where gold, silver, and all other metals are at.

Not happy. I’ve been using this app for a while and my subscription renewed in Nov for a year but the app no longer works properly. Metal prices aren’t updating and the currency keeps reverting to QAR!

Instead of trying to make $ try education first.. App sucked before and after update. I believe when the creator turns 9 he will fix the spelling mistakes on the ICON. Lack luster aesthetics and overall waste of time for developer and downloader.

Frustrating. Will not stay on US dollar. Keeps going to Qar as the currency. Haven’t been able to use this app since November 2019 yet I get charged for the pro version. This was a great app to begin with but right now you can kick rocks.

Spot is set at zero, terrible app!. Would be decent if it worked! Shouldn't have to pay for a piece of junk though. Dendritics has a smartphone friendly page online that is free and they update their program.

Gold is not $0.00. Does not display the prices now was perfect before now it does not work. You also need to pay for extra metals and to use a calculator that I have no idea what it does.

Problems. Doesn't work half the time. Same problems other reviewers have mentioned. Would be bad for even a free app let alone when you are paying for it.

Flat out lie.. Stated as fully functional site for free trial period of 30 days. Only for gold, silver, platinum, palladium. For other metals (i.e. Copper, etc. immediately solicited a purchase for access).

Doesn't work. App doesn't work after subscription is renewed. Still continue to take money out of my account. Emailed support and apple with no help on terminating auto renewal

Terrible app, just refuses to work. I bought this with high expectations, but it turned out to be trash. Advertised features refuse to work especially diamond prices. I would much rather have a Kcast iPad version as that app works a lot better at least on the iPhone.

Need 2 correct a few things. In order to work this app the following must be corrected: - I paid and downloaded the app for my iPad first, and then paid for the metals, WHY do I have to pay again for the same metals in order to install it in my iPhone? - The graphic remains to small; - The graphic is not printable and can not be sent by email. Please advice.

Horrible customer service!. Purchased this app plus an upgrade to use all metals and after an update it was asking me to repurchase the app. Contacted company several weeks ago and still waiting on a response. Give me my money back!!

Stopped working. So, I downloaded it and it showed all zeros. Added the copper option and that one worked showing me the spot price. Meanwhile every thing else shows zeros. (?) this could be a great app! So much potential.

Won’t update prices. The app has not worked properly since mid November. Used this app every day until started malfunctioning. Developer needs to fix app or will not renew! Disappointing!

Buy what. I liked the app gave me all the information I needed. So I upgraded it was very helpful to me. Then I lost my phone now the app wants me to pay to upgrade again. It's not that good

Hahaha, wow. The creator of this app is obviously not very sensical. It is very expensive and extremely buggy. There are plenty of apps that are better than this one and they're FREE! Don't buy unless you want to be scammed out of your money. Tried the app for a day and it is MEDIOCRE at BEST!

Good app but.... Ad's don't go away after you pay for upgrade. They claim they do but they don't. App is good otherwise.

Shame on you!. Michael Burkard has taken a very useful app back in version 3 and upgraded it to a version that is out to sell advertising and subscriptions. Needless to say, I won't be subscribing to your greedy endeavor, good luck!
