Needs an update. With buses now running on a new fall schedule, it's obvious the app is not using GPS. Missed my bus twice using the app. Now I'm just going on the MBTA site which defeats the purpose of paying for this app. Update it please !

Who runs this app?. I love how a bus says 4 minutes away. Then 10 minutes later it goes to 2 mins.. then it will be 0 mins away then 1 then zero THEN never come and you hit refresh and it’s 15 mins away... Take a lap and give my 99 cents back.

How many years does it take to fix an app?. Given how often it simply doesn’t work/gives false predictions, you’re better off reading tea leaves to get your bus’s arrival.

Not working as it should. Had said “predictions not available at this time” for the last 3 days. Please fix!!

What’s going on????. I went to check when my bus was coming and it is showing something other than the schedule. Can someone fix it!!!!!!

GREAT until Oct 14 doesn’t work any more. I used this app every day for both MBTA buses and trains. It stopped working on Oct 14, 2018 and it is very upsetting. The email for customer support does not work, so I’m hoping this review gets to the developer. Please fix this app!

Similar app issues. As of oct 15th app stopped giving predictions the message is the same on all bus routes No predictions available at this time. The app had been great but I rely heavily on this app during the winter. Please update and correct issues Will change my rating to 5 stars when it's fixed

Trash. This app does not work at all save your .99 cents It takes a billion years to “initialize” meaning probably never

Don’t buy this app. It was great for a few years, but stopped working this fall. Guessing the developer gave up on maintaining it

Too many error. Not reliable anymore. Too many errors pop up when check on bus arrivals. Certain stops and lines don’t show arrival times

Finally updated to iOS 10!. Great app that I rely on everyday. But it wasn't updated for several years until now. Simple and works great. The only problem is that the favorites sometimes gets corrupted and give errors. Removing them and redo the favorite stop usually works.

help... but stop help with couple weeks. I really need this app! when I get it working perfect but after 3 or 4 weeks.. stoped... my bus route is all mess up... I contact Alex and he’s so helpful!!! bit unfortunately the app stills bad!

Cannot load info. This app was great...for awhile. Now it just constantly says it cannot update do to malformed xml and other lovely messages. It’s been doing this for weeks.

Worst.. The app. I had used for years was suddenly denied information from the MBTA. I switched to this through The MBTA website, and it’s terrible. 1) always errors getting bus predictions; 2) doesn’t show multiple buses arriving at a stop, nor the bus number, nor the clock arrival AND minutes - just minutes until arrival. Oh, and did I mention the CONSTANT error messages???

Missing a BUS STOP on bus line. The app doesn’t NOT include “Tufts Medical Center” there are a lot of employees who take that #11. Can it be added? Other apps u can see the route and where the bus is along the route.

Trash trash. Sometimes works well sometimes doesn’t. You check it to see how many minutes last for the bus it says 3 or 4 then couple minutes late you check again says much more than before.

No longer works. Used to be great. Then became less reliable. Now not functioning at all for past week.

Apps no longer reliable. I’ve been using this app since it came out and it worked perfectly , its so off now that Ive missed my bus 5 nites in a row and had to wait in the cold , any suggestions for a more accurate app to use?

Trash. It has just stopped working completely. I’ve even re downloaded it. What a waste. Does the developer even work on it anymore? Don’t pay for this.

My go-to app. Thanks!

Using for years, always accurate. This app has always provided accurate bus location and timing. Been using for years without a problem. I was surprised by the low rating given my positive experience. I can see how a user would take the time to provide a low review at a moment of frustration but not provide a high review when things are going well.

Super helpful. This app is great - helps me plan when I need to leave my house to catch the bus. It's been really accurate in the year I've been using it.

Error messages. This app has been fantastic the last few years I’ve been using it but now it’s constantly coming up with an error message regarding some bad url or something. I’m just disappointed that such an awesome app isn’t working anymore

App working again!. The app is working again! Thank you so much for fixing this issue.

Horrible app. Horrible app. It works when it’s actually functional. I had it for a week and then it stopped working.

NEED TO UPDATE APP. I love this app. I've tried others but yours is the best. But with recent iPhone update I can no longer touch the screen in map to select a stop. Please don't stop the good work!

Over a year and Very accurate. App works really well. Predicts next arriving buses with consistent accuracy

My go-to. I like this app, but I didn't realize how useful it was until I found out that the Transit app predictions are based on the schedule and not on real-time GPS information. Transit tells me what bus routes are near my location, but this app shows me where the actual bus is. I'm glad it's been updated!

No longer functional. Because this program relies on data from Nextbus and MBTA has ceased providing data to Nextbus, this app no longer functions and cannot provide predictions. Do NOT waste your $.99.

Great app, but.... Was a great app but now doesn’t busses just say inbound or outbound so no idea if it’s the bus you’re waiting for. Used this for the past 4 years to track when my kids bus was coming but now that it just says inbound I have no idea if it’s their bus or not.

App broken and contact info for developers doesn’t work. I have relied on this app since 2010 and it’s the best of the options out there, but predictions stopped working entirely a couple days ago. I tried using the contact information in the app to report a problem but the mailbox was full. Really frustrating.

It does not work well. It is not good at all. It seems like it is broken all the time.

Unstable. The app works sometimes, and others it doesn’t. All sorts of “XML” not found and searching routes is currently broken. I’ve used this app for at least 4 years, but no more.

Only works 50% of the time. Only work about 50% of the time. The rest of the time I get an error message.

Works well while out, tells me when my. Bus will show up, easy to use for all

Don’t bother.... This app is awful. It’s not accurate, and adjusts with huge gaps of time. Once mine went from 26 minutes to 12 minutes. Or even worse from 1 minute to another 10 minutes. It makes your commute harder and way more frustrating. Eventually my app just stopped working and no more predictions could be found. Save yourself a lot of frustration and DO NOT USE THIS APP. ProximiT is waaaaay better.

Doesn’t work at all any more. Completely stopped working a few days ago with ‘Cannot read route list. Agency parameter “a=mbta” is not valid.’

One of the few Trackers that Works!!. I’ve gone through a load of these apps and most don’t work so I thought I’d drop the .99$ and it’s been nothing but amazing. Best app for the money, forget the other options. Half of them made me late to class

Simple in a good way. I find this app simple and easy to use, and way handier than Transit, which is just too much. With this app I have my favorites list for busses, and that’s really all I want. Much quicker for me in the morning.

Predictions not reliable. Have been waiting 10 minutes for bus that keeps getting updated prediction of 2 minutes. Something is not working. 74 Outbound from Harvard Station at Chauncy and Concord Ave in Cambridge. Need some kind if “missing bus” detection, for “Out of Service” buses, as one plausible example scenario.

Great app... when it works. I’ve been using this app for years, and I’ve loved being able to see where the bus is on its route and tapping on other stops along the route to get ETA for them, too. However, a few months ago, I have consistently been getting an error saying “Cannot read predictions. Received bad XML.”, rendering the app totally useless. It’s such a shame, because when it works, it’s great. :(

Updated - almost fully functional again. After about 4 days of no time info from Oct 15, then 4-5 days of totally unreliable information, it seems most basic functionality has returned. I’m not sure I’d trust it for anything further than 15 mins away - but that’s probably a minor issue. Real-time arrival info on a number of routes seems reliable again ——- I’ve depended on this app for years, but as others have noted, as of Oct 15, no bus time info is available on any route. I’ve noticed the same on other similar apps. Have the MBTA shut off their bus tracking info?

Doesn't work anymore!!! Error report. I have used this app for years, but recently I've experienced a problem. When you look up a route, it just gives you an error report. It doesn't show times or even where the bus is currently. I have tried deleting the app and reinstaling but nothing seems to work. Before this issue the app worked PERFECTLY! Please fix this!!!

Sudden problems with the app. I’ve been using this app for 5 years and it has served me well. I’m sorry to have to write a poor review, but the in-all error reporting is not functioning. The time predictions seem to be accurate in the last 24 hours. But the GPS is not working at all. It shows locations that are inaccurate or no predictions at all, even when a bus is coming. Examples: last night on the 47, showed no predictions even though a bus was on its way. Today, gave a prediction of 3 minutes on the 64, which turned out to be correct. But the GPS showed the bus stuck in Union Square Allston, which is more than 10 minutes away. Tried to email about these problem but it said “email failed”. Please fix this app because I depend on it!

Predictions Not Working. I’ve had this app for 4-5 years and the predictions feature stopped working as of few months ago. Very frustrating.

Glorified bus schedule. This app disappointed in that it cost me a dollar to have a worse experience than the free apps. It’s basically a gloried bus schedule that required you to click down 10 levels to get the information you want. I found it too cumbersome to manage (other apps show you the nearest buses and how far away they are without any clicks). Also, this app seems to require previous knowledge of what bus you want, so you need to manually enter the bus line to see where it is. I did not use this app long enough to see if the upcoming bus times were accurate.

Accurate Predictions. This app is invaluable in planning my local travel. Predictions are quite accurate. I appreciate the provision of times for similar routes on the same screen.

very useful. This has served well ever since the MBTA rolled out bus tracking. The interface is relatively clean and predictable. Two elements I wish it had: 1) an easier way to display all the buses on a given route—you can’t access this from a favorite/bookmark, but have to select the route from the home screen, which involves several taps too many for checking ahead (you don’t always want the very next bus, and seeing where everything is helpful for assessing if there may be more delays than indicated by countdowns) 2) link to bus schedules for future planning

Error messages nonstop!. This is a great app when it works. It used to be be fabulous. However, most of the time is doesn’t. There’s constant error messages that say “cannot read predictions. received malformed XML.” I’m sorry but what?? What’s the point of wasting time on an app that is down more times than it’s working. Plus, when it does work it will say the bus is 10 minutes away and as I’m walking to the station it jumps to 2 minutes away causing me to miss the bus. That kind of deems the app useless if it’s also inaccurate right???

Constantly broken. Always has an error message so you can’t even use it

Very good for routes that run often. It's great for choosing the quickest option, especially where there are lots of options, like at Oak Grove or South Station. Where there are few options, however, I sometimes see the next bus is in 50+ minutes, start walking, then 5 minutes later see there's a bus in 23 minutes. Of course, most of my frustration here is with how the MBTA itself favors travel into/out of Boston over travel around Boston. I can't fault the app for that.

Good for the most part. For the most part it's a great app. Sometimes it will drop a prediction and then it reappears 2 mins before the bus arrives. It also has a bad habit of occasionally removing a favorited stop from your list. You are also only able to have 6 favorites-but if you take the bus around the city often you need more than just 6 on the list. But for the most part it's pretty good.

Unreliable. This app hasn't worked for me for two days and I have an iPhone 4. Please fix it. It would be great if the time tracking was more reliable when the app is actually working. As another user mentioned, the bus I track seems to be tracking against the schedule that the MBTA publishes and then when the countdown if off it keeps saying the bus will arrive in 2 minutes but doesn't arrive for 10-15. Sometimes the map view is slightly more helpful in that it enables you to completely disregard the numerical countdown and make a guess based off distance.

Very Accurate. Excellent application, I use it every day in many different locations throughout Boston, always reliable and accurate, definitely is worth down loading.

Unreliable. Half the time the app doesn't work. Times are not always reliable and buses disappear from the queue. So you'll think you're waiting 2 minutes and it will disappear and next bus will be in 18 minutes. OR if you're at the first few stops of a route it will say 2 minutes and you'll still be waiting there in 15 for it to even start the route.

Magic. Took all the anxiety out of riding the bus. This app is honestly the best one I have. I ride the bus a lot, and during off hours, it was always a crap shoot. I could wait 5 minutes, or I could wait 40. It was so stressful when trying to get somewhere on time, or wondering if I had time to run and grab a cup of coffee before the bus came. Now, no more guessing. I got this app about a month ago and have used it around 15-20 times, and every single time the bus has come within one minute of when the app said it would. I find this incredible! If you are a frequent bus rider, or just an occasional one, do yourself a big favor and get this app. I do have a suggestion for improvement, though. It would be nice if the app could use your current location and tell you the closest bus stops, and which routes they serve. This would be hugely helpful if in an unfamiliar area.

Very useful app - highly recommended. This is definitely one of the most useful apps on my phone! I live in Central Square and have only used it for buses that run frequently, but it has been very reliable. Just don't try to predict ETA of a bus from its location on the map... If it says 2 minutes, it probably is 2 minutes, even if the bus is shown 7 blocks and 4 stops away. Overall a very good investment!

Magnificent.. This app has been a long time coming. Just switched over from BlackBerry to iPhone and I never knew when my bus was coming- whether I needed to run to the stop or if I already missed it. Thank you!

Has never been wrong for me. This app has singlehandedly made bus travel tolerable in Boston. I've never missed a bus because of an incorrect prediction, though very occasionally it will say that it's unable to make predictions at this time. The map is useful, too, for when you need to navigate to an unfamiliar stop. Indispensable and a bargain at twice the price.

MBTA Buses. App does not predict MBTA bus arrivals. Avoid.

Works now. The old version crashed on my iPod Touch. This version works and it's a nice app. It's got a nice clean interface gets you to your favorite stops quickly. Not so great if you're lost in Boston, but I already know what bus I'm looking for. The only quibble is that there doesn't seem to be an easy way to see if you just *missed* a bus. That is, "Show on Map" and the "Prediction" only seem to show what's coming; but, sometimes, if I miss a bus, if I'm fast enough, I can run down a bus I missed by cutting through a Rite-Aid parking lot and going to the next stop. So far "Predictions" seem to be better than "Pocket MBTA". Also, though "Pocket MBTA" can do more stuff, this is a quicker and easier to use (as long as you know where you are)

love this app. this is a great app and i use it every day but please update it for ios 11!!

Indispensable. Most useful app on my phone right now. I just moved to Boston from Miami, and I don't think I would've survived waiting for the bus without this app. I get out of my house three minutes the bus is due to arrive on my way to Harvard, and the bus usually arrives almost to the tee of what is reported on the app. These people need an award!

my travel buddy. I love this app! I especially love the bookmarking feature - I have all my relevant buses/routes right on the front page. Any time the app freezes while it's loading (encounters an error) I just double tap the home button and start it again. Didn't give it five stars, however, because it's missing the one thing that would make it perfect for me: I need to know if the next bus is the last bus! Just a small note, maybe, but essential for someone who gets out of work at 11-11:20 and has to take an outer city(?) bus. (Also, reminders would be cool too! Like maybe a ping or two when there's a bus nearby or I need to move a little faster to catch the next one or whatever.)

Awesome app!. I've used this twice a day, every day, for two years straight. It's very accurate and allows you to plan when the bus is coming (accurately, too-it's not based on the MBTA schedule which is always wrong, it's based on where the busses actually are). I highly recommend it, I recommend it to every person I see frustrated and waiting at a bus stop for a bus that's running late as usual. Worth the purchase!

Makes the M.B.T.A feel like your own personal shuttle service. Rarely do I take the time to write an app review but this app has been my most useful for the last two years and i feel like I owe it to the developer to say thanks. Riding the mbta bus used to be a hassle but this app combined with a Charlie card has made it my preferred method of travel. To all of those who are complaining about times not being accurate: I mainly ride the 73, 59, and 71 and have found the app to be scary accurate. Also, the dev who wrote the app has nothing to do with the predictions, the app takes a feed from next bus who tracks all of the MBTA's vehicles. All of these different public transit apps use the same source of information. The only difference is how the information is displayed and I find this app does the best job of keeping it simple.

This is a beautiful app.. I love the creator of this app. I love you. You have saved me from waiting in the cold, you have saved me from running across moving traffic, and ultimately, you have saved me from the inevitable mbta induced suicide so common amongst its customers. You have saved my life. Call me.

Accurate and all.... I like the favorites feature but it would be nice to see all the departure times for favorites on the home screen of the app because sometimes I can take more then one bus from a station and its a pain to have to load each favorite.

The only way to catch the bus!. Way better at predicting when the bus will actually show up than google maps. Indispensable for those who don't want the hassle of finding parking in the city.

What happened?. The app has been terrible the past 2 months. A shame, because it used to be great and extremely accurate. Now the app will tell you that bus will be there in 7 minutes. This means that the bus was there 2 minutes ago. Or it will say that the bus will be at my stop in 3 minutes, and then that 3 suddenly turns into 27. These problems haven't happened once or twice. They are daily occurrences, to the point where I am going to probably stop checking the app all together and just go back to using luck and chance, rather than false hope. What happened to this previously reliable app in 2012 that made it stop working properly?

Tells you when the bus is coming. Gives you the arrival time, sweet and simple. The app uses info from the T, so any problem with busses that go out of service are on the As a T rider you've got to know how amazing they are at telling you what's going on during a delay, right? Not. I like that it give you times for other busses at the same stop. Great to see another route you might not even know about.

Great app!!!. I use the outer express buses (5xx) from metro west to get into work in Boston. I've been using this app for a week and it has been correct every time. I particularly like this app because sometimes MBTA buses are late and one is left standing at the bus stop pondering whether the bus is ever going to come. This app places your bus on the map and gives a prediction as to when the bus will arrive. I've seen other reviews complaining about the app's accuracy but that's got to be a data issue with the MBTA route in question (I believe the app is sourcing it's data from Google Transit) and not the fault of the app itself, per sé. Finally, knowing where my bus is and when it is going to arrive is a God send. I'm a much happier T rider as a result. If you have ever been left standing at an MBTA bus stop frustrated, wondering when in the world is your bus coming, I strongly recommend trying this app.

Awesome...most of the time. When this app works, it's amazing. It has literally changed my morning routine. But, almost 50% of the time in the morning I get a Message saying phone can't read app's properties and that the session times out. And i get this message over and over. If this could get fixed the app would be a dream!

This app isn't good at predicting accurate times. While in theory this app is a great idea, this app is not helpful at predicting accurate times of buses, many times it is off by 20-30 mins or will say no predictions are available at this time! There is another app out there, it's not much better but it's alright Bos next bus. And it's free. It really shouldn't be this hard to give accurate bus times especially with buses that have a tracking system!

Could Use an Update. When it's working, this is a fantastic app. Thankfully accurate with the bus times on a regular basis (which is not always easy to do with traffic), and the map interface has helped me both find the nearest stop on a line and satisfied lots of curiosity as to where a bus terminates. Problem is, this app frequently can get stuck "loading" (and therefore crash). If there was an option to refresh a page within the app--as opposed to restarting my iPhone 5 every time it freezes--I would appreciate it's efficiency all the more.

Can't live without this app. It's my number one app everyday. Always accurate, updates the time every 15secs and tracks the bus location. I just leave to the bus stop 2min before the schedule time and it's always accurate.

Recent problems. When I first installed the app in September, it worked very well, only occasionally freezing or being inaccurate. In the past few weeks though (maybe because of the storms?) it's been terrible. Buses frequently disappear en route, times change on a dime, and it just overall has no reliability. A couple times now I've waited for a bus that was "minutes away" for over 20 minutes. It gets pretty cold waiting that long. Won't use the app anymore.

glad I am not the only one with issues. when I first got this app I loved it and it was always on time with predictions in the last few updates I noticed that the predictions kept getting worse and I understand that sometimes you can't properly predict traffic but for some bus times it would say 2 minutes away for 10 or more minutes which is not cool for people like myself who plan commute times around the arrival of the buses based on these predictions this app used to be amazing and the greatest app for the MBTA but now it is not and if I didn't already buy it years ago I would not recommend or buy it now

Not Accurate Lately. Bought this back in Feb and it was great for 6 mos! Last two months - not so much. 2 stars for the 40% of the time it's right - get me back to +80%. The GPS is off - e.g. 2 mins for the bus that comes in ten; or worse, 2 mins for the bus that mysteriously disappears; or worst of all, 2 mins for the bus you see clearly it's number and tail lights - Gone. Update your data feed or something - I don't want to go into the winter relying on a tool thats not dependable.

Functional but slightly fugly. This app works like a charm for me. I use it frequently and it's always completely accurate. I never use google maps for bus estimates anymore. My only complaint is about the app's aesthetic appearance. It could really use a makeover...especially the opening bus logo when you start the app. No offense to the artist. This would be a seven star app if it looked sleeker. Thanks!

Great when it works, which is only 1/2 the time. I love knowing when my bus is coming! What is less helpful is when the bus leaving my house is coming when I am trying to leave work. Even when I hit back to the home page, the next time I look for q prediction I get a buffering icon while it looks for my last stop...for 5 minutes. It's very annoying and there seems to be no way to stop it, even restarting my phone.

Consistently on time & easy to use. App navigation is easy to figure out and use. Love how I can save my frequently used bus stops as favorites, the bus arrival times are accurate within 1-2 minutes. Once in a blue moon the times are way off - but 95% of the time the bus arrives when the app says it will.

Simply the Best. Simply put, this is the best, easiest to use and quickest to use app you will find for MBTA buses. It has all the routes, it always right on time and allows you to easily plan when you're going to leave somewhere. Saves you the fear of the unknown...did I just miss the bus, do I have to rush to get the bus?

Not working great. I just downloaded this the other day post-blizzard Juno because I am taking a bus to the T for the first time. The bus only comes every 30 to 60 minutes and I have a 15-minute walk to get there (and I need to time it with the Orange line on the other end) so I really need to know when it's coming. This app keeps freezing on me and telling me it is timing out. I don't know if it's a problem with the T or a problem with the app but it seems like the app. It worked great during the blizzard when I first installed it so I don't know what happened. I hope it gets fixed.

My indispensable commuting app. I take the bus to and from the suburbs into downtown Boston and I always use this app when I'm commuting It's very easy to use (gets to the information that I want without a lot if clicks). I also appreciate the automatic updates every 15 seconds. No more waiting at the bus stop wondering when the next bus will arrive. There have been a few occasions when the it doesn't work, such as when the dispatcher re-assigns a bus to another route #

Works!. Simple and has the feature of allowing you to save stops from more than one route to your favorites, so if you are at a stop covered by more than one route you can quickly find out which bus is coming first.

Great except when it royally Fs you. When it works properly, it is amazing and super helpful. BUT It still tracks buses that are out of service and re-adjusting their route. So when you look at your app and see a bus is moments away then a bus breezes by with an out of service sign, its because the app is tracking a ghost bus. This has happened to me 3x in the past 2 weeks. Maybe we can blame the snow, but maybe its a flaw that can be fixed.

Stopped working 15-OCT-2018. Was my favorite app until it stopped working today.

Really needs work. So the app is great when your bus is on time, but if it's late, you'll have no idea where it is. It will tell you the wrong times and once that wrong time has passed, you can't track the bus anymore. And sometimes it just won't tell you what time your bus is showing up at all. Plus the alerts button has been broken for months. I'd still say this is a must have for anyone riding the buses, but it needs improvement.

Pretty good. Makes it easy to plan when I have to travel. Just an idea would be if the app could figure out what the local buses are for you, if I'm walking through the city, or am at a mall somewhere, if it could tell me where the local stops and lines are on my location it would be amazing.

Can't imagine life without this app. So easy to use- especially once you have "favorited" your usual stops. Also extremely accurate. I use this app 5 or 6 times a day with 100% success. Like others have said, a life changer.

App gets confused. Is it better than CTB? Yes. Is it perfect? Far from it. At 420pm, I started tracking the 'next' bus, # 811, due to arrive at my stop at 430pm. I was refreshing constantly to see what was going on. When it was due to arrive in 5min, all of a sudden, 1, it jumped from 5min to 2min, and 2, 811 wasn't next, the app told me #2199 was next. A few seconds later, it switched again from 2199 back to 811. In the end, 1, I missed the bus bc of the quick 3min jump in time, and 2, 811 was in fact the bus I missed, and 2199 came 10 min later. Seems to work fine most of the time.

Great concept, not always great execution. I take the bus a *lot*, and this app has been amazing about 85% of the time. When it works, it works. When it doesn't, it can be a disaster. Not all the busses have tracking and if you 1. Are oo far away from the stop or 2. Don't have a good wifi connection, the app will time out and cause problems. Overall, it's been fine. It's not foolproof, but it's certainly an improvement to guesswork.

Doesn’t work anymore. Doesn’t work at all

Don’t waste your money. App doesn’t work as described

Very useful App. This is a very valuable app for those who need to take the MBTA bus. The map view could be more useful if it shows the remaining time of the highlighted bus to reach the user station. Another feature that can help is to include a sound signal (a beep) that goes off as the bus enters a time zone chosen by the use ( say 10 minutes) so one can rush to catch the bus. Also it would be nice to show more than one bus route on the map.

Great app. I've been taking the bus almost daily and this is the only app I trust! I've found that close to 90% of the time it is accurate, and it's more accurate than just using the bus schedule. Highly recommended!

Sub par. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.... Which renders it virtually unusable because if I can' trust it I can't afford to rely upon it, miss the bus, and be late. I live 3 blocks from the bus stop and as I walk up the app will tell me the bus is 6 mins away, which is perfect because even if there is a couple minute delay the bus would be maybe 3-4 mins away and I will be 1 min from the stop. I get there, wait 5 mins, and then the app tells me the bus is like 14 mins away... How does that happen if you are tracking the location of the bus? Are it's readings just 6-8 mins behind sometimes. Additionally, on the map view, it only shows the bus that is scheduled to arrive next, instead of any busses on the route, so you can't tell if you just missed one... And then sometimes the timer will say one minute, show a bus coming, a bus will arrive but it will be a different number than the route you selected, and then the timer will go back to like 14 mins... So it seems the tracker was tracking the wrong bus on the route. Anyway, such inconsistencies defeat the purpose of the gps so you might as well just look at the schedule.

app runs slow. app runs about 3/4 minutes slow...can’t report using email as app requests

Life Saver. I was waiting for the #1 bus and pulled the application down to check it out. It's pretty straightforward to get started. Sure enough the bus came pretty much as expected. Did the same thing on the return trip. The bonus was that it noted the parallel line's arrival (CT1) at the same stop, which turned out to be much earlier. And sure enough it came around the corner just as the map suggested it would. Psychic... The question on the #1 route is always should I take this bus when waiting another minute or two might get me a seat on a less crowded bus or where's the CT1. Now I'll know. Very cool. I've been a T rider pretty much all my life and waiting for the bus has always been a faith-based activity. Kudos to the MBTA for encouraging this sort of app and Alex and Vladimir for putting it together.
