CNBC: Stock Market & Business Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Love CNBC, but. I thoroughly enjoy and respect CNBC - the Network and the app - for my business news. I think the app is terrific and would have given it 5 Stars if it weren't for the Pro version. I understand the reasons why it exists, but I refuse to pay for news and interviews. Now if Pro had special context - shows, personalities and the like - I might purchase it, but from the headline feeds - it's nothing more than much of the same at a price. If the plan is to migrate shows and more content that are currently on CNBC to pro, I will go elsewhere. We leaned in physics that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Improved But Still Needs Work. May have found a bug in latest 5.0.4 update. Swiping along the top of the screen where the indices (US, EU, Asia, etc) and other data (Oil and Metal prices) are displayed is acting strange. If I swipe left or right very (and I mean very) slowly, it will cycle through each one in order (US to EU to Oil to Gold to Bonds to FX to Pre-Market to Asia) But if I swipe at normal speed, mainly to the right, it will always skip over displaying one of the data screens. For example, if I’m looking at Asia market data and swipe to the right at normal speed, instead of going to prior screen data which should be Pre-Market data, it will jump to FX data. And if I swipe right again, it will skip Bonds data and go to Gold data. If I swipe right again, it goes from Gold to EU data, skipping over the Oil data. I have to swipe left to get to the correct data that should have been displayed. And I wish the “Condensed News” view option applied to all the individual news sections and not just to the main page/screen. For example, if I’m in the “Top News” or “Trending Now” section, the pictures are still needlessly too big vs the text displayed underneath requiring unnecessary scrolling. It would be great if the pictures could be made smaller using “Condensed News” option.

Poor video streaming experience. I’ve used the CNBC iPad app for about a year in the mornings to stay updated on the markets and watch the news while I get ready or go through morning routines. There is rarely a morning where I don’t spend ~5+ minutes resetting the app or re-launching the video. 1) Anytime there is a commercial, the application loses the broadcast and video stops, resulting in permanent loss of playback until the app is exited and re-launched. 2) Picture in picture is even worse, loses playback once about every 15 or 20 minutes. 3) The app cannot keep track of my TV provider credentials. It will show me logged in, then only play 10min of preview content, then ask me to login again. After a (pull down) refresh on the watch tab, the credentials are back magically but it takes -minutes- to resume playback. -When it works- the app is overall great, but CNBC developers have a long way to go for a consistent experience with video. Happy to run betas or participate in bug reporting program as I have some experience with iOS apps several years back.

Fix Sorting Feature (Has been addressed, see below). Been weeks and the sorting feature for stock gain percentage in the app is still not fixed. Annoying to not be able to quickly identify stock runners. CNBC already acknowledged the issue but hasn’t released the fix for it. Why? Watchlists also do not organize properly. Constantly have to move them around manually and they still don’t save position properly. This app used to be great, now it seems they don’t care. Update: The latest update that got pushed out seems to have corrected the sorting issues with the app. Some ideas though that could make this app a 5 star would be if the following: - Allow stock pricing to show sub penny levels 0.00xxx - Link current news articles with the stock tickers so you can get live news directly through the app. Currently I have to switch between multiple apps to get up to date information on stocks. Overall CNBC app is a great tool and the IT support team is diligent in addressing the issues to make it better.

No Background Audio Feature for iOS. The most annoying aspect of the CNBC iOS app Is that it does not provide for background audio, live streaming or otherwise, when navigating away from the CNBC app. I find this extremely frustrating bc I would like to listen to CNBC while doing other tasks. By not addressing user requests for this feature, it appears that CNBC doesn’t really care about it’s user experience. CNBC needs to get some better software app developers and management. The app is quirky, clumsy and buggy in my opinion bc navigation does not work properly, volume levels are inconsistent and do not provide a loud enough range, and videos frequently fail to load and do not play consecutively in full screen mode. On a positive note, I love the CNBC content and breaking news alerts. While many users criticize CNBC as having a liberal bias and for its up to the minute reports on Trump and geopolitical news, I disagree. Such news is indeed relevant and correlated to almost instantaneous market changes.

Sorting is a mess and poor news. The app is laid out well and easy to use. Sorting of the %change on my watch list is faulty. At the moment, it doesn’t work at all. Previously you would have to click on the sort header for the watch list and then scroll down to get it to register. I thought this would be fixed immediately but it’s been months and now doesn’t sort at all. The news feed is seriously lacking. Stocks can go up or down by 25% and the app has no news articles as to what’s happening. I have to flip over to yahoo finance and they’ll always have multiple articles as to what’s going on. But, that app isn’t as user friendly IMO. so+ 1 for CNBC there.

Good content, problematic execution. The content is good. I subscribe to Pro and the Investment Club. However, frequently I can’t access the Investment Club and there are several other issues as well: -you have to dig through layers of menus to find out if you’re logged in. It logs you out periodically and it looks like the app is broken. They could tel you up front to sign in but they make you guess -they removed the ability to pop out the video window. That means if you want to check your stocks while watching any video you have to use a separate device. -if you have the app installed, you can’t use the web to view video content. It forces you to view it in the app. They used to allow the pop out display on the web but that’s gone too. Tech support is very nice but they don’t seem to understand how difficult is is to do certain things. After this complaint I will stop wasting time asking them to change anything. I’ve written several reviews here and none of them ever appeared. Let’s hope this one does.

Stopped working after CNBC required account setup. Have enjoyed it in the past. I recently received a message that I had to set up an account in order to save my watchlist. I set up an account and now it won’t let me login, it won’t let me set up an account and it won’t let me change my password. So I have no access to my watchlist. Just prior to this the app had stopped working correctly in that when you chose a particular stock it would give you the details for a different company. I know they want you to pay for a pro account so maybe they are trying to make it difficult for everyone else?? They already have much of their content only available to paying customers. Sad to lose this app.

Watchlist is the best. As a simple, straightforward tracking tool, the CNBC app gets the job done. I use it to track my stocks throughout the day, and in the pre-markets and after hours. I find it better than the Fidelity app for that. If it went away tomorrow, I would be lost at sea. Other than that, their anchors, TV coverage and online content have never done a thing to help me in the market. If you follow their overblown analysis, driven by a need to keep viewers on the edge of their seat (that’s me!) and get clicks, you will lose money (that’s me, too!). And while my kid loves Cramer (House of Pain :-), he proves a broken clock can be wrong more than twice a day. *click*

Superb and Comprehensive Reporting. By far, the most thorough and comprehensive reporting and expert analysis for the arm-chair investor. Those of us who prefer to listen, study and take care of our own investing instead of allowing algorithms to “push a button” to do our investing for us by behemoth investment firms. The “DIY investor” relies more and more on accurate and comprehensive information to weigh investment decisions. CNBC offers insightful communication of events and challenges impacting the Markets including leading indicators, geopolitical landscape, labor markets and other factors. Very much like each individual analysis of equities breaks down p/e, gross, net profits (or losses), quarterly earnings reports, and current news attached, if applicable. Worth the subscription!

Excellent News Content but poor Navigation. I don't know how I didn't stumble across this app in the past when it has the best news source and I really like reading my daily Business and Politics news from CNBC. The editors did a fine job. However a lot needs to be done for navigation and accessibility on the app. For example moving from one news story to another I cannot swipe and I have to go to the main home page and then pick my next story. As for accessibility - why are the text font so small? No matter how big I make the font on my phone the font of news stories is too small. Can you maybe introduce a small feature where users can tap in to increase/decrease the font perhaps? This would greatly help those who are vision impaired. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

EDIT: "A move backwards" to improved. UPDATE 2017: The app has been improved since my 2014 review. I'm using it more and finding it is better in all ways. Still room for improvement, but deserving of being on my iPhone for daily use. Thx for updating. --- PREVIOUS comment --- Disappointed with the 2014 updates and "in your face" ads; I no longer check the app on my phone or tablet as often. It is nice to have video available, but would rate have it secondary in a menu area a and prefer the "quiet" and less data intensive content when accessing wireless. CNBC should revisit what there viewers use and prefer.

All of a sudden , it is very slow. For about 2 months , opening my CNBC app has been very slow . It is also very slow when trying to read stories or switching from one category to another at the home page . Have not had this problem with other apps like Charles Schwab and TD Waterhouse . Another point , sometimes I can not find MelissaLee’s program’s Last Trade of the Day ! In addition , John Harwood is the most unprofessional reporter that I have ever seen in over 50 years of watching TV News. He is unfair , totally biased and has blamed President Trump for almost everything that has happened to the USA since 2015 ! I watched the Presidential Election on CNBC from the beginning . To see his Face was priceless . 24 hours earlier he had emphatically stated that there was no way Trump could win ! I could go on and on about how unprofessional he is and how biased he is but there is no need . I am sure Walter Cronkite , or Huntley and Brinkley would have considered him a “ Minor League “ reporter ! I try to go to the bathroom whenever he is on CNBC . Why does Joe let him on the Show from 6:00-9:00 , Harwood never says anything positive ?

Bob in Paso Robles. I have been a avid fan of virtually all of the market related programs on CNBC since before Cisco was $80+/shr. However, there are some comments that bother me: when regular hosts suggest that a stock movement occurred due to individual investors. Since >75% of daily share volume is often said to be due to “algorithmic” trading activity, individual investors cannot move a stock like AMZN or TSLA. The importance of Computerized trading is further supported when the price of a stock bounces off of a low several times within a quarter. Individual investors could not possibly be responsible for the “bounces” that are discussed on Fast Money. So, how about sharing some of the equations and statistical approaches? I just laugh when chartists suggest that a bounce was due to individual investor activity.

Shilling for dollars. This used to be my go to app for business and stock news. Over the past two years, most of the really relevant and useful stories now rewire a subscription. I don’t think the PRO is worth $30/mo. I tried it for two months, enjoyed it but $360/year is not in my fixed income senior budget. And the same goes for Jim Cramer’s CLUB offering. I know he donates to charity, but some of us prefer to choose our own charities and since he always says he wants to help the “average investor” why do we need to pay $300/year for his articles? I know nearly everything is going to subscription model, but it’s getting just too pricey. I may delete the app as it is only good for a quick look at my stock watch list. And I can get that elsewhere. Time to shop around.

New App is way too buggy. I’ve never ever left an app review but I’m compelled to drop one for the very first time. Although the PIP feature is awesome, I can’t however go a minute without a commercial suddenly dropping in the midst of a live broadcast. Furthermore I have to basically exit the app or click on Pro to come back the regular broadcast. Even after multiple deletions and downloads, this is becoming a vicious circle that’s not getting any better and is infuriating. I’ve seen a couple of prior reviews having mentioned the same issue and I can’t even imagine the number of folks who haven’t taken a moment to drop a report/complaint. This app is definitely worth more than my one start rating - when working properly - but I can’t believe it ever got green lighted for use as buggy as it is. I mean what was that rush!? I have plenty of memory left so that isn’t the problem notwithstanding the fact that the prior version was working without a glitch. Please fix ASAP!

Guess parent rules household. I’ve worked in the financial services industry for 15years. I’m Series 7, 63, 65, Insurance licensed, CRPC and AIF. During my career I’ve watched CNBC on cable and app to keep up to date on market information, world economics, as well as monetary and fiscal policy in order to inform clients of the current environment. Im done with CNBC!! Ive deleted the what used to be useful app for market and economic information. They’ve clearly caved to the parent NBC evidenced by the constant “Alerts” on Trump Russia news or any other “negative” Trump related news they choose to promote. I thought we subscribed to this app and channel for financial news! Where’s the positive economic news associated with this administrations policies?? Now let’s be clear. If you occasionally admonished the political party you secretly support, I’d at least feel you were trying to keep whatever journalistic integrity you may have left. Currently seeking a financial app with a lot less political bias.

Newest version broke what didn’t need fixing. This latest app version is a case of changing for the sake of change. The older version was near perfect. This one is very hard to navigate and use. - This app version makes content so large it doesn’t fit the phone’s screen. - It lumps watchlist percentage and dollar changes together (killing the separate columns)... which is visually confusing. - It attempts to group content into categories, which are now all over the map, and redundant. - The market tab was removed from the bottom, which used to be a cool feature, enabling the ability to pull it up or hide it on call. The new app fixes it to the top of the screen in huge font, taking up a third of the screen, with no way to hide it. And it sorts the data differently depending on time of day. Trying to make it intuitive backfires here because you can’t depend on where to find it. - The watchlist has a bug that resorts the extended hour pricing randomly. - The old app was great because it simply did what it was supposed to, which is critical when trading is time sensitive. This one wastes valuable seconds as you hunt did info that used to be at your fingertips.

Tad Better Than Yahoo Finance. This CNBC app is just a tad better than Yahoo Finance. It basically mimics the same news as Yahoo Finance. They let you read the company profile and P/E ratio, etc. That Yahoo Finance does not offer anymore. But as far as stock analysts ratings on stocks anymore. No one does that now days. Talk about income inequality. A self directed stock picker like myself. It makes it very difficult to pick stocks with little to no information to go on. Even E*TRADE has very limited (microscopic) research. By the way stock analysts opinion isn’t what it is cracked up to be. I picked a 5 Star stock based on all research that you could get a couple of years ago. I bought Gilead Sciences at $113 and it almost started immediately tanking. They had a low P/E ratio, lots of cash. Brought in a hot shot Dr. who was extremely intelligent in cancer research. World renowned. The stock continued to tank. I cut my losses and got out at $68.

App crashes instantly on load. Edited review - The app now (Mar 1/2, 2023) now immediately crashes on load, and because of this, you cannot use the app to contact the developers (settings->contact us). iPhone 14pro is up to date with all iOS patches. Old review below. Not as much information is presented on a screen as the older version. I don't like the new presentation of watch lists. On the old version of the watch list, I could get 10 or more stocks on one screen without scrolling, the new version only 6. I don't like the chart icons being on the watch list, it's not very useful being that small, and it forces each row to be taller (limiting # of rows on a screen) than it needs to be. Also, when selecting a stock and rotating the phone to be landscape and viewing the full chart takes way way too long, it takes so long it times out a lot. And changing the timeline from day, to 1 day, to week, etc, also takes way too long. It is not very useful. There should be a setting to prefer the old chart version because it was infinitely faster. Overall this is not a better version, and I will continue to use the old version.

Need more balance. Many of your CNBC staff, reports, and contributors to the shows seem to be left wingers. Where’s the balance! I thought this was a financial show not a dump on Trump show. I loved seeing your reporters who were all against Trump have to admit he had won. Then support all the crap the Dems did to Trump over the last few yrs. Maybe get some contributors who have other opinions that your New Yorker staff. I feel the coverage on the virus has been over blown do to the New Yorkers on your staff who think the world is coming to an end. Get some balance CNBC!! Otherwise rename your show the CNN financial show of the East coast. Sincerely Steve Meyer Cal

Paying for info on my stocks !!!. I don’t like and won’t pay for any info on stocks !!!! The way you use to have it was a pleasure going on CNBC , when you could get all your stock info for free . Like everything else , now CNBC is making $$$ or letting others make $$$ on us investors by wanting us to log in and pay for stock info . All that has done is LOWER CNBC ‘s standards and ratting by not giving us the info we want on our stocks !!!! I’ll start getting my info from other sites !!! And stop using CNBC !! If you don’t stop not letting us get our stock info free of fees !!!!!!

Charts are useless. Maybe it was the last update, but the charts are hard to use. You either need a basic charts for summary and make it simple (like your old charts) or you need to have many great features like other apps. You cannot go middle ground cause you don’t nearly have enough features to start implementing a couple things in charts. I use cnbc for many things. Not charts. But the basic one was good to see various price movements. But i can’t even do that now. App is more buggy and slow I noticed that loading pages takes much longer than before. This is a regular occurrence which makes me think the quality is going down hill. Furthermore, when selecting a stick to look into, the app crashes. Happens roughly 10% of the time.

Used to be a good app. Well, a while back they changed the charts function in the CNBC app. I would say that if they were seeking to get the award for “Worst Stock Chart Function on the Internet”, they may very well take first place in that category. Congratulations, CNBC for doing huge damage to your app by incorporating just about the worst charts out there! Reduced from 5 stars to 1 star for that crucial reason alone. Don't bother to give your useless canned reply to this review CNBC, because it is laughable. Update (Jan 26, 2022): Sadly, CNBC has done absolutely nothing to replace their current stock charts with charts that actually work. Why? Who knows? As you can see, they only give a useless canned response to any of the reviews complaining about their useless charts, while they simultaneously do absolutely nothing to fix this glaring problem. It is baffling to say the least.

Review. I enjoy the app and use it daily. I enjoy the live feed and all the stock information, news and financial shows. When I’m home, I have CNBC on (my TV) all day and I record my favorite shows when I’m unable to view them. I love the individual clips highlighting the subject matter. When out of town, I watch my favorite missed shows on my iPad. I love having the up-to-the-minute CNBC financial news at all times. Please add Fast Money Halftime Report on your recorded shows! It’s one of my favorite shows. I record at home but I’m a retired snow bird and miss watching this shows when I travel.

Type size change. Watchlist no longer in a nice easy to read format since they changed how text size is determined. Tried change in settings where they said to fix it but that then made a big mess out of my other apps & now trying to get settings back to my original ones. Very unhappy here. Guess I need to find a new stock tracking app. Update-they now have a way to opt out of this feature...did that and all is now good again with this app. One other feature that would be nice....have market close & extended show in columns next to each other instead of 2 separate screens.

So so UI/UX & incorrect listing. Once there’s a new UI. It looks like a UI change for the sake of change. Hardly any useful functional improvement. Once again, the approach appears to be form over function. That’s ok for a game or entertainment app, but not for a serious business/financial app. The forex quotes section is poor. They don’t include quotes for all major currency cross pairs yet include a whole bunch on non majors. Over a year ago, I noticed a listing for the pair JPY/EUR. Every forex broker I’ve ever seen lists this pair as EUR/JPY. So what’s the point of listing it incorrectly? I got a call from a CNBC customer service rep who tried to tell me that it didn’t matter because the non standard listing represented the same pair. It counts as one of the most ignorant responses I’ve heard from any customer service. Sad that CNBC chooses to employ such ignorant people who represent CNBC. The bias in the news stories has become very tiresome. I routinely see stories critical of President Trump, the GOP and practically anything conservative. Opinions are thinly disguised as “stories”. True journalistic integrity requires stating ALL aspects of a given situation as opposed to avoiding the ones that aren’t favorable to the writer’s political bias.

Decent and Reliable. This is a pretty good app. I use it a lot for tracking business news and reports as well as real time stock quotes and pre and post market prices. It gives live stock price movements too. They also usually have fairly good economic news coverage as far as reporting on actual economic report releases as they occur. This is very helpful if you are looking for updates as they happen as may regard a currency trade. When I was younger my father would take me to the local brokerage house to watch the stock quotes scroll by on a thin long device mounted on the wall and talk to the broker to see and find out about real time quotes. They were not remotely available on a small device that I keep in my pocket throughout the day. What a difference.

Mostly a fairly good app. I’ve been using the CNBC app for many years now and it’s my go to for checking out the current price action on equities, bonds, currencies, etc. Has a streamlined look, easy to read and easy to use. Charts are decent, if a bit limited, but one can’t complain because the app is free. The app has throttled down their offerings over the years. There used to be a much more robust archive of videos and news articles. Recently they’ve restricted it even further, so that many articles are hidden behind a paywall. I’m ok with this, but they should indicated it as a ‘subscriber only’ article so that those of us who chose not to subscribe don’t waste time clicking dead-end links. Some of the articles are clearly marked with the ‘PRO’ label, but many are not.

So I cut the cord.... So I cut the cord.... and what a horrible experience it has been. I wasn’t watching anything but CNBC mostly anyway so why not, right? Well, app doesn’t recognize I have a pro subscription even though it says I’m logged in when looking at settings. Video streaming is touch and go. Audio goes in and out. App constantly needs to be restarted because of video freezing or audio not playing. Was sending horrible popping noises through my brand new iPad Pro bought last week. Audio was also messing with my Bluetooth speakers, sending the same popping noise through speakers that weren’t even showing connected to my iPad. $300 a year for a broken app? I’m trying to be calm but you guys are messing with my time and money. It’s infuriating. Is it too much to ask for a stable experience?

Awful! Technical difficulties Galore!!. Any time I try to watch live TV or play shows that were already on earlier it is a huge burden. If I can get it to work at all, it takes many times of turning my phone off and on. Logging out then back on. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it a few times. Nothing happens. Support only says they’ll look into it. It’s been a few years like this. Different phones and TV’s. It’s def. the app. Always unknown player, or it cannot load. I can get NFLX and AMZN streaming for less then the cost as well. Pathetic. I gave it 2 stars because I really like the content. I love Cramer and Fast Money as well as Options action, which u can’t even watch on the app too. I wish I could watch these shows on demand whenever I want or live. That would be nice. I would pay for the app every month. But as I get it once in a while, hoping it that it would be better, I’m always let down.

Recent changes for the worse. Update 17 feb 2023. The radio feed has begun to work great! So adding a star to the rating. $30 per month is still a very very high price point. Looks like the app is going through an overhaul and a number of things are broken. Often the video clips do not work. Only a few stories openly available. Everything seems to be going the private way I.e., subscribe the steeply priced subscription. The radio goes silent for the time. That, combined with existing/legacy bugs, you just never know if it will play after the “silence” period. These are simple problems to solve but the teams doesn’t seem to see this as priority.

It’s not Specific to CNBC. I find that a constant stream of news and speculation leads to wild days and markets. Because of too much internet and too much information which may be exacerbated it causes violent swings. Fifteen years ago most investors depended on News before markets, possibly futures. It’s apparent now that these “speculative analysts” have no idea why the Semi-Conductor sector has been like a literal roller coaster since January. If Bernie Sanders says something that threatens a speculation at 3:50 PM there’s a sudden sell off. It’s this constant stream and lots of independent investors across the spectrum of incomes that are decent but don’t meet the $300,000 minimum for a brokerage house, and this stream of information some rarely relevant in terms of a stocks health long term, that reeks havoc and turmoil. Combined with a disproportionately small number of people with Vasts sum of money that invest “Vegas Style” with for whatever the reason is legal Options Trading. These individuals are upset with Social Media when it comes to a trend in pouring money into Game Stop…not only inflating the stock of GameStop but all those call ins… As said it’s more the times and culture than CNBC…but the analysis is becoming more speculation and they’re becoming comparable to Tennis commentators on the emotional state of players based on the momentum of the match… Then you throw Pro in which 80% is on live TV…

Review. Tell Chris Matthews to stop interrupting guest. Katy needs to stop yelling it hurts a persons ears and causes anxiety. Day crew not near as professional as the eve/ night crews As of late other then the night broadcasters and Nicole Wallace your team is a sell out. Your reporting team does not back their word changing their position to get ratings, doubtful this is working!! I am beginning to see MSNBC as a worst provider of news them FOX, we know this is a Trump broadcast however with the exception of RMS and Deadline you are trash reporting. For goodness sake get rid of Todd he is horrible, does not ask pertinent questions. Never disputes the obvious lies. You had my undying support, no longer America has enough sell out from Trump and Company we do not need your lies. Shame on you for allowing this crap/propaganda you are contributing to the distraction of America.

Decent App, but some Reporting Bias. I’ve been using this app for over a year and am happy with it over all - with a few caveats. Number one is that I agree with other reviewers that CNBC writers stray a little too frequently from reporting insightful, fact based business news, and veer off into left leaning, anti-Republican slant. I don't mind it too too much since I can read polluted news and separate key information from the blather. But still... Actually, I find the broadcast channel to be more balanced and helpful than the articles in this app. The other thing I would like to see is a tweak to the portfolio tracker. Right now it only tracks prices of stocks in your portfolio. It would be MUCH more useful if it also allowed user to input #shares owned, and purchase price. Then it would be a true portfolio tracker.

Too repetitious. While there’s always an adjustment period as I learn my way around a new version of a favorite app, I’m not sure I’m going to be able to get past the way this one displays the same articles multiple times on the first page. I liked being able to scroll through a long list of articles on a variety of topics in Top News to get an overview of the day’s happenings. Now I need to link to specific pages to see more than 4-6 articles from a broad area of interest. And of those few, a couple are always repeats from a previous section. My other gripes: the horizontal scrolling at the top of the page for market listings is slower; there’s no way to close the window after you look at details for a stock listing from a watchlist. All that said, I’m hoping CNBC is listening and will improve the usability of this now very attractive app. Really, usability should come first.

Not as good as they used to be !. The obvious lean to the left of this broadcast has become more and more obvious, and I Would rather not know at all who somebody’s favorite president or politician is because then I don’t have to listen to criticisms that I don’t agree with or ones that I do agree with. CNBC was my most watched network and it has become my least watched network for that very reason. Guest on the programs are frequently rudely interrupted for not late breaking news but just information about something somebody thought was important but in the scheme of things not very important at all. CNBC is Not as bad as CNN but it is certainly headed that direction and much worse about it is it’s just a business network and is trying to be everybody’s news . You try too to do too Much and Succeed too little !

Your spin. It’s very easy to identify that your site leans towards the left. From the headlines on each article to the content within the article there is a certain spin being presented to the reader. It’s become so common today with our news organizations that us conservatives just “take-it” for what it is. As this current administration continues their control of the government, it’ll be very interesting to see how you choose to report the news when gas prices and our over cost of living continues to spike up. Us average “Joe’s” are already seeing the spike in such cost on our weekly budgets. Will your financial news organization, have the guts to report why this spike is happening to the average consumer? I’m guessing not. Have a good day!

Live tv pro account. I don’t like that I am paying a very high sum for having CNBC pro and I can’t watch CNBC live tv after the market closes. Because I don’t have a cable tv network provider and I’m paying for CNBC pro mostly to watch CNBC live but I can’t see it after the market closes and I think that is really unfair and should be fixed. And another thing that is really upsetting is that when you are on the Apple TV app and watch an individual video the volume is very low and you have to turn it up to almost a hundred percent to hear it properly. And also about the commercial breaks, you should really put commercial breaks because I don’t like that my tv goes all quiet when the commercial break hits. Please change this things I really love your app!

Recommend a bottom pop up menu. iOS mobile app When using search from Watchlist or Markets and then search inside of a search you can nest deeply into search after search. Then there is no easy way to get back to the Home Screen or bottom menu selections. Recommended: the bottom menu that displays on every screen, or at least is accessible as a pop up, regardless of how deep into searches you are so you have the ability to simply select News Markets Watchlist to take your back home. The website version of this app does exactly that. I find myself using the website version rather than the app as it has better workflow in some ways.

Irritating alerts, irrelevant redundant stories. Even with “Major Breaking News” as the only alert it includes topics that are NOT. On a Saturday I have now received 2 alerts about Epstein committing suicide in jail. To me, this is not “Major Breaking News” and certainly not worth 2 alerts on a weekend. They do the same thing to announce tweets by various people as well as other items that are not major. They really need another classification for these that can be disabled. It would be nice to be able to configure an alert if an index moved a certain %. Is there a way to receive an alert on a stock in a watch list? As other reviews have pointed out, the same story will also be duplicated throughout various sections. They really need to filter out the dupes. It would also be great to have the option to disable the images both in the story preview list and the article itself (sorry Getty, but the stock photos of traders either shouting or pouting are just pointless).

Problems on the new app design. Need a fix to use the app ipad pro because after the download it is missing the edit button for deleting a stock from a watchlist. It is there on my Iphone 8, but the Ipad pro it is not on the upper left corner as usual. Now x to close certain pages is missing on the Ipad, tho you can tap the top left corner and it seems to work most times. The same goes for videos if you stop before the end, no x appears to close them. Positive on the new font, it makes reading easier and clearer to the eyes. Lastly news for individual stock normally contain news that has little or nothing to do with the stock, just used to fill the news area. In addition on watch list there is no edit for individual stocks to be deleted off the list...bad design. Only have a link to add to the watch list, no delete but you can hit add cancel and get to the delete list, very very odd. Come on fix the x off buttons on ALL pages, add the delete buttons and get it right! 2/4 now if you look at one stock’s news, you get news from unrelated stocks, or any other news that is posted instead of the company that you choose, I don’t know why.

Used to be Amazing. Now Only Lag and Glitches. I have been a loyal user of this app for years. Love watching Mad Money after work or listening on the way home in the car. However recently, the streaming does nothing but crash. Every 30 seconds to 1 min the video stops completely and returns to the main screen. Considering I pay hundreds for the Pro version this is beyond aggravating. I even tried to log into my cable provider to watch the basic stream and the app freezes and goes blank the instant I click Verizon. This all happens even when hooked up to the fastest WiFi that is available to the public. Seriously considering deleting this for good and canceling my annual pro subscription. Very disappointed as this used to be my most frequented app.

Upgrade was a real downgrade. App used to be much better. Latest version lost the ability to have watch list or news scroll next to live broadcast. So now it’s either full screen or partial screen with other broadcast options on the side. Why could it possibly be superior to see fixed options of US, Pro US, Pro EU, Pro Asia over real time quotes of my watch list or the news?!?!? Anyone who is a pro subscriber knows their options. The rest of us, basic cable subs, have a static option of US live. So basically the screen went from lots of info to just broadcast. Major downgrade. The one actual upgrade was making audio only available, so the app can be minimized. I’m sure others are happy, but since I have Sirius that’s of no value to me. Wish I could go back to the old version. Was so much better!!!!

Charts Issues. Issue #1: With the latest chart update it does not show the last 5 days in portrait (vertical) mode, instead it shows the last 32 hours of price data in portrait mode. This is not an issue when you expand the chart to view in landscape mode. The 32 hours of price data includes premarket, normal, and after hours data. Issue #2: The latest update also removed the feature that allowed users to tap and lock onto the price at a specific time. This feature was replaced with crosshairs that do not lock to the price. It would be nice if the app gave users the choice to toggle between the crosshairs mode and the old mode (tap and lock). In the meantime, I plan to use the Apple stock app because it still has the “tap and lock” feature. The Apple stock app also has a very cool feature that allows you to tap at a specific time with your left thumb, tap a second time with your right thumb, and then it shows the percentage increase.

Love watching tv, but has bugs. I love to use this app to watch live tv while I’m at work or doing chores around the house. But there are bugs. Even though my direct tv password is stored in my iPhone XS and I have used the app daily, it starts in preview mode and a stops my viewing after 15 minutes. Usually when I click sign in, it works again. Other changes that would be nice: i want to be able to keep listening to the app while I got look something up on my phone, text someone, etc. I often do chores outside and set the phone down while listening to the tv on the app; when it goes to commercial, frequently it just stops the video and my phone locks. I have to clean up enough to touch my phone and unlock the screen and restart it playing.

Pressure. When interviewing people involved with Bitcoin, the CNBC interviewer acts surly towards the people involved with Bitcoin. How Bitcoin is going to work, I do not know, but the CNBC staff have to do a series explaining BlockChain and how CNBC interviewers(who appear somewhat arrogant at times) arrived at their position. I am trying to read everything I can about Blockchain and Bitcoin, and It looks to me that a lot of individuals are very arrogant in their views about these new investments, yet, it is extremely difficult understand who the winners and losers are. If someone would explain, 1. how the Blockchain network is going to work, and 2. how efficient and safe can Blockchain be in the future. My credit card has a new sensor in it, and all I have to do is tap a card reader and the store will accept the payment. Is this a result of Bitcoin? How has Bitcoin changed the market, and who will benefit from Bitcoin?

The worst app on my iPad for live tv and watching previously aired episodes. The newest update takes this app to a new low. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse. I usually either watch live tv or episodes of a show that I may have missed. 1. They removed the minimize screen, so if I have to do another task, I will have to start over. 2. If you leave an episode and return, it doesn’t remember where you left off. 3. When trying to find where you left off using the scroll bar, it switches episodes and you have to start over. 4. Every time you move the scroll bar, you get more ads. If fact I had to wait through 14 ads just to get to where I had left off. 5. CC comes on automatically. You can turn it off manually, but it keeps coming back spontaneously over and over again and is relentless. 6. App repeatedly crashes and has to be restarted. It’s a shame that there are so many worthwhile programs on CNBC, but the app developer can’t get it right. Can’t understand where they got 4.7! I looked at the most recent reviews and they are all negative.

Great App for Market News and Education. Love this app for all the good alerts, powerful insights, and customizations. The only issues I have with this app, is that I can’t get for CNBC shows on demand, I still need a TV subscription. For the cost of this subscription, I should be getting all the CNBC network shows on demand. The last issue I have is a technical one; this app has a lot of trouble managing its audio stream as you flip between different apps. The audio frequently drops out, and the only way to fix it is restarting the app or raising your volume to 100%. This bug has been persistent for quite some time now. It doesn’t seem to be an issue if you’re streaming through Bluetooth.

Charts in new version are lame. The charting changed a few weeks back and it was a significant downgrade. I have used this app extensively for years. The charts were not amazing but very functional on a daily basis. The new charts, at least on my iPad, do not show the the most recent day. For awhile the small chart on the data page for a stock would show the current day but when I go to the full sized chart it is two days back??? Now even the small chart is two days back. Went to App Store and saw an update was available. Did the update. Same thing. Same style chart is used on yahoo and theirs work so come on. Also the standard deviation should use all of the data from the designated period and put a line on the chart, like it did before. A standard deviation is then a straight line and you can see where deviations in the data occur. The standard deviation now shows as a line below the chart and is apparently calculated over some unknown periods as it is not a straight line. Also can no longer select the moving averages I want I.e. 10 day 20 day etc. stuck with your choices and an envelope of unspecified numbers of days. Many other complaints but at least get it to the current day. All in all from very good to lame. If it doesn’t change I will be looking for a new app to use.

One stop for getting market updates. Love the app for getting market updates and track my stocks. The number of stocks you can have in your list is limited. Haven’t tried CNBC pro I just get the news from Foxtel.

Great info. Enjoy the up to date information

The fastest Updates on share prices as they happen.. I use different stock apps. I found this to be the fastest updates. Well done!

Awesome News App. CNBC has been on top in terms of TV news and now with the App it has gone to a new level. Can you also please include documentaries and news videos to watch?

Full Financial Coverage including Property. The facts up to date and well delivered

Superb up to date financial information. Superb flow of financial information. Has the edge as I’m able to tailor the information flow to my needs.

Best app ever. This app is much intuitive than the web site. More information at my fingertips, suit my needs. Thank you

Good and easy to use app. I find this app gives me a precise summary of worth knowing news and data. Highly recommended. It covers a wide range of subjects worthy of knowing.

Watch list. I would like to be able to see the S & P 500 futures on my watch list.

Currency’s. You need to be more upto daye with currencies. Your data is usually 3 days out

The best!. CNBC news app provides well written and current newsworthy articles covering finance and broader geopolitical issues.

I use it daily. Pretty good app and useful content

Personal Review. The CNBC app is so great, it Gives you all the latest information on your favourite stocks and information on stocks that are rallying pre market.

Missing US futures. Great app however the US futures is no longer showing. Please bring it back.

Ed Leong. Fantastic app. Keep up the good work and please don’t change anything !

Up to the minute market effecting news. As a currency, equities and options trader, I like the CNBC app because it keeps me updated asap, 24/7, with the kind of news that moves markets. All major trading exchange real time numbers are available as well as the tracking of just about any particular currency pair, commodity, stock or derivative.

Unfortunate. What a great app for its content...mostly. The sad part is the partisan views that stick out so easily from its writers. No positives ever mentioned from administration, always doom and gloom. As a neutral I like to see both the good and bad be pointed out and it is a real shame to see the fall of real journalism, even on what were once great news sights. Barely a grumble about record employments numbers, NK detainees being returned etc. Pathetic really

Best finance app so far. Without need to pay high subscription fees this is probably the best app i can get. Thank you CNBC! I would be also good to extend the watchlist to other overseas market.

Beginners Friendly App. I have no idea about the stock market etc but the App and it’s user friendly features & up to date news feeds is making learning about the market processes quite straightforward. Still a lot to learn but you don’t need to be a wizard to work what info your looking at like some apps. Just hope what I learn serves me well.

Plagued by live streaming issues. Poor support. This app is great when it works. After the recent update to “improve” live video I had many problems with it. The most frustrating aspect is the response from the super team: general, as if it is your fault, asking for feedback rating. I had problems with iPad and iPhone, Mac and Apple TV Ok. Now none of them are working, advising that all channels are off air. It is not a cheap subscription and it should do much better. Subscribers beware.

Wall Street in my home. I am a professional investor with 55 years of experience. I am now self-employed. CNBC gives me access to the people and data I know and trust. The data are presented graphically in a clear and useful manner. Thank you, CNBC !

CNBC Pro Subscription Doesn’t Work for Apple TV. Just a note to those people out there - if you were hoping to watch CNBC Live on an Apple TV, using the CNBC App combined with your “Pro” subscription, this service is NOT available. (I live outside the U.S, therefore I’m unable to link up a U.S cable subscription service to the CNBC App). ‘Live TV’ can only be watched on an iPhone & iPad using the “CNBC Pro” subscription service - not Apple TV. CNBC charges a lot of money for the “CNBC Pro” service and I have found it gives little value for money. For now, I won’t be renewing the CNBC “Pro” Subscription.

Mister. I’m in Australia but the Oz share market dances to the American market! So my first go to every morning is CNBC. It gives me the economic pulse of the US and so sets the direction for the day. I live by the banner that CNBC gives of the cross section of everything economic/financial!! Thanks CNBC Hesse Oz

Congratulations. Keep up the great work… I literally wake up and check my mobile and CNBC app first… I’m from Australia and love to see what happened overnight on the markets!!!

Feedback. I’d like more news stories plus access to stories from a few days back

CNBC always reliable. Only check out the close I’m in Melbourne Australia like to know the outcome of the days trade. Got interest after watching Foxtel in Australia. However Fox stopped their CNBC telecast some years back . So I got the app. Check it out having coffee at Heavenly pies Bayswater In Melbourne before our markets open. That’s the ASX.

Tremendous Website. Great reporting and quality information

A great source of reliable information. Thank you CNBC for such a reliable source of information that is not biased in any way. The reporters and presenters do a great job of explaining what is happening and why. I love Jim Cramer for his insight and understanding.

Good Cheap Information. Not a great user of this App but it does provide me with all the information that I need on the US and other international markets at no cost.

Procurement. Would like to see more content on Procurement please.

Financial market. News about a minute behind when it happens can’t ask for better than that.

Excellent. Top one stop shop., but what happened to Dow futures

Please create a widget. Love the app, easily my favourite for staying up to date with stocks and indices. Would greatly appreciate it if you guys could also create a stock widget for iOS 14, kinda like other apps such as yahoo finance have done.

As A New Reader.. I haven’t, as yet, fully discovered the depths of the financial reporting on your site but my first impression is one of satisfaction. I would, perhaps, like a more in-depth view of most financial issues but I appreciate the ability of being able to scan the headlines and get a general overview of the issues in which I am interested. Overall, in the few days that I have been using your site, I am impressed and look forward to delving deeper to ascertain the ability of your reporting to give an unbiased overview of the World.

Great news to keep up with.. Just downloaded this great apps and very happy to get the latest information about stocks and world news promptly.

Instant USA Prices. The CNBC App is the first thing I look at in the morning, to check my USA share prices. I like the short videos and articles when accessible. Improvements that could be made would be; making more articles and videos accessible to those who don’t pay a subscription – too many articles can only be read if you subscribe to “Pro“ or “the Club“.

Fantastic For A Novice. Not being a finance Wizz Kid I find the news and Market Advice invaluable for my retirement savings and general planning, financial insights etc

News. Great news coverage and service Outstanding

Very informative website. Well rounded and informative.

Dr Gerhard F Kempe - Kempe Invest - Kempe Project Management - Kempe Therapies. CNBC has an authentic style to provide up to date and truthful news in all areas of economics politics and financial markets - for preventive and acute holistic advice how to treat Covid 19 - read Ebook Kempe Therapies section - sinus - pneumonia - flu - immune system and note the High frequency treatment therapy

More needed now than ever. What more can be said, the “eggs” need very close watchimg.

Very good news update. Fantastic app for world economic news

Helpful. Easy to get a quick daily update on the markets & current news.

More markets please!. It’s a great app but I really wish they would add stocks from the Swiss, Australian and Spanish markets.

Excellent news app. Much better than the Bloomberg app

Future Pricing location. Love the app, but not some of the resent changes. Please Move the futures for the 3 major indices back up with the days outcomes and not at the very end where it is now. Cheers

The best news and business App. Very informative and interesting

Charts on stocks. I follow my watchlist on cnbc everyday. The One Day chart is bad. Sometimes it doesnt come up at all. Needs improvement to hv it open up fast n crisp. That’s my feedback.

Reliable information on the go. Great app giving reliable information easy to read anywhere I need it.

First quality for information on business and stocks. I always rely on CNBC to keep up with everything that is happening on the market.

Great app. Great app for news in financial markets

Superb. Excellent fast reliable app Loved it

Not able to use it with another app.. I’m not able to use it at the back with another app.

IPhone X alerts don’t work. IPhone X alerts don’t work

Used every day !. Used every day

Don’t Upgrade. Folks, do NOT upgrade to v5.16.0. The new charts on mobile are absolutely trash. This used to be one of my favorite watchlist apps. @CNBC, git reverse these changes ASAP.

Go to App for breaking news. Breaking news quotes all well organized in a simple user friendly interface.

Worst media group. They have no journalistic ethics in reporting, from Jim Cramer to shepherd smith these host are very arrogant and will give you the worst possible view of any news.

Garbage. The articles posted on CNBC app are pure garbage. Nice to see articles talking up hedge funds and volatility in the market from analysts thats work at those same hedge funds. I have loved you for years but now how could I ever trust you, pure garbage. Please read every article knowing the writer and who they work for. Goodbye forever

Repetition. Too much repetition in stories carried. The same story appears multiple times in each edition. Geoviews

Won’t load videos. Will not load

App keeps crashing. The app used to be helpful in keeping track of the market but the app crashes constantly rendering it useless!

App. It is the best among CNN , Bloomberg. We get the news faster, better news & presentation ( more graphic) the disposition 👌👍. Continue your excellent work. Denis

Garbage. Garbage platform and “news” organization that blatantly spreads misinformation especially in the financial sector. They blatantly manipulate stocks in favour of shorters and large money.

CNBC is becoming CNN. Biased and Fake. Like the app but started looking for a new site as all the news has become so one sided and biased. I feel like they are trying to out do CNN.

Please make it free. Too expensive to purchase pro.

NEWS every morning. EXTRA!!! The notifications yelling at you with “no nonsense” text lines! There were certain stocks in RED and what penny stocks worth buying. What made them gone on roller coaster rides? Most recent EXTRAs was President Joe Biden classified documents. HELL not again?😥

Fishing News. Given high target price then trade down then lower target price all the time

Complicit. I used to respect CNBC but they were complicit in today market manipulation by Robin Hood and others. Your hosts are so smart yet you asked these silly softball questions on what was an egregious act, betrayal of trust, change in the rulers of the game. Shame on CNBC you have lost all credibility and the respect of my generation.

Used to be favorite. With the Pro and Club, what used to be a great app has lost its appeal.

No notification on iOS 17 at all. No notification on iOS 17 at all

Loved it but disappointed now !. This was my bible till they stopped live radio for Canada ! Cause of Tunein deal but TuneIn doesn’t have CNBC for Canada neither !

Fraud; market manipulating despots. A band of media that focuses on spewing whatever necessary to control market’s retail investors.

Fantastic. I love this app all the info I need right at my finger tips.

Live stream no longer works. Live streaming under my Pro subscription no longer works. Buffers for 5 min before deciding whether it is going to play the live broadcast or not. These issues did not exist before the latest update.

App update of Aug 21/2023 - (not good). Lost a few of my watch lists Other watch lists got jumbled up, and reverted back to old watch lists of years ago

A Slap in the Face to Canadians. Get the Bloomberg app instead, at least it shows the TSX. CNBC feel the TSX doesn't exist...even on their TV show you won't learn how Canadian stocks are doing unless they are also sold on the NYSE...yet you'll get all kinds of info on the lesser world markets. That's a real slap in the face to Canada. CNBC's app only let's you enter a portfolio of 20 or less stocks, also quite useless if you want to monitor more than that for a safer diversified portfolio in today's economy.

Enjoy the app but news needs to be more current. I was using the app every day but lately they news is really out of date so I’m going to other sources.

Great app. Great experience

Pro. Too much stuff only for PRO members

Bugs and the removed metrics. I often gets stocks list refresh problems and they removed information like P/E or earnings dates

Best educational app and totally free love it. The best app available

They Present Both Sides - Buy And Sell.. They have information for ALL LEVELS OF INVESTORS. You won’t Find Anything Better Anywhere 👍

Too much pro and club. I suggest to free more infos. If you put everything into pro and club, it may force the reader to go to other source. I have a CNBC tv. I don’t want to subscribe it again. That is my concern.

CNBC PRO. Your app is almost perfect. I am a big user. The addition of the “PRO” is useless as the added information not worth the cost. I recommend to go back to totally free way, maybe inject some adds if you have to, better then losing customers to rival network (like I did, by watching Bloomberg (never watch it before)). MM

Content is good but... When I listen to a video and stop it for a moment or two it starts from the beginning and doesn’t resume where it left off. Frustrating and a real time waster

Update Issue. Your recent update messed up My watchlists completely. You guys messed up real good. My current multiple watchlists were replaced by my older watchlists that I had deleted many months back. Your updated wasted many hours of my time bcos I had to recreate them from scratch.

Was a good app …. Until almost every article requires you be pro member or part of Kramer’s investment club to read it …. All about just making cash from reader

They killed their Apple Watch app.. Disappointing...

Too many pros. Done

cool. nice news frfr

Love it. I wish we could have a personal linked porfolio

.. I love it. Use it every day. I wish the app offered a better way to rate Stocks within their indexes.

Streaming not available in Canada. This was the best feature. Disappointed.

Good finance app. Very good app I use it to track bond prices

Stock quotes. It better show the 52 weeks high/low

Stories are too biased. It’s really irritating when you try to get the facts of a story but the author is more concerned with creating political bi partisanship than telling the facts. I get, you’re a reporter, you hate Trump, you hate Conservatives and conservative values. Can a reader not get a story without learning all the authors personal feelings?

LOL. LOL I clicked a link to open an article and then the link failed

Radio feature is disabled in Canada. Radio feature is disabled in Canada

Price does not match on the chart. Since last one week or do when they made some changes, now the prices does not match on charts. Hope they fix it.

What happened. I really like this app. But in the last several weeks, it been very disappointing. It freezes up It doesn't load fast anymore...sometimes taking over a minute or two. So now I've given up on it for stock quotes. It's just too doggy slow. Still like many of the articles. You just have to put up with the freezing and very slow loading. I wonder if the developers ever read their reviews Updated. App is much improved. Loads fast and has great articles

Disconnecting Doesn’t Pause App. When I listen on the way to work, turn off my car, I find that the app is still playing audio in my pocket using unnecessary battery/network resources. Also when using in CarPlay mode and selecting any other different audio source like radio, the other audio course comes on for few seconds but CNBC comes back on. This makes one have to hit the pause button to reactive the audio in CarPlay mode and results in unnecessary clicks when driving so is unsafe and increases risk of collision due to distracted driving. This needs to be fixed so if car is turned off or headphones removed that audio stops. Also if audio source changes so something else in CarPlay mode CNBC app needs to stop audio also.

An OK financial news app. Very well designed app. It is a big improvement over prior versions that were difficult to navigate and subjected the user to intolerably long video ads. On the down side CNBC admitted to banning future guest appearances of someone speaking his contrarian assesment of what made the USA a prosperous country and how that could possibly change in the future. The observation in this case could potentially help a longer term investor make a more informed decision towards their foreign asset alloction. It begs the question, what other kind of information might not be presented because it was deemed too contrarian?

I love this App.. I use it all the time. It provides all the info I need on my stocks, ETF’s and markets and timely information. The App Interface is well thought out and intuitive to use. I especially like the charting and ability to customize the charts. When viewing a stock’s info, you can turn your screen horizontally and view the chart in detail and add or change your analysis technique. The final point I’ll make is the App seems rock solid, always works and is not buggy. Great App and it’s free.

Good app. CNBC is a great app for keeping up with the financial and political news as well as global stock markets. You can also follow up the prices of the stocks of your choice. The app is very easy to use and attractive, it’s also free. The news section and analysis is good, and updated through out the day. The app news and analysis is moderately biased against president Trump, a less biased and more fair analysis would certainly be a welcome change. All in all, I’m quite happy with the service and feel that it serves a big part of my financial news.

Bugs in the charts, price returns, company description. The App has a lot of useful information and user friendly but the charts don’t work occasionally or price returns section is not populated. Company information is sometimes missing. I contacted customer service and they recommended to clear the internal cache in advanced settings. Turning the phone off/on helps reset but it appears to be an app that gets bogged down if you want to look at more than 5 charts or so in a row and data has population issues. If CNBC is marketing to investors/ professionals that are viewing numerous charts and stocks, the app may need more debugging.

CNBC In parallel universe. CNBC analysts and some guests I think are out of touch with the Reality of what’s going on with the citizens that are struggling with high prices of inflation and how it negatively affects their lives. Since the inflation does not affect the daily lives of your guests and TV analysts. They just reference how it affects the markets ONLY. They look at a very narrow view of inflation through a very narrow view points. To the point that I think that they are not very good at their jobs. Then you keep returning guests who predictions of market activity (not what if) you should these guests crystal balls and send them to the New Jersey good walk instead of returning to give more wrong and very poor quality information..Disappointed with your organization, it appears to me your taking a higher entertaining percentage for your Broadcasts. I do generally enjoy the shows before 9 o’clock. On a smaller note I don’t understand why I can’t view a mutual fund on your page FWOMX. I had inquired before about it and got blown off. Thank you for your time, Norbert Gaspari

CNBC App review. This review might not be received well by management but your App is so good in allowing me to follow financial markets and stocks in relatively real time I do not have to watch your TV show ( the exception is Cramer's first ten minutes on MM ). I can read the important articles and not get involved in the "food fight" with guest commentators sharing opposing views. Normally when a web page that I use a lot is changed it takes me awhile to re-navigate it. That was not the case with your reconstructed app as I found it much more user friendly.

CNBC. The app is very good. Provides very good news info and market stats. It responds very well to commands. It certainly performs what I need to track stock positions in different portfolios. It is highly recommended and it meets my needs. However, many times it does not provide the company Profiles or past Earnings information to get all information data that is normally displayed which is very frustrating when trying to evaluate a stock. It no doubt loses access to servers that contain that data. But it does come back hours after the incident.

CNBC - your one terrible weakness!. I watch CNBC every day. The only thing that disturbs me is Joe Kernan. He is a terrible interviewer!. And, he constantly distracts with ridiculous chatter that is cheap and childish. Do you not realize that people take their finances and investing very, very seriously, and want to hear from your knowledgeable guests in an intelligent way. Kernan interrupts and gets into cheap and meaningless chatter. Time and time again when he does this I just switch to Bloomberg Or CNN. He is the only person who causes me to switch channels. He was away today and how refreshing and excellent your Squawk Box program was. Please have your producers make changes with Kernan.

Ms Blacktie Investor. I have good luck with this app on my iPad. I use it daily watching the market while reading news on CNBC. I don't always like the way app works on my iPhone. Content is always interesting and I get news as it happens which is important to me. Mostly a great job on this app. 👍 What is it about withholding analysts and other news and putting it on Pro? It’s too much money for older and very young investors. I home that changes. It just doesn’t feel right. Since I like everyone, I’m not feeling great about it.

Live TV watching became horrible. The app lets you watch Live TV but became abusive in March 2021. If I watch TV in the app I get stuck seeing 2 mins of commercials from the live TV stream, then 15 seconds of programming, then the app interrupts the live TV feed to play 5 MINUTES of ads! Interrupting ad filled content with more ads than the actual TV stream is disrespectful of my time. 7 minutes of ads, 15 seconds of content. I will try Bloomberg’s app instead. The news reading part of the app is fine - it’s about as good as the web site.

Forcing me to create an account is dumb. I’ve been using this app for years. I like that i can go on it quickly and see how my stocks are doing. There are times it either takes a long time to load info on a company or doesnt have up to date news. I literally have to search for the latest news because it doesnt have it on certain stocks. I overlooked it because I like that i can click in it and see how my stocks are doing. Now it is asking me to create an account. Why? Are you planning on selling my number or email to other entities? You dont need my information, i click on your app multiple times daily, so your ads get seen by me all the time. No need for my information. Deleting the app out of principle. Dont bother getting this app

CNBC negative coverage on President Trump. By my own interpretation and count, articles covering or mentioning the President were negative or highly critical about 80% of the time, and favorables only occurred about 20%. More cunningly, to most readers not as observant as I am, the very selection of minor or unnewsworthy subjects that CNBC tagged on the president was over the top, IMO. Dozens of the press equivalent of drive by shootings appear weekly and are inserted by CNBC editors who clearly disfavor Trump and the Republicans. For proof, let’s have CNBC’s left leaning website editors post the entirety of articles covering Obama and his administration for the comparable week ending last year, 52 weeks ago. The insidious dislike of the President by CNBC is patently obvious.

Old app was simpler and more direct to find information. Your news flash have become a nuisance in the app display. Can’t get rid of them once they come in and over lay the upper portion of screen. Didn’t have that problem before. With this version you have to drill down too much to get things. By the way when viewing an extended hours trading stock, there’s no volume information. Old app would show extended and normal trade volumes when u click in. Too many little quirks that make it more complicated. Navigation is not as smooth as the other.

Won't pay for content that constantly is scolding me for being born a white male.. Echoing the same sentiments already mentioned multiple times - app and cnbc generally has pretty decent quality business, finance, investing and economic reporting but there is always the bleeding-heart NBC political spin on any reporting that even touches on politics; which is why I'll never pay NBC for the premium version of this app. Just as it drives me insane when the WSJ app charges me for "premium" content and then blasts me with full page ads, I will never pay the hypocrites at NBC Universal a dime to preach to me about how ashamed I should be for having been born a white male. No thank you as my 4 year old niece says.

Advertised Full Episodes but Does Not Deliver. This is the first time I’ve ever left a review. I wanted to watch full episodes of The Profit which are offered on the website. However, when you click on the episode to view you are redirected to get the app. If you decide not to get the app you are booted to to a completely different section of the website unrelated to The Profit. I did download the app and go to The Profit - but from inside the app, full episodes are not available! Only clips. So there is effectively no way for me to watch any full episodes of The Profit. I feel that I have been tricked into downloading the app. This was my experience using both an iPhone and iPad. Perhaps this is not a problem via a computer but I do not have that option.

Charts. I love this app enough to keep using it even though the chart downgrade from a few months ago continues to get in my way. Much of the time on my iPhone 8 the chart simply disappears. Other times it shows the wrong time frame. I may have chosen day but it shows week. Also I continually touch the chart while scrolling and of course that doesn’t work. Argh. The charts were great before this change. I was able to get more data when touching an area on the chart and now I just get crosshairs that tell me nothing.

CNBC. Stock portion is right up to date. Info and news on stocks in my listed portfolio should be updated also but are not. If a position has a good ER no news is afforded the user unless it's a FANG. A position dropping 20% after a good, bad or so so ER should be updated by clicking on the position in my stock list and the news click for that position should show the why for drop or advance. Otherwise it becomes a fishing expedition for up to the minute information affecting decisions. Other than above the app. Is responsive and easy to navigate.

Latest update take steps backward in charting. With the latest update in May 2021, charts took a huge step back. Gone is the red dot that snaps to the chart. Now you have to move your finger around until the crosshairs is over the spot on the chart you want to see the price on. Even worse, gone is the 2 finger method that you used to be able to see % gain or loss from selected point to other selected point. News is still good. This is a classic example of a good app trying to do too much to please everyone and ending up alienating its’ base. You don’t have to do everything to be a good app. You just have to do some things really well. Don’t forget your roots. News and stock charting. Keep it simple.

Factual News Presentation. For as many years as CNBC has been broadcasting, I have watched and listened. I appreciate your candor, accuracy and willingness to dig into the “facts” and present same. We in the world are in a very dangerous period. I was born in the late 30’s. My father was an army officer on active duty .WW 2 was very real for me as was Korea, The Cold War and Vietnam. Our current virus outbreak is real and scary. No one seems to have an accurate estimate as to the eventual outcome. So please continue to keep us all updated and informed. Thanks, Mike Keller

App continuously degrading. This app is going from bad to worse. It has always had connectivity issues, losing credentials every time the signal is low and asking to re-login etc. After the last update it lost its Picture in Picture feature and now you can only watch it when it is in the foreground and it pauses the content if you switch to a different app. Really the opposite of what you expect from a streaming app that is expected to keep running in the background. It seems to do so while plugged in, in my car, though which sounds even stranger, ie they expected the need for that while plugged in but not when not plugged in.

Knowledge is Power!. I have been a CNBC fan from their first day on the air! Through the knowledge I have gained , from the guests and especially Warren Buffett And Bill Gates , this has enhanced my investment knowledge. Much thanks to Andrew, Becky and Joe. Happy Thanksgiving! To you and your Company Jerry Our economy is changing quickly due to many Current events. However, my viewing of the morning show has helped me keep my perspective on how to continue to invest during Times of turmoil!! Thanks for the great guest your show provides👍

Unreliable App. I either use the Yahoo finance App or CNBC. Yahoo App doesn’t go as many update as the CNBC App however lit more reliable as far as the available info at any given time. I’d wished the App developer group just for once use their product for any single stock to notice anything missing daily performance graph to detailed info such as 52 weeks performance to institutional ownerships and many more. I don’t know why my reviews left unanswered by the support group and deleted since I. ABR see my previous comments.

Newest update to the interface: TERRIBLE!. The new changes to the interface now make you scroll and scroll to see all the stories. Why did you have to devote so much space to images????? One wants to scan the headlines quickly to find stories to read - now it is a long, drawn out process of having to look at images that take up so much of the viewable page. Less is more - this is a total failure for people who want to read business news and data..... How about offering the option to NOT view images? Hate it now!!!!!

Hmmathews. I am not comfortable in writing review, there are reviews in everything. It’s stressful for me. I do love CNBC, great information helping me in investing and researching. I am trying to teaching my grandchildren, to watch this Chanel for 30-40 minutes daily, it will make sense. Thinking on pro and con, and picking/following stocks on Companies of products that they know and their friends love. Pay yourself 15cents on the dollar they earn. My thoughts is if I can’t keep 25 cents for myself, I am not going to work!...Thank you for all the great shows.

If I have to say it then you don’t understand. Watching CNBC is the life line for people like me who didn’t grow up exposed to the stock market let alone understand how to make money. If I have to tell you that the best of the best is CNBC or you can just listen to Cramer & the amazing shows throughout the day and figure it out for yourself. You may have skipped doing your homework in grade school but if you actually do it now you’ll benefit for years to come. Be smart or be lazy it’s up to you. Good Luck people !

Not Like it Used to be- Recycled Garbage. I got the CNBC app 5 years ago. When I first got it, they actually provided insightful journalism! Articles would cover the news you wouldn’t normally hear about in mainstream sources. Additionally, the data they would provide had unique perspectives that made you think and see things differently. This is what journalism is suppose to be! What is it now? Garbage. Today’s articles are full of self help guides like “how to get my credit score up” or “Advice from RBJ’s personal trainer.” People don’t read the news to get self help, they read it to actually learn something. Additionally, all of their articles are recycled. It used to be there would be 30-45 original pieces of journalism on the app every day. Someone must have gotten a budget cut because recently I’ve struggled to find more than 10 new articles a day, (most of these are self help ones btw). Overall, it’s really sad where this app has gone. I wouldn’t download it. I’m looking for a new source for my news.

Why?. After almost every upgrade the app refuses to completely load. Exit, reload then it works. A day or 2 later bug is resolved with no known upgrade. Why? Happens on iPhone & iPad. Like the content. Especially since I can now block pop up audio. Really obnoxious for sound and pop up crap. Tech side is consistently erratic. And consistent. Watched Fast Money yesterday. You’ve reverted to reworking Melissa Lee’s makeup and lighting to its past once a week over make up making her look like a street worker. Why? Also Replace Tim Seymour. Why? It’s supposed to be about News. Not him hollering and over talking regulars and even guests. Give him his own 11 pm show no one will watch. Or better yet is he auditioning for a Fox News position?

Wrong Data Being Reported and Remains Uncorrected. I noticed about a month ago and reported that the stock ticker LUNG, which is Pulmonx , Inc. is incorrectly linked to another company’s profile and contact information, an unrelated company called Prolung. When I scroll down to the company profile section, I see this error, though I believe the stock data above belongs to Pulmonx. I wonder how many other stocks have a similar problem, making me not trust the information displayed and double check everything now.

The problem is Joe Kernen and Meg Tyrell. The app works good and is informative. The issue is CNBC having people like Joe Kernen and Meg Tyrell. Joe Kernen mocks guests that are not supporters of our current president. He adds nothing to a meaningful conversation. Meg Tyrell is a person who spreads false information about medical and health items. During the vape crisis she made wrong comments as facts surrounding thc vapes. She said thc vapes were causing deaths which was partially true. Illegal thc vapes and other illegal vapes were the cause not ones from properly licensed dispensaries. These two people are dangerous to the app and network.

Some improvements, but...... Why does the app keep crashing on both my iPhone 6 and iPad Air2? And it crashes whether on wifi or cellular. Recently, it all too frequently just stalls between areas or even freezes completely; this is a new, very annoying behavior. The frequency seems to have increased when they made more video news reports available. That, plus increased ads, is making me rethink what I used to consider a top app for staying abreast of daily market activity. May just go back to Yahoo Finance or Bloomberg.

Please fix charts. In the last update or two, the charts have become less helpful. They don’t reflect the latest price in some time periods. Also, it was better when the crosshairs followed the line of the chart. Finally, there used to be a simple way to plot a 50 and 200 day moving average, and now this is gone. Besides the charts, I continue to believe it would be helpful to have more basic news show up under the ticker. Earnings releases, etc. Last comment, could you improve the accuracy of earnings dates, and also indicate if a company is reporting before or after the bell. Thank you

Extraordinarily Nice!. I just subscribed annually to the CNBC app. I love it. The app works extremely well and brings all relevant real time business news and financial information to my fingertips. The app itself is easy to use and configures intuitively to my particular interests. The graphics are outstanding. I especially appreciate the real time stock-market futures information, as well US Treasury rates, and oil-price data. This app is well worth the price for those who need real time financial market information. Strongly recommended.

CNBC app. If I don’t need to help me I will pay for the money to pay you back at this email transmission and any information that I will do to you get a credit Wise this transmission is going on with the price you pay me your company pay me back and that I would pay you for it if I can purchase the information I can get it back at the price I will get you a credit Wise I have a good credit credit for it I would pay you back at least you can purchase the information you want and I don’t have to pay for the credit

CNBC Financial News. I have been watching CNBC since 1999. Most accurate and up to date financial news anywhere. Fast Money, Fast Money half-time and Cramer’s Mad Money are must watch programs. I recently became a CNBC Investing Club member. The App provides enhanced viewing of a portfolio of stocks. It also provides charts to monitor stock movements over time. My only complaint is the recent adjustment to the charts section has negatively effected information while viewing stock prices over time. Prior to the recent adjustment this feature was much better. Thanks CNBC for your years of excellent reporting. Loyal Follower in TX.

Keep the app only about the markets. I do not care for the politically biased news, articles, etc. Please keep the app strictly about the markets. I do not care about CNBC’s opinion or political bias on issues. To explain further, here is a great example... When I am in the chatroom of my broker, any political talk is not welcome or allowed. We are only allowed to talk about the markets. If we do talk politics, we are given a warning. If we continue to ignore the rules, we will eventually be removed or even banned from the chatroom. An individual’s political opinion does not belong in trading or the stock market. The same rules should apply here with this app! Report only about the markets. That’s it!

Great app, but.... This is absolutely one of my favorite, and most often used, apps, BUT because they know they're good, they came out with a few-based Pro version and I don't like that. There are many good financial apps, mostly free, let the advertisers support the app, not the investors. I won't subscribe to the Pro version, the free version is excellent, but I don't like to be missing timely info and that CNBC is just "chomping at the bit" to maybe even charge more money. I earned my money as an entrepreneur, I get it, but I don't like to be charged for this type of app. You’re great. Be free.

Advertisements need to be adjustable. I've been using this app for over a decade and it's always been very good compared to everything else that's available. Now I'm seeing advertisements for items that I do not want to see or need to see but there is no way to provide that feedback. They need to correct this. Update August 1, 2020 Now I've noticed that the watchlist was changing position on the screen every few seconds. They really do change this app for the sake of change. It's irritating that the screen moves when I'm trying to read it. It would be better if this "feature" was able to be disabled.

Satisfaction with a path to improvement. Expansive content well curated and archived. Quick, yet thoughtful news over both national and international topics, ranging from economic drivers to politics to multiple issues affecting both. Easy selection of articles to save and excellent cross-referencing between stocks being currently cited and previous articles. One recommendation would be increasing the number of stocks being followed. Thank you for employing a number of journalists previously with “The Nightly Business Report.”

Best of all. Timely, provocative for thought, leaves reader feeling smugly well informed, good range of delivery by prominent personalities, wisely draws on market experts like Art Cashin, significant attention diplomatically to sensitive political figures and issues; just a little less Kudlow bravado would make the package perfect. Thank-You Ditto above and it is too bad that comments can not be offered on articles to assuage reader sense of helplessness over news. If comments were scientifically assessed or ranked to determine generic sentiment it would be wildly popular.

Surprisingly Poor App!. Been working with the developers for over a year to get help trying to sign in with my cable provider. App works on  TV but not on iPhone & iPad regarding the “watch tv” - frustrating, but no one seems to be able to resolve. 😢 Just got a note from  saying the developer wants to help fix this. I guess they don’t read the comments. The note above says developers have been working on this for over a year now. I’ve tried two different providers (Frontier & Directv) and still the “watch tv” does not work on iPad or iPhone for me. Only works on  tv. Ironically, the “free preview” does work on iPad and iPhone but you only get 10 minutes. 😤

Problems with “Pro” registration so watch out. I’ve used the app (both the regular and for the last year + “pro” and find it helpful. But recently the app has gotten more complex and redundant with serious bugs in the registration and renewal payment processes - and it seems customer service is nowhere to be found. Apple charged my credit card for the $299 annual membership renewal and reflected it in my “subscriptions” but the Pro service is still inactive in my CNBC browser and it keeps trying to get me to “sign up” and pay again. I emailed customer service and robo email just said they couldn’t find my account — would like my $300 back or give me the service I paid for. Sorry but it is pretty bad to treat a repeat customer this way especially over substantial money.

Live TV option is a joke. The app has always had issues with watching on a mobile device. It constantly forgets your TV provider forcing you to confirm it again. Sometimes on a daily basis. It struggles with changing ads from actual CNBC to mobile CNBC ads. But over the past few months it’s become unwatchable. It now forces you to watch digital ads before you get to content. And there is no indication of how long it goes on for. I’ve never actually made it to live tv the past few weeks as I give up after five minutes of nonstop commercials. CNBC tv is plenty annoying on its own with the five second return spot only to go to 3 minutes more of commercials. But the mobile version has become worthless.

Great app!. Would have given it 5 stars if it weren’t for the fact that the monthly Subscription is way over priced. Other than that, this is a great app that definitely helps you keep an overview of your whole portfolio with the added ease of not needing a password or facial recognition just to take a quick peek at how your stocks are doing for the day or longer time frame. Also a great source of up to date news articles and the ability to adjust what type of announcements you’d like from the app. Can’t go wrong with this app especially since it’s FREE!

Feedback. Your network has become th go to TV news source for serious people. It would benefit greatly from less Cramer, even less Santelli and a total elimation of Keenan, but it is the best. Your website has the chance to become the same on the net. In addition to the above it would be great if you’d push your repeat entries to the bottom of the scroll rather than the top. Also, the insight from pros and analysts is enormously helpful. More of that the better. Finally, your website is slow. But in the whole you are really really good.

App crashes upon opening.. I have been contacted by CNBC IT online and by email within two or so hours after complaining. So they are working to fix the app quickly. They get a lot of points for this in my eyes. I have been using this app for years and it has been fantastic with few problems. This afternoon when I went to open it up, it crashes. Every time I try to open it up it crashes and closes. I will return the five star rating when it is fixed.

What happened to the Watch List?. The latest update shows percentage moves in large and bold type. Point and dollar moves are in extremely small type. There is no way, that I can find, to swap this information. I’m more interested in point/dollar moves than percentage moves when viewing my watch lists. Update: After writing this review, I decided for the heck of it to close and reopen the app. The Watch Lists defaulted to my preferred listing of price moves. Strange behavior, but I’m pleased.

Excellent for understanding the financial markets.. As an activist and progressive, I need to know the full dynamics and scope of the financial markets because markets impact daily and equitable living. CNBC provides that perspective while encouraging a person to strive for more results financially and economically. From Shark Tank, to Sqwuah Box, to Make it,we see ideas and hopes and how they are actualized to better live and the lives of others. I also took in the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting here. I am really learning a lot. Thank you for this awesome app!11

Charts Are a Mess!. A recent update to this app has made charts all but useless. Any chart longer than five days does not show the two most recent days’ trading data. That is an existential, elemental, and fundamental problem. The one-month chart uses only an unchangeable daily interval and displays only 21-22 data points. It is useless. It should allow hourly data intervals. The app appears to be using Yahoo finance charts and studies, but cannot handle data intervals. The recent update includes many more studies than were previously listed, but has also rendered the app incapable of a functional display of those studies. I have been sending CNBC emails for two weeks. My emails generate either generic automated responses or an invitation to join their “Digital Insiders” group. When a person (presumably) responds, their responses have been inane and laughable: “What symbol are you seeing the problem with?” Or “Send us a screen shot”. What symbol? A screen shot? Just read my emails and look at a chart on ANY symbol. Joining the “Digital Insiders” group only generates more auto- response emails. Fix-It-Folks!
