Elle us magazine....big problems with this app. I recently purchased a one year subscription. First there was a problem with downing loading the current issue. This was resolved a couple of days later. Next when I went to download the magazine...40 minutes later it was still not downloaded...and I have very fast high speed service. I was able to use the portrait version....but today I went in to look at this issue and the issue is not there...so I have to attempt to download it again...not worth it. I think I wasted my money. So..save yours and don't buy this app. I have downloaded several other magazines...O, Net a Porter, Car & Driver and these work great.

App stopped working properly in January 2023. This app was fine until January 2023. Now, all I get is broken link icons for pages. I cannot see the content at all I’m going to cease my subscription post haste. Don’t waste your money.

Before and after.. New review: Week or so later and I'm finally able to download the magazine with no issues...thank goodness. And after thoroughly inspecting the app for what it truly is...I have to say, it's enjoyable to an extent. I love the digital features I can use to make the reading experience much more wonderful. However, I wish that I could mark the digital pages with writing...or add sticky notes....or circle things right onto the page that capture my attention. Also I'm skeptical about this app after the recent problems. I hope their isn't another mishap. Last review: I am still...like many, unable to download the jan. 2013 issue. The problem isn't my wifi....it's the application it's self. Things like this should be on point and working...especially coming from a magazine like ELLE. One example of why technology couldn't possibly replace print. People pay for digital issues they can't download...it's unprofessional and off point. Hopefully, this problem will be addressed ASAP.

Fix your a already. Elle updated its app last November and it's still consistently buggy. I don't understand how they can't get it right, but my downloading freezes, I constantly have to log in and out and their customer service team pretty much shrugs and says they know the app is a problem. Other brands can do this and by now, Elle should be able to as well. Each month it's a contestant effort to uninstall/reinstall and keep my fingers crossed I will be able to get the mag to download. On my second reinstall and fourth attempt now for her September issue. Elle, you fail.

Wonderful Magazine!. This is a beautiful magazine with some very nice features. I love the subtlety of the corner tabs, which allow you to post to social media sites, browse contents, and add pages to a clipboard. Some features are interactive, allowing for a diverse and interactive experience. The yearly subscription is the best plan. If you like this magazine, I recommend that you subscribe now.

Completely broken, stay away. This is easily the worst ipad app I have seen. When setting it up for a subscription half the screen was in portrait mode, the other half was in landscape, fields went off screen etc. once the subscription was in, paid for etc, the app simply displayed a black screen and now any time it is launched it goes to the black screen and there is no way out of it. Apple should remove this app from the store until the publisher proves they can support it.

Great entertainment for the fashion followers…. I´ve been an Elle subscriber for quite some time. Although, the content and the covers have changed through the years, my admiration for the magazine remains the same! I just wish it was a weekly periodical! 💕

No access to latest issues. It is always very difficult to have access to latest released issues. It always seems like the app is not renewing itself with latest editions. That’s why I stopped my subscription a year ago and now I see that nothing had changed.

Get it Together. Every since the update this app has been horrific. In January due to the update I had to delete and download again in order to gain access to my account. Thought everything would be fine, however, ran into the same exact problem in February Of course it would be wwwwaaaayyyy to simple to be able to just log in your account information yourself. Oh no, you have to email customer service and wait two days for a response. Please "ain't nobody got time for that". I will go back to flipping the actual pages of my magazine.

Will not load. I've been reading ELLE for as long as i can remember. When it became available digitally I was very excited and for the first few versions it was great albeit it did crash a number of occasions I was mostly happy. I downloaded the most recent issue with Angelina on the cover and now it will not load past the splash page. I looked up app support, followed the suggestions, uninstalled and installed again,and emailed support. No reply, no luck. I'd like to know how I'm being charged for content I'm not receiving....not happy at all.

Wish I could give negative stars. FIX IT!!! Seriously it's been weeks since the last update and this app is still useless. If you can't get the "newer better" version to work then at least give us the old version back. Was this app even tested? If I could give negative stars I would. FIX IT!! I'm a print subscriber who until now wished I had a Digital only subscription. I usually toss out the print version and read exclusively from my IPad. Now I wish I had hung onto last months issue. I wasn't done reading it and now, thanks to Elle and their fabulous app upgrade, I may never get to finish it. I emailed customer service and like so many others got no response. Of course 4 days later I got a reminder that my subscription is up for renewal. Not planning to renew unless this gets fixed. Plenty of other fashion mags out there that have functioning apps. Maybe it's time for a change.

Too many ads!!!!. Where’s the fashion?? Where are the fashion articles. A waste.

Sloooow. Same issue as another poster....dont know what's going on with Elle's server but this took at least 30 min to download. BUT, it was well worth the wait. How awesome is it to download the mag and have a digital Copy of it instead of wasting precious apartment space? It also comes with really cool virtual features that allow you to save favorites. Bravo elle! But there must be a way to quicken the download time, no? And, I agree with another poster that issues should not be as expensive as a hard copy...I mean, what better incentive to saving trees than to offer digital issues at a cheaper rate?

Persona non-grata. iPhone app version doesn't recognize that I have both a print and iPad online subscription, and does not allow registration by using print subscription number/information. So now I need to wait for a slow email response which I'm fairly certain will require several back and forths to establish my subscription status to allow iPhone access that should have been simple to obtain :(. Meanwhile, the so-called restore issues in my iPad has no "green download button" so it tries to CHARGE ME for restoring my PAID issues that came with my subscription and does not recognize my email: FURIOUS!!!! Elle clearly didn't bother to test this app for usefriendliness functionality... FIVE DAYS LATER, STILL WAITING To be contacted back: unacceptable: I think it's time to publicize this poor "downgrade" by Tweeting the Universe!

Great content, not great app. I love Elle but the app is clunky. Each time a new issue comes out I have to struggle to repeatedly sign and out and hope that I can I finally get the new issue to download, only to have the app crash and then start the process over again. This has been going on for a long time, get it fixed already! Oh, and I can't even get the new September issue, regardless of how many times I've re entered my password.

Fixed. this app started out as completely dysfunctional. I had paid for a subscription and was furious. I wrote to customer service and now it works perfectly --so far. I do love the app with its interactive features. I got to see all major designers Spring shows! I actually like the digital version better than the print version, and I am an old time print magazine reader.

Fantastic. I haven't really had much interest in print magazines for years. With so much free content available online, paying for a magazine seemed silly. But the iPad version is absolutely worth paying for. It is a pleasure to read and use. I bought one issue to try it out, but I plan to subscribe when the next issue comes out. Great design for the iPad platform. Hope other publishers take note: this is how you make a great iPad magazine.

Too clever for its own good. October issue rendered unreadable in many places by type so large part of every line's obscured as you scroll down (can't seem to pinch it smaller, either). I like bells and whistles, too -- Vanity Fair's are fun -- but they shouldn't get in the way of reading. Also wonder how I can get it to hold my place when I close app. Tired of having to "turn" pages from the cover on every single time. I subscribe to several mags for iPad and wish the experience could be standardized a bit, since each seems to operate differently. Right now, Elle's is among the worst.

Annoying!. Downloaded the app because I already have a subscription to Elle and thought this would be useful. Once downloaded, I put in my subscription number and it tells me my subscription is not active when it most certainly is! I'd really like to use this app cause it will save me room in my purse from not bringing the actual magazine with me to work. Guess I'll have to call the 1800 # in the morning. Pretty sad though!

New update not great. New update not great. Have to wait for pages to download even after downloading the issue. It doesn’t flow like it used to when going to next page. Why is this?

Won't work. This app allowed me to download the new weekly edition, but will not allow me to download the full issues. It loads to 100%, but won't go any further to complete it. When I reopen the app is says there was an error downloading the issue. Please fix, this app has potential! Luckily I am a print subscriber and I can still get my magazine! I am very disappointed in the outcome of this app, please fix!!!

Let subscribers download the new issue as soon as it's available!!!. It's a great app, but it's very frustrating that I have to wait for my renewal date (the 26th of the month) in order to download the next issue even though I'm a monthly subscriber to the iPad edition. Why cant I download it as soon as it's available? I'll raise my rating as soon as this is fixed.

Bad update. Elle should see a sharp decrease in online readership.. I wish I could comment on the content of the app, but I'm still trying to get it to recognize my account. I'm going on two weeks attempting get a resolution. Getting a note that issues won't be resolved over the long Thanksgiving weekend are rather annoying considering this isn't my first attempt at a resolution. I never write reviews, but this is just insanely frustrating. Elle, I'm disappointed in your total lack of QC on this update.

Absolutely horrible. I've been an Elle print subscriber for 5 years and have recently converted to the digital edition. I have had nothing but trouble with the app since I purchased the $20 year subscription. Issues don't download correctly, it constantly loses my account info and says my subscription has expired, it shows up with blank pages. I think I've re downloaded the app at least 5 times. I absolutely hate it. Reading Elle used to be enjoyable, now it's a miserable experience

Excellent App for ELLE Mag Lovers!. The app is great because it lets you download the new issue straight to your iPad! There are great features on each page and it is a very quick download. I would definitely recommend this app.

Not worth a star anymore. The magazine does not recognize print subscriptions anymore. Now, Hearst wants a person to pay for separate subscriptions for print and digital access. I see no reason to buy the same intellectual content twice, especially in a buggy, clunky format! This will be my last Elle subscription. As I am doing with the other Hearst magazines I have subscribed to in the past, I will not be renewing Elle until Hearst's policy on digital access is changed. Hearst's loss will be Condé Nast's gain.

Fantastic. I only wish there was more than a 5 minute preview period.

Does not work. Have tried multiple times to download the magazines. Have had Elle email me twice trying to assist me and still I can not download the magazine. I have asked for a refund and can not get any response.

Rip-off. I paid in March for an annual subscription, but when April was available it didn't auto download. I tapped the cover and was charged full cover price for April. Now the May issue is available and I can't seem to download it without being asked to pay for it again. This is a problem that needs to be fixed, or I think I and others who have this issue should be given a refund. I effectively paid 20 bucks for 2 issues. Unbelievable

Slam Dunk. I am torn between the print and the digital, the digital issues are so amazing and brilliantly thought out, that I was floored when I finally learned how to operate it to receive a truly one of a kind interactive experience, one that I am afraid that print cannot offer. But nevertheless I guess I will just have to have both, hey this is Elle were talking about, enough said. Michele

So slow!. The one and only complaint I have after using this app is how slow it takes to download issues. I have a subscrition for the print edition and thought it would be cool to view them electronically and give the magazines to my girlfriends. Except I usually get the mag in the Mail the same day the issue is ready for download. The March issue took me close to 45 minutes to download. I had no other apps running and full wireless signal. I could have read most of the print magazine in that amount of time.

“ELLE MY BELLE”. I have been an Elle reader and subscriber since American Elle caught my creative eye in 1983. Frankly?, no one but NO ONE was producing covers and spread-layouts like the GREAT GREAT Gilles Bensimon. Every month his covers (and talented others), “PUNCHED!” me and the world in our individual and collective faces. Literally. It was many many years later that I even remotely considered the other publications. The covers hit you in the face, then the actual spreads got you “hooked”. Truth. It was because of Elle that I have written a monthly column for 5+ years, as well as shooting fashion editorials. When Elle turned 30 I wrote a piece celebrating its social and artistic significance and influence. Even met the ex editor and chief Robbie Mayer’s at the opening of the Elle Spa on Miami Beach. She gave me some good advice too. Elle is “family” to me. They need to give MORE opportunity to non-famous industry people and stop thinking that only famous and or infamous people are the ONLY people doing things. Seriously. Be well guys. Cannot access any of my magazines. At the moment I cannot access any of magazines and it is very frustrating. The update has basically made my magazine subscription useless since I cannnot access any of them. It just needs to be easy. It was easy before. Why complicate things. I understand you've made improvements that sound great if they actually work. So until that time I have to waste tons of time reading through FAQ to figure out what's up and still cannot access anything.

Elle Digital September Issue. For info to Hearst Publications Inc I have purchased the above mentioned September in all good faith but the download process was frozen & to date the download App failed & nothing was done by ITunes an Hearst despite my repeated complaints & request for a solution. how can I rate this except zero though I have been compelled to rate it otherwise the submit operation is not activated. Elle!!. Dear Elle magazine, I love the convince of having this app on my phone. Whenever I'm needing a new magazine I can just jump on the app and get just what I need. I also love that it is paperless, it is the future of magazine. Buttttt I do have to say one little thing, oh how I love turning the pages to a magazine. It feels my heart with joy when i image what could possibly be up next on the pages. The pages just adds to the dramatic effect of what's next. It holds the position of what is on deck; per-say. I love the crinkle of the page when it turns. It's almost as exciting as Christmas day when you tare the rapping off a gift! But this is almost as good. Second best if you asked me. But😌 I like it! Thanks Joshalyn Ps. This was a tad bit dramatic but you get the point😘

Please update for iPhone X. Screen is so small on iPhone X, please update.

try doing this. I was having the same problem I think as a bunch of other ppl - something about having an invalid subscription. I emailed the help email at Elle and this is what they said to do: "Please open the app while in portrait mode (so the button is at the bottom). In the ELLE Store tab (the SECOND tab), there will be a button in the top right corner that says "Missing issues?" Click that and follow the instructions." After doing this I got it working! I recommend trying this if anyone else is having the same problem I was.

What happened!?? It keeps crashing!!!. Update: 12/22-what is going on with the format of the magazine. It now reads like a scanned version of the paper magazine instead of an interactive magazine app like in the past. Please make it like before which is back to interactive so the videos can be viewed, etc. Update: 11/15-started crashing again today after the update was installed. Seems to need another fix!!! All of a sudden I can't open the app. It keeps crashing. Deleted and downloaded again. Also shut down the iPad and it still doesn't work. Please provide an update!

New issues will not load. I love the concept of this app, and when my issues do load, they are wonderful. But, I paid for a year subscription and every time I log in, it always shows the May issue as the most current issue. I know for a fact that the June issue is out on News stands and you can buy it on Zinio, so why is it not loading as the most current issue?? If this bug gets fixed, my rating will definitely be 5 stars because it is otherwise an awesome app!

I've got it now... and love it. I contacted the Elle folks at their help email and they were super helpful, got back to me right away so now I can enjoy the May issue. Try hitting "missing issues" and enter your password if you are having problems...worked for me!

Free Downloads If You. Thank you for acknowledging your current subscribers with a free download. It would be great if other magazines followed this business model. The app gives you interesting features like being able to double tap on products to see it full screen with additional product info. It also has a great interactive table of contents and ability to store items on a virtual inspiration cork board. My only complaint: The normal ads are still in the magazine. In addition, there is an aggressive Gucci ad that keep interrupting the experience. If you were in a store, it would be like a Gucci rep giving you the same sales pitch every time you walked up to a new rack. If it were a magazine, it would be like having the same fold out ad every few pages. It gets really annoying really fast. Other than the annoying interruptive ad, Elle is one of the few magazines that's setting a standard for the potential of digital subscriptions. Can't wait to see where else they take it. Great job.

This is a great application!. I have read some of the other reviews, and honestly i just don't understand. The app has never crashed when downloading (I have to confess it has crashed I think 5 times in the year that I have had it). I also find it very easy to navigate. Now, if you are flipping from the front, to the back, back to the front, to that one specific page that had "that advertisement that you remember from that time", then it might be a little annoying to navigate. And to anyone who has a question on "How to get back to your magazine collection?", you simply press the upper left corner, and all of the different sections will come up, along with a big "Elle" logo. Tap the Elle logo, and you're home. I hope that helped people. But honestly, this is a great app if you love Elle.

Great Content; Terrible Optimization. I vaguely remember this being optimized for iPad and iPad Pro - now it's not. E.g., clickable links and optimized pages (not screenshots that you slide over) that make the consumption experience compatible with your mobile device. In addition, the page size doesn't even fit the screen - regardless of which device you're viewing on. If you want to know how it's done right, see the Vogue app. Love Elle, but I hate this app.

Not like before. I like the Fave button and being able to do my own fashion scrapbook . . . just like before. The star icon is grayed out on some pages that I like to fave. That would have been a good bookmark.

Feels Authentic. The Elle USA app has found a nice balance of allowing viewers to read a fashion magazine via the app while still feeling as if you’re flipping through the pages of a printed copy bought at a newsstand. Some of the tricks and cool tech features used by other apps can be frustrating and really interfere with the flow of the reader experience. Not here. Yet, the images are visually stunning and the graphics are are tastefully accessible. This app does rnot feel as if they’re trying to be “beyond cool”. Also, special nod to Nina Garcia and team for putting out a September issue with style and content that not only makes me inspired for fashion, but for the new beginnings that come with the fall season. There’s still that comfortable familiarity of flipping through tons of beautiful ads before reaching the masthead. Thanks for keeping thing authentic.

Love this app!. Totally impressed with this app- everything from the functionality (LOVE the personal stylist feature and inspiration board especially!) far exceeded my expectation for a fashion magazine in the iPad! Also, I had no issues downloading- not sure what that's about. May want to try updating all software?

The MOST FRUSTRATING APP, EVER. I have over 30 magazine apps and this is the only one that does not complete downloading AT ANY TIME. If it makes it past the first phase (rarely), it cannot make it all the way through the "unzipping" phase. I've deleted the app completely several times and started the whole process again...never works. I've called CS assistance more than once, including speaking with tech help...never works. Before this app was updated it was fine but now it is a joke...although I've ceased laughing. It is a piece of GARBAGE. (Wish I could give it 0 stars but it won't let the rating fly.)

SUBSCRIBERS NO LONGER SUPPORTED. After updating to the new version, all of the issues I had previously downloaded disappeared. Thinking it was a bug, I called Elle customer service, and was informed that since the magazine was sold to Hearst Magazines, subscribers will no longer be able to download the issues for free, and issues already downloaded will no longer be available. Unless the supervisor I spoke to gave me incorrect information, there is no longer a reason for current subscribers to download this app thinking they will be able to also download a digital copy.

couldnt load any of my previous and latest issued. is it only mine or other's also having problem with the subs? Not cool

March??. February was 1st month I subscribed too I loved it. March....still waiting . March is on newstand already . Why can't I download it yet on my IPad?..

Sad. Feb version won't load. Updated app shuts down every time I try loading.

Don't Subscribe. After downloading and paying for 1 year's digital subscription, I was only able to successfully download 5 issues before it randomly stopped recognizing my subscription. I contacted Hearst digital apps support via email. They responded with a cursory "check to see if your settings and see if your subscription is active"... I responded back, but was cast off into the "ignore" pile. I am not upset about the money... it's the principle. As a customer with a valid issue, I think it should be addressed even if there is no immediate resolution. I would have preferred a "Sorry, I don't know how we can resolve this at the moment. But we will look into it" rather than being ignored. That's so unprofessional. When the application was working, I enjoyed the magazine and have been a subscriber to the print copy for years. I loved the concept of having my magazines with me without the bulk! But given my recent problems and the company's lack of support, I have decided to unsubscribe from all Hearst Publications. Even though my other magazines have been working fine up till now, I can't be sure that they will continue to work and be supported. There are many other companies that offer a similar content... I guess it's time for me to start choosing them!

Elle Mar. 2013 won't download. Just purchased the Mar. 2013 Elle magazine and it won't download. This is the 1st and last time I purchase online. I'll be purchasing the print version from now on. Question; how do I get a refund from the I-store?

Poor Preview. The preview was awful, just a scanned tiny bit of the magazine. Not sure if they understand the capabilities of the device on which they are now showing the magazine. I had hoped this would be one of my first subscriptions, but unlike VF which blew me away, I will not be subscribing to this yet.

Glitches. Got stuck in the preview. Can't get out of it and can't seem to uninstall. Couldn't buy it if I wanted to.

Elle US. I am confused! I am unable to download my latest purchased Elle mag. My iPad is 'stuck' on a preview of November. Help!!!

Major disapointment!. After over an hour, the february issue is still downloading!!! Will likely ask for a refund.

Citigirl Not very informed. Zinio does the same rich media that appears in the Elle Mag, for a whole host Publishers. The Publisher decides if they want it embedded in the magazine because there is a cost associated with the technology. Now you know!

This is a great app. I like this app because the things that its packed full of is amazing so try it out you'll like it if your into this type of stuff.

Horrible. This is a horrible app, I don't understand why anyone would use it! It takes too long to download each issue, and when you read it, you can't go back to your home screen no matter how hard you try! Please add a "Back to Home Screen" button somewhere so we can switch from one issue to the next. Thanks.

Immersive. The interactivity is beyond most of the simple page-flip magazine apps I've seen, which is a huge plus—actually takes advantage of the iPad's unique features.

Horoscope Glitch. Overall beautiful magazine- however the horoscope shows only the correct daily- the weekly and monthly display March but it's MAY! Even I can figure out what happened two months ago! Come on! Elle used to be one of the few magazines with a decent horoscope.

Great Elle Reader. Works fine on my iPad Air 2. Especially enjoy ability save pics to my camera roll and pin on Pinterest. Great way to go through my old paper issues before discarding. Only digital from now on...

Errors, bugs and reboots, oh my!. I'm a subscriber to your print version and should be able to get the iPad version. Cool. Great. Reboots, reinstalls and re-entering the account info and yet I still get errors. It says I'm authenticated (grats, me) but then it errors-out again and again on downloads. I hope this version is better than the preview... assuming you get the authentication issue resolved.

Current Issues. Where is May? If the issue is on the stands you should be able to download it. I paid for a whole year and April is the last issue you can download. I know other magazine I subscribe to I can download as soon as you can buy them in print or before. Come on ELLE!

Don't Waste Time & Money. Basically paid $19 for a single issue of this magazine. Nothing I've tried for the past week has gotten the app to notice that a new issue is available, and there seems to be no way to contact Elle from within the app. Repeated pleas via Twitter don't work... Next up? Begging iTunes for a refund?!

The Future is now!. Finally, a full featured magazine app! I was so tired of seeing straight pdf page turners, not what the iPad was developed for. Definitely worth getting, the magazine is full of useful information!

Home ?. Time to relocate the person who thought itd be a great marketing idea having poor to 3rd grade navigational abilities, thus forcing us to view each ad. Fail concept, i deleted my iPad subscription and will not renew the paper subscription. The publishing business is having a real hard time adapting to the new world. You get one chance in the world today and you blew it big time.

Not User Friendly. This app is very confusing to navigate. It is also frustrating that when browsing the magazine in portrait or landscape, then flipping to the other orientation, the page you were on is gone and you are at the beginning of the magazine. Change your orientation back and you are back to your page, a very weird and annoying bug.

Latest Update Disaster. The most recent app update has deleted all of my account information, as well as the ability to log in and retrieve previous editions. It only provides an option to purchase issues or a new subscription. I already have a subscription, yet the app can't retrieve this information. This is not the first, but the latest in a long long line of app upgrade disasters with this subscription app. What a disappointment.

Appalling. Not sharing anything new, but still wanted to add my experience. After I downloaded the updated app, all of my previous issues were deleted. I also contacted Elle Customer (doesn't) Care, and they verified my subscription, yet I am still without the digital copies. Horrendous doesn't even begin to describe the majorly epic fail of this app. It constantly freezes or just shuts down; issues take forever to download (if you can actually download them); every app "update" causes previously downloaded issues to be deleted. Elle is a waste of my money. Wish there was a 1/2 star rating.

Subscription. The subscription works fine in ios 5, but not ios 6. Looks like iOS 6 is very buggy.

Difficult to read. Tis is a very poor app. I do not know whether they are going after some kind of aesthetic but you have to scroll within picture frames to see a picture, you can't see it all at once, fonts in boxes are huge and you can't read the stories. It's weird. The app was actually better before.

Awful!!. I've had issues with Elle digital from day one (over a year ago) and this update is by far the biggest. After writing them, they blamed it on Apple...weird because my 7 other magazines have zero issues! I still have not been able to get the November or December issue. I'm behind irritated with this subscription, not sure why they can't get their technical team together.

Sad long-time subscriber. I've been an Elle subscriber for many years and enjoyed having both the digital and print option. Unfortunately I didn't renew on time and now will only have digital access if I pay an additional subscription fee. As if that's not bad enough, I lost digital access to all the prior months that had been on my iPad. This just doesn't seem like the right way to treat loyal customers.

Can't open issue. I never had a problem with this app on reading previous issues. However for the march 2013 I cannot access it like other reviewers I see a black screen. But I can still open my old issues. I'm not sure if its because of the app or its because of this months issue please fix soon thanks!

Worst Update Ever. This update makes me want to return paper subscriptions again. It is not recognizing my subscription, it only buffers when I attempt to restore my prior purchased and downloaded issues. How can I cancel this subscription and obtain a refund for the issues I can not access? Apple should include the skull and crossbones icon to rate a horrible app. This update deserves no stars.

Takes 7 minutes to load 1 article. I have had the Elle app on my iPad for 7 years and with the most recent update, I haven't been able to download a single article. Each article downloads as you go, but they take 7-10 minutes to download-- longer than it takes to read. Literally the worst app I've ever downloaded.

Where's the button to cancel my subscription?. UGH!!! Since I haven't been able to cancel my #@$! subscription I've been trying to make the best of the darn Elle app. Imagine my disgust with the current July issue when every third swipe results in a full screen advert!! It's like having someone between your legs reaching up every few minutes and tossing a hot brick in your lap.

automatically renews subscription without warning. App and iTunes automatically renew the year subscription and take the $20 out of your account without asking if you want to renew. After much searching found that I had to have clicked not to automatically renew within iTunes. Now I am out money for a magazine I never even read on the iPad. Very disappointed, after all the money I already spend with Apple. Be forewarned.

Not downloading. Just downloaded the app and had no issues entering my account number to be able to access the tablet edition, but neither the December nor January issue will download. It says it is due to my Internet connection, but I've been on two different WiFi connections from different companies as well as a personal hot spot and nothing! There is definitely a BUG with this app. PLEASE update!

Annoying interface. I find this to be the most user UNfriendly on any of my magazines. You can't switch from landscape to portrait and keep your place, and if you exit before finishing it doesn't keep your place in the magazine, but starts you at the beginning, which would be ok if there were a book mark function. PLEASE keep working to fix those problems!

Terrible update. I'm a print subscriber and can't access my digital issues since the update. I've used their contact form 3 times with no response. I will not resubscribe to this magazine with this poor customer service. You would think someone would read all these negative reviews and fix this problem. Don't subscribe to this magazine, and don't update if you haven't already.

Top App. I love having all my books/mags on my iPad, it is SO convenient. Elle's app looks amazing and is so easy to navigate...definitely worth it!

Fix It!!!. I have tried every suggestion provided in order to download my digital subscription. This problem persists despite the recommended solutions. I am a longtime print subscriber with digital access. Now, since the recent update, I am unable to download any digital editions. What the heck is going on? It appears that I am not alone! Someone needs to fix this ASAP!!!

love this app!. Just spoke with ELLE Customer service, and I was able to access my old issues by hitting the "Missing issues?" button in the top right corner of the ELLE Store tab. I did this after updating in iTunes. Love this app!

Great App. I have now not had any problems downloading the issue onto my iPad & it looks even better. My favorite is the tap-to-buy feature!!

Help!. Despite taking a long time to download new issues, I am also frustrated with another thing... How do I get back to my library after I'm done reading a new issue?! I have been trying to figure out how for like an hour now. So frustrating! Please fix it so there is a tool bar or something!!

Magazine is fine; otherwise buggy. If you think you're going to be able to cancel easily on the app, think again. Unsurprisingly, every time I try to cancel my subscription, the app has an error. Support, in general, is buggy, and my email received no replies. Will try, try again. The magazine shows up fine tho.

Needs improvement. This app doesn't let subscribers get the latest issue as soon as it is available. As far as I'm concerned this problem makes the app pointless.

Great magazine, terrible app. Since the revamp of this app a few months ago, I've had to delete and re-install the app every month for it to recognize my account. Now, with yet another update, the app crashes before I can even get to 'My Library.' I'm completely up to date on my operating system, so I don't know why this is happening. I'm assuming a poor QA system. Please fix this -- I love this magazine, but this is really frustrating.

Issues not opening. It used to be that I could reliably open an issue by tapping on a cover, but now this isn't the case. Lately if I tap on a cover to view, I get a black screen (with only the inspiration board in a corner and the mail/fb/twitter etc options in another corner. No magazine! It is frustrating because I have paid for this IPad-only subscription and don't receive the print version.

Screwy App-Buyer Beware. Horrible app that not only doesn't work, it messes up your system. Wouldn't download my subscription. Said I was subscribed but would never complete the magazine download. System froze. Did hard reset to get things back to operating, but I still have some problems even though I deleted the app. I've cancelled my subscription. It's a pity because I really like the magazine.

LAME. This app is incredibly annoying. I barely ever review but I went out of my way to warn the others - its hard to navigate, annoying ads keep interrupting the reading, it's graphically unpleasant due to numerous "corners" and "margins" that make it look like there's lint on your screen. It's far far better to go and buy the actual magazine, yet after wasting 4 dollars, I'm so angry I'll need time to get over it and enjoy Elle again

So good!. This is a great app. I’ve been an ELLE subscriber for years, and love that I can now access the issues on my iPad, completely FREE! The added interactivity is such a bonus.

HORRIBLE: do not download!. Like everyone else, this app will not recognize me nor will it let me download issues I have ALREADY PAID FOR! How is Elle going to compensate customers for these since they are clearly not making any efforts to fix the app? Why should anyone bother buying issues if Elle won't actually let you view them? Big miss here. Not a good way to treat your (formerly) loyal customers!

Tech spoiled. I love this app and magazine. I prefer the app to the paper mag because I have a bad habit of not reading my paper magazines but will actually read the mag via this app. So much awesome stuff to read and trends to see

App can't download new issues of magazine. I just purchased a yearly subscription and the Elle app keeps crashing and won't download new issues. An error message asks me if it can forward this problem to Elle, but this doesn't help the fact that I paid for a yearly subscription and can't get hold of Elle technical support to solve this issue or get a refund.

Great app. Love the features and options on each page. A lot of thought/ creativity went into creating this one.

Love this app. I have read Elle for years and finally just got an iPad so this was one of the first apps I downloaded. I was surprised at how easy the app was to navigate & how great the pages looked. Def recommend it!

doesn't work!. I have the same issue as the others who have commented; I am subscribed to the print version but when I tried to download the ipad version, nothing comes up but a black screen with tabs. very disappointed as one of the main reasons I got an ipad was to enjoy my magazines on it. hopefully with enough of this type of feedback, the issue will be addressed soon.
